00:00:00.000 Hello, everybody. I'm John Fawcett with this Great America Show midday update for Wednesday, May 6th.
00:00:04.020 Happy Wednesday, folks. It was a rhino, bloodbath, beatdown, whatever the heck you want to call it, in Indiana last night.
00:00:11.280 Several rhinos in the great state of Indiana and the state senators losing their primaries.
00:00:16.520 Trump-endorsed candidates swept Indiana.
00:00:19.140 In December, President Trump unleashed on the spine of St. Indiana Republicans,
00:00:23.040 which has torpedoed a slam-dunk redistricting bill that would have handed the GOB a crushing 9-0
00:00:28.000 on congressional stronghold seats in the Hoyser State.
00:00:31.000 Now, the Indiana State Senate suddenly killed the proposal
00:00:33.620 for that congressional redistricting map
00:00:35.860 that would have locked in those nine to zero races for the Republicans.
00:00:40.880 Now, the stunning part about it all is Republicans hold 40 of the 50 chamber seats.
00:00:45.740 The bill failed after more than half of the state Senate Republicans voted against it,
00:00:50.400 effectively doing the Democrats' work for them.
00:00:52.600 But those 21 Republicans had to answer when it came time to going to the ballots.
00:00:59.760 Now, back in December, President Trump vowed that he was going to primary those rhinos who defied the party.
00:01:05.580 Take a listen to President Trump back in December.
00:01:07.620 It's funny because I won Indiana all three times by a landslide, and I wasn't working on it very hard.
00:01:15.320 It would have been nice. I think we would have picked up two seats if we did that.
00:01:18.380 you had one gentleman
00:01:19.880 the head of the Senate
00:01:20.680 I guess
00:01:21.220 Bray
00:01:22.000 whatever his name is
00:01:22.940 I heard he was
00:01:24.340 against it
00:01:25.280 he'd probably lose
00:01:26.080 his next primary
00:01:27.300 whenever that is
00:01:28.360 I hope he does
00:01:29.060 because he's done
00:01:30.320 a tremendous disservice
00:01:31.280 I mean think of it
00:01:32.180 it's a great place
00:01:33.720 I love the people there
00:01:34.780 they love me
00:01:35.440 we won in a landslide
00:01:37.080 all three times
00:01:38.000 got tremendous votes
00:01:39.060 record
00:01:39.460 I got record votes
00:01:40.440 and then you
00:01:41.700 there's no reason
00:01:43.180 for doing that
00:01:43.900 and the Democrats
00:01:44.680 do it to us
00:01:45.420 so I can't imagine
00:01:46.320 that they do it
00:01:46.980 but I wasn't very much involved, but there's a man named Bray as a, I guess, head of the Senate.
00:01:54.660 Was that Bray? Is that the name, Bray?
00:01:58.700 And, I mean, I'm sure that whenever his primary is, it's, I think, in two years,
00:02:04.440 but I'm sure he'll go down. I'll certainly support anybody that wants to go against him.
00:02:10.840 And just as President Trump usually does, 99% of the time, he kept his word,
00:02:15.160 and he primaried each and every single one of them,
00:02:17.960 absolutely demolishing the rhino quorum that they had over there.
00:02:24.460 Virginia Democrats, who won a narrow victory that could now turn into a black eye for the party,
00:02:29.460 not looking good for the Democrats over in Virginia,
00:02:32.800 who on April 21st voted on a referendum despite serious judicial scrutiny,
00:02:39.440 which was the redistricting that was illegal that's now poised to head to the Supreme Court
00:02:46.040 which is almost guaranteed I would say and some legal analysts are saying to be struck down after
00:02:53.000 what we just saw at Louisiana which will now be expedited to move forward with their redistricting
00:02:59.080 plan so not looking good for them earlier today it was announced that CNN founder and liberal
00:03:05.740 billionaire ted turner passed away ted was 87 years old statement released by his family
00:03:12.760 congresswoman nancy mace naming six lawmakers in a bombshell tweet on congressional sex scandal
00:03:20.940 slush funds nancy mace subpoenaed some documents uncovering 338 000 from congressional sexual
00:03:28.540 harassment slush fund cases nine members named were in records before 2004 which of course
00:03:35.520 were destroyed for post-list of the members in their settlements 2007 rodney alexander 15 000
00:03:41.740 2009 the office of carolyn maloney two cases resulting in one settlement 8 000 in 2010 three
00:03:49.680 cases eric massa 85 000 20 000 another 10 000 2010 john connors the first 50 000 2014 blake
00:03:59.920 father-old, $84,000. Once again, in 2014, John Connors, another lump sum, $27,000. And most
00:04:08.920 recently, in 2017, Patrick Meehan, two cases building one settlement, which is a severance
00:04:13.920 pay of just under $40,000. We thank Nancy Mace for exposing this, and we need more people in
00:04:21.360 Congress to expose this corruption of sexual harassment slush funds in the hallways of
00:04:27.800 Congress. President Trump's lawyers are requesting a stay of the 83 million dollar judgment in the
00:04:33.240 E.G. and Carroll defamation case while he seeks Supreme Court review on the grounds of presidential
00:04:38.580 immunity. This is a late filing that was done last night. The Trump request for a stay is unopposed
00:04:43.940 by Carroll's legal team if Trump increases the bond for roughly seven million dollars to cover
00:04:49.340 post-judgment interest on the original judgment that has been under appeal. Now it's time for
00:04:55.900 the supreme court to rule in favor of truth justice and the american way ladies and gentlemen
