00:00:51.000 He was, well, he was eviscerated, torn up last week in cross-examination by the Trump attorney, Todd Blanche.

00:00:59.260 Cohen caught lying on a number of occasions, or as they say in court, he misspoke.

00:01:05.180 Nonetheless, his performance was so bad, even the good folks over at CNN.

00:01:08.960 And I'm telling you, top-notch left-wing Marxist guy Anderson Cooper, well, had to admit, Cohen's a liar.

00:01:19.000 Do you have doubts that that conversation happened the way Michael Cohen testified on his direct examination, that he called Trump and so on?

00:01:51.100 You know, Todd Blanche is pointing out, you were testifying just on Tuesday in this court, you know, and all morning long he's been pointing out, you know, inconsistencies in Michael Cohen's testimony,

00:02:05.500 or at least questionable aspects of Michael Cohen's testimony, but nothing that you would necessarily, as a juror, think, okay, that's clearly a lie.

00:02:14.100 Maybe that's just a, he was misunderstanding, or, you know, he was bragging, or whatever.

00:02:20.600 This one, Todd Blanche clearly saved this to right before the lunch break, I'm assuming, because it was just so well crafted,

00:02:37.660 Some 14-year-old is sending him, you know, nasty text messages, and he's going to call a Keith Schiller about it.

00:02:52.380 I think it is severely damaging to Michael Cohen's testimony.

00:02:55.280 The cross-examination of Cohen is expected to continue today, and Trump's attorney says they expect to start bringing in their own witnesses this week as the case winds down.

00:03:06.280 While Trump fights in that New York courtroom, Joe Biden's DHS is fighting to protect terrorists.

00:03:12.560 Right here, on the Homeland, the Department of Homeland Security has declined to share the nationalities of those illegal aliens on the terror watch list who entered the United States.

00:05:17.420 But let's talk a little politics, if we could, just to kind of warm things up here.

00:05:24.240 You are, without question, I think one of the most interesting political figures in the country, in part because most people identify you first as a great neurosurgeon, a great American.

00:05:36.760 And you've got, I think what the word is, is cachet, because you're above the, let's say, the run-of-the-mill kind of narrative that runs through politics.

00:05:52.320 And that, by the way, I mean, is the absolute compliment that it sounds like.

00:05:56.540 I want to turn to all of the talk right now about vice presidential candidates.

00:06:02.380 I think you would make one heck of a vice president.

00:06:06.400 I think you are a terrific public servant, in large measure, because you're a reluctant public servant.

00:06:14.180 And I'd just love to hear what you and your wife have to say about the thought of serving as vice president.

00:06:21.880 Well, you know, there is no question that we're going to do everything we can to help preserve our country.

00:06:30.880 It's in a very difficult situation right now.

00:06:34.420 And should I be asked to assume that role, I would certainly seriously take that to the Lord in prayer.

00:07:29.900 And it's critical that we need to look at it is precisely that, a culture war against the American family.

00:07:36.820 The American family is being bombarded economically, societally, culturally.

00:07:41.900 Give us your sense of where we are right now in the culture wars.

00:07:51.860 Is it showing any sign of abating?

00:07:56.000 Well, it's a very serious problem, which is, of course, the reason I wrote the book.

00:08:03.640 And I use the initial title, The Perilous Fight, because we were in a big war to establish this country and to keep it free from the British.

00:08:15.780 The crucible of wars, how we came into existence.

00:08:19.000 And now we have a situation where we have so many things that are impinging upon the principles of our founding that we almost don't know where to start.

00:08:31.920 You know, it's the Cloward Piven, two professors at Columbia several decades ago, who said, you know, just hit the people with so many things.

00:08:42.760 They won't actually be able to focus on anything.

00:08:45.140 That seems to be what's going on in our society right now.

00:08:49.040 There are those who want to fundamentally change this society into something else.

00:08:53.620 They don't like what we stand for as a nation.

00:08:56.640 And we also are the major obstacle to one world government.

00:09:00.800 So how do you bring down a country like that?

00:09:04.480 We're much too strongly brought down militarily.

00:09:07.060 So you bring it down from within.

00:09:09.420 And if you want to bring it down from within, you have to start at the foundation.

00:09:15.140 Our foundation is our families.

00:09:22.320 And if our children don't learn who we are, they don't know our history, then they become very easily persuaded to go in other directions.

00:09:42.080 So if you break that chain somewhere, then you're like a leaf blowing in the wind.

00:09:51.920 They get rid of the history, the monuments, the libraries, the museums, and impose their own sense of what history is.

00:10:02.180 And we have to be much smarter than that and recognize that if we don't pass our values on, we get what we see on these college campuses.

00:10:23.960 So that's why I wrote the book, so they could understand that the Marxists are coming.

00:10:33.140 All you have to do is look at the congressional record from January the 10th, 1963, where Congressman Herlong of Florida read into the record the 45 goals of communism in America.

00:10:45.600 And you'll see all of these things happening, gaining control of the public school system and the teacher unions so you can indoctrinate the kids, gaining control of the news media and Hollywood so that you can control the thinking of the people, driving wedges between parents and children, removing religion first from schools and then from every aspect.

00:11:08.700 The list goes on and on, making sexual perversion normal, natural and healthy.

00:11:16.120 I mean, it is just a textbook of all the things that they're doing right now.

00:11:20.860 And I think that's the reason that Khrushchev said to Eisenhower, your grandchildren's children will live under our system.

00:11:33.200 They lost, of course, in the 1990s when they lost the Soviet Union itself.

00:11:41.140 But now, insidiously, Marxism is insinuating itself into American culture, into American society, into our educational system, into our corporate structure in this country.

00:11:57.400 And, of course, the Democrat Party and the federal bureaucracy are riven with Marxists.

00:12:06.940 We can call them cultural Marxists, but they mean to be all-encompassing Marxists, and they have a head start on it.

00:12:21.620 I think all of us would understand if we're talking about the war on the American family in terms of a number of subjects, including the war for their hearts and minds in the classrooms.

00:12:35.540 We are watching two large teachers' unions that are outright Marxist in their philosophy, the ideology that they are, frankly, supporting and also trying to – every classroom seems to be filled with a Marxist missionary.

00:12:58.260 Well, go back to the basics here.

00:13:03.160 The brain, the human brain, the developing brain, it's a marvelous thing.

00:13:08.960 It starts at conception.

00:13:25.860 So we're in the process, particularly in our schools, of asking 9, 10, 11, 12-year-olds with incomplete brains to make major decisions about the rest of their lives, confusing them about their gender. 0.52

00:16:13.040 And with that, doctor, I want to turn to the American family because as you were talking about the assault that is generating for so many in the public school system that used to be the great equalizer for this society.

00:16:29.920 You didn't require all of these various programs and experiments.

00:16:37.020 Our public school system, if properly led and cherished by every American, I think could have been the salvation for the entire country and may still be.

00:16:47.320 But as you talk about education, the idea that we would subject our children to teachers who have an agenda, an agenda that is not about supporting the family, but rather, frankly, dismembering the family in too many instances, whatever the issue.

00:17:07.180 Your thoughts on that?

00:17:08.240 Well, you know, parents have to recognize what an enhanced role they have today because a lot of people like to say that nothing has changed.

00:17:18.540 It's all about the same, just different iterations of the same thing.

00:17:24.060 Our kids are bombarded with just incredible things.

00:17:28.320 I saw some of the books in the libraries of some of the elementary schools, and I frankly was embarrassed, the pictures that were in there of people in different sexual positions and talking about, you know, how men do things with men.

00:17:47.900 And this is in schools where elementary school children can be exposed to it.

00:17:58.160 I'm not sure anybody's ready for it, but they certainly are not ready for it.

00:18:15.100 One of my sons had to take his daughter out of the school, the same school, private school that he'd gone to because they'd become woke.

00:18:42.900 You know, you're substituting all of these gender pronouns and things like that instead of teaching them the basics of what they need to know.

00:18:53.200 You've probably seen some of these man-on-the-street interviews where they ask people simple questions.

00:19:04.860 And if you're that ignorant, when somebody comes along and says to you, the southern border is completely secure, well, don't mind all those millions of people coming across, some of whom may be terrorists.

00:19:20.360 You've got to be pretty simplistic to accept that.

00:19:24.320 But that's what they're doing.

00:19:27.940 And, you know, to that point, we're watching the teachers unions get behind various woke agendas, including the idea that suddenly, whether it's critical race theory, whether it's let's start American history for most students at the let's try 1877 and skip over a number of important issues.

00:19:47.200 I mean, it's breathtaking to see a level of ignorance that is the motivation for those who should be educators, illuminators.

00:20:00.920 And instead, they're leading our children to a path of darkness that is, for many, if not most, something from which they don't recover if they are not well and early.

00:20:15.660 And it can only succeed if people are docile and relatively ignorant.

00:20:22.720 And contrast that to what happened when Alexis de Tocqueville came to look at our country in 1831 because the Europeans were so fascinated with how a fledgling nation could already be competing with them at virtually every level.

00:20:37.540 And when he looked at our educational system, he was blown away.

00:20:41.280 He could find a mountain man in the middle of the forest.

00:20:43.680 The guy could read.

00:20:44.700 The guy could tell you about the Declaration of Independence.

00:20:49.000 And if you really want to be impressed, take a look at a sixth grade exit exam from 150 to 200 years ago, what you had to know to get a sixth grade certificate.

00:21:06.760 What is embarrassing right now is the fact that in most of the major cities in this country, the educational systems are imploding.

00:21:15.480 We're looking at proficiency by grade level of somewhere between 16 to 14 percent, whether it be reading proficiency or mathematical acuity and knowledge.

00:21:28.520 It is it is it should scare everyone to death in this country that we are in that situation.

00:21:36.720 It's so sorry to the it's so unfair to the children.

00:21:40.800 You might be familiar with the Baltimore project that was released about a year ago and they looked at all of those schools, thousands of students, elementary, high school, middle school.

00:21:53.620 Nobody was proficient in math, nobody.

00:21:57.940 And what does that do to their future prospects of success in society?

00:22:02.380 Yeah. And people look at you strangely in the workplace.

00:22:08.000 By the way, I can tell you many times people have on my staff or working in the in the newsroom because I could do mathematics in my head.

00:22:18.620 And I'm talking about the most elemental mathematics.

00:22:23.020 It stunned them because they really had never they just didn't grow up with that in there.

00:22:29.400 And I'm talking about very bright people, but they just simply it was alien to them.

00:22:36.520 And unfortunately, we're seeing more indoctrination now, it seems, than education in our public school system, which I've always thought is the bulwark of this nation,

00:22:48.840 because that that public education is so critical to every one of us, no matter our career or our choices for what we're going to make a living at.

00:24:22.640 At the most basic level, how do we fight back?

00:24:26.100 Well, first of all, we have to recognize that we're in a fight and that this is just not life as usual.

00:24:34.600 And then we have to recognize what are the things that are interrupting our family formation and family continuation.

00:24:46.120 Things like no-fault divorce, which is really killing us.

00:24:52.900 Things like usurping the position of parents and making the government and government facilities much more involved in the development of our children.

00:25:06.900 Things like just talking to each other.

00:25:10.060 The average young person spends more than four hours a day with their devices.

00:25:19.100 We need to steadily work with our children.

00:25:24.460 You know, when my kids were growing up, we wanted to eat dinner together.

00:25:28.780 We had each child give us a fact that nobody else would likely know, which means they had to do some research.

00:25:37.860 But it was a great deal of fun.

00:25:42.500 I had to travel a lot, but I made it a requirement that my family go with me.

00:25:47.160 My kids had all frequent flyer carts to every airline that traveled all over the world because it was a priority.

00:25:53.780 Otherwise, they wouldn't have known who I was because I was so busy as a surgeon.

00:25:56.980 But you have to make it a priority to spend time with your family.

00:26:06.220 And then mothers and fathers have to support each other.

00:26:11.740 There's a lot of stuff that's been happening, particularly since the women's movement, and the denigration of the role of men in the family.

00:26:21.600 All you have to do is look at some of these sitcoms that have been on for the last 50 years.

00:26:25.700 Father's always some adult who is bringing all kinds of problems, and the mother has to solve them. 0.85

00:26:46.300 It's designed to gradually undermine what was such a strong element of our country, and it's working, and we have to fight it.

00:26:57.720 And to that point, I mean, I have to say, when I tune into something on TV that is about the family, I always object to it because, nearly always, always object to it because you're right.

00:27:16.460 But it seems to me that they make everyone look like an idiot.

00:27:20.020 The mother, the father, the kids are self-interested and extraordinarily puerile.

00:27:31.960 Beyond, they should be somewhat more mature.

00:27:35.840 And they take the alternative family forms, and they try to make those the preferable forms, particularly in terms of identity and sexuality.

00:27:46.280 Yeah, it's really strange how quickly that's happened, too, to see the number of sitcom series that are about LGBTQ, the way in which it's – and it's very insidious, really. 1.00

00:28:06.000 It gives you the sense that everything is LGBTQ and nothing is, quote-unquote, normal. 1.00

00:28:12.340 It is, as you say, it's an assault on the senses, it's an assault on the mind, and it's truly a fiction with a purpose, as you say.

00:28:29.980 Well, you know, the other interesting thing is you've heard from the time that you were a child, there are two things that you should never discuss in public, right?

00:28:40.500 Those are the very two things we should be talking about, because they want to do their work in darkness.
