00:00:37.640We come to you on what could be a very historic moment.
00:00:42.640The fact of the matter is that this republic right now is caught in the vortex of some rather bruising and difficult currents that are trying to tear the republic apart.
00:00:59.100And by that I'm talking about we have a handful of republicans who are standing against the ramparts trying their very best to stop what is an outrageous sellout to the surveillance state.
00:01:14.400By the way, that sellout is led by Mike Johnson, the Speaker of the House.
00:01:20.020He is sold out again to the Biden administration.
00:01:23.220He is sold out again to the Marxist Dems.
00:01:25.660He's sold out again to the rhino establishment Republicans and, of course, the swap that makes them all possible.
00:01:34.580We are fortunate to have with us today Congressman Andy Biggs, a true American, a great American, representing the interests of we, the governed, and we, the people.
00:01:48.120And by the way, without those who like Congressman Biggs, who are actually standing up against the powers that be in the nation's capital, this story would already have a conclusion.
00:02:03.080And it would not be a very pretty story.
00:02:05.880It would mean that Joe Biden had won and the forces of evil that make up the deep state and in the intelligence community would have prevailed over we citizens.
00:02:15.960And I'm delighted to bring in now Congressman Andy Biggs.
00:02:21.860He is, as I said, a patriot with great credentials and a strong heart.

00:02:32.120I have to say, to begin with, right now there's a contest between your Speaker of the House of Representatives,
00:02:40.640Mike Johnson and the forces of liberty, the heartbeat of the country, the American people.
00:02:49.600He wants the FBI, the CIA, you name it, to spy on American citizens at will.
00:02:58.680Your thoughts, I know, are on point and strongly opposed to that.
00:03:05.860Give us your sense of this moment right now, if you would, Congressman.
00:03:09.280Well, as so many times over the last few years that I've been in Congress and that I've had the opportunity to talk to you, Lou,
00:03:18.820where once again, another inflection point, the surveillance state, which all Americans know exists.
00:03:28.920If you're right or left in your political leanings, you have watched the surveillance state watch into people's lives and basically try to take control of them.
00:03:40.520So what we have going on here is is the Speaker has, for whatever reason, acquiesced into the intelligence community who likes to be able to surveil U.S.
00:03:53.920persons, people who are legally in this country, citizens, you know.
00:03:57.340So when I think about it, what might we do?
00:04:02.480Well, for one thing, you could have gotten rid of completely a FISA authority.
00:04:06.120But then there's but there's other ways that they would get around it.
00:04:11.180But we can talk about that another time.
00:04:15.120In just talking to one of my friends who is in the intelligence communities, on the intelligence committee here, he said, Andy, we should just take away all FISA authority away from the FBI.
00:04:34.180Because when you think about it, that makes sense, because currently CIA, NSA, they have no legal authority to surveil American citizens.
00:04:42.740And the FBI is using the FISA to abuse the FISA authorities to actually, you know, basically surveil Americans and search their records and stuff.
00:04:55.460Why don't we, why don't we, why don't we, that would be one thing to do.
00:05:00.120My bill, my underlying bill that the speaker basically killed, that would have had massive reforms in it.
00:05:09.440And now what they do is they've got this kind of consensus bill.
00:05:12.900And they told us, and we said, well, we'll acquiesce in some of those things because you've got punishment against people who abuse FISA, et cetera.
00:05:56.340He's behaving as if he were a high school sophomore.
00:06:00.120He is naive beyond belief or he's arrogant beyond compare because he's acting as if he is the only person who understands the stakes and what should be the limits of power in the swamp.
00:07:01.940Because there's I cannot find another rational explanation for his conversion and his now bending of the knee.
00:07:11.060He is prostrate across the ground now begging for a surrender of American constitutional rights before the great IEC, the intelligence community and the deep state.
00:07:38.380So I'll finish my other point real quick, because, Lou, when you think about it, we all know that the FBI and the IC intelligence community have basically lied to Americans for the last seven years.
00:07:54.780And so he he ostensibly he believes them when they're telling him, you know, if you if you have a warrant there, we're not going to be able to prevent the next international terrorist event.
00:08:46.500But what I can tell you is they are leveraging him with fear.
00:08:50.500And he is believing the same people that he knows has lied to the American people.
00:08:55.340He's believing them when they say, oh, man, you put Biggs's warrant requirement in there.
00:09:00.380We just can't we can't enforce the law, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
00:09:04.220And for some reason, he believes that.
00:09:06.440We're going to talk about what the speaker believes and doesn't believe.
00:09:10.300But most importantly, we're going to talk about what Congressman Biggs has put forward as a solution to this in his legislation that, as he pointed out, Speaker Johnson killed.

00:13:09.260Well, let's take up a couple of examples of what you're talking about when you start talking about the, if you will, the fear machine in the in the institution of the CIA.
00:13:22.580Almost two weeks ago, they said that there would be within 48 hours an attack on Israel.
00:13:29.800Bold face, straightforward, no qualification, no equivocation.
00:13:35.380And here we are in the week following, obviously, some 10 days have transpired.
00:13:42.060And suddenly we don't have any explanation.
00:13:45.560The clandestine agency that has been so forward, public and outrageously wrong.
00:13:51.260No one is holding them to account in that media, of course.
00:13:54.520And certainly not enough people, in my opinion, in the Republican Party have pointed out that this is pure fear tactics, pure propaganda, disinformation, misinformation and for a political purpose, which is to achieve Biden's aim of getting Netanyahu to declare a unilateral ceasefire and let Hamas win.
00:14:15.680Netanyahu isn't playing, but no one in the national media is pointing out how strong he has been, how absolute resolute Benjamin Netanyahu and the Israeli government is in this moment when they're being attacked by the United Nations, almost every nation within it.
00:14:32.840And, of course, by their strongest ally, the United States, in the form of the Biden regime.
00:15:29.400Well, so they so the speaker gets worried and he pulls the bill.
00:15:34.880And then we go get the classified briefing.
00:15:37.040And I won't say who who pulls the bill.
00:15:40.040The speaker in response to the misinformation and deflection of Mike Turner, who caused an international incident that, you know, thank goodness that the Democrat ranking members came out and said, this is a nothing burger.
00:15:55.560We see this thing two or three times a month at least.
00:15:59.020And by the way, I can't tell you what's in it because it was classified.
00:16:01.880I had to go to the classified room to read it.
00:16:06.200There's four of us sitting around the table reading it.
00:16:08.020And we're like, what what what is what what's the incident?
00:16:13.520You know, and that's the way they operate.
00:16:16.380And then they let me be straightforward, if I may, because I think your rules of conduct and consideration will prove it, preempt you if you felt the way I do.
00:16:27.300Mike Turner is a absolutely unprincipled tool of the intelligence community and the deep state.
00:16:36.120And the man has no honor, no integrity whatsoever.
00:16:40.300And he is he he is abhorrent in every manner one could imagine for a chairman of a committee so important as that of intelligence.
00:16:49.460In point of fact, for any leadership position at all within actually any membership in the United States Congress, in my opinion.
00:17:34.360And you and you basically forfeit your shot, in my opinion, to be the the chairman of the intelligence committee, which is, by the way, that's the only committee in Congress that you serve strictly at the privilege of the speaker of the House.
00:17:50.840And Mike Johnson, and Mike Johnson could have, would have, I don't know if he would have, but he certainly should have removed him.
00:17:59.460I mean, they get they get pissed off because we take down a rule and yet and force them to to actually negotiate and work in good faith and that type of thing.
00:18:08.720But they don't get mad enough to remove somebody who causes an international incident.
00:18:14.400That's that's that's how how screwed up this place is.
00:18:19.080I want to say that, again, it's another example of why I believe that Speaker Mike Johnson approximates more a high school sophomore than a leader of the United States Congress.
00:18:30.840It's just mind boggling what he is doing to the to the Congress, to its standing and to the American people in this great republic.
00:18:41.700It is a one man assault on the on the national interest.
00:18:46.260And I'm just I find him abhorrent now.
00:18:49.840He has reached a point where his he's plays Hamlet.
00:18:55.700He's never quite sure he has excuses and he ignores the will of both his conference and the American people.

00:21:18.000There's just maybe two or three reforms worth of Tinker's Dam in that thing, because because that's that's that's just the way they operate.
00:21:26.940They put in a provision in there that in five years, when you come back to the reauthorization, by the way, they do that five years and it stretches beyond any the next administration.
00:21:38.400But but in that five years, when that's over, all the ostensible reforms go away and you revert back to the FISA authorities that you have pre reforms that that's absurd.
00:22:13.380You see it in this this notion of forming essentially a coalition government with the Democrats where where the Democrats are called in to to bail out the speaker every time.
00:22:25.840Where you where you have on continuing resolutions where more Republicans vote no than Republicans vote yes.
00:22:33.120That's that's a coalition government like Europe.
00:22:36.220And that that's the type of thing where I find myself saying, don't get mad at me for wanting a process that's supposed to be Republican nature.
00:22:45.280Don't tell me I'm not part of a team when the when my team is my constituents.
00:22:58.240My team isn't a bunch of party folks who are coming in there and and getting mad at us and saying, oh, you're forcing us to do things we don't want to do.
00:23:07.340Hey, that's part of the system, buddy.
00:23:10.520We're going to do all we can to make sure we get good policy through and try to protect the republic.
00:23:15.940Well, because of your opposition to so much of what is in that that legislation, the so-called reauthorization, the American people have a far better understanding of what the stakes are and how outrageous it is.
00:23:33.720But I think at bedrock, this comes down to a couple of things.
00:23:37.120One is, to me at least, I believe it means that the FBI and in no respect should ever be engaged in spying on U.S. citizens.
00:23:47.800They should be no part of the national security apparatus.
00:23:52.520The intelligence community take the national security division right out of the FBI, put them back into law enforcement and get them the hell away from politics.
00:24:00.960And in every instance that they've had an opportunity to use those powers of surveillance, they've shredded the Constitution.
00:24:09.420They've used it for political purposes and in support of the Marxist Dems.
00:24:15.060But whether they were Marxists or whether they were conservatives, they're the wrong people to have in our political system trampling the Constitution.
00:25:07.200When I talk about this, I'm talking about a minority of my Republican colleagues together with the Democrats.
00:25:12.460They just gave another $200 million for a new facility to the FBI.
00:25:18.420That's what they did instead of actually holding the FBI accountable.
00:25:23.080And my friend from the IC Intelligence Committee yesterday who said, Andy, we just need to take away any authority in this in this area from the FBI.
00:25:38.600And I know that you have been at the forefront of trying to bring sense, reason, judgment, and if you will, keep the Constitution pure and whole.
00:25:54.420We all of the above are under assault now by the Marxist Dems and also the weak need fools like Mike Johnson, who haven't the courage to stand up for what makes them possible.
