00:00:00.000Thanks to HomeServe for sponsoring this episode. There are a lot of perks to owning a home versus renting from a landlord, but one of the things that most people dread about buying and owning a home are the expensive repairs that are bound to happen. Regular homeowners insurance does not cover everyday repairs like plumbing failures and electrical issues, leaving you on your own to cover the repairs.
00:00:18.780But now there's another option called HomeServe. For as little as $4.99 a month, you've got backup when things break. Instead of frantically searching for a contractor in a panic, you could already be on the phone with HomeServe's 24-7 hotline getting someone scheduled.
00:00:34.520HomeServe has a lot of different plans to choose from that cover different things. Just pick a plan that fits your budget, and when something goes wrong, all you have to do is call HomeServe, and they will handle it.
00:00:44.900They've been doing this for over 20 years with a network of 2,600 local contractors. HomeServe could have been great when my wife and I first bought a house. Instead of spending hours calling around for quotes and costs, could have just called HomeServe and would have been one call and done.
00:01:00.220Well, you know, you can help protect your home systems and your wallet with HomeServe against covered repairs. Plans start at just $4.99 a month. Go to HomeServe.com to find a plan that's right for you. That's HomeServe.com. Not available everywhere.
00:01:14.420Most plans range between $4.99 to $1,199 a month your first year. Terms apply on covered repairs.
00:01:20.740Today on the Matt Wall Show, as the communist takeover of America's largest city begins, Mamdani hires a woman who believes that private property should not exist and all white people, basically, should be kicked out of their homes.
00:01:31.720Also, the city of Seattle decides to stop putting drug users in prison, and the results are exactly what any person with a brain expects.
00:01:37.620OnlyFans models are getting work visas in the United States, and a new study proves again for the millionth time that excessive screen time is bad for children.
00:01:46.140So why do parents keep putting their kids in front of screens? All that and more today on the Matt Wall Show.
00:02:07.620William Schneiderman is a name that you've probably never heard before, but due to recent events, in particular the election of a Ugandan socialist to serve as the mayor of the nerve center of American capitalism,
00:02:27.300William Schneiderman is suddenly very relevant again.
00:02:30.320In the 1920s, Schneiderman became a naturalized citizen of the United States after immigrating here from Russia.
00:02:37.060Just a few years later, Schneiderman pulled a Zoran Mamdani. He decided to run for political office as an avowed communist.
00:02:44.500Specifically, he wanted to become the governor of Minnesota so that he could undermine American capitalism and destroy the state.
00:02:51.440So he's a bit ahead of his time in that regard, but the federal government of the United States under FDR was not very amused by Schneiderman's ambitions.
00:03:00.320They immediately began proceedings to denaturalize and deport him on the grounds that he had violated the Naturalization Act of 1906,
00:03:07.880which required new citizens to affirm truthfully that they were attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States.
00:03:15.460Now, ultimately, in a 5-3 vote, the Supreme Court ruled that Schneiderman could keep his citizenship even though he was a communist.
00:03:21.020The Supreme Court ruled that clear, unequivocal, and convincing evidence was needed to denaturalize an American citizen on the grounds that he had fraudulently obtained his citizenship.
00:03:31.620If the government wants to kick a naturalized citizen out of the country, then the feds need to demonstrate beyond any doubt whatsoever
00:03:38.700that the naturalized citizen is not, in fact, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States.
00:03:45.840Now, it's not enough for a foreigner to call himself a communist, even though it should be enough, according to the Supreme Court.
00:03:51.900The foreign communist also has to really, really commit to the bit.
00:03:56.040He has to do everything imaginable to demonstrate that he wants to destroy this country and the rule of law,
00:04:02.100as well as every foundational principle of our government.
00:04:04.800He has to be basically cartoonishly, overtly anti-American in every imaginable respect.
00:04:11.320Now, that is admittedly a high bar to clear, really too high a bar to clear.
00:04:17.300It shouldn't have to be that high, but, you know, a foreigner simply saying they're a communist should be enough to kick them out.
00:04:27.160But even with that high bar, Zoran Mamdani, the newly inaugurated socialist mayor of New York City,
00:04:33.800who became a naturalized citizen in 2018, has cleared it.
