00:01:10.920 Thanks so much for being here, John Henry.
00:01:13.140 Hello, and thank you for Sustaining LifeSite News and keeping us going, even in these hard
00:01:17.980 times.
00:01:18.240 I wanted to just interject quickly, just to give you a little intro to Danielle Zuccaro.
00:01:24.580 Danielle is just awesome. 1.00
00:01:26.960 We love her to pieces here at LifeSite News.
00:01:28.760 She came to LifeSite in 2018.
00:01:31.020 She is so dynamic at what she does.
00:01:33.600 She actually moved us from 300 sustainers in 2018 to now over 7,500 of you who are really
00:01:42.400 keeping LifeSite going, even in these very tough times.
00:01:45.420 So, thank you for your support.
00:01:47.740 But Danielle is amazing, not only in terms of connecting you with what's going on behind
00:01:53.660 the scenes at LifeSite, but also with being able to share her awesome personality, her deep
00:02:00.580 pro-life convictions, and her deep faith.
00:02:02.660 She's inspired many, not only at LifeSite, but also over at the Catholic University campuses
00:02:08.300 at which she works as well.
00:02:10.240 So, Danielle, back to you.
00:02:12.320 Well, thank you so much for the introduction.
00:02:14.140 I really appreciate it.
00:02:16.340 And now we'll get underway with our five top questions for today.
00:02:20.800 I think you'll enjoy them, so stay tuned.
00:02:23.060 Let's begin, as we always do, with the sign of the cross.
00:02:46.240 In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
00:02:50.700 Amen.
00:02:50.940 Our first question today comes from Jane in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
00:02:57.880 Jane writes, what are your thoughts on the upcoming Texas case being brought before the
00:03:03.400 Supreme Court, and what are the implications of the decision?
00:03:07.420 Well, the Texas case is really something else.
00:03:11.140 I mean, this, first of all, we're going to have a Supreme Court case on abortion being heard
00:03:16.620 on Monday.
00:03:17.640 So, this is a big deal for the pro-life movement.
00:03:21.660 This is a big deal all around.
00:03:23.640 What happened with the Supreme Court back in September is that they refused to allow judges
00:03:30.200 to basically nix the Texas law that made abortionists have to check for a heartbeat before they perform
00:03:38.160 the abortion, before they kill the baby.
00:03:40.180 Why use their terminology?
00:03:42.220 But anyway, so that must be done.
00:03:45.480 But these laws, normally pro-life laws, when they're passed in various states, they're always
00:03:51.460 nixed by the courts and nothing can be done about it.
00:03:53.480 Because basically everybody turns back to Roe v. Wade and therefore says, nope, nope, nothing
00:03:57.340 can be done. 0.99
00:03:58.240 That law is garbage. 0.99
00:04:00.500 Forget it. 0.97
00:04:00.860 Well, with this one, it was very interesting because the Texas law has a very interesting
00:04:06.500 mechanism of enforcement.
00:04:08.120 It's not with law enforcement.
00:04:09.400 It's by civil suits done by the public.
00:04:12.980 So, if the public finds out that there's a late-term abortion going on or late-her term, 0.97
00:04:18.440 remember, the heartbeat starts around six weeks.
00:04:21.940 So, this is very concerning for abortionists.
00:04:25.140 Most abortions happen post six weeks. 0.99
00:04:26.960 Remember, a lot of women don't know that they're pregnant, even in that first month 0.96
00:04:31.440 of pregnancy.
00:04:31.980 They wonder if they've missed a first period or whatnot.
00:04:34.360 But by six, seven, eight weeks, that's where you start to understand, whoa, okay.
00:04:38.360 And so, a large number of abortions happen in this later period.
00:04:42.940 And so, this is very threatening for abortionists.
00:04:45.940 You have to understand something about the abortion industry, too.
00:04:48.100 It is an industry.
00:04:49.600 For the most part, these aren't people like in the pro-life movement.
00:04:54.380 Abortion doctors who actually go in and kill the children, who actually go in and suction
00:05:00.480 the babies out piece by piece from their mother's wombs, who are doing the killing, they're 1.00
00:05:06.300 actually, for the most part, not ideological activists.
00:05:11.120 They're not there for the good of, you know, the pro-choice movement.
00:05:16.580 No, actually.
00:05:17.380 They're there for business.
00:05:18.280 They're there making money, blood money.
00:05:19.800 And that's just the way it is.
00:05:22.620 And so, that's why you've seen over and over and over again on so many exposés done by the
00:05:29.020 pro-life movement, absolute horror going on in terms of the so-called clinics where this
00:05:36.220 killing business happens.
00:05:37.820 And what happens is, you know, they find filthy conditions in the clinics.
00:05:41.680 They find doctors who rarely care about what's going on with their patients and reuse medical
00:05:49.960 equipment that they shouldn't be reusing before sterilization.
00:05:53.720 Sometimes the conditions are deplorable.
00:05:56.460 Sometimes you have the staff not properly counseling women as to the effects of the abortion
00:06:01.980 and possible side effects.
00:06:03.320 It's just unbelievable what goes on.
00:06:05.160 So, this is a business.
00:06:06.060 And when you have a business and then the law threatens you with possible lawsuit, in
00:06:11.940 fact, state-sanctioned lawsuits of civilians toward an abortion business that's happening
00:06:18.040 illegally in the state, which is abortions beyond a heartbeat and the necessity to check
00:06:23.480 for one, all of a sudden, the businessmen, the abortionists, well, they don't want to get
00:06:31.000 in trouble with their business and therefore, they'll shut it down, go to another state,
00:06:37.460 do something else.
00:06:38.980 And that's the thing.
00:06:40.400 That's why this is such a danger to the pro-abortion movement.
00:06:43.520 That's why the Biden administration went absolutely crazy.
00:06:47.140 In fact, it's been said, and it was really funny, that the very clearest thing we know
00:06:51.300 about Biden is that he supports abortion.
00:06:54.220 And not only that, that he has made this his cause celeb, that basically fighting the Texas
00:07:02.000 heartbeat law, fighting this decision has been his main thing of late.
00:07:06.620 And this is all going to explode on Monday.
00:07:08.740 Of course, LifeSite will be there to cover it live.
00:07:11.900 So, tune in to LifeSite News, where you will see our new, just launched yesterday, LSN TV.
00:07:19.380 We will have reporters on the scene, and we're going to be giving you live coverage of what's
00:07:23.880 going on at the Supreme Court on Monday.
00:07:27.520 In terms of outcome and what's going on with this bill, well, as pro-lifers, we all know
00:07:32.880 this is not a perfect bill.
00:07:34.640 This is not about protecting all babies.
00:07:37.000 This is not about fighting for the right to life.
00:07:40.060 This is about looking at abortion, what it is, what it does.
00:07:44.860 And the understanding of the bill was that after a heartbeat is there, that's when we
00:07:51.420 protect these lives.
00:07:52.600 Of course, that's not the pro-life position.
00:07:54.200 Pro-life position is from conception till natural death.
00:07:57.720 And so that's what we fight for, ultimately.
00:08:00.080 This measure, though, has served to start the discussion, save some babies' lives, and really,
00:08:07.420 hopefully, inspire pro-life legislative action across the United States.
00:08:14.140 And in fact, globally, working toward our end goal of protection of all life from conception
00:08:20.920 till natural death.
00:08:22.600 Thank you so much, John Henry.
00:08:24.480 Our second question today comes from Linda in West Brandywine, Pennsylvania.
00:08:30.740 Linda writes, should we attend the Novus Ordo Mass when we don't have a traditional church
00:08:36.160 around us?
00:08:36.960 Well, I'm no theologian, but I will tell you, very honestly, I myself go to a Novus Ordo
00:08:45.240 church, parish, because I don't have a traditional Latin Mass near me.
00:08:52.200 When I'm traveling, however, I do try and attend the traditional Latin Mass and love it.
00:08:57.200 But where I live, it's a secluded area.
00:09:01.040 But what I would tell you is to make sure you're going to an Orthodox parish.
00:09:06.560 It is so absolutely paramount to get to a parish that's Orthodox, that it's worth doing 1.00
00:09:14.240 anything you need to, driving long distances or whatever, to get to an Orthodox parish.
00:09:19.340 It's, this is where you're being fed.
00:09:22.160 This is where your children are being fed.
00:09:23.820 You need to do this.
00:09:25.420 And thankfully, where I live, we have a very Orthodox parish, and it's a Novus Ordo parish. 0.98
00:09:31.020 And so I've, you know, seen the work of the Lord there and can attest to that myself.
00:09:38.000 There is a greater reverence in the traditional Latin Mass, and I think that's obvious for
00:09:43.020 anyone to see.
00:09:44.360 But the Church is struggling to get to a place where it comes to a restoration of the place
00:09:51.180 of the Latin Mass.
00:09:52.480 And I think that's coming.
00:09:53.300 I think it's coming particularly because of the fighting against this, this latest thing,
00:09:59.060 Traditiones Custodis from Francis has shown us that, you know, when things are going tough,
00:10:07.580 often people have their last kick at the can.
00:10:10.200 And honestly, the traditional Latin Mass is on a comeback.
00:10:14.400 And despite everything that Pope Francis and all sorts of leftist bishops are trying to
00:10:19.900 do to stomp it out of existence, it continues to grow everywhere it is.
00:10:24.160 There are young families.
00:10:25.600 And everywhere you find these liberal Novus Ordo parishes that look more like gymnasiums,
00:10:33.020 and they always talk about inclusivity and don't care about any of the Catholic moral teachings,
00:10:38.080 those parishes die. 0.77
00:10:40.080 They are old.
00:10:40.980 The congregants are old, the congregants are old, and they're dying out.
00:10:45.600 So there's a lot of hope for the traditional Latin Mass. 0.97
00:10:48.420 And I hope I've answered your question.
00:10:51.540 Thank you so much, John Henry.
00:10:53.200 Our next question comes from Jennifer in Invergrove Heights, Minnesota.
00:10:59.840 Jennifer writes,
00:11:00.740 My question is, what is the ultimate goal of the globalists as millions refuse the job and go jobless?
00:11:09.360 This has to have a massive effect on the economy as well as commerce in general.
00:11:14.260 Wow, that's quite the question.
00:11:16.300 So first of all, with regard to the agenda of the globalists, as you say,
00:11:23.900 for most, it's always the same agenda.
00:11:27.200 It's power, money, control.
00:11:32.180 And I guess it's power and money, basically.
00:11:36.340 And that makes total sense with COVID, with the lockdowns, with the vax mandates,
00:11:42.240 with the coming social credit system, which is, of course, where it's all headed.
00:11:47.180 It is an unbelievable way to control people, to control people's lives,
00:11:52.420 to control their livelihoods, to control everything about them,
00:11:56.180 even their thoughts.
00:11:57.200 This is, of course, what's being done in China with the social credit system.
00:12:00.480 And it is.
00:12:01.360 It's a megalomaniac idea of control.
00:12:04.880 And it's, they've watched it happen.
00:12:07.740 So, you know, in China, you get extra social credit score by reading Xi Jinping's writings.
00:12:15.280 You get docked points from your social credit score for, you know, crossing the street the wrong way,
00:12:24.660 or from daring to watch a program from the West, which you shouldn't be, or any of these things.
00:12:31.160 So this is a method of control that's just unbelievable.
00:12:34.900 And that's what's coming.
00:12:36.080 And that's what's wanted.
00:12:36.780 Obviously, they want our money as well, because, you know, look at what they've done to suppress the working medications for COVID
00:12:45.660 and insist on these harmful treatments that are costing lives and yet costing lots of money at the same time.
00:12:53.300 So it's unbelievable what is happening and the lengths to which these globalists will go to attain their power and control.
00:13:04.440 But there is something underlying all of that.
00:13:08.080 And I think that's important to pay attention to as well.
00:13:10.600 Archbishop Vigano in his writings talks a lot about where we're at in terms of where we're going to
00:13:16.420 and where, what the ultimate agenda here is.
00:13:19.700 And it is an agenda of full control for not these puppet globalists who are doing this.
00:13:28.820 It's full control for the devil.
00:13:32.940 It's the devil who wants us to abandon freedom.
00:13:37.840 It's the devil who wants us to adopt into our bodies these abortion-tainted jabs 1.00
00:13:44.780 as the savior solution for mankind, tainting the whole world, as it were, with the blood of aborted babies. 0.99
00:13:54.060 This is a demonic thing, in essence.
00:13:57.660 And we need to fight it because we can see all around us this imposition of a type of communist tyranny
00:14:05.500 that's coming along with, you know, really a demonic agenda.
00:14:10.580 Our next question comes from Tony in Toronto, Ontario.
00:14:15.800 Tony writes,
00:14:17.140 The hierarchy in the church is more than I can endure as a Catholic these days.
00:14:21.740 I also don't want to leave Christ's one true church.
00:14:25.440 What are your thoughts about attending the Society of St. Pius X masses?
00:14:30.040 I've heard conflicting views from sources I admire, so I would greatly appreciate your wisdom on this topic.
00:14:35.960 Yes, definitely we're in a situation where things are very, very hard to bear.
00:14:43.420 You mentioned the don't want to leave the Catholic Church, but should I go to the SSPX?
00:14:51.120 Well, let me give you the official—again, I'm no theologian, but I can tell you the take of Bishop Athanasius Schneider.
00:15:00.160 You should know who he is, too.
00:15:01.200 He's, of course, he's the Auxiliary Bishop of Astana in Kazakhstan.
00:15:03.820 You will have noticed just yesterday he was featured at our first LifeSite lunch,
00:15:11.080 blessing our offices and with our staff there in Front Royal.
00:15:14.980 But he also was the official Vatican visitator to the SSPX.
00:15:21.700 And that's very interesting because that means you're assigned by the Pope to go and assess what is this in terms of the Catholic Church.
00:15:29.200 And his position was on the SSPX was, well, they're just Catholics. 0.93
00:15:35.040 And so in your question, you made it sound like you're leaving the Catholic Church to go to the SSPX.
00:15:40.400 You're not leaving the Catholic Church at all.
00:15:43.000 They have valid sacraments.
00:15:46.000 They have—in fact, not only do they have a valid Mass and that you can go to as a Catholic,
00:15:54.860 remember, Pope Francis actually gave SSPX priests the right to hear confessions and celebrate marriages.
00:16:05.540 So this is very interesting because normally in a diocese, you have the bishop that grants the priest the permission or OK or grants him allowability to hear confessions.
00:16:19.060 Every priest can always hear confessions in emergency circumstances.
00:16:21.900 Someone's dying and so on and so forth.
00:16:23.180 Yes.
00:16:23.520 But ordinarily, you need the bishop's permission in the diocese to be able to hear confessions.
00:16:28.760 Interestingly, Pope Francis, who is pope, thus has universal jurisdiction, gave the SSPX the ability or the OK to hear confessions.
00:16:39.860 Therefore, because he's the universal bishop, not only in Rome, his diocese, but also throughout the world.
00:16:47.500 So if anything, the SSPX priest is able to hear confession in every diocese.
00:16:54.540 So, no, there's no problem with going to the SSPX for Masses and for confessions and for marriages.
00:17:04.720 So I hope that answers your question.
00:17:06.860 And our final question for today comes from Olivia in Gainesville, Florida.
00:17:12.580 Olivia writes,
00:17:13.500 My question is,
00:17:34.840 What do you think devout Catholics can do to support others who do not wish to take the vaccine or others who are being subjected to vaccine mandates?
00:17:45.020 Wow.
00:17:45.300 Well, yes, it certainly does seem like something sinister.
00:17:51.020 I wouldn't yet say the mark of the beast, but it certainly seems that we're headed in that direction.
00:17:56.180 With the mark of the beast, and I don't want to go too far down this road, but with the mark of the beast, we will be doing something that is known to be intrinsically evil.
00:18:06.840 And I think while for a lot of people it's obvious that, you know, we're accepting an aborted, tainted jab, when you know that and how horrific that is and what that means, I can see that.
00:18:17.520 But for the most part, with the Pope, many of the bishops, and a lot of the even theologians and whatnot, professors and well-respected Catholics saying, yes, it's fine, it's good.
00:18:28.860 In fact, it's obligatory.
00:18:31.480 That makes it very difficult to discern what's right and what's wrong.
00:18:35.080 And that's why we have the confusion, you might say, a diabolic disorientation.
00:18:39.880 And so, yes, that's going on.
00:18:42.040 So what can we do to support those who are facing VAX mandates and so on?
00:18:47.640 Well, we should.
00:18:50.080 So for, let's say, for individuals who are facing the loss of their jobs and whatnot, you have to encourage them to stand up.
00:18:57.680 You have to encourage them to push back.
00:18:59.420 Because I'll give you a few examples.
00:19:02.320 I had a friend who was being removed from his job for this kind of thing.
00:19:07.300 In fact, he was suspended without pay indefinitely.
00:19:10.060 And he's a father of eight children.
00:19:12.540 He's, you know, sole income earner.
00:19:15.100 What was he to do?
00:19:15.980 Well, he got a paralegal and fought the case.
00:19:19.440 He went to his employer and showed him, the paralegal showed him, and he, how unjust this was, how illegal it was.
00:19:26.720 And actually, they backed down.
00:19:28.580 And so often, people are resigning and just sort of hanging their heads as they leave their professions, their jobs for years and not pushing back.
00:19:39.340 They need to push back.
00:19:40.060 There are many legal entities across Canada, across the United States, that are helping individuals to fight back against the COVID tyranny, against the unjust, illegal vax mandates.
00:19:54.360 And they're being challenged in courts all over the world.
00:19:57.620 So we've got to do our part to encourage them to do that.
00:20:01.060 There are also exemptions.
00:20:03.920 There are both religious and medical exemptions.
00:20:07.020 I'm sure around the United States, you can get to a doctor who will give you a medical exemption.
00:20:14.000 You can go to the various doctors groups.
00:20:16.980 The, you know, the group that we work with at LifeSite most closely, the Truth for Health Foundation, is working very hard to do just that.
00:20:24.900 So you can go visit truthforhealth.org and find out all their resources there.
00:20:30.180 And in addition, those businesses that are really standing up for freedom, that are staying open, that refuse to discriminate based on vaccines, we need to patronize them.
00:20:43.640 They're really standing up for freedom right now.
00:20:45.600 And so we need to give them our business.
00:20:48.720 Let's do what we can to support one another.
00:20:50.780 Let's do what we can to support those standing heroically against these vax mandates.
00:20:55.460 Thanks so much, John Henry.
