00:00:00.000 Hello, everybody. I'm John Fossett with this Great America Show midday update for Wednesday, June 25th.
00:00:04.760 Happy Wednesday, folks.
00:00:06.360 President Trump wrapping up a historic and monumental win as he departs the Hague and the Netherlands.
00:00:12.360 President Trump is now en route to the United States.
00:00:14.460 President Trump hailed his historic trip for the United States, for Europe and Western civilization
00:00:19.900 as the NATO alliance has agreed to his demand to equalize the burden of common defense
00:00:26.080 with a 5% GDP floor on military spending for all of its members.
00:00:32.160 Folks, this is massive.
00:00:33.660 Some countries contributing 1%, a half percent.
00:00:37.840 Nobody meeting what the United States does and what the United States contributes.
00:00:42.080 President Trump, before wrapping up, sort of an interesting trip.
00:00:46.340 NATO Chief Mark Root referring to President Trump as the daddy of NATO.
00:00:51.840 Take a listen to President Trump when he was asked about the NATO chief referring to him as daddy.
00:00:58.640 Mark Root, the NATO chief, who is your friend, he called you daddy earlier.
00:01:05.880 Do you regard your NATO allies as kind of children?
00:01:10.400 No, he likes me. I think he likes me.
00:01:12.520 If he doesn't, I'll let you know. I'll come back and I'll hit him hard, OK? 0.99
00:01:16.040 He did it very affectionately. Daddy, you're my daddy. 0.99
00:01:19.040 Do you regard your NATO allies, though, as kind of like children?
00:01:23.040 And they're obviously listening to you and they're spending more.
00:01:25.960 And you're obviously appreciative of that.
00:01:28.880 But do you hope that actually they're going to be able to defend themselves, defend Europe on their own?
00:01:35.660 I think they need help a little bit at the beginning.
00:01:37.860 And I think they'll be able to.
00:01:39.140 And I think they're going to remember this day.
00:01:41.360 And this was a big day for NATO.
00:01:42.920 You know, this was a very big day.
00:01:44.160 They took it.
00:01:44.680 And one of the gentlemen said, you know what, we've been trying to raise money for raise the rate for 30 years, he said, 20 years from almost the beginning.
00:01:54.340 And he's been there for a long time.
00:01:55.860 He said, until you came along, it never happened.
00:01:58.280 What you did is amazing.
00:01:59.320 It's been sort of an amazing day for a lot of reasons, but also for that.
00:02:03.120 Yeah, go ahead.
00:02:03.560 You think they can do it without you, though, in the future?
00:02:06.120 Can they do it without you?
00:02:06.620 Well, ask Mark.
00:02:07.820 I mean, you have to ask Mark.
00:02:09.200 President Trump, absolutely brilliant.
00:02:12.240 As you can tell, people are a little nervous if the United States does decide to leave NATO.
00:02:18.120 A lot of nations in Europe and around the world are going to be kind of left high and dry.
00:02:23.360 So President Trump making it incumbent upon these people to pay their fair share, as Bernie Sanders likes to say.
00:02:30.800 President Trump, before leaving, fielding some questions, even the ones from the fake news.
00:02:34.760 He doesn't shy away from very many people.
00:02:36.640 If anybody at all, President Trump humiliating CNN's Caitlin Collins on live TV for her fake news reporting about the destruction that the U.S. bunker busters did on the nuclear facilities in Iran.
00:02:52.200 Take a listen to Collins.
00:02:53.480 It's almost like she's rooting for Iran just to root against America because Donald Trump is the president of the United States.
00:02:59.720 Take a listen.
00:03:00.700 Oh, fake news, CNN?
00:03:02.400 No.
00:03:03.380 Oh, yeah, yeah.
00:03:03.960 Here we go.
00:03:04.400 Wait till you hear this question.
00:03:05.320 Thank you, sir.
00:03:07.020 You should really say how great our soldiers and our warriors are.
00:03:10.860 I think everyone appreciates our soldiers and our warriors.
00:03:13.080 I do have two questions for you, Mr. President.
00:03:15.200 You just cited Israeli intelligence on these attacks.
00:03:19.240 Earlier, you said U.S. intelligence was inconclusive.
00:03:22.320 Are you relying on Israeli intelligence for your assessment of the impact of the strikes?
00:03:27.140 No, this is also Iran made the statement.
00:03:29.140 And it's also if you read the document that was given that Pete can talk about if you'd like.
00:03:34.740 The document said it could be very severe damage, but they didn't take that.
00:03:40.360 They said it could be limited or it could be very severe.
00:03:42.880 They really didn't know other than to say it could be limited or it could be very, very severe.
00:03:48.260 And you didn't choose to put that because it was very early after.
00:03:52.160 Since then, we've collected additional intelligence.
00:03:54.780 We've also spoken to people who have seen the site and the site is obliterated.
00:04:00.480 And we think everything nuclear is down there.
00:04:03.200 They didn't take it out.
00:04:04.520 It would be nice if Caitlin Collins and CNN rooted for America every now and then,
00:04:08.660 or at least reported the real news.
00:04:10.720 Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth fielded some questions after President Trump made those remarks
00:04:15.680 to fake news Caitlin Collins and addressed the reports.
00:04:18.800 Take a listen.
00:04:19.680 There's a reason the president calls out fake news for what it is.
00:04:23.000 These pilots, these refuelers, these fighters, these air defenders,
00:04:29.320 the skill and the courage it took to go into enemy territory flying 36 hours
00:04:33.140 on behalf of the American people in the world to take out a nuclear program
00:04:36.620 is beyond what anyone in this audience can fathom.
00:04:40.240 And then the instinct, the instinct of CNN, the instinct of the New York Times
00:04:45.560 is to try to find a way to spin it for their own political reasons
00:04:51.160 to try to hurt President Trump or our country.
00:04:54.260 They don't care what the troops think.
00:04:55.720 They don't care what the world thinks.
00:04:57.320 They want to spin it to try to make him look bad based on a leak.
00:05:01.140 Of course, we've all seen plenty of leakers.
00:05:03.160 And what do leakers do?
00:05:03.920 They have agendas.
00:05:05.080 And what do they do?
00:05:05.740 Do they share the whole information or just the part that they want to introduce?
00:05:10.260 And when they introduce that preliminary report that's deemed to be a low assessment,
00:05:18.560 you know what a low assessment means?
00:05:20.020 Low confidence in the data in that report.
00:05:22.840 And why is there low confidence?
00:05:24.360 Because all of the evidence of what was just bombed by 12, 30,000 pound bombs
00:05:30.280 is buried under a mountain, devastated and obliterated.
00:05:34.060 So if you want to make an assessment of what happened at Fordow, you better get a big shovel
00:05:38.940 and go really deep because Iran's nuclear program is obliterated.
00:05:44.180 And somebody somewhere is trying to leak something to say, oh, with low confidence,
00:05:49.240 we think maybe it's moderate.
00:05:51.500 Those that dropped the bombs precisely in the right place know exactly what happened when that exploded.
00:05:58.260 And you know who else knows?
00:05:59.420 Iran.
00:05:59.780 Iran.
00:06:00.220 That's why they came to the table right away, because their nuclear capabilities have been
00:06:04.640 set back beyond what they thought were possible because of the courage of a commander in chief
00:06:10.480 who led our troops, despite what the fake news wants to say.
00:06:13.360 Boy, do I have to say it's a nice feeling of relief to have an administration that cares
00:06:20.200 about this country that has the best interest of America in their mind and not other countries.
00:06:25.860 It's great on Trump, great on this administration, and great on Pete Hegseth for doing a hell
00:06:30.840 of a job in their first few months in office.
