Today on the Matt Wall Show, two black teens burned a white man to death and the media all but
00:00:04.780
completely ignored the story. Meanwhile, an attack on massage parlors in Atlanta is being
00:00:08.500
desperately linked to white supremacy despite a total lack of evidence for the connection.
00:00:12.240
Plus, five headlines, including the State Department battling the scourge of entrenched
00:00:16.160
whiteness, Ron DeSantis battling the much more serious scourge of critical race theory,
00:00:20.460
and a GoFundMe for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle somehow fails to gain traction. I don't know how.
00:00:25.240
And our daily cancellation will deal with an article in the Scientific American which tries
00:00:28.480
to debunk the case for banning males from female sports. Does it succeed in debunking it? We'll
00:00:34.140
find that out today and so much more on the Matt Wall Show. This past June, a woman named Althea
00:00:45.560
Bernstein claimed that she was set on fire by four white men while waiting at a stoplight in the
00:00:50.620
middle of downtown Madison, Wisconsin at 1 a.m. She said the assailants who happened to be in standing
00:00:55.500
in the middle of the street with all the necessary materials for whatever reason, doused her with
00:00:59.240
lighter fluid, and then threw a lighter into the car. You know, like they do in the movies where
00:01:03.140
they throw a lighter and then something lights on fire. It doesn't really work with most lighters in
00:01:08.320
real life, but that's what she said, and it set her face on fire. Somehow, she was left only with a few
00:01:12.960
splotchy burns on one side of her face after her face being on fire. One would expect a bit more
00:01:17.700
visible damage from having her whole face set ablaze. One would also expect that four flame-throwing
00:01:23.160
murderous white guys attempting to burn people alive in the middle of the city would attract the
00:01:26.800
attention of at least a few witnesses, not to mention security cameras, but the alleged men
00:01:31.900
and the alleged attack was witnessed by no one, and no evidence of the assailants appeared on any camera
00:01:36.320
anywhere in the city. There was also no trace of burn marks or accelerant in the vehicle she was driving
00:01:41.220
when she was supposedly set on fire. So police investigated the hate crime claim and eventually
00:01:45.820
closed the case because they could not find a single shred of evidence to substantiate it.
00:01:49.480
Althea's attackers vanished into the night, much like Jussie Smollett's attackers and the
00:01:54.780
terrorists who hung a rope in Bubba Wallace's garage. It's almost as though they never existed
00:02:00.060
at all. But despite the fact that this event, as reported by Bernstein, was almost certainly a hoax
00:02:04.720
and had all the hallmarks of a hoax from the very beginning, still it made headlines. As you'd expect,
00:02:10.140
the races of the victim and her probably imaginary attackers were front and center in the headlines.
00:02:14.500
The headlines only disappeared once it became clear that the story was turning into an embarrassment
00:02:19.560
for those who hyped it up to begin with. Now, I bring this case up now again because it provides
00:02:25.460
an interesting contrast. Consider now the case of Stephen Ammonhauser, 53 years old, mentally ill,
00:02:31.720
now dead after being brutally murdered last week. Two black teenagers, Zavion Perry and Adriel Riley
00:02:37.500
Junior, ages 16 and 14, have been charged with entering his home and setting him on fire.
00:02:45.480
According to police, they watched him burn for a little bit before leaving. The victim was eventually
00:02:50.160
found, transported to a hospital where he succumbed to his burns after a couple of days.
00:02:54.900
He suffered what is quite literally the most painful death possible. No motive has been given for the crime
00:03:02.160
and there's no indication that hate crime charges are even being considered at this point.
00:03:06.960
Which doesn't mean that there's no evidence that it was a hate crime. It just means that
00:03:10.160
they're not considering right now calling it that. I ask you, have you heard about this case? I mean,
00:03:16.120
heard about it somewhere besides from me right now or one of the other hosts or our website?
00:03:21.980
And if you did hear about it, did you hear about the races of the people involved?
00:03:25.480
Almost certainly not. A search on Google turns up a few articles about this crime, which didn't sound like
00:03:30.860
this happened 10 years ago. It happened just last week. But nothing, I mean nothing, in any mainstream
00:03:36.400
outlet mentioning the racial dichotomy. Is that because the media has decided that race is now
00:03:41.980
irrelevant in violent crime? Well, we know that's certainly not the case. All we have to do is look
00:03:47.160
at the other tragic event of the past week, which happened when a man walked into massage parlors in
00:03:53.280
Atlanta and murdered eight people. The killer is white. Six of the victims were Asian. Two were white.
00:04:00.860
Now here, it would be hard to find headlines that don't mention the races of those involved
00:04:05.180
and expressly draw a connection between race and the crime. We're told that this is the result of
00:04:11.420
white supremacy, that the killer was a white supremacist, one of many out to kill Asians.
00:04:17.400
The only problem is that there is no evidence of that. Here's a police spokesman yesterday telling us
00:04:22.720
what they know about the motive at this point. Listen.
00:04:25.660
The suspect did take responsibility for the shootings. He said that early on, once we began the interviews
00:04:33.160
with him. He claims that these, and as the chief said, this is still early, but he does claim that it
00:04:39.600
was not racially motivated. He apparently has an issue, what he considers a sex fiction, and sees these
00:04:46.740
locations as something that allows him to go to these places. And it's a temptation for him that he wanted
00:04:54.780
to eliminate. Like I said, it's still early on, but those were comments that he made.
00:05:01.420
Did he discuss any kind of religious motivation for this, or was he responsible?
00:05:08.880
None political. I've heard nothing about politics.
00:05:11.140
Well, that's what he says. Now, typically, the person who commits the act is a pretty good
00:05:20.040
authority on what their motivation was. Also, typically, if someone is, and we know this from
00:05:25.880
past events, mass killings and so on, attacks that are racially or ethnically motivated, oftentimes the
00:05:32.300
person who does it, for those reasons, is happy to tell you that that was the reason.
00:05:35.400
So, by all accounts, it sounds like this was a lunatic motivated by sexual rage and jealousy.
00:05:42.300
Could still turn out that there was more to it than that, but that's what we know right now.
00:05:46.240
That would explain why he killed both Asian and white women.
00:05:50.580
The disappointment from the left to the news that this was not racially motivated, as far
00:05:55.500
as we know, has been palpable. For many of them, from what it seems, the tragedy is not
00:06:00.160
that humans died, but that the crime isn't useful to their narrative.
00:06:03.820
I mean, the media is downright excited by, happy about violent crime committed by white
00:06:09.040
men. I mean, they are happy about it. They like it. They can barely contain their glee.
00:06:14.300
In their minds, humans are not anything but props, anyway. They have no value. None of us
00:06:20.780
have value to the media outside of our political usefulness. And that's why there was a mad rush
00:06:25.280
to declare this crime not only racially motivated, but part of a trend, an epidemic, a pandemic
00:06:30.140
of whiteness, as the website The Root put it. Sure, the facts don't fit with this narrative,
00:06:34.560
but so what? Facts can be manipulated, ignored, invented, lied about, as we have seen.
00:06:39.620
As for the real facts, it must be noted that, yes, there has been a rise in violent crime
00:06:44.120
against Asians. But much of that has come at the hands of non-white people. A lot of violence
00:06:50.000
against Asians is committed by black men. It's just a fact. Anti-Asian sentiment has been
00:06:56.140
a problem in the black community for a long time. And you don't have to take my word for
00:06:59.720
it. It's not just me telling you that. The left-wing media admits this. But of course,
00:07:04.220
they put the blame elsewhere. So take this headline from Vox on Tuesday, echoing a common
00:07:08.840
talking point that you see all over social media and the media right now. Their headline
00:07:13.340
is, The History of Tensions and Solidarity Between Black and Asian American Communities
00:07:18.060
Explained. And then the subtitle, How White Supremacy Tried to Divide Black and Asian Americans
00:07:24.320
and How Communities Work to Find Common Ground. Okay, so acknowledging these tensions, but these
00:07:31.960
tensions between the two non-white groups of people are the fault of, you guessed it, white
00:07:36.820
people, of course. Well, that's easy to determine when everything is the fault of white people.
00:07:44.860
You know, I wonder if this is the fault of white people, too. In February, an Asian woman
00:07:49.520
in Milwaukee was tortured, raped, beaten, and killed in a park in broad daylight. She was apparently
00:07:56.260
hanging out in the park, laying on a blanket in the park. And next thing you know, she's being
00:08:02.060
taken, tortured, raped, and beaten. Two black teenagers were arrested for that crime. Now,
00:08:06.960
there's another story that you probably didn't hear about. And if you did hear about it, most likely
00:08:10.560
not what the race has highlighted or mentioned at all. Liz Plank, an MSNBC contributor, tweeted in
00:08:16.500
response to the massage parlor killings. She said, white masculinity fetishizes and dehumanizes Asian
00:08:22.740
women, and it is intrinsically tied to racism. It's crucial that we don't erase the way that
00:08:27.720
misogyny and racism operate together to justify killing Asian women. Now, I haven't checked,
00:08:33.940
admittedly, but I feel rather certain, and I will eat my words if I'm wrong, I feel rather certain that
00:08:39.500
she never said anything about black masculinity dehumanizing and fetishizing Asian women in response
00:08:44.980
to the rape and murder of Miss Leah Milwaukee. You know, the media has its villains, and also
00:08:52.060
its good guys. Every story is already written. It's only a matter of making reality fit into the boxes
00:08:59.700
that they have set up for it. Whatever can't be fit is simply discarded or denied. As they say,
00:09:06.680
when you're a hammer, everything looks like a nail. Well, when you're the American media,
00:09:10.080
everything looks like white supremacy. And whatever doesn't look like it doesn't exist.
00:09:25.180
You know, it could not be more important than it is right now to support companies that have our
00:09:30.420
values and our morals and support us in the culture. And one company that I'm always telling
00:09:35.160
you about, of course, is Charity Mobile. And I tell you about them because I use Charity Mobile,
00:09:40.520
and they really are a great company. They're the pro-life phone company because 5% of your monthly
00:09:44.860
plan price goes to the pro-life, pro-family charity of your choice. A lot of other perks
00:09:49.240
on top of that. You get new activations, eligible accounts, get a free cell phone
00:09:52.680
with free activation and free shipping. There's no contract, no termination fees. And that means that
00:09:58.440
they're not getting you locked into anything. You might as well try it out, see if you like the
00:10:01.680
service. I think you will. You're also going to like that they have live customer service based
00:10:05.800
right here in the USA. You have the ability to block use of cellular data, picture messages,
00:10:10.620
text messages on any or all of your accounts. So you get that extra security for your kids,
00:10:15.000
especially. And on top of all of that, the free apps to monitor your usage and everything else,
00:10:20.300
you're also helping to build a culture of life in America while supporting a pro-life phone company
00:10:24.480
who could turn everyday living into effortless giving for the charity of your choice with
00:10:29.080
Charity Mobile. What you got to do is call them at 1-877-474-3662 or chat with them online at
00:10:35.520
charitymobile.com. The House just passed this resolution to give congressional gold medals to
00:10:42.760
the Capitol Police for their courage in the face of the, quote, insurrection, which is how the
00:10:50.080
resolution phrases it, calling it an insurrection. And it was voted and approved by almost everyone
00:10:58.940
with the exception of 12 Republicans who said that they're not going to vote for this. And of course,
00:11:03.120
now they're being, well, how dare you? The leftists are pretending to be offended that these 12
00:11:11.500
Republicans allegedly aren't supporting the police. Well, how could you not? These are the police,
00:11:16.400
back the blue. Thomas Massey, one of the congressmen who voted against the measure,
00:11:22.680
explained his reasoning. And he said, one of the big reasons is that they call it an insurrection.
00:11:27.680
You know, we have this official document calling it insurrection while we're in the middle of criminal
00:11:33.720
cases tied to this event. And so I don't want to, I don't want to be involved in that.
00:11:40.740
Call it something else because that can be prejudicial. Call it something else and I'll
00:11:44.900
vote for it. That's a very, it's a very good reason not to vote for it. The other reason not to vote for
00:11:49.640
it is that this is, of course, we know entirely political. The Capitol Police, these are the only
00:11:56.560
police officers in the country that the Democrats have ever shown any support for. They just now
00:12:04.140
have discovered their great passion for, you know, protecting law enforcement and supporting law
00:12:10.580
enforcement, but only those law enforcement officers who were there on that particular day.
00:12:18.020
Really what the Republicans, so it's all a charade. It's all a political charade, obviously.
00:12:21.720
And of course, most Republicans are too stupid to see that or too cowardly to do anything about it.
00:12:27.640
So they go along, they go right along with it because they're afraid if they vote against it,
00:12:31.580
they know the media is going to be mad at us and they're going to be mad at you no matter what you
00:12:34.820
do. It's obviously a political charade. The point is not to give the medals to the police officers.
00:12:40.480
The point is to call it an insurrection again. That's entirely political.
00:12:49.400
What I'd like to see the Republicans do, if they had any spine, they'd pass a resolution to give
00:12:55.780
or put together a resolution to give congressional gold medals to all the police officers across the
00:13:01.560
country who defended our cities from BLM terrorists and call them that in the resolution.
00:13:08.420
Of course, the only problem is that in so many cases, the police did not defend the cities
00:13:12.220
from the BLM terrorists, but instead sat back and let it all happen. But even so.
00:13:18.280
All right, let's go. That wasn't my number one. What's my number one here from the Daily Wire?
00:13:22.080
The Department of Defense is not the only cabinet level agency undergoing a woke makeover. According
00:13:27.040
to Politico, the State Department is also wrestling with its identity and racing to address a 232 year
00:13:33.200
history of, quote, entrenched whiteness. Politico reports that Anthony Blinken's State Department
00:13:40.320
is racing to address a 232 year old problem, the overwhelming and entrenched whiteness of the
00:13:45.340
nation's oldest government agency. The department's 23,000 or so American staff may be the global face
00:13:52.660
of America, but they don't look like it. And the gap is growing, not shrinking by many metrics.
00:13:57.540
Though 40 percent of the American population is from a racial or ethnic minority, only 13 percent of
00:14:02.220
the department's senior executive services are people of color. And so this is a big problem.
00:14:07.700
We have to do something about, you know what? I agree. It's a big problem. I think that
00:14:12.260
all the white people in the State Department should step down. In fact, I think that
00:14:16.760
all of the white people in Biden's government should do the right thing and step down all,
00:14:21.100
including himself. Entrenched whiteness is a big, big problem. I agree. If you really cared about it,
00:14:28.720
these are white people, again, including Biden, trying to supposedly address the problem of
00:14:36.140
entrenched whiteness, whatever the hell that is. Seems like you should probably, as Michael
00:14:42.580
Jackson would say, start with the man in the mirror. Look at yourself. I think that's the best
00:14:48.520
thing Joe Biden could do. He could, you know, hold a press conference today and realize and say,
00:14:54.560
listen, we've had almost nothing but white men as president and it's too much and it's wrong.
00:15:02.420
And so I'm going to step down and resign. If he really cared, that's what he would do.
00:15:08.440
Of course, I say that I would want him to do that, but then we'd end up with Kamala Harris. So I'm not
00:15:11.680
sure how much better that would really be. And we already have really President Kamala Harris. So I
00:15:16.020
guess it would be sort of a lateral move. Anyway, more diversity news. Governor Newsom has,
00:15:21.900
in California, has pledged to nominate a black woman to replace Senator Feinstein if she retires. Now,
00:15:27.640
it doesn't look like Senator Feinstein is retiring, but if she does, here's what Newsom says he will
00:15:34.640
do. Let's watch. Okay. We are out of time, out of time, out of time. I have to go to a break,
00:15:38.160
but I have to, this is a yes or no answer that you could give me. If in fact, Dianne Feinstein
00:15:42.440
were to retire, will you nominate an African-American woman to restore the seat that Kamala Harris is no
00:15:51.280
longer in the United States Senate? And do you have a name in mind? I have multiple names in mind.
00:15:56.800
We have multiple names in mind, and the answer is yes. The answer is yes. This clearly,
00:16:04.700
obviously, should be illegal. I mean, it should be illegal to declare ahead of time
00:16:11.200
what race you're looking for, for a particular job.
00:16:18.280
It is illegal, actually, at least in the private sector.
00:16:23.300
You shouldn't be able to do that. That's discrimination.
00:16:28.940
You're declaring ahead of time that you're discriminating against anyone who does not fall
00:16:33.820
into this particular group. So that should be illegal to do that. On top of the fact that,
00:16:40.700
obviously, it's, on top of being discriminatory, it's also infantilizing. The left, as we know,
00:16:48.300
doesn't care about this. But if he's saying this ahead of time, and then you are the black woman who
00:16:56.480
gets nominated for the seat, you know that a big part of the reason is only because of the color of
00:17:02.420
your skin and your gender. You know that. He said it. I know if it were me, I would be kind of
00:17:11.060
insulted by that. I would want to at least think that my achievements and my talent, that's the
00:17:15.940
reason I got the position or nominated for the position. But he's saying ahead of time, that's
00:17:21.100
not it. We're not taking that. That's not the first thing we're looking at. So I'm not nominating
00:17:26.220
you. I'm nominating your skin pigmentation and your genitals. That's what I'm nominating.
00:17:32.120
Because that's what I'm making this decision based on.
00:17:35.600
Seems pretty insulting to me. Also sounds pretty dehumanizing, actually.
00:17:40.260
All right. Number two, the IRS is planning to delay. This is a good news, I guess, to delay the
00:17:46.440
tax deadline to May 50th. Actually, I think May 17th they're delaying it too.
00:17:50.100
So usually, obviously, April 15th, you got an extra month, which is nice. But my thing
00:17:58.380
is they should delay it until never. That's what it should be. It should be delayed until
00:18:02.420
never. There really shouldn't be any income tax at all. But especially right now, if you're
00:18:09.800
worried about helping Americans who've been affected by the pandemic, if you want them to
00:18:13.500
have more money in their pockets so they can go out and put it into the economy, then that's
00:18:18.220
what you would do. But what does it tell you, as I brought up before, what does it tell you
00:18:24.440
that through the last year, Republicans and Democrats, all of our politicians coming up
00:18:31.320
with ideas of how can we stimulate the economy, how can we help people get through this and
00:18:36.580
all of that, nobody even really suggested suspending the income tax completely for a year
00:18:42.780
or two. That wasn't even put on the table for consideration. Instead, we're going to spend
00:18:50.940
trillions of dollars to send money out to people rather than simply letting them keep their own
00:18:54.960
money. Now, you might point out that suspending the income tax isn't going to help people who
00:18:58.920
lost their jobs because they don't have an income, which, yeah, that's true. But as we
00:19:04.180
know, the stimulus checks already are going to a lot of people who didn't lose their jobs.
00:19:07.520
That's what I would, if it were me, that's what I would go with. Let people keep their
00:19:14.160
own money. Rather than giving people money, first thing or first step, default position
00:19:18.940
should be let people keep their own money. Number three, we played the clip a couple days
00:19:23.140
ago of Don Lemon on The View saying that God doesn't judge people. And there was more to
00:19:28.200
that interview. I think this is the same interview, at least. It's just gone viral now and gone
00:19:35.160
viral for all the wrong reasons. We have a little bit more theological insight from Don
00:19:40.380
Lemon that is almost as good as the God doesn't judge people bit. Let's listen to that.
00:19:44.740
And we also have to start being realistic about God and the Bible. And if you are a person of
00:19:51.180
faith in this country, and we know America is built on faith and religious freedom, then
00:19:55.880
we have to, I think a good way of starting is to present the true identity of Jesus. And that
00:20:02.520
is as a black or a brown person rather than someone who looks like a white hippie from
00:20:06.900
Sweden or Norway. And I think we should start with a true depiction of what Jesus looked
00:20:11.740
like and put that in your home, either a black Jesus or a brown Jesus, because we knew Jesus
00:20:16.780
looked more like a Muslim or someone who was dark rather than someone who was blonde, a blonde
00:20:22.180
looking carpenter. And then when your children ask you, who is this? This is Jesus. Jesus was
00:20:28.200
Middle Eastern. Bethlehem was not in Sweden. And so Jesus does not look like the popular
00:20:35.880
depiction that we have in our churches and in our homes and that we see all over the
00:20:40.780
media. And I think that is a good place to start. And that is a good place that your kids
00:20:45.280
will ask questions and then you can go from there. And then we can then we can come to a
00:20:50.820
true reality about what America really is. Okay. Oh, Bethlehem isn't in Sweden. I had no idea.
00:20:58.820
Wow, Don Lemon. Thanks. First, I'm hearing that. Now, a few problems here. Number one,
00:21:07.780
who cares what this person thinks? Like, why are we getting parenting advice from him?
00:21:13.920
Why are we bringing him in to give advice to parents or to give advice to Christians
00:21:17.620
on the best way to observe their faith? What kind of religious icons they should have in
00:21:23.960
their home? You know, I'm not really sure I want anyone's advice on that, but why Don
00:21:29.220
Lemon of all people? He is among the last that I would go to for advice on that.
00:21:36.800
Another big problem is that he says Jesus would have looked Muslim. Well, kind of an issue
00:21:42.000
here. Islam didn't exist 2,000 years ago when Jesus was physically walking the earth. There
00:21:49.300
was no such thing as Muslim people. So that's a problem. You know what he looked like? He looked
00:21:55.680
like a Jew because he was. He looked like a Middle Eastern Jew, which is what he was.
00:22:01.680
But Don Lemon goes with he looked Muslim, a religion that didn't exist and wouldn't exist for another
00:22:06.560
600 years. Instead of just saying Jesus was a Middle Eastern Jew, which by the way, we all know
00:22:13.340
that. I love how the left, because they don't know, they don't understand anything about religious
00:22:21.580
people, you know, except for their own religious cult of leftism. They get that. They understand
00:22:26.380
their own, but they don't understand Christians. And so they always think that they're blowing our
00:22:32.960
minds by saying, Hey, did you know that, uh, Jesus wasn't white? What? He wasn't this whole time.
00:22:39.780
I thought, yeah, we're well aware of that. Not troubled by it at all.
00:22:46.160
Now. And the thing is the majority of Christians on earth also are not white.
00:22:53.140
You know, Christianity is not even close to an exclusively white religion. Never has been.
00:22:58.060
That doesn't trouble us. We're well aware of that. No, it's you who doesn't appear to be
00:23:03.760
aware of that. That's something you need to remind yourself. Christianity is not a white
00:23:11.420
supremacy. That's what, that's a reminder you need. We, we know that. In fact, many of the
00:23:18.880
most persecuted and oppressed people across the globe are non-white Christians because they
00:23:26.040
are Christians in Africa, um, parts of Asia, Middle East, North Korea. They were sent to
00:23:36.980
concentration camps. And for the most part, not white is where they live. And these are
00:23:43.880
among the most oppressed and persecuted people on the globe. Again, a reminder that someone
00:23:49.520
like Don Lemon needs, not us. We know that. All right. Number four, Ron DeSantis continues
00:23:55.980
to be the best elected Republican in the country. And I think at this point, he's just kind of
00:24:00.080
spiking the football, um, or, or lapping the field, whatever sports metaphor you want, uh,
00:24:05.340
hitting home runs, dunking the ball. Um, anyway, and it's a, it's a low bar, I admit to be the
00:24:11.060
best elected Republican in the, in the country, but even so here's what he announced yesterday.
00:24:15.620
Let's listen. Florida civics curriculum will incorporate foundational concepts with the
00:24:21.080
best materials, and it will expressly exclude unsanctioned narratives like critical race theory
00:24:29.040
and other unsubstantiated theories. Let me be clear. There's no room, uh, in our classrooms
00:24:41.820
for things like critical race theory, teaching kids to hate their country and to hate each other
00:24:57.100
So we will invest in actual solid, true curriculum, and we will be a leader in the development and
00:25:03.600
implementation of a world-class civics education.
00:25:07.240
Right. Yeah. Um, obviously exactly what needs to happen with this shouldn't even need to be a
00:25:12.880
discussion. Clearly critical race theory does not belong in the classroom. If you want to pick up
00:25:19.440
books on that subject yourself and indoctrinate yourself, you're more than, uh, you're, you're more
00:25:24.020
than free to do so. And if you want to elect a class on a subject like that in, in college, and you
00:25:31.360
want to, you want to send yourself into bankruptcy, you want to, um, take on all that debt to be
00:25:37.380
indoctrinated into that, have at it, but it shouldn't be in grade school where our kids cannot
00:25:45.120
choose it, are totally susceptible to it. You know, don't, don't have the psychological equipment yet
00:25:52.160
to understand that they're being indoctrinated and to separate fact from fiction and narrative from
00:25:58.020
reality. And so it doesn't belong in the classroom. Only thing I would add to that is, um, if we're,
00:26:04.260
if we're, if we're talking about theories that need to be taken out of the classroom,
00:26:07.900
critical race theory, also gender theory does not belong in the classroom. Those two theories
00:26:11.700
don't belong in the classroom. Really? Any, any time something has theory attached to it doesn't
00:26:18.760
mean we don't teach it. I mean, there, there are obviously theories that we, that we do need to
00:26:22.740
teach. Um, but that's something you got to look at a theory. Okay. That, that's going to, that's
00:26:30.200
going to, that should attract extra scrutiny. And maybe we could just sum it up this way. If it's not
00:26:36.020
a valid scientific theory, like the theory of gravity, let's say, if it's not a valid scientific
00:26:43.920
theory, then it doesn't belong in the classroom. Scientific theories are systems to explain
00:26:52.300
what we observe in the natural world. So they're very valuable in the scientific context,
00:26:57.700
but leftist theories, these, these systems to explain what we observe culturally and in society,
00:27:05.100
those don't belong. All right. Number five from the daily wire, it says a GoFundMe set up to help
00:27:12.360
Harry and Megan, um, to pay off the $14 million mortgage in their California home has folded after
00:27:19.880
less than a week. Uh, an alleged Harry and Megan mega fan set up the fund after hearing of the
00:27:26.000
couple's financial troubles in their interview with Oprah Winfrey. Memorably Harry, who has a trust fund
00:27:31.000
from his mother worth, worth millions and was previously, previously supported by a generous
00:27:35.100
grant from his father complained that he and Megan had to find paying jobs in order to afford private
00:27:39.920
security and their modest home. Then he complained that they'd been cut off financially. So then this
00:27:45.240
GoFundMe was set up by a generous benefactor or, or, you know, want to be benefactor. Anastasia
00:27:51.920
Hanson set up the GoFundMe account. Um, and she, she explained when she set it up, when they came to
00:27:57.140
the USA, they were without jobs and with limited funds. They've stated, and they've had a very rough
00:28:02.280
time. So this fundraiser is a way to give help, compassion, and love by paying their home loan in
00:28:07.280
full. We're 2 million supporters to donate just $5 each. The goal is met and the loan can be paid off.
00:28:13.500
And on top of that, you can have the peace of mind of knowing that you help these multimillionaires
00:28:18.460
pay for their mansion, you know, and you can't put a price tag on that. Anyway, the, uh, GoFundMe
00:28:25.440
raised a total of $110, which is $110 too much. And it raises a lot of questions about the
00:28:35.180
psychology of the people who donated to this or set it up. And it also goes back to the question of why
00:28:40.660
is this deadbeat loser, Prince Harry, depending on his parents? You're in your thirties and saying
00:28:47.900
you're, my parents have cut me off financially. Of course they have. Yes. Even if you weren't rich
00:28:54.560
in your thirties, you ought to be cut off financially. Time to, time to leave the nest and fly on your own
00:29:00.500
baby bird. And if you can't, then you'll splat on the pavement and, uh, such is life.
00:29:05.080
All right, let's move on to reading the YouTube comments. Um, let's see. Preston Wade says,
00:29:11.760
Matt is the peak of stereotypical fathers. Uh, I'll, I'll take it. I don't know exactly what
00:29:17.440
you mean by that, but I'll take it. And, um, I, even though I don't know what you mean, I,
00:29:20.900
it's, it's probably true. Rachel says, Matt would probably be horrified to learn that my bunny
00:29:26.120
sleeps in my bed with me at night. So you have essentially what is a large rodent,
00:29:33.580
maybe not technically sleeping in your bed with you. Yeah. I am pretty horrified by that,
00:29:38.960
but in fairness, I'm, I'm no more horrified than I am by the people that have their dogs sleeping in
00:29:45.900
bed with them. As I already established, dogs don't belong in the home. They belong outside
00:29:50.360
animals in general. You know, there should be no species aside from the human species inside the
00:29:57.120
home. Homes are for, or, or, or for humans. So we, we invented homes. Animals lived for millions of
00:30:04.680
years without homes, without, without, at least without, um, without constructed dwellings, like
00:30:09.180
what we have four walls and a ceiling. They did just fine. So, and if, if they can, if they can't
00:30:17.220
survive without it, then again, that's nature taking its course. Um, Abby Runyon says, Matt,
00:30:23.540
have you ever been to Kansas city, Missouri? I swear I saw you years ago at a Barnes and Noble
00:30:28.220
here in Kansas city. I even followed you around for a while. Cause I was seriously convinced it was
00:30:33.940
you. And I've been a fan since your early blog days. If it was you, that's awesome. If not shame
00:30:38.840
on you for not visiting one of the greatest cities in the world. Uh, Abby, that was not me.
00:30:43.040
You were following around some poor random guy who with a beard, probably scaring this guy half
00:30:49.860
to death. And you were obviously banned from the show, but thank you for being a fan until this
00:30:56.260
moment when you were not banned. Um, and finally, Jareth says, I think Matt Walsh is unfairly maligning
00:31:04.380
my culture in Australia. We abbreviate nearly everything. Sometimes even other abbreviations.
00:31:09.660
Yeah, I did. I did hear this a lot, but I, when I complained yesterday about, uh, grownups putting
00:31:13.660
an E sound at the end of word, you know, abbreviating words with an E sound, comfy, veggie, uh, stimmy,
00:31:19.880
that's the latest. I heard from a lot of people in Australia saying that that's part of their culture,
00:31:24.220
but I mean, Australia is also a place. Australia is, uh, is in many ways, uh, a horrifying nightmarish
00:31:37.220
land of man-eating spiders and so forth that crawl from the ceilings in your home. So I, you know,
00:31:42.460
it's, I, I'm not going to take that as our example that we should emulate. So that doesn't, that does
00:31:47.100
not at all come close to justifying it. And it does not take a lot of effort. Whatever the full word
00:31:52.480
is stimulus. Stim, how long does it take out a stopwatch? How long does it, does it take you to
00:31:58.660
say the word stimulus and now compare it to stimmy almost the same amount of time, have some
00:32:05.660
dignity, some self-respect. And I want to tell you about our friends at rock auto, you know,
00:32:10.220
as the weather is warming up, people are emerging outside out into society again, and more ways than
00:32:16.200
one. You don't want to waste time at auto parts stores. If you have any problem with a car or you
00:32:20.660
need, you need auto parts for any reason, uh, that's the last thing you want to do is be at the
00:32:24.620
inside auto parts store. Uh, and not only are you cooped up inside, but you're also
00:32:28.960
going to be spent spending more than you need to spend. You're going to be dealing with a
00:32:33.400
frustrating lack of selections and lack of options. Why do that? When you can go to rockauto.com
00:32:38.520
rockauto.com always offers the lowest prices possible. Uh, you know, that they're going to
00:32:43.040
do that. And they're going to be honest with you because rockauto.com is a family business
00:32:46.080
serving auto parts, customers online for 20 years. You can go to rockauto.com to shop for auto and
00:32:50.560
body parts from hundreds of manufacturers. Best of all, the prices are rockauto.com.
00:32:54.920

00:32:59.300
matter. You're going to get the same great price. The rockauto.com catalog is unique and remarkably
00:33:03.860
easy to navigate. You can quickly find all the parts that are available for your car or truck

00:34:18.740
So the interesting thing about the debate surrounding biological males and women's sports
00:34:22.160
is that there really isn't any debate at all. You know, a debate involves argument, an exchange of
00:34:26.900
ideas between people of opposing sides on a particular issue. And this requires each side to
00:34:31.660
have some sort of coherent point of view and for them each to present that point of view in a manner
00:34:36.540
that might be intelligible to their opponents. None of that is happening with respect to this
00:34:40.200
issue. The side which favors opening up female sports and locker rooms to males has not bothered
00:34:45.660
to launch any coherent defense of this change or give any good reason for anyone to agree with it
00:34:50.440
other than to scream empty buzzwords like bigot and transphobes at those who fail to cooperate with
00:34:55.360
them. Carl Sagan liked to say that extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. Now it could
00:35:01.500
just as well be said that extraordinary policy proposals require extraordinary justifications. In this case,
00:35:07.520
there is both an extraordinary claim that some males are really women and an extraordinary proposal that
00:35:13.400
biological sex should not be considered as a factor in who gets admitted into women's sports, yet there
00:35:18.140
is nothing approaching extraordinary evidence or extraordinary justification for these assertions.
00:35:24.160
There is not even ordinary evidence and justification. There is nothing. Those who favor putting males in
00:35:29.520
female sports have not bothered to defend their claim at all or to engage with the points raised by the
00:35:33.940
other side. The points on the other side are simple, straightforward, but also powerful. For example,
00:35:40.920
here's author Abigail Schreier testifying before the Senate yesterday about the so-called Equality Act
00:35:46.560
and raising a number of, I think, very pertinent questions. Let's listen.
00:35:51.100
If your daughter or granddaughter was the top high school tennis player in her state and then five
00:35:57.280
biological boys suddenly decided at the age of 17 to identify as female, should she drop overnight to
00:36:04.320
number six? Should she lose her college scholarship to a male-bodied athlete who would never have qualified
00:36:10.840
on the boys' team? Does that strike any member of this committee as fair or just? If a woman in your state
00:36:18.860
commits a crime, should she be put in a correctional facility with biological males, some of whom are sex
00:36:25.120
offenders, some of whom may have only begun identifying as female weeks earlier, all of whom
00:36:31.980
could easily overpower her? If a preschool has a policy that only female teachers may accompany
00:36:38.780
little girls to the bathroom and your daughter's male teacher suddenly identifies as female,
00:36:44.440
ought that teacher to have a legal entitlement to accompany her? Does that strike anyone in this room
00:36:50.280
as safe or sensible? Those are good questions. Questions that need to be answered by the people
00:36:55.140
proposing this stuff, but they won't answer them. They have, again, nothing to offer.
00:37:01.220
So to illustrate my point, let's turn to a recent article in the allegedly reputable publication
00:37:05.360
Scientific American. The piece, written by child psychiatrist Dr. Jack Turbin, titled
00:37:10.140
Trans Girls Belong on Girls' Sports Teams, claims that there is no scientific case for excluding
00:37:15.640
biological males from female sports. Now, this is certainly extraordinary. No case? It's been
00:37:21.020
thought for millennia that males have biological advantages over women that give them the edge
00:37:25.220
in sports, combat, and other physical contests. Jack Turbin insists that there is no scientific
00:37:30.200
case, not simply a weak case, but no case at all to support this bias. He then spends several
00:37:36.380
thousand words explaining why, except he never does explain why. The actual article itself doesn't
00:37:42.400
prove or even really attempt to prove the opening thesis. Here's what it says instead. The article
00:37:47.880
begins with the lawsuit filed in federal court by the family of three girls, cis girls, as the author
00:37:53.480
calls them, in an effort to make biological females seem like but one possible type of girl, one variant.
00:38:00.140
They're suing the Connecticut Association of Schools for allowing boys to compete against girls in
00:38:04.560
track and field. The author, Turbin, attempts to debunk the premise of the lawsuit, writing,
00:38:09.200
quote, after the Connecticut lawsuit was filed by the cisgender girls families, one of those girls
00:38:14.800
beat one of the transgender girls named in the lawsuit in the Connecticut state championship. It
00:38:18.780
turns out that when transgender girls play on girls sports teams, cisgender girls can win. In fact,
00:38:24.160
the vast majority of female athletes are cisgender, as are the vast majority of winners. There's no
00:38:28.660
epidemic of transgender girls dominating female sports. Attempts to force transgender girls to play
00:38:33.140
on the boys team are unconscionable attacks on already marginalized transgender children,
00:38:37.340
and they don't address a real problem. They're unscientific, and they would cause serious
00:38:41.380
mental health damage to both cisgender and transgender youth. Now, obviously, the fact that
00:38:47.660
some girls can beat some guys in some sports sometimes does not at all prove that boys don't
00:38:54.480
have an inherent advantage. I'm sure there are some blind people who can beat some seeing people in a
00:39:00.440
game of darts, but no sane person would suggest that sight is not an advantage in a contest like that.
00:39:07.340
The point with respect to those male athletes running track in Connecticut is that they were
00:39:12.880
winning gold, silver, and bronze medals with times that would not have qualified them to step onto the
00:39:17.600
track against the men. Against the men, against their fellow males, they were subpar runners,
00:39:23.320
12th, 13th, 14th, 15th place, or worse. Against the women, they were top competitors. That's the
00:39:29.360
advantage. And this scientific article doesn't so much as try to deal with that fact. It just ignores the
00:39:36.160
fact as it ignores every other fact. Later on, it says, quote, the notion of transgender girls
00:39:42.860
having an unfair advantage comes from the idea that testosterone causes physical changes such
00:39:47.180
as an increase in muscle mass. But transgender girls are not the only girls with high testosterone
00:39:51.560
levels. An estimated 10% of women have polycystic ovarian syndrome, which results in elevated

testosterone levels. They are not banned from female sports. Transgender girls on puberty blockers,
00:40:01.800
on the other hand, have negligible testosterone levels. Yet these state bills would force them to
00:40:06.100
play with the boys. Plus, the athletic advantage conferred by the testosterone is equivocal.
00:40:12.420
As Katrina Karkazi, a senior visiting fellow and expert on testosterone and bioethics at Yale
00:40:18.580
University explains, studies of testosterone levels in athletics do not show any clear consistent
00:40:23.480
relationship between testosterone and athletic performance. Sometimes testosterone is associated
00:40:28.020
with better performance, but other studies show weak links or no links. And yet others show
00:40:32.300
testosterone is associated with worse performance. The bill's premise lacks scientific validity.
00:40:39.200
Okay. Now, even if I were to simply accept this ridiculous claim that testosterone doesn't give you an
00:40:46.480
advantage, or even it's a disadvantage in a physical sport, and even if I were to pretend that there's
00:40:52.260
some relevance to the minority of women with an ovarian condition that gives them more of the
00:40:56.560
hormone, even if I were to accept all of that, and even if I were to pretend again, for the sake of this
00:41:01.820
argument, which he wants us to pretend, that all of the male athletes competing against women are on puberty
00:41:07.000
blockers, which is not true, well, let's say, well, let's just give them all of that. It still would not come
00:41:15.180
close to proving the case that men have no physical advantage over women in sports. Testosterone is but one
00:41:21.800
factor. One. As an article in Live Science in 2017 noted, an article that would probably not be
00:41:28.660
published today, men, along with having up to 20 times more testosterone than women, also have
00:41:34.280
greater muscle mass, larger fast-twitch muscle fibers, larger lungs, larger hearts, longer legs,
00:41:40.780
smaller waist, less body fat. And this is but a partial list. All of these physical factors give men a
00:41:48.300
distinct, profound, significant physical advantage. This is why all of the fastest and strongest people in the
00:41:55.140
world are men. This is why there is no state in the union where the top female runners have on average
00:42:00.640
faster times than the top male runners. This is why a decent male high school basketball player could walk into
00:42:06.540
the WNBA and dominate without having to try that hard. It all comes back to physiology. And this article, which is
00:42:13.820
supposed to be providing a thorough scientific case for allowing males and women's sports, does not deal
00:42:20.580
with any of these physiological factors. Those two paragraphs that I read are the extent of the
00:42:26.540
scientific case presented. From there, his argument revolves solely around the feelings of trans
00:42:31.880
athletes, claiming that it will be emotionally painful for some men if they're not allowed to compete
00:42:36.780
against women. But this is negated by the fact that it's emotionally painful for women to have their
00:42:41.080
privacy and athletic opportunities stolen by men. At a minimum, we have an emotional wash, right? A
00:42:47.140
stalemate with both sides making emotional claims. Now, in reality, the emotions of the men are far
00:42:53.180
outweighed by the women, both because there are a lot more women affected and because the emotional
00:42:57.760
demands of the men are far more unreasonable than that of the women. But even if we pretend again
00:43:03.500
that it's an even emotional match, still we are left having to fall back on the scientific argument.
00:43:10.260
And as far as that goes, as we have seen, the other side really has no scientific argument
00:43:15.700
at all, which doesn't stop them from publishing in something called Scientific American.
00:43:22.540
And so that's why the author of this article is canceled. And anyone who reads that article or at
00:43:29.560
least reads the headline, which is what most people will do and what they're counting on you doing,
00:43:33.200
and is simply persuaded that, well, the article says it in the headline, it's in something called
00:43:37.360
Scientific American, they must have a scientific case. Anyone dumb enough to do that, and I fear
00:43:42.760
there are millions of them, also canceled. And we'll leave it there for today. Thanks for
00:43:47.620
watching. Thanks for listening. Have a great day. Godspeed.
