00:00:23.160As President Trump, currently this hour and throughout the day, weighing his next move with Iran, what he does next, a leak out of CBS News earlier today shows that the Pentagon is planning.
00:00:37.980Now, this is a leak from CBS News, so we have to take it with a grain of salt.
00:00:41.720But they say that the Pentagon is preparing for possible troops on the ground in Iran.
00:00:48.660This is part of Operation Epic Fury, of course, which is this joint military mission between the United States and Israel that began just under a month ago on February 28th.
00:00:58.640So far, the military operation has involved the U.S. Air Force and the Navy.
00:01:03.340In this leak, it would involve, I think, putting Marines on the ground.
00:01:09.340Now, the U.S. military so far has just decimated Iran's missile infrastructure, their naval forces, their air force, their nuclear capabilities.
00:01:16.420to the best of our knowledge, according to the Pentagon.
00:01:20.400So the next move, I guess we're waiting for at any day now, what can happen.
00:01:27.740Senior military commanders have submitted specific requests aimed at preparing for such options for President Trump as he weighs what happens next.
00:01:37.420Trump has been deliberating whether to position ground forces in the region, according to sources who are speaking on the condition of anonymity.
00:01:44.400But as you know, with anything inside the Trump administration, the condition of anonymity and the sources, the no sources, has been a problem from the beginning.
00:01:52.740So, of course, all unverified. We don't know if it's true or not.
00:01:58.440This is just what's being reported, according to the leak that came out of CNN.
00:02:04.000Now, yesterday, when President Trump was asked about it, he said he's not putting troops anywhere.
00:02:08.820And if he were going to, he would not tell the media.
00:02:11.520but then reiterated that he wasn't putting troops on the ground.
00:02:16.920Now, last Friday, he disputed another leak from CBS News
00:02:20.720and said the U.S. is getting very close to winding down
00:02:23.700their military efforts in the Middle East.
00:02:25.460Now, this was last Friday, a week ago, so it's unclear as of right now
00:02:31.440if he intends to get further entrenched in it
00:02:34.460or if he intends to try to pull our guys out,
00:02:38.980which I think is probably the right move at this point.
00:02:41.520You know, what more, you know, as we look at it, I guess, from layman's on the outside, what more can you possibly get out of this operation?
00:02:51.200You've killed like their number one, two, three and four in line to be successors to the Ayatollah Khamenei.
00:02:59.000You've destroyed their military. You've destroyed their planes.
00:03:02.600You've destroyed their their naval fleet that they use to bully people.
00:03:08.100um you know you've you've almost completely decimated the place i guess what maybe the
00:03:15.180exception of completely making sure that their nuclear facilities are leveled but
00:03:19.720then again why can't you do that with the bunker busters that they've continued to
00:03:24.580to unleash there these things that go you know hundreds of feet into the ground
00:03:29.560and obliterates everything their nuclear capabilities their nuclear uh their weapons per se
00:03:36.880the uranium is not sitting on top of the ground somewhere you know it's buried way deep underground
00:03:46.580so i you know i'm not entirely sure what putting troops on the ground actually does for you
00:03:54.000aside from the obvious fact of putting our men and women our brothers our sisters into harm's way
00:04:05.080Now, Republican lawmakers tonight are not happy about it.
00:04:09.080And we're going to, I think, probably get this over the course of the next month or so or two months or so while President Trump deliberates what the next move is.
00:04:21.160Now, Pete Hegseth asked for an extra $200 billion, which Republican lawmakers are already speaking out.
00:04:34.320And Hegseth said he's, you know, open to maybe taming that number down a little bit.
00:04:42.420Hegseth says, quote, unquote, as far as the $200 billion, I think that number could move at a press conference.
00:04:47.940Obviously, it takes money to kill the bad guys.
00:04:50.120So we're going back to Congress and our folks to ensure that we're properly funded for what's been done, what we may have to do in the future and to ensure our ammunition is refilled and not just refilled, but above and beyond.
00:05:03.800Now, there's been reports out that we've completely depleted our ammunition and rockets and things needed for war beyond what it should be using this war.
00:05:16.720So the reports have shown that America is in a little bit of a vulnerable position right now, should we get into a conflict somewhere else.
00:05:24.760Now, the news of the Pentagon request was first reported by The Washington Post.
00:05:29.360And of course, it's another person who's speaking on the condition of anonymity, as we usually see.
00:05:35.840The staggering figure will likely startle several Republicans in Congress, where the GOP right now holds a very thin margin.
00:05:42.860along with virtually every Democrat, as there's been little to no bipartisanship since President Trump assumed office back in January.
00:05:50.260Such a large amount of money as the $200 billion could open the White House to deep scrutiny,
00:05:55.520given the fact that President Trump has told the public that the U.S. involvement in Iran is going to be short and it's coming to an end.
00:06:02.100Now, despite these hurdles, House Speaker Mike Johnson seems open to extra defense spending, saying Congress has to, quote, adequately fund defense.
00:06:10.560thune has said uh senate majority leader thune singing a little bit of a different tune he says
00:06:16.820it remains to be seen if the senate could pass 200 billion in funding for the iran war
00:06:20.520um said the trump and men will have to show congress how they want to use this money
00:06:25.780now senators and and congressmen have already started speaking out senator roger marshall
00:06:32.000from kansas said the 200 billion dollar request is a little bit tall considering we're coming up
00:06:37.520$40 trillion in debt in this nation. He added they need to come to Capitol Hill and tell us what the
00:06:42.320money is going to be spent on. I think if we give the Pentagon a trillion dollars a year, you think
00:06:46.460that would be enough, but we're going to have to do something. Now, that's a little bit of a
00:06:50.580difference from what someone like Congresswoman Lauren Boebert had to say. She has declared she
00:06:57.660will not support any new war supplement spending, signaling a growing rebellion inside the GOP.
00:07:03.220She flatly rejected the idea of approving any sort of additional funding tied to escalating tensions involving Iran, making it clear her position is non-negotiable.
00:07:14.740So how do you wiggle your way out of that one?
00:07:19.220How do you get to where you need to get?
00:07:21.620We're going to bring you what Boebert had to say.
00:07:23.360We're going to take a quick break here on The Great America Show Live tonight.

00:07:37.680The Great America Show continues in just moments. Don't turn that dial.
00:07:47.560Thanks, everybody, for staying with us here on The Great America Show and happy Friday, folks.
00:07:51.680We appreciate you spending part of your evening with us.
00:07:54.240Some sad news to report tonight if you haven't already seen.
00:07:57.840Mixed martial arts icon, legendary actor Chuck Norris passed away earlier this afternoon aside from his family.
00:09:57.400It's just a horrible, horrible, horrible thing.
00:10:00.520So going back to the war in Iran right now, we were talking about Lauren Boebert, who's
00:10:07.820one of the first now to come out in opposition to giving any kind of new money or anything like
00:10:13.740that, especially $200 billion towards national defense. I guess when you look at nearly $40
00:10:19.120trillion in debt, we've got some of the worst roads in America you could possibly drive on.
00:10:25.540I do a lot of driving, at least here in New York, some of the worst roads you can possibly do.
00:10:30.180Our infrastructure is just terrible. In some states, it's almost third world.
00:10:35.920Our air traffic control system, as we've seen over the last two years, is obsolete.
00:10:41.480It's so antique and just like 1950s, 60s.
00:10:48.780If you folks saw what the inside of an air traffic control tower looked like and how they tracked planes, you'd probably never want to get on another plane again.
00:10:58.160It's literally like you've seen in old World War II movies of just a blip on a screen tracking across.
00:11:05.920so you look at what we have here in america and you you know you ask yourself you know
00:11:11.820when are we going to start spending in america 40 trillion dollars in debt
00:11:17.180and what do we have to show for it and donald trump said this in 2016 you land a laguardia
00:11:24.440airport here in new york and it's a third world airport it's literally a third world airport
00:11:29.380you're lucky to not hit a damn pothole on the runway
00:11:33.660so at what point do we start infrastructure in america to make it a habit a more habitable
00:11:41.580country for us here so going back to lauren bobert this is what she had to say about the
00:11:47.600possibility of spending any new money i will not vote for a war supplemental no i am a no
00:11:52.680i've already told leadership i am a no on any war supplementals i am so tired of spending money
00:11:58.600elsewhere. I am tired of the industrial war complex getting all of our hard-earned tax
00:12:04.500dollars. I have folks in Colorado who can't afford to live. We need America first policies right now
00:12:10.040and that I'm not doing that. We need the Save America Act, FISA with warrants. There's a lot
00:12:18.500of hard lines that I have right now and we've got to get our act together if we want to keep this
00:12:22.960majority and the path that we're going doesn't look very promising. Should the administration
00:12:28.140can get out of iran that's up to the president so that's from congresswoman lauren bobert
00:12:35.180and i think that's probably what you're going to get is the growing sentiment
00:12:39.120uh from some of these members of congress you know it is a thin majority that they have to defend
00:12:46.100and you know i think some of these people go home and they have a hard time
00:12:52.200telling their constituents listen this is what we're spending money on
00:12:58.140and like she said people can't afford groceries people can't afford to fill up their cars
00:13:07.600drugs are flowing through our streets like never seen before so what point does
00:13:16.540did the american people start to matter
00:13:18.680now i've said it from the beginning i'm all for america taking out this islamic radical regime
00:13:28.020in Iran, who's killed hundreds of thousands of old people and unleashed terrorism on America
00:13:34.680for 40 years, 50 years. I'm all for it. I think it's excellent. And it had to be done eventually.
00:13:42.280And President Trump, I think there's no better leader to do it than him.
00:13:46.420And you just look at who our past leaders have been who could have done it,
00:13:50.240whether it be Clinton or Jimmy Carter or George W. Bush or H.W. Bush or
00:13:58.020You pick any one of those guys, and I'd be a little uneasy trusting them to get us in and out of there.
00:14:10.500So, you know, President Trump on one hand is saying, you know, we've done what we've done.
00:14:23.020You know, we've ruined everything they have.
00:14:24.880But then on the other hand, this is just moments ago before departing from D.C., President Trump was asked, and he says, as far as troops are concerned, I can't tell you what we're doing.
00:14:44.480And if this was a potential move to send more Marines to the Middle East, I made that leak from CBS.
00:14:51.700So polls have shown that MAGA is essentially unified behind President Trump, as Republicans are when it comes to Iran.
00:15:04.400But, you know, that's before deciding to continue to possibly prolong the war.
00:15:11.380That's before possibly deploying 2,500 more Marines to the Middle East.
00:15:21.700So I think that's got away. And I'm speaking on this very independently right now without giving an opinion on it. I think historically, it's going to weigh on his poll numbers.
00:15:38.340That, you know, he said one thing. He said the thing was done. It was over. We won. We leveled them and we're getting out soon.
00:15:47.900but then on the other hand you go further in so which one is it and i i think that
00:15:57.000it comes down to messaging that president trump has to give a good message that listen
00:16:02.160this is what we've done and this is what we haven't been able to do and this is why we have
00:16:06.340to do x y and z i don't think it's going to to bode well with the american people
00:16:13.200if you say well we won the war the war is over we're good we smoked them we smoked their boots
00:16:21.400but then the next day you send in 2,500 or 3,000 marines
00:16:29.540and with the midterm elections coming up i think it and like i said this is not me speaking opinion
00:16:36.800This is me speaking just bluntly honest.
00:16:42.660With the midterm elections around the corner, I think it's a gamble.
00:18:30.520I'd almost guarantee it. So I think that's a it's a real possibility and a real issue that President Trump needs to look at and make a decision.
00:18:43.960You know, is it worth it for the country? Is it worth it for our men and women in uniform?
00:18:50.020And is it worth it for the midterm elections? Because if they lose that that midterm, we all know what's going to happen because we've lived it before.
00:18:57.800We're taking one more quick break here on the Great America Show, folks.
00:20:18.020And I don't think he's been happy with NATO from the beginning.
00:20:19.760Now, earlier this week, President Trump expressed displeasure with other countries for turning down his request to send their militaries to the Strait of Hormuz to protect oil tankers as Israel and the U.S. continued to wage war against Iran.
00:20:32.740So some of those countries he's went after, China, France, Japan, South Korea, and the U.K., along with a few others.
00:20:41.240And that was as President Trump was meeting with the PM of Japan yesterday.
00:20:47.060So it's going to get real interesting, I think, folks, before it gets less interesting, I guess, for lack of a better way to put it.
00:20:57.640It's going to get interesting because, you know, as I've said, he's got to figure out what he wants to do here.
00:22:50.280And under Joe Biden, we watch the National Guard, in some instances, assist people coming into the country, helping cut wire.
00:22:59.740So why have we never sent troops down to the southern border if we want troops on the ground?
00:23:07.420To fight a war, that's extremely winnable.
00:23:09.420I think a ground war with the cartels, and it doesn't even have to be a ground war, because President Trump, I'm confident, knows every single drug manufacturing facility in Mexico.
00:23:22.080And it's not hard to tell, because everything is infrared.
00:23:25.920They can see where the heat is in the middle of a frigging desert, and it shows all on an infrared map.
00:23:33.740So they know exactly where it is, and they've flipped people informants and things like that.
00:23:39.420And that's a war that may save 50,000 to 100,000 Americans each and every year.
00:24:50.440So that's a real issue that needs to be brought back here home for the American people, a war that needs to be fought.
00:24:59.800A federal judge this afternoon ruled that the Pentagon's new press policy restricting press credentials from reporters is unconstitutional.
00:25:06.620In October, the Pentagon reporters turned in their badges after they refused to sign Secretary of War Pete Hegseth's new security policy.
00:25:15.660And the federal judge, who, of course, was appointed by Clinton not happy at it,
00:25:21.520defense Secretary Pete Hegseth's demand that reporters agree by Friday at 5 p.m.
00:25:25.860under a new policy under which they would need to pledge to not obtain or use unauthorized materials,
00:25:30.900even if the information is unclassified or hand over their press badge in the next 24 hours.
00:25:35.720By that afternoon, Pentagon reporters turned in their badges, which is, I mean, think about it.
00:26:19.820Former FBI Director James Comey has been subpoenaed by the Justice Department
00:26:24.320with regard to the Russiagate investigation.
00:26:27.660In July, it was reported that former FBI Director James Comey and John Brennan were under FBI investigation over their involvement in Russiagate.
00:26:35.040CIA Director John Ratcliffe referred Brennan and Comey for prosecution last summer.
00:26:39.820U.S. Attorney in the Southern District of Florida, Jason Redding-Konoes, is in charge of this investigation.
00:26:45.280Now, according to Axios and Fox News, Comey was issued a grand jury subpoena just last week.
00:26:50.860They say he issued this subpoena for a wide-ranging grand conspiracy case against FBI officials and former other officials who investigated and prosecuted President Trump, two sources allege.
00:27:05.260The investigation has produced more than 130 subpoenas since cranking up last year.
00:27:09.880Sources say the target's top officials who worked under former President Barack Hussein Obama and Joseph Biden, the officials include Comey, among others.
00:27:20.860have all decried the investigation as political persecution and lawfare.
00:27:24.780Now, the Trump administration's grand conspiracy theory shows that the Democrat officials bent the rules,
00:27:30.840broke the law and lied under oath to investigate and persecute and otherwise undermine President Trump
00:27:35.940from his election in 2016 through federal indictments in 2023.
00:27:39.660And I'd even argue that it still goes on until this moment today inside some of the three-letter agencies.
00:27:46.980And we were watching right before our eyes each and every day.
00:27:50.860So we hope that James Comey gets thrown the book and deals with the full justice of the law.
