The John-Henry Westen Show - DISCOVER： A miracle seen by millions & witness the power of prayer

00:00:00.000 We seem to have lost this concept that God might intervene and there may be able to be

00:00:07.640 verifiable information to be able to tell it's happened.

00:00:14.460 Is God an interventionist God?

00:00:16.860 Does he step into this world, hear prayers and act in the way, in other cases, like he

00:00:23.460 did with this priest?

00:00:24.520 And then I began to study more about whether God does intervene, like the story of Fatima

00:00:31.120 as a lawyer looking back.

00:00:33.480 You know, I couldn't believe that this claim of 70,000 people witnessed some most colossal

00:00:38.640 events since the time of Christ's resurrection occurring in our times, and no one's talking

00:00:42.900 about it.

00:00:43.420 And why?

00:00:44.020 Is there something about the witness's testimony that was failing?

00:00:48.160 Why doesn't the church talk about it?

00:00:49.840 And that concerned me that we seem to have lost this concept that God might intervene

00:00:56.140 and there may be able to be verifiable information to be able to tell it's happened.

00:01:02.440 So I then began to study cases that have claimed mystical phenomena in our world today.

00:01:09.180 And with science advances the way it has, we were able to look at things in a more detailed

00:01:14.520 way than they would have been done before.

00:01:17.360 And so when there were claims of people having apparitions, I wanted to know what happens

00:01:22.720 in their brain.

00:01:23.440 Why are they seeing things that we don't see?

00:01:26.640 Why are they hearing things that we don't hear?

00:01:28.740 Is the brain acting in an abnormal sort of way to reflect this behavior?

00:01:34.660 So then it went on from there to other things.

00:01:37.200 I heard about the statue of Christ crying and bleeding in Bolivia.

00:01:41.460 And, you know, no one ever takes these things seriously.

00:01:43.760 They think that perhaps, you know, this is all just a hoax.

00:01:46.980 And that's the mainstream media's view.

00:01:49.240 But the question was, have we used the best of science to be able to examine what the claim

00:01:55.500 is?

00:01:56.280 Is it blood?

00:01:57.420 Does it have genetic material?

00:02:00.220 I mean, that story of the statue, which you know about from my book and from my documentaries,

00:02:04.360 is an incredible story.

00:02:05.720 And it's part of a mosaic of things that have happened in recent times that all have a meaning.

00:02:10.400 But the most important story, I think, that we did, well, there's two very important stories,

00:02:15.880 which we'll come to later, namely the Eucharistic miracle of Buenos Aires, which I was privileged

00:02:20.940 to have been able to do the investigation on for now 20 years.

00:02:25.300 But when it came to this story of mystics and whether God is intervening in our world,

00:02:31.840 I was introduced to a person in Bolivia called Carta Rivas.

00:02:34.920 She claimed to have been receiving messages from Jesus, and she claimed to have had the

00:02:39.720 stigmata.

00:02:41.200 I interviewed her.

00:02:42.620 I was impressed by her.

00:02:44.340 I interviewed her, a spiritual director.

00:02:46.900 And I got some footage of when she had the stigmata on a previous occasion.

00:02:52.880 I looked at that.

00:02:53.800 I interviewed the witnesses who were there.

00:02:55.700 And I thought, this sounds like a plausible story.

00:02:58.640 I, you know, back in Australia, I am the lawyer for, was the lawyer for, now he's passed away.

00:03:06.460 The Australia's most notable, for instance, most notable investigative journalist, who's

00:03:12.780 like, was a household name in this country for many years.

00:03:16.360 What he said, people believed in.

00:03:18.380 He was regarded as being the man you've got when you've got a difficult story and you want

00:03:23.000 to find the truth.

00:03:23.740 Now, I approached him with this story of what was happening in Bolivia with this person.

00:03:30.060 And his reaction was, look, he wasn't even prepared to look at the footage.

00:03:33.240 He said, look, these things don't happen.

00:03:35.620 You know, he says, I've done stories like this.

00:03:37.380 There's always another explanation.

00:03:40.000 You know, these things just don't happen.

00:03:42.600 I said, Mike, you, and that is personal name, Mike Willisey.

00:03:46.500 Everyone in Australia knows him.

00:03:47.880 He said to me, you know, these things don't happen.

00:03:50.400 And I said to him, you know, you've got a reputation for being able to present a story

00:03:55.980 based upon your examination and you present the truth.

00:03:59.880 Here, you don't even want to look at the evidence and you proffer an explanation.

00:04:04.380 How many other stories in your journalistic career have you treated that way?

00:04:09.900 And I said, why don't you at least look at the facts and then tell me what you think?

00:04:15.220 And I said, better still, prove me wrong.

00:04:17.120 Well, that struck a spark in him.

00:04:20.440 He decided, I've got to check this thing out.

00:04:23.420 So he came with me to Bolivia and I introduced him to this person.

00:04:28.580 While we were there, you know, Jesus relates, speaks to her.

00:04:33.400 And this is something that's hard to believe.

00:04:36.740 And I might just interpose this thing, you know.

00:04:39.480 You know, we look at the history of the saints, you know, in our Catholic history,

00:04:43.680 and we see people like St. Catherine of Siena, Padre Pio, St. Francis.

00:04:49.220 And they've had extraordinary experiences.

00:04:52.500 And we often think to ourselves, wouldn't it have been great to have been there in those times

00:04:57.400 to see these people, to witness what they experience,

00:05:01.800 to see what happens when Jesus or God the Father is right at dictating to St. Catherine of Siena,

00:05:08.060 volumes of profound theology, which ended up being something that cured the church of its time.

00:05:15.060 But I've been able to do this with this modern dynasty, film it, as she's been receiving dictation,

00:05:22.380 with messages to humanity of the same calibre as St. Catherine of Siena.

00:05:27.960 But at this stage, I introduced Mike Willissey to her, and she says through her to this journalist,

00:05:36.960 Mike, I've given you many talents, and I want you to use them for me.

00:05:42.880 I want a program made.

00:05:44.660 And he explained more about that program.

00:05:47.820 And he says, Cathy will have the stigmata, not today.

00:05:51.620 It will happen in two months' time, on the day after the Feast of Corpus Christi.

00:05:56.140 Now, can you imagine this?

00:05:57.980 We're actually filming someone predicting they're going to have the stigmata.

00:06:04.420 Hello, dear LifeSite family.

00:06:06.200 The very first Christmas was a dark time,

00:06:09.000 with the world in the clutches of a foreign and hostile power, 0.94

00:06:12.340 and with religious leaders betraying God and their flocks at every opportunity.

00:06:17.760 But yet, it was in that very time that the angels joyfully announced to the shepherds

00:06:22.700 the birth of the long-awaited Messiah, the Holy One of Israel, Jesus the Christ.

00:06:27.240 And we are in very similar times again.

00:06:31.060 Millions of people worldwide are searching for truth and light,

00:06:35.520 as our fragile world seems to be growing darker by the day.

00:06:40.080 Our work at LifeSite News results from an unwavering trust in our holy call to evangelize,

00:06:46.340 to bring the world the truth, ultimately the fullness of the truth himself.

00:06:52.120 At LifeSite, we pledge ourselves anew to boldly ring out the truth of Christ

00:06:58.320 on life, faith, family, and freedom.

00:07:01.400 We're in the midst of our second annual Gifts of Gratitude Christmas campaign,

00:07:05.320 and invite you to join us in celebrating LifeSite News' special way

00:07:10.320 of sharing reflections and reactions directly from the heart

00:07:13.500 about what truly motivates us here to work for you on the front lines of the culture war.

00:07:20.840 So during our Christmas campaign, we must raise $750,000

00:07:24.300 in order to meet the minimum amount required to keep our news mission and operations going.

00:07:30.500 So we rely on your gracious help and support to keep our truthful news mission going,

00:07:36.320 especially as we close 2023 and embrace the lean and early winter months.

00:07:43.360 This is our largest goal of the entire year,

00:07:46.480 and one that requires each of you to prayerfully consider a donation.

00:07:51.680 Please know that any amount helps.

00:07:55.100 To give your own personal gift of gratitude,

00:07:57.840 you can donate by clicking on the big red banner at the main homepage of LifeSite News,

00:08:02.680 or the giving link that can be found below in the video description box.

00:08:07.760 It is only through your love, prayers, and generous support for our mission

00:08:12.040 that we are able to continue reporting the truth without compromise.

00:08:16.300 This Christmas season, let each of us do what we can

00:08:20.340 to be the light that we are called to be in this culture of darkness,

00:08:24.100 and so we can enable the truth himself to shine ever so brightly as a result.

00:08:31.380 So I want to thank you so much for your unwavering support

00:08:35.420 and continued prayers for LifeSite News,

00:08:38.220 and I pray you have a happy and holy Christmas.

00:08:41.060 May God bless you.

00:08:43.500 They also say what an army of intercessors that would be for us,

00:08:49.080 both to end the culture of death,

00:08:50.800 but also to help us in our current struggles that we have in the world today.

00:08:54.860 So this prayer of Bishop Fulton J. Sheen.

00:09:02.000 First of all, give us the prayer if you could, Matt,

00:09:03.600 and then tell us a little bit about it.

00:09:05.840 So it goes something,

00:09:07.420 so this is from the Archdiocese of New York's website,

00:09:09.840 the Respect Life office.

00:09:11.380 Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, I love you very much.

00:09:13.500 I bet you spare the life of,

00:09:14.980 and you can either pick a name or just say

00:09:16.820 the unborn baby that I've spiritually adopted

00:09:18.840 who is in danger of abortion.

00:09:20.840 There's a couple different ways you could do this prayer.

00:09:23.600 I mean, you could do it over nine months,

00:09:24.900 so every month representing nine months of pregnancy.

00:09:27.780 So if you start it now,

00:09:29.440 you know, we get to Christmas,

00:09:30.540 it'll be the ninth month,

00:09:31.600 or you could do it as a novena.

00:09:34.180 And this prayer is basically you're spiritually adopting a baby

00:09:37.820 that is in danger of abortion. 0.70

00:09:41.000 Should we be so blessed to,

00:09:42.780 you know, achieve eternal salvation,

00:09:46.560 maybe we would get to know, of course,

00:09:48.680 what our works benefited and perhaps get to meet those babies

00:09:52.240 we spiritually adopted.

00:09:54.560 And so this is Bishop Fulton Sheen,

00:09:57.520 one of the great, relatively recent Catholic leaders.

00:10:03.460 And actually, when I was in grade school,

00:10:04.740 I used to do this.

00:10:05.300 My religion teacher was a distant relative

00:10:06.940 of Bishop Fulton Sheen.

00:10:09.040 And the church I go to now,

00:10:10.960 they have binders full of all of the spiritually adopted babies

00:10:15.040 that their parish has done going back years

00:10:19.320 in a little shrine with Mary.

00:10:21.960 And so it's just quite beautiful,

00:10:23.800 this dedication to saving babies from abortion,

00:10:28.060 because even if the Supreme Court,

00:10:29.520 even though the Supreme Court made a great decision in June,

00:10:31.420 there's still plenty of work to do here,

00:10:32.920 and of course, across the world

00:10:34.220 to end the violence of abortion.

00:10:37.720 Indeed so.

00:10:38.620 Now, people might wonder,

00:10:41.060 is there official teaching?

00:10:42.780 Because this comes up to a rather controversial thing

00:10:47.040 in the church.

00:10:48.060 What happens to babies when aborted?

00:10:52.380 And it's sort of a question left unanswered.

00:10:55.800 What's your understanding of the church's teaching on that?

00:10:58.560 It's a gray area.

00:11:00.800 My understanding is that the idea of limbo

00:11:03.220 has not necessarily been abolished.

00:11:05.620 We can, so it's up in the air.

00:11:09.940 Some would say, well,

00:11:10.520 is it a form of baptism of desire

00:11:12.240 in the same way of if there was a Protestant

00:11:14.300 who was converting and was, let's say,

00:11:17.360 killed the day before Easter vigil?

00:11:19.400 Well, he had the desire to become a baptized,

00:11:22.340 or he had the desire to enter the Catholic Church.

00:11:26.140 It's one of those things we don't really,

00:11:27.580 won't really know, I guess,

00:11:28.620 until the end of time.

00:11:30.640 We can feel confident that a baby who died,

00:11:35.860 of course, no baby could really die

00:11:37.180 through their own fault,

00:11:38.680 would not suffer.

00:11:40.400 And I think we can trust in God

00:11:41.900 that he would take care of the littlest of ones

00:11:44.740 in whatever form that is.

00:11:48.020 Now, just so that people understand,

00:11:49.680 limbo is a place of total happiness,

00:11:52.980 but it's not the full union,

00:11:55.300 the beatific vision with God

00:11:56.700 that is experienced by the saints and angels in heaven.

00:11:59.600 So there is a very much qualitative difference there.

00:12:03.620 There is an argument,

00:12:04.900 and it's been made quite forcefully.

00:12:06.680 It was in discussion in Rome

00:12:08.220 already over a decade ago,

00:12:10.440 but it was the comparison of the babies

00:12:14.780 who died in Christ's stead, you might say,

00:12:18.980 when the Holy Family had to flee to Egypt.

00:12:23.520 The decree went out from Herod 0.99

00:12:24.960 to kill all the little babies, 0.99

00:12:26.740 two years old and under, male babies. 1.00

00:12:28.700 And that got executed.

00:12:31.960 And so hundreds or maybe more

00:12:34.240 of these little babies were killed.

00:12:37.200 We regard them as saints.

00:12:38.700 On December 28th,

00:12:39.680 we celebrate the Feast of the Holy Innocents

00:12:42.000 and regard all those children as saints.

00:12:44.440 So the argument has been made

00:12:45.880 that, you know,

00:12:47.580 all these unborn children

00:12:48.960 are in a very similar way saints.

00:12:53.240 And the move was,

00:12:55.580 the request was of this group

00:12:57.500 that's pushing forward this cause

00:12:58.920 to have them declared such.

00:13:02.660 And one of the, you know,

00:13:04.160 this is, of course,

00:13:04.980 what the main argument is,

00:13:07.120 the comparison to the Holy Innocents.

00:13:10.180 And they also say,

00:13:13.360 what an army of intercessors

00:13:15.200 that would be for us,

00:13:17.600 both to end the culture of death,

00:13:19.280 but also to help us

00:13:20.260 in our current struggles

00:13:22.160 that we have in the world today.

00:13:23.820 Your take on that?

00:13:24.900 Yeah, that's a great way

00:13:25.780 to think about it.

00:13:27.280 I'm actually rereading the notes

00:13:28.700 of St. Therese.

00:13:30.600 And she prayed to her,

00:13:33.280 she had lost several siblings

00:13:34.500 before she was born.

00:13:35.320 She was, of course,

00:13:35.680 the last one of her parents.

00:13:37.220 And she had prayed

00:13:37.960 to those lost siblings.

00:13:40.100 And I don't know

00:13:40.620 that all of them were baptized.

00:13:41.980 I guess if they were baptized,

00:13:42.900 they'd be in heaven.

00:13:44.080 And she prayed to them

00:13:45.140 to overcome her scruples.

00:13:46.480 And that helped.

00:13:47.740 And I believe there actually

00:13:48.540 is an unborn,

00:13:49.640 a preborn baby

00:13:50.740 who is part of a family

00:13:51.880 who's up for canonization.

00:13:53.900 So it's an interesting cause.

00:13:55.540 I actually didn't know about that.

00:13:56.980 But of course,

00:13:57.660 the Feast of the Holy Innocents

00:13:59.520 does in some way affirm

00:14:00.600 the idea that they are in heaven

00:14:02.320 if they can intercede for us.

00:14:04.540 So that's a beautiful cause.

00:14:05.880 I actually didn't know about that.

00:14:07.300 But I'd be happy to see

00:14:09.180 how that turns out.

00:14:10.600 Indeed.

00:14:11.260 And that is practice.

00:14:12.440 A lot of people

00:14:13.220 who have miscarried babies,

00:14:16.000 they're unable to,

00:14:17.260 you know,

00:14:17.540 we've had three ourselves.

00:14:20.180 And the intent

00:14:22.540 is there in a huge way.

00:14:24.620 All we want to do

00:14:25.420 with our children

00:14:25.880 is give them to our Lord.

00:14:27.560 It was our greatest desire

00:14:28.700 to have our babies,

00:14:30.540 baptize them.

00:14:31.600 And even should

00:14:32.460 they all have died,

00:14:34.040 you know,

00:14:35.420 the eight living children

00:14:36.480 we have.

00:14:37.600 It would have been

00:14:38.480 our greatest joy

00:14:39.340 to baptize them

00:14:39.940 and give them to the Lord.

00:14:41.260 So, you know,

00:14:42.800 that desire

00:14:43.980 is there

00:14:45.140 in spades

00:14:46.940 in terms of the parents

00:14:48.280 wanting to,

00:14:49.160 you know,

00:14:50.000 baptize their children.

00:14:50.980 And when they die in utero,

00:14:52.640 early or

00:14:53.460 unable to baptize anyway,

00:14:55.820 you know,

00:14:57.100 there's a lot of hope.

00:14:58.180 And a lot of these parents,

00:14:59.820 us included,

00:15:01.060 give names

00:15:01.680 to their unborn children

00:15:03.460 who they lose in utero

00:15:04.500 and encourage their children,

00:15:07.620 living children,

00:15:08.360 to use their intercession.

00:15:10.460 And I think

00:15:11.160 that's a beautiful practice.

00:15:12.160 I know it's a gray area,

00:15:13.760 but surely our Lord

00:15:15.760 looks after these little ones

00:15:17.000 whom he has called to himself

00:15:18.800 because,

00:15:19.400 you know,

00:15:20.160 in the cases of miscarriage,

00:15:22.440 that's not,

00:15:23.640 you know,

00:15:24.280 anyone's doing

00:15:25.520 but the Lord's.

00:15:26.160 The Lord's seen fit to that.

00:15:28.100 Praise be the Lord.

00:15:29.620 And while it's a cross,

00:15:31.940 I think that cross 0.94

00:15:33.240 is alleviated

00:15:34.340 and the reality mitigated

00:15:38.040 by the intercession

00:15:39.460 of your little ones.

00:15:42.340 Hey, my friends,

00:15:43.060 are you still looking

00:15:43.700 for a Christmas gift

00:15:44.480 for that someone special

00:15:45.320 on your list

00:15:45.800 who seems to have everything?

00:15:47.080 Well, I've got something for you.

00:15:48.320 We've got these

00:15:49.080 beautiful silver rounds.

00:15:50.600 They're one ounce

00:15:51.120 of pure silver.

00:15:52.300 And on it is,

00:15:53.420 of course,

00:15:53.800 a picture of LifeSite

00:15:55.060 commemorating our 25th

00:15:56.140 anniversary,

00:15:56.580 but also the anniversary

00:15:57.680 of the overturning

00:15:58.400 of Roe v. Wade.

00:15:59.620 Perfect little gift

00:16:00.760 for that person

00:16:01.380 on your list

00:16:01.840 who has everything.

00:16:02.500 God bless you.

00:16:05.160 God has stepped

00:16:05.940 into our world

00:16:06.820 and said something.

00:16:08.860 Only God could do

00:16:10.180 what we saw.

00:16:12.140 No human being

00:16:13.020 that I'm aware of

00:16:14.260 can replicate

00:16:15.480 that event.

00:16:16.180 We were there

00:16:20.440 with the cameras rolling.

00:16:23.440 Probably the best

00:16:24.300 of Australian

00:16:24.800 60 minutes

00:16:25.820 cameraman

00:16:26.400 and sound man

00:16:27.220 in the room.

00:16:28.280 I'd instructed

00:16:29.160 the cameraman

00:16:29.740 to click his camera

00:16:31.200 to real time,

00:16:32.160 not tape time,

00:16:33.220 so that we could

00:16:34.340 analyse afterwards

00:16:35.560 exactly what happened

00:16:37.180 in what time

00:16:37.980 over the period

00:16:38.800 because your camera

00:16:39.860 wouldn't have been

00:16:40.280 rolling for three hours

00:16:41.200 constantly

00:16:42.400 if there'd be breaks,

00:16:43.120 but we wanted to be able

00:16:44.040 to look at the progression.

00:16:45.800 There were others

00:16:46.260 in the room

00:16:46.640 and the stigmata

00:16:48.980 began

00:16:49.660 around about 12 noon.

00:16:51.860 Little tiny dots

00:16:52.940 appeared first

00:16:54.040 around the forehead region

00:16:55.600 as if they were

00:16:56.420 punchy winds and thorns.

00:16:58.520 Then a punch mark 0.60

00:16:59.960 appears on the face

00:17:01.040 and then from the fingers

00:17:02.920 to the hands

00:17:03.620 small red dots

00:17:05.140 you see

00:17:05.520 and then they progressively

00:17:07.160 grew in size

00:17:08.380 as the time went on

00:17:09.720 and in sympathy

00:17:10.680 with each other

00:17:11.380 and on the feet

00:17:12.360 top and bottom

00:17:13.320 and if you look

00:17:14.440 at the footage

00:17:15.100 that I presented

00:17:15.780 in my book

00:17:16.460 and on the documentary

00:17:17.220 you will see

00:17:18.400 that these wounds

00:17:19.760 are just not surface wounds

00:17:21.080 they're deep.

00:17:22.620 They look as if

00:17:24.040 a bolt has been

00:17:25.320 driven through those hands

00:17:26.540 and during the course

00:17:28.420 of her

00:17:29.680 she demonstrated

00:17:31.240 or exhibited

00:17:31.620 the signs

00:17:32.220 of what those

00:17:33.000 those pains

00:17:33.660 were doing to her

00:17:34.360 and almost to the

00:17:35.760 point of death.

00:17:36.900 It was an amazing

00:17:39.040 experience for everyone

00:17:40.040 to see.

00:17:40.940 Then the wounds

00:17:41.980 began to heal.

00:17:43.320 By the next morning

00:17:44.960 the wounds

00:17:46.160 had completely healed

00:17:47.280 beyond what science

00:17:49.100 could ever explain

00:17:49.820 or medical opinion

00:17:50.780 could say

00:17:51.360 they were completely gone.

00:17:53.080 Normally it would take

00:17:53.780 six weeks to a month

00:17:55.320 for you know

00:17:57.120 if you cut yourself

00:17:57.680 and it's quite deep

00:17:59.500 it doesn't disappear

00:18:00.460 by the next morning.

00:18:02.140 So all of these things

00:18:03.420 that occurred

00:18:04.140 in that experience

00:18:05.320 and it had quite an effect

00:18:07.340 as it was shown

00:18:07.980 to about 30 odd million

00:18:09.100 29 million people

00:18:10.240 throughout the United States.

00:18:11.720 but the interesting thing

00:18:13.160 is at the end

00:18:13.740 of that stigmata

00:18:14.640 Jesus gave her

00:18:15.800 a message

00:18:16.120 and said

00:18:16.660 I've committed

00:18:18.040 this to happen

00:18:18.880 so that you may

00:18:20.400 show the world

00:18:21.180 what I suffered

00:18:22.000 in my passion.

00:18:23.940 And when you

00:18:24.560 wind back

00:18:25.200 and think about

00:18:26.020 what has happened

00:18:27.120 God has stepped

00:18:29.020 into our world

00:18:29.900 and said something

00:18:31.060 only God

00:18:32.580 could do

00:18:33.260 what we saw.

00:18:35.240 No human being

00:18:36.100 that I'm aware of

00:18:37.320 can replicate

00:18:38.560 that event

00:18:39.280 to say

00:18:40.340 someone could say

00:18:42.340 I'm going to have

00:18:43.020 this stigmata

00:18:43.540 in two months time

00:18:44.480 you can fill me now

00:18:46.060 and fill me then

00:18:46.740 have it there

00:18:47.400 where you go

00:18:47.900 and then

00:18:48.820 have the wounds

00:18:50.420 of the crucifixion

00:18:51.280 appear

00:18:51.700 in the exact locations

00:18:53.840 of Christ's crucifixion

00:18:55.860 with the degree

00:18:56.960 the depth

00:18:57.560 the impact

00:18:58.580 that each of those wounds

00:18:59.640 had

00:18:59.880 and for them

00:19:00.520 to disappear.

00:19:01.200 So

00:19:02.540 God was working

00:19:04.220 and we know

00:19:05.660 that

00:19:06.000 God is not beyond

00:19:07.780 stepping into our world

00:19:08.860 to tell us something

00:19:09.660 from time to time.

00:19:11.260 The interesting thing

00:19:12.240 about what's happened

00:19:13.120 the person

00:19:15.120 who was

00:19:15.880 crucified

00:19:16.720 2,000 years

00:19:18.520 and died

00:19:19.380 is talking

00:19:20.660 to someone

00:19:21.180 today

00:19:21.780 and saying

00:19:23.120 I'm going to let you

00:19:23.980 experience

00:19:24.800 and erase from the dead

00:19:26.060 according to

00:19:27.020 our beliefs

00:19:27.900 is appearing

00:19:29.000 to someone today

00:19:29.760 and telling them

00:19:30.500 I'm going to allow you

00:19:31.900 to experience

00:19:32.980 what I experience

00:19:33.720 and I want to show

00:19:34.380 the world

00:19:34.960 what I've done

00:19:35.980 what's happened

00:19:36.760 so that you will

00:19:37.700 believe in me

00:19:38.480 a very powerful experience

00:19:40.680 now

00:19:40.920 my friend

00:19:41.940 the journalist

00:19:42.680 he was

00:19:44.560 placed

00:19:45.400 almost in that position

00:19:46.580 as Thomas was

00:19:47.800 when Jesus

00:19:49.000 appeared to his

00:19:49.640 apostles

00:19:50.060 in that room

00:19:50.720 after the resurrection

00:19:51.560 Thomas didn't believe

00:19:54.140 so

00:19:54.760 the following week

00:19:56.180 he calls Thomas in

00:19:57.020 okay Thomas

00:19:58.240 have a look here

00:19:58.960 he touches

00:20:00.440 those wounds

00:20:01.260 and proclaims

00:20:02.880 my Lord

00:20:03.660 and my God

00:20:04.340 he knew

00:20:05.340 that he'd been killed

00:20:06.420 on a Friday

00:20:07.340 he knew

00:20:08.160 that he was there

00:20:08.820 alive

00:20:09.220 he could see

00:20:09.960 the evidence

00:20:10.600 of what they did

00:20:11.500 to him

00:20:11.860 and he was able

00:20:12.660 to touch them

00:20:13.520 the world

00:20:14.940 was given

00:20:15.420 the opportunity

00:20:16.060 to be in that

00:20:16.640 same room

00:20:17.240 with Thomas

00:20:17.800 in that experience

00:20:19.020 and my friend

00:20:19.980 Mike Willis

00:20:20.500 he also

00:20:21.020 because after that

00:20:22.820 he also

00:20:24.340 proclaimed

00:20:24.880 my Lord

00:20:25.500 and my God

00:20:26.040 it changed

00:20:26.880 his life

00:20:27.500 you know

00:20:27.960 how they'd say

00:20:28.540 from the fruit

00:20:29.340 you shall know

00:20:30.000 them

00:20:30.260 this story

00:20:31.840 this story

00:20:32.280 the passion

00:20:32.880 of Christ

00:20:33.780 exhibited in the

00:20:34.360 stigmata

00:20:34.780 like that

00:20:35.260 is one of those

00:20:37.540 events

00:20:37.940 we've seen

00:20:39.560 stories of this

00:20:40.480 stigmata

00:20:40.900 back in St. Francis's

00:20:42.120 time

00:20:42.460 Padre Pio's time

00:20:43.740 but never been able

00:20:45.820 to carry forward

00:20:46.720 that experience

00:20:47.480 to the real world

00:20:48.820 today

00:20:49.280 with the

00:20:50.220 ammunition

00:20:51.040 that we have

00:20:51.580 today

00:20:51.820 to be able

00:20:52.280 to present

00:20:52.960 to the world

00:20:53.940 through television

00:20:54.720 this story

00:20:55.840 it was a

00:20:56.960 major story

00:20:57.780 it goes to

00:20:59.520 the credibility

00:21:00.120 of this person

00:21:01.040 in many ways

00:21:02.700 and it's only

00:21:03.140 just one mosaic

00:21:04.120 in the full

00:21:05.360 picture of this

00:21:06.380 person

00:21:06.760 so it was a

00:21:08.400 very important

00:21:08.880 story for us

00:21:09.640 and for my

00:21:10.080 journalist friend

00:21:10.800 now this

00:21:11.640 journalist

00:21:12.080 who decided

00:21:13.820 that God

00:21:14.340 wasn't real

00:21:14.900 in his life

00:21:15.420 after that

00:21:16.060 event

00:21:16.340 joined me

00:21:18.400 for 20

00:21:19.000 years

00:21:19.560 working on

00:21:20.700 stories

00:21:21.200 of presenting

00:21:23.000 my book

00:21:23.380 and the

00:21:23.580 documentaries

00:21:24.020 he became

00:21:25.700 an active

00:21:26.660 assistant

00:21:27.420 in trying

00:21:28.360 to tell

00:21:28.800 the reality

00:21:29.340 of these

00:21:29.700 stories

00:21:30.000 that God

00:21:30.420 is intervening

00:21:31.480 in our world

00:21:31.920 today

00:21:32.280 and for a reason

00:21:33.260 but it's a

00:21:34.960 great and

00:21:36.580 powerful story

00:21:37.600 a first in

00:21:39.000 human history

00:21:39.640 to my knowledge

00:21:40.620 if someone else

00:21:41.400 can present

00:21:41.880 a similar thing

00:21:42.920 I'd be keen

00:21:43.720 to know about it

00:21:44.420 and to follow it up

00:21:54.020 what would be more

00:22:05.480 if it isn't

00:22:06.120 or that

00:22:06.820 or that

00:22:07.720 you

00:22:08.240 know

00:22:08.860 you
