The Matt Walsh Show - Ep. 839 - 'Diversity' Is Code For 'Go To Hell, Whitey'

00:00:00.400 Today on the Matt Wall Show, the Marine Corps hires a chief diversity officer as it moves towards its goal of creating a more diverse, equitable and tolerant force.

00:00:09.420 That's the way they're selling it anyway. But today we'll talk about what that really means.

00:00:12.520 Also, Kamala Harris is upset that she doesn't have enough to do as vice president. 1.00

00:00:16.140 And now her team is apparently accusing Joe Biden's team of racism.

00:00:19.800 Who could have possibly seen that coming?

00:00:21.760 Plus, a Michigan school is forced to shut down because a large number of staff members have an adverse reaction to the COVID booster.

00:00:27.880 That's pretty inconvenient. And as we discussed on Friday, a college professor is on a campaign to de-stigmatize pedophiles.

00:00:33.740 The college has responded to the outrage and Britney Spears is free.

00:00:37.660 Should we celebrate? Should we care at all?

00:00:39.460 We'll talk about that and so much more today on the Matt Wall Show.

00:00:50.980 Now, a quick word from Moink. 1.00

00:02:07.420 The Washington Post reports that China is currently in the process of modernizing

00:02:12.500 and diversifying its fleet of nuclear warheads.

00:02:16.020 The Defense Department now expects that China's arsenal will have quadrupled

00:02:19.140 within the next decade.

00:02:20.120 By 2030, the Communist nation should have more than 1,000 nuclear warheads.

00:02:25.320 Among them will be a certain number of hypersonic orbital missiles,

00:02:28.300 which can circle the globe without being detected.

00:02:30.400 And, of course, that's not new technology,

00:02:32.620 and China still will have fewer nuclear weapons than we do.

00:02:35.720 I mean, enough to destroy the entire planet, so probably that's sufficient.

00:02:40.320 But we'll still have more.

00:02:41.540 But the point, though, is that they seem focused on strengthening their position

00:02:45.500 and becoming a more formidable global force.

00:02:49.240 While we have, well, other priorities.

00:02:52.340 In an interview with NPR, General David Berger announced that the Marine Corps

00:02:56.860 will be overhauling and reinventing itself in order to institute more diversity.

00:03:01.260 Not nuclear diversity, but the type of diversity that politically correct HR representatives

00:03:05.860 are worried about.

00:03:07.320 Reading from Yahoo News, it says, according to Berger,

00:03:10.220 Marines will work to, quote, reflect America, to reflect the society we come from.

00:03:15.060 Adding that the decision is not one related to being woke or politically correct.

00:03:18.980 Sure, whatever you say.

00:03:20.760 Quote, our advantage militarily is on top of our shoulders, Berger said.

00:03:24.380 It's not actually our equipment.

00:03:26.000 We are better than anybody else, primarily because we don't all think exactly alike.

00:03:30.180 We didn't come from the same backgrounds.

00:03:33.320 Now, far be it for me, it's a question, the esteemed general.

00:03:36.800 I didn't serve in the military.

00:03:39.000 I never fought in any war.

00:03:40.520 I admit that.

00:03:42.000 Even so, I'm skeptical that any military engagement has ever been won due to a, 0.99

00:03:47.800 due to, you know, diversity of ethnic backgrounds among the victors.

00:03:52.200 Can anybody point me to an example from military history of a battle that was won

00:03:57.520 because of diversity?

00:04:00.620 I'm trying to imagine back, say, during the Normandy invasion, a group of soldiers pinned down,

00:04:05.800 taking heavy enemy fire.

00:04:08.040 One of them shouts, we need someone with a diverse ethnic background over here.

00:04:11.340 Stat!

00:04:12.700 It's hard for me to picture that.

00:04:14.740 You know, I can't see why that would have specifically helped.

00:04:18.140 But the Marines are all in on their diversity plan anyway.

00:04:22.580 In fact, as Fox News reports, they're paying big bucks to make this happen.

00:04:26.920 Quote from the report,

00:04:28.080 A job listing with the U.S. Marine Corps seeking a diversity, equity, and inclusion advisor

00:04:33.380 with a starting salary of $144,000 is gaining attention on social media.

00:04:38.260 The USMC is hiring the advisor to ensure that, quote,

00:04:40.780 all internal and external communications reflect diversity, equity, and inclusion, or DEI,

00:04:47.060 and to develop tools that enable shifting the USMC cultural paradigm for diversity, equity, and inclusion.

00:04:52.520 The DEI advisor will work in collaboration with the chief diversity officer and the diversity review board.

00:04:59.000 The listing states, duties include the assessment of diversity and inclusion program effectiveness,

00:05:05.800 design and lead implementation of process improvement initiatives,

00:05:09.700 and provide executive level consultation.

00:05:12.960 I don't know what any of that means.

00:05:14.140 As well as the development and administering of training and education guidance to the CDO.

00:05:19.680 It says, quote,

00:05:20.300 You will drive strategic management concepts and principles,

00:05:23.340 including assisting with the development of Marine Corps policy,

00:05:26.220 supporting the USMC's mission, vision, values, strategic goals, and objectives,

00:05:30.140 according to the listing.

00:05:31.860 Now, needless to say, $144,000 a year is significantly more

00:05:36.580 than any of the men out actually doing the fighting are getting paid.

00:05:41.260 So, risk your life for your country and get paid about the same as,

00:05:45.200 I don't know, Papa John's shift supervisor or less,

00:05:49.480 but sit behind a desk developing equity and inclusion strategies,

00:05:52.940 and, you know, that's where the big bucks are made.

00:05:56.120 At any rate, if you want more information on our military's diversity plans,

00:06:00.500 you'll be happy to know that you can go to the Marine Corps Association website

00:06:03.860 and download their full diversity, equity, and inclusion plan,

00:06:07.780 as written by Lieutenant General David Audignan and Brigadier General Jason Woodworth.

00:06:13.160 Here you'll find details about what this chief diversity officer will do,

00:06:17.460 and you can learn about the formation of the aforementioned diversity review board,

00:06:21.400 which the Marines will be using as they strive to achieve their diversity goals.

00:06:26.120 And this is not just about racial diversity, of course.

00:06:28.080 As they explain, quote,

00:06:29.980 Today's Marine Corps is 58% white and 42% minority.

00:06:33.860 From 2010 to 2020, enlisted diversity grew from 33% to over 45%,

00:06:38.540 and our officer diversity grew from 16% to 34%.

00:06:41.420 Female diversity continues to climb each year and is currently over 9%. 0.88

00:06:46.140 These are signs that we are making positive progress,

00:06:49.080 but much work remains to be done to retain and promote

00:06:52.160 a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive force across all ranks.

00:06:55.760 Now, again, we must ask the question from before.

00:07:01.080 In the whole history of military conflict across the entire globe,

00:07:05.760 has there ever been a battle won because one side was more inclusive and equitable than the other?

00:07:12.840 I don't think so.

00:07:15.160 In fact, battles have been won with the exact opposite approach.

00:07:18.160 Rather than diversity, militaries have always valued cohesiveness, uniformity.

00:07:27.620 That's why units march in formation.

00:07:30.000 That's why we call them units.

00:07:32.200 It's why they literally wear things called uniforms.

00:07:36.060 Individuality has never been emphasized.

00:07:39.380 Instead, it's been subordinated,

00:07:41.660 ruthlessly sometimes, to the needs of the unit, the group, the whole.

00:07:45.360 As for inclusiveness and equity,

00:07:48.200 our military was a formidable fighting force,

00:07:51.020 a two-time world champion,

00:07:52.900 because it set standards for itself that excluded those who were unfit,

00:07:57.940 those who couldn't hack it.

00:07:59.760 The military has never been a democracy.

00:08:02.600 It's never been a place for individual expression.

00:08:06.180 It has never been a beacon of tolerance or equality.

00:08:09.740 The military is a hierarchy.

00:08:12.000 All militaries are hierarchies.

00:08:13.500 There is no equality or equity in a hierarchy.

00:08:16.900 There can't be.

00:08:18.100 There's never been a democratic military.

00:08:20.820 There's never been a tolerant military.

00:08:23.500 There's never been anything like what they are currently turning it into right now.

00:08:28.160 So once again, we see that the left's project

00:08:30.180 is to demolish, deconstruct,

00:08:33.240 and fundamentally rebuild and redefine everything.

00:08:36.340 Every American institution,

00:08:37.840 every organization,

00:08:38.940 every tradition,

00:08:39.560 every word,

00:08:40.960 every idea,

00:08:42.180 terms like politically correct and woke

00:08:44.980 don't really even begin to capture

00:08:47.660 what's actually happening in our country

00:08:49.280 and what these people intend to do to it.

00:08:53.520 One other point worth reiterating.

00:08:55.960 It's important when we engage with these ideas

00:08:58.160 like diversity and inclusion

00:08:59.600 that we don't make the mistake of accepting the premise

00:09:01.660 that the left actually wants diversity and inclusion.

00:09:04.340 I mean, that would be bad enough

00:09:06.360 if that is what they wanted.

00:09:07.420 Diversity and inclusion are terrible goals 0.99

00:09:10.040 in and of themselves,

00:09:11.200 especially for a military,

00:09:13.420 but really for any institution.

00:09:15.780 Diversity and inclusion should never be the priority. 1.00

00:09:18.360 And if they were the real priorities here,

00:09:20.160 there would be plenty to criticize about that.

00:09:22.520 But we should also keep in mind

00:09:23.660 that all of these words,

00:09:25.100 diversity, inclusion, equity, tolerance, etc.,

00:09:27.280 they are all code for 0.99

00:09:28.980 get rid of white males. 0.99

00:09:31.860 I mean, that's really what this is about. 0.99

00:09:34.480 After all, when they talk about

00:09:35.600 increasing the percentages of some demographics,

00:09:38.980 you know, demographics that are not white and male,

00:09:42.420 what that means is reducing the percentage of white males.

00:09:46.100 Just basic math there.

00:09:48.160 The goal of the military right now

00:09:49.760 is not just to get more black people and women involved,

00:09:53.440 because if the participation rates of blacks and women grew

00:09:58.020 and the participation of white males grew

00:09:59.900 at the same time and at the same rate,

00:10:01.680 you wouldn't see an increase in the former group

00:10:04.340 in terms of percentage.

00:10:06.160 But they're talking about percentage,

00:10:07.920 which means that the military very specifically 0.98

00:10:10.280 wants to drive white males out. 0.99

00:10:14.060 So they frame it in a positive way. 0.81

00:10:16.640 Oh, we want a greater percentage of this group.

00:10:19.900 But they could just as easily say,

00:10:22.220 we want fewer of this group.

00:10:24.120 We want fewer of those types.

00:10:28.040 And, you know, the very group that's done

00:10:29.900 most of the fighting and dying for this country,

00:10:32.080 the military wants them gone.

00:10:34.120 Thank you for your service.

00:10:35.440 Now get out. 0.57

00:10:36.040 This point is often made pretty explicit

00:10:39.500 when the topic of diversity comes up.

00:10:41.340 Take, for instance, this conversation

00:10:42.920 on MSNBC over the weekend about,

00:10:45.580 now this isn't diversity in the military,

00:10:47.160 this is diversity in the trucking industry.

00:10:50.000 And they've made it very clear

00:10:51.380 what they're really concerned about.

00:10:53.080 Listen.

00:10:54.200 You hear, I have to tell you,

00:10:55.080 my brother is a truck driver

00:10:56.500 and he drives across the country.

00:10:58.800 And it's very nerve wracking to me

00:11:00.940 when he's on the road

00:11:02.580 because it's just,

00:11:04.880 it feels like a dangerous industry.

00:11:06.320 But you're trying to disrupt that

00:11:07.840 and bring more people

00:11:08.740 who look like us to the industry.

00:11:10.180 Tell us why.

00:11:11.680 Yes, ma'am.

00:11:12.240 First of all,

00:11:12.800 thank you for having me this morning.

00:11:14.660 And yes, we are.

00:11:15.840 And we say we're not building truck drivers,

00:11:18.000 but safe CMV operators,

00:11:19.900 folks that can get back to their home

00:11:21.800 whenever they're done with their ship.

00:11:23.960 That's the most important part, ma'am.

00:11:26.740 Well, how can the industry be more welcoming?

00:11:28.920 Because I have to tell you,

00:11:29.560 I talked to a lot of truck drivers

00:11:30.800 and preparing for this segment.

00:11:33.100 And most of these truck drivers

00:11:34.660 are people of color.

00:11:35.620 And they talked about,

00:11:36.920 you know,

00:11:38.040 hearing some of the racism over the CB.

00:11:42.240 You know, this is, again,

00:11:43.380 an industry populated

00:11:44.420 by a lot of white men

00:11:46.300 over the age of 55.

00:11:47.940 This group of people

00:11:48.920 overwhelmingly voted for Trump.

00:11:51.420 Some people have talked about,

00:11:52.680 you know, aggressive truck drivers

00:11:54.220 cutting them off

00:11:55.600 or not being helpful.

00:11:57.360 So obviously,

00:11:58.240 the more populated it is

00:11:59.180 with people of color,

00:11:59.800 I think you'll see less of that.

00:12:01.100 But how can you encourage people

00:12:02.440 to come and disrupt this space

00:12:03.800 when it seems a bit unwelcoming?

00:12:06.680 Well, I think just what you're doing,

00:12:08.740 getting myself

00:12:10.240 as a black female out there 1.00

00:12:12.040 and letting people know

00:12:13.060 I drove for almost eight years

00:12:14.500 and, yes,

00:12:15.700 ran into lots of racism,

00:12:17.240 but, however,

00:12:18.080 was out there to do my job.

00:12:20.080 And I think that women 1.00

00:12:21.460 are definitely,

00:12:22.440 the more we can

00:12:23.440 just get the news out to them

00:12:25.440 that trucking is an industry

00:12:26.780 that will not only help them

00:12:28.580 to get further in life

00:12:29.560 with their family

00:12:30.340 and all of that

00:12:31.140 and present the package

00:12:32.280 to them appropriately,

00:12:33.760 regardless of what anybody else

00:12:35.100 has to say,

00:12:35.920 they're going to be in charge.

00:12:37.420 They're going to be the person

00:12:38.180 behind that steering wheel

00:12:39.280 doing the job

00:12:40.160 every single day

00:12:41.140 and making it happen.

00:12:43.680 Just out-and-out racism.

00:12:46.220 I mean, we're used to it by now.

00:12:48.060 You picked up, of course,

00:12:49.240 where she said,

00:12:50.480 well, there's a lot of white males

00:12:52.040 over 55

00:12:52.940 and people complain about

00:12:54.300 they're sometimes aggressive

00:12:55.840 and rude,

00:12:56.460 and so, obviously,

00:12:57.360 if we have more people of color 0.97

00:12:59.140 as truck drivers,

00:13:00.580 there will be less

00:13:01.440 of that kind of behavior.

00:13:04.840 Right?

00:13:05.160 Oh, yeah, well, obviously, 1.00

00:13:06.300 white people are more rude 1.00

00:13:07.280 and aggressive, she says. 1.00

00:13:08.500 Really?

00:13:08.820 Do you have any data on that?

00:13:11.860 Let me see the statistics on that.

00:13:15.260 But, yes,

00:13:16.200 this is why women 1.00

00:13:17.480 haven't flocked

00:13:18.480 to the trucking industry.

00:13:20.560 Every day,

00:13:21.360 I meet another woman

00:13:22.180 whose deepest desire

00:13:23.380 is to be a long-haul trucker

00:13:25.220 driving a big rig

00:13:26.540 across the country,

00:13:27.680 spending her night

00:13:28.420 sleeping in the cab

00:13:29.440 in the back of a Walmart parking lot,

00:13:31.300 showering in gas stations.

00:13:33.800 Now, this is what

00:13:34.760 they most fervently want,

00:13:37.160 but they aren't doing it

00:13:38.180 because the trucking industry

00:13:39.560 is sexist. 0.55

00:13:41.180 I mean, like I said,

00:13:42.420 every day I meet another woman 0.91

00:13:43.560 with that story.

00:13:44.200 Don't you?

00:13:46.940 What I really wanted to be

00:13:48.000 was a long-haul trucker,

00:13:49.160 they all say.

00:13:49.860 My wife, too.

00:13:52.740 She tells me all the time

00:13:53.600 what she always wanted

00:13:55.820 as a young girl

00:13:56.480 was to, you know,

00:13:57.240 get in that truck,

00:13:58.220 drive across the desert.

00:14:00.120 Now, the MSNBC anchor

00:14:01.440 speaks with disdain

00:14:02.680 about those white males

00:14:04.340 over 55 who drive trucks,

00:14:06.020 the ones who make sure

00:14:07.260 that she has food to eat

00:14:08.440 and clothes to wear.

00:14:10.380 I mean, her lifestyle

00:14:11.140 depends on those men, 0.65

00:14:12.620 but she hates them.

00:14:13.980 Rather than saying thank you,

00:14:16.280 which is what you should be,

00:14:17.260 that's what you're missing here.

00:14:18.220 You see, a lot of people

00:14:20.180 on the left

00:14:20.560 never had parents

00:14:21.960 to tell them,

00:14:22.640 what do you say?

00:14:23.200 You say thank you.

00:14:23.980 I say this with my kids

00:14:25.000 all the time.

00:14:26.020 You know, I hand them a snack.

00:14:26.940 I hand them what I,

00:14:27.560 what do you say?

00:14:28.720 Thank you.

00:14:30.920 Well, to this MSNBC anchor,

00:14:32.480 what do you say?

00:14:33.360 You say thank you

00:14:34.240 to the white males

00:14:35.060 who are making your life easier,

00:14:38.480 who are allowing you to live

00:14:39.640 by providing all of these things

00:14:41.300 to you.

00:14:44.660 But rather than saying thank you,

00:14:46.180 she wants them,

00:14:47.300 she wants them gone.

00:14:48.160 She wants them jobless 1.00

00:14:49.220 and homeless.

00:14:50.340 That's how she feels.

00:14:52.120 That's what all this diversity

00:14:53.540 and inclusion stuff

00:14:54.460 is really about.

00:14:55.080 It's an anti-white male conspiracy, 0.94

00:14:57.720 first and foremost. 0.96

00:14:59.880 And in the process,

00:15:00.860 it strips people

00:15:01.560 of their humanity

00:15:02.240 and it reduces them

00:15:03.100 to statistics.

00:15:04.720 A white person driving a truck 0.95

00:15:06.260 is not a person,

00:15:07.340 according to MSNBC.

00:15:08.500 He is a faceless representative

00:15:10.040 for his race,

00:15:11.200 which is running a surplus.

00:15:13.400 You know,

00:15:13.540 the white person's supply

00:15:14.940 exceeds the white person demand.

00:15:17.300 At least according

00:15:17.960 to the corporate media.

00:15:19.220 There must be a white person 0.99

00:15:20.700 clearance sale

00:15:21.420 so that we can

00:15:21.980 clean our shelves

00:15:23.020 and restock them

00:15:24.060 with more valuable

00:15:25.420 racial merchandise.

00:15:27.880 This is essentially

00:15:28.780 how our social engineers

00:15:29.840 view the problem.

00:15:31.520 Which is only a problem

00:15:32.740 in the first place

00:15:33.480 because they've decided

00:15:34.440 to call it one.

00:15:36.540 You know,

00:15:37.000 the problem of there being

00:15:38.380 a lot of white males

00:15:39.140 over 55 driving trucks,

00:15:41.320 it's not a problem at all.

00:15:43.580 But they've decided

00:15:44.620 that it's a problem.

00:15:47.380 But if we're really worried

00:15:48.700 about fighting racism

00:15:49.980 and inequality,

00:15:50.980 then the goal

00:15:52.620 should be a society

00:15:53.740 where a person

00:15:54.620 can live where they want,

00:15:57.980 work where they want

00:15:59.480 if they're qualified,

00:16:00.400 pursue whatever opportunity

00:16:01.820 they want,

00:16:03.200 go to school

00:16:04.040 where they want.

00:16:05.200 Again,

00:16:05.720 if they qualify

00:16:06.360 on the merits

00:16:06.860 to go to school

00:16:07.300 without anyone

00:16:08.600 caring about

00:16:09.540 their skin color

00:16:10.260 or their ethnic background.

00:16:13.080 You know,

00:16:13.680 in this scenario,

00:16:14.800 a man would be judged

00:16:15.740 on his merits alone

00:16:16.820 and he would climb

00:16:17.540 as far in life

00:16:18.320 as those merits

00:16:18.940 will take him.

00:16:20.320 But that's not

00:16:21.220 how our society operates

00:16:22.660 because that's not

00:16:23.800 what the proponents

00:16:24.460 of forced diversity want.

00:16:26.920 They want division,

00:16:28.540 resentment,

00:16:29.160 and racism

00:16:29.820 and that's what

00:16:31.200 they've gotten.

00:16:32.800 Now let's get

00:16:33.480 to our five headlines.

00:17:45.040 Oh man,

00:17:45.440 I'm in a tough spot.

00:17:46.340 It's,

00:17:46.700 what is it,

00:17:47.300 November,

00:17:47.980 what is it,

00:17:48.360 November 15th?

00:17:50.060 So guess where I was

00:17:50.860 on Saturday.

00:17:51.540 I was walking around

00:17:52.520 a Christmas store

00:17:53.560 looking at Christmas decorations

00:17:55.500 and we were taking,

00:17:57.860 and the kids were,

00:17:58.640 you know,

00:17:58.920 we took the kids

00:17:59.560 to see Santa

00:18:00.260 in mid-November.

00:18:03.260 My wife's already said

00:18:04.400 that the whole house

00:18:05.180 is going to be decorated

00:18:05.900 this week.

00:18:06.880 She was threatening 0.78

00:18:07.620 to do it today actually,

00:18:08.640 so I might come home

00:18:09.280 and the whole house

00:18:09.740 is decorated for Christmas.

00:18:11.140 It's of course way too early

00:18:12.560 to be doing any of this,

00:18:14.600 but it's my fault

00:18:16.460 because I told my wife

00:18:18.940 a few months ago

00:18:19.720 that the twins

00:18:20.840 are now at the age

00:18:22.860 where,

00:18:23.520 and I'm trying to be,

00:18:24.820 put this carefully

00:18:25.680 and be delicate

00:18:26.260 because I don't know

00:18:26.820 if there's any young ears

00:18:27.740 listening right now,

00:18:29.980 but the twins,

00:18:31.140 what I was saying to my wife

00:18:31.860 a few months ago,

00:18:32.380 the twins are at an age

00:18:33.420 where it might be time

00:18:34.560 to have a difficult conversation

00:18:36.240 about Santa Claus with them

00:18:38.720 and I wanted to do it

00:18:40.500 right then on the spot.

00:18:42.480 I told my,

00:18:42.920 you know,

00:18:43.100 again,

00:18:43.360 I probably,

00:18:45.640 this was probably too sudden,

00:18:47.360 but, you know,

00:18:47.660 the kids were in the other room

00:18:48.420 and I said this to my wife

00:18:49.340 and I said,

00:18:49.760 I'm going right now.

00:18:50.780 This is happening.

00:18:51.580 We're doing this right now.

00:18:53.020 Ripping the Band-Aid off.

00:18:54.820 And she pleaded with me

00:18:56.620 and she was saying,

00:18:57.380 you know,

00:18:57.760 we got to give the kids

00:18:59.140 one more magical Christmas,

00:19:00.740 one more Christmas with Santa

00:19:02.260 before we destroy their hopes

00:19:04.140 and dreams forever.

00:19:05.540 And so I relented,

00:19:06.380 which just means

00:19:07.160 that she's going to milk

00:19:08.260 this Christmas

00:19:08.920 for all it's worth.

00:19:09.740 It's going to be Christmas

00:19:10.440 on steroids.

00:19:11.400 I mean,

00:19:11.640 we're going to,

00:19:12.200 we're going to end up doing

00:19:13.620 like a world tour

00:19:14.760 of mall Santas.

00:19:16.780 My wife is treating

00:19:17.980 this Christmas

00:19:18.860 like she's on death row

00:19:20.080 and this is her last meal.

00:19:21.880 Except there's really Santa

00:19:22.940 on death row.

00:19:24.020 Death row.

00:19:24.380 I mean,

00:19:24.540 that's what's happening.

00:19:25.260 And I know,

00:19:26.940 I know some of you

00:19:29.260 are listening to this right now

00:19:30.300 and you're saying,

00:19:31.220 well,

00:19:31.320 see,

00:19:31.720 this is why you shouldn't

00:19:32.700 do the Santa thing at all.

00:19:34.440 This is why,

00:19:35.500 this is why when I,

00:19:36.640 my family,

00:19:37.540 when I,

00:19:37.840 when I have kids,

00:19:38.840 we're not going to tell them

00:19:39.640 about Santa.

00:19:40.820 Yeah,

00:19:41.040 you say that,

00:19:42.040 but you don't know

00:19:43.480 what it's like out there,

00:19:44.820 especially if you don't have kids

00:19:45.960 or if you have kids

00:19:48.300 that are older

00:19:48.800 and,

00:19:49.140 and you know,

00:19:49.820 there's a long time ago,

00:19:50.620 maybe you've forgotten.

00:19:52.000 So you don't understand.

00:19:53.080 There is no,

00:19:55.320 the whole debate among parents

00:19:56.680 about,

00:19:56.940 are we doing the Santa thing or not?

00:19:59.120 It's a moot point

00:20:00.360 because there is no

00:20:02.380 doing Santa

00:20:03.580 or not doing Santa.

00:20:04.700 That choice is taken from you

00:20:06.400 if you live in society.

00:20:08.740 Now,

00:20:09.120 if you live

00:20:09.700 on a homestead somewhere,

00:20:11.120 if you live in,

00:20:11.640 or if you,

00:20:12.000 you know,

00:20:12.160 if you live in the wilderness,

00:20:13.340 if you're,

00:20:13.760 if you're removed from society,

00:20:15.000 which is a great plan,

00:20:16.040 by the way,

00:20:16.600 but in that case,

00:20:18.080 then yeah,

00:20:18.420 you could choose what you want

00:20:19.200 to do about Santa.

00:20:21.020 But if you live in,

00:20:22.500 in,

00:20:23.080 mainstream society,

00:20:24.820 you don't have that choice.

00:20:27.600 He,

00:20:27.820 he,

00:20:28.240 Santa's everywhere.

00:20:30.440 He,

00:20:30.920 he really does see you

00:20:32.200 when you're sleeping

00:20:32.920 and know when you're awake.

00:20:33.800 He's everywhere.

00:20:34.480 The kids just pick him up

00:20:35.620 on their own

00:20:36.220 and they pick him up

00:20:38.220 at the same age

00:20:39.460 when they believe

00:20:40.260 in things like Spider-Man.

00:20:41.320 You know,

00:20:41.420 they think Spider-Man is real

00:20:42.500 and they think unicorns are real

00:20:44.500 and dragons

00:20:45.280 and fairies

00:20:45.720 and all that.

00:20:46.540 So Santa exists

00:20:47.680 in the same realm

00:20:48.800 as all of those things.

00:20:51.760 So if you really want

00:20:52.640 to make sure

00:20:53.060 the kids don't believe

00:20:53.840 in Santa,

00:20:54.500 then what you really

00:20:55.600 have to do,

00:20:56.900 because you're not going

00:20:57.440 to be,

00:20:57.700 they're going to,

00:20:58.060 they're going to,

00:20:58.380 they're going to encounter

00:20:59.140 Santa and they're going

00:21:00.480 to put them in the same

00:21:01.100 category as all these

00:21:01.820 other things

00:21:02.320 in their imagination

00:21:03.560 that they think is real.

00:21:04.520 So if you want to make

00:21:05.220 sure they don't do Santa,

00:21:06.100 you have to take

00:21:06.780 all of it away

00:21:07.740 from a young age.

00:21:08.820 Spider-Man,

00:21:11.260 dragons,

00:21:11.980 fairies,

00:21:12.260 you got to take it all.

00:21:14.300 So from a young age,

00:21:16.140 from like the age of three,

00:21:17.920 you have to say to your kids,

00:21:18.780 none of it's real.

00:21:19.740 This is all fake.

00:21:21.760 Stop believing in this stuff.

00:21:23.980 And you have to continue

00:21:25.020 hammering that home.

00:21:26.540 And if you don't do that,

00:21:27.720 then your kids are just

00:21:28.280 going to believe it.

00:21:29.760 And that's the way it goes.

00:21:31.540 Until you get to a point

00:21:32.500 where it's like,

00:21:32.880 okay,

00:21:33.020 now it's a little bit too old

00:21:34.200 and so now you really have,

00:21:35.480 because the other things

00:21:36.380 like dragons and fairies,

00:21:37.960 they'll kind of,

00:21:38.980 they'll grow out of that

00:21:39.840 on their own,

00:21:40.820 but they'll hang on to Santa.

00:21:43.440 And so that's when

00:21:44.440 inevitably you have to

00:21:45.780 have the conversation.

00:21:48.080 All right.

00:21:49.120 Kamala Harris.

00:21:49.780 Let's go to someone else.

00:21:51.520 Kamala Harris has

00:21:52.380 sort of a fictional character

00:21:54.260 herself in many ways.

00:21:56.180 And she has a certain

00:21:57.100 way about her. 0.95

00:21:58.740 Every time she's giving

00:21:59.800 a speech,

00:22:00.660 she sounds like she's

00:22:01.860 reading from a book report

00:22:03.100 where she had to stretch

00:22:04.360 to hit the word count.

00:22:07.060 And if I sound like

00:22:08.020 I'm speaking from experience,

00:22:09.400 I am.

00:22:09.800 This is like me

00:22:10.980 through 12 years

00:22:12.220 of grade school.

00:22:13.940 Every book report,

00:22:14.920 any assignment,

00:22:15.840 this is what I did.

00:22:17.920 You know,

00:22:18.080 you try,

00:22:18.640 you put in as many

00:22:19.580 superfluous words

00:22:20.540 as you need.

00:22:21.140 You try to mess

00:22:22.160 with the margins

00:22:22.880 and the font a little bit,

00:22:24.220 thinking that you're

00:22:24.660 the first.

00:22:25.660 Every kid thinks of that.

00:22:26.740 You think you're

00:22:27.060 the first one to come up.

00:22:28.420 Oh, I know.

00:22:29.020 I'll make it the 12.5 font

00:22:31.180 instead of 12 font.

00:22:32.440 Teacher will never see that.

00:22:35.200 So I did this a lot myself

00:22:36.600 and Kamala Harris is,

00:22:38.800 I'm not going to say

00:22:39.180 she's a master at it,

00:22:40.340 but she certainly

00:22:41.900 has quite a lot of experience.

00:22:43.360 So here she is

00:22:43.960 giving a speech in France

00:22:46.260 and let's listen.

00:22:49.560 We must together,

00:22:51.060 work together

00:22:51.980 to see where we are,

00:22:54.260 where we are headed,

00:22:56.300 where we are going

00:22:57.400 and our vision

00:22:58.080 for where we should be,

00:22:59.120 but also see it

00:23:00.860 as a moment,

00:23:01.700 yes,

00:23:02.600 to together

00:23:03.860 address the challenges

00:23:05.300 and to work on

00:23:08.060 the opportunities.

00:23:10.840 We must together,

00:23:12.440 work together

00:23:13.220 with togetherness

00:23:15.120 and together,

00:23:16.440 we must together

00:23:17.080 move forward

00:23:17.880 and also together

00:23:19.600 go forward

00:23:20.640 while we're moving forward

00:23:22.540 and together

00:23:23.740 make plans

00:23:25.340 for the future

00:23:26.140 and for what will come

00:23:28.400 and for tomorrow

00:23:30.080 together,

00:23:31.780 all together

00:23:32.600 so that we can be together

00:23:34.560 today

00:23:35.080 and tomorrow

00:23:36.540 and into the future

00:23:38.220 together

00:23:39.340 in our togetherness.

00:23:42.420 That's kind of,

00:23:43.340 that speech is

00:23:44.180 Kamala Harris

00:23:44.860 in a nutshell

00:23:46.100 and it also explains,

00:23:48.600 I think,

00:23:49.120 why she's not very popular 0.86

00:23:51.740 because she is so phony 1.00

00:23:55.620 that she makes Hillary Clinton 0.87

00:23:57.460 seem authentic

00:23:58.100 by comparison.

00:23:58.980 She makes Hillary Clinton 1.00

00:23:59.980 seem like a fully fleshed,

00:24:01.980 fleshed out sort of

00:24:03.200 a human being

00:24:04.740 by comparison

00:24:05.800 and that's why

00:24:08.020 people don't like her. 0.97

00:24:09.340 Because it's not even

00:24:12.260 a choice really.

00:24:14.100 As human beings ourselves,

00:24:15.820 we don't make a decision

00:24:17.620 to like someone

00:24:19.660 or not like them

00:24:20.300 when we pick up

00:24:21.220 on inauthenticity,

00:24:23.100 phoniness.

00:24:23.860 It's a visceral reaction.

00:24:27.600 And I guess Kamala Harris' team,

00:24:29.400 they've picked up on this

00:24:30.200 and nobody likes her 0.98

00:24:31.000 and so that is what led

00:24:32.360 to this CNN headline

00:24:33.860 over the weekend,

00:24:35.240 Exasperation and Dysfunction

00:24:36.720 Inside Kamala Harris'

00:24:38.120 Frustrating Start

00:24:39.100 as Vice President.

00:24:40.700 And then you go through

00:24:41.340 and she's complaining a lot 0.86

00:24:42.320 about how people don't like her

00:24:43.320 and off the record,

00:24:44.380 her team is complaining

00:24:45.100 mostly off the record.

00:24:46.900 People don't like her, 0.97

00:24:47.840 there's not a lot for her to do.

00:24:49.760 I mean,

00:24:49.960 that part of it,

00:24:50.780 that's what you signed up for,

00:24:52.120 that's the job,

00:24:53.020 you're the Vice President,

00:24:54.400 it's a totally ceremonial thing. 1.00

00:24:57.860 You're about as useless 1.00

00:24:59.400 as the First Lady. 1.00

00:25:01.720 So you'd think you'd know

00:25:02.940 that going in.

00:25:04.220 But then it's a whole long story

00:25:05.820 talking about this

00:25:07.100 and the tension

00:25:08.100 between the different camps

00:25:09.260 and everything

00:25:09.640 and Kamala Harris wants to be

00:25:11.000 more in the spotlight

00:25:12.500 than she is.

00:25:13.760 Wow,

00:25:14.200 big shocker there.

00:25:16.100 And then we get to this.

00:25:18.360 This is just one part

00:25:19.260 from the piece

00:25:19.620 that I want to read to.

00:25:21.380 And though Harris

00:25:22.260 has told confidants

00:25:23.200 that she has been enjoying

00:25:24.900 a good working dynamic

00:25:25.920 directly with Biden,

00:25:26.900 those who work for them

00:25:28.540 describe their relationship

00:25:29.540 in terms of settling

00:25:30.640 into an exhausted stalemate.

00:25:33.280 Suspicion has sprouted

00:25:34.400 out of the bitterness.

00:25:35.400 Last month,

00:25:36.020 White House aides

00:25:36.680 leapt to the defense

00:25:37.500 of Transportation Secretary

00:25:38.520 Pete Buttigieg,

00:25:39.380 who was being hammered

00:25:40.520 with outrage

00:25:41.060 by Fox News host

00:25:41.880 Tucker Carlson

00:25:42.440 and a like-minded

00:25:42.900 online pundits

00:25:43.620 for taking paternity leave

00:25:44.440 after the adoption

00:25:45.000 of his twins in September.

00:25:46.420 Harris loyalists tell CNN

00:25:47.780 they see in that

00:25:49.300 yet another example

00:25:50.140 of an unfair standard at play,

00:25:52.360 wondering why she

00:25:53.080 didn't get similar cover

00:25:54.200 any of the times

00:25:55.280 that she's been attacked

00:25:56.160 by the right.

00:25:57.700 Quote,

00:25:58.100 this is a former Harris aide

00:25:59.380 speaking of the record,

00:26:00.460 it's hard to miss

00:26:01.080 the specific energy

00:26:02.000 that the White House

00:26:02.700 defends,

00:26:03.360 brings to defend

00:26:04.120 a white man

00:26:05.060 knowing that Kamala Harris

00:26:06.480 has spent almost a year

00:26:07.620 taking a lot of the hits

00:26:08.600 that the West Wing

00:26:09.760 didn't want to take themselves.

00:26:12.960 So that,

00:26:14.340 these are the first rumblings

00:26:15.960 from someone in Harris's camp

00:26:17.780 accusing Joe Biden

00:26:18.980 of racism.

00:26:21.480 It was always destined

00:26:23.080 to come to this.

00:26:25.160 It's destined to come to this

00:26:26.460 no matter what.

00:26:28.680 This is why

00:26:29.460 left-wing

00:26:30.180 governance

00:26:31.680 is always going

00:26:33.340 to be dysfunctional.

00:26:34.160 One of the many reasons

00:26:34.920 why it's always going

00:26:35.520 to be dysfunctional

00:26:36.240 because there's always

00:26:37.320 going to be

00:26:38.020 the various

00:26:40.680 identity groups

00:26:41.840 competing with

00:26:44.860 one another

00:26:45.360 trying to climb

00:26:46.900 the ladder

00:26:47.660 to be the uber victim.

00:26:49.320 I mean,

00:26:49.660 that's all

00:26:50.660 intersectionality.

00:26:52.080 That's all built in.

00:26:53.960 But also,

00:26:54.700 Kamala Harris,

00:26:55.920 really,

00:26:57.240 her whole

00:26:57.780 Democratic primary

00:26:59.280 platform

00:26:59.980 was

00:27:01.620 accusing

00:27:02.620 Joe Biden

00:27:03.320 of racism.

00:27:04.880 That was her whole deal.

00:27:06.540 Her one moment

00:27:07.660 in the sun,

00:27:09.220 you know,

00:27:09.400 where she went

00:27:09.820 from 1% in the polls

00:27:10.980 to like 2.5%

00:27:12.100 and it was the

00:27:13.040 Kamala Harris surge.

00:27:15.060 That's when she

00:27:15.660 got up there

00:27:16.140 during the Democratic

00:27:16.800 primary debates

00:27:17.640 and accused him

00:27:18.260 of being a segregationist.

00:27:21.080 And then Joe Biden

00:27:21.860 makes a decision

00:27:22.440 to bring her

00:27:23.080 into the White House

00:27:23.700 and,

00:27:24.240 shockingly,

00:27:26.000 she's now accusing

00:27:26.920 him of racism.

00:27:28.500 And then there's

00:27:29.140 bitterness too

00:27:29.720 because,

00:27:30.520 you know,

00:27:32.040 Pete Buttigieg is there

00:27:33.060 and,

00:27:33.280 you know,

00:27:34.180 he's going to want

00:27:35.260 to run in 2024

00:27:36.060 assuming that Joe Biden

00:27:37.180 doesn't run

00:27:37.780 which is maybe,

00:27:39.940 I'm not sure

00:27:42.640 how safe of an assumption

00:27:44.840 that really is.

00:27:46.580 I mean,

00:27:46.780 would he run

00:27:47.300 at the age of 82?

00:27:48.240 Sure he would.

00:27:50.980 Partly he would run

00:27:51.720 because he's not

00:27:52.980 going to have any idea

00:27:53.520 what he's doing

00:27:53.980 at that point.

00:27:54.440 He hardly has any idea

00:27:55.140 what he's doing now.

00:27:58.040 I suppose

00:27:59.120 what we really

00:27:59.840 should ask is

00:28:00.420 would Joe Biden's

00:28:02.100 handlers

00:28:02.680 push him to run

00:28:05.600 at the age of 82

00:28:06.860 as at that point

00:28:08.520 a full-on vegetable?

00:28:10.480 Probably they will.

00:28:11.240 But whether it's,

00:28:12.860 you know,

00:28:14.380 24 or 28,

00:28:15.520 Pete Buttigieg

00:28:16.100 is also,

00:28:17.500 you know,

00:28:17.820 wants to be

00:28:18.920 the heir apparent.

00:28:21.020 And so again,

00:28:21.760 we have this

00:28:22.300 intersectionality

00:28:23.400 tension between the two.

00:28:25.320 Are we going to have

00:28:26.200 the first woman president

00:28:27.560 or the first

00:28:28.940 gay president? 0.63

00:28:32.120 Which, 0.99

00:28:33.040 it's really going to be

00:28:33.780 up to the Democratic Party.

00:28:35.620 Who are they going to

00:28:36.440 throw their weight behind?

00:28:39.380 Who's going to get

00:28:40.020 the coronation?

00:28:42.180 And,

00:28:42.640 and I could,

00:28:43.680 I think we can assume

00:28:45.200 that it's going to be

00:28:46.600 Buttigieg.

00:28:48.380 In fact,

00:28:49.000 I will put that

00:28:49.680 prediction on the record

00:28:50.960 right now

00:28:51.440 that I think we will

00:28:52.520 have the first 0.99

00:28:53.140 gay president 0.99

00:28:53.940 before we have 0.99

00:28:56.460 the first woman president.

00:28:58.960 Because that identity

00:29:00.100 simply takes priority

00:29:01.380 on the left.

00:29:02.140 It's as simple as that.

00:29:05.520 As a woman,

00:29:06.420 you are,

00:29:07.100 I hate to say it,

00:29:07.940 if you're on the left

00:29:08.660 and you're jockeying

00:29:09.900 for position

00:29:10.520 on the victimhood pyramid,

00:29:12.140 you're pretty far

00:29:13.140 down the scale.

00:29:14.520 I got to say,

00:29:15.300 you're pretty far

00:29:15.900 down the totem pole

00:29:16.600 to keep mixing

00:29:17.320 metaphors here.

00:29:20.880 So,

00:29:21.420 I think,

00:29:21.760 yeah,

00:29:22.000 I think,

00:29:22.320 I think they're going

00:29:22.720 to go with Buttigieg

00:29:23.320 based on the identity

00:29:25.280 points.

00:29:25.720 He has more identity

00:29:27.000 points than Kamala Harris

00:29:28.240 does,

00:29:29.100 sadly for her.

00:29:30.800 All right,

00:29:31.060 next.

00:29:31.380 I really like this clip.

00:29:32.180 This is a great clip.

00:29:33.020 A Chinese activist,

00:29:33.920 a dissident,

00:29:34.820 former political prisoner,

00:29:36.120 was interviewed on PBS

00:29:37.800 and he's been speaking out

00:29:40.460 against authoritarianism

00:29:41.760 in the United States

00:29:42.500 and he's been warning

00:29:43.240 about authoritarianism

00:29:45.080 in the United States.

00:29:46.100 The interviewer,

00:29:46.840 Margaret Hoover,

00:29:48.740 has him on

00:29:49.560 hoping that he'll talk

00:29:50.880 about Donald Trump

00:29:51.720 and how Donald Trump

00:29:53.120 is an authoritarian.

00:29:55.120 But that's not exactly

00:29:56.440 how things go.

00:29:57.580 Let's listen.

00:29:59.120 In your book,

00:30:00.520 you're describing

00:30:01.380 the directives

00:30:02.180 of Mao Zedong

00:30:02.840 during the Cultural Revolution

00:30:04.600 that would be distributed

00:30:06.660 publicly every night.

00:30:09.000 And then you write,

00:30:10.100 this is your quote,

00:30:11.320 they served a function

00:30:13.320 similar to Donald Trump's

00:30:14.880 late night tweets

00:30:15.720 while in office.

00:30:17.720 They were the direct

00:30:18.940 communication

00:30:19.620 of a leader's thoughts

00:30:20.780 to his devoted followers,

00:30:22.300 enhancing the sanctity

00:30:23.640 of his authority.

00:30:25.920 So,

00:30:26.500 do you see Donald Trump

00:30:27.800 as an authoritarian?

00:30:30.360 I,

00:30:31.720 well,

00:30:32.200 I don't,

00:30:33.000 you know,

00:30:33.300 he,

00:30:33.980 if you're authoritarian,

00:30:35.420 you have to have

00:30:36.240 a system in supporting you.

00:30:38.320 You cannot just be

00:30:39.460 authoritarian by yourself.

00:30:41.700 But certainly,

00:30:43.020 in United States,

00:30:45.460 with today's condition,

00:30:48.160 you can easily

00:30:49.060 have authoritarian.

00:30:51.200 In many ways,

00:30:52.580 you're already

00:30:53.180 in the authoritarian state.

00:30:55.780 You just don't know it.

00:30:57.740 How so?

00:30:58.520 Many things

00:31:00.260 happens today

00:31:01.140 in the U.S.

00:31:02.740 It can be compared

00:31:04.260 to the Cultural Revolution

00:31:05.900 in China.

00:31:07.760 Like what?

00:31:09.060 Like people

00:31:10.340 trying to be

00:31:11.680 unified

00:31:13.060 in certain

00:31:13.940 political correctness.

00:31:16.520 That is

00:31:17.120 very dangerous.

00:31:18.260 You gotta,

00:31:20.720 you have to see

00:31:21.340 the clip

00:31:21.800 while listening

00:31:24.180 to it

00:31:24.480 to really fully

00:31:25.100 appreciate it

00:31:25.680 because the

00:31:26.140 interviewer,

00:31:27.820 poor Margaret there, 1.00

00:31:28.900 you can see her

00:31:29.400 kind of in her eye.

00:31:30.420 She's dying inside

00:31:31.420 as she sees

00:31:32.100 that this is

00:31:32.600 not going

00:31:33.260 in the direction

00:31:33.800 she wanted it to go.

00:31:35.920 She wants to talk

00:31:36.840 about Donald Trump

00:31:38.100 as the tyrannical threat,

00:31:39.660 even though he's

00:31:40.180 not even in office anymore.

00:31:42.500 And instead,

00:31:43.720 this Chinese 0.78

00:31:44.840 political activist

00:31:45.880 dissident

00:31:46.300 says it's

00:31:47.080 political correctness

00:31:48.000 is why we live

00:31:49.600 in an authoritarian state.

00:31:50.640 And the reason

00:31:51.320 that he gives

00:31:51.920 is very insightful.

00:31:54.100 No surprise

00:31:54.820 that he has insight

00:31:55.520 into this

00:31:55.960 given where he's

00:31:56.600 coming from now

00:31:57.520 and the experience

00:31:59.460 he has.

00:32:00.980 But

00:32:01.460 authoritarianism,

00:32:02.900 tyranny,

00:32:03.400 it's all about

00:32:04.100 systems.

00:32:04.840 There has to be

00:32:05.160 a system in place.

00:32:06.980 Donald Trump

00:32:07.620 never had a system

00:32:08.760 in place.

00:32:09.100 Whatever you,

00:32:10.060 however you feel

00:32:10.820 about Donald Trump

00:32:11.500 as a person.

00:32:12.080 whatever you think

00:32:15.820 his own personal

00:32:16.680 instincts are.

00:32:18.920 He was never

00:32:19.840 any kind of threat

00:32:21.320 to be a,

00:32:24.300 you know,

00:32:24.880 a despotic, 0.98

00:32:26.040 tyrannical dictator 0.97

00:32:27.360 ruling America 0.85

00:32:28.700 with an iron fist.

00:32:30.760 Even if he would

00:32:31.480 have liked to do that.

00:32:32.520 And I don't think

00:32:33.140 he would have liked

00:32:33.620 to do that.

00:32:34.020 I don't think

00:32:34.320 that's what he was

00:32:34.860 all about.

00:32:36.100 But he never had

00:32:36.640 the system in place.

00:32:39.000 The system was

00:32:39.820 against him

00:32:40.480 the entire time.

00:32:42.080 There's no question

00:32:43.300 about that.

00:32:45.120 The system

00:32:45.920 was trying

00:32:46.840 to destroy

00:32:47.460 Donald Trump 0.72

00:32:48.400 the whole time

00:32:48.980 that he was

00:32:49.520 ostensibly

00:32:50.900 on top of it

00:32:51.780 and supposed

00:32:52.340 to be running it.

00:32:55.200 So,

00:32:55.720 that was never

00:32:56.380 a threat.

00:32:57.440 Whatever his own

00:32:58.280 instincts might have

00:32:59.340 been,

00:32:59.500 it was never a threat.

00:33:01.160 But political

00:33:02.200 correctness,

00:33:03.040 and as I said

00:33:03.840 in the opening,

00:33:05.560 you know,

00:33:05.780 these are the labels,

00:33:06.680 the terms that we use,

00:33:07.580 political correctness,

00:33:08.480 wokeness.

00:33:09.640 It's kind of for lack

00:33:10.720 of a better term.

00:33:11.580 I don't love

00:33:12.540 the terms

00:33:12.980 because

00:33:13.460 they tend

00:33:16.220 to sort of

00:33:16.760 understate

00:33:17.620 the threat.

00:33:19.680 But even so,

00:33:20.600 these are the terms

00:33:21.320 that we have

00:33:21.780 right now

00:33:22.100 so people know

00:33:22.560 what we're talking

00:33:23.040 about.

00:33:23.760 And political

00:33:24.440 correctness,

00:33:25.440 leftism,

00:33:26.080 wokeism,

00:33:26.580 all these things

00:33:27.280 wrapped together,

00:33:28.120 they have the system.

00:33:30.040 That's what I always

00:33:30.880 say about cancel culture.

00:33:33.320 There is no

00:33:34.760 right-wing

00:33:35.360 cancel culture.

00:33:36.140 Even if there are

00:33:39.140 people on the right

00:33:39.920 who would like

00:33:40.340 to have one.

00:33:41.440 I mean,

00:33:41.740 I have something

00:33:42.240 called the daily

00:33:42.720 cancellation,

00:33:43.440 so if I could run

00:33:44.580 my own cancel culture,

00:33:45.520 I would take it.

00:33:47.660 But I don't have

00:33:48.980 the system.

00:33:50.840 Cancel culture 0.98

00:33:51.460 is a function

00:33:52.320 of the system,

00:33:53.800 and that is why

00:33:54.400 cancel culture

00:33:55.140 is inherently

00:33:56.200 a left-wing phenomenon.

00:33:57.480 And it's all

00:33:58.040 wrapped up with

00:33:58.820 whatever you want

00:33:59.180 to call political

00:33:59.600 correctness,

00:34:00.200 wokeness,

00:34:00.540 all these things

00:34:01.080 together.

00:34:01.400 they have

00:34:04.600 the system,

00:34:05.620 and so the

00:34:07.460 authoritarian threat

00:34:08.500 is entirely

00:34:09.420 from the left

00:34:10.120 because they

00:34:12.160 have the system.

00:34:12.920 And when we

00:34:13.260 talk about the

00:34:13.660 system,

00:34:13.960 what do we

00:34:14.200 mean?

00:34:14.560 We mean

00:34:14.960 the government,

00:34:16.460 the state,

00:34:16.940 we mean

00:34:17.300 academia,

00:34:18.860 media,

00:34:19.280 Hollywood,

00:34:19.980 corporate America,

00:34:21.000 all of the most

00:34:22.320 powerful institutions

00:34:23.180 in the country

00:34:24.080 are all on the

00:34:26.500 same side,

00:34:27.480 wanting to

00:34:28.580 suppress a

00:34:29.620 particular point

00:34:30.480 of view.

00:34:31.400 And particular

00:34:32.180 groups of people.

00:34:35.440 All right,

00:34:35.980 next,

00:34:36.260 what do we got here?

00:34:36.940 I gotta play this

00:34:37.720 for you.

00:34:38.180 This is a local

00:34:38.840 news report

00:34:39.420 out of Michigan.

00:34:41.580 And to be honest

00:34:42.320 with you,

00:34:42.540 I'm not even sure

00:34:43.360 if,

00:34:44.680 I don't know

00:34:45.680 if in playing

00:34:46.720 this,

00:34:47.060 it means that

00:34:47.500 this YouTube,

00:34:48.460 this show

00:34:49.240 will be taken

00:34:49.580 off YouTube.

00:34:50.080 I don't know,

00:34:50.400 but this is a

00:34:50.860 news report,

00:34:51.740 a local news report

00:34:52.500 out of Michigan.

00:34:53.700 Let's listen.

00:34:55.700 COVID-19 pandemic

00:34:56.880 weighing heavy

00:34:57.400 on some

00:34:57.900 mid-Michigan

00:34:58.280 school districts.

00:34:59.120 Some districts

00:34:59.600 have had to

00:35:00.120 close entirely

00:35:00.940 because of

00:35:01.400 outbreaks of

00:35:01.940 the virus,

00:35:02.360 while others

00:35:03.040 only partially.

00:35:03.980 As our

00:35:04.700 Mark Boyan

00:35:05.500 shows us

00:35:06.100 today,

00:35:06.540 it was

00:35:06.860 something

00:35:07.240 other than

00:35:07.920 COVID-19

00:35:08.640 that forced

00:35:09.440 one Saginaw

00:35:10.340 County school

00:35:11.000 district to

00:35:12.080 close their

00:35:12.660 doors today.

00:35:14.400 Saginaw Township

00:35:15.360 Community Schools

00:35:16.180 closed for

00:35:17.040 today.

00:35:17.800 At first,

00:35:18.540 you might be

00:35:19.240 thinking COVID-19

00:35:20.440 is to blame,

00:35:21.680 but a district

00:35:22.300 spokesperson tells

00:35:23.240 me a large

00:35:23.760 number of staff

00:35:24.500 members had

00:35:25.100 negative reactions

00:35:26.220 to the COVID-19

00:35:27.640 booster they

00:35:28.460 received over

00:35:29.160 the weekend.

00:35:30.460 Now,

00:35:30.720 according to

00:35:31.100 the CDC,

00:35:31.780 some of the

00:35:32.100 most common

00:35:32.640 side effects

00:35:33.420 of the Pfizer

00:35:34.120 and Moderna

00:35:34.680 COVID booster

00:35:35.580 are pain at

00:35:36.800 the injection

00:35:37.360 site,

00:35:37.960 fatigue,

00:35:38.460 muscle pain,

00:35:39.140 headache,

00:35:39.560 and fever,

00:35:40.500 also the chills

00:35:41.520 and nausea.

00:35:42.680 For the J&J

00:35:43.480 booster,

00:35:44.060 the CDC says

00:35:44.840 fever,

00:35:45.480 fatigue,

00:35:45.900 and headache

00:35:46.480 were some

00:35:46.900 of the more

00:35:47.240 common symptoms.

00:35:48.780 Recent data

00:35:49.460 from the CDC

00:35:50.180 shows among

00:35:50.920 12,500 people

00:35:52.560 who received a

00:35:53.320 third dose of

00:35:54.420 the COVID-19

00:35:55.300 vaccine,

00:35:56.300 79% reported

00:35:58.160 those local

00:35:58.800 reactions,

00:35:59.720 like pain and

00:36:00.560 itching at

00:36:01.180 the injection

00:36:01.740 site,

00:36:02.680 while 74%

00:36:04.080 reported the

00:36:05.080 systemic reactions,

00:36:06.600 like muscle

00:36:07.120 pain and fatigue.

00:36:09.160 Now,

00:36:09.400 going back to

00:36:09.900 the district,

00:36:10.500 they also say

00:36:11.200 what complicates

00:36:12.200 the situation

00:36:12.920 even more is

00:36:13.700 the substitute

00:36:14.360 teacher shortage,

00:36:15.640 which is why

00:36:16.240 the district

00:36:16.720 had to

00:36:17.160 completely shut

00:36:18.560 down.

00:36:19.400 You may

00:36:19.680 remember just

00:36:20.380 last week,

00:36:21.060 Swan Valley

00:36:21.580 schools had to 0.88

00:36:22.420 close also

00:36:23.260 because of

00:36:24.400 a staffing

00:36:24.820 shortage.

00:36:26.280 In Saginaw

00:36:26.780 County,

00:36:27.200 Mark

00:36:27.340 Bullion,

00:36:28.000 ABC 12

00:36:28.660 News.

00:36:29.940 Now,

00:36:30.460 you do have

00:36:31.140 to account

00:36:31.720 for the

00:36:32.000 possibility

00:36:32.540 that,

00:36:33.320 I mean,

00:36:33.680 these are

00:36:34.160 teachers we're

00:36:34.660 talking about,

00:36:35.500 and one thing

00:36:36.280 we know about

00:36:36.720 teachers,

00:36:37.420 and this

00:36:38.020 certainly has

00:36:38.500 been,

00:36:39.000 this point

00:36:39.400 has been

00:36:39.680 underscored

00:36:40.160 over the

00:36:40.480 last 18

00:36:41.300 months to

00:36:41.700 two years,

00:36:42.540 teachers don't 0.79

00:36:43.240 love working,

00:36:44.160 it's not their

00:36:44.600 favorite thing

00:36:45.000 to do,

00:36:45.980 and so they'll

00:36:46.820 take advantage

00:36:47.360 of any

00:36:47.820 opportunity you

00:36:49.440 give them

00:36:49.760 to call out

00:36:50.480 of work,

00:36:51.540 and so you

00:36:52.140 have to account

00:36:52.660 for that.

00:36:53.100 I mean,

00:36:53.240 there's probably

00:36:53.760 going to be a

00:36:54.180 certain number

00:36:54.720 of teachers

00:36:55.380 who,

00:36:56.760 when they

00:36:57.380 found out

00:36:57.900 that they

00:36:58.480 could get

00:36:58.900 a couple

00:36:59.760 days paid

00:37:00.460 vacation for

00:37:01.240 claiming adverse

00:37:01.840 reactions,

00:37:02.380 they decided

00:37:02.800 to go ahead

00:37:03.420 and do that,

00:37:04.960 but even so,

00:37:07.540 you know,

00:37:07.800 unless you want

00:37:08.220 to chalk all

00:37:08.820 this up to

00:37:09.320 that,

00:37:09.560 which I

00:37:09.840 wouldn't,

00:37:11.640 this is a

00:37:12.160 school shutting

00:37:13.900 down,

00:37:14.780 reportedly,

00:37:15.860 because of

00:37:16.580 adverse reactions

00:37:17.380 to the COVID

00:37:18.120 booster,

00:37:18.840 and there have

00:37:21.380 been many more,

00:37:22.260 maybe not schools

00:37:22.920 shutting down,

00:37:23.480 but there have

00:37:23.960 been many

00:37:24.420 reports of

00:37:25.040 people having

00:37:25.660 adverse reactions

00:37:26.640 to the booster.

00:37:27.780 Those are the

00:37:28.360 reports,

00:37:29.440 YouTube,

00:37:30.040 that's what

00:37:30.320 the reports

00:37:30.700 say.

00:37:33.360 And so,

00:37:34.080 we're going to get,

00:37:34.720 this is something

00:37:35.060 we have to keep

00:37:35.540 in mind,

00:37:35.920 because we are

00:37:36.480 certainly going,

00:37:37.100 just like Ron

00:37:37.540 DeSantis warned

00:37:38.180 about a few weeks

00:37:38.800 ago,

00:37:38.980 and he's exactly

00:37:39.460 right,

00:37:40.020 that we're going

00:37:41.700 to get to the

00:37:42.120 point very soon,

00:37:43.220 and this is relevant

00:37:43.980 to the Biden

00:37:44.760 vax mandate that

00:37:45.960 we are fighting

00:37:46.560 back against here

00:37:47.940 at the Daily Wire,

00:37:48.640 and one of the

00:37:48.940 reasons why it's

00:37:49.400 so important for us

00:37:49.980 to fight back

00:37:50.440 against it,

00:37:51.460 is that even if

00:37:54.160 you're vaccinated,

00:37:55.020 pretty soon you're

00:37:55.940 not going to be

00:37:56.340 vaccinated anymore,

00:37:58.340 at least according

00:37:58.940 to the standards

00:38:01.120 set by the

00:38:03.060 government and

00:38:03.840 different employers.

00:38:05.720 We're going to get

00:38:06.360 to a point pretty

00:38:07.460 soon where they're

00:38:08.160 going to say,

00:38:08.680 well,

00:38:08.840 if you were

00:38:10.860 double vaxed a

00:38:13.000 year ago,

00:38:13.580 or eight months

00:38:14.020 ago,

00:38:14.260 or ten months

00:38:14.660 ago,

00:38:14.820 that doesn't

00:38:16.380 count anymore

00:38:16.840 as being fully

00:38:17.720 vaccinated.

00:38:19.680 We know that the

00:38:20.720 goalpost for fully

00:38:22.460 vaccinated continues

00:38:23.480 to shift and

00:38:24.460 shift and shift

00:38:25.080 and shift, 0.98

00:38:25.540 and it probably

00:38:25.960 will never stop

00:38:26.620 shifting.

00:38:29.040 So this is going

00:38:29.900 to be a perpetually

00:38:31.240 moving target,

00:38:32.020 where if you want

00:38:32.700 to be fully

00:38:33.120 vaccinated,

00:38:33.720 it means you

00:38:33.960 have to keep

00:38:34.360 getting the

00:38:34.860 booster shots,

00:38:35.940 which means

00:38:37.600 potentially what

00:38:38.360 they're saying

00:38:38.800 is if you want

00:38:39.760 to be fully

00:38:40.200 vaccinated,

00:38:40.860 it means every

00:38:41.480 six months,

00:38:42.860 potentially,

00:38:43.800 you've got to

00:38:44.360 go and get

00:38:44.980 a shot that

00:38:45.920 might make 0.93

00:38:46.460 you sick for

00:38:47.420 a couple of

00:38:47.880 days.

00:38:48.560 So you have

00:38:48.900 to intentionally

00:38:49.700 essentially make

00:38:51.260 yourself sick

00:38:52.140 every six months

00:38:53.980 to avoid getting

00:38:55.280 this other

00:38:55.660 sickness that

00:38:56.500 for most people

00:38:57.520 will be mild

00:39:00.340 to moderate,

00:39:01.100 or you might

00:39:01.660 not have any

00:39:02.120 symptoms at all.

00:39:04.920 Total madness.

00:39:06.580 Speaking of

00:39:07.560 madness,

00:39:08.100 a quick update

00:39:08.940 here that I

00:39:09.460 think is worth

00:39:09.860 mentioning.

00:39:10.380 This is from

00:39:10.900 WTKR,

00:39:12.840 local news.

00:39:14.360 Old Dominion

00:39:15.340 University released

00:39:16.060 a statement

00:39:16.540 after one of

00:39:17.100 its assistant

00:39:17.580 professors gave

00:39:18.400 a controversial

00:39:19.100 interview defending

00:39:20.040 people attracted

00:39:20.800 to children.

00:39:22.440 I wouldn't even

00:39:22.960 call it controversial.

00:39:23.980 There's no

00:39:24.240 controversy assumes

00:39:25.980 that there's a

00:39:26.680 position to be,

00:39:28.100 you know,

00:39:28.360 you could stake

00:39:29.020 out a position

00:39:29.480 on either side

00:39:30.280 of it and

00:39:30.700 argue about it.

00:39:32.040 There's no real

00:39:32.760 controversy here.

00:39:34.660 This was a

00:39:35.660 professor,

00:39:37.160 Alan Walker,

00:39:37.920 who wanted to

00:39:39.280 de-stigmatize

00:39:40.200 pedophilia.

00:39:40.880 No controversy.

00:39:41.520 That is

00:39:43.520 horrendous, 0.96

00:39:44.740 disgusting, 0.99

00:39:45.420 evil. 1.00

00:39:46.900 Any other

00:39:47.300 adjective along

00:39:47.980 those lines you

00:39:48.460 want to use,

00:39:49.320 no controversy

00:39:50.000 there.

00:39:50.360 At least there

00:39:50.780 shouldn't be.

00:39:52.140 But Walker is

00:39:52.740 an assistant

00:39:53.140 professor of

00:39:53.740 sociology and

00:39:54.480 criminal justice

00:39:55.080 at Old

00:39:55.760 Dominion

00:39:56.060 University.

00:39:57.380 The interview,

00:39:58.220 as you remember,

00:39:58.660 we talked about

00:39:59.140 this in the

00:39:59.520 opening on

00:40:00.040 Friday,

00:40:00.460 the interview

00:40:00.800 revolved around

00:40:01.940 Walker's book,

00:40:03.520 a long,

00:40:04.100 it's called

00:40:04.420 A Long Dark

00:40:05.140 Shadow,

00:40:05.800 Minor Attracted

00:40:06.560 People and

00:40:07.100 Their Pursuit

00:40:07.700 of Dignity.

00:40:08.300 That's what

00:40:08.600 the book is

00:40:08.920 about,

00:40:09.600 being interviewed

00:40:10.160 by this creepy

00:40:11.320 Prostasia Foundation

00:40:12.620 that,

00:40:13.040 again,

00:40:13.200 as you remember,

00:40:14.140 is an organization

00:40:14.960 that is committed

00:40:15.940 to de-stigmatizing

00:40:17.160 pedophilia and

00:40:18.200 doing it under

00:40:18.760 the auspices of

00:40:19.800 protecting children

00:40:20.780 by de-stigmatizing

00:40:22.340 pedophilia.

00:40:24.820 So there was

00:40:25.620 outrage about

00:40:26.520 this,

00:40:27.840 well-deserved

00:40:28.520 outrage,

00:40:29.260 and finally,

00:40:30.620 Old Dominion

00:40:30.940 University released

00:40:31.700 a statement.

00:40:32.280 Here's their

00:40:32.620 statement.

00:40:34.040 Again,

00:40:34.720 a statement about

00:40:35.520 one of their

00:40:36.020 professors on

00:40:36.880 their payroll

00:40:37.520 openly trying

00:40:39.040 to de-stigmatize

00:40:40.480 pedophilia.

00:40:41.960 Here's what they

00:40:42.360 have to say

00:40:42.660 about it.

00:40:43.880 An academic

00:40:44.680 community plays

00:40:45.540 a valuable role

00:40:46.440 in the quest

00:40:46.900 for knowledge.

00:40:47.720 A vital part

00:40:48.320 of this is

00:40:48.740 being willing

00:40:49.140 to consider

00:40:49.620 scientific and

00:40:50.360 other empirical

00:40:51.020 data that may

00:40:51.780 involve controversial

00:40:52.640 issues and

00:40:53.460 perspectives.

00:40:54.640 Following a

00:40:55.240 recent interview

00:40:55.820 that gained

00:40:56.320 national attention,

00:40:57.460 Dr. Alan Walker

00:40:58.220 has released

00:40:58.720 the following

00:40:59.140 statement.

00:41:00.200 I want to be

00:41:00.760 clear.

00:41:01.280 Child sexual

00:41:01.840 abuse is an

00:41:02.380 inexcusable crime.

00:41:03.640 As an assistant

00:41:04.100 professor of

00:41:04.660 sociology and

00:41:05.260 criminal justice,

00:41:05.960 the goal of my

00:41:06.500 research is to

00:41:07.060 prevent crime.

00:41:08.140 My work is

00:41:08.620 informed by my

00:41:09.280 past experience

00:41:10.160 and advocacy as

00:41:10.880 a social worker

00:41:11.440 counseling victims.

00:41:12.820 I embarked on

00:41:13.380 this research in

00:41:14.020 hopes of gaining

00:41:14.620 understanding of a

00:41:15.720 group that

00:41:16.100 previously has not

00:41:17.240 been studied in

00:41:17.840 order to identify

00:41:18.460 ways to protect

00:41:19.120 children.

00:41:20.220 Following recent

00:41:20.840 social media

00:41:21.320 activity and

00:41:21.880 direct outreach

00:41:22.440 to the

00:41:22.620 institution,

00:41:23.060 it is important

00:41:23.480 to share that

00:41:23.900 Old Dominion,

00:41:24.460 as a caring and

00:41:25.140 inclusive community,

00:41:26.360 does not endorse

00:41:27.080 or promote crimes

00:41:27.800 against children or

00:41:28.700 any form of

00:41:29.260 criminal activity.

00:41:30.000 That's it.

00:41:30.340 That's the study.

00:41:30.840 If you're waiting

00:41:31.300 for the part where

00:41:31.900 there's any sort

00:41:32.420 of apology or if

00:41:34.480 they're going to

00:41:34.880 say that they're

00:41:35.240 getting rid of

00:41:35.740 this Alan

00:41:36.140 Walker degenerate 1.00

00:41:37.660 scumbag, no, 1.00

00:41:39.240 that's not going 0.99

00:41:39.620 to happen.

00:41:40.640 No apology.

00:41:42.980 The most we get

00:41:44.240 is, well, Old

00:41:45.420 Dominion does not 0.77

00:41:46.200 endorse or promote

00:41:47.220 crimes against

00:41:47.860 children.

00:41:48.640 By the way, if you

00:41:49.420 find yourself in a

00:41:50.380 position where you

00:41:53.800 have to say that,

00:41:55.820 where you have to

00:41:56.420 stipulate that you

00:41:57.320 don't endorse or

00:41:58.280 promote sexual

00:41:59.340 crimes against 0.55

00:41:59.980 children, then that

00:42:01.540 should tell you

00:42:01.940 something, that

00:42:04.220 means you have

00:42:05.180 veered very far

00:42:06.620 from the decent

00:42:08.460 path here, if you

00:42:09.580 have to clarify

00:42:10.160 that at all.

00:42:12.080 But they're not

00:42:12.680 going to apologize.

00:42:13.560 They're not going

00:42:13.860 to get rid of

00:42:14.380 this professor.

00:42:17.520 Now, if this

00:42:18.140 professor had made

00:42:19.860 a TikTok video,

00:42:20.940 I don't know,

00:42:21.340 wearing a MAGA

00:42:21.900 hat or something,

00:42:24.280 it would be a

00:42:24.660 totally different

00:42:25.900 deal, right?

00:42:27.740 There would be an

00:42:28.420 apology, there would

00:42:29.300 be statements, there

00:42:30.260 would be this and

00:42:30.760 the person would

00:42:31.720 be fired, put on 0.60

00:42:33.020 administrative leave

00:42:33.860 at least.

00:42:37.520 But this goes back

00:42:38.600 to what we just

00:42:39.940 heard about the

00:42:40.800 nature of tyranny

00:42:41.720 in the United

00:42:42.120 States.

00:42:42.500 It's all about who

00:42:43.280 controls the

00:42:43.940 systems.

00:42:46.180 The left controls

00:42:47.200 the system and the

00:42:48.320 system has no

00:42:49.180 interest in

00:42:51.980 forcefully

00:42:55.160 condemning people

00:42:56.180 who promote

00:42:56.700 pedophilia.

00:42:58.800 In fact, the

00:42:59.520 system has an

00:43:00.000 interest in the

00:43:00.480 opposite.

00:43:02.240 Because really,

00:43:02.960 the system agrees

00:43:03.960 with Alan

00:43:04.940 Walker.

00:43:07.160 That all

00:43:08.080 sexual choices

00:43:08.960 and sexual

00:43:09.660 quote-unquote

00:43:10.160 lifestyles should

00:43:11.180 be, should

00:43:11.840 ultimately be

00:43:12.760 de-stigmatized,

00:43:14.640 accepted,

00:43:15.260 tolerated.

00:43:16.100 That's how the

00:43:16.520 system feels

00:43:16.960 about it.

00:43:18.200 All right, let's

00:43:18.940 get now to the

00:43:19.480 comment section.

00:43:19.920 All right, before

00:43:31.260 we get to the

00:43:31.840 comments here from

00:43:33.340 the Sweet Baby

00:43:33.960 Gang, I think this

00:43:35.840 is a good

00:43:36.160 opportunity to tell

00:43:36.940 you that we are

00:43:38.740 going to be hiring

00:43:39.540 on the Matt

00:43:40.300 Walls show.

00:43:40.800 It's pretty

00:43:41.040 exciting.

00:43:42.100 We need an

00:43:43.760 intern on the

00:43:44.380 show, basically

00:43:46.180 to be my

00:43:47.300 slave. 0.80

00:43:47.780 For slave labor,

00:43:50.580 you will not be,

00:43:52.300 actually you will

00:43:52.760 be paid.

00:43:53.180 So it's not really

00:43:53.680 a slave position at

00:43:54.640 all.

00:43:54.800 I was hoping that

00:43:55.380 you would be.

00:43:55.680 What I wanted was

00:43:56.700 that. 0.68

00:43:56.920 I wanted like slave

00:43:57.800 labor, but I was

00:43:58.800 told that for a lot

00:43:59.640 of different reasons,

00:44:00.440 HR reasons, you can't

00:44:01.860 really have a slave.

00:44:02.580 So instead, it's going

00:44:04.280 to be a paid

00:44:04.600 internship position.

00:44:05.620 If you want to be

00:44:06.080 an intern on the

00:44:07.060 Matt Walls show, go

00:44:08.220 to dailywire.com,

00:44:09.500 scroll to the bottom

00:44:10.300 for the intern link,

00:44:12.140 and fill out the

00:44:12.940 application.

00:44:14.460 All right, let's go

00:44:15.600 to the comments.

00:44:16.020 This is from Todd,

00:44:16.780 says, maybe MAP

00:44:17.960 could simultaneously

00:44:19.380 stand for millstone

00:44:21.040 attached person.

00:44:23.020 Well done.

00:44:24.140 Wish I had thought

00:44:24.660 of that.

00:44:25.600 Melanie says, been

00:44:26.280 listening to you for

00:44:27.020 a while now.

00:44:27.840 All of the times you

00:44:28.460 talk about hookup

00:44:29.080 culture or topics

00:44:30.080 surrounding that make

00:44:30.900 me think deeply.

00:44:32.800 I've struggled with

00:44:33.660 my impulsive habits

00:44:34.580 when it comes to

00:44:35.180 sex and everything

00:44:35.780 you say makes the

00:44:36.800 clearest sense possible.

00:44:38.300 It's fun for like a

00:44:39.240 second getting that

00:44:39.980 super attractive guy

00:44:41.000 in bed, but then

00:44:41.580 afterward, when I'm

00:44:42.680 inevitably left in the

00:44:43.580 dust, the emptiness

00:44:44.360 and pain of using and

00:44:45.620 being used will never

00:44:47.400 be worth it.

00:44:48.360 All of this promotion

00:44:49.180 of casual sex is

00:44:50.340 absolutely unfounded

00:44:51.500 and delusional.

00:44:52.820 I've been part of that

00:44:53.640 promotion for a long

00:44:54.420 time, but now I am so

00:44:55.940 completely over this

00:44:56.880 illusion and working

00:44:57.780 hard to not fall into

00:44:58.640 that void anymore.

00:44:59.780 So thank you for

00:45:00.700 helping me.

00:45:01.700 Well, thank you for

00:45:02.360 that comment, Melanie.

00:45:03.320 And this is the

00:45:04.300 like they say with

00:45:06.440 anything, right?

00:45:06.880 The first, the first

00:45:07.760 step is, is, I don't

00:45:09.980 know, what is it?

00:45:10.360 The first step is

00:45:10.780 acceptance or something.

00:45:11.920 Maybe no, acceptance is

00:45:12.860 not what you want, but

00:45:13.680 realizing the situation

00:45:14.840 that you're in and

00:45:16.260 confronting it.

00:45:17.120 I think the first step

00:45:17.920 is confrontation, I

00:45:19.260 think.

00:45:21.200 Because this is, this

00:45:22.660 is kind of the irony of

00:45:24.020 hookup culture that

00:45:25.080 everybody involved in

00:45:28.660 it feels basically the

00:45:31.160 same way that you do.

00:45:32.860 Whether they can

00:45:33.640 articulate those

00:45:34.420 thoughts or not, and

00:45:35.360 many of them can't, and

00:45:36.360 that's a big part of the

00:45:37.400 problem.

00:45:39.080 That, again, they don't

00:45:39.960 have the moral language to

00:45:41.460 understand their own

00:45:42.460 feelings or articulate

00:45:43.360 them.

00:45:46.000 But everyone feels the

00:45:47.200 same way.

00:45:47.980 No one is happy.

00:45:50.520 Nobody can live a life

00:45:51.680 like that for any

00:45:52.980 length of time and feel

00:45:55.480 very happy and fulfilled

00:45:56.700 by it.

00:45:57.440 Because we're human

00:45:58.180 beings.

00:46:00.100 And there are certain

00:46:00.940 things that we need

00:46:01.880 beyond just the basic

00:46:03.440 physical needs.

00:46:05.340 You need connection with

00:46:07.160 other human beings.

00:46:09.660 Companionship.

00:46:10.160 I mean, these are, these

00:46:10.840 are real needs.

00:46:12.880 And when you're just

00:46:13.700 being used as a glorified 1.00

00:46:15.360 sex toy, which is what 0.99

00:46:16.720 happens in hookup 0.97

00:46:17.300 culture, then you're not,

00:46:18.500 you're not having that

00:46:19.260 deeper need fulfilled.

00:46:20.620 And, uh, you're starting,

00:46:21.900 you, you see that and

00:46:22.840 that's, um, that's a

00:46:24.600 step in the right

00:46:25.020 direction.

00:46:25.600 All right.

00:46:26.560 Savatch says, I love how

00:46:27.920 South Park creators,

00:46:28.940 Trey Stone and Matt

00:46:29.800 Parker have never been

00:46:30.880 hailed as courageous or

00:46:32.000 revolutionary despite them

00:46:33.160 attending the 2000 Oscars

00:46:34.560 and dresses while also

00:46:35.680 high on acid that took

00:46:37.480 courage.

00:46:38.880 Well, yeah, a lot of

00:46:39.620 people bring that up

00:46:40.220 whenever we have one of

00:46:40.980 these guys showing up to

00:46:42.740 an award show now in the

00:46:44.120 year 2021, wearing a

00:46:45.420 dress and feeling like

00:46:46.320 they're very bold and

00:46:47.020 courageous.

00:46:48.180 Most recent one, who

00:46:49.120 is the guy, the rapper,

00:46:49.960 I forget his name now, um,

00:46:51.560 did that last week.

00:46:52.820 And every time that comes

00:46:53.880 up, there's always people

00:46:54.620 in the comments bringing

00:46:55.360 up the, uh, the South

00:46:56.340 Park guys who did the

00:46:57.200 same thing to, I

00:46:58.780 think, what was it?

00:46:59.220 The, oh, it was the

00:46:59.840 Oscars.

00:47:00.240 Okay.

00:47:00.740 In 2000.

00:47:01.760 But the big difference is

00:47:03.120 that back then you would

00:47:05.840 have guys doing that.

00:47:07.300 Uh, Dennis Rodman was the

00:47:08.800 same when he was married

00:47:10.160 to Carmen Electra for two

00:47:11.620 seconds and he wore a

00:47:12.720 wedding dress to his

00:47:13.360 wedding.

00:47:14.820 But the whole idea was

00:47:16.140 that it was supposed to be

00:47:17.160 absurd and funny,

00:47:19.300 especially for the South

00:47:20.000 Park guys.

00:47:20.500 it was, you know, yeah,

00:47:23.280 you've always had that

00:47:24.680 like this cross-dressing

00:47:25.600 thing and there've always

00:47:27.460 been guys doing that.

00:47:29.100 But very often in the

00:47:30.380 past, in saner times, it

00:47:32.480 was, it was comedy.

00:47:33.820 It's supposed to be funny.

00:47:35.960 Made a whole movie about

00:47:37.100 it.

00:47:37.240 Mrs. Doubtfire with 0.66

00:47:38.160 Robin Williams.

00:47:39.960 And all of the comedy in

00:47:41.400 that movie is that Robin

00:47:42.700 Williams is a dad dressed

00:47:43.820 up like a, like an old

00:47:44.820 woman.

00:47:45.180 Isn't that hilarious?

00:47:45.940 The difference now is

00:47:49.240 that, uh, what was once

00:47:50.860 funny, we're supposed to

00:47:51.980 take seriously.

00:47:54.300 We're supposed to look at

00:47:55.400 it without cracking a

00:47:56.280 smile and applaud and say,

00:47:58.660 this is, this is a very

00:47:59.760 serious thing.

00:48:00.540 Look at that man in that

00:48:01.880 dress looking like he's

00:48:03.060 wearing his sister's

00:48:03.740 clothes.

00:48:04.720 Very serious.

00:48:05.740 Yes.

00:48:06.000 So let's applaud him.

00:48:08.440 Um, uh, let's see.

00:48:11.460 Another one says during the

00:48:12.260 cancellation, when Matt

00:48:13.060 brought up the government

00:48:13.780 taking care of the elderly,

00:48:14.900 all of the, all that I

00:48:15.820 could think about was the

00:48:16.780 horse and animal farm that

00:48:17.960 was loyal.

00:48:18.740 What did they do when he

00:48:19.520 died?

00:48:19.880 They sold him to a glue

00:48:20.820 factory.

00:48:22.220 Yeah.

00:48:22.620 Animal farm, another, you

00:48:24.400 know, of Orwell's books.

00:48:26.020 I think animal farm, I see

00:48:27.980 more of our current condition

00:48:30.100 in animal farm, even than I

00:48:31.520 see in the 1984.

00:48:33.560 Um, let's see.

00:48:38.580 Mind traveler says the use

00:48:40.220 of fictional and fantasy

00:48:41.460 scenarios as a means of

00:48:42.720 child protection makes sense

00:48:44.120 from a Freudian perspective.

00:48:45.860 After all, if repression

00:48:46.900 leads to greater depravity,

00:48:48.780 one could almost consider

00:48:50.080 it a moral imperative to

00:48:51.140 allow pedos outlets for

00:48:52.440 their vice where no child

00:48:53.600 is harmed.

00:48:54.440 However, from a classical

00:48:55.360 Christian point of view,

00:48:56.580 where vices only get 0.99

00:48:57.680 stronger, the more they're

00:48:58.740 fed, the moral imperative 0.91

00:49:00.320 would of course be to burn 1.00

00:49:01.840 that sick filth wherever you 1.00

00:49:03.140 find it. 0.88

00:49:04.160 I'm a loyal viewer of the

00:49:05.160 show.

00:49:05.460 So I suppose you know where

00:49:06.280 I stand.

00:49:07.780 Yeah.

00:49:08.220 Well, this is, that's the

00:49:09.480 classical Christian point of

00:49:10.700 view, that if you feed a

00:49:12.560 vice, it will grow stronger

00:49:14.100 as you point out, um, just

00:49:16.000 like with anything else.

00:49:17.300 If you feed or fuel

00:49:18.720 anything, then you are,

00:49:20.120 then you are strengthening

00:49:20.960 it.

00:49:22.120 Um, that's the classical

00:49:23.440 Christian point of view.

00:49:25.200 It's also the common sense

00:49:26.440 point of view.

00:49:28.700 It's also a point of view

00:49:29.940 that has a, you know, some,

00:49:31.340 some, uh, uh, intuition into

00:49:33.640 the human condition and to how

00:49:36.180 the human mind works.

00:49:38.660 So this is another area, one

00:49:40.480 of many where the Christian

00:49:42.460 moral intuition is completely

00:49:44.220 vindicated.

00:49:45.080 Uh, so thanks for pointing

00:49:46.660 that out.

00:49:47.320 As you are well aware,

00:49:48.580 everything is more expensive

00:49:50.000 these days.

00:49:50.880 Living is more expensive than

00:49:52.340 it's, uh, been for probably

00:49:53.780 any of us in our lifetime,

00:49:54.740 uh, which means that any

00:49:56.540 opportunity you have to save

00:49:58.100 money, you should take

00:49:59.440 advantage of it, especially

00:50:26.740 cash back on all the tanks

00:50:28.140 after that.

00:50:28.880 Some people who drive a lot

00:51:17.660 like what you hear.

00:51:18.400 Now let's get to our daily

00:51:19.280 cancellation.

00:51:23.980 Sunday was another sad day

00:51:25.460 in San Francisco.

00:51:26.220 Two more Walgreens stores

00:51:27.520 closed up shop.

00:51:28.420 Another location will

00:51:29.720 close later this week.

00:51:31.480 These are among a string

00:51:32.360 of closings in the city.

00:51:33.340 22 Walgreens have closed

00:51:34.780 already due to the

00:51:35.820 effective decriminalization

00:51:37.800 of shoplifting in the state.

00:51:39.520 A representative from one

00:51:40.480 of the local Walgreens

00:51:41.240 branches in the city

00:51:42.040 sent a statement to ABC,

00:51:43.380 quote, due largely to

00:51:44.660 ongoing organized retail

00:51:46.020 theft, we have made the

00:51:47.100 difficult decision to

00:51:47.980 close five stores across

00:51:49.220 San Francisco.

00:51:49.920 Five more stores,

00:51:50.620 anyway.

00:51:51.200 Each store will transfer

00:51:52.080 prescriptions to a nearby

00:51:53.060 Walgreens location within a

00:51:54.200 mile radius, and we expect

00:51:55.560 to place the stores, team

00:51:56.640 members, and other nearby

00:51:57.580 locations.

00:51:58.080 Organized retail theft

00:51:59.300 continues to be a challenge

00:52:00.760 facing retailers across

00:52:01.840 San Francisco, and we are

00:52:02.760 not immune to that.

00:52:04.000 Retail theft across our

00:52:04.940 San Francisco stores has

00:52:05.980 continued to increase in

00:52:07.000 the past few months to five

00:52:08.620 times our chain average.

00:52:11.200 Now, Walgreens is not the

00:52:12.200 only chain affected.

00:52:13.300 A Safeway location in the

00:52:14.340 city was recently forced to

00:52:16.140 cut its hours due to off-the-

00:52:18.080 charts, quote-unquote,

00:52:19.000 shoplifting.

00:52:20.180 Now, that store had been

00:52:21.120 open 24 hours, but it's just

00:52:23.280 not possible to run a 24-hour

00:52:25.100 operation in a city where

00:52:26.460 theft is legal.

00:52:27.220 You know, we've seen how

00:52:29.620 bad it could be in the

00:52:30.320 middle of the day.

00:52:31.020 Now, imagine 3 a.m., how

00:52:32.500 bad it must be.

00:52:33.560 So, now that store will

00:52:34.280 close at 9 p.m.

00:52:35.140 each night, which means

00:52:36.400 lots of employees at that

00:52:37.720 location will, we can

00:52:39.100 assume, lose their jobs.

00:52:41.220 A Target store also closed

00:52:42.700 recently for the same

00:52:43.500 reason.

00:52:44.320 And it's not just big

00:52:45.140 chains being slammed either.

00:52:46.840 Every day, it seems,

00:52:47.680 there's another video of

00:52:48.520 somebody walking into a

00:52:49.620 random local store somewhere

00:52:51.840 in the city and walking out

00:52:53.960 with armfuls of

00:52:54.800 merchandise.

00:52:55.520 Here's the latest footage

00:52:56.340 from some boutique shop in

00:52:58.320 town.

00:52:59.340 We'll watch this.

00:53:07.420 So, the guy walks in.

00:53:08.520 He gets a nice greeting from

00:53:09.400 the woman running the store.

00:53:10.800 Kind of looks around like he's

00:53:11.580 shopping.

00:53:12.640 And he is shopping in a

00:53:14.420 certain way.

00:53:17.420 Yeah, why not grab all the

00:53:18.360 jeans?

00:53:19.300 Just grabs a whole stack of

00:53:20.360 jeans.

00:53:23.640 Most of those won't fit him,

00:53:25.080 but...

00:53:25.480 Yeah, and then grabs some

00:53:28.160 other clothes and he walks

00:53:28.920 right out.

00:53:31.380 And then you always see the

00:53:32.620 impotent employee walking.

00:53:34.780 After the person is left, the

00:53:37.220 employee shows up in the frame

00:53:38.720 on the phone.

00:53:40.180 Who are you going to call?

00:53:41.820 The Ghostbusters?

00:53:42.880 There's no one to call here.

00:53:44.080 No one's going to arrest that

00:53:45.880 guy.

00:53:46.120 No one's going to prosecute him.

00:53:47.060 And the cops won't arrest him

00:53:49.580 because he's not going to be

00:53:50.720 prosecuted.

00:53:53.060 And we know this problem is not

00:53:54.420 contained to San Francisco.

00:53:55.480 Similar scenes have unfolded in

00:53:56.680 Chicago, Miami, New York, Los

00:53:58.140 Angeles.

00:53:58.800 All of these cities have cut back

00:54:00.340 on or entirely given up on

00:54:02.400 prosecuting so-called

00:54:04.040 nonviolent criminals, which has

00:54:05.860 given those criminals the green

00:54:07.160 light to do what they do best.

00:54:10.200 Shocking result here.

00:54:12.640 Apparently, when you don't

00:54:13.680 prosecute certain crimes, you get

00:54:15.620 more of those crimes.

00:54:17.960 Now, these videos are generally

00:54:19.400 shared by people who are

00:54:20.580 outraged by what they see.

00:54:22.440 And I understand the outrage. 1.00

00:54:24.100 It offends us to see scumbag 1.00

00:54:26.420 criminals running amok, doing 1.00

00:54:28.300 what they please with no

00:54:29.560 consequence.

00:54:30.580 We want to see them punished.

00:54:32.340 And that is a good and properly

00:54:33.700 ordered desire.

00:54:34.660 It's a desire for justice.

00:54:36.540 And we should desire that.

00:54:39.100 But what we should not feel is

00:54:41.320 any sympathy for the quote unquote

00:54:42.800 victims here.

00:54:44.380 As mean as it might sound to say

00:54:46.300 it now, it's good to feel

00:54:48.280 sympathy.

00:54:50.420 Generally, that's a good

00:54:51.480 instinct to have.

00:54:52.640 But we need to get past that in

00:54:54.080 this case, because we have to

00:54:55.820 remember that the people of

00:54:56.740 California quite literally asked

00:54:58.840 for this.

00:54:59.380 So, yes, I am victim blaming.

00:55:02.720 Very often victim blaming is

00:55:04.400 appropriate.

00:55:04.800 Very often we find that in many

00:55:08.020 types of situations, the victims

00:55:10.980 deserve the quote unquote victims

00:55:12.500 have a certain amount of the onus

00:55:14.280 falls on them as well.

00:55:15.200 And that is certainly the case here

00:55:16.400 because they went to the polls, the

00:55:18.740 people of California did, and they

00:55:20.540 voted on a ballot initiative to

00:55:22.160 effectively decriminalize

00:55:23.400 shoplifting.

00:55:23.860 So this wasn't even a case of 0.93

00:55:25.960 voting for some crazy left-wing 0.89

00:55:27.720 politician who then goes and put 0.96

00:55:29.860 these policies in place.

00:55:32.020 That's the way it's worked in some

00:55:33.180 of these other cities.

00:55:34.680 And there the citizens are getting

00:55:36.040 what they asked for too.

00:55:37.000 But in California, the proposal was

00:55:39.220 on the ballot.

00:55:39.940 They selected it.

00:55:41.700 They chose it.

00:55:43.360 They said, yeah, that sounds good.

00:55:44.720 I want that.

00:55:46.000 They sowed and now they reap.

00:55:48.780 It sounds not only harsh, but

00:55:50.380 perhaps nihilistic to say that we

00:55:51.900 should simply sit back now and let

00:55:53.460 the left-wing cities burn.

00:55:55.280 But it's not nihilistic at all.

00:55:57.260 It's the opposite.

00:55:58.780 We are letting people experience

00:56:00.680 the consequences of their own

00:56:02.380 actions.

00:56:03.740 We are letting them discover that

00:56:05.380 their actions matter, their

00:56:06.760 choices matter.

00:56:08.320 And that is not nihilism.

00:56:10.940 We are letting them have what they

00:56:12.680 chose.

00:56:13.960 We are allowing them to take their 0.99

00:56:15.620 nice-sounding liberal theories and

00:56:17.400 experience them in reality.

00:56:19.860 They're learning the hard way.

00:56:21.900 Because that's the only way they

00:56:23.000 will learn.

00:56:23.920 If they ever do at all.

00:56:26.040 This is one of the reasons why I

00:56:27.180 don't understand the conservatives

00:56:28.160 who were very eager to get a

00:56:30.140 Republican elected as governor in

00:56:32.180 California.

00:56:33.420 It was probably never going to

00:56:34.660 happen.

00:56:35.760 And it probably never will happen at

00:56:37.000 this point.

00:56:38.380 But there are a lot of Republicans

00:56:39.900 that were very, they wanted to get

00:56:41.200 Larry Elder in there.

00:56:42.120 They wanted a Republican.

00:56:44.520 But why should we want that?

00:56:47.040 Why should we want a Republican

00:56:48.840 sitting at the top of this dunk heap?

00:56:50.760 Why should we want a Republican

00:56:53.140 overseeing a collapsing system?

00:56:55.940 No, California is a left-wing

00:56:57.580 dystopia.

00:56:58.800 It's everything that happens when

00:57:00.600 leftists are allowed to do as they

00:57:01.900 please.

00:57:02.640 Why should we want a Republican

00:57:04.300 anywhere near that?

00:57:06.540 He can't save California.

00:57:08.080 Why should he try?

00:57:10.220 See, leftism proliferates in part

00:57:12.020 because the people who support its

00:57:13.300 policies and ideas have rarely been

00:57:15.260 allowed to experience them in their

00:57:17.240 fruition.

00:57:18.920 We have been saving them from

00:57:21.120 themselves.

00:57:22.460 We've been standing in the gap,

00:57:24.020 largely because we have to live in

00:57:25.420 this society, too.

00:57:26.320 It's one thing for them to reap their

00:57:27.760 fruits.

00:57:28.600 It's another for us to reap them, too.

00:57:31.200 But as the sane people flee the

00:57:33.500 dystopian hellscapes like California,

00:57:35.620 there is now finally an opportunity for

00:57:37.300 us to say, okay, have it your way.

00:57:39.460 Do as you please.

00:57:40.460 I wish it didn't have to be this way,

00:57:43.080 but it does.

00:57:44.580 Let them lay in the bed they've made.

00:57:46.820 Let California become everything they

00:57:49.000 want it to be so that maybe they can

00:57:51.520 discover that they never really wanted

00:57:53.160 it at all.

00:57:54.660 I think that's the only way forward now.

00:57:56.560 It's the only way.

00:57:58.560 And that's why I must say that San

00:58:00.000 Francisco and California are, by their

00:58:02.040 own doing, officially canceled.

00:58:05.340 And we'll leave it there for today.
