The John-Henry Westen Show - BREAKING： John-Henry Westen PERMANENTLY BANNED from YouTube

00:00:00.000 You have a totalitarian state that controls not only systems of government, but can reach into

00:00:06.200 your personal social media accounts and your personal bank accounts. And that if you are

00:00:11.020 not conforming with what you are supposed to be doing, that this can affect your life in

00:00:16.140 very, very minute ways and across the board.

00:00:20.260 Well, YouTube has done it again. This time, actually, they've gone after my channel specifically.

00:00:33.380 Now, it's very odd. You remember in 2021, YouTube canceled LifeSite completely from our YouTube

00:00:39.500 channel there. Over the next two years, we built up my own personal page channel, the John

00:00:45.380 Henry Weston Show channel, to about half the number of subscribers that we had back then.

00:00:51.140 It was a lot of work over two years. We got to about 157,000 subscribers on the new channel,

00:00:56.580 the John Henry Weston Show channel. This time, they did something very strange. They changed

00:01:01.720 it up rather than canceling us for medical misinformation, all of which now is true, by

00:01:06.440 the way, because COVID has evolved and now everybody seems to know now as fact, which

00:01:11.620 we said back then, which was then medical misinformation. But lo and behold, nonetheless,

00:01:17.960 but now they've changed it up and they canceled us for hate. Now they have a new hate policy.

00:01:24.820 We're going to get into that. We've got with us today, Ashley Sadler, a LifeSite News reporter

00:01:28.940 who is covering this at LifeSiteNews.com. And we're going to explore the details of this case.

00:01:34.860 And it's incredible. It has a lot of ramifications, not only for, you know, finding the information

00:01:42.000 you need on LifeSite or on the LifeSite YouTube channel, but also for you personally. This is

00:01:47.560 the John Henry Weston Show. Stay tuned.

00:01:51.420 Hey there, friends. I just wanted to tell you about something in case you didn't already know

00:01:55.480 it. LifeSite is in partnership with a group called St. Joseph's Partners, because in today's

00:02:00.400 day and age where things are getting more and more strange out there, we want to be sure

00:02:05.260 that, you know, we have some reserves of gold and silver so that if debanking happens, which

00:02:11.840 has happened before and seems to have gone on with the truckers and everything else, that

00:02:16.620 we at least have some backup. And so there's been a lot of investing in gold and silver.

00:02:21.440 We wanted to find a company, though, that we could trust with our investments like that.

00:02:26.120 And St. Joseph's Partners is such a company. Obviously, by their name, you know that they're

00:02:30.920 Catholics and we know that they're very, very faithful. Indeed, you can go check out the

00:02:34.580 shows I did with Drew Mason, who is the founder of St. Joseph's Partners. But also, I wanted

00:02:39.740 to tell you about a neat little project we did. And this is really for both support of LifeSite

00:02:45.820 News, but also for gifts for those people who sort of have everything and you wonder what

00:02:50.860 you can get for them. Well, we minted a coin, a silver coin, and it's a one ounce silver round,

00:02:59.120 they call it. It has LifeSite on the front for our 25 year anniversary that we're celebrating.

00:03:04.140 But also on the back, it commemorates the overturning of Roe v. Wade with the Dobbs decision. So it's

00:03:11.520 a collector item coin and encourage you to grab one for yourself. Grab one as a gift for that

00:03:17.720 person who seems to have everything else. They might like it very much. And please support us

00:03:21.980 at LifeSite News by getting our coin. We've just printed under 10,000 of them. So it's a collector

00:03:28.720 item, a limited edition. God bless you and thank you. Ashley Sadler, thanks for being with us.

00:03:35.200 Thank you so much for having me.

00:03:37.240 Let's begin as we always do with the Son of the Cross. In the name of the Father,

00:03:40.300 Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen. So let me start by wishing you and all of our

00:03:47.940 guests or all of our viewers a very happy and holy Easter.

00:03:51.420 Very happy Easter to you too.

00:03:54.040 So over Holy Week, over the weekend, in fact, right over Easter weekend,

00:03:59.360 happened this unbelievable thing. It was Holy Thursday night, believe it or not.

00:04:03.340 YouTube deleted LifeSite. It deleted the John Henry Weston show channel. And you know,

00:04:12.140 something's very strange. They actually deleted my own personal YouTube access as well. I can't go

00:04:18.800 onto YouTube and watch videos because it says, you know, there's a problem. If I go incognito or if I

00:04:26.640 go under a different name, oh, then it's all fine. This is crazy. Obviously, this is something that

00:04:32.360 LifeSite has seen in the past. We've dealt with this on numerous social media platforms like many

00:04:38.320 conservative outlets have. But to see this taken in a more targeted, more personal way is I think

00:04:46.940 something that's not necessarily entirely unique. This is something that's part of a trend that's

00:04:53.880 happening, but it's definitely concerning for us and for anybody else who has views and opinions that

00:04:59.760 run afoul of the prevailing narrative of big tech and the rest of the establishment.

00:05:05.760 It's an amazing thing. My concern is that it's very, very personal. It reminds me of the debanking.

00:05:12.520 Now, in the U.S., yes, Trump was debanked. But some of the January 6 folks, just like in Canada,

00:05:18.600 with the frozen accounts of some of the folks who were involved with the truckers and the movement

00:05:24.840 for freedom here in Canada, accounts were frozen. Individual banking accounts were frozen. Oh, no,

00:05:30.840 we didn't take any money from you. We're just frozen your account. You have no access to your

00:05:34.040 money, but oh, well, whatever. This kind of very personal targeting is happening. And it's very,

00:05:40.960 very alarming.

00:05:41.880 It is. And it makes me so grateful that we live in such a free country, unlike the Chinese Communist 1.00

00:05:47.620 Party that does this sort of thing. And that is, I think, where a lot of people see this heading,

00:05:53.420 where you have a totalitarian state that controls not only systems of government, but can reach into

00:06:00.500 your personal social media accounts and your personal bank accounts. And that if you are not

00:06:05.840 conforming with what you are supposed to be doing, that this can affect your life in very, very minute

00:06:12.300 ways and across the board. And the more that we head toward more uniform, more centralized systems

00:06:21.280 where everything is connected from your phone, from your internet profiles, I think the more

00:06:26.500 dangerous that obviously becomes. Let's get to some specifics here. This is a new thing for YouTube.

00:06:34.440 It's no longer the medical misinformation, which they, you know, that's what they canceled us before in

00:06:39.380 2021. There's a new charge this time of hate. What's that all about?

00:06:45.240 We seem to be living in a world where words mean the opposite of what they actually mean. And so when

00:06:51.160 you express a view that I think what LifeSite does very well is that we're expressing views about what

00:06:58.420 the church teaches and has always taught and teaches for the good and the flourishing of individual

00:07:05.300 people. And so when the church teaches that certain behaviors or certain ideologies are wrong,

00:07:11.220 it's doing that because it's leading people toward the fullness of the truth. And only there will we

00:07:16.280 find true peace and joy. And so when you express a view, and I think you can go into more detail about

00:07:22.380 what this particular charge was about. And it was talking about a movie and the certain ideology that

00:07:27.960 it was promoting. And we were pointing that YouTube has decided, no, that's hateful to teach people the truth.

00:07:34.080 That's hateful to, you know, tell people what's going to be, you know, for their betterment and

00:07:39.240 flourishing.

00:07:40.000 It's amazing. The YouTube policy itself, I encourage people to go look it up because it very specifically

00:07:45.620 says that their policy determines that hatred and violence toward these certain groups is not

00:07:53.900 permitted. And then it gives you the list. And on that list, you'll see sexual orientation

00:07:57.660 and then gender expression, I believe it is. But it's very, very interesting that they're banning

00:08:04.600 this based on hatred and violence. Well, first of all, obviously, there was nothing to do with

00:08:09.340 violence. I encourage you to go watch the video. You can find it still at LifeSite News's own video

00:08:16.060 server. If you go to LifeSiteNews.com slash video, you will find all of our videos uncensored. In fact,

00:08:22.780 even the older ones, we're working on getting up there right now. And that's an arduous task,

00:08:27.520 let me tell you. But LifeSiteNews.com slash video, all LifeSite News videos, John Henry Weston show,

00:08:33.380 Faith and Reason, the Jonathan Van Maron show, LSN TV with Jim Hale, all of that is there. It won't be

00:08:41.560 taken off, God willing. And we have our own video server, which we built. But it's all there to go look

00:08:47.000 at. And the one video in question, the one we were given the first strike for, was this video on the

00:08:52.620 movie, the very now famous movie, unfortunately, Everything Everywhere All at Once. And it's a, you

00:08:59.180 know, it looked to me like a martial arts film, which I happen to like. But it was when you watched

00:09:06.140 it, first of all, it was disgustingly filthy. But it was an attack on the Catholic Church in a very 0.98

00:09:12.360 severe way, going even for the Eucharist. But part of it, and I guess the main push of the film,

00:09:19.900 was to show the need for an acceptance of same-sex relationships. And so I took this up on the show

00:09:27.480 in exactly the same way we always take it up. It's the approach of the Catholic Church. It's to

00:09:32.580 love the sinner and hate the sin. It was all about, in fact, I said specifically and explicitly, 0.86

00:09:39.440 how, you know, our approach at LifeSite is about loving these individuals enough to tell them that

00:09:45.840 these behaviors that they're involved in, in these relationships, they're harmful. They're harmful

00:09:51.660 to their bodies because, you know, you can go and look up all the studies that show how, you know,

00:09:56.420 these kinds of sexual relations are harmful. But then ultimately, they're harmful for the soul.

00:10:01.980 And we as Catholics, as Christians, want to see everyone with God in heaven. And so it's a very loving

00:10:06.980 approach. Yet that is specifically what YouTube, YouTube deems as hatred and or violence. I don't

00:10:14.760 know which. Apparently all of the above, I think. And it also seems like many times words are given

00:10:23.720 the weight of physical action, of violence per se, when actual actions are maybe overlooked. And I think

00:10:31.660 we saw that very clearly just recently in an instance where a few days before Easter, you have

00:10:39.540 a transgender identifying person who goes in and in an attack that the police said was targeted. They

00:10:47.280 haven't released the manifesto, but they have given some hints that this person's ideology and their

00:10:52.980 identification had something to do with their decision to go into a private Christian elementary

00:10:58.960 school and commit horrifying act of violence against Christians, three children, nine years

00:11:05.600 old, and three staff members. And I think the world and the United States watched in, you know,

00:11:14.920 kind of horror at the way that the establishment treated this or didn't, the way that they ignored

00:11:19.840 it, the way that the mainstream media stumbled all over themselves to make sure they got the killer's

00:11:24.560 pronouns correct. And, and completely ignored the fact that this is something where a violent

00:11:31.080 ideology with aggressive rhetoric that, that appears to firmly believe that anyone that does not agree

00:11:40.640 with them is somehow committing genocide against them by their words and beliefs. And they're therefore

00:11:46.140 justified to commit actual violence, actual murder. And the response from our leadership,

00:11:53.680 the response from the White House was, we stand with transgender people. And they did not want to, 0.99

00:11:59.300 they did not want to speak about the fact whatsoever about who was targeted in this attack. And so you have

00:12:06.580 this complete imbalance in what do you mean when you say hate? What do you mean when you say violence? And more

00:12:13.140 often than not, what they're talking about is, you know, hatred is loving language directed to people who we want to

00:12:21.100 see on the path to salvation. And violence is speaking about this. And, and real hatred and violence are

00:12:28.440 swept under the rug. It's, it's pretty astonishing.

00:12:32.120 It is indeed. We've seen this so much of late. And it almost seems surreal. I think back to the news videos

00:12:41.000 with the BLM protests and the Indiva protests saying, looks pretty peaceful while there's burning buildings

00:12:47.740 in the background. It truly seems like we're living in a dystopian reality.

00:12:53.520 One of my favorite anonymous accounts on Twitter is clown world. And just pointing out all the instances

00:12:59.740 in which we appear to be living in a world of funhouse mirrors, where everything that's true is

00:13:05.940 considered false and everything is up is down. And this is another example of this, but I think

00:13:11.540 to your point as well, that, that this is targeted, that this is personal. And this seems to be really

00:13:18.360 where we're seeing things head politically. And it is pretty disturbing to see, you know, we broke the

00:13:24.700 story about Mark Houck, the pro-life dad who was raided by the FBI at his home in front of his children.

00:13:30.680 And it was a minor, it was a minor incident that this was all a trumped up charge. And this was

00:13:38.740 thrown out of court. Nobody wanted to prosecute this. And, and yet you see an individual targeted

00:13:43.520 and made an example of, and the message was pretty clear. Don't go outside abortion clinics. Don't

00:13:49.000 protest because we're watching you. We'll come after you. We'll come after your family. We'll ruin your

00:13:53.080 life. And that's something that I think we have to take seriously as conservatives and push back.

00:13:58.940 Because if we, if we accept it, or if we try to ignore it, it's just going to keep going this way.

00:14:04.340 But I think we have the political might, we have the, we have the numbers on our side. We're not

00:14:09.140 crazy, even as much as they like to convince us that we are just for being normal. And that it's

00:14:14.260 important to make an example of them when they try to make an example of us and, and really push

00:14:20.080 back and, and assert, no, these are our right. This is our right to say these sorts of things. And, and it's

00:14:25.620 good to say these sorts of things. We need to do this. We need to fight right now for all the rights

00:14:31.300 that we've enjoyed for so very long without really thinking much about the sacrifices that went into

00:14:37.840 garnering those rights for us, but also without having to defend them very much, even as they've

00:14:43.360 been slowly eroded. But now we see that erosion, uh, that's just basically being eliminated. And so it's,

00:14:50.620 the rights are being taken from us and we've got to stand up and fight now.

00:14:54.780 Let me encourage people, lifestatenews.com has its own video server. If you've got videos that

00:15:01.260 you're putting out, you've got to do something similar so that you are protected. If you go to

00:15:06.860 lifestatenews.com slash video, all our videos are there. We need to get onto certain social media

00:15:14.560 channels and start using them. The ones that aren't going to cancel us because I know

00:15:20.380 so many people are reliant on YouTube are reliant on Facebook are reliant on Twitter. Well,

00:15:27.980 Twitter maybe is the exception right now, but Facebook and YouTube and Google, they are canceling

00:15:34.120 you. They've canceled LifeSite already for years, but they're coming after you specifically. And they

00:15:40.120 know everything about you because they're watching you as you're watching them. So it really is time

00:15:48.280 to divest ourselves of these things. But sure, you can continue to use them knowing that you're

00:15:55.040 being tracked and knowing that at any moment you can be deleted from there. So make yourself a place

00:16:02.420 where you still have access. Make sure you go to lifestatenews.com slash video and bookmark that

00:16:07.780 page. Come see us there. If you're seeing us elsewhere, you're not doing it right. You've got to go direct

00:16:13.260 and you've got to make for yourself a sustainable plan so that when they come after you specifically,

00:16:20.860 you have backup for yourself. That's why we've been talking about, you know, even in your banking

00:16:27.520 system, we alluded earlier to this debanking that's been going on. That's very, very personal.

00:16:33.520 And, you know, that's why we've suggested to people that they have diversified their own,

00:16:40.280 you know, funds. They have some food protection. They have some investments in gold, not the kind

00:16:45.840 that you invest in IRS or something, in the kind that you actually hold. So these are trying times.

00:16:52.580 We need to stand up and we need to protect ourselves.

00:16:56.640 Absolutely. And I think that it's important and good to use the social media platforms

00:17:00.600 that are out there for as long as you can. And maybe the fact that just like with us that we

00:17:07.720 get canceled, but we've been able to reach people through those platforms and they can follow us.

00:17:13.720 They can come to our site and they can see what we're doing here and also recognize what's been

00:17:18.560 happening on these social media platforms that they're not on our side. But I think it's important

00:17:22.740 to use the public square and try to reach out to people in that way for as long as we can.

00:17:27.440 But like you said, we need to have a contingency plan as well. And a little bit of that, you know,

00:17:33.720 as Rod Dreyer put it with the Benedict option, we need to be able to have our own communities that we

00:17:39.480 can bring people into and have like-minded people where we have some numbers. We have some people who

00:17:43.960 see what's going on the way we do and that we can build up our own resources so that when we get

00:17:51.920 canceled by the big tech corporations, by the banks, by whatever is going on, that that doesn't mean

00:17:57.120 you're just canceled from everything because you have your community. And I think that's very,

00:18:00.340 very important to make sure to do. In fact, I would encourage everyone,

00:18:04.140 if you can please assist us by sharing LifeSiteNews.com and LifeSiteNews.com slash video,

00:18:10.000 where you will have all of our information, all of our news stories, all of our videos,

00:18:15.040 always there. Please go direct LifeSiteNews.com and LifeSiteNews.com slash video.

00:18:20.200 And avail yourself of what's there because it's all an effort to assist you to change the culture.

00:18:25.080 We want to change the culture into one which embraces truth, ultimately the fullness of the

00:18:29.440 truth, that truth which we celebrate this Easter season. Any final thoughts for us, Ashley?

00:18:35.280 Just to jump onto that, I also encourage everybody to subscribe to our LifeSite emails so they get

00:18:42.680 our stories every day on all of our different topics that we cover. We cover a lot about big tech

00:18:49.500 censorship, about big government, all these sorts of things. We're going to be doing some written

00:18:54.320 stories on this latest development with YouTube as well. And so we just encourage people to continue

00:19:00.720 reading up on that and informing themselves and stay informed. Stay informed and stay and stay

00:19:08.020 prayerful because that's the most important thing you can do. Ashley Sadler, thank you so much for

00:19:12.280 being with us. Thank you so much. It was a pleasure. God bless you and God bless all of you.
