00:04:09.260 drug trafficking is a crime, not an act of war.

00:04:12.200 Traffickers must be arrested, not summarily executed, which U.S. forces just illegally did.

00:04:17.400 And there were dozens more posts like this, all of them complaining about the destruction of a boat full of drug traffickers.

00:04:24.440 The Trump administration didn't respond to any of these people.

00:04:27.320 Instead, one by one, the official accounts of various officials and departments in the administration,

00:04:32.920 including Marco Rubio, Pete Hegseth, the rapid response team,

00:04:36.980 posted the footage of the boat exploding without apology.

00:04:40.720 The White House also posted memes like this one.

00:04:43.040 The caption reads, terrorists eliminated, adios.

00:04:48.040 Not exactly a subtle message.

00:04:50.540 But what makes it so effective is that, predictably, no one on the left has any idea how to respond.

00:04:56.900 Their default tactic, which is to stall, file frivolous lawsuits, wage large-scale propaganda campaigns,

00:05:05.660 So instead of accomplishing anything, they're stammering on the Internet about how it's supposedly a terrible thing

00:06:59.320 Now, just so you know, there's nothing, despite what you may have heard, there's nothing unprecedented about using the National Guard to establish order when local authorities prove unable or unwilling to do so.

00:07:10.560 You take the shooting at Kent State in 1970 during riots over the Vietnam War, for example.

00:07:15.480 Four college students were killed and nine were wounded by the National Guard.

00:07:18.940 And in many schools today, this episode is taught as the Kent State Massacre.

00:07:24.440 Pretty much every university in the country claims that this shooting was a clear example of brutality by the U.S. military.

00:07:29.840 But at the time, the public overwhelmingly supported the National Guard.

00:07:34.240 People understood that these students had been rioting and threatening people with deadly weapons for days.

00:07:39.160 They had burned down a building on campus.

00:07:41.480 They were unruly.

00:07:42.880 They were a clear threat to public safety.

00:07:44.880 They had cornered the National Guard troops and were advancing on them.

00:07:48.360 And, you know, that's what actually happened.

00:07:50.920 And in fact, as recently as two decades ago, Chicago's leaders were openly talking about bringing in the National Guard on their own.

00:08:01.000 Quote, Illinois Governor Blagojevich surprised Mayor Daley on July 16th by offering to send state police or even the National Guard to battle out-of-control crime in Chicago.

00:08:11.760 So there's nothing crazy or unprecedented about what the Trump administration is proposing now.

00:08:16.620 And Democrats realized that, presumably.

00:08:19.180 So in response, rather than construct any kind of rational argument, they're resorting to panicked non-sequiturs.

00:08:25.500 Here's one alderman in the city of Chicago making his counter-argument, if you can call it that.

00:08:31.080 Listen, how do you respond to the argument that there were something like 50-plus shootings of 53 people, 52 people, I should say, were shot in Chicago, 30 different shootings over the holiday weekend, seven people killed?

00:08:45.160 Aren't numbers like that still a problem that your city needs to address?

00:08:50.440 What more can be done to address that?

00:08:54.160 Well, I think that what we need to do is that we also had a mass shooting in a Catholic school.

00:09:01.480 We also have had many, many instances where the administration has really escalated, exacerbated the violence in our country, in our cities.

00:09:16.360 He's trying to normalize violence.

00:09:18.680 He's trying to normalize military deployment in American cities like L.A., D.C., Chicago, and many others to come.

00:09:33.940 One of them was a tragic shooting of an unhoused neighbor.

00:09:37.760 So the Trump administration is saying that they're going to address the issue of unhoused residents by putting them in jails, in concentration camps?

00:09:46.120 Yes, his very first response, when asked about the extraordinary levels of crime and violence in his hometown,

00:09:50.520 is to talk about the murder of two children in a Catholic church by a trans-identified shooter in another state.

00:09:58.380 This is a trans-identified mass shooter whose demonic ideology was affirmed at the highest levels of the Democratic Party.

00:10:05.800 And yet that's the defense he's offering.

00:10:08.900 Oh, you're worried about the constant shootings in Chicago?

00:10:11.460 Well, that's absurd because our party is also responsible for mass shootings in other states, too.

00:10:16.560 Now, if you notice, CNN introduced this guy in the chyron as a Chicago alderman for ward with large Hispanic populations.

00:10:25.940 So apparently we're supposed to treat him as a credible talking head on this particular issue because he comes from a ward with a lot of Hispanics.

00:10:35.180 Even though he uses every single DNC buzzword that he can, he just crams them all in.

00:10:41.180 He calls homeless people unhoused folks.

00:10:44.200 He says Trump is a dictator.

00:10:45.500 He talks about concentration camps.

00:10:48.480 Then he demands a systemic investment, meaning more tax money.

00:11:49.000 In 2022, Livingston was sentenced to five years in prison after prosecutors said he punched and attempted to rob four women within 20 minutes in the loop.

00:11:59.700 And yet, just 14 months later, in 2023, while on parole, Livingston was arrested for hitting a woman in the face on North Michigan Avenue.

00:12:10.460 And in 2024, he was sentenced to 100 days in prison after punching a 15-year-old girl, also on North Michigan.

00:12:19.920 Now, any sane person watching reports like this would realize that Chicago has a major problem.

00:12:32.660 Instead, Chicago's Mayor Brandon Johnson has decided to deflect blame in probably the most pathetic and unconvincing way that he possibly could.

00:12:40.680 But yesterday, he announced that red states are somehow responsible for all of the violent crime in the city that he leads.

00:12:54.540 However, we will never be able to end gun violence in Chicago as long as the president continues to allow tens of thousands of guns to be trafficked into our state and our city.

00:13:13.280 They are not bought in the state of Illinois.

00:13:16.680 These guns come from red states.

00:14:26.580 Before we get to the absurdity of Johnson's underlying argument, it needs to be said that he's changing his position here.

00:14:39.160 At that point, Johnson was blaming Richard Nixon, of all people.

00:14:46.260 So we cut off the pipeline of boys between the ages of 10 and 19 being either victims or the perpetrators.

00:15:34.420 And then we went from that to the idea that guns from red states are responsible, which is quite a pivot.

00:15:43.840 But let's give Brandon Johnson the benefit of the doubt and and look into the numbers here.

00:15:48.600 First of all, if you pull up the data from the ATF's website, here's what you'll find.

00:15:52.600 And this is from 2022.

00:15:55.540 It shows where firearms that were recovered in Illinois were originally purchased, assuming that the ATF could make that determination.

00:16:03.120 And as you can see, Illinois is the top source by far.

00:16:07.700 So his state is the top source of these guns.

00:16:10.400 Roughly 7,500 firearms that were recovered in the state of Illinois were originally purchased from Illinois.

00:16:17.360 The next highest states are Indiana and Missouri, which were responsible for 2,500 and 1,000 firearms, respectively.

00:16:23.600 And if you add up all the other states in the top 15, you'll find that in more than 50 percent of cases, the firearms were originally purchased in Illinois.

00:16:32.540 This is not a surprising or significant finding in any way.

00:16:35.460 And it certainly doesn't implicate red states so much as it implicates blue cities.

00:16:40.320 Both Indiana and Missouri, as we all know, are home to many loyal Democrat Party voters.

00:16:46.280 And and some of those Democrat Party voters will move across state lines.

00:16:50.000 And the problem isn't the fact that these people are capable of traveling.

00:16:53.300 It's the fact that they're committing violent crimes.

00:16:56.060 And there's a reason why if you look up the top 10 most violent cities in America, nine out of 10.

00:17:05.120 Whether they're in red states or not, as we all know, this is a common deflection from these people.

00:21:51.280 Why is he choosing that over going after a state, a red state that voted for him rather than a blue state that didn't vote for him?

00:22:07.320 But what's left unspoken here is that in red states, there are cities controlled by Democrats where extraordinary levels of crime and violence take take place.

00:22:19.240 So that's the very inconvenient fact that you're not supposed to talk about.

00:22:23.140 But the truth is, you simply can't explain the disparity in crime numbers without taking talking about demographics.

00:22:28.520 And when you're talking about demographics, you also have to talk about the fact that something like 80 percent of black children in Chicago are born to single mothers.

00:22:39.120 If black women in the city of Chicago stopped having kids before marriage and if black men stopped abandoning their families, the crime problem would all but go away.

01:06:07.740 turned out.

01:08:06.760 glowing.

01:08:07.180 The 30% jump in ridership

01:08:15.920 pilot program, which ended

01:08:19.100 managed to run over its

01:08:20.760 $15 million budget.

01:08:25.120 customers, the project

01:08:26.000 somehow managed to be

01:08:27.020 too expensive.

01:08:28.180 So I guess the idea is

01:08:29.180 that Mamdani just has to

01:08:30.260 raise taxes on New Yorkers

01:08:33.140 with a bank account has

01:08:34.160 fled to Florida.
