The Great America Show - Wednesday Update： June 11, 2025

00:00:00.000 Hello everybody, I'm John Fossett with this Great America Show midday update for Wednesday, June 11th.

00:00:04.580 We've got a deal, folks!

00:00:06.520 President Trump announcing on Truth Social a new deal with China

00:00:09.520 and one major detail of the agreement that's raising eyebrows.

00:00:14.080 Trump wrote in his social media post that he and Xi Jinping have a deal just waiting, signatures for both parts.

00:00:20.800 The first part of the agreement is that the U.S. will receive magnets and any necessary rare earth minerals from China ahead of time.

00:00:27.680 This is critical because China produces roughly 60% of all world's rare earth minerals and processes nearly 90% of them.

00:00:37.120 If China decided to cut off America from those metals, this could qualify as a nuclear option on their part.

00:00:43.140 Quote, our deal with China is done subject to final approval with President Xi and me.

00:00:47.620 Trump wrote in all caps, quote, full magnets and any necessary rare earths will be supplied up front by China.

00:00:54.500 Now, China is still getting a little bit of a significant win on their part.

00:00:59.140 Trump revealed that Chinese students will continue to be able to study at American universities,

00:01:03.260 even though some have been caught spying on Americans and smuggling in pathogens.

00:01:07.900 Trump wrapped up his statement by saying there will be a 55% rate on Chinese goods,

00:01:12.300 while American products in China would face a 10% rate.

00:01:16.600 Now, we'll see if China can hold up on their part of the deal.

00:01:19.360 They're known to lie, cheat, and steal.

00:01:22.540 We'll see if President Trump can get them to hold, and if they don't, what repercussions he will have for them. 0.97

00:01:28.920 ICE is preparing to deploy tactical units to five Marxist-damned-run cities across America.

00:01:34.020 This is escalating chaos and lawlessness ensues.

00:01:37.120 What began as just a federal immigration enforcement in Los Angeles has ignited demonstrations

00:01:42.320 and even violent riots in metropolitan areas across the country.

00:01:47.320 The targeted cities, Seattle, Chicago, Philadelphia, New York City, and Northern Virginia,

00:01:52.680 all sanctuary strongholds where local leaders have long-thumbed their noses

00:01:57.020 at federal authorities shielding criminal illegal aliens while lawlessness festers.

00:02:02.300 These cities, of course, should be no surprise to anybody.

00:02:06.480 We watched what they allowed to happen during the summer of Love in 2020,

00:02:09.440 and it's not just riots, not just your typical protest.

00:02:13.360 There's looting in there, there's bricks, you know, appearing on street corners, all of that good stuff. 0.96

00:02:18.940 Now, this announcement comes as Los Angeles and other Marxist-damned-run cities 0.94

00:02:22.260 are spiraling into anarchy following these ICE raids. 0.95

00:02:26.960 Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and California Governor Gavin Newsom,

00:02:29.740 both radical Dems, have fanned the flames of anarchy,

00:02:32.880 refusing to cooperate with federal authorities and instead coddling with lawbreakers.

00:02:38.280 This is what these folks do and blame, of course, Donald Trump.

00:02:41.180 Newsom even had the audacity to come out to President Trump and telling him to arrest me,

00:02:45.760 daring the administration to hold him accountable for his complicitness in this chaos.

00:02:50.880 President Trump, unyielding in his promise to secure our borders and protect American citizens,

00:02:54.860 has already deployed up to 2,000 National Guard troops and 700 active Marines to Los Angeles

00:03:01.340 to quell the riots, bypassing these spineless state officials who've abandoned their duties

00:03:06.740 and abandoned their folks who they are paid to represent.

00:03:11.280 Turning to some news that we've all been following for the past few days,

00:03:14.500 is Elon Musk issuing sort of an apology to President Trump?

00:03:19.780 Elon Musk posting on Twitter earlier this morning, as in 3 o'clock this morning,

00:03:25.960 quote,

00:03:26.180 I regret some of my posts about President Real Donald Trump at Real Donald Trump last week.

00:03:31.320 They went too far.

00:03:32.580 Now, President Trump, in an interview that comes out later this week with the New York Post's Miranda Devine,

00:03:38.040 says that he may possibly be open to reconciling with Elon,

00:03:43.180 regardless of this issue that they've had,

00:03:46.540 with Elon coming out saying all those terrible things about a man who was nothing but a friend to him,

00:03:51.240 but decided to turn his back on him when he found out that Donald Trump was keeping his campaign promises

00:03:57.220 of getting rid of this green new scam,

00:04:00.460 and that meant electric car subsidies and anything that came along with it.

00:04:04.280 Elon knew about this, and I sound like a brokered record saying this,

00:04:07.340 but Elon knew about this before President Trump got into office and was fine with it,

00:04:13.620 and then when push came to shove, Elon had a total meltdown with those subsidies.

00:04:18.820 So, we'll see what happens with President Trump if he decides to accept any sort of apology from Elon,

00:04:24.600 or if Elon even issues one.

00:04:27.100 The House of Representatives voting this week, 266 to 148,

00:04:30.740 to repeal Washington, D.C.'s local resident voting right amendment of 2022,

00:04:35.800 which, of course, allowed non-U.S. citizens, including potentially illegal immigrants and foreign agents,

00:04:41.640 to cast ballots in local elections.

00:04:44.440 The bill, which was sponsored by a Republican from Texas, August Lugar,

00:04:47.460 drew more support from the Marxist Dems than I think we could have expected.

00:04:51.220 56 Democrats proving GOP's fears that D.C.'s progressive experiments threatens the sanctity of American elections.

00:04:59.060 Good on those 56 Democrats.

00:05:01.620 Bad on those 148 Marxist Dems who don't care about securing our elections. 0.97

00:05:07.740 And why would they?

00:05:08.380 Because they steal, and they lie, and they cheat.

00:05:10.840 Nothing new here, folks.
