00:00:43.860 Inflation's still above 9%, and President Biden, he's bragging about a not-quite-10% decline in gas prices.

00:00:57.260 And, yes, Biden also sent a million barrels of U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve oil to none other than Communist China.

00:03:34.620 You must still be excited about your win and all that you've accomplished.
00:03:39.700 No, thank you. Thank you for having me, and this was a big win, not just for South Texas, but for our country.
00:03:48.140 I think that, and the location of your county, you're on the southernmost, westernmost part of the state of Texas.
00:03:57.560 You are right at ground zero for some of the, most of the issues that are confronting the country domestically,
00:04:06.820 including trafficking, illegal immigration, and, of course, the cartels themselves and their influence.
00:04:19.060 Give us a sense of what it's like right now to live in your district and in that particular part of Texas.
00:04:24.600 Well, we won by voicing the views and the values of my district, which is God, family, country, and hard work.
00:04:33.760 My district is filled with people with hardworking that love this community,
00:04:38.980 that have been ignored by the liberals in Washington for a long time.

00:04:47.320 They believe that if they give us tacos and play Latin music, that's all it's going to take to obtain our vote, but it's going to take a lot more.
00:04:55.020 They're going to have to get to work, and they were looking to, you know, raise fresh perspective, and I brought that perspective.
00:05:02.240 Not only does my story resonate with my district, most people in South Texas immigrated or their parents immigrated to this country,
00:05:13.020 and they resonate with me and with the values that I stand for, and I just want to bring better economic opportunities to South Texas.
00:05:22.780 So many of us in South Texas have left South Texas for better opportunities, and they want people to stay there.
00:05:29.220 They want people to prosper, and they just had enough.
00:05:32.460 And, of course, the Biden administration has done a horrible job.
00:05:37.680 They're hurting us tremendously, not only in South Texas, but throughout the country.

00:05:43.180 We have a border crisis, a real humanitarian crisis.
00:05:46.960 I came here illegally to the United States, and I want more little girls like Myra to be able to come here to the United States and not have to go through such a dangerous journey.

00:06:05.000 You know, this is the reality behind illegal immigration, and that is why I'm a big advocate for legal immigration.
00:06:11.980 But I do admit that we have a broken immigration system, and the legal process is outdated.
00:06:21.960 We need to improve the legal process so more good people that want to come here to work hard for the American dream are able to do so
00:06:30.000 and not go through such a dangerous journey because the Biden administration doesn't care about immigrants, doesn't care about the American people.
00:06:37.460 They don't care that they're encouraging them to come here illegally, knowing that they're going to have to pay criminal organizations.

00:06:50.360 That's such an important point, and a part of this tragedy are open borders across which the cartels are in control on both sides of the border.

00:07:13.640 And as a number of people say, every county and every state in this country is a border county or state
00:07:22.520 because the gangs and the distribution of fentanyl, opiates, marijuana, cocaine, methamphetamine,

00:07:33.920 And we have to be mature and responsible and talk about the honesty of it all.
00:07:40.600 We're losing over 100,000, well over that, Americans to death by fentanyl, by methamphetamines, by heroin.
00:07:52.820 And Biden administration, I get so angry about this, Congresswoman,
00:07:57.220 because the Biden administration doesn't even tip its hat to the pain and the devastation that's caused by these destructive border policies.
00:08:06.280 And we've got to understand them and change this tragic reality.

00:08:15.640 And, you know, the border law, you know, it helps our border patrol agents significantly,

00:10:20.060 And one of the reasons, I think, that the American people are looking at the prospect of a red wave, an American wave, if I may put it that way, this November,

00:10:36.580 I want to ask you about the issue of Hispanic votes because you've proved that, obviously, Hispanic votes can make a difference as well.
00:10:46.760 But 19% of Hispanics in most of the polling in the last six months, 19%, only 19% of Hispanics approve of the job of Joe Biden.
00:10:59.380 And we are seeing Hispanics just gravitating, and we are seeing Hispanics just gravitating to the Republican Party right now in droves.
00:11:07.600 How important is that movement in your judgment, and will it pay off in November?
00:11:14.780 Well, my district is 90% Hispanic.
00:11:17.880 So that just tells you that 19% only approve of the Biden administration.
