The Matt Walsh Show - Ep. 1610 - LA Descends Into Chaos As Mexican Rioters Wage War On America

00:00:00.000 Today, Matt Walsh Show, chaos erupts in Los Angeles as rides break out to protest the

00:00:04.100 deportation of criminal aliens. It's the Summer of Love 2.0, and it could get a lot worse if the

00:00:09.660 terrorists aren't subdued and brought to justice. We'll talk about it. Also, the Elon versus Trump

00:00:13.620 feud seems to have died down after just a day or two, but I have a few thoughts on the subject.

00:00:17.960 We'll talk about that. And Simone Biles launches a vicious personal attack against Riley Gaines 1.00

00:00:23.160 on behalf of men who want to play in women's sports. We'll talk about all that and more today

00:00:27.520 on The Matt Walsh Show.

00:02:15.780 And this country needs more people just like that. If you want to understand why America's

00:02:21.440 second most populated city now resembles a dystopian hellscape with masked barbarians

00:02:26.840 shattering the windows at LAPD headquarters, lunatics in vans doing reverse donuts on the

00:02:31.320 sidewalks, foreign nationals waving Mexican flags and throwing stones at passing cars,

00:02:36.820 Antifa militants throwing Molotov cocktails and ramming their motorcycles into police lines,

00:02:41.100 you have to go back about 40 years or so. Now, that's when Ronald Reagan nearly swept the

00:02:47.720 electoral college by winning 49 states. Shortly after this total blowout, Reagan proceeded to sign

00:02:53.820 legislation that would make it impossible for any Republican presidential candidate to achieve

00:02:59.220 that margin of victory ever again. So he pulled the ladder up behind him in ways that nobody really

00:03:04.560 appreciated at the time. And he did it by granting amnesty to millions of illegal aliens who had entered

00:03:10.260 the United States. That decision kickstarted an unprecedented demographic change that would

00:03:15.020 torpedo any hope of national unity going forward. In order to appease any skeptics, Reagan's amnesty

00:03:20.840 legislation had been billed as a one-time only deal. And the idea was that going forward, the government

00:03:26.120 would take border security more seriously. But it was never a convincing argument. I mean, everyone knew

00:03:30.940 that more migrants would flood into the country now that the U.S. had demonstrated its hesitation to

00:03:35.380 deport illegal aliens. That's why even Ronald Reagan, one of the most popular presidents of all 0.79

00:03:40.580 time, wasn't able to sell this proposal to the public. Most Americans opposed the bill.

00:03:46.260 Nevertheless, it became law. Both parties united to push it through. And soon afterwards,

00:03:51.500 America began to change in ways that we still don't fully understand or appreciate. Take a look at this

00:03:57.900 chart from Pew. It shows the share of Hispanics in each U.S. county as of 1980. At the time,

00:04:03.900 Hispanics amounted to just 6% of the population of the country. There were a total of just 403 counties

00:04:11.660 out of more than 3,000 total counties in the country, in which Hispanics made up more than 5%

00:04:17.300 of the population. So now take a look at Pew's chart from 2020. 40 years later, Hispanics account 0.60

00:04:24.180 for more than 20% of the population. That's just the ones that we know about. Of course, illegal aliens 1.00

00:04:30.280 aren't included in these numbers, but even the official statistics are striking. Hispanics now

00:04:35.200 account for at least 5% of the population in more than 1,400 counties. This is a transformation

00:04:42.240 that's been particularly obvious in California. Take a drive through downtown L.A. sometime and you'll

00:04:46.800 see the signs all over the place. In fact, you'll see the signs quite literally because many of the

00:04:51.720 street signs are now written in Spanish. Compton is particularly unrecognizable. In the early 20th

00:04:57.540 century, Compton was roughly 95% white, as in non-Hispanic white. By the 1960s, the white

00:05:04.640 population was down to 33%. And now it's roughly one half of 1% white. Additionally, the black 1.00

00:05:12.500 population in Compton spiked at around 1970 to around 70%. And now Compton is roughly 70% Hispanic.

00:05:20.880 So in other words, Hispanics have essentially replaced the native population in Compton and in many other 0.82

00:05:26.960 neighborhoods in California as well. And this has not been a peaceful takeover. It was a hostile

00:05:32.140 invasion by a foreign power, one that doesn't even pretend to respect our laws or our culture. 0.99

00:05:38.900 Against their will, American citizens have been forced to watch as large portions of the state of

00:05:42.980 California and many other states have been transformed into outposts of dysfunctional third

00:05:48.120 world foreign countries. Now, the foreign nationals that have flooded into California have not brought

00:05:53.260 newfound prosperity or innovation to the United States. They have not enriched this country in

00:05:59.520 any observable way. In fields like technology, media, science, you will not find a single significant

00:06:06.880 breakthrough that's been generated by any of these migrants. Their communities are not adding value, 1.00

00:06:12.440 nor are they American in any relevant sense. Instead, for several years now, they've been waiting for their

00:06:19.140 moment to secede. They've looked forward to the day when they can openly declare their disdain for this

00:06:24.580 country and then try to burn it down. Over the weekend, that moment came. With the full endorsement

00:06:30.760 of the political leaders of Los Angeles, rioters attacked federal law enforcement officials, besieged

00:06:36.200 federal government buildings, vandalized stores, torched vehicles. And as they did so, these rioters did not

00:06:42.060 leave any room for interpretation about their motivation. Here's a photograph from Reuters that sums up the

00:06:47.240 situation about as well as any photograph possibly can. And you can see it there. There's thick smoke

00:06:53.680 from a car that these people set on fire. The police are keeping their distance. And in the foreground,

00:07:01.200 a masked rioter on a motorcycle is waving the Mexican flag. And there are many more photographs like this.

00:07:08.180 Here's another one that's making the rounds. Looking at images like this, a lot of people have expressed

00:07:14.180 confusion on social media because they're wondering, well, if these people love Mexico so much to the

00:07:19.800 point that they're going to wave the Mexican flag as they besiege a foreign country, why don't they 1.00

00:07:24.800 just go back to Mexico? Why are they violently resisting any attempt by the Trump administration

00:07:29.900 to return them to the homeland that they're supposedly so proud of? Doesn't appear to make a lot of sense.

00:07:37.000 And on one level, you know, the answer seems obvious. These people don't want to go back to Mexico

00:07:42.160 because they destroyed it. That's apparently what they're capable of doing, destroying things.

00:07:47.760 To be sure, we're constantly told about all the wondrous benefits that hardworking Mexicans bring to our

00:07:52.140 country. And yet, Mexico, with all of its Mexicans, is a dysfunctional hellhole that Mexicans desperately 1.00

00:08:01.280 want to escape. So something isn't quite adding up here. And indeed, if you take a look at some of the 0.98

00:08:05.960 footage from these protests, you see very clearly that these people are wantonly destroying everything they

00:08:11.180 can get their hands on. They've even torched self-driving Waymo vehicles for no discernible

00:08:15.640 reason. The journalist Cam Higbee with Today's America captured the first video that we'll play

00:08:21.260 for you here while Anthony Cabasa recorded the second. Watch.

00:08:25.580 Watch.

00:08:26.820 Watch.

00:08:31.780 I'm sorry.

00:08:31.960 What – what nutzen say.

00:08:34.400 I'm sorry. 0.57

00:08:41.740 I'll strike.

00:08:42.160 I'm sorry for the rest of it.

00:08:45.040 Wait, what?

00:08:48.920 Let me get off the—

00:08:49.520 We're good!

00:08:49.960 We're good.

00:08:50.540 Win it, win it, win it.

00:08:51.040 Welcome.

00:08:52.020 ...

00:08:53.140 We're looking live at some of these Waymos that are on fire at the moment.

00:09:11.080 And as Kyung noted, this has taken a turn since she's been out there over the last several hours

00:09:17.280 when she saw a different type of protester that was there in a more peaceful way.

00:09:23.000 A lot of people, things have turned far more destructive and violent.

00:09:28.060 Now, as you watch these obese foreigners randomly destroying property, 1.00

00:09:32.640 you might conclude that they're simply mindless agents of destruction. 0.96

00:09:35.600 They go from country to country demanding handouts and wrecking everything they touch.

00:09:39.760 And that's true to an extent.

00:09:41.260 At the same time, these rioters are obviously acting as foot soldiers of much more powerful forces.

00:09:45.780 They're not looting small businesses and setting self-driving Waymo cars on fire

00:09:49.860 because they're protesting immigration enforcement.

00:09:52.260 Nobody really believes that.

00:09:54.040 They're committing these crimes as part of a larger agenda.

00:09:57.320 And it's not hard to see what that agenda is.

00:09:59.840 Their leaders in this country and in Mexico are telling them to destabilize and ultimately destroy the U.S.

00:10:07.320 And the foot soldiers are obeying those orders.

00:10:10.100 That's the same reason left-wing militants, including Antifa, are joining in these riots.

00:10:13.820 In many ways, what we're seeing in Los Angeles amounts to state-sponsored terrorism.

00:10:18.380 And put aside what Democrats are saying, we'll get to that in a second,

00:10:21.440 we can't overlook the fact that the president of Mexico, Claudia Scheinbaum, 0.99

00:10:25.980 recently encouraged Mexicans to take to the streets in the U.S.

00:10:30.180 Scheinbaum reportedly threatened, quote,

00:10:32.140 if necessary, we'll mobilize.

00:10:33.800 We don't want taxes on remittances from our fellow countrymen, close quote.

00:10:37.080 So that's just a few days ago.

00:10:39.180 The president of Mexico said that, quote,

00:10:41.300 we will mobilize in order to punish the U.S.

00:10:44.300 She was responding to the bill in Congress that would tax all money sent to Mexico to the tune of 3%,

00:10:49.280 which is an important provision because it discourages Mexicans from coming to this country to secure jobs 1.00

00:10:54.700 and then funneling the money out of our economy.

00:10:58.100 But the Mexican president isn't happy about that.

00:11:00.860 Therefore, she called for direct action in a foreign country,

00:11:04.200 which sounds a lot like an act of war.

00:11:07.360 And right on cue, as part of her instructions,

00:11:09.140 foreign nationals, along with Antifa, are indeed mobilizing in Los Angeles.

00:11:14.680 According to the chief of police, in many cases,

00:11:16.200 they're using commercial-grade fireworks to attack police officers,

00:11:19.120 which can easily, obviously, cause a serious injury or death.

00:11:23.720 Here's one of those attacks, which was shot by Higby.

00:11:26.440 Watch.

00:11:34.200 Beyond torching Waymo's and attacking police officers,

00:11:38.300 the rioters have destroyed several police vehicles.

00:11:40.680 They set fire to small businesses,

00:11:42.840 blocked the freeway, trapping hundreds of people in the process.

00:11:46.160 The authorities say that one person was arrested for throwing a Molotov cocktail at officers,

00:11:50.220 while another was arrested after ramming an officer with a motorcycle.

00:11:54.280 Here's just a sampling of some of the violence.

00:11:57.100 Watch.

00:11:57.440 Watch.

00:11:57.520 Watch.

00:11:58.020 Watch.

00:12:31.800 Watch.

00:12:32.300 Watch.

00:12:32.440 Watch.

00:12:33.140 Watch.

00:12:33.200 Watch.

00:12:33.640 There's a lot more where this came from.

00:12:53.660 Other footage shows rioters burning and spitting on American flags.

00:12:56.720 They're also setting fires in the middle of the street by City Hall and breaking the windows at LAPD headquarters

00:13:01.920 without any officers even attempting to stop them.

00:13:04.620 To be very clear about this, these demonstrators are ostensibly protesting because, as part of their raids in Los Angeles,

00:13:10.280 ICE removed criminals who have no right to be in this country.

00:13:13.140 And in many cases, they're obviously horrible people who belong in prison for the rest of their lives, never mind being deported.

00:13:18.860 For example, Fox reported that, quote,

00:13:20.720 DHS confirms that a Vietnamese illegal alien ICE arrested in L.A. operation yesterday is a convicted murderer and gang member

00:13:27.620 who was involved in shooting up a high school graduation party in San Marino.

00:13:31.920 In 1994, killing two teenagers and injuring seven others.

00:13:36.120 They also arrested multiple sex offenders, drug traffickers, so on.

00:13:40.480 In other words, as always, the left is committing acts of terrorism because other terrorists are being taken off the street.

00:13:46.260 In every case, you know, that's why they riot.

00:13:48.560 And the left got away with doing this back in 2020.

00:13:52.260 They were able to take over the freeways and set fire to federal buildings all over the country

00:13:55.920 on behalf of professional degenerates like George Floyd and Jacob Blake.

00:14:00.500 That's precisely what's happening again.

00:14:03.100 They don't believe there will be any consequence for rioting because they've never experienced any consequences before. 0.81

00:14:08.360 And the only solution, of course, is to treat them like the terrorists they are.

00:14:12.200 Use overwhelming force to put down the riots.

00:14:15.480 Charge and convict the rioters.

00:14:17.440 Send them to prison for years.

00:14:19.420 Not days or months, but years.

00:14:22.220 Ruin their lives.

00:14:23.300 Show no mercy.

00:14:24.100 Make an example of them.

00:14:25.140 This is how you maintain a just and orderly society.

00:14:29.060 The other option is anarchy.

00:14:31.340 And it's only a matter of time before a lot of people die as a result.

00:14:35.180 After all, at the moment, these terrorists are being allowed to commit attempted murder in broad daylight.

00:14:40.540 Watch.

00:14:46.660 Watch out with the fire.

00:14:48.460 Yeah, buddy.

00:14:49.100 So much.

00:14:49.460 So much.

00:14:49.720 Go, go, go, go.

00:14:57.980 Goffs, goffs 1.00

00:15:24.460 It's gonna be all very good

00:15:27.980 There is no reason why those federal agents could not have responded with lethal force in this scenario.

00:15:33.540 He's throwing rocks at fast moving vehicles.

00:15:35.800 That's the definition of attempted murder.

00:15:37.920 If you want to control this violent mob, all it takes is for one of these people to suffer immediate consequences.

00:15:43.840 But that never happens.

00:15:45.420 They don't suffer immediate consequences.

00:15:47.060 They don't even suffer consequences, you know, after the fact.

00:15:51.400 So they keep doing it just like they did five years ago.

00:15:54.460 And just in case you thought the parallels to 2020 weren't explicit enough, here's another one.

00:15:58.680 You might remember this image from 2020 as the buildings are being burned behind the CNN reporter.

00:16:05.340 And the text at the bottom of the screen infamously describes the riots as fiery but mostly peaceful as everything is being torched in the background.

00:16:12.960 It instantly became an iconic image for obvious reasons.

00:16:15.920 And now Democrats are bringing it back.

00:16:17.360 The other day, a Democrat congresswoman appeared on CNN to declare that the L.A. riots are mostly peaceful, even as CNN showed footage of burning cars on the screen.

00:16:27.240 So they're doing this again.

00:16:28.800 Watch.

00:16:30.100 We are having an administration that's targeting peaceful protests, people that are there to protest.

00:16:35.940 The president is sending the National Guard because he doesn't like the scenes.

00:16:39.460 He doesn't like the scenes of people peacefully protesting.

00:16:42.460 Yes, according to Congresswoman Nanette Diaz-Barragan, the riots are totally fine and peaceful.

00:16:49.060 There's nothing to see here.

00:16:49.940 Pay no attention to the burning vehicles on your screen as she says that.

00:16:54.140 Meanwhile, the sheriff of Los Angeles County, a guy named Robert Luna, is saying the same thing.

00:16:58.960 He's pledging not to assist the federal government as it attempts to enforce immigration law.

00:17:03.340 Now, if you're noticing something of a pattern here, powerful political figures with Hispanic last names are telling you to shut up and enjoy the riots.

00:17:11.700 In fact, in some cases, we're being told that quite literally.

00:17:16.500 An ABC reporter just gave us a quote that may prove to be more infamous and iconic than the fiery but mostly peaceful line from CNN.

00:17:25.860 Listen to how this guy characterized the scene.

00:17:28.960 Listen.

00:17:29.080 It could turn very volatile if you move law enforcement in there in the wrong way and turn what is just a bunch of people having fun watching cars burn into a massive confrontation and altercation between officers and demonstrators.

00:17:45.720 Yeah, it's not a riot.

00:17:47.820 It's just a group of people having fun watching cars burn.

00:17:51.900 That's the analysis from the media as political leaders continue to openly encourage the rioting as well.

00:17:58.960 Watch as one California lawmaker named Eunice Hernandez explains that the rioters are going to continue to escalate their tactics against law enforcement.

00:18:09.520 Listen.

00:18:09.640 They know how quickly we mobilize.

00:18:13.200 That's why they're changing tactics, because community defense works and our resistance has slowed them down before.

00:18:18.540 And if they're escalating their tactics, then so are we.

00:18:21.860 When they show up, we got to show up even stronger.

00:18:28.300 Yeah, it's just a casual threat of insurrection from yet another elected official.

00:18:35.520 Maybe you're starting to see the issue.

00:18:37.600 All of these California politicians and officials with foreign last names were born in this country for the most part.

00:18:44.580 They were raised by foreigners as first generation Americans.

00:18:47.860 And they are, therefore, impossible to lawfully deport at the moment.

00:18:52.680 But they clearly don't share any American values at all.

00:18:57.040 They don't respect the rule of law.

00:18:58.580 They despise this country.

00:18:59.880 They openly encourage rioters to destroy it.

00:19:02.400 They're not loyal to America.

00:19:04.560 Instead, their loyalty lies with the country that their parents and grandparents escaped.

00:19:08.940 This is the natural end result of amnesty and birthright citizenship.

00:19:13.360 The goal of the Democratic Party going back several decades has been to flood the country with people like this.

00:19:18.140 Inevitably, they'll have children who can't be deported.

00:19:20.180 And in the meantime, all of these illegal aliens will continue to contribute to Democrats' numbers in the census, which is why California has so many seats in Congress. 0.65

00:19:29.640 It's no accident that 40 years after Reagan's amnesty, Democrats are continuing to demand the same thing.

00:19:34.860 They want citizenship for as many of these aliens as possible.

00:19:38.500 Here's Maxine Waters from just the other day.

00:19:40.520 We have people who are immigrants here who are trying to seek a better living, who have come from places where they have experienced this kind of thing that he's doing here today.

00:19:53.580 People who work every day, people who are paying taxes, who are raising their families, who are supporting education, they should not be treated this way.

00:20:02.620 They should be given an opportunity to tell their story, whom they are, and why they're here, and ask the United States to please do what the Constitution allows us to do, and that is give them consideration for having citizenship here.

00:20:18.160 So the promise has always been the same.

00:20:22.040 Amnesty, they tell us, will result in stability and assimilation, but the opposite has been true.

00:20:27.920 Amnesty just codified and legitimizes the invasion while creating a permanent class of people who hate this country and are emboldened to act on that hatred.

00:20:36.900 And it's on full display right now in Los Angeles.

00:20:38.760 It's also on display in places like Houston and New York, which have seen similar demonstrations in recent days.

00:20:43.700 It's on display in Minnesota, too, where there's just been yet another shooting involving Somalis, one of whom has been arrested.

00:20:53.300 This is the third violent episode to unfold at a Minneapolis-area high school involving Somalis just this year. 1.00

00:21:00.440 It's almost as if the reason these foreign countries are hellholes is that the people living inside them are often violent and incapable of self-governance or obeying laws or exercising any amount of restraint or personal responsibility. 1.00

00:21:12.520 And then they come here and continue engaging in the same kind of behavior that destroyed their homes.

00:21:17.600 I mean, it's almost like that.

00:21:19.700 With the ongoing riots and widespread destruction in Los Angeles, once again, this pattern is abundantly clear.

00:21:25.280 The Trump administration has already sent in the National Guard with the Marines potentially on their way as well.

00:21:29.740 These are moves that suggest the White House won't repeat the mistakes of 2020, where the left was allowed to demolish entire city blocks and torch federal buildings with impunity.

00:21:37.800 And even the LAPD chief of police late last night suggested the National Guard was necessary because of the escalation of violence.

00:21:45.380 But at the moment, if we're being honest, the National Guard doesn't seem to be doing much of anything.

00:21:49.660 We certainly aren't seeing anything approaching the level of overwhelming force that is required.

00:21:54.840 Apparently, they're still in transit or something.

00:21:56.880 I have no idea why transit would take this long unless they're arriving by railway like it's the 19th century or something.

00:22:01.940 But in any event, the way forward is clear.

00:22:05.180 Any illegal foreign invader involved in a riot should be shipped immediately to Guantanamo Bay.

00:22:12.000 Any illegal foreign invader not involved in a riot should be shipped immediately to whatever country they came from. 0.58

00:22:18.680 All illegal foreign invaders must be rounded up and removed from the country one way or another. 1.00

00:22:24.640 We know the FBI is capable of finding these people because they tracked down every grandmother who dared to walk near the Capitol building on January 6th.

00:22:32.520 Now they need to use those resources to get these foreign criminals out of the country. 1.00

00:22:37.700 That's what most Americans wanted back in 1984, even though they didn't get it.

00:22:41.980 It's what most Americans want today, which is why Donald Trump just won the last election.

00:22:46.960 If the United States of America is going to remain an independent country, if it's going to defeat this open revolt,

00:22:51.960 then the Trump administration has no choice but to give us exactly what we voted for.

00:22:59.040 Now let's get to our five headlines.

00:24:32.840 Thank you, Mayflower Cigars, for supporting today's episode.

00:24:36.300 Okay.

00:24:36.700 By the way, before we move on, while we're on the subject of Mexico, I tweeted something over the weekend that people aren't happy about,

00:24:46.320 but I stand by it.

00:24:47.960 Not the most important aspect of this immigration discussion, but it does need to be said, I think,

00:24:52.260 which is that, you know, it's, it's, I mean, it's time to be honest about, about some things, about everything.

00:25:00.040 And one of those things is that Mexican food is the most overrated cuisine on the planet.

00:25:06.240 And I was thinking about it because this is, you know, whenever this, the topic of, uh, immigration deportations comes up,

00:25:12.820 we're always, you always hear the leftists that say, okay, we'll say goodbye to all your precious tacos.

00:25:19.480 Which, first of all, if that's like the main thing that you're claiming we'll be deprived of,

00:25:24.960 if we don't have all of this Mexican, uh, immigration, then that's, that's, that's kind of making our point for us, isn't it? 0.97

00:25:31.780 Uh, and secondly, you know, the recipes are all on Google now, so we don't, we could still make a taco.

00:25:39.540 You don't need, it's like, if there are, if we don't have, um, you know, 20 million illegal, uh, Mexicans in the country, 0.99

00:25:46.060 then it's impossible to make a taco.

00:25:48.860 Uh, but aside from all that, it's just, it's actually an overrated cuisine.

00:25:52.640 I'm not saying it's bad, but it's overrated.

00:25:54.320 Like there's no variety.

00:25:55.440 It's redundant.

00:25:56.380 Uh, all, all Mexican food is just tacos, tacos in different forms.

00:26:01.540 That's every Mexican, every Mexican dish is just a different variation of a taco.

00:26:07.280 It's all just a tortilla and meat assembled in different ways.

00:26:10.380 So you can have a tortilla folded around the meat.

00:26:13.260 That's a taco.

00:26:14.000 You can have one wrapped around the meat.

00:26:16.360 That's a burrito.

00:26:17.180 You can put it in the oven.

00:26:18.420 Then it's an enchilada.

00:26:19.420 You can lay two flat on top of each other.

00:26:21.440 Then it's a quesadilla and so on and so on.

00:26:23.860 So it's all the same dish.

00:26:24.660 And what's more, and here's the part that people treat as super controversial, even though it shouldn't be.

00:26:29.960 But here's the truth.

00:26:31.920 Authentic Mexican food is worse than the Americanized versions.

00:26:40.300 American Mexican food is better.

00:26:42.460 Americans do Mexican food better.

00:26:43.960 They just do.

00:26:44.940 Authentic Mexican is kind of one note.

00:26:47.400 It's sort of bland compared to the Americanized forms of it.

00:26:49.880 The best tacos you'll ever have are in America.

00:26:53.300 The best guacamole is in America.

00:26:55.720 Americans are better at making Mexican food. 0.98

00:26:57.560 They just are.

00:26:58.060 You know, this is this is very common, by the way.

00:27:00.940 The Americanized version of third world cuisine is almost always better than the authentic versions.

00:27:07.440 Safer, too.

00:27:08.320 You know, there's a lot less E. coli to worry about because people, they fetishize, you know, authentic cuisine.

00:27:13.540 But if you go down to Mexico and you have a taco, you'll discover that it's just meat, a corn tortilla and lime juice.

00:27:20.480 That's all it is.

00:27:21.340 It's not people act like, you know, it's mind blowing.

00:27:25.000 You don't know what it's like.

00:27:26.020 You have a taco in Mexico.

00:27:27.160 It's like, OK, well, this, this is it.

00:27:29.660 I like we could ease.

00:27:31.760 The only reason we don't have it this way in America is because we want more than this.

00:27:35.120 This is not this.

00:27:36.120 It's better.

00:27:36.860 We do more with it.

00:27:39.620 But people, this is what they do.

00:27:41.000 They like to.

00:27:42.060 It's not even just with foreign countries, but everybody.

00:27:43.940 It's like anyone who's been to, you know, been to New York will claim that, oh, well, you don't know what pizza is like until you've been to New York.

00:27:53.820 It's like, no, well, anywhere can make pizza.

00:27:55.980 OK, like this anywhere, any anyone anywhere can make all this stuff.

00:28:01.880 You don't need to be in the place.

00:28:03.340 But it's especially the case with with Mexico.

00:28:07.420 You if you live in a city or near a city, then there are probably like 20 restaurants within a 10 mile radius that make tacos better than what you'll find in Mexico.

00:28:23.060 OK, that's just that's that's the fact of the matter.

00:28:26.100 Tex-Mex, far superior variation of Mexican food.

00:28:29.960 Fajitas.

00:28:30.740 Everyone knows you go to a Mexican restaurant.

00:28:33.020 What's the best thing on the menu is the fajita.

00:28:35.140 If you don't get the fajita, you're going to be jealous of the guy at the table who does get them when they and they bring the sizzling thing out.

00:28:41.600 And you're going to be looking at your enchiladas and you're going to think there's something like I should have gotten that text.

00:28:46.260 But that's fajitas.

00:28:47.160 That's American.

00:28:48.200 That's a Tex-Mex.

00:28:48.960 That's not that's not Mexican. 0.98

00:28:51.300 So that's also an important part of this whole discussion.

00:28:54.060 Just to be clear.

00:28:55.320 All right.

00:28:55.580 I had planned to open the show with the Trump Elon feud because I still haven't had a chance to talk about it.

00:29:03.480 It all kind of broke open on Thursday, I guess.

00:29:07.440 But now it feels like all that happened five years ago.

00:29:10.540 Things have de-escalated.

00:29:11.940 Musk deleted some of his anti-Trump tweets.

00:29:15.000 And Trump on Saturday was was asked about this whole thing.

00:29:19.380 And here's what he had to say about it.

00:29:22.100 Watch.

00:29:22.300 So what's your view on Elon Musk as of today?

00:29:25.680 I mean, have you heard from him at all?

00:29:27.620 Honestly, I've been so busy working on China, working on Russia, working on Iran, working on so many.

00:29:33.320 I'm not thinking about him.

00:29:34.720 On the China.

00:29:35.620 I just wish him well.

00:29:37.260 So Trump chose not to go nuclear against Elon, even as Elon was at one point claiming that Trump is incriminated in the Epstein files.

00:29:46.320 And we'll get back to that in a moment.

00:29:49.060 But.

00:29:50.500 I will say that I'm glad that Trump chose not to engage or at least not to engage much by his standards, because.

00:29:56.500 The other big news story this weekend, the one that ended up supplanting this Trump Elon stuff.

00:30:01.840 When we opened the show with demonstrates why we cannot afford this kind of feuding and fighting on the right.

00:30:07.480 We're dealing with an invasion.

00:30:08.760 We're fighting people on the left to resort to any means necessary to destroy and remake this country in their own image.

00:30:15.840 And that's what matters.

00:30:17.620 And we need to be aligned in this battle, which is which is the only battle that matters.

00:30:21.740 We don't have to all be friends.

00:30:23.660 We don't have to like each other.

00:30:26.000 But we do have to put our petty squabbles and personal beefs and and personal slights to the side.

00:30:32.860 And believe me, there are plenty of people on the right.

00:30:38.420 Who I don't like.

00:30:39.640 I mean, there are plenty of people on the right who I who I could, I think, reasonably claim have, you know, have stabbed me in the back or wronged me in various ways.

00:30:51.760 But I let almost all of that go.

00:30:55.840 And I never fight those battles in public.

00:30:57.780 I'll only argue with somebody on the right in public if they attack me first in public.

00:31:01.820 And then I feel like I need to defend myself in the arena that they have chosen.

00:31:05.320 Even then, a lot of the times I won't respond, but sometimes I will if I feel like I need to.

00:31:12.760 But I will never choose that arena to fight somebody on the right.

00:31:16.100 Now, 10 years ago, I used to see it differently.

00:31:19.020 I used to fight with my own side all the time.

00:31:22.000 But in recent years, I pulled back from that almost entirely because we just can't afford it.

00:31:26.300 We just can't.

00:31:27.740 And we especially can't afford to have the two most famous and powerful people on the right in a public feud.

00:31:36.820 And granted, it was it was inevitable that the marriage wouldn't last.

00:31:40.440 I mean, for the same reason.

00:31:42.360 It's like you can't put two alpha silverback gorillas in the same cage together. 1.00

00:31:47.400 They're they're not going to get along for very long.

00:31:51.440 And and it's the same thing here.

00:31:53.500 Elon and Trump are two very famous, very powerful, very wealthy people who are don't like being told no, are not used to being told no.

00:32:03.520 And it was just inevitable that their friendship would become strained and eventually break.

00:32:09.440 And that's fine.

00:32:11.380 You know, they don't have to be friends, but we can't have public fighting, which which is why, again, I'm glad that Trump chose not to engage for the most part.

00:32:18.160 He posted a few things, I guess, on Thursday on Truth Social.

00:32:20.940 But he didn't go all in.

00:32:22.320 He didn't launch he didn't launch the nukes, you know, so to speak.

00:32:25.860 And and I'm grateful for that.

00:32:28.760 And of course, as mentioned, the most vicious blow in the fight came from Elon when he said that Trump has not released the Epstein files because he's in them.

00:32:36.400 And Elon has since deleted that tweet, I believe, although doesn't really accomplish much when you delete a tweet that's already been viewed like 100 million times.

00:32:46.120 But it seems like he's not going to pursue that accusation much further, which is good because it's certainly nonsense.

00:32:54.240 I mean, is Trump in the Epstein files?

00:32:56.420 Well, it depends on what you mean by in them.

00:32:58.460 We already knew that Trump knew Epstein, had an association with him at some point in the distant past.

00:33:04.140 That's not news.

00:33:05.120 We've known that.

00:33:06.400 Um, but it doesn't mean that Trump did anything illegal or inappropriate.

00:33:10.960 But the obvious implication of Elon's tweets is that Trump is incriminated in the files, that there's evidence of him doing something horrible.

00:33:18.760 And that obviously is not true.

00:33:21.560 Like even before the tweet was deleted and there seemed to be a bit of a backtrack, it was clear to me that it wasn't true because it included a lot of people because a lot of people made the same point.

00:33:33.080 Which is that in order for that to be true, it would mean that the Biden administration and the intelligence agencies had this damning evidence against Trump for years and chose not to release it.

00:33:46.780 It would mean that they were trying for years to devise any possible way to stop Trump from from being reelected.

00:33:55.960 And yet they chose not to use the one thing that would have been sure to destroy Trump, the one thing that could have actually landed him in prison.

00:34:05.800 They chose not to use.

00:34:06.920 And that just makes no sense.

00:34:08.380 I mean, it's total nonsense.

00:34:09.460 Now, what I've heard in response to this point is that, well, maybe the Dems did have this incriminating stuff about Trump, but they couldn't release it because they are also in the files and they didn't want to burn themselves in the process.

00:34:24.140 But that's also nonsense.

00:34:26.200 I mean, I don't doubt that they're in the files, but it's like, OK, so you're saying they they couldn't have and wouldn't have just released the stuff that involves Trump while redacting or destroying the other stuff?

00:34:40.060 As if the intelligence agencies that spent a decade trying to destroy Trump couldn't figure out a way to release the stuff in the file that implicated Trump without also releasing all the other stuff.

00:34:51.340 It's just it's absurd.

00:34:54.500 I mean, what even is the claim here that Trump's enemies thought it would be what poor sportsmanship to release his part of the Epstein files without releasing all the rest of it?

00:35:04.600 As if the file is like one indivisible organism that it's like if you put out part of it, you got to put out the whole thing.

00:35:11.900 It's just it doesn't make any sense.

00:35:13.760 What would have happened if Trump was actually in the Epstein files in the sense of being incriminated in them is that the only surviving parts of the files would be the parts that have Trump in them and the rest of it would never see the light of day.

00:35:28.080 But there are no parts with Trump, and that's why we never saw it.

00:35:32.820 And Trump is the most vetted, most scrutinized, most transparent politician in American history.

00:35:37.680 But even if you don't like him, you have to admit that we know everything.

00:35:40.400 We know everything we need to know about him and a lot of stuff we don't need to know.

00:35:46.160 So there's just no way that this detail somehow never made it into the light.

00:35:49.840 But it seems that Elon has stepped back from that claim anyway, and I hope that their differences stay private from here on out, because that's the only way forward, especially with everything we see going on right now in the news.

00:36:07.640 All right. I want to mention this to Daily Wire reports.

00:36:12.500 Prosecutors say Luigi Mangione kept diaries chronicling in chilling detail his plans to assassinate UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson and revealing he backed off of a mass casualty attack that he had initially conceived.

00:36:26.140 The self-proclaimed anti-capitalist wrote in his manifesto that he chose to whack the CEO rather than bomb the UnitedHealthcare headquarters because he believed it would generate better headlines and be less likely to be deemed terrorism.

00:36:37.640 Mangione allegedly wrote in a red spiral notebook, quote,

00:36:41.580 So say you want to rebel against the deadly greed-fueled health insurance cartel. Do you bomb the HQ? No. Bombs equal terrorism.

00:36:52.200 Manhattan prosecutors are confident that this is open and shut case, pointing to evidence continuing to pile up, indicating that Mangione's goal was to send a message.

00:36:59.000 And part of the diary that has been previously released, Mangione reasoned that someone would whack the CEO at the annual parasitic bean counter convention.

00:37:08.460 It's targeted and precise and doesn't risk innocence.

00:37:11.260 The University of Pennsylvania graduate justified targeting insurance providers because they literally extract human life force for money.

00:37:22.220 The point is made in the news headlines, insurance CEO killed an annual investors conference. 0.99

00:37:27.020 It conveys a greedy bastard that had it coming. 0.96

00:37:29.300 And the report goes on about how Mangione was very concerned about how the, quote unquote, normies would respond to his, to his attack. 0.99

00:37:39.880 And he wanted to, he wanted, he knew he wanted to kill people and he wanted to engage in this act of terrorism,

00:37:46.160 but he wanted to do it in a way that would manipulate the feelings of the, quote unquote, normies.

00:37:51.480 And, uh, unfortunately he was successful.

00:37:59.460 That's the unfortunate part of it.

00:38:01.740 And I think it's, and that's the update on the, uh, the Mangione case.

00:38:05.100 It goes to, it's the, uh, his first court appearances in, uh, in a couple of weeks on June 26th.

00:38:11.580 I think it's important to bring this up now in light of the situation in California.

00:38:15.400 And I'm going to keep bringing it up as the, as, as, as, as this continues, because I know there are a lot of people on the right who would like to pretend that they never cheered this scumbag on or expressed any sympathy with it, with him.

00:38:33.380 But if you're in that group, uh, I'm not gonna let you forget it so easily because there's an important lesson that needs to be learned here.

00:38:41.460 And yeah, I might be a little resentful.

00:38:44.840 I mean, I, I was ripped to shreds six months ago by a lot of self-professed conservatives and even some, quote unquote, long time fans, um, who probably weren't that, but we're claiming it anyway, uh, because I didn't defend Mangione.

00:39:00.100 And I found that pretty annoying.

00:39:03.960 And it's even more annoying that those people are pretending that it never happened.

00:39:08.280 So I have to admit that there's a little bit of maybe a resentment there.

00:39:11.720 I mean, it was the most insane backlash I've ever experienced in my career.

00:39:15.040 I've gotten a lot of backlash.

00:39:16.160 This was the craziest because people were angry at me for being opposed to first degree murder.

00:39:23.540 I mean, total madness, but that's not the, that's not the main thing.

00:39:28.960 The main thing is that we have to, we have to take the right lessons from this.

00:39:33.580 And this is why you don't join forces with the left and cheer on a murderer, because when you do that, you give them moral license to do exactly what they're doing in Los Angeles right now, or what they did during the summer of love in 2020, or, or dozens of other examples of politically motivated violence.

00:39:52.800 After all, the whole argument in defense of Mangione wasn't that he, he's innocent of, of being a murderer.

00:40:01.780 It's that, yes, he's obviously guilty, but it was for a good cause.

00:40:06.620 It was first degree murder for a good cause, allegedly.

00:40:09.640 While a first degree murder can be justified for a good cause, then any kind of violence can be justified for a cause that certain groups deem to be good.

00:40:21.860 Rioting can certainly be justified. 1.00

00:40:24.520 Yeah, because the Mangione case was, was never about healthcare. 0.99

00:40:29.020 I mean, you got idiots who tried to make it about healthcare, but that was never the point. 0.84

00:40:32.320 Um, you know, I didn't take a position against Mangione killing Brian Thompson, because I think that healthcare practices in this country are fair or always fair or always good. 0.99

00:40:46.040 No, the story is about law and order.

00:40:48.420 And as conservatives, we have to defend law and order.

00:40:51.360 That must be one of the most fundamental things that we are trying to conserve and preserve.

00:40:56.660 However, you can't have a civilization without law and order.

00:41:02.100 You can have a civilization with unfair healthcare policies or whatever.

00:41:06.080 That's not good.

00:41:07.400 I mean, it's something you want to try to fix.

00:41:09.080 I mean, it's never going to be perfect.

00:41:10.840 People have a far too simplistic view of healthcare. 0.99

00:41:14.760 Um, I think just demonizing the health insurance companies and leaving it at that is lazy and dumb. 0.68

00:41:23.100 Um, sure, the health insurance companies can do unfair things and there's nothing wrong with pointing that out, but it's not nearly as simple as people make it out to be. 0.96

00:41:30.680 Like, you know, acting like the health insurance companies are run by Darth Vader is, is silly.

00:41:36.020 And it precludes any kind of nuanced conversation where we figure out how to actually improve healthcare in this country, which is not, which is not simple.

00:41:44.960 It's like, it's a complicated thing to deal with.

00:41:48.540 And, um, there are a lot of variables that people just don't take into account.

00:41:51.840 But that's not what this story is about.

00:41:55.080 Again, it's about law and order, plain and simple.

00:41:59.460 I mean, I don't care how you feel about healthcare.

00:42:03.500 I don't care how you feel about health insurance companies.

00:42:07.520 We cannot have a society without law and order.

00:42:12.440 Healthcare policies are irrelevant without law and order.

00:42:16.340 You could have the greatest, most equitable health insurance plan in the world, and it will mean precisely nothing if a roving gang of thugs shoots you in the head and burns your house down.

00:42:25.760 What good is the healthcare policy going to do at that, at that point?

00:42:30.360 Healthcare is a downstream issue.

00:42:32.340 It's important, but it's not, it's not as fundamental as law and order.

00:42:36.700 Brian Thompson, the CEO of United Healthcare, um, I mean, maybe he was a bad guy.

00:42:46.800 I'm still not convinced of that.

00:42:48.100 I haven't seen evidence of, like, what, what was so terrible about this guy.

00:42:52.320 So, well, the only thing I've seen about him is that he was, you know, he was a husband and a father.

00:42:56.520 He was a CEO of a healthcare company.

00:42:58.220 I have not seen any evidence that anyone's presented that this guy was some sort of, like, horrible villain.

00:43:03.860 I have not seen that.

00:43:06.460 But even if he was, let's just pretend maybe he was Darth Vader.

00:43:09.160 Let's just, let's just, okay.

00:43:11.560 Well, he was not a threat to civilization.

00:43:14.240 Luigi Mangione is.

00:43:17.020 If you have enough Luigi Mangione's out there, you can't have a civilization anymore.

00:43:21.120 Civilization's done.

00:43:23.600 Okay?

00:43:24.140 I mean, it's that simple.

00:43:25.060 People who have no respect for the law will do whatever they want, think that they have a moral license to kill someone if they don't like them.

00:43:33.340 If you have enough people like that, civilization's gone.

00:43:37.040 That's it.

00:43:39.660 Um, you cannot pick and choose here.

00:43:42.560 Either you support and defend law and order or you don't.

00:43:46.760 And if you don't, then what you support instead is anarchy.

00:43:51.660 Because that's the only other option.

00:43:55.060 You support the death of civilization.

00:43:57.700 And if we are not trying to, at bottom, conserve civilization, then I don't, then I don't know what we're doing.

00:44:04.660 I don't know what we're fighting for exactly.

00:44:06.280 And we, we, you know, this latest example in Los Angeles should, it, this should not need to be a wake-up call for anyone.

00:44:17.340 We've seen repeatedly over the last five years, prior to Luigi Mangione, we've seen many examples of what happens when you don't have law and order, when you start taking the side of, of lawless thugs.

00:44:30.740 And yet, you still have people, ostensibly on the right, who made that mistake again.

00:44:39.080 Um, will that be the last time?

00:44:42.440 Probably not.

00:44:43.700 But we'll see.

00:46:27.680 Now let's get to our daily cancellation.

00:46:36.380 Olympic gymnast Simone Biles is a very gifted athlete, and she's also a bad person. 1.00

00:46:42.500 This is not the first time that we've seen those two qualities combined in a person.

00:46:46.460 LeBron James, another example, plenty of examples.

00:46:48.520 But Simone Biles is an especially egregious case.

00:46:51.660 The last time we heard from her, she was celebrating the first all-black podium at the Paris Olympics last year.

00:46:57.640 After black gymnasts took home the gold, silver, and bronze, Simone bragged about the fact that it was a podium without any white people. 0.98

00:47:03.520 So that was enough to tell us that, if we didn't already know, that she's a leftist clown. 0.96

00:47:08.240 And three years before that, she infamously quit on her team in the middle of the Tokyo Olympics, citing her need to work on her mental health. 0.99

00:47:14.040 And that was enough to tell us that she is a coward. 0.97

00:47:17.060 Finally this week, she put it all together, mixing her cowardice with her leftism and sprinkling a little bit of a mean girl nastiness on top. 0.98

00:47:24.100 Simone posted the following on X.

00:47:27.140 Quote,

00:47:27.420 Now to be clear, this was not a response to anything Riley Gaines had said to her.

00:47:55.520 This was a totally random, unprovoked attack.

00:47:58.560 And she followed it up three minutes later with this.

00:48:01.720 Bully someone your own size, which would ironically be a male. 0.93

00:48:06.000 Now, the great thing about this little jab is that it actually acknowledges the physical advantages that men have over women. 0.58

00:48:13.100 It's also intensely hypocritical, as this bit of body shaming is coming from a woman who spent the last 10 years promoting body positivity. 0.99

00:48:21.320 Here she is taking part in the Beauty is No Competition campaign.

00:48:25.920 You can see the inspirational poster right there.

00:48:29.000 And here she is talking about her own experiences being body shamed.

00:48:32.500 Listen.

00:48:33.320 The question I wish people would stop asking me is, how tall are you?

00:48:38.500 Are you going to grow?

00:48:40.460 I'm not going anywhere.

00:48:41.760 I'm 4'8".

00:48:42.420 I'm stuck.

00:48:43.200 I'm Simone Biles, and I love my body.

00:48:50.380 Because it helps with gymnastics, and it teaches younger girls to love their bodies as well. 0.88

00:48:55.860 I think I've learned to love my muscles a lot more than when I was younger.

00:48:59.840 I got made fun of for my arms a lot.

00:49:02.260 Some people would say, like, mean things.

00:49:04.120 They used to call me, like, a swoliger.

00:49:05.460 At the time, it didn't make me feel the best, so I wore sweaters or jackets all year long.

00:49:11.580 Now I show off my arms all the time.

00:49:13.880 To me, healthy body image is when you feel confident with yourself in and out.

00:49:20.680 So not only was Simone Biles body shamed, but she was shamed specifically for having a masculine physique. 1.00

00:49:26.420 And now she's lobbing that exact same insult at a woman who never said a critical thing about her. 0.65

00:49:31.320 But I think we know why she's treating Riley this way. 0.98

00:49:33.320 In fact, Simone Biles has a theory about what motivates people like Simone Biles. 0.75

00:49:38.720 To body shamers?

00:49:41.000 Let me see.

00:49:42.120 I feel like if you love your body, then that's all you can do.

00:49:45.840 So it doesn't matter what anybody else says.

00:49:48.180 So I think they have to learn to fall in love with themselves.

00:49:51.460 And I think it's out of jealousy sometimes.

00:49:54.600 Jealousy.

00:49:55.060 Yeah, that could be it.

00:49:55.740 Or perhaps she doesn't have access to a mirror, so she's not aware that she looks like this.

00:50:01.060 That could be a factor.

00:50:02.140 And for her part, you know, Riley did not respond in kind.

00:50:05.820 She did not come back and say something like, hey, Simone, don't go making fun of anyone's physique when you're built like Muggsy Bogues. 1.00

00:50:13.260 Riley did not say that.

00:50:14.860 And thank God, because that would be mean.

00:50:16.560 And I wouldn't condone it if she had said that.

00:50:18.800 I wouldn't say anything like that.

00:50:20.040 Instead, Riley left the insults to the side and addressed the issue at hand.

00:50:25.240 Watch.

00:50:25.500 Yesterday, Simone Biles, the Olympic gymnast, the best of the best, bar none.

00:50:30.400 There is no one else even remotely in her league in women's gymnastics.

00:50:34.580 I guess in an attempt to be inclusive and virtuous, decided to sell out all women and girls who have dreams to achieve and to succeed. 0.88

00:50:42.680 And to specifically, personally attack and body shame me.

00:50:47.160 She tweeted this out of the blue, like this came out of nowhere. 0.99

00:50:49.900 And she said, Riley, me, you're truly sick.

00:50:52.540 All of this campaigning because you lost a race.

00:50:54.760 First of all, if she's insinuating I lost to a man.

00:50:57.600 I've lost several races in my career.

00:50:59.580 Duh.

00:50:59.840 That's part of being an athlete.

00:51:00.720 But if she's saying I lost to a man, that's factually incorrect.

00:51:05.160 We tied.

00:51:05.940 Besides the point. 0.99

00:51:07.380 Straight up sore loser. 0.97

00:51:08.520 You should be uplifting the trans community and perhaps finding a way to make sports inclusive or creating a new avenue where trans feel safe in sports. 0.97

00:51:17.320 Let me get something straight.

00:51:18.780 It's my job.

00:51:19.600 It's the women's job. 1.00

00:51:20.660 This is what Simone Biles is saying.

00:51:22.040 It's the women's job to find a way for the men's feelings to be validated, for their identity to be affirmed.

00:51:31.080 That's not my job, actually, at all.

00:51:33.480 So to say I should be doing this is insane.

00:51:36.500 If she wants to use her platform to uplift men and women's sports, then by all means.

00:51:42.260 But it's certainly not my job.

00:51:43.600 And I don't believe it's the job of any woman to do this. 1.00

00:51:47.960 Now, she's exactly right, of course.

00:51:49.440 Simone doesn't even have the courage to advocate for her own position.

00:51:53.320 I mean, if she believes that there should be a separate category for trans people in all sports or there should be some other kind of inclusive arrangement worked out, she is free to champion that cause.

00:52:02.640 Instead, Simone Biles remains silent on the whole issue until this very moment.

00:52:07.840 And when she finally speaks out, it's to condemn someone else for not promoting her own point of view.

00:52:14.440 Simone says that Riley should uplift the trans community.

00:52:17.460 But why is that Riley's job, exactly?

00:52:19.920 I mean, if Simone thinks that the community should be uplifted, she could do that herself.

00:52:25.720 Simone is clearly on the pro-trans team, but too afraid to enter the arena, which isn't a surprise, obviously.

00:52:31.180 This woman is not a very reliable teammate, as we've seen.

00:52:34.080 So it's difficult, therefore, to respond to Simone's argument when she hasn't really made any argument.

00:52:39.180 Instead, she assigned arguments to Riley that she thinks Riley should make.

00:52:42.880 But if we were to overlook that complication and offer a rebuttal anyway, we might note a few problems with Simone's position or what appears to be, what we assume is her position.

00:52:54.440 First of all, a separate trans category in every sport, as Simone suggests, could only work if there were enough trans athletes in every sport to fill out their own league.

00:53:04.660 But the pro-trans side will be the first to insist that there aren't that many trans athletes.

00:53:09.380 In fact, they claim that there are hardly any at all.

00:53:12.000 They're lying.

00:53:12.560 I mean, there are a significant number of trans-identified athletes in certain sports, but definitely not enough to make a trans league for every sport.

00:53:20.700 And there's even less interest in watching or supporting a league like that.

00:53:25.180 Now, sure, maybe a certain amount of morbid curiosity would attract respectable ratings for opening day of the TLB, Trans League Baseball.

00:53:34.780 Or maybe we could just call it T-ball, which would work in more ways than one.

00:53:37.880 But in any case, there wouldn't be that many repeat customers after everyone gets their fill of the train wreck on day one.

00:53:44.360 Yet all of that is irrelevant.

00:53:46.600 You know, we don't need to create a separate category for trans-identified people, and we shouldn't.

00:53:51.340 That would be an attempt to solve a problem that does not exist.

00:53:54.700 There is no problem with the system of sex segregation in sports. 0.70

00:53:58.520 It works perfectly fine.

00:53:59.600 It worked for many decades without anybody complaining about it.

00:54:01.700 It serves a clear purpose by separating groups of people who are biologically distinct. 0.94

00:54:08.400 Simone is suggesting a separate category for people who are not biologically distinct from males, because they are males, but who feel like they're biologically distinct.

00:54:17.600 That makes as much sense as having a peewee soccer league for five- and six-year-olds, and then a separate league for people who feel like they're five or six.

00:54:25.140 You cannot build a sports league around self-perception, and there's no reason to try.

00:54:32.700 We don't need to devise some novel system to include trans-identified athletes.

00:54:36.640 They're already included.

00:54:38.440 They're free to compete in their biological category, same as anybody else.

00:54:42.300 The problem is that, despite Simone's insistence, they don't actually want inclusion.

00:54:46.360 They want privilege, and they can't have it.

00:54:50.000 Tough luck.

00:54:50.520 This conversation always comes back to the same fact, which is that men and women are women.

00:54:57.880 Men who feel like women are still men.

00:55:00.060 Men who claim to be women are still men. 0.77

00:55:02.840 What a man feels like or perceives himself to be is not our problem.

00:55:08.620 He can go on feeling however he wants to feel, but our policies and laws should reflect reality, not perception.

00:55:17.740 This is the point that Simone Biles can't contend with or refuses to, just like she refused to contend in the Tokyo Olympics. 0.99

00:55:25.860 And she made that choice to quit for the sake of her mental health, which she wanted to preserve.

00:55:33.820 But her tweets over the weekend show that her mental health preservation methods apparently didn't work. 0.99

00:55:39.280 But perhaps her issue is less a matter of mental health and more an issue of intellectual deficiency, whatever the reason.

00:55:44.700 She's completely and embarrassingly wrong, and she is also today canceled.

00:55:50.660 That'll do it for the show today.

00:55:51.600 Thanks for watching.

00:55:52.100 Thanks for listening.

00:55:52.700 Talk to you tomorrow.

00:55:53.620 Have a great day.

00:55:54.160 Godspeed.

00:55:55.860 Godspeed.
