00:00:00.000 Today on The Matt Walsh Show, teachers around the country are claiming that going back to school
00:00:04.180 would be a death sentence for them, yet many of them are out protesting in large crowds. It's
00:00:08.320 almost as if their fear of returning to work is performative and fake. I don't know. We'll talk
00:00:13.720 about that. Also, five headlines, including, speaking of teachers, a teacher who specializes
00:00:17.280 in helping children with emotional needs now arrested for assaulting a state senator at a
00:00:22.820 protest. So I think maybe she has emotional needs of her own. And in our daily cancellation,
00:00:27.520 we will cancel everyone who is claiming that police arresting suspects are kidnapping them.
00:00:34.900 So all of that on the way. But first, a word from Ready Wise. You know, as you probably already know,
00:00:40.380 our sponsor, Wise Company, has changed their name to Ready Wise. And Ready Wise is all about being
00:00:45.440 ready, being prepared, being wise, as their name suggests in case of an emergency. Look, now is

00:02:35.680 Now this week, public school teachers in DC, who you understand care for nothing as much as educating
00:02:42.360 the children and equipping the new generation with the tools they need to succeed in life. That's what
00:02:47.380 we're told about teachers. That's all they care about. But they protested the plan to possibly
00:02:51.620 reopen schools in the fall by placing fake body bags outside of the school district's office,
00:02:57.860 striking a careful balance between absurd melodrama and shameless self-aggrandizement.
00:03:04.360 One of the bags was accompanied by, you can see here, a cardboard gravestone that said,
00:03:08.440 RIP favorite teacher. Then you can see the others, they read, killed in the line of duty.
00:03:13.780 How many will you let die? Teachers across the country have been engaging in these kinds of
00:03:20.300 theatrics for weeks now. A recent CNN article says that educators are preparing their wills
00:03:26.940 in anticipation of going back to work, which going back to work is an act apparently tantamount to
00:03:31.920 being sent to death row. In fact, a recent article on a website for educators called Bored Teacher,
00:03:36.880 which I guess I know why they're bored, they're not working, claims outright that reopening schools
00:03:41.260 is a, quote, death sentence for teachers, which seems to be the general sentiment expressed by
00:03:45.880 many of the hundreds of teachers who have taken to the streets to protest the reopening of schools.
00:03:51.280 Now, one can't help but wonder why these teachers who seem, who see the classroom as some kind of
00:03:58.340 death chamber apparently have no concern about protesting in large groups.
00:04:03.060 You know, we should note that teachers have also had a notable presence at the BLM protests
00:04:07.600 and the riots for the past several weeks. In Portland, they've even formed a group called
00:04:12.480 Teachers Against Tyrants, because again, they have nothing better to do. And they've been wading
00:04:17.000 into the non-socially distanced mass of people to convey that political message. In Philadelphia,
00:04:23.100 teachers gathered with their students to march for Black Lives Matter. Similar scenes have unfolded
00:04:28.100 other places. Texas, Austin, Texas, they've been out with their students as well.
00:04:31.620 Well, if teaching in front of a classroom of children is a death sentence, what about standing
00:04:37.280 in an enormous crowd of other adults? Isn't that a death sentence? Now, in reality, of course,
00:04:44.220 neither a protest nor a classroom is a death sentence or anything close to it. The average
00:04:49.000 age of a public school teacher in America is 41, putting most of them well outside of the high-risk
00:04:54.940 age bracket. They're also working closely with children, a group that happens to be least at
00:05:00.620 risk of contracting, spreading, or developing serious complications from the virus. So it's
00:05:05.900 not that teaching carries no COVID risk at all, but that the risk is far less significant than what
00:05:11.600 we're being told and what they're pretending. And whatever the risk, it's hard to see how it
00:05:16.660 would be substantially greater than the risk of attending a raucous protest with thousands of
00:05:21.600 other adults. Meanwhile, grocery stores, Walmarts, many other retailers have been open throughout the
00:05:29.140 pandemic. Even at its height, they were open. Now, it's possible that I missed it, but I don't recall
00:05:33.820 the collective voice of our nation's teachers crying out for Target to be closed for the sake of its
00:05:38.960 workers. In fact, I would guess that a fair number of these people who are allegedly so petrified of
00:05:43.940 returning to the classroom have themselves been patronizing retail establishments and grocery stores
00:05:48.200 this entire time. And it's not just teachers. I don't remember hearing almost anyone demand that
00:05:53.820 these places be closed. If we're supposed to weep for the fate of our doomed teachers,
00:05:58.740 why not Kroger cashiers? What about them? Now, I'll be told that all of this is very different from
00:06:05.340 the situation teachers will be in when they return to school. School is indoors. It lasts for several
00:06:10.840 hours. Many students are confined to one classroom, all of that. Now, it's true that those factors
00:06:17.400 present unique challenges. But there are also unique advantages, namely, as I already outlined,
00:06:23.740 the fact that kids are statistically unlikely to contract or spread the virus. Teachers will be
00:06:27.780 spending most of their time, therefore, with the safest group of people to be around, at least as far
00:06:34.200 as COVID is concerned. So this is one of the reasons, by the way, that the American Academy of
00:06:39.240 Pediatrics recommends that schools be reopened in the fall. These are pediatricians saying we have to
00:06:44.500 reopen schools. But the main thing that ought to balance out the challenges and prompt any dedicated
00:06:54.320 and good teacher to call for a return to class is the overwhelming importance of education. This,
00:07:00.800 after all, is the actual reason why few people complained about grocery stores and retail outlets
00:07:05.320 remaining open. We all believe those establishments are essential to the proper functioning of society.
00:07:11.520 That's why we were fine with them being open. Don't we just say the same, only more so for
00:07:16.460 education? Now, I've already argued on a previous show that, as far as I am concerned, public school
00:07:22.420 teachers can and probably, in most cases, should be replaced by parents. As a homeschool advocate,
00:07:28.280 I don't think that public school is essential. But most of the people protesting the reopening of
00:07:33.120 schools would disagree. It's they who would say, in any other circumstance, that kids need school
00:07:39.100 and will be gravely harmed without it. So isn't that enough reason to reopen the schools? Putting
00:07:45.680 everything else aside, shouldn't the fact that our children allegedly need the public school system
00:07:50.900 be sufficient justification for getting them open again? Isn't that all we need to say if you really
00:07:56.120 care about the kids? It's clear that the move to keep schools closed has less to do with precaution
00:08:02.580 than with priority. Education is not as important to some of these teachers as they used to pretend.
00:08:08.400 They will risk their lives to send a political message at a protest or to shop at Target,
00:08:13.580 but not to teach our kids. Children have to take a backseat. But if there is one good thing to come
00:08:20.400 out of all of this, I think, what we're seeing now with teachers all over the country putting politics
00:08:25.660 before their students and demanding that schools remain closed indefinitely, education be damned,
00:08:31.880 what we're seeing really is the official and final death of the hero teacher narrative. Because for a
00:08:38.660 long time, teachers were put forth as an untouchable group. Saints, martyrs, heroes above criticism.
00:08:46.900 The teachers unions have worked very hard to construct and defend this false narrative and inculcate
00:08:51.860 society into it. It was never true, of course. I mean, no group is above criticism, least of all
00:08:57.100 government employees. And given that these government employees work with our children and
00:09:01.480 are entrusted with so much authority over our children, it is absolutely essential that we keep
00:09:07.100 a critical eye trained on them and that we're ready to hold them accountable. It's extremely dangerous
00:09:11.960 for teachers, of all people, teachers, to be seen as above criticism. And this becomes even more the
00:09:18.480 case when you consider that these government employees who spend eight hours a day with our
00:09:22.300 kids and have enormous influence over our kids also happen to be overwhelmingly aligned with one
00:09:28.420 political ideology. So just to give you an idea of how strikingly disproportionate this is,
00:09:33.280 I'm going to read a little bit from an article on the Pacific Research Institute's website.
00:09:38.680 Here's what it says. This might not surprise you. It doesn't surprise you that they're biased,
00:09:43.620 but it might surprise you to see just how unbalanced it is. The Washington Post,
00:09:46.840 this is the Pacific Research Institute, says, the Washington Post reported on research conducted
00:09:51.720 by Verdant Labs using political contribution data on the Democrat-Republican divide based on job type.
00:09:57.880 While it is unsurprising that among actors and actresses, there are 90 Democrats for every 10
00:10:02.400 Republicans, many would be amazed to discover that teachers are actually as liberal or even more so
00:10:07.460 than those in acting. Among English teachers, there are 97 Democrats for every three Republicans,
00:10:13.480 with the proportion being even more one-sided among health teachers, with 99 Democrats for every one
00:10:19.380 Republican. 99 to one. While there are slightly more Republicans among math and science teachers,
00:10:25.560 the article continues and says, among high school teachers overall, there are 87 Democrats for every
00:10:31.360 13 Republicans. 87 to 13 overall. Okay. Now, just because a teacher has a certain political leaning,
00:10:40.280 that doesn't mean they're going to overtly attempt to indoctrinate children into it. But many do
00:10:46.340 overtly. And many others do so not as overtly, and perhaps not even consciously, but they still do it.
00:10:53.160 My point here is simply that, for the sake of our kids, this is a profession we should be watching
00:10:58.120 very closely, like a hawk, very critically. Many teachers are good at their jobs, and really do care for
00:11:04.380 their kids, and are wonderful people. I had some teachers like that as a kid. But other teachers are,
00:11:09.680 let's face it, political hacks, highly ideological in their approach, selfish, ill-equipped, incompetent,
00:11:17.440 dishonest. And this group has been making itself especially known this summer. And this is all
00:11:22.600 something we should keep in mind for the future. One final point. Okay. I just want to mention this
00:11:29.180 too, because I know it's going to come up. It will be argued that it's okay to close schools,
00:11:33.420 because we could just teach kids online, right? We don't even need schools to be open.
00:11:38.940 This is false. And it's coming from people, remember, who under any other circumstance
00:11:42.760 would say that the actual in-person experience of school is essential to a child's development.
00:11:48.320 We homeschoolers have been hearing this socialization line for decades. We have to
00:11:52.860 send our kids to school to be properly socialized. Now, once again, I disagree with that claim. But
00:11:58.300 the people who made that claim should agree with it, which means they shouldn't be saying that now
00:12:03.680 school can be replaced with a computer screen, and we're not going to lose anything in translation.
00:12:08.040 But even aside from the social aspect, do you really think that a nine-year-old kid
00:12:13.120 can be effectively taught via Zoom meeting or Skype chat? No, the idea is absurd. It's hard
00:12:20.180 enough for kids to focus in a physical classroom. Now you expect them to focus and learn by sitting
00:12:25.060 in a chair for hours a day watching a talking head lecture them over video? Again, the idea is absurd.
00:12:32.020 You cannot replace in-person learning with videos. Kids are human beings, not robots.
00:12:38.040 If we care about educating our children, we'll teach them in person. That's what they need and
00:12:44.680 deserve, and that's what any good teacher would be wanting and urging that we do. All right, let's go to
00:12:53.200 five headlines.
00:12:53.900 And we're about to run through a bunch of headlines. Remember, you know, there's so much going on in

00:13:41.480 Here's a good place to start. Nice transition. Two women have been arrested for assaulting a Democratic
00:13:46.620 state senator in Wisconsin. They went to the protest. I think it was in Milwaukee. The senator
00:13:52.420 was there taking pictures. This is a Democrat. And they run up and assault him for no reason. They
00:13:58.460 just assault him. Here are the mugshots of these lovely ladies. You can take a look there.
00:14:02.800 Samantha R. Hamer and Karida E. O'Reilly. Now here comes the twist ending. One of these women
00:14:10.360 is a teacher. Can you guess which one? If you guess the green haired one, well, nice guess. And I wish
00:14:18.900 you were right because that would be just perfect for what we're talking about. But no, actually the
00:14:22.860 blonde chick is the teacher. But either way, not just a teacher. Okay. She's a school social worker
00:14:29.780 who specializes in working with kids with emotional needs and behavioral issues. This is someone
00:14:35.480 who's supposed to be helping children with emotional needs and behavioral issues who is out in the
00:14:41.720 street assaulting state senators. Number two, let's stay here on the subject of lovely ladies at BLM
00:14:49.700 protests. Here's a Portland mom offering a rather loud and unsolicited explanation as to why she is out
00:14:57.160 protesting. Watch this.
00:14:59.400 I'm so tired of this. I am so tired. I'm sleep deprived because I'm a single mom and I work full
00:15:08.240 time and I have to come and spend my nights with you because I can't stand in my own streets and say
00:15:15.480 black lives matter. Black lives matter. That's why we're here. We're not here because of some
00:15:21.000 building. We don't care about the building. We don't care about your stupid fence. We care about
00:15:26.600 black lives. And I'm a mom and I heard George when he called out mama. That's why I'm here.
00:15:35.020 That's why I'm here. Because George called out for his mama. You all have moms. Your mom loves you.
00:15:46.160 George's mom loves you. And my kids love me and I want to go home to them. But they agree that this
00:15:53.560 is important. And it's not about some white ladies. It's not about me. It's about black lives matter.
00:16:00.300 There's so many amazing black women have been doing this fight for years and I showed up late. I'm so
00:16:05.680 tardy to this party. But I'm making up for it because I'm so angry. So angry. And black, black people are
00:16:13.440 allowed to be angry. And who cares if somebody graffitis on this stupid building? We're talking
00:16:18.220 about human lives. Of course, none of what she's saying there makes any sense whatsoever.
00:16:23.340 It was a stirring monologue. I'll give her that. Very well rehearsed. And so I give her credit for
00:16:28.580 that. But she says she can't stand in the street and shout black lives matter. Meanwhile, that's exactly
00:16:36.720 what she's doing. She's standing in the street shouting about how she can't shout. I can't shout black
00:16:42.740 lives matter. I'm not allowed to do what I'm doing right now. This is outrageous. I can't do the thing
00:16:48.560 that I'm doing. And, you know, in fact, not only can you stand in the street and shout black lives
00:16:57.280 matter, but in many cases you can commit felonies. And as long as you shout black lives matter while you
00:17:03.220 do it, you're not going to be arrested. So this is another protester who just has imagined
00:17:09.040 a form of oppression in her head. She has fabricated it like science fiction,
00:17:14.860 just make believe. And she's out protesting against the oppression that she made up in her head.
00:17:23.080 And the whole bit about, you know, George Floyd crying out for his mama and she's there for George.
00:17:28.180 You know, I'm sorry. Call me cynical. I just don't buy the performative tears for George Floyd at this
00:17:33.720 point. I don't buy it. I'm sorry. I, two months later and you're, you're still overcome with grief
00:17:39.580 in tears. No, there's quite a lot of death and murder in the streets of Portland or any other
00:17:46.860 city every day. Has this woman cried tears for them? I mean, you're, you're, you're apparently so
00:17:53.460 empathetic that this one person you don't know dies two months later, you're still not over. I mean,
00:17:59.880 two months later, you're still in tears, literally breaking down, weeping in the street. Well, so
00:18:05.080 with all of that overwhelming exuding empathy, do you, what about all the other death? Does it,
00:18:11.580 does that, I mean, do you walk through your, your day every day, just overcome with tears at death and
00:18:17.000 murder? Or is it just this one particular death that upsets you so much and not all the others?
00:18:23.020 We talked about Brittany Hill yesterday, young mother gunned down by Chicago gang members while
00:18:27.780 holding her one-year-old daughter. Her daughter cried out for mama. What about that? Why isn't
00:18:34.200 this woman breaking down publicly in tears over that? I mean, is it because her tears
00:18:39.860 only come out in politically and ideologically expedient moments? Is that why?
00:18:49.160 Number three, here's some good news. Okay, let's, too much bad news. Let's get to some good news.
00:18:52.560 All of that coronavirus cash was handed out, you know, loans and stimuluses from the government.
00:18:58.060 And if you're wondering whatever happened to that, don't worry, it was put to good use.
00:19:02.920 David T. Hines of Miami obtained nearly 4 million in loans and went out and bought a Lamborghini.
00:19:09.700 There's a, the car right there. Not a bad, not a bad vehicle. Not as nice as what I drive.
00:19:15.560 You know, I mean, it's a little bit, it's a few steps down for my tastes anyway. But here's,
00:19:22.160 here's click Orlando.com reporting says a South Florida man fraudulently obtained 3.9 million
00:19:28.420 dollars in federal coronavirus relief loans using money, uh, some of the money to buy a $318,000
00:19:34.060 Lamborghini. Prosecutors say David T. Hines was arrested and charged last week with bank fraud,
00:19:39.240 making false statements to financial institutions and engaging in transaction.
00:19:42.060 Defense attorney Chad, uh, Petrowski said Hines is a legitimate business owner who is anxious to tell
00:19:50.600 his side of the story. He's, he's got his side of it. It's not what it looks like. All right.
00:19:56.960 Like I know it looks bad right now. I've got a $319,000 car that I bought with coronavirus
00:20:02.220 loans. I know it looks bad. I know how this looks. Got a good explanation. I'm, uh, I'm anxious,
00:20:09.060 I'm anxious to hear what it is. I, we're not provided the explanation, but now it's kind of
00:20:12.720 a cliffhanger. We'll have to check back, I guess. I'll, I'll, I'll keep updating us on this story.
00:20:16.640 Uh, let's go to the AP. Joe Biden yesterday was photographed holding his notes, um, for remarks
00:20:24.080 he was given and he was giving remarks and he had, he had notes and the AP got a good, a good view of
00:20:30.960 his notes. Let's look at this picture there. Um, okay. His, his handwriting is almost worse than
00:20:37.940 mine and my eyesight isn't very good. So let me see if I can, um, okay. It says Kamala Harris do not
00:20:45.600 hold the grudges. Is that, so is he, is he listing good things about her, um, campaigned with me and
00:20:57.200 Jill talent. Does that say talented? Talented? I can't tell what that says. Hold on. Talented.
00:21:09.640 Great help to campaign. Great respect for her. How does he read? I have this problem with my own
00:21:15.680 notes when I write notes for myself and I can't tell it's like a foreign language. I can't read my
00:21:20.120 own handwriting. I go back and try to, I have to decipher it. I have to call in a, you know, like an
00:21:24.320 Egyptologist, Egypt, Egyptologist. Are they the ones that the cipher hierarchy reflects? Anyway,
00:21:29.740 um, uh, I'm just trying to figure out. So he's, he's listing good things or is he saying Kamala
00:21:37.900 Harris do not hold, like he's telling himself not to hold grudges against her. Are these,
00:21:42.660 these are reminders to himself about what he should think about her? Is that what this is?
00:21:48.840 Just remind you, you ever seen that movie Memento with, um, you know, where the main character has,
00:21:54.360 uh, he, he, he's a, he has no memory. So he forgets things after 40 seconds. He has to,
00:21:59.560 he has to write all these notes. He actually tattoos them on himself just to tell him what
00:22:03.500 he should be thinking and feeling kind of reminds me of that. All right. Number five, finally,
00:22:07.940 very important report here in the daily mail. Listen to this. It says women across the country
00:22:12.980 are reporting a rise in aggressive eye contact since the introduction of face coverings in some
00:22:19.340 public places. New laws introduced over the weekend forced customers to wear face masks in
00:22:24.760 all shop stations, banks, and post offices, while it was also mandatory to wear coverings on public
00:22:29.260 transport. But many women have been sharing stories online of aggressive eye contact and quote,
00:22:35.040 hard staring from men wearing masks with one tweeting grown men staring at you with a mask on is
00:22:41.360 worse than when they don't have a mask. UN women, UK executive director, Claire Burnett, uh, or Barnett
00:22:47.380 told email that's what F E M A I L, uh, said as we work to build back better following lockdowns,
00:22:57.740 we need to prevent the lack of witness of antisocial behavior due to less populated public spaces,
00:23:03.420 as well as the anonymity face coverings can provide leading to further rises in harassment and
00:23:08.780 threatening actions towards women, girls, and minoritized groups. Uh, this will require
00:23:13.280 widespread changes in attitudes and behaviors, uh, creating an understanding that behavior like
00:23:18.640 unwanted and persistent staring is intimidating, that we will have a role to play in making our
00:23:24.200 public spaces more inclusive. Okay. So this is someone from the UN who is set on the task of
00:23:32.520 dealing with the problem of aggressive eye contact. I, I don't even, what is a, how can you make eye
00:23:39.100 contact aggressively hard staring? I don't even know what that is, but either way, this, once again,
00:23:45.600 we have the feminists, strong, independent women who are traumatized by aggressive eye contact.
00:23:55.460 Sure. That's feminism for you. All right. We're going to move on to our daily cancellation. Um, but first,
00:24:02.520 if you haven't picked up Ben Shapiro's new book, you got to do that. His new book out called how to
00:24:06.800 destroy America three steps. He did a live signing last Tuesday. And I think his hand might be broken
00:24:11.280 because he's only signing, you know, he's signing copies today and tomorrow. So if you want to get a
00:24:15.480 signed copy, um, there might not be many chances left to do it. Get your copy now at dailywire.com
00:24:22.780 slash Ben. Okay. Now for our daily cancellation, speaking of aggressive, we are going to cancel
00:24:27.440 aggressively and with great wrath and vengeance. Everyone who is pushing the police are kidnapping
00:24:33.860 people narrative. Now we know this started in Portland when uniformed police officers were
00:24:38.240 seen arresting someone and putting them in an unmarked vehicle. This is something that has
00:24:42.320 happened countless times over many decades. It is very normal. Um, there is nothing unique or new
00:24:48.560 about it, but suddenly somehow for some reason, it's a scandal. You know, it's a, it's a, it's a horrible
00:24:55.160 thing that's happening where we're, we're arresting people in unmarked vehicles. So here's the latest
00:25:00.240 now a video of someone being arrested by NYPD has gone viral and has the left to include people like
00:25:06.840 Chris Hayes and Jerry Nadler. Very, very upset about this video. Just, uh, we'll, we'll play it right
00:25:12.500 now. Watch this.
00:25:42.500 There is nothing strange or upsetting or disturbing about what you just saw. It's an arrest. That's
00:26:00.700 all. Yes. The person being arrested doesn't want to be, but that's pretty typical of arrests.
00:26:06.860 The only other option aside from arresting people like that is, is, is to do it consensually. And
00:26:11.320 this appears to be what the left has in mind. You know, this is the way they think arrests should
00:26:15.820 go. Now the officer should walk up, I guess, very, very politely and say, say, excuse me,
00:26:20.280 uh, but I noticed you committing a series of felonies. Would you mind if I arrested you for
00:26:23.920 that? I mean, you see, we have these things called laws and typically we, what was that? Oh,
00:26:28.640 you don't, you don't want to be arrested. You know? Oh, well, okay. I had no idea. So sorry to
00:26:33.420 bother you. Please, please continue here. Is this what you're about to throw a rock at a cop car,
00:26:37.800 right? Well, here you go. Here's the rock right back. Well, um, please,
00:26:40.940 please proceed. Sorry to interrupt. Have a great day, sir. Now I wish I was joking that that is
00:26:46.780 really what they want. Um, many leftists in response to this video have declared that the
00:26:53.980 arrest was unjustified. How could they possibly know that from that footage? It seems like they
00:27:00.040 just have a problem with arrests in general. How can you see a video of someone being arrested?
00:27:04.500 No context, no footage of what transpired before it, and just know automatically that the person
00:27:11.180 is innocent. You don't even know what they're accused of doing. I don't know what this person
00:27:16.080 is accused of doing or why they're being arrested, but they're innocent. Take me seriously. It doesn't
00:27:22.060 make any sense. Um, if you know, minor details like facts matter, I'll tell you what they're arrested
00:27:29.580 for. Uh, the N N Y P D has, uh, explained it. Here's N Y P D news on Twitter explaining they've
00:27:35.700 got, they put out a series of tweets says in regard to a video on social media that took place
00:27:39.720 at a second Avenue and 20, 25th street, a woman taken into custody in an unmarked van
00:27:44.580 was wanted for damaging police cameras during five separate criminal incidents in and around city hall.
00:27:50.720 Uh, the arresting officers were assaulted with rocks and bottles when officers from warrant squad
00:27:55.980 took the woman into custody in a gray N Y P D minivan this evening. They were assaulted with
00:28:00.980 rocks and bottles. The warrant squad used unmarked via vehicles to effectively locate wanted suspects,
00:28:06.780 uh, which, which makes a lot of sense. It makes sense to use them for that reason. They continue
00:28:11.520 when she was placing the warrant squad's unmarked gray minivan, it was behind a cordon cordon of,
00:28:16.340 uh, N Y P D bicycle cops in bright yellow and blue uniform shirts there to help affect the arrest.
00:28:22.000 Um, makes sense to me. Nonetheless, people like Chris Hayes, as you can see here say, this is
00:28:32.160 kidnapping. This is dot, dot, dot kidnapping. Very, very dramatic. No, Chris, this is not kidnapping.
00:28:41.940 This is making an arrest. That's what it looks like. Sorry to scandalize you, you hysterical child.
00:28:49.000 Oh, they're using unmarked vans. The vans are unmarked. So why does that matter? I say again,
00:28:58.600 there is nothing strange, new or scary about unmarked cop cars. Police have been using unmarked
00:29:04.520 cop cars for decades. They use them as was just explained because sometimes the cops don't want
00:29:09.160 criminals to know they're coming. This is not a scandal. This isn't anything. It's just normal
00:29:13.940 stuff. Very normal stuff. Um, now we have the, here's what Jerry Nadler, a giant potato
00:29:22.080 come to life. That's my theory anyway, on Jerry Nadler is what he has to say about this. He sent
00:29:27.060 out a tweet. This video of a protester in New York city being thrown in unmarked van is terrifying
00:29:32.180 and should be unacceptable to everyone who respects the constitutional rights. This country was founded
00:29:36.360 on, um, there must be an immediate explanation for this anonymous use of force. Anonymous, anonymous,
00:29:46.620 they have bright neon uniforms that say police on them. You potato. This is what we get for electing
00:29:54.820 potatoes to public office. I've always said we shouldn't, you know, we should stick with,
00:29:58.240 with, you know, non potatoes, at least Nadler says he's terrified, terrified of the concept of
00:30:06.460 police making lawful arrests and putting suspects into unmarked vehicles, which they've done millions
00:30:10.820 of times since the invention of the automobile. Did Nadler just start being terrified by this now,
00:30:17.600 or has he always been terrified of unmarked police cars? Why didn't he say anything earlier? He could
00:30:22.500 have got some medication or something. He's driving down the roads. He's an unmarked cop car at a,
00:30:26.380 you know, doing traffic stops. Does he break down in tears? Petrified? So just to review here,
00:30:33.900 it is not illegal for cops to use unmarked vehicles. They do it all the time. It makes sense to use them
00:30:39.700 because oftentimes criminals don't want to be arrested and will run away if you announce your
00:30:44.660 arrival. And in fact, despite claims to the contrary, it actually doesn't matter if criminals
00:30:50.800 don't want to be arrested. They can still be arrested even if they don't want to be. And it's
00:30:56.200 not kidnapping because police have arresting powers. And that's why everyone complaining
00:31:03.120 about this is canceled. And they're all potatoes, all of them. Potatoes are canceled too, just for
00:31:09.960 the record, just to cover all the bases. And we'll leave it there for today. Thanks for watching,
00:31:15.100 everybody. Thanks for listening. Have a great day. Godspeed.

00:31:57.840 Hey, everyone. It's Andrew Klavan, host of The Andrew Klavan Show. The Democrats don't like the
00:32:02.220 chief law officer of the country. And no wonder they're not just the party of the mob. They're
00:32:06.620 a party that acts like mobsters. We'll talk about that. And we have the mostly peaceful mailbag
00:32:11.540 spreading wisdom like an arson fire on The Andrew Klavan Show.
