00:02:22.320 who in 1917 saw the Mother of Christ and received secret messages from Our Lady.

00:02:40.320 Sister Lucia revealed that in 1946 interview,
00:02:45.180 that Our Lady had revealed to her that even the United States of America

00:02:51.540 if Russia was not consecrated to her Immaculate Heart by the Pope

00:03:08.640 Dr. Hickson wrote at LifeSite News of the interview conducted
00:03:12.520 by the well-respected American historian and author,
00:03:15.520 William Thomas Walsh.
00:03:17.000 In 1947, Professor Walsh authored a book about Fatima titled,
00:03:21.760 Our Lady of Fatima.
00:03:22.480 And at the end, he recounted in an epilogue the interview which he had conducted with Sister Lucia
00:03:29.980 the year before, so it was in 1946.
00:03:33.880 Now, one of the messages of Fatima received by the children in 1917
00:03:39.000 pertains to the then impending Bolshevik revolution in Russia.
00:03:43.440 And in the interview with Professor Walsh, she said, and I quote,
00:03:49.660 What Our Lady wants is that the Pope and all the bishops in the world
00:03:52.540 shall consecrate Russia to her Immaculate Heart on one special day.
00:03:56.500 If this is done, she will convert Russia and there will be peace.
00:03:59.940 If it is not done, the errors of Russia will spread through every country in the world.
00:04:05.620 Now, Walsh asked, according to this write-up that's in his book and in the epilogue, it says,
00:04:13.840 Does this mean, in your opinion, that every country without exception will be overcome by communism?
00:04:20.940 And Sister Lucia answered, Yes.
00:04:23.900 The interpreter during the interview, allowing Walsh, of course, to converse with Sister Lucia
00:04:28.420 in her native Portuguese, was Father Manuel Roca.
00:04:32.320 And he later revealed that Walsh asked explicitly about the United States of America,
00:04:38.640 adding, and I quote,
00:04:39.800 And does that mean the United States of America too?
00:04:42.860 End quote.
00:04:43.700 And Sister Lucia responded once more, saying, Yes.
00:04:47.880 That is to say, the seer of the apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima,
00:04:51.280 which have been approved by the Catholic Church,
00:04:53.800 predicted that the United States, under certain conditions,
00:04:57.480 would also be overcome by communism.
00:05:00.520 Now, Dr. Hickson, in her LifeSite News article,
00:05:03.620 notes that in 1946, Lucia's response might have sounded, well, somewhat unrealistic,
00:05:08.900 given that it was just after the Second World War,
00:05:11.420 and it was the beginning of the Cold War.
00:05:13.660 However, today, as we see the revolutionary riots in many American cities,
00:05:19.500 it's really a different story.
00:05:21.880 To appreciate how much communism has affected,

00:05:27.980 requires actually an appreciation for communism itself and its goals.
00:05:32.960 Now, communism is thought mainly to be like an economic system competing with capitalism.

00:05:42.880 the spread of Russia's errors becomes recognizable.

00:05:49.300 It's probably the most concise and straightforward source
00:05:52.560 outlining communist goals and ideology.
00:05:54.620 It was written in 1962 by W. Cleon Skousen,
00:05:58.540 a former FBI agent who used many original sources
00:06:01.840 and the best intelligence of the FBI
00:06:04.060 during its investigation of communist infiltration into the United States.
00:06:08.600 He also published in there a list of 45 current communist goals.
00:06:13.860 In fact, that list of 45 communist goals
00:06:17.900 were recorded in the congressional record in 1963.
00:06:22.940 President Ronald Reagan commented on the book's author,
00:06:27.020 Cleon Skousen, saying,
