00:02:18.660 the single worst tweet you can imagine. And I don't mean worst tweet as in an extremely dumb tweet. 0.99

00:02:25.860 It's easy to think of one of those. I mean the worst tweet as in the kind of tweet that poses a 0.61

00:02:31.820 threat to civilization as we know it. I mean the kind of tweet that merits the direct involvement of

00:02:36.980 the president of the United States and the entire judicial system. I mean the kind of tweet that judges

00:02:41.380 will punish far more severely than most federal crimes, including the following crimes that I will

00:02:46.920 list. Crime number one, exposing yourself to a 13-year-old girl and then stalking her through

00:02:52.800 the streets when she spots you, forcing the girl to bang on the doors of random apartments so that 0.98

00:02:57.020 she can hide. Crime number two, publicly threatening to murder an infidel who dares to insult Muhammad. 0.99

00:03:03.560 Crime number three, sexually assaulting a 12-year-old. And then crime number four, domestic abuse,

00:03:08.760 including physical abuse over a three-year period. Now these are all very serious crimes.

00:03:14.440 But again, in our little experiment, these offenses pale in comparison to your tweet of 280 characters

00:03:21.600 or less. Your single tweet will do more damage than any of those atrocious crimes. And the judicial

00:03:28.240 system therefore will punish you accordingly. So what would your tweet have to look like in that scenario?

00:03:34.820 Now the problem you may be running into is that it would seem literally no tweet could possibly ever be

00:03:42.440 that bad or destructive. And that's true unless maybe it's a tweet that, say, discloses America's nuclear

00:03:49.120 launch codes along with instructions about how to launch the nukes. I mean, that might rise to the level

00:03:54.160 we're discussing. But if that's the kind of tweet you're imagining, then you didn't quite nail it.

00:03:59.420 Because thanks to our alleged allies in the United Kingdom, we have the definitive answer to this

00:04:06.080 thought experiment. So here is the tweet that, according to the UK justice system, is so unthinkable

00:04:12.020 and so barbaric that it is worse than assaulting a child. Here it is. And as you can see, if you're

00:04:19.460 watching on video, it reads, quote, mass deportation now. Set fire to all the effing hotels full of the 0.95

00:04:26.160 bastards for all I care. While you're at it, take the treacherous government and politicians with them. 1.00

00:04:31.440 I feel physically sick knowing that these families will know what these families will now have to endure.

00:04:36.280 If that makes me racist, so be it.

00:04:41.200 So there it is.

00:04:43.660 That's the tweet.

00:04:45.160 If you're not shaking yet, then according to the British government,

00:04:47.960 you should be. Because that's the post that, in the eyes of the UK's justice system,

00:04:54.080 is worse than physically attacking and stalking children.

00:04:59.440 It's one of the worst things you can say out loud or post on social media.

00:05:03.400 It's basically a nuclear bomb in tweet format.

00:05:07.100 Now, you might be thinking to yourself,

00:05:09.860 that's it?

00:05:12.240 I mean, by the standards of social media,

00:05:14.180 it's extremely tame.

00:05:16.840 She's not even directly calling for anyone to commit acts of violence.

00:05:20.380 There's no direct incitement here.

00:05:22.740 She's saying she wouldn't care if other people committed acts of violence.

00:05:27.260 Now, every day, by contrast, there are about 10 million posts that directly threaten other

00:05:31.640 people in very specific terms.

00:05:33.940 Ask me how I know.

00:05:35.600 So how exactly is this one post such a big problem?

00:05:40.380 Now, when you consider the context of the post,

00:05:42.420 that question becomes even more difficult to answer.

00:05:45.200 That tweet that we just read was written at 8.30 p.m. on July 29th, 2024,

00:05:50.380 by a 41-year-old professional babysitter called a childminder in the UK, amusingly enough,

00:05:56.340 named Lucy Connolly.

00:05:57.960 And you can see her in this photo right here.

00:06:01.740 She was reacting to the news that earlier in the day,

00:06:04.340 the son of Rwandan migrants had just slaughtered three young girls at a dance studio in Southport,

00:06:09.560 where they were singing along to Taylor Swift and making friendship bracelets for each other

00:06:14.080 and then were viciously murdered.

00:06:18.000 And this obviously was a very big story.

00:06:21.020 We've talked about it several times on the show.

00:06:22.840 Once again, here's what the killer looked like.

00:06:24.560 You can see him there.

00:06:26.880 It's nightmare fuel, as you can see.

00:06:28.740 This photo alone is grounds for the immediate deportation of this individual,

00:06:32.380 along with everyone related to him.

00:06:33.980 But even before this attack, there were about a million other grounds for deportation.

00:06:39.560 When you look into this story, it was a very preventable act of terrorism.

00:06:44.360 Now, for one thing, the killer had repeatedly been referred to counterterrorism investigators

00:06:49.060 in the years prior to this murder spree at the dance studio.

00:06:52.940 He was threatening people left and right.

00:06:56.060 And just a week before the Southport massacre,

00:06:58.580 the killer tried to hail a cab that would take him to his former school,

00:07:01.800 where he had been expelled for carrying a knife and threatening students.

00:07:04.980 His father desperately ran out into the street and told the cabbie not to drive him anywhere,

00:07:09.540 probably because he knew that his son was planning to kill everybody at the school.

00:07:13.620 But his father did not alert the police after this incident,

00:07:17.120 nor did he have informed the police that is about his son's al-Qaeda training manual

00:07:21.180 or the ricin that was in his possession, although it's not clear if he knew about those.

00:07:26.040 And of course, this killer and his parents should not have been in the UK in the first place.

00:07:30.400 They should have been back home in Rwanda, 1.00

00:07:33.580 contributing their wisdom and rich culture to their home country.

00:07:37.140 But instead, they were spreading cultural enrichment to the UK.

00:07:42.080 So with all this in mind, you know, it wasn't exactly surprising that

00:07:46.820 in the wake of this murderous rampage at the dance studio,

00:07:50.980 someone like Lucy Connolly would call for mass deportations on social media. 1.00

00:07:54.940 It also wasn't surprising that she'd talk about burning various migrant encampments inside the UK, 0.98

00:08:00.700 whether or not so-called asylum seekers and government officials were inside them.

00:08:04.860 And that's because when people witness the brutal execution of small children inside their own country

00:08:10.980 at the hands of foreign nationals who have no business being anywhere near their country, 0.99

00:08:15.680 they're liable to become upset.

00:08:17.980 But they're liable to wonder why they even have a government

00:08:22.640 if it can't keep them safe from Rwandan migrants, 1.00

00:08:25.540 particularly Rwandan migrants who have been unstable and dangerous for many years. 1.00

00:08:30.820 To be clear, Lucy Connolly was not threatening to commit any act of violence.

00:08:36.880 She wasn't saying that she was about to go out and torch a migrant hotel or kill any politician,

00:08:41.880 nor did she tell anybody else to do it.

00:08:43.800 There was no imminent threat of violence.

00:08:47.320 She was expressing frustration, as she has every right to do in a free country.

00:08:53.040 But the UK is not a free country,

00:08:55.420 which is why Lucy Connolly, for the crime of sending that one tweet, 1.00

00:08:59.820 was just sentenced to two and a half years in prison.

00:09:04.660 Two and a half years in prison for that tweet.

00:09:07.640 Now, you may have heard about this case,

00:09:09.360 especially now that the Trump administration says that it's monitoring,

00:09:12.060 quote-unquote, the situation.

00:09:13.740 It's also been picked up by a few different outlets.

00:09:16.880 But to really understand how pathological and disturbing this prosecution is,

00:09:21.940 you need to see some of the details behind Lucy Connolly's appeal,

00:09:25.460 which was just rejected by a panel of three judges.

00:09:28.440 She went to court to reduce her sentence, and they denied her appeal.

00:09:32.220 And if you look at what happened during her appeal,

00:09:35.600 you realize that the British government is engaging in a very sadistic effort

00:09:40.200 to crush the right of freedom of speech in their country.

00:09:44.020 Their goal is to communicate very explicitly

00:09:46.520 that citizens are not allowed to complain about the natural effects

00:09:51.080 of their government's actions.

00:09:53.040 And if citizens step out of line,

00:09:54.780 they'll be imprisoned for a very substantial period of time.

00:09:58.060 Now, for starters, in its ruling,

00:10:02.020 the appellate court confirmed that Lucy Connolly

00:10:05.220 deleted her allegedly offending tweet within three and a half hours.

00:10:10.660 Yes, the tweet was posted to her account

00:10:13.380 for a grand total of three and a half hours.

00:10:16.960 And she also had an account that was followed by a few hundred people.

00:10:20.600 So basically, nobody saw it, right?

00:10:24.380 Very few people even saw it.

00:10:25.860 Now, millions of people have seen it because they're prosecuting her for it. 0.95

00:10:28.820 But if they had just let her delete it,

00:10:31.720 and then that would have been the end of it.

00:10:37.200 And in those three and a half hours, unsurprisingly,

00:10:40.140 no one torched a hotel because of her tweet.

00:10:43.500 Nobody killed a politician or attempted to kill a politician.

00:10:47.760 But in the sentencing hearing,

00:10:49.020 the court found that Lucy Connolly still deserved to spend several years in jail. 0.99

00:10:54.800 Why is that?

00:10:55.860 If you look into the appellate court's decision, here's what you'll find.

00:10:59.820 They say that on July 25th, several days before the Southport stabbing,

00:11:04.960 she wrote, quote,

00:11:06.680 Somalian, I guess, loads of them, followed by a vomiting emoji. 1.00

00:11:11.380 She wrote that post in response to a story about an apparent foreign national 0.99

00:11:14.560 who was caught masturbating in public.

00:11:16.680 She also mocked people who were demonstrating in favor of more illegal immigration, 0.57

00:11:21.440 saying, quote,

00:11:22.720 Oh, good.

00:11:23.480 I take it they will all be in line to sign up to house an illegal boat invader then.

00:11:27.700 Oh, sorry, refugee. 1.00

00:11:29.340 Maybe sign a waiver to say they don't mind if it's one of their family members that gets attacked, 0.95

00:11:33.640 butchered, raped, etc.

00:11:34.500 So in other words, in court, Lucy Connolly was being held responsible in part for expressing 0.64

00:11:44.960 completely reasonable sentiments about illegal migration.

00:11:48.940 There's nothing remotely controversial about either of those other two tweets.

00:11:52.620 I've said stuff like that on this show many, many times, unapologetically so.

00:11:59.360 But in the UK, her posts were considered an additional justification

00:12:02.740 for sentencing her to two and a half years in prison.

00:12:08.560 So you see how that works?

00:12:10.020 They find one tweet they don't like,

00:12:12.320 and then they just work their way backwards from there.

00:12:16.540 None of the mitigating factors mattered at all.

00:12:19.360 They didn't care that Lucy Connolly had never been convicted of any crime before.

00:12:24.680 They didn't care that her daughter is 12 years old

00:12:26.940 and her husband suffers from bone marrow failure.

00:12:30.680 They didn't care that one of Lucy Connolly's children died at 19 months old,

00:12:34.520 apparently due to incompetence by medical personnel,

00:12:37.200 a fact that would obviously make her more upset at the sight of seeing other children dying in Southport

00:12:41.660 because of needless government incompetence.

00:12:44.580 Here's what the judge wrote about that factor, by the way.

00:12:47.720 You have had tragedy in your own life with the loss of your very young child some years ago.

00:12:55.880 I have read the psychiatric report from some 12 years ago

00:12:58.580 as to the psychiatric difficulties you then suffered.

00:13:01.760 I accept that you still feel very keenly that loss.

00:13:05.680 There's no recent psychiatric evidence,

00:13:07.660 and whilst you may well have understood the grief of those

00:13:11.340 who suffered their own tragic losses in Southport,

00:13:13.300 you did not send a message of understanding and comfort,

00:13:15.960 but rather an incitement to hatred.

00:13:18.160 Close quote.

00:13:20.020 So in other words, in the UK,

00:13:22.080 you're not supposed to identify the reason that children are dying.

00:13:25.740 You're not allowed to be frustrated by the causes of these deaths.

00:13:30.240 Instead, you're just supposed to express understanding and comfort when it happens.

00:13:34.760 And if you don't follow that rule, then you go to prison for a very long time. 0.99

00:13:40.400 And also, notice the phrase that this worthless scumbag judge used. 1.00

00:13:48.860 They're not even claiming that Lucy incited violence.

00:14:04.740 And that is why Lucy Connolly is, in every sense, a political prisoner.

00:14:13.100 consider what happened to 21-year-old Ibrahim Mir,

00:14:19.640 In the wake of the Southport stabbings,

00:14:21.440 there was a lot of civil unrest,

00:14:23.520 and many British citizens were protesting

00:14:25.400 against all the migration into their country.

00:14:27.260 But Ibrahim Mir wasn't one of them.

00:14:29.200 Instead, he was one of the counter-protesters.

00:14:32.200 But there's evidence that he did a lot more than Mir protesting.

00:14:35.500 He was caught on camera wearing a balaclava

00:14:37.720 and throwing a brick

00:14:39.200 before running away with a bunch of friends

00:14:41.520 from his local mosque.

00:14:43.500 And he pleaded guilty to violent disorder.

00:14:47.240 But guess what Ibrahim Mir's sentence was?

00:14:50.340 Well, he didn't receive one.

00:14:52.760 Technically, he was hit with 20 months in prison,

00:14:54.880 but the sentence was suspended,

00:14:56.340 meaning he won't serve a day of it.

00:14:58.540 And here's what the judge,

00:14:59.420 somebody named Graham Smith,

00:15:01.880 told Ibrahim, quote,

00:15:03.300 You were holding a brick or a rock.

00:15:05.880 You discarded that.

00:15:06.880 The prosecution says you threw it.

00:15:08.580 You say you were getting rid of it.

00:15:09.960 In my judgment, you did throw it further than needed,

00:15:13.000 but not in the direction of anyone,

00:15:14.420 and nobody was hurt.

00:15:15.840 You were wearing a balaclava,

00:15:17.140 a futile attempt to disguise yourself,

00:15:19.700 if that's what you were trying to do.

00:15:21.140 I am told of your good character,

00:15:24.260 You have a caring role for your brother in illness.

00:15:31.780 So that's why he didn't go to prison.

00:15:36.700 Now, none of this sympathy was afforded to Lucy Connelly,

00:15:40.780 even though she never went out in public wearing a disguise.

00:15:44.980 She never threw a brick or anything like that.

00:15:48.780 And even though she's taking care of her husband,

00:15:51.520 who's sick, and her daughter.

00:15:54.460 Meanwhile, Ibrahim has a sick brother,

00:15:56.520 so he gets to go free.

00:15:57.640 I mean, it's not even a comparable situation at all.

00:16:01.040 One person wrote some words on a computer.

00:16:03.620 The other person went out in public,

00:16:05.160 dressed like a terrorist,

00:16:06.500 and committed acts that are obviously threatening and dangerous.

00:16:10.100 But in the UK, Lucy Connelly goes to prison for two years, 0.98

00:16:13.340 while this guy doesn't go to prison at all.

00:16:16.180 I mean, he suffered no consequences whatsoever.

00:16:23.720 who exposed himself to a 13-year-old girl,

00:16:25.840 and then stalked her through the streets.

00:16:27.740 And then after the girl escaped,

00:16:37.160 ultimately paid a fine of a few hundred bucks.
