The Great America Show - REP. BIGGS： SPEAKER JOHNSON SEEMS TO BE ON HIS WAY OUT COME JAN 3

00:00:00.000 hello everybody and welcome to the great america show it's great to have you with us thanks so

00:00:06.740 much for joining us today it's officially one month until president trump heads back to the

00:00:11.480 oval office january 20th will he be sworn in and well on his way to making america great again

00:00:17.080 we're just a few days from christmas and mike johnson seems to be the gift that keeps on giving

00:00:22.260 he's gotten himself into another pickle again he promised us time and time again that he wouldn't

00:00:28.240 get us into one of these situations where we're in the 11th hour the end of december going into the

00:00:34.320 new year and we've got to pass a budget or in this case a continuing resolution a cr as he likes to

00:00:41.460 call it or as they like to call it in dc the first one johnson proposed over 1500 pages of of nonsense

00:00:50.400 you go through some of the main points in it now i'll be honest with you i didn't read the 1500

00:00:55.480 pages because i didn't have four days to read it or three days to read it but you go through some

00:01:02.560 of the main points through it and there's just so much nonsense in it uh whether it be provisions that

00:01:07.880 would stifle rfk jr from doing certain things when he's sworn in uh as hhs secretary now this cr would

00:01:15.360 have went through march if passed this first one that johnson proposed you then look at some other

00:01:20.760 provisions that were in it and and one of them let congress block subpoenas for house data including

00:01:25.720 emails potentially preventing any investigation into the january 6 committee now why would mike

00:01:31.040 johnson have anything to do with a bill that would do something like that johnson followed donald trump

00:01:37.260 around like a puppy dog for the last few months followed him to ufc events jumped in photo bombs on

00:01:43.080 the trump force one acted like he was president trump's best friend but why would mike johnson sit here

00:01:49.260 and try to stab president trump in the back just a month before he's set to be sworn back into office

00:01:56.360 and try to sneak through a cr like we've seen uh him try to do on this first one president trump not

00:02:03.660 happy about what mike johnson tried to pull asked uh by a reporter from nbc garren hakey does he still

00:02:11.900 have confidence meaning president trump confidence in mike johnson president trump saying quote we'll see

00:02:17.340 what they had yesterday was unacceptable referring to speaker johnson's obviously continuing resolution

00:02:22.840 quote in many ways it was unacceptable it's a democratic trap that doesn't sound like a man

00:02:29.300 president trump is very direct with his words uh we all know that uh that doesn't sound like a man who's

00:02:34.760 got much confidence in mike johnson so we'll see on january 3rd when it comes time for speaker's election

00:02:39.800 if mike johnson will be back in his job as speaker the budget fight was one the debt ceiling was one

00:02:47.700 that lou knew very much about uh an economist by trade spoke about it often just about a year ago

00:02:55.480 we were in this very similar situation lou joined our friend john solomon and amanda head over on just

00:03:01.860 the news uh on real america's voice and he had this to say i want to roll this clip for you if we can

00:03:07.760 just so you can see how ahead of the game lou was how on top of the game lou was and how in tuned he

00:03:15.900 was this is it from a year ago and it still rings true the similarities to now today take a listen

00:03:22.520 how important is it that they come back in january and get a down payment on reducing uh the national

00:03:29.720 deficit the national debt i have to say and this may may surprise you john amanda i i'm not sure

00:03:37.600 that the down payment is as important as the way in which they proceed uh they should be in regular

00:03:43.920 order they should be moving these appropriations bills forward individually single subject bills

00:03:50.100 and they should do uh i would love it if they could reduce the the federal spending i i'm doubtful

00:03:56.820 right now i am not convinced that uh speaker johnson is sufficiently conservative or sufficiently

00:04:04.920 committed uh to doing what is uh as you put it there uh you know the right thing which is to

00:04:11.240 reduce federal spending but we're not i just don't believe we're going to see it and i will settle

00:04:16.380 for at least an organized and informed debate and amendments and uh appropriations that uh that move

00:04:26.720 forward i i can't i even now i can't believe that they didn't at least get that done uh last year

00:04:33.560 i this this uh this congress is under immense pressure to prove themselves uh this speaker right now

00:04:41.200 is in my opinion he's done some in uh some things that are great including getting his conference

00:04:47.560 to vote uh unanimously on the impeachment inquiry i i think that was a major major achievement uh i i on the

00:04:57.000 uh including slipping in the 702 section uh 702 of the fise act into a must uh a must pass bill like

00:05:06.440 ndaa uh i find that reprehensible frankly yeah isn't that something folks that was a year and may

00:05:14.780 lose soul rest in peace we miss him every single day on the show i know you guys miss him i certainly miss

00:05:20.800 him um i miss my best friend but isn't it interesting now that we look almost a year later

00:05:27.500 that was in uh january of 2024 so earlier this year isn't it amazing we look now like i said 11 months

00:05:35.220 later and the similarities we find ourself in mike johnson ran he promised us that we were going to

00:05:41.900 get 12 appropriations bill we were going to get these things through there was going to be no issues

00:05:45.180 he doesn't have one of them ready right now the man's been in office for some time now

00:05:50.240 has no plan um what happened to the single subject bills like lou mentioned mike johnson promised us

00:05:56.920 we were not getting any more of these nonsensical 1500 page bills that nobody reads that are put

00:06:03.240 together by mitch mcconnell and chuck schumer and hakeem jeffries and somehow the republicans and i say

00:06:10.460 republicans because mitch mcconnell's not a republican but somehow the republicans are never involved

00:06:15.040 in authoring these bills and um they're expected to vote on them without reading them like we're all 0.96

00:06:20.960 stupid but the tides are turning i believe the american people are are far more awake and i won't 0.98

00:06:27.220 say smarter because the american the average american person is smart but the the folks are waking up the 1.00

00:06:34.360 average american is waking up now uh to the deception of what's being done to us like i said earlier

00:06:40.840 mike johnson trying to pull an 11th hour move here just before they head off on christmas recess

00:06:46.760 i know it's it's the time of giving i know it's the year the time of the year where we're supposed

00:06:51.580 to be giving and we're just five days from christmas but mike johnson trying to stab president trump in the

00:06:57.600 back just five days before christmas just two weeks before uh his speaker election is is supposed to

00:07:04.900 take place on january 3rd i don't think it's puts mike johnson in a very good place right now

00:07:11.020 uh with president trump i don't think it puts mike johnson in a very good place right now

00:07:15.780 with the american people um it seems the conference is is highly split on who supports johnson and who

00:07:22.480 doesn't i think there's a big faction of the conference based on people i speak to in dc

00:07:26.760 who don't trust mike johnson and they shouldn't mike johnson has yet to tell us a truth what happened

00:07:33.960 to those january 6th tapes that mike johnson was giving us you know they were editing out the faces

00:07:39.400 of folks like it made a difference the fbi got and the doj got every person they wanted even the

00:07:45.680 people who did nothing wrong they got those folks too but mike johnson now a year later still editing

00:07:50.660 out the faces of those folks who are in those january 6th tapes those hundreds of january 6th political

00:07:55.840 prisoners who are hopefully uh done right by on january 20th and i believe president trump is a man of his

00:08:01.560 word i know president trump is a man of his word and i'm highly confident those folks are going to

00:08:06.120 get out but what about those folks who are wrongly accused who are overcharged on january 6th and mike

00:08:13.220 johnson still holding back those tapes so he can edit out some images and blur out some images

00:08:19.180 we're not buying it anymore mike johnson the american people the republicans are far too smart for your

00:08:25.240 nonsense and there's folks in the conference in the republican conference the andy biggs who's going to be

00:08:30.820 our guest here in just a few moments the andy biggs of the world the matt rosenthal's of the world

00:08:35.960 uh the eli cranes of the world the anna polino lunas of the world the mtgs you go down the list of

00:08:43.100 these folks who are calling out mike johnson and his rhino uh counterparts for trying to do things like

00:08:50.040 this in the 11th hour it's wrong it's wrong to do the american people it's wrong to do to the american

00:08:55.180 voter the the american people just gave the republicans a resounding victory on november 5th

00:09:02.080 an overwhelming majority giving them back the senate giving them a majority in the house giving

00:09:07.620 them the presidency uh maybe giving them another seat or two on the supreme court and this is how

00:09:13.400 you treat the american people mike johnson this is what you do to the american people who voted your party

00:09:19.060 back into power who gave you guys back the power of the purse who gave you guys back the power of the

00:09:25.660 subpoena this is how you treat the american people this is how you treat president trump a man who's

00:09:30.760 supposed to be your friend president trump who goes through so much on a daily basis having to deal with

00:09:37.000 mike johnson having to do mike johnson's job for him sending jd vance to go ahead and negotiate for him

00:09:42.620 we now know how good of a negotiator jd vance is able to go to dc and get these things straightened

00:09:47.900 out in just a day but the fact that we have to go to those distances the fact that mike johnson is just

00:09:53.940 i don't even know how to say it nicely i guess the nicest way to put it is incompetent

00:09:58.440 incompetent and able to do his job and incompetent in his duty as a republican leader i think uh as we

00:10:06.000 reflect over christmastime here and i hope and i know there's going to be some members who are going to

00:10:10.080 reflect on it as well uh i'm not entirely sure as a matter of fact i'm probably pretty certain that

00:10:16.560 mike johnson is not the man who needs to be running the republican party now i don't know who it is

00:10:22.040 i would love to see elon musk or vivekar amaswamy uh go ahead in there and and be speaker of the house

00:10:27.380 for six months get president agenda president trump's agenda jump-started and ready to roll and

00:10:32.520 rip roaring and then pass it on to someone who's competent in the house but mike johnson is is running

00:10:38.600 um like a madman right now doing whatever he wants unchecked uh and he's got to be stopped

00:10:44.760 immediately before he gets this party into trouble before he gets america into trouble the days of

00:10:49.720 blank checks are over the days of of writing checks for dei and woke ideologies and transgenderism and

00:10:56.900 uh vaccines mandatory vaccines in the military those days are over folks the totalitarian

00:11:04.060 communism marxist playbook it was voted out on november 5th those days are over so i don't know

00:11:09.920 if mike johnson got the memo but he better think long and hard while he's home for christmas break

00:11:15.000 with his family about what he wants for this country and what he wants for the republican party

00:11:19.640 because these days are numbered here we can't let him he needs to have a tight leash we cannot let this

00:11:25.420 man run free like paul ryan did and ruin the maga agenda president trump's record-breaking election

00:11:33.360 we can't let him ruin that we can't let the american people lose distrust

00:11:38.800 and lose trust in the republican party because of one man so i'm calling on all members of congress

00:11:45.720 republicans to hold this man's feet to the fire and when you're home for christmas break

00:11:50.840 do some reflecting over it and come to your senses as i have mike johnson is not the man to run the

00:11:57.880 party and get your act together before it's too late this is the trump party this is the maga party

00:12:04.460 don't take my word for it take the voters word for it because the only reason that we have a majority

00:12:09.900 in the senate now and we kept the majority in the house is because of donald j trump and everyone he

00:12:16.040 pulled along the finish line with him don't you ever forget that as a member of congress as a senator

00:12:21.800 donald trump brought you folks to the party now you dance it's simple as that americans voted for maga

00:12:28.900 and that's what they're going to get either get on board or get out of the way your elections are in two

00:12:34.720 years get on board or get out of the way turning to some other news truth justice in the american way

00:12:41.120 seems to be prevailing in this country as i say every day since november 5th the georgia court of

00:12:46.700 appeals has disqualified fanny willis from presiding over president trump's case uh in georgia the appeals

00:12:56.480 court writing quote after carefully considering the trial court's finding in its order we conclude that

00:13:01.600 it erred by failing to disqualify da willis and her office the remedy crafted by the trial court to

00:13:08.020 prevent an ongoing appearance of impropriety did nothing to address the appearance of impropriety

00:13:14.440 that existed at the time when da willis was exercising her broad pretrial discretion about 0.98

00:13:21.180 who to prosecute and what charges to bring while we recognize that it's an appearance of impropriety

00:13:26.600 generally it's not enough to support disqualification this is the rare case in which

00:13:30.940 stallification is mandatory and no other remedy will suffice to restore public's confidence

00:13:36.600 in the integrity of these proceedings now it's a move in the right direction to disqualify fanny 0.99

00:13:43.260 willis but the appeals court did fail to throw out that case altogether willis has been dealt

00:13:49.600 loss after loss losing the rapper case young thug case down there a man that they got on rico who

00:13:57.100 they were trying to put in jail for 100 years he's now taking a plea i think for like 10 or 20 years

00:14:02.500 on probation no jail time willis's office demanded that young thug the rapper admit to all the crimes

00:14:11.340 that she alleged he says no and they said well there's no deal on the table and the young thug's

00:14:18.740 lawyer said okay we'll leave it up to the judge and the judge sided with young thug and said you don't

00:14:23.040 have to admit to anything here's your probation time so fanny's been dealt blow after blow i think 1.00

00:14:29.320 it's only a matter of time now before that georgia case uh gets thrown out up in new york president

00:14:35.600 trump's still fighting to get that case thrown out uh governor kathy hochel as arrogant as can be 1.00

00:14:40.420 she better be careful because she's going to need president trump's help to clean up this mess of the 1.00

00:14:44.580 city uh telling folks this week that she'll only consider pardoning president trump if he shows some

00:14:50.980 sort of remorse kathy hochel you can go to hell remorse remorse for what the man was charged for

00:14:59.340 absolute nonsense a campaign violation that didn't exist you brought to witnesses from the white house

00:15:05.240 that the supreme court ruled you weren't allowed to bring in so there'll be no pardon needed in my

00:15:10.740 opinion it's going to come down to the appeals court which just like this one we saw in georgia

00:15:15.820 uh i believe is going to make the right decision and that case i think ultimately will be thrown out

00:15:21.600 and those folks in new york seriously need to be looked into so as i promised you our guest today

00:15:27.720 is congressman andy biggie sits on the house oversight and judiciary committees two powerful

00:15:32.680 committees in congress and it seems these days congressman biggs is not a fan of mike johnson

00:15:39.460 and this nonsense of a show that he's been putting on because of your overwhelming support our 1488

00:16:35.120 going to extend my 60-day money-back guarantee until march 1st 2025 plus orders over 75 dollars ship

00:16:42.600 absolutely free congressman andy biggs i couldn't think of a better person to talk to about this

00:16:50.540 because i know you would have been the first person lou would have called uh if lou were here doing the

00:16:54.820 show today so i had no choice but to call congressman andy biggs congressman two days ago we saw

00:17:00.580 mike johnson try to jam through uh we'll call it 1500 pages a little bit more than 1500 pages

00:17:05.360 we'll call 1500 pages to give him the benefit of the doubt with the glossary and all that good stuff

00:17:09.960 for the average person congressman it takes about 40 hours to read the 1500 pages if you're getting 16

00:17:16.000 hours of sleep a night it'll take you about two and a half days if you're on the slower side of

00:17:19.680 reading it's probably going to take you about four to six days yet johnson wanted to push this thing

00:17:23.600 down everyone's throats get it done get it done fast not let anybody realize what's going on

00:17:28.700 but as you and i were talking before i think the new guard uh picked up on it very quickly for some

00:17:35.260 of those new members you got including yourself there's not a new member but have just been tired

00:17:39.160 of it your thoughts on mike johnson i mean not starting out too well yeah this is this is a problem

00:17:47.000 look if it wasn't for the freedom caucus you wouldn't have the 72 hour uh uh time to read this

00:17:53.980 and quite frankly the 72 hour rule that that's that's official it's an official rule he's supposed

00:18:00.420 to follow it because we followed it this time because the freedom caucus was pushing on it

00:18:07.080 that's why that bill fell apart right because the the more people looked at it the more they're like

00:18:12.640 man this stinks this is bad uh you know uh you got e15 uh in your gas car you got you got rfk stadium

00:18:22.060 issues you got uh congress getting uh special bennies you know i mean all of these things uh needed time

00:18:31.140 to be come to the surface and and and speaker johnson was not going to do that and i get it because

00:18:39.500 you know you didn't want the the the uh daylight on it right i mean so that's that's the issue so

00:18:46.420 i i was um not pleased with the process but you know the process didn't start there let's just let's

00:18:54.480 be frank right we've known and speaking speaker johnson has known for a year this day would be

00:19:00.520 coming and he said we would never do a december omni again um and we would just do the 12 bills well

00:19:07.720 guess what you could have done uh after you did the september 30th cr why didn't you just redo the

00:19:15.640 sin resend the senate the appropriations bills why didn't you do right so this is a failure on the

00:19:21.760 part of the speaker you know it's you'd mentioned some aspects about what he wouldn't do he also told

00:19:27.440 us some time actually many times he told us he wouldn't do any sort of cr budget if it didn't

00:19:32.480 include anything border as you pointed out the provisions in this 1500 plus pages were things that

00:19:38.580 would have stopped rfk jr when he becomes uh secretary of hhs from doing his job investigating

00:19:44.940 vaccines the other provision that was very interesting uh was they let congress blocks

00:19:50.220 subpoenas for house data including emails potentially preventing any investigation into the

00:19:54.500 january 6 committee now we spoke about this when kevin mccarthy you spoke about it with lou uh when

00:20:01.560 kevin mccarthy was getting ousted about just not being transparent and lying to the people this seems

00:20:06.460 far worse than what kevin mccarthy did and kevin mccarthy got kicked out of there like a dog yeah look

00:20:12.960 look um when you want to protect the j6 committee there's a huge problem um look the investigations of

00:20:22.820 regular committees in congress have actually now referred her to the incoming ag for potential

00:20:31.160 investigation right i mean this is this is serious so it is bad stuff that's in this bill

00:20:37.320 and to dance around it the way the speaker has done it's just it's intolerable right it's just absolutely

00:20:46.060 intolerable do you have confidence does your your leadership in the house freedom caucus have

00:20:51.600 confidence in mike johnson uh to continue to lead this conference because it seems like president

00:20:56.160 trump went right over mike johnson sent jd vanson and said get the job done lo and behold chief

00:21:03.160 negotiator president trump got the thing done well yeah i'm not sure that i can speak for the leadership

00:21:11.540 but i'm not sure that i have a much confidence left but i will just tell you let me let me tell you

00:21:17.980 what's what's what's what's happened here is this bill is the successor bill after much talk it

00:21:25.180 basically is just a a slightly smaller version of the omni that was such a stinker you still have

00:21:32.620 110 billion dollars of the uh disaster relief with no with no um pay for at all right you still have

00:21:42.540 um uh i mean that by the way that's a that's a democrat deal and then the second thing is you

00:21:49.760 you've got this this debt relief package that where you where you lift the cap for another two years

00:21:56.540 um which will add probably anywhere let's just be generous and say four to five and a half trillion

00:22:03.020 dollars to the goodness the national debt i i how do that why are the republicans congressman and you're

00:22:08.640 obviously not one of them but why are they so terrified to shut down the government president

00:22:13.820 trump just won an election house members you guys aren't up for re-election another two years

00:22:17.920 by the time it came time to vote and i'm not saying the voters would remember or not remember and i'm not

00:22:22.660 trying to be deceptive in any way but so much time is going to pass between now and the next election

00:22:27.820 when you guys will be able to get so presumably hopefully so much good stuff done that it's not going

00:22:33.240 to matter the voters aren't going to care that you guys shut down the government for a little bit

00:22:36.860 now is the right time president trump comes into office one month to the day congressman

00:22:41.920 why are they so terrified to just win this fight once and for all because they've never won it

00:22:48.040 look your your point is exactly right um my position was if you're not going to give us the

00:22:54.160 approves bills then let's shut it down until we get a new congress on january 3rd why not i mean that's

00:23:00.000 what's that two days away roughly right and and and everybody's going to be paid on the first or second

00:23:06.040 so we come back in the third let's go let's go let's let's make sure everything gets done

00:23:10.000 why not and and the i don't know why they're so afraid um because the bottom line is

00:23:18.720 uh most americans don't vote you in or out of office on whether you had a lapse in spending because

00:23:26.440 as you know a lapse in spending doesn't mean it's a government shutdown i mean people call it a

00:23:31.640 government shutdown there's a lapse in spending all most of these agencies have loads of money

00:23:36.960 still in their bank account you're just telling them that you can't spend it until we get back

00:23:41.380 in business and give you the authorization and and 90 percent of the government stays open and

00:23:47.640 functioning and that's that's really how it works i don't know why everybody's so afraid

00:23:52.080 it literally makes no sense to me it seems like now congressman if there's a perfect time

00:23:58.320 if all the stars are aligned it's right now you just want a massive landslide election president

00:24:03.820 trump's approval numbers are the highest they've ever been going into office among the highest of

00:24:07.980 any republican going to take office again um you look at everything down the board about americans

00:24:12.880 agreeing with his agenda now it seemed to me like the best time to possibly do it and teach these

00:24:19.320 democrats a lesson and you've got chuck schumer did an interview a year and a half ago with nancy

00:24:23.840 pelosi making fun of him oh we went into the white house and we got trump to admit that he'll own it

00:24:28.220 you didn't get trump to admit anything you got trump to admit that he's the only man with a

00:24:31.960 backbone in washington dc and you guys went in there with some little cute plan like you were

00:24:37.000 going to get him to slip up you didn't get anyone to slip up why can't these people if they're not

00:24:41.220 going to shut it down congress and why can't they get a single page bill one piece of paper this is

00:24:46.220 what we're funding this is what we're funding this is what we're funding why does it have to be

00:24:49.900 1500 pages of as lou would call it hogwash it has to be 1500 pages because then you can hide a lot

00:24:58.120 of stuff and when you're putting a lot of christmas tree ornaments on a christmas tree

00:25:01.740 it apparently takes a lot of paper to get there the bottom line is if you don't i mean every

00:25:10.820 negotiator knows this if you aren't willing to walk away from a bad deal you're going to be owned every

00:25:17.240 time right and this is a bad deal it was a bad deal earlier this week and my colleagues aren't aren't

00:25:26.140 willing to walk away from it i mean uh some of them are but i i think the vast majority don't want to

00:25:33.940 congressman i want to take a quick break here we're going to come right back with you and i just want

00:25:37.780 to go a little bit deeper into on the other side uh this debt ceiling and what it means for lifting

00:25:42.100 the debt ceiling president trump this week calling to lift the debt ceiling um i also want to go into

00:25:46.180 all the great work that you've already started doing uh on the border and and what it's going to

00:25:50.760 look like in the new year we're coming right back with congressman andy biggs he's one of the good

00:26:48.180 not all i'm extending our 60-day money back guarantee until march 1st of 2025 plus all orders

00:26:55.160 over 75 or more ship absolutely free folks we're back we're talking with congressman andy biggs as i

00:27:04.200 mentioned before we went to break he's one of the few good guys over there's about 10 or 12 of them

00:27:08.040 uh slowly dwindling down um congressman i want to get to the debt ceiling president trump called for

00:27:14.300 raising the debt ceiling my opinion i'm not entirely sure why we do that just keep spending but i want

00:27:21.240 to get your take on it uh to give to the audience on what it means to raise the debt ceiling and what

00:27:26.640 it will mean for us going forward yeah so when you raise the debt ceiling um well the purpose of the

00:27:32.820 debt ceiling is tried is to try to keep you from increasing your structural deficits so you have to

00:27:38.520 keep borrowing more money right so you don't want to keep spending more than you bring in but when you

00:27:42.680 lift the debt ceiling that gives you a new limit on your credit card basically so now you you've got

00:27:50.740 even more money you can spend um the idea was that you you would increase your revenue but that doesn't

00:27:57.340 happen right so now you have a bigger gap and we have had for the last two years because speaker

00:28:03.680 mccarthy negotiated this with president biden that there would be no cap at all oh my god and and then

00:28:11.340 another stinker part of that for president trump was that um mccarthy put that in the first week of 0.77

00:28:18.120 the whoever the new president would be and we just we hoped and anticipated to be donald trump

00:28:23.020 they would have to deal with that debt ceiling i know president trump doesn't want to deal with

00:28:27.720 that debt ceiling because he's trying to get focused on on his agenda but the problem is when you

00:28:33.100 don't cut spending at the same time that you're increasing the debt ceiling and in this case

00:28:39.340 they're going to do a cr that actually increases spending by 110 billion dollars without paying

00:28:44.020 for it you accelerate the the national debt and that's inflationary that is the cause helps cause

00:28:53.000 inflation so um i don't really i don't really like it i don't know what it is i other than i know

00:29:01.400 that president trump uh felt like he was kind of handicapped because he's focused on all this other

00:29:06.340 stuff and he has to go we didn't want to spend capital going in and trying to fight on the end

00:29:10.460 debt ceiling imagine that he did the things that they do to this man like he doesn't have enough

00:29:17.060 on his plate congressman we all know what president trump goes through on a daily basis whether it be

00:29:21.780 having to fend off attacks from the media whether it has to be dodging literal bullets to his head

00:29:26.600 now he's got to go into washington dc and do mike johnson's job i i texted a friend today it was a

00:29:32.000 high up in dc and i said who does mike johnson answer to and he says we don't really know uh it

00:29:37.740 seems like the man and i'm not even being mean but it seems like the man is just not smart he keeps

00:29:42.980 getting steamrolled he keeps getting steamrolled he seems like a very nice guy i think you would

00:29:47.020 describe him as a as a golden retriever a nice guy who's just gonna roll over it's true but we don't

00:29:53.960 need nice guys there congressman i i mean how many times are we gonna just sit back i had said this

00:30:00.300 when i had taken over the show when after lou passed away in august we need to have mike johnson

00:30:05.220 no pun intended on a tight leash i mean what paul ryan you probably remember what paul ryan did with

00:30:11.380 setting the agenda of president trump i think he started with obamacare it was something that ate

00:30:15.420 up the first two years of congress it wasted two years president trump was not able to get anything

00:30:19.880 through now he goes his next two years with a democratic house and he's he's absolutely not able to do

00:30:25.400 much um how much leash are we supposed to give mike johnson i was joking with someone today i wish

00:30:32.280 lou was here because i don't think mike johnson would have a job right now there's very few people

00:30:35.940 in this media who are willing to call it out everyone wants to be friends with everybody and

00:30:40.080 nobody wants to call it out how much leash are we supposed to give mike johnson before he either

00:30:44.420 hangs himself or he gets us into trouble well i think i think he's kind of already continued in the

00:30:51.640 the the pattern of the swamp right i mean the pattern of the unit party i mean i think he's done

00:30:56.780 that and i think i think there's a lot of people who are really discontented over the last few days

00:31:03.320 with this approach i mean this should have been done months ago he said we were going to do the 12 bills

00:31:09.860 right it became hard so he kind of quit halfway through but you know a real leader says it's hard

00:31:16.840 but we're going to continue on because it is the thing that we need to do right right and it's our

00:31:22.780 most important deal um so i'm not sure that i'm not sure that how this is going to play out in january

00:31:30.580 3rd to be honest with you i'm i i know that there's a couple people who've publicly said they're not going

00:31:36.140 to be with them others have publicly said they're not committed others have privately indicated to me

00:31:41.320 they they can't imagine voting for him i think he's in some some bit of um uh trouble to be honest

00:31:49.480 with you so that's january 3rd let's hypothetically say probably uh i would put it on the 90 percentile

00:31:56.100 he does get reelected because you know how washington works yes someone makes a phone call and i i forgot

00:32:02.640 how tim burchett said he said someone comes back to you in the back of the cloakroom and they whisper in

00:32:07.060 your ear and all of a sudden you were one way and now you're the other let's hypothetically say mike

00:32:11.920 johnson does get in we now know and i should know this all too well because uh lou was a big part from

00:32:18.160 what we were told in helping get kevin mccarthy out of there but the rules have now since changed

00:32:23.500 mike johnson of course trying to protect himself knowing he was going to snake us all what are the

00:32:28.860 rules now if we do want to get mike johnson out of there well they they changed the the motion to

00:32:35.140 vacate rules that you have to have nine and um which is kind of not number in and of itself i mean

00:32:41.400 how do you pick nine um i was against that change uh if you really want to have top down right if you

00:32:49.120 want to have top down um leadership then you then you want to keep as the highest number possible so

00:32:56.280 the leaders are always going to be protected but if you want bottom-up or grassroots-based

00:33:00.840 uh participation in in your legislative body you would say well we're going to facilitate

00:33:06.080 um from time to time removal of that of the speaker and that's you know when we did it with

00:33:13.940 kevin mccarthy myself and gates and and and the eight of us that did that i'm just telling you that

00:33:20.420 the pressure was pretty pretty hefty yeah um but i think the reason they chose nine is because there

00:33:27.520 have been eight of us that took out mccarthy and um so that means the question is would you ever be

00:33:34.400 able to vacate um mike johnson going to be very difficult whoever the speaker is now it will be

00:33:41.340 very difficult to vacate i'll never forget when you guys were going through that and you guys are

00:33:45.720 going to the votes and slowly starting to dwindle off the names and i'll never forget luke called me he

00:33:51.460 goes you got to look at bigs man i feel so bad for him because you were walking around the back of

00:33:55.720 there you looked 10 years older than you are stressed out because of probably what they were

00:34:00.240 putting you through in the threats you know the funny thing was congressman is they told us when

00:34:05.560 mccarthy was removed it was going to hurt the republicans beyond repair everyone was going to laugh

00:34:11.040 at them they would never win well what do you call that just happened on november 5th

00:34:15.920 yeah i call that i call that probably uh you you won't see another landslide like that ever simply

00:34:24.500 because of the way the country is is realigning right now right is and very difficult to see with

00:34:31.260 the media and the social media in 24 hours it's very going to be very difficult to have the type of

00:34:37.240 victory that donald trump had donald trump is a once perhaps in the multiple generations maybe once

00:34:42.820 even in a hundred year type of leader um he's charismatic he's visionary he's tough he's brutal

00:34:50.820 um but people relate he's relatable uh you know all the things that a true leader has um and you had

00:35:00.520 this incredible demarcation what can let's just face it you don't typically have an apples to apples run

00:35:08.500 because here we had trump you had four years under trump you had four years under harris you could

00:35:13.940 actually compare and and there was an overwhelming rejection of the hard left socialist mantra in

00:35:22.700 america and that left us with uh donald trump and and he's a populist perhaps a conservative perhaps but

00:35:32.160 the bottom line is he stated a very clear agenda and that agenda really in my opinion is is the right

00:35:42.140 agenda and it can be enacted but you got to have the right legislative uh makeup and we're we're going

00:35:49.560 to be skinny i'm just telling you two two vote margin you get three people or four people and uh any

00:35:56.080 bills dead right so you have to be a leader and well don't know if we got one speaking speaking of

00:36:04.640 leaders i you just brought forward some uh important legislation in my opinion um called the midnight

00:36:11.460 rules relief act can you tell the audience what you're able to achieve now in putting a check on 0.92

00:36:17.560 these uh career corrupt bureaucrats who run this damn swamp well so if this this bill i hope will 0.83

00:36:25.500 become law and if it becomes a lot here's the way to think of it every year the bureaucratic state 0.98

00:36:32.580 it acts hundreds of thousands of regulations that that we treat as law right and congress is supposed

00:36:40.360 to review those and doesn't review very many at all in fact the most we've ever reviewed through the

00:36:45.340 congressional review act in any one year is 17 17 and um so what my bill does is it changes the look

00:36:54.080 back period and says we're going to look back longer and also it changes the process because

00:37:01.320 right now if you if you have one rule in epa let's say you have there's 20 rules that epa has done that

00:37:07.200 need to be reviewed and tossed out if possible you can only do one at a time it sounds like government

00:37:14.860 hard at work yeah so right so so it's designed to keep congress from doing its job so i'm trying to get

00:37:21.460 congress back involved so now you can you can say we're gonna we're gonna read you could review

00:37:26.740 20 30 40 in the same bill so you'd have a hearing on it get them debated decide which ones really have

00:37:34.240 to go and by the way if you in the look back period in my bill which is consistent with the current law

00:37:42.140 if you were to eliminate all the the biden bills i assume biden regulations that have come in

00:37:48.240 savings of 1.4 trillion dollars would you look at that see you're a man who deserves that 34 000

00:37:55.800 raise that they were uh offering for anyone who's been on twitter lately i recommend you go look at

00:38:02.580 dan crenshaw's twitter feed the man has been having an absolute meltdown now he's not one of these good

00:38:07.480 guys he plays it off like he's a good guy but he's not i won't ask for congress and big's opinion on him

00:38:12.400 but i just recommend everyone go look at uh dan crenshaw's twitter about getting that pay raise and

00:38:18.260 the meltdown he's been having uh with regard to it congressman before we wrap up here um i want to

00:38:24.660 talk about uh two two or three more things the j6 committee and liz cheney i watch cnn all day long because

00:38:31.320 i like to figure out what these sick people are thinking about i'll turn on msnbc i can't watch fox

00:38:37.200 news anymore too much for me so i'll watch cnn and these folks i mean jim acosta today almost melted

00:38:43.020 down when he found out that big fanny was thrown off the case in georgia which should have never been

00:38:47.200 on in the first place but uh the january 6th committee donald trump's unhinged he's tweeting

00:38:52.480 out at three o'clock in the morning that liz cheney's gotten herself into trouble now this isn't 0.98

00:38:57.160 donald trump's words this is congressman barry loudermilk the man who put out the report on it

00:39:01.340 they're saying president trump is out for retribution but it was liz cheney who spoke

00:39:07.240 with a witness without her lawyer it was liz cheney who went behind every single person's 0.96

00:39:11.960 back to go ahead and do that it was liz cheney who tweeted out last week that if any lawyers want 0.97

00:39:16.740 to look into her that they should be careful because there's a political there's retribution 0.86

00:39:21.160 as it pertains to the bar laws this is a thug this woman is a thug but yet it's president trump 1.00

00:39:27.960 who's going for retribution on this lady who tried to ruin his life and maybe is the reason he got 0.64

00:39:33.600 shot at yeah she look liz cheney it wasn't just president trump she was going after she was going

00:39:41.000 after some of his most ardent supporters and and so the allegations that have come forward from barry

00:39:48.700 loudermilk's committee by the way barry it's been kind of a task force type of thing they really need

00:39:54.680 to expand and make it a real committee give it a little bit more resources etc but what what you

00:40:00.240 find is or what they found or what they're alleging is that she not only did she suppress exculpatory 0.77

00:40:06.480 evidence that she tampered with witnesses but she also potentially suborned perjury she she was going

00:40:15.500 behind and actually helping a witness get a different lawyer one that would be more conducive

00:40:22.520 uh she encouraged and helped uh a witness make a complete substantive rewrite of her previous under oath

00:40:32.300 testimony and then all of that and then she suppressed all of the the evidence that would have come

00:40:39.460 forward to contradict and impeach that witness so those are the types of allegations that are incredibly

00:40:47.140 serious um and barry loudermilk is his congressman from georgia has done a great job investigating that

00:40:55.440 and i'm i'm i'm happy uh that he's done so um but she's now saying look if anybody's going to come

00:41:03.020 after me or check on me uh you know i'm going to double down on you i'm going after you that's it's

00:41:09.140 insane so i don't consider that retribution i mean i say this all the time on this show don't i don't want

00:41:14.820 the republicans to break the law i don't want the republicans to recreate the law i just want them

00:41:18.280 to follow the law and if you follow the law congressman the law leads you to that this woman

00:41:22.420 needs to be investigated you sit on two of the most powerful not two of the most powerful i think two of

00:41:27.660 the power two of the powerful committees there uh oversight and judiciary uh do you think you guys

00:41:34.300 under comer or jordan are going to take a look at this and look at some of these people whose lives

00:41:39.880 have been ruined i mean the thousands and hundreds of thousands of dollars spent on lawyers for

00:41:43.920 bannon and navarro and dan scavino just all unnecessary nonsense i mean the buck should

00:41:50.900 have stopped with congressman when cassie hutchinson came in and said trump tried to take over the beast

00:41:55.700 and drive the thing to the capitol yeah believe it or not there was mainstream media outlets who

00:42:00.380 were covering that as truth i mean what is the world come to yeah i mean i hope our committees keep

00:42:07.280 working on it i know barry's committee is going to keep working on it but i hope there's a

00:42:11.060 collaboration there and and i hope there's a referral to the uh attorney general pam bondy who

00:42:18.800 can come in and you search the peanut power as well and and and you get some due process and get some

00:42:24.440 warrants to to to get records um look we think that benny thompson was involved we think benny thompson

00:42:32.240 um we we don't know where all of the documents are that barry laudermilk was been trying to get but

00:42:38.600 i'm i'm just going to tell you um we want we want there to be due process and justice that's that's

00:42:46.520 what that's the american way and if there's been an actual crime committed then there needs to be um

00:42:52.560 rec uh recompense there but here's here's the other aspect of it because you brought this up

00:42:57.160 there are a lot of other individuals whose lives were attacked um because of this my life was

00:43:05.180 attacked um they came after me and have continued to tell lies about me um literally for five years

00:43:13.920 and uh the left for the left they told the lies so often that they simply believe them now

00:43:21.700 yeah and and and that that's the type of thing that that calls and screams for justice and that's

00:43:32.200 what we want that's what i think we want we don't we're not looking for retribution we're looking for

00:43:36.700 justice because if you're going to have a freedom in a society there has to be a rule of law that way

00:43:41.980 you can protect all people from the bullies and those who would abuse the system and then you can

00:43:48.360 have freedom but if you don't have rule of law you will never have freedom you mentioned truth

00:43:54.400 justice in the american way that was the mantra that is of this show uh that's the mantra that

00:43:59.540 lou came up with on the show you brought up a good point and it was the lies that they spewed about you

00:44:03.560 and everybody else you guys have something in congress called congressional immunity it was what

00:44:08.520 allowed pencil neck adam schiff to go out and run rampant and do whatever the hell he wanted 0.86

00:44:12.640 how do we get rid of that so that there is some sort of uh accountability we see abc just paying

00:44:19.740 out 15 million dollars to donald trump for lying it should be like that if you lie and you knowingly

00:44:24.740 lied uh not made a mistake but you knowingly lied you need to pay the price for it so how do we get

00:44:30.840 rid of this congressional immunity that protects far too many people congressman well congressional

00:44:35.200 immunity is related to the speech and debate clause which is in the u.s constitution

00:44:40.140 constitution and believe me i i know it's bad now but believe me if you go back through history

00:44:46.040 you're gonna sometimes i would think we're pikers if you go back to uh uh the the pre-civil war era

00:44:55.300 and you look at poor abe lincoln and and the attacks on abe lincoln when he was a member of congress and

00:45:01.260 then as he's running for president those were outrageous i mean ours are outrageous and and and

00:45:07.680 libelous and slanderous um and quite frankly i don't care if adam schiff lies about me but if he 0.68

00:45:15.300 goes out and leaks material right that came from the intelligence committee that should be a prosecution

00:45:21.240 i don't care if if uh you know joe the you joe the rag man is sitting at home in his underwear and 0.83

00:45:27.800 he's saying hateful things about me you know that's his business he can say that i mean thomas

00:45:32.140 jefferson said yeah we'll let him do that we're not going to do that right but in when and i don't

00:45:36.960 even care if look we get called racist and everything else that's where this body has to 0.93

00:45:42.260 internally right monitor itself and right the ship and say look you know what that's that's too much

00:45:49.580 you've crossed the line the because routinely you'll go to the floor and they'll say these guys 0.55

00:45:55.200 are liars they're racist they're nazis and all that that's when we have to say no you can't say 0.52

00:46:01.120 that i and so uh the judiciary committee we get that a lot and so we've learned that the rule is 0.98

00:46:06.700 i want the rules i want the words taken down because if we take your words down that means

00:46:11.300 you're done for the day it means you can't even speak anymore no matter what and that's that's the

00:46:17.340 internal monitoring that must go on if we're going to restore some sense of civility in in uh congress

00:46:25.660 yeah you're absolutely right and nobody cares uh and elon musk put it so perfectly the first amendment

00:46:31.280 is for speech that's not so popular nobody cares if someone's out there calling you ugly or lazy or

00:46:35.760 whatever but when you start doing things calling somebody a nazi is not something taken lightly and

00:46:39.920 i'm not a snowflake and i'm not somebody who gets offended over everything but that's something

00:46:43.240 that ruins someone's life calling somebody a rapist congressman ruins somebody's life look

00:46:48.060 at those duke lacrosse players and what they went through their lives were never the same after they

00:46:51.680 were accused of raping it turns out it never happened but all you had to do was say the word

00:46:56.020 and you look what happened um i want to conclude with uh something that's uh near and dear i think

00:47:01.700 to everybody was near and dear to lou i know it's near and dear to you and i think it's probably

00:47:04.880 if not the sole reason one of the top three reasons president trump won on november 5th and that's the

00:47:10.440 border do you think we can get this thing secured i i saw something the other day um if we can in my

00:47:17.600 opinion if we can start uh penalizing some of these folks who hire these illegals senator mike lee has put

00:47:25.460 forward a bill to get all these illegals off of uh our health care system and off of our schooling 1.00

00:47:29.700 system if you do those two things in my opinion you probably get this thing turned around in less than

00:47:35.640 two years because if they're not making any money they're not going to want to come there's no

00:47:38.980 government subsidies for them they can't afford to be here you couple that with a wall and i think

00:47:43.520 you've got a secure country what's your thoughts as uh as it pertains to closing this border and

00:47:48.820 securing the country well yeah i mean if they can't get a job they're not coming right that's that's the

00:47:54.380 first thing and and and then if they get here and they find they can't get a job and you don't give

00:47:59.060 them benefits they're going to self-repatriate and uh i i think those two things are critical

00:48:05.620 building the wall is critical but i also believe this you have to start removing people yeah um

00:48:12.340 and because when you once you start removing people i guarantee you you're going to see

00:48:16.700 self-repatriation they're going to say oh my gosh it's going to be just as effective as the remain in

00:48:24.460 mexico policy because the people were like well i'm not going to sell everything i own and go on give

00:48:29.920 it to a coyote and go on up if as soon as i get up there they're going to tell me i got to wait in

00:48:34.320 mexico they're not going to do that so the same and the same thing goes when you're removing people

00:48:39.920 they're saying like i'm not going to spend everything i have to get up there and that will

00:48:44.780 immediately turn off the spigot the the other thing is everybody's on the table um if you're in a

00:48:51.420 sanctuary city and um and and they're they're turning you loose like san diego county wants to turn

00:48:58.980 loose rapist right for instance back in the community and ice here's about it and they're

00:49:04.560 tracking down somebody that they have a hold on and they go to that house and the guy's living there

00:49:09.540 with six other people right and they're going to run those six people and those and the five of them

00:49:15.260 are illegally in the country all six of them are going to go they're not going to be like the 1.00

00:49:20.200 administration and guess what that does that sends them home and you know how i know it's going to

00:49:24.660 work because the ambassador of the philippines uh the filipino ambassador to the u.s said look if

00:49:30.700 you're illegally in the country and you're from the philippines you should you should seriously think 1.00

00:49:35.280 about returning to to the philippines and i agree with that and and we're seeing that already you

00:49:41.060 know the going rate for crossing the borders double from 5 000 ahead to 10 000 ahead that's because

00:49:47.180 people anticipate enforcement of the law the day president trump comes into office and that's what

00:49:53.640 congress should be working on you know the marxist democrats uh in in cities like new york if you

00:49:59.500 have an illegal gun they let you go ahead and surrender your gun without any sort of repercussions

00:50:02.920 i think president a good idea for president trump is let these people self-deport and see if we can

00:50:08.240 get a head start on this thing but if anyone who watches tom holman that means that man means

00:50:13.300 business there's there's no if ends or buts about if he means what he says and he says what he means

00:50:18.220 because tom holman i know him personally means business and he's going to get everybody out of here

00:50:22.620 he told caitlin collins when she said put a number on and he goes everybody and it's true you break the

00:50:27.800 law the thing that drives me nuts is the health care it's not a civil liberty for us americans

00:50:32.380 you remember obamacare that made it made it a fine if we didn't go out there and pay for health care

00:50:37.160 yet these illegals come to this country wide open come on come to our schools you don't speak english 1.00

00:50:41.520 you can sit in a classroom with these uh these american kids who speak english and do whatever you want

00:50:46.760 go to the hospital use the hospital systems we're going to learn what it's like uh to live in a third

00:50:51.760 world country if we don't get this under control in my opinion i want to wrap up with the drug cartels

00:50:56.660 how do we proceed with them um we want to go fight wars overseas i spoke to colonel doug mcgregor the

00:51:02.280 other day we want to go fight wars overseas and send our military over there the democrats tell us

00:51:06.140 don't use the military here at home it's bad optics we have a war at our southern border a war that

00:51:12.140 we can actually win for the first time when a war and i don't know you put a timeline on the last

00:51:16.860 time we want a war uh that we can actually win and they don't want to fight it because it's bad

00:51:22.320 optics how do we get rid of these drug uh dens that are killing hundreds of hundreds of thousands

00:51:27.060 of americans a year congressman well so i've spent the last year on the drug cartel um our border

00:51:33.800 cartel task force the chairman is dan crinshaw i know you don't like dan oh but dan has actually

00:51:39.180 done a great job on that because he and i he and i had to have total agreement on this uh well maybe

00:51:43.820 not total but 98 agreement but we have worked hard on this and i will tell you this you we've got

00:51:50.600 ideas on how you use the military uh and talked to i talked to tom holman this morning he's got

00:51:56.140 ideas on how you use the military they're already trying to figure out how you use the military

00:51:59.360 you're not violating posse comitatus but you can use them to help transport yeah uh and and once

00:52:05.480 you start um going at their commodity and you start looking at their cash and their income

00:52:13.000 guess what they dry up a little bit and um it's it's i don't know that you ever get to

00:52:20.100 a hundred percent but i can tell you this you can get to soar you actually secure the border

00:52:24.580 and you can interdict and and bring people down and quite frankly we want we want to actually

00:52:32.020 have a relationship with mexico i mean mexico i love mexico used to go to mexico all the time

00:52:36.400 here's the deal uh president scheinbaum i think is going to work with president trump

00:52:42.080 but there's a lot of corruption down there and the cartels cartels control whole states down there

00:52:47.740 brother and and also on and i don't know if you saw this but just since president trump has come in

00:52:53.440 canada has committed about one one point one and a half trillion excuse me billion dollars to try to

00:52:59.800 secure their border that's what happens when you have a strong leader and it's going to impact

00:53:04.200 those cartels i got an idea if they don't want to play ball why don't we open our southern border

00:53:09.580 one way let's build a road from mexico up to canada we'll even put a train system because they'll save us

00:53:16.020 the money in the long run and we'll put it up there these drug cartels are terrorist organizations

00:53:20.460 we had no problem going to iraq and destabilizing the place we had no problem creating isis we had no

00:53:24.840 problem destabilizing afghanistan leaving everything behind it's a war that needs to be fought and i think

00:53:29.980 president trump and tom homan is going to do it with the help of congressmen like you congressman
