Summary

Disney has a new show in the works, and it's being promoted as the gayest Star Wars show yet. What does that have to do with anything? And what does it mean for the future of Star Wars as we know it?

Transcript

00:00:00.000 As far as Disney is concerned, I'm a white male.
00:00:04.360 That's not who they're looking to promote.
00:00:06.140 They're not considering anyone else for a shop.
00:00:08.200 Disney blatantly discriminates against white men in particular.
00:00:12.480 Eight months ago, Disney CEO Bob Iger publicly pledged to pursue the first option.
00:00:16.960 He declared that Disney would refocus its efforts on entertainment, not political messaging.
00:00:21.100 That was the plan, or at least the plan that was shared with the public.
00:00:24.280 But that's not what has happened.
00:00:25.880 Disney, over the past eight months, has apparently decided to double down on agenda-driven content
00:00:30.400 to the point that they're now openly attacking their own fans.
00:00:33.720 It's a remarkable turn of events, and it's one that's worth discussing
00:00:36.780 because this development is not unique to Disney.
00:00:39.680 And it suggests that wokeness, as we call it, may not be the best way to describe
00:00:44.160 what we're seeing at Disney and other major corporations like it.
00:00:48.460 That's part of what we're seeing, but there's something else going on here as well.
00:00:52.500 It looks a lot like corporate mediocrity run amok.
00:00:55.500 The private sector version of what we see across the public sector bureaucracy.
00:01:00.240 Unimpressive people with impressive-sounding credentials who check the right demographic boxes
00:01:04.760 are taking the helm of businesses and products that they don't understand.
00:01:08.820 They've insinuated themselves into these companies like a cancer
00:01:12.020 that's evidently impossible to remove.
00:01:14.760 And even when the company CEO publicly tells them one thing, they're free to do another.
00:01:19.900 Now, to get a better idea of what I mean, take a look at this interview from the other day
00:01:23.720 featuring Leslie Hedlund, the creator of the new Disney Star Wars show, The Acolyte.
00:01:29.960 Now, I don't want to prejudice you in any way, so I'll just play the clip with no further introduction.
00:01:35.620 This is the showrunner talking about her new show.
00:01:39.800 Watch.
00:01:40.060 I want to ask you both because this is, I would say, arguably the gayest Star Wars, I think, by a considerable margin.
00:01:47.700 And are you excited about that?
00:01:50.660 Are you bracing yourself?
00:01:51.800 Not the gayest Star Wars.
00:01:52.540 Not the gayest Star Wars.
00:01:54.020 It's pretty gay.
00:01:54.820 Let's be honest.
00:01:57.220 Leslie, are you...
00:01:58.400 How do you feel?
00:01:58.880 Am I gay?
00:01:59.580 Yes.
00:01:59.720 Well, no, I know you are gay, but I'm asking, are you excited about putting this...
00:02:02.980 You know, this is going to be a talking point.
00:02:05.400 Is it going to be a talking point?
00:02:06.840 I'm sure some...
00:02:07.460 Because nerds are gay.
00:02:08.860 Yeah.
00:02:09.280 Well, some nerds are very not gay and are very threatened by gay stuff.
00:02:12.560 Well, that's true.
00:02:13.240 But in my world, nerds are gay.
00:02:15.080 Okay.
00:02:17.140 Was this the fun element of...
00:02:18.720 No, I don't think so.
00:02:20.260 And yet, people have told me that it's the gayest Star Wars, and I, frankly...
00:02:24.860 You're fended?
00:02:26.020 Into it.
00:02:26.360 You think it should be...
00:02:26.780 No, I...
00:02:27.260 I think that Star Wars is so gay already.
00:02:31.380 Okay.
00:02:31.880 I mean, have you seen the fits?
00:02:34.520 We'd be like, look how gay this is, and then send each other a reference photo.
00:02:37.800 And are you telling me, with a straight face, that C-3PO is straight?
00:02:41.340 They're a couple.
00:02:42.420 That's what I think.
00:02:43.880 But this is more outward.
00:02:45.540 I think it's canon that R2-D2 is a lesbian.
00:02:50.140 So don't worry about the story or the plot or the characters.
00:02:52.700 Who has time for that?
00:02:53.320 Instead, just listen to these two women.
00:02:54.740 They're excited that this new Star Wars show will be the gayest Star Wars show yet, which
00:03:03.560 is, in every way, the exact opposite of what the audience actually wants.
00:03:08.240 Nobody has watched the recent Star Wars films and shows and said to themselves, you know,
00:03:16.840 this would be better if only it was even gayer.
00:03:19.000 No one has thought that, except for, apparently, the people behind this show.
00:03:23.940 Now, the only thing you learn from that interview is that Leslie Hedlund is gay and has no respect
00:03:27.780 whatsoever for her audience or her own show.
00:03:30.540 This is how Disney is promoting the latest entry to franchise.
00:03:33.520 They spent $4 billion to buy a decade ago.
00:03:36.480 And that has a lot of fans wondering how exactly she was chosen for the role of showrunner.
00:03:40.580 If her role is to push some subversive, woke ideology, she's not being very subversive
00:03:45.320 about it.
00:03:46.380 She's just angering as many fans as she possibly can.
00:03:50.000 And that's, you know, all this is.
00:03:51.680 And she's not the only CEO, the only one doing this.
00:03:54.020 The CEO of Lucasfilm, a woman named Kathleen Kennedy, just came out in defense of her showrunner.
00:03:59.200 Kennedy declared that if you're not a fan of how Leslie Hedlund is handling herself,
00:04:04.760 then you probably hate women.
00:04:06.720 Quote, I think Leslie has struggled a little bit with it.
00:04:09.620 I think a lot of the women who step into Star Wars struggle with this a bit more.
00:04:13.940 Because of the fan base being so male-dominated, they sometimes get attacked in ways that can
00:04:17.780 be quite personal.
00:04:18.880 My belief is that storytelling does need to be representative of all people.
00:04:23.260 That's an easy decision for me.
00:04:26.620 Yeah, she really said that.
00:04:27.980 Storytelling does need to be representative of all people, says the CEO of Lucasfilm as she
00:04:34.040 mocks her own fan base.
00:04:35.160 These people are so dumb, they don't even understand the words coming out of their own
00:04:39.840 mouth.
00:04:40.140 Is representative of all people?
00:04:41.960 Really?
00:04:42.980 Are they going to have 8 billion characters in this show?
00:04:45.640 One for each person on earth?
00:04:48.100 How exactly does that work?
00:04:50.620 Is storytelling supposed to be representative of all people, whatever that means?
00:04:54.180 Or is it supposed to be representative of the creative, distinct, creative vision of
00:04:58.140 the storyteller?
00:04:58.960 I was going to show some more clips of these women, but it's honestly too painful to subject
00:05:03.900 you to.
00:05:04.220 These are people who can't even communicate without descending into Valley Girl nonsense.
00:05:07.820 And they're putting together shows that they expect millions of people to watch.
00:05:11.780 Kathleen Kennedy was lucky enough to work with Steven Spielberg, and Leslie Hedlund worked
00:05:15.860 on rom-coms with titles like Sleeping With Other People.
00:05:18.520 So those are their credentials, and they're considered impressive in the industry, I guess.
00:05:23.100 So they get to continue butchering Star Wars.
00:05:24.900 By the way, The Acolyte was released this week.
00:05:26.980 I think it was released yesterday.
00:05:28.200 And as has become a new tradition for Star Wars films and shows, it has a very high critic
00:05:34.760 score of Rotten Tomatoes, like 88%, but a failing grade of 45% from the audience.
00:05:40.740 That is the dynamic we always see now with these things.
00:05:44.480 Joel Berry, who apparently subjected himself to at least some of the show, offered this
00:05:48.660 review, quote,
00:05:49.880 The Acolyte is a queer Marxist vandalization of the myth of Star Wars.
00:05:53.580 In The Acolyte, the force is a metaphor for cultural hegemonic power.
00:05:57.120 The Jedi are a metaphor for cisgender white oppressors who hoard the power for themselves.
00:06:02.240 Yes, it really is that obnoxious and stupid.
00:06:05.440 The account Wall Street Silver offered this viewer warning, quote,
00:06:09.120 The Acolyte, Star Wars' new series streaming, is very woke.
00:06:12.220 Number one, main character has two mothers.
00:06:14.200 Number two, main Jedi characters are all black and Asian, no white men.
00:06:18.260 And number three, only speaking role for white men in first episode is prisoners on a prison
00:06:22.420 ship.
00:06:24.480 So Disney has decided to right the ship by ramming it directly into another iceberg.
00:06:30.060 That's not to pick on The Acolyte too much, although it obviously deserves it.
00:06:34.200 Because of the fact that Disney is now pumping out Star Wars shows on an assembly line,
00:06:37.520 there's another one that I can mock as well.
00:06:39.400 It's called Tales of the Empire.
00:06:41.320 This one is apparently geared towards kids, and I guess it features a non-binary Jedi based
00:06:45.860 on how all the characters use they, them pronouns to refer to this corpse.
00:06:50.520 Watch this.
00:06:51.100 I think we've played this once before, but here it is again.
00:06:54.840 If you can get through it, here it is.
00:06:56.280 Watch.
00:06:56.460 They're still alive.
00:07:04.740 We need to get them to the ship.
00:07:06.740 We can save them.
00:07:07.940 Forget it.
00:07:09.020 Let them die.
00:07:10.580 It's not worth the trouble.
00:07:16.360 They were about to surrender.
00:07:18.540 Irrelevant.
00:07:19.060 The Jedi are a threat to be eradicated wherever they are found.
00:07:26.100 Oh yeah, we did play that before because I remember now.
00:07:28.580 That's the one where the bad guy, I guess it's a bad guy, kills someone,
00:07:35.140 but then still respects that person's pronouns after having murdered them.
00:07:41.000 So that's nice at least.
00:07:42.760 This is the result of Disney's big plan to focus on entertainment and not messaging.
00:07:48.300 We have non-binary Jedis and girl bosses making sure we have the gayest Star Wars ever.
00:07:54.500 And that's not all.
00:07:55.560 As Bloomberg recently reported, Disney is now banking on the upcoming film Inside Out 2
00:07:59.680 as the, quote, key to restoring the magic.
00:08:01.780 They think that this film, a sequel to a movie from 2015, is going to be a smash hit
00:08:05.600 to the point that they're going to give it a 100-day run in theaters.
00:08:09.080 As Bloomberg reports, quote,
00:08:10.340 If families show up for Inside Out 2 in the kinds of numbers Pixar used to see,
00:08:14.380 it will reaffirm the studio's standing.
00:08:17.780 But if the movie fails, it will fuel concerns about the company's relevance.
00:08:23.020 And by the way, the whole article is kind of funny because it's all about how Disney,
00:08:27.260 they've come up with their brilliant strategy to get back on track.
00:08:33.500 And their brilliant strategy is to do more sequels and remakes.
00:08:36.920 That's the strategy.
00:08:37.860 And of course, anyone reads that, isn't that what you've been doing
00:08:40.000 the whole time?
00:08:40.660 Isn't that the only thing you've done for 20 years now?
00:08:44.420 Now, what is Inside Out 2 going to be about?
00:08:46.720 It's hard to say because it's not out yet.
00:08:48.160 But after some Googling, I came across this headline from an outlet called Pride.com.
00:08:52.980 And here's their assessment based on the trailer.
00:08:55.200 Quote,
00:08:55.360 The long-awaited sequel to Disney and Pixar's Inside Out isn't hitting theaters until the summer.
00:08:59.140 But the official trailer dropped this week and it's looking a little gay.
00:09:02.640 Fans think Inside Out 2 is going to be gay as F.
00:09:06.860 Now, how brave is that?
00:09:09.520 Are they also going to, they're also going to, I guess, gayify Inside Out?
00:09:13.860 Or maybe they will.
00:09:15.120 Which was kind of a middling Pixar entry in the first place.
00:09:17.980 Is that the direction they're going with it?
00:09:19.500 Who knows?
00:09:19.900 But based on the fact that they can't make anything that isn't gay anymore,
00:09:23.160 we can assume that the answer to that question is probably yes.
00:09:25.360 If you've been watching any significant amount of Disney content over the past few years,
00:09:29.780 there's a question that's probably crossed your mind at some point.
00:09:32.580 As you gaze upon the two lesbian mothers in the kids' show Young Jedi Adventures,
00:09:37.460 or the non-binary Jedi in Tales of the Empire,
00:09:41.100 or the gay kisses in Lightyear and Rise of Skywalker,
00:09:44.960 or the communist lesbian witches in The Acolyte,
00:09:48.060 or the prominent trans character in Baymax,
00:09:50.660 or the non-binary Lake character in Elemental,
00:09:53.640 or the gay moment in Endgame,
00:09:55.720 or the purple gay Cyclops police officer in Onward,
00:09:59.160 or the first ever biracial gay cartoon character in Strange World,
00:10:03.540 you may have caught yourself thinking,
00:10:05.040 what the hell is going on inside the company?
00:10:07.500 If this is what they're producing as entertainment
00:10:09.480 for the millions of people in the audience,
00:10:12.880 how dysfunctional are the inner workings of Disney exactly?
00:10:15.940 If they're so fixated on sexuality and race
00:10:17.900 that they have to ram so-called marginalized identities
00:10:21.080 into every orifice of their streaming and film shows,
00:10:25.740 what would it be like to actually work at a place like this?
00:10:29.180 You may ask yourself.
00:10:30.820 We don't have to ask those questions anymore, though,
00:10:32.640 because yesterday, James O'Keefe,
00:10:33.940 formerly the head of Project Veritas,
00:10:35.540 and now the CEO of OMG Media,
00:10:38.020 provided an exclusive window into the inner workings of Disney.
00:10:41.760 One of O'Keefe's undercover operatives
00:10:43.380 recorded an intimate conversation
00:10:45.300 with a senior vice president at the company
00:10:47.620 named Michael Gardino,
00:10:49.220 and it's simultaneously an incredibly shocking piece of footage
00:10:53.480 in some ways,
00:10:54.720 as well as, at the same time,
00:10:55.920 everything you'd expect it to be.
00:10:57.520 In this clip, Gardino appears to admit
00:10:59.540 on multiple occasions
00:11:00.880 that Disney discriminates against job applicants
00:11:03.840 on the basis of their skin color and their gender.
00:11:07.220 According to Gardino,
00:11:08.600 the company will look at a white man
00:11:10.900 and decide,
00:11:11.880 because of immutable characteristics that he can't control,
00:11:14.440 that he is disqualified from employment.
00:11:17.500 In fact, on at least one occasion,
00:11:19.600 this executive says that Disney higher-ups
00:11:21.620 disqualified a half-black applicant
00:11:23.780 because he didn't look black enough.
00:11:27.000 Now, I'll provide the usual disclaimer
00:11:28.400 that, of course, I haven't personally seen
00:11:30.480 all of O'Keefe's unedited footage,
00:11:32.220 but here's some of what O'Keefe aired.
00:11:35.360 Watch.
00:11:35.600 Certainly, there have been times where, you know,
00:11:40.560 there's no way we're hiding a white man.
00:11:42.780 It's just kind of unspoken.
00:11:45.760 There are times when it's spoken.
00:11:47.580 How would they say it?
00:11:49.160 There's no way we're hiding a white man.
00:11:50.460 According to these videotapes,
00:11:52.780 Disney blatantly discriminates against whites,
00:11:56.520 white men in particular.
00:11:58.220 I think I'm sort of, like, well-prepared for it.
00:12:03.600 I'm well-positioned for it.
00:12:06.140 But as far as Disney's concerned,
00:12:08.080 I'm a white male.
00:12:08.960 That's not who they're looking to promote as the most.
00:12:12.040 You know, I've been at the company 11 years now,
00:12:14.620 so I have friends in HR,
00:12:15.880 and I have friends in those divisions,
00:12:17.380 and they're like, look,
00:12:18.420 nobody else is going to tell you this, Mike,
00:12:19.840 but they're not considering any white males for this job.
00:12:23.080 They're just not.
00:12:24.940 That's not who they want.
00:12:26.200 They even passed over a qualified half-black person
00:12:29.320 for a promotion
00:12:30.120 because they didn't look black enough.
00:12:33.880 We wanted to hire somebody in the department
00:12:35.760 a few years ago now
00:12:36.900 who was half-black
00:12:40.300 but didn't, like, appear half-black.
00:12:43.400 And there was a creative executive who was like,
00:12:46.800 we're not, like, that's not what's going on.
00:12:50.280 Like, they wanted somebody in meetings
00:12:51.940 who would appear a certain way,
00:12:53.380 and he wasn't going to bring that to the media.
00:12:56.500 I mean, it kind of feels like we're, you know,
00:13:00.140 at some point there's going to be a lawsuit.
00:13:02.520 That's kind of how it feels.
00:13:06.200 Now, when civil rights laws were first passed,
00:13:09.260 laws that mandated that businesses
00:13:10.720 stop discriminating on the basis of race,
00:13:12.820 there were quite a few businesses in this country
00:13:14.700 that had to close.
00:13:15.660 In some cases, the owner simply didn't want
00:13:18.200 to serve black customers or hire black employees.
00:13:20.500 In other cases, the business did attempt to integrate,
00:13:23.020 but their clientele wouldn't stand for it.
00:13:24.680 They wanted to see certain races excluded
00:13:27.180 from the whole operation,
00:13:28.440 and when that was no longer allowed,
00:13:29.880 they stopped patronizing the business anyway.
00:13:33.060 And after watching this footage,
00:13:34.880 for the first time, it's not hard to see
00:13:36.460 how a major entertainment juggernaut like Disney
00:13:38.800 could someday meet the same fate
00:13:40.760 as all those businesses that crumbled
00:13:42.340 in the aftermath of the civil rights movement.
00:13:45.340 You know, if what this executive is saying is true,
00:13:47.600 then there's a very strong case to be made
00:13:49.300 that Disney is flagrantly and systematically
00:13:51.520 violating civil rights law.
00:13:53.580 Like, in the most flagrant way possible, actually.
00:13:57.100 In this country, in pretty much every case,
00:13:59.360 businesses are not allowed to deny employment
00:14:02.340 on the basis of race or gender.
00:14:04.580 Race or gender can't even be one of the reasons
00:14:06.880 why an employee is promoted or rejected
00:14:09.080 or hired or fired.
00:14:10.780 You're not allowed to consider it at all.
00:14:12.800 That's the way the law is supposedly set up.
00:14:16.120 And Michael Gardino appears to realize that,
00:14:18.500 which is why he says on the tape
00:14:19.920 that Disney is likely to face a massive lawsuit
00:14:21.820 in the near future.
00:14:23.220 Now, will the law actually be enforced against Disney?
00:14:26.500 Well, that remains to be seen.
00:14:27.980 We all know that, for the most part,
00:14:29.420 the civil rights law works in one direction.
00:14:31.660 It's rare, though certainly not unheard of,
00:14:33.980 for white plaintiffs to successfully sue
00:14:36.120 for workplace discrimination.
00:14:37.060 But in this case, there's a Disney executive
00:14:39.680 saying explicitly on tape that, in his estimation,
00:14:42.980 the company discriminates on the basis of race and gender.
00:14:45.420 And as of now, the only response from Disney
00:14:48.300 has been that Michael Gardino
00:14:49.520 has taken down his LinkedIn page.
00:14:51.220 But other than that, they haven't said anything.
00:14:52.200 They haven't put out any kind of explanation
00:14:54.160 or statement one way or another
00:14:55.400 about the fact that one of their senior executives
00:14:59.100 says that the company is systematically
00:15:01.000 discriminating against white people.
00:15:03.680 Of course, from internal Disney footage
00:15:06.660 previously released by Chris Ruffeau,
00:15:09.000 we know that Disney executives
00:15:10.300 generally want to advance a culture
00:15:12.420 of racial equity and so on.
00:15:14.980 So it's not exactly a stretch to assume
00:15:16.700 that they're on board with this
00:15:18.100 at the highest levels of the company.
00:15:20.140 This is a very big problem for Disney.
00:15:21.580 It only gets worse.
00:15:23.120 Have you ever come across somebody saying
00:15:24.660 that capitalism is evil or something similar?
00:15:27.260 Maybe in a video online on TV
00:15:28.900 or just talking with someone.
00:15:30.720 What was your reaction if you did?
00:15:32.200 When did capitalism become
00:15:33.620 such a hot-button issue anyway?
00:15:35.280 Well, it seems like people have
00:15:36.380 such strong opinions about it
00:15:37.560 and very little understanding
00:15:38.920 of capitalism as a whole.
00:15:40.640 Luckily, if you're looking to expand
00:15:42.660 your knowledge and horizons
00:15:43.720 on a broad range of topics,
00:15:45.300 including subjects like capitalism,
00:15:47.480 Hillsdale College is offering
00:15:48.600 more than 40 free online courses.
00:15:51.160 That's right, completely free.
00:15:52.680 You can learn about
00:15:53.260 the United States Constitution,
00:15:54.660 explore stories from the book of Genesis,
00:15:56.720 discover the rise and fall
00:15:57.660 of the Roman Republic,
00:15:58.500 or even study the history
00:15:59.920 of the ancient Christian church.
00:16:01.420 I do recommend watching their new course,
00:16:03.480 Understanding Capitalism.
00:16:05.180 In just seven lectures,
00:16:06.120 you'll learn about the role
00:16:07.260 of profit and loss,
00:16:08.380 how human nature shapes our economy,
00:16:10.020 and why capitalism depends
00:16:11.780 on private property rights,
00:16:13.280 the rule of law, and freedom.
00:16:14.820 You'll also discover
00:16:15.360 why capitalism actually encourages morality
00:16:17.400 rather than undermining it,
00:16:18.760 like today's varying political agendas
00:16:20.340 would have you believe.
00:16:21.380 Understanding economics and capitalism
00:16:23.080 empowers individuals and societies
00:16:25.180 to make informed decisions,
00:16:26.980 evaluate policy impacts,
00:16:28.300 and anticipate market changes,
00:16:30.140 ultimately creating
00:16:30.900 more prosperous communities.

00:16:44.100 I wanted to mention this
00:16:45.320 from Daily Wire.
00:16:47.060 Disney is hiring a diversity,
00:16:48.780 equity, and inclusion director
00:16:50.220 who could earn up to four times
00:16:52.100 the national average income,
00:16:53.420 pushing a far-left agenda.
00:16:54.720 A job posting from the Walt Disney Company
00:16:57.720 for a DEI director role
00:16:59.320 advertises a minimum salary
00:17:02.060 of $197,000 a year,
00:17:05.720 a maximum salary of a little over $241,000.
00:17:09.500 The average American salary in 2024
00:17:11.340 is $59,428 annually.
00:17:15.560 The job description reads,
00:17:17.460 We're seeking a director
00:17:18.300 of strategic external engagement,
00:17:20.020 Enterprise DEI,
00:17:21.820 to lead our efforts
00:17:22.700 in building strategic relationships
00:17:24.080 with external stakeholders,
00:17:25.380 driving community engagement,
00:17:26.560 and generating valuable insights
00:17:28.060 to support our diversity,
00:17:29.260 equity, and inclusion objectives.
00:17:31.680 The new director will be tasked
00:17:33.740 with advancing the company's
00:17:35.080 left-wing program
00:17:36.080 and be required to lead initiatives
00:17:38.360 focused on specific dimensions
00:17:39.940 of diversity
00:17:40.640 and amplify DEI content
00:17:43.240 and communicate progress.
00:17:44.840 So this is still happening
00:17:47.960 at Disney.
00:17:49.260 And that's one takeaway here
00:17:51.520 is that any hope
00:17:54.140 that Disney will unwoke itself
00:17:57.540 and get away from wokeness,
00:18:00.100 any hope, I think,
00:18:01.500 is greatly misplaced.
00:18:04.600 Because Disney is,
00:18:05.760 this is what Disney is
00:18:06.800 to its core at this point.
00:18:08.720 It's what much of corporate America is.
00:18:11.060 And in some cases,
00:18:13.860 some of these companies
00:18:14.620 might get a little embarrassed
00:18:15.680 about some of the DEI stuff
00:18:16.960 because it's, I think,
00:18:20.000 now roundly recognized
00:18:21.760 by most Americans
00:18:23.020 as a waste of time at best.
00:18:27.260 Although it's much worse
00:18:28.260 than a waste of time.
00:18:29.380 So they might get
00:18:29.860 a little embarrassed about it.
00:18:30.900 They don't put it front and center.
00:18:32.940 I think you're going to find
00:18:34.600 some of these companies
00:18:35.200 start rebranding.
00:18:36.880 I mean, I'm actually surprised
00:18:38.780 that they still use
00:18:39.880 the letters DEI at all,
00:18:42.320 that they haven't already
00:18:43.140 rebranded it.
00:18:44.420 Still keep it in place,
00:18:45.400 but just call it something else.
00:18:47.340 Even move the letters around.
00:18:49.500 Maybe call it IDE,
00:18:51.260 Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity.
00:18:54.640 So I'm surprised
00:18:55.480 they haven't done that yet.
00:18:59.000 They will do it eventually.
00:19:00.640 But we are far from the point
00:19:07.080 where Disney will be anything
00:19:10.340 but a radically left company
00:19:12.680 because, again,
00:19:13.280 this is down to the core
00:19:14.700 of who they are,
00:19:17.440 their corporate identity.
00:19:18.980 Now, since they are hiring
00:19:22.040 a DEI leader in the company,
00:19:26.140 I do have to say,
00:19:26.880 and I'm just throwing this out there,
00:19:28.720 that I am,
00:19:29.480 I don't know if you heard this,
00:19:30.720 but I am officially
00:19:31.680 DEI certified.
00:19:33.240 And I would happily
00:19:34.300 take on this role.
00:19:35.540 This is something
00:19:35.980 that I would do.
00:19:36.880 I would tackle
00:19:37.660 this important task.
00:19:38.740 And I'm well equipped.
00:19:40.860 I have the skills necessary
00:19:42.340 to, what was it,
00:19:44.280 amplify DEI content
00:19:46.100 and communicate progress.
00:19:48.540 I don't know what that means.
00:19:50.040 I suspect it means nothing.
00:19:52.500 But I'm ready to do it.
00:19:54.060 Whatever it is,
00:19:54.780 I'm ready to do it.
00:19:55.640 I can amplify content
00:19:56.740 all day long.
00:19:58.280 Amplifying content is easy.
00:20:00.340 Give me the content.
00:20:01.220 I'll amplify it.
00:20:01.900 And as far as communicating progress goes,
00:20:03.740 well, you know,
00:20:05.700 that's easy to do.
00:20:07.800 I don't know how,
00:20:08.460 I guess communicating progress
00:20:09.540 is just letting people know,
00:20:10.720 hey, we are progressing, folks.
00:20:12.880 There, I just did it.
00:20:13.880 I communicated progress.
00:20:17.100 And the great thing is
00:20:18.440 that literally anyone
00:20:22.040 can do these jobs
00:20:23.100 because this is not
00:20:24.260 a real thing.
00:20:26.260 Like we talked about yesterday,
00:20:28.380 Rob and D'Angelo
00:20:29.980 caught up in a plagiarism scandal.
00:20:33.320 And there's so much plagiarism
00:20:34.600 that goes on with these people
00:20:35.660 because it's not a real subject.
00:20:38.060 It's not a real thing.
00:20:40.560 There's only one central idea.
00:20:42.420 There's only one idea
00:20:43.700 that they have,
00:20:44.420 which is that white people
00:20:45.260 are bad and racist.
00:20:46.440 And that's really it.
00:20:47.400 That's all there is there.
00:20:48.560 And being a DEI expert,
00:20:52.780 all that means is that
00:20:54.220 you have accepted that doctrine.
00:20:56.420 And if you accept it
00:20:57.540 or at least pretend to accept it,
00:20:58.580 then you too can be a DEI expert
00:21:00.340 and maybe get a mid-six-figure job
00:21:03.800 at a place like Disney.
00:21:05.240 The latest uber-woke episode
00:21:07.120 from Disney's uber-woke children's show,
00:21:09.640 which is called The Proud Family.
00:21:11.320 Now, for a little bit of background,
00:21:12.540 The Proud Family was originally
00:21:13.480 a kid's show on the Disney Channel
00:21:15.000 back in the early 2000s.
00:21:16.240 It was canceled in 2005.
00:21:18.180 And then in 2022,
00:21:19.060 it became just the latest reboot
00:21:21.440 that nobody needed,
00:21:22.460 nobody asked for,
00:21:23.440 nobody wanted.
00:21:24.700 The rebooted Proud Family,
00:21:26.440 which can be found now on Disney+,
00:21:28.540 promises to be louder and prouder.
00:21:31.720 And it certainly fulfills
00:21:32.840 at least half of that promise.
00:21:35.180 A clip from a recent episode
00:21:36.120 has gone viral over the past few days.
00:21:37.580 And in it,
00:21:38.660 we are treated to what we're told
00:21:40.180 is a rap or a song
00:21:41.840 about the sinister origins
00:21:43.620 of the United States.
00:21:44.720 And here it is.
00:21:48.740 This country was built on slavery,
00:21:50.900 which means slaves built this country.
00:21:53.240 Tilled this land from sea to sea to sea.
00:21:55.260 First there was rice, tobacco, sugar cane.
00:21:57.200 Then Whitney did his thing
00:21:58.320 and cotton became king.
00:21:59.540 And we were its soldiers.
00:22:00.820 Four million strong.
00:22:01.960 Fighting for America's freedoms
00:22:03.180 even though we remained America's slaves.
00:22:04.980 Slaves built this country.
00:22:06.600 The descendants of slaves
00:22:07.680 continue to build it.
00:22:09.260 Slaves built this country.
00:22:10.820 And we, the descendants of slaves in America,
00:22:12.820 have earned reparations for their suffering.
00:22:15.000 And continue to earn reparations
00:22:16.900 every moment we spend submerged
00:22:18.520 in the systemic prejudice, racism, and
00:22:20.660 white supremacy
00:22:21.560 that America was founded with
00:22:23.340 and still has not atoned for.
00:22:25.200 Slaves built this country.
00:22:26.900 Not only field hands,
00:22:28.020 but carpenters' mazes.
00:22:29.400 Blacksmiths, musicians.
00:22:30.840 Inventors build cities
00:22:31.800 from Jamestown to New Orleans,
00:22:33.320 to Bannacombs, Washington.
00:22:34.840 Forty acres and a mule.
00:22:36.200 We'll take the 40 acres,
00:22:37.700 keep the mule.
00:22:38.640 We made your families rich.
00:22:40.100 From the southern plantation heirs,
00:22:41.920 to the northern bankers,
00:22:43.200 to the New England ship owners,
00:22:44.660 the founding fathers,
00:22:45.800 former presidents,
00:22:46.700 current senators,
00:22:47.660 the Illuminati,
00:22:48.620 the New World Order.
00:22:49.720 Slaves built this country.
00:22:51.140 We had Tubman,
00:22:52.160 Turner,
00:22:52.640 Frederick D.
00:22:53.300 Then they say Lincoln freed the slaves.
00:22:54.940 But slaves were meant.
00:22:56.000 And women.
00:22:56.960 And only we can free ourselves.
00:22:59.300 Emancipation is not freedom.
00:23:00.800 Jim Crow, segregation,
00:23:02.160 redlining,
00:23:02.760 public schools,
00:23:03.380 feeding private prisons
00:23:04.340 where we become slaves again.
00:23:06.120 As we celebrate Juneteenth,
00:23:07.840 for the umpteenth time,
00:23:09.220 our account is still outstanding.
00:23:11.260 Because this country was built on slavery,
00:23:13.060 which means
00:23:13.640 slaves built this country.
00:23:15.660 And we demand our 40 acres and a mule.
00:23:18.640 Bump that.
00:23:19.480 You can keep the mule.
00:23:20.480 Keep the 40.
00:23:21.260 We're taking our freedom.
00:23:23.040 Keep the mule.
00:23:24.040 Keep the mule.
00:23:24.460 Keep the mule.
00:23:26.760 Keep the mule.
00:23:28.280 Keep the mule.
00:23:32.260 Just some nice, wholesome children's content.
00:23:35.400 That's why I'll stick with Bluey, I think.
00:23:37.920 Okay, first of all,
00:23:40.120 there's been some misinformation
00:23:41.500 about the content of that clip.
00:23:43.320 People are saying that
00:23:44.080 the Disney show featured
00:23:46.640 an anti-American song.
00:23:49.420 Well, that is anti-American,
00:23:50.360 but it's not a song.
00:23:51.100 It's literally just shrill voices
00:23:52.760 chanting vacuous bumper sticker slogans
00:23:55.040 without rhyme or rhythm.
00:23:57.300 Which I guess, you know,
00:23:58.100 doesn't really separate it much
00:23:59.300 from many other pop songs.
00:24:00.840 But as Martin Luther King would say,
00:24:02.680 we should judge woke propaganda
00:24:04.060 by, not by its shrillness,
00:24:06.120 but by its content.
00:24:07.880 The content here is ridiculous
00:24:09.740 on multiple levels.
00:24:11.300 So let's go through them.
00:24:12.240 First, most importantly,
00:24:15.480 and it is really necessary
00:24:17.140 that we emphasize this,
00:24:18.300 slaves did not build this country.
00:24:22.340 This country was built
00:24:23.560 over the course of hundreds of years,
00:24:25.900 beginning long before it was a country.
00:24:28.080 The building started in the 1400s
00:24:29.900 when the first European explorers
00:24:31.200 sailed across treacherous
00:24:32.720 and uncharted seas
00:24:33.540 to discover these lands.
00:24:35.220 It continued with the European settlers
00:24:37.220 in the 1500s and 1600s
00:24:38.860 who built a life for themselves
00:24:40.000 in this unknown wilderness,
00:24:42.000 facing untold threats
00:24:43.300 and for many of them,
00:24:44.400 certain death.
00:24:45.780 This country was built by the colonists
00:24:47.780 and the American revolutionaries.
00:24:49.140 It was built by the pioneers
00:24:50.720 who expanded the country
00:24:51.760 from the east,
00:24:52.700 heading west out
00:24:53.520 into a hostile wilderness,
00:24:55.220 occupied by warring Indian tribes.
00:24:57.940 It was built by war and conquest,
00:24:59.760 by discovery, by diplomacy,
00:25:01.500 by industry.
00:25:03.220 It was built and then nearly undone
00:25:05.240 by a civil war
00:25:06.000 that killed 620,000 men,
00:25:08.420 then built up again,
00:25:09.780 only to thrive once more.
00:25:12.180 The country was built
00:25:13.000 by the people who made it
00:25:14.560 into the world's great power
00:25:15.680 in the 20th century,
00:25:16.560 who won world wars
00:25:17.740 and brought about peace
00:25:18.560 and economic prosperity.
00:25:19.800 It was built by many people
00:25:21.400 over many centuries.
00:25:23.180 And for a portion of that history,
00:25:25.820 some people in some parts
00:25:27.720 of the country own slaves.
00:25:30.400 That certainly is not enough
00:25:32.320 to justify the claim
00:25:33.380 that the slaves built the country.
00:25:35.860 To make that claim
00:25:36.900 is to erase nearly everyone
00:25:38.560 who really did build the country.
00:25:40.580 It's to paper over
00:25:41.600 America's actual history
00:25:43.020 with your grievance-mongering nonsense.
00:25:46.720 Now, if the mere historical fact
00:25:49.160 of slavery automatically means
00:25:50.960 that the country was built by slavery
00:25:52.840 and forever is indebted
00:25:54.880 to slaves and their descendants,
00:25:56.020 then, of course, the same must be said
00:25:57.980 about every nation on the planet.
00:25:59.460 There is no race, no people,
00:26:01.960 no nation anywhere in the world
00:26:04.240 who does not inherit
00:26:05.900 the guilt of slavery,
00:26:08.400 if indeed the guilt of slavery
00:26:10.240 can be inherited.
00:26:12.380 As I will never tire of pointing out,
00:26:14.360 the only thing that makes
00:26:15.460 America's relationship
00:26:16.740 to slavery unique
00:26:18.060 is how comparatively quickly
00:26:20.580 we abolished it
00:26:21.680 and the lengths we went
00:26:24.320 to abolish it.
00:26:26.020 of which we do
00:26:30.360 first人 in a country
00:26:30.940 has been
00:26:32.360 marshalled
00:26:34.660 Al odds

00:26:43.540 of which we have
00:26:44.300 thelıs
00:26:45.200 of which we make
