00:00:27.920 Without fail, every couple of years we're told that we're in the midst of the single most important election cycle in the history of the country.
00:00:36.880 It's good marketing, for one thing, a handy way for media outlets to generate some interest in their election coverage.
00:00:43.460 Plus, it plays on our natural human bias to believe that everything that's happening right now is more important than anything that's happened before.
00:00:50.840 After all, no one wants to feel like they're living through a boring period of history,
00:00:55.020 so we're all very familiar with this kind of hyperbole. And as a result, because we hear it
00:01:00.820 so often, we generally tune it out. You know, we're told it's the most important election cycle
00:01:05.320 ever, over and over and over again, and we just ignore it. Well, after what happened on Tuesday,
00:01:11.420 we have to get out of that habit effective immediately, because there is no doubt that
00:01:16.600 2028 will indeed be a pivotal election cycle, unlike anything else we've ever seen. It will
00:01:24.500 be make or break for the United States as we know it. I know we've heard that a million times,
00:01:30.220 but this time it is actually true. And for the next two years, Donald Trump can use the veto
00:01:35.980 power to shut down the Democrats' worst legislation. After that, our future is entirely in the hands
00:01:41.740 of the next president. Should a socialist Democrat win, there will be nothing stopping Democrats from
00:01:47.300 packing the courts, adding new states, nationalizing critical industries, opening the borders, all of
00:01:52.940 which they have promised to do explicitly the moment they return to power, and they will do.
00:01:57.580 And if you doubt any of that, take a look at this exit poll.
00:02:00.480 33% of voters had a strongly or somewhat favorable view of socialism, and virtually all of them were Democrats.
00:02:07.420 12% of voters had a somewhat unfavorable view of socialism, meaning they saw some value in the ideology.
00:02:15.120 73% of those voters were Democrats.
00:02:17.840 Meanwhile, among the 41% of voters who had a strongly unfavorable view of socialism, 85% of them were Republicans.
00:02:26.180 So it's not an overstatement to say that the Democrat Party is the party of socialism at this point.
00:02:31.080 It is.
00:02:32.460 And when they take power, they'll do what socialists always do.
00:02:36.540 They will destroy the economy and eliminate their political opponents, among other things.
00:02:41.740 The nightmare scenario at the moment is that we go into 2028 with an unpopular president,
00:02:46.320 and then we face a similar wipeout to what just happened on Tuesday. I'm talking about a wipeout
00:02:51.340 so substantial that Democrats won't even need to abolish the filibuster to assume complete
00:02:56.320 control over the government. There is precedent for this, of course. Those of us who experienced
00:03:00.620 06 and then 08, we know that. And in this nightmare scenario, the Democrats would win
00:03:07.460 the White House with a super majority in Congress. And in that scenario, they don't need to nuke the
00:03:11.900 filibuster. They can add D.C. and Puerto Rico as states, which happens with majority votes. It's
00:03:19.180 surprisingly easy to add a new state, and they will. And then they become politically invincible
00:03:24.880 for all intents and purposes. It's over. The Republicans will never win again. They'll pursue
00:03:30.140 federal cases against conservative politicians, activists, and public figures. People will go to
00:03:34.740 jail. Because when they have power, they wield it. You know, this is a new New Deal kind of
00:03:43.120 revolution that's brewing. It'll be unlike anything we've seen in American politics in
00:03:46.940 our lifetimes. It would be utterly catastrophic in every conceivable way. So in the meantime,
00:03:53.500 over the next two years, we know exactly what's coming. Democrats will get into office and
00:03:57.760 immediately start investigating Trump and his officials and anyone else they can think of.
00:04:02.820 There will be impeachments.
00:04:04.800 At least a few Trump officials are probably going down.
00:04:08.620 Already they're talking about issuing subpoenas to the DHS secretary and every ICE official who enforced immigration laws.
00:04:15.100 The harassment will be relentless.
00:04:16.700 They'll bankrupt as many Trump officials and advisors as they can.
00:04:19.440 They'll run up the legal fees just like they did after January 6th.
00:04:22.740 It'll be a reminder of just how weak and ineffective Republicans were when they had control of both houses of Congress.
00:04:29.940 Republicans had the chance to root out Democrat corruption, but they chose to do nothing.
00:04:34.380 They had the chance to systematically dismantle and destroy left-wing radicals and their networks and funders, and they didn't.
00:04:41.820 Charlie's murder should have led to a ruthless nationwide crackdown on left-wing extremism, but it didn't.
00:04:48.520 So Democrats will turn around and do all the things that Republicans were too scared to do.
00:04:52.600 And if they win the presidency, they're going to finish what Charlie Kirk's assassin started.
00:04:57.200 They're going to imprison, kill, or otherwise neutralize any conservative who would challenge them.
00:05:04.180 And it's really worth harping on this point for just a moment.
00:05:07.500 Charlie was murdered, the most shocking and consequential political assassination since JFK.
00:05:13.980 And this was not far off the heels of Donald Trump's, the attempted assassination of Donald Trump.
00:05:22.800 And this was even worse in some ways because many Americans spent the following months openly celebrating the murder.
00:05:30.420 Republicans had the opportunity to respond to these events by rooting out the murderous leftists and the networks that fund and support them, but they didn't.
00:05:40.700 If Democrats had been in office when one of their most prominent leaders was assassinated
00:05:45.280 in front of a live audience on camera, the ruthless crackdown on right-wingers that followed
00:05:50.920 would have made their January 6th prosecution seem like a walk in the park.
00:05:55.680 But, you know, because that's how they operate, and Republicans don't. 1.00
00:06:00.620 They're also going to break every norm that idiot Republicans in Congress decided to honor 1.00
00:06:05.400 over the past two years. And if you need evidence of that, here's Tallarico, the incoming senator 0.99
00:06:12.580 from Texas, making it explicit. Listen. He says in the Senate you would vote to abolish the
00:06:17.220 filibuster. Yes. I believe that the majority has the right to govern in this country.
00:06:22.980 And the filibuster, which is not in the Constitution, it's a Jim Crow relic. It is 0.92
00:06:28.280 leading to gridlock in our nation's capital. It's why we can't bring down the cost of groceries
00:06:34.660 and gas and utilities and health care.
00:06:37.440 It's why we can't get this economy back on track.
00:06:39.880 And so I believe the majority,
00:06:41.300 whether it's a Democratic majority or a Republican majority,
00:06:43.680 should have the right to govern.
00:06:45.800 Well, we all knew this was coming.
00:06:47.240 Republicans in Congress pretended otherwise.
00:06:49.800 And now Democrats are making it explicit.
00:06:53.000 So hearing this,
00:06:55.020 give me one reason why John Thune
00:06:56.740 and the GOP majority in the Senate
00:06:58.640 don't abolish the filibuster
00:07:01.260 and pass the SAVE Act right now.
00:07:03.120 They're still in power for a few more months
00:07:05.980 They can get a lot done
00:07:07.800 You know, they don't have to stop with the SAVE Act
00:07:10.240 Republicans could pass a nationwide ban on funding for child sex 0.99
00:07:13.680 Sex change operations
00:07:15.080 Which we've been demanding for years 1.00
00:07:17.480 No reason why they can't just do that
00:07:19.520 They could codify every single one of Trump's executive orders
00:07:24.420 They could block state-level attempts to interfere with Elon Musk's companies
00:07:28.340 And any other company owned by a conservative
00:07:31.100 They could punish sanctuary cities, expand oil and gas development, cut funding for DEI,
00:07:37.000 pass nationwide legislation to protect gun owners from arrests as they cross state lines, etc.
00:07:41.360 There's a lot they could do.
00:07:43.060 The Republican majority in Congress, until it's gone in January, can pass all of this by a strict majority vote if they abolish the filibuster.
00:07:49.000 So why aren't they doing it?
00:07:50.900 Why aren't they even attempting to do it?
00:07:53.740 Why aren't they calling on Alito and Thomas to resign immediately so we can appoint replacements as soon as possible?
00:07:58.500 Republicans simply don't have any interest in fighting
00:08:01.900 They have no agenda, no purpose
00:08:03.520 And Democrats are, on the other hand, very interested in fighting and winning
00:08:08.140 They're ruthless, violent, more empowered than they've ever been
00:08:11.460 And they'll tear the country apart, piece by piece
00:08:14.400 Until no Republicans are left, if they're allowed to do it
00:08:16.900 If we allow 2026 to be a precursor to something worse than 2028
00:08:22.540 But we don't have to, and that's what we're going to talk about
00:08:25.120 They are also, we should say right now, the Democrats focused on at least one important issue
00:08:31.420 That Republicans are all but entirely ignoring
00:08:33.740 Yesterday on the show I said that, you know, AI did not show up in the exit polls
00:08:37.580 But by 2028 it'll be the top issue for a majority of voters
00:08:40.920 I was actually wrong
00:08:42.760 I hadn't seen the NBC exit poll which found that already
00:08:46.400 Even as AI has only just started to wipe out jobs
00:08:49.440 It's a major factor for a majority of voters
00:08:52.500 now. 56% of voters said that AI and data centers were a crucial or major factor in their vote.
00:09:00.140 56% already. And most of the people who consider it a crucial or major factor voted for Democrats.
00:09:06.180 So I was wrong about the exit polls. It did show up. But even more right about the overall point
00:09:11.160 than I realized. AI is a central political issue right now. And this will be even more the case
00:09:17.120 in coming years. Republicans have been nothing short of abysmal on this issue. You can't punt
00:09:26.420 on this issue. To call Trump's handling of it tone deaf would be far too generous. Voters are
00:09:33.120 extremely worried about the mass unemployment that has already started due to this technology.
00:09:39.180 If your only response is to suggest a fun little new nickname for AI, you will get obliterated in
00:09:45.460 every election now and forever. Pro-AI cultism is not a viable political position. Okay, it just
00:09:53.880 isn't. Here's a post from Congresswoman Yasemin Ansari of Arizona the other day, just to show you
00:10:03.200 what they're doing on the other side when it comes to this. And there were a lot of conservative
00:10:07.920 influencers responding to this and in a very critical way and kind of mocking it.
00:10:12.380 Well, here's what she said, quote
00:10:14.640 Top of the Democratic agenda on day one needs to be a pause on advanced AI development 0.98
00:10:19.840 Regulation of this out-of-control industry and a ban on artificial superintelligence 0.56
00:10:24.740 Now, I don't know anything about Congresswoman Yasemin Ansari
00:10:29.320 But I can guess with a fair amount of confidence that I disagree with almost every position she has ever held on any topic
00:10:35.020 And yet on this topic, there are two things you need to understand if you're a Republican, okay?
00:10:40.320 Okay, first, this is a winning political message, okay, what I just read to you.
00:10:47.680 It's a winning political message.
00:10:49.360 That's a fact.
00:10:49.960 You may not like it, but it's true.
00:10:51.540 The inverse of this, don't regulate AI at all, don't slow down its advancement at all,
00:10:57.020 don't put any controls in place, embrace superintelligence without hesitation, data centers are wonderful
00:11:01.880 and we should build a billion more of them, is a political message that will get you trounced
00:11:06.660 in every election from now to kingdom come.
00:11:10.320 Okay? That's the political reality. And that part of it's not up for debate. Okay? That simply is
00:11:16.600 what it is. An AI maximalist presidential candidate will not win in 2028, period.
00:11:25.800 But the other thing about this post from this congresswoman, and this is something that we'll
00:11:30.020 have plenty of time to expand on in the future, and this is the part that will be really hard for
00:11:34.280 some of you to accept, but you need to, is that the post I just read there is not just a political
00:11:40.780 winner. It's also mostly right on the merits, okay? Now, let's go through it briefly. Should
00:11:47.880 we regulate the industry? Okay, she laid out three things. One of them was regulate the industry.
00:11:53.280 Should we regulate the industry? Yes. I mean, obviously. Are there Republicans actually
00:11:59.980 suggesting it should have no regulations? What's the other option? No regulations? Just let Sam
00:12:05.640 Altman and his trillionaire friends do literally whatever they want with no rules governing them?
00:12:11.220 That can't really be anyone's position, can it? I mean, that's an insane position.
00:12:15.660 We can debate what the regulation should be. I'm sure Democrats have some terrible ideas for
00:12:19.700 regulations. They usually do. Not every suggested regulation will be good. Okay? But clearly, 0.95
00:12:26.360 there need to be some regulations. Okay, a platform that says we need a totally unregulated
00:12:33.620 trillion-dollar AI industry is madness. I mean, that's political suicide. That's totally crazy.
00:12:43.300 So yes, of course there need to be some regulations. Republicans need to be the
00:12:47.460 ones to come up with the sensible and rational regulations. Okay, we're going to, I know if
00:12:54.300 you're Republican or you're conservative, the word regulation makes you really, it makes your
00:12:58.300 tummy hurt. It makes you really upset. You don't like to talk about, but obviously there are
00:13:02.620 regulations. There can be too many. There can be bad ones. All that is true, but the idea that
00:13:11.820 there should be zero is childish nonsense. And so it's up to Republicans to come up with a
00:13:17.920 sensible and rational regulation, or else Democrats will impose unsensible and irrational
00:13:22.940 ones. But again, don't regulate them at all is the crazy, delusional, cucked position of someone
00:13:29.420 who thinks we should just sit back and let trillion-dollar tech companies have their way
00:13:33.220 with our civilization, our country, our lives, and our children's futures. Clearly, that can't be it.
00:13:38.840 Okay. What about pausing AI development, as was one of the things she suggested?
00:13:44.460 Well, an across-the-board pause on all AI development is a bad idea. That is also childish
00:13:50.540 silly. But slowing down certain types of AI development is probably a good idea. That's
00:13:56.420 a debate we can have, but Republicans need to be in the debate. That's the point. And as for what
00:14:03.240 types should be slowed down, well, that brings us to our third point, banning super intelligence.
00:14:08.040 Should we do that? Well, this is where Trump's insistence on rebranding AI as SI is not just
00:14:15.180 superfluous and stupid, it's also harmful in a material and significant way because it confuses 0.98
00:14:21.020 the conversation. This is a very important conversation, and the terms need to be clear 0.99
00:14:25.920 to people. People need to understand what we're talking about. We can't afford for people to be
00:14:30.260 confused. But a lot of conservatives don't know what's meant by superintelligence because Trump
00:14:35.520 insists that all AI is already superintelligence. That's not the case. So when they hear ban
00:14:41.540 superintelligence, they think it means ban chat GPT. But that's not what that means.
00:14:48.340 Chat GPT is not superintelligence. Superintelligence is not artificial intelligence itself.
00:14:55.080 Superintelligence is the hypothetical final stage of artificial intelligence development
00:15:00.520 where it becomes cognitively superior to human beings in every conceivable way
00:15:05.660 and is recursive in that it can improve and develop and remake itself
00:15:10.320 without human involvement.
00:15:13.300 At the point where superintelligence emerges,
00:15:17.220 that's what superintelligence would be,
00:15:18.900 and at the point where it emerges,
00:15:21.320 the technology by definition is outside of human control
00:15:25.580 because it will be smarter than humans
00:15:27.820 and developing without humans.
00:15:29.720 And so there will be no way to put any reliable controls on it.
00:15:34.400 So should we ban big tech companies from creating, not AI, but creating specifically a self-perpetuating alien supermind that evolves on its own and would be by definition out of our control, leaving us at its mercy and helpless to program or meaningfully guide it in any way?
00:15:55.580 Should we tell them they can't do that?
00:15:58.240 Yes, clearly we should.
00:15:59.600 Okay, tech companies should not be allowed to fundamentally alter the course of human civilization and create a species of intelligence that could enslave us if it wanted to.
00:16:09.580 Why should they have the right to upend and possibly destroy human society itself?
00:16:14.840 Which, by the way, these companies are openly saying that that might be the result.
00:16:21.160 Like, who died and appointed these Silicon Valley weirdos to be emperors of the universe?
00:16:25.740 Can we at least have a say in that?
00:16:30.820 You've got these AI trillionaires who are sitting there just pontificating about all the ways that they are currently going to completely alter your life and your children's lives, and potentially for the worse.
00:16:44.920 And we're supposed to sit back and say, well, okay, do whatever you want.
00:16:49.960 Make the world into whatever you want it to be.
00:16:52.480 We're a giant video game for you people to play.
00:16:54.920 Is that what we're supposed to say? If Republicans are going to take the opposite position,
00:16:59.860 which I think is political death, and maybe more than just political death,
00:17:04.300 they better have a very, very compelling argument. But so far, they don't.
00:17:10.320 Shouting about China is not a compelling argument. Telling us that this technology
00:17:15.680 might destroy civilization, but it's going to happen anyway, so oh well, also not a compelling
00:17:20.240 argument. So this is an issue we can't escape. And if Democrats are the only ones taking it
00:17:24.880 seriously and trying to come up with solutions, even if you think they're bad solutions, and
00:17:29.040 ultimately their solutions will be bad, we'll be pretty confident about that. If they're the only
00:17:33.320 ones doing it, though, they will win. Okay? And when we talk about Democrats winning, we don't
00:17:38.900 just mean on the national level. To understand the total picture, you need to consider what
00:17:42.500 happened on Tuesday at the state level. But before we get into the bad news, we'll, I mean,
00:17:46.940 get back to the bad news, I suppose. We'll start with one note of optimism that I can find. Pretty
00:17:53.200 much the only bright spot is that in various ballot initiatives. And this is significant.
00:17:57.380 Voters made some good conservative decisions, even in places where you wouldn't expect it. 0.84
00:18:02.620 So voters in Washington state, Arizona, Colorado, Nebraska voted to ban so-called trans athletes,
00:18:08.440 meaning male athletes and women's sports. Although Colorado and Washington are still
00:18:12.420 counting votes. That's where it looks like it's headed right now. 52% of voters in exit polls said
00:18:17.740 that trans rights, quote unquote, have gone too far. Meanwhile, voter ID requirements passed by
00:18:23.180 landslide margins in Nevada by 25 points, North Carolina by 20 points, Ohio by 31 points.
00:18:28.960 So even though Republicans lost major statewide races in all three of these states,
00:18:32.940 there was still overwhelming support for the same ballot measures that conservatives have
00:18:36.320 been demanding in some form or another for several years. In fact, Democrats won the Senate race in
00:18:41.900 North Carolina by 20 points, but a constitutional amendment requiring voter ID passed by the same
00:18:47.120 large margin of 20 points. And the amendment specifically requires all voters, not just those
00:18:53.620 presenting to vote in person, to present photo identification before voting. It passed
00:19:00.060 overwhelmingly along with amendments to cap property taxes and income taxes. These are all
00:19:04.160 conservative ideas that are passing with strong margins, even as voters went for the Democrat
00:19:08.920 candidate, which, not to bring us back to the negative part of it, but that also makes it all
00:19:13.120 the more frustrating that the SAVE Act was never passed by Republicans, because you see how
00:19:17.440 overwhelmingly popular it is. That is a major piece of legislation, would be a major victory
00:19:23.740 that they could have done, and it would have been hugely popular on both sides of the aisle.
00:19:30.820 And they didn't even do that. They didn't even pass a popular piece of legislation with bipartisan
00:19:38.780 support. Maybe not bipartisan support in Congress, but bipartisan support among normal people.
00:19:45.280 They didn't even do that. Along the same lines, in California, of all places, voters overwhelmingly
00:19:50.600 rejected a wealth tax on billionaires, which the socialists had been demanding. The vote was
00:19:54.820 something like 55 to 45 against the wealth tax. That was Proposition 40. And not only that, by the
00:20:00.540 same margin, voters in California also passed a ban, Proposition 42, on new state personal property
00:20:05.840 taxes and certain retroactive state taxes. Basically, Prop 42 would prevent any wealth
00:20:11.160 taxes in the future, including new state taxes on personal assets, including retirement accounts,
00:20:15.480 investments, and business interests. So this was a total loss for the socialists on a major part
00:20:19.960 of their platform in a very left-wing state. Meanwhile, voters in Wisconsin voted to end DEI,
00:20:26.380 a measure passed 56 to 43 that, quote, prohibits government entities from discriminating or
00:20:31.100 granting preferential treatment based on race, sex, color, ethnicities, or national origin
00:20:34.840 in public employment, education, contracting, and administration.
00:20:38.240 So this is all very good news.
00:20:39.560 On a day that was disastrous overall for Republicans,
00:20:42.800 even in a massive blue wave election,
00:20:45.300 where Democrats completely dominated Republicans and flipped Texas,
00:20:48.420 and even a seat in Mississippi,
00:20:50.060 voters still made it clear that they don't like taxes, 0.75
00:20:54.220 they don't want to cave to the insane demands of trans activists, 0.60
00:20:57.620 they don't want DEI, they don't want voter fraud. 0.57
00:21:01.660 We've reached the point where ordinary household objects
00:21:04.200 require more supervision than the children. Charge this, update that, download an app so you can use
00:21:11.040 something that worked perfectly well before someone made it smart. Firearm storage is one
00:21:16.460 area where I can appreciate fewer complications. Owning a firearm comes with responsibilities and
00:21:21.220 deciding how to store it should not be an afterthought. That's what I appreciate about
00:21:25.200 the approach behind Stopbox. The Stopbox Pro is completely mechanical, no keys, no batteries,
00:21:29.160 Nothing to remember to charge before bed.
00:21:31.880 Its five-button mechanical interface is designed for muscle memory,
00:21:35.040 helping you maintain control over access to your firearm at a moment's notice.
00:21:39.800 A straightforward design with a clear purpose.
00:21:41.560 It's also made right here in the USA, supporting American workers.
00:21:44.700 And for those who need more room, the new Stopbox UCAN uses the same mechanical locking system
00:21:49.880 with additional capacity for firearms, ammunitions, and other equipment.

00:22:09.580 Holiday shopping gets difficult when the man you're buying for insists he doesn't need anything.
00:22:14.600 Usually it just means he'll keep wearing the same three things until the fabric gives up.
00:22:18.780 That's why I recommend Mack Weldon.
00:22:20.800 They make classic, comfortable menswear that works for real life,
00:22:24.280 doesn't require a man to suddenly develop an interest in fashion.
00:22:27.020 I recently added one of their new cardigans to the rotation.
00:22:30.280 My producer started wearing Mack Weldon shirts after looking for a shirt that remained durable
00:22:34.580 and kept its shape and color over many washes.
00:22:36.800 He likes the neutral ones and the breathable fabric.
00:22:40.360 He's got a lot of issues, but the t-shirt problem is solved, which I'm really happy to hear.
00:22:46.880 That's what makes Mack Weldon a practical gift.
00:22:49.320 Their pieces are comfortable, durable, and versatile.
00:22:51.820 Enough to wear from an ordinary workday to a holiday gathering.
00:22:55.100 They're not flashy, overly complicated, just timeless clothes made from comfortable performance materials.

00:23:25.100 So how do we explain why Republicans were demolished, even as voters expressed a preference for various conservative principles and agenda items?
00:23:35.580 Well, the answer to that is multifaceted, but the primary answer seems pretty obvious.
00:23:41.360 It's because this election was mainly about the fact that a lot of people now hate Donald Trump.
00:23:48.700 He's always been despised by a huge number of Americans,
00:23:52.200 but he used to also have a huge, extremely enthusiastic fan base to counteract it.
00:23:57.340 Well, now that fan base has dwindled to some degree, which is what it's always going to.
00:24:02.600 You can't maintain that level of political enthusiasm indefinitely. Nobody can.
00:24:09.100 And so, but without that, he's now left being the most despised politician of our lifetime.
00:24:15.240 I mean, he is.
00:24:17.820 Now, on the one hand, that's a pretty demoralizing realization.
00:24:21.500 A lot of people, myself included, supported Trump.
00:24:23.840 We had very high hopes for his second term in office.
00:24:26.220 We took him seriously when he said at the inauguration that we would enter a golden age,
00:24:29.960 one where, quote,
00:24:31.200 our power will stop all wars and bring a new spirit of unity
00:24:33.820 to a world that has been angry, violent, and totally unpredictable.
00:24:38.320 And even if we didn't actually believe that he would literally end all wars
00:24:42.940 and usher in a utopia,
00:24:45.140 The general idea of
00:24:47.780 He's not going to start new wars
00:24:48.840 Things will generally get better
00:24:50.080 I mean, that's why he supported him
00:24:51.480 And we were listening when he said
00:24:54.020 We will measure our success
00:24:55.760 Not only by the battles we win
00:24:57.280 But also by the wars that we end
00:24:58.760 And perhaps most importantly
00:24:59.800 The wars we never get into
00:25:01.980 Watch
00:25:03.220 Like in 2017
00:25:05.200 We will again build the strongest military
00:25:08.100 The world has ever seen
00:25:09.920 We will measure our success
00:25:12.200 Not only by the battles we win
00:25:14.260 but also by the wars that we end, and perhaps most importantly, the wars we never get into.
00:25:24.260 We will be a nation like no other, full of compassion, courage, and exceptionalism.
00:25:30.100 Our power will stop all wars and bring a new spirit of unity to a world that has been angry, violent, and totally unpredictable.
00:25:39.880 America will be respected again and admired again.
00:25:43.120 So that's what we were promised. What we got instead was an extreme degree of unpredictability
00:25:49.400 along with a new war. We got new tariffs every other week, sending the stock market crashing.
00:25:54.320 We were told about new ceasefires with Iran every couple of days, even though none of them meant
00:25:58.360 anything. You know, by my count, I think we won the war about 500 times since it started.
00:26:04.740 And here's the important thing. The states, by rejecting Trump, also empowered Democrats to a
00:26:09.640 degree that most people don't comprehend at the moment. You know, these state-level takeovers are
00:26:13.780 a much bigger deal than people realize, and they could dramatically change the way elections are
00:26:17.980 conducted going forward. It's true that Democrats didn't totally dominate every state. Republicans
00:26:21.720 have kept their majority in the state senate in Texas, for example, so the new Democrat governor
00:26:26.640 won't be able to destroy the state overnight. But their victories in states like Georgia, North
00:26:30.700 Carolina, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Ohio, Michigan, and Nevada, in addition to Texas, lay the groundwork
00:26:35.520 for a major change in our elections going forward. Pretty much every presidential swing state
00:26:39.140 is now controlled to one degree or another by Democrats.
00:26:43.260 And here's one way to count it, which was posted by Nate Silver.
00:26:47.760 It says, if the remaining results go as expected,
00:26:50.220 Democrats will hold governorships in states totaling 392 electoral votes.
00:26:55.900 So put another way, around 75% of America will have a Democrat governor.
00:27:00.100 That is a staggering takeover.
00:27:02.440 And the implications are massive.
00:27:04.840 For one thing, Democrats are going to gerrymander
00:27:07.020 every congressional district to ensure that they never lose the House majority ever again.
00:27:11.340 They're also going to change how elections are administered, since that generally falls
00:27:14.520 within the authority of the states. That means they're going to push the adoption of mail-in
00:27:17.880 ballots and absentee voting everywhere, along with the ballot harvesting and late voting.
00:27:22.160 Remember what we saw with Cam Higbee and James O'Keefe earlier this week when they walked into
00:27:25.720 a polling place in Minnesota and were allowed to vouch for nine other voters with no ID?
00:27:32.940 It's going to happen everywhere. They're also going to try to allow as much fraud as possible
00:27:36.560 by getting rid of ID requirements.
00:27:38.720 Although, as we just discussed,
00:27:39.660 voters in a few states have passed amendments
00:27:41.660 that prevent that.
00:27:44.160 There's another election-related downside
00:27:45.860 to Democrat control over so many states,
00:27:47.700 which is that we could see the end
00:27:49.680 of the Electoral College in the near future.
00:27:52.400 The Electoral College was set up by the founders
00:27:54.300 because they understood that direct democracy
00:27:56.400 and a popular vote wouldn't be consistent
00:27:58.540 with federalism, where each state has its own interests
00:28:00.800 that deserve representation.
00:28:02.680 Democrats, of course, oppose the Electoral College
00:28:04.440 because a large portion of their base
00:28:06.860 communists, and foreigners live in concentrated areas where the Electoral College dilutes their
00:28:12.760 vote. And to that end, there's something called the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact,
00:28:17.880 you should know about, where states would award their electoral votes to whatever candidate wins
00:28:23.540 the nationwide popular vote, regardless of what candidate actually wins the individual state.
00:28:29.400 And states have individually passed this compact into law. The compact activates only when
00:28:34.000 participating states plus DC collectively possess at least 270 electoral votes. Already 18 states
00:28:40.120 plus DC have enacted the compact representing 220 of the necessary 270 electoral votes. And now
00:28:47.580 after Tuesday, they're going to have enough to hit the 270 threshold. So this is from Axios.
00:28:55.880 Quote, Democrats sweeping state houses, Gaines Tuesday, have opened a path to effectively
00:29:01.080 replacing the Electoral College with a national popular vote in time for the 2028 presidential
00:29:06.360 election without needing to amend the Constitution. Democrats have won control of the governorship
00:29:11.040 and both legislative chambers in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Arizona, Wisconsin, and Nevada,
00:29:16.120 enough to push an agreement called the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact
00:29:19.720 beyond the 270-vote threshold required to take effect. The five states would still need to
00:29:25.300 enact the compact. It's not clear if it will be a priority for the new Democratic states.
00:29:31.080 This is one of the reasons a conservative Supreme Court is important. As Axios points out, various law professors have argued the compact is unconstitutional without congressional approval under the compact clause of the Constitution, which prevents states from entering into agreements with each other without the consent of Congress.
00:29:47.680 But if Democrats are able to pack the Supreme Court, none of that matters. And of course, given that John Roberts and Amy Coney Barrett aren't really conservative, there's a chance they'll get it done anyway in time for the 2020 election.
00:30:00.860 There's also a chance that Democrats fail to get this done.
00:30:03.460 Michigan, as Axios points out, failed to enact the compact the last time Democrats controlled
00:30:07.880 the state government.
00:30:09.120 Nevada's Democrat governor vetoed the compact in 2019 because he said it would reduce Nevada's
00:30:13.960 influence in national elections, which is true.
00:30:16.900 But 2026, as we've said so many times, is very different from 2019.
00:30:23.140 Democrats are far more unified than they've ever been.
00:30:25.500 They will probably be willing to surrender their state's influence
00:30:29.700 In exchange for the greater good of the party
00:30:32.920 So we should expect that this is going to happen
00:30:35.840 There are other major consequences of the Democrats' takeover of the states
00:30:40.320 The public school system is going to get even worse without a doubt
00:30:42.960 Even though it may seem physically impossible for it to get worse
00:30:45.960 It will
00:30:46.580 This is the new governor of Texas 1.00
00:30:48.960 A woman named Gina Hinojosa
00:30:51.360 And listen to this
00:30:55.500 We will work tirelessly to repair the damage of the Texas Voucher Scam.
00:31:05.500 And as an era in which our schools are sold for parts.
00:31:12.500 This is a victory for the parents of Texas.
00:31:17.500 We are taking our children's education back from a government that has failed them.
00:31:25.500 Schools will not be taken out of our control, they will not be shuttered or suffocated.
00:31:34.500 Being a parent is hard enough without carrying the burden of a government's failures.
00:31:46.500 To the children of Texas, your schools will not close.
00:31:55.940 You will be invested in and you...
00:31:58.960 So she's describing vouchers as a scam, which makes no sense whatsoever.
00:32:04.360 Vouchers are actually the opposite of a scam.
00:32:06.300 They allow parents to make the choice to send their children to good schools or to homeschool their children
00:32:10.880 instead of sending them to the crappy public schools in Texas, which rank near the bottom of the country.
00:32:16.300 The only reason Democrats oppose vouchers is that they recognize that when parents have a choice, 0.70
00:32:20.220 they generally don't prefer to subject their children to the unionized, illiterate school teachers
00:32:24.920 who staff the public schools in Texas.
00:32:28.000 So now the unions are just going to shut the vouchers down and force parents to send their children
00:32:32.920 to those non-competitive, dilapidated, useless schools.
00:32:36.500 Or by the way, the children will be encouraged to adopt fake genders in lieu of learning to read.
00:32:41.320 And this is going to play out all over the country in the states Democrats have just flipped.
00:32:45.460 For some historical context, the last time the South was solid blue, Democrats held Congress
00:32:52.180 almost continuously from the 1930s until 1994. From 1952 to 1992, they were counterbalanced
00:33:01.020 with an unusually high number of Republican presidents who checked their power, though
00:33:06.140 it's worth noting that the parties weren't really ideological back then to the same degree.
00:33:11.280 The exception was in the 1960s, obviously, which ended up being transformative.
00:33:15.460 and not in a good way. And we're in for another transformative period over the next few years,
00:33:20.580 there's no question. So what could a Republican administration do in 2028, assuming Democrats
00:33:26.920 retain control of Congress and assuming the composition of the Supreme Court stays the same?
00:33:31.760 Well, their main tool would probably have to be executive powers, which is the current
00:33:36.040 administration, you know, that's what they have been doing and using effectively. For example,
00:33:40.940 Trump has capped legal immigration through executive power and implemented successful
00:33:44.800 border policies through executive order. Ten years of low immigration will actually have a
00:33:50.640 major impact. That could be very significant electorally, and we shouldn't discount that. 0.72
00:33:56.440 But to win, it's going to take someone really good, okay, to state the obvious. Someone who
00:34:04.020 understands the moment we're in. Okay, someone who has not just the right policy ideas, but the
00:34:10.240 skill to communicate them in a compelling and authentic way. It has never been more necessary
00:34:15.740 for politicians, especially those with national ambitions, to be or at least seem authentic
00:34:22.160 and articulate and persuasive off the cuff. Now, this new generation of Democrats
00:34:29.900 does include a number of people who, even though they're totally wrong on the issues and also evil,
00:34:35.840 are able to speak and engage with the public in a way that, to most people, feels genuine and
00:34:41.420 unscripted. There's a number of these younger Democrats who are very skilled politicians and
00:34:48.880 communicators. Any Republican who lacks that skill, no matter how right they are on the issues,
00:34:57.000 is not a real contender. You might have been able to get away decades ago with being a
00:35:04.900 successful politician, even a president who can't communicate that well. You know, we had a
00:35:10.320 Republican president in the early 2000s that applied to. And then we had another one in the
00:35:16.640 2000s that it also applied to. But things are changing now. And timing matters also. Timing
00:35:21.740 is everything in politics, as they say. Some of the Republicans who might rush in to claim the
00:35:27.060 mantle are just simply too late. You know, they had their chance and missed it. And that list
00:35:34.120 includes, but certainly is not limited to. And we just have to be honest about this as we are,
00:35:40.160 because the task right now is to find who's going to carry the mantle, who the leader is going to be.
00:35:45.860 And we've got to be very clear about this. So John Thune, no, he's our worthless leader in
00:35:53.080 the Senate. It's not going to be him. It's not going to be Ted Cruz, who I like, but also was
00:35:57.940 an architect of the Iran war, is closely tied to the Trump brand, had his chance in 2016.
00:36:03.700 It's not going to be him.
00:36:04.660 It's not going to be Thomas Massey, who was rejected by his own primary voters.
00:36:08.960 And also, it's not going to be Donald Trump Jr., who has about as much chance of winning
00:36:12.940 the presidency as Jeb Bush did.
00:36:15.400 The public isn't moving on from the Trump brand.
00:36:18.220 And that would be true even if we hadn't just gotten blown out.
00:36:21.340 The Trump name has dominated the political discussion and steered the Republican ship
00:36:24.620 for the past decade.
00:36:25.660 It's not going to steer it for the next decade, and it shouldn't.
00:36:30.040 Okay, because this is America.
00:36:31.040 We don't do dynasties.
00:36:32.080 We don't do monarchies. So we're moving on now. The problem is that at this stage,
00:36:40.620 there aren't a lot of obvious contenders. Maybe more will materialize. And if that's going to
00:36:46.200 happen, it better happen soon. The battle for 2028 starts officially right now. J.D. Vance is
00:36:52.860 clearly a contender, although he faces the extraordinarily difficult task of presenting
00:36:56.940 himself as a new leader with a new vision, distancing himself from Trump's failures,
00:37:00.780 while not alienating Trump supporters. Not going to be an easy tightrope. It's not impossible.
00:37:07.220 Vance is a talented politician, so he could pull it off, even as his task is complicated even
00:37:13.120 further by the fact that Trump will happily throw him under the bus if Vance goes too far in trying
00:37:18.840 to draw distinctions between himself and Trump. So the high wire act for Vance is even higher
00:37:23.980 and the rope even thinner than it first appears. And yet again, I certainly wouldn't count him out.
00:37:30.440 Another contender is Ron DeSantis.
00:37:32.800 Now, in the case of DeSantis, you could make the argument from a political perspective
00:37:37.040 that he missed his window, too.
00:37:39.080 You know, timing is everything, and he had his shot and didn't do it, and now it's not
00:37:45.300 your time, you know?
00:37:46.720 And maybe that will ultimately turn out to be the case.
00:37:48.720 But it's also true that he was the best Republican governor in the country and is perhaps the
00:37:54.060 only legitimate Republican success story in the entire country right now.
00:37:58.220 whether he's able to seize the moment or not remains to be seen, but he clearly understands
00:38:04.840 the moment. And we're going to play two clips here to show that, but watch.
00:38:10.160 Let's just be clear about what happened last night. This is close to an extinction level event
00:38:17.740 for Republicans in many parts of the country, as we have seen probably in the last hundred years.
00:38:23.920 In January, when everyone in office leaves who were either term limited or got voted out of the 10 largest states in this union, only one state will have Republican control of their state, the state of Florida.
00:38:41.500 Well, you know, here's the problem that when people would say that, and if you're going to do
00:38:47.160 huge conservative things that are going to reorient the country for a generation, fine. But I saw no
00:38:53.940 indication that the current group of Republican senators were interested in doing that type of
00:39:00.280 bold conservative change. I mean, why haven't we done immigration, shut off H-1B visas? Why haven't
00:39:07.180 we codified Trump's immigration executive orders. Why haven't we stripped jurisdiction from the
00:39:14.080 federal courts over deportation cases? There's so many things that could have been done.
00:39:19.300 They didn't even attempt it, Laura. They would say, oh, if only we needed 50 votes,
00:39:23.300 we would have done it. You don't have 50 votes for doing conservative things. You've never shown
00:39:27.920 that you'll do conservative things, even with 50 votes. So I hear you. I'd love to see all this
00:39:33.300 great stuff being done. I just never saw an indication that they did it. And look, this
00:39:37.880 midterm, no question was a rebuke of the president and the Congress by Democrats, independents and
00:39:45.460 some Republicans that crossed over. But a lot of our voters who stayed home, they stayed home
00:39:51.300 because they were frustrated with the lack of productivity from Republicans in the House and
00:39:57.100 Senate. That's just a fact. They were promised big things and they didn't deliver it. So it's
00:40:02.800 really both sides of Pennsylvania Avenue. It's not just one. So Ron DeSantis, a real contender.
00:40:09.620 This is the approach we need to adopt. If we're going to have any chance of bringing this country
00:40:13.640 back from the brink, Republicans have to actually demonstrate the same level of commitment as
00:40:18.460 Democrats. You know, we don't really need any more trolling. We don't need any more.
00:40:27.480 like we don't need a president. We don't need leaders on the political scene who we think are
00:40:35.680 like funny and entertaining. These people are not here to entertain us. There's enough
00:40:42.600 entertainment out there. We don't really need that from our politicians. I don't need you to
00:40:45.860 be funny. I don't need you to entertain me. I don't need you to be relatable. I mean, you do
00:40:51.920 need to come off as authentic as we talked about, but I don't need to feel like you're my friend.
00:40:57.480 I don't need you to be a troll, you know.
00:41:01.180 We need a candidate who understands the stakes and takes them seriously.
00:41:05.500 And for his part, J.D. Vance put out a surprisingly honest and comprehensive assessment of the election.
00:41:11.560 Here's part of it.
00:41:13.080 It's worth going.
00:41:13.820 He posted this on X.
00:41:14.580 It's worth going and reading the whole thing.
00:41:16.240 But he said, the real reason we lost is obvious to almost everyone.
00:41:18.940 Another pollster, one of the smartest people I know in politics, told me yesterday, we lose the generic ballot by 13 points.
00:41:24.860 I felt negative going into Tuesday, but even I was shocked by this. In his polling, he saw that
00:41:29.300 a lot of Trump 2024 voters were angry and planning to vote for Democrats. He asked those voters who
00:41:34.080 had abandoned us, what would cause them to come back on our team? The top four answers, accounting
00:41:39.380 for nearly all the responses were, one, end the war. Two, focus on cost of living slash inflation.
00:41:46.220 Three, put America first. Four, change our relationship to Israel. In the next few months, 0.92
00:41:51.020 there's going to be a lot of gaslighting. Expect to hear any number of establishment politicians
00:41:55.020 say the solution to our woes is amnesty. I'm open to the idea that we should change enforcement by
00:41:59.900 focusing more on business than businesses that hire illegal labor, for instance, but anyone
00:42:05.100 pushing amnesty is lying to you. The reason we lost is the war. The president himself said so
00:42:09.700 last night. If you like to argue it was worth it, that losing the Senate for the next six years was
00:42:13.720 worth it, then do so. Argue it was a worthwhile cost to pay. Agree or disagree, that's at least
00:42:18.580 honest, but everyone knows why we lost. Now, this is maybe the most thorough and honest diagnosis
00:42:25.860 of an election defeat that we've ever seen from a politician at Vance's level. And he's right.
00:42:32.060 Now, you can quibble with some factors Vance left out, the terrorists, for example, but
00:42:35.540 it's a diagnosis that even Trump himself seemed to agree with. Now, at the same time,
00:42:40.860 we can't underestimate the extent to which Democrats will undermine themselves
00:42:44.180 in the interim. The president usually gets the blame when things go wrong, but given the scale
00:42:50.100 of the Democrat takeover, they're going to be in the spotlight to an unusual degree, and they've
00:42:54.580 taken on some jobs that they clearly can't handle. Does anyone seriously think Keisha Lance Bottoms
00:43:00.000 is going to be a competent governor in Georgia? Yes, exit polls and referendum outcomes show that
00:43:05.660 this wasn't ideological confirmation of Democrats, so much as it was just a total rejection of Trump.
00:43:12.440 But Democrats aren't going to see it that way.
00:43:16.240 They're going to think it was a validation of their agenda,
00:43:19.600 and they're going to enact it ruthlessly, as they do, as we've established.
00:43:24.160 And there's a high chance they overplay their hand.
00:43:26.900 Will Texas try to ban AR-15s?
00:43:30.300 Maybe they will.
00:43:32.060 But it's important to point out that in the past, 0.68
00:43:35.060 Democrats' self-immolation was largely the result,
00:43:37.980 at least on the national scale, of frivolous and baseless investigations and impeachments
00:43:44.320 targeted mainly at Trump. The investigations and impeachments will happen again.
00:43:51.660 Will they all be frivolous and baseless this time? I guess we're going to find out.
00:43:57.640 One way or another, if Democrats are able to coax Republicans into spending the next two years
00:44:03.360 circling the wagons around the Trump administration
00:44:05.800 and defending whatever they dig up,
00:44:08.560 we're going to lose.
00:44:10.380 We have to look forward. 0.91
00:44:13.120 Meanwhile, the administration can deal with its own messes.
00:44:18.180 That's not really our job.
00:44:20.920 And we shouldn't be focused on that.
00:44:23.240 Now, it is weird, for example,
00:44:24.900 that the Trump family has made hundreds of millions of dollars
00:44:27.460 on a crypto scheme while Trump is in office.
00:44:31.920 Democrats are going to have a field day.
00:44:34.100 They've already made this clear.
00:44:35.260 They've already announced this.
00:44:36.080 They're going to have a field day, ripping that to shreds.
00:44:38.800 That's going to be one of the first things they do, is look into this crypto stuff.
00:44:43.680 Looking for any laws that may have been violated.
00:44:46.720 I have no idea if they'll find any laws violated or not.
00:44:50.860 I'm not a lawyer.
00:44:52.500 But it's not my job to defend the president's crypto scheme.
00:44:56.160 And I won't, and neither should you.
00:44:57.640 This is another thing that could go wrong for Republicans over the next two years.
00:45:01.760 Because there are a lot of conservatives saying, oh, yeah, they're going to go way too far.
00:45:04.680 They're going to investigate, and they're going to turn people against them.
00:45:08.220 Maybe.
00:45:09.660 But what we have to be careful about is that as they start doing that,
00:45:13.500 conservatives get distracted by feeling like they have to defend,
00:45:17.080 oh, no, it is okay for the president to have a crypto scheme.
00:45:22.780 No, we don't have to defend that.
00:45:25.300 He can deal with that on his own.
00:45:26.460 That was his choice.
00:45:27.020 profiting to the tune of hundreds of millions
00:45:29.320 on a secretive and volatile industry
00:45:31.260 that your own administration regulates
00:45:32.900 is really weird.
00:45:34.500 It doesn't look good.
00:45:35.960 Even if it's legal,
00:45:37.100 it might be an issue for Trump.
00:45:39.060 It's not our issue.
00:45:40.680 We have to focus on the future.
00:45:43.900 He's got his own lawyers.
00:45:45.020 They'll figure that out.
00:45:47.580 But we're not going to spend our time
00:45:48.940 defending that kind of thing.
00:45:50.500 We don't have time for that.
00:45:52.880 Hosting for the holidays is largely an exercise
00:45:54.640 in pretending you were made to command an army.
00:45:58.120 There are meals to prepare, rooms to clean, schedules to coordinate,
00:46:01.780 and relatives who will immediately ask, you know,
00:46:04.220 where you keep something that they are standing right next to.
00:46:07.260 All of this is easier to manage when you're actually sleeping well.
00:46:10.440 And then since switching to Helix, I'm sleeping much better
00:46:12.920 and no longer starting the day feeling like I'm already several hours behind.

00:46:18.820 and their two-minute sleep quiz matches you with the right one

00:46:57.860 by everyday expenses, groceries, gas, bills piling up, you're not alone. Most Americans are putting
00:47:04.140 those expenses on credit cards and credit card rates are insane in the 20s or even 30s in some
00:47:09.500 cases. American Financing can show you how to use your home equity to pay off that debt. Their

00:47:56.340 who save over $199.99. And we also have to concede that there will be some luck involved
00:48:02.900 and there might be a need to try some of our own electoral shenanigans without breaking the law,
00:48:08.180 of course, which is what Democrats just did in Alaska. For example, Republicans should seriously
00:48:13.700 consider voting in Democrat primaries to get them to nominate Kamala Harris again. 0.99
00:48:18.880 We should import as many conservative voters from foreign countries as possible and settle
00:48:23.340 them in blue states, which is fully within the power of the federal government. Congress can't 0.90
00:48:28.200 interfere. It's what the Democrats have been doing for decades. And most importantly, on a related 0.97
00:48:35.680 good note, we need to find a way to get Texas back in the Republican column. For many years,
00:48:39.200 Democrats would openly talk about their plans to flip Texas. Here's Julian Castro in 2013,
00:48:43.960 for example. Watch. In a couple of presidential cycles, you'll be on election night. You'll be
00:48:49.380 announcing that we're calling the 38 electoral votes of Texas for the Democratic nominee for
00:48:54.200 president. It's changing. It's going to become a purple state and then a blue state because of
00:48:59.040 demographics, because of the population growth of folks from outside of Texas. Well, he was right.
00:49:04.580 The party had a goal, and for more than a decade, really for several decades, they pursued it, and they won.
00:49:11.220 And I'm firmly in the camp that the GOP has no future as a national party without Texas.
00:49:16.500 I'm aware of the fact that in 2024, Trump would have won the presidential election without Texas,
00:49:21.960 but that's only because Democrats ran the weakest candidate in a century, an alcoholic who could barely speak English,
00:49:27.820 who spent half of her campaign talking about coconut trees and the urgent need for taxpayer-funded
00:49:32.680 sex changes for illegal aliens in prison, if Democrats had run an actual candidate, 1.00
00:49:38.840 Trump would have needed Texas to win. It's an essential part of the political map for the GOP.
00:49:45.000 Now, I'm not prepared to say that Texas is now permanently blue or necessarily will be blue in
00:49:49.720 the presidential election. If it is permanently blue, then the Republican Party is done.
00:49:57.380 We just can't accept that reality, because if it's permanently blue, then the Republican
00:50:00.900 Party is done.
00:50:02.080 It really is over at that point.
00:50:03.880 You cannot be a legitimate national political party if your only path to victory is hoping
00:50:09.220 that the other team runs the worst candidate in the history of the universe, and then hoping
00:50:14.140 the map works out exactly correctly, and you can squeak out a win with a razor-thin margin,
00:50:19.900 which again, is the only way Republicans can win without Texas.
00:50:23.780 This is not a viable long-term strategy.
00:50:26.420 We need, then, a comprehensive plan as quickly as possible for how to win Texas back.
00:50:31.400 And based on the fact that Hispanics went overwhelmingly for Trump in 2024 and broke sharply against him on Tuesday,
00:50:36.220 it's fair to conclude that the showy public ice enforcement theater wasn't a good political strategy. 0.99
00:50:44.880 You know, sending Kristi Noem out, face caked in makeup, dressed like the Tomb Raider, 1.00
00:50:50.320 to call as much attention as possible to your deportation efforts was a very stupid political move. 0.97
00:50:56.960 So as Vance said, it's probably a good idea to try some alternative approaches, 0.99
00:51:00.240 starting with going after businesses that hire illegals, 0.95
00:51:02.480 which is something we've been talking about for months on this show.
00:51:05.880 It doesn't mean amnesty, and it doesn't mean we stop deporting illegal aliens.
00:51:11.060 After all, Trump won the Hispanic vote in Texas in 2024,
00:51:13.760 and his entire platform was deporting illegals.
00:51:16.980 Tom Homan stood up at the RNC and told illegals to pack their bags,
00:51:20.440 and it didn't hurt Trump in Texas at all.
00:51:23.220 But there are smarter and more strategic ways to go about it.
00:51:26.420 Continue the deportations.
00:51:27.900 Don't call attention to them on purpose.
00:51:31.300 That's one change that should happen immediately.
00:51:33.240 And while we're at it, we need to lift any tariffs that are currently affecting Texas in any way,
00:51:37.640 including tariffs on automobiles, copper, steel, aluminum, Canadian imports, lumber, etc. 0.88
00:51:44.140 We should obviously end the war in Iran, cut off Ukraine unless they stop bombing Russian fuel infrastructure, 0.93
00:51:50.280 which is raising the price of fuel for everybody.
00:51:51.760 these are all steps that might help get some voters in texas back on board
00:51:56.580 it's clear that greg abbott in the white house took texas for granted
00:52:00.340 and that simply can't happen anymore the trump the trump era ended in disaster because of apathy
00:52:09.860 and trump gave up and he's not even hiding anymore which is why he's still talking about
00:52:14.000 his ballroom yesterday hours after the worst republican midterm defeat of all time trump
00:52:19.280 was busy giving reporters a tour of his White House renovations. It's baffling until you realize
00:52:28.320 that Trump isn't at all concerned about securing the future of the Republican Party or the
00:52:32.100 conservative movement. So what's needed now is a Republican candidate who is not 80 years old,
00:52:37.720 who has some connection to everyday Americans who are suffering in this economy,
00:52:42.120 who actually has something relevant to say when he starts talking.
00:52:46.640 You know, there was some charm to Trump's kind of rambling, discursive communication strategies
00:52:51.900 in the early years. But nowadays, when Americans hear the president on stage talking about some
00:52:56.840 guy's ass, they're tired of it. They're not amused. And they want a leader who takes the 0.99
00:53:03.600 job seriously and communicates like an adult. And believe it or not, these are not unattainable
00:53:08.860 wishlist items. They're actually very achievable goals. But we're on the clock. We have less than
00:53:14.820 two years to find the polar opposite of John Thune. We have two years to find an America
00:53:19.800 first candidate who actually understands what America first means. We need someone new to come
00:53:25.560 down the escalator and put an end to the Democrat-led plunder of our country, which is going
00:53:29.680 to continue unabated for the next two years. What we have, which Democrats don't, is a coherent
00:53:35.860 understanding of what America is and who Americans are. And to win, we need to do what Donald Trump
00:53:42.340 promised to do all the way back in 2016. We need to oust the establishment politicians
00:53:46.760 without becoming them. We need to protect our job and housing markets from the foreign 1.00
00:53:51.380 flood. And ultimately, and most importantly, we have to be able to look every American
00:53:57.160 in the eye, particularly all the white guys that have been demonized for the better part
00:54:00.640 of the past century, and explain to them how we can help them get a job and afford a house.
00:54:05.640 and if we can do that, we'll win. If we can't, we won't, and we won't deserve to.
00:54:15.660 Before we wrap up, I also want to mention that next week, Confession, the movie Confession,
00:54:20.100 comes out on Daily Wire. It's a legitimately good movie. It's exactly what we need to be making,
00:54:26.580 especially in a time like this, and if you're a member and want to see it with an audience,
00:54:32.000 you can go to Daily Wire and claim your free ticket to watch it in theaters. It'll be available
00:54:35.540 in theaters i think for just one day so make sure you go and claim those tickets and we will talk
00:54:41.140 to you on monday have a great weekend godspeed father i used to feel christ i cannot feel anything
00:54:58.320 I don't know anything here.
00:55:10.320 They take me out of my bed,
00:55:12.320 and they brought me here, and they tell me nothing.
00:55:14.320 What have I done?
00:55:15.320 Article 58, counter-revolutionary activity.
00:55:18.320 That is all I know.
00:55:20.320 They have to deal with so many enemies of the state,
00:55:24.320 all of whom claim their innocence,
00:55:26.320 who protest, who cry.
00:55:35.140 There are no answers here
00:55:37.120 other than the ones they put in your mouth.
00:55:41.280 You'll break.
00:55:44.000 Today is your opportunity
00:55:46.440 to demonstrate your loyalty to the people.
00:55:50.860 I'd like to know why I'm here.
00:55:53.060 Of course.
00:55:56.320 But you already know, don't you?
00:55:58.320 You must believe in something greater than the party.
00:56:02.320 You will remember your duty.
00:56:04.320 I have told you I know nothing.
00:56:06.320 Knee ground like a feral animal. 1.00
00:56:09.320 You stink of failure. 1.00
00:56:11.320 You want me to lie. 1.00
00:56:13.320 Still a drunk! 1.00
00:56:14.320 Damn you! 1.00
00:56:17.320 They all break. 1.00
00:56:21.320 Maybe.
00:56:26.320 You
