Protection from evil: Mary's promise in the Brown Scapular

Summary

The Brown Scapular is a sacramental in the Catholic Church that disposes us to grace. It was given by Our Lady in 1251 to St. Simon Stock, who was going through great trials in Islesford, England, and with promises from the Mother of God. She said that whosoever wears the brown scapular would not suffer the eternal fire. And she also promised that those who wear it would have protection against danger.

00:00:00.000 A lot of you might have seen Catholics, pretty well-known Catholics sometimes,
00:00:04.420 wearing these like string things around their necks.
00:00:08.180 And sometimes when their top button's undone, you'll see this little square kind of brownish thing.
00:00:13.980 And you might wonder, what is that anyway?
00:00:15.760 Well, it's called a scapular and it's very popular.
00:00:18.300 And it's actually very good protection against evil.
00:00:22.720 So for today, that's probably absolutely necessary.
00:00:26.140 We have someone with us, a Father James Schultz, who's going to talk to us about this.
00:00:30.660 He's involved with a company that's helping to promote the use of the brown scapular.
00:00:36.800 This is The John Henry Weston Show.
00:00:38.540 Stay tuned.
00:01:00.000 Father James Schultz, thank you for joining us.
00:01:08.000 Thank you so much.
00:01:08.840 Thank you so much, John Henry.
00:01:10.540 Wonderful to be here.
00:01:11.680 Let's begin, as we always do, at the sign of the cross.
00:01:13.360 Father, would you lead us, please?
00:01:14.520 Sure.
00:01:14.860 In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.
00:01:17.460 Amen.
00:01:18.660 Amen.
00:01:19.400 Amen.
00:01:20.640 So, the brown scapular.
00:01:22.440 It is, I guess, common talk among Catholics, but there's a lot of non-Catholics who watch
00:01:27.160 the show as well.
00:01:28.600 What is the brown scapular anyway, and where did it come from?
00:01:31.680 The brown scapular was a sacramental in the Catholic Church.
00:01:34.360 It disposes us to grace.
00:01:36.120 It was given by Our Lady on July 16th, 1251, to St. Simon Stock, who was going through
00:01:44.620 great trials in Islesford, England, and with promises.
00:01:49.940 And she asked, you know, as part of becoming, if you will, a part of the Carmelite Order,
00:01:55.020 that whosoever wears the brown scapular would not suffer the eternal fire.
00:01:58.400 And there's other promises that we'll talk about as well that are important.
00:02:02.020 If I can get you to unpack that a little bit, you said it was a sacramental.
00:02:05.040 What's a sacramental?
00:02:06.280 The Church gives these little, like, holy water, and they dispose us to grace.
00:02:11.020 So, they prepare our souls to receive grace from Almighty God.
00:02:14.600 Okay.
00:02:15.200 They're kind of like helps, if you will.
00:02:18.360 And why do we have these helps?
00:02:21.600 What is it about physical things that we need?
00:02:24.720 Why can't we just have a sort of relationship with God?
00:02:27.940 Because He's there, and shouldn't that be enough?
00:02:30.600 People have senses.
00:02:31.580 So, we touch things we want to share.
00:02:33.100 We kiss things.
00:02:34.140 We want to show our love.
00:02:36.520 We want to experience them.
00:02:37.860 And that's part of being the human, you know, body and soul.
00:02:42.040 You say that this Saint Simon Stock, you mentioned 1251, I think.
00:02:47.860 So, he lived a long time ago.
00:02:49.340 He was a religious, a member of a religious order, the Carmelite order, you said?
00:02:53.640 Yes.
00:02:54.000 Here is this monk in religious life, and he receives a vision from the mother of Jesus,
00:03:00.020 from the mother of God.
00:03:02.140 And, sorry, pick it up from there again.
00:03:04.100 What did, what did she tell him?
00:03:05.380 She said that whosoever, you know, dies when the brown scapular shall not suffer the eternal
00:03:10.240 fire.
00:03:11.120 And she also promised that those who wear the brown scapular would have protection and danger.
00:03:17.760 And she also promised that they would have peace and special protection.
00:03:23.520 But you're right away going to get hit with, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute.
00:03:27.140 She said those who wear this will not suffer eternal hellfire.
00:03:32.460 Hold on.
00:03:33.860 Isn't it such that you have to love Christ and to follow his commandments and to be baptized
00:03:41.760 and to live the faith in order to go to heaven?
00:03:44.660 How can you avoid hellfire, which means you'd go to heaven, with just wearing something?
00:03:49.820 Isn't that like, that sounds pretty superstitious, does it not?
00:03:52.820 It's like a wedding feast to Cana.
00:03:53.960 You have to invite the mother of God into your life.
00:03:58.140 And then she can work.
00:03:59.600 You know what I mean?
00:03:59.940 She's the mother of all.
00:04:01.640 From the cross, she said, you know, behold your mother.
00:04:04.600 Or Guadalupe, she said, am I not your mother?
00:04:06.880 So she wants us to, and this little cloth is like a swaddling clothes, like it's a piece
00:04:12.820 given from heaven, so to speak.
00:04:15.500 And you're inviting her and you're allowing her into your life to be a part of your life,
00:04:19.760 a sign of her there with you, a sign of the Immaculate Heart as well.
00:04:24.380 And we don't figure out exactly how she works exactly, you know, when she's going to work.
00:04:30.360 But we know that she, the church has, you know, approved this and supported it.
00:04:36.020 And everybody used to be getting it, First Communion.
00:04:38.280 That's why we call it pulling it out of the attic.
00:04:40.360 And that there's millions of stories all over the place, you know, of her helping souls.
00:04:46.500 I mean, there's a story, just in this book, A Sign of Her Heart, of a man who was given,
00:04:51.660 in his 1940s, he was given a scapular by some Carmelites, I believe, outside of New York City.
00:04:58.940 And he wasn't Catholic.
00:05:01.340 And the 1940s is in a hospital, and the nurse calls for a Catholic priest.
00:05:07.480 And he comes, and the Catholic priest says, well, why'd you call me?
00:05:11.020 He's not Catholic.
00:05:11.780 Well, he had that brown scapular on.
00:05:13.360 So he goes back in.
00:05:14.500 He goes back into the man.
00:05:15.680 He says, do you want to become Catholic?
00:05:17.080 Yes, I do.
00:05:18.900 And so he becomes Catholic.
00:05:19.880 And this happens again and again.
00:05:21.900 So we just have to let, our job as Catholics, part of the family message,
00:05:25.940 is to let, we're just trying to listen to what she said to do.
00:05:29.640 She said, pray the rosary every day.
00:05:30.860 We all know that.
00:05:32.440 And she's a cause we're doing.
00:05:33.480 The other thing she wants is the triumph of the Immaculate Heart.
00:05:35.360 God, she said, if I may God wish, is to establish devotion to my Immaculate Heart.
00:05:38.860 And so it's a very powerful sacramento that the church, with a huge promise, St. Claude
00:05:47.100 Columbier, he just was an apostle of the scapular.
00:05:51.100 And he just couldn't believe it.
00:05:53.280 He thought it was one of the greatest things that is offered to us.
00:05:55.720 But you ask yourself, 60,000 people die every day.
00:05:58.960 How many do you think are wearing the brown scapular?
00:06:00.920 How many Catholics are wearing it?
00:06:02.140 How many children need to be protected and taken care of and brought under her mantle in a special way?
00:06:10.800 So that's what we would say.
00:06:12.720 It's not a lucky charm.
00:06:14.360 I can understand that.
00:06:15.240 It's an emotional.
00:06:16.340 It's like the same thing the other day I had a Jewish friend say to me.
00:06:20.000 I told him I blessed cars after Mass.
00:06:21.920 He said, well, why are you blessing cars?
00:06:24.420 You know?
00:06:24.840 And I was just trying to explain it to him.
00:06:26.220 You know?
00:06:26.940 Because you're in them, you're driving them, you want to be protected.
00:06:29.180 So there's a lot of things about this scapular.
00:06:32.260 It is, the term scapular is a mantle or a piece worn by regular religious.
00:06:38.520 So nuns and monks, they wear a scapular, but it doesn't look like the scapular that we're talking about.
00:06:45.060 It is, although it is worn front and back, it's that little piece or sometimes broader piece of cloth that's by the Carmelites worn front and back.
00:06:55.400 And it hangs down, goes down to the floor on either side.
00:06:58.040 And I think the scapular from Our Lady was also intended to be that perhaps for laity because it, too, is a little piece of cloth front and a little piece of cloth at the back as well.
00:07:09.840 And so when you wear it, you wear it as a devotion to show your devotion to the Blessed Mother, to the Mother of Jesus.
00:07:19.020 And always done in imitation of her and therefore acknowledging God as God and not.
00:07:27.880 I think there's a lot of people who somehow think that Catholics are devoted to Mary perhaps because of the title of Mother of God, as if somehow she's more important than God.
00:07:38.740 What is the Catholic take on Our Lady in relation to God in terms of her importance compared to God's importance?
00:07:46.660 She's always trying to take us to Christ.
00:07:48.660 I mean, any good mother, she knows that he's the Son of God.
00:07:51.320 He's the Savior of the world.
00:07:53.420 She would never want to take any glory.
00:07:55.140 But God is so willed to bring her into salvation history as a mother, you know, and to mother of each one of us.
00:08:01.360 And so she wants to help her children.
00:08:02.720 So she's, again, like the wedding feast of Canaan idea.
00:08:05.620 She wants to intercede for us.
00:08:06.900 She wants us, and God wants us to come to her for help as we do for the saints and also especially for her.
00:08:13.940 One image is like, I think it was from St. Louis to Montfort or something, where you have an apple and you want to give it to the king, but it's all bruised.
00:08:22.360 So you give it to the queen, which is Our Lady, and she puts it on the gold platter, and then she presents it.
00:08:27.060 And it's harder for him to say, no, it's harder for him not to accept it.
00:08:30.760 I mean, that's just one image of it.
00:08:32.560 I think there's something also about having a great love of your mother.
00:08:36.800 And, you know, you just can't.
00:08:39.420 You just have to, how great are those two hearts, you know, and how much love they have.
00:08:43.420 And so being a good son, I think he just wants her to be, you know, to be treated well and to be respected and honoured.
00:08:53.720 And she's been given that wonderful role for us.
00:08:57.380 It's amazing.
00:08:57.860 De Montfort, in the beginning of his book, talks about because Mary's a creature, like all of us are creatures and not the creator or anything like that,
00:09:05.840 talks about the comparison of a grain of sand compared to God, Mary's not even a grain of sand.
00:09:12.260 And so there's that.
00:09:15.440 But then the reality is God chooses to start his greatest work by Mary.
00:09:21.660 And then Mary is, in life, Jesus's mother.
00:09:25.980 And he, being the perfect son, wants to honour his mother.
00:09:28.520 So that's how we get to where you're at.
00:09:30.680 Okay, so we have these amazing promises that of protection and also he who wears the scapular won't be eternal fire or whatever, however that goes exactly.
00:09:42.620 There's all these great promises.
00:09:43.600 I'd like to hear a couple more stories, if you have them, just about the protection that's afforded with the brown scapular.
00:09:52.320 My sister's a Dominican and she was at the Comet there, for example, probably like two years ago.
00:09:57.120 And a man was working on the roof and he fell down like 50, 60 feet and landed in some bushes and nothing, nothing was broken.
00:10:04.700 And he was wearing his front scapular to, you know, a simpler one would just be somebody who works in my parish was just riding around on a scooter.
00:10:13.940 And one day she didn't wear the brown scapular.
00:10:17.260 She ended up, you know, crashing and going into the, I think, the hospital and now she wears it every day.
00:10:22.380 But just little things like that are just, we will never know.
00:10:25.640 I mean, I can tell you the stories, but we'll never know until we get to heaven, please, Lord, what things she has done for us.
00:10:33.280 You know what I mean?
00:10:33.660 We'll never know all that care or silent love that we've received, car accidents I've heard about, things like that.
00:10:41.360 So that's the one about protecting from danger and then the salvation of souls.
00:10:46.460 I mean, there's a story, for example, in the Spanish war where there were seven guys that were condemned to death and the priest tried to go see them.
00:10:54.640 And they said, you know, get out of here, Father.
00:10:57.140 Then he came back the next day and he brought cigars and he brought cards and he brought so forth.
00:11:02.900 And they said to him, well, come on in, Father.
00:11:06.420 And he started hanging out with him for a few hours.
00:11:08.960 He enrolled him in the brown scapular.
00:11:10.300 They went to confession and then they, you know, executed the next day.
00:11:16.220 So, yeah, so there's like stories all over of every day happening of her and stuff.
00:11:22.440 We'll never know, like I said, we'll never know fully until the police alert get there.
00:11:26.300 I think if you listen to Sister Lucia, she said the rosary and the scapular are inseparable.
00:11:32.180 And she said that Our Lady wants everyone to wear it.
00:11:37.500 So I think it's just being a mother to her children.
00:11:40.840 One day when we get to heaven, she's going to be queen.
00:11:43.600 Everybody's going to have to acknowledge that she is queen.
00:11:45.780 She's queen of heaven forever and ever.
00:11:47.960 It's pretty amazing.
00:11:49.460 And she's a mother.
00:11:50.140 It's a great thing.
00:11:51.180 It is.
00:11:52.280 And in fact, it's something also that I think is very consoling.
00:11:56.500 Today, especially in our day and age, the times that we're living in are probably some
00:12:01.300 of the most concerning, at least in terms of the insecurity.
00:12:05.360 Now, we're not yet facing overt persecution as they are in certain countries in the world,
00:12:11.400 particularly in Islamic countries and in China, for instance, where Catholics are literally
00:12:16.840 being killed and persecuted.
00:12:19.440 Here, though, you can sense that that's in the air.
00:12:22.260 It's already come crushing to a number of people.
00:12:25.760 The Houck family, who I was with a few weeks ago, are experiencing real persecution in America,
00:12:32.780 for crying out loud, for being, you know, pro-life activists.
00:12:35.340 And we're seeing this now travel around the country.
00:12:38.320 So there is uncertainty.
00:12:40.380 There is very much a foreboding.
00:12:43.240 There's evil around everywhere because of what's going on in our culture.
00:12:47.560 Heaven affording us a way to be in touch, if you will, with our mother, I think is really
00:12:52.800 important.
00:12:53.340 A lot of people think to themselves, boy, if I could only have a hug from Our Lady just
00:12:58.160 to know that she's with me.
00:13:00.760 That, at least for me, has been a great consolation.
00:13:03.420 When I wear the scapular, I know she's there in a way because it is a physical reminder.
00:13:08.760 You know, I'll tell you, Father, it works the other way, too, though.
00:13:11.840 My dad was really, really holy.
00:13:13.600 And when I started to go off the rails, I fell into sin in a big way.
00:13:17.980 And, you know, it was funny.
00:13:18.920 I'd probably been wearing a scapular since I was, I don't know, five, maybe.
00:13:22.460 Never noticed it because after a while, you don't notice it anymore.
00:13:25.120 And then when I was, you know, in my early teens there, sinning, I all of a sudden was
00:13:33.480 itching.
00:13:33.720 What is that?
00:13:34.220 Oh, that's that scapular thing.
00:13:35.740 And then once more, oh, man.
00:13:37.900 And, you know, after two or three times of that, I took it off because I, it was a reminder
00:13:42.880 to me of needing to live a certain way.
00:13:46.460 And since I wasn't, I had to take it off, which was quite something.
00:13:51.420 You know, I never thought of it before, that it meant anything, never felt it before.
00:13:55.900 But all of a sudden, when I was living a life of sin, I couldn't stand it anymore.
00:14:00.080 So I wonder if that doesn't have some play in terms of the eternal promise as well, having
00:14:04.900 lived both sides of it.
00:14:06.360 There's definitely stories of people that have been, I didn't want to get into anything
00:14:09.720 negative, but there are stories where people have rejected it, you know, or had the opportunity.
00:14:14.920 And I mean, to finish the story about the seven men, I didn't quite finish it.
00:14:20.880 The story ends the next day where six of the seven went to confession, but one did not.
00:14:26.720 And then at the execution the next day, they found one scapular from that man who did not
00:14:31.760 go to confession 50 yards away from his, where he was after the execution.
00:14:36.760 So it's not like, you were right about saying, this is not like the end all be all, get out
00:14:42.520 of jail free, just wear this and do whatever you want, or this is the cell.
00:14:46.840 So it's just a huge gift.
00:14:50.000 We call it garment of grace.
00:14:52.200 You know, it's just huge gift from our lady, from the church, from our Lord.
00:14:57.260 And we are supposed to live a good holy life with it.
00:15:01.180 That's not to say that, but I mean, just so many things.
00:15:06.280 I love the wedding feast of Canaan, inviting our mother in.
00:15:09.200 I like the idea of the good thief.
00:15:10.820 We have priests that are putting it around people just, you know, before they die.
00:15:16.300 My parish priest, my first one, his funeral was today, 11 o'clock.
00:15:21.700 And I was able to see him a week before, or yeah, about a week before he passed, maybe
00:15:26.300 a few days before he got passed.
00:15:27.460 And I was able to put a brown scapular around him.
00:15:30.520 And it just feels wonderful to do that.
00:15:33.900 Most people love it when you do it.
00:15:35.480 They're not upset with you.
00:15:36.880 It's a tough time.
00:15:39.320 And I think that's, we just have to do what we can do to get that out there.
00:15:43.940 Just a quick note before we return.

00:16:08.700 And now, back to the video.
00:16:10.100 There's a beautiful story of John Paul II, how he absolutely refused to take off his
00:16:17.240 scapular, even while he was very, very ill.
00:16:20.120 Have you heard that one?
00:16:21.460 Yeah, yeah.
00:16:22.440 I think, really, heaven is simple.
00:16:27.020 It's for the simple, and it is simple.
00:16:28.940 It's not complex.
00:16:30.440 It's not difficult and arduous.
00:16:34.140 Yeah, it's difficult and arduous to keep away from your own sins.
00:16:37.640 But heaven, I think, offers itself to the simple.
00:16:41.940 And it is, the scapular is a beautiful thing.
00:16:44.680 It's like child's play.
00:16:46.180 It is like a hug from your heavenly mother.
00:16:49.460 It's wearing her garment as a sign of devotion to her.
00:16:54.040 And for me, anyway, it's been an awesome constellation, very often.
00:16:59.760 Anything you can tell us about your own experiences with the scapular father?
00:17:03.220 I grew up in, I guess, a big family, a family of 13, and we were, I don't know, I felt like
00:17:10.820 we were, it was a great, it was a great life.
00:17:12.920 We had the rosary, and we went to public school.
00:17:16.300 We just did everything, but we would, my mom would, you know, we'd have to wear this.
00:17:19.860 We said the rosary every night, we'd wear the scapular.
00:17:21.940 And sometimes, you know, you'd see the, you know, in the bathroom, somebody might have
00:17:26.740 forgotten, you might take a shower or whatever, and then still somebody left it there.
00:17:29.900 And it was just something, you know, very simple, yep, this is the promise.
00:17:34.160 The only one I really knew about was whoever dies, we're in this brown scapular,
00:17:36.720 she'll end up with a turn of fire.
00:17:38.400 So that's, and, you know, I remember being on the bus, telling a kid one time that,
00:17:43.060 and he said, I want one.
00:17:44.000 I told him all about it.
00:17:44.880 It was like a, you know, with a mass maybe once a year.
00:17:48.440 But I always think, God bless you for that, and your good heart.
00:17:52.700 And he said, I want one.
00:17:53.800 So I gave it to him, and I think he wore it for years.
00:17:55.600 But yeah, just like growing up, it was just part of our life.
00:17:57.660 It was just something that I always had.
00:18:00.080 We always did it.
00:18:01.000 It was, you know, rosary scapular.
00:18:02.420 That's what we did.
00:18:03.300 How many promises are there for the scapular?
00:18:05.320 The big one is, okay, it goes in even after death.
00:18:08.660 Whosoever dies, when the brown scapular shall not suffer the eternal fire.
00:18:11.620 The second promise is that she promises protection in danger.
00:18:16.400 You know, that story I told you about the 1940s, and the Carmelite nuns are putting it on people
00:18:20.860 that aren't Catholics.
00:18:21.600 It's for non-Catholics as well.
00:18:23.600 And when they become Catholic, I think that's when you can do the enrollment and so forth.
00:18:26.340 And you don't, the sabotage privilege is another thing, but you just have to wear it.
00:18:29.900 You don't technically have to do anything.
00:18:32.780 You know, you don't have to do any special prayer.
00:18:34.620 I mean, you kiss it, it's the indulgence for that.
00:18:36.360 Special protection in peace.
00:18:38.740 So I'm still trying to figure those two out, special protection in peace.
00:18:41.180 And the peace is like, it's not going to be a perfect peaceful world, because there's
00:18:44.160 difficulties, you know what I mean?
00:18:45.640 Where can people find out more about the brown scapular?
00:18:48.160 Where is your apostolate?
00:18:50.120 And where can people get a scapular?
00:18:52.120 Started a couple years ago.
00:18:53.060 The scapulars were expensive, I was buying for, I was doing like enrollments at the
00:18:57.780 women's conferences every year, and they're expensive, you know?
00:19:00.920 So somehow I found somebody online who sold the wool, blah, blah, blah.
00:19:05.620 We started making scapulars that cost about, with a miraculous mental, 38 cents each.
00:19:10.640 So we sell them at 50 cents, because we're charging for the postage.
00:19:15.160 We don't charge for postage.
00:19:16.140 So you have 50 cents a scapular at our, I'm going to show up.
00:19:18.580 If it's okay, I'll show up a little card I made with the address and stuff, but I just
00:19:21.960 want to finish.
00:19:22.760 We've been making, one lady, for example, has made 8,000 by hand, sewing them.
00:19:27.180 And that's just one example.
00:19:28.400 So we've made about 20,000 total, but we're running out.
00:19:31.300 We have a lady that just asked for 1,000 for Uganda, a nun actually.
00:19:35.040 We send, so we're sending all over.
00:19:37.360 We haven't even really started promoting the Bionosu.
00:19:39.980 And so we started building a machine in Finland.
00:19:42.740 And the machine cost $250,000.
00:19:44.520 And we are, so just being honest, we are looking for people to support us, benefactors, to help
00:19:50.260 us to be, and we've been doing a gala up that are trying here.
00:19:53.580 Some of the pictures are back here, up in Oswego, New York.
00:19:57.280 December 8th is the plan.
00:19:58.720 That's the plan for a gala.
00:20:00.120 Kind of imitating your wonderful gala.
00:20:01.900 It won't be as nice, I'm sure, but it will be wonderful.
00:20:05.620 So scapularap.com is where you can get them, you can order them.
00:20:09.300 And, you know, if you order 200 scapulars, it's $100, you know, and here's what they
00:20:13.000 look like, you know, different lengths and so forth.
00:20:16.020 And to be honest with you, we'll make 110,000 in a week, in a 40-hour week, but we might not
00:20:22.840 be able to keep the miraculous metal on it just because of the machine.
00:20:26.440 You could add it on later, but right now we just have to work on doing it.
00:20:31.300 So we're not trying to make money.
00:20:32.260 We are trying to get this out to millions of people.
00:20:35.620 I know it's, in some ways, Mel Gibson and Mark Wahlberg had a scapular in that movie.
00:20:41.700 I think it was Father's Two.
00:20:43.220 There was, I think that I saw that in there.
00:20:44.860 It's starting to, I believe, catch on.
00:20:47.260 We just want to be ready if people need it, and they do need it, but we want to be ready
00:20:53.080 for getting it out there when we start promoting it more.
00:20:56.020 That's scapularap.com.
00:20:58.460 And then Timothy's my brother, and he's really pretty much doing the work, and there's his
00:21:02.120 phone number.
00:21:02.540 So we are looking for benefactors to help us with this mission.
00:21:06.300 The goal is to even make them free all over the world.
00:21:09.540 And our machine is, I don't know of any, but this is a robotic, automated machine that'll
00:21:14.480 make 110,000 a week.
00:21:15.880 So we think that's pretty fantastic, but we're in the process of, you know what I mean?
00:21:21.220 Enrollment.
00:21:21.620 How do people get it once they get the scapular?
00:21:23.380 What do they do with it?
00:21:24.000 So you would probably just go to your local parish priest, get the enrollment formula.
00:21:29.460 I have a parish ritual that I use, for example.
00:21:31.680 It doesn't take too long.
00:21:33.400 Ask the priest if he would be willing to do it, and I'm sure he would.
00:21:37.160 And, you know, just be enrolled in the early Mount Carmel takes a couple of minutes.
00:21:41.560 I like to do it where I have a candle doing the dark and put it over people and say that
00:21:46.100 prayer.
00:21:47.600 What is that prayer?
00:21:48.480 It's like, receive this blessed scapular and beseech the blessed Virgin Mary, that through
00:21:51.420 the marriage of me, wherever it's staying, may defend you, against all of us, and accompany
00:21:54.180 you to eternal life.
00:21:55.260 That's the prayer we say as we put it over your neck.
00:21:57.100 And, yeah, I would say the final thought is she is the cause of our joy, and she's just
00:22:04.660 amazing, and she's just her mother.
00:22:08.400 I mean, I need her so much.
00:22:10.240 She's been so good to me, and I think she's good to everyone.
00:22:13.460 Sister Lucy's message from Our Lady of Fatima comes as no surprise.
00:22:18.100 The rosary was given to us by Our Lady from Heaven, and the scapular was as well.
00:22:23.400 Thank you so much, Father, for joining us here on the John Henry Weston Show.
