00:00:03.660 Head over to TWC Health slash Dobbs to get your med kit.
00:00:08.060 A med kit with all the essential pharmaceuticals, you know, the ones the mainstream media and Marxist left don't want you to have.
00:00:14.500 Like ivermectin, Z-Pax, amoxicillin, and much more.
00:00:18.680 Be prepared for when the next plague hits by heading over to TWC.health slash Dobbs and enter promo code Dobbs at checkout to save 15% off your entire order.
00:00:33.840 Hello, everybody, and welcome to The Great America Show.
00:00:36.860 It is great to have you with us.
00:00:38.260 The Senate this week doing all that it could to protect the second most corrupt man in government.
00:00:44.620 And that is, of course, DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.
00:00:50.080 The Senate, for the first time in American history, voted to table the articles of impeachment against Mayorkas.
00:00:58.760 Marxist stem leader Chuck Schumer started off the day with a motion to declare the first article of impeachment against Mayorkas that he will willfully refuse to comply with U.S. immigration laws unconstitutional.
00:01:12.740 The vote of 51 to 48, a close vote, with RINO Senator Lisa Murkowski voting present.
00:01:20.080 And isn't that precious of her?
00:01:22.560 And so it looks like Mayorkas will be absolutely free after the tabling of the articles of impeachment.
00:01:32.000 And over on the House side, Mike Johnson, who seems as arrogant as ever and incompetent as ever, is considering himself a wartime speaker.
00:01:40.880 He says his time as speaker is arguably similar to the Civil War.
00:01:46.700 As he would say, listen to this speaker show you just how delusional he is.
00:01:54.920 Look, we are in unprecedented times, OK?
00:01:59.320 We're in dangerous times.
00:02:00.620 This has been articulated here around the world and here at home.
00:02:03.800 We need steady leadership.
00:02:05.840 We need steady hands at the wheel.
00:02:07.140 Look, I regard myself as a wartime speaker.
00:02:10.680 I mean, in a literal sense, we are.
00:02:12.300 I knew that when I took the gavel.
00:02:14.280 I didn't anticipate that this would be an easy path.
00:02:17.240 Former Speaker Newt Gingrich posted a couple of days ago on his social media that this is the hardest challenge that's faced a speaker probably in the history of the country in the moment we're in right now.
00:02:25.960 He said arguably may be comparable to the Civil War, but may be worse.
00:02:30.640 I have to tell you, Mike Johnson is an utter disgrace.
00:02:35.440 He's now obviously delusional and doesn't really have a very strong grip on American history.
00:02:41.960 At this point, I don't see much of a difference between him and Hakeem Jeffries in the policies that they're pursuing, the way in which they are treating the Republican conference.
00:02:51.500 And that is that Mike Johnson is treating the Republican conference like both a plaything and an enemy.
00:03:01.300 There hasn't been a time, not one time since he took over as speaker, that Johnson wasn't steamrolled by the Marxist Dems and that he wasn't awed by the intelligence community, the surveillance state.
00:03:15.540 It's disgusting. And the good news is that there is now mounting a considerable amount of pressure to to simply get rid of it.
00:03:26.340 And rightfully so. In the in the case, you haven't already been sold on the fact that Joe Biden has lost his mind, is seriously impaired cognitively.
00:03:37.580 Take a listen to the puppet president talking to a small crowd, of course.
00:03:41.980 So he only gets small crowds in Scranton, Pennsylvania, what he likes to consider his hometown.
00:03:48.720 He tells them a story about opening his hotel door to a visitor in a towel with shaving cream on his face.
00:03:57.220 Awesome. It's just an awesome story.
00:03:59.120 One day I showed up at all for your convention and I was in I was in the motel after the local motel getting changed after the afternoon session.
00:04:09.000 Go back to the evening session. I'd come down with some young activists who are a little older than me, but still young activists who were involved in trying to reform the party.
00:04:20.580 And I was in one of those eight by 10 bathrooms, you know, they have shower, toilet and the sink.
00:04:27.220 And I got a towel on me and shaving cream and I hear bam, bam, bam at my door really loudly.
00:04:33.320 And when I went to hell, I thought of this guy, Bob Cunningham on a radio show and a couple of the guys.
00:04:40.640 I said, OK, OK, guys. And I walked to the door and opened up and standing there was the former governor of the state of Delaware, Albert Ann Carville.
00:04:49.160 Big guy, about 6'5", talked at you like he is.
00:04:51.760 Well, folks, we have no idea what he was talking about either, but we wanted to share that with you.
00:05:21.180 So you had a sense of what the country is up against when it comes to the mental acuity, the cognitive impairment of this this president of the United States.
00:05:33.020 Illegitimately so, but nonetheless, the man who we still have as commander in chief.
00:05:38.520 I have to tell you, I'm delighted to tell you that our next guest is Congressman Thomas Massey of Kentucky.
00:05:46.520 He is one of the sharpest minds in Congress and the Senate.
00:05:51.320 I want to include the Senate as well.
00:05:53.420 And, Congressman, it's great to have you with us.
00:05:55.740 We appreciate you being here.
00:05:57.240 This is, without any doubt, a firestorm on Capitol Hill, a political firestorm that has many, many, I suppose, contributors in it.
00:06:10.520 But it starts with, without question, the Speaker of the House.
00:06:16.220 And I'm going back to Paul Ryan, to Kevin McCarthy and to the day that we are in.
00:06:22.540 And that is, of course, Speaker Johnson.
00:06:25.300 What is the latest in terms of where you're headed with the leadership of this party and this conference?
00:06:35.100 Well, let me tell you how we got here.
00:06:37.120 We had cut a deal with Kevin McCarthy on January of last year for him to be Speaker.
00:06:44.820 He put several of us on Rules Committee and other committees.
00:06:48.320 I felt like we were making progress.
00:06:50.800 Some folks decided to take out Kevin McCarthy.
00:06:53.600 I disagreed with that.
00:06:54.800 I told him that things could get worse.
00:06:57.020 In fact, things, I believe, got much worse.
00:06:59.980 I knew Mike Johnson from Judiciary Committee.
00:07:02.860 And also, he was the deputy whip assigned to whip me for the last several years.
00:07:07.700 So we had a good relationship.
00:07:09.460 I knew him.
00:07:10.500 But I don't know this person who is Speaker now.
00:07:14.300 He's done two things.
00:07:15.780 And he's about to do a third thing that most Republicans, even in Washington, D.C., don't agree with and certainly back home.
00:07:23.600 He passed an omnibus bill, betrayed the 72-hour rule, time to give us to read the bills.
00:07:30.660 He filled it full of earmarks.
00:07:32.600 And it spent more than Nancy Pelosi even dared to spend in her last year.
00:07:36.780 So that was his first infraction.
00:07:38.740 His second infraction was last week.
00:07:41.700 You know, Jim Jordan made great progress in our Judiciary Committee.
00:07:45.620 And, in fact, Mike Johnson helped us with this when he was on Judiciary in terms of getting a warrant if the government wants to spy on Americans.
00:07:52.720 In other words, reforming the FISA program.
00:07:56.740 Well, we brought that to the floor.
00:07:58.560 We fought really hard in the rules committee that I also serve on to get that bill to the floor under a rule so that you could vote on whether to have an amendment or not.
00:08:07.240 Or, sorry, amendment that would require a warrant.
00:08:10.460 And what happened there, Lou, is the Speaker put his finger on the scales not to help us get a warrant but to kill the warrant amendment.
00:08:18.660 And so FISA was reauthorized, that's the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, to allow the government to spy on Americans without a warrant.
00:08:28.220 Now we're at the third point here.
00:08:30.020 And that's what he's having a hard time getting done this week.
00:08:33.280 John Boehner called this cleaning the barn.
00:08:35.420 When John Boehner left office, and I was here for that, he passed an omnibus.
00:08:39.680 He passed XM Bank.
00:08:40.900 But he told us he was going to leave after he did all these bad things.
00:08:43.920 Well, the third thing that Mike Johnson is trying to get done this week is to send about $100 billion of foreign aid, primarily to three countries, but also to many other countries and programs outside of this country.
00:08:56.620 It would go to Israel, Ukraine, and Taiwan.
00:08:59.960 And our problem with that is he wants to do it without doing anything for our own border.
00:09:05.700 And even the Speaker himself said that was a hill to die on a few weeks ago.
00:09:11.240 And he's not even fighting on this hill.
00:09:13.160 So the question is, is he the guy to be our speaker?
00:09:17.420 I just can't imagine where you go from here.
00:09:22.300 You, Marjorie Taylor Greene, others not so publicly are expressing the very same views that you all are.
00:09:33.820 You have the courage to do it publicly.
00:09:36.840 And I commend you, by the way.
00:09:38.800 I want to commend you strongly for that.
00:09:41.020 I just don't understand where this goes, because the choices, it seems to me, are difficult at best.
00:09:49.160 Yeah.
00:09:49.400 So what's happening here is Mike Johnson is overdrafted on his political capital within the conference.
00:09:55.440 And he's going, I believe he's going to get vacated.
00:09:58.720 Okay.
00:09:59.160 And when that motion gets called, I don't plan on calling it myself, but it's going to get called.
00:10:04.700 And when it gets called, I hope people won't shoot the messenger, but he doesn't have the votes to remain speaker.
00:10:10.440 He'll lose far more votes than Kevin McCarthy lost.
00:10:13.720 And so what I did this week is I co-sponsored Marjorie Taylor Greene's motion to vacate.
00:10:20.340 Now, this is different than what was done last fall.
00:10:23.420 Last fall, they called the motion to vacate from the floor of the House, and it had to be voted on within two days.
00:10:29.420 And as soon as it passed, we didn't have a speaker.
00:10:32.880 What I am proposing and what I'm trying to encourage the speaker to do is that he resign, but announce his resignation eight weeks from now so that we would have time to replace him.
00:10:45.300 This is what John Boehner did.
00:10:46.640 When John Boehner left, he saw that wagons were circled and that there was no chance here, or rather that he was surrounded.
00:10:53.520 And so he said, I will leave as soon as you elect the next speaker.
00:10:59.420 And that way, we didn't go into this doom loop like we were in last fall.
00:11:04.980 In other words, Mike Johnson would still be the speaker until we get one elected.
00:11:09.320 We could still do subpoenas, investigations.
00:11:12.200 We could still pass bills.
00:11:13.780 If there was a war or some emergency we needed to respond to, we would still have a speaker in the chair.
00:11:18.860 This would save us all a lot of problems.
00:11:20.840 And so people misinterpret what I've done.
00:11:23.340 They think I'm trying to get rid of Mike Johnson now.
00:11:25.380 No, I'm just saying what everybody already knows up here in Washington, D.C.
00:11:30.000 He's goose is cooked.
00:11:31.320 I wish he would leave in a way that doesn't put our party in turmoil.
00:11:35.240 We're talking with Congressman Thomas Massey.
00:11:38.880 And we're getting the inside story to the moment here from Congressman Massey.
00:11:44.400 And we'll be right back after these quick words.
00:11:47.400 Please stay with us.
00:11:48.580 Folks, you know, I beg everyone to get ready for the next crisis.
00:11:53.340 And when it comes, our lives will likely change overnight, whether it's natural disaster, war or another disease.
00:12:00.960 We have to be ready as we can be.
00:12:03.100 We saw what happened in 2020 when we found ourselves dependent on global supply chains.
00:12:07.960 We're still dependent on China and other countries for more than 90 percent of all our pharmaceuticals.
00:12:13.400 With clusters of respiratory illnesses popping up around the world and here, we need to be prepared.
00:12:19.560 And now is the time to make certain you have what your family needs when the next crisis hits.
00:12:25.200 Our good friends, Dr. Peter McCullough and Dr. Drew Penske over at the Wellness Company have put together just what you and I need with the Wellness Company's medical emergency kit.
00:12:34.900 And now the Wellness Company's medical kit provides a solution critical to you and your loved ones.
00:12:40.360 This emergency kit includes eight life-saving medications including amoxicillin, Z-Pak and ivermectin for you to keep on hand along with a guidebook for safe use.

00:13:15.800 Take control of your health today with the Wellness Company's medical emergency kit.
00:13:20.380 Prepare today.
00:13:21.480 Be ready tomorrow.
00:13:25.000 We're back with Congressman Massey.
00:13:27.160 And Congressman, I want to say, again, you are absolutely as rational and thought out on this, I was about to say as thought out as anyone, you are far more thought out and rational on this than anyone I've heard speak from Capitol Hill.
00:13:46.200 You're feeling about the temper of the conference.
00:13:49.640 Will they go along with this?
00:13:52.120 Will obviously Speaker Johnson go along with it?
00:13:56.820 Well, I asked him, you know, man to man, I asked him to resign in our conference yesterday.
00:14:03.660 He said they would not resign.
00:14:05.500 Now, there are only two sponsors on the motion to vacate.
00:14:08.160 This is not it's not going to happen today or tomorrow, probably unless somebody calls it up.
00:14:13.420 But I don't intend to do that.
00:14:14.720 The best thing that could happen here in Washington, D.C. is if three or four or five more people co-sponsor this motion to vacate and then we can not call it to the floor yet.
00:14:25.540 Go to Speaker Johnson and say, look, here are the cards.
00:14:29.420 Show him the cards that he can no longer remain Speaker.
00:14:32.760 This is not personal between me and Speaker Johnson.
00:14:35.880 He is just on every major issue, failed to negotiate anything of substance for the Republican Party.
00:14:43.500 We understand.
00:14:44.380 I especially understand.
00:14:45.480 You're not going to get everything you want, especially in divided government.
00:14:49.440 But you've got to get something.
00:14:51.220 And we got nothing on the omnibus except more spending.
00:14:54.340 We got nothing on FISA except for no warrants.
00:14:57.680 And we get and we're about to get nothing on all this foreign aid.
00:15:00.580 We're not going to get a border security package.
00:15:02.880 And we just think we need a better negotiator, somebody who's more equipped for the job.
00:15:08.460 Is there anyone advising him?
00:15:11.440 Hopefully it's not Paul Ryan.
00:15:13.900 Is it Paul Ryan?
00:15:15.580 You know, I think he would do well to have more advisors.
00:15:18.820 I think this is the issue.
00:15:20.760 Kevin McCarthy.
00:15:21.800 I just see you deflect that.
00:15:23.780 No, no.
00:15:26.140 Listen, I'm going to get to the heart of it here because I think you've identified the problem.
00:15:32.260 But in a different way, Kevin had four or five congressmen he could go to who didn't agree with him most of the time.
00:15:39.700 But he would listen to them and vet his ideas.
00:15:42.700 For instance, I know he would talk to Jim Jordan or to me sometimes.
00:15:46.080 And we wouldn't tell him what he wanted to hear, but he would listen.
00:15:49.280 And then he had four or five inner circle staff who weren't afraid to tell Kevin McCarthy when it was a bad idea.
00:15:57.760 And they would get in a circle and they would vet these ideas.
00:16:00.520 I think that Speaker Johnson, because of his rapid ascent, I mean, he was thrown in the hot seat quickly,
00:16:06.660 does not have that council of advisors, either as peers in Congress or as staff.
00:16:13.960 And is he and Tim, how did we get here?
00:16:17.340 Is the man this intimidated by either the job or intimidated by external forces?
00:16:24.400 Is he caught in a position where his adversaries are leveraged against him?
00:16:31.160 Is there, I'll just say it out loud, a blackmail?
00:16:34.580 What happened to this man?
00:16:37.200 Yeah.
00:16:37.480 And I'm close enough to this to know that he's not blackmailed.
00:16:41.620 He's he's an honest man.
00:16:43.260 He's a good man.
00:16:44.300 I do believe he's a bit over his head.
00:16:47.040 But the thing that that he claims, just to take him at his word, that is motivating his change of opinion and ideology right now is that he's been to this gift where where the classified information is delivered.
00:16:59.860 And he says that what he's seen there has changed his mind on Ukraine and what he's seen there has changed his mind on the FISA 702 program.
00:17:10.640 And, you know, I don't think I think I can safely put to rest all the stories about blackmail or anything like that.
00:17:18.920 I just think he's been overwhelmed by the job and that people at the Pentagon, the military industrial complex, people, you know, who he respects,
00:17:27.080 have sort of bullied or scared him into a position where he believes he has no negotiating power with Chuck Schumer or Biden.
00:17:36.540 For instance, if you deeply and sincerely believe that Ukraine is going to fall, if you don't send him 60 billion dollars tomorrow,
00:17:44.140 then you probably aren't going to get anything on our own border if Ukraine is your highest priority because you've been talking to those people.
00:17:51.900 But the reality is, if the establishment here really believes that Ukraine is that important,
00:17:57.860 we need to hold our ground and say our border is that important and, you know, fix our border before you fix Ukraine's border.
00:18:06.020 We're talking with Congressman Thomas Massey.
00:18:09.020 We're coming right back as we try to better understand what is a tragic figure right now as it is he stands.
00:18:17.420 And that is a man who's likely to fall.
00:18:19.540 And that is Mike Johnson, Speaker of the House.
00:18:22.900 We'll be right back with Thomas Massey.
00:18:26.360 Lou Dobbs here.
00:18:27.300 I'm delighted to let you all know that the program Lou Dobbs Tonight has returned to the air.
00:18:32.860 That's right.
00:18:34.660 Lou Dobbs Tonight is back.
00:18:37.120 We're live each and every weeknight at 7 p.m. Eastern and 6 p.m. Central on Rumble.com slash Lou Dobbs.
00:18:46.460 That's Rumble.com slash Lou Dobbs.
00:18:49.560 I hope you'll be joining us for Lou Dobbs Tonight as our fight to save this country has only begun.
00:18:56.900 We're back now.
00:19:03.220 We're talking with Congressman Thomas Massey and the mystery of Mike Johnson.
00:19:09.320 Let me ask you this.
00:19:11.920 What is the calculation, your calculation, as to whether or not Hakeem Jeffries will save Mike Johnson as Speaker of the House?
00:19:20.620 Well, there have been some rumors.
00:19:23.520 It wouldn't be Hakeem Jeffries himself, but, you know, maybe there are four or five people in Hakeem Jeffries' conference who would be given a hall pass to go do this and to vote for Speaker Johnson.
00:19:36.820 Here's the problem with that plan or that notion.
00:19:40.120 Number one, I don't think there are enough Democrats.
00:19:42.500 A sprinkling of Democrats wouldn't do it.
00:19:45.340 He's going to lose a lot of votes when and if this – it's not if – when this motion to vacate gets called by somebody.
00:19:53.680 The other problem is for every Democrat who crosses the aisle to help Mike Johnson, he becomes far more toxic to Republicans.
00:20:01.900 And he probably loses three people on the fence on the Republican side for every Democrat that comes across to help him.
00:20:08.440 That's not to say he might survive one round and remain Speaker for a few more weeks, but then I think the public distaste for having that kind of coalition government and the questions about what did he give up to get those Democrats would further erode his political capital and he would not survive subsequent votes for Speaker.
00:20:28.320 Another calculation, if you will, your analysis, how much does this hurt the GOP, the Republican Party, going into November 5th?
00:20:39.700 The American people on every poll I've seen are appalled by what they're witnessing here, the weakness of leadership and the failure of the conference.
00:20:50.820 Right.
00:20:51.400 So I do believe the polls are correct that Trump is going to win, according to the polls.
00:20:56.380 But the problem is those same polls show that we may lose the House.
00:21:02.120 Right.
00:21:02.240 And I think the attitude among a bunch of Republicans back there who can vote is that, you know what, the House has let us down.
00:21:10.920 We're going to put all of our effort behind Trump.
00:21:13.620 The problem is if we lose the House, then impeachment will happen the first day.
00:21:18.220 It's going to be horrible.
00:21:19.660 But I think we have bigger jeopardy of losing the House with Mike Johnson in charge.
00:21:26.100 He's he's not inspiring our base to put us back in the majority.
00:21:31.380 And we need somebody who gets in there and does that job and doesn't betray us on every one of these big votes like the omnibus on FISA and on the foreign aid and let us down on the border.
00:21:41.800 Let me ask you, the Senate, for the first time in American history, has tabled the impeachment of Alejandro Mayorkas.
00:21:52.400 That is awful.
00:21:54.080 I mean, now it's not just the conference in the House of Representatives.
00:21:56.940 Now it's a toxic Senate.
00:22:00.120 Those Republicans have much to be answered to answer for.
00:22:04.000 Yeah, I mean, he was indicted here in the House.
00:22:07.540 They we deserve a trial there.
00:22:09.580 The American people deserve a trial of Mayorkas.
00:22:13.160 And, you know, the Constitution calls for it.
00:22:15.960 I think the quick dismissal that they gave to this impeachment is wrong.
00:22:20.580 It's it's clearly one sided and they should be taking this up.
00:22:26.440 I mean, why why do we go through all the effort?
00:22:29.120 The Constitution lays this stuff out.
00:22:30.940 The House did its job.
00:22:32.340 The Senate needs to do its job.
00:22:35.000 And and it's by historic historical norms.
00:22:39.740 It's it's required.
00:22:42.960 And simply Chuck Schumer and and I believe it had to be with his hand gripped tightly around the hand of Mitch McConnell.
00:22:52.140 It had to be both of them agreeing on this outcome, don't you think?
00:22:56.980 There's a unit.
00:22:57.940 They're definitely a unit party over in the Senate.
00:23:00.240 And, you know, there probably are some Republicans who don't want to see a trial.
00:23:05.160 Maybe they think we shouldn't do it.
00:23:07.500 But the reality is Mayorkas is the one responsible for the invasion of our country at the southern border.
00:23:13.480 And a lot of that stuff, the indictments should have been heard if you can't.
00:23:18.900 You know, that's basically what we do here in the House is indict.
00:23:21.640 They've got to have the trial.
00:23:23.320 They didn't have the trial.
00:23:24.660 And the unit party probably had a hand in stopping that.
00:23:28.200 Well, the all powerful unit party, the deep state, the Marxist Dems and their and their and their sponsors and donors.
00:23:36.420 Do you have a person, man or woman, who you think would be that speaker that could salvage the Republican Party and its prospects on November 5th?
00:23:50.040 Well, Jim Jordan, without a doubt, would would really renew, I think, people's faith in Congress.
00:23:57.060 He showed in the Judiciary Committee that he will fight the whole time he's been here.
00:24:01.460 He will fight for Americans.
00:24:03.120 He's smart when he does fight.
00:24:04.680 He doesn't go off on wild goose chases.
00:24:07.700 He would be a great person to lead this conference.
00:24:10.420 I think he would inspire the fundraisers, the donors who aren't back in Congress right now, who's given up on us to really double down and try again.
00:24:19.040 So I think he's the leader and he would be my first preference.
00:24:24.000 And I'm going to say hallelujah, Congressman.
00:24:26.800 I couldn't agree with you more.
00:24:29.100 And by the way, on everything you've said here today and everything you say nearly every day.
00:24:34.880 Thomas Massey, great American, great congressman, great representative for the people of Kentucky, his district, the most fortunate among them, because he represents them full time.
00:24:46.500 Congressman Massey, thank you so much.
