00:00:00.000 Hello and welcome to this special episode of the John Henry Weston Show, where I'm very pleased to bring you one of the protesters, one of the pro-Trump protesters, who was actually at the rally and then in front of the Capitol building, actually defending the Capitol building doors from being smashed in by what seems to be Antifa playing a false flag operation.

00:01:12.820 In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.
00:01:16.480 Amen.
00:01:16.740 Amen.
00:01:18.480 We're going to call you Joseph.
00:01:20.040 So, Joseph, welcome to the program.
00:01:21.960 Thanks for having me on.
00:01:23.620 I totally understand.
00:01:25.300 With the massive cancel culture going on right now, you don't want to use your real name.
00:01:31.000 So, but I want to thank you for being on the program.
00:01:34.180 If you can start, just tell us.
00:01:36.160 First of all, you're from out of state.
00:01:37.520 You're not from D.C.
00:01:38.220 You came.
00:01:38.800 You're a Trump supporter.
00:01:40.200 Why did you come to D.C. in the first place?
00:01:42.460 Well, I came down to support Trump.
00:01:45.120 I think the election was stolen from him.
00:01:47.840 I think there's no way Biden got 80, was 81 million votes.
00:01:52.200 There's just so much rampant evidence of fraud that I had to come out and say something about it.
00:01:56.520 Now, you played a very interesting role because there's a lot of video out there of people smashing windows.
00:02:04.020 And there's one particular video that's most interesting.
00:02:07.620 A lot of people are screaming Antifa, Antifa, Antifa, while a guy is using some kind of a baton to kind of smash an upper window there.
00:02:18.440 And then someone tackles him and brings him down.
00:02:21.440 I want to get your perspective on that because you faced something very similar where you also heard the crowd chanting Antifa and were defending.
00:02:29.460 Can you tell us what happened?
00:02:30.280 Well, it was after we had gotten up on top of the scaffolding onto, like, the second tier of the Capitol.
00:02:37.520 And I think there was the middle door that the people were trying to get into.
00:02:43.160 And then there were two windows on the outside of that.
00:02:45.880 So I was up standing near one of the windows.
00:02:48.820 And, you know, some kind of lanky looking guy came up with a stick and started bashing it.
00:02:53.480 A few of the other people around there were saying he was Antifa and chased him off, but he kept trying to come back.
00:03:02.180 So the people around there asked—actually, they asked a friend of mine first to guard the window.
00:03:07.000 He was there with me, and he guarded it for a while, and then I took over after him.
00:03:11.840 You know, he did come back a few times.
00:03:13.520 There were a couple of Trump supporters who were angry, who I think were incited by all the stuff going on around them, who came up.
00:03:21.700 But they were pretty easy to talk down, and once you talked them down, they didn't really come back or try to break anything.
00:03:27.740 But the Antifa people kept coming back.
00:03:30.420 Now, how clear to you was it that they were, in fact, Antifa people?
00:03:35.100 So I hadn't seen them before myself, but other people around me were saying that they had seen them with Antifa earlier that day.
00:03:42.560 There was footage that we saw of various groups huddled together of obvious Antifa people making plans to cause a ruckus.
00:03:52.020 A lot of those guys were in hard hats.
00:03:54.760 What were the ones coming to break the window?
00:03:56.960 What were they wearing?
00:03:58.020 So he was just in a—I think it was a red shirt, and I think he had a red hat on, but I don't think it was a MAGA hat.
00:04:05.340 It was just a regular red hat.
00:04:06.800 He had, like, no clear markings on him that I could see.
00:04:09.820 Like, everybody else there had, you know, flags on, like a Gadsden flag or an American flag or something.
00:04:16.800 I didn't notice.
00:04:17.920 The one thing that kind of seemed odd is that he didn't really have any particular markings on him.
00:04:21.660 What's the mood there?
00:04:22.800 Describe the mood as you saw it.
00:04:26.360 You said while you were walking there, you know, there was some interaction with police.
00:04:32.160 Describe what happened.
00:04:33.100 We joined the march, you know, as people were walking up the—I forget what that's called—the stretch from the obelisk up to the Capitol.
00:04:43.140 Right.
00:04:43.520 And, you know, we just kind of merged in with the crowd there.
00:04:46.220 You know, I thought we were just going around to the stage where there was going to be another set of speeches in the protest.
00:04:52.060 And then, I guess, people started throwing fireworks at the police.
00:04:57.520 I'm not sure who was throwing the fireworks.
00:05:00.040 And then I saw the police attacking people in the crowd.
00:05:04.040 And then the crowd got upset that they were being attacked.
00:05:07.420 And they ended up just pushing past the police into the courtyard at the Capitol.
00:05:11.880 It really is quite something with such a large crowd to try and figure out who's who and what's what, particularly with some of what some people are calling false flag operations, where Antifa's inciting the crowd.
00:05:25.160 There's some incredible video, which we've seen from Epoch Times headed out, where they do kind of an analysis of the type of instigation that seemed to go on.
00:05:36.720 And you had people egging on the crowd and then doing a lot of the big time damage themselves and then backing away and letting happen whatever happened thereafter.
00:05:44.900 And that seemed to happen right with the shooting of that young lady, the former veteran.
00:05:50.500 So it was very, very tragic indeed.
00:05:53.320 So you were saying as you were going up there.
00:05:56.160 Yeah.
00:05:56.460 So after people had forced their way into the courtyard, it was kind of like packed in there like sardines pretty tightly.
00:06:03.840 I know there was tear gas going off in there for a while that would kind of break it up a little bit, but there wasn't much space to move.
00:06:11.920 So people started climbing up the scaffolding, which was on either side of the Capitol.
00:06:16.740 And then you go up.
00:06:18.160 I think the top of it was like four stories.
00:06:20.260 The lower part was only a couple stories.
00:06:23.040 I actually saw something I was surprised to see was there was like little old ladies with walking canes who climbed up the scaffolding.
00:06:30.060 I held their canes for them and stuff, but, you know, then once you're, once you're actually up on the scaffolding, it just joins with where the stairs go down normally.
00:06:42.820 So, you know, then you could actually leave if you wanted to or just stay up at the top of the terrace, which is where I was.
00:06:50.300 This is where the people were that were trying to break through to trying to break these windows that you were guarding.
00:06:54.300 Yeah, they would keep coming from time to time because it was more space out up top where people could actually come and go up the stairs and get there.
00:07:02.040 I'm like down in the courtyard.
00:07:03.620 And why were you defending the Capitol building?
00:07:06.780 Why were you stopping it from being, windows from being broken?
00:07:10.060 What was the motivation there?
00:07:11.260 I didn't want us to be portrayed in the media the way we are as we're just, you know, looking like crazy rioters trying to smash things.
00:07:19.580 Because I figured even if we did make it, if the group moved into the Capitol and occupied it or something, it should be peaceful.
00:07:25.980 And I think, you know, that's what a lot of people thought they were just planning on going and standing there and not smashing up the place, which is what some people were trying to do.
00:07:34.840 Right. There have been countless sit-ins at the Capitol, although that might be new to some people.
00:07:40.440 There's very often sit-ins at the Capitol.
00:07:43.580 But this one is being described by Joe Biden as Pearl Harbor.
00:07:50.400 You having been there yourself and seeing it and perhaps its aftermath, can you tell us what you thought of what was going on?
00:07:57.780 Well, so one thing, I saw the media was saying that everyone was armed and marching there.
00:08:02.660 I didn't see anyone there who was armed.
00:08:05.180 My friend says he saw one guy with a knife.
00:08:07.620 As far as I know, it was never used.
00:08:09.460 You know, the only thing they were armed with was the flagpoles that they had.
00:08:14.520 And I think a couple of them grabbed weapons off of the police and grabbed the riot shields off the police.
00:08:21.460 In fact, I have a video of that happening.
00:08:23.220 Actually, there was one old lady who was up there, and she didn't even know that we weren't supposed to be up there, that we had gone through the barricade at that point.
00:08:33.240 I guess she had come up the stairs later.
00:08:35.200 So she was asking me, well, what's the deal with the police?
00:08:40.260 Why are they all surrounding us?
00:08:41.340 And I explained, you know, how we pushed through the barrier earlier.
00:08:44.820 And she was like, oh, I didn't want to get tear gas.
00:08:48.880 And then she just ran off down the steps.
00:08:51.580 Unbelievable.
00:08:52.020 So, I mean, what is being portrayed right now is just an unbelievable picture.
00:08:58.020 So it's very good to talk to you because you're giving us perspective from on the ground as one of the people actually defending the Capitol building from damage.
00:09:07.180 What are your thoughts for America right now as to tell them really what's happened as opposed to what they're getting from the mainstream media right now?
00:09:14.220 Well, this isn't just some violent mob that's trying to overthrow the government.
00:09:18.960 It was a group of protesters who, I think some of them got a little bit hot-headed when, especially when Antifa started instigating things.
00:09:27.300 Not to say they wouldn't have done anything on their own, but it certainly wouldn't have been as bad.
00:09:32.780 And I think they were there for a peaceful protest.
00:09:35.540 But the stage just seemed to disappear.
00:09:38.160 No one knew where we were supposed to go once we got down to the Capitol.
00:09:41.680 It seems like a lot of things were put into this to try to make it look as bad as possible.
00:09:47.180 Well, Joseph, thank you so much for being with us.
00:09:49.480 Any parting thoughts for us?
00:09:51.240 I will tell you about the police officer who died.
00:09:55.480 I didn't see him get beat or anything, but I will say as an added bonus thing, I did see a guy with a fire extinguisher spraying up near the doorway earlier.
00:10:08.280 And then I had heard some commotion later on about how a guy had his, someone had tried to take a police officer's, I guess it was a mace cannon or something, and pulled away from him.
00:10:22.800 Ended up dragging him out into the crowd.
00:10:25.300 And all I heard from the crowd was people yelling, safe passage, safe passage, saying, don't hurt the police officer.
00:10:31.940 Just take his weapon and let him pass.
00:10:34.380 And so I didn't actually see what happened to the police officer, but from what I had heard, it sounded like they just ushered him out of the crowd and didn't really hurt him.
00:10:43.880 So I was surprised to hear later that he actually died.
00:10:46.660 I guess someone hit him with the fire extinguisher.
00:10:48.620 Yeah, there's video now of a fellow throwing the fire extinguisher at police and it hitting an officer on the head.
00:10:57.120 And I believe that that was fatal.
00:10:59.640 It seems that's from the video that it seems.
00:11:01.680 And one of the officers died, Officer Sicknick, passed away tragically in this thing.
00:11:08.140 And so they are searching for that villain who actually perpetrated that crime.
00:11:13.140 And so for America to look at this now and see the tragedies, the tragedies of death, we are, I mean, this is absolutely horrendous that this happened.
00:11:21.220 But here you are in a protest with over a million people, even marching to the Capitol.
00:11:28.680 There was hundreds of thousands.
00:11:30.600 To see what went on from the ground is very, very important because this is being called the greatest tragedy America has ever seen and so on and so forth.
00:11:38.640 And yet that's not the reality on the ground.
00:11:40.740 While there was some violence indeed, and it's tragic that there was, while there was this smashing into the Capitol, there's people like yourself who tried to prevent that.
00:11:49.540 God bless you, and we'll see you next time on The John Henry Weston Show.
