Ted Cruz joins Lou Dobbs on The Great America Show to talk about his new book, "Justice Corrupted: How the Left Has Weaponized Our Legal System" and why we need to impeach Merrick Garland, the new nominee for the Supreme Court.

00:04:13.100After that, I believe that we should impeach Alejandro Mayorkas, the secretary of Homeland Security, for absolute abdication of duty and refusal to secure the southern border.

00:04:25.800This attorney general has done more damage to the integrity of the Department of Justice than any attorney general in history.
00:04:32.520And I include in that John Mitchell, Nixon's attorney general, who resigned and disgraced and was prosecuted and went to jail.
00:04:40.260Merrick Garland sent in the FBI to raid Donald Trump's home, the first time a former president's home has been raided in the history of our country.
00:04:48.000He's sending FBI agents to raid the homes of pro-life activists with machine guns drawn at dawn, arresting them in front of their crying children.
00:04:56.480And has directed the FBI to target parents, moms and dads who exercise their First Amendment rights at school boards to speak up against horrific policies.

00:05:12.160I walk you through exactly what's going on, take you behind the scenes and explain how Obama and now Biden have twisted what is supposed to be an apolitical law enforcement apparatus into their own personal stormtroopers for the White House and the DNC.

00:05:49.640I just, as I look at Congress right now and I look at the Senate and you talk about oversight, I think why in the world has a judiciary committee in the Senate and the House, even under Republican rule, it has, neither committee has ever exercised at least since 2016 true oversight and those were Republican bodies.
00:06:58.800A bunch of them are running now for re-election, and they claim to want to secure the border.
00:07:03.560But 100 percent of the time, when it comes time to a vote, they vote with Joe Biden in favor of open borders.
00:07:09.940And it's one of the big reasons why this election is going to be such a tidal wave, because between inflation, crime, and the chaos at our southern border, people are fed up and want to change the path we're on.
00:07:21.620And, of course, certainly everyone is concerned about electoral integrity, that you talk about the red tsunami, which I surely hope that you're correct in your prognostication.
00:07:34.640But I'm also very concerned about the left.
00:08:02.340Election integrity is incredibly important.
00:08:04.700I have spent decades fighting to secure our elections and protect election integrity.
00:08:11.020In fact, when I was the Solicitor General of Texas, I led a coalition of states in front of the U.S. Supreme Court defending photo ID requirements for voting.
00:08:19.900We won 6-3, a landmark decision where the court said protecting the integrity of people's votes is how you protect against votes being stolen.
00:08:31.040I've led the fight in the Senate against S-1, the Democrats' attempt to federalize elections and strike down every reasonable protection against voter fraud because today's Democratic Party tragically embraces voter fraud.
00:08:45.440The book, Justice Corrupted, walks through in detail the history of voter fraud in this country.
00:08:52.320It walks through how the Democrats have shifted from there was a time where, for example, Jimmy Carter chaired the Carter-Baker Commission that concluded voter fraud was real, that recommended photo IDs, that recommended banning ballot harvesting, that recommended limiting mail-in ballots.

00:11:24.740The Supreme Court just blocked the transfer of President Trump's tax records to the January 6th committee.
00:11:36.040That thrilled me, perhaps because so little has been done by this court in regard to protecting both the executive and executive privilege.
00:12:24.160You have people from both sides, and so when a witness testifies, you have cross-examination.
00:12:29.360You have the opposing party questioning them.
00:12:31.820In this instance, Nancy Pelosi said, sorry, Republicans, you can't pick the Republicans you want.
00:12:37.440You can't actually put real Republicans who support President Trump on the committee.
00:12:41.560We want to do a campaign commercial for the DNC, and so she put together only Democrats and then two essentially Democrats today, Kinzinger and Liz Cheney, who have decided they hate Trump so much that they will be the useful idiots supporting Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats.
00:13:01.520And so every hearing, you've had no cross-examination, no actual real balance.
00:13:07.380You've just had a political commercial running.
00:13:11.440That's what they want to do with Trump's tax returns is engage in a political fishing expedition.
00:13:16.600So I hope the court does not allow them to play games.
00:13:19.640And I'm just encouraged that the chief justice took the action, at least preliminarily and temporarily, in the stay that he handed down here.
00:13:31.300I want to turn quickly, too, to McConnell.
00:13:34.420Well, he's withdrawn money for the first time that I'm aware of.
00:13:39.760A majority leader, a minority leader in this case, has pulled money.
00:13:43.920His PAC has pulled money from three Republican candidates, which is the same thing as putting that money, millions in the pockets of the Democratic opposition.

00:13:54.840Well, listen, I think it is unfortunate that in some of the races we've seen there has not been resources devoted where they need to be.
