Today, the first Matt Walsh show of 2025. Passengers on the subway in New York are being
00:00:04.480
stabbed, assaulted, pushed in front of trains, now burned alive. New York's solution to that
00:00:08.260
problem is to impose taxes that force more of its citizens down into the tunnels where the
00:00:12.680
psychotic hobos are lurking. Also, Joe Biden awards the Medal of Freedom to Hillary Clinton,
00:00:17.360
George Soros, Darth Vader, other assorted supervillains. We'll talk about that. Biden
00:00:20.640
also commutes the death sentences of every inmate on federal death row except three.

Why are those three out of luck? And for what is perhaps the most important daily cancellation,

00:01:59.520
Well, it's great to be back after a long Christmas break. Much has happened in the world since we
00:02:04.960
last spoke. In fact, the last time we spoke, I couldn't speak. I was losing my voice, but my voice is back,
00:02:09.580
and so am I. And I'd like to begin with a story that's unfolding up in New York. Now, there's another
00:02:15.140
big story just breaking a bit farther north in Canada, where it was just announced right before we
00:02:19.380
started filming that Justin Trudeau is stepping down. Of course, there's a whole backstory there.
00:02:25.200
The basic reason behind his resignation is that, well, he's very bad at every aspect of his job.
00:02:31.440
We'll cover more of that tomorrow, but today I want to talk about something happening in this country,
00:02:35.220
because here's one thing we know. Government officials, whether they're elected politicians
00:02:40.940
in this country or despots in the third world, don't like being reminded of their failures. This is why
00:02:47.060
the greatest crime in any dictatorship is noticing. You're not supposed to notice things that are
00:02:52.660
embarrassing to the ruling regime. It's also why comedy and satire are banned in places like North
00:02:58.000
Korea, just like they're banned on late night talk shows in this country, because petty, corrupt,
00:03:02.460
and ineffective people can't stand it when their incompetence is exposed. They're willing to take
00:03:08.580
extreme measures to prevent that from happening. And right now in the city of New York, we're getting
00:03:13.600
a very clear sense of what those extreme measures look like in practice. If you've seen the news
00:03:20.260
lately, you know that the subway system is one of the most obvious and unavoidable signs of New York's
00:03:25.800
decline. It's a monument to the many, many failures of the city government. As of late last year, ridership on
00:03:32.560
New York's subway system is down more than 25% from pre-pandemic levels. That means that every day there are at
00:03:38.260
least a million fewer people riding the subway in New York as compared to five years ago. It's not
00:03:43.960
exactly a great mystery as to why people are avoiding it. There is a constant stream of violent
00:03:49.580
attacks on the trains and the platforms from people being pushed in front of the trains to a woman
00:03:55.280
getting burned alive. Yes, if you didn't hear about that a few weeks ago, a woman was burned alive
00:04:00.120
on a train in New York in front of a crowd of people. This is what's happening now in the third
00:04:04.960
world country known as New York City. And that's just within the last few weeks. These attacks are
00:04:09.780
effectively endorsed and enabled by New York's government, which has made the political decision
00:04:14.320
not to incarcerate most criminals. That explains why a man named Jamar Banks was able to use the
00:04:20.020
subway the other day. The New York Post reports that, quote, a subway maniac with 87 prior arrests
00:04:26.660
was just busted for two transit stabbings carrying the large knife he allegedly used in the violence.
00:04:32.760
Banks' rap sheet includes arrests for alleged attempted murder, weapons possession, assault,
00:04:37.820
criminal trespassing, turnstile jumping, and petty larceny. If politicians in New York didn't want to
00:04:44.200
destroy the city, they'd immediately throw every criminal like Jamar Banks in prison. They'd start
00:04:48.680
enforcing the law. It's actually, it's not hard to prevent people from getting randomly stabbed or
00:04:54.340
torched or thrown in front of trains. Despite what they might want you to think, this is a very easy
00:05:01.340
issue to address. The city could effectively end all this madness overnight in one fell swoop if they
00:05:07.300
wanted to. All you have to do is take all the people who are already known violent criminals
00:05:12.540
and put them in prison. And then you have to ban homeless people from setting up camp in the tunnels
00:05:18.300
or on the trains and arrest anyone who causes a disturbance. And this could all be done in one day.
00:05:23.660
I mean, you could fix the problem basically in one day. But none of that is happening. Instead,
00:05:28.840
rather than admit they've failed their constituents, politicians in New York have just decided to
00:05:34.040
compel citizens to use the subway. They've opted to make it financially untenable for most New Yorkers
00:05:41.280
to avoid public transit. That's their solution to the fact that no one in the city wants to ride the
00:05:46.320
subway anymore. They're just going to force them to do it. I'm talking about so-called congestion
00:05:51.420
pricing. After several years of debate, this congestion pricing, as they call it,
00:05:56.100
has just taken effect in Manhattan. And this is something that the media tells us with great
00:06:01.660
fanfare that this is a first in the world sort of thing and other cities will adopt it. It's a good
00:06:06.960
testing ground. And they're very excited about this being rolled out in other cities as well.
00:06:12.600
But in essence, this is a tax on anyone who wants to drive a vehicle into New York during work hours,
00:06:20.700
as if it wasn't already expensive enough to live in that diseased, rat-infested, crime-riddled,
00:06:26.140
reeking, filthy, godforsaken hellhole of a city. Now it's even more expensive. And this new tax is a
00:06:32.260
very clear effort to force New Yorkers to use the subway system, which has become an international
00:06:36.320
embarrassment. People don't want to use it because they don't want to be assaulted by schizophrenic
00:06:41.920
vagrants. So the solution isn't to get rid of the schizophrenic vagrants. Instead,
00:06:46.680
it's to simply force everyone to use it, basically offering these law-abiding citizens up as sacrifices
00:06:52.740
to the dregs of the community. Now, specifically, this new tax covers the vast majority of vehicles
00:06:59.440
entering Manhattan between 60th Street and the Battery, which includes Times Square, Hell's Kitchen,
00:07:04.640
the Theater District, other high-traffic areas, from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
00:07:10.460
on weekends, obviously a huge block of time. The so-called peak period toll rate is in effect.
00:07:15.200
And for all passenger and small commercial vehicles, that toll rate is $9 a day just to
00:07:22.380
drive through. Nine bucks you got to shell out per day. Now, to be clear about the political
00:07:27.340
dynamics here, the majority of New Yorkers oppose this scheme, as far as I can tell. A Siena College
00:07:32.400
survey from last summer found that nearly two-thirds of people living in the city didn't want a $15
00:07:37.760
congestion toll. In response to the outcry, the governor of New York briefly suspended the plan.
00:07:43.060
Then she said that she'd lower the toll a few dollars, claiming it would save New Yorkers some
00:07:47.400
money. So she claimed she was saving New Yorkers money by taking less of their money than she was
00:07:54.040
originally going to take. This was a prime example of a kind of political girl math, as I outlined at
00:07:59.820
the time. And now it's taken effect. Now, naturally, some left-wing New Yorkers rallied in response to
00:08:08.160
their government, gouging them even more. But instead of rallying against it, they actually rallied
00:08:14.720
to thank their overlords for the privilege of being bilked by them. Some of these scenes are so absurd
00:08:21.760
that they don't even seem like they can be real, but they are. So here, for example, is a crowd
00:08:26.820
cheering as the signage for this new toll is unveiled. Watch. Are we ready? Here we go. Five,
00:08:50.680
that they have to pay now. And you did also hear someone shouting, happy congestion pricing.
00:08:58.380
They're celebrating the implementation of an unprecedented tax as if it's a national holiday.
00:09:03.960
Now, this would seem to be bootlicking taken to an unparalleled extreme, and it is. But we should
00:09:11.180
also understand that really they're celebrating the fact that because of this tax, wealthy New Yorkers
00:09:16.200
will have to contend with fewer working class people on the roads in Manhattan. And the same
00:09:21.640
people who celebrated the assassination of the healthcare CEO, some kind of twisted victory for
00:09:28.120
the little guy, are very, very happy about using a tax to keep the little guy as far away from them
00:09:34.820
as they possibly can, which is a pretty big clue that none of these people actually care about the
00:09:38.920
little guy. But if you ask them, of course, they'll pretend otherwise. And in particular,
00:09:43.740
they'll say that congestion pricing is necessary because it will help pay for improvements to the
00:09:49.260
subway system. So, for example, when the government, the governor briefly halted the plan for this
00:09:54.460
tax, this toll last summer, this was the response. Watch.
00:09:59.220
There was a march through Manhattan today in support of congestion pricing. Dozens of people rallied from
00:10:04.920
Times Square to Union Square. They're expressing outrage over the sudden decision by Governor Hochul to
00:10:11.120
put congestion pricing on an indefinite pause. It's been fully vetted. It's a funding source for
00:10:17.300
the MTA for years and years to come. Vital services, ADA upgrades, signal upgrades, all of
00:10:23.840
these capital projects that we just don't have any other way to pay with it. I'm here to protest because
00:10:27.940
we've been the subject of a great betrayal by the governor.
00:10:32.740
If you want to explain to someone how cities like New York and so many others across the country
00:10:37.300
are collapsing, just show them that clip. According to the residents of the city, it's a great betrayal
00:10:43.600
that the government isn't taxing them. They're mad that they aren't being taxed.
00:10:54.040
Now, to be fair, the first guy was arguably a little less pathetic. He was talking about all
00:10:58.160
the alleged benefits that will result from this tax scheme. He's saying that they'll be able to
00:11:03.380
improve the subway system to make it more accessible, which is a talking point that a lot of these
00:11:10.380
A unique rally today in favor of congestion pricing. Dozens of strollers parked outside
00:11:15.700
a Brooklyn subway station amid growing calls for the plan to be put back in place. The march was held
00:11:21.280
near the Hoyt Shimmerhorn station, which was slated for elevator upgrades before congestion pricing was
00:11:27.000
stopped. Parents brought their strollers out, showing why they need an easier way to reach subway
00:11:32.560
platforms. The idea that only 25% of our transit system is accessible is not okay, right? Folks need
00:11:40.880
to get to work. They need to get to school. We have a message for the governor today. The parents of New
00:11:46.460
York City demand congestion pricing. We demand to be taxed. Take more of our money, please.
00:11:54.200
One of the many false assumptions these people are making is that more money will improve the subway
00:11:58.620
system, which is, of course, the left. That's what they assume about everything. Just throw more
00:12:02.480
money at it. It will automatically make it better. And no matter how many billions you spend on
00:12:06.800
something and it just gets worse and worse, they never, the correlation there, they just never pick
00:12:12.020
up on. Because, of course, it doesn't work that way. And we know that because the New York subway
00:12:16.600
system is a comically obvious example of waste and mismanagement in government. For example,
00:12:21.740
the Second Avenue subway that was recently constructed in Manhattan somehow costs more money
00:12:25.840
than any other similar subway system on the planet, by a lot. Quoting from Bloomberg,
00:12:31.940
at $2.5 billion per mile, construction costs for the 1.8 mile phase one of the Second Avenue subway
00:12:39.120
were 8 to 12 times more expensive than similar subway projects in Italy, Istanbul, Sweden, Paris,
00:12:47.260
Berlin, and Spain. Keep in mind, too, that these are people that they want to build.
00:12:51.500
You know, they have dreams of high-speed rail across the entire country, right? And they say that
00:12:58.440
we can easily do this because they do this in European countries because, like, they don't
00:13:02.320
understand that these European countries are not even the size of one of our, you know, mid-sized
00:13:08.700
states. But with this kind of cost, I mean, how much would it cost if they tried to do this across
00:13:13.680
the entire country? Trillions of dollars? So that's one potential way to raise revenue right off the bat.
00:13:19.340
They could just stop lighting money on fire. Secondly, if you're worried about congestion in
00:13:22.900
Manhattan, you could try a lot of things besides charging people to drive their cars. You could,
00:13:26.480
for example, try opening more lanes instead of closing them for cyclists. Anyone who's ever
00:13:32.080
driven through Manhattan or any large city can tell you that. Here's just one example.
00:13:36.840
I want y'all to see, this is New York City. This is what they're doing to the lanes. Look at that.
00:13:44.140
Look at that. They bottleneck in the lanes, bro. This is 8th Avenue.
00:13:49.400
Right? So one, two, three lanes. That's it. There's only three lanes uptown.
00:13:57.360
And I wish I could have showed you the camera prior to this because the lane that I'm driving
00:14:01.200
in now, they cut this off. Look at them. They cut this lane off right here. This is another lane.
00:14:07.140
Look at that. Look at that. They killed three lanes. And they're talking about congestion.
00:14:14.620
That's something that no one ever mentions as a possible solution in every city to deal with
00:14:21.060
congestion. There's a lot of it here in Nashville. Get rid of the stupid bike lanes. You'll find the
00:14:26.940
same thing in cities all over the country. You have to sit in traffic because the city has blocked off
00:14:30.640
entire lanes so people can ride their bicycles in the street. As I've said many times, they might
00:14:35.860
as well block off lanes so that you can use your ab roller or your bench press in the middle of the
00:14:40.380
street. I mean, if you want to exercise, that's great. I support it. You shouldn't be doing it in
00:14:44.400
the road when everyone is trying to commute to work. Now, one of the arguments you'll hear from
00:14:49.060
these activists is that somehow this new tax will reduce carbon emissions and change the weather and
00:14:54.420
save the planet. This is science, you see. Step one, you pay a toll. Step three, hurricanes stop
00:15:00.620
happening. The problem is that step two is a little bit foggy. And anyway, even if you assume that reducing
00:15:07.480
carbon emissions by a tiny amount will change the weather for the better, it's a moot point because this
00:15:11.760
won't actually reduce carbon emissions. Instead, traffic is going to move elsewhere. People living
00:15:15.720
in New Jersey understand that pretty well, which is why they tried to sue to stop the tax from taking
00:15:19.600
place. But regardless, even if you don't buy any of the counter arguments, even if you think that
00:15:24.420
New York's government urgently needs more money to improve the subway, it's still not clear why
00:15:29.360
congestion pricing is the best way to raise that revenue. Why not raise taxes on those evil
00:15:33.640
corporations the left claims to hate so much? Why didn't they do that? Instead, they raise it on
00:15:38.120
regular citizens. It only makes sense when you realize again that the objective is to force
00:15:43.680
more people into public transit and get them off the roads. And admittedly, this whole fiasco may
00:15:51.540
seem irrelevant to anyone who has the good sense to not live in New York. But this sort of madness can
00:15:56.960
be found in varying degrees wherever Democrats have power. I mean, the idea that Trump's re-election would
00:16:03.620
be some kind of wake-up call for elected Democrats is a fantasy. They can't be woken up because they
00:16:12.200
aren't asleep. They're not in some sort of trance. They're doing exactly what they want. And their
00:16:16.620
policies are having precisely the effect that they intend. Here, for example, here's just an image for
00:16:22.460
you. This is an image from the New York subway system. And this is how people wait now for the train
00:16:29.920
to come. You'll notice that everyone is standing against the wall in a line because they don't want
00:16:38.040
to get pushed on the tracks by some psycho. I mean, that's smart. I mean, that's how you should line
00:16:44.580
up. But it's just straight up dystopian that it's come to this. And you have to wonder how long people
00:16:49.960
will put up with it. If there's any waking up that can happen and must happen, it's among the average
00:16:56.500
citizens in places like New York and cities across the country. If they ever come to their senses and
00:17:01.920
realize that the people they put in power are actively and intentionally making their lives worse
00:17:08.300
in every measurable way, then maybe things will start to change for the better. But unfortunately
00:17:15.320
for everyone living in New York, based on the celebrations we're seeing in support of this tax,
00:17:20.440
which is really a tax on using your own property and going about your daily life,
00:17:24.000
it doesn't look like that will happen anytime soon. Now let's get to our five headlines.
00:17:36.020
Did you know that 80% of resolutions fail by February? Well, this year, this year can be
00:17:41.780

00:18:53.740
the news over the weekend. New York Post reports President Biden bestowed woke Democratic mega
00:18:59.560
donor George Soros with the Presidential Medal of Freedom on Saturday, outraging critics who ripped
00:19:05.000
the election as a national disgrace. Soros, 94, 94 years old, guy just refuses to die, just lingers on,
00:19:15.340
was among the 19 people chosen to receive the nation's highest civilian honor at the White House,
00:19:20.080
a group that included U2 frontman Bono, actor Denzel Washington, and who was the other one?
00:19:29.840
Hillary Clinton also awarded one. George Soros spent, this is Montana Senator Tim Sheehy,
00:19:37.320
George Soros spent millions electing soft on crime politicians to let criminals wreak havoc in our
00:19:41.120
major cities. Hillary Clinton abandoned our Navy SEALs in Libya, and yet she's winning the award,
00:19:47.360
of course. Biden said that, of Soros said, his inspiring generosity reminds us all of our capacity
00:19:55.700
and our obligation to stand up to the abuse of power and to be guardians of democracy and all
00:20:00.220
people yearning to be free. Biden repeatedly thanks Soros for what he called all you've done
00:20:05.260
to help this country. Yes, all he's done to help this country by making it less safe, less prosperous,
00:20:13.180
less free, more dangerous, more plagued by crime and drugs. George Soros next to Barack Obama has
00:20:19.640
inflicted more harm on this country than probably any other single human being living in the world
00:20:26.660
today, maybe ever. Giving him a Medal of Freedom, and Hillary Clinton also, and nearly everyone else on
00:20:35.960
the list, is a joke. I mean, if anything, maybe you give Hillary Clinton the Medal of Honor for all of
00:20:41.240
her confirmed kills. But really, the award they both deserve is to die in prison, and instead they
00:20:49.700
get the Medal of Freedom. I hope, rather than just complaining about this, because that gets old after
00:20:56.660
a while, I hope that Trump, this is one of the many things that I hope Trump responds to when he's in
00:21:01.380
office, and I hope he responds to this by immediately awarding the Medal of Freedom to Daniel Penny when he
00:21:08.480
takes office. I mean, I wanted him to do that regardless, even if George Soros hadn't gotten
00:21:12.900
the award. I'd still think that that should happen. Daniel Penny should get it because he deserves it,
00:21:19.000
but now that Biden is giving it to George Soros, I mean, he's using the Medal of Freedom to troll
00:21:26.100
conservatives. That's what he's doing. That's the only reason that he did it. That's what this is all
00:21:29.620
about. So in that case, I mean, I'd like to see Trump give the Medal of Freedom to Derek Chauvin.
00:21:38.220
Give it to Derek Chauvin. Derek Chauvin also deserves it. The guy's been sitting in prison for
00:21:43.440
the crime of protecting his community from a dangerous, drug-addled criminal. So here's the
00:21:51.100
roster of people that I think Trump should give the Medal of Freedom to, like in his first week in
00:21:54.920
office. Daniel Penny, Derek Chauvin, Kyle Rittenhouse. Give it to those three guys.
00:22:01.220
And also, who's that guy who shot the climate protesters down in South America or Central
00:22:09.480
America somewhere? It was like Brazil or Panama, I think. He was an American citizen, I believe.
00:22:17.440
And there were climate protesters blocking the road, and he shot them, which I don't condone. I'm not
00:22:22.380
condoning it one bit. Just to be clear, I would never condone something like that in a show that's
00:22:29.120
on YouTube. But give him the Medal of Freedom, too. I mean, he's more deserving than George Soros,
00:22:35.320
and he's killed far fewer people. Actually, we didn't even mention the most absurd recipient
00:22:42.160
on Saturday. For some unknown reason, Bill Nye, the science guy, was also given a medal. I think we
00:22:49.840
have a clip of that. So Bill Nye was a popular, if you don't remember, he was a somewhat popular
00:23:09.320
children's TV character for a brief time in the 90s. He has not been relevant or done anything that
00:23:16.120
has made any cultural impact of any kind at all since the 90s. It's been at least 30 years since
00:23:22.300
Bill Nye has contributed anything at all to the culture, if he ever really contributed much of
00:23:26.880
anything to begin with. If you're going to give the Medal of Freedom to 90s TV characters who haven't
00:23:33.200
been relevant in two and a half decades, why not give it to the Power Rangers? I want to see Trump do that
00:23:39.720
also. That's the second week. Bring all the original Power Rangers up there in their suits
00:23:46.040
and give them Medal of Freedom. The Teletubbies, Barney. How about Barney? Barney in his dinosaur
00:23:53.820
costume, give him the Medal of Freedom. These are all he does. And you know what? If we're giving the
00:23:58.700
Medal of Freedom just to troll people at this point, I'll volunteer to take. I'll take one.
00:24:04.540
You can give one to me. I'm at least as deserving as Bill Nye. Here's my proposal to the Trump team.
00:24:10.600
Give me a Medal of Freedom, but make it clear specifically for my contributions to DEI. And I'll
00:24:18.780
wear the man bun wig for the ceremony and everything because the Medal of Freedom means absolutely
00:24:25.700
nothing now. So you just use it to troll your political opponents. That's my thing. That's my
00:24:30.900
specialty. So just an idea. Just throwing it out there. Just throwing it out there.
00:24:37.240
All right, let's go all the way back to two weeks ago. This is one of the many stories we haven't had
00:24:42.780
a chance to talk about because we haven't been on air. So it was right before Christmas,
00:24:49.820
the Biden administration announced that they were commuting the death sentences of almost
00:24:55.740
every inmate on federal death row. Almost every inmate.
00:25:04.200
New York Post reports or reported at the time, they said this a couple of weeks ago.
00:25:08.860
President Biden on Monday commuted the sentences of 37 of the 40 men on federal death row,
00:25:14.960
a list that includes at least five child killers and several mass murderers while leaving out three
00:25:19.920
notorious fiends. In the stunning act of clemency just two days before Christmas, Biden, 82,
00:25:24.860
gave the reprieve to some of the nation's most violent murderers. Nine of them found too dangerous
00:25:29.420
to live after butchering fellow inmates as part of his effort at ensuring a fair and effective
00:25:34.500
justice system. Make no mistake, I condemn these murderers, grieve for the victims of their
00:25:39.640
despicable acts and ache for all the families who have suffered unimaginable and irreparable loss,
00:25:44.260
Biden said in a statement. But guided by my conscience and my experience as a public defender,
00:25:49.160
chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, vice president, now president, I am more convinced than ever
00:25:54.200
that we must stop the use of the death penalty at the federal level. In good conscience,
00:25:57.760
I cannot stand back and let a new administration resume executions that I halted. Biden, who opposed
00:26:04.300
the death penalty, lowered each of the 37 sentences to life in prison without parole.
00:26:10.340
The three men on federal death row who did not get a commutation were Boston Marathon bomber,
00:26:16.760
Robert Bowers, who killed 11 at a Pittsburgh synagogue in 2018, and of course, Dylan Roof,
00:26:29.540
who killed nine black Charleston churchgoers in 2015. Among those getting some holiday cheer is
00:26:36.940
Thomas Sanders, who in 2010 kidnapped and then shot 12-year-old Lexus Roberts four times and cut her
00:26:44.200
throat in Louisiana. Days after the girl watched as Sanders murdered her mother on a road trip near
00:26:49.520
the Grand Canyon. Also, there's Anthony Battle, who murdered Atlanta prison guard with a hammer in
00:27:00.000
1994 while serving a life sentence for raping and murdering his wife. There was another guy, Jorge Avila
00:27:07.380
Torres, who sexually assaulted and stabbed to death two girls, eight and nine years old, Laura Hobbs and
00:27:14.480
Crystal Tobias. Four years later, he strangled naval officer Amanda Snell inside her barrack in Arlington,
00:27:21.380
Virginia. There's also Caboni Savage was convicted of committing or ordering the deaths of 12 people,
00:27:29.800
including four children, as a drug dealer in Philadelphia. So, and that's, you know, that's just a,
00:27:35.760
say it's like three or four of the, of the, whatever it was, 39 people who've had their death sentences
00:27:42.580
commuted. So this is a horrific injustice, obviously. All of these people deserve to die
00:27:48.920
for their crimes. Biden is giving a giant middle finger to the families of these victims, many of
00:27:53.620
whom are children. The fact that he did it right before Christmas just makes it all the more despicable.
00:27:58.740
I mean, this guy is just a soulless, rotten hunk of flesh at this point. Um, just a deeply evil
00:28:05.680
person. And, um, and that's very clear. That's undeniable. What I want to talk about instead is the
00:28:14.000
incoherence of this, right? It's totally incoherent. The leftist position on the death penalty, along with
00:28:21.940
being morally vacuous is logically absurd. It doesn't even make any sense. So let's just start
00:28:30.280
with the fact that this commutation, this magical get out of the death chamber free card was granted
00:28:36.840
to everyone, but three. Why is that? I mean, in his explanation of this, he said he doesn't believe
00:28:44.080
in the death penalty and that the federal, uh, the, the federal government should not be executing
00:28:49.740
anybody. So, but, but you're still going to execute three people. I mean, how can you wave this magic
00:28:57.060
wand that grants mercy and clemency to all of these scumbags, but three, the three who still have to die
00:29:06.020
apparently are, as we just said, the mass shooters who shot up the black church in Charleston, uh, the
00:29:11.460
synagogue shooter, and then also the Boston bomber. Now, yes, these are all terrible people.
00:29:18.520
These are all evil monsters. They all deserve to die. Absolutely. But are they worse than a guy who
00:29:27.500
murdered or ordered the deaths of 12 people, including kids? Are, are they worse than child
00:29:35.020
rapists who kidnapped, raped and killed children? I mean, the, the one guy I mentioned, he kidnapped
00:29:42.920
these, these two young girls off their bikes in a, in the neighborhood and raped and murdered and
00:29:48.920
murdered them. Really? He's these other guys who are, who are still have to die. They're that much
00:29:54.760
worse. They're like categorically worse than a child rapist and murderer. Really? Um,
00:30:04.220
Kaboni Savage killed 12 people. Dylan Roof killed nine, but Savage won't be executed and Dylan Roof will.
00:30:12.660
Why? Well, I mean, really, why is it that there's, there's no explanation. That's what's so incredible
00:30:19.420
about this. No explanation was given. They just randomly said, well, yeah, not these three.
00:30:26.600
Imagine being those three guys on federal, you know, someone walks in and says, Hey, all you guys,
00:30:31.080
you're not going to be executed. You all get to leave death row. Oh, except for you three. No,
00:30:35.080
you're, you're staying. Sorry. Not that I feel sorry for them. I mean, uh, it's like I said,
00:30:40.920
they deserve, they should be executed already. My, my, my only problem with Dylan Roof and
00:30:44.700
with the treatment of Dylan Roof and, uh, you know, the synagogue shooter in the, in the, uh,
00:30:50.140
Boston marathon bomber. My only problem with their treatment is that they're still alive.
00:30:53.180
They should have been executed a long time ago, but same for all these other people.
00:30:58.220
Um, it's just, it's so arbitrary. So going back to this again, this guy killed 12 people.
00:31:05.200
Dylan Roof killed nine. The other guy won't be executed in a roof will. Why is it, is it because
00:31:10.600
Roof's victims were black? Is it more evil to kill black people than people of other races?
00:31:17.940
Well, this guy was a drug dealer. How many of his victims were black? Probably like all of them.
00:31:24.460
Now in any way, why does that matter? Why does the race of the victim matter in the first place?
00:31:30.180
Now I'm being intentionally obtuse here. I, I know, I know why I know what's going on.
00:31:34.740
I'm just pointing out the logical absurdity of this. Um, what about the synagogue?
00:31:40.600
He's a synagogue shooter. He still has to die, but the guy who abducted and sexually assaulted and
00:31:45.680
then stabbed to death children doesn't. Why is shooting up a synagogue worse than raping and
00:31:50.740
killing children? Biden seems to think that, that, that one is again, not just worse, but like
00:31:58.620
categorically worse. I don't, I don't say, I, I don't see how you rank it. I think you get to a
00:32:07.440
point where you have people who are so monstrous and they've done things that are so hideously awful
00:32:11.620
that there's no way of ranking it now. It's just, it's, these are all people, everybody on federal
00:32:17.120
death row. These are all people who have done the worst possible things that a human being can do in
00:32:22.500
this life. And to get into a game of, well, yeah, this was a little worse than that one. It's doesn't
00:32:28.540
make any sense. And one other point about this, speaking of incoherence, I seem to recall, um,
00:32:37.180
you know, about a month long period where many on the left and even some on the right,
00:32:44.280
as embarrassing as that is to admit, were simping and fawning over a guy who executed another guy
00:32:52.140
on a street. And now many of those same people, the same people who were overjoyed by a healthcare
00:32:58.980
CEO getting shot in the back and killed. Um, those same people are also praising Biden for
00:33:05.760
letting 37 killers and child rapists off of death row, claiming the death penalty is evil
00:33:11.540
and we have no right to kill anyone, no matter how bad they are, except for the healthcare CEO.
00:33:16.560
Really? So the position that these people seem to hold, and it's not just a few people,
00:33:22.500
okay? It's not just a few. This isn't like some straw man based on a few extremists.
00:33:27.760
It's like millions of people on the left seem to believe that, um, the death penalty is an abject
00:33:34.180
evil and totally unacceptable unless it's carried out extra judicially by a psychotic criminal
00:33:42.620
against a citizen who has not been convicted or even charged with any crime.
00:33:50.340
That's the one kind of the death penalty that they support. The only kind of death penalty they
00:33:56.180
don't support is the kind where someone is actually convicted of a crime and, and, you know,
00:34:02.380
it's been proven that they killed other people. So arresting, charging, convicting, and executing a
00:34:11.580
man who kidnapped, raped, and killed children is wrong. But shooting and killing a man who ran a
00:34:17.760
health insurance company is right. This is their position. Again, this is the position of like
00:34:25.140
millions of people on the left. It's not just a few. This is what they think.
00:34:29.020
And by the way, that's to say nothing of the fact that they also support the death penalty for, uh,
00:34:41.000
So the two kinds of death penalty they support is, uh, if it's a, if it's a, some schizophrenic
00:34:47.420
whack job shooting a guy in the back on the street, they support that. Or if you are, um,
00:34:53.400
killing a baby when they're still on the one. But so those are the two good ones. That's,
00:34:56.860
that's the good death penalty. The bad death penalty is when you're, uh, you know,
00:35:01.760
charging and convicting a child rapist and child killer and executing him for his crimes.
00:35:06.120
That's the bad kind of death penalty. I mean, it's just, how do you share a country with people
00:35:11.520
that think this way? Uh, you, you can't, I mean, you can't share a country with people like this.
00:35:17.840
Um, you certainly can't have any kind of, you know, national unity.
00:35:27.660
I don't want to be unified with people like that. I don't want to share a country with them. I don't
00:35:31.280
want to know them. I don't want to talk to them. You know, if, if that's your view, if you look at
00:35:38.360
it like that, where you care more about sparing the life of a child rapist,
00:35:42.900
than about sparing the life of actual children or like a CEO of a company, if that's your view,
00:35:52.380
I, I, I, we got nothing to talk about. I don't want to debate you. I don't want to talk to you.
00:35:56.340
I don't want to be around you. Um, because that's not just intellectual confusion, although it is
00:36:04.240
that, but it's also a deep moral failing on your part. You're just like a bad person deep down
00:36:11.980
at your core. Um, and unfortunately, I think that describes,
00:36:17.860
you know, a lot of people, uh, that on, on that particular side of the political divide. Okay.
00:36:29.240
Let's talk about a controversy, a little bit less, slightly less, uh, serious, but still,
00:36:34.820
still serious. So this is a video that's gone viral. There's been a lot of conversation about it,
00:36:40.260
a lot of debates. Uh, you know, I did Google this to see if there's been some news coverage of this
00:36:47.120
event. Uh, cause I want to be sure like it's, it's possible that this isn't even real. Maybe
00:36:52.540
it's some weird skit or something possible, but, uh, the conversation around it is still real. And
00:36:59.060
I think it's legit. I mean, it's great acting if it's not, I mean, this is very good acting. If
00:37:02.660
somebody, if this is just some, uh, tick tock thing anyway, so the video apparently is a delivery
00:37:09.020
driver, uh, DoorDash or Uber Eats. One of those two who I assume, um, frantically asks a customer
00:37:18.620
if he can come in and use her bathroom, you know, delivered the food and he wants to use her
00:37:23.240
bathroom and she turns them away. And so it's become a debate online. People are saying,
00:37:27.840
there's some people saying, well, like, what do you do in this situation? Says someone's a stranger,
00:37:31.940
you know, they're delivering your food. They want to use your bathroom. Do you let them in?
00:37:34.980
Uh, some people think that the customer is being very mean here. And, um, so we'll play it and,
00:37:40.920
you know, you tell me what you think. Here it is.
00:37:43.080
We can't answer the door right now, but if you'd like to leave a message, you can do it now.
00:37:58.720
Hi, I have diarrhea. Please let me use your bathroom. Please, please, please.
00:38:01.340
I can't. I'm going to. I know. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. I'm, I'm sorry. I'm
00:38:49.040
He walks away suspiciously slowly because I think maybe at that point,
00:38:53.060
I think it'd become a moot point at that point.
00:38:59.140
So I have to tell you, I'm surprised this is even a conversation,
00:39:07.140
this would be the easiest no in the history of no's.
00:39:14.200
and asking to unleash a torrent of diarrhea in my bathroom.
00:39:20.040
And you want to do that while I try to eat the food
00:39:26.880
There's no part of that proposal that I would find appealing.
00:39:36.360
Now, of course, the main reason you shouldn't let a stranger in your house
00:39:38.660
under these circumstances is that there's a decent chance
00:39:41.040
that they don't have to use the bathroom at all,
00:39:42.980
and this could be a ruse to get into your house
00:39:49.580
Although, to be honest, I'm not sure if getting robbed is worse
00:40:05.520
I think I might actually be a little bit relieved.
00:40:16.580
This is partly the sad result of living in a low-trust society.
00:40:25.020
Maybe you consider letting a stranger use your bathroom.
00:40:31.180
I don't care what time and place you're living in.
00:40:33.840
But if he's outright telling you that he's going to go number two,
00:40:37.140
I mean, I don't want to get too graphic about it,
00:41:08.980
I mean, you have to deal with reality as it is.
00:41:27.480
people walk up to your gas stations all the time
