00:02:09.700 If you were working for some shadowy left-wing nonprofit that receives large amounts of taxpayer money from untraceable sources and you had to come up with a slogan to capture the imagination of the modern left and kickstart a wave of national protests to undermine the Trump administration, it's a safe bet that the slogan, no kings, probably wouldn't occur to you.

00:02:35.340 You have to expect these people are going to start throwing boxes of tea into Boston Harbor.

00:02:39.660 For another, the slogan doesn't remotely capture what Democrats claim to be upset about.

00:02:46.700 They don't think we're suddenly about to transform into Cambodia or even worse, Canada.

00:02:51.660 They prefer, they actually prefer that outcome, actually.

00:02:54.280 These people crave authoritarianism, as we saw during the COVID lockdowns, the multiple criminal prosecutions that were brought against the leading presidential candidate, the mass censorship and surveillance they endorsed.

00:03:06.980 In reality, they're angry that we've adopted a system of government that has ensured that we haven't had a king for hundreds of years.

00:03:14.260 They're furious that this constitutional republic has produced a president they don't like, who's enforcing laws that they find inconvenience.

00:03:21.620 That's what they're actually rebelling against, the republic itself.

00:03:24.720 And yet, over the weekend, no king's protests were held throughout the country.

00:03:29.940 And at various points, as we'll discuss, they turned violent.

00:03:33.460 But first, from a strategic perspective, there are two elements of these riots that are worth talking about.

00:03:39.240 The first is that, as we've discussed before, the left has been searching desperately for an excuse to riot ever since Donald Trump won the election.

00:03:47.700 They've been looking to replace their BLM messaging with something else, and now they found it.

00:03:53.420 They don't care that the messaging makes no sense.

00:03:55.840 They're just happy they have an excuse to cause civil disturbance.

00:03:59.000 And the second important thing to keep in mind here is that these riots illustrate a growing divide among Democrats.

00:04:05.980 And this is a divide that's going to become very hard to reconcile going forward.

00:04:10.700 Because on the one hand, you have young people who want to transform this country at a fundamental level, putting it mildly.

00:04:15.680 On the other, you have Democrats who came of age during the administration of Lyndon Johnson or Gerald Ford.

00:04:22.440 These are people who, 20 years ago, were voting for Democrats like Bill Clinton, candidates who promised, dishonestly perhaps, but they did promise,

00:04:30.300 to secure the border and minimize abortion and uphold the meaning of marriage and balance the budget and all these kinds of things.

00:04:37.100 These radical right-wing agenda items.

00:04:40.680 Now, today, these same Democrats have stuck around, remaining loyal voters, even as their party has radically changed and, in some cases, at least in theory, reversed its priorities.

00:04:54.100 The most notable characteristic that these older voters share is that, thanks largely to the corporate press, they are very confused.

00:05:02.320 In their earlier years, they came to trust the media as a relatively fair and nonpartisan source of information.

00:05:10.460 And now that the corporate media is telling them that Trump is Hitler, they believe it, without any hesitation.

00:05:17.220 So here's just one example of many from this weekend's No King protests.

00:05:46.860 Now, as pathetic as this is to watch, it's hard to look at somebody like that and conclude that she actively wants to destroy the U.S. by replacing its native population and suspending law enforcement. 0.98

00:06:02.860 You know, it's, it's, you might want to look at that and say, oh, this is all an act.

00:06:07.120 This is a, this is, she's, this is a big, this is a, you know, she's pretending, she's acting.

00:06:12.100 But I don't think that's the case.

00:06:19.180 She actually believes this stuff because she believes what the media tells her.

00:06:23.500 She's been convinced that Trump is something he's not.

00:06:30.780 Many voters who are past retirement age, something like 60 million people fall into this category.

00:06:36.640 That's the demographic that the No Kings branding is really meant to appeal to.

00:06:40.860 And on that count, the branding was arguably a success.

00:06:44.120 Most of the people who showed up to these demonstrations were between the ages of 50 and 75.

00:06:48.580 To give another example, here's one scene from the Beverly Hills No Kings protest the other day.

00:06:53.980 An old man stops by a Trump-induced anxiety help stand and proceeds to verbally berate and physically abuse a small effigy of Donald Trump.

00:07:04.560 And as he slams the doll's head into a stool, his satisfaction becomes more and more evident.

00:07:08.760 So just watch this if you can bear the cringe.

00:07:12.760 He said, oh, we were just talking about this.

00:07:18.080 Oh, no, no, no, no, no, bad boy, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, no.

00:07:29.080 Pretty inspiring.

00:07:38.380 Truly, I have never seen someone so valiantly stand up against a doll.

00:07:44.300 The human characters in the Chucky films never showed an ounce of this courage and resolve.

00:07:48.260 If they had, the movies would have been a lot shorter.

00:07:50.540 The most fascinating thing about a clip like that, though, is to observe the nexus between corny and crazy.

00:07:58.220 And prior to the modern Democratic Party, I think most people assumed it's not really possible for a person to be both corny and crazy.

00:08:05.340 Those seem like either or personality types.

00:08:08.240 I mean, one of the benefits, at least, of being crazy is at least you're kind of interesting.

00:08:13.580 But these people are somehow, they found a way to do it.

00:08:17.340 But they're somehow extremely painfully corny and also clearly insane at the same time.

00:08:24.420 In any event, as insane as some elderly people behaved at these demonstrations, none of them were particularly threatening, unless you're a 12-inch doll.

00:08:33.100 Instead, they put on a very confusing display more than anything else.

00:08:36.880 In places like Pittsburgh and Fredericksburg, which you're seeing on the screen now, attendees were generally middle-aged or older.

00:08:43.760 They spent most of the time milling about, holding some signs, looking sort of disinterested.

00:08:49.120 This was not a young person's protest.

00:08:52.000 Like the Tesla takedown riots, which were organized, coincidentally enough, by the same exact left-wing nonprofits,

00:08:58.600 the No Kings events were intended to appeal to a faction of the Democratic Party that still pretends to care about the rule of law,

00:09:04.740 about our constitutional system of government, and so on and so on.

00:09:07.780 And they've been duped into thinking that the Democrat Party is also interested in all of that stuff.

00:09:13.940 Now, put aside the fact that nonprofits obviously should not be able to organize protests like this in the first place.

00:09:20.920 They're supposed to be non-political, but they're clearly organizing political rallies, which means they're not non-political.

00:09:26.260 Well, what's important to recognize here is that throughout the No Kings rallies over the weekend,

00:09:30.720 the older voters in the Democrat Party came face-to-face with younger Democrats.

00:09:36.300 And unlike the older generation, younger Democrats do not pretend to care about kings.

00:09:42.380 They are not shaking uncontrollably because MSNBC told them that Donald Trump will end our democracy or whatever.

00:09:49.020 They're simply intent on securing power for themselves and for their preferred demographic groups.

00:09:54.160 This is the dichotomy that now defines the Democrats.

00:09:58.040 The party is a coalition that's made up of two incompatible ideologies.

00:10:03.360 On one hand, you have the older Democrats who have been conned into thinking that Donald Trump represents a threat to the rule of law.

00:10:09.960 And then you have the younger Democrats, the future of the party, who explicitly oppose the existence of the rule of law.

00:10:18.320 They want to bring about chaos at every opportunity.

00:10:21.120 And over the weekend, that's exactly what they did.

00:10:22.820 In Salt Lake City, for example, the No Kings rally erupted into mayhem and violence.

00:10:28.700 And here's what that looked like.

00:10:35.440 Shots or fireworks, but...

00:10:40.700 Someone's saying that there's a guy with a gun.

00:10:46.620 Someone just got shot in Salt Lake City at the No Kings protest right there.

00:10:57.000 Dude, they're on major damage control right now.

00:10:59.580 Like 10 people saw a protest organizer in a yellow vest shoot someone.

00:11:03.920 And the organizers are in damage control running around saying that they're not affiliated with it.

00:11:12.580 We had some of our medics like 10 to him.

00:11:15.420 And then 20 minutes later, he's dead in the road.

00:11:19.080 It was a homeless guy?

00:11:20.240 No, it was literally a homeless guy.

00:11:21.540 That wasn't even one of ours.

00:11:22.600 Now, as tragic as this incident was, you can tell that on the bright side, at least some people involved in the protests finally got some exercise.

00:11:31.060 There's gunfire and then there's a lot of running.

00:11:33.220 And this is the kind of thing that didn't happen at the Tea Party rallies back in the day, if you remember.

00:11:37.280 But it's commonplace whenever there's a mass gathering on the left.

00:11:40.880 So how do they spin this one, you might ask?

00:11:42.840 Well, here's a report from the local news station, KUTV.

00:11:46.540 It says, quote, bystander unintentionally killed by alleged peacekeeper at Salt Lake City No Kings Day event, close quote.

00:11:56.320 So, yes, an alleged peacekeeper at the No Kings rally unintentionally killed an innocent bystander.

00:12:03.420 Now, if you're confused by that headline, you have good reason to be.

00:12:06.080 For one thing, once you shoot an innocent person, it's fair to say that you're not a peacekeeper, allegedly or otherwise.

00:12:13.140 Secondly, why do political rallies need peacekeepers exactly?

00:12:17.780 I mean, it evokes images of the United Nations peacekeeping forces patrolling in the third world.

00:12:22.880 You'd think there'd be no need for vigilantes to roam around in major cities in this country, especially if your city has a police force to begin with.

00:12:29.720 But as we all know, very few of these Democrat-run cities have functioning police forces anymore.

00:12:34.580 And therefore, by design, of course, that's the case.

00:12:37.360 And therefore, when violence erupted, a peacekeeper was on the scene.

00:12:41.040 And then the peacekeeper attempted to keep the peace, and he, I guess, missed his target.

00:12:46.900 So, who was this peacekeeper shooting at exactly?

00:12:49.840 Apparently, the peacekeeper was trying to take down a man named Arturo Gamboa, who had just allegedly killed someone.

00:12:57.280 As the Postmillennial reports, quote,

00:12:59.860 Arturo Gamboa, the man charged with murder after a deadly shooting at Salt Lake City's No Kings protest, appears to be a self-described anti-government radical who publicly supported Antifa, rejected the U.S. electoral system, and once said that justice should be taken by any means necessary.

00:13:14.700 Now, this is the kind of messaging that the boomers chanting No Kings and playing around with the Trump effigies probably aren't on board with, but it's the default position among many young leftists in many parts of the country.

00:13:29.960 And that's why Seattle, once again, has descended into anarchy over the weekend.

00:14:41.540 They also haven't said a word about the fact that Cam Higby, a journalist whose footage we've played a few times on the show, was just assaulted in Seattle by Antifa militants.
