00:00:00.000 Hello, everybody, and welcome to the Great America Show.
00:00:05.160 It's great to have you with us.
00:00:06.260 Thanks so much for joining us today.
00:00:08.220 Folks, it's a day we've all been waiting for for a very, very long time.
00:00:11.840 Forty-five becomes forty-seven.
00:00:14.140 My opinion, he's forty-five, forty-six, and forty-seven.
00:00:17.540 If you want to look back at that 2020 election, that was allegedly won by Joe Biden.
00:00:23.760 There's so much on the agenda for President Trump today.
00:00:25.940 There's so much on the agenda for him for the next four years.
00:00:28.640 President Trump set to kick off his day after being inaugurated.
00:00:34.100 Executive order time, a hundred executive orders on the docket.
00:00:38.620 Some are even saying two hundred.
00:00:40.780 President Trump not going to bed until he signs those is what we're hearing.
00:00:44.700 Among them, DEI, keeping men out of women's bathrooms.
00:00:50.380 Anchor babies, babies born here in America to illegal parents are not citizens.
00:00:56.160 All common sense things, folks, that would be common sense to you and I, but weren't so common to the Marxist Democrats who have sought to ruin this country over the last four years and sought to ruin this country over the last century, quarter century.
00:01:09.740 You pick a timeline.
00:01:11.480 They've always been in favor of destruction of this country and the wonderful fabrics that hold it together.
00:01:18.320 But we could all sleep well going to sleep tonight, knowing that Donald J.
00:01:23.980 Trump is back in his rightful place on Pennsylvania Avenue in the great White House with his beautiful family.
00:01:31.660 This was a time that was a long time coming, a long time in the making.
00:01:36.200 And as I say, it's just truly, truly remarkable that we're back here, that I'm at a loss of words.
00:01:44.620 But I want to bring in our guest today who's got some words.
00:01:47.720 He's a brilliant, brilliant, brilliant, brilliant GOP strategist and pollster, John McLaughlin.
00:01:53.280 John, thanks so much for joining us here on this monumental day, I think is probably the best way to describe what we've waited for now here for the last four years.
00:02:02.100 At least I have. I know you're really nonpartisan and all that good stuff, but I've been waiting for the last four years for the return of Donald J.
00:02:08.940 Trump. John, give me your thoughts as you're sitting here in your hotel room in Washington, D.C., getting ready for the new Trump administration.
00:02:20.060 Right. And by the way, on a personal note, one person who would be particularly happy today is Lou Dobbs.
00:02:26.300 Oh, yeah. Our friend, our great friend.
00:02:28.380 And this was the day that he, you know, he loved and he's probably he knows.
00:02:32.780 And I'm sure his wife, Debbie, is very happy.
00:02:35.340 And it's a great day. It's a big change for America.
00:02:38.600 And the thing.
00:02:40.880 The thing about the way things are in the country, we took a poll in December that we released and the vast majority of Americans, 66 percent, thought the country was on the wrong track.
00:02:51.320 So Biden's leaving Trump a mess. I mean, when you look at it, they said the economy was getting worse, not better, 55, 37, 84 percent negatively impacted by inflation, 48 percent to the point where they're having trouble making ends meet.
00:03:05.980 So you've got Donald Trump's being sworn in today and Joe Biden leaving him a big mess, pardoning everybody that was an accomplice on major things.
00:03:15.900 And Donald Trump has to restore the credibility and integrity to the government and then grapple with high inflation, open borders, crime rising across America, trying to end endless wars.
00:03:30.880 The Gaza terrorists, Hamas, have decided to give back three hostages in exchange for a ceasefire so they can regroup and get billions of dollars in aid for America.
00:03:41.500 And they're still holding 91 other hostages or bodies at this point.
00:03:46.300 And Donald Trump has to solve these problems, whether it's Iran, China, Russia and the Russia-Ukraine war.
00:03:52.420 I mean, he proved that politically he's superhuman in terms of what he did in the political campaign.
00:04:01.840 Nobody's ever come to the adversity he's overcome.
00:04:04.040 Nobody's ever withstood a challenge where not only were they trying to beat you in the election, they tried to impeach him twice.
00:04:11.960 They tried to then indict him, take away his wealth, take away his right to free speech, take away his right to be on the ballot and try to put him in jail to stop him from being president.
00:04:22.920 And thanks to the American people, none of those tactics worked.
00:04:27.620 And he won the popular vote and swept the battleground states.
00:04:31.420 And prior to that, we won the Republican primary in crushing fashion like no other Republican in history has ever done.
00:04:38.840 And not only didn't it work, John, it completely backfired, in my opinion.
00:04:41.960 I mean, man shot at once, another assassination attempt set up.
00:04:46.240 God only knows how many other assassination attempts there were that we didn't learn about because this government is so damn corrupt.
00:04:51.700 But against all odds, I mean, the man's a convicted felon, was sent down to Georgia, mug shotted, fingerprinted like he was some sort of criminal.
00:05:01.000 And every step of the way, John, he found a way to overcome the adversity of it.
00:05:06.440 It sounds so crazy to say that.
00:05:08.500 It sounds so insane to say that this man had to overcome adversity, but he did.
00:05:13.980 And every time, John, you know, this man for a very long time, far more than I know him, every single time they threw the kitchen sink at him, this man threw back the tub.
00:05:24.840 I mean, like I said, mug shot.
00:05:27.260 He sold mug shots after they came up on his image.
00:05:30.280 They came and said, we don't want cameras in the court.
00:05:32.620 We want cameras in the courtroom.
00:05:33.900 Trump says, yeah, I want them in the courtroom.
00:05:35.240 I want America to see this.
00:05:36.360 Democrats, no, no, no.
00:05:37.060 We don't want them in the courtroom anymore.
00:05:38.440 Get them out of the courtroom.
00:05:39.380 It was time and time again that he beat them at their own game.
00:05:44.540 How do you think Donald Trump feels today of all days?
00:05:48.780 I just saw him when he greeted President Biden and Joe Biden at the White House with Melania.
00:05:53.900 He said, I'm home.
00:05:55.500 And I think there's a sense of relief.
00:05:58.200 I mean, when you you you I listed all the political things.
00:06:01.480 But let me tell you, by the grace of God, he survived two assassination attempts and one where they clipped his ear.
00:06:07.320 And, you know, it didn't change any of the polls.
00:06:09.660 We were ahead.
00:06:10.700 We've been ahead ever since Biden triggered inflation and, you know, surrendered Afghanistan from September 21.
00:06:18.000 You could go to our Web site, McLaughlin online dot com.
00:06:21.800 You could go back on all the Lou Dobbs shows and your show where we talked about this, where we said Trump was ahead in the popular vote.
00:06:28.580 And he was ahead in the popular vote before he debated Joe Biden and crushed him.
00:06:32.760 He was ahead in the popular vote, going into the convention, coming out of the convention.
00:06:38.740 But Harris, when Biden dropped out, picked Harris to replace him.
00:06:43.280 He was ahead.
00:06:43.800 He was ahead in September.
00:06:45.060 He was ahead after their only debate.
00:06:47.220 And he led all through October.
00:06:49.280 And the American people want change.
00:06:51.560 They look at what's wrong with the country.
00:06:53.740 They look at all the problems we have and they want him to succeed.
00:06:57.100 And fortunately, we have the majorities, but majorities where we can get things passed in the House and the Senate.
00:07:05.320 And they have to focus on that.
00:07:07.040 The challenge is really ahead.
00:07:08.540 We have an opportunity.
00:07:09.760 You know, the funny thing, John, the silver lining in all this is you often see the Republicans fight.
00:07:15.220 We saw the Republicans fight when it came to the McCarthy ousting.
00:07:18.920 Mike Johnson is speaker.
00:07:20.760 Byron Donald's a speaker.
00:07:22.120 No, it's Jim Jordan is speaker.
00:07:23.220 No, it's going to be Donald Trump is speaker.
00:07:24.860 We saw, I mean, perhaps one of the biggest messes we've ever seen in the Republican Party just about a year ago.
00:07:31.100 And, you know, I don't know.
00:07:33.400 I didn't know if it was going to hurt the party.
00:07:34.800 I like to think it didn't.
00:07:35.960 And now I know it didn't.
00:07:37.280 But, you know, at the time, I was a little nervous, a little hesitant.
00:07:39.800 We have this big presidential election coming up and and the Republicans may be shooting themselves in the foot.
00:07:45.540 But it turns out not now, John, for the first time, I think in a long time, at least in my lifetime,
00:07:51.140 we saw fighting happening after this election with the Democrats.
00:07:55.700 Joe Biden clearly didn't want to leave.
00:07:57.820 Kamala pushed him off the cliff.
00:07:59.940 Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, all doing the same thing.
00:08:04.500 Apparently, Joe Biden endorsed Kamala Harris so quickly because he knew she was going to get killed by Donald Trump.
00:08:09.740 And he wanted to, you know, say, all right, this is what you guys want.
00:08:12.960 This is what I'm going to give you.
00:08:13.720 And you had told us time and time again, if Donald Trump goes up against Kamala, this is when Joe Biden was in the race.
00:08:19.280 And like you said, come back and listen to this.
00:08:20.960 He would kill Kamala worse than he'd beat Joe Biden.
00:08:24.520 What would you say to Joe Biden?
00:08:26.860 I mean, looking at the poor man, I don't mean poor man, but what he was done to him was completely wrong for any political party.
00:08:33.740 It's not something you see in America.
00:08:35.600 He brought it out himself.
00:08:37.320 I mean, President Trump is right.
00:08:38.680 He's the most he's the worst president in history of the United States.
00:08:42.220 He's also the most corrupt.
00:08:44.060 He's probably the most corrupt president in terms of he's pardoning people on his way out.
00:08:50.020 They were part of his administration, part of his his his plots against Donald Trump, that January 6th committee where he tried to stifle political opposition.
00:08:58.480 I mean, Joe Biden makes Warren Harding look like Mother Teresa with the corruption from his family, the corruption from the scandals.
00:09:07.080 He pardoned his son for for to protect the family.
00:09:11.380 I mean, it's just it's it's ridiculous.
00:09:14.020 He was you know, they I mean, there's still unaccountability for the I.
00:09:19.020 I think it was Congressman Commerce Committee said there's twenty five billion million, twenty five million dollars in payments to the Biden family from the time he was president until, you know, during while he was out of office, et cetera, before he got back into office from foreign governments, China, Romania, Ukraine.
00:09:38.220 I mean, I mean, and and and and foreign corporations.
00:09:42.780 And and but it's like, you know, we've got to sweep all that out.
00:09:47.620 And Donald Trump is going to issue an executive order.
00:09:51.180 I read a report where he's going to issue an executive order.
00:09:53.540 And the fifty one intelligence leaders who in twenty twenty signed that at find that letter saying that the Hunter Biden laptop that we know is true and valid.
00:10:07.140 Now, now it was evidence that it was Russian disinformation.
00:10:11.260 He's taken away their security clearances.
00:10:13.740 And I think that's only a start.
00:10:15.100 I mean, you have people like John Brennan, the CIA, you have others who were who basically lied to the American people to help Joe Biden win the election.
00:10:24.020 And, you know, that cost us the election back in twenty twenty on election day.
00:10:28.860 We did a poll. Thirty six percent of the Biden voters were not aware of the Hunter Biden laptop issue.
00:10:35.080 And if they had been, they would have enough votes would have switched that Trump would have won.
00:10:39.260 And the reason they didn't know was because they censored the New York Post.
00:10:44.700 They censored any media outlet, Facebook, Twitter at the time.
00:10:49.920 They censored any discussion of that fact. And that was a scary moment in American history.
00:10:56.080 And that cost us the election more so than anything else and more so than any other thing that they did.
00:11:03.660 Yeah. I mean, you can go down the list, but it was also the changing of voting laws in states like Pennsylvania, which we didn't see happen this time around.
00:11:11.240 But I think their reign is over. Their reign of terror is over.
00:11:14.560 But for these pardons, it's just mind blowing to me. Mark Milley, if Mark Milley did nothing wrong, he shouldn't need a pardon.
00:11:21.840 And what people don't know is you. A lot of people don't know. You have to accept the pardon.
00:11:25.760 You don't just get a pardon and it goes on the wayside. You have to accept this pardon.
00:11:29.420 So to see Liz Cheney, Dr. Anthony Fauci, it's so, so, so sickening to me that this man, what he did to this country, John, what he did to him, the American people for a year and a half, two years with his six foot rule, with the mask rule, what he did to kids, John, who are never going to develop normally in social settings because of taking them out of schools.
00:11:52.740 What he did to businesses that had to close based on no science. I mean, how do you ever recover from this?
00:11:58.700 And how do you look at the American people in the eye, John, and say, it's OK what you did to let bygones be bygones?
00:12:04.280 You may be a criminal. You were maybe going to be investigated, but go ahead. Be free.
00:12:09.960 I mean, I mean, Joe Biden tried to run the country like he ran Delaware, like a mafia done.
00:12:14.380 Yeah. That kind of corruption. And the Biden crime family tried to extend over America and the American people revolted in spite of the suppression.
00:12:23.780 They beat them in spite of the media acquiescence that they said they knew he was a failing president.
00:12:29.420 And the media has lost the mainstream media has lost all credibility, which is why podcasts like yours and others are doing very well, because people want the truth and they know the truth.
00:12:39.380 And something you mentioned earlier was also a point about the Democratic Party.
00:12:44.440 They're in shambles. Two years ago, really three to two years ago, Dick Morris, who's the person who introduced me for Donald Trump in 2011,
00:12:53.480 when he first thought of running against Barack Obama and we put together a campaign plan for him, spent a month and he decided to pass on that election.
00:13:01.800 But he saved it for 2015. We had three years ago, we had a plan to broaden his coalition so that we could create a, you know, a majority party.
00:13:14.020 And it's still in progress. All we do is rent these voters in the last election.
00:13:17.960 But we we have a very solid base.
00:13:21.600 Trump's base is solid with them. But we did polls where we looked at African-American voters, Hispanic voters, suburban women and younger voters.
00:13:30.420 And Trump made progress in all those groups. I mean, he won 21 percent of the African-American vote.
00:13:35.860 He won 46 percent of the Hispanic vote, historic number, better than any Republican ever before.
00:13:43.800 He won increased shares. He won the suburbs. He won increased areas of suburban women.
00:13:49.020 And he won a great share of younger voters who were sick of the lockdowns and take the lack of freedom that that happened during COVID and the lack of economic opportunities that there were.
00:14:00.420 In terms of getting better paying jobs, inflation undercutting them in terms of their prospects for even trying to buy a car or a home.
00:14:09.140 So so Trump worked on that. And, you know, the voters said they're going to give him a chance to do that.
00:14:16.940 And winning the campaign. May have been tough, but dealing with the government of Washington, it's going to be even more of a challenge.
00:14:26.780 He's got he's got four years to do it, but you really have to have a very successful first few months.
00:14:31.660 Yeah, yeah, you're absolutely right. And that relies on the Speaker of the House.
00:14:34.580 I want to take a quick break here. When we come back, we're continuing with John McLaughlin, Republican strategist and brilliant pollster.
00:14:40.360 I want to take up some of these executive orders. I want to take up Mike Johnson and the role, like I said, that he's going to play with President Trump's agenda.
00:14:48.560 And then I want to go a little bit further into this mandate that the American people sent President Trump back to Washington, D.C. on.
00:14:55.280 We're coming right back with John McLaughlin. Stay with us.
00:14:57.220 Just like all of you, I had problems sleeping. I had tried every pillow out there and nothing worked.
00:15:05.300 I'd flip flop all night, use my arm for support and fall asleep or wake up with a sore neck or maybe a headache.
00:15:11.820 Well, quality sleep comes from keeping your neck straight at night.
00:15:15.520 You have to fill in that space between your head and your bed.
00:15:18.840 That's why I invented my pillow.
00:15:20.660 My pillow's patented fill adjusts to your exact individual needs.
00:15:25.440 And it doesn't matter if you sleep on your back, stomach, side or any combination of all three.
00:15:30.080 When I got my pillow, I'm asleep almost immediately.
00:15:34.680 I stay asleep at night and I wake up more well rested in the morning.

00:15:57.580 Ship absolutely free.
00:16:01.680 Folks, we're back.
00:16:02.660 We're talking with brilliant pollster and GOP strategist John McLaughlin,
00:16:05.960 a man who was guiding President Trump along the way from 2016, before 2016,
00:16:11.700 all the way now through to 2024.
00:16:14.420 John's job is complete.
00:16:15.700 He gave President Trump great information.
00:16:18.780 He got him over the finish line.
00:16:20.460 And here he is back in the White House.
00:16:22.380 John, I want to turn to something before we get to these pardons
00:16:25.720 and some of these executive orders that President Trump is issuing.
00:16:28.600 Last night, I was watching CNN.
00:16:30.500 Can't watch Fox News.
00:16:31.480 I can't listen to it because they'll like the same stuff speed over.
00:16:33.880 I like to hear what the Democrats are saying,
00:16:35.680 not that they're intellectually smart or anything like that,
00:16:38.620 but I like to hear where their mind is and what they're thinking about.
00:16:41.840 And I'm listening to this anchor.
00:16:43.440 I've never even heard of her before, but she's anchoring a show.
00:16:45.840 And she's saying the voters don't want these deportations overwhelmingly.
00:16:52.540 They don't want President Trump to pardon the January 6th.
00:16:56.120 And I'm sitting there and she's going through this list of things that the American people don't want.
00:16:59.940 And I'm saying to myself, every poll I've seen, Americans are in favor of mass deportations.
00:17:04.780 They were even in favor of workplace raids.
00:17:07.680 They're in favor of getting rid of this DEI stuff.
00:17:10.840 They were in favor of January 6th pardons.
00:17:14.140 And pretty much what this woman was saying on CNN, that the vote, the American people,
00:17:18.660 77 million of them didn't send.
00:17:20.880 There wasn't a mandate, John.
00:17:22.200 The most votes for Republican ever in history wasn't a mandate.
00:17:26.540 And that Donald Trump needs to now learn to figure out how to work with the Democrats.
00:17:31.080 What's wrong with these people?
00:17:32.520 What they did to us for the last four years, they want us now to go work with the Democrats?
00:17:35.800 Right, that's inside the Potomac, inside the Beltway, Potomac kind of logic where they want to see how stupid you are.
00:17:45.380 And by the way, you know, I used to have a great friend, Pat Cadell, who polled for Jimmy Carter.
00:17:49.740 But then he also helped President Trump.
00:17:52.300 He was a Trump person.
00:17:53.720 And he used to say that the Democrats are the crooked party and the Republicans are the stupid party.
00:17:58.440 And we now have to show that we're not stupid.
00:18:00.500 And I will tell you on your points about deportation, that December survey that we took, we released this on our website, McLaughlinOnline.com.
00:18:08.800 When we asked the question about a favor, do you support or oppose deporting criminal illegal aliens?
00:18:15.320 And, of course, Americans support that 86 to 86 to 86 percent strongly support.
00:18:20.500 We asked them in general just deporting illegal immigrants and 66 to 27 percent.
00:18:27.100 They support that 43 percent strongly support.
00:18:30.500 I tell you, the difference is a lot of these polls, and you see in the media polls, if you call them illegal immigrants or not, a lot of the media polls don't call them illegal because they don't think it's a crime.
00:18:41.180 Like Joe Biden didn't think it was a crime to just come in the country, whether you're from China or Africa or wherever.
00:18:46.880 Yeah. And that's why part of the reason that Trump won the Hispanic vote so sadly was Puerto Ricans in the United States are citizens and they're treated like second class citizens.
00:18:58.420 And other Hispanic voters, because they're voters, they came here legally, became citizens, went through a process, took them years of time and hard work.
00:19:08.480 And they resent somebody who just walks over the border and then can come take their jobs, get taxpayer funded benefits for free, free luxury hotels in Manhattan, money for food, money for free health care, cell phones.
00:19:23.420 I mean, you talk about resentment. I mean, it was it's very, plus.
00:19:31.500 You know, a lot of them are criminal illegal aliens and they've come in with gangs and they've come in where they, you know, most of the crimes in Manhattan are committed by illegal aliens now.
00:19:40.740 And they beat up our cops. They they've killed Americans across the country.
00:19:46.520 You're not safe in suburbs or rural areas. So they brought in fentanyl.
00:19:52.120 I mean, the China is still sending in fentanyl. Donald Trump has to end that.
00:19:55.720 So. So. So as far as as far as the near future goes, there's a lot of executive orders that are going to be placed today.
00:20:05.540 And most Americans will be very, very happy that these executive orders are in place.
00:20:12.100 And today we start securing the border, make the country safe again.
00:20:15.540 And hopefully hopefully most Americans recognize how important that is.
00:20:20.220 And as far as the polls you're talking about, watch the wording of the polls from CNN and other outlets.
00:20:25.220 And if they don't phrase it as illegal immigrants, if they if there's euphemisms used in the wording of the question,
00:20:34.180 they're trying to sell us something that we don't believe in.
00:20:37.580 Yeah, I think you're absolutely right.
00:20:38.640 Some of those executive orders that that are coming out now that we're finding out one of them sticking on the issue of immigration is President Trump plans to make it illegal for anchor babies,
00:20:50.800 is the term that we we often heard as them saying is the baby of an illegal alien who comes across the border, has a baby and that baby becomes a citizen by default.
00:21:00.940 You know, I figured he was going to keep his campaign promises, but I didn't think he was going to start doing it this fast and this abrupt.
00:21:07.520 We're now hearing about workplace workplace raids, the possibility of them coming tomorrow and this week in the following week in New York and Chicago.
00:21:16.440 Eric Adams, a last minute addition to the dais of inaugural guests, President Trump saying he's looking at pardoning him.
00:21:23.560 I don't know if that's exactly a good good idea.
00:21:26.720 I think he's a very flawed man, but nonetheless, it's President Trump's decision to make.
00:21:31.600 And if it's going to make, I guess, New York a better place as New Yorkers, we should be all for it.
00:21:37.520 Any executive orders that particularly stand out to you that say, you know, Donald Trump is is keeping his word.
00:21:44.360 Donald Trump is keeping his word on day one as he promised he would.
00:21:48.740 I think there's going to be one about boring transgender men from going into girls locker rooms and playing sports.
00:21:55.540 I think most country will be most Americans, particularly sports moms who voted for Donald Trump, will be relieved about that.
00:22:02.920 And as well as the athletes, the women athletes that were trying to save women's sports.
00:22:08.560 But but that's that's one example.
00:22:10.760 But there'll be lots.
00:22:12.480 And, you know, I think the country, there's a sense that we can go we can end some of the silliness, stop our own self-inflicted decline and try to move on.
00:22:22.960 And we've got challenges if we don't have a growing economy.
00:22:26.340 A lot of the things that we want to do is are not going to happen.
00:22:29.720 So we've got to make the Trump tax cuts permanent.
00:22:32.540 In fact, in December, when we took the poll, we asked if they would want to make the Trump tax cuts permanent.
00:22:38.980 And a 70 to 17, the voters said, yes, they want to make the tax cuts and jobs back permanent.
00:22:44.640 And also the no tax on tips.
00:22:46.700 They support that 7121.
00:22:48.820 No tax on Social Security, 82 to 11.
00:22:51.500 No tax on overtime, 65, 66 to 25.
00:22:55.080 The Democrats are trying to slow us down in this regard.
00:22:58.240 And hoping we don't get this done because the midterm elections within majorities, if we don't if we don't have economic growth, it would be unlikely that we'll be able to hold those majorities.
00:23:11.620 So so what we're looking at right now is trying to get those tax cuts passed early, like before Memorial Day, because the Trump tax cuts, when they were first passed, passed in December 2017, didn't help us in 2018 when we lost both houses.
00:23:26.960 Because you didn't have economic growth.
00:23:29.220 I want to turn to Mike Johnson in just a second.
00:23:31.640 But before we move on to Mike Johnson, the job, the important job that he has to do among some of the executive voters we're expecting is January Sixters.
00:23:42.140 Do you have any polling in your M&A on January Sixters and where the people stand on pardons for these folks?
00:23:48.020 And what do you think President Trump ultimately does with the pardons for these people?
00:23:52.260 I don't have I don't have polling on that.
00:23:55.500 And some of the like you talk about some of the pardons Biden's making in some of these, you know, it's there's I'm not a legal expert, but I will I will tell you that right now.
00:24:04.080 I mean, for the media reports I've seen and from the comments President Trump has made, there's a lot of people who have been put in jail for, in effect, trespassing.
00:24:14.340 Well, when we go back to the BLM riots of 2020, you have people committing violence.
00:24:19.180 And Kamala Harris was getting out of jail with bail and they were never prosecuted.
00:24:23.000 So they burned down a police precinct in Minneapolis, et cetera.
00:24:28.320 I mean, it's just there was no accountability.
00:24:32.280 However, you know, January Sixth happened.
00:24:34.800 And I think a lot of a lot of people there were selectively prosecuted to the harshest of the Lord.
00:24:41.460 And even when they signed plea deals and were convicted, they were there with the federal prosecutors would throw at throw terrorism charges against them.
00:24:49.300 And so, you know, I mean, the vast majority of voters right now recognize January 6th as, yes, it was a it was a protest that, you know, Pelosi didn't accept the National Guard.
00:25:01.520 Schumer didn't accept the National Guard.
00:25:03.540 Donald Trump tried to put 10,000 troops in a bigger fence around the place.
00:25:07.940 And, you know, so so I think.
00:25:11.960 There's there's an there's a lot of injustice that's about to get corrected.
00:25:15.620 So I'll let I'll leave President Trump and his legal experts up to that.
00:25:19.440 And hopefully if there's, you know, from the reports I read, if there's innocent people in jails in Washington, they need to be released as soon as possible.
00:25:27.660 Even if they're not innocent and they're guilty of trespassing, I mean, they shouldn't be in a federal jail.
00:25:34.900 So, yeah, I don't, John, I don't think one of my favorite interviews I've seen this past election cycle.
00:25:40.400 I think it was on MSNBC lady goes to like a blue collar factory in Michigan and says, what do you think about January 6th?
00:25:47.680 And the guy goes, December 7th.
00:25:49.500 What are you talking about?
00:25:50.300 January 6th.
00:25:51.480 And then he goes to another guy.
00:25:53.300 What do you think about January 6th?
00:25:54.780 He goes, yeah, I really don't know much about it.
00:25:56.660 You know, I know there was like a rally or something that day.
00:25:59.020 And I think that that set the tone.
00:26:00.900 The truth of the matter is the people who cared about it, like myself, like you, like people who know the victimization and the selective prosecution that was done.
00:26:09.620 We care about it a lot more than the average American who's just trying to make ends meet, who's trying to buy groceries, who's trying to send their kids to college, who doesn't want their 5, 10-year-old kid in the bathroom with men, with other boys.
00:26:23.720 You know, that's what I think the voters cared about.
00:26:26.020 And clearly that's what resonated with them.
00:26:28.360 Although President Trump, I have to give him credit, and I often do about this, he didn't shy away from the January 6th issue.
00:26:33.760 On the debate stage in front of a national audience of millions of people, when asked about it, he stood strong and said, we're going to treat these people right.
00:26:41.540 What was done to them was wrong.
00:26:42.600 He could have completely shied away from it, said, you know, I don't think we should talk about it or whatever.
00:26:47.360 He didn't.
00:26:48.440 So his point was, for the left of the mainstream media right now, to be confused about where he stands is mind-boggling to me because he never wavered.
00:26:56.620 He never said, we'll take a look at it.
00:26:58.640 He always said these people were treated wrong, and he put it back on Joe Biden.
00:27:02.200 So I think we're going to see, you know, that wrong right.
00:27:06.400 I want to take one more quick break here, John.
00:27:08.340 And when we come back, I want to take up Mike Johnson and the role that he's going to play and how important it is for a Republican president to have a good Speaker of the House, not like Paul Ryan.
00:27:20.220 We're coming right back with brilliant pollster John McGough.
00:27:22.400 Let's do it.
00:27:24.860 This past year has been one of the hardest in my pillow's history.
00:27:28.460 It's because of you that we're making it through.

00:27:46.900 Upgrade to a queen-size MyPillow for just $18.98.

00:28:15.100 Not only that, order $75 or more ship absolutely free.
00:28:19.420 From all of us here at MyPillow, thanks, America.
00:28:23.660 We're back with John McLaughlin, brilliant pollster and GOP strategist, instrumental figure in the President Trump movement, the MAGA movement.
00:28:35.440 John, Mike Johnson, what people don't realize is how important the role is for the Speaker of the House and how they call the agenda for President Trump.
00:28:42.980 And I assume President Trump and Mike Johnson have already met about how they're going to move forward with his agenda, what they're going to start with, what they're going to end with.
00:28:50.420 And that was a big mistake that happened under Paul Ryan.
00:28:53.060 Paul Ryan, I think, started with health care, which was the hardest thing to do.
00:28:56.820 They should have never touched it.
00:28:58.160 They should have let it be, figured it out along the way.
00:29:00.700 They started with health care.
00:29:01.800 It held up things for a year and a half.
00:29:03.800 Before you knew it, the term was up.
00:29:05.540 They lost to Congress.
00:29:06.420 They lost the House.
00:29:07.840 And now President Trump's sitting here kind of lame duck.
00:29:09.840 The only thing you do is executive order.
00:29:12.620 Do you think Mike Johnson has learned his lesson over the last year and the mistakes he's made, the mistakes he's continued to make, the mistake he made just a month ago trying to skate through an omnibus bill?
00:29:23.520 Do you think Mike Johnson has finally learned his lesson and has a brain in his head that tells him we need to get this agenda through?
00:29:32.820 This was a mandate by the American people.
00:29:34.520 I think the speaker's probably very relieved that President Donald Trump is taking office today.
00:29:41.040 Yeah.
00:29:41.420 Because when you're speaker, I used to work for Denny Hasser when he was speaker.
00:29:46.120 I know Newt Gingrich.
00:29:47.060 I delivered a poll to Newt Gingrich when we were the minority.
00:29:52.600 And I said to him, I've never seen a generic vote where he was the whip at the time.
00:29:57.680 When it generic, it was up seven in 1994.
00:29:59.880 We won a landslide.
00:30:00.840 That poll, September poll, forecast that majority.
00:30:03.660 So when you're the speaker and there's a Republican president like there was with George W. Bush and Denny Hasser, you really have a team effort where a lot of things have to get done.
00:30:20.180 And after 9-11, fortunately for the country, you had leaders that were working together.
00:30:24.060 And we defied the midterm historical letdown, where in 2002, we actually picked up two Senate seats and eight House seats.
00:30:35.200 And a lot of it was due to the Americans uniting against the war on terrorism.
00:30:39.000 But on the other hand, we had a growing economy.
00:30:40.740 And President Bush took the lead and Speaker Hasser, you know, basically had a bigger majority, but he was still able to have his members vote in their own interests.
00:30:55.680 Speaker Johnson is fortunate that now you're going to have President Trump setting the agenda.
00:30:59.840 And President Trump will say, I want tax cuts because I talked to President Trump in his first term, and I said to him, why did you do health care first?
00:31:09.540 And he said, well, well, Paul Ryan and Senator McConnell told me I needed the savings to get the tax cuts.
00:31:18.900 I'm like, what are you talking about savings from health care?
00:31:20.780 Health care is like Stalingrad.
00:31:21.840 And savings, they mean health care cuts, like cutting Medicare, which people aren't in favor of.
00:31:28.120 And I said, you need economic growth.
00:31:30.060 You've got to pass the tax cuts.
00:31:32.340 Fortunately, we had leaders like Larry Kudlow who had written the tax cut plan and others who were willing to help before Larry went into the government.
00:31:38.960 And we got the tax cuts passed.
00:31:41.480 And we had economic growth that helped the country, but it was too late for the midterm elections.
00:31:47.200 Now you've got Senator Thun, you've got Speaker Johnson.
00:31:49.520 And President Trump is telling them he needs one big, beautiful bill.
00:31:55.180 He needs the tax cuts.
00:31:57.140 He needs economic growth.
00:31:58.580 He needs to keep his word to the American people.
00:32:00.900 He needs to secure the border.
00:32:02.520 Put them all in the bill.
00:32:04.660 Historically, you can get one reconciliation bill.
00:32:07.860 If Democrats want to oppose a bill that secures the border, provides economic growth, and does many other good things for the country,
00:32:16.360 let them vote against it, and we'll meet them in the midterms.
00:32:21.200 So we will beat them.
00:32:22.640 So Speaker Johnson, he's not alone anymore.
00:32:26.240 He now has a president he can count on who will set the agenda, and his job should be to make sure that slim Republican majority lines up.
00:32:35.420 And just like they did with the Lake and Riley bill, get Democrats to stand up and be on the record, whether they're for or against these principles that we have of securing the country, securing the border, and growing the economy.
00:32:51.180 And like with the Lake and Riley bill, if you're a Democrat and you're going to vote not to arrest and deport criminal illegal aliens, try to run a midterm election on that.
00:33:02.460 So I think that's what you're going to say.
00:33:06.000 I think you're going to see leadership from President Trump, and I think it would behoove the Republicans in the Senate and the House to make sure we get that job done,
00:33:17.200 because that's the path to their re-election, their majorities, as well as good peace and prosperity for the country.
00:33:24.720 That's what it's about.
00:33:25.920 And I think among some of the things that need to happen is not another dollar for Ukraine.
00:33:30.480 I mean, we've got to figure out what's going on over there before we keep writing these checks.
00:33:33.700 And Mike Johnson said to us when he first came in, we're not going to send a dollar to Ukraine.
00:33:38.020 Two days later, he was meeting with Zelensky.
00:33:39.660 Two days after that, he had a billion-dollar check.
00:33:42.260 It wasn't a billion dollars, but metaphorically speaking, had another check for Zelensky.
00:33:46.320 We've got to get our stuff fixed here at home first, John.
00:33:49.340 We have an economy that's teetering.
00:33:50.640 We have a stock market that's teetering.
00:33:53.080 I mean, there's so much uncertainty in this country right now that it can go either way at any point.
00:33:57.940 And, you know, President Trump sat down with the great Lou Dobbs in January of last year, just about a year to the date almost.
00:34:06.920 And President Trump said to Lou, he said, you know, I don't want to be Herbert Hoover.
00:34:10.940 I don't want to have an economic breakdown.
00:34:14.720 I don't want the economy to crash.
00:34:15.980 If it's going to crash, let it happen now so I can come in and fix it.
00:34:19.320 And the media went crazy.
00:34:21.000 The mainstream media went nuts.
00:34:22.340 President Trump is wishing for an economic breakdown, and he wants the markets to crash under Joe Biden.
00:34:28.300 But these people don't listen.
00:34:30.340 And I think it's part of the reason that Americans are so tired of these Democrats.
00:34:33.520 A new poll out from CNN, no less, John, has the Democrats at the lowest ratings in more than 30 years at 30 percent approval.
00:34:42.380 Do you think the Democrats are finally going to wake up once and for all?
00:34:46.000 Well, John Fetterman, I never thought he would be like the voice of reason, a man with a stroke, a man who was socialist as can be when he ran, whose wife is a socialist.
00:34:58.080 I never thought I'd see the day that John Fetterman is the voice of reason.
00:35:02.280 Why can't these Democrats learn and wake up and realize that if they did work with the Republicans and they did work on things that matter to the American people, it would benefit them?
00:35:11.720 Well, first of all, they're wrong on a lot of issues and they refuse to believe it.
00:35:19.140 But but the reality is, I think some Democrats will come around, but we have to leave.
00:35:24.940 The challenges for Republicans, conservatives, Trump supporters, we broaden our coalition.
00:35:30.120 You have our. OK, you have Tulsi Gabbard, you have reform, anti-Washington liberals and Democrats coming to our coalition because they didn't trust our government.
00:35:41.340 And they want to talk about freedom. They want to end censorship. They want to have success out there.
00:35:46.080 They want to have, you know, I mean, Kennedy wants to make America healthy again.
00:35:50.400 Who could be against that? Sure. But, you know, but but in the meantime, when you look at it, you're right.
00:35:57.240 But when you look at it, when you look at the challenges ahead, your points are exactly right.
00:36:02.900 That that that we have we have severe challenges and a lot of the Democrats are doubling down like AOC and others.
00:36:10.800 And it would be our mistake to let them, you know, back in power or slow us down.
00:36:18.100 We have to we have to basically say, no, no, we were elected. We do have a mandate.
00:36:22.540 But what's more important is our policies work. In February of twenty twenty one, I met with President Trump.
00:36:29.040 Jason Miller was there and we were going through a poll.
00:36:32.480 And I said, do you realize sixty three percent of all Republicans want you to run again?
00:36:37.700 And I said to him, when Biden's policies failed, just like Jimmy Carter's policies failed, there was buyer's remorse.
00:36:43.480 They went to Reagan. When his policies fail, they'll want Donald Trump.
00:36:47.440 There'll be buyer's remorse and you'll get reelected.
00:36:51.480 And that's what he exactly did. He put and he loves this country.
00:36:55.480 He's the most patriotic person I ever met. And he put us back on the path to success.
00:37:01.520 And we just we have to now work every day to make sure that excessive success is real.
00:37:07.820 I got to be honest, there wasn't a doubt in my mind, John, from the second that Donald Trump left the White House on January 20th of 2021
00:37:14.200 and did that little mini rally at the Air Force Base.
00:37:16.920 There wasn't a doubt in my mind that he was ever running again.
00:37:19.440 And I went on predicted and I placed a few bets along the way that Donald Trump was going to run again,
00:37:24.080 and that Donald Trump was going to be the nominee. And I made a little bit of money on it because that's him.
00:37:28.160 He's not the kind of man who's going to go out on an L.
00:37:30.380 And I don't think it was really a loss in 2020.
00:37:32.760 So a lot of people don't think it was a loss in 2020.
00:37:35.720 Right. I could be the first pollster that worked for a successful candidate who's gotten elected three times since FDR.
00:37:43.020 Right.
00:37:45.540 Go ahead. Go ahead.
00:37:47.600 Who won the three presidential elections in a row.
00:37:50.400 So it's it's truly remarkable and more votes each time.
00:37:54.320 I mean, it's truly remarkable what this man has managed to do.
00:37:58.500 He's truly something else.
00:37:59.900 Before we wrap up, and I appreciate you taking the time to join us on this monumental day in America.
00:38:05.700 I'm obviously not in D.C. this time I was there in 2016.
00:38:08.240 That was enough for me. I supported President Trump then.
00:38:11.040 I support him now. But, you know, taking the trip out of there, I'm heading off vacation today.
00:38:15.480 So good. But, you know, seeing everyone's Instagram posts and Twitter messages, it's so cool to me to see how mainstream this has become.
00:38:26.580 Before the show, we were talking about President Trump on stage with the village people.
00:38:30.000 These guys hated him in 2016.
00:38:32.380 They hated him in 2020.
00:38:33.980 So many people that just disliked Snoop Dogg.
00:38:38.100 I think I did a video trying to kill Trump.
00:38:40.540 He's out there performing at the crypto thing.
00:38:43.340 All these rappers, John, all these influencers, these people who came out of the woodwork, some for good reasons, some because they're hucksters and opportunists, a lot of people there.
00:38:54.320 But nonetheless, it's just so cool to me that it's cool to support President Trump.
00:38:59.840 It's cool to support a movement.
00:39:01.560 And it feels like something, John, that you're on the ground there that I've never experienced before, I've never seen before, sporting events, victory parades for the New York Yankees on the Canyon of Heroes on 6th Avenue in New York City.
00:39:16.600 Nothing seems to feel like it.
00:39:18.840 Even going back to that rally we were at at Madison Square Garden, John, the energy, Hulk Hogan coming out on the stage.
00:39:24.340 It was just so cool to see the American people love each other and enjoy something and unite.
00:39:31.680 77 million people, John.
00:39:33.520 I can't agree with someone on where to go to dinner yet.
00:39:36.520 You get 77 million people to agree on an agenda and a movement for this country.
00:39:41.360 What's your thoughts?
00:39:42.620 Well, I think you're exactly right.
00:39:44.200 There are people right now, as we speak, in 20-degree weather that feels like 10-degree weather, onlining the streets of Washington, just watching his motorcade go by from the White House to the Capitol.
00:39:59.780 And there's no outdoor inaugural.
00:40:02.620 A lot of them know they won't get into the Capitol One Center.
00:40:05.940 But they've stayed in Washington to celebrate.
00:40:09.280 And they have hope.
00:40:12.720 Now we have to get our policies done, get our policies implemented, so that hope becomes a reality and make things better.
00:40:20.080 And like President Trump said, we can have a golden age of America, and that would be fantastic.
00:40:25.240 But it's going to take a lot of hard work and a lot of public support to get us there.
00:40:29.180 But there's hope now.
00:40:30.580 Yeah.
00:40:31.020 It's time to make America great again.
00:40:33.060 John McLaughlin, we hope you enjoy your day.
00:40:34.880 And have a blast out there.
00:40:36.020 Have a drink for me.
00:40:36.780 And tell President Trump, hey, and we all miss him.
00:40:40.960 And the great Lou Dobbs is in heaven, smiling down.
00:40:44.760 Yes, he is.
00:40:45.640 Your mentor is very happy with you, John, right now.
00:40:49.040 So that's great.
00:40:50.900 John, enjoy your day, brother, and have a good one.
00:40:53.320 All right.
00:40:53.700 Thank you, John.
00:40:55.080 Thanks, everybody, for being with us today.
00:40:56.700 And thank you to John McLaughlin for taking the time and his busy day in Washington, D.C.
00:41:01.760 to join us here on The Great America Show on this monumental day in America, the swearing in, the inauguration of President Donald J.
00:41:09.280 Trump and his return to the White House, making history once again, folks.
00:41:13.760 And we hope you're enjoying this day as much as we all are here on The Great America Show.
00:41:17.320 We waited four years for this moment to come, and it has finally, finally arrived.
00:41:22.340 So thanks all for being with us today.
00:41:23.680 We really appreciate it.
00:41:25.100 We'll see you back here tomorrow for The Great America Show, where our quest for truth, justice, and the American way continues, folks.
00:41:30.960 Until then, may God bless you, may God bless America, and may God bless the great Lou Dobbs.
00:41:35.680 God bless you.
