We are going to bring a constitutional amendment. It is a bill to amend the U.S. Constitution to ensure that the U.S. Supreme Court remains composed of only nine justices. We will keep the nine.

00:02:53.840 The meeting comes as the Republicans ramp up spending in competitive races, roughly nine weeks remaining until the midterm elections.

00:03:05.660 Also happening in the House of Representatives this afternoon, they've passed a short-term spending bill this afternoon to fund the government until December 11th.
00:03:14.180 The vote was 370 to 48, follows the legislative approval in the Senate, and sends it to President Donald Trump's desk for signature.
00:03:21.160 Trump's signature will effectively end the threat of a government shutdown until after the midterm elections.

00:03:29.560 Hakeem Jeffries, who wants to be the next Speaker of the House, was asked this afternoon what the Democrats' legislative agenda will be, should the Marxist Dems take over.

00:03:45.280 If Democrats do win the election and you are Speaker of the House next year, what more can you tell us about the agenda the Democrats will have, specifically beyond accountability, beyond affordability, any specific legislation or any particular investigations that you will prioritize?
00:03:57.400 Well, we're focused on winning the election and making the case to the American people in 63 days, I believe, that in order to move this country in a different direction, in order to actually focus on the issues that matter, in order to begin to end this national nightmare, we've got to fire the Republicans who are currently in charge of the House and in the Senate.
