00:00:33.760 Hello, everybody, and welcome to The Great America Show.
00:00:36.860 Thanks for being with us.
00:00:38.320 Our guest today is one of the nation's leading senators in holding the Biden administration to account.
00:00:44.620 He's Senator Eric Schmidt of the great state of Missouri.
00:00:48.560 And now, Senator Eric Schmidt, and I have to say thanks for being with us here today, and it's great to see you.
00:00:55.820 I would just like to start with all that is going on here.
00:00:58.840 I'm going to begin, if I may, with a takeout in the Wall Street Journal this morning.
00:01:03.760 Center page, front, above the fold, all about Biden's incapacity to be in the job he now has.
00:01:12.500 Your thoughts about the fact that both parties now are talking about his infirmity, his cognitive impairment.
00:01:20.160 Well, I think it's obvious that he's in a diminished capacity, and I really don't, as a human being, I don't take any pleasure in pointing that out.
00:01:31.000 It's just a reality, and it's a very – the president of the United States is a very tough job.
00:01:34.860 It's a very demanding job.
00:01:36.560 It requires a lot of energy, a lot of capability, a lot of mental acuity, and he doesn't have that.
00:01:42.140 And I think that that's not – Lou, that's not going to get any better for him.
00:01:46.220 There's a few realities that he's not going to be able to change between now and Election Day, you know, the crushing inflation, the crisis at the border, and his diminished capacity in his age.
00:01:57.240 That's not going to improve.
00:01:59.040 I think it's the American people, you know, sort of underlying a lot of the polls with their dissatisfaction.
00:02:05.120 There's an underlying kind of belief that he's not up to the job, and I think that's going to play out in November.
00:02:10.280 The American people have made it pretty clear they're aware of his impairment.
00:02:16.320 What is not clear is why the national corporate media are pretending that he is perfectly fine, no matter how many times he stumbles across a stage or up a ladder going on to Air Force One or loses his place in a teleprompter read.
00:02:33.900 What do you think of the fact they won't even acknowledge that reality, let alone tell the truth on so many issues?
00:02:41.660 Well, I think there's two reasons for it.
00:02:43.360 One is journalism in many ways is dead.
00:02:47.660 These have essentially become advocates with keyboards, and they're pushing the regime's narrative all the time.
00:02:54.940 The second piece of that is Trump derangement syndrome.
00:02:57.500 I think these folks are, you know, many of them are broken.
00:03:00.720 COVID and Trump broke a lot of these people, and they can't conceptually put their minds around the idea that Donald Trump's going to be the 47th president of the United States,
00:03:10.920 and they're willing to do anything, including hide information for the American people, is what sort of what their job is, right, to speak truth to power.
00:03:19.680 They won't do it because they're covering for Joe Biden because they want to, you know, they just despise President Trump so much.
00:03:25.920 And the Trump derangement syndrome, I know that a lot of people, and perhaps yourself, consider that a real thing.
00:03:36.640 I think of it as a device, a subterfuge on the part of the Marxist left in this country.
00:03:42.340 As they talk about him, they gin up all sorts of disinformation, outright lies about this president and ignore entirely the fact that he was one of the most successful presidents in one term in American history.
00:04:01.020 That's right, and not only do they deny the success that President Trump had and his administration had, it's also in many ways, Lou, an extension of their kind of disdain they have for real America, right?
00:04:20.040 In many ways, they're passing judgment on everybody who would support him or defend him or vote for him.
00:04:27.060 I mean, it's the basket of deplorables, right, that Hillary Clinton talked about.
00:04:31.480 I mean, this is the same theme.
00:04:34.400 They look down on people and, you know, places around from Missouri flyover country, right, where there's a lot of common sense.
00:04:42.240 They just don't understand how people could support someone like President Trump.
00:04:45.320 But so it plays out in so many different ways.
00:04:48.920 I think that's just that's sort of a reality of the situation.
00:04:51.540 And also, you're right.
00:04:55.080 They can't even hide it anymore.
00:04:57.240 I mean, one of the things social media has been good for is sort of exposing these so-called journalists like a ticket, Dan Rather, for example.
00:05:05.340 I mean, this guy was presented to me.
00:05:07.080 I'm 48.
00:05:07.540 So growing up in the 1980s and watching, you know, whether it's a CBS Evening News or Nightly News or whatever, you know, when you didn't have the diffusion of information, when you watch this, you were presented that Dan Rather was like this objective journalist.
00:05:20.060 Well, we all know that's not true.
00:05:21.720 We kind of knew there was bias before, but it's been on full display and supercharged on steroids now with these folks.
00:05:28.640 And so that's why I think that pretending that they're objective journalists is a total joke.
00:05:33.940 It's a total joke.
00:05:35.320 And unfortunately, one other point on that, I think that I think is worth making, because we're about to enter this phase of the campaign where all Joe Biden has is fear mongering and scare tactics.
00:05:49.300 Right.
00:05:49.760 So getting back to this Trump arrangement syndrome, all they have left is to try to scare the bejesus out of the American people to say that, you know, President Trump's going to end democracy.
00:05:59.100 And, you know, all of this nonsense.
00:06:01.220 The truth is, President Trump didn't go after Hillary Clinton and weaponize the DOJ.
00:06:06.300 He didn't do that.
00:06:08.240 In many ways, you know, you've got the Democrats now who have fully weaponized, you know, the legal system to their benefit.
00:06:16.100 They've censored millions of Americans.
00:06:18.580 So all these things that they claim President Trump was going to do or is going to do, they're doing all of them.
00:06:24.540 And I think the American people are waking up to this reality that this isn't your grandfather's Democrat party anymore.
00:06:30.600 These folks, they're dominated by the left and they're hellbent on power and control.
00:06:36.460 And that's their total ethos.
00:06:37.780 And control and power is precisely what they're trying to preserve.
00:06:43.840 President Biden, obviously, is nothing more than a puppet.
00:06:46.460 And the Obama acolytes, perhaps Obama himself, who are gathered together to manage Joe Biden and the agenda, they don't want to lose that very safe enclave they've created at the White House and at the top of our government.
00:07:04.940 One of the most amazing frauds is Mayorkas, Alejandro Mayorkas, the DHS secretary, saying we've been doing a great job on the border.
00:07:18.380 There is it's perfectly secure border, even as millions of illegal aliens were being invited into the country across that perfectly secure border.
00:07:26.580 I think it may be more secure if you include the fact that Joe Biden turned that border over to the Mexican drug cartels.
00:07:34.940 For sex trafficking, deadly drugs, you name it, illegal aliens.
00:07:39.960 Excuse me.
00:07:41.420 But so now suddenly he is bragging about what he's going to do to secure the border with five months remaining in the year to Election Day.
00:07:53.040 Give us your sense of what in the world he's thinking, his strategists are thinking, because it looks preposterous.
00:08:00.440 Well, it strikes me if you could draw some analogy, like an arsonist who sets a major building ablaze and then shows up to put out the fire with a garden hose.
00:08:07.960 Right. It's it's it's a joke.
00:08:10.660 And you you hit it a nail on the head.
00:08:13.260 You got to go back.
00:08:14.400 It literally at the end of 2020, the end of President Trump's firm, we had the most secure border we have had in 45 years.
00:08:23.080 OK, that's that's the reality that Joe Biden was inheriting.
00:08:26.460 But again, this this sense of undoing everything that was Trump dominated the thinking at the White House.
00:08:34.440 And what did they do? They Joe Biden instituted about 100 executive orders undoing all of those successes and they didn't hide it like they bragged about it.
00:08:45.020 Myorkis was on national TV bragging about this.
00:08:48.320 And so, you know, the party is a full blown open borders party now.
00:08:51.960 This is what they want.
00:08:53.500 They view, you know, they they laugh at American sovereignty.
00:08:57.240 They view these borders as sort of these artificial lines that divide world citizens from, you know, taxpayer funded benefits in America.
00:09:05.480 And so this is what they want.
00:09:07.320 And here we are now, 10 million illegal immigrants later, fentanyl destroying communities and lives all across this country.
00:09:16.280 The cartels are running the show.
00:09:18.620 We have a real national security problem now.
00:09:21.240 There are terrorists in this country because they know there is a way for you from anywhere in the world, including Chinese nationals.
00:09:27.600 Now we've seen a record number, a seven thousand percent increase in Chinese nationals entering across our southern border.
00:09:34.380 So, you know, we have only begun to feel the impacts of what this means.
00:09:40.300 And so they opened it up.
00:09:43.200 This is their problem.
00:09:44.460 And the idea that he's going to have this executive order now that normalizes a million people a year, you know, at a minimum, a million people.
00:09:51.960 And I think it's important to point out, Lou, historically, the policy of the United States of America among Republican and Democrat administrations typically was if you come here illegally, you're detained and then you are deported unless you have a reason that to stay that is recognized by the court system like asylum.
00:10:11.280 Nine out of 10 asylum claims are typically rejected.
00:10:13.600 So that had been our system forever.
00:10:16.640 Not anymore.
00:10:17.880 They've laid waste to that.
00:10:19.340 And so the cartels now know that they've got free reign to bring millions and millions of people here illegally and all the problems that come with that.
00:10:26.060 So they got what they wanted.
00:10:27.860 And whatever this executive order does, it doesn't solve the problem.
00:10:31.540 And it also, by the way, excludes people who come here by way of the app or unaccompanied children, which is insane because completely opens the door and keeps the door open, I should say, for the cartels to traffic kids.
00:10:47.340 Yeah, it's to the point, this partnership between the Biden regime and the cartels, it's to the point now that one wouldn't be surprised to learn that Joe Biden is getting his customary 10 percent of all of the proceeds from trafficking, from illegal aliens, from deadly drugs.
00:11:06.700 We're talking with Eric Smith, senator of the great state of Missouri.
00:11:11.360 We're going to come right back as we continue the conversation.
00:11:14.760 Please stay with us.
00:11:15.720 Folks, you know, I beg everyone to get ready for the next crisis.
00:11:21.280 And when it comes, our lives will likely change overnight, whether it's natural disaster, war or another disease.
00:11:28.560 We have to be ready as we can be.
00:11:30.600 We saw what happened in 2020 when we found ourselves dependent on global supply chains.
00:11:35.460 We're still dependent on China and other countries for more than 90 percent of all our pharmaceuticals.
00:11:40.460 With clusters of respiratory illnesses popping up around the world and here, we need to be prepared.
00:11:47.160 And now is the time to make certain you have what your family needs when the next crisis hits.
00:11:53.060 Our good friends, Dr. Peter McCullough and Dr. Drew Penske over at the Wellness Company have put together just what you and I need with the Wellness Company's medical emergency kit.

00:12:49.060 Be ready tomorrow.
00:12:52.400 We're back.
00:12:53.480 We're talking with Senator Eric Schmidt of Missouri.
00:12:56.460 And I just have to say, this is a moment in politics I didn't think any of us would be sharing, frankly, because to think we have an administration that has declared the American people to be their public enemy number one, the government itself is weaponized against Americans, at least of one party.
00:13:16.180 And I don't hear the Republicans talking particularly aggressively about what we face here, which is a government weaponized, despite having the weaponized subcommittee.
00:13:27.860 It's just we just don't seem to be hearing the Republican Party talk about how serious the assault is on America itself, our values, our heritage and our and our future.
00:13:41.280 Well, listen, I think leadership requires sort of recognizing the moment that you're in, having the courage to speak out about it and then lead with some solutions right on how to fix it.
00:13:55.520 And there is no doubt, Lou, we've we are not we're not arguing anymore with Democrats about what the marginal tax rate should be.
00:14:04.060 Those are not the debates that we're really having in this country right now.
00:14:07.140 The Democrats want to fundamentally change this country forever.
00:14:11.260 And, you know, I mean, if they ever had power of both the Senate, the House and the presidency again, I mean, they have stated people are campaigning on this, by the way, which is to say that they would end the filibuster.
00:14:21.820 They'd pack the Supreme Court.
00:14:23.000 They would add states to the union, which, of course, then add senators to the chamber.
00:14:29.740 They would federalize our elections and they would have open borders and amnesty.
00:14:32.700 That's the world that they want everyone to live in.
00:14:35.080 And so I think so we have to understand that this is we're living in a different time right now.
00:14:42.900 And I think that we have to have, again, the courage to fight back because they mean business.
00:14:48.440 They are not messing around.
00:14:49.560 Look, I'll just give you one example.
00:14:50.560 So I've been in the Senate for a year and a half.
00:14:52.060 I was attorney general before that.
00:14:53.220 I got here in the history of our republic, Lou.
00:14:56.360 There have been there are 23 impeachments that came over from the House of Representatives.
00:15:00.500 In every instance, in every instance, we've lived in difficult times, civil war, you know, there's a lot of things that have happened in this country.
00:15:08.420 Every instance, there has been a trial in the United States Senate.
00:15:11.500 Now, there could be an acquittal and there could be a removal.
00:15:14.140 We've had a trial.
00:15:15.000 Chuck Schumer just decided, yep, we don't want to do the trial.
00:15:18.900 So they voted among party lines to not have a trial.
00:15:21.240 Like that's the level of control that they want to have and just blow away any norms or the Constitution or any laws that we have.
00:15:29.320 I think you've articulated powerfully the motivation of the Marxist Dems who control the Democrat Party, a power control, of course.
00:15:41.020 But I don't hear the motivation of the Republican Party in a rejoinder, a rebuttal, or just a response with some significant energy and purpose to what the assault is by the left.
00:15:57.160 And if there were a time, to your point, these are extraordinary times in which we live.
00:16:03.240 A critical election is before us five months out.
00:16:06.160 And I just hear too little from the Republicans.
00:16:12.240 Well, you know, I'm certainly trying to do everything that I can.
00:16:15.560 It's one of the reasons why, again, look, there's one other example of this is this divisive and discriminatory DEI, right?
00:16:23.960 They push it in the military, which has been, you know, a great meritocracy where people from any background or walk-alive can have ticker tape parades in New York because they're war heroes.
00:16:33.080 Right.
00:16:33.760 It's hurting recruiting.
00:16:34.640 And so I'm on the Armed Services Committee.
00:16:36.460 I'm the Secretary of the Navy.
00:16:37.680 I said, listen, you're talking about, you know, you have, first of all, you fired 5,000 people who, because they didn't get the COVID shot, you're driving away recruits through this divisive DEI policy.
00:16:51.000 And you're here to tell us that you don't think that has affected our readiness as a military.
00:16:55.160 But, again, they're being captured by this ideology.
00:16:58.320 And it's way more important than them to virtue signal and to act like they care more than to, you know, believe in and support the things that have made this country great.
00:17:08.480 It is ultimately an assault on America.
00:17:10.660 It's an assault on American ideas.
00:17:11.980 It's an assault on merit.
00:17:12.880 And if we don't stop them, if we don't defund this kind of stuff, if we don't push back, this is the slow march to kind of tyranny.
00:17:20.960 I think, Lou, COVID exposed a lot of this in many ways.
00:17:25.360 I do think there are more and more people waking up.
00:17:27.500 COVID exposed this just desire for them to aggregate and exercise power.
00:17:32.280 Look at the vaccine.
00:17:33.700 You know, you had OSHA, which was an agency created to make sure forklifts people they backed up, was trying to force a medical procedure on 100 million people.
00:17:42.040 And if you didn't do it, you were going to be fired and lose your job and your livelihood and your family would suffer.
00:17:47.440 This is nuts.
00:17:48.400 And, you know, when I was AG, we pushed back.
00:17:50.580 We filed a lawsuit to stop it.
00:17:51.920 It went to the Supreme Court.
00:17:52.720 We won the Missouri versus Biden lawsuit that I initiated on this vast censorship enterprise.
00:17:57.340 We fought.
00:17:57.760 We fought on that.
00:17:58.600 We won so far.
00:17:59.580 It's in front of the Supreme Court.
00:18:00.460 So, again, to your point, we have got to be a place.
00:18:03.700 We've got to be a party.
00:18:04.660 We've got to be people who are going to fight back because we love this country and we want our kids to have the same opportunities that we had and live in a society where we value individual rights and not this collectivist mentality.
00:18:16.260 We're talking with Senator Eric Schmidt of Missouri.
00:18:21.680 We are going to continue the conversation right after these quick words.
00:18:25.300 Stay with us.
00:18:25.760 We'll be right back.
00:18:26.760 I promise.

00:19:45.280 We're back with Senator Eric Schmidt.
00:19:47.980 And Senator Fauci put on quite a performance this week before the House Subcommittee on the Coronavirus, part of the House Oversight Committee.
00:19:57.380 He was assailed for his lack of character and his presumptions to pursue, to your two words, power and control over NIH and the country's public health agencies and policies.
00:20:15.400 Your thoughts about how he fared before that questioning in the House Committee?
00:20:23.840 Well, I think the American people were reminded of what a total and complete fraud Anthony Fauci is.
00:20:29.600 I mean, if there was a statue or if there was a Mount Rushmore of, like, you know, these folks in COVID who were the real villains, I mean, Fauci's on there.
00:20:38.160 And it's much deeper than people realize.
00:20:41.100 As I mentioned, I filed that Missouri versus Biden lawsuit.
00:20:43.640 We took the deposition of Anthony Fauci in that.
00:20:45.860 So I saw it firsthand and behind closed doors in a deposition in that lawsuit.
00:20:51.440 I mean, he was all in on this stuff.
00:20:53.760 And it was so phony, too, Lou.
00:20:55.200 I mean, we pulled out an email in that deposition of when we asked him about masks and him saying how effective they were.
00:21:01.820 We pulled out an email early on in 2020 where a friend asked him, hey, I'm getting on a plane.
00:21:06.880 Should I wear a mask or not?
00:21:07.920 And he's like, no, masks don't work.
00:21:09.640 You don't need to wear a mask.
00:21:10.760 And then, of course, like literally a couple weeks later, they were going to, you know, prevent you from getting COVID.
00:21:16.840 Just like they told us the vaccine was going to prevent us from getting COVID.
00:21:21.260 That was a lie.
00:21:23.080 So all along the way, I mean, this guy had way too much authority.
00:21:26.700 I mean, there were Fauci candles.
00:21:28.440 I mean, people were worshiping in the altar of Anthony Fauci.
00:21:31.040 It was nuts.
00:21:32.240 And we can never let that happen again.
00:21:33.780 We can't because it's a really dangerous road to go down to give somebody like that that much influence and authority.
00:21:40.140 But that's where we were.
00:21:41.580 I mean, he admitted also, as he was testifying, that they just made up the six feet social distancing thing.
00:21:48.440 Right.
00:21:48.600 And remember, if you were if you were if you violated that, you were ostracized.
00:21:52.680 If you didn't have a vaccine card, you couldn't travel.
00:21:55.120 If you didn't have a mask on, you couldn't see your you know, you couldn't see a loved one dying in a nursing home.
00:22:00.460 Right.
00:22:00.920 I mean, this was totally insane.
00:22:03.580 And Fauci, again, I think just reminded people how smug he is, how arrogant he is, how wrong he's been for a long time.
00:22:10.360 And to the point, we're watching people die in nursing homes because of the ventilators and assorted other causes.
00:22:21.000 But nonetheless, the prescription was wrong.
00:22:24.020 There was very little concern on the part of the establishment medical community to actually treat COVID-19.
00:22:33.680 It was all about vaccination.
00:22:35.540 It was and they dismissed ivermectin, for example, which India used to great effect.
00:22:44.660 It was probably what saved them a greater contagion.
00:22:47.020 Contagion, the misinformation, the lies that came out of the medical community and the public health establishment and the public health agencies is there's never really been a finding as to how bad it was.
00:23:03.920 And no one, to my knowledge, to this day has been held accountable for a pension or anything.
00:23:12.500 Yeah, I think, you know, if Republicans take the Senate, one of the things we ought to do, we ought to have a January 6th like committee on COVID.
00:23:21.600 And people ought to be held accountable.
00:23:24.120 They destroyed lives and many lives were lost because of these terrible decisions.
00:23:27.940 And they knew better.
00:23:28.860 They had the information or they didn't just admit they were making it up.
00:23:31.720 Got to remember, they were roping off playgrounds, you know, bulldozing skate parks.
00:23:39.460 I mean, people weren't allowed on beaches.
00:23:42.220 I mean, this was like took us back centuries and how people view lockdowns and things like that, you know.
00:23:47.960 But they did it with such arrogance and if you dared to question the regime's narrative, you were ostracized.
00:23:53.980 People lost their medical licenses, right?
00:23:56.480 The whole idea, I mean, Fauci proclaimed to be the science.
00:24:00.920 Science requires constantly challenging assumptions, constantly, you know, testing and retesting and challenging and not accepting things and moving forward.
00:24:11.460 Not saying, you know, just everybody being ostracized or censored because they had a dissenting view.
00:24:20.040 And that's what we were living with.
00:24:21.860 And, you know, and even the origins of COVID, right?
00:24:24.400 I mean, Fauci, what came across that deposition, he was asked about it also.
00:24:29.680 Fauci knew that they were in a gain of function research was disfavored.
00:24:34.700 It wasn't supposed to be funded.
00:24:35.760 He went around that by this funding, this eco health alliance that was ultimately funding what was going on in the Wuhan lab.
00:24:43.840 Fauci knew that and he knew if that ever got out, people would blame him.
00:24:47.700 So what did he do?
00:24:48.820 He cooked the books on this thing, said it was a conspiracy theory.
00:24:52.940 Anybody that talked about it was a racist.
00:24:55.220 I mean, this is the level of deception that they employed, again, to smear into other the other ring of their enemies.
00:25:03.060 And that's what they were doing.
00:25:04.580 And so, you know, Fauci, that's why I said this guy's a total and complete fraud.
00:25:09.280 He's still giving commencement addresses at these liberal elite universities, which I find amazing.
00:25:14.860 But but I think the American people have caught on to it.
00:25:17.760 And again, we can never let this happen again.
00:25:20.200 We just can't.
00:25:22.180 Universities.
00:25:23.220 And I couldn't agree with you more, Senator.
00:25:26.780 Universities, campuses, colleges all over the country, rampaging anti-Semitism.
00:25:33.380 It has been in a sudden and shocking development as if it just sprung suddenly from from the student minds at those universities.
00:25:45.340 But we know better.
00:25:46.740 We know that the Chinese have been funding some of the protests, pro-Hamas protests.
00:25:52.500 We know further that we have a real problem in this country on our campuses because the university leadership, chancellors, presidents, boards of trustees, you name it.
00:26:05.760 We're slow to in almost every instance, slow to react, to respond.
00:26:10.520 And we've got a real problem because at the same time, the Biden administration is attacking free speech like no other, including Barack Obama.
00:26:20.000 Our establishment universities and academia are just sitting there, it seems hogtied, paralyzed by the prospect that they might be considered somehow retro or regressive by their peers to actually say, you know, genocide is a bad idea.
00:26:40.080 You can actually say that out loud.
00:26:42.220 Yeah.
00:26:42.480 Well, and I, you know, people that have been paying attention to this shouldn't be all that surprised about the anti-Semitism that took hold or has taken hold of on on college campuses and beyond.
00:26:55.040 Because here's the thing, if you push this divisive DEI ideology, which is what's happened and now it's in grade schools with critical race theory, it's all under the umbrella of this cultural Marxism that seeks to divide people by race.
00:27:07.180 It's race essentialism, right?
00:27:08.800 It's the only thing that matters.
00:27:10.320 You divide the room by the oppressor and the oppressed.
00:27:14.280 And anybody that's brought into this needs to go through their own sort of struggle session.
00:27:19.360 It is classic Marxism.
00:27:22.060 I mean, it didn't really work in this country from an economic perspective as they push this ideology because people still believe that, you know, any, you could come from any walk of life and achieve great things.
00:27:32.140 So this idea of merit ultimately took hold, right?
00:27:34.720 People believe in a meritocracy.
00:27:37.440 Well, if you try to undercut the underpinnings of that, right, and that your success depends solely on your race or your failures solely on your race, I mean, you help destroy all of that and the idea of America.
00:27:49.020 And that's the point of all this.
00:27:50.140 And so is it really that surprising that you see this anti-Americanism on college campuses?
00:27:55.400 Is it really that surprising you see this anti-Semitism when the Jews are lower on the totem pole than Hamas because of their skin color?
00:28:05.160 Right?
00:28:05.680 That's what this comes down to.
00:28:06.720 They're the colonizer, which is, by the way, historical amnesia to a level, to a degree that, you know, is hard to sort of talk about.
00:28:16.700 But that's what we're left with.
00:28:18.480 And so it is fundamentally important for us to root out this divisive ideology in our education system.
00:28:25.080 And I think the way you do it, Lou, and not just diagnosing the problem, but a solution is let's get back to civics.
00:28:30.600 Let's get back to what the American idea was.
00:28:32.600 These things unify us.
00:28:34.280 The idea that we have a mission statement in the Declaration of Independence, that all people are created equal.
00:28:39.900 And we're always constantly trying to live up to this, and that you can achieve, you can pursue your dreams, that we believe in individual rights.
00:28:46.600 And our Constitution creates a framework for protecting dissenting views.
00:28:50.900 And, you know, the separation of powers, which diffuses power to protect us from this aggregation of power.
00:28:57.040 Those things can bring us together.
00:28:58.540 But guess what are the things that are dismissed?
00:29:00.380 Those things are dismissed.
00:29:01.300 And the only thing a lot of people know about some of the founding fathers is that maybe they own slaves.
00:29:06.380 Like, that's the stuff that we have to push back against to sort of bring this country together.
00:29:11.220 But, you know, this going, continuing to go down this road of DEI, diversity, equity, inclusion, so-called diversity, equity, inclusion.
00:29:17.040 One thing that's not included in diversity is diversity of thought.
00:29:20.040 Because on these college campuses, there are no conservative voices.
00:29:23.140 In fact, if they're even allowed on the back bench, that would be unusual.
00:29:28.180 They're just usually not allowed to speak.
00:29:30.360 Right.
00:29:31.040 Absolutely.
00:29:32.280 It's been great talking with you, Senator.
00:29:34.260 And we thank you very much for your time and your thoughts.
00:29:37.960 Appreciate it.
00:29:38.700 Anytime, Lou.
00:29:39.820 I've been watching you for years.
00:29:41.840 You do a great job.
00:29:42.880 And thanks for your voice, too.
00:29:44.660 Thanks so much for all you're doing, Senator.
00:29:46.480 Thank you.
00:29:46.960 Take care.
00:29:47.640 Eric Smith.
00:29:48.500 God bless.
00:29:49.460 Thanks to Senator Eric Smith.
