00:00:00.000 Today on the Matt Wall Show, woke virtue signaling at the Oscars is overshadowed by Will Smith's violent, cuckold rage.
00:00:06.440 We'll talk about that. Also, the White House calls for regime change in Russia and then says that it's not calling for regime change in Russia.
00:00:11.660 Plus, videos circulate allegedly showing the torture and murder of Russian POWs.
00:00:15.720 And Cory Booker is still shocked and appalled and heartbroken that Ketanji Jackson was asked to define the word woman.
00:00:21.480 Plus, a lesbian couple sues a fertility clinic after giving birth to a boy instead of a girl.
00:00:26.120 And in our daily cancellation, I'm forced to cancel televangelist Joel and Victoria Osteen.
00:00:30.820 I'll explain why. All of that and more today on the Matt Wall Show.

00:01:56.760 So I want to begin today with an exciting announcement.
00:01:58.880 Last week, we told you about my upcoming film, What is a Woman?, which chronicles my journey to answer the question of a generation, the question that so many people are now asking.
00:02:07.440 Along the way, I find myself tumbling down the gender ideology rabbit hole where I discover many disturbing and horrifying things.
00:02:14.140 Yet so much of it is also hilarious in the darkest way possible.
00:02:18.040 That film will be out in May.
00:02:20.140 Now, in much less important news, the Oscars were held last night.
00:02:24.660 It was an event that passed almost entirely without notice, if not for one incident, which we'll discuss in a moment.
00:02:30.960 Before we get there, it's worth reflecting on the fact that award shows used to be ratings bonanzas.
00:02:37.800 I mean, there was a time in the not-too-distant past when 40 million people, 50 million people, would sit around their televisions on a Sunday night
00:02:44.680 and watch a bunch of wealthy drug addicts give themselves awards for five hours.
00:02:49.800 Those days are long gone.
00:02:51.880 Soon, the era of televised award shows will be officially over.
00:02:55.060 They'll no longer exist at all.
00:02:56.320 And our children will look at us with bewilderment when we explain that once upon a time,
00:03:01.300 we used to actually watch celebrities give speeches about how great celebrities are.
00:03:06.080 They will certainly find that confusing.
00:03:08.080 I have always found it confusing, and I lived through that era in history myself.
00:03:12.220 The reasons for the disintegration of the once-popular award show genre are many.
00:03:17.560 One obvious factor is that the films nominated and awarded are increasingly obscure.
00:03:22.040 Last night, apparently, something called CODA won Best Picture.
00:03:26.920 Nobody has seen this movie.
00:03:28.500 Nobody.
00:03:28.980 There is a debate raging right now about whether the movie even technically exists.
00:03:33.220 Nobody knows.
00:03:34.480 If it does, nobody knows where to find it.
00:03:37.320 It seems that they just gave Best Picture to a movie that exists only as a hypothetical, like a theory.
00:03:43.220 It's an abstract concept.
00:03:44.980 And this is a reflection of the deeper problem.
00:03:47.220 Hollywood, infected with a terminal case of wokeness, is more and more insular with each passing day.
00:03:54.020 It's obsessed with itself, with its own moral superiority.
00:03:58.720 And that tremendous sense of self-righteousness has caused it to collapse in on itself.
00:04:03.960 One of the consequences of wokeness is that it obstructs a person's ability to see beyond themselves.
00:04:09.480 And this is true for anybody who subscribes to this cult or is indoctrinated by it.
00:04:15.640 But the effect is amplified by a million in Hollywood because its denizens are already living lives of incomprehensible privilege.
00:04:23.940 These people are already artificial, basically, self-obsessed, overindulged, coddled.
00:04:30.200 You can see why they're all leftists.
00:04:32.460 It is a worldview made for them and also, in large part, made by them.
00:04:36.600 They're not interested in even pretending otherwise anymore.
00:04:41.180 Now, they used to pretend.
00:04:42.280 They used to at least pretend.
00:04:43.380 There's always been the indoctrination, the leftist indoctrination from Hollywood, but it used to be a lot more subtle.
00:04:47.100 They used to pretend anyway to, you know, to be trying to appeal to a larger audience, to be able to relate to a larger audience.
00:04:55.200 That is over now.
00:04:57.080 Last night, judging by the clips that I saw online anyway, because, of course, I didn't, like everybody else, I didn't actually watch the show.
00:05:02.360 So they kicked things off by going political right away, wasting no time, just planting the flag right away.
00:05:08.500 This is what it's about.
00:05:10.020 And, of course, the first item on the woke agenda was to virtue signal about the fictional don't say gay bill that leftists have invented.
00:05:16.760 Watch.
00:05:18.020 We're going to have a great night tonight.
00:05:20.600 And for you people in Florida, we're going to have a gay night.
00:05:24.920 Gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay.
00:05:36.600 What courage. What courage. I mean, it's hard to fathom the bravery required to stand on stage in front of a room full of gay people and say the word gay over and over again.
00:05:50.620 This is this is what heroism is all about. And they kept playing the hits.
00:05:54.460 You know, later in the monologue, they threw in a bit about toxic masculinity and also Mitch McConnell.
00:06:00.520 Listen, you know, this year we saw a frightening display of how toxic masculinity.
00:06:06.600 Turns into cruelty towards women and children. Damn that Mitch McConnell. I know.
00:06:13.600 Yeah, because when you think of toxic masculinity, the first person that comes to mind is Mitch McConnell.
00:06:21.300 A little later in the night, Hispanic actor John Liguizamo took the stage to applaud Hollywood's representation and all of the beautiful Latinx faces. Listen.
00:06:33.520 Look at all these beautiful faces out here. All these beautiful Latinx faces. We got great representation here tonight, people.
00:06:43.620 Oh, sorry. Not not Latinx Latinx. Yeah, I always forget how to pronounce that made up word.
00:06:48.600 I'm not exactly sure what a what a Latinx face looks like, seeing as how there's no such thing as a Latinx person.
00:06:54.000 Latinx, at best, sounds like the name of a of a Hispanic only fans site.
00:07:00.080 It's certainly not the name for a group of people, especially because if this sort of thing is important to you.
00:07:05.300 There are already numerous gender neutral terms available to describe that group terms like Hispanic or even just Latin.
00:07:11.940 But again, wokeness is insular, self-referential. It's gibberish to anyone who is not already fully indoctrinated into it.
00:07:21.240 That's why the left has to work so hard and so desperately to indoctrinate children into the cult.
00:07:26.580 Because they know that adults who grew up in saner times are increasingly turned off by this sort of thing and are rapidly tuning it out in a literal sense when it comes to the Oscars.
00:07:35.660 That is, people were tuned out until the smack heard round the world.
00:07:41.380 Now, you've no doubt already seen this clip, but let's all watch it again for entertainment's sake.
00:07:45.540 If nothing else, watch.
00:07:47.860 He is praying that Will Smith wins. Like, please, Lord.
00:07:54.800 Jada, I love you. G.I. Jane 2, can't wait to see it. All right.
00:07:58.560 That was a nice one. Okay. I'm out here. Uh-oh. Richard.
00:08:14.040 Oh, wow. Wow.
00:08:18.880 Will Smith just smacked the s*** out of me.
00:08:23.200 Keep my wife's name out your f***ing mouth.
00:08:26.580 Wow, dude.
00:08:29.320 Yes.
00:08:29.800 It was a G.I. Jane jump.
00:08:31.860 Keep my wife's name out your f***ing mouth.
00:08:36.820 I'm going to, okay?
00:08:40.500 So I can, oh, okay.
00:08:44.420 That was a greatest night in the history of television.
00:08:48.620 Okay.
00:08:50.460 Okay.
00:08:52.600 Truly the most atrocious thing Will Smith has done since the Aladdin remake.
00:08:56.580 Uh, it's, I mean, he, this guy learned nothing at all after spending all that time with his auntie and uncle in Bel Air.
00:09:02.000 On the positive side, however, Smith's physical assault of Chris Rock completely overshadowed and drowned out all of the virtue signaling that came before it.
00:09:09.860 You know, all this like LGBT stuff, they had all the Ukraine stuff and like all that's out the window.
00:09:14.360 So the celebrities in attendance wanted the story to be about them heroically chanting the word gay, wearing blue ribbons in support of Ukraine.
00:09:22.740 They didn't want this to be the story.
00:09:24.180 That's also why you shouldn't buy into any conspiracy theories that the incident was staged.
00:09:27.900 Okay.
00:09:28.320 It was not.
00:09:29.460 That's a more absurd idea than the incident itself was.
00:09:34.140 Now, maybe the VMA circa 1997 may have staged something like this, but not the woke Oscars of 2022.
00:09:41.200 This is entirely real.
00:09:42.960 And we should admit the most entertaining thing that's happened at any award show in at least 25 years.
00:09:47.700 Personally, I might actually start watching these things.
00:09:49.600 If the whole show is just a bunch of celebrities beating the hell out of each other on stage, like a really well-dressed version of celebrity deathmatch.
00:09:56.040 But as fun as it may be to watch, that was nonetheless a physical assault, which was committed on national television in front of literally dozens of viewers.
00:10:06.940 Something tells me that if you or I had walked onto stage during an event of that kind or any other kind and committed assault against a presenter right in front of everybody, we'd be in handcuffs within 15 seconds.
00:10:19.700 Instead, Will Smith sat back down, enjoyed the rest of the show, even won Best Actor later in the evening, where he proceeded to cry and paint himself as the victim of the physical assault that he just committed.
00:10:31.960 Listen.
00:10:35.400 Richard Williams was a fierce defender of his family.
00:10:49.700 I'm being called on in my life to love people and to protect people and to be a river to my people.
00:11:08.160 I mean, Scientology really messes with your brain.
00:11:10.200 Just don't try it, kids, even once.
00:11:13.360 Only in Hollywood can a man assault another man and then 20 minutes later give a tearful speech about the power of love.
00:11:19.700 I'm a river to my people by smacking Chris Rock.
00:11:24.940 Also, keep something else in mind.
00:11:26.480 Will Smith, and this is the most important thing about this incident to keep in mind, he has bragged publicly on multiple occasions about the fact that his wife sleeps with other men.
00:11:34.960 He has long been out of the cuckold closet, very open about the fact that his wife enjoys jumping in bed with strange men.
00:11:42.080 So any temptation you might feel to take his side, to argue that this was a husband defending his wife's honor, as I've seen a few people, a few conservatives even have said, well, this is right.
00:11:52.580 This is traditional values.
00:11:54.140 Traditional values.
00:11:55.380 He's in an open, he's a cuckold in an open marriage with this woman.
00:11:58.460 He laughed at the joke at first and then looked over at his wife scowling and said, oh, this was him doing it primarily as this was another act of emasculation by him.
00:12:10.920 And any temptation you have to defend him must be mitigated by the fact that to Will Smith, defending his wife's honor does not include preventing other men from having sex with her.
00:12:24.000 So you can, you dare not joke about his wife, but you can have sex with her.
00:12:29.200 Now, that's a man of principle.
00:12:31.180 As a cuckold, there's no honor left to defend.
00:12:33.880 He doesn't have any.
00:12:35.180 Neither does she.
00:12:36.380 How can he defend what doesn't exist?
00:12:38.220 But then again, they did award best picture to a movie that doesn't exist.
00:12:42.340 So who knows anymore?
00:12:44.260 It's clear that the smack was not an honorable man fiercely defending his wife from an extremely mild joke about her hair.
00:12:49.820 It was rather a privileged yet broken and emasculated man lashing out like a spoiled child and doing what no normal person in this country would be allowed to do and get away with it.
00:13:00.680 He did what he did for his own sake because he could.
00:13:03.200 Later that night, he was filmed at an after party, dancing and singing while a crowd cheered him on.
00:13:10.400 You or I would be sitting in a jail cell right now still.
00:13:14.020 He was at an Oscars party prancing around with his golden statue.
00:13:18.760 Apparently, the trauma he suffered from Chris Rock's joke was not enough to prevent him from dancing.
00:13:23.960 You know, a golden statue can heal even the deepest wounds, I suppose.
00:13:27.360 Now, given that this was black-on-black violence and both men involved are fairly liberal, you may be wondering whose side the woke crowd would take.
00:13:36.700 Because it's maybe not immediately clear how this is all going to shake out.
00:13:41.100 But then when you think about it, there's no real mystery.
00:13:43.820 One of the central tenets of leftism is that words, especially words in the form of jokes, are violence.
00:13:49.640 I mean, they hate stand-up comedians the most.
00:13:53.940 And so, of course, assaulting a stand-up comedian, they love that.
00:13:57.880 The emerging consensus on the left, therefore, is that Will Smith was justified because Chris Rock's joke was a form of violence.
00:14:04.620 This was self-defense against a violent attack by a comedian.
00:14:08.120 That's the justification, anyway, as offered even by prominent politicians like Ayanna Pressley and Jamal Bowman.
00:14:15.780 But the real justification is that Will Smith is a non-white, left-wing Hollywood celebrity.
00:14:21.020 And so, he's allowed to do things that the rest of us peons cannot do.
00:14:25.240 That is the privilege of leftism.
00:14:27.660 An ideology that, in so many ways, exists in its own universe.
00:14:32.840 Now, let's get to our five headlines.
00:14:38.120 You know, the other, we've got to move on from this, but the other great thing about what happened last night is that,
00:14:47.560 and I also want to make clear, we're talking about this, and, you know, Will Smith's the bad guy.
00:14:51.580 He is the bad guy in this situation, but I don't really, you don't want to be too passionate in taking sides
00:14:56.960 because all of these people, you have to understand, all the people in the room, they're all scumbags.
00:15:00.800 All of them.
00:15:01.500 These are the worst people in the country, all in one room.
00:15:04.680 So, that's why I said, if they all just beat the hell out of each other the entire time,
00:15:07.500 then, really, we're all winners, I guess.
00:15:12.460 But, one of the good things is that now, this incident has given the virtue signalers online a new current thing to care about.
00:15:25.360 So, what you're going to find is that all of the people with Ukraine flags in their bio,
00:15:29.400 maybe they keep the Ukraine flags there, maybe not, but they're all now going to become alopecia awareness advocates
00:15:37.060 because that's what this is boiling down to.
00:15:38.820 Now, Jada Smith has alopecia, that's why she's bald, so that's what made the joke so horrible.
00:15:43.360 And now, if you go online, you're seeing all these people talking about alopecia awareness.
00:15:47.780 Like, for example, the New York Post, alopecia advocate praises Will Smith's Oscars slap.
00:15:54.900 He showed strength, quote-unquote.
00:15:57.640 It says, Will Smith was just defending his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, during Sunday evening's Oscars ceremony,
00:16:03.400 but for some who shared the same medical condition, they felt protected.
00:16:07.060 Ex-on-the-beach contestant, Zeralina Jackson, who also suffers from hair loss illness and is an advocate on social media,
00:16:15.660 is standing by Smith and his actions at Dolby Theater.
00:16:19.160 She said, I think it's inappropriate to make any joke about someone with alopecia,
00:16:23.340 as it's a condition that highly impacts mental health for that individual, and it isn't a laughing matter.
00:16:28.780 To be clear, I don't condone violence, but him defending Jada showed strength in my eyes
00:16:33.180 and was very comforting to see a man stand by his woman when she has alopecia.
00:16:37.520 Well, then you are condoning violence.
00:16:38.960 I mean, that's literally what you're doing.
00:16:40.420 At least admit you're doing that.
00:16:42.440 You are condoning violence.
00:16:43.660 I don't condone violence, but I think it was strong and brave for Will Smith to smack Chris Rock in the face.
00:16:52.280 Okay, well, then you're condoning violence.
00:16:54.140 That, by definition, is what, that's what condoning violence sounds like when you do that.
00:16:59.500 And there's one other thing, too, that, because we're hearing this a lot now,
00:17:02.780 that's from alopecia advocates, which is a category I wasn't quite sure existed.
00:17:09.020 But, and we're hearing that, well, if you make a joke about someone with alopecia,
00:17:15.620 then you deserve to get smacked in the face, maybe more than that, maybe shot in the head, too.
00:17:20.940 But at the same time, this is also coming from people, even Jada Smith herself has said,
00:17:25.300 that's why she has the shaved head, you know, she's not wearing a wig or anything,
00:17:28.140 which is great, which is fine.
00:17:29.720 And she's saying, because I'm proud, I'm not ashamed.
00:17:31.500 And she shouldn't be ashamed.
00:17:34.440 And so we're getting this from the alopecia advocates, that, no, we're proud, we're not ashamed,
00:17:38.280 there's nothing shameful.
00:17:39.220 Totally agree.
00:17:40.640 But you can't have it both ways.
00:17:42.400 You can't say, I'm proud, I'm not ashamed.
00:17:44.360 But then at the same time, if you make a joke about this, you deserve to be violently assaulted.
00:17:49.880 So I want a special exception for me.
00:17:52.040 I'm proud and not ashamed, but I want a special exception where if you make a joke about me,
00:17:55.680 you can be violently assaulted.
00:17:57.100 Those two things don't really work together.
00:18:01.620 All right.
00:18:02.460 So Biden on Friday wrapped up his trip to Poland with a disastrous speech where he called for regime
00:18:10.240 change in Russia, something that nobody around him seems to know that he was going to do.
00:18:15.620 And from what I can tell, he had his scripted speech.
00:18:19.180 And at the very end, he decided to go off script and say this.
00:18:22.080 Listen.
00:18:23.100 For God's sake, this man cannot remain in power.
00:18:28.100 God bless you all.
00:18:29.680 And may God defend our freedom.
00:18:31.960 This man cannot be allowed to remain in power.
00:18:34.460 Sounds like you're calling for regime change.
00:18:35.960 If he's not allowed to remain, it sounds like you're saying that there needs to be regime
00:18:41.180 change.
00:18:41.920 Well, the White House has been trying to clean this up for the last several days.
00:18:46.040 Daily Wire reports, quoting a White House official, the president's point was that Putin
00:18:51.300 cannot be allowed to exercise power over his neighbors or the region.
00:18:55.180 He was not discussing Putin's power in Russia or regime change.
00:18:58.880 Right.
00:18:59.120 So that's the line, is that when Biden said this man cannot be allowed to remain in power,
00:19:05.800 he meant that he shouldn't be allowed to remain in power in Ukraine.
00:19:12.020 Although he's not in power in Ukraine, so that doesn't really make any sense.
00:19:16.060 Their way around it is to say, essentially, that Joe Biden said something he didn't actually
00:19:21.300 say.
00:19:21.640 They're just going to rewrite history, which is usually something that Democrats are able to
00:19:27.120 do quite easily because they have the media on their side.
00:19:29.740 Only in this case, to give you an idea of how bad this gaffe was, if you can call it that,
00:19:36.380 even the media has been calling him out.
00:19:38.340 So here's CNN, just to show you how bad this is.
00:19:42.060 Here's CNN calling Biden to the mat for this one.
00:19:46.740 Well, I think that the policy of this administration is not regime change.
00:19:51.800 Unfortunately, the message is confused, which is why President Biden, I think, kind of worked
00:19:57.080 himself up in this speech.
00:19:58.200 And then he made a comment that he did.
00:20:00.380 You know, but the White House's response, though, to say what he really meant is really
00:20:05.060 gaslighting American people.
00:20:06.340 We know that he really doesn't want President, he doesn't want Putin to be in power.
00:20:09.400 And they could have just said, listen, we all recognize that Putin is evil.
00:20:12.740 What he's doing is evil.
00:20:13.800 But the policy of the United States is, in fact, to get to a position of peace in Ukraine.
00:20:18.920 And we're going to arm the Ukrainians to make sure they can get to a negotiated peace.
00:20:22.560 The other thing I would say, too, is this isn't his only gaffe.
00:20:25.040 President Biden also made the gaffe about sending the 82nd Airborne into Ukraine, which
00:20:29.420 we're not doing.
00:20:30.400 And he also said that the United States would respond in kind if there was a chemical weapons
00:20:33.880 attack on the part of Russia.
00:20:34.960 So this really was it was not a good, I think, trip for the president because the three big
00:20:40.240 gaffes really are at cross purposes with the overall message from this administration.
00:20:45.860 Gaslighting the American people.
00:20:47.520 That's that might be have to check the Guinness records.
00:20:51.560 But I think that might be the first time that a Democrat has been accused of gaslighting
00:20:57.660 the American people on CNN or any mainstream left leaning outlet.
00:21:02.400 Now, we hear the term gaslighting all the time, but it's almost always used about Republicans.
00:21:08.700 That shows you how bad the screw up was.
00:21:11.720 Meanwhile, the other thing that happened significantly, I think, over the weekend relating to Ukraine
00:21:17.100 is that and I can't play any of them here and I wouldn't play them.
00:21:23.060 But all kinds of videos started going viral, allegedly showing POWs, Russian POWs in Ukraine
00:21:30.420 being tortured and killed.
00:21:31.860 There's one video in particular, multiple videos, but one in particular that's gotten
00:21:35.680 a lot of attention appears to show Russian or rather Ukrainian soldiers shooting Russian
00:21:43.960 POWs in the kneecaps where at least a couple of them proceeded to die from shock and blood
00:21:50.140 loss, as you might expect.
00:21:51.280 Now, this is the kind of thing, even though the media, as we just saw, has rare moments of almost honesty.
00:22:00.160 Those moments are rare.
00:22:01.180 And so this is something that the media is probably not going to chase down.
00:22:03.880 We're not going to hear a whole lot about.
00:22:04.880 But it does appear that there's human rights violations, war crimes being committed by Ukrainians on film.
00:22:13.560 I mean, they're the ones filming this stuff and posting it online.
00:22:16.460 So war crimes being committed.
00:22:20.780 On top of the fact that we already know that in Ukraine, there are literal, actual Nazi militias as part of the Ukrainian forces.
00:22:30.800 And they're the ones committing a lot of these war crimes.
00:22:32.840 And that's not Nazi in the way that we hear from the media, where if you say something they don't like on Twitter, then you're a Nazi.
00:22:39.440 No, no, no.
00:22:39.760 This is like actual Nazis, actual neo-Nazis as part of the Ukrainian forces.
00:22:46.760 So what we're supposed to believe, talk about gaslighting.
00:22:49.700 What we're supposed to believe is that the side with actual Nazis apparently committing war crimes on camera
00:23:01.460 is also the side that stands for democracy and freedom.
00:23:06.960 And that we must be willing, potentially, to get into a world war and lose millions of American lives for their sake.
00:23:18.180 That's what we're supposed to believe.
00:23:21.120 I'm not buying that, I have to tell you.
00:23:23.380 I haven't bought it from the beginning.
00:23:24.440 Now, I shouldn't have to qualify this and say it, but I will for, you know, slower people out there who get confused.
00:23:32.540 There are people who are confused.
00:23:33.540 And any time talking about Ukraine, if you do anything but, and this is still the case now, weeks into this thing,
00:23:39.320 if you do anything but talk about how evil Putin is, then some confused people out there will think that,
00:23:45.140 well, you must be supporting Putin.
00:23:46.180 No, I don't support Putin.
00:23:47.640 Or what he's doing or the invasion of Ukraine.
00:23:49.740 I want it to be over.
00:23:50.480 I just want the whole thing to be over.
00:23:53.340 I want it to be over for the sake of the people involved so that there's less bloodshed and fewer people die.
00:23:58.980 Already far too many people have died.
00:24:00.700 Also, the sooner it's over, the better for America, which is my primary concern.
00:24:05.200 If this thing is over and there's a peace agreement, then that means that America is not going to potentially get sucked into it.
00:24:10.180 The longer it goes on, it just creates more and more opportunities for the United States to get sucked into this.
00:24:16.680 Especially given the people running the country right now, our country.
00:24:20.480 So I want it to be over.
00:24:22.780 I think it's a terrible thing.
00:24:23.780 I think the whole thing is terrible.
00:24:25.920 But as I said from the beginning, when this whole thing first started, what you have to keep in mind,
00:24:32.780 and there may be a few people listening right now who are an exception to this.
00:24:35.840 There may be a few people listening who, for years, have been experts on Ukraine,
00:24:40.580 have been very interested in that region of the world,
00:24:43.580 are familiar with the longstanding disputes between Ukraine and Russia.
00:24:47.100 Maybe a few people, maybe like two people listening right now who fall into that category.
00:24:50.660 But putting you aside, everybody else, prior to this happening,
00:24:55.860 you never thought once about Ukraine in your life.
00:24:58.940 You know nothing about the country whatsoever.
00:25:01.460 You know nothing about the disputes leading up to this moment.
00:25:07.120 You know nothing about what precipitated Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
00:25:14.220 You know nothing about any of that.
00:25:16.200 You don't know anything about the Ukrainian government
00:25:18.700 that we're supposed to be assisting and that we're sending money to and everything else.
00:25:23.800 And given that you don't know anything about it, that's why some skepticism is required.
00:25:31.740 If you don't know anything about it and everything you're hearing is from the media
00:25:36.040 and it's war propaganda being fed to you by people who you know you can't trust,
00:25:43.580 who you know you can't trust on any other issue,
00:25:47.100 do you think war will be different?
00:25:49.200 Even otherwise trustworthy and honorable people can become liars and propagandists
00:25:55.880 when it comes to war.
00:25:57.260 So what about people who are already liars and propagandists?
00:26:03.320 What all this means is, again, it doesn't mean that we're supporting Russia.
00:26:06.280 It just means some restraint, some skepticism.
00:26:10.380 And when you're looking at what's happening in Ukraine right now,
00:26:12.620 it's just not as simple as you might want it to be.
00:26:19.200 If there are war criminals and Nazis on the quote-unquote good side,
00:26:23.300 that tells you it's not quite that simple anymore.
00:26:27.700 And it certainly means I don't want a drop of American.
00:26:30.560 I don't want an American to suffer so much as a paper cut
00:26:34.000 in defense of Ukraine.
00:26:40.040 If there's even a paper cut that somebody suffers
00:26:42.380 because of all the cash that we're handing over to Ukraine
00:26:45.600 in their government, their corrupt government,
00:26:47.320 I'm going to consider that a terrible tragedy,
00:26:50.580 that even that much blood,
00:26:51.660 that much American blood was spilled
00:26:52.780 for Ukraine.
00:26:57.900 All right, let's move to this.
00:26:59.120 Cory Booker is still offended
00:27:01.500 that Ketanji Jackson was asked what a woman is
00:27:04.400 as we've established, words are violence.
00:27:06.800 And so this was, in many ways,
00:27:08.400 a violent attack
00:27:09.460 by Marsha Blackburn on Ketanji Jackson
00:27:12.240 by asking her to define what a woman is.
00:27:14.160 Cory Booker was doing the rounds
00:27:15.800 on the Sunday shows,
00:27:17.180 and he's still just totally scandalized
00:27:20.020 by the whole thing.
00:27:20.560 Let's listen to that.
00:27:22.360 Provide a definition for the word woman.
00:27:26.660 Can I provide a definition?
00:27:28.360 The fact that you can't give me a straight answer
00:27:33.160 about something as fundamental
00:27:35.960 as what a woman is
00:27:37.840 underscores the dangers
00:27:39.660 of the kind of progressive education
00:27:42.080 that we are hearing about.
00:27:47.000 What was her reaction
00:27:48.260 when you saw that moment?
00:27:51.880 I think there were a lot of moments like that
00:27:54.160 that were deflating to me
00:27:55.560 and disappointing to me.
00:27:58.560 But the reality is,
00:28:00.220 you know, number one,
00:28:02.580 she could have had 22 senators in that room
00:28:05.320 as opposed to 11
00:28:06.080 who were asking questions
00:28:07.720 that were a bit beyond the pale,
00:28:09.300 and she still would have persevered.
00:28:13.160 Questions that are beyond the pale.
00:28:15.440 What is a woman is beyond the pale.
00:28:18.120 And of course,
00:28:18.960 we're not going to get from Dana Bash
00:28:20.180 the follow-up of,
00:28:21.120 well, can you define the word
00:28:22.160 since we're on the subject?
00:28:25.880 This is,
00:28:26.560 but Cory Booker says
00:28:27.320 it's beyond the pale
00:28:28.540 to ask a woman
00:28:30.640 what a woman is.
00:28:33.400 How dare you?
00:28:34.200 And that's been the media's line on this.
00:28:38.040 Like, what they're not going to do,
00:28:39.360 and you'll notice this
00:28:40.180 from the left,
00:28:43.840 there's been,
00:28:44.680 over the last week especially,
00:28:46.900 there's been discussion
00:28:48.400 about this question
00:28:49.860 because they can't help,
00:28:52.700 they have to discuss it,
00:28:53.740 they can't totally ignore it.
00:28:55.420 But what they haven't done,
00:28:57.540 what I haven't seen at all,
00:28:58.820 is an actual definition offered.
00:29:01.860 Because here's the thing,
00:29:03.000 any one of these people,
00:29:04.080 whether it's Cory Booker,
00:29:05.920 anyone,
00:29:06.380 I mean,
00:29:06.540 the politicians,
00:29:07.440 anyone in the media,
00:29:08.340 any left-wing advocate
00:29:09.340 with a platform,
00:29:11.940 any of them
00:29:12.860 could put an end
00:29:14.380 to this
00:29:15.060 line of attack,
00:29:17.380 the line of attack
00:29:18.100 which is just a basic question,
00:29:19.460 they can put an end to it
00:29:20.160 by answering the question,
00:29:22.780 by giving a definition.
00:29:26.460 If there's one that exists,
00:29:28.160 by giving a definition
00:29:29.260 that is coherent
00:29:31.020 and that makes sense,
00:29:33.000 and that allows women
00:29:36.060 to remain as a distinct
00:29:37.860 and unique category
00:29:39.100 while also not undermining
00:29:42.260 gender ideology
00:29:43.060 because that's the kind
00:29:44.340 of definition they would need.
00:29:46.680 Obviously,
00:29:47.200 they don't want to give
00:29:47.700 a definition that undermines
00:29:48.760 gender ideology
00:29:49.520 because that collapses
00:29:51.940 the entire house of cards.
00:29:53.380 They also don't want
00:29:53.920 to give a definition
00:29:54.540 that explicitly erases
00:29:56.820 women as a category.
00:29:58.540 What they don't want
00:29:59.140 to come out and say is,
00:30:00.420 well,
00:30:00.480 there's no definition
00:30:01.080 at all for the word
00:30:01.640 because women
00:30:02.280 aren't anything.
00:30:02.860 They don't want
00:30:03.100 to say that.
00:30:05.180 And because they
00:30:05.760 don't want to say that,
00:30:06.820 then that means
00:30:07.700 that all they could do
00:30:09.240 is come up
00:30:09.580 with a definition
00:30:10.140 that somehow threads
00:30:11.060 that needle
00:30:11.580 and none of them
00:30:12.420 have been able to do it
00:30:13.540 because it doesn't exist.
00:30:16.200 I mean,
00:30:16.380 they could do that now.
00:30:17.200 I mean,
00:30:17.300 I've got the movie,
00:30:18.040 I've got a whole franchise
00:30:19.380 around this question
00:30:21.040 and they could destroy
00:30:22.940 all of that
00:30:23.640 ahead of time
00:30:25.180 by just answering
00:30:25.780 the question.
00:30:26.860 I mean,
00:30:27.040 how embarrassing
00:30:27.620 would that be for me
00:30:28.540 if before I even
00:30:30.400 get the movie out,
00:30:31.400 someone on the left
00:30:32.400 actually comes along
00:30:33.080 and says,
00:30:33.300 okay,
00:30:33.400 here's the answer
00:30:33.920 and then I'm forced
00:30:35.600 to go,
00:30:35.920 oh,
00:30:36.160 okay,
00:30:36.760 well,
00:30:37.300 you had an answer.
00:30:38.500 But they can't
00:30:39.280 because it doesn't exist.
00:30:41.360 That's why I'm personally
00:30:42.220 willing to stake
00:30:43.320 my entire reputation
00:30:45.060 such as it is.
00:30:46.760 One reason I'm willing
00:30:47.520 to stake my reputation
00:30:48.100 is because I already
00:30:49.780 have a bad reputation,
00:30:50.760 but I'm willing,
00:30:51.720 whatever remains of it,
00:30:52.860 I'm willing to stake it
00:30:54.020 on this
00:30:54.780 because I'm so sure
00:30:56.140 that a definition
00:30:58.960 that threads the needle
00:30:59.960 we just talked about
00:31:00.720 doesn't exist
00:31:01.420 and can't exist.
00:31:03.540 But they can call
00:31:04.500 my bluff anytime.
00:31:05.740 They can call
00:31:05.960 Marsha Blackburn's bluff.
00:31:08.940 Related here,
00:31:09.740 AOC was talking
00:31:11.320 about paternity leave
00:31:13.160 and she was doing,
00:31:14.000 I think it was another
00:31:14.380 Instagram Live,
00:31:15.860 or it might be on TikTok,
00:31:17.140 I don't know.
00:31:18.160 But she has,
00:31:19.780 in case you were wondering,
00:31:21.160 she has also,
00:31:22.180 of course,
00:31:22.460 bought in entirely
00:31:23.320 to the idea
00:31:24.200 that we can't use
00:31:26.380 the word mother.
00:31:27.800 That's the M word
00:31:29.760 and that's offensive.
00:31:31.280 And so here's her
00:31:32.120 language of choice.
00:31:33.620 Listen.
00:31:35.040 And we do tend
00:31:36.000 to find that,
00:31:36.820 for example,
00:31:37.860 dads,
00:31:39.200 because we give it
00:31:39.860 to all parents,
00:31:40.820 whether you are
00:31:41.820 the birthing parent,
00:31:42.820 adoptive parent,
00:31:43.740 whatever.
00:31:44.060 dads sometimes
00:31:46.060 like to take
00:31:46.600 that first month
00:31:47.460 and then their spouses
00:31:49.800 will take time off
00:31:54.240 and then maybe
00:31:55.120 they'll try to take
00:31:56.080 additional time off
00:31:57.420 after their spouse's
00:31:58.500 leave is expired
00:31:59.440 or they'll take leave
00:32:01.080 while their spouse
00:32:01.880 is taking leave,
00:32:02.740 but it's up to you.
00:32:04.720 The birthing parent
00:32:06.060 is what we're going with.
00:32:08.100 Birthing parent,
00:32:09.980 birthing people.
00:32:10.840 There was also
00:32:12.760 something I saw
00:32:13.580 on Twitter
00:32:14.780 a couple days ago
00:32:16.080 which was,
00:32:16.860 and it's not the first
00:32:17.400 time I've seen this,
00:32:18.120 but the other label
00:32:19.460 that you see sometimes
00:32:20.340 now is bleeders.
00:32:24.900 I mean,
00:32:25.140 how much more
00:32:25.980 dehumanizing
00:32:27.100 and degrading
00:32:27.840 can you get?
00:32:31.100 And the other
00:32:32.400 funny kind of
00:32:33.080 ironic thing about this
00:32:34.080 is that
00:32:34.740 so often
00:32:36.320 what you hear
00:32:37.240 from the left
00:32:37.760 is that,
00:32:38.680 well,
00:32:38.800 we don't want to
00:32:39.160 define women
00:32:39.900 by just their
00:32:40.720 body parts,
00:32:41.720 by their,
00:32:42.220 you know,
00:32:42.980 menstrual cycles,
00:32:44.000 by any kind of
00:32:44.680 physical function
00:32:45.760 that way
00:32:46.200 because that's
00:32:46.480 very limiting
00:32:47.040 and that's
00:32:48.120 exactly what
00:32:48.600 they do.
00:32:50.320 Literally
00:32:50.840 defining
00:32:51.420 bleeder,
00:32:53.460 reducing women
00:32:54.960 down just
00:32:55.680 to that
00:32:56.280 or even
00:32:58.040 birthing
00:32:58.520 person.
00:33:01.760 So while
00:33:02.560 they say
00:33:02.900 they don't
00:33:03.080 want to
00:33:03.220 reduce women
00:33:03.800 to their
00:33:04.420 biological
00:33:04.980 functions
00:33:05.600 or to their
00:33:05.940 body parts,
00:33:06.560 that is
00:33:06.840 precisely
00:33:07.520 exactly what
00:33:08.640 they do.
00:33:09.900 One other
00:33:11.660 thing on a
00:33:12.040 similar note
00:33:12.480 here,
00:33:12.660 this is from
00:33:12.840 the New York
00:33:13.100 Post,
00:33:15.600 it's almost
00:33:18.060 incredible,
00:33:18.680 like it's
00:33:18.920 almost hard
00:33:19.360 to believe
00:33:19.700 this,
00:33:20.000 and I
00:33:20.240 remember I
00:33:20.860 first saw
00:33:21.420 claims of
00:33:22.040 this online
00:33:22.580 and I
00:33:22.860 thought,
00:33:23.120 you know,
00:33:24.360 really?
00:33:24.900 Did they go
00:33:25.320 that far?
00:33:25.780 Apparently
00:33:26.060 they did.
00:33:26.480 So an
00:33:27.200 image of
00:33:27.760 controversial
00:33:28.260 transgender
00:33:28.880 swimmer
00:33:29.360 Leah Thomas
00:33:29.940 that aired
00:33:30.460 on the
00:33:31.100 Today Show
00:33:31.620 was manipulated
00:33:33.000 to make
00:33:33.580 her,
00:33:34.080 well,
00:33:34.800 I'm reading
00:33:35.160 the language
00:33:35.540 from the
00:33:35.840 article which
00:33:36.240 says her,
00:33:37.300 but it's
00:33:37.800 actually him,
00:33:38.360 so I guess
00:33:38.660 I'll just
00:33:38.920 change that,
00:33:39.760 was manipulated
00:33:40.620 to make him
00:33:41.340 appear more
00:33:41.860 feminine,
00:33:42.860 experts said.
00:33:46.640 Jonathan
00:33:47.080 Gallagos,
00:33:47.940 a former
00:33:48.220 White House
00:33:48.520 director of
00:33:48.920 digital content
00:33:49.360 for President
00:33:49.660 Trump,
00:33:49.920 said the
00:33:50.240 edited image
00:33:51.020 has definitely
00:33:51.560 undergone some
00:33:52.260 sort of softening
00:33:53.120 and smoothing
00:33:53.800 effect.
00:33:54.780 It's clear this
00:33:55.400 job was not
00:33:56.400 done by a
00:33:56.900 professional.
00:33:58.040 This level of
00:33:58.860 skin smoothing
00:33:59.500 is a hallmark
00:34:00.100 sign of an
00:34:00.540 amateur job.
00:34:02.280 Another
00:34:02.460 photographer said,
00:34:03.140 well,
00:34:03.280 that's really
00:34:03.640 bad.
00:34:04.740 So you have
00:34:05.020 photographers,
00:34:05.820 people who are
00:34:06.240 involved in
00:34:06.820 digital editing
00:34:07.420 that have
00:34:07.740 said that
00:34:08.160 the Today
00:34:10.680 Show actually
00:34:11.440 doctored an
00:34:12.600 image of
00:34:13.620 Lea Thomas
00:34:14.180 in the pool
00:34:15.840 to kind of
00:34:16.440 smooth his
00:34:17.300 features out
00:34:17.880 a little bit
00:34:18.300 more and
00:34:18.960 make him
00:34:19.340 look feminine.
00:34:21.280 So they're
00:34:21.560 kind of,
00:34:22.600 after the
00:34:23.180 fact,
00:34:23.480 what did
00:34:24.600 they do?
00:34:24.840 They removed
00:34:25.300 facial lines,
00:34:28.400 skin discoloration,
00:34:30.200 notable red
00:34:30.740 impressions on
00:34:31.680 his face caused
00:34:32.440 by goggles,
00:34:33.600 whatever,
00:34:33.860 and blurred
00:34:34.840 the Adam's
00:34:35.480 apple.
00:34:38.040 The show
00:34:38.600 later ran
00:34:39.140 the original
00:34:39.620 photo,
00:34:40.220 warts and
00:34:40.800 all,
00:34:41.200 in a clip
00:34:41.740 posted to
00:34:42.240 Twitter on
00:34:42.740 March 18th.
00:34:45.580 So maybe
00:34:46.260 the Today
00:34:46.600 Show will
00:34:46.900 try to defend
00:34:47.400 itself,
00:34:47.900 but right
00:34:48.180 now they
00:34:48.400 haven't said
00:34:48.740 anything about
00:34:49.240 this and
00:34:49.600 they probably
00:34:50.040 will try
00:34:51.360 to just
00:34:51.660 ignore it.
00:34:52.240 But if
00:34:53.060 they do
00:34:53.300 have to
00:34:53.480 defend
00:34:53.660 themselves,
00:34:54.000 maybe they'll
00:34:54.320 say this
00:34:54.660 was a rogue
00:34:55.140 editor or
00:34:55.640 something that
00:34:56.000 did this on
00:34:56.400 their own.
00:34:56.700 I'd be very
00:34:57.100 skeptical of
00:34:57.580 that.
00:34:59.280 But there
00:34:59.740 was a decision
00:35:00.260 made in
00:35:00.920 editing to
00:35:03.400 try to
00:35:03.920 make this
00:35:04.360 guy look
00:35:04.900 more feminine,
00:35:05.520 look more
00:35:05.820 like a
00:35:06.340 woman.
00:35:07.960 And of
00:35:08.220 course,
00:35:08.460 even after
00:35:08.940 the camera
00:35:10.320 tricks and
00:35:10.800 the Photoshop,
00:35:11.420 he still
00:35:11.760 looks like
00:35:12.080 a man.
00:35:13.240 A slightly
00:35:14.020 feminized
00:35:14.580 man,
00:35:14.840 but still
00:35:15.120 a man.
00:35:17.880 And they
00:35:18.700 do this
00:35:19.140 even though
00:35:19.680 they say
00:35:20.260 that there's
00:35:22.940 no reason
00:35:23.460 why having
00:35:24.600 a prominent
00:35:25.800 Adam's apple
00:35:26.600 or having
00:35:27.960 any traditionally
00:35:29.300 male feature
00:35:30.060 at all should
00:35:30.540 preclude you
00:35:31.000 from being a
00:35:31.400 woman.
00:35:32.400 They say
00:35:33.040 that and
00:35:33.380 then yet
00:35:33.780 after the
00:35:34.200 fact,
00:35:34.400 they're going
00:35:34.540 to try
00:35:34.760 to give
00:35:35.420 Leah Thomas
00:35:37.880 a little bit
00:35:38.280 of an assist
00:35:39.100 by feminizing
00:35:40.440 him in the
00:35:41.180 post-edit.
00:35:42.800 I mean,
00:35:42.960 it's just,
00:35:43.580 as I said,
00:35:44.440 almost surprising,
00:35:46.060 almost,
00:35:46.780 that they would
00:35:47.140 go that far.
00:35:48.460 Let's get now
00:35:49.100 to the comment
00:35:49.440 section.
00:35:50.140 Daily cancellations
00:35:51.500 are the law
00:35:52.240 and order of
00:35:53.060 the day.
00:35:55.620 We're the
00:35:56.140 sweet baby
00:35:56.720 gang.
00:35:59.820 All right,
00:36:00.380 let's try
00:36:02.500 one video
00:36:03.560 comment.
00:36:04.260 Let's go
00:36:04.820 to clip
00:36:05.100 16.
00:36:06.520 Hello,
00:36:07.120 Supreme
00:36:07.440 Leader Walsh.
00:36:08.620 I think
00:36:09.400 I may have
00:36:10.220 done the
00:36:10.720 impossible
00:36:11.360 and come
00:36:13.160 up with a
00:36:13.840 definition for
00:36:14.940 what is a
00:36:15.720 woman from
00:36:16.620 the left's
00:36:17.220 perspective.
00:36:18.380 And as
00:36:19.460 always,
00:36:20.420 the conservatives
00:36:21.120 have to do
00:36:21.740 everything for
00:36:22.740 them.
00:36:23.160 So I will
00:36:23.940 give you my
00:36:25.060 definition from
00:36:26.060 a leftist
00:36:26.520 perspective.
00:36:26.980 one who
00:36:28.960 intentionally
00:36:29.620 identifies with
00:36:30.760 or attempts
00:36:31.820 to physically
00:36:32.480 embody or
00:36:33.220 emulate or
00:36:34.160 fulfill the
00:36:35.100 social and
00:36:35.880 behavioral roles
00:36:36.820 generally and
00:36:37.640 historically attributed
00:36:38.740 in the sign to
00:36:39.800 adult human
00:36:40.560 females.
00:36:42.080 Perhaps.
00:36:44.040 Perhaps it
00:36:45.160 works for
00:36:46.100 their perception
00:36:47.420 of what a
00:36:48.100 woman is
00:36:48.580 supposed to
00:36:49.240 be.
00:36:49.860 I would
00:36:50.400 like you
00:36:51.080 to debunk
00:36:51.900 my
00:36:52.860 assessment.
00:36:54.480 sweet baby
00:36:56.560 gang for
00:36:56.940 life.
00:36:58.800 It is funny
00:36:59.820 that I have
00:37:00.740 to say that
00:37:01.180 the best
00:37:01.860 attempts at
00:37:02.600 coming up
00:37:02.920 with a
00:37:03.120 definition from
00:37:04.220 a leftist
00:37:04.720 perspective have
00:37:05.320 all been from
00:37:06.360 conservatives.
00:37:07.040 So that was
00:37:07.380 I'll give you
00:37:08.840 this.
00:37:11.740 That's as
00:37:13.700 good as it's
00:37:14.380 going to get.
00:37:16.120 And it's
00:37:16.980 good because
00:37:17.900 it's a whole
00:37:18.500 lot of words.
00:37:19.740 And I mean
00:37:20.040 you've learned
00:37:21.180 from listening to
00:37:22.280 the left the
00:37:22.980 way the game
00:37:23.420 is played.
00:37:24.280 And so you
00:37:24.500 have a whole
00:37:24.960 bunch of
00:37:25.420 words which
00:37:26.000 are all
00:37:26.380 trying to
00:37:26.820 obscure the
00:37:27.320 fact that
00:37:27.740 there's actually
00:37:28.240 nothing being
00:37:28.900 said here at
00:37:29.420 all.
00:37:29.600 So a whole
00:37:29.840 bunch of
00:37:30.120 words and it
00:37:30.840 makes it
00:37:31.060 sound really
00:37:31.400 complicated.
00:37:32.300 And then in
00:37:32.560 the middle of
00:37:33.060 it you forget
00:37:33.480 what's even
00:37:33.800 being talked
00:37:34.280 about.
00:37:34.660 And then at
00:37:34.880 the end
00:37:35.100 they say oh
00:37:35.500 see I proved
00:37:35.920 my point.
00:37:36.380 And you say
00:37:36.620 well okay I
00:37:37.560 guess you did.
00:37:38.200 I lost
00:37:38.700 track.
00:37:40.540 Remember I
00:37:41.020 talked about
00:37:41.420 when we
00:37:41.600 announced this
00:37:42.040 film.
00:37:42.380 This is the
00:37:43.140 method of
00:37:45.180 the leftist
00:37:45.580 when it comes
00:37:46.000 to everything
00:37:46.560 but especially
00:37:47.140 the gender
00:37:47.560 issue is just
00:37:48.140 to get you
00:37:48.460 lost out in
00:37:49.180 the weeds.
00:37:50.340 And so you
00:37:51.060 have executed
00:37:53.600 that strategy
00:37:56.080 I think very
00:37:57.160 well.
00:37:58.760 But what you
00:37:59.300 just said
00:37:59.760 really boils
00:38:00.420 down to I
00:38:01.660 mean if I
00:38:02.060 were to strip
00:38:02.620 away all the
00:38:03.680 complicated language
00:38:04.560 and the
00:38:04.820 wordiness of
00:38:05.440 it what you're
00:38:06.800 saying is that
00:38:07.540 a woman is
00:38:09.580 a female or
00:38:11.700 not a female.
00:38:14.360 That's really
00:38:15.040 what you're
00:38:15.320 saying.
00:38:15.580 A woman is a
00:38:16.080 female or not
00:38:16.740 a female.
00:38:17.040 Which is
00:38:19.620 another way of
00:38:19.960 saying that a
00:38:20.480 woman isn't
00:38:20.920 anything at
00:38:21.340 all.
00:38:23.880 That is the
00:38:25.020 actual definition.
00:38:26.020 You could get
00:38:27.040 rid of all
00:38:27.380 that and just
00:38:28.900 say that the
00:38:29.360 leftist definition
00:38:30.120 of woman is
00:38:31.520 that there's no
00:38:32.560 such thing.
00:38:33.980 It's kind of
00:38:34.400 a question based
00:38:40.080 on a false
00:38:40.600 premise they
00:38:41.140 might say.
00:38:41.840 The premise
00:38:42.340 being that women
00:38:42.820 exist in the
00:38:43.620 first place.
00:38:45.560 That's not a
00:38:46.820 definition but
00:38:47.460 that is the
00:38:48.180 answer.
00:38:49.220 That's kind of
00:38:49.700 the answer that
00:38:50.100 you gave.
00:38:51.480 If you were to
00:38:52.520 go deeper than
00:38:53.200 that we would
00:38:54.060 say that there
00:38:54.480 are also some
00:38:55.900 just logical
00:38:56.580 problems there
00:38:57.340 because what
00:38:58.260 you're saying is
00:38:58.760 that you've got
00:38:59.460 females who
00:39:02.120 are women
00:39:02.580 according to
00:39:02.980 that definition
00:39:03.460 I assume.
00:39:06.120 And then
00:39:06.760 people who
00:39:07.420 associate with
00:39:08.400 the things that
00:39:08.980 are historically
00:39:09.520 associated with
00:39:10.280 females and
00:39:11.360 they're also
00:39:11.860 women.
00:39:13.600 And so you
00:39:13.940 have these two
00:39:14.380 people who
00:39:14.940 are distinct
00:39:17.400 from one
00:39:17.860 another in
00:39:19.680 ways that
00:39:20.300 are immutable
00:39:22.200 and yet
00:39:24.440 they're exactly
00:39:25.100 the same
00:39:25.600 according to
00:39:25.980 that definition.
00:39:27.980 So a person
00:39:29.120 who is
00:39:32.080 something that
00:39:33.140 is a female
00:39:34.220 according to
00:39:35.480 that definition
00:39:36.060 is the same
00:39:37.060 as someone
00:39:38.120 who is not
00:39:38.840 a female but
00:39:41.420 perceives themselves
00:39:42.340 to be one.
00:39:44.480 So it's just
00:39:45.180 it doesn't make
00:39:46.200 any sense.
00:39:46.660 It's logically
00:39:47.280 incoherent.
00:39:50.300 But it takes
00:39:51.060 more than a
00:39:51.680 couple of words
00:39:52.320 I guess to
00:39:53.000 address so
00:39:54.220 that makes it
00:39:54.860 you know not
00:39:56.060 not bad as
00:39:57.020 far as these
00:39:57.400 things go.
00:39:58.680 Okay Justin
00:39:59.260 says well okay
00:40:00.240 reading now from
00:40:00.900 the comments and
00:40:01.940 by the way I
00:40:02.560 did go we
00:40:04.520 put up over the
00:40:05.040 weekend another
00:40:06.120 one of our
00:40:07.160 am I the a-hole
00:40:08.360 YouTube videos
00:40:09.860 where I go to
00:40:10.280 the am I the a-hole
00:40:10.980 forum on Reddit
00:40:12.280 and respond to
00:40:13.320 some of the
00:40:13.680 quandaries.
00:40:14.260 People you know
00:40:14.780 have situations
00:40:15.540 in their lives
00:40:16.120 where something
00:40:16.540 happens and
00:40:17.240 they're not sure
00:40:17.980 if they're the
00:40:18.580 a-hole the way
00:40:19.240 they responded or
00:40:19.940 if the other
00:40:20.280 person is so
00:40:21.060 they post these
00:40:21.860 moral dilemmas on
00:40:23.700 Reddit and they
00:40:24.340 get a lot of
00:40:24.740 bad answers and
00:40:25.500 so every once in
00:40:26.080 a while I'll go
00:40:26.520 and answer some
00:40:27.360 of them myself
00:40:27.860 and put it on
00:40:28.280 YouTube so I'm
00:40:29.180 reading some of
00:40:29.540 the comments also
00:40:30.220 from that video as
00:40:31.340 well as the last
00:40:32.060 episode.
00:40:34.680 Kaiser says I'm
00:40:35.680 glad to see someone
00:40:36.320 finally spreading
00:40:37.000 awareness about the
00:40:37.720 discrimination that
00:40:38.420 we free-range
00:40:39.180 tarantula owners
00:40:40.100 face.
00:40:40.720 Yeah because one
00:40:41.860 of the questions
00:40:42.340 on the am I the
00:40:42.860 a-hole thing was
00:40:43.520 someone talking
00:40:44.280 about people
00:40:44.800 bringing their
00:40:45.280 dogs to your
00:40:46.360 house and I
00:40:47.520 made the point
00:40:47.960 that of course
00:40:49.420 bringing a wild
00:40:50.900 animal to
00:40:51.580 somebody's house
00:40:52.360 as a guest is
00:40:53.300 completely
00:40:54.120 inappropriate and
00:40:55.540 we only would
00:40:56.260 allow that with a
00:40:56.980 dog.
00:40:57.300 We don't make
00:40:57.640 that exception
00:40:58.100 for any other
00:40:58.700 animal.
00:40:59.560 If I was
00:41:00.460 invited as a
00:41:01.240 guest to your
00:41:01.620 home and I
00:41:04.100 had any pet but
00:41:05.100 a dog and I
00:41:05.980 said can I bring
00:41:06.660 this pet with me
00:41:07.280 you'd look at me
00:41:07.800 like I was crazy.
00:41:08.720 If I owned a
00:41:09.380 tarantula and I
00:41:10.180 said I'm gonna
00:41:10.520 bring my
00:41:10.780 tarantula with
00:41:11.360 me he's free
00:41:11.980 range he just
00:41:12.580 wanders around
00:41:13.120 I'm gonna bring
00:41:13.660 him into the
00:41:14.000 living room with
00:41:14.440 me.
00:41:15.620 You'd look at
00:41:16.020 me like I'm
00:41:16.400 insane.
00:41:16.840 You'd say this
00:41:17.560 isn't my house
00:41:18.340 it's not a zoo
00:41:19.020 it's not some
00:41:20.500 kind of nature
00:41:20.980 center.
00:41:22.740 No different
00:41:23.340 for dogs.
00:41:26.420 Dean says Matt
00:41:27.400 must be joking
00:41:28.180 right that he is
00:41:29.020 walking around his
00:41:29.720 house in shoes
00:41:30.500 that's something I
00:41:31.200 will never
00:41:31.500 understand walking
00:41:32.340 around with your
00:41:32.860 nasty shoes in
00:41:33.620 your house.
00:41:33.960 no I don't
00:41:35.520 walk around my
00:41:37.960 house in my
00:41:38.620 shoes but my
00:41:39.300 point is that if
00:41:41.320 you're if I'm
00:41:41.840 inviting a stranger
00:41:42.680 into my house I'm
00:41:43.580 not going to
00:41:43.920 require you to
00:41:44.900 take your shoes
00:41:45.540 off because number
00:41:46.640 one that means that
00:41:47.440 the first my first
00:41:48.400 act as the host to
00:41:49.700 you as the guest is
00:41:51.020 to tell you to
00:41:51.460 remove items of
00:41:52.340 clothing which is
00:41:53.040 weird and second it
00:41:54.980 means that now you're
00:41:56.040 displaying your
00:41:56.840 disgusting feet all
00:41:57.780 over the place.
00:41:58.940 My feet are one
00:41:59.820 thing it's my house I
00:42:00.580 can do that I don't
00:42:01.260 want to see your
00:42:01.660 feet.
00:42:01.960 Y Pefl says I'll
00:42:06.740 finally be getting a
00:42:07.480 DW subscription just
00:42:08.820 so I can watch what
00:42:09.760 is a woman.
00:42:11.440 Many such cases and
00:42:13.140 now's the chance you
00:42:13.820 can get 25% off if
00:42:14.740 you go get a
00:42:15.360 subscription right
00:42:16.700 now with code what
00:42:17.380 is a woman.
00:42:18.580 Cool Papa J Magic
00:42:19.620 says this whole
00:42:20.300 movement against low
00:42:21.040 self-esteem is not a
00:42:21.880 good thing low
00:42:22.420 self-esteem is there
00:42:23.100 to tell you that
00:42:23.660 something is going
00:42:24.240 wrong and you're not
00:42:25.020 getting the results
00:42:25.620 you want so it's
00:42:26.360 time to fix it
00:42:27.120 ignoring that mental
00:42:28.220 state instead of
00:42:28.880 using it as a
00:42:29.540 motivator to solve
00:42:30.660 your problems will
00:42:31.380 only make you
00:42:31.940 miserable.
00:42:32.860 I totally agree and
00:42:33.960 that actually segues
00:42:35.180 nicely into what we
00:42:35.920 talk about in the
00:42:37.000 Daily Cancellation
00:42:37.720 which we'll get to
00:42:38.220 now.
00:42:42.520 Joel Osteen is of
00:42:43.800 course the
00:42:44.260 motivational speaker
00:42:45.240 and self-help guru
00:42:46.760 who calls himself the
00:42:47.700 pastor of Lakewood
00:42:48.620 Church in Houston
00:42:49.340 which is co-pastored by
00:42:50.520 his wife Victoria.
00:42:53.180 Lakewood's website
00:42:54.000 invites you not to a
00:42:55.800 solemn and sacred
00:42:56.660 celebration of Christ
00:42:57.660 but to the Lakewood
00:42:58.740 Church experience with
00:43:00.060 Joel Osteen.
00:43:00.820 Much like an
00:43:02.480 Osteen sermon the
00:43:03.420 homepage does not
00:43:04.240 mention Jesus
00:43:04.960 anywhere instead it
00:43:06.040 promises that at
00:43:07.400 Lakewood we believe
00:43:08.220 your best days are
00:43:09.160 still out in front of
00:43:09.900 you whether you're
00:43:10.520 joining us in person
00:43:11.320 or online we invite
00:43:12.040 you to experience our
00:43:13.160 services and be a part
00:43:14.020 of the Lakewood
00:43:14.500 family.
00:43:15.360 The Bible says that
00:43:16.060 you are planted in the
00:43:16.940 house of the Lord you
00:43:17.820 will flourish get ready
00:43:19.220 to step into a new
00:43:20.220 level of your destiny.
00:43:21.480 So it's all about you
00:43:23.620 your success your
00:43:24.560 prosperity your
00:43:25.460 destiny all the
00:43:27.120 religion stuff if it
00:43:27.960 has any place at all
00:43:28.840 only exists to
00:43:29.960 facilitate and
00:43:30.820 ensure that your
00:43:31.840 earthly wealth and
00:43:33.800 happiness come to
00:43:34.480 fruition.
00:43:35.300 This is the essence of
00:43:36.540 the heretical prosperity
00:43:37.640 gospel as preached by
00:43:38.980 Osteen and other
00:43:39.740 private jet flying
00:43:40.740 televangelists.
00:43:42.020 To my knowledge
00:43:42.560 there's no evidence
00:43:44.240 that Osteen's
00:43:45.100 prosperity gospel has
00:43:46.060 actually helped any of
00:43:47.060 his congregants be
00:43:48.040 prosperous certainly not
00:43:49.940 in a spiritual sense but
00:43:50.940 also not even in a
00:43:51.760 material sense either.
00:43:53.880 Prosperity gospel leads
00:43:54.840 to poverty in every
00:43:55.740 sense of the word and
00:43:57.040 in all worst senses of
00:43:58.380 the word.
00:43:59.280 It's a different story
00:43:59.940 for the people on
00:44:00.860 stage peddling this
00:44:01.900 stuff though.
00:44:02.380 For Osteen and his
00:44:03.080 wife the whole
00:44:03.800 enterprise has been
00:44:04.600 enormously profitable.
00:44:06.660 Jesus instructed his
00:44:07.540 apostles the first
00:44:08.400 pastors to give up
00:44:09.960 everything and follow
00:44:10.680 him.
00:44:11.760 Osteen calls himself a
00:44:12.780 pastor and yet has
00:44:13.540 decided that everything
00:44:14.580 does not include his
00:44:15.640 opulent 17,000 square
00:44:17.760 foot estate or his
00:44:19.240 other mansions.
00:44:19.940 Or his private jet or
00:44:21.100 his many cars or his
00:44:22.600 50 million dollar net
00:44:23.560 worth.
00:44:24.700 Now there's nothing
00:44:25.300 wrong in and of itself
00:44:26.340 with being financially
00:44:27.120 successful but when
00:44:28.760 you're profiting to such
00:44:29.900 an obscene degree off of
00:44:31.620 your title as pastor and
00:44:33.460 displaying that wealth in
00:44:34.740 the most ostentatious way
00:44:36.260 imaginable it certainly
00:44:38.320 becomes a significant
00:44:39.080 problem.
00:44:39.960 A problem profoundly
00:44:40.860 accentuated by the fact
00:44:42.060 that the gospel he
00:44:43.440 preaches and which has
00:44:44.820 made him so rich has
00:44:46.640 nothing to do with the
00:44:47.420 gospel of Christ.
00:44:48.060 It is a worldly gospel
00:44:50.760 one focused on material
00:44:52.940 gain.
00:44:54.460 A gospel that promises
00:44:55.460 that faithful Christians
00:44:56.440 will be rewarded with
00:44:57.800 earthly success and
00:44:58.780 prosperity which of
00:44:59.560 course would mean that
00:45:00.760 all the many Christians
00:45:01.580 in the world who live in
00:45:02.440 abject poverty and in
00:45:03.860 misery I guess just
00:45:05.620 aren't holy or faithful
00:45:06.720 enough to earn God's
00:45:07.680 blessings.
00:45:09.300 Osteen flies over them in
00:45:10.440 his private jet looking
00:45:11.280 down and yelling at
00:45:12.040 have you guys tried
00:45:12.800 praying?
00:45:13.220 Yet somehow as bad as
00:45:16.360 Joel is his wife the
00:45:18.380 quote unquote co-pastor
00:45:19.620 who considers herself
00:45:20.460 qualified to be a
00:45:21.280 pastor based simply on
00:45:22.120 the fact that her
00:45:22.580 husband is manages to be
00:45:24.520 the worst of the two.
00:45:26.100 Now Victoria just to set
00:45:27.220 the stage here famously
00:45:28.880 preached a few years ago
00:45:29.960 that Christians should
00:45:31.740 live for their own sake
00:45:33.440 not for God.
00:45:35.280 Yes that is explicitly what
00:45:36.580 she said.
00:45:37.040 Let's remember this.
00:45:37.680 Listen.
00:45:39.820 So I just want to encourage
00:45:41.640 every one of us to
00:45:43.000 realize when we obey God
00:45:45.100 we're not doing it for
00:45:46.420 God.
00:45:47.040 I mean that's one way to
00:45:48.020 look at it.
00:45:48.800 We're doing it for
00:45:49.420 ourselves because God
00:45:51.080 takes pleasure when we're
00:45:52.700 happy.
00:45:53.520 That's the thing that gives
00:45:54.420 him the greatest joy this
00:45:55.560 morning.
00:45:56.360 So I want you to know
00:45:57.540 this morning just do good
00:45:59.660 for your own self.
00:46:01.560 Do good because God wants
00:46:02.720 you to be happy.
00:46:03.880 When you come to church
00:46:04.920 when you worship him
00:46:05.920 you're not doing it for God
00:46:07.520 really you're doing it
00:46:08.840 for yourself because
00:46:10.120 that's what makes God
00:46:11.620 happy.
00:46:12.240 Amen.
00:46:14.060 No not amen.
00:46:15.800 Do good for your own
00:46:16.660 self.
00:46:17.060 Don't worship God for God
00:46:18.120 worship him for you.
00:46:19.760 Because in the end it's
00:46:20.820 all about you Victoria
00:46:21.560 says.
00:46:22.500 And by you she means me
00:46:23.760 Victoria.
00:46:24.440 Really it's all about the
00:46:25.380 Osteens in the end
00:46:26.220 specifically because they
00:46:27.260 know that this message
00:46:28.160 though it may be
00:46:28.740 spiritually toxic is
00:46:30.260 nonetheless the most
00:46:31.000 popular and appealing
00:46:31.920 and ear tickling message
00:46:33.620 they can give.
00:46:34.860 There's a lot more money
00:46:35.860 to be made in a live for
00:46:37.180 yourself message than
00:46:38.240 in a live for God
00:46:39.140 message.
00:46:40.180 Now it finally takes us
00:46:41.060 to this past weekend
00:46:41.820 when Victoria the woman
00:46:43.800 who likes to play pastor
00:46:44.720 in her spare time tweeted
00:46:46.080 this.
00:46:47.500 Quote the scripture says
00:46:48.540 let the redeemed of the
00:46:49.660 Lord say so.
00:46:50.980 If you're going to go to
00:46:51.780 the next level you have
00:46:52.940 to say so.
00:46:53.820 If you're going to
00:46:54.240 accomplish a dream
00:46:55.080 overcome an obstacle
00:46:55.920 or break an addiction
00:46:56.800 you have to start
00:46:57.880 declaring it.
00:46:59.220 Now I'm not exactly sure
00:47:00.400 what she means by
00:47:01.420 next level.
00:47:03.280 Is she giving video game
00:47:04.640 tips now?
00:47:05.780 She might as well
00:47:06.620 claim that scripture
00:47:07.380 gives advice on how to
00:47:08.300 succeed in Mario Kart
00:47:09.300 because her actual claim
00:47:10.440 is just as absurd and
00:47:11.760 just as anachronistic.
00:47:13.800 She says that scripture
00:47:14.860 preaches self-actualization
00:47:17.620 and self-affirmation
00:47:19.060 calling on believers to
00:47:21.160 believe in themselves
00:47:22.060 and actualize their own
00:47:23.640 success by saying it out
00:47:25.220 loud.
00:47:26.700 The problem is that
00:47:27.680 nobody back in biblical
00:47:28.900 times was superficial or
00:47:30.400 stupid enough to buy into
00:47:31.780 or even conceive any of
00:47:34.100 this self-help psychobabble.
00:47:36.340 That line in scripture is
00:47:37.520 not about chasing your
00:47:38.460 dreams or getting a big
00:47:39.460 promotion at work.
00:47:40.760 In fact nowhere in
00:47:41.640 scripture are we told that
00:47:42.640 we can make good things
00:47:43.780 happen for ourselves just
00:47:44.860 by declaring it.
00:47:46.800 The line that she
00:47:48.340 references is from the
00:47:49.820 Psalms and in context it
00:47:51.080 says give thanks to the
00:47:52.600 Lord for he is good his
00:47:53.600 loving devotion endures
00:47:54.760 forever.
00:47:55.360 Let the redeemed of the
00:47:56.320 Lord say so whom he has
00:47:58.100 redeemed from the hand of
00:47:58.940 the enemy and gather from
00:47:59.820 the lambs from east and
00:48:00.720 west from north and south.
00:48:02.780 So what are we the
00:48:04.400 redeemed of the Lord
00:48:05.000 saying in this verse?
00:48:06.220 Are we saying that we
00:48:07.080 ourselves are special and
00:48:08.440 worthy and can achieve
00:48:09.400 anything we set our minds
00:48:10.360 to?
00:48:11.380 No the Psalms the Psalm
00:48:13.340 calls us to say to declare
00:48:14.720 that the Lord is good.
00:48:16.560 Not that we are.
00:48:18.500 Osteen like so many
00:48:19.340 heretics has skimmed the
00:48:21.000 Bible for one line
00:48:22.220 removed it from its
00:48:23.580 context infused it with a
00:48:25.700 modern shallow meaning and
00:48:27.620 morphed it into a self-help
00:48:28.780 mantra.
00:48:29.980 The kind of thing you say
00:48:31.040 while you're staring in
00:48:31.820 the mirror rather than
00:48:32.700 staring at the cross.
00:48:34.260 It's not only heretical
00:48:35.320 but sacrilegious.
00:48:36.820 Truly I would rather that
00:48:38.740 she take a Bible and burn
00:48:40.520 it on stage than take it
00:48:42.680 and turn it into an out of
00:48:43.900 context self-help bumper
00:48:45.340 sticker.
00:48:45.680 But this was somehow not the
00:48:48.460 worst thing she put out into
00:48:49.820 the world that day.
00:48:50.700 Earlier in the morning on
00:48:51.560 Saturday she posted this.
00:48:53.740 Maybe you've made some wrong
00:48:54.780 decisions but you've made a
00:48:55.940 whole lot of right decisions
00:48:56.920 too.
00:48:57.700 You're better off than you
00:48:58.560 were in the past and your
00:48:59.580 future is getting brighter and
00:49:00.820 brighter.
00:49:01.760 See yourself as successful
00:49:03.380 because what you set your
00:49:04.820 focus on will become reality.
00:49:08.060 Now this is what we might
00:49:09.040 call false optimism.
00:49:10.440 She breezily declares that
00:49:12.860 you, you as in everyone,
00:49:15.560 all people, whoever you are,
00:49:17.020 you are better off today than
00:49:18.300 you were in the past and your
00:49:19.260 future is bright.
00:49:20.360 She also says that the best
00:49:21.600 way to become successful is to
00:49:23.100 see yourself as successful now
00:49:24.640 whether that's the case or not.
00:49:26.780 Let's take the first part of
00:49:28.300 that prattling nonsense first.
00:49:30.620 You're better off today than you
00:49:31.600 were in the past.
00:49:32.140 Your future is bright.
00:49:33.940 Okay well that certainly is not
00:49:36.160 true for everybody in the world.
00:49:37.360 It's probably not even true for
00:49:38.320 most people.
00:49:39.840 Life does not universally
00:49:41.060 follow an upward trajectory
00:49:42.700 wherein each moment is better
00:49:44.660 than the last and by simply
00:49:46.280 existing until this point it's
00:49:47.780 guaranteed that you've improved
00:49:49.680 over time and that you will only
00:49:51.280 improve more in the future.
00:49:52.660 That's not reality sad to say.
00:49:54.400 That's not life.
00:49:55.960 That's the version of reality that
00:49:57.840 you hear from self-help swindlers
00:49:59.200 like Victoria Osteen because she
00:50:01.940 knows that you're more likely to
00:50:03.660 listen to her and give her money if
00:50:05.740 she makes you feel good about
00:50:06.720 yourself but it's a deluded
00:50:08.980 fragile good feeling.
00:50:10.440 It's not real.
00:50:11.480 It's not grounded in anything
00:50:12.920 true.
00:50:14.160 It won't lead you to true
00:50:15.340 happiness or contentment because
00:50:16.540 it's a lie.
00:50:17.120 It's a marketing gimmick.
00:50:18.200 A sales pitch.
00:50:20.000 See it it's hard to know what to
00:50:22.660 say to someone who is really
00:50:24.260 suffering.
00:50:25.760 Somebody who's fallen on hard
00:50:26.960 times.
00:50:27.420 Say for example a man whose
00:50:29.040 marriage has collapsed.
00:50:30.460 He's lost his family lost his
00:50:31.900 job.
00:50:32.280 His health is deteriorating.
00:50:33.780 That's not some kind of far
00:50:34.880 fetched hypothetical.
00:50:35.540 These are the kinds of things
00:50:37.360 millions of people deal with
00:50:38.480 every day.
00:50:39.800 But it's difficult to come up with
00:50:41.280 a message for somebody suffering
00:50:42.780 like that.
00:50:43.920 Somebody who's encountered real
00:50:45.420 hardships.
00:50:46.600 So the Osteen strategy for dealing
00:50:48.380 with such difficulties is simply
00:50:50.400 to pretend that the difficulties
00:50:51.520 don't exist.
00:50:53.360 They look at this man who has lost
00:50:54.800 everything and say chin up buddy
00:50:56.040 you're better off today than
00:50:56.980 yesterday.
00:50:58.540 He had everything yesterday.
00:51:00.040 Nothing today.
00:51:00.900 How is he better off?
00:51:02.280 In what way?
00:51:03.140 Well and how does it help him to
00:51:06.120 say that to him?
00:51:07.880 Well in no way is he better off
00:51:09.460 but the thin gruel offered by the
00:51:11.040 Osteens isn't substantial enough
00:51:13.200 to nourish someone dealing with
00:51:14.700 real troubles in life.
00:51:16.580 They have only bumper stickers.
00:51:18.180 That's all.
00:51:18.580 Nothing else.
00:51:20.000 And so they wave their magic wand
00:51:21.260 and say abracadabra and pretend
00:51:22.980 that everything in the world is
00:51:23.820 good.
00:51:24.620 Everyone's doing well.
00:51:25.500 And everybody lives in a 20 bedroom
00:51:27.980 castle just like they do.
00:51:30.300 As for the see yourself as
00:51:31.780 successful bit that's just terrible
00:51:33.300 career advice for one thing.
00:51:35.080 You're not going to achieve success
00:51:36.580 in the future by lying to yourself
00:51:38.520 that you're already successful
00:51:39.940 when you're not.
00:51:41.820 And you're not going to be successful
00:51:43.000 just because you exist.
00:51:44.400 Like you exist and you have a job.
00:51:45.860 Well I'm successful.
00:51:46.640 No you're not.
00:51:49.080 That's baseline.
00:51:50.180 That's bare minimum.
00:51:51.480 Unless success to you is bare minimum.
00:51:53.220 But if you hunger for more in life
00:51:55.680 then that's not success.
00:51:57.420 And why would you work for a thing
00:51:59.320 that you already have?
00:52:01.460 Success is not achieved through
00:52:02.820 self-delusion.
00:52:04.280 You're not going to obtain something
00:52:05.960 by telling yourself you already have it
00:52:08.080 when you don't.
00:52:10.600 Success is not something that you can
00:52:12.300 speak into existence by repeating a
00:52:13.980 mantra.
00:52:14.840 It's something you have to work for.
00:52:16.940 Work hard every day.
00:52:18.180 Step by step.
00:52:19.780 It also requires that you humble
00:52:21.400 yourself.
00:52:23.220 You must admit that you are
00:52:24.460 not as successful right now
00:52:26.500 as you want to be.
00:52:28.280 If you aren't willing to do that
00:52:29.720 you'll never achieve what you may
00:52:30.980 have otherwise been capable of
00:52:32.140 achieving.
00:52:34.020 Ironically the Osteens themselves
00:52:35.300 certainly did not achieve their
00:52:36.560 fantastic financial success
00:52:38.220 by taking the advice Victoria offers.
00:52:41.740 They did it by selling their souls.
00:52:43.600 Which is not something that you
00:52:45.100 have to do or should do if you
00:52:46.120 want to be successful.
00:52:47.140 That was simply their strategy.
00:52:49.660 And in the end I'd say it's why
00:52:50.980 they're both today canceled.
00:52:53.200 And we'll leave it there.
00:52:54.180 Thanks for watching.
00:52:54.720 Thanks for listening.
