00:01:18.080 Now, I and plenty of other people pointed out that perhaps AOC herself, being a wealthy and famous politician,

00:01:25.340 might want to reach into her own pocket and help her poor abuela.

00:01:30.200 You would think she has more than enough resources to do that.

00:01:34.020 But we have to understand that AOC has other expenses that she has to attend to.

00:01:39.600 She just bought a Tesla, for example.

00:01:42.340 You know, those those payments can be pretty expensive.

00:01:44.380 And she spends a lot, I'm sure, on organic produce at Whole Foods.

00:01:48.360 Have you ever seen the organic produce section at Whole Foods?

00:01:52.460 She just the point is, she just isn't able to fix her abuela's ceiling, which is currently in the process of collapsing.

00:02:39.740 As we know, there is an epidemic of violent crime all across the country.

00:02:44.200 This epidemic is really just an extension of a worsening of the epidemic that had already been plaguing many major cities for decades.

00:02:53.220 As Democrats move to defund police departments, release prisoners from jail or keep them out of jail to begin with, many cities are seeing their already existent violent crime problem surge now to terrifying new levels.

00:03:06.200 Selecting just a few examples here.

00:03:08.100 Homicides in Los Angeles are up 44% from 2019 and nearly 27% over 2020.

00:03:15.320 Aggravated assaults and other violent crimes have also seen a precipitous rise.

00:03:20.060 Violent crime in New York is up 22%.

00:03:21.980 In Seattle, they're dealing with their highest homicide rate in over a quarter century.

00:03:25.960 In Chicago, shootings are up 36% over the previous year, and they were really bad the previous year, too.

00:03:34.880 Atlanta, Baltimore, Austin, et cetera, have all seen similar spikes.

00:03:39.180 As incarceration rates go down and the prison population decreases and police departments shrink, violent crime rises.

00:03:48.620 It's almost as if there might be some kind of correlation here.

00:03:55.520 Fewer people in prison.

00:03:57.620 Prison population is going down.

00:03:59.860 Fewer police officers.

00:04:01.540 Crime is going up.

00:04:03.960 There's just a lot of dots here that seem to be collecting, and it's almost like you might be able to connect them.

00:04:10.080 In fact, there are more dots than that that possibly could be connected, because there's a very specific pattern to some of this stuff.

00:04:20.160 So take just the latest, and this is the latest one, one of the latest ones, the latest random assault against an Asian person.

00:04:26.420 This one was in New York.

00:04:27.980 First, let's play the local news report on the incident, and maybe you can pick up on some of the patterns that are coming to light here.

00:04:34.720 Let's watch.

00:04:35.140 On Monday night, on Memorial Day, a 55-year-old Asian woman was returning from grocery shopping when she was suddenly punched.

00:04:44.620 The victim fell to the ground on her butt and rolled back.

00:04:47.580 The back of her head hit the outdoor dining frame, and she passed out.

00:04:50.700 Her eye just shut off.

00:04:51.860 Thankfully, Good Samaritan stepped in to tend to the victim and to make sure the attacker did not escape.

00:04:59.220 Police arrested 48-year-old Alexander Wright and charged him with assault as a hate crime.

00:05:04.720 Records show Wright, who was homeless, has been arrested 17 times.

00:05:09.680 A history of alleged violence.

00:05:12.060 A pattern of going right back on the street.

00:05:15.700 So what's the pattern?

00:05:17.540 Well, first of all, there was not a white man committing that assault.

00:05:24.120 Asians are being targeted across the country, but despite what the media might want you to believe,

00:05:28.140 this wave of hate crimes is not being driven by white supremacists.

00:05:32.540 But the other noticeable pattern is that the man had collected arrests, like they're trophies.

00:05:38.420 17 prior arrests, several of them for violent crimes.

00:05:41.940 Yet he ends up back on the street after each crime, never with apparently any intention to stop committing crimes.

00:05:49.820 Just put him back on the street.

00:05:51.840 You know he's going to commit another crime, and he does, and repeat the process forever.

00:05:56.140 This is a violent criminal known to the system as a violent criminal, and yet allowed to remain on the street, victimizing innocent people.

00:06:06.760 And you notice this with most of the attacks we've heard about, these attacks against Asian people.

00:06:12.500 Most of the cases we've heard about, most of the time, it's someone who's been randomly assaulting people for years, like a hobby.

00:06:19.100 We notice this with many of BLM's criminal martyrs, men who had committed one crime after another, and yet were still on the street.

00:06:28.580 So what's the answer to this problem?

00:06:31.160 Well, not to give her the stage yet again, as I did in my opening monologue yesterday, but it's not my fault that she keeps saying stupid things, so what can I do?

00:06:40.680 So AOC has an idea, which she explained during a press conference yesterday.

00:06:45.360 This is her idea for what we can do about all the crime.

00:06:48.440 This is what she says.

00:06:49.780 If we want to reduce violent crime, if we want to reduce the number of people in our jails, the answer is to stop building more of them.

00:06:57.160 The answer is to make sure that we actually build more hospitals, we pay organizers, we get people mental health care and overall health care, employment, etc.

00:07:05.980 It's to support communities, not throw them away.

00:07:08.200 First of all, I will be expecting a press conference like that to thank me for the help that I'll be giving her abuela.

00:07:18.780 I'm not going to hold my breath, but she says the answer to crime is to stop building jails.

00:07:26.640 Just as the answer to obesity is to stop manufacturing scales, the answer to kidney disease is to tear down the dialysis clinics,

00:07:34.640 the answer to paralysis is to stop making wheelchairs.

00:07:38.200 If you don't have the thing that is meant to address a certain problem, then you no longer have the problem, apparently.

00:07:49.560 I also threw out a bottle of Tylenol yesterday and it cured my headache.

00:07:53.520 It's amazing how this works.

00:07:54.940 The problem, of course, is that in reality, if you have fewer jails and fewer people in jails, the people who would otherwise be in jail have to go somewhere.

00:08:06.400 And in this case, they will go back into their communities where they will become the problem of someone other than AOC or her fellow Democratic lawmakers.

00:08:16.080 Always remember that the people telling us to tear down the jails and the police departments, they are almost every time in nearly every case.

00:08:24.380 People who live in communities where violent crime is not a major issue to begin with.

00:08:29.320 It's easy for them to have compassion for violent criminals because someone else will have to pay the price for their compassion.

00:08:37.480 And you'll notice that about Democratic leftist compassion.

00:08:40.380 This is the way it always goes.

00:08:41.920 Someone suffers because of it and it's not them.

00:08:44.560 Now, true compassion means taking on someone's suffering, sharing in their suffering, suffering alongside them.

00:08:53.480 It means that you, as the compassionate person, are the one suffering alongside the person.

00:09:01.720 But that's not how leftist compassion works.

00:09:05.200 You will suffer for their compassion.

00:09:08.780 Your family pays the price.

00:09:11.300 They're not alleviating injustice or suffering.

00:09:15.480 They are, at best, transferring it from one place to another.

00:09:44.040 If you're a criminal, especially a violent criminal, and you suffer in jail, you deserve it.

00:15:44.880 laws which allow biologically male inmates who identify as female to share prison cells

00:16:06.780 Another noted how female inmates, many victims of past sexual assault, are arming themselves

00:16:13.060 out of fear of victimization from 300-pound men who, quote, look like Hercules.

00:16:19.960 Those women spoke to Abigail Schreier, author of Irreversible Damage, the Transgender Craze,

00:16:24.580 Seducing Our Daughters, a book which I read recently and I've talked about on this show, and I would

00:16:28.760 highly recommend that book to everyone.

00:16:32.560 But they spoke with her, and she was talking about their plight.

00:16:36.460 Former inmate Tyrena Griffin told Schreier that, quote, many of the men who are transferring

00:16:40.840 there aren't even on hormonal medication.

00:16:44.140 She told the author, quote, they're getting a full erection.

00:16:46.880 So, you're locked in this room 24-7 with a man, and there's nothing you can do about it.

00:16:51.840 If you tell the police you don't want to live with a man, or you're afraid, or whatever,

00:16:54.980 you'll get a disciplinary infraction.

00:16:57.780 So, you're basically punished for being scared.

00:17:01.980 Another former inmate, Amy Ichikawa, explained that Central California Women's Facility in

00:17:07.560 Chowchilla does not separate inmates based on severity of crime due to the nature of

00:17:12.540 women's facilities being significantly less violent than men's facilities.

00:17:16.560 So, when biologically male inmates are transferred in, they're mixed with inmates without regard

00:17:21.920 to the nature of their crime.

00:17:25.040 Ichikawa said, quote, we're all mixed together.

00:17:27.020 The people who've murdered their children are in the same room as the people who've stolen

00:17:30.080 boxers from Walmart.

00:17:31.560 And it's worth reading this report, because it goes into more detail than that, and all

00:17:38.080 of it is absolutely horrifying.

00:17:39.560 Now, I said just a moment ago that prisons are a place of suffering.

00:17:46.700 There's no doubt about that.

00:17:48.920 And that's not a bad thing, because if you're a criminal, you should suffer.

00:17:53.600 I mean, all criminals should suffer, just not to the same degree.

00:17:56.900 I mean, obviously, someone who steals boxers from Walmart isn't going to suffer.

00:18:00.820 It shouldn't be made to suffer in the same way that a violent criminal or murderer should.

00:18:05.880 But there should be a punishment.

00:18:07.700 See, that's the thing with, now I'm kind of backtracking to the other conversation.

00:18:12.380 We'll loop back around in a second.

00:18:13.820 But we have to be clear, and I think we have this muddled idea these days about what prison

00:18:19.360 even is and why it exists in the first place.

00:18:23.760 And I would say that it exists for two reasons, and they're equally as important.

00:18:27.640 One reason is to segregate dangerous people from society.

00:18:33.600 That's part of it.

00:18:34.900 That's really important, especially if you live in one of these communities where these

00:18:38.680 violent criminals tend to also live.

00:18:42.720 But we can't forget the other part of it is punishment.

00:18:47.180 It is an actual punishment.

00:18:48.900 And part of being punished is suffering.

00:18:54.100 And that is good, again, for society.

00:18:56.740 It helps to maintain a properly ordered society.

00:18:59.220 It helps to keep society safe.

00:19:01.740 There's also a deterrent element to it.

00:19:04.060 But it's good for the criminal to have to suffer and to confront the severity of their own crimes.

00:19:11.480 And that's how, if there's any chance of reconciliation, if there's any chance of personal reform,

00:19:16.020 of turning a new leaf, it's not going to happen unless the people who commit these crimes are made to suffer.

00:19:21.780 So that's that.

00:19:26.600 There should be suffering in prison.

00:19:28.960 But there's also a concept of cruel and unusual punishment, which is in our Constitution, and that's a good thing.

00:19:37.680 Because, as I said, there's a limit, and there are degrees of suffering.

00:19:41.240 And this is all supposed to be calibrated based on the severity of crime and everything.

00:19:47.320 So putting women, many of them not even violent criminals, shoplifters, illegal drug users, and so on,

00:19:58.320 locking them in cells with these large, violent men for 24 hours a day,

00:20:06.000 that is cruel and unusual punishment.

00:20:08.880 It is unconstitutional.

00:20:11.240 It is a horrifying form of torture and neglect.

00:20:21.240 And these women are being literally silenced.

00:20:23.520 We hear so much about, well, women are being silenced.

00:20:26.660 In most cases, that's not the case at all.

00:20:30.760 Most of the women who are out screaming that they're being silenced,

00:20:33.600 well, they're screaming and we hear them, so they're not being silenced.

00:20:37.180 But these women in prison, they are literally being silenced.

00:20:41.240 As we heard from one of them say, if they speak out against it or if they object,

00:20:46.540 if they say, hey, this is a dude you've just put me in a prison cell with.

00:20:51.440 This is a dude who isn't even making an effort to pretend that he's a woman.

00:20:57.580 If they say that, they get punished for it.

00:20:59.980 If you care, if you really cared at all about, number one, women's rights,

00:21:06.980 and number two, the unjust suffering and the unjust punishment of criminals,

00:21:15.980 if you cared about any of that or all of it,

00:21:19.400 then you'd be speaking out loudly about this.

00:21:22.160 you'd be holding press conferences about this.

00:21:27.740 Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, she's not going to say a damn word about this.

00:21:30.320 Is it because she doesn't know? Oh, she knows.

00:21:34.100 Is it because she doesn't realize that it's insane

00:21:37.240 to be taking women and putting them in jail cells with 300-pound men?

00:21:44.220 Does she not realize? No, she realizes that it's insane also.

00:21:50.560 Despite how it may seem, most of these Democrats, including Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez,

00:21:56.300 look, they're radical, they're dishonest,

00:22:00.140 but most of them are not stupid.

00:22:05.300 It may seem like they are, but at least they're not as dumb as they come across.

00:22:10.060 They know what they're doing.

00:22:14.220 And they know that this is wrong,

00:22:40.580 and base the entire thing on the honor system.

00:22:47.040 where you're supposed to be in jail

00:22:48.220 for the next 27 years.

00:22:50.120 We're not going to have any guards.

00:22:51.300 We're not going to have any walls or anything.

00:22:53.040 Honor system, okay?

00:22:55.200 I mean, you're a murderer.

00:22:56.600 I'm sure we can trust

00:22:58.440 your personal sense of honor and integrity.

00:23:02.080 So on the honor system,

00:23:04.120 they're letting men into women's prisons

00:23:06.720 because the men claim

00:23:09.040 that they identify as women

00:23:10.420 or really feel deep down

00:23:12.040 that they're women.

00:23:13.220 There's no way to confirm that.

00:23:15.000 It's just, they said it.

00:23:16.500 And so, oh, who would lie?

00:23:18.420 This is a murderer and sex offender.

00:23:22.540 He wouldn't lie about this.

00:23:25.620 And of course, even if we could confirm

00:23:27.620 that they really do identify as women,

00:23:30.800 that wouldn't make a damn bit of difference

00:23:32.640 because they still don't belong

00:23:33.580 in women's prisons

00:23:34.140 because they're not women.

00:23:36.620 But the point is that

00:23:37.660 a lot of these guys,

00:23:39.040 they don't even really identify as women.

00:23:42.440 They identify as far as just saying,

00:23:44.480 oh, yeah, I'm a woman.

00:23:47.520 In fact, if you're a violent male criminal

00:23:50.180 in a place like California,

00:23:51.200 why wouldn't you at this point

00:23:55.180 just come out and say,

00:23:56.180 yeah, yeah, I'm a woman too.

00:23:57.460 Somebody to the women's prison.

00:24:01.420 That's what a lot of them are doing

00:24:02.480 and we have to respect their self-identity.
