00:00:00.000 Hello, everybody. I'm John Fawcett with this Great America Show midday update for Wednesday, April 16th.
00:00:04.880 Happy Wednesday, folks. Breaking news. The Trump administration has criminally referred New York Attorney General Letitia James to the Justice Department for Mortgage Fraud is first reported by the great Roger Stone.
00:00:17.760 He, by the way, is our guest today on the Great America Show, 6 p.m. Eastern time. We're going to take this up.
00:00:23.200 The Trump administration referring Tish James earlier yesterday, the Federal Housing Finance Agency, the FHFA, accusing Letitia James of falsifying records citing a five-unit property in New York she claimed was only four units in order to get more favorable loans.
00:00:41.700 Very interesting, Tish James, because you're the one who went for Donald Trump for allegedly doing the same thing.
00:00:47.940 For more than 20 years, Letitia James reportedly claimed her Brooklyn apartment building was four-unit property on mortgage application despite official records proving it had five.
00:00:57.880 This is not a minor discrepancy lying to the bank about units could enable Letitia James to secure more favorable loans, including a 2011 Home Affordable Modification Program, also known as HAMP, a loan that saved her tens of thousands of dollars annually.
00:01:14.000 Tish James was able to secure a comforting loan through Fannie Mac and Fannie Mae since they are only available on properties up to four units.
00:01:23.480 Seems like you did something wrong.
00:01:25.280 Now, the falsification of documents about her four-condo unit, even though it's five condos, is far from the only problem that Tish James is going to have.
00:01:35.900 Bill Pellutti, who's the director of FHFA, also said that Letitia James claimed her Virginia property as her primary residence.
00:01:44.260 Now, that wouldn't make much sense, would it?
00:01:46.360 Because she's the attorney general of New York. 0.96
00:01:48.820 Of course, that's where she went after Donald Trump, right?
00:01:53.920 Why would she be living in Virginia?
00:01:56.400 That doesn't make much sense.
00:01:59.880 Really, really doesn't add up for Tish James, looking like she's going to be in a little bit of trouble. 1.00
00:02:04.840 The Gateway Pundit has reported also that Letitia James may have either married her father or falsified a loan dated back to 1983.
00:02:14.360 According to the New York City Department of Finance records, on May 20th of 1983, Letitia James and her father, Robert James, took out a real estate loan from Cadillac Funding, LTD, for $30,000 as, quote, husband and wife.
00:02:28.200 Now, Letitia James is not married to her father.
00:02:32.100 Is that another issue for Tish?
00:02:34.840 Folks, you know what they say, don't throw stones when you're living in a glass house.
00:02:41.560 And Tish, I hate to break it to you, but you're certainly living in a glass house.
00:02:47.620 Turning to some other news, Gary Shapley, that's the IRS whistleblower, who exposed the political interference in the Hunter Biden tax invasion case, is expected to be named the acting commissioner of the IRS.
00:02:58.900 IRS. I got to be honest, I like the sound of it.
00:03:01.980 An honest man with great integrity.
00:03:04.120 Shapley's appointment comes as President Trump's nominee for permanent IRS commissioner.
00:03:08.680 Former Missouri Congressman Billy Long awaits Senate confirmation.
00:03:12.200 His anticipated appointment as acting commissioner follows the resignation of Melanie Krauss, who's stepping down amid controversy over data-sharing agreement with Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
00:03:24.120 This agreement permits ICE to access certain taxpayer information, such as names and addresses, to aid identifying and deport illegal aliens.
00:03:35.500 Krauss complained that she was left out of the loop and only found out about the agreement after it was finalized.
00:03:40.360 Sounds like a Marxist dem to me, so getting her out of there was probably the best case.
00:03:43.960 Home Alone 2, a movie that we probably all saw growing up, either, or for our kids.
00:03:50.780 The director of Home Alone 2 has said he would like to cut out President Trump's iconic cameo in the film.
00:03:56.360 In an interview with the San Francisco Chronicle, Columbus, who's the executive producer, said that he's become a curse, meaning Donald Trump, and he would like to see it gone.
00:04:07.780 Trump derangement syndrome? At its finest, folks.
00:04:10.700 China, the Communist Chinese Party, has ordered its state-controlled airlines to halt all deliveries of Boeing aircraft striking a blow to America's manufacturing giant of airplanes.
00:04:22.180 The directive, reported by Bloomberg News, comes as a retaliatory jab in response to President Trump's bold 145% tariff on Chinese goods,
00:04:31.800 a policy aimed at leveling the playing field for American workers, long exploited by China's unfair trade policies.
00:04:38.020 Boeing, who's, as I said, the U.S.'s largest exporter, now faces a loss of critical market.
00:04:43.720 China's top three airlines, Air China, China Eastern, and China Southern, plan to receive 180, nearly 180 Boeing planes between 2025 and 2027.
00:04:53.760 That's fine. The CCP is messing around, and they are going to soon find out.
00:04:58.060 And big tech oligarch, Mark Zuckerberg, he's in a little bit of a pickle, to say the least.
00:05:05.360 During the ongoing antitrust case against Meta, an email revealed that CEO Mark Zuckerberg contemplated separating Instagram from the company in 2018
00:05:13.700 due to the, quote, non-trivial risk the government would move to break up his social media empire.
00:05:19.420 So you may ask, what's the issue here?
00:05:22.680 The issue is, is that once this trial is concluded, Zuckerberg may be forced to part ways with Instagram, one of the largest social media platforms in the world.
00:05:34.860 I like the sound of this.
00:05:36.740 Monopolies are no good in America.
00:05:38.960 Not what this company was built on.
00:05:40.440 It's actually everything we fought against.
00:05:41.880 So we'll keep you posted on how that trial concludes, and if Zuckerberg will be forced to sell off Meta.
00:05:50.540 Folks, please be sure to join us today and each and every day for The Great America Show and The Great America Show Midday Updates,
