The John-Henry Westen Show - How to live with hope in God through secure financial investments ｜ Drew Mason

00:00:00.000 To say, I knew this was going to happen, but I just didn't do anything about it. I stood there

00:00:03.660 like a deer in headlights. It's not difficult. It shouldn't be scary. This is not Armageddon.

00:00:09.560 This is saying the sun's going to come up the day after the dollar paradigm ends.

00:00:13.780 It's a question, have you taken the steps necessary to be ready so that your family

00:00:18.300 can have great opportunities for the future?

00:00:20.660 Hey, my friends, with all the craziness going on around the Holy Land, still in Russia, Ukraine, 0.99

00:00:34.320 and also in the Far East, I wanted to bring you an update on the financial markets so that

00:00:42.380 you can help prepare your families for what's coming. And not only prepare financially, which

00:00:50.500 we help you to do with our great partnership with St. Joseph Partners, who are really, really

00:00:57.240 highly rated and trustworthy. Folks who sell gold, who sell silver, who enable people to make safe

00:01:04.000 investments for their families, but also wanted to talk about spiritual preparation and how that's

00:01:12.980 important and the ways to do it properly. Our guest today on the John Henry Weston Show is Drew Mason.

00:01:19.600 Uh, who is the founder and head of St. Joseph's Partners. Stay tuned.

00:01:24.860 Hello, dear LifeSite family. The very first Christmas was a dark time, with the world in

00:01:32.280 the clutches of a foreign and hostile power, and with religious leaders betraying God and their

00:01:37.900 flocks at every opportunity. But yet, it was in that very time that the angels joyfully announced

00:01:43.940 to the shepherds the birth of the long-awaited Messiah, the Holy One of Israel, Jesus the Christ.

00:01:49.080 And we are in very similar times again. Millions of people worldwide are searching for truth and light

00:01:57.580 as our fragile world seems to be growing darker by the day. Our work at LifeSite News results from

00:02:04.680 an unwavering trust in our holy call to evangelize, to bring the world the truth, ultimately the fullness

00:02:12.260 of the truth himself. At LifeSite, we pledge ourselves anew to boldly ring out the truth of Christ

00:02:20.560 on life, faith, family, and freedom. We're in the midst of our second annual Gifts of Gratitude

00:02:26.480 Christmas campaign, and invite you to join us in celebrating LifeSite News' special way of sharing

00:02:33.380 reflections and reactions directly from the heart about what truly motivates us here to work for you

00:02:40.580 on the front lines of the culture war. So during our Christmas campaign, we must raise $750,000

00:02:46.540 in order to meet the minimum amount required to keep our news mission and operations going.

00:02:52.740 So we rely on your gracious help and support to keep our truthful news mission going, especially

00:02:59.660 as we close 2023 and embrace the lean and early winter months. This is our largest goal of the entire

00:03:08.160 year, and one that requires each of you to prayerfully consider a donation. Please know that

00:03:15.080 any amount helps. To give your own personal gift of gratitude, you can donate by clicking on the big

00:03:22.160 red banner at the main homepage of LifeSite News, or the giving link that can be found below in the

00:03:28.400 video description box. It is only through your love, prayers, and generous support for our mission

00:03:34.300 that we are able to continue reporting the truth without compromise. This Christmas season, let each

00:03:40.920 of us do what we can to be the light that we are called to be in this culture of darkness, and so we

00:03:48.460 can enable the truth himself to shine ever so brightly as a result. So I want to thank you so much for your

00:03:56.540 unwavering support and continued prayers for LifeSite News, and I pray you have a happy and holy Christmas.

00:04:03.320 May God bless you.

00:04:05.700 Drew, so good to be with you again.

00:04:07.300 Praise be Jesus. Great to see you, John Henry.

00:04:09.900 Let's begin as we always do with the sign of the cross. In the name of the Father, and of the Son,

00:04:14.860 and of the Holy Ghost. Amen.

00:04:18.000 Amen.

00:04:18.280 So, Drew, if we can start off with what's going on financially, because I know many of us are paying

00:04:25.860 attention to the world and what's happening there. We see the war in the Holy Land. We see Russia, 0.89

00:04:32.620 Ukraine still going on, and noises from the Far East as well. There's so much instability in our world.

00:04:39.920 How is that being reflected in the financial markets, and why should Catholics be concerned to

00:04:46.860 prepare for themselves and their families?

00:04:49.120 Thank you, John Henry. So, since we've been together, the events have been extremely noteworthy

00:04:55.320 in the markets, too. The headlines may hold up one story to tell, but what we see happening is a

00:05:02.400 greater focus, and I would say an urgency being displayed on the part of governments to sell,

00:05:10.220 reduce their holdings in dollar assets, T-bills, T-bonds, and moving into gold. So, 2023 will be a

00:05:18.500 record year where the world's central banks who control all the money that we use, who really

00:05:24.940 control the savings of the working class, they're voting with their wallets, sell dollars, buy gold. 0.71

00:05:31.920 We have even had, since we spoke last, John Henry, at least one of the European central banks

00:05:38.180 admit that they are preparing for a new gold standard. The central banks, really everyone

00:05:45.340 around the world is recognizing the dollar's day as a sole reserve currency is ending. And when you

00:05:53.080 look at the price of gold in world currencies, it's hitting all-time highs. And not only is it hitting

00:06:00.700 an all-time high, but the rate of change is accelerating, meaning the speed in which gold's price is

00:06:08.040 ascending relative to these world currencies is getting faster, the curve is getting steeper.

00:06:13.880 People are saying, we need to have some gold. It's an incredible admission for the central banks to say,

00:06:20.440 yes, the reason we are buying gold is because we see this new paradigm unfolding where we'll be back

00:06:26.800 to where we were previously in financial history, that the world will use gold as a currency for trading

00:06:33.580 and for wealth preservation. In addition, John Henry, we had an extremely noteworthy comment article come

00:06:41.260 out. And it was written by one of the most respected investors of our generation, who is the former

00:06:46.860 CEO of PIMCO Asset Management. PIMCO runs over a trillion dollars. It's trillion with a T, most of it

00:06:57.280 in bonds. And what he admitted is that we are seeing the U.S. Treasury bond, which is denominated in

00:07:07.260 dollars, we are seeing it, quote, unquote, lose its strategic significance, end quote. So really,

00:07:15.720 all financial advisors today build their models, their recommendations to families upon this notion

00:07:23.260 that the T-bill, the dollar, is the risk, what they call the risk-free asset. It's as close as

00:07:31.680 to perfect safety as you can get. And when you look at the construction of portfolios, this is still

00:07:38.340 the rubrics that they are using. Now, what this PIMCO CEO is admitting is this is totally flawed.

00:07:47.960 The foundation upon which Americans and families around the world are building their financial

00:07:53.300 futures on is broken. And it begs the question, OK, well, if that's the case, isn't history again

00:08:00.980 going to manifest itself that a currency like the dollar and all of its instruments, CDs, T-bills,

00:08:08.480 T-bonds, aren't they, as has always happened in history, going to see their value, the purchasing

00:08:14.760 power they represent, implode. And that's what he is suggesting we are in the early innings of.

00:08:21.400 When that happens, people look for something that is safe and liquid. And when they begin asking

00:08:28.380 themselves then, what is safe? They're going to be reminded, not just the last 50 years or 100 years,

00:08:34.520 but going back as far as we can find in financial history, gold has worked. And so we think that is

00:08:39.880 the insight that these central banks are looking at to give them this urgency to diversify into gold.

00:08:49.300 So we would say to all families out there, we are called to be good stewards. You concluded John

00:08:54.920 Henry by saying, why should Catholic families do something? We're concluded to be good stewards.

00:09:00.520 Joseph protected his family and led them, got them out of trouble when his child was potentially going

00:09:07.900 to be persecuted from Bethlehem. We are called to be good stewards. And financially, how are you going

00:09:15.280 to look yourself in the mirror? How are you going to be accountable for the blessings that you've been

00:09:19.720 entrusted with so far when this accelerates and the dollars lose their value? To say, I knew this was

00:09:27.780 going to happen, but I just didn't do anything about it. I stood there like a deer in headlights.

00:09:31.580 It's not difficult. It shouldn't be scary. This is not Armageddon. This is saying the sun's going to

00:09:37.820 come up the day after the dollar paradigm ends. It's a question, have you taken the steps necessary

00:09:42.880 to be ready so that your family can have great opportunities for the future? As this new financial

00:09:49.180 paradigm unfolds, he who has the gold will have greater influence. And we want Christians to have

00:09:56.260 even greater influence in society moving forward. And again, the ability to protect your family,

00:10:01.900 give them great opportunities. It's interesting you mentioned St. Joseph there because in gifting his

00:10:08.580 son at his birth, our Lord chose to bring the wise men there who gifted them with, yes, frankincense and

00:10:17.620 myrrh, but also with gold right from the get-go. So it's just an interesting thing there,

00:10:23.720 if you have a comment about that. It's embarrassing, John, but when we named this

00:10:27.160 firm St. Joseph Partners, we didn't have this big understanding of why we were doing that. We just

00:10:32.800 felt led to do it and obeyed. And as you reflect on the life of St. Joseph, isn't he so representative

00:10:39.440 of us today, right? The government clearly hated his family. They wanted to kill his family. And he

00:10:48.480 figured out, obviously with great help from the Holy Spirit, a role model for us, he looked at the

00:10:53.140 Holy Spirit and had great inspiration on how to protect his family. And in all likelihood,

00:10:58.700 having just been given gold, gold may have been central to how they function as he led them out

00:11:05.020 into the desert and into Africa for three years. Because back then, as is the case today, if you 0.92

00:11:10.700 have gold, wherever you are in the world, you have liquidity, you have wealth, the ability to protect

00:11:15.400 him and care for your family. I liked what you said there, that we want Christians to have a means

00:11:22.400 of influence in the world. Let's talk about that. Because there's different opinions out there about,

00:11:29.720 you know, wealth and Christianity and what we're supposed to do with it. And talk to us a little bit

00:11:37.340 about that. Because I think it's a really interesting concept. There is a concept within,

00:11:42.920 it was, it's in Judaism, it was there in ancient Judaism, but also in Protestant cultures actually

00:11:50.360 have it much more than Catholics, I find anyway, that they support one another inside the faith

00:11:56.980 community. They have a preferential option for other Jews and other Protestants. But we seem to be 0.69

00:12:03.880 a bit lacking, well, more than a bit lacking in that regard inside the Catholic Church.

00:12:08.380 You're 100% right, John Henry. And the timeliness of what you're saying is interesting, because

00:12:14.040 the recent Daily Mass reading reflected on, if we don't care for our own, we are worse than infidel, 0.90

00:12:23.860 which is the worst, the scripture describes. If we don't care for our own, we are worse than infidel. 0.83

00:12:28.460 So, in my opinion, John Henry, Jesus warned us about people who would be in Roman collars, 0.98

00:12:36.660 who would be wolves in sheep's clothing, who would destroy, as best they could, the church.

00:12:43.800 And in my opinion, what we see the bishops doing, having taken billions of dollars from the U.S.

00:12:51.120 government, and then choosing to walk away from proclaiming the faith and instead

00:12:55.440 to exercise their role, aiding the U.S. government with illegal immigrants and preaching to people to 0.97

00:13:02.040 go and take your money and go to foreign nations and build houses for people you don't know or do

00:13:07.280 whatever it is. In contrast, what Jesus did when he sent out his apostles was singular. He told them

00:13:15.040 to evangelize, and he sent them first to his own. And so, if you think about it and you pray about it,

00:13:22.320 I think you're going to conclude that one of the many important and one of the most important

00:13:28.600 strategies for Satan to destroy the church has been that he would use the influence of bishops

00:13:37.080 to speak and guide Catholics who care about their faith, essentially to walk away from evangelization

00:13:43.820 and to go do social justice. Instead, what we should be doing is bringing the faith to our own.

00:13:52.500 We have an absolute epidemic. Where is the epidemic? It's right now in the Catholic Church with our youth 1.00

00:13:58.140 and with our families. Dropout rates, 90%. 90%. What's the percent of those people who are going to make

00:14:04.020 it to heaven? Who knows? Why? Because when they've been in Catholic schools, they haven't been formed

00:14:08.240 correctly. They haven't been taught scripture. Because Jesus said, you're easily fooled because

00:14:14.080 you don't know scripture. It's not a coincidence our children are not taught scripture. So, just think,

00:14:20.400 if we can get some of these leaders, lay leaders, and I call out to you, decide that you are not going

00:14:27.140 to support financially the diocese or this charity or that charity that's social. You are going to focus

00:14:33.160 on evangelization, on reaching out to the kids, whether it's yourselves hiring people to go out

00:14:39.740 and minister to these children to teach them or some of the great organizations that are already

00:14:47.140 in place to do this. This is what we have to do to take back the church. I submit, John Henry, that right

00:14:53.840 now, if we could see our youth as heaven sees it, it is set to be a field of blaze. All we need is

00:15:03.040 is a little spark of the Holy Spirit. And we're going to see a scripture describes the fire start

00:15:08.880 going through the stubble at an incredible rate. The youth are so hungry. They have been face to face

00:15:14.800 with evil. They are empty from the way they've been formed. They are looking for the light. And if we

00:15:20.580 will take it to them, if you will take it to them, they will respond. And this is how we'll renew the

00:15:26.100 church. And then as we're reading about in scriptures today at the masses, God lets the nation

00:15:31.800 suffer. He lets suffering go on. He lets horrible leadership take place. He lets injustice reign

00:15:38.480 until we repent. And that is the first job of us as Christians and as evangelists is to say,

00:15:46.360 let's go, let's repent, let's obey the Lord. And once we do that, then the blessings will come

00:15:51.220 and we will take back our church and we will take back our country.

00:15:54.860 What you're saying there, Drew, is quite controversial.

00:15:57.040 Hey, my friends, are you still looking for a Christmas gift for that someone special on

00:16:02.140 your list who seems to have everything? Well, I've got something for you. We've got these

00:16:05.740 beautiful silver rounds. They're one ounce of pure silver. And on it is, of course, a picture of

00:16:11.360 LifeSite commemorating our 25th anniversary, but also the anniversary of the overturning of Roe v.

00:16:15.720 Wade. Perfect little gift for that person on your list who has everything. God bless you.

00:16:19.580 And I agree with you a hundred percent that the over-focus on the care for the poor, this sort

00:16:28.500 of outreach, has become sort of the only thing. It seems like the whole focus of the church right

00:16:35.500 from Pope Francis down is against, actually, evangelization, proselytization as it's characterized

00:16:42.820 or caricatured. And it is work with the poor for the poor, do this, that, and the other thing.

00:16:49.960 Everything but evangelize. And I want to bring to mind something that Mother Miriam said, which I

00:16:58.300 think was so accurate, but deemed even to be dangerous. Because she said something rather

00:17:07.460 stunning. She said the greatest form of antisemitism is keeping Jesus from the Jews. And it's so stunning 0.71

00:17:14.000 because she means it to include the whole of Nazism and everything else. She's saying that the greatest 0.82

00:17:19.700 form of antisemitism was not even under the Nazis. It's when we refuse to evangelize our Jewish brothers 0.56

00:17:29.500 and sisters, our Islamic brothers and sisters, Buddhists go down the list. If we're not bringing Jesus, 1.00

00:17:37.460 to them, we are harming. If we purposefully deny them Christ, we are inviting damnation in our own

00:17:47.420 heads as well. It's really stunning. And your call to invest in evangelization is, I think, the most

00:17:59.260 important call. The scriptures tell us, seek first the kingdom of God and all the rest shall be given

00:18:08.420 too. I'd love your take. Supporting what you're saying, allow me to share a scripture passage that

00:18:13.780 I don't think most Catholics are aware of. This is from Sirach chapter 12. So you can look this up

00:18:21.260 when you do. When you do a good deed, make sure you know who is benefiting from it. Then what you do will

00:18:29.420 not be wasted. You won't be repaid for any kindness you show to a devout person. If he doesn't repay you the

00:18:37.240 most high will, no good ever comes to a person who gives comfort to the wicked. It is not a righteous act.

00:18:45.820 Give to religious people, but don't help sinners. Do good to humble people, but don't give anything 0.98

00:18:54.460 to those who are not devout. Don't give them food, or they will use your kindness against you. Every good

00:19:04.320 thing you do for such people will bring you twice as much trouble in return. The most high himself hates

00:19:12.660 sinners, and he will punish them. Give to good people, but do not help sinners.

00:19:20.540 Wait, wait, that was all from the scriptures?

00:19:23.960 Yes, that was Sirach chapter 12. That was not me. That is Sirach chapter 12, and we'll get that to you,

00:19:29.380 and you can put it up there. What verses are those? Sirach chapter 12?

00:19:33.300 I believe that is verse 1 through 7. We'll get that to you for sure. But if you think about that,

00:19:40.880 and you relate that to Jesus, again, think about his comments. We had Mary at his feet adoring him,

00:19:50.100 right? A prelude to the Eucharist adoring him. And Martha said, get her off her knees. Get her out 1.00

00:19:57.220 here and help me to serve the food. And she just said, Mary has chosen the better part. And later,

00:20:03.640 we see Martha clearly learn from that and embrace that as we want to lead with adoring Jesus. What did

00:20:11.560 Mother Teresa say, patron saint perhaps of our ages? She didn't say the world will be renewed when

00:20:18.920 everyone goes out and helps a poor person. She said the world will be renewed when every parish has

00:20:25.440 adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. So she's seeing what is job one, what is most important. And again,

00:20:32.360 think about what Jesus did. He said, the poor you always have with us. But he channeled the

00:20:38.700 apostles. He sent them out two by two. He didn't isolate them like our current bishops have isolated

00:20:43.580 our current priests. Sent out two by two to go out and evangelize. So it is the most politically

00:20:50.560 incorrect charity to talk about Jesus and making him the center of our world. The fact that it's so

00:20:58.680 incorrect should be a hint to us that it is so important.

00:21:03.160 You raise an interesting point there. And it would sound to many like the perfect counterpoint to what

00:21:10.080 you said, because you raised Mother Teresa. Isn't she the model of helping the poor and not evangelizing?

00:21:20.520 Great question, John Henry. And we are hopeful that the missionaries of charity will have a

00:21:26.860 conversation with us to really delve into this in a public venue about that. But again, those are her

00:21:33.220 words, that if you want to renew the world, we have to have adoration first. And I think, John Henry,

00:21:41.060 you know, one of the greatest scripture scholars of all time is Satan, right? He was quoting scripture

00:21:47.340 to Jesus. He knows it. And he takes the scriptures and he twists them for his own benefit. And I believe

00:21:54.480 one of the words he likes to use most in the notions is love. It's really not love. It's really

00:22:00.360 misplaced love, or in some cases, outright disobedience to the Lord, right? When he came to

00:22:06.040 Peter and the church was just founded, Peter was just made the rock. He was the leader. That whole scene

00:22:11.860 in scripture, which is why you and I are Catholic to this day. He didn't go to Peter and say,

00:22:16.340 hey, Peter, I'm Satan. I want to destroy Jesus. I want to destroy the church. I'm a nobody, but I'm

00:22:21.380 just full of hate. Let's go destroy him. You knew that wouldn't have worked. So we see him 1.00

00:22:26.000 whispering to Peter, hey, Peter, you love Jesus, don't you? Peter, do you love him? Well, Peter,

00:22:34.740 if you love him, you can't let him crucify him. Come on, Peter, are you a man? Stand up.

00:22:40.100 Don't just sit there and let them do that to him. We see Peter is so worked up by Satan.

00:22:45.380 And with his good heart, he goes out and Jesus says, Satan, get behind me. The only time he ever

00:22:52.820 describes anyone and addresses anyone as Satan in scriptures was to the person who was, at that

00:22:58.620 moment in time, our first pontiff, our first church leader. And when we see scriptures that can be

00:23:05.720 interpreted in different ways, I submit, John Henry, what we want to do is we want to look at

00:23:10.400 the scripture that is the most definitive, that is the most clear and overlay that to scripture that

00:23:17.760 is more ambiguous or vague, right? So scriptures clearly talk to us about loving. What is love,

00:23:24.760 though? To Mother Miriam's point, love is carrying the gospel. That's the ultimate love, right? So that

00:23:30.460 someone doesn't miss out on heaven. And who should we love? His brothers, he said, right? Or his

00:23:35.860 brothers, what you talked about at the top of the show. His brothers and his sisters are those who

00:23:40.540 obey the commandments. That's who we should be beginning with, with our charity. And then it

00:23:45.960 talks about, you know, giving to others. But what did St. Paul say? He was crystal clear,

00:23:52.480 work or starve. So was St. Paul full of hate? Or is that actually love? Counseling someone who is

00:24:00.400 depending on other people's charity, that's not going to go well with the Lord. You got to pick

00:24:04.760 yourself up and you got to work or starve. Again, those are not my words. Who cares what I say? This

00:24:10.340 is exactly what the scripture, what the scripture is saying. So I submit, John Henry, we're not putting

00:24:18.020 any effort, any time into evangelization. We're putting it all into social justice and it's not

00:24:23.960 working well. It's not working well. We want to go to evangelization and let the Holy Spirit rain down

00:24:29.860 and I want to make sure this is coming across in a wrapper of optimism and hope and enthusiasm for

00:24:37.140 the future. Because one of the most beautiful realities is that evil and Satan has had to pump

00:24:42.600 so much money, so much effort into all these lies to get people to believe them. But we just need

00:24:48.340 one witness like you watching this show to go out and talk to a high school student or to support

00:24:55.640 an evangelization program at a school. Just one witness, that'll be the Holy Spirit getting into

00:25:01.100 that child and that'll be the spark that runs ablaze. So it's really a very uneven playing field to our

00:25:07.800 advantage if we'll just focus like our Lord encouraged his, like our Lord led the apostles to focus and turn to

00:25:15.760 him. Wanted to just answer some of, you know, the thought vis-a-vis Mother Teresa. Unlike a lot of the

00:25:25.120 missionary work you might say today by lay people, even orders who refuse to wear a habit, Mother Teresa

00:25:35.120 was very insistent about wearing a religious habit. Everyone knew who she was and who her sisters

00:25:45.580 were because they wore a religious habit. They were the brides of Christ. There was no question

00:25:51.080 anybody thought, oh, maybe this is someone else. This is someone not related to Catholicism.

00:25:56.780 This is someone who is just working out of charity and we love her and only her and we don't give a

00:26:02.480 thought to where she comes from. No. In fact, she made it known as well that they had hours of adoration 0.83

00:26:08.540 every day themselves. And this is the power that from which she drew. And of course, she did even baptize

00:26:19.180 some of the people who asked for baptism because she let her actions being the hands of Christ, the eyes of

00:26:26.720 Christ, the voice of Christ manifest to them in a way that wasn't overbearing. It couldn't be said of her that

00:26:33.840 she was forcing religion down anyone's throat. But what she was doing is demonstrating it. Her work, 0.99

00:26:40.960 I think, is rightfully described as a work of evangelization rather than anything else. More

00:26:48.440 so than a work of charity for the poor and whatever else. It's a true charity for the poor. She,

00:26:56.900 of course, knew the greatest form of evangelization is not to save the body. It's to save them for

00:27:04.380 eternal life. So she did exactly that. Although the, I think, false caricature of her is the one

00:27:12.040 that's all about helping the poor in trying to not evangelize. That is a false characterization.

00:27:20.500 Her sisters, also still around in the world today, have that same, you know, spirit of

00:27:27.880 evangelization. And her great courage, Sean, when in the face of the most powerful on earth, the

00:27:37.940 Clintons, when she came to America, she talked about abortion. The worst thing to talk about with the 1.00

00:27:44.780 Clintons, but there she was. And talking also about the greater poverty in the West because of our lack

00:27:56.140 of faith than they have in India with all of the physical poor and destitution that goes on there. 1.00

00:28:04.080 Absolutely stunning.

00:28:05.580 And there she was, John Henry, following Jesus's model for the day, each day, right? So many times in

00:28:11.200 scripture, we see Jesus going out well before dawn, well before sunrise, during the fourth watch to

00:28:18.100 pray. And that's the model she followed, too, that we should all be following, whether we're doctors,

00:28:25.840 school teachers, students, to just begin the day with him in prayer, adoring him, and then whatever else

00:28:34.440 it is we are called to do, we'll have a totally different spirit and tone about it.

00:28:39.980 I'd love to talk to you about that last bit, too, because that is an important thing, whatever we're

00:28:44.800 called to do. How do you get there? How do you know what you're called to do? Day to day, we have the time

00:28:51.160 that we're allotted. How do we spend it? How do we pay attention to what God wants us to do? And how do we

00:28:57.680 know what that is? How do we carry it out?

00:28:59.880 All the youth who are watching this, how can you make any important decisions without praying about it? You have a

00:29:06.420 ticket, you have an opportunity to sit down one on one with the CEO of the universe who turns the lights on in the

00:29:12.240 sun every morning, and who is incredibly focused on just you, and all the details, he took the time to number the

00:29:18.960 hairs on your head. He knows everything about you. But he's not going to force himself on you. He wants to be

00:29:25.420 invited into your life. So I submit we do just what our Lord did. And that is get up early when the

00:29:33.880 spirit most likes to talk, right? That's why Jesus went out early. That's when we see the spirit talking

00:29:39.240 and God visiting humanity in the Garden of Eden at fourth watch, which is about three to six a.m.

00:29:45.280 Get up early and reach out to him. Begin by praising him. That's what we're supposed to do. Our prayer

00:29:52.520 should be dominated by praise, not gimme, gimme, gimme, but praise. Just realizing how awesome you

00:30:00.260 are, how majestic you are, and singing to him, right? How many times does scripture say to sing? So even

00:30:05.760 early in the morning there, just praising him, singing. I submit we read scriptures. My favorite

00:30:12.240 scripture study tool is the daily readings at mass. It's what's going to be the most widely studied

00:30:17.960 scripture passages in the world that day. There are no coincidences. That's what's on the spirit's

00:30:23.240 mind. And then after you've consumed that, I encourage you to pray the rosary and just ask him,

00:30:29.900 you know, say to him, what would you have me do in this specific situation? Where should I go to school?

00:30:34.840 What should I pursue? And just be ready for very gentle thoughts to start flowing through your mind.

00:30:44.920 And if the thought contradicts the commandments or scripture, you know it's not from God. But if it

00:30:51.740 is not in contradiction to those, then it's fair game to discern. And if it's a thought that has a

00:30:58.280 piece to it, it has a, it stays with you. It doesn't just fly out your ear and you forget about

00:31:04.780 it right away, but you remember it has that power. If it's a thought maybe you hadn't had before,

00:31:10.700 those are all the fingerprints of the Lord trying to gently whisper to you, say to you, this is what's

00:31:17.440 best for you. And contrary to what Satan seems to try to do with so many youth, where he seems to say,

00:31:26.020 oh, if you don't want to do that, then that must be the Lord's will. The spirit's full of joy.

00:31:32.600 Look for a quickening in your spirit that you say, yeah, that sounds good. I'd like to do that. If it

00:31:39.000 makes you excited about it, then that's another good sign that it's the Lord revealing his plans to you.

00:31:47.160 Because again, his scriptures say, I have plans to prosper you. He desires that we would be healthy

00:31:53.960 and happy. He's giving us the tools to do that. And today in the youth, I would say, please start

00:32:01.900 fasting as well as we are obligated to do. I know your pastors don't tell you we're obligated to fast

00:32:08.540 each week, but we are. And this is the spiritual army that, the spiritual armor that our lady said

00:32:15.560 is so powerful that it keeps evil away from us. Imagine if evil just had to back off of your family,

00:32:21.760 couldn't be trying to wreck the lives of your children or your loved ones. You will find,

00:32:26.820 because remember, that's how Jesus started his ministry, right? 40 days of fasting to make sure

00:32:32.780 he was hearing the Lord correctly. Do that. And I think you're going to find how exciting it is

00:32:39.780 that the Lord wants to speak directly to you, not only through a teacher or through maybe a spiritual

00:32:46.040 advisor, but he wants to talk, the Spirit must talk directly to you. And I think you'll find it

00:32:52.080 exhilarating.

00:32:53.320 I'm going to remind everyone, we've got a show out with Drew about prayer and fasting, about fasting

00:32:58.840 Wednesdays and Fridays, as the early church did in the dedicated talks about, tells us about doing that,

00:33:04.980 a bread and water fast on Wednesdays and Fridays, as the early church used to do. So stunning stuff.

00:33:10.500 I encourage you to go watch that. Also, Drew, I want to thank you for your advice to families on how

00:33:17.280 to prepare themselves for the times to come, both spiritually and also financially, in a way to

00:33:26.080 prosper God's people. God bless you, Drew, and thank you. 0.96

00:33:30.260 Thank you, John Henry.
