00:00:00.000 Hello everybody, I'm John Fawcett with this Great America Show midday update for Thursday,

00:00:04.320 February 27th. Folks, the countdown is on. The long-awaited Epstein lists, we're all waiting

00:00:11.440 for it. Pam Bondi, Attorney General, last night on Fox News saying the documents will be released

00:00:17.460 today. Now it's unclear if it's going to be all of them or some of them. The reports are that it's

00:00:22.000 going to be some of them with a lot of name redactions. We hope the name redactions are

00:00:27.800 coming on the part of the victims and not on the part of the perpetrators and the people who did

00:00:34.220 these heinous acts and hung out with this disgraced financier, Jeffrey Epstein. So we're on the wait,

00:00:41.580 we're all waiting, and we're all anticipating, highly anticipating the release of these documents.

00:00:47.900 President Trump formally giving all federal agencies the two-weeks notice. Well, he's given

00:00:53.600 them a two-weeks notice to prepare for large-scale bureaucracy cuts that are expected to come on

00:00:58.860 March 13th. According to a new release memo from the Office of Management and Budget, also known as

00:01:04.020 the OMB, and the OPM, the Office of Personal Management, agencies must submit their initial

00:01:09.160 plans for large-scale reductions in force by March 13th. The directive is part of Trump's Department of

00:01:15.460 Government Efficiency, also known as DOGE, a workforce optimization initiative in executive order

00:01:20.580 he signed on February 11th, which aims, of course, to eliminate waste, bloat, and any sort of unnecessary

00:01:28.860 spending in the Washington bureaucracy. And it's not just the federal agencies who are learning the

00:01:34.840 hard way. FAFO, F around and find out. Canada and Mexico also learning the hard way. President Trump

00:01:41.840 letting both nations know that on March 4th, the tariffs are coming. It's those 25% tariffs that were

00:01:48.920 supposed to go into effect on February 1st until President Trump delayed them, giving Canada and

00:01:54.000 Mexico both some time to figure out their border issues, to close down drug traffic from both the

00:02:00.860 North and the South. President Trump saying they haven't kept forth on their promise, sending out

00:02:07.780 the following message on Truth Social just moments ago. Quote, drugs are still pouring into our country

00:02:12.760 from Mexico and Canada at very high and unacceptable levels. A large percentage of these drugs, much of 1.00

00:02:17.920 them in the form of fentanyl, are made in and supplied by China. More than 100,000 people died last year

00:02:23.580 due to the distribution of these dangerous and highly addictive poisons. Millions of people have died

00:02:28.280 over the last two decades. The families of the victims are devastated and in many instances, virtually

00:02:33.920 destroyed. Trump continues, we cannot continue to allow this to harm the USA and therefore until it stops or is

00:02:40.420 seriously limited, the proposed tariff scheduled to go into effect on March 4th will indeed go into effect as

00:02:46.220 scheduled. China likewise will be charged an additional 10% tariff on that date. The April 2nd

00:02:52.140 reciprocal trade tariff date will remain in full effect and full force. Thank you for your attention

00:02:57.340 to this matter. God bless America. So 25% tariffs going on all Mexican imports, 25% tariff on nearly all 0.89

00:03:05.780 Canadian imports and 10% on Canadian energy resources. And then as I said, that 10% tariff on all of China's

00:03:14.260 imports, as President Trump said, the fentanyl is coming from China and just simply being pushed

00:03:19.680 through from Mexico. Folks, Donald J. Trump is the only president in my lifetime, probably a lot of

00:03:25.060 your lifetimes, to ever take on the cartels, to ever take on this massive border issue of drugs and

00:03:32.500 illegal migrants. I don't think we've ever seen anything like it. A man who cares about this country 1.00

00:03:37.420 wholeheartedly. And folks, a Ukrainian government jet is on its way to America from Ireland after a

00:03:44.260 quick stop with the Prime Minister of Ireland. Who's on it, you may ask? President Zelensky.

00:03:50.680 He's coming a day early. Supposed to meet with President Trump on Friday. Coming a day early.

00:03:55.800 Who knows who he's going to see? President Zelensky and President Trump are set to sign

00:04:01.000 the declaration or the accords, which will give America some mining rights and other things

00:04:08.240 for Ukraine to pay back the $350 billion they owe us. They thought it was free. Turns out it's not so

00:04:16.420 free after all. Maybe it was free under Joe Biden, but it's not free under President Trump. President

00:04:21.420 Trump saying this morning, earlier this morning, that NATO is, of course, off the table, blaming NATO

00:04:27.420 for the reason the war started between Russia and Ukraine. But President Trump reinforcing that it's

00:04:33.380 off the table and there's no chance Ukraine gets in NATO. As I've said before multiple times on the

00:04:38.240 show, it's unclear if America is going to be in NATO much longer anyway. So without America and NATO,

00:04:45.400 it really serves no purpose, has no meaning to it. So the war might have been for nothing in Ukraine.

00:04:51.400 And USAID workers are given 15 minutes to clear out their workspaces as the agency is getting

00:04:57.980 dismantled. Thousands of USAIDs for International Development Workers who have been fired or placed

00:05:02.760 on leave as part of Trump administration's dismantling of the agency have been given a brief

00:05:07.580 window today and tomorrow to clear out their workplace belongings. USAID placed just over 4,000

00:05:13.060 staffers who work across the globe on leave on Monday. That was joined by a reduction in force,

00:05:18.820 is what they're calling it, that will affect another 1,600 employees. A State Department spokesman

00:05:23.820 commenting on the issue has told us. USAID is out the window, folks, as we continue to find out where

00:05:30.080 this wasteful money was spent, what it was spent on, all the egregious things for other countries. But

00:05:36.780 America, over $30 trillion in debt, why worry about us, right? It's only money, after all. Folks,

00:05:43.680 please be sure to join us today and each and every day for The Great America Show, twice a day,

00:05:47.680 The Great America Show midday updates. Our special guest today is our weekly guest,

00:05:52.780 fan favorite, one of my favorites, the great Roger Stone. We'll take up the Epstein files.

00:05:58.880 We'll also be taking up the news of the day, the Trump administration, the cabinet appointments,

00:06:04.020 and the work and job that all of them are doing. Folks, please be sure to join us for that today,

00:06:09.400 only on The Great America Show. I'm John Fossett with this midday update.

00:06:12.940 Happy Thursday, folks. I hope you're all having a great day.
