The Matt Walsh Show - Ep. 1082 - Yes, I Am Guilty Of ‘Hate Speech’

00:00:00.000 Today on the Matt Wall Show, Democrats in the House hold a hearing on alleged anti-LGBT

00:00:04.740 violence, blaming this made-up epidemic on hate speech. But what is hate speech and what's so

00:00:09.100 bad about it? Nothing, as it turns out. Also, the Senate moves to ban TikTok on government devices,

00:00:14.520 but really it should be banned on all devices nationwide. So when are we going to do that?

00:00:18.440 A new film starring AOC earns a staggering $10,000 in its first week of release across the

00:00:24.760 entire country. Plus, Nancy Pelosi is caught on film degrading and dehumanizing white males. 1.00

00:00:30.000 But what else is new? All of that and more today on the Matt Wall Show.

00:01:33.060 Even after the White House was lit up like the gay pride rainbow and drag queens were invited for a 1.00

00:01:39.920 celebration of a bill codifying gay marriage and effectively abolishing religious liberty

00:01:45.000 nationwide, still Democrats in Washington decided that they had not done enough LGBT-related

00:01:51.120 virtue signaling this week. They'd done quite a lot of it, but not enough. You can never do enough in

00:01:57.340 their minds anyway. And so yesterday, a House of Representatives oversight committee held a hearing

00:02:02.340 on the subject of, quote, anti-LGBTQI plus violence and extremism. Now, much of this hearing

00:02:10.040 revolved around the Colorado Gay Club shooting, an attack that the media and the left are still

00:02:15.380 blaming on alleged anti-gay rhetoric, even though no actual motive has been identified or announced.

00:02:23.460 In fact, it's been several weeks now since this happened, and we've still been told almost nothing

00:02:28.300 about the guy who did it, who is still alive and in police custody and has been talking to police,

00:02:33.780 but we haven't heard anything about what he said, which is quite suspicious. But all of that, of

00:02:39.300 course, is unimportant to the propagandists. There were several notable moments to come out of the

00:02:44.720 hearing, and not all of it had to do with supposed anti-LGBTQ violence and extremism. For instance,

00:02:50.340 one witness, a woman named Jessie Pocock, with an activist group called Inside Out,

00:02:55.220 took the opportunity to effectively deny the existence of detransitioners. They don't exist, 1.00

00:03:01.360 she said. Listen. A lot of people in the news coming out detransitioning.

00:03:07.520 Could you speak to that phenomenon? And what's that person going through? Did they get it wrong?

00:03:18.340 Were they going through a period? Is it just a fluid thing? I mean, could you speak to that?

00:03:22.100 Well, you know, I can't really speak to an individual's personal experience. I mean,

00:03:27.980 you know, somebody's gender is just a really personal experience, but I can speak to you.

00:03:32.900 I've been in this work for a long time. I know a lot of trans folks, close friends, family members,

00:03:40.620 and I've just never heard a case of anyone detransitioning. So I honestly don't think it's a real...

00:03:47.300 There's a number of cases in the news right now where this is happening. And the concern for

00:03:53.960 parents have is, you know, we've all had awkward teen years where we've questioned things in

00:04:00.920 existence and a lot of things. And the question is, is kids who are maybe making a permanent

00:04:05.280 decision even without the input of their parents... Now, the congressman unfortunately speaks over

00:04:11.580 her at the end rather than allowing her to continue to bury herself with her own insanity. But she does

00:04:17.240 say, to quote her, I've never heard of a case of anyone detransitioning, so I honestly don't think

00:04:22.480 it's a real thing. Now, there are only two ways to interpret that claim. The first and most likely

00:04:28.400 interpretation is that she's simply lying and knowingly denying the existence of detransitioners 0.95

00:04:33.420 so that she can continue to trans the kids without impediment. The other possibility,

00:04:38.380 which really isn't any better, is that this woman lives in such an enclosed, sealed-off, 0.73

00:04:43.800 hermetically sealed bubble that she actually has managed to avoid ever hearing about any case of

00:04:50.460 any person regretting the fact that they mutilated themselves. Either way, whether she's a godforsaken

00:04:55.840 liar or oblivious in the extreme or some combination, she is not a credible voice on this subject. And yet, 0.96

00:05:02.040 she's been brought on as an expert witness at a congressional hearing. Somehow, though,

00:05:08.200 that wasn't the most disturbing thing that she said during that exchange. She was also asked about

00:05:13.100 the age of consent for gender transitions. And this is how she answered.

00:05:18.940 You know, we have to do everything we can to make sure that young person is safe and protected.

00:05:23.500 We have, we are constantly filing reports of abuse and neglect because of parents not seeing young

00:05:32.040 people who they are. It sounds like you're deflecting the question a little bit. I understand cases of

00:05:36.880 abuse. There's laws to protect the abuse. I mean, schools actually are legally obligated to report

00:05:42.060 cases of abuse, same for churches and the like, anyone who deals with young people. But, you know,

00:05:47.680 do parents have a right? Should they be informed about what's going on? Do they have a right to

00:05:54.260 know what's going on in their kids' lives? So, I think, again, those of us who are protecting and

00:06:01.540 supporting young people are there and trusted with the information of the things that they are

00:06:06.380 dealing with. In terms of parents' rights to know at schools, I mean, here in Colorado, parents don't

00:06:12.040 have the right. If a young person is questioning their gender or their sexuality, there are laws

00:06:18.800 in place that say that they have the right to process that with their trusted counselor and so

00:06:23.900 forth. You do a significant amount of your work with kids even starting at age 13.

00:06:29.760 What would be the age of consent then in your mind? In our community, the age of consent to mental

00:06:37.580 health therapy is 12 years old. So, we have laws that enable young people to connect with trusted

00:06:43.520 adults who can support them. That is just so important. It prevents suicide. And so, we serve

00:06:48.960 young people at 13 because we know they come to us and we can prevent negative health outcomes for

00:06:55.840 them. This is just so frustrating to watch and not even only because of the crazy nonsense she's 0.75

00:07:02.640 spewing there, but because her questioner bails her out time and time again, bails her out by cutting 0.67

00:07:08.020 her off. At the beginning of that clip, she says that she has filed numerous reports of abuse and 0.97

00:07:13.580 neglect against parents who don't accept their child's trans identity. I'd like to hear more about

00:07:19.660 that. What does that mean? So, if a, what, an eight-year-old boy says, Daddy, I'm a girl,

00:07:27.620 and is not immediately affirmed as such, you're going to file an abuse and neglect claim with CPS

00:07:33.360 over that? That doesn't surprise me. I know that they're doing that kind of thing. Let's talk about

00:07:37.620 that. Instead, he just moves on from that. And in fact, even agrees with it, says, well, we know that

00:07:43.060 abuse and neglect, of course, is bad. Though what she says later is just as shocking. Parents, she says,

00:07:49.780 don't have the right to know about their child's gender transition and that the transition can begin at 0.85

00:07:54.880 12, which is, according to her, the age of consent. Now, she says it's the age of consent for

00:07:59.040 mental health therapy. But what she's really talking about when she says mental health therapy

00:08:03.860 is the, you know, the indoctrination of a child into their trans identity. They are able to consent 0.69

00:08:14.080 to begin that process at the age of 12. But this is a direction that the Democrats didn't want the

00:08:20.280 hearing to go. What they wanted to focus on instead is all the dangerous rhetoric and hate

00:08:25.380 speech, which is giving rise to this purported epidemic of anti-LGBT violence. And to that end,

00:08:31.260 a trans activist named Olivia Hunt tried to explain how words like groomer are contributing to this

00:08:37.820 supposed problem. People who are already receptive to that message take it to heart and it reinforces

00:08:44.660 their prejudices. In their minds, trans people either become victims to be saved from ourselves or

00:08:49.640 villains to be punished. One example of this inaction is the misuse of the term groomer.

00:08:55.080 Anti-LGBTQ activists have appropriated this terminology used by survivors of childhood sexual

00:08:59.820 abuse and used it to slander LGBTQ people and our allies as predatory, harmful toward children.

00:09:05.960 In reality, trans people are significantly more likely to be the victims of sexual abuse than

00:09:10.300 perpetrators of it. And now this misused terminology has become part of the political discourse around

00:09:15.600 trans people and is invoked as a reason to further restrict our rights in the name of

00:09:19.560 protecting children. This same rhetoric has subsequently been used as justification for

00:09:24.560 violent anti-LGBTQ activism. Heavily armed protesters have made numerous attacks or attempts at intimidation

00:09:30.740 against family-friendly pride events and drag performances around the country. Even hospitals

00:09:35.480 have been targeted with bomb threats and intimidation tactics, based on social media figures spreading

00:09:39.920 baseless stories that the providers are, in their words, mutilating children. There's a straight line that can be

00:09:46.060 drawn from the legislation trying to strip trans people of our human rights, to the increasingly hostile and

00:09:51.060 inflammatory rhetoric portraying us as a threat to society, to the acts of violence that have taken far too many lives.

00:09:56.700 Okay, so a few quick points here. First of all, it's true that many trans people have a history of being

00:10:02.680 sexually abused. That's true. Now, if the psychiatric industry in this country had any moral courage or

00:10:10.320 intellectual curiosity, they might be investigating why exactly people who have experienced sexual trauma

00:10:17.840 are more likely to try and disassociate themselves from their own gender and claim a new identity.

00:10:25.160 Might there be some sort of connection there that's worth exploring?

00:10:29.860 Well, we don't explore it. It's just something we're not even supposed to talk about.

00:10:33.620 Second, it's not in our words that hospitals are mutilating children. They are, in fact, chopping the

00:10:39.340 breasts off of minors. They are, in fact, prescribing drugs that chemically castrate and sterilize kids. 1.00

00:10:43.400 The word mutilate means, according to the dictionary, until they change it, to inflict

00:10:48.880 serious damage on. That's what it means. All of these things constitute damage, and the damage is

00:10:55.420 both physical and serious. So when we use the term mutilate, we are using it because it is the most

00:10:59.080 accurate way to describe what is going on. And third, we hear again how rhetoric causes violence.

00:11:04.320 And this was, of course, the main theme throughout the hearing. And as one witness put it,

00:11:08.500 hate starts with speech.

00:11:12.920 Hate rhetoric from politicians, religious leaders, and media outlets is at the root of the attacks,

00:11:19.360 like at Club Cute, and it needs to stop now. Rhetoric that makes people less than for being

00:11:24.900 different. Rhetoric that threatens to silence what sports we can play, what bathrooms we can use,

00:11:30.700 how we define our family, and who I can marry. Every American, every American, especially those

00:11:39.660 elected to positions of power, has a responsibility and a choice to use their words consciously.

00:11:46.160 Hate starts with speech.

00:11:48.520 Hate starts with speech. Now, this was also the thesis of a Scientific American report published this

00:11:52.940 week titled, How Anti-LGBTQ Plus Rhetoric Fuels Violence.

00:11:57.240 And it warns that hate speech from the far right is increasing the risk of violence against

00:12:01.280 LGBTQ plus people, such as the Club Q shooting. Now, the report then, of course, as always, 0.99

00:12:07.480 specifically singles out myself, lives of TikTok, Tucker Carlson, the three foremost peddlers of

00:12:14.100 hate speech in the country, we're told. And it asserts that we have sparked an increasing

00:12:18.080 epidemic of anti-LGBT violence. Now, I say asserts because there is nothing like proof or evidence

00:12:24.040 provided, whether in the Scientific American report or in this hearing or any other time

00:12:27.700 they talk about this. There's certainly no evidence that we have inspired violence, much

00:12:31.860 less called for it. But there's also no evidence that the epidemic of anti-LGBT violence is even

00:12:36.760 occurring in the first place. Outside of the Club Q shooting, an event that, once again, we still do not

00:12:42.300 have a confirmed motive for, they don't give very many specific examples of actual acts of violence

00:12:48.700 violence carried out against gay or trans people. A picture is painted of a country where LGBT people 1.00

00:12:54.260 are being constantly assaulted and killed by right-wing bigots. And yet, the picture is quite 0.62

00:12:58.440 fuzzy. And there's not a lot of detail to it. That's because it is largely imaginary. They have

00:13:04.500 invented this crisis. They've invented it, which means that they can invent the cause too. And the cause is

00:13:11.900 me, libs of TikTok, Tucker, you, all of us who express views on gender and sexuality that they

00:13:18.740 disagree with, we are guilty because we are peddling hate speech. And that brings me to the crux of the

00:13:25.600 matter here. What is hate speech exactly? Well, hate speech is any speech that the left hates. And it

00:13:32.400 really is that simple. If you don't believe me, then go up to any leftist and really test me on this.

00:13:39.620 Go up to any leftist. Ask them if there is any criticism of gender ideology or the LGBT agenda

00:13:47.120 that they would not consider hate speech. Is there any way to, for example, object to the

00:13:54.760 transitioning of minors without engaging in hate speech? Is there, no, I know I get blamed for being

00:14:01.260 very abrasive and direct and blunt and inflammatory in the way that I phrase things. Fine, whatever.

00:14:08.100 Is there any way that I could phrase it that would be acceptable or at least not hate speech?

00:14:14.260 Is there any way to advocate for biblical marriage without engaging in hate speech? Is there any way

00:14:18.340 to defend the biological nature of womanhood without being guilty of hate speech? Have they ever in their

00:14:23.860 lives heard anyone ever express any of these views in a way that they did not consider hate speech?

00:14:30.940 The answer on all counts will be no. And I dare any of them to prove me wrong. I dare any of them to

00:14:38.380 provide an example of a fundamental criticism of their view on gender and sexuality that they do not

00:14:45.020 classify as hate speech. They can't. And that's because hate speech simply is, by definition,

00:14:52.580 the rejection of left-wing ideas. That's what hate speech is. And to be clear, when I say that,

00:14:58.100 okay, it's not that the left has misused or abused the term hate speech to support their causes.

00:15:04.060 That's not it. They invented the term. This is their term. It exists for no other reason

00:15:09.520 than to silence conservatives. That's the whole point of the concept.

00:15:14.940 There is no neutral or non-ideological or non-political way to understand the concept of

00:15:21.500 hate speech. The concept is nonsense when considered objectively. If you try to remove ideology and

00:15:26.740 politics from it and just think about it on its own terms, I mean, hate speech? What the hell is that?

00:15:32.780 So speech that expresses hate is hate speech? But how could you just lump all that into a category and

00:15:39.860 say, well, all that's bad. Aren't there things that are worthy of hate? Don't we all agree that there

00:15:44.440 are some things in life that we all should hate? If I use my speech to communicate my hatred of

00:15:50.960 slavery or rape, is that then hate speech? Well, in a literal sense, yes, I'm using speech. I'm saying

00:15:58.640 that I hate something. It's hate speech. But that's not what they mean. Because hate speech is, again,

00:16:05.740 speech they hate. I think we might better call it hated speech. So when you hear hate speech,

00:16:11.520 you think hated speech. And that's why I don't bother defending myself against the hate speech

00:16:19.500 charge. There are some on the right who do and who waste a lot of breath by saying, I don't engage

00:16:26.000 in hate speech. You engage in hate speech. You're the hate speecher, not me. I embrace it. So when they

00:16:33.840 say, oh, this hate speech, Matt, sure, okay. Yes, I say things the left hates. And yes, I myself express

00:16:40.800 hatred. I hate the abuse of children. I hate the assault on truth and science. I hate the left's

00:16:46.740 attack on common sense and reality and decency. I hate the trans agenda. I hate it with a passion. 1.00

00:16:57.680 Hate all of that. And I use speech to express that hatred. And it is speech that the left hates. So

00:17:05.540 the speech is hateful and hated. Hatred all around. Hate speech. Sure, fine. Guilty as charged

00:17:15.920 and proud of it. Let's get to five headlines.

00:18:17.100 bill that would ban the use of TikTok on government devices amid growing national security concerns over

00:18:22.680 the Chinese-owned social media platform. The No TikTok on Government Devices Act, introduced by Senator

00:18:28.120 Josh Hawley, was passed late on Wednesday. It says, TikTok is a Trojan horse for the Chinese Communist

00:18:33.660 Party. It's a major security risk to the United States. And until it's forced to sever ties with

00:18:37.240 China completely, it has no place on government devices, Hawley said in a statement. States across

00:18:41.000 the U.S. are banning TikTok on government devices. It's time for Joe Biden and Democrats to help do the

00:18:44.880 same. The bill will need to be passed in the House and signed by President Joe Biden to become law.

00:18:49.880 And this is only just one bill related to TikTok. A group of bipartisan lawmakers is also leading a

00:18:57.140 drive to completely ban the use of TikTok nationwide for everyone. Senator Marco Rubio introduced the

00:19:02.760 legislation in the Senate this month. Representatives Mike Gallagher and Raja Krishnamoorthy, let's say,

00:19:09.640 introduced companion legislation in the House. The bipartisan anti-social CCP Act is a strong step in

00:19:17.100 protecting our nation from the nefarious digital surveillance and influence operations of

00:19:22.340 the solitary regimes. And Marco Rubio, I know, was on Tucker Carlson last night talking about this

00:19:26.180 bill to ban TikTok nationwide. So a few things. First of all, the great thing, and of course it

00:19:33.680 should be to begin with, banned on government devices. Even if it wasn't a communist Chinese 0.99

00:19:42.020 surveillance operation, which it is, we should still ban it on government. It's a government device.

00:19:47.260 Why should you have any kind of social media? Ban all social media on government devices. Let's do

00:19:51.920 that. And the really great thing about banning TikTok on government devices is that it will prevent

00:19:57.280 Gen Z from getting jobs in government. They're not going to want to work in government if they can't 1.00

00:20:02.020 have TikTok at the ready. So I consider that a benefit. But of course, it should obviously go beyond

00:20:08.180 that. And it should be banned nationwide. There's just, there's no arguments. I have not heard one

00:20:15.620 salient argument as to why TikTok should not be banned nationwide across the entire country.

00:20:26.260 I haven't heard it. And yet it remains unbanned. Yet it's still out there and we're allowed to use it

00:20:32.400 when there's no good argument for it. It is, once again, just a fact that it's a surveillance

00:20:39.640 operation by the communist Chinese government. That's what it is. That's how it's used. They're

00:20:45.700 using it to spy on us, to get access to our data, to our information, get access to our phones. That's

00:20:52.660 how it's being used. And on top of that, as if we need more reason to get rid of it, on top of that,

00:21:00.340 it's just absolutely toxic for kids. It's destroying kids. And it's not the only social

00:21:09.200 media platform. And of course, if you get rid of one, it'll just be replaced by another. We

00:21:12.000 understand that. But that's not a good enough reason to keep it around. So you've got something

00:21:21.200 that's poisonous to kids. That's just like ruining entire generations of kids who are addicted to this

00:21:28.720 thing. And also it's being used by an adversarial government to spy on us. And yet we're still

00:21:37.860 sitting around talking about, hmm, should we? Is it really the right thing to ban it though?

00:21:46.280 All right, let's move to this. So if hate speech makes no sense, neither does the category of hate

00:21:50.940 crime. And also at the aforementioned hearing, there was another witness who, and much of what

00:21:59.580 he says here, unlike some of the other witnesses of this hearing who just were, everything they said

00:22:04.960 was totally insane. Much of what he says here, I agree with. And he calls for the death penalty for

00:22:10.300 hate crimes. Let's listen.

00:22:11.000 At the population level, most people who hate will never convert their hate into a crime, meaning that

00:22:17.660 education produces little prevention per hour or dollar expended. Rather, the members of this

00:22:23.200 committee want to more effectively combat hate crime. They should do so by supporting the criminal justice

00:22:27.540 system. Increased funding for police hiring to remediate the decline in police employment per capita

00:22:32.500 since the Great Recession. Better fund police investigations integral to clearing hate crime cases.

00:22:37.980 Support state and local prosecutors in forming specialized hate crime bureaus, including by

00:22:43.000 coordinating information sharing in the challenging area of hate crime prosecution.

00:22:47.960 Increased federal hate crime penalties and encourage the Department of Justice to pursue hate crime

00:22:52.140 charges in states where local laws are insufficient, such as in New York State, where the Buffalo grocery

00:22:56.580 shooter cannot be executed for his heinous defense, a situation in our lab which also obtains in

00:23:00.620 Colorado. Hate crime against LGBTQ people and otherwise is a serious issue, and we must take it

00:23:06.860 seriously. Doing that means treating hate criminals like the criminals they are and bringing the full

00:23:12.460 power of the justice system to bear on them. Now, I agree that these mass shooters should be executed. 0.98

00:23:18.440 Absolutely. Execute them. Execute them. Do it swiftly. Do it publicly, as far as I am concerned. 1.00

00:23:24.040 Bring back public executions. I've long advocated for that, for mass shootings and for many other crimes as

00:23:32.880 well. But the issue is with the category of hate crime. As we've talked about on the show recently,

00:23:38.300 is there any motivation for a mass shooting that would be less bad than any other motivation?

00:23:48.680 Okay, is there a less bad version of a mass shooting?

00:23:52.000 Now, I'm not sure that I believe, as some will say, that all such crimes are motivated by hatred,

00:23:58.780 because that's one criticism of the hate crime category, is that, well, if you're killing people,

00:24:03.920 then obviously you hate them, so how can we even distinguish? I don't think I agree with that. I think

00:24:08.840 that crimes can be motivated by other things, indifference to human life, envy, a kind of

00:24:15.960 psychopathic boredom. I mean, these people are motivated by all sorts of things. It's hard to know exactly what's

00:24:21.560 going on in the mind of a mass murderer. Whatever's going on in there, it's dark and twisted and

00:24:25.980 horrifying. But why does it matter? I mean, imagine you have two mass shootings, okay? Imagine two mass

00:24:33.300 shootings on the same day, in the same town, killing the same number of people, okay, hypothetically. And

00:24:38.840 in one case, the mass shooter is a racist. And we know that because he's got the manifesto and

00:24:44.900 everything, and he's targeting black people, and he's very open about, that's why he's doing it. 0.97

00:24:49.280 In the other case, the mass shooter is, let's say, a psychopathic nihilist, indifferent to human 0.99

00:24:55.380 life, killing people of all different races, and doing it just for entertainment, and to feel a sense 1.00

00:25:01.560 of power and control in his life. Same number of dead people. Same trauma for the survivors. Same 0.99

00:25:09.660 bloodshed. Is the former crime really worse than the latter? Really? It's worse? I mean, how can it be

00:25:18.440 worse? How can either be worse than the other? It's as bad as you can possibly get. Should one be

00:25:25.520 treated harsher? Like, are you going to walk in onto the scene of the second shooting and go, oh my

00:25:30.360 God, what happened here? Why did he do this? And someone says, well, he's a nihilist, a psychopath.

00:25:35.920 He's indifferent to human life. Oh, so this wasn't hate. Well, phew, thank God. I thought he had a bad 0.65

00:25:41.900 reason to murder 32 people. In fact, if anything, if anything, it goes the other way. If anything,

00:25:48.820 we should be slightly less worried about the hate crime perpetrator. Because hatred can be redeemed.

00:25:56.980 A hateful person can be, in theory, reformed. Now, mass murder should all still be executed, 0.93

00:26:02.400 in my opinion. But my point is simply that of the two types of violent scumbags, 1.00

00:26:06.940 the hate crime bigot and the nihilistic psychopath, if we have to parse this and split 0.99

00:26:14.140 hairs and everything, and who's worse than the other, the latter probably poses the greater danger

00:26:19.640 and is less likely to be reformed. I think you could make a better argument for that.

00:26:27.640 But though, again, to my mind, they should be treated the same. Because this whole argument is,

00:26:32.580 you know, maybe it's interesting on an academic level. But when you try to put it into action,

00:26:37.320 the criminal justice system, it's just absolutely ridiculous. Because no matter why they did it,

00:26:44.260 it doesn't matter. It's just as bad, no matter what the reason was.

00:26:50.600 All right. The Daily Mail has this report. A documentary by Nancy Pelosi's daughter,

00:26:54.880 Alexandra, reveals that the House Speaker was speaking to President Barack Obama

00:27:00.100 after Democrats endured the famous off-year shellacking, and this is back in 2010,

00:27:05.780 blaming white male voters getting in a mood over the sour economy. Her assessment came after a

00:27:11.260 wipeout that cost the party its majority after enactment of Obama's signature Affordable Care Act,

00:27:15.740 then often derided as Obamacare by its opponents. So this documentary is apparently called Pelosi in

00:27:20.460 the House. And if you want to watch it for some reason, it's on HBO. So you can go. If you want to

00:27:25.020 watch a documentary about Nancy Pelosi, you can go do that. But here's the scene in question.

00:27:30.900 We're worried about the economy since the presidential office is not a good night.

00:27:35.760 We find the rate has been above 9%. Our members have said they don't regret their health care

00:27:40.620 bill got across the board. Even if we never passed health care reform, we were still going to lose

00:27:45.500 this election because of 9.5% unemployment. Because it wasn't about that. It was about jobs.

00:27:51.680 The white male thing is just, that's a dominant thing. And when they don't have a job,

00:27:56.620 they get in a mood. So we'll not have to make some decisions in our office about how we go forward.

00:28:05.320 The white male thing. She says the white male thing. When they don't have a job, they get in a mood.

00:28:13.260 Now, needless to say, this is a career killer, even for someone like Nancy Pelosi, if you put any other

00:28:18.800 group in that sentence. Imagine her saying, you know, the black male thing. They get in a mood sometimes. 0.95

00:28:26.620 She says that and it's done. It's over. This is someone who's been in the House of Representatives

00:28:33.560 for 350 years. Before it even existed, she was in it. And that would be enough to kill her career.

00:28:41.340 But you could say that about white males. And the thing is, they put this in a documentary. It's not

00:28:47.420 like this was some behind the scenes footage that she did. This is her daughter put this out there.

00:28:52.520 This wasn't some kind of expose. They have no problem with this. She would say this publicly.

00:28:56.620 The Democrats would say, she would say almost exactly that in front of a microphone at a press

00:29:01.660 conference. She has no problem with that. Because there's no penalty. There is no downside really

00:29:11.260 politically to heaping scorn and contempt on white males. The white male thing. 0.98

00:29:17.140 She's calling us things, just to be clear.

00:29:22.680 So why not? They're very open about it. And one of the reasons why they can be so open about it,

00:29:28.900 and why there is no penalty, is that Republicans don't have the guts or the brains to counter this.

00:29:37.540 You know, she can go out and say whatever she wants about white males, 1.00

00:29:42.540 because even her political opponents won't say anything about it. They're not going to stand up

00:29:47.520 there and say, she has hatred of white males. She is anti-white male. Okay, she's a racist and a 1.00

00:29:55.440 sexist. They're not going to get up and say that. They're not going to accuse her specifically by name 1.00

00:30:01.200 of anti-white male bigotry. They won't say it. Even though that's exactly what we just heard,

00:30:08.220 and Democrats could not be more clear about it, in villainizing and demonizing white males.

00:30:15.260 They're very open. But Republicans, of course, the media is not going to call her on it. So if the

00:30:21.520 media is not going to call her on it, and her political opponents won't call her on it, then 1.00

00:30:24.540 that's it. She's fine. And Republicans won't do that. They will not by name, they will not name

00:30:31.920 anti-white racism, and they will not name anti- especially anti-white male bigotry. They won't do

00:30:41.900 it. To their own detriment. Because, you know, they're afraid that if they do, they're afraid if

00:30:49.500 they get up there and they say, and they say, what we just heard is dehumanizing and bigoted

00:30:55.880 against white males. You know, white males, they are a group of Americans in this country. They

00:31:02.140 deserve to be defended. They don't deserve to be treated this way. The Republicans are afraid that

00:31:07.780 if they say that, that it's going to upset all the other groups that they're trying to win.

00:31:13.080 They're worried that it's going to alienate the black vote if they speak up for white males.

00:31:17.400 Which, by the way, like, even if it did from a political perspective, you know, as a Republican,

00:31:26.020 it's like, you're only going to win, you're only going to win a very small portion of the black vote

00:31:29.220 anyway. So even if it's true that it made your numbers go from 3% to 2%, politically, who cares?

00:31:37.500 Because the white male vote politically is more important to you because they're voting for you

00:31:41.740 in greater numbers. But more to the point, it's not true that it's going to alienate other groups.

00:31:49.680 Now, far-left activists, of course, if you speak up for white males, they're going to accuse you of,

00:31:53.840 well, you're saying that you, you're saying you don't hate white males? Well, that must mean that 0.90

00:31:57.820 you do hate black people. Yeah, far-left activists are going to play that game, but they're not going 0.99

00:32:02.920 to vote for you anyway. Who gives a damn what they say? Normal people aren't going to interpret it

00:32:08.220 that way. A normal black person, a normal woman, a normal person in any racial minority, they hear

00:32:15.520 you speaking up in defense of white males, especially when they're being degraded and dehumanized in that

00:32:21.160 way. Normal people in those groups, they're not going to, they're not offended by that. Of course

00:32:25.740 they're not. So you're not offending normal people, but you could actually be motivating white males,

00:32:35.140 which is an important voting block. It's a voting block that you need. If you don't have them, you

00:32:40.160 don't win. And that is also a voting block that has been demoralized and disenfranchised.

00:32:49.380 You know, this is one of the things that after 2020, we never talked about, you know,

00:32:56.340 because we talked about a lot of things with the election. We never actually talked about the fact

00:33:01.080 that, you know, Trump lost white males. He didn't lose them. He lost the, that white males were less

00:33:08.400 invested in that election than they had been in 2016. The numbers went down. We never had that

00:33:14.980 conversation. Um, which maybe we should. So maybe, maybe that's a group of people like

00:33:23.240 politicians specifically speak up in defense of every other group by name. They'll speak up for

00:33:30.360 black Americans. They'll speak up for women. They'll speak up for Asians. They'll speak up for every

00:33:34.600 group, but they will not speak up for white males by name. And it turns out that does have an effect

00:33:42.860 because when you've got a group of voters who feel like you don't give a crap about them,

00:33:47.660 that you won't even sit, you won't even acknowledge them by name. They're less motivated to vote for

00:33:53.900 you. It doesn't mean they're going to vote in Democrat. It just means that they're going to

00:33:58.020 stay home. They're not motivated. They don't feel represented. All right. What else do we got here?

00:34:08.460 Speak. Okay. Well, speaking of documentaries, since we're on the subject, maybe we should

00:34:11.660 mention this too. For this from the Daily Wire, the climate may be getting hot, but AOC's new movie

00:34:16.760 is most definitely not. Well done. Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has a new documentary out

00:34:22.040 to the end. Um, and if movie theaters are paying attention to ticket sales, they realize it's already

00:34:27.400 run to the end. The flick opened on December 9th at 120 theaters. But since then it's made $9,667.

00:34:36.700 Okay. You know, it's about a week on over a hundred screens, it's made less than $10,000.

00:34:43.660 That is 80 bucks a screen. And let's say the tickets are 1625 as they are at Regal theaters.

00:34:49.340 That would equate to fewer than 600 people who actually saw it. So that's about, uh, do the math

00:34:55.500 on that. So that's like, um, just about five people, five or six people, a theater went to go see this

00:35:01.720 movie. Perhaps viewers just didn't want to sit through this. This is a, the movie synopsis says

00:35:07.240 stopping the climate crisis is a question of political courage and the clock is ticking

00:35:10.760 over three years of turbulence and crisis for young women fight for a green new deal and ignite

00:35:16.340 a historic shift in U S climate politics. Now the film drew 83% approval from a Rotten Tomatoes,

00:35:23.460 of course, but nobody actually wants to see this thing. And I know that you're really hoping that

00:35:29.080 you'll get a chance to watch the trailer of this because you're hearing the description.

00:35:32.080 You're thinking, I need to see some clips of this thing and don't worry. I got you covered. Uh,

00:35:36.640 here's the trailer.

00:35:39.940 Fighting for change politically requires faith.

00:35:45.060 We are building an army of young people to stop the climate crisis and create millions of good jobs

00:35:50.020 for our generation.

00:35:53.700 Everyone wants to talk about this dispassionately, but this is a world that I will raise my kids in.

00:35:59.080 The more centrist wing is arguing that they want to maintain the status quo.

00:36:04.300 Ain't nobody going to keep us down.

00:36:07.080 This is going to be the moonshot of our generation.

00:36:10.940 Moments of crisis crack open the window of possibility.

00:36:15.700 We just climbed that mountain.

00:36:18.520 Sometimes I feel like my job is to get my hands dirty.

00:36:22.000 You're not going to trick us.

00:36:23.640 Hell no.

00:36:24.300 Now is the time to leverage our power.

00:36:32.320 We have tens of thousands of new people joining.

00:36:36.980 We're in the battle for the soul of the democratic party.

00:36:40.180 Make them feel like they're going to lose their seats if they don't support this.

00:36:44.380 Let's stop.

00:36:44.940 Let's stop watching it.

00:36:46.000 So you've seen enough of it.

00:36:47.020 A few things.

00:36:49.160 First, interesting things going on here.

00:36:53.080 I mean, nothing interesting in the film itself.

00:36:54.780 But first, the Democrat party just doesn't have any stars at all.

00:37:00.220 They don't have any interesting people in the Democrat party.

00:37:04.760 AOC is the closest.

00:37:08.600 And yet, you know, she's probably the biggest star in the Democrat party. 0.96

00:37:14.600 She's not the one that has the most influence in Washington, for sure. 0.66

00:37:19.020 But she's the biggest star.

00:37:21.820 Most well-known, most famous, popular, I guess.

00:37:25.780 And yet still, she's the best they can do as far as that goes.

00:37:29.320 And yet, nobody cares because she's actually not interesting at all.

00:37:34.520 She's not an interesting person.

00:37:37.460 Part of the problem is that in order to be interesting, you have to have some rough edges.

00:37:41.940 You know, you need to have some aspects of yourself that aren't politically correct.

00:37:47.300 That's what makes someone interesting.

00:37:51.500 But when you perfectly fit yourself into this politically correct box,

00:37:56.480 it may prevent you from getting backlash.

00:37:58.740 It may make you above criticism in the mainstream, fine.

00:38:02.520 But she's like, it's not interesting.

00:38:06.400 And also, the left, once again, as we see, they find it difficult to make films

00:38:11.300 that preach their message in an appealing and entertaining way.

00:38:16.220 They didn't always have this difficulty because the left has been,

00:38:18.840 the Hollywood has been left-leaning for decades.

00:38:21.640 And they've been putting out films that, you know, propagandize in their direction.

00:38:30.640 And they've been doing that for decades.

00:38:32.020 But they used to be able to do it in a way that people found interesting and found entertaining

00:38:37.160 and wanted to go watch the movies.

00:38:38.660 And they're not as able to do that anymore.

00:38:43.440 Part of that is, like we always talk about, it's the kind of Christian film phenomenon

00:38:47.040 where they do the same thing in the reverse of what Christian films do.

00:38:50.660 They put the message before anything.

00:38:54.220 So they go message first.

00:38:55.800 They worry about getting the message across before they worry about actually putting out

00:38:59.700 an entertaining piece of content.

00:39:00.800 That's part of it.

00:39:02.580 I think also, you know, they don't think that the masses are worthy of being appealed to

00:39:10.760 in the first place, I think.

00:39:14.260 They think almost like they would be beneath them to try to appeal to the masses.

00:39:22.240 Because they have contempt for that.

00:39:23.800 They have too much contempt for the masses at this point to actually try to connect with them.

00:39:28.720 I think that's part of the issue.

00:39:29.600 All right, finally, this is from The Mirror.

00:39:32.960 It says, science fiction is about to match up with reality as the world's first artificial

00:39:36.500 womb facility has been announced, where you'll be able to choose your baby's characteristics

00:39:40.980 from a menu.

00:39:42.380 Ecto Life, the brainchild of Berlin-based Hashem El-Ghali, a biotechnologist and science communicator,

00:39:51.720 is a concept based on over 50 years of groundbreaking scientific research.

00:39:55.220 In theory, they'll be able to grow 30,000 babies a year in their lab.

00:39:59.600 And he believes the facilities would allow infertile couples to conceive a baby and become the true 1.00

00:40:04.160 biological parents of their own offspring.

00:40:06.600 But they also plan to offer an elite package that would allow you to genetically engineer

00:40:10.440 the embryo before implanting it into the artificial womb, with everything from eye and hair color

00:40:15.360 to strength, height, and intelligence as choices.

00:40:19.180 Hashem explains, introducing Ecto Life, the world's first artificial womb facility, which is powered

00:40:23.520 entirely by renewable energy.

00:40:24.740 According to the World Health Organization, around 300,000 women die from pregnancy complications.

00:40:28.600 Ecto Life, artificial womb, is designed to alleviate human suffering and reduce the chances 0.99

00:40:32.980 of C-sections.

00:40:34.980 With Ecto Life, premature birth and C-sections will be a thing of the past.

00:40:39.620 And so they want to farm all this out, rather than doing it the old-fashioned way of having

00:40:43.980 women gestating the children in their womb. 0.99

00:40:48.120 We don't need to do that anymore because they'll have artificial wombs. 1.00

00:40:51.040 So you make the baby, you know, it's like baking a cake or something.

00:40:56.060 You mix all the ingredients together, pop it in the oven, and you can go live your life

00:40:59.920 while they grow the baby in the artificial womb. 0.87

00:41:03.380 You know, I'm skeptical about whether this technology will ever actually be functional,

00:41:10.340 or if it will just continue to exist in theory.

00:41:15.060 They've been talking about doing things like this for decades, and maybe they're closer now

00:41:18.720 than they've ever been, but I'm skeptical of that.

00:41:21.560 Either way, I will never fail to appreciate the irony that we are, as a culture, obsessed with

00:41:28.140 organic, all-natural, you know.

00:41:32.700 We're obsessed with that when it comes to items you find at the grocery store.

00:41:36.800 We're obsessed with finding things that are not genetically engineered, unless we're talking

00:41:43.420 about human beings themselves, right?

00:41:46.400 As our food gets more organic, our manner of human reproduction, on the other hand, becomes

00:41:51.880 less organic.

00:41:53.120 So we can see the value of doing things organically when it comes to food, when it comes to cosmetics,

00:42:00.260 whatever.

00:42:01.340 But somehow, the very same people who see the value there, they can't see it when it comes

00:42:05.080 to themselves, and reproduction.

00:42:07.500 I mean, eventually, our salads will be more organic than the people eating them.

00:42:13.500 That's where we're headed.

00:42:16.300 And I think many people on the left in particular can't see a problem with this, because they

00:42:23.840 don't have any concept of human dignity to begin with.

00:42:29.320 They just have no concept of that.

00:42:30.780 And so, for those of us who have a concept of human dignity, even if we struggle to articulate

00:42:36.540 what human dignity is or why it's important, because it's something that, you know, for

00:42:43.940 most of human history, it was not something that was fundamentally challenged.

00:42:51.140 But now it is.

00:42:52.240 Like, well, you have people that are just flat out denying that human dignity exists in the

00:42:57.680 first place.

00:43:00.120 And so, but those of us who innately recognize it, it can be hard for us to understand.

00:43:08.160 And we see something like this, and we just, because we innately recognize the value of

00:43:11.940 human dignity, we see something like this, and we immediately see it as horrifying.

00:43:15.720 Like, of course.

00:43:16.160 You know, grow babies in an artificial womb and pick out what kind of people they're going 0.98

00:43:22.660 to be from a menu, and just, like, constructing them like Frankensteins.

00:43:25.160 It's horrifying.

00:43:27.640 We instinctively recognize that.

00:43:31.300 But people on the left, they don't, because they don't see human dignity as a thing.

00:43:36.480 And, you know, human dignity is rooted in the fact that we are made in the image and likeness

00:43:41.220 of God.

00:43:42.500 That's what it's rooted in.

00:43:43.620 But if you believe, as people on the left do, that there is no God, and that we are

00:43:51.340 gods ourselves, man, it makes kind of sense.

00:43:56.420 You know, we are gods.

00:43:58.020 There is no God, except the individual.

00:44:01.060 And so, I can make a person in my image, because I am the God.

00:44:07.900 I think that's what's happening here.

00:44:09.040 So, let's get to the comment section.

00:44:11.300 If you're a man, it's required that you grow a bit, hey, we're the sweet baby gang.

00:45:07.660 That's Pajamagram.com for Naturally Nude Pajamas.

00:45:10.820 Don't forget to tell them Matt sent you.

00:45:13.900 Laura says,

00:45:14.860 I'm alarmed that the Christian group was denied service, but at least they didn't give their good, hard-earned money to those haters.

00:45:21.640 I live in Brooklyn, and one time several years back, I overheard two 20-somethings saying that they didn't and wouldn't patronize a certain very popular diner because they found out that the owner donated to pro-life organizations.

00:45:34.660 This is something that's happening more and more.

00:45:35.900 In fact, I didn't even know about this.

00:45:38.620 It was revealed on Backstage last night, our Christmas Backstage episode, if you watched it, that this happened.

00:45:45.700 Now, we had our Christmas party a couple days ago, and I didn't go because my wife's very pregnant, and she didn't want to go.

00:45:53.740 She wasn't feeling very well.

00:45:55.560 I could have still gone by myself, but parties are bad enough.

00:45:59.380 If I'm going to go to one, I need my wife there. 1.00

00:46:01.740 She's my pinch hitter. 1.00

00:46:03.400 She's the one who does all the talking.

00:46:05.120 So I couldn't go if she wasn't going, so I stayed home.

00:46:07.600 And so I found out about this after the fact, but apparently there was a nearby restaurant where some members of the Daily Wire were going to go, trying to reserve a table,

00:46:16.920 and were told by someone at the restaurant that essentially they're not welcome because they pose a, I think the phrase was, something like a danger to the staff.

00:46:28.520 You know, you're dangerous people.

00:46:31.720 So it seems to be happening with increasing regularity that people, whether because it's Christian or conservative, being denied service.

00:46:41.620 In this case, they'd already made the reservation, put down a deposit on it, told you're not welcome here.

00:46:48.860 So there are cases of that happening.

00:46:52.500 In fact, in our case, very close to home.

00:46:54.520 I'm not aware of any case anywhere in the country of something similar happening on the left side or to the left side of a Christian or conservative business owner saying to a group of people, you know, to gay people,

00:47:11.640 we're not going to serve you because you're gay, or even going up to left wing activists and saying, well, because of your ideological convictions, I can't in good conscience serve you. 0.98

00:47:19.480 I haven't heard of any case like that. 0.85

00:47:22.560 All right.

00:47:24.000 Gary Lancaster says, how can Media Matters watch Matt every day and not become fans?

00:47:30.720 I ask myself that same question.

00:47:34.840 Jenna says, what is your take on Knowles' tweet that he feels sorry for Sam Brinton?

00:47:40.200 Well, he's a nice guy.

00:47:42.340 I mean, he's based, don't get me wrong.

00:47:43.980 A dangerous right wing extremist, of course.

00:47:45.620 He's not even welcome in restaurants, but he's nice also, and I'm not as nice.

00:47:51.360 I have to say that I don't feel sorry for Brinton. 0.97

00:47:54.420 I understand the point, and I've heard this from other people, too, that he's a pathetic figure, and he is. 0.97

00:48:03.240 He's mentally deranged, and he lives in a culture that encourages and foments that derangement rather than helping him deal with it. 0.99

00:48:09.860 And so he is a pathetic, pitiful, strange freak of a person, and so it makes sense to pity him. 0.99

00:48:18.920 You know, it does, and I get that. 0.99

00:48:21.460 Perfectly justifiable way of looking at this.

00:48:24.680 But I don't, because I actually don't think that a guy like Brinton is crazy. 0.94

00:48:31.080 It's a reasonable theory that he's just mentally deranged and crazy.

00:48:37.160 I don't think that. 0.98

00:48:37.740 I think he's a deviant.

00:48:40.220 And deviance is, well, deviance is deviant, but it's not the same thing as being delusionally insane, right?

00:48:46.100 It's not the same thing as being psychotic.

00:48:48.880 It's not immoral to be insane.

00:48:50.900 You can't, it's not a moral judgment.

00:48:53.300 If somebody's actually insane, we're not going to pass a moral judgment on them for being insane.

00:48:58.240 It's not their fault.

00:48:59.700 It is immoral.

00:49:01.220 It is a moral choice to indulge your deviance the way that Sam Brinton has on the other hand.

00:49:07.580 So what I see rather is just a totally narcissistic guy who's chosen to act this way,

00:49:13.520 and he wants to act out his fetishes in public,

00:49:16.500 and he doesn't care how it makes anybody else feel, how uncomfortable it makes them.

00:49:20.540 He feels he's totally entitled to do whatever he wants.

00:49:22.440 That's what stealing the luggage is all about.

00:49:23.840 Just someone who's totally consumed by their own sense of entitlement.

00:49:29.300 And so I have a lot, a much harder time pitying someone in that case, I think.

00:49:37.500 And finally, Joe says, Matt, a month later, do you think it was a good idea for Trump to announce early?

00:49:45.320 Announce his candidacy early.

00:49:46.560 You know, we talked about this at the time when he announced his candidacy a month ago,

00:49:52.460 and I said it's definitely a risk because I understand the thought process.

00:49:57.820 The thought process is get out in front, try to crowd out the field before anyone else jumps in,

00:50:03.480 also change the subject from the midterm.

00:50:06.480 So that makes sense.

00:50:08.200 I understand the logic behind it.

00:50:10.080 But the risk is that you get in so early, and now you've announced, and now you're in your campaign mode

00:50:16.620 because you've announced your campaign, and now you've got to keep the momentum going for, like, two years.

00:50:22.660 That's a long time to have to try to draw that momentum out.

00:50:26.220 And you also don't have any other candidates in the field yet.

00:50:28.500 So there's no one to attack.

00:50:30.780 There's no one to be debating.

00:50:33.940 So you've got to totally on your own generate this excitement and momentum and keep it going.

00:50:41.280 The worst thing you could do is announce your candidacy and then just sort of disappear, and all the momentum dies.

00:50:49.340 And it seems like that's more of what has happened so far.

00:50:53.580 And it was kind of doomed to happen, though.

00:50:54.940 It's just not possible.

00:50:55.960 Even Trump, it's just like, how do you keep the momentum going that long?

00:50:59.180 So I think, in the end, it seems to me to have been a miscalculation, but in effect, what it means is that he's going to have to sort of relaunch his campaign at a later date.

00:51:12.820 He's already announced it, but then you're going to have to kind of, once we get closer to it, he gets to a point where he can actually maintain the momentum, then sort of relaunch it.

00:51:20.920 I think that's what he's going to have to do.

00:51:22.760 Have you been procrastinating your holiday shopping until the last minute?

00:51:25.780 Well, I'm here to tell you that the last minute is closer than you think.

00:52:41.260 Now let's get to our daily cancellation.

00:52:46.380 White guilt is a scourge in this country and a problem we often talk about on this show.

00:52:51.680 A video that recently went viral from TikTok seems to have captured this phenomenon,

00:52:55.860 perhaps better than anything else we've seen.

00:52:59.140 Here it is.

00:53:00.520 You know what? 0.62

00:53:01.520 While we're on the topic of how white people are just f***ing the world up for everyone, 0.99

00:53:05.940 you're not one of the good white people. 0.99

00:53:08.680 There are no good white people. 0.99

00:53:11.180 There are only anti-racist white people and racist white people. 0.93

00:53:14.280 Anti-racism is a lifelong project, and the end goal is not for you to be good.

00:53:19.700 It's for society to be good.

00:53:21.360 De-center yourself.

00:53:23.800 Do the work.

00:53:25.380 It's hard.

00:53:26.440 You're going to get it wrong.

00:53:27.680 But if you are not out there every day actively trying to understand, 0.79

00:53:32.280 you're not a good white person.

00:53:36.260 Stop patting yourself on the back. 0.97

00:53:38.100 Stop congratulating each other. 0.99

00:53:39.700 Stop separating us from the bad white people. 0.95

00:53:43.440 Don't sit out there in comments and say, we don't claim them.

00:53:47.080 We are them.

00:53:48.380 We are them.

00:53:50.360 We are the ones shooting up schools. 1.00

00:53:52.800 We are the ones raping people. 0.99

00:53:55.460 We are the ones enslaving people. 0.99

00:53:57.820 We are.

00:53:58.800 We're them.

00:53:59.280 Well, speak for yourself, lady.

00:54:04.060 I have, in fact, never done any of those things.

00:54:06.560 And of the people who have done them, they are not exclusively white, not even close.

00:54:10.980 In fact, when it comes to mass shootings and violent crime in particular,

00:54:13.640 white people are underrepresented as a group in that category.

00:54:15.980 As for slavery, forms of the practice do still exist in the world,

00:54:19.640 but they are happening in parts of the world with names like India and Africa and Southeast Asia.

00:54:24.500 These are not predominantly white areas of the globe, just to be clear.

00:54:28.220 But I'm not really interested in fact-checking this poor, unfortunate,

00:54:31.180 I'm assuming quite lonely, white guilt-plagued woman. 0.92

00:54:35.060 This actually is someone that I feel sorry for.

00:54:38.840 Needless to say, you know, she has no notion of what actually happens in the world,

00:54:43.000 much less what has happened in the world.

00:54:44.760 Her grasp on history being even more precarious than her understanding of current events.

00:54:48.260 This is a person, like so many others in our culture, who exists in a bubble.

00:54:52.420 And the atmosphere inside that bubble is comprised almost entirely of self-loathing and narcissism.

00:54:58.740 It is a volatile, often quite confusing mix.

00:55:01.820 And that's why I'd really like to use this lady as a case study 1.00

00:55:05.000 and conduct something of a psychological evaluation of the white guilt brigade.

00:55:10.480 Every member of the brigade is an individual brought to this sorry state

00:55:13.560 through their own relatively unique set of circumstances.

00:55:15.640 Yet, there are some obvious through lines here.

00:55:18.800 Some things they all seem to have in common.

00:55:21.460 And we can see many of those things manifested in this video.

00:55:23.980 So let's go through this point by point, three points in particular.

00:55:27.800 First, white guilt can either be performative or sincere.

00:55:31.760 And sometimes, perhaps usually, a mix of the two.

00:55:34.320 The fully performative variety is usually found among the white people 0.98

00:55:37.680 who have gotten into the race hustling business

00:55:39.840 and who are profiting immensely off of it.

00:55:43.280 They're the ones who are writing the books.

00:55:44.560 They're the ones who are giving DEI seminars and so on.

00:55:47.540 And for them, this is a scam.

00:55:48.900 You know, it's a kind of a Ponzi scheme.

00:55:52.480 It's a business opportunity.

00:55:54.320 They're like the televangelists in the private jets.

00:55:56.760 They found a way to profit off of a belief system

00:55:59.400 that they probably don't subscribe to themselves.

00:56:02.780 But the disciples really do believe it, to some extent at least.

00:56:06.500 This woman, I'm going to assume, is not making millions, 0.98

00:56:08.920 selling anti-racism books or hosting anti-racism seminars.

00:56:11.800 She's the person buying the books and attending the seminars.

00:56:16.300 She's spending money on the racket, not making it. 1.00

00:56:20.420 And that's because, as you can tell just from that one-minute clip,

00:56:23.120 she really does buy into this nonsense. 0.79

00:56:24.680 She actually does hate herself. 0.95

00:56:26.560 And that's the point.

00:56:27.580 The anti-racism snake oil salesmen are exploiting the self-loathing of people like this.

00:56:35.720 She was already lonely.

00:56:36.880 She already had a low self-image.

00:56:38.260 She already hated herself before she ever discovered anti-racism

00:56:41.060 or learned the vapid, meaningless mantras like, do the work.

00:56:45.800 Anti-racism simply gave her a way of understanding her own self-loathing.

00:56:49.180 It gave her something to channel it into and through.

00:56:52.740 So what she gets out of the deal is, if not financial profit,

00:56:55.780 at least, and if not emotional stability or happiness,

00:56:58.580 at least she gets a feeling of unearned moral superiority.

00:57:02.720 She hates herself.

00:57:04.480 That much is clear. 0.97

00:57:05.280 But she also gets to feel superior to other white people

00:57:07.940 who have not done the work as much as she has.

00:57:11.660 This is exactly the attitude that she's ranting against in the video, 0.90

00:57:14.700 but she is lecturing other white people for their feelings of superiority

00:57:17.480 while herself standing on a perch of moral superiority. 0.52

00:57:20.540 This is ultimately the promise of anti-racism.

00:57:23.980 This is the reward that it offers to white disciples. 0.98

00:57:27.180 It will not make you feel better about yourself.

00:57:29.200 It will not give you happiness, 1.00

00:57:30.320 but it will at least make you feel holier than those other white scumbags. 0.99

00:57:35.420 Second, it's interesting to note how white women in particular 1.00

00:57:41.760 seem to be so susceptible to this stuff.

00:57:44.840 Most of these sorts of videos, and I've seen too many of them,

00:57:48.660 are made by women. 0.78

00:57:49.560 And if you talk to anyone who's ever been to an anti-racism seminar,

00:57:53.640 they will tell you that it's usually a majority women. 0.99

00:57:57.340 And I think that's because most obviously women tend to be more emotional, 1.00

00:58:00.820 which is a good thing generally.

00:58:02.880 You know, a man might sometimes complain about the overly emotional women in his life,

00:58:06.360 but the truth is that he wouldn't want it any other way.

00:58:09.140 His wife or girlfriend's emotional outbursts might annoy him sometimes,

00:58:12.220 but he certainly would rather she be emotional than cold and distant.

00:58:15.980 This is the nature of the two sexes, right? 1.00

00:58:17.520 The things that frustrate us about each other the most

00:58:20.100 are the things that we love about each other the most.

00:58:23.900 But a woman's more emotional nature can make her easier to emotionally manipulate in this way. 1.00

00:58:29.460 And in particular, women are more naturally empathetic than men.

00:58:33.980 Now, this again is a positive trait.

00:58:36.040 It's something that men love about women. 1.00

00:58:39.100 Yet, that empathy, if not properly calibrated and pointed in the right direction,

00:58:44.340 can be exploited and weaponized and turned against itself.

00:58:48.460 White guilt is, in part, a sort of misplaced, mangled, perverse, deranged form of empathy.

00:58:55.320 It's not entirely unlike, you know, the psychology that leads some women to strike up love affairs

00:59:00.820 with murderers in prison.

00:59:03.120 Kind of a similar thing going on.

00:59:05.140 Third, final point.

00:59:08.160 Whether it's a man or a woman expressing their anti-racist white guilt,

00:59:12.840 what we're also seeing is the religious impulse at work.

00:59:16.740 This is maybe the most important point to understand.

00:59:18.500 There is no escaping the fact that man is religious by nature.

00:59:22.720 We naturally search for the transcendent truths that will give our lives meaning.

00:59:28.340 Not only that, but we naturally recognize our own sin, our own guilt.

00:59:33.240 And we look for ways of relieving ourselves of that burden.

00:59:37.320 We seek atonement.

00:59:38.540 We seek absolution.

00:59:40.820 We seek penance.

00:59:44.080 Anti-racism provides an outlet for those desires.

00:59:46.700 It's the wrong outlet.

00:59:48.080 It's wholly unsatisfying and insufficient.

00:59:50.400 But it's the sort of religion that non-religious secular liberals are stuck with.

00:59:54.860 This is all they got.

00:59:56.220 The religion has borrowed, you know, the concept of, it borrows a lot of the concepts

00:59:59.660 because it doesn't create anything of its own.

01:00:02.660 Leftism never does.

01:00:03.420 So it can only borrow from what already exists.

01:00:06.180 In this case, it borrows the concept of original sin from Christianity

01:00:10.940 and comes up with its own warped version.

01:00:13.980 Of course, in Christian theology, original sin is guilt shared by all people everywhere.

01:00:18.700 We are flawed.

01:00:19.760 We are a fallen race, you know.

01:00:21.840 And by race, we mean the human race.

01:00:24.280 But the leftist, anti-racist religion preaches about a flawed and fallen race,

01:00:29.420 meaning specifically the white race. 0.97

01:00:32.300 We, white people, are the carriers of original sin. 0.99

01:00:35.480 While the other races are angelic, guiltless, uncorrupted beings. 1.00

01:00:42.300 This is their mythology.

01:00:43.580 It's their creation story.

01:00:45.360 It's their religion.

01:00:47.200 Because we all need religion.

01:00:49.220 And we will end up with one, one way or another.

01:00:53.300 And so, in some ways, this person being liberal, lonely, sad, self-loathing, and also a woman,

01:00:57.580 she was destined to fall into the anti-racism religion, the anti-racism cult.

01:01:03.820 It was always going to end up this way these days.

01:01:06.920 And yet, she is still today, I must say, in spite of that, canceled.

01:01:11.600 And that'll do it for this portion of the show as we move over to the members' block.

01:01:15.320 Hope to see you there.

01:01:15.980 If not, talk to you tomorrow.

01:01:17.220 Godspeed.

01:01:17.540 Godspeed.

01:01:27.580 Godspeed.
