You know, it's not just a dream or a beautiful thing for us to consider to do to be holy to God
00:00:06.900
and to fight the good fight, but in fact, it's absolutely necessary.
00:00:20.240
Hello, my friends. It brings me great joy to bring back to you Father Clay Hunt. You'll remember
00:00:26.240
Father Hunt because he shines. He's also known as the cowboy priest or the pistol packing priest or
00:00:33.160
probably a whole bunch of other titles that I don't know, but what I know Father Clay for is for
00:00:40.340
his love. It shines out really beautifully. If you were with us last time, you found out about his
00:00:46.320
prison ministry, which has been so successful and brought so many people back to the Lord.
00:00:50.520
You got to listen to this because it shines forth the love of Christ, and that's what I really love.
00:00:55.200
Everywhere Father goes, he brings Christ, and he does that in a very neat way. He does that in a way
00:01:02.860
that really sticks out in some ways, although he's a very different guy, very much like Bishop Strickland
00:01:09.000
does because the Lord's sort of on his heart and bubbles over, and that's what you get from folks who
00:01:15.480
try and basically live out the life of Christ in their life so that Christ shines, and I think that's
00:01:20.820
what people recognize. Stay tuned for this episode.

Father, so good to be with you once again. Good to see you, sir. Father, if you could start us off
00:02:01.040
at the sign of the cross. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
00:02:09.860
Thank you so much, Father. So, we want to do a few things with you. One, catch up a little bit. Tell us,
00:02:16.680
you know, what you've been up to these past, it's been, what, five months or so. What are you doing
00:02:22.820
right now? Well, when people ask me what I've been doing, I tell them in truth what I have been
00:02:28.580
doing. And as a cowboy, we've been looking for the lost sheep. And so, that's what we do pretty much
00:02:36.180
all the time. Whenever I tell people that, they say, well, you don't have far to look. They're
00:02:42.120
everywhere. And that's actually true as well. We evangelize, we bear witness to the Christ,
00:02:49.300
He who alone is the light, the light that has come into the darkness. And we make it our business
00:02:56.560
to continue to negotiate, to bring souls to our Lord. Now, Father, you smile a lot, and you're pretty
00:03:04.860
joyful. So, we're in the midst of some really weird times. Politically, in the world, there's wars
00:03:12.760
going on. America's hugely unsettled as we're transitioning from the Biden presidency into
00:03:20.040
the American presidency. But that all pales in comparison to what's going on in the church,
00:03:25.560
right from Rome on down to even the local diocese here. We're in San Antonio, where we just had
00:03:32.080
the Sanctus Ranch retreat. And so, the church is a huge mess, and yet you're full of joy.
00:03:39.900
I think people will want to know, where does that come from? Because it's not looking real pretty.
00:03:45.580
Praise the Lord, sir. Our joy, as you know, is in the Lord alone. And what sustains me,
00:03:53.960
even in the midst of these times of tremendous affliction, is precisely that. We just celebrated
00:04:01.500
the birth of our Lord, and we are celebrating the birth of our Lord. And the purpose of His coming,
00:04:11.580
the purpose of His being born unto us, is precisely the church and the sacramental life of Holy Mother
00:04:22.480
Church. And the summit of that is the Holy Eucharist. And I, myself, as a priest of the Lord,
00:04:32.340
I celebrated the Holy Mass every single day. I'll be, I'm approaching, I guess it's about one week
00:04:40.100
until my anniversary of ordination to the Holy Priesthood. And that'll be 16 years, they say.
00:04:48.120
Sweet 16, well, it's been rough, but I wouldn't change it for the world. And what sustains me
00:04:56.540
is precisely the daily celebration of the Eucharist, the daily reception of the Eucharist.
00:05:06.140
The Lord was the Lord was the one who said, when you eat my flesh and drink my blood, I live in you,
00:05:14.820
and you live in me. And so therefore, we're able to, to endure, or we have what is supernatural
00:05:24.200
that, that lifts up our spirits and gives us the strength, the fortitude, the grace,
00:05:34.720
and even the joy, you know, to, to push forward one day at a time. And that's precisely what,
00:05:44.060
what we do. No, no joke. This past four years has been, you know, unbelievable. We, we are able to
00:05:56.940
perceive with our senses, you know, the oppression of all these happenings. This has been
00:06:08.240
a terrible scourge to God's people, to the people here in the United States of America and to the whole
00:06:17.420
world. And so, uh, you know, it's easy for people to lose their joy. It's easy for people to,
00:06:26.020
to lose their hope and to give up. I mean, you see people turn to other things like drugs,
00:06:34.420
uh, things to try to escape. We have tremendous loss of life, you know, to, uh, fentanyl and,
00:06:42.760
and, and other, other people lose their lives for different drug use and, uh, but those things
00:06:53.180
are never going to be the one to give us joy. That's why you see the sadness on the people.
00:06:59.900
And it's true from the beginning and it continues to be true that the only thing that will truly give
00:07:08.220
us these things that we desire and long for to be happy is the sacramental life of Holy Mother Church.
00:07:18.380
That's the, the fountain for us of, of joy, of hope, and even to, to the fullest of things and that's
00:07:29.740
to love. That's the only way we're able to, to possess these things and to,
00:07:35.120
to live these things to other people. So that's what we do. You were able to, uh,
00:07:44.680
to meet, I believe, a young man. He's, uh, he's an amazing young man just coming into the fullness
00:07:50.840
of manhood, strong young fellow. He's my godson. His name is Elijah. And, uh, one of his talents is,
00:07:59.380
he has, he has many talents, but he makes rosaries and, uh, he sells them and, and, uh, he's done that
00:08:07.500
for years. And as a gift to me, he made this rosary, which is in truth a powerful rosary and
00:08:14.500
to pray it. That's, that's the greatest power. But I also say in case, just in case I need to,
00:08:23.860
we can whip on the devil with it. And we pray the, we pray that's, you know, again to,
00:08:32.960
I want, I want to tell your listeners, uh, we thank, we thank you, sir, for your efforts,
00:08:38.440
uh, to bring the light of the gospel to the world. And, uh, as we were discussing last night,
00:08:47.240
you know, to re-Christianize, you know, what were the words that we used? The motto that
00:08:55.240
we were saying, uh, this institution to institute and to bring Christ anew into, into the world,
00:09:07.840
you know, to society. That's to bring a culture of Christ anew. And those things, uh, you know,
00:09:16.740
require that we do our participation. So we have to pray. We have to pray every day.
00:09:23.940
And oftentimes people will ask me, you know, well, what should I pray? I'm struggling in this way. I,
00:09:30.940
I tell them oftentimes, you know, the most powerful prayer after the Holy Mass is the rosary.
00:09:36.780
We should pray the rosary daily and even multiple rosaries a day. And, uh, these things are what
00:09:44.780
God, sustain us and bring grace and strength from on high for us to be able to handle the daily life.
00:09:56.060
And that's why I encourage you people to, to, to not be wearied of, of these things we know to the
00:10:05.620
Lord. Discipline of prayer, sacrifice at times. You know, we were just talking to someone, uh,
00:10:15.860
about the brown scapular, you know, and I said, well, sometimes it irritates me, you know,
00:10:21.400
that's, you know, that's a natural thing. Uh, you know, it gets sullied, it might irritate us a little
00:10:28.920
bit, but as you said, uh, that's a perfect opportunity to offer up a little sacrifice.
00:10:36.060
And that's exactly true. The little things, you know, I was staying last night and thinking about,
00:10:41.400
um, St. Teresa, the little flower, her way, the little way. I mean, these aren't just for,
00:10:50.060
you know, to impress us. They're actually tremendously efficacious.
00:10:56.420
That we need to know how to sacrifice, how to fast, how to offer these little sufferings of the
00:11:03.720
daily life as a living sacrifice to God. A lot of times people are lost to, to the reality that
00:11:14.820
from the priesthood of our baptism, that's precisely, uh, what we're capable to do.
00:11:23.440
Hmm. So we, we are the, like Christ, the victim, and in the priesthood of our baptism,
00:11:33.560
like Christ, we're able to offer this living sacrifice to God. People have lost that in large
00:11:40.980
part. I mean, obviously there's, there are holy people. Probably most of the people that you have
00:11:46.340
listening are, are in fact, uh, holy people, but we need to reconnect to these Christian values,
00:11:57.080
Christian ways, and, and to live it in our daily life.
00:12:00.800
One of the things that, uh, it's a Polish tradition, I think, but at Christmas, um, in the lead up to
00:12:08.040
Christmas, the parents would get their little kids to put in a piece of straw for every good action that
00:12:16.400
they did. So in the church crib that's being prepared for the baby Jesus, he's not in there yet,
00:12:22.000
on the way up to Christmas, they would get the little kids to count all the good actions they did,
00:12:29.380
the extra little things, like, I helped mommy with the dishes, or, you know, I didn't hit my brother
00:12:35.820
back when he hit me, or I gave up my chocolate bar, and they're not to tell the parents this.
00:12:42.240
When they get to mass on Sunday, or whatever day they go, they are to take little pieces of straw,
00:12:48.400
and one per thing they did, and put it into the lining of the manger, the little manger,
00:12:54.680
to make it more comfortable for baby Jesus. I thought it was a beautiful practice, because
00:12:59.300
it was, it got the kids to understand their prayers, works, joys, sacrifices, and sufferings
00:13:06.280
help in terms of making baby Jesus comfortable. When I read this book that I spoke on last night,
00:13:13.320
it was, um, similar in that you would take all of your, everything in your day, and that's your
00:13:24.180
offering, and you'd offer it at the holy sacrifice of the mass. When the priest is offering the bread
00:13:29.660
and wine, and changing it into the body and blood, we're making it the offertory, which is, I guess,
00:13:34.940
the part where you're supposed to do that. You're offering yourself, but particularly all those things
00:13:40.540
that you did on purpose to offer, and then you have something to offer, which I thought really
00:13:47.960
beautiful. De Montfort would sort of take that a step further and go, we'll give it to our lady,
00:13:53.120
and she'll offer it for you, but so it's the same concept. But it is something that, are we thinking
00:13:58.540
about, do I have a little gift for Jesus? At every moment you can probably do that, but the practice
00:14:04.920
is beautiful, the, the mindset is beautiful, where you're trying, hey, Jesus, it's weird to say, needs
00:14:12.820
something of me, but you can say that in a way, obviously God doesn't need anything per se, but
00:14:18.800
he wants us to give something. That's why St. Paul said, you know, I make up in my body what's
00:14:26.520
lacking in the sufferings of Christ. That sounds insane. There's nothing lacking in the sufferings
00:14:30.700
of Christ, except that he wants it to be such that we can help in the salvation of the world,
00:14:38.760
which is incredible. That's absolutely true, my friend, and that is the highest order of, of our,
00:14:47.380
the Eucharist, the, the pinnacle of our faith, the source and summit of our faith. What's amazing is
00:14:55.660
it is, it is very true that we offer, that we place into, uh, the sacrifice, uh, our own offering
00:15:06.220
to God from the priesthood of our baptism. And the amazing reality is that he blesses it, makes it holy
00:15:16.320
and gives back to us. We call the Holy Exchange when we receive the Holy Communion. And this is,
00:15:25.300
this is the absolute pinnacle and, uh, and the very heart of, of our Christian faith. And that's
00:15:32.940
why I tell people all the time, I know, I know that not everyone is able to go to the Holy Mass.
00:15:38.760
You know, it's, you know, it's a priest. We make it happen. You know, we're, we're, uh, you know,
00:15:47.380
the priest is the direct, uh, mediator between God and man in offering the, the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.
00:15:57.120
So it's, it's not as easy for a lay person to say and to make that commitment, I, I attend Mass daily.
00:16:04.580
But in fact, it is possible. And, uh, it is, uh, you know, it, it's possible to, for a lay person
00:16:16.480
to do that. And I say, that's the greatest wisdom. I mean, obviously we have to go to the Sunday Mass.
00:16:22.660
That's the mandate of the Lord. That's the third commandment. But to, to go to the daily Mass,
00:16:30.120
I say is the greatest wisdom that a person could possess. For wisdom itself comes to us,
00:16:38.820
the Lord. And I encourage you to, if you're going to make a New Year's resolution, and if it is
00:16:44.400
possible, even if you have to stretch yourself, go to the daily Mass.
00:16:50.580
Pope Pius XI said, men must look for the peace of Christ in the kingdom of Christ. And he urged
00:16:59.980
that the faithful give public honor to Christ the King so that individuals and states would submit
00:17:05.020
once more to the rule of their savior. And that is why LifeSite News is raising up the image of Christ
00:17:11.420
the King across the United States. And you can help us reach millions more. Please pledge your support
00:17:17.960
today for these billboards at lifefunder.com slash Christ is King.
00:17:24.400
I read that book once about, it was called One More Mass, I believe it was a little booklet,
00:17:30.180
but it was, there's basically like a story of a soul coming back to share, from purgatory,
00:17:37.900
coming to share with someone, you know, if I could come back to earth and experience one more Mass,
00:17:45.260
I would, I would come back for a whole lifetime of suffering, the most severe suffering for just
00:17:51.640
one more Mass. How about that? And when I heard that, I thought, well, that makes no sense to ever
00:17:58.520
skip a daily Mass, if you can at all do it. And I'm, um, knowing that makes you want to do it all the
00:18:07.360
more, but it also can lead you to sin when you're grumpy, when you don't get there, which is probably
00:18:12.760
my problem. And I complain, I complain to our Lord first, because that's a lot more healthy.
00:18:18.460
Um, I complain to my family or something that doesn't go well, because then it's all about
00:18:23.160
blame. But complaining to the Lord about it is fun, because I, you see, you tell him, okay,
00:18:28.140
I really wanted to go, what was that? But there is this spiritual Holy Communion. You know what,
00:18:32.780
Father? Probably there's a lot of people don't know about spiritual Holy Communion. Why don't you
00:18:36.560
tell us? You know, sometimes we're not able to make it to the Holy Mass for one reason or another.
00:18:43.940
I was just speaking to some folks that right after the Holy Christmas and, and before the New Year,
00:18:51.760
going into the New Year, they were making some travels and they were in bad weather.
00:18:57.020
And it became impossible for them to make it to the Holy Mass as they were way up in the mountains.
00:19:03.800
They got stuck and they weren't able to make it to the Holy Mass, which they're very faithful to go
00:19:10.200
to the Sunday Mass. And so they were disappointed in that. And they said, well, we watched, we watched
00:19:18.100
the Mass online as, as we could, you know, and we made a spiritual communion. And then there's other
00:19:25.640
times there's, there's circumstances where persons are not able to, to take the Holy Communion for
00:19:33.780
one reason or another in their life, you know, because of certain situations or circumstances
00:19:41.280
in their life. They're not able to go to confession and they're not able to take the Holy Communion.
00:19:47.020
But in fact, they are able to, with solicitude, assist in the Holy Mass to fulfill the third commandment
00:19:56.900
and to make their prayer to God. And as the Lord to open the way and even to, to petition the Lord
00:20:07.480
for a spiritual grace of communion, even though there are these other realities, and, and the Lord who knows
00:20:17.700
the mind and the heart is the giver of grace. He's the only one. He alone is the Lord. And so it's possible
00:20:28.360
for us to, to make spiritual communions even daily. If, for example, work or other responsibilities,
00:20:38.240
a lot of times elderly, you know, that's a tough thing. The men that I love, my, my parishioners,
00:20:45.820
the prisoners, you know, they're not able to, to go to Mass daily. And they're lucky if they have
00:20:53.440
Mass, you know, even, even for great periods of time, they might, they might go without having
00:21:00.300
the Holy Mass, without having the Holy Sacraments. But it, I tell them, you know, you're able to pray,
00:21:08.780
you're able to make this cell that you live in against your own will, but you can make it into a
00:21:16.520
little monastery of faith to God. You know, you can ask the Lord to come to you. And obviously,
00:21:24.300
who, he who mandated us to visit the one in prison would certainly visit the one in prison himself.
00:21:32.480
The Lord. And, and, and there are, there are holy men, you know, who are incarcerated,
00:21:39.260
holy women who understand that, who grasp it, who live it. And just as you say, they,
00:21:46.120
they make these kind of, that's their spirituality to God. And we all have that opportunity.
00:21:52.380
Joan Andrews Bell, who is an old friend, and she's a pro-life activist, and she's been jailed
00:21:58.960
over and over again. She did something really neat this time when she went into jail. And it was
00:22:06.520
striking to a lot of people because it was so strange sounding to the world. She asked that people
00:22:13.960
not write her because she wanted to go into her jail as if a hermitage, and just offer her being
00:22:27.380
there. Now, when they're inside, they minister from the inside to the other prisoners and everything
00:22:32.620
else. So it's very much, but they are intentionally being, they're, they know they're called to do the
00:22:39.520
pro-life witness. They know it's going to get them arrested. And she's been in jail for years and
00:22:44.140
years and years. Her husband, Chrissy, that must be tough. But anyway, they do this. And it's
00:22:52.520
beautiful. But her whole thing was to turn her prison cell into a monastery and be in, as a hermit,
00:23:00.040
with our Lord incarcerated. You know, these are the unbelievable things that we're talking about,
00:23:07.920
you know. And that's why, you know, it's not just a dream or a beautiful thing for us to consider to
00:23:16.000
do, to be holy to God and to fight the good fight. But in fact, it's absolutely necessary. Just anger
00:23:23.800
should, you know, take possession of us, that we would be motivated and moved to action. You know,
00:23:30.720
we thank God that President Trump was elected and that we have another chance. I see so many people
00:23:39.240
relieved all over the place with an anticipation of better days that lie ahead. But these things that
00:23:49.100
have taken place, you know, have taken place unbelievable, you know, with pro-life. Pro-life
00:23:53.700
people who pray and do everything they can to, for the baby in the womb to be able to survive, to
00:24:05.060
make changes to these abominations that are taking place all over the place. And in this, I don't,
00:24:12.180
I never called Joe Biden president. I called him the resident. You know, he was just occupied
00:24:19.060
buying the White House. And in fact, he never, he never was the president. They stole the election
00:24:25.400
in 2020. And that guy is terrible. He who proclaims himself to be a faithful Catholic. And then he's
00:24:36.240
complicit with putting these faithful Catholics, true faithful Catholics, in prison for nothing more than
00:24:45.080
praying. And praying the rosary in front of one of these abortion mills and making effort to save and
00:24:52.000
to advocate for the lives of these little ones. But we have to do such things. We have to be bold
00:24:59.740
and to, to make action. You know, there was recently these terrorist attacks in New Orleans and

Las Vegas and there will be, there will be many more. I told to the people I have on the YouTube,
00:25:17.540
which, please God, I would love to see Elon Musk buy YouTube, you know, to put an end to this
00:25:25.680
censorship that they do. YouTube is terrible. They're one of the worst ones.
00:25:31.060
But I use that platform to, to make the little cowboy priest videos, you know, where I give teachings and
00:25:39.740
pray with and encourage you good people. I told them on there, you, you, you hear people asking,
00:25:49.380
how could God allow this? You know, what happened in New Orleans or what happened in Minnesota or wherever,
00:25:59.900
you know, wherever there's these violences? And I told them,
00:26:04.320
how is it possible for you to ask such questions when we have freely allowed for the shedding of blood
00:26:15.880
of the innocent to the tune of 4,000 babies a day? And you can ask the Lord, why did you allow this
00:26:25.320
to happen to happen to us? It's not that the, the Lord desires that for us, but we bring it upon
00:26:31.220
ourselves. How was it? I just saw the image of Mother Teresa of Calcutta, saint, and she was the one who
00:26:39.260
said, any nation who has for themselves as the law of the land abortion, they will be the one to destroy
00:26:46.380
themselves. Any nation or people who kills their own children will never survive. And that's absolutely true.
00:26:56.320
And we see the fruits of these things upon us. And that's why we have to make it our business. In fact, to make
00:27:04.440
effort to be holy, we recognize our imperfections. We are sinners. But we have to know truth and to strive to
00:27:16.560
truth's ideal and to repent and to try to be better. These things are necessary. And that's why I wanted to,
00:27:25.060
to say to you guys, as we come into this new year, it's a holy year, you know, a year of jubilee, a
00:27:35.660
significant year, that, that you resolve yourself anew to be faithful to the three commandments that are
00:27:43.800
the highest order to God. Don't put yourself to make the original sin, to put your own understanding
00:27:54.020
above that and before that of the Lord. For he alone is the Lord. Don't, don't presume yourself to be
00:28:02.360
more than you are to make understandings and decisions of what's right and wrong. That's to God alone.
00:28:11.660
Stand to keep holy his name. Go to the holy mass on Sunday. For young people and for older people who
00:28:18.780
still have your parents, honor them. That's sometimes a difficult thing to do, but we have
00:28:24.020
to do that. We don't have the freedom to, to put people down, to abuse other people, to abuse our own
00:28:31.960
persons. We don't have the, the freedom to hurt our, the temple of the Holy Spirit with these things of
00:28:40.220
the world. False images to, to glory, drugs, these kind of things. We don't, we don't have the freedom
00:28:48.840
to do that. We don't have the freedom to take upon ourselves what is beyond us. I can't stand it
00:28:56.020
whenever I see how prevalent it is that young people cohabitate before they're married. You know,
00:29:03.640
if you love each other, that's wonderful. You don't have the freedom to live together before you're
00:29:08.600
married. And parents, you don't have the freedom to make concessions to your children to that. We
00:29:14.780
don't have the freedom to, to abuse the tremendous gift of our sexuality and to lose its fullness of
00:29:23.720
glory, to be, become unresponsive to God. We don't have the freedom to take what's not ours. That is
00:29:32.300
one of the greatest defenses of this Biden administration. These, these past four years,
00:29:40.080
I've seen the tremendous fleecing of the possessions, the monies, the, the wealth of God's people here
00:29:52.880
in the United States of America and throwing it to, to anyone else in the world. This is a tremendous
00:30:02.220
thievery, a theft on the highest level. You know, I've, I've been on the border where I've seen for
00:30:09.360
four years, them shipping illegal aliens all over the country, 20 chartered buses a day from one single
00:30:21.280
port, from one single sector on the border daily. They would line up those taxpayer funded buses and load
00:30:31.960
them up 20 buses a day from one single place all over the country. Not to mention the night flights from, from
00:30:45.100
airports and bases. I mean, these are tremendous offenses. Not to amend, not to mention what has happened in the
00:30:54.920
Ukraine. One of the worst fellows, one of the worst actors in the whole world is Zelensky. And through the Biden
00:31:04.760
crime family, the Biden administration, they have given countless amounts of money and thrown it all over the place.
00:31:15.060
Yes, we desire to be generous. Yes, we desire to welcome those who are downtrodden, but it has to be in the
00:31:26.100
way that it has always been or the way it is supposed to be. And that isn't by rule of law and order. And when you
00:31:35.880
hear people talking, you hear a lot of people pontificating about social justice issues. They know neither
00:31:43.060
anything to God nor do they have love and care for the poor. That's true. All you got to do is look.
00:31:51.700
And that's why I hope you open your eyes for this new year and that you continue to push toward light
00:31:59.200
itself. That's our Lord Jesus Christ, who knew how to be in relation to powers of this world and who loved
00:32:07.420
in authenticity, the poorest of the poor. That is what it means to live. And I hope we push for that
00:32:15.900
better than we have been in this new year of 2025. Would you give us your blessing in conclusion for 2025?
00:32:25.020
I do want to tell you guys that we love you very much. Never lose hope. Never quit pushing
00:32:30.860
forward and try to incorporate these things into your own life to a greater degree, to the degree
00:32:39.580
that is possible for this new year. The Lord be with you. And through the intercession of the holy
00:32:46.700
holy bishop to God, St. John Henry Newman. And we praise to the Lord that in fact there is such thing
00:32:57.580
as holy bishops. Through the intercession of that great man and all the holy ones who have gone before us,
00:33:07.180
even just yesterday, or in these days, another American saint, Elizabeth Ann Seton. May almighty God bless to
00:33:18.060
each of you and to all your family. And may this be a good year, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
00:33:28.060
Amen. Thank you so much, Father. Yes, sir. Great to be with you as always. We look forward to see you down the road.
00:33:33.100
Keep up the good work, my friend. Thank you. And God bless all of you. And we'll see you next time.
