The Matt Walsh Show - Ep. 593 - The Biden-Harris Ticket Goes Full Marxist

00:00:00.000 Today on the Matt Wall Show, the Biden team is making its closing pitch to voters, and the

00:00:03.900 closing pitch is, maybe not surprisingly, full-blown Marxism. Will it work? Will it backfire?

00:00:08.720 If it does work, what does that say about our country? Also, five headlines, including cities

00:00:12.460 bracing for leftist rioting after the election. If I was a leftist, I'd be pretty ashamed. Though,

00:00:18.900 if I was a leftist, I'd also be incapable of shame, I guess. And a special daily cancellation

00:00:23.480 today that you're not going to want to miss. All that on the way. First, though, a word from Rad

00:00:27.840 Power Bikes. You know, whether you want a new way to get around town or get out in nature, even if

00:00:32.900 you've got your kids in tow, you've got to try Rad Power Bikes. It's a great way to get outdoors

00:00:36.460 without getting all hot and sweaty. So it's a lot of fun. It's also just a practical way of getting

00:00:40.180 around, get to work. You know, you're not going to show up at the office dripping with sweat. Your

00:00:43.640 colleagues will, and co-workers will appreciate that. Fun and practicality. It's a great combination,

00:00:48.000 and you get that with this. A cross between a traditional bike and a moped, but it doesn't

00:00:51.820 require a special driver's license like a moped would. But that doesn't mean the thing is slow.

00:00:55.940 In fact, it goes up to 20 miles per hour without pedaling. Rad Power Bikes, very affordable

00:01:00.260 as well. Most e-bikes are in the range of like $3,000. These start out at just $999, and most

00:01:06.760 are under $1,500. So most of them are half of what you're going to pay for most e-bikes.

00:01:12.480 Great for commuting, getting out on the trail, hauling groceries, hauling kids, whatever it

00:01:16.360 is. Now for a limited time, Rad Power Bikes offers flexible financing for as low as 0% APR

00:01:21.320 plus free shipping. Bikes are going super fast, so make sure you order right away. Text BIKE

00:01:27.020 to 64,000 today and get free shipping. That's BIKE to 64,000. Text BIKE to 64,000.

00:01:35.140 All right, well, with only hours left before the election, the Biden-Harris ticket has decided

00:01:40.380 to go all in on Marxism. That's their closing pitch, their closing argument. The thing they

00:01:45.280 want voters thinking about as they head to the polls on Tuesday is this. Of course, Biden-Harris

00:01:50.000 has always been all in on Marxism, as has the whole Democrat Party for years now, but

00:01:55.040 what I'm going to play for you now is perhaps the most direct and explicit endorsement of

00:02:01.280 that ideology that we've heard from any major Democrat who's not named Bernie Sanders.

00:02:05.720 So here's the video put out by Kamala Harris on Sunday. Listen to this.

00:02:09.460 So there's a big difference between equality and equity. Equality suggests, oh, everyone should

00:02:15.120 get the same amount. The problem with that, not everybody's starting out from the same place.

00:02:20.800 So if we're all getting the same amount, but you started out back there and I started out over here,

00:02:25.760 we could get the same amount, but you're still going to be that far back behind me.

00:02:30.800 It's about giving people the resources and the support they need so that everyone can be on equal

00:02:38.400 footing and then compete on equal footing. Equitable treatment means we all end up at the same place.

00:02:57.680 Okay. A lot of problems here. I mean, let's start with the slightly less significant one, which is what

00:03:02.960 was up with the background noise here. Was that like running water? Sounded like a running water

00:03:07.680 sound effect, like a stream or something. Were we supposed to imagine Kamala sitting by a stream

00:03:15.040 on a mountain side, imparting these teachings to her disciples? Is that the vibe they were going for?

00:03:20.960 Because it doesn't quite work. She definitely doesn't have the soothing voice necessary to be a 1.00

00:03:26.120 mountaintop guru. In fact, the voice and the message would be much more at home in a gender studies class,

00:03:31.340 maybe a workplace tolerance and diversity seminar or something like that. Um, so that didn't really

00:03:37.260 work, but more to the point. Harris says that equality is giving people the same amount,

00:03:43.340 but that's not good enough. She says, because some people are starting out ahead. And so when they

00:03:47.740 get the same amount, they're going to still be ahead of those, uh, who, who started out behind them.

00:03:54.380 So what we need, she says is equity, which means we all start at the same place and end at the same

00:04:00.780 place. And I think that basically summarizes her argument fairly. I think now let's run through all

00:04:07.180 the reasons why this is a horrifying combination of stupid, incoherent, dishonest, and dangerous. 1.00

00:04:12.300 Number one, equality does not mean that we all get the same amount. That's not, that's not what 1.00

00:04:18.140 equality is legally or in any other sense. Equality under the law, which is the only kind of equality that

00:04:25.100 the government should be concerned with means that we're all subject to the same laws and that the

00:04:30.780 law does not explicitly give advantages or disadvantages to anybody, which means, for example,

00:04:37.180 affirmative action, those laws infringe on equality under the law. They are a direct assault on equality

00:04:43.420 under the law by design, but that's what equality under the law is supposed to mean. And that's what we

00:04:49.500 should have in this country, though we don't. Equality as it relates to human beings and societies

00:04:56.140 more generally, though, doesn't and cannot exist in any other form. Human beings are not in any

00:05:03.020 measurable or quantifiable sense actually equal. We should be treated equal under the law, but as far

00:05:09.740 as what and who we actually are, there's no equality there. Equality means sameness. I'm not the same as

00:05:16.140 anyone else on earth. I have a different personality, background, experience. I'm either going to be

00:05:21.260 dumber, smarter, more hardworking, less hardworking, more virtuous, less virtuous than the next guy. 0.99

00:05:26.700 None of us are equal. The type of equity Harris talks about assumes that we are all equal. We're all 0.99

00:05:33.020 the same. It doesn't account for any differences in personality, character, intelligence, priority,

00:05:38.540 virtue. It just assumes that we're all, at heart, exactly the same. And crucially, that we're all

00:05:44.940 trying to go to the same place. In her vision of the world, everybody wants to climb to the

00:05:49.580 same mountaintop, to the same elevation, and the same exact destination. She can't understand that

00:05:55.820 everyone has their own mountaintops, and not everyone is trying to get to the top, or people

00:06:00.940 have a different idea of what the top is for them. And this confusion comes up quite a bit, I think,

00:06:06.460 especially with discussions of the wage gap. The wage gap is mostly a myth, of course, but whatever wage

00:06:11.420 disparity does exist between genders, it's because women and men make different choices in their 1.00

00:06:17.420 careers. They have different priorities. Women, for example, are more likely to choose jobs that 1.00

00:06:22.540 give them more time at home. They're more likely to leave the workforce entirely to raise children.

00:06:27.900 Harris sees this as a problem of equity. What she can't understand is that lots of women 1.00

00:06:32.620 make that choice because that's the kind of life they want to live. That's their priority,

00:06:38.300 their vision, their desire, their mountaintop. It's not the same as everybody else. Number two,

00:06:44.620 what does she mean by get the same amount? Same amount of what? And who is giving it?

00:06:51.500 This isn't being pedantic here. It's a serious question. I honestly have no idea what this thing

00:06:56.700 is that we're all getting and who's giving it. What does she mean? Money? Skill? IQ points? What are we

00:07:01.980 talking about here? But of course, the vagueness is the point. Harris can just shout,

00:07:06.700 we should all get the same amount. And undiscerning listeners will cheer, yes,

00:07:10.940 sounds great, the same amount, without anybody stopping to ask, wait a second, same amount of what?

00:07:19.020 Number three, bringing us to the most terrifying part of the clip, I think, she says equitable

00:07:23.900 treatment means we all end up at the same place. This is what's known as equality of outcome.

00:07:31.100 Equality of opportunity is usually what politicians talk about, even though that phrase and that concept

00:07:35.900 is also vague and impossible to achieve or even to define. But that's one thing. Equality of outcome

00:07:42.300 is another thing entirely. Equality of opportunity in theory means that you clear the path and let

00:07:49.820 people walk as far down it as they want. Equality of outcome means you set booby traps on the path to

00:07:55.580 stop some people from walking too far down it. And then you take other people and you carry them further

00:08:00.460 along it so that at the end, we're all bunched up, some of us bruised and bleeding on the same spot,

00:08:06.700 on the same path. And who chooses what that spot should be? Who decides what our universal outcome

00:08:13.260 ought to be? Who decides where we should all end up? Well, the government, of course, Kamala Harris. 0.96

00:08:18.780 She'll be happy to decide. And as the decider, that means that she is not herself in the same place.

00:08:24.300 She's further along. She has power. So everyone else should end up in the same place, but not her. 0.89

00:08:31.500 She needs to be further along so that she can turn around and decide where the rest of us are allowed 0.96

00:08:36.060 to go, how far we're allowed to go. So this is full-blown Marxism. And to understand how disturbed

00:08:42.380 you should be by it, just imagine what would be required for the government to ensure that 330 million

00:08:49.260 people all end up in the same place. Well, you don't have to imagine. Look elsewhere in the world

00:08:55.500 and throughout history where this experiment has been tried. You will find tyranny and death. Because

00:09:00.300 tyranny and death, these are a necessary mechanism, a vehicle for what Kamala Harris is talking about. 0.97

00:09:07.820 You cannot create equality of outcome without removing self-determination, freedom, liberty,

00:09:12.620 creativity, everything else that makes humans human and life worth living. See, the thing is,

00:09:17.660 governments really cannot force people to be more successful than their desire, ambition,

00:09:23.420 and skill level will take them. Government cannot create equity through positive enforcement.

00:09:30.540 The only way it can do it is to do the one thing governments can do, which is punish, censor, stifle,

00:09:37.020 kill. Governments cannot force people to be successful. They can, though, steal the fruits of success

00:09:42.780 from the successful and chop them back down to size. This is within the logistical capabilities

00:09:48.620 of the government, even if it's not within its moral or constitutional limits. So that's what this

00:09:54.460 equity will mean. That's what it always means. Punishment and suppression. That's the future the

00:10:01.500 Democrats envision. Now voters have to decide if it's what they want as well. Let's get to our five headlines.

00:10:09.100 Well, you know, I can't recommend MyPillow enough. And, you know, we just moved, as you know, we moved

00:10:20.380 out here to Nashville and we're staying at a rental right now. We're looking for a house.

00:10:24.860 And, you know, we got a lot of stuff in storage. We had to decide. We had the moving truck packing up

00:10:30.060 most of our house, taking it to storage. And then there's certain items that we could bring with us in

00:10:34.620 our car as we made the 12 hour trip out here. And one thing that we, that we, my wife and I both

00:10:39.900 says, we need to make sure we bring the MyPillows. And we brought those. And so that's one little slice

00:10:43.900 of home that we have, you know, at the rental place. So, because I, here's the thing, when you

00:10:49.500 get a MyPillow or any of their products, but especially the pillow itself, once you've, once

00:10:55.260 you've used it, you, you can't, you need it. So everywhere you go, you have to bring it because

00:10:59.020 you, once you've, once you've slept on the MyPillow, it's like everything else. You see how,

00:11:04.860 uh, just how insufficient it really is. Mike Lindell is the inventor of MyPillow. Mike's

00:11:10.300 latest is on, latest deals on his Giza Dream Sheets, which are made from the world's best

00:11:15.500 cotton, uh, Giza cotton. They're ultra soft, breathable, extremely durable. This is another

00:11:21.020 necessity. It was easy to pack the sheets up in the car. Pillows are a little bit bulkier,

00:11:24.960 but we had to bring those right now. The Giza Dream Sheets are at, um, a two for one low price

00:11:29.600 plus free shipping, but you got to use a promo code daily wire. That should be easy to remember.

00:11:34.480 Uh, all the MyPillow products come with a 60 day money back guarantee. You've just got to try this

00:11:38.900 stuff. That's all. You know, you hear about MyPillow all the time. You just got to try it. Give it a

00:11:42.320 shot. I guarantee you it'll become a, an addiction that you need it in order to sleep. Just go to

00:11:47.220 MyPillow.com, click on the radio listeners square to check out the two for one low price on the Giza

00:11:53.000 Dream Sheets plus free shipping. There are also deep discounts on all other MyPillow products.

00:11:57.480 You got to go check that out too. Enter promo code daily wire or call 800-651-1148 for these great

00:12:04.380 radio specials. Again, that's MyPillow.com. All right. Number one, Wolf Blitzer of CNN posted this

00:12:09.880 video of shops in DC. You can see it here. Uh, I don't know if he took it or someone else did,

00:12:14.100 but shops in DC being boarded up in anticipation of unrest as the media will call it. Uh, mostly

00:12:20.800 peaceful unrest. I'm sure on election. It's, it's, it's strange how these mostly peaceful

00:12:25.660 protesters, you know, even though they're mostly peaceful, you still have to board up your windows

00:12:30.160 when they come by. We're strange how that works. I don't know. Um, and then Wolf Blitzer says,

00:12:35.040 I never thought I'd see so many buildings here in this nation in the nation's Capitol boarded up on

00:12:39.120 the eve of a presidential election in anticipation of possible unrest. And it's not just in DC. It's

00:12:44.080 happening in New York, Los Angeles, elsewhere around the country. So sad. I agree that it's sad,

00:12:50.180 Wolf, but you never thought you'd see it. Well, talk to your friends over at CNN and also yourself.

00:12:57.100 I mean, you know, it's, it's strange when you've got, it's weird how this works, right? When you've

00:13:01.040 already got, um, leftist radicals who are inclined to, towards rioting and violence, and then you go

00:13:08.880 and tell them that the president is literally Hitler and he's trying to abolish democracy. And if he's

00:13:14.740 reelected, it'll be the last election. We're all going to be living in handmaid's tale after this.

00:13:18.900 Um, and, and, uh, when you tell them people that who are already inclined to violence,

00:13:24.280 yeah, who, who could have predicted this result? Who could have possibly ever predicted it?

00:13:30.120 Right. Number two, I thought this was pretty big news here. Uh, a tweet from Joe Biden. He says,

00:13:34.780 I'm not going to shut down the country. I'm not going to shut down the economy.

00:13:39.000 I'm going to shut down the virus. That's what he claims, which is pretty amazing.

00:13:45.380 He's going to shut down the virus. It's that simple, that easy. From what I hear, there's a,

00:13:51.200 there's a big red button in the white house that's labeled shut down virus in all caps.

00:13:58.000 All you have to do is push it, shut down the virus. Really? Donald Trump has not thought to push it

00:14:03.620 or refuses to push it. I don't know. So we need Joe to get in there and say, Hey guys,

00:14:08.560 uh, why don't we just push to, why don't we just get rid of the virus? Have you guys thought about

00:14:12.220 doing that? No one thought of it? Well, Hey, just press the button. It's gone. Of course,

00:14:16.700 in reality though, uh, Biden will not shut down the virus, uh, because you can't just shut down a

00:14:21.720 virus. It's not how viruses work. He will do the opposite really of what he just said there.

00:14:26.100 So you can effectively shut down the economy and effectively shut down the country. You can do

00:14:31.200 that, which is what he will do. Should he be, um, reelected. Meanwhile, in more coronavirus news,

00:14:38.280 the governor of Michigan continues to find new ways to defile the constitution. She's very creative.

00:14:43.560 You got to give her that. Um, here's the latest. This is from Fox 17 in Michigan. Listen to their

00:14:47.920 report. The state now says in order to help with COVID contact tracing, starting Monday,

00:14:53.540 bars and restaurants will need to start collecting names and phone numbers of all patrons. But some

00:14:59.680 say it's just another way to single out the industry with no real proof that they are the

00:15:03.580 problem at a time when their capacity is already at 50%. Again, what's this data gathering? If the

00:15:10.180 data is not truthful or what it is, how do we know how good it is? Scott Ellis is the executive

00:15:14.400 director of the Michigan Licensed Beverage Association, a group that worked with the state

00:15:18.780 on the new guidelines. But he says that does not always mean the two sides agree. He also

00:15:23.520 adds it's not appropriate to pin COVID increases on restaurants and bars. Our frontline servers

00:15:29.400 have already had troubles now dealing with masks and mandating people wearing masks. We went through

00:15:34.400 all that. We did, you know, we did deescalation training and all kinds of other things to help

00:15:38.380 with that. Now we're taking it to a next level where we have to gather someone's personal

00:15:41.460 information. According to a new order put out Thursday, the state will require all restaurants

00:15:46.080 and bars that offer dine-in food service to maintain accurate records of names and phone numbers

00:15:51.020 of people who eat on site along with the date and time they walked in. We just told them,

00:15:55.900 look, get name, phone number, write it on a piece of paper because if the health department calls you

00:16:00.180 and says, hey, so-and-so came in on this, or someone came in on this date, I need the lift.

00:16:04.460 They have to provide it. If customers do not want to give that information,

00:16:07.700 they can be refused service. I know this is treated as a sort of an irrelevant detail these days,

00:16:12.940 but they don't have the authority to do this. Where is their authority to do this?

00:16:17.760 Where do they derive the authority to declare that if you want to go out to eat, you have to

00:16:22.280 give your contact information to the restaurant who will then pass it along to the government?

00:16:29.260 Where does the state government derive the authority to say, if you want to go out to eat

00:16:33.500 in our state, we have to know exactly who you are and we need your personal information?

00:16:38.220 Well, they don't, of course. But this is the health department. The health department in

00:16:41.820 Michigan has declared that they're going to do this now. And so what we've discovered over the

00:16:46.440 last six, seven months is that state health departments are governing bodies who have,

00:16:54.300 the scope of their power is limitless. They can, there is nowhere their power cannot touch.

00:17:02.560 We know the health department in California has already decided if you want to have people over to

00:17:07.720 your own house, your own family members to your own house, they could tell you how many

00:17:11.820 family members, they could tell you, uh, where on your house, where on your property, you can meet

00:17:16.340 them for how long you can meet, what you're allowed to do when you're with them, how close you can get

00:17:22.520 to them all on your own property. And this is the state health department, just unelected bureaucrats

00:17:28.700 in the state health department, simply declaring, this is what it's going to be now. Number three,

00:17:33.800 an article on study finds.org says, as if the coronavirus pandemic wasn't giving Americans enough

00:17:39.600 anxiety already, you may have heard there's a presidential election this November with political

00:17:44.120 divisions reaching historic highs. A survey finds a majority of the country believe their most

00:17:47.820 stressful day of 2020 hasn't even arrived yet. The poll examining mental health reveals 55% of

00:17:53.640 Americans think election day 2020 will be the most stress-filled day of their lives. The one poll survey

00:18:01.180 examined the current mental health of 2000 adults focusing on the stress caused by COVID-19. Nearly six

00:18:06.760 to 10 people can't imagine being more stressed than they already are this year, while 67% want the

00:18:12.180 year to be over now. My God, stop whining, you babies. First of all, I just want the year to be over now.

00:18:22.340 Um, second, this, this dovetails nicely with what we've discussed on the show on Friday. Uh, people

00:18:28.920 acting like their very lives depend on the outcome of a presidential election, like certain doom or utopia

00:18:35.440 awaits, depending on which dude is in the white house for the next four years. Uh, and as I, as I

00:18:40.540 said, of course, elections are very important. We've been talking, I talk about that all the time on the

00:18:44.340 show. Very important. Um, but I will just say if, if the most stressful day of your life

00:18:51.920 is a presidential election, what that tells me is that you have lived one hell of an easy and probably

00:18:59.460 pretty boring life. I mean, the average human existence, there should be things happening in

00:19:05.500 your own life that create a hell of a lot more stress than a presidential election does.

00:19:12.160 I mean, I'll give you one example, because I don't think for me, this would even make the top 100

00:19:16.980 because for example, uh, every time I go out to eat at a restaurant with four kids, that's more

00:19:24.160 stressful than Tuesday is going to be that alone. Every single one of those, that, that all

00:19:28.400 is going to be above the presidential election on the scale of stress. Uh, number four, Ilhan Omar

00:19:33.960 was doing a town hall with Mazie Hirono. So you expect stupidity, of course, you expect the stupidity 1.00

00:19:39.240 level to be turned up to about a hundred. And in this case, your expectations would be met and 1.00

00:19:44.160 exceeded. Here's what Ilhan Omar had to say. So of our three branches, um, the, the, the judiciary

00:19:52.900 or in the Supreme court has one of the lowest approval ratings with, um, the, the United States

00:20:01.180 electorate. And I think it's like a 10% approval rating. Um, and I wonder, um, what this process

00:20:14.780 does to, um, um, a system that we need to function and to have legitimacy, um, that is now going to

00:20:26.740 have someone be part of it. Who's not seen as a legitimate appointee. Um, certainly with the way

00:20:35.360 that the process went with, with, you know, the vote being so partisan, um, what, what does it mean,

00:20:43.460 uh, for, you know, the, the future history of the court. Let me just jump in here, Ilhan, and answer

00:20:49.820 that question for you. Number one, the phrase future history of the court doesn't make sense.

00:20:56.820 Just to note. Number two, um, the process was not at all illegitimate. It was completely legitimate,

00:21:02.980 completely legal, completely normal. And you know that of course, which is why you can't explain

00:21:10.140 why it was illegitimate. You just feel like it was number three. Uh, yes, the vote was partisan because

00:21:17.540 every Democrat announced their decision ahead of time before the hearings even started to, to vote

00:21:25.680 against, uh, the nominee, which is the same thing they did with Kavanaugh, the same thing they did with

00:21:30.200 Gorsuch. So yes, it was a partisan vote for the Supreme court. Imagine that first one in history,

00:21:35.620 right? Um, what else? Number four, the approval rating of the Supreme court is not 10%. So you just

00:21:42.320 made that up. It's actually 58%. Congress, which is your branch of government is the least popular,

00:21:48.540 uh, uh, branch of government. And that approval rating, I think is at about 18%. It's less than 20

00:21:54.480 and a lot less than Supreme court approval rating. Number five though, the approval rating of the

00:21:59.360 Supreme court doesn't matter anyway. I don't care if it's 2%. 0.99

00:22:02.540 The, the, the opinions of the American public shouldn't factor in the Supreme court's decisions

00:22:12.000 at all. If 100% of people in America decided that, um, they wanted a certain decision to go a certain

00:22:21.060 way. That should have zero impact on what the Supreme court actually does. The only thing that 1.00

00:22:26.460 should matter to the Supreme court is what the constitution says. That's it because that's their

00:22:31.040 whole job to interpret the constitution. Number five, and the McRib is back nationwide for the first

00:22:38.200 time since 2012, uh, starting December 2nd, it'll be on McDonald's menus across the country.

00:22:44.640 Nobody can figure out why exactly though. Nobody can explain to me why the McRib may well be the

00:22:50.260 greatest fraud ever perpetrated on the American public. It might be, it is literal dog food that

00:22:58.500 people will wait in line to eat. In fact, it's worse than that. At least dog food is real neat

00:23:05.060 and it has some kind of nutritional value. Like you could, here's my tip to you. This is all I'll say

00:23:10.480 when it, when the McRib comes back on December 2nd and you think, Oh, I want to go get a McRib 1.00

00:23:14.640 because you're a, you're psychotic. Uh, and you get there and there's a one hour long line at the 0.97

00:23:19.020 drive-thru. What I would recommend is, uh, leave McDonald's, just swing by the, your local PetSmart

00:23:25.200 and grab any dog food off the shelf, smother it in, you know, store-bought barbecue sauce. And there

00:23:31.900 you go. There's the McRib sandwich. Um, and like I said, even, even better for you, more nutritional

00:23:37.780 value, I would say. All right. So the McRib sandwiches of course canceled, but let's get to

00:23:42.380 the real daily cancellation now. Today for our daily cancellation, we have another exciting double

00:23:47.240 cancellation. I'll be canceling two different people for seemingly unrelated offenses, but I have

00:23:51.420 to cancel them both today because these cancellations are related to the elections. I have

00:23:54.760 to, I'd have to get them in now while I still can. So I'm doubling up. Um, first up on the docket is

00:23:59.500 Lady Gaga. I'm not entirely sure what she was trying to do here, but I think the goal was to appeal to

00:24:05.760 normal working class Americans and encourage them to vote for Biden. But her impression of normal

00:24:11.140 working class Americans needs a lot of work. Watch. 1.00

00:24:18.660 Hey, this is Lady Gaga. I'm voting for America, which means I'm voting for Joe Biden. And if you

00:24:27.960 live in Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan, Florida, or Arizona, I encourage you to vote. And if

00:24:36.320 you have a friend that lives there, tell them to vote. I'm going to be in one of these states

00:24:41.160 tomorrow. Guess which one I'll be in. Hint. I used to live there.

00:24:50.560 Cheers to the 2020 election.

00:24:53.200 Wow. Okay. First of all, this woman was nominated for an Oscar for best actress. Keep in mind. Yet

00:25:01.340 that's how she performs the role of normal human. It is not convincing to say the least. She's 1.00

00:25:07.780 leaning on a pickup truck, wearing some kind of camo Halloween costume with what appear to be ski

00:25:13.440 boots. And all of that would be bad enough. The cringe level was already turned up almost to the

00:25:18.500 max. But then at the end there, she takes one sip of her beer, tosses it on the ground and says,

00:25:24.640 cheers. That is not, no, that's not what people do, Lady Gaga. Take it from somebody who lived in

00:25:33.720 rural Pennsylvania until a week ago. Okay. If you go to like a barbecue or a party in Pennsylvania

00:25:39.520 and somebody hands you a cold one and you take one sip and throw it on the ground and say, cheers,

00:25:46.080 you may get a number of different reactions, but none of them will be, wow, this woman is just like us.

00:25:51.480 So relatable. Probably the reaction would just be, wait, why, why did you do that? If you didn't

00:25:58.360 want a beer, you could have just told me. I mean, who are you? Stone Cold Steve Austin? What the hell?

00:26:03.120 And then you would never be invited to another barbecue again. That's probably how that would go.

00:26:07.620 Now I'm wondering if maybe Lady Gaga always does this when, when someone offers a toast, 1.00

00:26:15.200 maybe she thinks that's what a toast is. That's what you're supposed to do when people say cheers.

00:26:19.200 She's at an anniversary party or something. And someone says, let's offer a toast to the happy

00:26:22.900 couple. And Lady Gaga just picks up her glass of champagne and chucks it across the room. I don't

00:26:27.560 know, but this is further proof of proof of two things. Number one, the people who make art and

00:26:32.700 entertainment for us in this country, make art and entertainment for the masses have no idea who the

00:26:39.120 masses actually are, what they like and how they act. And that's obvious just based on the content they 0.99

00:26:45.380 put out. We don't even need this video for that. Number two, this is the danger of being a rich

00:26:49.740 person surrounded by yes men. You know, apparently nobody in Lady Gaga's orbit had the gumption to 1.00

00:26:54.920 stand up and say, uh, Ms. Gaga, I, I wouldn't put this video out. It is, um, the thing is it's the

00:27:00.540 dumbest thing anyone's ever done and everyone will laugh at you. So don't do this. Unless alternatively, 0.95

00:27:07.180 maybe there's some noble hero in Lady Gaga's inner circle who likes to mess with her by putting these

00:27:12.900 ideas in her head. Like, Hey, you know what normal, normal folks do? They throw their beer on the

00:27:16.840 ground. You should totally do a video like that. They'll love it. Put it out there. I imagine this

00:27:21.340 person, if they exist, was also responsible for Lady Gaga wearing a giant slab of beef to the VMAs a

00:27:27.660 few years ago. So this person I've just invented is pretty awesome. They're not canceled. Lady Gaga is

00:27:34.060 now onto the next one. I haven't in, in recent days, um, canceled both dancing and I voted selfies.

00:27:43.700 I've made the rules very clear. You may not dance. You may not take photos of yourself with your I

00:27:49.000 voted sticker. Very simple. I don't see why these rules would be difficult to follow. And yet time

00:27:54.280 and again, I find that the world somehow does not stop doing things when I tell it to. This fact

00:28:00.320 causes me great distress, especially when it's one of my own colleagues defying me in this way.

00:28:06.620 And that's why Michael Knowles is canceled because of this.

00:28:12.900 Yes, there he is dancing while he casts his ballot with an I voted sticker, unconscionable behavior.

00:28:35.020 The only thing that would have made that worse if he had his like a dog named emoji with him.

00:28:41.240 You know, here's the thing. I, I have not really worked closely in person with other people in

00:28:47.600 years. I've been deep down in my layer, like Joe, Joe Biden closed off from the world. People ask me

00:28:53.120 what it will be like now that I moved to Nashville and I'm going to be working in an office with other

00:28:57.480 people. And the answer is that it'll be fine. Just as long as nobody ever does anything that I don't

00:29:02.820 want them to do. I'm very good at working with people. I think I'm a very relatable and likable

00:29:07.380 guy. Uh, you know, I, I'm easy to get along with provided that everything goes my way 100% of the

00:29:13.260 time and everybody follows every arbitrary rule I happen to concoct in my head. So in that way,

00:29:19.180 I'm not much different from any other millennial, I guess, but this behavior from Knowles makes me

00:29:25.300 concerned that I have emerged from my layer into a world that will not necessarily bend itself to my

00:29:31.260 wind. The shock of that discovery for me is gut wrenching. So Knowles is canceled and anyone else

00:29:39.400 who should fail to follow the commandments as I set them down is also canceled. And if I have to just

00:29:46.420 keep canceling the same people over and over again, if that's what I have to do, then that's what is

00:29:50.740 going to happen. That's going to do it for us today. Um, voting tomorrow, make sure you go and do that

00:29:59.020 if you're informed. And as long as you're not dancing along the way, I'll talk to you then. Godspeed.
