The Matt Walsh Show - Ep. 735 - Dems Plan To Make Cities Safer By Letting Violent Criminals Roam The Streets

00:00:00.000 Today on The Matt Walsh Show, a very special announcement coming up in just a second.

00:00:03.860 And also, Democrats have already defunded police departments across the country amid a surge in violent crime.

00:00:08.740 Now, they've unveiled their brilliant next step.

00:00:12.020 Stop building jails, because that will surely solve the crime problem.

00:00:15.340 And five headlines, including women inmates speaking of jails and former inmates speaking out about men being put in cells with them.

00:00:22.280 Where is the compassionate left on that?

00:00:24.740 Plus, Katie Hill sues various media outlets over the nude photos of her that they published. 0.99

00:00:29.760 And she loses the case. Now she has to pay $100,000.

00:00:33.880 What do we think about that?

00:00:35.080 And more information comes out about the UFOs that infest our skies.

00:00:38.460 Are they really technology from outer space or from foreign adversaries?

00:00:42.500 And if they are from foreign adversaries, should we be concerned that our own military is more focused on diversity and inclusion than on defending our nation?

00:00:50.980 All of that and more today on The Matt Walsh Show.

00:00:59.760 Before we begin today, I want to revisit something briefly that we discussed yesterday.

00:01:07.800 Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez posted pictures of her abuela's dilapidated home in Puerto Rico,

00:01:14.020 blaming the Trump administration for the squalid conditions that her grandmother is forced to live in.

00:01:18.080 Now, I and plenty of other people pointed out that perhaps AOC herself, being a wealthy and famous politician, 0.96

00:01:25.340 might want to reach into her own pocket and help her poor abuela. 1.00

00:01:30.200 You would think she has more than enough resources to do that. 1.00

00:01:34.020 But we have to understand that AOC has other expenses that she has to attend to.

00:01:39.600 She just bought a Tesla, for example.

00:01:42.340 You know, those those payments can be pretty expensive.

00:01:44.380 And she spends a lot, I'm sure, on organic produce at Whole Foods.

00:01:48.360 Have you ever seen the organic produce section at Whole Foods?

00:01:51.480 Very expensive.

00:01:52.460 She just the point is, she just isn't able to fix her abuela's ceiling, which is currently in the process of collapsing. 0.97

00:01:58.380 That's why she posted a picture of it and blamed Donald Trump for it.

00:02:01.280 And I understand all of that.

00:02:04.640 And I want to help.

00:02:06.240 So today, I'm going to be launching a GoFundMe campaign to help AOC's abuela.

00:02:11.220 And this is totally serious.

00:02:12.760 We're really going to launch this.

00:02:14.520 And I'll be kicking off the effort by donating some of my own money to this effort.

00:02:19.540 You know, I'll have more information about the fundraising drive very soon.

00:02:22.400 But for now, you know, I just want AOC's abuela to know that I care.

00:02:29.040 Even if her granddaughter doesn't.

00:02:32.780 Help is on the way.

00:02:34.680 More on that later on today.

00:02:37.580 Now, on to the topic at hand.

00:02:39.740 As we know, there is an epidemic of violent crime all across the country.

00:02:44.200 This epidemic is really just an extension of a worsening of the epidemic that had already been plaguing many major cities for decades.

00:02:53.220 As Democrats move to defund police departments, release prisoners from jail or keep them out of jail to begin with, many cities are seeing their already existent violent crime problem surge now to terrifying new levels.

00:03:06.200 Selecting just a few examples here.

00:03:08.100 Homicides in Los Angeles are up 44% from 2019 and nearly 27% over 2020.

00:03:15.320 Aggravated assaults and other violent crimes have also seen a precipitous rise.

00:03:20.060 Violent crime in New York is up 22%.

00:03:21.980 In Seattle, they're dealing with their highest homicide rate in over a quarter century.

00:03:25.960 In Chicago, shootings are up 36% over the previous year, and they were really bad the previous year, too.

00:03:34.880 Atlanta, Baltimore, Austin, et cetera, have all seen similar spikes.

00:03:39.180 As incarceration rates go down and the prison population decreases and police departments shrink, violent crime rises.

00:03:48.620 It's almost as if there might be some kind of correlation here.

00:03:53.700 I don't know.

00:03:55.520 Fewer people in prison.

00:03:57.620 Prison population is going down.

00:03:59.860 Fewer police officers.

00:04:01.540 Crime is going up.

00:04:03.960 There's just a lot of dots here that seem to be collecting, and it's almost like you might be able to connect them.

00:04:09.740 I don't know.

00:04:10.080 In fact, there are more dots than that that possibly could be connected, because there's a very specific pattern to some of this stuff.

00:04:20.160 So take just the latest, and this is the latest one, one of the latest ones, the latest random assault against an Asian person.

00:04:26.420 This one was in New York.

00:04:27.980 First, let's play the local news report on the incident, and maybe you can pick up on some of the patterns that are coming to light here.

00:04:34.720 Let's watch.

00:04:35.140 On Monday night, on Memorial Day, a 55-year-old Asian woman was returning from grocery shopping when she was suddenly punched.

00:04:44.620 The victim fell to the ground on her butt and rolled back. 0.93

00:04:47.580 The back of her head hit the outdoor dining frame, and she passed out.

00:04:50.700 Her eye just shut off.

00:04:51.860 Thankfully, Good Samaritan stepped in to tend to the victim and to make sure the attacker did not escape.

00:04:59.220 Police arrested 48-year-old Alexander Wright and charged him with assault as a hate crime.

00:05:04.720 Records show Wright, who was homeless, has been arrested 17 times.

00:05:09.680 A history of alleged violence.

00:05:12.060 A pattern of going right back on the street.

00:05:15.700 So what's the pattern?

00:05:17.540 Well, first of all, there was not a white man committing that assault.

00:05:24.120 Asians are being targeted across the country, but despite what the media might want you to believe,

00:05:28.140 this wave of hate crimes is not being driven by white supremacists.

00:05:32.540 But the other noticeable pattern is that the man had collected arrests, like they're trophies.

00:05:38.420 17 prior arrests, several of them for violent crimes.

00:05:41.940 Yet he ends up back on the street after each crime, never with apparently any intention to stop committing crimes.

00:05:49.820 Just put him back on the street.

00:05:51.840 You know he's going to commit another crime, and he does, and repeat the process forever.

00:05:56.140 This is a violent criminal known to the system as a violent criminal, and yet allowed to remain on the street, victimizing innocent people.

00:06:06.760 And you notice this with most of the attacks we've heard about, these attacks against Asian people.

00:06:12.500 Most of the cases we've heard about, most of the time, it's someone who's been randomly assaulting people for years, like a hobby.

00:06:19.100 We notice this with many of BLM's criminal martyrs, men who had committed one crime after another, and yet were still on the street.

00:06:28.580 So what's the answer to this problem? 0.99

00:06:31.160 Well, not to give her the stage yet again, as I did in my opening monologue yesterday, but it's not my fault that she keeps saying stupid things, so what can I do? 0.74

00:06:40.680 So AOC has an idea, which she explained during a press conference yesterday. 0.70

00:06:45.360 This is her idea for what we can do about all the crime.

00:06:48.440 This is what she says.

00:06:49.780 If we want to reduce violent crime, if we want to reduce the number of people in our jails, the answer is to stop building more of them.

00:06:57.160 The answer is to make sure that we actually build more hospitals, we pay organizers, we get people mental health care and overall health care, employment, etc.

00:07:05.980 It's to support communities, not throw them away.

00:07:08.200 First of all, I will be expecting a press conference like that to thank me for the help that I'll be giving her abuela.

00:07:18.780 I'm not going to hold my breath, but she says the answer to crime is to stop building jails.

00:07:25.340 Sure.

00:07:26.640 Just as the answer to obesity is to stop manufacturing scales, the answer to kidney disease is to tear down the dialysis clinics,

00:07:34.640 the answer to paralysis is to stop making wheelchairs.

00:07:38.200 If you don't have the thing that is meant to address a certain problem, then you no longer have the problem, apparently.

00:07:49.560 I also threw out a bottle of Tylenol yesterday and it cured my headache.

00:07:53.520 It's amazing how this works.

00:07:54.940 The problem, of course, is that in reality, if you have fewer jails and fewer people in jails, the people who would otherwise be in jail have to go somewhere.

00:08:06.400 And in this case, they will go back into their communities where they will become the problem of someone other than AOC or her fellow Democratic lawmakers.

00:08:16.080 Always remember that the people telling us to tear down the jails and the police departments, they are almost every time in nearly every case.

00:08:24.380 People who live in communities where violent crime is not a major issue to begin with.

00:08:29.320 It's easy for them to have compassion for violent criminals because someone else will have to pay the price for their compassion.

00:08:37.480 And you'll notice that about Democratic leftist compassion.

00:08:40.380 This is the way it always goes.

00:08:41.920 Someone suffers because of it and it's not them.

00:08:44.560 Now, true compassion means taking on someone's suffering, sharing in their suffering, suffering alongside them.

00:08:53.480 It means that you, as the compassionate person, are the one suffering alongside the person.

00:09:01.720 But that's not how leftist compassion works.

00:09:05.200 You will suffer for their compassion.

00:09:08.780 Your family pays the price.

00:09:10.680 Your children.

00:09:11.300 They're not alleviating injustice or suffering.

00:09:15.480 They are, at best, transferring it from one place to another.

00:09:20.940 And never onto themselves.

00:09:22.520 Because they're standing off at a safe distance.

00:09:25.760 Only in this case, there is no injustice in sending criminals to jail.

00:09:31.620 There may be some suffering for them, sure.

00:09:34.340 I imagine there's a lot of suffering in jail.

00:09:37.760 But they deserve it.

00:09:41.300 Their suffering is just.

00:09:44.040 If you're a criminal, especially a violent criminal, and you suffer in jail, you deserve it.

00:09:50.440 Your suffering is earned. 0.94

00:09:53.000 I'll even say this.

00:09:54.780 Your suffering is good.

00:09:57.480 It is good for violent criminals to suffer.

00:10:02.820 It's good even for them.

00:10:06.040 Criminals should suffer. 0.99

00:10:07.360 We should make them suffer.

00:10:09.620 They should pay a price for their crimes.

00:10:14.120 No, but what Democrats say is, they shouldn't suffer.

00:10:17.160 You should.

00:10:19.180 This is not compassion.

00:10:20.620 It's sociopathy.

00:10:22.740 So, what's the real answer to violent crime?

00:10:25.900 Well, I mean, what should we really do about it?

00:10:28.480 What policies should we put in place?

00:10:30.380 Well, how about this radical idea?

00:10:33.680 Try to stay with me on this.

00:10:35.940 We could arrest the criminals, put them in prison, and keep them there.

00:10:44.280 Three-step process.

00:10:46.620 I mean, really, it's two steps.

00:10:47.900 Arrest the criminals, put them in prison.

00:10:49.480 And then they stay there.

00:10:52.420 So, you punish them.

00:10:54.460 You make them suffer for their crimes.

00:10:57.140 Make them pay the price.

00:10:59.360 And make the price a steep one.

00:11:02.420 How's that for a novel concept?

00:11:04.180 How is that for reform?

00:11:06.340 You want reform?

00:11:07.480 That's what the reform should be.

00:11:09.680 Now, let's get to our five headlines.

00:11:11.080 Now, we check in with ZipRecruiter.

00:12:25.520 ZipRecruiter, the smartest way to hire. 0.96

00:12:27.240 Okay, and the other big news, of course, is if you're watching the video podcast on YouTube

00:12:36.000 or on Daily Wire, I'm sure you've noticed my wonderful shirt, which says the end is near

00:12:42.820 with a UFO on it.

00:12:44.920 I don't know if you...

00:12:45.500 See, this is why we need the second camera angle, because that really gives you the shot

00:12:49.260 of the shirt.

00:12:49.580 I don't know if you can get it in the main camera, but that's...

00:12:51.680 We should just stay with this camera the entire show just to get the shirt in the shot.

00:12:56.680 Now, my wife bought this shirt for me.

00:13:00.640 She actually bought it for me on her birthday, because she went out shopping on her birthday

00:13:03.760 and she bought me something.

00:13:04.700 I didn't plan that.

00:13:05.760 She just did.

00:13:07.200 And she originally told me, because I said I wanted to wear this shirt on the show,

00:13:11.920 and she told me that I better give her credit for buying it for me.

00:13:15.560 But then she came back a few minutes later and said, well, never mind.

00:13:19.180 I don't want people to think that I agree with you on the alien stuff, because I don't.

00:13:25.500 So she wants that to be made clear.

00:13:28.160 But what would be really funny, though, is if...

00:13:31.820 She doesn't want anyone to think.

00:13:33.240 She wants people to know that the alien thing is all me.

00:13:37.320 It is not shared in the family.

00:13:38.680 It is not a mental illness that the whole family shares.

00:13:42.380 But it would be really funny if people went on Twitter and tagged my wife and said, like,

00:13:49.620 hey, I heard you're a big fan of aliens.

00:13:53.040 I heard you're a big believer.

00:13:54.340 Welcome to the club.

00:13:55.140 That kind of thing.

00:13:56.220 That would be funny.

00:13:58.360 All right.

00:13:59.660 Let's start here.

00:14:00.340 We've got a bunch of headlines today.

00:14:01.380 We might end up with more than five.

00:14:02.660 I don't know.

00:14:03.200 I've got some leftover ones.

00:14:05.080 I want to get through all these before the week is over.

00:14:06.960 So we'll start with this.

00:14:08.060 A pretty big headline, I think.

00:14:09.560 A very important message on mental and physical health that I want to share with you.

00:14:14.440 Well, in fact, the government wanted to share with us, and I'm going to share it with you.

00:14:17.400 This is an important message on mental and physical health from your very own assistant

00:14:21.660 health secretary, who is an expert on both subjects.

00:14:24.960 Listen to this.

00:14:26.480 Throughout my career, I have focused on the intersection between medical, mental, and behavioral

00:14:33.360 health.

00:14:33.860 And as your ash, I will continue that focus and support policy initiatives to improve

00:14:41.700 Americans' physical and mental well-being.

00:14:47.000 There's the message.

00:14:48.980 First of all, as your what?

00:14:52.000 As your... 1.00

00:14:52.740 It sounded like as your ass, but I'm assuming... 1.00

00:14:57.300 What do you want? 1.00

00:14:58.140 Oh, ash.

00:14:58.880 Maybe...

00:14:59.240 Oh, assistant secretary of health.

00:15:01.540 Okay.

00:15:01.920 Well, that makes sense.

00:15:02.320 Anyway, so a person who is a morbidly obese male who identifies as a woman is an expert 1.00

00:15:15.360 now on mental and physical health.

00:15:20.400 Maybe I don't need to go into any greater detail in discussing the irony of this.

00:15:26.820 You can probably fill in the blanks yourself.

00:15:30.680 And we can continue.

00:15:33.060 Next, we have this from the Daily Wire.

00:15:35.560 Former and current female inmates, speaking of prison populations, former and current female

00:15:40.960 inmates from liberal states like California and Washington are speaking out about gender

00:15:44.880 laws which allow biologically male inmates who identify as female to share prison cells

00:15:49.660 with them.

00:15:50.100 One woman recalled sharing...

00:15:53.020 And this gets a little graphic, by the way.

00:15:54.420 It's just a fair warning, but I think everyone needs to know what's going on here.

00:15:59.380 So, a little graphic, but one woman recalled sharing a cell with a man who sustained, quote, 0.86

00:16:05.020 a full erection. 0.72

00:16:06.780 Another noted how female inmates, many victims of past sexual assault, are arming themselves 0.99

00:16:13.060 out of fear of victimization from 300-pound men who, quote, look like Hercules.

00:16:19.960 Those women spoke to Abigail Schreier, author of Irreversible Damage, the Transgender Craze, 0.99

00:16:24.580 Seducing Our Daughters, a book which I read recently and I've talked about on this show, and I would

00:16:28.760 highly recommend that book to everyone.

00:16:32.560 But they spoke with her, and she was talking about their plight.

00:16:36.460 Former inmate Tyrena Griffin told Schreier that, quote, many of the men who are transferring

00:16:40.840 there aren't even on hormonal medication.

00:16:44.140 She told the author, quote, they're getting a full erection.

00:16:46.880 So, you're locked in this room 24-7 with a man, and there's nothing you can do about it.

00:16:51.840 If you tell the police you don't want to live with a man, or you're afraid, or whatever,

00:16:54.980 you'll get a disciplinary infraction.

00:16:57.780 So, you're basically punished for being scared.

00:17:01.980 Another former inmate, Amy Ichikawa, explained that Central California Women's Facility in 1.00

00:17:07.560 Chowchilla does not separate inmates based on severity of crime due to the nature of

00:17:12.540 women's facilities being significantly less violent than men's facilities.

00:17:16.560 So, when biologically male inmates are transferred in, they're mixed with inmates without regard 0.99

00:17:21.920 to the nature of their crime.

00:17:25.040 Ichikawa said, quote, we're all mixed together.

00:17:27.020 The people who've murdered their children are in the same room as the people who've stolen

00:17:30.080 boxers from Walmart.

00:17:31.560 And it's worth reading this report, because it goes into more detail than that, and all

00:17:38.080 of it is absolutely horrifying.

00:17:39.560 Now, I said just a moment ago that prisons are a place of suffering.

00:17:46.700 There's no doubt about that.

00:17:48.920 And that's not a bad thing, because if you're a criminal, you should suffer.

00:17:53.600 I mean, all criminals should suffer, just not to the same degree.

00:17:56.900 I mean, obviously, someone who steals boxers from Walmart isn't going to suffer.

00:18:00.820 It shouldn't be made to suffer in the same way that a violent criminal or murderer should.

00:18:05.880 But there should be a punishment.

00:18:07.700 See, that's the thing with, now I'm kind of backtracking to the other conversation.

00:18:12.380 We'll loop back around in a second.

00:18:13.820 But we have to be clear, and I think we have this muddled idea these days about what prison

00:18:19.360 even is and why it exists in the first place.

00:18:23.760 And I would say that it exists for two reasons, and they're equally as important.

00:18:27.640 One reason is to segregate dangerous people from society.

00:18:33.600 That's part of it.

00:18:34.900 That's really important, especially if you live in one of these communities where these

00:18:38.680 violent criminals tend to also live.

00:18:42.720 But we can't forget the other part of it is punishment.

00:18:47.180 It is an actual punishment.

00:18:48.900 And part of being punished is suffering.

00:18:54.100 And that is good, again, for society.

00:18:56.740 It helps to maintain a properly ordered society.

00:18:59.220 It helps to keep society safe.

00:19:01.740 There's also a deterrent element to it.

00:19:04.060 But it's good for the criminal to have to suffer and to confront the severity of their own crimes.

00:19:11.480 And that's how, if there's any chance of reconciliation, if there's any chance of personal reform,

00:19:16.020 of turning a new leaf, it's not going to happen unless the people who commit these crimes are made to suffer.

00:19:21.780 So that's that.

00:19:26.600 There should be suffering in prison.

00:19:28.960 But there's also a concept of cruel and unusual punishment, which is in our Constitution, and that's a good thing. 1.00

00:19:37.680 Because, as I said, there's a limit, and there are degrees of suffering.

00:19:41.240 And this is all supposed to be calibrated based on the severity of crime and everything.

00:19:47.320 So putting women, many of them not even violent criminals, shoplifters, illegal drug users, and so on, 1.00

00:19:58.320 locking them in cells with these large, violent men for 24 hours a day,

00:20:06.000 that is cruel and unusual punishment.

00:20:08.880 It is unconstitutional.

00:20:11.240 It is a horrifying form of torture and neglect.

00:20:21.240 And these women are being literally silenced. 1.00

00:20:23.520 We hear so much about, well, women are being silenced. 0.99

00:20:26.660 In most cases, that's not the case at all.

00:20:30.760 Most of the women who are out screaming that they're being silenced,

00:20:33.600 well, they're screaming and we hear them, so they're not being silenced.

00:20:37.180 But these women in prison, they are literally being silenced. 1.00

00:20:41.240 As we heard from one of them say, if they speak out against it or if they object,

00:20:46.540 if they say, hey, this is a dude you've just put me in a prison cell with.

00:20:51.440 This is a dude who isn't even making an effort to pretend that he's a woman.

00:20:57.580 If they say that, they get punished for it.

00:20:59.980 If you care, if you really cared at all about, number one, women's rights, 0.98

00:21:06.980 and number two, the unjust suffering and the unjust punishment of criminals,

00:21:15.980 if you cared about any of that or all of it,

00:21:19.400 then you'd be speaking out loudly about this.

00:21:22.160 you'd be holding press conferences about this. 0.93

00:21:27.740 Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, she's not going to say a damn word about this. 1.00

00:21:30.320 Is it because she doesn't know? Oh, she knows. 0.91

00:21:34.100 Is it because she doesn't realize that it's insane

00:21:37.240 to be taking women and putting them in jail cells with 300-pound men?

00:21:44.220 Does she not realize? No, she realizes that it's insane also.

00:21:50.560 Despite how it may seem, most of these Democrats, including Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, 0.67

00:21:56.300 look, they're radical, they're dishonest, 1.00

00:22:00.140 but most of them are not stupid. 1.00

00:22:05.300 It may seem like they are, but at least they're not as dumb as they come across. 1.00

00:22:10.060 They know what they're doing. 0.99

00:22:14.220 And they know that this is wrong,

00:22:16.900 but they're not going to say anything about it

00:22:18.300 because they care more about their ideology

00:22:19.640 than the suffering of anyone, including women.

00:22:24.900 And all of this is based on,

00:22:26.760 you know, we're putting men in women's prisons. 1.00

00:22:30.940 It's based on the honor system.

00:22:33.900 Like, you might as well

00:22:36.000 just have no bars

00:22:38.860 and no walls in the prison

00:22:40.580 and base the entire thing on the honor system.

00:22:44.220 You know, here's your spot

00:22:47.040 where you're supposed to be in jail

00:22:48.220 for the next 27 years.

00:22:50.120 We're not going to have any guards.

00:22:51.300 We're not going to have any walls or anything.

00:22:53.040 Honor system, okay? 1.00

00:22:55.200 I mean, you're a murderer. 0.99

00:22:56.600 I'm sure we can trust 0.99

00:22:58.440 your personal sense of honor and integrity.

00:23:02.080 So on the honor system,

00:23:04.120 they're letting men into women's prisons 1.00

00:23:06.720 because the men claim

00:23:09.040 that they identify as women

00:23:10.420 or really feel deep down

00:23:12.040 that they're women. 0.99

00:23:13.220 There's no way to confirm that.

00:23:15.000 It's just, they said it.

00:23:16.500 And so, oh, who would lie? 1.00

00:23:18.420 This is a murderer and sex offender. 0.99

00:23:22.540 He wouldn't lie about this. 0.99

00:23:25.620 And of course, even if we could confirm

00:23:27.620 that they really do identify as women,

00:23:30.800 that wouldn't make a damn bit of difference

00:23:32.640 because they still don't belong

00:23:33.580 in women's prisons 0.99

00:23:34.140 because they're not women. 1.00

00:23:36.620 But the point is that

00:23:37.660 a lot of these guys,

00:23:39.040 they don't even really identify as women.

00:23:42.440 They identify as far as just saying,

00:23:44.480 oh, yeah, I'm a woman. 0.97

00:23:47.520 In fact, if you're a violent male criminal 0.98

00:23:50.180 in a place like California, 0.92

00:23:51.200 why wouldn't you at this point

00:23:55.180 just come out and say,

00:23:56.180 yeah, yeah, I'm a woman too.

00:23:57.460 Somebody to the women's prison. 1.00

00:24:01.420 That's what a lot of them are doing

00:24:02.480 and we have to respect their self-identity.

00:24:06.340 All right, next.

00:24:06.860 This is from LA Mag.

00:24:08.200 It says,

00:24:08.840 former Southern California Congresswoman Katie Hill

00:24:12.180 has been dealt another blow

00:24:13.340 in her lawsuit against her ex-husband

00:24:14.740 and two media companies

00:24:15.560 for publishing nude photos of her

00:24:17.560 without consent.

00:24:18.900 On Wednesday,

00:24:19.720 Los Angeles Superior Court Judge

00:24:21.160 Yolanda Orozco

00:24:23.280 ordered Hill

00:24:24.200 to pay British tabloid

00:24:25.360 The Daily Mail

00:24:25.940 $103,000 in attorney fees

00:24:28.220 and $1,100 in costs.

00:24:31.140 This follows

00:24:31.720 Orzoko's April ruling

00:24:34.480 to dismiss the mail

00:24:35.520 as a defendant in the case

00:24:36.320 in which Hill sued the paper

00:24:37.400 along with ex-husband

00:24:38.300 Kenny Heslap

00:24:39.400 and conservative media outlet

00:24:40.520 Red State

00:24:40.980 arguing that

00:24:41.620 publishing the compromising photos

00:24:43.720 allegedly provided by Heslap

00:24:45.480 constituted revenge porn

00:24:46.940 which is illegal in 46 states.

00:24:49.560 At the time,

00:24:50.440 the judge declared

00:24:50.980 that Hill's nude image

00:24:52.060 could be published

00:24:52.780 against her will

00:24:53.480 because they were a matter

00:24:54.440 of public issue

00:24:55.140 or public interest

00:24:55.820 which spoke to Hill's character

00:24:57.240 and qualifications

00:24:57.920 for her position.

00:24:59.320 This is actually kind of shocking.

00:25:01.120 This is a judge

00:25:01.940 in California,

00:25:03.160 a Los Angeles judge

00:25:04.080 coming down against

00:25:06.940 a former Democratic lawmaker

00:25:10.940 and a female judge too 1.00

00:25:13.280 who's claiming that she's

00:25:15.660 the victim of a sexist attack 0.94

00:25:17.240 and revenge porn

00:25:17.960 and everything

00:25:18.320 and the judge is saying

00:25:19.480 that Katie Hill

00:25:20.740 has to pay the Daily Mail.

00:25:22.420 The Daily Mail

00:25:22.980 which published the nude photos,

00:25:24.420 Katie Hill has to pay them 1.00

00:25:25.500 a hundred grand

00:25:26.120 rather than the other way around.

00:25:29.480 Is it the right ruling?

00:25:31.000 I would say yes,

00:25:31.860 absolutely.

00:25:34.380 Katie Hill tweeted

00:25:35.440 and said,

00:25:35.820 a judge just ordered me 0.53

00:25:37.020 to pay the Daily Mail

00:25:38.300 more than $100,000

00:25:39.280 for the privilege

00:25:40.100 of them publishing nude photos

00:25:41.520 of me obtained from an abuser.

00:25:43.600 The justice system

00:25:44.480 is broken for victims.

00:25:46.440 Our fight continues.

00:25:47.480 Please chip in if you can.

00:25:48.900 And then, of course,

00:25:49.420 there's a link

00:25:50.080 for the fundraising page.

00:25:52.420 This is another one

00:25:55.620 of the situations

00:25:56.220 where if you want to know

00:25:57.100 what the right thing is,

00:25:58.020 just imagine the same situation

00:26:00.260 but with the identities

00:26:01.360 switched around a little bit.

00:26:03.700 Make a few little minor alterations

00:26:06.040 and imagine that this is

00:26:08.100 a male lawmaker. 0.95

00:26:10.100 Let's make him a Republican also.

00:26:12.200 A male Republican lawmaker

00:26:13.600 who was involved

00:26:15.080 in a sexual relationship

00:26:17.840 with a staffer

00:26:19.960 significantly younger than himself

00:26:21.960 and those photos

00:26:24.380 leaked to the media

00:26:25.540 and were published.

00:26:28.780 Would there be any notion

00:26:31.020 that they shouldn't

00:26:32.800 have been published

00:26:33.320 or that he's the victim now

00:26:35.120 and should be paid money

00:26:36.260 because of it?

00:26:37.820 No, everyone,

00:26:39.400 Katie Hill included,

00:26:40.680 would be saying,

00:26:41.560 no, this is a sex scandal.

00:26:43.220 You're a lawmaker.

00:26:44.780 What you did was unethical

00:26:46.100 at best,

00:26:46.900 if not illegal.

00:26:48.240 And this is the evidence of it

00:26:50.120 and it's public.

00:26:51.540 It's public interest.

00:26:52.860 The public has a right

00:26:53.540 to know that you're doing this.

00:26:55.920 Remember,

00:26:56.760 these are the same people

00:26:58.040 who for years

00:26:59.000 prior to the Katie Hill case

00:27:00.360 had,

00:27:01.900 and this was the whole,

00:27:02.620 really the whole basis

00:27:03.240 of the Me Too movement.

00:27:04.540 They had said that,

00:27:06.120 you know,

00:27:07.540 consent is not just a matter

00:27:09.640 of someone,

00:27:10.620 of both partners

00:27:12.040 agreeing verbally

00:27:13.220 to do a certain thing.

00:27:14.760 What they've told us

00:27:16.080 is that even if you get

00:27:18.160 verbal agreement,

00:27:19.420 it may still be

00:27:20.700 a form of sexual assault

00:27:21.920 because of power dynamics.

00:27:24.360 And so if you have power,

00:27:25.440 if you're in a position

00:27:26.000 of power over someone else

00:27:27.300 and they agree

00:27:28.140 to be involved

00:27:28.660 in a sexual relationship,

00:27:29.640 it can still be rape

00:27:31.140 or sexual assault

00:27:31.960 because they weren't

00:27:33.120 in a position

00:27:33.780 to say no.

00:27:35.360 That's what we were told.

00:27:37.800 Many men

00:27:38.780 have had their lives

00:27:39.640 destroyed,

00:27:40.420 rightly or wrongly,

00:27:41.960 based on that logic.

00:27:44.360 Well,

00:27:45.840 applies here too.

00:27:46.660 by their logic, 0.99

00:27:48.820 Katie Hill's a sexual abuser, 0.99

00:27:50.140 by their logic, 0.99

00:27:50.820 by her logic.

00:27:52.900 And this,

00:27:53.660 these photos

00:27:54.640 were evidence of that.

00:27:56.740 All right,

00:27:57.200 next,

00:27:57.560 the state of Florida

00:27:58.340 is free

00:27:59.760 and open

00:28:00.960 and having a blast,

00:28:02.580 has been for a while,

00:28:03.700 but the left

00:28:05.140 can't admit that.

00:28:06.520 So it's always funny

00:28:07.500 to see the lengths

00:28:08.300 they go to

00:28:08.900 in order to make it seem

00:28:10.000 like Florida

00:28:10.660 is some kind of dystopia.

00:28:13.640 You know,

00:28:13.860 for example,

00:28:14.900 Jimmy Kimmel,

00:28:15.460 and I'm not just saying

00:28:19.140 that,

00:28:19.360 and this is Jimmy Kimmel,

00:28:20.020 right,

00:28:20.080 not Jimmy Fallon.

00:28:20.760 I get them confused.

00:28:21.420 Yeah,

00:28:21.580 Jimmy Kimmel.

00:28:22.440 I'm not just saying this

00:28:23.220 because of his politics,

00:28:24.000 but I have never

00:28:25.460 heard him

00:28:26.820 tell a funny joke.

00:28:28.440 I don't really get

00:28:29.000 the whole Jimmy Kimmel thing.

00:28:31.620 But,

00:28:33.020 here is him

00:28:34.020 on a show last night

00:28:35.000 talking about Florida.

00:28:37.240 And yeah,

00:28:37.620 he's making

00:28:38.200 a quote-unquote joke,

00:28:39.440 but listen now

00:28:40.100 to what he says

00:28:40.820 about Florida.

00:28:41.780 In America's North Korea, 0.93

00:28:43.460 the Sunshine State,

00:28:44.560 from time to time,

00:28:45.160 we enjoy taking

00:28:46.220 a look at

00:28:47.080 what's going on.

00:28:48.020 And tonight,

00:28:48.540 we are doing it again

00:28:49.380 in a Governor DeSantis

00:28:50.640 edition of

00:28:51.360 This Week in Florida.

00:28:55.360 I am proud

00:28:56.400 to be here today

00:28:57.540 in the Everglades

00:28:58.760 as we kick off

00:28:59.800 registration

00:29:00.520 for the 2021

00:29:02.100 Python Challenge.

00:29:04.560 Participants

00:29:05.020 who remove

00:29:05.520 the most pythons

00:29:06.760 and who capture

00:29:07.780 the longest pythons

00:29:09.260 will receive prizes.

00:29:10.980 Unfortunately,

00:29:14.180 all the prizes

00:29:14.820 are pythons,

00:29:15.700 so it's a

00:29:16.320 it's a python-a-thon

00:29:18.620 going on there

00:29:19.440 in Florida.

00:29:21.180 So, I mean,

00:29:21.940 the only joke there

00:29:23.120 is just,

00:29:23.760 oh, look at these

00:29:24.320 hicks.

00:29:25.620 Isn't that funny?

00:29:26.680 What are they doing

00:29:27.260 catching pythons?

00:29:29.740 Well, by the way,

00:29:30.540 just so you know,

00:29:31.740 it's actually,

00:29:32.980 it's not funny.

00:29:34.560 I'm not saying

00:29:35.400 it's not funny.

00:29:35.960 Oh, that's not funny.

00:29:36.740 Like, I'm offended.

00:29:37.380 It's just not funny.

00:29:38.780 It's, uh,

00:29:40.520 they're catching

00:29:41.340 the pythons

00:29:42.000 because pythons

00:29:42.660 are an invasive species,

00:29:44.200 species in the,

00:29:45.080 uh, in the Everglades.

00:29:46.260 And they've been

00:29:47.000 introduced, I guess,

00:29:47.800 by pet owners

00:29:49.060 who got pythons.

00:29:51.140 Why would you ever

00:29:52.000 want a python

00:29:52.800 or a snake

00:29:53.840 of any kind

00:29:54.500 as a pet?

00:29:56.160 I'm not even

00:29:56.880 afraid of,

00:29:57.560 of snakes

00:29:58.540 like I am of spiders.

00:30:00.180 But what,

00:30:00.960 what do they do?

00:30:01.800 They just lie there.

00:30:03.600 What do you,

00:30:04.060 like, what kind of bond

00:30:04.960 are you developing

00:30:05.540 with a snake?

00:30:06.920 But anyway,

00:30:07.360 pet owners,

00:30:07.980 they get the python

00:30:08.660 and realize,

00:30:09.220 hmm, you know,

00:30:11.040 I don't know

00:30:11.340 if this makes

00:30:11.700 the best pet.

00:30:12.800 And they release

00:30:13.500 it out into the wild

00:30:14.300 and now they become

00:30:15.160 an invasive species

00:30:15.960 and are wreaking

00:30:17.400 havoc on the ecosystem.

00:30:19.560 Um, so this is,

00:30:20.640 not only makes sense

00:30:22.260 for them to do this

00:30:22.860 down there in Florida

00:30:23.460 to incentivize people

00:30:24.560 to go out

00:30:24.940 and find these pythons 0.99

00:30:25.920 and destroy them, 0.94

00:30:26.640 but it's also

00:30:27.940 environmentally conscious.

00:30:29.360 It's, uh,

00:30:29.900 it's eco-friendly.

00:30:31.280 Okay, it's about

00:30:31.720 protecting the ecosystem.

00:30:34.060 But before that,

00:30:35.900 Jimmy Kimmel says

00:30:36.920 that Florida

00:30:37.900 is America's

00:30:38.880 North Korea.

00:30:40.400 What?

00:30:41.880 Look, I get these

00:30:43.040 trying to make a joke,

00:30:44.380 but the joke

00:30:45.100 has to have

00:30:46.220 some basis

00:30:47.060 in reality

00:30:48.020 or it's not funny.

00:30:50.060 Um,

00:30:50.300 Florida is America's

00:30:52.200 North Korea.

00:30:53.020 Florida is now

00:30:54.660 and has been

00:30:55.980 the most open

00:30:57.860 and free state

00:30:59.120 in the country.

00:31:01.680 It's open,

00:31:02.680 it's free,

00:31:03.320 people are having

00:31:03.900 a good time.

00:31:06.780 North Korea? 0.67

00:31:08.420 What?

00:31:10.040 No, that would be

00:31:11.160 an analogy

00:31:11.700 that works

00:31:12.280 for states

00:31:12.940 that were locked

00:31:13.720 down for a year

00:31:14.800 and you had to get

00:31:15.860 permission from the government

00:31:16.960 to get,

00:31:17.520 get like a permission slip

00:31:18.620 to go walk your dog

00:31:19.880 outside for 25 minutes.

00:31:21.500 Okay,

00:31:21.700 that would be

00:31:22.300 a North Korea 0.76

00:31:23.060 type situation.

00:31:26.500 Florida is America.

00:31:27.620 That's like saying,

00:31:28.400 it's like saying,

00:31:29.080 um,

00:31:30.340 uh,

00:31:30.820 yeah,

00:31:31.060 you know,

00:31:31.260 I went to Gordon,

00:31:32.080 to Golden Corral

00:31:33.620 the other day.

00:31:34.740 It's like America's 0.98

00:31:36.080 Ethiopia.

00:31:38.000 No,

00:31:38.540 it's,

00:31:38.720 it's the opposite

00:31:39.380 of that.

00:31:40.680 Is that supposed

00:31:41.500 to be the joke?

00:31:42.120 They just can't

00:31:45.600 bring themselves

00:31:46.360 to admit

00:31:47.740 that

00:31:50.200 they,

00:31:51.040 they,

00:31:51.180 they,

00:31:51.560 everything worked

00:31:53.000 out well in Florida.

00:31:55.080 It worked out

00:31:55.960 better than it,

00:31:56.620 than it did

00:31:57.020 in almost any other

00:31:57.680 state.

00:31:58.740 They can't,

00:31:59.680 and they hate that.

00:32:01.520 You know,

00:32:02.020 you have to understand

00:32:02.720 people like Jimmy Kimmel,

00:32:04.260 they are so

00:32:06.600 angry

00:32:07.640 that Florida

00:32:10.140 was not hit

00:32:11.040 as hard as

00:32:11.860 places like New York.

00:32:12.980 They wish

00:32:13.940 that thousands

00:32:15.380 of more Floridians

00:32:16.560 had died.

00:32:17.580 They'd be happy.

00:32:20.760 Okay,

00:32:21.320 and I'm not,

00:32:21.880 this,

00:32:22.100 this,

00:32:22.360 this is just

00:32:23.000 the fact.

00:32:24.760 If,

00:32:25.360 if the coronavirus

00:32:26.060 were to come

00:32:26.620 surging back

00:32:27.620 suddenly in Florida

00:32:28.820 tomorrow,

00:32:29.300 and 20,000

00:32:31.720 people died

00:32:32.500 in two weeks

00:32:33.200 in Florida,

00:32:34.860 Jim,

00:32:35.160 someone like Jimmy,

00:32:35.760 he would be

00:32:36.500 ecstatic.

00:32:38.640 He would have

00:32:39.400 trouble

00:32:39.900 containing his

00:32:40.860 enthusiasm.

00:32:42.680 He wishes

00:32:43.660 that that had

00:32:44.260 happened.

00:32:45.380 And he's so

00:32:46.280 upset that it

00:32:46.920 didn't.

00:32:48.100 That goes for

00:32:48.620 almost everyone

00:32:49.020 else in media too.

00:32:51.620 All right,

00:32:52.180 what else do we

00:32:52.660 got here?

00:32:55.660 All right,

00:32:56.240 I'll mention

00:32:56.780 this as well.

00:32:57.720 This is from

00:32:58.040 the Daily Wire.

00:32:58.640 Also,

00:32:58.980 it says,

00:32:59.280 pop singer

00:32:59.700 Ricky Martin

00:33:00.380 said he,

00:33:01.200 haven't heard

00:33:01.540 much about him

00:33:02.100 in the last

00:33:02.480 20 years or so,

00:33:03.420 but Ricky Martin

00:33:04.960 said he still

00:33:05.480 suffers from PTSD

00:33:06.820 from a 20-year-old

00:33:08.200 interview he did

00:33:08.940 with Barbara Walters

00:33:09.840 in which she

00:33:10.280 inquired about

00:33:10.880 his sexuality.

00:33:12.280 Speaking to

00:33:12.820 people to

00:33:13.360 commemorate the

00:33:13.920 month of June,

00:33:15.120 what some people

00:33:15.620 refer to as

00:33:16.100 Pride Month,

00:33:17.260 the Livin' La Vida

00:33:18.040 Loco singer

00:33:18.660 said he gets a

00:33:19.700 fit of anxiety

00:33:20.740 when he reflects

00:33:21.380 upon the interview

00:33:22.200 with Barbara Walters.

00:33:23.660 Though Ricky Martin

00:33:24.500 openly declared

00:33:25.160 his sexuality in 2010,

00:33:26.440 rumors swirled

00:33:27.280 prior to his coming

00:33:27.980 out.

00:33:30.180 And so he was

00:33:30.980 asked about it,

00:33:31.740 and now he

00:33:32.180 says,

00:33:32.560 when she

00:33:34.360 asked the

00:33:34.900 question,

00:33:35.420 I felt

00:33:35.760 violated because

00:33:36.840 I was just

00:33:37.480 not ready to

00:33:38.020 come out.

00:33:38.480 I was very

00:33:38.900 afraid.

00:33:40.060 There's a

00:33:40.600 little PTSD

00:33:41.520 with that.

00:33:43.400 And I'm only

00:33:44.160 bringing this

00:33:44.780 up because

00:33:45.460 this is

00:33:47.220 something people

00:33:47.740 really need

00:33:48.220 to stop

00:33:48.660 doing.

00:33:50.540 And I've

00:33:51.200 talked many

00:33:52.280 times about

00:33:54.480 how,

00:33:54.960 you know,

00:33:56.900 people use

00:33:57.600 these mental

00:33:58.440 health terms

00:33:59.400 and just

00:34:00.360 throw them

00:34:00.780 around like

00:34:01.260 they're

00:34:01.420 nothing.

00:34:03.940 And that's

00:34:04.860 the same

00:34:05.100 thing with

00:34:05.320 PTSD.

00:34:06.400 People are

00:34:06.880 claiming to

00:34:07.380 have suffered

00:34:07.920 trauma.

00:34:08.640 We've heard

00:34:08.960 it from AOC.

00:34:09.700 She suffered

00:34:10.020 trauma because

00:34:10.560 people trespassed

00:34:13.260 in a building

00:34:13.860 next to her

00:34:14.580 own building.

00:34:17.280 And you hear

00:34:17.780 this kind of

00:34:18.160 phrase a lot.

00:34:18.700 Oh, yeah,

00:34:19.020 I got a little

00:34:19.420 bit of PTSD

00:34:20.080 from that.

00:34:20.920 A little smidge

00:34:21.640 of PTSD.

00:34:22.140 No, that's

00:34:22.520 not how it

00:34:22.880 works.

00:34:23.940 You don't

00:34:24.160 have a little

00:34:24.520 smidge, a

00:34:25.140 little sliver

00:34:25.640 of trauma.

00:34:27.740 Trauma is

00:34:28.320 real.

00:34:29.400 PTSD is

00:34:30.440 real.

00:34:31.620 People can

00:34:32.300 suffer real

00:34:34.060 traumatic events

00:34:35.180 and it can

00:34:36.280 affect them

00:34:36.780 for the rest

00:34:37.300 of their

00:34:37.520 lives.

00:34:38.960 It can

00:34:39.600 alter their

00:34:41.120 minds in

00:34:41.820 such a way

00:34:42.380 that it's

00:34:43.160 permanent

00:34:44.160 scar tissue

00:34:45.360 on the

00:34:45.720 mind.

00:34:47.620 That

00:34:48.260 certainly

00:34:48.760 can happen.

00:34:50.720 And we

00:34:51.460 can all

00:34:51.900 think of

00:34:53.220 many types

00:34:54.000 of legitimately

00:34:55.220 traumatizing

00:34:56.040 events that

00:34:56.520 a person

00:34:56.780 can suffer.

00:34:57.220 a lot

00:34:58.920 of

00:34:59.060 legitimately

00:34:59.620 traumatizing

00:35:00.280 events happen

00:35:00.860 in the

00:35:01.160 context of

00:35:01.660 war.

00:35:01.960 It's why

00:35:02.100 you hear

00:35:02.280 about people

00:35:03.600 coming home

00:35:04.040 from war

00:35:04.440 and suffering

00:35:05.020 PTSD.

00:35:05.620 All of

00:35:05.880 that is

00:35:06.100 real.

00:35:09.140 But

00:35:09.340 every

00:35:11.720 uncomfortable

00:35:12.460 situation is

00:35:13.640 not traumatic.

00:35:15.740 Even if it's

00:35:16.460 really uncomfortable

00:35:17.240 or embarrassing.

00:35:19.800 every time

00:35:23.620 you're made

00:35:24.420 to feel a

00:35:24.980 little bit

00:35:25.280 of pain

00:35:25.900 whether

00:35:26.200 emotional

00:35:26.880 or physical

00:35:27.440 that's not

00:35:28.240 trauma.

00:35:30.880 But of

00:35:31.420 course we're

00:35:31.660 also told

00:35:32.220 that you're

00:35:32.940 never allowed

00:35:33.260 to question

00:35:33.780 anybody's

00:35:34.300 trauma.

00:35:35.080 If someone

00:35:35.440 says they

00:35:35.860 suffered

00:35:36.160 trauma you

00:35:36.640 can't

00:35:36.900 question it.

00:35:38.320 I think

00:35:38.780 you definitely

00:35:39.160 can.

00:35:40.800 Especially if

00:35:41.460 someone comes

00:35:42.040 and announces

00:35:42.780 if they don't

00:35:43.780 announce it

00:35:44.140 it's none of

00:35:44.460 our business

00:35:45.160 but if they

00:35:45.920 announce it

00:35:46.460 and say

00:35:46.760 I suffered

00:35:48.600 trauma.

00:35:49.200 I'm a trauma

00:35:50.040 victim.

00:35:51.400 You have

00:35:51.700 every right

00:35:52.320 to say

00:35:52.700 oh well

00:35:53.060 what happened?

00:35:55.480 And if they

00:35:56.160 tell you

00:35:56.580 I was asked

00:35:57.600 an uncomfortable

00:35:58.260 question

00:35:58.880 or someone

00:36:02.420 said something

00:36:02.980 to me I

00:36:03.300 didn't like

00:36:03.700 if that's

00:36:07.100 the answer

00:36:07.480 I think you

00:36:08.360 are well

00:36:08.620 within your

00:36:08.920 rights to

00:36:09.260 say no

00:36:09.640 you're not

00:36:09.940 traumatized

00:36:10.640 actually.

00:36:11.400 You're not.

00:36:12.220 That's not

00:36:12.740 trauma.

00:36:13.420 You do not

00:36:13.840 get trauma

00:36:14.420 from that.

00:36:16.760 Okay that's

00:36:17.560 called being

00:36:18.060 uncomfortable.

00:36:19.320 It's unfortunate

00:36:20.360 we all go

00:36:21.000 through it.

00:36:21.420 That's not

00:36:21.700 trauma.

00:36:24.040 What you

00:36:24.860 are see

00:36:25.280 this is

00:36:25.620 this is

00:36:26.040 called

00:36:26.240 being weak.

00:36:27.780 Okay.

00:36:28.600 Being unable

00:36:29.620 to deal

00:36:30.220 with uncomfortable

00:36:31.080 situations.

00:36:31.880 That's weakness.

00:36:33.180 You're weak.

00:36:37.280 Being traumatized 0.99

00:36:38.660 by actually

00:36:39.580 traumatic events

00:36:40.520 that's not

00:36:41.340 weakness.

00:36:41.860 That's human.

00:36:42.600 Any human

00:36:43.020 would be.

00:36:45.560 All right.

00:36:45.920 Let's go

00:36:46.540 now to

00:36:47.160 we'll go

00:36:48.120 ahead to

00:36:48.440 reading the

00:36:49.040 YouTube

00:36:49.220 comments.

00:36:51.500 Let's

00:36:51.940 first of

00:36:52.580 all this

00:36:52.760 is Dana

00:36:53.180 says I

00:36:54.360 am one

00:36:54.800 of those

00:36:55.060 women who 0.99

00:36:55.580 was lied

00:36:56.020 to regarding

00:36:56.540 abortion.

00:36:57.200 I had an

00:36:57.460 abortion when

00:36:57.880 I was 18

00:36:58.420 and another

00:36:58.940 when I was

00:36:59.280 21.

00:36:59.860 I was

00:37:00.060 lied to

00:37:00.460 by everyone

00:37:00.900 including my

00:37:01.300 own mother.

00:37:02.600 I don't

00:37:02.760 blame anyone

00:37:03.180 but myself

00:37:03.740 for my own

00:37:04.160 decisions

00:37:04.560 however and I

00:37:05.340 live every

00:37:05.700 day of my

00:37:06.120 life with

00:37:06.520 regret.

00:37:07.840 I pray to

00:37:08.200 God for

00:37:08.560 his forgiveness

00:37:09.040 and to

00:37:09.580 look over

00:37:09.960 the two

00:37:10.920 babies whose

00:37:11.640 lives I

00:37:12.120 needlessly

00:37:12.500 ended.

00:37:13.020 I've since

00:37:13.300 had a

00:37:13.520 daughter who's

00:37:13.920 now a

00:37:14.180 teenager.

00:37:14.660 I've shared

00:37:14.960 my story

00:37:15.360 with her

00:37:15.700 in hopes

00:37:16.080 that she

00:37:16.320 never makes

00:37:16.740 the same

00:37:17.040 mistakes.

00:37:17.840 Thank you

00:37:18.220 for reading

00:37:18.540 my story.

00:37:20.480 Well thank you

00:37:21.080 for sharing

00:37:21.420 it Dana.

00:37:21.860 Speaking of

00:37:22.520 traumatic events

00:37:23.640 this is something

00:37:24.380 that really

00:37:24.740 does this

00:37:25.200 and there

00:37:25.760 are many

00:37:26.040 women who 0.99

00:37:26.500 are suffering

00:37:26.800 this kind

00:37:27.140 of trauma

00:37:27.500 and many

00:37:30.140 women who 0.99

00:37:30.820 as I mentioned

00:37:31.500 yesterday will

00:37:31.980 talk about it

00:37:32.500 like Dana

00:37:32.840 is here but

00:37:34.420 they're not

00:37:35.240 listened to

00:37:35.700 which is

00:37:36.980 another theme

00:37:37.640 on the show.

00:37:41.700 But

00:37:42.100 and this

00:37:45.320 is why

00:37:45.560 when we

00:37:45.800 talk about

00:37:46.380 abortion

00:37:46.860 you know

00:37:48.600 I think

00:37:49.100 the primary

00:37:49.740 villains

00:37:50.340 I point

00:37:52.800 first and

00:37:53.480 foremost

00:37:53.960 and of course

00:37:55.300 we're all

00:37:55.620 we're all

00:37:55.900 responsible for

00:37:56.520 our own

00:37:56.780 actions

00:37:57.160 and whatever

00:37:58.260 we do

00:37:58.640 you know

00:37:59.080 the responsibility

00:38:00.140 comes to us

00:38:00.880 but with abortion

00:38:02.960 you know

00:38:03.520 there is this

00:38:04.220 concerted

00:38:05.400 highly funded

00:38:06.480 effort

00:38:06.940 conspiracy

00:38:08.840 really

00:38:09.380 at the

00:38:10.960 highest

00:38:11.240 levels

00:38:11.580 of society

00:38:12.200 and the

00:38:12.780 abortion

00:38:13.000 industry

00:38:13.320 itself

00:38:13.620 is a

00:38:13.960 billion

00:38:14.220 dollar

00:38:14.500 industry

00:38:14.900 and they

00:38:16.540 put a lot

00:38:17.220 of money

00:38:17.640 and a lot

00:38:18.120 of time

00:38:18.500 and they've

00:38:18.760 gotten very

00:38:19.380 good

00:38:19.840 at exploiting

00:38:21.400 the fears

00:38:22.260 of young

00:38:23.000 women who 0.99

00:38:23.360 go in

00:38:23.700 there

00:38:24.240 and the

00:38:25.700 first thing

00:38:26.180 they tell

00:38:26.660 young women

00:38:27.260 and we

00:38:28.080 heard it

00:38:28.300 from Paxton

00:38:28.800 yesterday

00:38:29.540 who was being

00:38:30.900 celebrated for

00:38:31.520 her bravery

00:38:32.020 for talking

00:38:32.480 about how

00:38:32.820 her life

00:38:33.200 will be

00:38:33.440 over

00:38:33.640 if she

00:38:33.880 has a

00:38:34.120 kid

00:38:34.260 and she'll

00:38:34.440 need to

00:38:34.620 get an

00:38:34.820 abortion

00:38:35.020 if she

00:38:35.240 can't

00:38:35.400 get an

00:38:35.580 abortion

00:38:35.860 then her

00:38:36.440 life is

00:38:36.700 over

00:38:36.840 and as I

00:38:38.480 said I

00:38:38.740 don't

00:38:38.840 really

00:38:39.220 blame her

00:38:40.140 for holding

00:38:40.520 that point

00:38:41.020 of view

00:38:41.240 because she's

00:38:42.040 17-18 years

00:38:43.220 old and this

00:38:43.600 is what she's

00:38:43.960 been told her

00:38:44.400 whole life

00:38:44.780 and probably

00:38:46.120 by her parents

00:38:46.980 as well

00:38:47.400 I would guess

00:38:48.000 could be wrong

00:38:48.520 about that

00:38:48.960 but very

00:38:50.120 powerful forces

00:38:50.840 in society

00:38:51.360 have invested

00:38:52.440 a lot

00:38:52.940 into convincing

00:38:53.640 her of that

00:38:54.220 and so women 1.00

00:38:56.180 go into these

00:38:56.700 clinics and

00:38:57.500 they're given

00:38:58.300 the message

00:38:59.560 they get is

00:39:00.160 one of just

00:39:00.680 total

00:39:01.280 hopelessness

00:39:02.700 and fear

00:39:03.400 they've got

00:39:05.620 all these

00:39:06.160 fears and

00:39:07.920 anxieties

00:39:08.280 already

00:39:08.640 which are

00:39:08.960 understandable

00:39:09.480 especially if

00:39:10.560 you're a

00:39:10.800 young person

00:39:11.520 unmarried

00:39:12.340 you're pregnant 0.99

00:39:12.840 you've got

00:39:15.540 all those

00:39:15.820 fears and

00:39:16.160 anxieties

00:39:16.500 and then

00:39:17.080 you go

00:39:17.320 into the

00:39:17.640 abortion

00:39:17.960 clinic

00:39:18.340 and what

00:39:19.880 do they

00:39:20.060 do

00:39:20.320 they don't

00:39:22.260 try to

00:39:22.480 allay those

00:39:23.020 fears

00:39:23.320 they exploit

00:39:23.960 them

00:39:24.240 they say

00:39:25.700 oh you

00:39:26.160 feel like

00:39:26.820 your life's

00:39:27.240 over

00:39:27.400 because

00:39:27.580 there's

00:39:27.740 pregnancy

00:39:28.020 you're

00:39:28.500 right

00:39:28.800 it is

00:39:29.600 and so

00:39:33.380 for me

00:39:34.120 I point

00:39:34.680 to

00:39:35.000 the

00:39:35.960 responsibility

00:39:36.500 lying

00:39:37.000 first and

00:39:37.360 foremost

00:39:37.580 with

00:39:37.960 the

00:39:38.280 clinics

00:39:38.600 who are

00:39:39.040 exploiting

00:39:39.520 women 1.00

00:39:40.140 like

00:39:40.480 Dana

00:39:40.700 all right

00:39:43.480 let's go

00:39:43.800 now to

00:39:44.320 Evan

00:39:44.700 Evan says

00:39:46.660 only in

00:39:47.080 America

00:39:47.420 can a

00:39:47.800 woman 0.99

00:39:47.960 with the

00:39:48.240 last

00:39:48.460 name

00:39:48.720 Cortez

00:39:49.460 lecture

00:39:49.880 the rest

00:39:50.300 of us

00:39:50.560 for having

00:39:50.880 ancestors

00:39:51.460 who colonized

00:39:52.280 people

00:39:52.640 I always

00:39:53.600 have the

00:39:53.860 same

00:39:54.040 thought

00:39:54.300 whenever

00:39:54.580 Alexandria

00:39:55.100 Cortez

00:39:55.960 comes up

00:39:56.580 but I

00:39:57.500 hesitate

00:39:57.940 to make

00:39:58.420 it

00:39:58.520 because I

00:39:59.000 think

00:39:59.260 Hernan

00:39:59.580 Cortez

00:40:00.080 is one

00:40:00.400 of the

00:40:00.560 greatest

00:40:00.800 heroes

00:40:01.240 of history

00:40:01.740 so I

00:40:02.760 I've been

00:40:03.060 giving

00:40:03.300 AOC

00:40:04.300 way too

00:40:04.700 much

00:40:04.840 credit

00:40:05.140 to draw

00:40:05.560 that

00:40:05.880 connection

00:40:06.540 but he

00:40:11.540 was a

00:40:12.060 colonizer

00:40:12.600 that's

00:40:13.040 for sure

00:40:13.400 there's

00:40:13.560 no doubt

00:40:13.840 about that

00:40:14.360 turns out

00:40:16.220 not all

00:40:16.700 colonizers

00:40:17.280 are bad

00:40:17.740 and when

00:40:19.260 you've got

00:40:19.500 a colonizer

00:40:20.200 a conquistador

00:40:21.160 who is

00:40:24.600 who is

00:40:26.540 defeating

00:40:27.080 a civilization

00:40:28.060 which

00:40:29.780 enslaves

00:40:30.720 and 0.88

00:40:31.000 decapitates 0.89

00:40:33.780 thousands

00:40:35.380 and thousands

00:40:35.940 of innocent

00:40:36.400 people

00:40:36.760 every year

00:40:37.300 that's a

00:40:38.420 good thing

00:40:38.800 the Aztec

00:40:40.880 empire

00:40:41.280 as evil

00:40:43.080 as 1.00

00:40:43.660 the Nazis 0.71

00:40:45.040 they're in

00:40:46.980 that category

00:40:47.740 they didn't

00:40:49.740 kill as many

00:40:50.440 people as 1.00

00:40:50.960 they didn't

00:40:51.160 have the

00:40:51.380 same kind

00:40:51.760 of technology

00:40:52.840 the same

00:40:53.740 capability

00:40:54.260 to do

00:40:54.700 it

00:40:54.940 you know

00:40:56.400 they were

00:40:56.760 killing

00:40:57.020 people by 1.00

00:40:57.840 one at a

00:40:58.540 time

00:40:58.940 laying them

00:40:59.600 down on a

00:41:00.100 stone slab

00:41:00.760 and cutting 0.99

00:41:01.400 their hearts

00:41:01.800 out

00:41:02.080 takes a

00:41:03.840 little bit

00:41:04.100 longer to

00:41:04.560 do

00:41:04.780 but

00:41:05.100 yeah

00:41:07.160 the day

00:41:09.280 that the

00:41:09.580 Aztec empire

00:41:10.240 fell should be

00:41:11.420 one that we

00:41:11.880 celebrate

00:41:12.220 that should

00:41:12.500 be a

00:41:13.280 worldwide

00:41:13.940 global

00:41:14.680 holiday

00:41:15.080 let's see

00:41:19.140 Kyle says

00:41:21.200 Matt

00:41:21.480 what are

00:41:21.740 your thoughts

00:41:22.120 on the

00:41:22.420 legalization

00:41:22.980 of psychedelics

00:41:23.880 like

00:41:24.220 psilocybin

00:41:25.720 I haven't

00:41:26.440 even heard

00:41:26.780 of that

00:41:27.100 what do I

00:41:27.660 think about

00:41:27.900 legalizing it

00:41:28.600 I think

00:41:28.860 that's a

00:41:29.100 terrible

00:41:29.300 idea

00:41:29.780 William says

00:41:33.540 I've never

00:41:33.940 wanted a

00:41:34.360 child because

00:41:35.100 I'm selfish

00:41:35.740 I enjoy

00:41:36.360 free time

00:41:36.900 and the

00:41:37.060 ability to

00:41:37.460 travel a

00:41:37.920 lot but

00:41:38.200 since watching

00:41:38.700 this program

00:41:39.200 more and

00:41:39.680 hearing your

00:41:40.040 beautiful stories

00:41:40.740 and views

00:41:41.100 and fatherhood

00:41:41.540 I will

00:41:42.140 have at

00:41:42.880 least one

00:41:43.260 child

00:41:43.580 well

00:41:43.900 that's

00:41:45.540 encouraging

00:41:45.880 I like

00:41:46.160 hearing things

00:41:46.580 like that

00:41:47.040 but you know

00:41:48.200 something William

00:41:48.940 first of all

00:41:50.540 we're all

00:41:50.880 human beings

00:41:51.600 are selfish

00:41:52.060 naturally

00:41:52.600 and that's

00:41:54.160 an inclination

00:41:56.180 we all have

00:41:56.860 that we have

00:41:57.180 to fight

00:41:57.740 against

00:41:58.260 we don't

00:41:58.680 want to say

00:41:59.540 it's natural

00:42:00.080 and give

00:42:00.480 into it

00:42:00.920 but it's

00:42:01.180 something

00:42:01.360 you have

00:42:01.600 to struggle

00:42:01.960 against

00:42:02.280 and as

00:42:04.320 for men

00:42:05.220 I think

00:42:05.840 you know

00:42:07.020 it's

00:42:07.320 it's

00:42:09.500 it's

00:42:09.720 more

00:42:10.180 sort of

00:42:11.060 natural

00:42:11.480 for young

00:42:12.960 women to 1.00

00:42:13.480 have this

00:42:13.860 deep craving

00:42:14.620 for motherhood

00:42:15.740 and of course

00:42:16.740 they've got

00:42:17.060 they now have

00:42:17.960 society telling

00:42:18.760 them

00:42:18.940 they shouldn't

00:42:19.500 crave that

00:42:19.900 they shouldn't

00:42:20.380 want that

00:42:20.820 instead

00:42:21.100 they should

00:42:21.460 desire

00:42:21.960 you know

00:42:23.020 professional

00:42:23.700 success

00:42:24.240 and they

00:42:25.320 should dream

00:42:25.820 rather than

00:42:26.280 dreaming of

00:42:26.800 having a baby

00:42:27.340 they should

00:42:27.640 dream of

00:42:27.940 sitting in

00:42:28.480 a cubicle

00:42:28.900 because that's

00:42:29.360 the ultimate

00:42:29.760 you know

00:42:31.400 that's the

00:42:32.080 pinnacle of

00:42:32.560 human existence

00:42:33.060 right there

00:42:33.640 but for

00:42:37.280 men

00:42:37.780 you know

00:42:39.540 and there

00:42:40.220 are some

00:42:40.640 men who

00:42:40.980 have grown

00:42:41.480 up desiring

00:42:42.180 that

00:42:42.500 I think

00:42:43.180 there are

00:42:43.380 probably

00:42:43.680 fewer

00:42:44.100 men

00:42:44.440 which is

00:42:48.080 why

00:42:48.500 but

00:42:48.820 and yet

00:42:49.660 it's something

00:42:51.240 that men

00:42:51.580 should do

00:42:51.900 it's something

00:42:52.120 that most

00:42:52.660 men should 0.90

00:42:53.580 do

00:42:53.820 is have

00:42:54.920 kids

00:42:55.160 and be

00:42:55.360 a father

00:42:55.680 that's why

00:42:57.300 I think

00:42:57.460 we need

00:42:57.640 to introduce

00:42:58.120 again

00:42:58.400 this concept

00:42:59.080 of duty

00:43:00.800 of responsibility

00:43:01.920 and as a

00:43:04.260 man you have

00:43:04.680 certain duties

00:43:05.260 and certain

00:43:05.600 responsibilities

00:43:06.200 that you

00:43:08.340 should accept

00:43:09.080 and most

00:43:11.240 men are

00:43:12.100 called

00:43:12.440 not all

00:43:13.000 but most

00:43:13.620 men are

00:43:14.280 called to

00:43:14.780 be husbands

00:43:15.260 and fathers

00:43:15.780 once again

00:43:17.240 I emphasize

00:43:17.660 not all

00:43:18.240 but most

00:43:18.740 that is

00:43:20.640 ultimately

00:43:21.280 where you

00:43:21.780 will find

00:43:23.000 your purpose

00:43:23.400 whether you

00:43:23.760 realize it

00:43:24.220 or not

00:43:24.560 and it's

00:43:25.480 also where

00:43:25.900 you're going

00:43:26.100 to find

00:43:26.400 your fulfillment

00:43:26.940 and your

00:43:27.240 happiness

00:43:27.540 whether you

00:43:28.180 realize it

00:43:28.660 or not

00:43:29.000 and it's

00:43:30.940 hard to

00:43:31.240 realize it

00:43:31.620 because when

00:43:31.900 you're a

00:43:32.140 young guy

00:43:32.740 and if

00:43:33.440 you're living

00:43:33.760 alone or

00:43:34.200 something

00:43:34.520 or if

00:43:34.720 you're living

00:43:34.920 in your

00:43:35.080 parents'

00:43:35.440 house

00:43:35.640 and whatever

00:43:36.580 your whole

00:43:37.620 life is

00:43:38.000 just really

00:43:38.400 self-centered

00:43:38.920 and it's

00:43:39.380 hard to

00:43:39.760 imagine

00:43:40.260 how you

00:43:41.140 could possibly

00:43:41.840 find any

00:43:42.580 enjoyment

00:43:43.500 in living

00:43:44.500 a life

00:43:44.940 of service

00:43:45.540 to another

00:43:45.940 person

00:43:46.300 because that's

00:43:46.680 so foreign 1.00

00:43:47.180 to your

00:43:47.460 own experience

00:43:48.120 but you

00:43:51.860 have to

00:43:52.120 accept that

00:43:52.740 that is

00:43:53.720 the truth

00:43:54.540 and it's

00:43:55.800 a responsibility

00:43:56.300 we have as

00:43:56.920 men

00:43:57.180 and embrace

00:43:57.900 it

00:43:58.580 and then

00:43:59.820 once you're

00:44:00.180 in it

00:44:00.480 you discover

00:44:01.140 that

00:44:01.420 okay

00:44:01.740 this is how

00:44:03.600 you enjoy

00:44:04.160 it

00:44:04.540 it's hard

00:44:05.460 to know

00:44:05.740 until you're

00:44:06.100 in it

00:44:06.540 now checking

00:44:07.800 in with

00:44:08.220 Truebill

00:44:08.920 I tend to be a

00:44:11.120 forgetful person

00:44:11.840 in general

00:44:12.480 and so I have

00:44:13.520 this problem

00:44:14.000 and I know a lot

00:44:14.760 of people do

00:44:15.280 where you sign up

00:44:16.180 for different

00:44:16.540 subscription services

00:44:17.380 and then you

00:44:18.160 forget which

00:44:19.580 you've signed

00:44:20.060 up for

00:44:20.700 along with

00:44:22.040 forgetting your

00:44:22.520 passwords to all

00:44:23.340 that stuff as

00:44:23.960 well so it's

00:44:24.400 just a whole mess

00:44:25.060 that's why you

00:44:26.160 need Truebill

00:44:39.020 forgot about them

00:44:39.520 because you're not

00:44:39.800 using them and

00:44:41.000 that money you

00:45:02.940 actually they spend

00:45:03.420 closer to $200 a

00:46:18.280 journey and we'll no

00:46:19.840 doubt find many people to

00:46:20.900 cancel along the way it

00:46:22.040 starts right where I most

00:46:23.400 want to be up in the sky

00:46:24.560 with the unidentified aerial

00:46:26.280 phenomena otherwise known

00:46:27.460 as UFOs the headlines that

00:46:29.440 we've seen regarding this

00:46:30.160 subject over the past 12

00:46:30.980 hours have been seemingly

00:46:32.100 designed to cause me

00:46:34.620 emotional trauma speaking of

00:46:36.160 trauma here's the New York

00:46:37.900 Times headline quote

00:46:40.100 government report finds

00:46:41.880 no evidence UFOs were

00:46:43.820 alien spacecraft I'm

00:46:46.440 starting to feel some

00:46:47.100 PTSD many other headlines

00:46:49.100 making the same

00:46:49.900 declaration now I want to

00:46:51.080 read a little bit of this

00:46:52.140 Times article to you and

00:46:54.100 please note how the

00:46:55.440 headline is supposedly

00:46:57.200 that there's no evidence

00:46:58.100 of aliens but the real

00:46:59.600 news to me is quite a bit

00:47:01.020 different here's what it

00:47:02.320 says American intelligence

00:47:04.040 officials have found no

00:47:05.120 evidence that aerial

00:47:06.100 phenomena witnessed by

00:47:07.240 Navy pilots in recent

00:47:08.260 years are alien spacecraft but

00:47:10.080 they still cannot explain the

00:47:12.280 unusual movements that have

00:47:13.440 mystified scientists and the

00:47:14.640 military according to senior

00:47:15.860 administration officials

00:47:16.640 briefed on the findings of a

00:47:17.660 highly anticipated government

00:47:18.520 report the report

00:47:20.740 determines that the vast

00:47:21.780 majority of more than 120

00:47:22.880 incidents over the past two

00:47:23.980 decades did not originate from

00:47:25.660 any American military or other

00:47:27.140 advanced US government

00:47:28.080 technology that that

00:47:29.760 determination would appear to

00:47:30.800 eliminate the possibility that

00:47:32.020 Navy pilots who reported

00:47:33.160 seeing unexplained aircraft

00:47:34.520 might have encountered programs

00:47:36.180 the government meant to keep

00:47:37.120 secret but that's about the

00:47:38.840 only conclusive finding in the

00:47:40.380 classified intelligence report

00:47:41.660 and while forthcoming

00:47:42.980 unclassified version expected

00:47:44.240 to be released to Congress by

00:47:45.380 June 25th will present a few

00:47:47.540 other firm conclusions or

00:47:49.240 rather few other firm

00:47:50.280 conclusions senior officials

00:47:52.400 briefed on the intelligence

00:47:54.120 conceded that the very

00:47:55.540 ambiguity of the findings meant

00:47:56.780 the government could not

00:47:57.760 definitively rule out theories

00:47:59.340 that the phenomenon observed by

00:48:01.080 military pilots might be alien 0.98

00:48:02.560 spacecraft

00:48:02.980 okay so what's the real

00:48:06.300 headline here it seems to me

00:48:08.100 the headline is that this

00:48:09.680 technology definitely is not

00:48:11.360 our own our government has no

00:48:13.900 idea where it's from and they

00:48:16.060 can't rule out the possibility

00:48:17.540 that it originates from a

00:48:18.740 different solar system

00:48:19.740 so so no the headline is

00:48:23.540 they've ruled out one

00:48:25.620 explanation and they didn't

00:48:28.360 rule out the alien explanation

00:48:29.640 so we had a few possible

00:48:31.760 explanations for this I don't

00:48:34.140 know three or four one of them

00:48:36.540 is now gone and it's not the

00:48:38.060 alien one is still on the table

00:48:39.540 we're still alive alien

00:48:42.180 believers we're still in

00:48:43.920 business now call me crazy but

00:48:45.900 the government can't rule out

00:48:47.840 possibility that mysterious

00:48:49.000 foreign technology is from

00:48:50.040 outer space is bigger news than

00:48:52.220 the government has no direct

00:48:54.080 evidence of aliens now both are 0.60

00:48:56.120 true of course but the former

00:48:57.220 headline seems to capture the

00:48:58.460 news a little bit better in my

00:48:59.620 opinion now I don't want to

00:49:02.180 focus today on the alien

00:49:03.340 hypothesis only I focused on that

00:49:05.320 plenty I'll continue to give

00:49:06.700 a top give to provide top

00:49:08.980 notch alien content to you in

00:49:10.560 the future as we await the

00:49:12.460 report which by the way I did

00:49:13.980 realize a couple days ago to my

00:49:15.620 horror that if this report comes

00:49:18.660 out on on June 25th I'm not

00:49:21.780 gonna be here I'm going on

00:49:23.560 vacation at the end of the month

00:49:24.720 and I'll be gone for you know like

00:49:27.320 eight or nine days it'd be just my 0.99

00:49:30.120 luck if the damn report comes out 0.98

00:49:31.960 like on the first day of my 0.98

00:49:33.500 vacation because you know if I'm

00:49:36.740 here and the report comes out

00:49:37.740 we're doing a week on aliens oh

00:49:40.340 yes it's happening that'll be just

00:49:45.140 my luck and you know what's gonna

00:49:46.820 we're gonna I'm gonna go on

00:49:47.960 vacation the alien report comes out

00:49:49.420 and I'm gonna have to say to my

00:49:51.020 wife listen I gotta go I have

00:49:53.960 something I need to do and I'm

00:49:56.760 gonna drive back here and leave her 1.00

00:49:58.840 wherever we are so we can talk

00:49:59.960 about aliens I'm sure she'll

00:50:01.660 understand remember like I told

00:50:04.580 you my wife is a big believer in

00:50:06.280 aliens wink wink now anyway for

00:50:10.960 now though just for the sake of

00:50:12.000 argument I want to I want to take

00:50:13.120 into consideration let's just take

00:50:14.500 into consideration this idea that

00:50:16.060 putting aliens aside that the 0.93

00:50:18.080 flying objects may have more

00:50:20.220 earthly origins so going back to the

00:50:21.920 Times article this is what they say

00:50:23.060 about that intelligence officials

00:50:24.860 believe at least some of the aerial

00:50:26.640 phenomena could be experimental

00:50:28.040 technology from a rival power most

00:50:29.920 likely Russia or China one senior

00:50:32.200 official briefed on the

00:50:33.020 intelligence said without hesitation

00:50:34.580 that US officials knew it was not

00:50:36.280 American technology he said there

00:50:38.100 was more there was worry among

00:50:39.280 intelligence and military officials

00:50:40.460 that China or Russia could be

00:50:41.960 experimenting with hypersonic

00:50:43.120 technology Russia has been

00:50:44.820 investing heavily in hypersonics

00:50:46.160 believing the technology offers the

00:50:47.420 ability to evade American missile

00:50:49.500 defense technology China has also

00:50:51.640 developed hypersonic weaponry and

00:50:53.000 included it in military parades if the

00:50:55.140 phenomena were Chinese or Russian

00:50:56.520 aircraft officials said it would

00:50:57.720 suggest the two powers hypersonic

00:51:00.260 research has far outpaced American

00:51:02.460 military development now as much as I

00:51:06.300 hate to admit it it does seem that the

00:51:08.480 China Russia theory is the is is is

00:51:11.460 maybe the more likely more plausible

00:51:14.040 explanation okay now that doesn't make

00:51:18.040 the more entertaining alien hypothesis

00:51:20.180 implausible you know at least it the

00:51:24.780 the Russia China thing is the more 0.92

00:51:26.720 plausible explanation for some of the

00:51:28.440 sightings we should be keep in mind

00:51:30.540 that there have been sightings all

00:51:31.880 over the world so this is not just one

00:51:34.880 thing we're talking about it's not as

00:51:36.500 though every single UFO has to come

00:51:37.980 from the same place whether that be a

00:51:39.520 place on earth or elsewhere but let's

00:51:41.680 really think about the possibility that

00:51:43.320 a foreign country likely an adversary

00:51:45.200 an enemy has developed military

00:51:47.720 technology so advanced that our military

00:51:50.200 has to at least entertain the

00:51:51.560 possibility that it's not even from

00:51:53.240 this planet this all seems to create a

00:51:56.780 rather frightening context for stories

00:51:59.440 like this from the New York Post it

00:52:02.100 says quote the Pentagon defended the

00:52:04.740 military's diversity and inclusion

00:52:06.340 training programs amid a torrent of

00:52:08.100 criticism saying they're essential for

00:52:10.080 recruiting the right people in its duty

00:52:11.780 to defend the nation Pentagon spokesman

00:52:13.280 John Kirby was asked during Tuesday's

00:52:15.380 briefing about GOP lawmakers crafting

00:52:17.180 creating sites urging whistleblowers in

00:52:19.880 the armed services to expose progressive

00:52:21.400 diversity training programs some of which

00:52:23.640 have reportedly deemed white people

00:52:25.000 quote inherently evil so that was the

00:52:27.860 question let's listen now to John Kirby's

00:52:29.600 answer explaining why the military

00:52:31.440 needs to focus on diversity and

00:52:33.840 inclusion and tolerance and equity and

00:52:35.700 why that makes us safer let's listen

00:52:37.460 some Republican lawmakers have been

00:52:40.080 attacking various efforts on the

00:52:41.940 diversity inclusion front in the military

00:52:43.660 complaining about the stand-down early

00:52:45.340 order earlier this spring some have

00:52:47.440 started a system on social media for

00:52:49.540 active duty troops to file complaints

00:52:51.180 about the so-called woke media military

00:52:53.640 what is your observation or comment on

00:52:56.880 that well these are members of Congress

00:53:01.040 Jennifer we respect their rights and

00:53:04.820 their responsibilities we certainly

00:53:06.240 respect the the oversight that the

00:53:08.700 Congress provides I'm not going to

00:53:11.460 comment on any specific one initiative

00:53:14.020 that that members of Congress might be

00:53:17.340 doing I think that's more appropriate for

00:53:18.700 them to speak to what I can speak to is

00:53:21.800 what we're really focused on here at the

00:53:24.620 department and that's defending the

00:53:25.960 nation and that means putting in place

00:53:30.000 the right resources the right strategies

00:53:33.160 the right operational concepts to to do

00:53:35.620 that around the world so diversity and

00:53:39.200 inclusion are essential to defending our

00:53:41.200 nation he says and he's indeed accurately

00:53:43.220 communicating the Defense Department's

00:53:44.560 operating principle in fact as the DOD

00:53:46.320 affiliated website military one source

00:53:48.180 explains in a recent article quote the

00:53:50.300 diverse makeup of the armed forces is

00:53:51.840 one of its greatest assets when

00:53:53.220 service members of different races

00:53:54.400 ethnicities religions sexual 0.53

00:53:55.540 orientations and other identities unite

00:53:57.140 for a common mission the result is a

00:53:58.920 stronger and more effective force to

00:54:00.480 ensure continued progress the DOD has

00:54:02.320 established the independent Defense

00:54:04.320 Advisory Committee on diversity and

00:54:06.020 inclusion in the armed forces this

00:54:08.160 committee will continue the work of

00:54:09.520 examining any and all issues that will

00:54:11.600 improve equal opportunity diversity and

00:54:14.300 inclusion the military diverse and

00:54:16.240 inclusive ranks are essential to morale

00:54:18.160 force cohesion and readiness now as

00:54:21.700 always there is no attempt to provide

00:54:24.840 evidence supporting the assertion that a

00:54:27.580 diverse and inclusive military is more

00:54:29.020 effective whenever anyone in a position

00:54:31.040 of authority is put on the spot about

00:54:32.440 this they always dissemble the

00:54:34.160 obfuscate as the Pentagon spokesman did

00:54:36.480 in the clip we just played they start

00:54:38.660 talking about how the military needs to

00:54:40.740 find the best people for the job etc and

00:54:43.460 yeah they do that's the point but what

00:54:46.040 they don't explain is how the military

00:54:47.540 finds the most talented and competent

00:54:49.180 people for the job by hiring and

00:54:51.380 recruiting based on something other than

00:54:53.420 talent and competence if you care more

00:54:56.940 about finding the best people then you

00:55:00.280 would simply recruit and train the best

00:55:02.420 people whatever they look like whatever

00:55:04.080 sex they might be if you end up with a 0.91

00:55:06.640 diverse military as a byproduct of your

00:55:08.980 focus on skill and competence then great if

00:55:12.520 you let's say end up with a military

00:55:14.800 comprised almost entirely of straight men

00:55:16.920 that's great too however it shakes out is

00:55:20.220 fine because the people you have on board

00:55:22.920 are the best of the best diversity again

00:55:25.020 should be a byproduct if anything not the

00:55:27.980 goal not a litmus test but that's not how

00:55:32.120 our military's top brass see it they're

00:55:35.400 putting out ads featuring sorority girls 0.84

00:55:37.400 with lesbian moms and the CIA is bragging 1.00

00:55:39.740 about hiring women with anxiety disorders 0.97

00:55:41.600 and they're sending military members and

00:55:43.660 intelligence officers to mandatory

00:55:44.880 sensitivity training courses and critical

00:55:46.420 race theory brainwashing sessions because

00:55:48.360 they believe that the ultimate mission of

00:55:50.260 these institutions is to support progressive

00:55:52.760 social causes that's what they believe

00:55:54.700 meanwhile China and Russia are finding the

00:55:58.700 very best and toughest people that their

00:56:00.600 nations have to offer and setting them to

00:56:02.980 the task of defending their country and

00:56:05.360 expanding their empires and even

00:56:07.460 potentially developing technology that

00:56:09.780 looks like it's from another galaxy in

00:56:13.080 comparison with that we are committing an

00:56:15.960 act of national suicide we're not the first

00:56:19.820 nation to kill itself but we may be the

00:56:22.700 first to do it so intentionally and 0.78

00:56:24.900 abruptly and quickly and through such

00:56:28.040 bizarre means in short I would like to once

00:56:34.120 again send out a plea to the aliens to take 0.99

00:56:37.500 me with you before you leave to go back to

00:56:39.780 your home planet because I know eventually

00:56:42.020 you're leaving because you're you gotta be 0.96

00:56:44.680 sick of this and please allow my wife and 1.00

00:56:47.040 kids to come to I haven't consulted them about

00:56:49.520 this but I think they'll adjust and ultimately

00:56:51.860 they'll thank me for it and everyone would be

00:56:53.780 better off as for who I'm canceling well I

00:56:59.620 guess the Pentagon the media for continuing

00:57:02.880 to doubt the alien hypothesis just canceling

00:57:06.120 everyone which is which is how I like to

00:57:07.900 end every week on a Friday and we'll leave

00:57:10.940 it there thanks for watching thanks for
