The Great America Show - WHY ARE OUR PUBLIC SCHOOLS FAILING MOST STUDENTS？

00:00:00.000 Hello, everybody. This is the Great America Show, all about the American way in every way.

00:00:07.260 Thank you for being with us as we together endeavor to protect and defend this great constitutional republic of ours.

00:00:14.240 The forces arrayed against America from within are powerful, intent.

00:00:19.780 They were once, for the most part, silent, out of sight, content to subvert and influence government from within their layers.

00:00:27.660 But as they've successfully insinuated themselves throughout our federal bureaucracies, they've become not only more confident but arrogant,

00:00:37.220 pressing into public view and unafraid of oversight or consequence, knowing how powerful they've become not only in positions held but in sheer numbers within our federal government.

00:00:49.960 And the ideological imperatives of the subversive forces within our government, our permanent bureaucracies, are without question Marxist leftists pressing their ideology throughout our government.

00:01:04.280 And the ideological imperatives of the subversive forces within our government, our permanent bureaucracies, are without question Marxist leftists pressing their ideology throughout government.

00:01:16.880 And there is no doubt that the left's winning that ideological war from within, while authoritarian, totalitarian governments in conflict with all that is America from outside have failed.

00:01:32.120 These internal forces, now public, are attacking our culture, our heritage, and founding values and institutions.

00:01:39.700 Critical race theory, CRT, is only one of the neatly packaged ideological weapons employed by the left for the simple reason that it works, whether in government at all levels or in public schools, where teachers attack daily the American way through CRT and thereby indoctrinate our children by the millions.

00:02:04.780 Today, our guest is Luke Rosiak. He's the author of the important book, Race to the Bottom, Uncovering the Secret Forces Destroying American Public Education.

00:02:17.060 Congratulations on your book, Luke, which we recommend to all, and thanks for the great service to the country in writing it.

00:02:24.480 Welcome to the Great America Show, Luke.

00:02:27.260 Great to be with you, Luke.

00:02:28.220 Our children are our most precious, precious part of our lives, along with our grandchildren.

00:02:38.400 I wonder how in the world we're going to be able to protect them from what is obviously a public education system that has been taken over by the quote-unquote woke Marxist left.

00:02:54.300 I mean, public education is pretty much the biggest thing that the government does.

00:02:59.640 We spend about a trillion dollars a year on it, and yet the results are horrible.

00:03:03.480 We got 36% literacy rate amongst 12th graders, 24% proficient in math.

00:03:09.000 It's a total failure, and the extent to which they're willing to harm children to advance the financial desires of the adults who work at these places, like we saw during the coronavirus shutdowns, it just kind of shocks the conscience.

00:03:27.200 I saw a headline this week that something like half the kids in Los Angeles are just kind of lost now.

00:03:35.100 They're like chronically truant because they shut down schools for two years, and now they want them back, but it's like the kids are just off the grid.

00:03:42.800 And all of this was totally predictable, but the teachers' union wanted to shut down schools and then use the reopening as like a leverage for like this hostage negotiation.

00:03:52.340 So they got their $130 billion.

00:03:55.580 I hope they're happy, but what we're looking at is essentially the destruction of this country within the next decade if we can't turn this around because you can't have a country with kids that can't read.

00:04:09.880 No one is holding those teachers' unions accountable.

00:04:12.920 And, Luke, I want your opinion on this.

00:04:16.500 Should we make every effort known to man to get those teachers' unions out of our schools? 0.71

00:04:24.340 Yes, absolutely.

00:04:25.240 And this isn't even a partisan thing.

00:04:28.280 This isn't Democrats versus Republicans.

00:04:30.560 It's special interests versus children.

00:04:34.240 Schools do not exist to employ adults.

00:04:36.460 They exist for one reason only, which is to educate children.

00:04:39.180 And so, you know, I think obviously one of the things we can do is charter schools is our, excuse me, school choice where we would get the money.

00:04:48.220 We currently spend $17,000 a year per child.

00:04:51.860 And, you know, the teachers' unions love to say that schools are underfunded.

00:04:55.240 They have to say that to explain their horrible results because people are like, oh, you know, you only managed to get 11% of kids to be proficient in American history.

00:05:03.820 Something, there must be some reason why other than total incompetence.

00:05:07.500 So it must have been a lack of funding.

00:05:09.220 But once you realize $17,000 per year per kid, that's a lot of money.

00:05:12.980 So it is incompetence.

00:05:15.140 So, you know, it really is a bipartisan or transpartisan thing.

00:05:19.080 After people woke up with the coronavirus, as you said, these problems existed for decades.

00:05:24.360 People just kind of were forced to reckon with them in the last couple of years.

00:05:28.960 But you saw Asians who really value academic achievement and hard work becoming motivated to become politically involved and push back against this woke stuff. 0.70

00:05:40.160 You saw traditional Democrat voters in Virginia, where I am, who voted for Glenn Youngkin because they realized that what's going on in the schools is illiberal and it's irrational.

00:05:50.240 And if another thing that has a bipartisan support is vouchers, you know, most black Democrats want to be able to send their kids to private schools or charter schools or wherever they want with the money that we're already spending.

00:06:04.240 And so I wonder if you could get that on a referendum where it's put right to voters on a ballot, it could potentially pass.

00:06:11.700 And the Democratic politicians, of course, aren't going to let it happen because they do whatever the teachers union tell them to.

00:06:17.440 But this is something that actually Democratic voters would even support.

00:06:21.620 And once we have vouchers, then the schools actually have to care what parents think because they become their customers.

00:06:27.100 But right now it's clear that they treat us as parents with just total contempt, with total contempt and with such arrogance.

00:06:35.400 I can't I can't even imagine that we've reached this point when one only one out of 10 teachers are actually teaching a subject to our students that the teacher has majored in their level of understanding of most of these subjects is highly questionable.

00:06:54.220 We know that they are not leading the class in terms of their own educational achievement.

00:07:01.320 They're getting certificates in teaching.

00:07:03.840 So let's get let's get real on this issue.

00:07:06.600 These people have to be performing at a higher level.

00:07:10.860 And many of them look at as a sinecure, a cushy job with a lot of time off.

00:07:18.220 And oh, yeah, I'll put up with the brats if I have to. 0.94

00:07:20.940 But that seems to be the general attitude.

00:07:23.420 And oh, yes, they belong to a union. 1.00

00:07:25.160 So go to hell, everybody. 1.00

00:07:27.340 Yeah, that's right. 0.98

00:07:28.280 I think there's we're being told that, you know, you have to defer to the experts because they know best.

00:07:33.060 They're the educators.

00:07:34.000 Parents don't know what they're talking about.

00:07:35.680 Look, teachers go.

00:07:37.340 Teachers have the lowest SAT scores of any major.

00:07:40.820 Literally, like gender. 0.76

00:07:42.200 People who go to college to study gender studies have higher SAT scores than teachers.

00:07:47.000 It's literally the bottom of any major.

00:07:48.800 And a funny thing happens.

00:07:50.640 Then they graduate from college with their diploma in education and they have the highest GPAs of any major.

00:07:57.200 And the reason is because there's essentially no standards.

00:07:59.740 It's anyone can get an A in like teaching, you know, the education degree.

00:08:04.040 So I wish I'd have known that sooner.

00:08:08.700 So it's really a joke.

00:08:10.400 There's really no standards.

00:08:11.940 Anyone can become a teacher.

00:08:13.360 And yeah, they do.

00:08:14.640 They get this unnecessary master's degree.

00:08:17.400 That's not in the subject they're going to teach.

00:08:19.420 It's in the subject of education, which is really just brainwashing.

00:08:23.600 I went through the records of the education conferences where the professors get together and, you know, talk about, you know, basically how they're going to train the teachers.

00:08:33.000 It mentioned critical race theory 157 times and reading only 53 times.

00:08:39.320 So they're talking about actual academics only a third as much as they're talking about ideology.

00:08:46.320 It's amazing because, you know, the old expression, which this younger generation probably is unaware of, was you go to school for reading, writing, and arithmetic.

00:08:58.460 And those three subjects, you know, you have to really work hard to find them being taught well anywhere in any public school.

00:09:08.680 And the truth is, we don't even begin to start talking about meritocracy in our public education system.

00:09:17.140 That's exactly right.

00:09:18.300 When they created specialized schools like magnet schools across the country and in New York City, they call them specialized schools like Stuyvesant.

00:09:27.440 The idea was to get away from the elite, the rich old white people that controlled everything, and just say, let's do everything based on merit.

00:09:36.200 And so they created these schools that, by law, you had to get in only based on how you did on the test.

00:09:43.000 So you couldn't use your connections or your political donations or your society stature to get in.

00:09:48.780 And it was just, it totally leveled the playing field.

00:09:51.860 And that was great.

00:09:53.000 It was the American dream. 0.78

00:09:54.440 And you actually, in schools like Stuyvesant, you know how you have a ton of Asians who are like immigrants coming here with nothing, dirt poor. 1.00

00:10:00.540 And through hard work, they succeed in America.

00:10:02.940 And it's a wonderful thing.

00:10:03.940 We see the American dream alive and well.

00:10:06.200 But the activists who run education in America now, they've come out against meritocracy and, in fact, against objectivity and against the American dream.

00:10:17.840 I've seen lesson plans where they tell young kids that the American dream doesn't exist and you can't get ahead through hard work.

00:10:24.600 And so when you see things like people using studying hard at math to get ahead, they have to destroy it.

00:10:32.100 So there's an effort to get rid of these magnet schools and basically bring down our lowest, our highest achieving people.

00:10:40.960 And so that's basically equity is, you know, as you said, there's a lot of talk about racial disparities among teachers.

00:10:50.700 They focus on the gap between races instead of just helping all children.

00:10:55.680 And so if you can bring Asians down or bring whites down, then you've actually shrunk the gap between blacks and whites and blacks and Asians. 0.63

00:11:03.140 And so they pat themselves on the back.

00:11:05.840 But the funny thing is, if you wanted to help poor people and minorities, you would just teach them those three R's, not racism, racism, racism, but reading, writing, arithmetic.

00:11:15.960 And then they go on and they get high paid jobs.

00:11:18.320 And so if we have sort of this entrenched lower class in this country, the teachers are partially to blame for that because by taking schools away from just focusing on the basics and hard work and meritocracy, they're just perpetuating this status quo.

00:11:37.320 And so equity basically means equal outcomes for all, which is essentially communism.

00:11:42.600 And you get that by, of course, just like in communism, bringing the top people down or just cooking the books and just stop measuring things.

00:11:50.460 And so with these specialized magnet schools, they're trying to just get rid of the test.

00:11:55.660 And you see them doing it at colleges with the SAT, too.

00:11:58.460 So we just won't give the test because tests are racist.

00:12:00.960 And then voila, we've eliminated racial disparities.

00:12:03.620 Do you realize that MIT has just resumed using the SAT scores for its admissions office and admission candidates?

00:12:15.520 To think that these major schools have walked away from the SAT, and it does have problems.

00:12:21.860 There's no doubt about it.

00:12:23.120 We're talking with Luke Rosiak.

00:12:25.320 He is the author of the very important book, Race to the Bottom, Uncovering the Secret Forces Destroying American Public Education.

00:12:36.400 Luke, again, congratulations on the book.

00:12:39.540 What has been the reaction to the book?

00:12:42.300 Have you heard from the teachers' unions?

00:12:44.560 They're kind of coming after me.

00:12:45.580 I doubt any of them have read the book.

00:12:47.080 It's funny because it's not even that partisan of a book.

00:12:49.440 I'm known for, of course, the Loudoun County scandals, breaking the story about how they created a hit list on parents and then later breaking the story of the rape cover-up.

00:12:58.920 And so some of it is like I've done a lot about critical race theory and all these culture war issues.

00:13:03.540 But it's funny.

00:13:04.060 When I started investigating the schools, what I found is that those issues are essentially the cover-up to the crime.

00:13:10.420 And the crime is the fact that we're failing to teach kids.

00:13:13.500 The cover-up is like when you have these consultants come in and say the tests are racist.

00:13:18.600 Well, that's pretty convenient because now we get to ignore the horrible stats.

00:13:23.860 So, yeah, it is funny.

00:13:25.280 They're going to say what they're going to say, but these are profoundly dishonest people.

00:13:29.460 These are the same people that claim schools are underfunded or property taxes of your town determine how much funding they get.

00:13:36.680 So poor areas have less funding, which is totally untrue. 0.65

00:13:40.580 They're just complete liars.

00:13:41.880 But, you know, basically the issue is you said it very well. 0.76

00:13:47.200 The standardized tests are the only things they don't lie about.

00:13:50.540 And that's why they say things like we've got to get rid of standardized tests because it causes teachers to teach to the test, which is total nonsense.

00:13:58.920 Like if the test is about math, of course, the teacher should be teaching to the test.

00:14:03.340 Most of these times, you don't even have to pass the test to advance to the next grade.

00:14:07.780 It's purely an analytical measure to see if like how the teacher is doing and how the school is doing.

00:14:13.820 So these teachers are basically willing to do anything to get out of a job evaluation.

00:14:18.060 And we all have to do job evaluation.

00:14:20.020 So we have to see, are we are we are we doing what we're supposed to be doing?

00:14:22.840 And the teachers just know if you look at these stats about how competent people are in reading and writing and arithmetic, once people realize that everything changes.

00:14:34.300 And so if they can talk about things like social, emotional learning, well, how do you give a grade in that?

00:14:40.960 You know, like here's a gold star.

00:14:42.340 Your emotions seem state, you know, like it's subjective.

00:14:46.080 And so that's really, I think, what a lot of this, of course, there are true believers in the crazy ideologies.

00:14:51.660 And that's part of it.

00:14:53.220 But then there's this other faction and they have this weird alliance.

00:14:57.160 And the other faction is just using this stuff because they just want to get paid to work in these schools and not do a very good job.

00:15:03.800 And so they've embraced this ideology because the one thing that unites all the all the jargon that you hear, like social, emotional learning and culturally sustainable, responsible education, blah, blah, blah.

00:15:15.900 What it all really means is it's subjective.

00:15:18.180 Just take our word for it.

00:15:19.560 We're going to give everyone A's or whatever, but you'll never be able to.

00:15:22.860 It's not a multiple choice where there's either right or wrong.

00:15:25.360 And so we can basically rig the stats.

00:15:27.360 And so I started looking at the school system as almost like Enron.

00:15:30.580 It's like a statistical fraud is really underlying all of it.

00:15:34.580 We as a government, as a nation, do not have the ability to get an astronaut to the International Space Station unless we hitch a ride on a Russian rocket and capsule. 0.94

00:15:51.620 Or we turn to Mr. Elon Musk, and I, by the way, prefer this approach.

00:15:58.680 He privatized it.

00:16:00.320 He is the only one providing transportation as a private citizen and company to the International Space Station.

00:16:10.180 And I guarantee you, when he talks about Mars, he's the guy who's going to be leading the way.

00:16:14.360 Your thoughts about society and the quality of our education.

00:16:20.240 Well, I mean, I think that's why you see in Silicon Valley them hiring a lot of people from India and China using these H-1Bs. 0.76

00:16:28.560 It's because our American kids are not qualified to have these jobs that we need to have a first world country and a stable society and who are going to create this health care advancements and national security developments and create the next vaccine that's going to get us out of some health problem.

00:16:47.460 You know, you're going to drive across the bridge designed by someone who's been told by radical CRT consultants that math is racist.

00:16:59.160 That's dangerous.

00:17:00.740 Society is going to collapse if we're indulging this idea that's become commonplace on the far left, that there is no such thing as objectivity and that merit is a myth.

00:17:10.960 Math matters.

00:17:11.880 Science matters.

00:17:13.220 Hard work matters.

00:17:14.220 But I'll tell you where some of these CRT ideas are really coming from.

00:17:18.560 I spent quite a while investigating the money trail doing this book.

00:17:22.000 And what I found is that it comes from the Ford Foundation, the Kellogg Foundation, the Rockefeller Foundation.

00:17:30.620 And these groups have a hundred year history of total racism.

00:17:35.680 In their early existence, they were pushing eugenics. 0.61

00:17:39.280 In the 1950s, they created a warehouse of American families and they decided which ones were desirable and which ones we should keep from procreating.

00:17:48.900 It's total creepiness.

00:17:50.980 And now fast forward a hundred years, you've got them funding the activist groups or coming into schools and saying, well, you know, math is racist and hard work and worship of the written word, as they call it, is an attribute of white culture.

00:18:04.860 So these are the same racist saying the same racist thing, which is that black people can't live alongside of whites and work hard to jump on time. 0.96

00:18:14.700 It's total nonsense. 0.94

00:18:15.640 And when you realize who's funding it, it's really the same creepy eugenics ideas with the same effect, which is the perpetuation of this underclass by by by telling minority kids that they can't do all the same things that everyone else does, which is, of course, total BS. 0.79

00:18:34.580 It's just terrible what's happening in this country.

00:18:37.040 We've got people who actually feel guilty about asserting their own ideas in their own communities about their own schools. 0.96

00:18:45.120 And they're listening to these these ignorant teachers unions and and basically cowering before them. 0.94

00:18:53.500 I can't stand it that we have become such a passive and malleable society in this country. 0.53

00:19:01.180 Yeah, I like that you said that, because, first of all, the issue that bothers me most, I think, is that we all want our kids to be happy as parents.

00:19:11.540 That's what we want most more than them even being smart, successful.

00:19:15.880 We just want them to be happy.

00:19:17.600 And when you look at kids like Greta Thunberg or David Hogg, they're clearly not happy.

00:19:23.080 They're constantly worked up into anxiety that's been pushed on them by adults about things that they don't have the life experience to contextualize.

00:19:31.540 You know, they literally believe like the world is ending and it's really sad.

00:19:35.700 That's what they want for these kids is to make them all feel that they're oppressed when they didn't previously perceive any oppression.

00:19:42.360 Making kids sad is evil and no parent should want it.

00:19:46.400 But, you know, basically, one of the things that I think is most interesting to read in this book is the consultants who have made millions of dollars off of this and how they all are just total charlatans with some unhappiness in their own life that they're projecting onto everyone else.

00:20:03.960 And so one of them out of Seattle has become very important in this area.

00:20:07.080 She I found I looked into her personal background.

00:20:09.860 She's married a child molester and moved her eight year old kid in with this guy that just got out of prison for molesting a nine year old girl. 0.87

00:20:16.520 And then she the kid has like mental issues and she makes the kid trans, according to her ex-husband. 0.86

00:20:22.500 You know, basically, she pretends that she's oppressed in Seattle because she's Hispanic. 1.00

00:20:27.580 Where are the child protective services that that woman has responsibilities to that child that transcend her? 1.00

00:20:37.080 A choice to be virtue signaling by marrying a pedophile, for God's sake.

00:20:44.400 Yeah. 0.99

00:20:44.640 I mean, there's arguably like mental illness like on these people where this lady is, you know, she's a quarter Hispanic. 1.00

00:20:50.880 She looks white and she lives in in Seattle.

00:20:54.540 And she says, well, I finally understood why I've been unhappy my whole life.

00:20:58.340 It's because I'm being persecuted for being she can X.

00:21:01.480 And it's like, dude, literally no one even first of all, there's not a bunch of racists running around Seattle and literally you look white.

00:21:09.260 No one knows that like one of your four grandparents were Hispanic. 0.97

00:21:12.960 Clearly, this is a woman who has mental issues where she's sad. 1.00

00:21:16.420 There's something broken about her.

00:21:18.340 And now she's found and she thinks she's found a reason, which is hidden racism in of all places, Seattle.

00:21:23.760 And so she starts teaching these kids in Seattle, well, everything is racist.

00:21:28.280 Everyone hates you. 0.75

00:21:29.560 Math is racist.

00:21:30.960 And so she's telling the minorities in Seattle, which is where Microsoft and Amazon are based, that math isn't for them.

00:21:37.620 Well, guess what?

00:21:38.120 These companies are dying to pay people like a quarter million bucks a year to do computer coding, which is basically math.

00:21:43.900 And so here, this woman who pretends that she's who's basically a white woman, who's just has this completely made up background that she's oppressed is causing kids to be sad and to be permanently impoverished.

00:21:58.100 And then there's another guy, Glenn Singleton, who's a really if you hear the word in your school district for all your listeners, there's a good chance they've heard this phrase courageous conversations.

00:22:08.640 That all comes from this guy, Glenn Singleton.

00:22:10.800 He's a black guy, but guess what?

00:22:12.320 He went to a Jewish day school growing up where he was the head of the horseback riding club.

00:22:16.880 His hobbies include singing and dancing and Broadway musicals.

00:22:20.560 He went to an Ivy League school and now he's making millions of dollars teaching people what it means to be black. 0.92

00:22:28.160 It's a total farce. 0.89

00:22:30.380 And what he's telling kids it means to be black are hard work is a white thing. 0.94

00:22:36.380 That's not for you. 0.99

00:22:37.180 It's it's complete craziness that is being pushed by just a total charlatan.

00:22:44.260 And and when you you're sitting in that local school board meeting and you start listening to the pedantic sanctimonious teachers representatives and sometimes the administration as well, since they all went to the same education department.

00:23:02.840 Usually you can't even make head and your tails of what the hell they're saying, because everybody in the room is a parent who's a parent is working for a living, is paying taxes for everybody in that building, paid for the building.

00:23:16.740 And we're being told, you know, just buzz off and just, you know, put away your racist hangups and all of your triggers that have been inherited from your forebears.

00:23:30.300 We're going to do things our way and our way is the hell with S.T.E.M., the hell with your objective testing and multiple choice.

00:23:40.900 We are going to have highly impressionistic and subjective testing where the teacher can decide whether you're left or not, if whether your parents are liberal enough, whether you really get woke this and how you how you work so hard to not offend anyone in your class.

00:24:02.440 Johnny, Johnny or Jill, it's sickening to watch what we become and it is a war.

00:24:08.260 I mean, Disney has entered the CRT sweepstakes.

00:24:13.160 It's entered the woke brigades and wants to have the gayest kids movie yet. 0.95

00:24:19.440 And the head of Disney Entertainment says she wants half, half of the movies Disney produces to be for for trans, for gays, for the underrepresented.

00:24:34.080 Who? What in the hell is she talking about? 0.98

00:24:37.840 I mean, what we've seen over the last couple of years is people willing to inflict emotional, physical and sexual abuse on children in order to advance their own interests, whether it's, you know, abortion to this lady on Supreme Court who's letting child molesters out of jail to what they did with the masks to CRT, which is making kids sad. 0.99

00:24:58.600 And then this Disney thing, I mean, transgender people have a very high rate of suicide.

00:25:03.780 I mean, we shouldn't want to induce more children to become transgender who haven't thought of it on their own. 1.00

00:25:09.460 And we're like persuading that I'm curious about something.

00:25:13.280 How many transgender people are there in this country?

00:25:17.480 Because this has exploded upon our society in the last two, maybe three years.

00:25:23.180 You would hear a rare instance of it 20, 30 years ago.

00:25:27.080 But now it is a identified group.

00:25:31.080 It is a group that has immense political and social power and is occupying mind space for anyone who watched children's television more than five minutes.

00:25:43.520 I mean, yeah, obviously, if there was that many transgenders, I don't think our society, just biologically speaking, would have been able to procreate for all these generations. 1.00

00:25:53.600 It clearly there's half the people are not transgender, but Disney wants half half the people to be gay or transgender.

00:26:02.340 First of all, I'm proud to be working at The Daily Wire where they they pledged to spend one hundred million dollars over the next couple of years creating their own children's entertainment.

00:26:12.200 And I think that's yeah, it's amazing.

00:26:16.200 They're not going to be doing I think the goal is not to create political propaganda for kids.

00:26:21.480 It's not going to be indoctrinating them to be like mini Ben Shapiro's.

00:26:25.320 It's just going to be regular stuff that lets kids just kids.

00:26:28.240 You just took a load off my mind.

00:26:30.000 I don't want I don't want any of our kids talking that fast, but I would like that.

00:26:37.800 I would like them to think that.

00:26:39.420 Well, how's that?

00:26:41.380 Yeah, we got to let kids be kids.

00:26:43.840 And, you know, it's really I don't think most Democrat voters or regular people who consider themselves Democrats would support this.

00:26:51.740 But we've got to stand up.

00:26:53.140 Like you said, the Democrats need to stand up against this nonsense.

00:26:56.320 But then the Democrats, wait a minute, look, I know you're you're American and you believe, you know, I got to be honest with you.

00:27:05.940 The Democrats are not Democrats.

00:27:07.880 They're Marxists.

00:27:09.220 They are not responsible American citizens.

00:27:12.800 They are trying to destroy, destroy this country.

00:27:17.540 And there is no doubt about it.

00:27:19.400 Luke, I know that you live near Washington and that, you know, you've got to work with these people.

00:27:25.460 Well, I live out on a farm in an undisclosed location, and I want to tell you the hell with the Democratic Party, because they put Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in the White House.

00:27:36.680 And I have never seen two more inept and competent people in my life in government service of any kind, let alone the two top jobs in America.

00:27:48.380 We have our entire nation at risk because of the Democratic Party, its actions and its lack of principle.

00:27:57.660 I won't even get into the election of 2020.

00:28:00.780 I won't get into any number of issues.

00:28:02.760 But let me say, until the Democrats can act like responsible citizens of this great country instead of confused and lazy citizens of the world who are just waiting to work for either Xi Jinping or Vladimir Putin, I say the hell with them.

00:28:21.900 They're still globalists.

00:28:23.040 And we're now hearing about something called supply side, supply disruptions, supply chain disruptions.

00:28:30.600 Luke, they're a problem.

00:28:33.060 They are running this country.

00:28:34.580 They they lead their mayors of the top 20 cities.

00:28:39.060 They have both houses of our legislature.

00:28:43.280 They run the White House.

00:28:44.920 They have the courts that the list goes on.

00:28:48.380 This is a democratically led country, and they're screwing it up every day for hundreds of millions of people.

00:28:56.160 I do not approve.

00:28:57.940 Of course.

00:28:58.700 And that's the thing is that there are traditional people who like voted for Bill Clinton, you know, back in the day who still think it's the same Democratic Party of that age.

00:29:07.440 And it's not what's going on in the schools is a fringe failed idea.

00:29:12.740 You know, most of this equity stuff comes from Seattle and Minneapolis, and it hasn't worked there.

00:29:19.020 They've been doing it for 20 years.

00:29:20.320 And in Minneapolis, they're burning down their own city because they think it's so racist.

00:29:24.220 In Seattle, the race and also because they thought it'd help win the election in 2020.

00:29:29.740 And in Seattle, you know, the racial disparities are among the worst in the country.

00:29:34.060 So we know that progressive policies don't work.

00:29:36.600 The problem is actually even in conservative places now, they've started to mimic these failed policies.

00:29:43.560 And so even like the Indiana State Board of Education, it has this thing called social justice standards that they get from the Southern Poverty Law Center.

00:29:52.180 And let's go back to what you started with.

00:29:54.320 You and your friends, the Democrats.

00:29:57.520 Do we really have to have Democratic friends?

00:30:00.680 Do we really?

00:30:01.940 Because they're trying to kill us, Luke.

00:30:04.820 They're trying to kill us.

00:30:06.600 Yeah, no.

00:30:07.100 So where I live in Virginia, essentially no one agreed with the school shutdowns.

00:30:11.800 It was evil what they did to the kids.

00:30:13.200 And there were some former Democrats who went over and voted for Glenn Young kid.

00:30:17.760 And then there were others who just wanted to complain about it and admit that the policies were bad.

00:30:22.540 But at the end of the day, they hated Trump more than they loved their own kids.

00:30:25.920 My God.

00:30:28.100 Which is it tells you the levels of the Trump derangement syndrome. 1.00

00:30:31.900 But it tells me the level of the IQ of these idiots to make up the left. 1.00

00:30:37.100 That's all that tells me. 1.00

00:30:38.600 I mean, here's a president who all he did was make promises on the campaign trail in 2015 and 16 and did the unthinkable.

00:30:48.380 We had a president who actually kept his promises to the American people.

00:30:54.140 And he favors, by the way, working men and women, our middle class families and everyone who aspires to it and small business.

00:31:02.000 Those are his peeps.

00:31:03.940 They're forgotten Americans.

00:31:05.220 And that was his offense because the global elitist establishment pencil neck buttercups are running the country. 1.00

00:31:16.680 Yeah, that's right.

00:31:17.360 And I think we're seeing a similar almost populist style revival because of schools where a lot of people who in the past were not politically engaged had no choice but to get involved because what they because they were coming for their kids.

00:31:29.680 They understood that bad people were trying to take their kids from that.

00:31:33.640 And so it's been amazing to see parents become the country's newest special interest group and start showing up at these school board meetings.

00:31:40.260 And by the way, you broke the Loudoun County story.

00:31:45.340 Tell us how that came to be, by the way, if you would.

00:31:49.300 Well, I knew I have several stories about Loudoun, really crazy stuff in this book.

00:31:53.400 I was familiar with it from researching the book, and I saw the man being arrested the same way everyone else did on TV, where there's a school board meeting about transgender and a dad is angry there and the cops beat him up.

00:32:05.260 And you see this picture where he's handcuffed with a bloody face being dragged wet.

00:32:09.400 And so they put him on CNN.

00:32:10.840 They put him everywhere, you know, bigot, arrested for being probably transphobic at this school board meeting.

00:32:16.700 What no one did is ask this dude, like, why were you mad?

00:32:19.740 And so I just called him up and I said, hey, I understand.

00:32:23.500 I saw that you were clearly worked up at the school board meeting.

00:32:26.680 What was the deal? 0.98

00:32:27.640 And he said, Luke, my daughter was raped three weeks prior in school, in a school bathroom by a transgender person. 0.94

00:32:35.160 And the superintendent at that meeting had just told everybody, because the meeting was about trying to push this transgender policy. 0.95

00:32:42.800 He lectured all the parents and said, you're bigots if you're concerned about some safety issue.

00:32:47.940 We've never had any any assault of any type in our bathrooms.

00:32:52.340 And so he lied.

00:32:53.720 And then they arrested the victim of the rape, the father of the rape victim.

00:32:58.020 And they wanted to put him in jail.

00:33:00.120 And this is for disorderly conduct.

00:33:02.340 You have the Soros funded D.A. who doesn't think anyone should go to prison.

00:33:05.560 Actual child abusers should not go to prison.

00:33:07.880 But then they wanted to put this guy across the country, by the way, not just Loudoun County, but county after county, major metropolitan senators centers.

00:33:17.660 You're exactly right.

00:33:19.020 So they don't have any actual principles.

00:33:20.900 I mean, they're they're perfectly OK with mass incarceration.

00:33:23.140 If they can put conservatives or parents who are challenging the teachers unions in prison, they'll do it.

00:33:29.320 And so let me guess.

00:33:31.500 This fellow was white.

00:33:32.740 OK, yeah.

00:33:33.380 He was a blue collar plumber, white guy. 0.97

00:33:36.560 And, you know, basically they just tried to put him in prison when his daughter was raped. 0.94

00:33:41.360 And, you know, the rapist didn't go to prison.

00:33:43.280 The rapist was convicted.

00:33:44.720 This man was telling the truth. 0.99

00:33:46.660 His daughter was raped by a transgender, by a person wearing a skirt and a blouse in the schools. 0.99

00:33:50.660 But the schools repeatedly lied about it. 0.96

00:33:53.400 And so I knew to look for that kind of style.

00:33:56.240 And that's kind of what this book is, what I did in Loudoun, I do for 61 different school districts in this.

00:34:01.700 And I understand the patterns.

00:34:04.560 And that's my goal is for readers to be able to understand because I can't come to every school district and bust these things open.

00:34:11.300 But I can assure you that it's going on in every school district.

00:34:14.280 Even if you live in a rural place like Indiana or a red state, they have infiltrated every nook and cranny.

00:34:21.440 And so we have got to one of the things that I try to do in this book is through all these stories of corruption and fraud and lying and harming kids is help people understand all that jargon that you mentioned.

00:34:34.080 You go to these school board meetings and they try to trick you and confuse you with their fancy like lingo.

00:34:39.460 And it's an alphabet soup of, you know, acronyms. 0.99

00:34:42.340 Of crap. 1.00

00:34:43.540 Yeah, it is crap. 1.00

00:34:44.800 And so I took the time and I worked with Peter Schweitzer on this book. 0.98

00:34:48.340 He really helped me out with investigative resources and research help.

00:34:51.860 And so he's the best researcher ever.

00:34:53.560 You know, he did Clinton cash.

00:34:54.940 And so we read a great American and one of our greatest.

00:34:59.040 And I'm talking about all history.

00:35:00.580 One of our greatest investigative reporters, Peter.

00:35:03.740 Yeah, he's awesome.

00:35:04.700 And so we read all the papers.

00:35:06.140 We read all the CRT stuff, all the education stuff that the teachers read.

00:35:09.700 I understand all the acronyms, but you saved everybody a lot of time, Lou.

00:35:13.760 You summarized it pretty well. 0.99

00:35:15.280 It's all crap. 0.99

00:35:17.460 It's not that I'm not aware because they love to say, well, you just don't understand it. 1.00

00:35:20.640 You don't even know what CRT is. 1.00

00:35:21.980 Oh, I know what it is, but it's all crap. 0.92

00:35:24.220 But what this book does is explain it in a way that once you that you can go to these 0.99

00:35:28.980 school board meetings and they're going to mumble a bunch of complicated sounding crap 0.96

00:35:33.260 to you, and you're going to be able to turn around on them and shove it down their throat 0.94

00:35:36.660 and just embarrass them in front of everybody, because these are empty ideas pushed by low

00:35:42.380 IQ people who created this artificial barrier of fake complexity to keep parents out. 0.96

00:35:49.280 But we're woken up now, and it's not just parents, by the way, some parents fear that

00:35:53.760 they're going to be retaliated against, which I don't know if that's, you know, whatever,

00:35:57.580 right, right or wrong.

00:35:58.980 What I want to mention is grandparents can go to these meetings, too.

00:36:01.780 And guess what?

00:36:02.280 They can't do anything to you.

00:36:03.600 You're out of school.

00:36:04.660 Your kids aren't in school.

00:36:05.680 You can say whatever you want to these people, and they can't do a thing about it, because

00:36:09.220 if you're a taxpayer, whether you're a grandparent or parent or you don't have kids at

00:36:13.080 all, these schools belong to you.

00:36:14.780 And we should be going to the school board meetings and getting in their faces.

00:36:17.460 Well, that's exactly what Deb and I are going to be doing a lot up.

00:36:21.160 We're going to be at the city council meetings.

00:36:23.060 We're going to be at the school board meetings.

00:36:24.980 We're going to go to a few zoning meetings.

00:36:26.700 We're going to do it.

00:36:27.460 We're going to kind of drift in and out and around our municipal government, our county

00:36:31.420 government, and say hi to everybody.

00:36:34.240 And you know what?

00:36:35.840 Because I'm asking every American, every American to get involved in this election, to get involved

00:36:43.780 at their local level.

00:36:45.240 Don't worry about the United Nations.

00:36:47.060 We've got people to take care of that.

00:36:49.360 But let's all, all citizens of this country, get to those school board meetings, get to

00:36:55.280 our city council meetings, and take control of our lives, where we can have the greatest

00:36:59.720 influence on policy is the last place most of us go for our politics.

00:37:04.980 And we need to reverse that now and make sure that we are moving this country back in the

00:37:11.540 right direction and that we're once again, a country of destiny rather than bogged down

00:37:17.360 and nonsense.

00:37:18.140 I mean, you're exactly right.

00:37:20.400 That's what inspired me to write this book.

00:37:22.140 And I actually was, you know, a national reporter and I kind of left that all behind.

00:37:25.320 And I said, I made a big mistake here.

00:37:27.060 Local is what matters.

00:37:28.220 That's what impacts people's lives.

00:37:30.080 We all have our opinion about the president and things like that.

00:37:32.340 But where we can make a difference is local.

00:37:34.060 And there were some really bad, essentially communists who had taken over and it's coordinated

00:37:39.940 at the national level, but they have decided to take over local government.

00:37:43.860 While we're all distracted looking one way, which is national, they've come creeping in

00:37:48.540 the back door and taken over our local government.

00:37:52.500 And that's kind of one of the things that I expose in this book, but it really is the most

00:37:55.860 important.

00:37:56.340 It's those prosecutors, it's education and zoning matters too.

00:37:59.720 They could be coming for your farm.

00:38:00.980 They could be trying to build high rises everywhere and demolish the suburbs because the suburbs

00:38:05.300 are racist. 0.84

00:38:06.140 So local politics matter.

00:38:08.200 We can make a difference.

00:38:09.840 I think that's one of the things that the pandemic, they tried to shut down schools and

00:38:14.720 do all this stuff, but they really overplayed their hand.

00:38:16.520 We're woken up now.

00:38:17.740 We've got to keep showing up to all these local county and city and town political stuff.

00:38:25.300 Good for you.

00:38:26.000 Look, you've done the country a great service.

00:38:29.160 You know, God bless you.

00:38:31.440 And I'm talking with Luke Rosiak, the author of Race to the Bottom, Uncovering the Secret

00:38:37.060 Forces Destroying American Public Education.

00:38:40.580 And we recommend the book to you highly.

00:38:44.940 Please, please go out and buy the book.

00:38:48.720 It's just too important not to.

00:38:50.860 I want to go back to something else because you were talking about, we mentioned briefly

00:38:56.500 Disney, Disney and the transgender controversy.

00:39:02.760 I guess we can call it a transgender controversy in Florida. 0.98

00:39:08.580 It's really a question of who controls the schools.

00:39:12.300 The woke Marxist left managed to brand it in their complicit left-wing corporate media as

00:39:21.220 don't say gay, which I thought was an interesting piece of propaganda and messaging because it 1.00

00:39:27.400 doesn't say gay anywhere.

00:39:28.900 It doesn't say don't say gay. 1.00

00:39:31.620 It is in point of fact about parental rights and not having five to nine-year-olds exposed

00:39:38.420 to sex education, basically.

00:39:40.800 Is that not right?

00:39:42.460 And that's why they have to lie about it because when you tell the truth about it, it's something

00:39:46.380 that literally every person except probably pedophiles would agree with. 0.82

00:39:50.360 Don't talk about sex with other people's kindergartners. 0.97

00:39:53.860 But they lie all the time.

00:39:56.420 It didn't surprise me at all because the education, the rhetoric around education has been so dishonest

00:40:01.000 for decades.

00:40:02.140 They've counted on people not actually looking into it enough to check the facts.

00:40:05.620 But, you know, you have the PTA, for example, is I want to mention that because some people

00:40:12.100 think, well, I go to a PTA meeting, so I'm an involved parent.

00:40:15.300 The PTA is captured by this too.

00:40:17.600 Why is there a T in there?

00:40:19.200 Why is there a teacher in the?

00:40:20.660 We need a parents association because what they're doing. 1.00

00:40:23.760 I had never thought of that.

00:40:25.560 And I want to credit you for that.

00:40:28.020 I had never thought about why PTA.

00:40:30.840 I think we should have a sense of insisting that the teachers and the principals and the

00:40:38.040 superintendents understand their obligation to those students and to the parents.

00:40:43.620 And by God, they better not try to separate parents from their children.

00:40:47.380 They better be listening to parents.

00:40:49.320 And we should, as parents and grandparents, be making certain in our local school systems

00:40:55.160 that they are paying attention to the community, period.

00:40:58.560 I mean, and some of these teachers are actually in Florida saying they're going to quit if

00:41:03.480 they pass this bill.

00:41:04.540 So it's not just like, it's not just secondary that they want to talk about your kid to your

00:41:09.900 kindergartner about sex.

00:41:11.260 It's like their main function of being in the job.

00:41:13.800 If they're like, if I can't talk to kindergartners about sex, then why am I even here?

00:41:17.660 They're literally saying they're going to quit.

00:41:19.640 So the teacher, I mean, and then they have the, yeah, the PTA is basically saying, what's

00:41:25.980 your role as a parent?

00:41:27.140 It's conditioning you that your job as a parent is to go into the kitchen and make some cookies

00:41:31.640 for a bake sale and then sell them and give the teachers money.

00:41:35.120 Like your role as a parent is not to go into the kitchen and bake snacks.

00:41:39.100 I mean, our role as parents is we have our own interests, which are very much different

00:41:44.540 from the teacher's union interests.

00:41:47.480 But what they're doing is, yeah, I mean, there is a constellation of nefarious activists coming

00:41:53.960 for our kids.

00:41:55.220 And if we don't fight back now, we really don't have much time to spare because you look at

00:42:02.200 these stats about like the 12th graders.

00:42:04.340 I mean, these are like 18 year olds who are going to be voting now, by the way, um, the

00:42:09.440 number of kids who can almost know, like high schoolers can pass the citizenship test for

00:42:15.760 America.

00:42:16.340 And, you know, most of the immigrants that come over here can actually pass the test.

00:42:19.740 Our own American kids can't pass it.

00:42:21.920 The older generation, they can all pass it, but the younger ones can't.

00:42:25.620 Um, and so basically how are we going to have a country in 10 years?

00:42:30.100 Some of these kids are like 18 years old right now.

00:42:32.180 They're going to be voting.

00:42:32.980 And they're going to be working in just a couple of years.

00:42:35.240 And so this is like a very effective way to take over and destroy the country, uh, by

00:42:41.180 coming for, for their kids.

00:42:42.840 But the good news is we severely outnumber them.

00:42:45.600 We dramatically outnumber them.

00:42:47.000 We're talking about a small amount of ideologues who are paid by these activist groups or to

00:42:51.240 work in the schools versus essentially everyone who's ever procreated all of us, parents, there's

00:42:56.420 a ton of us.

00:42:57.480 And now that we're woken up, um, they have a headstart because they're paid there.

00:43:02.000 They're in these schools where we're busy.

00:43:04.200 We're working, we're working our normal jobs and raising our kids.

00:43:07.980 And we've got to have time to then go to these school board meetings and get in the face of

00:43:11.480 the superintendent and things like that.

00:43:12.740 So it's hard, but we outnumber them.

00:43:15.100 And once we're woken up, I think now that we're woken up, I think they're kind of running

00:43:19.480 scared.

00:43:20.200 Um, so I'm kind of optimistic about this.

00:43:22.900 Uh, it's just going to take a lot of hard work and it takes a certain level of skepticism

00:43:26.980 because people don't want to believe that it's in their schools and they don't want

00:43:31.780 to believe that the principal there is lying to them, but you have to be incredibly skeptical.

00:43:37.080 You've got to verify everything they say.

00:43:39.340 You've got to be on the, on the lookout for them playing these word games.

00:43:43.400 Um, and it is kind of funny.

00:43:45.060 Everyone thinks, you know, cause I've done so much on broken, all these Loudoun County

00:43:48.920 schools.

00:43:49.320 Some people think the, the story, some of the people think the, the takeaway is that Virginia

00:43:53.860 schools are bad, the school, the schools are captured everywhere.

00:43:58.060 It's kind of like this thing where when you look at opinion polls, people of course think

00:44:02.640 Congress is very bad, but a lot of people think their own congressman is good.

00:44:07.020 Um, which doesn't make much sense.

00:44:08.640 And it's the same thing with school.

00:44:09.980 The latter part of that.

00:44:14.580 It's the people think, oh yeah, that we have a lot of problems in schools in this country,

00:44:17.740 but it's not my school.

00:44:18.960 It is your school.

00:44:20.280 You've got to get involved.

00:44:21.580 And that's the thing about local governments.

00:44:23.120 You can't count on someone else.

00:44:24.740 I mean, I can't come to your, every school district, there's 13,000 school districts.

00:44:28.520 I can't come to yours.

00:44:29.540 Chris Rufo can't, you know, James Lindsay can't, there's a number of people have been

00:44:33.500 really doing good work at the, at the national level on all these schools.

00:44:37.120 But at the end of the day, the parents have got to take responsibility because we can't

00:44:42.120 count on someone else to, to, to save you.

00:44:44.480 We've got to save ourselves.

00:44:45.820 You're exactly right.

00:44:46.800 And you have laid out a great treatise in race to the bottom, uh, uncovering the secret

00:44:53.000 forces, destroying American public education.

00:44:55.740 Uh, Luke Rosiak, uh, you're a, you're a great American.

00:44:59.860 You've done the country, a great service.

00:45:02.200 And I just, I just have to say, it's a fight that we all folks, we've all got to have this

00:45:08.460 fight.

00:45:08.740 I know you made it, you know, Luke says he'll talk to a Democrat.

00:45:13.240 Okay.

00:45:13.580 I get that, but don't talk too long to a Democrat, you know, let's, let's understand there is

00:45:20.260 no question whatsoever.

00:45:21.960 The democratic party is trying to destroy this nation and they're, and they're doing

00:45:26.620 an awfully good job of it.

00:45:28.540 Uh, and we've got to, in November, make certain that we've got to start now.

00:45:33.260 If we're going to have integrity in this electoral system, we've got to start now.

00:45:36.860 So get down to your, uh, your election office, get down to your city council, get down, uh,

00:45:42.640 to, uh, to your local government and get engaged and involved and volunteer, uh, especially

00:45:49.240 to be poll watchers, to work on this election because, and don't let anybody push you away

00:45:55.300 from that, uh, that opportunity to volunteer.

00:45:58.920 Uh, it's just too important.

00:46:00.960 Luke, you, you have, as I said, written a book, you well know it's, uh, it's extremely

00:46:06.620 important.

00:46:07.300 I just want to underline again, it is a fight folks worth having.

00:46:11.820 Um, this has to be as Americans are red line. 0.99

00:46:16.020 And when, when they trespass on our kids, that's when it ends, uh, we've got to take

00:46:21.960 it back.

00:46:22.480 And you are under no obligation to be bipartisan, nonpartisan, be partisan as you possibly can

00:46:29.480 be because the other side means to destroy this great nation without question.

00:46:35.220 Luke, we thank you for your handbook.

00:46:37.080 It's always, uh, this, uh, handbook on patriotism and saving the children.

00:46:42.160 Uh, I love the title race to the bottom.

00:46:45.220 It's our, uh, it's our convention here to always give our guests the very last word.

00:46:50.540 And this is your, uh, uh, opportunity for a few concluding thoughts, if you will.

00:46:55.480 Well, thank you so much, Lou.

00:46:57.680 You have a, uh, such a adept way of, uh, seeing through all, all of this.

00:47:02.420 And that's exactly right.

00:47:03.600 I mean, we just need to show up for these school board meetings with courage and confidence.

00:47:07.560 I've tried to explain why in this book.

00:47:09.820 I mean, you get the courage, but because these, these people are truly trying to take your

00:47:13.580 kids from you.

00:47:14.320 You get the confidence because I'm going to explain to you like exactly how you can counteract

00:47:19.600 what these people are saying, because it's all nonsense.

00:47:21.960 Once you see it, um, we've got to fight for, um, merit and objectivity is real.

00:47:28.200 They're basically putting conspiracy theories that objectivity doesn't exist, but, um, it

00:47:33.920 is absolutely, as you said, it is worth fighting for.

00:47:36.320 These are, these are our children.

00:47:37.640 They're your children.

00:47:38.420 And, um, you know, if we don't fight back now, uh, then I don't, I don't know what now

00:47:44.600 is the time because we don't have too much time to spare, but, but we can do it.

00:47:48.280 Uh, as you suggested, I am fully skeptical of the educational authorities and I am moderately

00:47:55.560 optimistic.

00:47:56.520 I'll put it that way.

00:47:58.380 Luke Rosiak.

00:47:59.340 Thanks for being with us.

00:48:00.360 And again, race to the bottom, uncovering the secret forces, destroying American public education.

00:48:06.480 Luke, God bless you.
