The Matt Walsh Show - Ep. 1651 - Democrats PANIC As Trump Kills Narco Terrorists And Stops Violent Crime

00:00:00.000 Today on the Matt Wall's show, Democrats weep as Trump kills narco-terrorists and stops violent crime in our cities. 0.99

00:00:05.220 These are very bad things for a president to do for some reason.

00:00:08.060 Also, another prominent figure now admits that he was cowed into supporting quote-unquote trans rights.

00:00:13.220 Should we forgive and forget?

00:00:14.480 Cory Booker shocks the world by getting engaged to a woman.

00:00:18.120 And the worst mayor in American history comes out to endorse the guy who will soon be the new worst mayor in American history.

00:00:23.780 Talk about all that and more today on the Matt Wall's show.

00:00:30.000 Here's something fascinating.

00:00:52.600 Until the 1990s, the U.S. government classified encryption as munitions, literally categorizing it alongside weapons.

00:00:58.740 And you know what?

00:01:00.660 They weren't entirely wrong.

00:01:01.920 Encryption is indeed powerful.

00:01:03.360 It's your shield against those who want to exploit your personal information online.

00:01:07.480 That's why we use ExpressVPN.

00:01:09.340 It's an elegant solution that encrypts your internet connection and routes it through secure servers, keeping your online activity private, exactly as it should be.

00:01:17.100 Think about it.

00:01:17.520 Without encryption, your digital life is an open book.

00:01:20.200 Your internet service provider can legally sell your browsing history.

00:01:24.420 Data brokers track your every move across websites.

00:01:27.020 Government agencies can peek into your online world.

00:01:29.860 I've been using ExpressVPN for years now, and honestly, I wouldn't go online without it.

00:01:33.700 Anytime I'm traveling and need to access sensitive information on the go, ExpressVPN has become the first thing I turn on to keep my data secure.

00:01:40.600 And here's the beautiful part.

00:01:42.240 ExpressVPN makes privacy simple.

00:01:44.260 One tap, and when the app turns green, you're protected.

00:01:47.180 It works across all your devices, phones, laptops, tablets, and a single subscription covers up to eight devices.

00:01:52.220 Encryption is a weapon, and it's one that you have a legal right to use for your own protection.

00:01:56.820 But it's up to you to exercise that right.

00:01:58.900 If you decide to take action today, you can get four extra months of ExpressVPN for free just by using my special link.

00:02:11.440 You have to imagine there are more than a few panicked conversations going on this evening over at the headquarters of Tren de Aragua,

00:02:18.880 the Venezuelan gang that routinely traffics drugs into this country and takes over apartment complexes in places like Colorado.

00:02:25.420 As you may have seen, seven months after the Trump administration designated Tren de Aragua as a foreign terrorist organization,

00:02:31.960 the U.S. military just blew up one of the gang's drug boats as it sped towards the United States.

00:02:37.740 There was no warning. The Coast Guard didn't try to take them into custody.

00:02:42.620 Instead, the boat and all 11 people on board were bombed and eliminated,

00:02:46.500 presumably with the help of one of the warships that the White House has recently deployed to the Southern Caribbean.

00:02:51.520 After decades of having open access to the U.S., this development had to be quite a shock for Tren de Aragua

00:02:57.420 and every terrorist group that engages in drug trafficking.

00:03:00.620 Until now, the absolute worst case scenario is that they might get detained very briefly,

00:03:05.000 maybe have to answer a few awkward questions about why they're heading towards the United States on a boat

00:03:10.280 with four outboard motors and millions of dollars worth of narcotics.

00:03:13.900 And then some NGO armed with tax dollars commandeered by the Democrat Party would jump into action and spring them loose,

00:03:20.480 as Ivy League academics demanded that we respect the civil liberties of sociopathic foreign drug traffickers. 0.74

00:03:26.900 But that's not what happened this time. Instead, the NGOs and academics weren't given any time to intercede on behalf of Tren de Aragua.

00:03:35.540 Federal judges weren't given that opportunity either.

00:03:38.700 There's simply no chance that a federal judge with a name out of a Star Wars movie can issue any kind of injunction at this point,

00:03:46.180 ordering the Trump administration to form a dive team and go on down there and piece all the dead bodies back together.

00:03:52.080 That's not going to work. We just simply killed them all instead. 1.00

00:03:56.560 And as you might expect, our moral superiors aren't very happy about this. 0.65

00:04:00.820 Here's how one Princeton professor and self-styled human rights advocate, a guy named Kenneth Roth,

00:04:05.680 responded to the destruction of the drug boat, quote,

00:04:09.260 drug trafficking is a crime, not an act of war.

00:04:12.200 Traffickers must be arrested, not summarily executed, which U.S. forces just illegally did.

00:04:17.400 And there were dozens more posts like this, all of them complaining about the destruction of a boat full of drug traffickers.

00:04:24.440 The Trump administration didn't respond to any of these people.

00:04:27.320 Instead, one by one, the official accounts of various officials and departments in the administration,

00:04:32.920 including Marco Rubio, Pete Hegseth, the rapid response team,

00:04:36.980 posted the footage of the boat exploding without apology.

00:04:40.720 The White House also posted memes like this one.

00:04:43.040 The caption reads, terrorists eliminated, adios.

00:04:48.040 Not exactly a subtle message.

00:04:50.540 But what makes it so effective is that, predictably, no one on the left has any idea how to respond.

00:04:56.900 Their default tactic, which is to stall, file frivolous lawsuits, wage large-scale propaganda campaigns,

00:05:04.400 that simply doesn't work anymore.

00:05:05.660 So instead of accomplishing anything, they're stammering on the Internet about how it's supposedly a terrible thing

00:05:11.860 that drug boats are being destroyed.

00:05:14.220 They can't explain why that's so terrible or what negative consequence that will actually have for us.

00:05:21.980 They're aghast at the possibility that, for the first time in recent memory,

00:05:25.520 the U.S. military is actually carrying out airstrikes for the benefit of the American people.

00:05:29.620 And the American people overwhelmingly support it.

00:05:33.000 As scandalous as this may be to left-wing, anti-human academics,

00:05:38.000 most Americans feel the way that I do about it.

00:05:40.480 And my take is very simple. 1.00

00:05:43.720 Kill the foreign drug traffickers who bring poison into our country. 1.00

00:05:47.980 Kill them all. 1.00

00:05:49.460 Mass slaughter of the drug cartels. 1.00

00:05:51.820 Leave no one alive.

00:05:54.120 That's what I'd like to see.

00:05:55.300 It's what most Americans would like to see.

00:05:56.800 And it is, in fact, the moral and just course of action.

00:06:03.200 Now, the White House recognizes the abject weakness that Democrats are displaying at the moment.

00:06:07.840 And that's why the other day, the president announced that the U.S. military would continue to take action

00:06:12.880 to protect the homeland.

00:06:15.400 The city of Chicago is up next.

00:06:18.040 Watch.

00:06:18.920 I don't want Chicago, though.

00:06:20.940 Well, we're going in.

00:06:22.100 I didn't say when.

00:06:22.960 We're going in.

00:06:23.820 When you lose, look, I have an obligation.

00:06:25.720 This isn't a political thing.

00:06:28.040 I have an obligation.

00:06:29.640 When we lose, when 20 people are killed over the last two and a half weeks and 75 are shot with bullets.

00:06:38.540 So let me tell you a little story about a place called D.C., District of Columbia, right here where we are.

00:06:45.380 It's now a safe zone.

00:06:47.520 We have no crime.

00:06:48.760 We have it's in such great shape.

00:06:51.120 You can go and actually walk with your children, your wife, your husband.

00:06:55.320 You can walk right down the middle of the street.

00:06:57.180 You're not going to be shot, Peter.

00:06:58.860 You're safe.

00:06:59.320 Now, just so you know, there's nothing, despite what you may have heard, there's nothing unprecedented about using the National Guard to establish order when local authorities prove unable or unwilling to do so.

00:07:10.560 You take the shooting at Kent State in 1970 during riots over the Vietnam War, for example.

00:07:15.480 Four college students were killed and nine were wounded by the National Guard.

00:07:18.940 And in many schools today, this episode is taught as the Kent State Massacre.

00:07:24.440 Pretty much every university in the country claims that this shooting was a clear example of brutality by the U.S. military.

00:07:29.840 But at the time, the public overwhelmingly supported the National Guard.

00:07:34.240 People understood that these students had been rioting and threatening people with deadly weapons for days.

00:07:39.160 They had burned down a building on campus.

00:07:41.480 They were unruly.

00:07:42.880 They were a clear threat to public safety.

00:07:44.880 They had cornered the National Guard troops and were advancing on them.

00:07:48.360 And, you know, that's what actually happened.

00:07:50.920 And in fact, as recently as two decades ago, Chicago's leaders were openly talking about bringing in the National Guard on their own.

00:07:58.240 Here's a report from the Associated Press in 2008.

00:08:01.000 Quote, Illinois Governor Blagojevich surprised Mayor Daley on July 16th by offering to send state police or even the National Guard to battle out-of-control crime in Chicago.

00:08:11.760 So there's nothing crazy or unprecedented about what the Trump administration is proposing now.

00:08:16.620 And Democrats realized that, presumably.

00:08:19.180 So in response, rather than construct any kind of rational argument, they're resorting to panicked non-sequiturs.

00:08:25.500 Here's one alderman in the city of Chicago making his counter-argument, if you can call it that.

00:08:31.080 Listen, how do you respond to the argument that there were something like 50-plus shootings of 53 people, 52 people, I should say, were shot in Chicago, 30 different shootings over the holiday weekend, seven people killed?

00:08:45.160 Aren't numbers like that still a problem that your city needs to address?

00:08:50.440 What more can be done to address that?

00:08:54.160 Well, I think that what we need to do is that we also had a mass shooting in a Catholic school.

00:09:01.480 We also have had many, many instances where the administration has really escalated, exacerbated the violence in our country, in our cities. 0.93

00:09:13.900 Trump is a dictator.

00:09:15.200 I think we've got to be very clear. 0.97

00:09:16.360 He's trying to normalize violence.

00:09:18.680 He's trying to normalize military deployment in American cities like L.A., D.C., Chicago, and many others to come.

00:09:25.920 But what we have not seen is really a systemic investment that will actually address the core issues.

00:09:32.500 I had shootings in my ward.

00:09:33.940 One of them was a tragic shooting of an unhoused neighbor.

00:09:37.760 So the Trump administration is saying that they're going to address the issue of unhoused residents by putting them in jails, in concentration camps?

00:09:46.120 Yes, his very first response, when asked about the extraordinary levels of crime and violence in his hometown,

00:09:50.520 is to talk about the murder of two children in a Catholic church by a trans-identified shooter in another state.

00:09:58.380 This is a trans-identified mass shooter whose demonic ideology was affirmed at the highest levels of the Democratic Party. 0.90

00:10:05.800 And yet that's the defense he's offering.

00:10:08.900 Oh, you're worried about the constant shootings in Chicago?

00:10:11.460 Well, that's absurd because our party is also responsible for mass shootings in other states, too.

00:10:16.560 Now, if you notice, CNN introduced this guy in the chyron as a Chicago alderman for ward with large Hispanic populations.

00:10:25.940 So apparently we're supposed to treat him as a credible talking head on this particular issue because he comes from a ward with a lot of Hispanics.

00:10:35.180 Even though he uses every single DNC buzzword that he can, he just crams them all in.

00:10:41.180 He calls homeless people unhoused folks.

00:10:44.200 He says Trump is a dictator.

00:10:45.500 He talks about concentration camps.

00:10:48.480 Then he demands a systemic investment, meaning more tax money.

00:10:51.840 So just, you know, he goes down to bingo.

00:10:53.360 He's got all the boxes on the bingo card checked there.

00:10:59.240 You just know this guy goes around saying Latinx on top of all this.

00:11:02.880 So it's a complete train wreck, but this is all they have.

00:11:06.680 Meanwhile, residents of Chicago are being terrorized by repeat offenders who obviously belong in prison.

00:11:12.680 Watch.

00:11:12.780 13 mugshots of Livingston going back to 2012.

00:11:17.400 A large number of those arrests for aggravated assault and battery of both women and police officers, something Miles found out after the fact.

00:11:27.440 Like what is enough?

00:11:29.640 You know, what does someone have to do where someone where he's going to be?

00:11:33.460 They're going to be held accountable.

00:11:34.820 According to online records, Livingston's history of random acts of violence against women goes back eight years.

00:11:42.200 In 2017, he was accused of randomly attacking two women months apart.

00:11:47.720 Both cases were dropped.

00:11:49.000 In 2022, Livingston was sentenced to five years in prison after prosecutors said he punched and attempted to rob four women within 20 minutes in the loop.

00:11:59.700 And yet, just 14 months later, in 2023, while on parole, Livingston was arrested for hitting a woman in the face on North Michigan Avenue.

00:12:10.460 And in 2024, he was sentenced to 100 days in prison after punching a 15-year-old girl, also on North Michigan.

00:12:19.920 Now, any sane person watching reports like this would realize that Chicago has a major problem.

00:12:25.900 It's not enforcing the law or punishing criminals.

00:12:29.680 So maybe they should start with that. 0.93

00:12:32.660 Instead, Chicago's Mayor Brandon Johnson has decided to deflect blame in probably the most pathetic and unconvincing way that he possibly could. 0.61

00:12:40.680 But yesterday, he announced that red states are somehow responsible for all of the violent crime in the city that he leads. 0.72

00:12:49.820 Watch.

00:12:50.920 And they've made historic progress.

00:12:54.540 However, we will never be able to end gun violence in Chicago as long as the president continues to allow tens of thousands of guns to be trafficked into our state and our city.

00:13:07.260 The vast majority of guns do not come from Chicago.

00:13:10.680 They are not made in Cook County.

00:13:13.280 They are not bought in the state of Illinois.

00:13:16.680 These guns come from red states.

00:13:21.340 They are coming from Indiana.

00:13:23.700 They are coming from Mississippi. 0.98

00:13:26.440 They are coming from Louisiana.

00:13:29.620 And that is the harsh reality.

00:13:31.780 Chicago will continue to have a violence problem as long as red states continue to have a gun problem. 0.53

00:13:38.760 Shootings will continue as long as this presidential administration continues to put politics over people. 0.59

00:13:45.820 Yes.

00:13:46.700 The shootings will continue, says Brandon Johnson.

00:13:51.420 He really just said that.

00:13:53.200 He doesn't seem to realize what he just said.

00:13:54.860 He couldn't have made it any more clear that he views the violence in Chicago as a core building block of his political power.

00:14:03.520 He might as well have announced the shootings will continue until morale improves.

00:14:07.220 I mean, that's basically the tone.

00:14:09.740 Think about the logic here.

00:14:10.980 Yes, there are there are constant shootings in Chicago.

00:14:13.360 Brandon Johnson concedes.

00:14:15.160 But they'll continue to take place if Donald Trump gets involved.

00:14:19.360 So I guess we're looking at at what a wash.

00:14:22.400 Is that the idea?

00:14:23.160 But we get to the absurdity.

00:14:26.580 Before we get to the absurdity of Johnson's underlying argument, it needs to be said that he's changing his position here.

00:14:32.380 Just so you know, just just a year ago when he was asked also about why Chicago is so dangerous and dysfunctional.

00:14:39.160 At that point, Johnson was blaming Richard Nixon, of all people.

00:14:45.380 Watch.

00:14:46.260 So we cut off the pipeline of boys between the ages of 10 and 19 being either victims or the perpetrators.

00:14:54.700 So, yeah, it is personal.

00:15:02.080 Black death has been unfortunately accepted in this country for a very long time.

00:15:09.160 We had a chance 60 years ago to get at the root causes.

00:15:12.920 And people mocked President Johnson.

00:15:15.740 And we ended up with Richard Nixon.

00:15:20.960 I'm going to work hard every day to transform this city.

00:15:23.360 That's what it takes to build a better, stronger, safer Chicago and everybody to step up.

00:15:26.880 So we've gone from Richard Nixon being the one at fault from the grave.

00:15:31.820 He's haunting Chicago and causing all the violence.

00:15:34.420 And then we went from that to the idea that guns from red states are responsible, which is quite a pivot.

00:15:43.840 But let's give Brandon Johnson the benefit of the doubt and and look into the numbers here.

00:15:48.600 First of all, if you pull up the data from the ATF's website, here's what you'll find.

00:15:52.600 And this is from 2022.

00:15:55.540 It shows where firearms that were recovered in Illinois were originally purchased, assuming that the ATF could make that determination.

00:16:03.120 And as you can see, Illinois is the top source by far.

00:16:07.700 So his state is the top source of these guns.

00:16:10.400 Roughly 7,500 firearms that were recovered in the state of Illinois were originally purchased from Illinois.

00:16:17.360 The next highest states are Indiana and Missouri, which were responsible for 2,500 and 1,000 firearms, respectively.

00:16:23.600 And if you add up all the other states in the top 15, you'll find that in more than 50 percent of cases, the firearms were originally purchased in Illinois.

00:16:32.540 This is not a surprising or significant finding in any way.

00:16:35.460 And it certainly doesn't implicate red states so much as it implicates blue cities.

00:16:40.320 Both Indiana and Missouri, as we all know, are home to many loyal Democrat Party voters.

00:16:46.280 And and some of those Democrat Party voters will move across state lines.

00:16:50.000 And the problem isn't the fact that these people are capable of traveling.

00:16:53.300 It's the fact that they're committing violent crimes.

00:16:56.060 And there's a reason why if you look up the top 10 most violent cities in America, nine out of 10.

00:17:01.580 Are led by Democrats.

00:17:05.120 Whether they're in red states or not, as we all know, this is a common deflection from these people.

00:17:10.560 They say, well, look at the violence in red states.

00:17:12.820 Yeah. Where is that violence happening?

00:17:14.840 It's happening in the cities.

00:17:16.320 And who's in charge of the cities?

00:17:18.140 The Democrats are.

00:17:19.960 Out of the top 10 most violent cities in America, nine of the 10 are run by Democrats.

00:17:26.020 That's 90 percent.

00:17:27.220 So trying to pin this on Republicans is a form of gaslighting that could only be done by the same people who tried to convince us that men can get pregnant.

00:17:37.800 I mean, they're they're they are very accustomed to denying basic reality.

00:17:40.960 And so here they continue.

00:17:43.460 Also, here's a question, Brandon.

00:17:46.020 Let's take just let's just take the guns that do come into Chicago from red states. 1.00

00:17:51.340 OK, let's let's take let's let's pretend that all of the guns, but let's let's go along with that fantasy that they're all coming from red states.

00:18:01.200 And let's even pretend let's even pretend that not only are they all coming from red states, but they're coming from red areas of red states, meaning the rural areas, not the cities.

00:18:12.760 None of this is true, but let's pretend.

00:18:14.400 Well, Brandon, why do those guns only become a problem once they make it into Chicago?

00:18:24.500 Why do these guns suddenly start killing people in Chicago when they weren't killing people in rural Indiana?

00:18:33.900 Why is that?

00:18:34.820 If the guns are coming from rural Indiana, then we should and the guns are the problem, then we should see that the violence in Indiana is worse than it is in Chicago, given that Indiana is the source. 0.50

00:18:48.640 But that's not the case.

00:18:50.440 It's a strange thing.

00:18:51.640 They don't start the guns don't start killing people until they get into Chicago.

00:18:55.760 Do the guns just take on a life of their own?

00:18:58.000 Do they do they come to life like some some rated R version of Toy Story?

00:19:02.060 Or do the actual humans in Chicago decide to use those guns to commit violent crimes, which would mean the problem is with the people in your city, not the objects.

00:19:15.200 Now, this is a concept that obviously leftists struggle to understand.

00:19:18.920 But if you work with them, then sometimes you can get them to understand it a little bit.

00:19:24.200 In fact, I just had this experience with Stephen King.

00:19:27.620 Of course, the the the author, famous author, Stephen King.

00:19:30.920 And after the mass shooting by the trans guy at the Catholic Church, I pointed out that trans identified people are mentally unwell and doctors should be legally barred from affirming their confusion. 0.96

00:19:40.680 Like we talked about on the show after the shooting.

00:19:43.540 Stephen King responded by by to my post by posting this trans is not the problem.

00:19:49.060 He had a gun.

00:19:49.980 That's the problem.

00:19:50.880 Now, I replied to Stephen King and I said, I have multiple guns.

00:19:55.560 I've never murdered anyone in my life.

00:19:57.700 Somehow, even with my guns, I have never experienced the temptation to spray bullets into a church.

00:20:02.420 It turns out that if you aren't a mentally ill freak, having a gun isn't a problem at all.

00:20:07.120 And then get this, Stephen King, in a moment of accidental mental clarity, said that you see the tweet here. 0.93

00:20:17.460 Yes, but you're sane.

00:20:21.900 Well, yes, Stephen, that's right.

00:20:24.560 You finally got it.

00:20:26.240 Congratulations, Stephen.

00:20:27.700 You I I mean, you're you're in your 60s now.

00:20:30.460 You fight.

00:20:31.340 Yes, exactly.

00:20:33.460 So you see that it's not the gun, as you originally said in your tweet.

00:20:37.380 It's not the gun.

00:20:38.460 It's the person.

00:20:40.620 Because just a second ago, you were saying, oh, no, it's not.

00:20:43.220 It's not that it's the guns.

00:20:44.940 It was the exact quote.

00:20:46.060 It's the guns.

00:20:47.580 And then I pointed out that, well, I have a bunch of guns and I've never killed anybody.

00:20:51.620 I've never I've never even wanted to commit murder.

00:20:55.040 I've never even come close to it.

00:20:57.100 It's just not in the realm of possibility for me.

00:21:01.300 Well, why is that?

00:21:03.280 Well, as you point out, well, it's because I'm not insane.

00:21:07.600 So it's not the gun.

00:21:08.840 It is the person.

00:21:09.980 It seems we have a breakthrough with Stephen King.

00:21:13.800 Now, if only we could do the same thing with these Democrat politicians, but instead they all play the same game that Brandon Johnson plays.

00:21:19.960 Gavin Newsom has been doing this.

00:21:22.820 J.B. Pritzker has also joined in.

00:21:25.800 Watch the president.

00:21:27.240 And let's talk about the press secretary for the president.

00:21:30.460 He doesn't seem to understand that it's actually Republican states that have the crime problem, that of the 20 states that have the biggest crime problem, 13 of them are red states controlled by Republican governors.

00:21:45.060 Why is he choosing?

00:21:47.040 In fact, we're of the of those 20 states, we're at the bottom.

00:21:51.280 Why is he choosing that over going after a state, a red state that voted for him rather than a blue state that didn't vote for him?

00:22:00.560 So once again, there's this conflation of red states with blue cities inside red states, which, of course, are the real problem.

00:22:07.320 But what's left unspoken here is that in red states, there are cities controlled by Democrats where extraordinary levels of crime and violence take take place.

00:22:15.660 And many of these cities have majority black populations or close to it.

00:22:19.240 So that's the very inconvenient fact that you're not supposed to talk about.

00:22:23.140 But the truth is, you simply can't explain the disparity in crime numbers without taking talking about demographics.

00:22:28.520 And when you're talking about demographics, you also have to talk about the fact that something like 80 percent of black children in Chicago are born to single mothers.

00:22:39.120 If black women in the city of Chicago stopped having kids before marriage and if black men stopped abandoning their families, the crime problem would all but go away. 0.85

00:22:52.360 I mean, just the slightest bit of self-control would fix all of this. 0.98

00:22:56.840 But Brandon doesn't want to mention that.

00:23:00.080 I wonder why.

00:23:01.540 Instead, he openly declared an insurrection against the United States government, saying that residents of Chicago should rise up and resist the National Guard.

00:23:13.940 This is just sedition is what this is very clearly.

00:23:17.080 Listen.

00:23:17.920 Are you prepared to defend this land, this land that was built by slaves,

00:23:24.480 a land that was built by indigenous people, a land that is built by workers?

00:23:30.320 Are you prepared to defend this land?

00:23:35.680 The people united will always prevail.

00:23:39.760 I need you all to stand firm, to stand strong.

00:23:43.580 Well, before we even get to the sedition, it's just layers of dishonesty that we have here on top of more dishonesty.

00:23:55.140 Chicago was not, for the record, in any sense, built by slaves and indigenous people.

00:24:00.420 OK, that's just not true.

00:24:01.760 Also, the country as a whole was not built by slaves and indigenous people.

00:24:07.600 That is also not true.

00:24:10.100 We could have never had slavery and this country would still exist.

00:24:12.900 But especially for him to be saying that in that particular city makes no sense.

00:24:21.340 Eastern Europeans, along with Irish and German immigrants, are responsible for the development of Chicago, as we know it today.

00:24:28.240 It wasn't slaves from Africa who built the Illinois and Michigan Canal,

00:24:32.700 which is what transformed the city of Chicago into a major hub of transportation and commerce.

00:24:36.720 Slavery was illegal in Illinois.

00:24:38.760 It was immigrants, mostly Irishmen, who constructed it. 0.98

00:24:42.900 But useless bureaucrats like Brandon Johnson had no role in it whatsoever. 0.94

00:24:48.060 This is back at a time, as we've talked about many times, when people say, oh, we're a nation of immigrants. 0.92

00:24:53.740 Well, if you go back a century, a century and a half, if you go back decades and centuries,

00:24:59.160 what you'll find is that there was a time when immigrants came here, people came from other parts of the world to literally help build the country.

00:25:10.740 They built, and these were, and this distinction I've drawn so many times, these were really pioneers.

00:25:16.220 There's a difference between what we think of today as an immigrant who comes to an already fully built country in order to take advantage of it,

00:25:25.940 in order to benefit from it.

00:25:27.180 But back in the old days, you had pioneers, really.

00:25:33.960 You had people coming and building, building this place, which is very different from what we have now.

00:25:40.980 And, again, it wasn't bureaucrats like Brandon Johnson either.

00:25:45.520 And, you know, they shouldn't suggest otherwise or even talk about the development of the city of Chicago until they learn some basic history about their own city.

00:25:56.160 But we all know why Brandon Johnson is lying like this.

00:25:59.280 His goal is to dismantle the rule of law in Chicago.

00:26:02.900 He's been working on that goal for some time.

00:26:04.480 Last year, he got rid of a shot spotter technology, which allowed law enforcement to pinpoint the location of any shooting within seconds.

00:26:12.780 Watch.

00:26:13.560 Well, there's been a lot of concern from city aldermen and community organizations as shot spotter is set to expire at midnight tonight.

00:26:22.120 Mayor Brandon Johnson announced today a city request for information to look into other possible technology systems.

00:26:28.100 But many are concerned about public safety while that entire process plays out.

00:26:34.480 After months of contentious debate among city leaders, shot spotter gun detection technology will officially stop being used in Chicago tonight.

00:26:42.240 Alderman voted 33 to 14 earlier this week to keep the technology system falling one short of a veto-proof majority.

00:26:49.440 That led to Mayor Brandon Johnson vowing to veto, effectively ending the technology that has monitored Chicago's neighborhoods for more than six years.

00:26:57.940 We hear the mayor talk about building a stronger, safer Chicago, but this doesn't do that when you're taking away this type of technology.

00:27:08.700 Now, when you hear politicians like Brandon Johnson claim that they have solutions, remember videos like this one.

00:27:13.140 They've gone out of their way to make violent crime much, much worse in Chicago.

00:27:19.560 This is a deliberate effort that they've embarked on.

00:27:22.820 Now, it's true that in our federal system, states are not required to assist the federal government in carrying out certain policy objectives,

00:27:29.260 but it's also true that states and local government cannot actively interfere with the federal government's decision to enforce the law.

00:27:38.160 That is not states' rights. That is treason.

00:27:41.320 Brandon Johnson is openly encouraging residents of Chicago to engage in treason against the United States.

00:27:45.480 And for that reason, Brandon Johnson should be arrested, charged with treason, convicted, and then given the requisite punishment for a capital offense.

00:27:58.640 Will that ever happen? Probably not.

00:28:00.440 But then again, just a few days ago, Trende, Aragua, you know, they never thought that they'd be intercepted as they sped towards the United States on their drug boats.

00:28:08.560 They certainly didn't imagine they'd get blown up without any warning.

00:28:11.300 All indications are that we are entering a new phase of federal governance, one where the U.S. military acts to defend the American people,

00:28:18.420 where false narratives from NGOs are ignored, where criminals are actually punished when they violate the law in public.

00:28:26.440 So who knows? Maybe Brandon Johnson shouldn't be so confident.

00:28:29.820 Like Washington, D.C., which has experienced something like a 50% drop in violent crime since the National Guard moved in,

00:28:35.600 Chicago is about to become a much safer place.

00:28:37.500 The more J.B. Pritzker lies about crime statistics, the more Brandon Johnson commits treason in public,

00:28:43.880 the more obvious it becomes that this strategy needs to be applied to every major American city.

00:28:50.060 Democrats have no response. They have no counter-arguing.

00:28:53.220 The safer America becomes, the more they will complain.

00:28:56.100 And in response, every American who's paying attention will recognize their party for what it is.

00:29:00.160 They are the party of chaos, crime, and cartels.

00:29:05.080 And they should be treated accordingly.

00:29:07.620 Now let's get to our five headlines.

00:30:32.720 Malcolm Gladwell is a famous author.

00:30:35.200 He's written some interesting books and some other books that were not so interesting.

00:30:39.020 But about three years ago, he was apparently on a panel in front of a live audience

00:30:44.080 where he came out in favor of quote-unquote trans rights

00:30:47.460 and defended the idea that trans-identified males should play in female sports.

00:30:53.340 Now, that was back in 2022.

00:30:56.280 And now, three years later, appearing on some kind of podcast,

00:31:00.700 he's taken all that back.

00:31:03.100 Says he never really meant it, actually.

00:31:05.960 Here he is now. Listen.

00:31:06.920 If we did a replay of that exact panel at the Sloan Conference this coming March,

00:31:14.380 it runs in exactly the opposite direction.

00:31:18.360 And it would be, I suspect, near unanimity in the room

00:31:22.960 that trans athletes have no place in the female category.

00:31:30.100 I don't think there's any question.

00:31:31.520 I just think it was a strange, I mean, I felt, I mean, I was,

00:31:35.840 the reason I'm ashamed of my performance of that panel,

00:31:38.780 because I share your position 100%, and I was count.

00:31:45.280 The idea of saying anything on this issue, I was, you know,

00:31:50.360 I believe in retrospect, in a dishonest way, I was objective in a dishonest way.

00:31:56.300 So, I guess everybody at this conference in 2022, or most of them,

00:32:00.140 were in favor of trans males and female sports.

00:32:03.240 And Gladwell says that if you replayed that now,

00:32:06.500 it would go exactly the opposite way.

00:32:09.240 Everybody would be on Team Sanity.

00:32:11.420 And he's right.

00:32:12.840 He's right about that.

00:32:14.340 That's probably how it would go.

00:32:16.200 And as for himself, he says that he's ashamed

00:32:17.900 because he was cowed into pretending that he was on board with the trans stuff.

00:32:22.960 Now, a couple of quick points about this.

00:32:28.740 I've seen a lot of people congratulating Malcolm Gladwell and saying,

00:32:34.380 well, good for you.

00:32:37.880 It's so great that you have the courage now.

00:32:40.400 Yes, you finally have the courage to speak up.

00:32:44.280 Listen, I welcome anyone who's seen the light.

00:32:48.800 If you're going to come,

00:32:50.000 I welcome anyone who says anything true on any topic at all.

00:32:55.220 So, anytime you speak up and say something true,

00:32:57.760 I welcome that.

00:33:01.360 And I welcome you on to Team Sanity.

00:33:08.580 But there's no courage here at all.

00:33:12.980 Okay, there's zero courage involved.

00:33:15.480 This was a guy who said the popular thing,

00:33:19.880 at least in his social circles,

00:33:21.940 back a few years ago.

00:33:24.440 And now he's saying the popular thing again.

00:33:27.040 So, this is just someone saying,

00:33:28.680 waiting until the thing is popular to say it.

00:33:31.340 There's zero courage involved at this point.

00:33:36.980 Now, there would have been a little bit,

00:33:40.580 a little bit back in 2022.

00:33:42.860 But even then, again, this is 2022.

00:33:44.140 So, even by then, it was like not as,

00:33:47.900 we were really winning the battle

00:33:50.080 even as long ago as 2022.

00:33:56.020 So, it would have required a minimal amount of fortitude,

00:34:00.640 not much.

00:34:02.560 Keep in mind, this guy is 60 plus years old.

00:34:05.740 He's worth, according to Google anyway,

00:34:07.440 $60 million net worth.

00:34:09.880 Those net worth things on Google

00:34:12.220 are not always reliable.

00:34:13.540 In fact, usually are totally made up.

00:34:15.880 But, given that he's a very successful author

00:34:19.320 and he's written a bunch of books

00:34:20.400 that have been New York Times bestsellers,

00:34:21.840 we can assume that he's worth tens of millions of dollars.

00:34:26.580 So, he would have risked almost nothing

00:34:28.840 by standing up and having the correct position

00:34:32.540 back in 2022.

00:34:33.800 He wouldn't have lost any money

00:34:36.600 because he still would have sold his books.

00:34:39.480 So, he wouldn't have lost any money.

00:34:40.840 He would have, he would have,

00:34:41.540 all he would have done

00:34:42.580 is upset some of his rich friends.

00:34:46.120 So, it would have made for some

00:34:48.260 uncomfortable conversations

00:34:50.320 and with his friends

00:34:52.460 and some nasty looks.

00:34:54.160 And, maybe he gets invited

00:34:57.720 to fewer, you know,

00:34:59.340 to fewer social functions.

00:35:01.120 Maybe, maybe he doesn't get invited

00:35:02.520 to the next, next time

00:35:03.420 there's a conference and a panel.

00:35:04.600 Maybe he's not on the panel.

00:35:05.640 I don't know.

00:35:06.900 But, that's all that he was risking.

00:35:08.420 This is not a major risk.

00:35:11.220 And, he couldn't even do that.

00:35:14.380 So, this is someone

00:35:15.180 that's just an abject, 1.00

00:35:17.200 disgusting coward 1.00

00:35:18.380 and still is. 1.00

00:35:20.500 So, we're not going to,

00:35:21.600 and the reason why

00:35:23.120 it's worth pointing this out

00:35:24.120 is because he is not alone, obviously.

00:35:27.420 We've seen this now.

00:35:28.560 I mean, this is what's happening

00:35:29.480 where you've got

00:35:29.920 these prominent people

00:35:30.900 who were all in faith,

00:35:32.640 all on the trans train

00:35:33.860 three, four, five years ago.

00:35:36.160 And now, one by one,

00:35:37.640 they're all coming over here.

00:35:41.840 And, you've got some people

00:35:43.040 over here who are welcome,

00:35:44.320 who are ready to throw their arms

00:35:45.620 and welcome them

00:35:47.160 with open arms.

00:35:49.540 And, I gotta tell you,

00:35:50.660 I'm not.

00:35:51.340 I mean, again,

00:35:51.660 I welcome you saying

00:35:52.860 something that's true,

00:35:53.660 so that's great.

00:35:54.780 I'm not gonna congratulate you.

00:35:57.620 And, I cannot forget

00:35:59.420 what you did.

00:36:00.720 I can't forget it.

00:36:02.560 But, you are still 1.00

00:36:03.540 an abject, disgusting coward. 1.00

00:36:05.460 You did the popular thing. 1.00

00:36:07.700 You betrayed.

00:36:09.240 You were willing

00:36:10.180 to deny,

00:36:12.980 just to avoid

00:36:14.400 uncomfortable glances,

00:36:17.060 nasty looks,

00:36:17.820 and, you know,

00:36:19.140 just to avoid upsetting

00:36:20.040 a couple of your,

00:36:20.780 a few of your rich friends.

00:36:21.980 You were willing

00:36:22.740 to deny

00:36:23.340 one of the most

00:36:25.340 fundamental basic facts

00:36:26.820 of reality.

00:36:29.320 And, you waited

00:36:30.260 until the coast

00:36:31.040 was completely clear

00:36:32.500 to come over here.

00:36:34.880 The level of cowardice

00:36:36.640 that that requires

00:36:37.500 is impossible

00:36:38.960 to overstate.

00:36:40.000 which means that

00:36:42.320 we can never trust you.

00:36:44.080 Like,

00:36:45.040 you'll do it again

00:36:46.200 on the next issue.

00:36:47.720 Whatever the next issue is

00:36:48.940 where

00:36:49.360 the popular opinion,

00:36:51.740 at least among the elites,

00:36:53.320 is something insane,

00:36:55.080 you'll do it again.

00:36:56.600 You will totally do it again.

00:36:57.640 So, we can absolutely

00:36:58.480 never trust you again.

00:36:59.460 You have shot

00:37:00.200 your credibility

00:37:00.880 completely, entirely,

00:37:02.400 and it cannot

00:37:03.040 ever be recovered.

00:37:04.340 There are things in life

00:37:05.440 that are like that.

00:37:06.100 There are times in life

00:37:08.740 where you can do something

00:37:09.600 or you can say something

00:37:10.460 and

00:37:11.020 you can never

00:37:12.760 come back from it.

00:37:14.980 It's just,

00:37:15.560 that's because it's,

00:37:16.280 you said it,

00:37:16.820 you did it.

00:37:17.980 We can't pretend

00:37:18.740 that you didn't.

00:37:19.540 We can't,

00:37:20.180 we can't rewind the clock

00:37:21.520 and make it so that

00:37:22.220 it didn't happen.

00:37:22.760 It happened.

00:37:23.240 You did it.

00:37:24.560 And you,

00:37:25.120 and you revealed

00:37:26.240 something about yourself

00:37:27.560 that

00:37:28.320 remains true

00:37:31.020 even later

00:37:32.720 after you've decided

00:37:33.820 that you're sorry.

00:37:34.460 so,

00:37:37.540 and there's no humility

00:37:38.360 here either,

00:37:39.240 by the way.

00:37:39.740 You know,

00:37:39.900 this is not,

00:37:40.680 this is not

00:37:42.300 the prodigal son

00:37:43.420 story, right?

00:37:45.160 You know,

00:37:45.320 the prodigal son

00:37:46.040 returns

00:37:46.800 and

00:37:48.120 and

00:37:49.560 and what does

00:37:50.180 the prodigal son do?

00:37:51.100 He comes back

00:37:52.120 in a

00:37:53.560 in a

00:37:54.200 a state

00:37:55.120 of total humility.

00:37:56.920 He comes back

00:37:57.980 and says,

00:37:58.920 you know,

00:37:59.200 father,

00:37:59.540 I've sinned against God.

00:38:00.780 I've sinned against you.

00:38:02.040 I'm not worthy

00:38:02.940 to be called your son.

00:38:04.040 I,

00:38:04.740 you know,

00:38:05.000 if you tell me

00:38:06.360 to sleep out in the barn

00:38:07.500 with the,

00:38:07.920 with the cows,

00:38:08.760 I'll do it.

00:38:09.840 I'm not,

00:38:10.220 not even worthy

00:38:10.880 to walk into your house

00:38:12.480 again.

00:38:12.740 And I understand that

00:38:13.780 because of what I've done.

00:38:16.580 And in that state

00:38:17.700 of like true contrition

00:38:19.060 and humility,

00:38:19.760 his father

00:38:20.600 wraps his arm around him

00:38:21.880 and says,

00:38:22.520 come on in.

00:38:23.900 You're,

00:38:24.080 you're welcome back

00:38:24.760 into our home.

00:38:26.580 Um,

00:38:27.140 but that story

00:38:29.260 would have a different ending

00:38:30.220 if the,

00:38:30.700 if the son had walked

00:38:31.640 back and said,

00:38:32.420 yeah,

00:38:32.560 you know what?

00:38:33.000 I decided to come back,

00:38:34.040 but I might leave again.

00:38:35.400 Honestly,

00:38:35.820 dad,

00:38:36.360 I decided it didn't

00:38:37.020 really work out this time,

00:38:38.080 but I'll,

00:38:38.340 so I'll come back

00:38:38.960 and I'll eat your food

00:38:39.500 for a little bit.

00:38:40.200 But,

00:38:40.440 uh,

00:38:41.140 you know,

00:38:41.380 next time,

00:38:41.900 next time I,

00:38:42.440 it strikes my fancy,

00:38:43.520 I'll probably leave again.

00:38:44.420 And that's what we have now,

00:38:48.580 right?

00:38:49.400 That's the version

00:38:50.060 of the prodigal son

00:38:50.880 that we're getting

00:38:51.180 from these people.

00:38:52.180 So,

00:38:53.280 um,

00:38:53.880 so we can't forget it.

00:38:55.460 We'll,

00:38:55.800 we'll never be able

00:38:56.380 to forget

00:38:56.800 that you,

00:38:58.400 you people disgraced

00:38:59.420 yourself in this way.

00:39:00.280 And this is one

00:39:02.180 of those times that look,

00:39:03.180 it's,

00:39:03.520 it's okay to be wrong

00:39:04.300 about things.

00:39:04.840 People are wrong.

00:39:05.620 I've been wrong

00:39:06.060 about stuff.

00:39:07.800 So you could be wrong.

00:39:09.980 Um,

00:39:10.420 and you can change your mind.

00:39:12.200 They was talking

00:39:12.840 about that last week.

00:39:13.560 People change their minds.

00:39:14.340 I've changed my mind

00:39:14.940 on things,

00:39:15.320 but there are some things

00:39:17.820 that you just can't be wrong.

00:39:18.940 There are some issues

00:39:20.000 you just can't get wrong.

00:39:21.480 And,

00:39:21.940 uh,

00:39:22.260 if you do,

00:39:23.100 then again,

00:39:24.200 your credibility

00:39:24.760 is done forever.

00:39:27.020 You can't get this one wrong.

00:39:29.080 Is it,

00:39:29.720 is it possible

00:39:30.320 for men to have babies? 0.99

00:39:31.300 Like is a man,

00:39:32.060 a woman? 0.80

00:39:32.440 I mean that you cannot

00:39:33.520 get that wrong.

00:39:36.440 That that's one of those,

00:39:37.580 um,

00:39:39.280 that's one of those

00:39:42.720 deal breaker situations.

00:39:44.340 Or if you get that wrong,

00:39:47.280 then your credibility

00:39:48.000 is just done.

00:39:50.320 All right.

00:39:51.060 Senator Cory Booker has,

00:39:52.860 speaking of people

00:39:53.180 with no credibility,

00:39:53.880 has announced

00:39:54.400 that he's engaged,

00:39:55.600 um,

00:39:56.680 to a woman,

00:39:58.420 apparently.

00:39:59.580 So her name is

00:40:00.740 Alexis Lewis

00:40:01.500 and,

00:40:03.120 uh,

00:40:03.320 Booker wants to run

00:40:03.960 for president again.

00:40:04.820 He's,

00:40:05.040 he's hoping to get

00:40:05.600 2% of the vote

00:40:06.420 this time,

00:40:07.000 which would be,

00:40:07.900 which would be a,

00:40:08.480 a 100% improvement

00:40:10.420 over his performance

00:40:11.300 in the primaries

00:40:11.920 last time.

00:40:13.340 So,

00:40:13.900 and he knows

00:40:14.300 that he can't be

00:40:14.880 a 56 year old bachelor

00:40:16.060 and,

00:40:16.880 and run for president.

00:40:18.880 That doesn't really

00:40:19.280 work in politics.

00:40:21.280 Even in,

00:40:21.940 even in our enlightened era,

00:40:23.380 it doesn't work.

00:40:24.860 So he's getting engaged

00:40:26.120 just in time.

00:40:27.040 And here are the photos

00:40:28.700 of this happy moment.

00:40:29.920 And as you can see,

00:40:33.000 they are happy.

00:40:35.460 They really,

00:40:36.420 really want you to know

00:40:37.280 that they are happy.

00:40:38.160 They are really,

00:40:39.260 really happy.

00:40:41.920 Actually,

00:40:42.400 like maniacally happy.

00:40:43.900 They are happy

00:40:44.740 to a creepy degree.

00:40:46.360 They are happy

00:40:47.220 in the way

00:40:47.600 that a serial killer

00:40:48.640 is happy

00:40:49.160 when he burns 0.97

00:40:50.380 your house down 0.65

00:40:51.000 with you inside it.

00:40:51.860 This is,

00:40:52.880 if you look up

00:40:53.680 the term

00:40:54.140 overcompensating

00:40:55.020 in the dictionary,

00:40:55.700 it should just be

00:40:56.440 these pictures.

00:40:58.680 This is it right here.

00:40:59.660 I mean,

00:41:00.200 this isn't even

00:41:01.480 the right emotion

00:41:02.920 for getting engaged.

00:41:05.920 I don't know

00:41:06.540 what this is supposed to be,

00:41:08.080 but engagement,

00:41:08.740 engagement should be happy,

00:41:10.040 but it's a kind of

00:41:10.740 a tender,

00:41:12.000 soft happiness.

00:41:13.020 It's a sweet,

00:41:13.980 personal,

00:41:14.820 intimate moment.

00:41:17.340 They're smiling

00:41:18.220 and laughing

00:41:18.680 like Jim Carrey

00:41:19.580 playing a supervillain

00:41:20.520 in a movie.

00:41:24.060 They're like robots

00:41:25.300 trying to emulate

00:41:26.280 a human response.

00:41:27.520 I am happy.

00:41:31.060 I am so happy

00:41:32.060 to be engaged.

00:41:35.180 That's my

00:41:35.720 Cory Booker impression.

00:41:36.860 It's pretty good.

00:41:38.440 It is amazing

00:41:39.140 that Cory Booker

00:41:39.860 is the first man

00:41:40.780 in history

00:41:41.240 to get engaged

00:41:42.100 to a woman

00:41:42.540 and somehow

00:41:43.180 come off even more 0.97

00:41:44.500 gay because of it. 0.99

00:41:46.360 He looks gayer 0.99

00:41:47.400 in these pictures

00:41:48.020 than he's ever looked.

00:41:49.980 I don't know how that,

00:41:50.720 and I don't say that

00:41:51.380 as an insult,

00:41:51.940 by the way.

00:41:52.420 I would never,

00:41:52.800 I'm saying objectively,

00:41:55.360 scientifically speaking,

00:41:56.300 just like as an objective,

00:41:57.860 as an objective measure.

00:42:00.800 I think that he,

00:42:02.100 so that's what's

00:42:02.840 interesting about it.

00:42:03.700 Now Booker put out

00:42:04.360 a statement about

00:42:05.000 the engagement.

00:42:05.580 He says,

00:42:05.900 Alexis is one of the greatest

00:42:07.020 unearned blessings

00:42:07.860 of my life.

00:42:09.120 She's transformed me,

00:42:10.560 helping me to ground

00:42:11.500 and center my inner life

00:42:12.880 and discover the joys

00:42:14.260 of building a nurturing home

00:42:15.460 with someone you love.

00:42:16.940 I'm thrilled to share

00:42:17.940 Alexis and I

00:42:18.660 are engaged.

00:42:19.360 I am savoring

00:42:21.100 the soul-affirming wonder

00:42:22.320 of everyday life

00:42:23.120 with my partner,

00:42:24.000 best friend,

00:42:24.620 and now my fiance.

00:42:26.580 We are excited

00:42:27.420 for this journey ahead,

00:42:28.280 having so much fun

00:42:29.100 and feeling deeply grateful

00:42:30.280 for the love, support,

00:42:31.100 and energy

00:42:31.520 so many of you

00:42:32.180 have shared with us.

00:42:33.060 We are truly blessed

00:42:33.860 to be surrounded

00:42:34.380 by such a beautiful community

00:42:35.640 lifting us

00:42:36.720 in love and commitment.

00:42:40.460 Wow, Corey.

00:42:41.600 Thanks for that.

00:42:42.440 That is a giant heap

00:42:44.980 of stuff.

00:42:45.940 Thank you for that.

00:42:46.580 I have to say,

00:42:48.100 she helped me

00:42:49.040 to ground

00:42:49.780 and center

00:42:50.520 my inner life.

00:42:51.520 What does that mean, Corey?

00:42:53.160 What does that mean?

00:42:54.200 Ground and center

00:42:55.160 your inner life.

00:42:55.900 Tell me what that means.

00:42:58.360 No, I actually want to know.

00:42:59.820 We're not going to move on

00:43:00.920 from this.

00:43:01.280 I'm tired of these

00:43:01.980 empty-headed,

00:43:03.040 soulless, 0.97

00:43:04.780 you know,

00:43:05.120 walking greeting cards

00:43:06.580 going around

00:43:08.020 and sputtering out 0.96

00:43:08.960 nonsense like this 0.88

00:43:09.960 and never being asked

00:43:11.080 to explain it.

00:43:13.120 We got way too many people

00:43:14.140 walking around

00:43:14.560 saying stuff like this

00:43:15.340 and no one ever says,

00:43:16.280 what does that mean?

00:43:17.660 What are you even

00:43:18.400 trying to express?

00:43:19.280 I have no clue

00:43:19.880 what that means.

00:43:21.280 Please explain.

00:43:22.740 Explain what that means,

00:43:23.660 Corey.

00:43:24.460 What do you mean

00:43:25.020 she helped to center 0.77

00:43:26.080 your inner life?

00:43:27.680 Please explain

00:43:28.460 in detail

00:43:29.360 what you mean by that.

00:43:32.300 Was your inner life

00:43:33.280 not centered before?

00:43:35.620 Where was your inner life?

00:43:36.900 Was it not inside you?

00:43:38.700 Was it off in the corner

00:43:39.620 of the room somewhere?

00:43:40.620 Did she find your inner life

00:43:41.860 for you and bring it to you

00:43:42.840 and say,

00:43:43.140 hey, I found your inner life

00:43:44.020 in the corner of the room? 0.99

00:43:44.540 You keep misplacing it, silly. 0.97

00:43:48.460 Is that what she grounded? 0.97

00:43:50.580 She grounded your inner life.

00:43:53.600 I honestly,

00:43:54.220 I'm not being obtuse on purpose.

00:43:56.940 I don't know what,

00:43:57.840 I don't know what that's

00:43:58.860 trying to express.

00:44:00.300 I don't know what it means

00:44:01.640 to have someone

00:44:02.400 ground your inner life.

00:44:06.100 It sounds like a,

00:44:07.300 it's like construction.

00:44:08.400 What is she,

00:44:08.700 a contractor?

00:44:10.700 Yeah, yeah.

00:44:11.140 The problem here

00:44:12.280 is your inner life

00:44:13.200 isn't,

00:44:13.820 it's not grounded

00:44:14.860 and centered.

00:44:15.560 We need,

00:44:16.020 we got to pour some foundation

00:44:17.220 and get that inner life,

00:44:18.560 you know,

00:44:19.500 grounded and centered.

00:44:22.320 Doesn't make any sense.

00:44:24.480 Also,

00:44:24.940 do you really expect us

00:44:25.760 to believe that you have

00:44:26.700 an inner life at all?

00:44:28.040 That's the real problem.

00:44:29.500 What inner life

00:44:30.160 are you talking about, Corey?

00:44:32.520 Somebody who has

00:44:33.420 an inner life

00:44:34.020 never uses a phrase

00:44:35.580 like,

00:44:36.640 she grounded

00:44:37.220 and centered

00:44:37.760 my inner life.

00:44:38.440 If you had an inner life,

00:44:39.400 you wouldn't talk about

00:44:40.180 grounding and centering

00:44:41.080 your inner life.

00:44:41.740 That is a dead giveaway

00:44:43.080 that you have no inner life.

00:44:45.480 You have the inner life

00:44:46.660 of a,

00:44:47.180 of a chair.

00:44:48.820 Okay,

00:44:49.100 you have the inner life

00:44:49.920 of a,

00:44:50.320 of a wheelbarrow

00:44:51.520 full of mulch.

00:44:54.160 No,

00:44:54.600 really you have

00:44:55.020 the inner life

00:44:55.740 of chat GPT.

00:44:56.860 You are a human chat bot,

00:44:58.780 but with a lot less

00:45:00.120 computing power. 0.87

00:45:01.380 You are an empty, 1.00

00:45:02.560 pathetic, 1.00

00:45:03.280 fraudulent human being 1.00

00:45:04.300 down to your core.

00:45:07.220 Anyway,

00:45:08.300 congrats on the engagement

00:45:09.120 though.

00:45:11.080 Over the weekend,

00:45:12.020 the media

00:45:12.840 and leftists

00:45:13.620 on social media

00:45:14.200 were trying to spin up

00:45:15.560 a narrative

00:45:15.980 that Trump

00:45:16.800 had gone missing 0.58

00:45:17.600 and must be very sick

00:45:19.540 or even dead.

00:45:22.020 And they've been trying

00:45:22.980 this through this whole,

00:45:24.100 his whole term

00:45:24.660 to conjure up

00:45:26.000 a health scandal

00:45:26.760 around Donald Trump.

00:45:28.820 And things really

00:45:29.640 went into overdrive

00:45:30.360 over the weekend.

00:45:31.320 And Trump addressed that

00:45:32.780 in a press conference

00:45:33.740 yesterday.

00:45:34.820 Let's listen.

00:45:36.200 It's sort of crazy,

00:45:37.500 but last week

00:45:38.220 I did numerous

00:45:39.380 news conferences,

00:45:40.160 all successful.

00:45:41.440 They went very well,

00:45:42.240 like this is going

00:45:42.940 very well.

00:45:44.080 And then I didn't do

00:45:45.860 any for two days

00:45:46.680 and they said

00:45:47.280 there must be

00:45:48.160 something wrong

00:45:48.760 with him.

00:45:49.780 Biden wouldn't do

00:45:50.540 him for months.

00:45:51.520 You wouldn't see him.

00:45:52.560 And nobody ever said

00:45:53.620 there was ever

00:45:54.240 anything wrong with him

00:45:55.340 and we know

00:45:56.000 he wasn't in

00:45:56.640 the greatest of shape.

00:45:57.960 No,

00:45:58.220 I heard that.

00:45:58.740 I get reports.

00:46:00.380 Now,

00:46:00.860 you knew I did

00:46:01.500 an interview

00:46:02.080 that lasted

00:46:02.640 for about an hour

00:46:03.540 and a half

00:46:03.980 with somebody

00:46:04.780 and everybody

00:46:05.400 saw that was

00:46:06.020 on one of your

00:46:07.300 competitors.

00:46:08.560 I did numerous

00:46:09.700 shows and also

00:46:11.480 did a number

00:46:12.600 of truths,

00:46:13.360 long truths,

00:46:14.160 I think pretty

00:46:14.780 poignant truths.

00:46:16.420 No,

00:46:16.580 I was very active

00:46:17.240 over the weekend.

00:46:18.000 They also knew

00:46:18.640 I went out

00:46:19.480 to visit some people

00:46:20.420 at the club

00:46:21.900 that I own

00:46:22.560 pretty nearby

00:46:23.960 on the Potomac River.

00:46:25.880 And no,

00:46:26.600 I've been very active

00:46:27.340 actually over the weekend.

00:46:28.460 I didn't hear that one.

00:46:29.360 That's pretty serious.

00:46:30.200 Well,

00:46:31.740 it's fake news.

00:46:32.480 You know,

00:46:32.620 it's just so,

00:46:33.340 it's so fake.

00:46:34.580 That's why

00:46:35.060 the media

00:46:36.460 has so little

00:46:37.440 credibility.

00:46:38.800 I knew they were

00:46:40.280 saying like,

00:46:41.220 is he okay?

00:46:42.100 How's he feeling?

00:46:43.000 What's wrong?

00:46:44.000 I said,

00:46:44.500 I just left.

00:46:45.760 And it's also

00:46:46.560 sort of a longer

00:46:47.340 weekend,

00:46:47.980 you know,

00:46:48.300 it's Labor Day weekend.

00:46:49.300 So I would say

00:46:50.260 a lot of people know

00:46:50.940 I was very active

00:46:51.760 this Labor Day.

00:46:53.120 I had heard that,

00:46:54.140 but I didn't hear

00:46:54.720 it to that extent.

00:46:56.080 Well,

00:46:56.540 he's right,

00:46:57.000 of course.

00:46:57.500 Trump has been

00:46:58.240 more visible,

00:46:58.980 more reachable,

00:46:59.760 more transparent.

00:47:00.200 through his first

00:47:01.400 eight months in office

00:47:02.200 than Biden was

00:47:03.400 in four years

00:47:04.420 cumulatively.

00:47:05.860 Not even close.

00:47:06.980 Trump is constantly

00:47:07.620 doing press conferences,

00:47:08.580 interviews,

00:47:09.040 speeches,

00:47:09.620 and so on.

00:47:10.980 That's how he's always been.

00:47:12.900 That's how he continues

00:47:13.840 to operate.

00:47:15.860 Even while he had

00:47:17.240 supposedly disappeared

00:47:18.300 for three days,

00:47:18.960 he was still putting out

00:47:19.800 posts.

00:47:20.620 He put out that post

00:47:21.340 where he was complaining

00:47:21.940 about the contractors

00:47:22.820 who worked on

00:47:23.840 the Rose Garden.

00:47:26.500 This is while he was

00:47:27.600 supposedly deathly sick

00:47:29.060 or something.

00:47:31.840 Now,

00:47:32.340 granted,

00:47:33.000 I wouldn't put it

00:47:34.240 past Trump

00:47:34.800 to be on his deathbed

00:47:36.040 moments away

00:47:37.100 from expiring

00:47:38.860 and yet still

00:47:40.560 complaining about

00:47:41.360 the shoddy work

00:47:42.260 done by his contractors.

00:47:43.520 I wouldn't put that

00:47:44.620 past him.

00:47:44.960 And I say that

00:47:45.360 with respect.

00:47:45.880 That's the great

00:47:47.380 thing about Trump.

00:47:48.800 But anyway,

00:47:49.260 he's not on his deathbed.

00:47:50.220 He's doing fine.

00:47:51.220 And I just want you

00:47:53.160 to think about

00:47:53.820 the shamelessness

00:47:55.060 of the left here.

00:47:56.740 They covered up

00:47:57.380 and lied about

00:47:57.940 Biden's health

00:47:58.680 for four years.

00:47:59.580 They gaslighted.

00:48:01.560 We could see the guy

00:48:02.500 falling apart

00:48:03.200 in front of us.

00:48:03.840 We could see

00:48:04.240 that the president

00:48:04.780 was in a state

00:48:05.440 of decomposition.

00:48:07.680 We had a president

00:48:08.640 who looked like

00:48:09.300 he'd been excavated.

00:48:11.140 He looked like

00:48:11.640 he was dug out

00:48:12.820 of the ground

00:48:13.240 by grave robbers.

00:48:15.360 And we could all

00:48:15.860 see that.

00:48:16.780 We could all see

00:48:17.600 and hear

00:48:17.980 and hear

00:48:20.080 that he couldn't

00:48:20.500 speak.

00:48:20.860 He couldn't string

00:48:21.280 together two

00:48:21.880 coherent sentences

00:48:22.880 in a row.

00:48:23.300 And they still

00:48:24.520 gaslighted us.

00:48:25.260 They lied.

00:48:25.840 They told us

00:48:26.260 everything was fine.

00:48:27.080 And then the moment

00:48:28.200 their guy's out of office,

00:48:29.340 now all of a sudden

00:48:30.720 they're super concerned

00:48:31.780 about the health

00:48:32.460 of the president.

00:48:33.920 Biden went weeks

00:48:34.980 without being seen.

00:48:37.260 Right?

00:48:37.900 He gave like

00:48:38.620 two press conferences

00:48:39.340 his entire term.

00:48:40.640 Trump goes a day

00:48:41.400 and a half

00:48:41.920 without being seen

00:48:42.980 on camera

00:48:43.520 over Memorial,

00:48:44.720 over a rather

00:48:45.300 Labor Day weekend.

00:48:46.980 And they treat it

00:48:48.060 like it's a national

00:48:48.680 emergency.

00:48:49.700 Totally shameless.

00:48:50.440 And this is

00:48:53.000 exactly why

00:48:53.840 I say that

00:48:54.560 we need to

00:48:55.080 take full advantage

00:48:55.920 of the power

00:48:57.000 we have right now

00:48:58.060 and do everything

00:48:59.100 we possibly can

00:48:59.900 to advance our agenda

00:49:00.940 no matter what.

00:49:02.280 All the concerns

00:49:03.280 about,

00:49:04.360 well,

00:49:04.660 if we do it,

00:49:05.280 then the left

00:49:05.700 will do it.

00:49:06.900 All that stuff,

00:49:07.880 all those concerns

00:49:08.500 are bunk.

00:49:09.120 They're nonsense. 0.95

00:49:09.980 And as they are

00:49:11.100 proving once again,

00:49:12.540 they will do

00:49:13.100 whatever they want

00:49:13.800 to do,

00:49:14.280 regardless of

00:49:15.160 what we do.

00:49:16.440 They don't need

00:49:17.120 us to establish

00:49:17.940 the precedent.

00:49:19.500 They don't need

00:49:20.140 our permission.

00:49:21.300 They're going

00:49:21.780 to pursue

00:49:22.160 their goals

00:49:22.760 and push 0.99

00:49:23.580 their agenda

00:49:24.120 and fight

00:49:24.700 dirty every step

00:49:25.420 of the way.

00:49:26.760 You hear even

00:49:27.580 people at

00:49:27.960 conservatives now,

00:49:28.720 they've expressed

00:49:29.660 this concern

00:49:30.200 about Trump

00:49:31.500 using the National

00:49:32.180 Guard.

00:49:33.300 They say,

00:49:33.480 well,

00:49:33.560 if Trump does

00:49:34.100 this,

00:49:34.480 then what if

00:49:35.480 the Democrats

00:49:35.880 go in and do it?

00:49:37.220 If Democrats

00:49:37.980 are going to do

00:49:38.440 that,

00:49:38.720 they're going

00:49:38.960 to do it.

00:49:39.420 They don't need

00:49:40.760 us to,

00:49:41.820 they're not

00:49:42.120 looking at us

00:49:42.640 and saying,

00:49:43.420 well,

00:49:43.880 we're only going

00:49:44.560 to go as far

00:49:45.260 as they went.

00:49:46.440 That is not

00:49:47.480 how Democrats

00:49:48.520 operate.

00:49:50.520 So if they

00:49:51.140 feel like they

00:49:51.840 want to do

00:49:52.200 that,

00:49:52.460 they'll do

00:49:53.020 it.

00:49:55.320 And they

00:49:55.840 did,

00:49:56.120 they did,

00:49:56.880 in fact,

00:49:57.160 do that.

00:49:58.360 I mean,

00:49:58.680 they militarized

00:50:00.120 Washington,

00:50:00.700 D.C.,

00:50:01.040 if you don't

00:50:01.440 recall,

00:50:02.120 for a long

00:50:03.120 period of

00:50:03.520 time after

00:50:04.300 January 6th.

00:50:06.600 So,

00:50:07.320 so they're

00:50:09.020 not waiting

00:50:09.360 for precedent.

00:50:09.960 They're not

00:50:10.180 waiting for

00:50:10.540 permission.

00:50:11.300 And so we

00:50:11.940 should just

00:50:13.240 ruthlessly pursue

00:50:14.220 our agenda,

00:50:15.840 throw caution

00:50:16.360 to the wind.

00:50:18.440 All right,

00:50:18.880 finally,

00:50:19.140 before we get

00:50:19.440 to the

00:50:19.700 daily

00:50:19.880 cancellation,

00:50:20.620 you know,

00:50:21.360 this is

00:50:21.560 something I

00:50:21.900 wanted to

00:50:22.180 mention,

00:50:22.460 something

00:50:22.660 non-political.

00:50:24.280 Actually,

00:50:24.660 I want to

00:50:24.920 stick up for

00:50:25.460 someone or

00:50:26.280 a couple of

00:50:26.740 people,

00:50:27.180 a few people.

00:50:28.800 So maybe

00:50:29.320 you saw this

00:50:29.860 viral video.

00:50:30.540 It's a video

00:50:30.860 from Hershey

00:50:31.360 Park a few

00:50:31.880 days ago.

00:50:33.080 And it's a

00:50:33.680 terrifying moment

00:50:34.400 when a young

00:50:34.880 boy,

00:50:35.100 looks to be

00:50:35.380 about three

00:50:35.700 or four,

00:50:36.920 is seen

00:50:37.520 walking on

00:50:38.100 the tracks

00:50:38.780 of the

00:50:39.400 monorail

00:50:40.040 at this

00:50:41.680 park,

00:50:42.300 100 feet

00:50:42.820 off the

00:50:43.140 ground.

00:50:44.160 And the

00:50:44.640 monorail is,

00:50:45.380 I guess,

00:50:45.540 one of those

00:50:45.940 sightseeing

00:50:46.420 things at

00:50:46.800 the park,

00:50:47.420 goes along

00:50:48.720 above the

00:50:49.260 park,

00:50:49.640 and it

00:50:49.980 runs on

00:50:50.440 a singular

00:50:51.720 rail,

00:50:52.520 hence the

00:50:52.980 name.

00:50:53.580 And this

00:50:54.160 boy was

00:50:54.540 walking on

00:50:55.200 that rail

00:50:55.620 by himself.

00:50:58.020 Apparently,

00:50:58.480 the boy got

00:50:58.800 separated from

00:50:59.280 his parents.

00:50:59.820 He'd been

00:51:00.020 reported missing

00:51:00.600 just a few

00:51:01.020 minutes before

00:51:01.520 this.

00:51:02.340 He wandered

00:51:03.080 away from

00:51:03.360 his parents

00:51:03.680 somehow,

00:51:04.120 and in the

00:51:04.560 span of

00:51:04.860 just 15

00:51:05.220 or 20

00:51:05.460 minutes,

00:51:06.020 he ends

00:51:06.280 up walking

00:51:06.860 out on

00:51:07.520 this monorail

00:51:08.240 that was

00:51:08.580 closed,

00:51:09.160 but apparently

00:51:09.680 not blocked

00:51:10.900 off well

00:51:11.420 enough.

00:51:11.720 And here's

00:51:13.820 the video,

00:51:14.160 watch.

00:51:29.400 Stop! 1.00

00:51:30.300 Keep going!

00:51:31.140 No!

00:51:31.640 No,

00:51:32.220 keep going!

00:51:34.540 No,

00:51:35.200 this way!

00:51:35.740 No!

00:51:36.200 No!

00:51:36.700 No!

00:51:37.260 No!

00:51:37.460 No!

00:51:37.700 No!

00:51:38.060 No!

00:51:38.160 No!

00:51:38.280 No!

00:51:38.300 No!

00:51:38.700 No!

00:51:38.800 No!

00:51:38.840 No!

00:51:39.260 No!

00:51:39.380 No!

00:51:39.760 No!

00:51:39.860 No!

00:51:40.260 No!

00:51:40.760 No!

00:51:41.220 No!

00:51:41.300 No!

00:51:41.700 No!

00:51:58.720 So,

00:52:03.240 thank God

00:52:03.480 the child

00:52:03.800 was fine.

00:52:04.480 He was

00:52:04.640 unhurt.

00:52:05.260 A man

00:52:05.820 jumped up

00:52:06.240 on the

00:52:06.460 roof

00:52:06.660 of the

00:52:06.960 snack

00:52:07.200 bar

00:52:07.400 there

00:52:07.660 and

00:52:07.960 then

00:52:08.120 onto

00:52:08.380 the

00:52:08.560 rail

00:52:08.800 and

00:52:09.220 grabbed

00:52:09.720 the

00:52:09.920 kid.

00:52:10.560 Apparently,

00:52:10.920 the man

00:52:11.160 was not

00:52:11.660 the kid's

00:52:12.160 father,

00:52:13.080 just a

00:52:13.380 concerned

00:52:13.720 stranger,

00:52:14.860 a good

00:52:15.440 Samaritan.

00:52:16.820 Unfortunately,

00:52:17.300 it turned out

00:52:17.640 okay,

00:52:18.140 with no help

00:52:18.780 from that

00:52:19.120 crowd,

00:52:19.540 by the way,

00:52:20.440 shouting very

00:52:21.160 confusing and

00:52:21.940 contradictory

00:52:22.400 commands at

00:52:23.460 this child.

00:52:25.460 It is kind

00:52:26.380 of,

00:52:26.580 it's interesting,

00:52:27.400 you see the

00:52:27.980 dynamic between

00:52:28.880 the sort of

00:52:29.680 confused,

00:52:30.600 panicked

00:52:30.960 mob,

00:52:31.760 and then the

00:52:32.900 one decisive

00:52:33.700 guy who

00:52:34.380 decides to go

00:52:34.960 up and

00:52:35.220 actually do

00:52:35.820 something about

00:52:36.120 it.

00:52:36.220 Meanwhile,

00:52:36.700 you have

00:52:36.920 this mob

00:52:37.440 of people

00:52:38.000 yelling

00:52:39.480 these

00:52:39.820 commands,

00:52:40.380 stop,

00:52:40.780 keep

00:52:40.900 going,

00:52:41.300 no,

00:52:41.420 go that

00:52:41.680 way,

00:52:41.960 no,

00:52:42.160 go that

00:52:42.420 way.

00:52:43.240 And this

00:52:43.720 kid's up

00:52:44.100 on the

00:52:44.320 rail,

00:52:44.660 in fact,

00:52:45.160 you even

00:52:45.420 hear the

00:52:45.860 guy who

00:52:46.840 had the

00:52:47.040 camera,

00:52:47.360 the guy

00:52:47.560 that was

00:52:47.780 filming

00:52:48.060 this,

00:52:49.000 says at

00:52:49.360 one point,

00:52:49.900 stop,

00:52:50.520 keep

00:52:50.760 going.

00:52:52.560 What do

00:52:53.200 you mean

00:52:53.320 stop,

00:52:53.780 keep

00:52:53.880 going?

00:52:54.420 So you

00:52:54.680 want me

00:52:54.880 to stop

00:52:55.340 going or

00:52:55.920 keep going?

00:52:56.500 What do

00:52:56.640 you want?

00:52:58.980 So,

00:52:59.500 but anyway,

00:52:59.880 it turned

00:53:00.160 out fine.

00:53:00.560 Nobody was

00:53:00.860 hurt.

00:53:01.760 And then a

00:53:01.980 couple days

00:53:06.220 a five-year-old

00:53:06.840 boy,

00:53:08.920 so another

00:53:09.540 boy,

00:53:09.740 a boy in

00:53:10.180 both of

00:53:10.480 these stories,

00:53:10.980 unsurprisingly,

00:53:11.780 who left

00:53:12.680 his parents'

00:53:13.340 house early

00:53:14.060 in the

00:53:14.280 morning by

00:53:15.100 himself and

00:53:16.400 walked to

00:53:16.960 Chick-fil-A,

00:53:18.360 which was

00:53:19.060 apparently down

00:53:19.520 the street.

00:53:20.720 And then the

00:53:21.660 cops showed

00:53:22.040 up because

00:53:22.500 Chick-fil-A

00:53:23.660 called the

00:53:24.060 police.

00:53:25.160 And let's

00:53:26.220 watch that.

00:53:28.380 We arrived

00:53:29.160 on scene.

00:53:29.860 Hello.

00:53:30.300 Hello.

00:53:30.940 And as we

00:53:31.640 walked in,

00:53:32.200 we see a

00:53:33.080 little kid

00:53:33.580 sitting at

00:53:34.060 the table

00:53:34.600 eating his

00:53:35.020 breakfast with

00:53:35.620 one of the

00:53:36.000 managers.

00:53:36.580 Hey, buddy.

00:53:37.380 Oh, look

00:53:38.320 at that.

00:53:39.340 We asked

00:53:39.740 where he came

00:53:40.180 from, and

00:53:40.620 he kept

00:53:40.920 saying he

00:53:41.640 walked to

00:53:42.080 Chick-fil-A.

00:53:42.600 You know

00:53:42.860 where your

00:53:43.120 house is,

00:53:43.600 right, honey?

00:53:44.340 It's

00:53:44.660 right across

00:53:45.420 this street

00:53:46.220 right over

00:53:46.880 there.

00:53:47.740 OK, cool.

00:53:48.700 I have

00:53:49.020 children, and

00:53:49.720 you know,

00:53:49.940 the first thing,

00:53:50.520 you know,

00:53:50.660 you get that

00:53:51.100 knot in your

00:53:51.640 stomach because

00:53:52.400 you know,

00:53:52.940 somebody else

00:53:53.480 who's a

00:53:53.840 parent is

00:53:54.800 missing their

00:53:55.300 child.

00:53:55.780 Are you

00:53:55.900 going to

00:53:56.060 show us

00:53:56.360 where you

00:53:56.640 live?

00:53:57.220 Yeah.

00:53:57.660 OK.

00:53:58.200 We gathered

00:53:58.640 him up.

00:53:59.140 Look at

00:53:59.400 that.

00:53:59.900 Say thank

00:54:00.320 you.

00:54:00.880 Here's

00:54:01.040 California.

00:54:02.000 I walked

00:54:02.280 him to

00:54:02.580 the back

00:54:03.380 of my

00:54:03.640 patrol car.

00:54:04.480 Are you

00:54:04.780 going to

00:54:05.020 get me

00:54:05.320 a jail?

00:54:06.160 No, I'm

00:54:06.760 not going

00:54:07.140 to put you

00:54:07.540 in jail.

00:54:08.020 And we

00:54:08.260 started

00:54:08.580 checking

00:54:08.960 here.

00:54:09.360 All right,

00:54:09.660 buddy,

00:54:09.880 where's

00:54:10.100 your house

00:54:10.500 at?

00:54:10.880 We're

00:54:11.140 wondering

00:54:11.680 where did

00:54:12.060 this child

00:54:12.460 come from?

00:54:13.080 Is it

00:54:13.320 right here?

00:54:13.940 None of

00:54:14.240 these doors

00:54:14.620 are open.

00:54:15.120 None of

00:54:15.320 these garages

00:54:15.880 are open.

00:54:16.520 I don't

00:54:16.980 live in a

00:54:17.680 duck pond.

00:54:18.920 So then he

00:54:19.580 explained that

00:54:20.400 he had a

00:54:21.220 white fence.

00:54:22.080 That's where

00:54:22.720 it is.

00:54:23.060 Right here?

00:54:23.840 Yeah.

00:54:24.340 And that's

00:54:24.720 when we

00:54:25.000 pulled up

00:54:25.500 in the

00:54:25.740 driveway.

00:54:26.920 Okay, so

00:54:27.420 they returned

00:54:27.860 the child to

00:54:28.340 his parents

00:54:28.800 who didn't

00:54:29.740 even know

00:54:30.040 he was

00:54:30.280 gone.

00:54:30.680 They thought

00:54:30.920 he was

00:54:31.080 still asleep

00:54:31.560 upstairs in

00:54:32.220 his room.

00:54:33.440 And they

00:54:33.880 were shocked,

00:54:34.400 as you can

00:54:34.680 imagine.

00:54:36.460 But everything

00:54:37.060 turned out fine

00:54:37.660 there, too.

00:54:38.180 So fortunately,

00:54:38.740 in both cases,

00:54:39.280 the kid was

00:54:39.620 not hurt,

00:54:40.260 although could

00:54:40.960 have been.

00:54:42.460 And here's

00:54:42.740 what I want

00:54:42.960 to say about

00:54:43.340 both these

00:54:43.720 stories.

00:54:44.160 And I don't

00:54:44.740 know anything

00:54:45.060 about the

00:54:45.380 parents in

00:54:45.820 these cases.

00:54:46.940 There's been

00:54:47.400 a lot of

00:54:47.680 criticism of

00:54:48.460 the parents.

00:54:48.980 A lot of

00:54:49.220 the commentary

00:54:49.720 on social

00:54:50.160 media that

00:54:51.020 I've seen

00:54:51.620 about these

00:54:52.780 two viral

00:54:55.500 how the

00:54:55.800 parents are

00:54:56.440 extremely

00:54:56.860 careless and 0.98

00:54:57.660 incompetent. 0.99

00:54:58.340 What kind 0.91

00:54:58.600 of parent

00:54:58.900 would let

00:54:59.180 their kid

00:54:59.520 wander off

00:55:00.040 like that?

00:55:01.080 Only a

00:55:01.620 very bad

00:55:02.300 parent would

00:55:02.880 have a

00:55:03.100 child walking

00:55:03.760 on the

00:55:04.080 monorail at

00:55:04.760 Hershey Park

00:55:05.340 or walking

00:55:06.260 into a

00:55:06.640 Chick-fil-A

00:55:06.980 by himself.

00:55:08.160 And look,

00:55:08.760 I get it.

00:55:09.320 I understand

00:55:09.920 that point of

00:55:10.520 view.

00:55:10.760 I used to

00:55:11.160 feel the

00:55:11.500 same way.

00:55:13.360 I'd see

00:55:13.900 or hear about

00:55:14.420 a child who

00:55:14.900 ends up in

00:55:15.300 a very

00:55:15.540 precarious or

00:55:16.220 dangerous

00:55:16.540 situation like

00:55:17.460 this.

00:55:18.500 And I

00:55:19.020 would think,

00:55:19.560 you know,

00:55:19.960 wow, what 0.97

00:55:20.480 awful parents.

00:55:21.520 How negligent 1.00

00:55:22.720 do you have

00:55:23.060 to be that

00:55:24.440 your kid was

00:55:25.980 able to do

00:55:26.420 that and

00:55:27.000 you didn't

00:55:27.280 notice.

00:55:28.640 But I

00:55:29.800 have learned

00:55:30.240 to be much

00:55:30.640 more

00:55:30.840 understanding.

00:55:31.500 I have

00:55:31.700 learned that

00:55:32.540 this kind

00:55:33.040 of snap

00:55:33.480 judgment of

00:55:34.520 parents is

00:55:35.240 unfair.

00:55:36.060 So I'm

00:55:36.580 going to

00:55:36.740 stick up

00:55:37.040 for the

00:55:37.240 parents in

00:55:37.580 these stories.

00:55:38.180 I don't

00:55:38.480 know anything

00:55:38.780 about them.

00:55:39.700 Maybe it'll

00:55:40.040 turn out that

00:55:40.520 they're total 0.96

00:55:40.900 deadbeats and 0.93

00:55:41.480 then I'll 1.00

00:55:41.720 look stupid 1.00

00:55:42.080 for defending 1.00

00:55:42.520 them.

00:55:42.960 I don't

00:55:43.220 know.

00:55:43.520 I mean,

00:55:43.720 I have no

00:55:44.060 clue.

00:55:44.680 All I will

00:55:45.120 say is that

00:55:45.660 you don't

00:55:46.160 need to be a

00:55:46.840 deadbeat or

00:55:47.440 a bad parent to

00:55:48.160 end up in a

00:55:48.700 situation like

00:55:49.280 this with

00:55:49.840 your kid.

00:55:51.240 What I've

00:55:51.860 learned through

00:55:52.320 six kids is

00:55:53.260 that you will

00:55:54.520 get way more

00:55:55.220 blame or

00:55:57.140 credit for the

00:55:58.820 natural temperament

00:56:00.100 of your child

00:56:00.760 than you deserve.

00:56:02.980 And so much

00:56:03.920 really does come

00:56:04.640 down to your

00:56:05.380 child's natural

00:56:06.160 temperament,

00:56:06.660 their personality.

00:56:07.340 Not everything.

00:56:08.040 You know, I'm not

00:56:08.380 saying the

00:56:08.700 parent's job is

00:56:09.380 unimportant,

00:56:09.980 obviously.

00:56:10.780 The parent can do

00:56:11.540 quite a lot to

00:56:12.160 determine what

00:56:12.560 kind of person

00:56:13.140 the child ends

00:56:13.840 up being, but

00:56:15.280 there is still

00:56:16.580 natural temperament.

00:56:17.560 So if you're

00:56:18.260 a parent and

00:56:19.100 you have a

00:56:19.460 child who

00:56:20.060 would never

00:56:20.520 in a million

00:56:20.980 years run

00:56:22.420 off at Hershey

00:56:22.940 Park and

00:56:23.720 climb up on

00:56:24.340 the monorail or

00:56:25.800 escape your

00:56:26.420 house at, you

00:56:27.520 know, six in the

00:56:28.080 morning to go to

00:56:28.600 Chick-fil-A,

00:56:29.960 well, then good

00:56:30.540 for you.

00:56:31.060 But that's got

00:56:32.240 nothing to do

00:56:33.040 with your

00:56:33.940 parenting skills.

00:56:34.780 I got to tell

00:56:35.240 you, if you're

00:56:36.240 looking at that

00:56:36.620 and say, my

00:56:36.860 kids would never

00:56:37.500 do that.

00:56:37.900 Well, you

00:56:39.040 know, good, but

00:56:40.560 it's really, it's

00:56:41.440 not because you're

00:56:41.980 a good parent.

00:56:42.520 I'm not saying

00:56:42.900 you're not a

00:56:43.220 good parent, but

00:56:43.760 it's got nothing

00:56:44.580 to do.

00:56:44.860 Like you're

00:56:45.080 giving yourself,

00:56:47.560 but you don't

00:56:48.480 really deserve

00:56:48.960 that pat on the

00:56:49.460 back.

00:56:50.160 You just ended

00:56:51.080 up with a kid

00:56:51.920 who isn't as

00:56:52.720 adventurous as

00:56:53.560 that.

00:56:53.940 And I say this

00:56:54.680 as someone who

00:56:55.840 had four kids

00:56:56.700 who were not as

00:56:57.980 adventurous as

00:56:58.660 that, you know,

00:56:59.580 as these boys in

00:57:00.340 these stories,

00:57:01.540 pretty adventurous.

00:57:02.440 I mean, all my

00:57:02.840 kids are, but not

00:57:03.700 like that.

00:57:04.700 And so I'd hear a

00:57:05.880 story like this,

00:57:06.400 even after four

00:57:06.940 kids, and I

00:57:07.360 would think, you

00:57:08.140 know, man, what

00:57:08.800 terrible parents.

00:57:10.320 And then we had

00:57:11.140 our twin boys,

00:57:13.520 numbers five and

00:57:14.440 six, and, you

00:57:16.520 know, they come

00:57:16.920 along, we've

00:57:17.480 already, by the

00:57:17.920 time they were

00:57:18.460 born, we'd

00:57:19.480 been in this

00:57:19.880 parenting game

00:57:20.660 for over a

00:57:21.380 decade, and

00:57:22.300 we'd had four

00:57:22.820 kids, which by

00:57:23.680 modern standards

00:57:24.560 is a lot.

00:57:26.260 And so we felt

00:57:27.080 pretty good.

00:57:27.500 We felt like we

00:57:27.920 kind of had this

00:57:28.340 thing figured

00:57:28.700 out.

00:57:29.720 And now we

00:57:31.680 have these boys,

00:57:32.960 and they're

00:57:33.380 exactly the kinds

00:57:34.360 of kids who

00:57:35.040 would do

00:57:35.300 something like

00:57:35.680 that.

00:57:36.920 Now I look

00:57:37.820 at that video,

00:57:38.400 and I go, oh

00:57:39.060 my gosh, I

00:57:39.580 get that, yep,

00:57:40.520 I can see that

00:57:41.640 happening.

00:57:42.240 I can totally

00:57:43.220 see them doing

00:57:44.800 that, if they

00:57:46.380 could get away

00:57:46.940 with it.

00:57:47.480 They are

00:57:47.980 extremely

00:57:48.560 adventurous,

00:57:49.280 they are

00:57:49.500 very, very

00:57:50.220 curious, totally

00:57:51.840 fearless, love

00:57:54.080 to climb stuff,

00:57:55.920 love to explore,

00:57:58.260 and yeah, they're

00:57:59.620 the kinds of

00:58:00.020 kids that would

00:58:00.380 end up in a

00:58:00.740 viral video.

00:58:01.420 We put a lot

00:58:02.640 of deliberate

00:58:04.500 effort into making

00:58:05.720 sure that they

00:58:06.660 don't do something

00:58:07.060 wild like that.

00:58:08.740 Now most kids

00:58:09.780 wouldn't do those

00:58:11.920 things because

00:58:12.400 they're too

00:58:12.960 scared.

00:58:13.320 most kids would 0.50

00:58:14.920 not do that.

00:58:16.060 If you have a

00:58:16.540 kid who's never

00:58:17.140 wandered off,

00:58:18.260 never walked out

00:58:18.980 of the house

00:58:19.340 by himself,

00:58:20.540 that kind of

00:58:21.000 thing, well

00:58:21.880 that's just like

00:58:22.340 yeah, most kids

00:58:22.920 wouldn't do that

00:58:23.560 because they'd

00:58:23.860 just be too

00:58:24.300 scared to do

00:58:24.860 it.

00:58:25.280 But some

00:58:25.720 kids have a

00:58:26.180 curiosity and a

00:58:27.060 sense of

00:58:27.320 adventure that

00:58:27.980 overrides that

00:58:29.660 fear.

00:58:30.340 And that could

00:58:31.320 be a very good

00:58:32.080 thing in the

00:58:33.520 long run.

00:58:33.960 You can harness

00:58:34.420 that.

00:58:35.040 It can lead to

00:58:36.100 a wonderful and

00:58:37.000 fulfilling life when

00:58:37.880 you have a kid

00:58:38.480 who's like that

00:58:39.280 has that, I

00:58:40.200 mean that kid in

00:58:40.680 that, when I'm

00:58:41.040 looking at that

00:58:41.520 Chick-fil-A video,

00:58:43.280 that's a kid who

00:58:43.760 can go places in

00:58:45.540 life.

00:58:46.260 But in the meantime

00:58:47.120 he's going to go

00:58:47.580 places you don't

00:58:48.020 want him to go.

00:58:49.300 But if you can

00:58:50.380 keep him alive for

00:58:51.540 the next 15 years

00:58:53.380 or so, that's a

00:58:54.460 kid that could go

00:58:54.920 be a world beater.

00:58:56.580 But it's the

00:58:57.740 keeping them under

00:58:58.600 control in the

00:58:59.220 meantime that's the

00:58:59.820 hard part.

00:59:00.800 And this is the

00:59:01.260 one thing I've

00:59:01.680 learned.

00:59:01.880 Like I said,

00:59:02.320 every child is

00:59:02.880 different.

00:59:03.760 And if there's a

00:59:04.460 parenting challenge

00:59:05.280 that you haven't

00:59:05.740 had to deal with,

00:59:07.040 well that's

00:59:07.480 probably because

00:59:08.360 you just got

00:59:09.000 lucky.

00:59:09.760 It's not because

00:59:10.480 you're the greatest

00:59:10.900 parent on earth,

00:59:11.460 it's because your

00:59:12.000 kid just doesn't

00:59:12.760 happen to have

00:59:13.700 that tendency or

00:59:15.220 that personality.

00:59:17.780 And again, not

00:59:19.260 that there isn't a

00:59:20.880 lot parents can

00:59:21.620 do, but to

00:59:24.340 determine what

00:59:25.740 kind of person

00:59:26.740 your child ends

00:59:28.140 up being, but

00:59:29.520 personality and

00:59:30.360 temperament to a

00:59:31.040 large extent will

00:59:33.200 be whatever they

00:59:34.160 are.

00:59:35.080 And I see this

00:59:37.260 when you have a

00:59:37.780 lot of kids, you

00:59:38.260 start to see

00:59:38.720 this because we

00:59:40.160 have, you know,

00:59:40.620 with six kids,

00:59:41.260 we've got kids

00:59:42.220 who are very

00:59:43.180 adventurous, some

00:59:43.920 who are a little

00:59:44.500 bit less so, we

00:59:45.220 have kids who are

00:59:45.800 more cautious, we

00:59:46.600 have kids who

00:59:47.040 are huge

00:59:47.940 extroverts, kids

00:59:49.060 that are a lot

00:59:49.480 more introverted.

00:59:51.420 And all these

00:59:52.340 kids were raised

00:59:53.040 in the same

00:59:53.440 house by the

00:59:54.200 same parents in

00:59:54.980 the same way,

00:59:56.100 identical

00:59:56.620 upbringing,

00:59:57.440 everything's the

00:59:58.000 same, same

00:59:58.840 sort of like

00:59:59.720 punishments,

01:00:00.460 everything's the

01:00:01.000 same, you know,

01:00:02.160 and yet they end

01:00:04.020 up being wildly

01:00:05.040 different people

01:00:05.720 because that's

01:00:06.860 what you're doing

01:00:07.980 as a parent, you're

01:00:08.500 raising human

01:00:09.140 beings who make

01:00:10.740 choices and have

01:00:12.040 personalities and

01:00:13.600 that's what you run

01:00:15.140 into here.

01:00:17.020 So that's my, I

01:00:19.120 don't know, word of

01:00:19.760 encouragement for the

01:00:20.320 day.

01:00:21.180 If you're still

01:00:21.660 stressed about back

01:00:22.380 taxes, maybe you

01:00:23.220 missed the April

01:00:23.740 deadline or your

01:00:24.760 books are a mess,

01:00:25.680 don't wait any

01:00:26.240 longer than you

01:00:26.780 already have.

01:00:27.540 The IRS is

01:00:28.260 cracking down,

01:00:28.960 penalties add up

01:00:31.720 up to 25% just for

01:00:33.700 not filing, but

01:00:34.660 there is help.

01:01:18.020 year we're celebrating

01:01:18.700 a decade of Daily

01:01:19.580 Wire not by looking

01:01:20.480 back, but by

01:01:21.260 launching what's

01:01:22.100 next.

01:01:22.520 First up, Monday

01:01:23.200 for the first time

01:01:24.000 in years, we're

01:01:24.720 bringing in brand

01:01:25.600 new Daily Wire

01:01:26.140 talent with the

01:01:27.020 premiere of the

01:01:27.520 Isabel Brown Show.

01:01:28.800 Then, next

01:01:29.500 Wednesday night, the

01:01:30.300 main event, Friendly

01:01:31.420 Fire.

01:01:31.880 All of us getting

01:01:32.460 together to do

01:01:33.340 what friends do,

01:01:34.220 argue, debate, and

01:01:35.180 probably smoke a few

01:01:36.180 Mayflower cigars.

01:01:37.180 Don't miss the

01:01:37.600 premiere because

01:01:38.220 during Friendly Fire,

01:01:40.140 going to be dropping

01:01:40.660 the good stuff.

01:01:41.420 New series, new

01:01:42.080 projects, huge

01:01:43.040 announcements, surprises

01:01:44.280 we've been holding

01:01:44.820 back until now.

01:01:45.880 This is the start of

01:01:46.600 our next decade and

01:01:47.580 you don't want to

01:01:48.200 miss a single

01:01:48.880 moment.

01:01:49.520 Join us now at

01:01:50.220 DailyWire.com.

01:01:51.500 Now let's get to

01:01:52.400 our Daily

01:01:52.680 Cancellation.

01:01:59.560 Just a few weeks

01:02:00.300 ago, it seemed

01:02:00.800 like Zoran

01:02:01.520 Mamdani was a 0.89

01:02:02.960 shoo-in to be the 0.99

01:02:03.860 next mayor of

01:02:04.560 New York.

01:02:05.100 Residents of

01:02:05.660 the Big Apple

01:02:06.200 couldn't get

01:02:07.100 enough of his

01:02:07.640 plan to freeze

01:02:08.560 rent, nationalize

01:02:09.640 the grocery store,

01:02:10.440 defund the

01:02:10.820 police, cure

01:02:11.540 monkeypox, provide

01:02:13.140 free puppies to

01:02:13.880 the homeless, as

01:02:15.080 long as the

01:02:15.320 homeless people

01:02:15.660 aren't too

01:02:16.100 hungry, I

01:02:16.500 guess.

01:02:17.340 He seemed

01:02:17.960 untouchable, at

01:02:18.940 least up until

01:02:19.380 the moment

01:02:19.740 that he tried

01:02:20.160 to bench

01:02:20.480 press 130

01:02:21.240 pounds.

01:02:22.340 And that

01:02:22.600 moment, if you

01:02:23.020 trust the polls,

01:02:23.640 may have created

01:02:24.260 something of a

01:02:24.840 likability crisis

01:02:25.640 for Zoran

01:02:26.420 Mamdani.

01:02:27.480 One new poll

01:02:28.220 suggests that if

01:02:29.140 it's a head-to-head

01:02:29.680 between Mamdani

01:02:30.580 and Andrew Cuomo,

01:02:31.420 meaning the other

01:02:31.980 candidates drop out,

01:02:33.420 then Cuomo would

01:02:34.220 win by double-digit

01:02:36.040 margins.

01:02:37.160 So while things are

01:02:38.200 still looking pretty

01:02:38.820 good overall for

01:02:39.600 Mamdani, he needs

01:02:40.980 a little boost at

01:02:41.580 the moment.

01:02:41.960 His momentum is

01:02:42.740 flagging.

01:02:43.280 He needs a

01:02:43.780 pick-me-up.

01:02:45.220 And right on cue,

01:02:46.520 that pick-me-up

01:02:47.080 has arrived.

01:02:48.000 And that's because

01:02:48.740 one of the worst

01:02:49.500 mayors in American

01:02:50.240 history, and easily

01:02:51.220 one of the most 0.77

01:02:51.660 repulsive politicians 0.87

01:02:52.640 to ever hold any

01:02:53.720 kind of political

01:02:54.240 office at any

01:02:55.360 level in this

01:02:55.860 country, has just

01:02:57.360 announced his

01:02:58.080 endorsement of

01:02:58.760 Zoran Mamdani.

01:02:59.600 Yes, Bill de

01:03:00.140 Blasio, who tried

01:03:01.740 to sell the

01:03:02.140 COVID shot by

01:03:02.860 eating fries and

01:03:03.740 licking his 0.99

01:03:04.140 disgusting fingers 0.99

01:03:04.900 on camera, who 0.99

01:03:06.460 murdered a

01:03:06.880 groundhog as

01:03:07.680 children looked

01:03:08.260 on, who

01:03:09.620 transformed New

01:03:10.320 York City into

01:03:10.880 Gotham City by

01:03:11.820 suspending legal

01:03:12.720 consequences for

01:03:13.480 most crimes, has

01:03:14.820 just come out in

01:03:15.480 support of these

01:03:16.460 socialists from

01:03:17.120 Uganda, specifically

01:03:18.440 Bill de Blasio is

01:03:19.560 impressed by

01:03:21.540 Mamdani's plan to

01:03:22.420 provide a bunch of

01:03:23.120 free stuff, because

01:03:23.960 after all, free

01:03:25.340 stuff has no

01:03:25.920 downside whatsoever.

01:03:27.100 You just give it to

01:03:28.060 people, and their

01:03:29.260 lives get better.

01:03:30.720 And the best free

01:03:31.600 thing that Mamdani

01:03:32.300 wants to provide to

01:03:33.100 Bill de Blasio's mind

01:03:33.980 is free buses.

01:03:36.520 Yes, in a city where

01:03:37.280 the subway system is

01:03:38.100 overrun by 0.99

01:03:38.720 schizophrenic drifters, 0.98

01:03:40.440 Bill de Blasio is 0.97

01:03:41.220 fond of Mamdani's

01:03:42.300 plan to provide free

01:03:43.420 buses for everyone

01:03:44.680 in all five boroughs.

01:03:46.240 Watch.

01:03:47.040 Free buses.

01:03:47.600 The city of New

01:03:49.620 York runs it, just

01:03:50.360 like we run so many

01:03:51.340 other services.

01:03:52.560 And the bottom line

01:03:53.320 here is, think about

01:03:54.100 the free buses again.

01:03:55.340 Free buses has been

01:03:56.440 proven to work in

01:03:57.640 many parts of the

01:03:58.280 country.

01:03:58.640 Where?

01:03:59.200 It's, I'll get your

01:04:00.400 list of cities, but the

01:04:01.360 bottom line is, it is

01:04:03.020 something that allows

01:04:04.480 people to, one, reduce

01:04:06.520 their costs, which

01:04:07.300 people are overwhelmed

01:04:07.960 by, to get into mass

01:04:09.440 transit more.

01:04:10.560 It works because we

01:04:12.500 know that if people are

01:04:13.760 given a quality

01:04:14.580 alternative they can

01:04:15.360 afford, they'll use it.

01:04:16.380 You know, it's not

01:04:17.560 really a question of

01:04:18.360 whether Mamdani's

01:04:19.520 staff desperately

01:04:20.220 tried to prevent

01:04:20.940 this endorsement

01:04:21.480 from happening.

01:04:22.180 That's a given.

01:04:23.360 The real question is

01:04:24.100 how they went about

01:04:25.280 doing so, only to

01:04:26.160 fail.

01:04:27.140 The only rational

01:04:27.660 conclusion here is

01:04:28.340 that Bill de Blasio

01:04:29.080 is going rogue.

01:04:30.820 Maybe he actually

01:04:31.300 wants Cuomo to win,

01:04:32.340 and he's doing his

01:04:32.880 part to prevent New

01:04:33.480 York City from

01:04:33.960 falling into socialism

01:04:34.880 and total collapse.

01:04:36.620 After all, this is a

01:04:37.300 man who just wants to

01:04:38.740 eat Shake Shack and,

01:04:39.840 you know, lick his 0.99

01:04:40.880 fingers like an ogre. 0.99

01:04:42.520 Doesn't really want

01:04:43.080 socialism.

01:04:43.920 In other words, Bill

01:04:44.400 de Blasio, seeing no

01:04:45.320 political future for

01:04:45.940 himself, has become a

01:04:47.540 hero to all New Yorkers.

01:04:49.440 He's falling on his

01:04:50.260 sword, and we should

01:04:52.820 all respect that.

01:04:53.340 At least that's how I

01:04:54.040 choose to interpret

01:04:54.820 this.

01:04:55.960 And if you doubt my

01:04:56.560 interpretation of this

01:04:57.320 endorsement, let's think

01:04:58.260 about what Bill de Blasio

01:04:59.420 is saying here.

01:05:00.500 It's so obviously 0.97

01:05:01.260 ridiculous that he can't 0.96

01:05:02.320 possibly mean any of it, 0.99

01:05:03.600 even if his IQ hovers

01:05:04.980 around 75, which I'm

01:05:06.260 sure it does.

01:05:07.200 First, he announces that

01:05:08.100 he's a huge fan of the

01:05:09.660 free buses idea, and then

01:05:11.140 he makes it clear that he

01:05:12.180 can't provide a single

01:05:13.020 example of a city where

01:05:14.520 free buses have worked.

01:05:16.680 He suggests that he'll

01:05:17.740 have to get back to the

01:05:18.520 anchor about that.

01:05:19.640 Yeah, I'll get back to

01:05:20.260 you.

01:05:21.420 But I can think of a few

01:05:22.200 cities where free buses

01:05:23.260 have not panned out.

01:05:24.540 Kansas City is one of

01:05:25.340 them.

01:05:25.940 This is from the New York

01:05:27.000 Post recently, quote,

01:05:28.120 Kansas City's $50 million

01:05:29.240 experiment with free bus

01:05:30.440 fare is hitting the

01:05:31.640 brakes because the city

01:05:32.700 can no longer afford it.

01:05:34.140 The Midwest said he used

01:05:35.020 federal COVID-19 relief

01:05:36.240 money in 2020 to become

01:05:37.200 the first in the country

01:05:38.220 to institute free buses,

01:05:39.680 but local funding dried

01:05:41.360 up and riders and

01:05:42.160 conductors slammed the

01:05:43.000 buses as unreliable,

01:05:44.500 filthy, rolling homeless

01:05:46.260 shelters.

01:05:48.280 Now, that phrase, rolling

01:05:49.960 homeless shelter, is

01:05:51.580 actually something that

01:05:52.340 you'll hear a lot when you

01:05:53.280 look into the history of

01:05:54.240 free buses in the U.S.,

01:05:55.400 which I did last night

01:05:56.420 because I had some time

01:05:57.680 on my hands.

01:05:58.400 In fact, the exact

01:05:59.040 language, that exact

01:06:00.120 language was used in

01:06:01.500 Austin, Texas back in

01:06:02.460 1989 when they

01:06:03.880 experimented with free

01:06:04.920 buses.

01:06:05.340 Here's a report from

01:06:06.080 researchers in Sonoma

01:06:06.960 County on how that

01:06:07.740 turned out.

01:06:08.200 Quote,

01:06:08.320 An experiment with

01:06:09.260 free transportation in

01:06:10.180 Austin, Texas between

01:06:11.420 October of 1989 and

01:06:12.680 December of 1990 found

01:06:14.380 significant issues, not

01:06:15.320 the least of which was

01:06:16.420 that buses became

01:06:17.160 rolling homeless

01:06:17.920 shelters.

01:06:18.740 The larger transit

01:06:19.360 systems that offered

01:06:20.400 free fare suffered

01:06:21.320 dramatic rates of

01:06:22.400 vandalism, graffiti, and

01:06:23.960 rowdiness due to younger

01:06:25.140 passengers who could ride

01:06:26.160 the systems for free,

01:06:27.100 causing numerous negative

01:06:28.060 consequences.

01:06:29.120 Vehicle maintenance and

01:06:30.080 security costs escalated

01:06:31.180 due to the need for

01:06:32.340 repairs associated with

01:06:33.300 abuse from passengers.

01:06:34.840 The greater presence of

01:06:35.880 vagrants on board buses

01:06:36.980 also discouraged,

01:06:37.780 choice riders, and

01:06:39.020 caused increased

01:06:39.780 complaints from

01:06:40.460 long-time passengers.

01:06:41.560 In other words, the

01:06:42.440 promised reward, fewer

01:06:44.080 cars on the road, did

01:06:45.240 not materialize, and the

01:06:46.160 cost of operating the

01:06:47.160 public transit system

01:06:47.960 increased significantly.

01:06:50.620 Well, who could have

01:06:51.340 seen that coming?

01:06:52.560 Give these people another

01:06:53.720 5,000 years and they'll

01:06:55.000 discover, you know, why

01:06:56.040 stores like Costco sell

01:06:57.920 memberships.

01:06:59.460 Or why housing projects, in

01:07:01.160 every case, in every case,

01:07:02.920 are extremely dangerous and

01:07:04.220 unpleasant places to live.

01:07:05.240 It turns out that if you

01:07:06.720 want to maintain order, if

01:07:08.020 you want, like, a nice,

01:07:09.120 clean, uh, uh, civilized

01:07:11.900 environment, you need some

01:07:14.720 degree of exclusivity.

01:07:16.740 You need to be able to

01:07:18.020 exclude people.

01:07:20.580 Um, if it's just a thing

01:07:23.500 where you leave it open to

01:07:25.120 everybody with no exclusion,

01:07:28.240 then that thing, whatever it

01:07:30.880 is, will fall immediately

01:07:32.700 into chaos and disrepair.

01:07:35.700 In fact, I just made this

01:07:36.620 point yesterday about

01:07:37.300 voting.

01:07:37.860 The same goes for voting.

01:07:40.440 And Mamdani should know

01:07:41.300 this very well because even 1.00

01:07:42.320 though he's a moron, he did 1.00

01:07:43.460 start a pilot program for 1.00

01:07:44.680 free buses in New York about

01:07:45.740 a few years ago and it

01:07:46.920 failed.

01:07:48.200 This for the New York Post

01:07:48.900 once again, quote,

01:07:49.640 Mamdani, who's made free

01:07:50.780 bus services citywide a

01:07:52.020 centerpiece of his mayoral

01:07:53.100 campaign, was behind a

01:07:54.880 2023 state pilot to bring

01:07:56.600 one free bus route to each

01:07:57.900 of the five boroughs.

01:07:58.860 He later co-wrote an

01:07:59.980 editorial in The Nation

01:08:00.760 declaring that continuing to

01:08:02.180 make buses free in New

01:08:03.020 York is more attainable

01:08:04.160 than you might believe.

01:08:04.980 But the MTA's own

01:08:05.780 assessment was far less

01:08:06.760 glowing.

01:08:07.180 The 30% jump in ridership

01:08:09.260 came mostly from people

01:08:10.480 already riding the bus,

01:08:11.840 not new low-income

01:08:12.900 commuters the program was

01:08:14.000 supposed to help.

01:08:14.900 Service slowed and the

01:08:15.920 pilot program, which ended

01:08:16.940 August 31st, 2024, still

01:08:19.100 managed to run over its

01:08:20.760 $15 million budget.

01:08:22.920 In other words, even

01:08:23.880 without serving many new

01:08:25.120 customers, the project

01:08:26.000 somehow managed to be

01:08:27.020 too expensive.

01:08:28.180 So I guess the idea is

01:08:29.180 that Mamdani just has to

01:08:30.260 raise taxes on New Yorkers

01:08:31.540 even more until everybody

01:08:33.140 with a bank account has

01:08:34.160 fled to Florida.

01:08:36.460 And at that point, you

01:08:37.860 lose the free buses,

01:08:39.160 assuming they haven't been

01:08:40.100 torched or turned into

01:08:41.200 rolling toilets by that

01:08:42.880 point, which they will.

01:08:44.980 This gets at the biggest

01:08:46.140 problem with free buses,

01:08:47.200 of course, which is that

01:08:48.000 they aren't actually free.

01:08:49.660 The taxpayers are forced to

01:08:50.960 foot the bill, whether

01:08:52.600 they're using the bus or not.

01:08:54.960 And in the end, they get

01:08:55.860 nothing out of it.

01:08:57.440 Instead, they receive more

01:08:58.520 decay, more waste, and yet

01:09:00.940 another reminder that New

01:09:01.840 York is incapable of

01:09:02.760 self-governance.

01:09:04.400 Unless each bus comes

01:09:05.460 equipped with its very own

01:09:07.000 full-time Daniel Penny,

01:09:08.740 this is an idea that simply

01:09:10.480 cannot end well, and

01:09:11.980 everybody knows it.

01:09:13.900 And to his great credit,

01:09:14.840 Bill de Blasio, in his own

01:09:15.780 special way, is trying to

01:09:16.920 warn us about all this.

01:09:18.940 Sure, he won't say it out

01:09:19.700 loud, but if you read

01:09:20.600 between the lines, it's

01:09:21.420 obvious.

01:09:22.280 He's a double agent.

01:09:24.400 And now he's been

01:09:25.220 activated.

01:09:25.620 And that is why, for

01:09:27.340 once in his life, Bill de

01:09:28.120 Blasio is worth paying

01:09:29.240 attention to.

01:09:29.800 His endorsement of

01:09:30.460 Zoran Mamdani is a

01:09:31.900 clarion call to every

01:09:33.360 New Yorker.

01:09:34.240 It's an unmistakable

01:09:35.020 alarm bell. 0.72

01:09:35.840 It's a bat signal, if you 1.00

01:09:37.060 will.

01:09:37.840 It's a window into what

01:09:38.960 New York will look like if

01:09:40.100 Mamdani ends up winning.

01:09:41.600 And it's the kind of

01:09:42.080 message that only a 1.00

01:09:43.060 complete buffoon like Bill 1.00

01:09:44.240 de Blasio could possibly 1.00

01:09:45.980 deliver.

01:09:46.400 And it's also why everyone

01:09:47.480 who's mocking Bill de

01:09:48.680 Blasio for promoting

01:09:49.660 Mamdani's free buses in

01:09:50.840 New York City, a proposal

01:09:51.660 that will inevitably result in

01:09:53.160 the creation of rolling

01:09:54.000 toilets, as it did in

01:09:55.460 Kansas and Austin, is

01:09:56.920 today canceled.
