00:00:00.000 Today on the Matt Wall Show, the left-wing media is hunting down and combating misinformation,
00:00:04.680 quote-unquote, about the election. The only problem is that much of what they call
00:00:07.220 misinformation is actually completely true. Small little detail there. Plus, five headlines,
00:00:12.320 including the CDC's new Thanksgiving guidelines, which I will be sure personally to completely
00:00:17.060 ignore, and I would urge you to do the same. And in our daily cancellation, I will have to cancel
00:00:20.580 the AP, I think again, the second time, for coming up with a whole new set of words that are
00:00:25.480 now offensive, according to them. All of that on the way. But first, quick message from our good
00:00:32.220 friends over at Lightstream. You know, most people have a balance on their credit cards with a high
00:00:38.120 interest rate, and it's much higher than they would prefer. It's much higher than they have to be
00:00:42.300 paying. You can refinance your high interest credit card balance and save with a credit card
00:00:46.660 consolidation loan from Lightstream. The rates here start at 5.95% APR with auto pay, and if you have
00:00:53.080 excellent credit, the rate is fixed, so you know that you've got that confidence and that peace of
00:00:58.100 mind to know that it's not going to go up over the life of the loan. Plus, there are no additional
00:01:02.080 fees you have to worry about. You can get a loan from, if you want $5,000 up to $100,000. You can
00:01:07.420 even get your money as soon as the day you apply. You know, I've seen with many people how they have
00:01:13.060 debt. We all have debt. For some people, it prevents them from moving on with their lives, moving forward in
00:01:19.540 their careers, you know, having that financial stability that they should have. And that's why
00:01:24.640 my listeners can save even more with an additional interest rate discount. The only way to get this
00:01:28.940 discount is to go to lightstream.com slash Walsh. That's L-I-G-H-T-S-T-R-E-A-M.com slash Walsh.
00:01:39.060 Subject to credit approval, rates range from 5.95% to 19.99% APR and include 0.5% auto pay discount.
00:01:46.200 Lowest rate requires excellent credit. Terms and conditions apply and offers are subject to
00:01:50.080 change without notice. Visit lightstream.com slash Walsh for more information. You know,
00:01:55.500 we've heard quite a lot over the last four years about quote unquote misinformation. And now as Trump
00:02:02.420 challenges the ostensible results of the election, this campaign by the media to combat what they call
00:02:08.980 misinformation has gone into overdrive. Everywhere they look now, they're finding this misinformation.
00:02:14.220 Some of the headlines just over the last few hours, uh, quote, the misinformation media machine
00:02:19.720 amplifying Trump's election lies. Election misinformation continues staying up on YouTube.
00:02:25.240 Misinformation channels claim Biden is no longer president elect. That's not true.
00:02:30.440 Internet sleuths use misinformation in an attempt to prove dead people voted in Michigan
00:02:35.140 and on and on. Now you'll notice of course that the word misinformation is only ever used to apply
00:02:41.100 to conservatives and conservative outlets. And I don't think I'm exaggerating here. I'm not aware
00:02:45.240 of a single case ever of the mainstream media labeling a leftist claim as misinformation.
00:02:51.660 And that's not because leftists never engage in it. We'll have more on that in just a minute.
00:02:55.940 Kevin Roos of the New York times is on the misinformation beat. He tweeted this out, uh,
00:03:01.380 yesterday. He said, Facebook is absolutely teaming with right-wing misinformation right now.
00:03:05.660 These are all among the 10 most engaged URLs on the platform over the last 24 hours.
00:03:11.360 Then he provides screenshots of four misinformation articles. One of them written full disclosure by
00:03:16.800 the daily wire. The headlines are, these are the headlines. These are the misinformation headlines.
00:03:20.800 Okay. Listen to these Republican in Michigan goes from loser to winner after technical glitch fixed.
00:03:27.500 Officials urge confidence in system. Michigan legislature holds rare emergency session to
00:03:32.940 investigate irregularities. Attorney General William Barr authorizes DOJ to look into voting irregularities
00:03:38.980 and Perdue Loeffler call on Georgia Secretary of State to resign over election. Those are the
00:03:44.700 misinformation headlines. The problem with calling them misinformation, of course, is that
00:03:48.920 they all happen to be true. The misinformation here is in labeling them misinformation.
00:03:55.700 Now, after a bunch of people pointed this out, Roos followed it up with this. He said,
00:03:59.280 for the conservatives who are mad about this, yes, it is possible for a story to be factually accurate
00:04:04.780 and for it to be part of a misinformation campaign aimed at undermining confidence in the election.
00:04:11.560 Okay. So do you understand that? A story can be factually accurate and also be misinformation.
00:04:18.760 Factually accurate misinformation. That's what we're dealing with now. Then he starts scrambling to
00:04:23.960 make his position seem coherent because of course it's totally incoherent. Finally, he settles on this.
00:04:28.780 He says, we need a better word than misinformation to distinguish between totally false stories and
00:04:33.420 true stories that are published in service of an attempt to mislead people. But nobody who studies
00:04:39.140 this stuff is confused by what's happening. Okay. True stories that are published in the service of an
00:04:45.560 attempt to mislead people. Do you mean like, I don't know, this segment that aired on ABC News
00:04:51.280 suggesting that the defense secretary getting fired might mean that Trump is on the verge of
00:04:55.460 staging a military coup? Listen to this. Well, Martha, you've covered Washington,
00:05:00.960 you've covered the Pentagon for years. Have you ever seen an interim period like this? A defense
00:05:05.120 secretary out, three more top Pentagon officials tonight. And if this is unsettling for folks at
00:05:09.960 home, what do your sources tell you tonight? Is there any concern that this could put national
00:05:13.540 security at risk? You know, David, no one has seen anything like this. There is concern about what
00:05:19.340 this means. Is the president planning a military operation or the use of federal troops, which
00:05:24.980 Esper opposed? Even Mitch McConnell praised Esper today. And Republican John Cornyn, a member of the
00:05:31.900 Senate GOP leadership, said of Trump's decision to fire Esper. I don't think it helps him and I don't
00:05:39.500 think it helps the country. Now, the insinuation that Trump is about to declare himself military
00:05:44.080 dictator of the country seems an awful lot to me like misinformation. And so does this from Bloomberg
00:05:51.920 published yesterday. It says, for perhaps the first time in American history, a coordinated effort
00:05:57.100 to taint or overturn a presidential election may be underway. Yes, Bloomberg has pulled out the flashy
00:06:04.400 thing from Men in Black, and they're attempting now to wipe out our memory of the last four years.
00:06:09.520 So has CNN. Here's a segment they aired just this morning.
00:06:12.420 When it comes to claims about mass voter fraud, let's be clear. Trump supporters, you're being lied
00:06:19.280 to. Donald Trump has a history of lying loudly, turning baseless accusations into play to the base
00:06:25.660 articles of faith. Now, the goal is often to create a fake scandal to distract from a real one. But when
00:06:31.520 the accusation is actually investigated by Republicans in Congress or the Trump Justice Department,
00:06:37.460 it comes up empty because there was never anything there. Okay, fake scandals that fall apart upon
00:06:45.220 further investigation. I can think of quite a few of those personally, such as, for example,
00:06:52.060 pretty much every single Trump scandal over the last four years. But the media will never call
00:06:57.680 their own misinformation misinformation. That's never going to happen. So what do they really mean
00:07:03.300 when they use the term? Well, I think that Kevin Roos made it clear, being for a moment
00:07:08.040 more honest than he meant to be. To the media and also to the big tech companies like Facebook and
00:07:14.880 Twitter, a fact can still be misinformation, even if it's a fact, it can still be misinformation if
00:07:21.620 it's inconvenient or offensive to some favored group of people anyway. Or if it might lead people
00:07:27.940 to a conclusion at which our overlords and truth ministers do not want us to arrive. And often,
00:07:35.600 the forbidden conclusion is the right conclusion. But even if it isn't, I mean, even if some set of
00:07:40.240 true facts may really be interpreted by some group of people in the wrong way, set them down the wrong
00:07:46.280 path, that's no excuse to censor the facts or to mislabel them as false when they aren't.
00:07:52.000 People don't need to be protected in this way. An important part of being an adult and an American
00:07:58.160 in a free country in the information age is to pursue facts and form conclusions using your own
00:08:03.820 discernment. We don't need daddy CNN or mommy Facebook to hold our hands and guide us this way
00:08:09.460 or that. Besides, if you want to talk about cherry-picked facts, half-truths, out-of-context tidbits
00:08:16.180 being used in service of an attempt to mislead, as the New York Times says, I can think of no
00:08:22.580 better example of that in modern times than what we've witnessed over the past five or six months
00:08:26.740 in cities across the country. Police shootings caught on tape, posted online without context,
00:08:32.260 or with dishonestly framed context, and spread by the media in order to convince people that racist
00:08:38.200 cops are prowling the streets, murdering innocent minorities at will. Now, there is an example of how a
00:08:44.600 reality, the reality that so-and-so was shot by the cops, can be presented in such a way as to cause
00:08:50.860 people to form conclusions that are wildly off-base and dangerous and destructive. But even
00:08:57.680 then, I wouldn't be in favor of censorship to solve the problem. Instead, people who know the truth
00:09:04.740 have to stand up, speak it, and battle the lies head-on. That's the only way to deal with it.
00:09:10.020 The left relies on forms of censorship. And by the way, a major media outlet baselessly labeling a
00:09:16.400 truthful thing as misinformation is a form of censorship. Let's be clear about that, especially
00:09:21.900 because they know that big tech's going to take that and run with it. But they rely on these strategies
00:09:25.680 because they don't have the truth on their side. They cannot meet you out on the battlefield of ideas
00:09:30.960 and present their side that way. They can only shout you down, shut you down, shut you up, label you,
00:09:37.660 maybe throw a Molotov cocktail through your window for good measure. These are the weapons of liars and
00:09:43.020 con artists. These are their tactics. And we should be sure not to fall for it. Let's get to our five
00:09:51.680 headlines. You know, I could tell you with everything going on right now, homeschool has never seen more
00:10:02.260 appealing to people than it does at the moment. And that's and that's true. If you look at the statistics, people
00:10:06.860 are flocking to homeschool. And we've been a homeschool family ever since our kids were school aged. And here's
00:10:13.720 what I can tell you. Parents, if you homeschool or if you want to homeschool, you're thinking about it. I know it can be
00:10:19.020 kind of overwhelming just to just to consider all the work and responsibilities that are gonna be on
00:10:23.000 your shoulders. You got your kids entire education, right? That seems like it's up to you. And for the
00:10:27.580 parents with kids in school, if you've avoided the need to pull your student out of the public school
00:10:32.200 system, because it just seems too daunting to homeschool them yourself, which I know there are a lot of
00:10:36.680 parents in that category. I talk to them all the time. Well, no matter matter your situation, homeschool
00:10:41.660 magnet is for a parent just like you, I guarantee it. Homeschool magnet supports homeschooling families by
00:10:47.000 providing students with instruction from world class credential teachers in a remote classroom
00:10:51.660 with their peers. Now, parents can choose the best teachers for each student based on the values and
00:10:57.380 teaching approach to ensure that every child is receiving exactly the education that they desire.
00:11:01.340 That's what I like about homeschool magnet is that it's putting the power into your hands as a
00:11:05.040 parent. That's what homeschooling is supposed to all be about, right? This puts you as the parent in
00:11:08.860 full control of your child's education without the daily responsibilities of lesson planning,
00:11:13.200 pre-learning, teaching, tutoring, grading, and all of that kind of stuff. Each student will receive
00:11:18.520 instruction in the four core subject areas of math, English language, science, and social studies.
00:11:27.280 You know, other online schools exist, but homeschool magnet is unique because even though homeschool
00:11:32.020 magnet includes a robust online learning environment, each student works from real physical learning
00:11:37.000 materials guided by video instruction from their teachers. This approach is similar to most remote
00:11:42.660 college learning formats and will help prepare students for secondary school. Every student
00:11:47.700 has daily access to their teachers who know their learning needs and can help with instruction and
00:11:51.740 tutoring. Homeschool magnet even gives your students the opportunity to join group video
00:11:56.260 tutoring calls, homeroom style group video calls for fun and socialization. So you're getting all of that
00:12:02.940 with homeschool magnet. Homeschool magnet is only a fraction of the cost of private schools and the 30-day
00:12:08.500 money-back guarantee upon enrollment means this choice is risk-free. Plus, enrollment and tuition are on a per-semester basis,
00:12:15.540 so you're only committing for a short period of time, giving you even more flexibility and control to shape your
00:12:21.460 child's education. And this is this is what it's all about. It's all about giving you control over your child's education.
00:12:26.580 So to learn more about homeschool magnet student experience, go to homeschoolmagnet.com and join the growing wait list.
00:12:33.620 And if you're an interested teacher who wants to have more freedom in your teaching career, homeschool magnet may be perfect for you as well.
00:12:39.540 All right. Well, the CDC has released its Thanksgiving guidelines. I will be disregarding all of their Thanksgiving
00:12:54.660 guidelines just as I've disregarded everything else they've said. But just for fun, here they are from Fox 5 NY.
00:13:01.800 Here are the guidelines. I'll read a few of these to you in case in case you're wondering, in case you in case you want to get
00:13:08.500 the CDC's approval, like you're planning your Thanksgiving dinner and celebration and you're thinking, what does the CDC think
00:13:15.520 about this? Here's what they say. Limiting the number of attendees as much as possible and allowing people from home from different
00:13:21.980 households to social distance at all at all times is also encouraged. Hosting the gathering outdoors rather than indoors as much as
00:13:29.320 possible and requiring guests to wear masks when they aren't eating or drinking is also encouraged. If you're hosting an indoor
00:13:35.820 gathering, the CDC says to increase ventilation as much as possible by opening windows and doors. Thanks for that
00:13:41.680 recommendation, CDC. I never would have thought to open my windows if it's a little stuffy inside. I needed the CDC to tell me that.
00:13:47.820 When it comes to food and drinks, the CDC says hosts should encourage guests to bring food for themselves and members of
00:13:52.580 their household and to avoid potluck-style gatherings. Okay, so you're all bringing your own
00:13:59.300 meal and you're just sitting down with glass partitions with masks on. Lift the mask up, stuff
00:14:10.180 the turkey wing in. If you're preparing or serving food for guests that don't live in your household, you should
00:14:15.680 wear a mask. Guests are encouraged to have a plan for storing their mask while eating and drinking. As always,
00:14:21.820 everyone is asked to wash their hands with soap and water for 20 seconds. Again, I needed the CDC to tell me
00:14:28.500 that. I would never have thought to wash my hands with soap and water. Usually, I use ginger oil to
00:14:36.960 wash my hands. And so every time I see this reminder from the CDC, use soap and water, I think, oh yeah,
00:14:42.920 I forgot. The second iteration of CDC Thanksgiving guidance also includes recommendations for safe
00:14:47.740 travel and overnight stays and blah, blah, blah, on and on. Yeah, this is something I just will not be
00:14:56.620 paying attention to whatsoever. And yet again, this is the CDC. Now, at least it's the CDC here. It's a lot worse
00:15:09.080 than like in a place like California, where you've got the health department taking all of these guidelines
00:15:14.620 and actually making it a matter of law. Even though, of course, the Department of Health doesn't have the
00:15:20.460 authority to just create laws, but they're trying to do it and they're trying to use the force of law
00:15:26.060 to force you to do it. So at least with the CDC, it's just a guideline, which we don't have to listen
00:15:31.100 to. And I won't. You know, this is one of the worst things to come of the COVID hysteria is just
00:15:39.980 the paranoia and suspicion that we're supposed to have, even towards our own families.
00:15:46.360 Like if your, if your aunt comes to your Thanksgiving and she brought her green bean casserole,
00:15:54.160 you know, you don't want to eat that. It might be infected with COVID. Number two,
00:15:58.340 this from the Daily Wire says, the fallout from this summer's riots, which saw businesses large
00:16:04.760 and small looted and burned to the ground continues to be seen as a new report from the New York Times
00:16:08.660 shines a light on the insurance woes faced by those whose livelihoods were destroyed in the name of
00:16:12.920 racial justice. Um, it says the outlet reported while large chains like Walmart and Best Buy have
00:16:19.740 excellent insurance, many small businesses that have been burned down since the riots lack similar
00:16:23.980 coverage. And for them, there is no easy way to replace all that they lost in Kenosha. More than
00:16:28.980 35 small businesses were completely destroyed and around 80 have been damaged. According to the city's
00:16:33.860 business association, almost all are locally owned and many are underinsured or struggling to manage
00:16:38.420 now. And the report goes on with the Daily Wire. You can read it there, but I wanted to highlight
00:16:44.800 that because this is something you heard from the rioters and from BLM. The, the excuse they gave
00:16:51.600 is that, uh, including that clip we played a few times of the BLM activists. I think she was in Chicago
00:16:57.340 saying that looting is a form of reparations and encouraging people to do it and saying,
00:17:02.600 oh, the businesses all have insurance. So you just take what you want.
00:17:04.940 Now, these are people who don't understand how insurance works. It's not just you, you have
00:17:10.160 insurance. You can, you can take whatever you want and magically like you, you could burn down
00:17:14.900 their business. And because you have insurance, it will magically regenerate on its own. Like the
00:17:21.880 Wolverine and X-Men or something as regeneration power suggests you steal whatever you want. You can
00:17:26.160 steal the TV and then the TV will, will, will rematerialize in its place. Um, that seems to be what
00:17:31.680 they think, but that's not how insurance works. And also, as it turns out, of course, a lot of
00:17:36.040 these businesses, um, don't have insurance or underinsured. And even, even if they, even if they
00:17:44.180 do have insurance that can cover all of it, of course, just, this should go without saying that
00:17:48.140 doesn't mean you can just go and take whatever you want. Like if, if I'm, if I'm sure that you have
00:17:56.440 really great car insurance, that doesn't mean I can just ram into you on the highway and say,
00:18:01.900 well, you got car insurance. What are you, what are you whining about? You got car insurance.
00:18:06.600 Number three, this is a tough time for the media because they can't quite decide if, if now, you
00:18:10.740 know, now that they've declared Biden the winner, they can't quite decide if they should just pretend
00:18:15.220 that COVID has gone away and been cured, or if they should double down on the fear porn in hopes
00:18:21.140 that Biden will put us into a full lockdown again, mask mandates and everything else. So
00:18:26.920 they're kind of trying to walk this high wire act of propaganda where they're, they're, they're sort
00:18:31.260 of doing both. And I feel for them because it's gotta be difficult to figure out exactly how you want
00:18:37.840 to lie to people. But on the fear porn side of things, um, there's this article from Reuters headline
00:18:45.240 is very scary headline. Listen to the headline. One in five COVID-19 patients develop mental illness
00:18:52.700 within 90 days. Okay. Now this makes it sound like COVID is causing some kind of neurological damage,
00:19:01.660 making people go insane or something when they have COVID-19 that that's what it sounds like when
00:19:06.560 you see that headline. And if you saw that headline, you didn't click on it. You would just absorb that
00:19:11.100 impression, that half-baked vague impression and bring it with you throughout your, your day. And
00:19:17.860 that's, that's what you're supposed to do. That's the point. But then you click on it and here's what
00:19:22.780 it says. Many COVID-19 survivors are likely to be at a greater risk of developing mental illness.
00:19:27.360 According to psychiatrists, after a large study found 20% of those infected with the coronavirus
00:19:31.360 are diagnosed with a psychiatric disorder within 90 days. What are the disorders though? Anxiety,
00:19:38.740 depression, and insomnia were the most common, uh, reported among recovered COVID-19 patients in
00:19:45.320 the study. Anxiety, depression, and insomnia. Okay. So people with coronavirus, a disease that the
00:19:54.720 media says will kill them, a disease that we're told, you know, we had to shut down the country for,
00:20:00.760 um, when they have it, they feel anxious and depressed. Wow. Amazing. Huge news. Amazing. Put
00:20:11.320 this in a headline. You got it. It's incredible stuff. I can't believe that people who get sick
00:20:16.080 with a virus that even Donald Trump calls the plague, which by the way, I really wish you would
00:20:21.680 stop doing that. But it's crazy that the people with that virus would have anxiety about it.
00:20:26.600 Totally unexpected. Hey, you know, I wonder what kind of mental illness have the lockdowns caused
00:20:33.900 and the media coverage. I bet there's a lot of anxiety and depression out there from people who
00:20:39.000 never even got sick. Now, this is ridiculous, but then, you know, I, I must admit, I say all this,
00:20:48.340 um, admittedly as someone who holds an extremely heterodox view about anxiety and depression.
00:20:53.660 Um, I don't really agree that either of those things are mental illnesses to begin with.
00:20:59.860 Like I said, I know it's heretical these days. You're not allowed to say this.
00:21:03.760 Um, I, I actually think that anxiety in particular is a completely normal, though not enjoyable
00:21:11.420 aspect of the human experience. Um, even a defining aspect of the human experience. Part of what makes
00:21:17.580 us human is that we can contemplate our own existence and feel despair or feel worried about
00:21:24.680 it, feel anxious, which doesn't mean that despair and anxiety are good or should be welcomed, but it
00:21:31.300 does mean that it's not a disease. It's not a disorder. It's not a medical issue. And this is a
00:21:36.120 perfect example of why. Oh, they have, they have depression and anxiety. There's a very,
00:21:41.500 a very discernible reason for that. So to call it a mental illness is absurd. It's just,
00:21:47.840 you're reacting in a pretty normal way to your environment. Now, I think there are a lot of
00:21:54.000 people that have way too much anxiety about the coronavirus because of all the fear porn that
00:21:57.580 the media puts out, but still it's a, it's a normal and predictable reaction to your environment.
00:22:02.780 And in general, even, even without, even without coronavirus, the fact is that there's, there's a
00:22:10.860 lot in the world that could make someone feel despair, make them feel anxious, make them feel
00:22:15.720 anxiety. Again, not saying you should feel it, not saying if you do feel it, you should just embrace
00:22:20.220 it and live with it. Um, but it's, it's not, it's not disordered. It's not diseased. But of course,
00:22:27.220 what the, what the pharmaceutical industry has done is they've just decided they've, they've taken
00:22:31.180 these normal aspects of the human experience and they've drawn completely arbitrary lines and said,
00:22:39.660 um, you know, it's okay to feel this much despair. Like here's the despair line and you can feel
00:22:44.900 despair up to that line. But if you feel it over that line, now it's a disease and we're going to
00:22:49.120 medicate it. Who, who says, says who, where did you come up with this? Who told you where the line is?
00:22:55.040 All right. Um, as we have covered, leftists have been busy making lists recently, lists of all the
00:23:02.540 heretics who have been insufficiently loyal to leftist orthodoxy, especially anyone who's expressed
00:23:07.180 support for Trump. And they seem to have gotten on the, on the list kick and are going wild with it
00:23:11.540 right now. Uh, here's a list that was on CNN yesterday. This woman, whoever she is, I'm not
00:23:15.640 sure who it is. She has a list of GOP senators who have not congratulated Joe Biden. And it's, it's like all
00:23:23.260 of them, except for, I guess, Mitt Romney. So it's pretty much all the GOP, there might be one or two
00:23:26.520 others who have congratulated. So I look at this and I can pretty much guarantee you that this lady
00:23:32.240 has a similar list at her house, probably up on her fridge of every acquaintance who didn't wish her a
00:23:38.080 happy birthday. I'd like to see a segment on that subject. Maybe CNN could do a segment about all the
00:23:44.180 people who didn't wish this woman a happy birthday, or maybe extended family members who still haven't sent
00:23:48.360 her a wedding gift, you know, even though her wedding was three years ago. These list, list makers,
00:23:54.500 they just, they can't help themselves. Finally, I want to play this for you, uh, simply because
00:23:58.180 it is to my mind, the most important piece of reporting that's MSNBC has ever done. Um,
00:24:04.400 this was really hard hitting stuff. And I just thought it was a really, really important piece
00:24:09.480 of reporting. Here it is. Take a look.
00:24:11.880 NBC's Ken Delanian has some new reporting on something that we talked about at the top of the hour,
00:24:17.460 how the Trump administration is handling the transition with the incoming Biden team, or
00:24:23.520 not handling it, we should say, to a certain extent. This time it involves our intelligence
00:24:29.260 community. Uh, Ken, what have you learned, sir? Oh, s**t. F**k.
00:24:39.400 Okay. Uh, I think we lost, I think we lost Ken for a sec.
00:24:43.060 I think the explanation that he gave for that is that he was having, um, technical difficulties
00:24:48.960 and didn't realize he was on camera. And so that's why that happened. But the way that I read it,
00:24:55.060 at least what I would like to think is that he got some, he's reacting to like some news
00:25:00.880 via text message, or maybe he was trying to order chicken wings by DoorDash, but the place was outside
00:25:07.460 of the delivery zone. And I admit I have reacted in a similar way in, in similar situations many,
00:25:14.560 many times, just not usually on, on camera though. That's the only difference. So, but that is maybe
00:25:20.260 MSNBC's best moment. I think it's only right for us to take a moment and recognize it. All right,
00:25:25.260 we're going to get to our daily cancellation in just one second. But first a word from another one
00:25:30.300 of our sponsors, Mack Weldon. You know, it's, it's important. I think when you're wearing clothes
00:25:35.120 to be comfortable and, but at the same time, you want to, you want to look like you care about
00:25:40.020 how you look. My wife especially is, is always telling me that, uh, with, without the normal
00:25:44.960 routines of going into the office, having business meetings and the like, men are wearing a lot of
00:25:49.560 jeans, soft knit polos, tees, joggers, uh, active shorts, whatever men's basic basics, uh, whatever
00:25:56.400 they are, you need Mack Weldon and they've got you covered with unmatched comfort and fit. So you
00:26:01.580 got, and you got the style of comfort, everything they've got men's essentials, like socks, shirts,
00:26:05.960 hoodies, underwear, polos, active shorts. Uh, Mack Weldon promises comfort and a consistent fit.
00:26:10.820 Plus there's the versatility to it. So you look great. You feel great from working out, going out,
00:26:16.080 going to work or on a date, whatever it is, Mack Weldon is for everyday life. Uh, whatever the
00:26:20.600 situation, whatever situation arises, you know, you've got Mack Weldon and there's technology too.
00:26:25.060 They've got a wide range of customized fabrics that can keep you, keep up with, uh, with you,
00:26:29.120 no matter what your day looks like, no matter what you're doing. Um, and, uh, also, you know,
00:26:33.620 I want to tell you about Weldon Blues, a totally free loyalty program. Level one gets you free
00:26:37.960 shipping for life. Once you reach level two, by spending $200, you get 20% off every order for
00:26:43.880 the next year. That's pretty incredible. And there's, and you've always got the Mack Weldon
00:26:47.760 guarantee. They want you to be comfortable. So if you don't like your first pair of underwear,
00:26:52.160 you can keep it and they'll still refund you. You're not going to have to send back the underwear,
00:26:56.480 which is good. Um, you can, you keep the underwear, but they're going to refund you.
00:26:59.600 No questions asked. Uh, but here's, here's, here's what I would tell you that if you get
00:27:03.640 Mack Weldon, you're not going to want to send it back. And once you go with Mack Weldon,
00:27:07.220 you don't go back to something else for 20% off your first order, visit MackWeldon.com slash
00:27:12.800 Walsh and enter promo code Walsh. And again, it's MackWeldon.com slash Walsh promo code Walsh
00:27:18.920 for 20% off Mack Weldon reinventing men's basics. You know, one other note here, if you, if you
00:27:25.760 weren't already, uh, disgusted by the legacy media, which probably you were, but you should be now,
00:27:31.240 the media has preemptively, of course, called the election in favor of Joe Biden. And they're
00:27:35.100 further claiming that Trump is undermining elections by not conceding. We talked about all this earlier
00:27:39.340 with their misinformation claims, but you know, they, they accuse others of misinformation,
00:27:42.920 but as usual, it's projection, uh, just because CNN and Fox news declare something doesn't make
00:27:49.080 it true. It means they're pushing a narrative that benefits them. Not only that, but the media
00:27:54.220 has already shifted from demonizing president Trump and his supporters to flattering Biden and Harris
00:27:59.480 before they've even taken office. Uh, the dust hasn't settled yet on the election. And we're already
00:28:04.200 reading stories about Joe's rescue dogs. And that's going to be tough for me. If Joe Biden
00:28:09.300 is present, I went to listen to stories about his dogs. For me, especially, that's going to be a
00:28:13.280 difficult thing to deal with Jill's stunning wardrobe. They're telling us about, look, if you're
00:28:18.560 sick of the media feeding you the narrative, then replace your cable and your new subscriptions with
00:28:23.440 the daily wire. We have big plans for these next four years and it all starts today. Uh, Candace Owens,
00:28:28.840 New York times, bestselling author and founder of the Blexit foundation. We made the big announcement
00:28:32.580 last week. She's joining the daily wire. We're all excited about that. We'll, she'll be launching a
00:28:36.640 brand new show with us early next year. Uh, also we're going to have a entertainment channel,
00:28:41.140 a new investigative journalism team. We're building partnerships with like-minded content creators
00:28:46.300 like PragerU who, uh, by the end of the year, their entire show library will be available on
00:28:51.180 dailywire.com. So it's just yet another perk you get if you're a dailywire.com member. We're going
00:28:56.540 after the legacy media and we're going to do it by building a huge membership base of supporters
00:29:00.680 just like you. So right now, just to show you, we're serious. We're offering 25% off all memberships
00:29:06.340 with code election over at dailywire.com slash subscribe. Members get our articles, add free
00:29:11.820 access to all of our live broadcasts and show library, the full three hours of the Ben Shapiro
00:29:15.680 show, exclusive readers pass content, all of that for dailywire members. If you're considering an all
00:29:20.660 access membership, you also get to take part in our live stream discussions with our hosts
00:29:25.080 and our amazing online community. You also get not one, but two leftist tears tumblers with your
00:29:29.980 membership as well as early and sometimes exclusive access to new dailywire products. So remember
00:29:34.240 that's 25% off all memberships with code election over at dailywire.com slash subscribe. You can
00:29:40.440 replace the legacy media with the dailywire. You won't regret it. I guarantee you. All right,
00:29:45.100 let's get to our daily cancellation. Now, before we really get into it, I have to address something
00:29:49.180 briefly from yesterday's cancellation. As you know, I was canceling a whole bunch of states for their
00:29:54.380 incorrect viewpoints on what the best Thanksgiving side dishes are. During that cancellation spree,
00:30:01.120 I did cancel Alabama for listing dressing as its favorite side dish. I thought they meant salad
00:30:08.660 dressing, like ranch or something. I've since been informed that dressing in the South means stuffing.
00:30:14.640 Many in the audience are demanding that I retract my cancellation of Alabama, apologize to Alabama
00:30:21.540 for slandering them. Let me be very clear about this. I do not retract. I do not apologize.
00:30:28.740 It's not my fault that you people use the wrong word to refer to stuffing. Stuffing is stuffing,
00:30:35.060 so-called because often you will stuff it into the cavity of the turkey. I don't know who first came up
00:30:40.660 with the idea of stuffing chunks of bread into a turkey's ass, but that's neither here nor there.
00:30:45.560 Dressing makes no sense as a name for stuffing. So Alabama is canceled for using the wrong word
00:30:50.600 to refer to it. I take no responsibility for this. I apologize to no one. In fact, I demand that you
00:30:56.840 all apologize to me for making me feel stupid and embarrassed when in fact I'm the one who's using
00:31:01.300 the proper names for things. You all should be ashamed. How dare you? How dare Alabama? You're
00:31:07.520 canceled again. Now, today for our daily cancellation, another spree. Maybe spree is too aggressive and
00:31:15.300 intimidating of a term. Maybe I'm not going on a cancellation spree, but rather daintily spreading
00:31:20.340 the cancellations around like a fairy sprinkling pixie dust. I don't know. However you'd like to
00:31:24.980 describe it. I must cancel first the Associated Press for this tweet from their style book. It says,
00:31:31.360 do not use derogatory terms such as insane, crazy slash crazed, nuts, or deranged unless they're part
00:31:38.580 of a quotation that's essential to the story. Avoid using mental health terms to describe unrelated
00:31:43.740 issues. Don't say that an award show, for example, was schizophrenic. Now, they noticeably
00:31:49.840 do not rule out calling someone whacked out, cuckoo for cocoa puffs, one fry short of a happy meal,
00:31:56.760 one can short of a six pack, one card short of a full deck. Bonkers. I still retain the right to use
00:32:02.420 all those terms then. And also all the other terms that the AP has just outlawed. I can use all that
00:32:07.760 too. But the situation gets worse because this tweet was met with appropriate derision and mockery
00:32:13.860 from a lot of people. But the mockery was not as universal or widespread as it should have been.
00:32:20.020 In fact, lots of comments were agreeing and adding to the insanity. Excuse me. No, insanity was the right
00:32:28.280 word. I'll stick with that. Here are some of the comments. Okay. These are from real people.
00:32:32.780 Thank you for this. Addicted is another word casually thrown around, which is something those
00:32:38.640 of us in recovery often struggle with. Someone else said, I would like to adjust and add calling
00:32:44.640 people wild wouldn't be your best choice of words. This term can be slash has been used to oppress
00:32:50.220 POC slash indigenous people and their cultures. Use wisely. Someone else explains that bonkers is not
00:32:57.740 an acceptable replacement term. She says bananas. Yes. Bonkers. No. Bonkers is thought to stem from
00:33:04.460 terms related to being hit on the head, et cetera, and still means crazy, mad, et cetera. Bananas is
00:33:10.320 just a way of saying something is silly. She then suggests wild also has a choice. And someone else
00:33:17.360 corrects her by informing her that wild can be offensive to native tribes, as we just heard. All of
00:33:23.100 this is real, by the way, these are not satire accounts. So let me add a couple of notes here.
00:33:27.880 First of all, bananas is still offensive because it brings to mind the cartoons of people slipping
00:33:34.900 on banana peels, hitting their heads, which also minimizes and diminishes the suffering of head
00:33:41.020 injury patients. Also, bananas grow in tropical regions, often harvested by poor people and minorities.
00:33:46.880 This is their livelihood. To suggest that their livelihood is silly or a joke to you
00:33:51.340 is extremely dehumanizing and offensive to those poor tropical islanders who I'm sure
00:33:55.860 have nothing better to do with their time than troll Twitter looking for things to be offended by.
00:34:01.620 Really, any synonym you might find for crazy can be offensive. Any word at all can be offensive.
00:34:07.100 Any object or thing or concept can be offensive. I can walk outside right now, pick up a random like
00:34:13.140 stick off the ground and find a dozen reasons, at least, to be offended by the stick.
00:34:18.660 I can be offended by anything if I want to be. I once spent three hours offended by a potato just
00:34:23.960 for fun. So this is child's play to me. And by the way, the term child's play is offensive because
00:34:29.860 it suggests that only children play games, which can be humiliating to gamers who don't like it when
00:34:34.620 you notice that they have no life. Once you go down this road, it never ends. The whole exercise is
00:34:41.700 absurd. The one guy saying he doesn't like to hear the word addicted used because he's an addict.
00:34:47.240 So you struggle with this issue, which means none of us are allowed to even say the word in your
00:34:51.500 presence. Or you have mental health problems and that means five dozen words have to be ripped out
00:34:56.340 of the dictionary so that you never have to experience a moment of discomfort by simply hearing a word that
00:35:01.560 vaguely and jokingly refers to your condition. That's not how language works. That's not how
00:35:06.520 communication works. The point of communication is to convey meaning. A person communicates in order
00:35:13.880 to take the thoughts that are in his head and make them understandable to his listener. The point
00:35:19.820 of communication is not to avoid offense. If that were the point, we'd all just stop talking to each
00:35:25.100 other completely. We'd become like monks, monks with a vow of silence, which increasingly I'm starting
00:35:31.640 to believe would be perhaps the best solution for a lot of problems in our society. But for now,
00:35:37.940 in any case, the AP is canceled again. And that'll do it for today. Thanks for watching, everybody.
00:35:45.880 Thanks for listening. Godspeed.
