00:00:00.000 Hello, everybody. I'm John Fossett with this Great America Show midday update for Wednesday, July 2nd.

00:00:05.180 Happy Wednesday, folks.

00:00:06.980 The news of the day, Sean Combs, also known as Diddy, found guilty on two counts out of the five counts that he was charged with just before 10 o'clock this morning.

00:00:17.100 The judge read that Diddy was found innocent on counts one, two and four, racketeering, sex trafficking by force and fraud or coercion,

00:00:26.080 and another count of sex trafficking by force of fraud or coercion, found guilty on counts three and five, which is transportation to engage in prostitution.

00:00:36.140 Two counts on that, and those two counts stem from two witnesses and their testimony in the case.

00:00:42.660 Diddy's now awaiting if a judge is going to allow him to be out on bail while he awaits sentencing.

00:00:48.280 The maximum sentence that Diddy can face in this is 10 years for each of those counts, so a total of 20 years total.

00:00:56.520 Now, the rule of thumb is you only have to do 80% of the time under good behavior.

00:01:00.100 That's pending good behavior.

00:01:01.700 But Diddy's now almost guaranteed to look at an appeal, and the appeal judge is actually the one who's looking at possibly giving Diddy bail while he awaits sentencing.

00:01:12.140 Some are saying that could signal that he has a very good chance on appeal where he can possibly walk free.

00:01:18.180 It's scary to think that after all the evidence and everything we've seen, known that this man has done to women, to people around him, that he could be a free man walking.

00:01:29.220 But that's just what's being reported right now.

00:01:31.880 So, as I said, the max penalty he looks at right now is possibly 20 years in jail.

00:01:38.060 That's pending.

00:01:38.560 He doesn't win an appeal.

00:01:40.700 Another win for President Trump.

00:01:42.060 CBS and Paramount forced to pay millions of dollars to President Trump, and they have also agreed to change their editorial policy.

00:01:48.820 Whatever that looks like, does that mean they're going to finally stop lying?

00:01:52.560 Probably not, but maybe they'll lie a little bit less.

00:01:55.220 Who knows?

00:01:56.220 President Trump filed a $20 billion lawsuit against the network's parent company, Paramount, for deceptively editing a 60-minute interview with Kamala Harris.

00:02:05.220 You folks all remember that, when she was spitting out gibberish, and somehow, you know, it made sense that this interview came out and it was perfect. 0.99

00:02:15.120 President Trump is reportedly being paid $16 million up front.

00:02:18.400 That $16 million President Trump is set to receive will cover legal fees, costs of the case, and contributions to his library or charitable causes to be determined at Trump's discretion.

00:02:28.920 The wheels of truth, justice, and the American way, folks, may finally be winding.

00:02:33.380 I know I say it, but they may finally be winding in America when we have companies like this forced to pay the price for lying.

00:02:41.140 President Trump and the Trump administration has temporarily suspended certain weapons deliveries to Ukraine, including critical air defense missiles, after a thorough evaluation of U.S. military reserves and foreign aid commitments.

00:02:54.520 This move, approved by Defense Secretary Pete Hegsett, stems from a months-long review prioritizing America's interests, though it remains unclear if other nations' military support will face similar pauses.

00:03:06.040 The White House spokesman on this, Anna Kelly, stated that, quote, the decision was made to put America's interests first, following a DOD review of our nation's military support and assistance to other countries around the globe.

00:03:17.940 This may scare people a little bit because President Trump told us that Joe Biden had depleted our national stockpile of weapons and ammunition by sending them to everybody but ourselves.

00:03:30.320 So we'll have to wait and see what happens.

00:03:32.980 Thomas Massey, you may love him, you may hate him, but he says now he has the votes to block the big, beautiful bill.

00:03:41.520 Thomas Massey enthusiastically telling folks that he has the votes of 10 Republican members who are no votes on the Senate's reconciliation bill.

00:03:49.920 It's unclear who those 10 people are.

00:03:53.140 Don Bacon, who announced recently he won't be running for re-election, one of the impeachment rhinos against Trump,

00:03:58.800 he says he's a yes vote on it, so it's unclear where Massey's coming up with these votes, who's pushing him for it.

00:04:06.540 It's apparent Elon Musk has something to do with it, but we just don't know.

00:04:11.140 And speaking of Elon Musk, Stephen Miller hitting back at Elon for his hatred of the big, beautiful bill,

00:04:17.220 saying anyone who could be against this is for a tax raise for the American middle class.

00:04:22.240 Take a listen to Miller going back at Elon Musk.

00:04:25.840 Well, this is the largest spending cut, Laura, in American history.

00:04:29.480 Think about what's in this bill.

00:04:30.720 The largest tax cut and reform in American history.

00:04:33.660 The largest spending cut in American history.

00:04:36.320 The largest welfare reform in American history.

00:04:40.000 The largest reduction in federal spending ever achieved in a single bill.

00:04:43.780 And then it also includes the most robust, comprehensive border security and immigration enforcement package we've ever seen.

00:04:50.480 One that will allow us to deport millions upon millions of invaders. 1.00

00:04:54.560 To oppose this bill is to support the invasion.

00:04:57.420 To oppose this bill is to support the continued giveaways and freebies to cheaters and scam artists.

00:05:03.740 To oppose this bill is to support a 68% tax hike on the American public.

00:05:08.780 And it's also to oppose this bill is to support a deprivation of all of the tax benefits that President Trump is fighting to deliver the middle class.

00:05:18.620 Like no tax on tips, no tax on Social Security, no tax on overtime.

00:05:22.120 The Senate passed this bill just today demonstrating that they are fighting for President Trump.

00:05:28.640 They are fighting for his agenda.

00:05:29.920 They are not going to listen to an outside voice that does not represent the interests of the American people or the interests of the Republican Party.

00:05:38.140 And the House is going to rally behind President Trump to pass this bill for America.

00:05:42.540 Amen to Stephen Miller.
