00:00:00.360 Welcome to this special episode of the John Henry Weston Show, where I will be telling you about an exciting new film that's going to preview, or actually that just did preview, and I want you to see.
00:00:10.220 We're going to get some reaction to it and see its context, and then I'll tell you where to find it.
00:00:30.000 So, let's begin, as we always do, with the sign of the cross. In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
00:00:39.320 You should all remember the Manifesto of Faith. It was issued by Cardinal Gerhard Müller, who is, of course, or was, under Pope Benedict, the head of the Congregation for the Doctrine of Faith, one of the most important congregations, or departments, if you will, in Rome.
00:00:53.680 And he was, of course, dismissed by Pope Francis, and really, the only reason for that was his being too orthodox, his being too much in line with the Church's teaching, which is being distorted right now under our eyes.
00:01:06.520 And he wrote a Manifesto of Faith, a statement to reaffirm the faith, the ancient faith that we've always believed since the time of Christ.
00:01:16.060 And that has been put to a film.
00:01:18.580 Let me go, first of all, to a couple of friends of mine, who are going to give you some reaction to what they thought of the Manifesto of Faith film, and their pretty frank thoughts on Pope Francis.
00:01:30.600 First of all, we're going to go to someone who needs no introduction.
00:01:34.540 Michael Voris, as you all know, is the head of Church Militant, and he is his own huge audience.
00:01:41.160 And he's going to be joining me in Rome at a roundtable, which is going to happen a couple of days before the Synod, and only a couple of days from now.
00:01:52.140 So, Michael, why don't you tell us what you think of the Manifesto of Faith film, and also your thoughts on the current papacy.
00:02:01.920 Hello, everyone. Michael Voris here from Church Militant.
00:02:04.560 The current catastrophe in the Church is resulting in many lay faithful Catholics stepping forward to assume leadership roles that, as few as just 10 years ago, none of us could ever have imagined.
00:02:16.200 What many of us are doing is committing ourselves to the restatement of the ancient faith, as well as exposing the dreadful attacks it's under from so many within the hierarchy these days.
00:02:27.260 Various tradition-minded members of the hierarchy, who have front-row seats to the unfolding of this nightmare scenario, are calling this the worst crisis in the history of the Church, rivaling, if not in fact surpassing, the days of the Aryan heresy of the 3rd and 4th centuries.
00:02:46.320 Some of the faithful bishops are now speaking up and defending the ancient faith in extremely clear terms.
00:02:51.520 They are being sidelined and marginalized under this pontificate, a pontificate which focuses more on concerns of the natural world as opposed to the supernatural.
00:03:01.620 Still, their voices are being heard, and they are being supported by faithful lay Catholics who are joining our voices to theirs in support of the faith.
00:03:10.080 One such effort is the film Cardinal Mueller's Manifesto of Faith, produced by the faithful Arcadia Films Outfit, operated by Richard and Stephen Payne.
00:03:19.640 Through the electronic medium, they provide an audible voice to his eminence's own words regarding the current catastrophe.
00:03:28.180 Manifesto is well worth the watch to see and hear what the ancient faith actually proposes.
00:03:36.540 Thank you, Michael.
00:03:37.760 And now we're going to hear from Liz Yor.
00:03:40.120 Liz Yor is a child's rights activist, if you will.
00:03:44.940 She's a lawyer, someone who has looked into children abused, especially the whole sexual abuse issue by clergy in the Catholic Church.
00:03:54.860 And she has fought on this issue for a long time.
00:03:58.000 She also was really moved by the Manifesto of Faith, and she's going to share with us also, frankly, her stances on what's going on in Rome right now and Pope Francis himself.
00:04:07.900 Liz.
00:04:08.120 At our Catholic baptism, the priest prays over us, this is the faith in which the child is about to be baptized.
00:04:17.360 I am pleased to urge you to watch the truth of our faith, beautifully presented by Arcadia Films.
00:04:24.640 Hello, my name is Elizabeth Yor, and I'm an international human rights and child protection attorney and a lifelong Catholic.
00:04:33.020 I'm honored to join a global chorus of voices to urge you to watch and share this amazing film, Manifesto of Faith, based on Cardinal Gerhard Mueller's inspiring testimony of the truths of the Catholic faith.
00:04:52.040 This film is the epitome of the Catholic imagination on display, using the beauty of filmmaking, art, and the wisdom of truth.
00:05:04.680 The great French Catholic poet Charles Peguille wrote,
00:05:10.740 He who does not bellow the truth when he knows the truth makes himself the accomplice of liars and forgers.
00:05:20.060 The manifesto of faith bellows the truth of Catholicism.
00:05:26.540 It's a stunning visual profession of our faith.
00:05:31.540 You will recognize the truth of Catholicism handed down over the centuries in the stirring words of Cardinal Mueller.
00:05:40.040 Please watch it with your family, and then again with your friends, and finally on your knees in prayer.
00:05:50.920 The manifesto of faith represents a profound prayer, resounding with simplicity and grace.
00:06:01.400 This, as the French say,
00:06:03.400 For we Catholics believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.
00:06:27.380 Amen. Enjoy the film. And may Our Lady, Queen of Heaven, pray for us.
00:06:35.260 Thank you, Liz. And we're also going to hear from Guillaume de Thioi.
00:06:40.720 Guillaume is the head of Le Salon Beige, a very popular publication in France, also a Catholic activist.
00:06:49.800 Guillaume, your thoughts, please, on the Manifesto of Faith film, as well as on the current France's papacy.
00:06:55.060 So I'm very grateful to Cardinal Mueller and all the Cardinals who spoke clearly to promote and defend Church teaching in such times, very difficult times for faithful Catholics.
00:07:10.800 So my first movement is to be grateful and to be also my second moment is admiration, because it was a beautiful, wonderful movie.
00:07:21.680 Telling the truth and telling the truth and telling the truth beautifully.
00:07:28.600 And my second point is about the times of confusion.
00:07:38.040 We are now fighting in very dark times.
00:07:42.660 Because the truth is no longer promoted and defended by who is supposed to promote it, especially the Pope.
00:07:56.640 The only mission of the Pope in the world is to be the spokesman of Church teaching, Christ teaching.
00:08:07.440 And I'm afraid to see such a confusion in such high level in the Church.
00:08:16.660 So once again, I'm very grateful for all these Cardinals and all these Bishops defending the truth when these confusions are so spread in the world.
00:08:30.360 So, yes, my prayers are to help this synod about Amazonia not to be a disaster for the faith and for the Church teaching.
00:08:46.580 But, of course, we know that the Church will prevail and the doors of hell will cannot be above the Church.
00:08:59.220 We can be faithful.
00:09:00.500 Now that we have all of this commentary on this film, I'm going to give you, first of all, the context for it.
00:09:11.160 Because Cardinal Muller's statement, or Manifesto of Faith, as he called it, comes not in the midst of just rosy times for the Church.
00:09:19.180 It comes in one of the most severe, no, the most severe crisis of faith inside the Church in her 2,000-year history.
00:09:26.760 And the makers of the film, Manifesto of Faith, have beautifully illustrated what times we're living in by doing this amazing little promo of the film that I'm going to show you.
00:09:42.540 Here it is now. Take a look.
00:09:56.760 Take a look.
00:10:26.760 Take a look.

00:11:24.740 It's a great statement of faith.
00:11:26.280 It's something that we can all latch on to.
00:11:28.780 It is the faith of our fathers.
00:11:30.420 It's the faith we need to hold on to.
00:11:33.240 May God bless you.
00:11:34.460 Stay strong in the faith.
