00:10:27.300This is a kid who can barely communicate in any language at all.1.00
00:10:32.040I mean, you've heard of people who speak one language and people who are bilingual or even trilingual.
00:10:37.600This kid is no-lingual, and he's not alone.
00:10:40.700You know, one of the reasons that toddlers have temper tantrums is that their language skills are not advanced enough to convey their emotions any other way.
00:10:49.260They can't tell you what they're feeling or what they want, and so they just freak out, you know, partly out of frustration at their own inability to communicate.
00:11:00.240And I think part of what's happening now is we have teenagers and adults with a similar problem, which is not to excuse it at all.
00:11:10.700But when it comes to excuses, you know, notice what the excuse is that we're hearing.
00:11:15.580They don't even deny that he resisted arrest.
00:11:17.940They just they're just saying that, well, the officer should have been more gentle in dealing with it.0.95
00:11:23.500And this is what we so often hear from the parents or in this case, the grandparent, who knows where the parents are, of black criminals.0.92
00:11:30.900You know, the argument is so often, well, yes, our poor child was committing violent crimes and resisting arrest and acting like a hooligan terrorist for no reason.0.94
00:11:40.700But the police should have been nicer about it.
00:11:44.840And somehow we're supposed to take that logic seriously.
00:11:48.640When like, if you're a good and present parent, you know that it's, you have, this is, it's
00:15:06.840This is from their recent article on quote unquote teen takeovers.
00:15:11.120Quote, in Detroit, Chicago, Atlanta, the nation's capital and elsewhere, large, quickly organized gatherings of youths have popped up in downtown parks and leafy neighborhoods.
00:15:20.100They can be noisy, boisterous, and at times violent.
00:15:22.720The pandemic exacerbated a decline in the amount of time that teenagers spend going out and socializing.
00:15:27.480And socializing is a natural impulse, said Lauren Steinberg, a psychology professor who studies adolescent development.
00:15:38.480Youths are engaged in boisterous and violent gatherings because of the pandemic.
00:15:43.840Now, in a way, this is a clever excuse because everyone now recognizes that the COVID lockdowns were the single most disastrous domestic policy decision in the past century, bar none.
00:15:58.480So it's easy to get people to blame everything on the COVID lockdowns, and you can understand why.0.73
00:16:05.560But the reasoning falls apart when you realize, again, that white youths are not engaging in these, quote-unquote, boisterous gatherings for the most part.0.64
00:16:16.480And that defeats the entire argument because, last time I checked, white youths were also forced to participate in the COVID lockdown as well.0.69
00:16:24.560And there's no reason why the lockdowns would cause black youths and only them to systematically engage in dysfunctional, violent, antisocial behavior in public.0.77
00:16:37.660Now, if you read through this entire New York Times article, you won't find an answer.
00:16:41.960In fact, race is not even mentioned until about 20 paragraphs in.
00:16:45.280And here's what the article eventually says about that.
00:16:47.640Quote, some of the panic over teen takeovers has echoes in worries over wilding in the late 1980s and super predators in the 1990s.0.95
00:16:55.680There's a lot of dog whistling there about the fact that these are black kids who are gathering together in these large groups and we should be afraid of them, Mr. Steinberg said.
00:17:04.060Black and Latino youth gatherings are more likely to be assumed as criminal, said Kristen Henning, a Georgetown University law professor who specializes in juvenile violence.
00:17:11.480white children in skate parks in the 1980s and 1990s, did not generate nearly the same level
00:17:16.620of surveillance and arrests as black gatherings, she said. In case you're interested, here's what
00:17:23.600the Georgetown law professor, Kristen Henning, looks like. And as best I can tell, her entire0.99
00:17:30.460career is devoted to the idea that, quote, normal behaviors of black adolescents and teenagers have
00:17:35.460been criminalized across the country. And to that end, she claims that there's no difference
00:17:41.560between black riots and white children in skate parks in the 1980s and 1990s. But here's the
00:17:48.000thing about white children in skate parks in the 1980s. They were not doing any of the things we0.91
00:17:54.420just saw. They weren't attacking people. They weren't shooting. They didn't storm into restaurants
00:17:59.220and beat each other with chairs. They didn't rampage through the streets. They didn't shut
00:18:04.840down entire city blocks, they didn't make life miserable for everyone or anyone in the
00:18:09.780neighborhood. To the extent that anybody was upset with skateboarding children, the concern
00:18:13.940was that they were scraping the sidewalks and maybe running into people every now and
00:18:18.660then. And that's why they didn't generate the same level of surveillance and arrests
00:18:23.140as these black teenagers. They weren't committing crimes. It's kind of a big distinction, the
00:18:30.140thing a Georgetown law professor is supposed to notice. But every time these law professors tell
00:18:35.260us, well, why is it that black youths are arrested for crimes more than other demographics? Well,
00:18:43.000it's because they're committing crimes more than other demographics. That's why, professor.1.00
00:18:49.340Funny how that works. If a certain group commits more crimes, they get arrested more often.
00:21:36.940In the aftermath of Tuesday's stabbings, Naragansett police arrested two men
00:21:41.960in the police beach's parking lot on charges of simple assault, disorderly conduct,
00:21:45.840resisting arrest and obstruction of justice.
00:21:49.640Now, the reason local media is hiding the photograph of the suspect is precisely the
00:21:53.060same reason they're referring to these riots as teen takeovers.
00:21:56.160You're not allowed to challenge any of the left's sacred mythologies, and the civil rights
00:22:00.880movement is definitely one of those mythologies.
00:22:03.920Any fact that calls into question the wisdom of that era or the idea that all racial disparities
00:22:10.340are automatically the result of systemic prejudice by white people has to be squashed.
00:22:15.840So you're not allowed to hear about wilding or super predators or black riots.0.99
00:22:20.080Instead, you're told about teen takeovers as if as if hordes of white people are going around shooting up your neighborhood.0.98
00:22:26.400Most Americans don't eat enough fruits and vegetables.
00:22:28.860People are busy. They travel. They work long hours. They eat whatever is convenient.
00:22:32.080Most of the time, that means a meal that's not nutritionally dense whatsoever.
00:22:35.920It's a sad reality. But there's a company actively changing that.
00:22:39.460They're offering a solution that can realistically supplement your diet when life inevitably gets chaotic.
00:22:45.020Balance of Nature takes whole food ingredients from fruits and vegetables
00:22:47.700and uses a special vacuum cold process to stabilize the naturally occurring phytonutrients.
00:22:53.200The ingredients are then powdered and encapsulated,
00:22:55.520making it easy to supplement your diet with real whole food ingredients.
00:22:58.780Several people here at The Daily Wire sprinkle the capsules into smoothies.
00:23:01.740Others just take the capsules with lunch.
00:23:03.760Either way, it's simple and practical,
00:23:05.260which means you're set up for success when it comes to consistency.
00:23:07.780You can ditch the 17 supplement containers you have,
00:23:10.580and finally, no freedom and true healthy living.
00:23:13.540Bounce of Nature focuses on whole food phytonutrition instead of chasing every trendy miracle ingredient that shows up online for six weeks before disappearing forever.
00:23:23.080Real fruits, real vegetables, real ingredients.
00:23:25.060It's finally easy to stay on top of nutrition goals and make sure you're getting enough fruits, vegetables, and nutrients as part of your routine.
00:23:35.200Get an additional 10% off the fruits and veggies supplement subscription when you use discount code Walsh.
00:23:41.700There's another reason that they're lying about these riots as well. As always, Democrats see an opportunity to use violence to further their political objectives and expand their power. And in this case, instead of blaming black people, and in particular black fathers, Democrats are claiming that social media companies are responsible for these teen takeovers. And therefore, in the eyes of the leaders of the Democrat Party, these riots are merely another justification for online censorship.
00:24:08.160So here's the mayor of Chicago, Brandon Johnson, on that point.
00:24:13.240We prevent the vast majority of these from ever taking place.
00:24:17.260You know, there is an effort in city council to hold these social media apparatuses accountable.
00:24:22.900I believe that we should continue to explore that.
00:24:25.020And I'm going to continue to work with Alderman Hall around that.
00:24:28.160It's why we're actually taxing these big tech companies for the role that they have played in harming the mental health and well-being of our young people.
00:24:36.440This is an obvious attack on your civil liberties, framed as an attack on big tech.
00:24:41.300Online censorship has rolled back significantly over the past few years,
00:24:45.200thanks to the election of Donald Trump and Elon Musk's purchase of X.
00:24:48.760But Democrats, they want to bring it back, and they plan to if they ever hold power again.
00:24:53.240And they're going to use mobs of violent thugs to do it.
00:24:56.260They're banking on the idea that people will be too afraid of being called racist
00:25:33.480Developments in the Kia Hyundai thefts.
00:25:35.700The city of Chicago is now suing the automakers, saying a defect in their vehicles has led to theft crisis in the city.
00:25:42.300This is a story that we've been following closely for a couple of years now.
00:25:46.660A security flaw shared on social media made the car an easy target for thieves.
00:25:50.720The mayor's office says since the videos started spreading on social media, thefts of Kia and Hyundai vehicles in Chicago surged from about 500 in the first half of 2022 to more than 8000 during the second half of the year.
00:26:06.300The complaint filed in Cook County Circuit Court says the flaw has led to an increase in violence because thieves use those stolen Hyundais and Kias to commit other crimes.
00:26:14.620The city says it wants restitution for victims and to reclaim the cost of responding to those thefts.
00:26:20.720Well, the car manufacturers were not violating any law, obviously. There was no requirement
00:26:25.760that they design their vehicles to include systems to prevent auto theft. They were trying
00:26:30.980to cut costs and offer a cheaper product, which makes sense. And in a high-trust society where
00:26:36.660laws are enforced, there'd be no issue at all. I mean, in a functioning society, not only should
00:26:42.960you not need anti-theft on your car, you shouldn't even need to lock your car. If you live in a
00:26:48.580functioning society, if you live in a, in a, in a, you know, a community, a functioning community,
00:26:54.760you don't even need to lock the car at all. If you need to lock it to begin with, that's already
00:27:01.700a sign that we've got major problems here that, um, anti-theft stuff on the car won't fix.
00:27:10.080Well, the city of Chicago sued anyway, on behalf of criminals who can commit carjackings without
00:27:14.920suffering any consequences whatsoever. And eventually Chicago won and the manufacturers
00:27:19.640settled. But of course, Chicago didn't stop there in the war to blame literally everyone else
00:27:25.460for crimes committed predominantly by black people. A couple of years ago, Chicago also sued0.97
00:27:30.760Glock. And what was the claim there? Well, Glock made firearms that black suspects were using
00:27:37.580to commit crimes. That was the problem. This is from Reuters. Glock must face a lawsuit1.00
00:27:44.080filed by the city of Chicago over claims that it knowingly sells pistols that can be easily
00:27:48.320converted into illegal machine guns, often used in criminal activity, an Illinois state court judge
00:27:53.640said. The city alleged that Glock has long known adding an inexpensive accessory to one of its
00:27:58.180popular pistols enable shooters to switch the gun between semi-automatic and fully automatic firing.
00:28:03.700Walker said the city's allegation fits within an exception to the Protection of Lawful Commerce
00:28:08.240and Arms Act. Representatives for Glock and gun retailers, Midwest Sporting Goods and Eagle
00:28:13.660sports range, who were named in a lawsuit, did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
00:28:18.280In a statement, Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson called the ruling a major step towards holding
00:28:22.160Glock accountable for endangering the residents of our city. So to recap, when black people commit1.00
00:28:29.460crimes in Chicago, it's the fault of the social media companies and the automobile manufacturers0.99
00:28:34.940and the firearm manufacturers and, you know, white people and systemic racism and El Nino and Donald
00:28:41.660trump the supreme court and i don't know bed bugs uh everything and everyone is to blame
00:28:47.320except the people themselves who are doing the crimes meanwhile if you talk to sane well-adjusted0.78
00:28:53.280black people in these communities they'll immediately tell you what the problem is0.80
00:28:58.340watch jerson park on detroit's west side on memorial day for another so-called teen takeover0.98
00:29:04.480oh my god this is horrible neighbors tell me it started out peaceful but things took a turn
00:29:11.260as fights broke out and police moved in to disperse the crowds.
00:29:15.120All of it leaving neighbors like this man who did not want to be identified on edge.
00:29:20.260Me and the neighbors, we talked about it today.
00:30:08.880Now, scholars can debate that question until the end of time. I mean, the obvious answer is that black fathers effectively don't exist. I mean, that's what's going on here. That's a big part of it, which is one of the reasons why the racial component has to be talked about.0.97
00:30:24.540Number one, because it's just true and we should acknowledge what's true.
00:30:27.580And number two, because 80% of these kids, of these black kids in cities, grow up in homes without fathers.0.53
00:30:36.860I mean, fatherlessness in the black community, you hear about it, but it's like it is apocalyptic.0.99
00:30:50.280because as a matter of basic civil liberties, we have a right to live in a country without the
00:30:55.600constant threat of violence and intimidation, whatever the reasons are for it. Rampant violence
00:31:01.100by black teenagers or by anyone else is a direct infringement on the civil liberties of millions0.87
00:31:06.000of Americans. And therefore, the government must punish the parents who are allowing their children0.98
00:31:11.060to engage in these crimes. We've seen white parents, as we talked about before, getting0.77
00:31:15.540charged with felonies when their children commit school shootings. That's happened several times.
00:31:20.280Well, there's no reason why the parent of every teenage rioter in these videos shouldn't be hauled to federal prison.
00:31:28.100And indeed, at long last, that appears to be the plan.
00:31:30.680This is from the local ABC affiliate in D.C.
00:31:33.800Quote, federal prosecutors in Washington say that they will begin charging parents whose children are involved in so-called teen takeovers.
00:31:40.720The United States Attorney for the District of Columbia, Janine Pirro, announced Friday that her office will step in and prosecute parents, marking what she said would be the first weekend the policy is put into action.
00:31:52.960Pirro said parents could spend up to six months in jail and that the charge would be contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
00:31:59.240She said the effort is aimed at stepping in where parents would not.
00:32:04.000Well, this is a start, but we need to go much further than charging these parents with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
00:32:10.720we all know that no parent under any circumstance is going to spend six months in jail for allowing
00:32:16.520their child to participate in one of these riots. I mean, in D.C., carjackers and attempted
00:32:20.760murderers get out of jail within 24 hours of their arrest. There's simply no chance that a
00:32:26.080judge in D.C. is going to throw the book at a parent for what is for them a nonviolent crime.
00:32:33.260Meanwhile, this is how white parents are being handled by the legal system when they fail to
00:32:38.580prevent violence from their own children. Watch. It is a first in our American legal system. A0.66
00:32:44.720judge has sentenced the parents of a Michigan school shooter to up to 15 years in prison
00:32:49.640for their role in the 2021 killing of four students. Now, the jury found that Jennifer
00:32:55.000and James Crumley failed to take steps to prevent the mass shooting that was carried out by their
00:32:59.840son. KTLA's Lauren Lister has more on this historic case. Your Honor, I requested the
00:33:08.040maximum sentence be enforced, as it will never come close to the life sentence I was given.
00:33:13.280An emotional statement made in court by a mother of one of the young victims,
00:33:17.140as both Jennifer and James Crumbly, parents of a Michigan school shooter,
00:33:21.920were sentenced to prison for their roles. It is the sense of this court, Ms. Crumbly,
00:33:26.160that you served 10 to 15 years. Both of his parents found guilty of involuntary manslaughter
00:33:31.540after prosecutors presented evidence of an unsecured gun at home, an indifference towards
00:33:36.560their son's mental health parents are not expected to be psychic but these convictions are not about
00:33:44.140poor parenting these convictions confirm repeated acts or lack of acts that could have halted an
00:33:54.580oncoming runaway train so they didn't pull the trigger or even encourage their son to pull the
00:33:59.860trigger, but they're going to go to prison for at least 10 years anyway, which is a higher
00:34:06.040sentence than some actual murderers receive in this country. Ronald Exantis, who we talked
00:34:10.960about as a black man, stabbed a six-year-old white boy to death in his bed during a home
00:34:16.480invasion, and he served less than 10 years in prison. The state released him early after
00:34:21.960nine years, saying he supposedly had some psychological problems. But they're all better
00:34:26.520now. So, you know, he's allowed to be back on the street. Meanwhile, the white parents will have to
00:34:31.280serve a longer sentence, even though they did not directly harm anyone. So nothing like this has
00:34:37.940ever happened to the parents of, you know, one of these black rioters. Every weekend, dozens of1.00
00:34:45.260people are shot in Chicago alone by young black shooters. But the parents are never even questioned,1.00
00:34:51.360and much less sentenced to 10 years in prison.
00:35:16.480Their responsibility is to maintain order
00:35:18.480and administer equal justice and right now,
00:35:21.360they're not doing either. I mean, why do we pay taxes if the government is not going to uphold
00:35:26.740its end of the bargain in even the most basic ways? If we simply locked up all these lawless
00:35:32.860criminals along with their parents, which we could do, we'd solve a lot of problems at once.
00:35:40.300I mean, we wouldn't just fix the crime rate, which would happen very quickly, by the way,
00:35:44.200as the vast majority of crimes are committed by repeat offenders who never spend any time in jail.
00:35:49.420We'd also fix the housing problem, or at least we'd take a major step towards fixing it.
00:35:54.840I mean, at the moment, some of the most valuable properties in the country, which are often within walking distance of urban downtowns,1.00
00:36:00.620are currently unlivable because of poor schools and the constant criminal activity by young black men.1.00
00:36:07.000If we succeed in making cities safe again, we free up more urban housing.1.00
00:36:12.740Wealthy residents might even leave the suburbs for the first time since the civil rights era,
00:36:17.580which, of course, would make the suburbs more affordable for everybody else.
00:36:22.480Now, we're conditioned to believe that the cities are a lost cause, but that's just not the case.
00:36:26.920I mean, the classic example is Rudy Giuliani's administration in New York.
00:36:30.280He reduced crime by between 60 and 70 percent, and he did it by, if you can imagine it, just enforcing laws.
00:36:38.560So if you jumped a subway turnstile, you were arrested.
00:36:41.940If you sprayed graffiti on a wall, you went to jail.
00:36:44.480If you looked remotely suspicious, you'd be stopped and frisked.
00:36:47.580And if you were carrying an illegal gun, you'd go to jail.
00:36:51.760Now, it's true that the Civil Liberties groups managed to roll back many of Giuliani's achievements.
00:36:56.500And now, of course, the city is once again a cesspool.
00:36:58.720But there's a federal solution here, and it's a solution that can work outside of D.C.
00:37:04.440You know, we have something called the Anti-Riot Act on the books.
00:37:07.560And as the name implies, it's a federal law against rioting, specifically against inciting, organizing, promoting, or participating in a riot.
00:37:13.840If somebody uses social media or the internet to plan or encourage a riot, the feds can file charges in terms of imprisonment range from one year to 10, depending on whether anyone's injured or killed in the riot.
00:37:26.820These are the types of sentences we need to start seeing if we want the riots to stop.
00:37:31.500And very quickly, the benefits for the entire country would become apparent.
00:37:36.640Right now, there are people paying $90 a month for cell phone service
00:37:41.200because they signed up in 2012 and just gave up afterwards.
00:37:45.120Their wireless company raises the bill every few months.
00:37:47.560Nobody knows why. Nobody calls to ask.
00:38:18.200So if you looked at Pure Talk before and never switched, check again.
00:38:21.860And if your instinct is, well, there has to be a catch, there isn't.
00:38:24.860That's just what happens when a company decides not to charge you like they're funding a space program.
00:38:29.580Try it for 30 days, no contract, no cancellation fees, no risk.
00:38:33.640You can switch in as little as 10 minutes.
00:38:35.080And if you need help, you can actually talk to a real U.S.-based customer service team,
00:38:39.360not an automated robot voice trying to trap you in an endless loop.
00:38:43.180Go to puretalk.com slash Walsh to claim unlimited high-speed data for just $34.99.
00:38:48.220Again, that's puretalk.com slash Walsh to switch to my wireless company, America's wireless company, Pure Talk.
00:38:54.760We're approaching the summer, again, before a major election.
00:39:00.680And historically, this is when Democrats activate their foot soldiers and instruct them to terrorize cities all over the country.0.63
00:39:05.880It was highly effective with George Floyd.
00:39:08.140And they're obviously going to try to do it again.
00:39:10.920They may come up with a pretext or they might simply encourage these teen takeovers by making excuses for them.
00:39:17.640Whatever the case, the Trump administration doesn't have to allow it.
00:39:21.440You know, we don't need to see a repeat of 2020. Democrats themselves have given us the precedent we need by prosecuting white parents for school shootings that they didn't even commit.
