The Matt Walsh Show - Ep. 929 - Award Winning Science Student Doesn’t Understand Basic Biology

00:00:00.000 Today on the Matt Wall Show, an award-winning student of the sciences tries to debate Ben Shapiro

00:00:04.400 about gender ideology, and the resulting footage shows us everything wrong with academia, the

00:00:08.280 sciences, and gender ideology. Also, a black supremacist commits a terrorist attack on New 0.97

00:00:12.980 York. There is a definite trend here that the media, of course, doesn't want to talk about, 0.96

00:00:17.220 but we will. Plus, a teacher puts on a drag show for students, and popular YouTubers face vicious

00:00:22.220 backlash for comparing abortion to the Holocaust. They're right, of course, but they weren't right 0.98

00:00:27.040 when they apologized. We'll talk about all that and more today on the Matt Wall Show.

00:00:39.560 You know, if you've been listening to my show for a while, you're probably familiar with one of our

00:00:43.260 top sponsors, Rock Auto. Recently, my producer, McKenna, told me about her own experience shopping

00:00:47.980 with Rock Auto and how great it was for her as a person who knows nothing about cars. It's a riveting

00:00:53.280 story, so let me tell you about it. McKenna was carpooling with her boyfriend during an ice storm.

00:00:57.040 And turn on his windshield wipers before he got in the car to help get rid of the ice.

00:01:00.880 But with this simple act, she destroyed his windshield wipers, and they had to drive in

00:01:04.760 the rain with wipers that barely could wipe the rain away. During the drive to work, she figured

00:01:08.520 it was worth checking rockauto.com to see if they had replacement options for the windshield wipers.

00:01:13.220 And sure enough, she was able to buy some new windshield wipers for the car that are

00:01:17.120 made to deal with ice and for a surprisingly reasonable price. So if you're like McKenna and need a

00:01:21.760 quick fix, or if you need to do some major repairs, you should check out rockauto.com. Once you go to

00:01:26.860 rockauto.com, a list will guide you through every single make and model that you could

00:01:31.040 possibly imagine, and you'll find everything that you need at rockauto.com. It gives you a

00:01:35.880 list of every part available for your vehicle. Included with the part descriptions are photos

00:01:39.880 and specs so you can feel confident that you're choosing the correct parts. So go to rockauto.com

00:01:44.000 for your auto part needs today and write Walsh in their How Did You Hear About Us box so they

00:01:48.540 know that I'm the one that sent you. That's rockauto.com to shop for your auto part needs today.

00:01:52.900 So I noticed last night that Ben Shapiro was trending on social media. And as I clicked on

00:01:58.700 his name to find out what he had done this time, I immediately learned from many left-wing accounts

00:02:03.480 that he had been apparently totally owned and demolished and destroyed in a debate with a

00:02:09.460 college student during the Q&A portion of his speech at UNC Greensboro this week. Now I confess that

00:02:14.300 I was a little biased maybe, but I was skeptical of this claim for many obvious reasons. Then I went and

00:02:21.840 watched the trending video in question and I discovered that my skepticism was certainly

00:02:25.860 justified, to put it mildly. More than that, in fact, the exchange encapsulates nearly everything

00:02:30.660 that's wrong with the left's approach to debate in general and debate about gender ideology in

00:02:35.740 particular. These flaws are only further underscored by the fact that the left is handling and applauding

00:02:40.280 the college student in spite of the fact that he, by any objective measure and speaking now 0.92

00:02:44.400 scientifically, made an absolute ass of himself. But don't take my word for it. Let's go to the tape 0.87

00:02:49.440 and watch some of this. I'm a mathematician and a physicist here, a double major, and I also just

00:02:54.760 won the most prestigious award in the country to pursue research at any institution I want,

00:02:58.560 the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship. So I think I'm pretty, you know,

00:03:02.600 qualified to say that most of what you're saying is based on, like, old data. But my question to

00:03:07.560 you, and so I want to automatically realize that. But sure. Um, like, for example, gender identity

00:03:12.580 disorder, that's the DSM-4, bro. We use the DSM-5 now for psychologists to be able to talk about- I literally

00:03:17.680 cited the DSM-5 in the speech, and it's called gender dysphoria, which is the term that I use throughout

00:03:21.680 the speech, not gender identity disorder. You sound like a bozo, bro. And you get no f***y, and you can't even make 1.00

00:03:25.300 your wife f***, bro, so it's good. Now, a couple of things here before we watch the rest of the clip. 1.00

00:03:33.280 First of all, the kid makes a number of false and confused claims right off the bat, but rather than

00:03:37.440 let Ben correct the record, he interrupts, calls Ben a bozo, because those are the insults the kids are

00:03:43.220 using these days, apparently, and makes an obscene comment about Ben's wife. Now, we saw how Will Smith

00:03:49.320 reacted to a comment about his own wife, and we saw that Smith was largely defended by the left for

00:03:53.640 reacting that way, but Chris Rock didn't deserve to be smacked in the face for making such an

00:03:57.720 incredibly mild joke. This kid, on the other hand, actually does deserve the Chris Rock treatment.

00:04:03.220 I mean, you don't talk about a man's wife that way. I understand why Ben didn't climb down from

00:04:06.860 the stage and up into the stands and try to commit assault during the YAF event, of course, but my

00:04:10.600 point is simply that this is a kid who needs to learn to watch his mouth. I mean, something has gone

00:04:14.840 seriously wrong in society when a young man feels comfortable speaking that way to another man about

00:04:20.900 that man's wife, and one of these days, he's going to run his mouth to someone who is not standing on 0.95

00:04:25.520 stage with cameras all around, and he'll learn his manners the hard way. Also, before devolving in

00:04:31.820 almost immediately into ad hominems, he begins by listing his credentials. The credentials are,

00:04:37.040 of course, completely irrelevant to the conversation and will not make his wrongness magically right,

00:04:43.280 and that's not to say that he's lying about the credentials, though. The most concerning and

00:04:46.740 disturbing thing is that he is not, apparently. The North State Journal, a newspaper in North

00:04:51.340 Carolina, they looked into this, and here's what they found. Quote, one UNCG student who got to ask

00:04:58.960 a question boasted about being a mathematician and physicist and recently winning a prestigious

00:05:03.260 National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Award. The fellowship, which NSF says is

00:05:09.460 the oldest graduate fellowship of its kind, spans five years, including three years of an annual stipend of

00:05:14.080 $34,000 and a cost of education allowance of $12,000 paid to the institution. A search of the awardee list

00:05:20.900 located four students, but only one individual, Quentin Jose Emerit, matched the questioner's description

00:05:26.540 and received an award in Physics and Astronomy, Quantum Information Science for 2022. North State Journal

00:05:33.080 reached out to UNCG for comment, but did not receive a response by publication time. Additionally, the Twitter

00:05:38.220 account for the physics department limited who can see their tweets after our reporter questioned them

00:05:43.540 about merit. So, apparently the kid with the bad haircut, who thinks you're a bozo is an argument, and who

00:05:49.900 accuses a father of three of being a virgin, and who thinks women have penises, and who couldn't even be bothered 0.99

00:05:54.940 to wear a shirt to the event, has indeed received a prestigious academic award. Now, rather than this fact 0.97

00:06:01.120 causing us to see the stupid kid in a better light, it should cause us to see academia in an even worse light 0.99

00:06:06.740 than we did before, which frankly, in my case, I didn't think was possible. Now, let's return to the clip and see what else 0.99

00:06:12.480 Sideshow Bob has to say.

00:06:15.300 So, number one, let me just say, the nice thing about having several small children that don't feel the necessity

00:06:23.580 to have my masculinity challenged by someone like you.

00:06:24.560 If we're using a Western colonial idea of gender, then why should it apply, if we're using, because the gender binary

00:06:30.960 is a Western colonialist framework of gender.

00:06:34.780 You're right, men and women don't exist in any other culture.

00:06:36.720 No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, think about Native Americans.

00:06:39.180 Nailed it.

00:06:39.780 Third gender people, I'm not saying that, third gender people exist in Native American societies,

00:06:43.120 Western African societies, like Southern Native American societies, like Mexico, so in other places 0.57

00:06:47.380 that are not white-dominated, like the United States or Europe, and so, so you're saying white,

00:06:51.960 so non-white people, I'm a mathematician and a physicist, you cannot tell me. 0.93

00:06:56.640 So, I have a question.

00:06:57.540 And also, you're not a biologist.

00:06:59.360 So, I have a question.

00:07:00.320 I'm 23.

00:07:00.800 As a mathematician and a physicist, what in the hell do you know about human biology?

00:07:04.300 And you got your law degree from Harvard.

00:07:06.040 What do you know about biology?

00:07:08.360 You got your law degree from Harvard.

00:07:09.660 And frankly, and frankly, I would ask another question.

00:07:13.460 If your logic is so flawed, as a mathematician and a physicist, I would suggest that whichever

00:07:20.900 institution gave you an award, revoke it immediately.

00:07:25.540 I'm a mathematician and a physicist, he screams, while making one erroneous and incoherent claim

00:07:30.520 after another.

00:07:31.480 He says that the gender binary is a Western colonial idea.

00:07:34.680 Now, even if this were an accurate claim, if it were somehow true that Western colonialists

00:07:39.920 were the first ones to realize that men and women exist,

00:07:43.460 that wouldn't in and of itself disprove the gender binary.

00:07:46.040 On the contrary, in fact, it would just be one more great and true thing that Western

00:07:50.160 colonialists introduced to the world.

00:07:52.000 It'd be another W for Western colonialism, I guess. 0.56

00:07:55.740 But sadly, Western colonialism cannot claim credit for that.

00:08:00.200 The so-called gender binary is as old as humanity itself. 0.88

00:08:03.220 It is decidedly not true at all, even a little, that non-Western countries have an idea of human 0.94

00:08:09.920 sex that falls outside of the binary.

00:08:11.800 In fact, every non-Western society on Earth and in the history of the Earth believes that 0.77

00:08:19.720 there are only males and females.

00:08:21.300 And I defy you to provide an actual example of an exception to that rule.

00:08:26.380 Now, they may, in some cases, have some version of cross-dressing or what we would call gender

00:08:31.120 bending or whatever, but they don't believe that men can actually be women. 0.99

00:08:36.680 The claim made by this leftist and by almost every leftist is the idea that men have penises 0.99

00:08:44.920 as uniquely Western. 0.75

00:08:46.200 Now, if that were true, you should be able to travel outside of the Western world and 0.99

00:08:50.440 find hundreds of cultures that believe women can have penises. 0.99

00:08:55.060 But you don't find that. 0.97

00:08:56.300 In fact, you don't find any cultures outside of the Western world that believe that.

00:09:00.060 But I should know.

00:09:02.260 I actually went to Africa and investigated this question.

00:09:06.440 You'll see what I discovered in my documentary, What is a Woman, when it's released in May.

00:09:09.540 You go to whatisawoman.com and see the teaser for that.

00:09:12.320 For now, suffice it to say that this kid is full of something and it ain't knowledge.

00:09:16.620 I can tell you that.

00:09:17.820 He mentions Native American cultures.

00:09:20.440 This is a reference to the two spirits, quote unquote, which is allegedly the Native American

00:09:25.000 version of transgenderism.

00:09:26.280 They put it into the LGBT alphabet thing now and they put it in there.

00:09:30.000 So it's LGBTQIA2S, whatever. 0.93

00:09:35.220 The problem is that the term two spirit was invented in 1990 by LGBT activists.

00:09:42.300 That's how far back ancient Native American history of 1990 is when they came up with this.

00:09:49.300 It is itself a modern Western concept.

00:09:53.140 And that's the theme here, if you'll notice.

00:09:56.280 It's an important thing to point out, actually.

00:09:58.700 It is gender ideology, not the gender binary, that is modern and Western.

00:10:05.480 Gender ideology was invented in the West by Westerners very recently.

00:10:11.440 Western liberals have taken this idea and tried to spread it throughout the world.

00:10:17.120 That is the sort of colonization that happens these days.

00:10:20.000 Gender ideology, it turns out, is not only modern and Western, but also in its own way, colonialist. 0.60

00:10:28.320 The worst kind of colonialism.

00:10:30.580 This is the ideological colonialism.

00:10:33.360 As the left, as liberals in the West, try to ideologically colonize the globe.

00:10:44.160 They may not be planting the flag of a nation.

00:10:49.280 Although, that happens as well. 0.94

00:10:51.340 But no, instead they plant the gay pride flag.

00:10:53.700 And that's the kind of colonization that happens.

00:10:58.900 So this kid was on exactly the opposite side of the truth. 1.00

00:11:04.260 Upside down, backwards, incoherent, angry, stupid, confused. 1.00

00:11:10.340 And yet, an award-winning academic. 1.00

00:11:15.640 It is terrifying to consider how often all of those things tend to go together.

00:11:22.300 Now let's get to our five headlines.

00:11:31.180 Well, I did mention ever so seamlessly my documentary, which is coming up, What is a Woman?

00:11:37.640 Again, you can go to whatiswoman.com and see the teaser for that.

00:11:41.180 And that's one of the things I was just thinking about watching that clip of this kid.

00:11:45.940 It's just, okay, wait.

00:11:48.620 We'll see.

00:11:49.800 Okay?

00:11:50.160 You can make these claims about other cultures in the world.

00:11:53.360 Have you actually gone there and asked them?

00:11:56.460 I did.

00:11:58.280 And you'll see how they respond.

00:12:00.560 You'll see.

00:12:01.320 I don't think you're going to like it very much.

00:12:03.300 But that is, as you know, that documentary and the book that's coming out as well,

00:12:06.440 which you can pre-order on Amazon.

00:12:08.060 Is what makes me.

00:12:09.160 I mean, that kid was an award-winning physicist, he claims.

00:12:14.180 But I am an award-winning women's studies scholar.

00:12:17.980 And before that, as you know, I was an award-winning.

00:12:20.700 Awards that I basically give myself.

00:12:22.700 LGBT author with my book, Johnny the Walrus.

00:12:25.380 And if you have not pre-ordered Johnny the Walrus yet.

00:12:28.360 And these books will actually be shipping very, very soon, I promise.

00:12:32.200 You can still go to Amazon and order Johnny the Walrus.

00:12:35.960 Or go to johnnythewalrus.com and get my award-winning LGBT children's book.

00:12:40.960 So you should do that right now.

00:12:42.260 Okay.

00:12:42.500 We'll start with this from the Daily Mail.

00:12:45.600 A multi-state manhunt is currently underway for the person of interest suspected of unleashing

00:12:50.280 hell on a Brooklyn subway train during Tuesday's morning commute as a gunman fired more than

00:12:54.760 20 rounds, leaving 10 riders wounded and 13 others injured in the ensuing chaos before

00:12:59.000 his automatic weapon jammed.

00:13:00.820 The NYPD released photos of Frank James, 62, who rented an abandoned U-Haul that's linked

00:13:06.520 to the shooting scene and who has made concerning, quote-unquote, threats against New York City

00:13:10.580 Mayor Eric Adams and railed against the city's homelessness crisis.

00:13:16.660 Commuters on the N train Tuesday morning describe how a man wearing a construction vest threw a

00:13:22.240 smoke grenade into their subway car when it was in between stations and then opened fire.

00:13:27.200 Terrified passengers tried to get out to the next carriage where the door was locked.

00:13:31.440 When the train pulled into the 36th Street station in Sunset Park, the gunman fled and managed

00:13:38.100 to escape in the middle of New York City and is still right now at large.

00:13:42.660 Now, there is more about the suspect that is relevant that we should talk about.

00:13:49.160 But before we get there, Kathy Hochul, the governor, she was on the scene very quickly.

00:13:55.620 And instead, the first thing she wanted to talk about, of course, is, well, we can already

00:14:00.720 know.

00:14:01.100 We already know where she's going to go with this, but let's watch the clip anyway.

00:14:04.400 So this is an active shooter situation right now in the city of New York.

00:14:08.320 I just got off the phone with the mayor.

00:14:10.400 He's recovering well.

00:14:11.540 He is monitoring.

00:14:12.360 He's actively engaged in the situation.

00:14:14.360 I wanted to let him know that the people of the entire state of New York stand with the

00:14:19.300 people of this city, this community, and we say no more, no more mass shootings, no more

00:14:25.680 disrupting lives, no more creating heartbreak for people just trying to live their lives

00:14:31.560 as normal New Yorkers.

00:14:32.860 It has to end.

00:14:34.140 It ends now.

00:14:34.960 And we are sick and tired of reading headlines about crime, whether they're mass shootings

00:14:40.260 or the loss of a teenage girl or a 13-year-old.

00:14:44.820 It has to stop.

00:14:46.760 I'm committing the full resources of our state to fight this surge of crime, this insanity

00:14:53.100 that is seizing our city, because we want to get back to normal.

00:14:56.800 It has been a long, hard two years.

00:14:58.940 That's what we crave, that sense of stability and normalcy.

00:15:04.220 And this is what the mayor and I are going to continue to work toward.

00:15:06.700 And I thank the partners, the brave people of the MTA, the first ones who had the sense,

00:15:13.060 the drivers of the train, to leave the station to make sure no more victims could be hurt.

00:15:18.880 The NYPD, FDNY, state police, everyone involved in this has one purpose.

00:15:28.940 It has to stop the insanity of these crimes.

00:15:34.300 You'll hear now from our department.

00:15:38.200 I want to thank them for being there to help us defuse a volatile situation.

00:15:42.900 But we'll be giving continued reports as this day unfolds.

00:15:46.800 Again, we ask everyone to be careful.

00:15:48.940 Be cautious.

00:15:49.600 Report what you see. 0.97

00:15:52.100 These people are so incompetent.

00:15:55.060 And, of course, Kathy Hochul is not going to be able to rise to a moment like this, 0.88

00:15:59.780 because she's just a perpetually failed politician who's managed to fail her way up 1.00

00:16:04.940 and ended up with the governorship without being elected to it.

00:16:08.100 So she's totally unprepared for this.

00:16:10.520 And she's rambling, basically, incoherently.

00:16:12.960 What is it?

00:16:13.860 We're tired of the insanity of these crimes in the last two years.

00:16:17.980 The last two years?

00:16:18.880 What?

00:16:19.240 We're roping COVID into it?

00:16:20.740 What does it have to do with anything?

00:16:22.300 And then she has no more mass shootings.

00:16:24.020 Of course, that is her gesturing towards, in a not-so-subtle way, gun control.

00:16:28.860 And she's allowing the media and everybody else on the left to make that connection more explicit, 1.00

00:16:32.880 which, of course, they did right away.

00:16:34.080 This is why we need gun control. 0.89

00:16:35.220 Even though they already have strict gun laws in New York,

00:16:39.920 and that obviously did not prevent this from happening. 0.99

00:16:42.480 And, you know, the other thing, too, is this scumbag is still on the loose right now. 0.99

00:16:48.640 Okay? 1.00

00:16:49.100 He's still out there.

00:16:50.000 He's at large right now and certainly at the time when that speech was given.

00:16:55.200 So we don't want to hear right now about your plans to stop mass shootings in general.

00:17:01.680 What about this specific situation?

00:17:05.280 What do you have for that?

00:17:09.800 Because we know that what they always want to do is they want to make it about gun control.

00:17:12.860 They want to use every crisis to their political benefit, of course.

00:17:17.040 But the other thing that happens in the midst of that is that we take these specific situations,

00:17:22.700 which had specific causes and which need to be addressed in specific ways,

00:17:27.680 and then you broaden it and you turn it into this kind of abstract thing of,

00:17:33.520 what are we going to do about mass shootings and just, like, violence in general?

00:17:39.720 Now, before we hear, instead of immediately going to that,

00:17:43.960 why don't you tell us how you're going to catch this actual guy who's on the loose?

00:17:47.880 Because that should be your first priority.

00:17:54.240 And actually, the first priority before catching him would have been to stop him from doing it in the first place,

00:18:00.160 which it seems like you should have been able to do

00:18:03.840 because as is so often the case with these mass killers, or in this case, attempted killers,

00:18:12.180 he was known to law enforcement.

00:18:15.860 So journalist Andy Ngo has some more information about Frank James

00:18:19.620 and just reading from his Twitter thread where he's compiling a lot of this stuff

00:18:22.460 and bringing things to light that the media, of course, is not going to tell us about.

00:18:27.760 We'd prefer if we didn't know.

00:18:29.420 But this is what Andy Ngo has.

00:18:30.660 He says,

00:18:31.460 NYPD named Frank James as a person of interest in the Brooklyn mass shooting.

00:18:35.180 I looked into social media like the Waukesha suspect and the Louisville BLM activist

00:18:38.680 who allegedly tried to assassinate a mayoral candidate.

00:18:40.380 He appeared to be a fan of black nationalism.

00:18:44.660 And then he's got a whole bunch of posts from this guy.

00:18:47.380 I mean, Frank James was all over social media.

00:18:50.100 He was all over YouTube being very explicit about the fact that he's,

00:18:54.320 you know, about his racist feelings about white people 0.97

00:18:57.500 and also his violent tendencies and the fact that he wanted to kill people. 0.99

00:19:02.180 It says,

00:19:02.820 Frank James, the Brooklyn mass shooting person of interest,

00:19:04.840 made disturbing posts recently suggesting he was going to kill people.

00:19:07.740 Some more social media posts by Frank James. 0.59

00:19:13.280 And there's a whole bunch of posts of him talking about how he wants to kill people. 1.00

00:19:17.340 He hates white people. 0.99

00:19:18.100 And there's also, as I said, he had a YouTube channel 0.99

00:19:19.880 where he was pretty open about the fact that he despised white people.

00:19:24.760 So here's just one example of one of this guy's YouTube videos 0.78

00:19:30.000 where he's complaining about the fact that Ketanji Jackson married a white man.

00:19:34.140 Let's watch this.

00:19:36.140 I had no idea with that African name that she would be married to a white man. 1.00

00:19:42.620 One of my subscribers brought that to my attention.

00:19:44.540 Yeah.

00:19:48.220 Our black sister, Supreme Court Justice, 0.97

00:19:51.260 power to the people, 0.98

00:19:53.000 is married to a white man. 1.00

00:19:55.300 You see these fucking pictures? 1.00

00:19:56.580 I don't believe this shit. 1.00

00:19:57.940 Oh, God. 1.00

00:19:59.520 Wait a minute. 1.00

00:20:01.600 This is the motherf***er right there. 1.00

00:20:03.580 There he is. 1.00

00:20:06.080 White man. 0.60

00:20:07.920 Black sister.

00:20:09.900 Ketanji Tay. 0.99

00:20:10.860 What the f***er name is he? 1.00

00:20:12.680 Married to a white man. 1.00

00:20:13.880 Okay, so there's also a video that Andy Ngo posted of.

00:20:19.000 We don't need to play it,

00:20:19.700 but he's walking down the street in New York City

00:20:23.500 and just shouting at white people,

00:20:25.660 and also Asian people as well, 0.59

00:20:27.660 just kind of shouting at them 0.98

00:20:29.180 and calling them all evil and racial slurs

00:20:31.460 and all the rest of it.

00:20:32.820 So, now,

00:20:35.420 so we know that this is very clear from his social media posts. 1.00

00:20:40.680 This is a black supremacist. 1.00

00:20:42.400 Hated white people. 1.00

00:20:43.300 Didn't just hate white people. 0.99

00:20:43.880 Hated Asian people, too. 1.00

00:20:45.900 Hated everyone who's not black. 1.00

00:20:48.000 Also hated other black people as well, 1.00

00:20:49.980 it would seem. 0.96

00:20:50.800 And that's the thing that the media right now

00:20:53.660 is homing in on.

00:20:55.420 So, this is,

00:20:56.260 we just played that for you.

00:20:57.460 You've seen some of the social media posts.

00:20:59.600 Here's CNN, okay?

00:21:01.700 Now, this is like at the level of self-parody.

00:21:05.200 CNN had an article where they say that the killer,

00:21:09.320 or the suspected killer,

00:21:11.040 had videos which were racist and misogynistic.

00:21:14.340 But here's what they say about that.

00:21:15.700 Many of the videos that James uploaded included references to violence,

00:21:21.240 including at a set group of people he believed had maligned him,

00:21:24.600 in addition to broad societal and racial groups that he appeared to hate.

00:21:27.720 The speech was a common theme throughout James' videos,

00:21:31.680 in which he repeatedly espoused hatred toward African Americans.

00:21:37.180 That's the only specific racial hatred that CNN acknowledges, 0.99

00:21:42.500 is that he hated black people. 0.99

00:21:44.860 He was a black guy. 0.98

00:21:45.820 The fact that almost all of his posts were very directly targeted at, 1.00

00:21:52.080 I hate white people, 1.00

00:21:53.240 and I wish they were dead, 1.00

00:21:54.980 doesn't get a mention from CNN.

00:21:58.540 So, this guy was known to the FBI,

00:22:01.420 was threatening to kill people, 0.70

00:22:04.740 made many racist videos and posts,

00:22:07.740 with oftentimes violent themes,

00:22:10.920 and yet was not apprehended by law enforcement ahead of time,

00:22:14.400 and wasn't even kicked off of social media.

00:22:18.900 I mean, I can't say that a male swimmer is a man without getting kicked off.

00:22:24.400 This guy could post videos of himself walking down the street 0.99

00:22:26.660 and screaming about how he hates white people. 0.98

00:22:29.520 Not kicked off of social media. 0.99

00:22:32.920 But you do notice a trend here.

00:22:34.380 We got the Waukesha mass killing. 0.99

00:22:36.520 It was a black supremacist. 1.00

00:22:38.340 This guy is a black supremacist. 0.99

00:22:39.880 The attempted assassin of a mayoral candidate in Louisville, 1.00

00:22:48.140 black supremacist,

00:22:48.880 Capitol Police officer killed last year, 1.00

00:22:50.680 black supremacist. 0.94

00:22:53.140 Now, does this matter? 0.94

00:22:54.640 I mean, is it worth talking about?

00:22:56.160 It is.

00:22:57.240 Because, first of all, it's true.

00:22:58.580 It's just a fact about these crimes.

00:23:03.040 And it's a fact people deserve to know.

00:23:06.280 It's also, of course, if this had gone the other way,

00:23:10.240 and this was a white guy ranting about non-white people,

00:23:13.460 then we know the media would have all this stuff all over the place.

00:23:16.200 But then also, it's important because this is not like a random pattern.

00:23:22.200 It's not a coincidence.

00:23:25.040 I don't see how it's a coincidence that we live in a culture right now 0.94

00:23:28.840 where it is acceptable to hate white people.

00:23:33.560 And kids are having this, even at very young ages, 0.96

00:23:36.280 are having this ingrained into their minds 0.99

00:23:38.200 that white people are evil and responsible for all the evils in the world. 1.00

00:23:42.420 There is this constant fomenting of hatred towards white people. 1.00

00:23:46.460 And not just hatred, but also paranoia about white people. 0.87

00:23:52.180 And then what do you see? 0.98

00:23:54.280 You see these mass violent crimes targeting white people.

00:24:01.220 Might we draw a connection?

00:24:03.000 Is it possible that these things are being encouraged?

00:24:07.000 And that people who are already mentally unbalanced, 0.98

00:24:09.460 they're hearing all of this stuff about how white people are evil? 0.96

00:24:13.820 And they're being given a welcoming environment to express 0.97

00:24:19.640 and kind of dive deeper into their own hatreds?

00:24:24.420 Might we draw that connection?

00:24:25.900 I think we can.

00:24:28.900 Well, we can.

00:24:31.760 But on a mainstream level, the connection isn't going to happen

00:24:36.700 because this story is going to fall out of the headlines.

00:24:40.320 It's already on its way out of the headlines a day later.

00:24:44.820 And I can guarantee you, by the end of the week,

00:24:47.300 by the end of the week,

00:24:48.620 unless there's some new update, they catch the guy or something.

00:24:51.260 But barring that, by the end of the week,

00:24:53.140 this is not even on the homepage of CNN.

00:24:57.420 And I'm being optimistic by saying it'll take to the end of the week.

00:25:00.400 Probably by later today, if not tomorrow, it's gone.

00:25:04.840 I mean, look at the Waukesha terrorist attack.

00:25:10.900 Many people were killed in that attack.

00:25:12.400 Thank God so far, no one's died here.

00:25:14.380 And they were able to erase that in 24 hours.

00:25:18.780 The child was killed, run over by a car during a parade.

00:25:23.020 24 hours later, it's like it never happened.

00:25:24.520 So that's what they're going to do here.

00:25:28.860 Because they have no interest in talking about the mainstreaming of anti-white hatred

00:25:35.260 and how that might be contributing to these kinds of violent events.

00:25:37.540 They don't want to talk about that.

00:25:40.300 And also, people in the media, they don't really care if white people are the victims of violence.

00:25:47.680 They're not concerned about that.

00:25:51.440 All right, this is from the Daily Wire.

00:25:52.800 Last week, high schoolers in a Wisconsin town not far from Madison had to endure a song and dance routine

00:25:59.340 by a French teacher from their school who was dressed in drag.

00:26:04.140 Shannon Valladolid, the district's director of information public relations,

00:26:08.980 reportedly admitted that staff performances are vetted by the high school's teaching faculty.

00:26:13.360 French teacher Matthew Cashton, whose LinkedIn page states he is looking to shift away from K-12 public education

00:26:20.200 into higher education to study abroad in programming and advising,

00:26:24.440 performed for the students during Middleton High School's Fine Arts Week.

00:26:29.380 Empower Wisconsin reported, quote,

00:26:31.380 Cashton strutted on to the auditorium stage in a high-cut, blue-sequined dress, red boots, and a blonde wig, 1.00

00:26:38.200 lip-syncing and dancing to Rain On Me by pop divas Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande.

00:26:43.360 It was all a surprise to the assembled students who apparently had no idea

00:26:46.500 that they were about to get a drag show from one of their teachers.

00:26:49.340 And we have footage of that.

00:26:50.520 Let's play just a little bit of that footage. 0.98

00:26:58.360 What the f*** is that? 0.98

00:27:00.360 All right, so it's just a male teacher in drag strutting around in front of his minor students. 0.99

00:27:16.360 No problem there at all.

00:27:17.640 And this is how, I mean, just think about how, like, aside from the perversion and the degeneracy involved here,

00:27:29.380 just the gall and the bulk, can we turn this off?

00:27:33.700 Just turn it off, I can't look at it anymore.

00:27:35.100 You know, the gall and the gumption to do this, to do it at all, but especially to do it right now?

00:27:43.360 When everybody's talking about grooming in the public schools,

00:27:46.860 and for once there's actually kind of some national focus on that issue,

00:27:52.680 and the left is busy saying, oh, it's not happening at all,

00:27:56.100 and then you decide to do a drag performance?

00:27:58.060 That you, it's apparently vetted by the administration?

00:28:03.460 They saw this plan and said, oh, yeah, sounds good, let's do that.

00:28:07.540 Obviously, knowing that this video is going to end up online,

00:28:10.440 it's not going to be a secret, nothing is, especially not that.

00:28:15.520 But they don't, speaking of not caring, they just don't care.

00:28:21.240 From the school system, their attitude is, hey, these are our kids, not yours.

00:28:24.760 You can complain about it all you want.

00:28:25.800 What are you going to do, pull your kids out and homeschool them?

00:28:30.360 We know most of you probably won't, so complain all you want.

00:28:34.460 That's their attitude.

00:28:35.640 A Middleton Cross Plains Area School's parent alerted radio host Vicki McKenna

00:28:39.600 in an email about this, writing, quote,

00:28:41.940 I send my children to school and entrust them to teachers

00:28:45.280 that I have to believe are professionals who won't destroy their innocence

00:28:48.220 for their own pleasure.

00:28:49.520 If Matthew Kashtin makes the decision to perform his drag show at school,

00:28:52.900 what else does he do in the classroom with a room full of children?

00:28:56.820 What kind of educators thought this was appropriate?

00:28:59.600 Drag shows are fine arts? 0.91

00:29:01.540 If a teacher is a pole dancer or stripper, can they also perform for my children?

00:29:04.900 I don't care what Matthew Kashtin does outside of school.

00:29:06.900 I do care what he does at Middleton High School.

00:29:08.680 And that is a very good question as well.

00:29:13.380 If he's doing this on camera, on stage, what does he do?

00:29:16.900 If he's willing to do that on stage with everybody watching

00:29:20.900 and when he must know that there's probably people with their phones out,

00:29:24.280 what is he doing in the classroom when he's not on stage?

00:29:28.020 And when he's pretty confident that he's not being filmed?

00:29:29.800 This is, yeah.

00:29:35.620 Grooming in the public school system?

00:29:38.020 Definitely.

00:29:39.620 Sexual abuse in the public school system.

00:29:43.360 Because I hope that the conversation,

00:29:47.060 as we're talking about grooming and gender ideology

00:29:49.640 and indoctrination of students, a very important issue,

00:29:52.680 but I hope that it, and I think we're starting to see this now,

00:29:55.260 that the conversation also starts to include a very related issue,

00:30:00.020 which is the sex abuse epidemic in schools.

00:30:01.940 Because the fact is that our schools,

00:30:04.320 as I have been screaming for years,

00:30:08.240 and up until recently, like, nobody seemed to care, 0.98

00:30:11.520 our schools are crawling with sex predators. 1.00

00:30:17.780 With perverts. 1.00

00:30:19.980 And there's a reason why these people want so desperately 0.99

00:30:23.140 to talk to kids about sex.

00:30:28.100 I mean, there's no reason why you would want to put on women's clothes 1.00

00:30:31.340 and strut around on stage in front of kids, 0.98

00:30:36.280 other than you're a predator.

00:30:40.220 And this has been a problem in the school system for years and decades.

00:30:45.820 There was, as I've mentioned,

00:30:47.640 as maybe you've heard me mention before,

00:30:49.120 there was a study commissioned by the Department of Education

00:30:51.020 back in 2004, I believe,

00:30:55.020 which back then found that one in ten public school students

00:30:57.940 were targets of sexual misconduct by teachers.

00:31:01.940 Now, that works out to about five million victims

00:31:05.340 at any given time.

00:31:08.880 And this was a Department of Education.

00:31:10.100 This isn't some right-wing propaganda outlet.

00:31:15.360 This is the Department of Education

00:31:17.240 did their own study and said,

00:31:18.980 yeah, this is a problem.

00:31:19.780 Back in 2004,

00:31:22.300 they were at least willing to be honest about it.

00:31:24.740 It's probably not the case now.

00:31:28.100 So that's five million victims there,

00:31:29.820 about four to five million victims.

00:31:31.200 And out of that number,

00:31:32.320 three million experienced actual sexual assault.

00:31:35.220 You know, sexual misconduct,

00:31:36.160 that includes sexual harassment,

00:31:37.800 inappropriate conversations between teachers and students,

00:31:40.580 which is bad enough.

00:31:41.960 But it also includes actual physical sexual assault by teachers.

00:31:45.280 And if you look at those numbers from the Department of Education,

00:31:48.100 that's about three million victims.

00:31:51.520 Which means the epidemic in our schools

00:31:53.740 is at least 100 times worse

00:31:56.200 than the scandal in the Catholic Church.

00:31:58.820 Although it's gotten 100 times less attention.

00:32:02.320 And those numbers are from over 15 years ago.

00:32:06.080 Do we think that it's gotten better magically?

00:32:10.460 Since then?

00:32:12.420 I mean, when you have a sexual abuse crisis in an institution,

00:32:16.320 and you don't do anything about it,

00:32:18.560 and you ignore it,

00:32:20.440 and instead you start taking abusers,

00:32:23.120 and you move them around to different schools and everything,

00:32:25.380 does the problem tend to get better on its own?

00:32:28.900 No, it doesn't.

00:32:29.760 It's like if you find a lump somewhere on your body

00:32:33.840 and you just decide to ignore it and hope it goes away,

00:32:35.960 it's not going to.

00:32:37.000 That's not how a cancer works.

00:32:38.500 It's just going to progress.

00:32:42.020 Unless you address the problem aggressively.

00:32:46.420 And it's the same thing with the cancer in the public school system.

00:32:48.880 And that's only talking about abuse by teachers.

00:32:52.880 Abuse by students, of other students as a whole,

00:32:55.780 is its own crisis.

00:32:57.600 We know what happened in Loudoun County.

00:32:59.760 The AP, again, back when some of these institutions

00:33:03.120 were willing to be a little bit honest about this,

00:33:04.640 the AP did a report on this a few years ago.

00:33:07.480 And at that time, they found that there was 17,000 cases

00:33:10.480 just at that time of student-on-student abuse

00:33:14.520 in a four-year period leading up to that report.

00:33:18.900 And a lot of those stories are,

00:33:20.660 as we've seen in Loudoun County, are downright horrific.

00:33:24.060 And we know the schools have done a manifestly terrible job

00:33:26.640 of handling these cases.

00:33:27.400 Sometimes they even cover them up.

00:33:30.560 What else can you expect?

00:33:31.720 There are hundreds of deviants and perverts working in the system.

00:33:34.660 This is a real problem.

00:33:37.140 An actual epidemic.

00:33:39.920 And that's why every day you can go online,

00:33:42.160 you see another story of sex abuse in the public school system.

00:33:44.900 The Postmillennial, for example, just from a couple of days ago,

00:33:47.500 they've compiled four more cases, recent cases,

00:33:51.920 of teachers charged with sexual abuse of minors.

00:33:54.880 There was a case in California, 56-year-old math teacher

00:33:57.960 faces allegations of sexual assault from at least two students.

00:34:02.760 In Florida, 30-year-old Thomas Dean, former teacher at a private school,

00:34:07.340 faces lewd and molestation of a minor.

00:34:11.960 And that was back in February.

00:34:12.900 There was an English teacher in Iowa, faces multiple rounds of charges of sexual exploitation

00:34:17.940 by a school employee.

00:34:19.720 And in North Carolina, 27-year-old Sean Hicks, a science teacher at Harnett Central Middle School,

00:34:24.740 faces three charges of indecent liberties with a student and is jailed on a $50,000 bond.

00:34:29.440 And there was also, this is the most recent one, in Oregon,

00:34:33.700 a middle school teacher arrested, charged with sexual abuse and incest.

00:34:38.000 In San Jose, jury issues $102 million reward,

00:34:42.020 blamed school district for not stopping teacher sex abuse.

00:34:47.460 This is an epidemic and it's, you know, there's 50 million kids in the school system

00:34:52.860 who are in the potential pool of victims.

00:34:58.880 Maybe at some point we might start talking about it.

00:35:02.820 All right, this is from CNN.

00:35:04.440 It says, Oklahoma Republican Governor Kevin Stitt on Tuesday signed a bill into law

00:35:08.900 that makes performing an abortion illegal in the state,

00:35:12.460 with an exception only in the case of a medical emergency.

00:35:15.800 The governor said in a statement,

00:35:17.140 I mean, as a governor, I represent all four million Oklahomans

00:35:19.980 and they overwhelmingly support protecting life in the state of Oklahoma.

00:35:23.240 We want Oklahoma to be the most pro-life state in the country.

00:35:25.700 We want to outlaw abortion in the state of Oklahoma.

00:35:28.420 Senate Bill 612, which cleared the state Senate last year,

00:35:32.820 makes performing an abortion or attempting to perform one a felony punishable

00:35:37.240 by a maximum fine of $100,000 or a maximum of 10 years in state prison or both.

00:35:42.540 The law does not provide exceptions in cases of rape and incest.

00:35:45.360 Under the measure, the woman would not be criminally charged or convicted 0.96

00:35:48.860 for the death of her unborn child.

00:35:50.160 The legislation does not prohibit the use, sale, prescription, or administration of contraceptives.

00:35:57.340 And, of course, even some people who call themselves, claim to be pro-lifers

00:36:02.320 are critical of the fact that there are no exceptions for rape and incest

00:36:07.540 and those kinds of extreme, you know, very rare cases.

00:36:13.020 Well, but you can't put an exception.

00:36:15.960 If you're going to outlaw abortion, there can't be an exception.

00:36:19.420 One reason is just from a practical standpoint, how do you enforce that?

00:36:25.400 If you say, oh, abortion is illegal unless you tell us that you were raped,

00:36:31.720 well, there's, there's, there's, there's, what's the enforcement mechanism there?

00:36:37.060 But more importantly, the only reason to make abortion illegal is that the child in the womb

00:36:45.420 is a human being and has human rights.

00:36:50.540 And it is not okay to intentionally directly kill an innocent human being.

00:36:54.300 That's the only reason to make abortion illegal. 1.00

00:36:56.040 It's the best reason.

00:36:57.520 It's the only reason.

00:36:58.200 It's the only reason you need.

00:37:00.940 And if that's the case, that the, the person in the womb is a person and has human rights

00:37:07.360 and ought to have legal rights as well, codifying those human rights,

00:37:10.480 which they naturally have by the nature of the fact that they are human beings.

00:37:14.380 If that's the case, then it doesn't make any sense to say that, oh yeah, well, they have human rights

00:37:19.960 unless they were conceived in a certain way, in which case the rights don't, don't hold anymore.

00:37:26.040 Now you want to punish somebody for rape, punish the rapist, not the baby.

00:37:33.380 But we're starting to see this more and more from, from some in the Republican party going,

00:37:38.340 going on offense more.

00:37:39.840 We know what's happening in Florida and some other states as well,

00:37:42.500 whether, whether it's the gender issue or abortion.

00:37:46.060 Don't just sit around and say that, well, there's a, we got to wait for the Supreme court

00:37:50.120 to speak before we can do anything.

00:37:51.360 No, if you're pro-life, then you believe that actual human beings, children are being

00:38:00.020 systematically slaughtered in this country, which means you have to do everything in your

00:38:05.900 power to stop it and let the other side challenge you.

00:38:10.420 Let them take you to court, do whatever they're going to do.

00:38:12.060 You're under no obligation to respect Roe v. Wade.

00:38:17.260 Roe v. Wade holds no moral weight whatsoever.

00:38:21.720 It's not legitimate.

00:38:22.940 It's not morally legitimate, which means that if you're the governor of the state,

00:38:26.220 if you're a state legislator, you can ignore it and just do what you're going to do.

00:38:29.140 Let them take you to court over it, which is what they're doing in Oklahoma,

00:38:33.600 which is exactly what they should do.

00:38:35.820 All right.

00:38:36.020 One other thing, this is just some, some good news, more good news, actually.

00:38:39.560 From CNBC, fewer than 10,000 people are using CNN Plus on a daily basis,

00:38:45.000 two weeks into its existence, according to people familiar with the matter.

00:38:48.500 People spoke with CNBC on the condition of anonymity.

00:38:50.840 CNN Plus, that's their streaming service, it launched on March 29th.

00:38:54.760 The sufficient news streaming service, which charges $5.99 a month or about $60 annually,

00:39:01.100 only became available on Roku on Monday, still is available on Android TV.

00:39:04.680 And right now, there's, it's a big crisis at CNN because they've got,

00:39:08.280 they've got 10,000 people using their streaming service.

00:39:15.000 Which, I mean, at least that's more people than watch their normal network programming,

00:39:22.120 especially when you take airports out of the equation.

00:39:24.340 So you could look at it from a positive angle like that, I guess.

00:39:26.840 You know, you actually have to give people a reason to subscribe.

00:39:33.340 You have to give them content that they want to see,

00:39:35.020 which I think CNN, they tended to neglect that part of this equation.

00:39:38.940 Let's get now to the comment section.

00:39:40.300 Nick C says, I love how Matt's segues between topics are usually just him staring silently

00:40:00.840 at the camera for a couple of seconds.

00:40:05.260 Alex says, from the previous show, I was almost diagnosed with ADHD,

00:40:08.540 but my parents came in and said, no, you're not going to go on drugs

00:40:11.520 because you don't fix a five-year-old kid's unwillingness to sit down in a classroom

00:40:15.820 for eight hours a day with pills.

00:40:17.840 Well, I'm glad that your parents at least saw that.

00:40:20.280 I wish that more parents would because the fact that a young child has difficulty

00:40:26.560 sitting still in a public school environment, that's not an indication

00:40:29.840 there's anything wrong with them.

00:40:31.440 As I always say, this is a, that that's, if there's something wrong here,

00:40:34.700 if there's a disorder, it's in the system itself that expects kids to learn that way

00:40:40.620 because most kids cannot, and especially boys cannot learn that way.

00:40:45.480 If you just sit them down at a, at a desk for seven or eight hours a day

00:40:49.860 and give them busy work to complete.

00:40:52.100 There's a, there's a minority of kids and most of them girls who can thrive in that environment, 1.00

00:40:58.480 but it's a very specific sort of environment that presents challenges to most people.

00:41:05.040 I, I couldn't even do it now at this age.

00:41:09.440 Um, but kids, especially, especially boys can't, doesn't mean that they're disordered.

00:41:14.020 It means that there's a problem with the system itself.

00:41:15.860 Um, Anna says, why can't we flip the, why do you even care argument around? 0.99

00:41:23.180 I'm a woman.

00:41:23.860 If a trans person called me a man, I wouldn't care. 1.00

00:41:26.620 So why do they even care?

00:41:29.040 Yeah.

00:41:29.280 I mean, that's, that's an important point.

00:41:30.840 It's the same thing for me.

00:41:31.880 Like if I, I, I'm a man, I'm aware that I'm a man.

00:41:34.560 I'm quite confident in that.

00:41:35.960 I don't depend on anybody else affirming me in my manhood.

00:41:40.200 And so if somebody said that I was a woman, I would just, it, I, it would be embarrassing

00:41:45.940 for them to say that it wouldn't cause any kind of crisis for me.

00:41:51.580 I wouldn't, I wouldn't, I wouldn't have any identity crisis because they said that it wouldn't

00:41:56.360 cause me to plunge into despair, anything like that because I know who I am and you, Anna

00:42:03.320 know who you are.

00:42:04.080 Well, we find this as part of gender ideology is that you're, you are, your identity is 0.77

00:42:12.160 a very tenuous thing and it requires that in order for it to, for it to kind of be held

00:42:19.900 up intact, it requires that everyone around you constantly affirm it.

00:42:25.540 And if one person fails to affirm it, then the whole thing shatters to pieces.

00:42:28.440 And that should probably tell you something about your perception of yourself, which is

00:42:30.920 that it's probably not exactly accurate.

00:42:34.080 So let's see, Meredith says, or rather cool Papa J Magic says, just in case any of you

00:42:40.520 didn't know, separation of church and state was meant to prevent the state from influencing

00:42:44.420 the church, not the other way around.

00:42:47.020 That is, that is actually accurate.

00:42:48.940 That's how it was originally used when Thomas Jefferson used it in his letter that he wrote

00:42:54.420 to the Baptist.

00:42:55.900 It was about, it was the concern that if church and state intermingle, it's not that it's going

00:43:00.860 to cause corruption of the state, but it will cause corruption of the church.

00:43:05.420 A little historical note that I think is important.

00:43:07.600 And Joyful Catholicism says, Matt, I've been adding, if you think Matt Walsh from The Daily

00:43:11.740 Wire is hilarious, we'll probably get along just fine to all of my online dating profiles.

00:43:16.320 It's been a great conversation starter.

00:43:17.920 Thanks for all your help.

00:43:19.180 Wish me luck in finding a good Catholic man.

00:43:21.320 I do like that.

00:43:22.060 I think that's good.

00:43:23.280 I think, I think, you know, maybe go a little bit farther.

00:43:25.860 Requiring your date to make an SBG loyalty pledge is probably the way to go.

00:43:31.160 And the good thing is it'll really whittle down your candidates.

00:43:34.160 I mean, really whittle them down a lot.

00:43:36.460 You'll probably scare away like 99% who will have no idea what you're talking about, but that

00:43:40.440 makes selection a lot simpler.

00:43:42.340 So that's the good thing.

00:43:44.260 Well, there's no question that leftism has been a disaster.

00:43:47.480 I am opposed to leftism.

00:43:48.980 I don't know if you noticed that yet, but that's a little known fact about me.

00:43:52.720 That's why we're discussing it all on a very special episode of Backstage Tonight.

00:43:56.060 Not only will your favorite Daily Wire host be there to break down the current state of

00:43:59.560 our country, but we'll also be welcoming a special guest.

00:44:02.420 That's why you should tune in to catch an all new episode of us discussing what's happening

00:44:06.100 and how we're actively fighting it on Backstage Tonight with myself, Ben Shapiro, Jeremy Boring,

00:44:11.360 Michael Knowles, and Andrew Klavan.

00:44:12.380 It streams tonight at 7 o'clock Eastern, 6 p.m. Central on dailywire.com and our YouTube channel,

00:44:26.720 This offer ends tomorrow, so don't miss out.

00:44:29.240 Now let's get to our daily cancellation.

00:44:34.760 Cole and Savannah LeBrant are a husband and wife duo, parents of three kids, extremely successful

00:44:40.280 YouTubers. 0.92

00:44:40.860 Their channel, The LeBrant Fam, it's called, has over 13 million subscribers.

00:44:44.680 Most of their videos are dedicated to marriage, family life, other crowd-pleasing kinds of

00:44:49.240 topics, which have earned them a large mainstream audience comprised of people from all across

00:44:53.840 the political spectrum.

00:44:54.480 And so it took real courage then to upload their latest video, which is a 38-minute documentary

00:45:00.580 titled simply Abortion.

00:45:03.100 In the video, they correctly dub abortion the world's most deadly killer, and they compare 0.96

00:45:07.740 abortion, the abortion death toll, to all of the worst genocides in history, including the 0.91

00:45:10.980 Rwandan genocide, the Cambodian genocide, the Holocaust, the 60 million deaths from abortion

00:45:16.740 far outstripped the other three combined, times three.

00:45:21.520 They interview doctors, pro-life activists, medical professionals, and others about the

00:45:26.220 topic.

00:45:27.240 They also say that the money they raise from the video, which should be a pretty substantial

00:45:31.420 sum as it already has 2 million views, they're going to give that money to a pregnancy center. 0.54

00:45:34.860 So this is all, again, quite courageous, admirable, and true.

00:45:37.960 And if we know anything about our culture, it's that if you do something courageous, admirable,

00:45:42.920 and true, then you're guaranteed to be ripped to shreds for it, which is indeed what Cole

00:45:47.120 and Savannah have experienced.

00:45:48.960 Media outlets like the Daily Mail have fanned the outrage flames with headlines like this,

00:45:54.220 sickening YouTube star couple is slammed for comparing abortion to the Holocaust and branding

00:45:59.280 it the world's most deadly killer.

00:46:01.360 Meanwhile, leftist blogs like Jezebel have been even more direct.

00:46:04.460 In fact, YouTube couple shares disgusting video comparing abortion to the Holocaust.

00:46:09.340 The LeBrant fam, who have more than 13 million subscribers, posted anti-abortion propaganda

00:46:13.680 that left viewers enraged and questioning why YouTube allowed it.

00:46:18.700 Now, YouTube is allowing it, quote unquote, for now, but their video has apparently already

00:46:22.820 been taken down by Instagram.

00:46:24.120 So Instagram isn't allowing.

00:46:25.760 As for the enraged viewers, that is true as well.

00:46:28.320 All you have to do is look up Savannah LeBrant's name on Twitter, and you'll see the sort of

00:46:32.620 backlash they're dealing with.

00:46:35.020 So reading now, just the first few tweets that pop up, just to give you an idea.

00:46:39.820 One of them says, as someone who has had an abortion, Savannah LeBrant can quite literally 0.91

00:46:43.760 go F herself. 0.99

00:46:44.980 How dare you, as a woman, think it is your right to tell others what to do with their 1.00

00:46:48.360 own bodies?

00:46:49.360 You grew up rich and married a rich man who could help you raise your child.

00:46:52.900 You are not.

00:46:54.880 Next, someone else says, F Cole and Savannah LeBrant.

00:46:56.960 F them.

00:46:58.880 And then, I hope Cole and Savannah LeBrant choke. 0.94

00:47:02.260 And also, Cole and Savannah LeBrant can rot, to be honest. 0.91

00:47:05.440 How dare you, a privileged white family with no financial issues and no hardships in the 0.60

00:47:09.240 entire world, compare abortions to the Holocaust in an attempt at guilt-tripping women who have 0.99

00:47:13.420 had abortions and to push your own crappy religious agenda?

00:47:17.740 Now, in fact, I scrolled down a good way, and I didn't see even one single post defending 0.98

00:47:21.420 them.

00:47:22.140 All of it is negative, viciously negative.

00:47:24.440 But that, of course, doesn't change the fact that they're right.

00:47:27.900 Abortion is a Holocaust in its own right.

00:47:30.040 And in terms of sheer body count, it is the worst Holocaust in the history of the world. 0.91

00:47:34.520 That is the inevitable conclusion that you must draw if you believe that children in the

00:47:39.340 womb are human beings. 1.00

00:47:40.440 Every pro-life person must believe that abortion is the deadliest Holocaust in history, because

00:47:48.340 that is the absolutely inescapable conclusion that follows directly from the belief that

00:47:53.420 the victims of abortion are human beings.

00:47:56.120 Now, of course, I call it a belief, but our belief that humans in the womb are human is

00:48:01.220 similar to our belief that gravity exists and that, like, two plus two equals four.

00:48:06.180 There is no leap of faith required in this belief.

00:48:09.880 It is belief not in some sort of assumption, but in a fact.

00:48:14.760 The entity in the womb of a woman is a being because he exists, and he is human because he

00:48:21.700 was conceived by humans.

00:48:23.100 Thus, he is a human being.

00:48:25.560 And we know that he's alive because the whole point of the abortion is to make him not alive

00:48:29.960 anymore.

00:48:30.860 Thus, he is a living human being.

00:48:32.520 Abortion is the direct intentional murder of a living human being.

00:48:36.700 This kind of murder has been carried out systematically and brutally.

00:48:40.980 There's no non-brutal way to do it over 60 million times since Roe v. Wade.

00:48:44.860 60 million systemic murders is a genocide.

00:48:48.320 It is a Holocaust. 0.95

00:48:49.720 Again, this is inescapable.

00:48:52.000 No matter how it may make you feel to hear, it is inescapable.

00:48:55.840 Now, in order to disprove or debunk the Holocaust claim, you would need to, rather than cry and

00:49:01.820 whine and do the whole how dare you routine, you would need to demonstrate that the human

00:49:06.540 in the womb is not a human or else was not alive before he was killed or else that somehow

00:49:10.920 killing an innocent and defenseless human being doesn't count as murder.

00:49:14.660 You can't demonstrate or prove any of that.

00:49:17.220 Nobody ever has.

00:49:18.840 The pro-abortion side barely even attempts because they know the attempt will be futile. 0.95

00:49:22.540 So instead, they just flail about like demonically possessed lunatics, hoping that it passes 0.95

00:49:27.800 for an argument. 0.98

00:49:28.500 It doesn't.

00:49:30.460 The LeBrant's are therefore vindicated. 1.00

00:49:33.120 Or at least they would be if they stuck to their guns.

00:49:37.720 But this is where we get to the tragic, though not at all surprising, end of the story.

00:49:43.140 Savannah LeBrant seems to have deleted all of her tweets, but before she deleted them,

00:49:47.280 according to the Daily Mail, she posted this, quote,

00:49:49.620 We didn't mean it in a hurtful way or anything.

00:49:52.400 I do understand nothing should be compared to something like the Holocaust. 0.91

00:49:55.560 I didn't go through to edit the video.

00:49:58.360 Cole edits most of our videos that are uploaded.

00:50:00.720 I do apologize for any hurtful things the video has done.

00:50:03.960 The uploading of this video was to show how we plan to help anyone going through something

00:50:07.820 or thinking of an abortion and to show our view.

00:50:10.140 I totally do agree with you on it being presented in another way.

00:50:13.160 As a mom, I'm still learning from things, and I do hope to learn from this on future documentaries

00:50:19.220 that we do. 0.99

00:50:19.980 Damn it, Savannah. 1.00

00:50:22.640 So not only does she apologize and backtrack, but she actually throws her husband under the 1.00

00:50:28.140 bus.

00:50:28.980 It's the groveling trifecta.

00:50:31.600 Now, on one hand, you may be far more generous than me, and you may be willing to cut the LeBrant 1.00

00:50:36.340 some slack.

00:50:37.800 They were facing an onslaught of attacks.

00:50:40.400 They're no doubt panicked that they may have just alienated a significant portion of their

00:50:45.440 audience, and they're reacting out of fear.

00:50:47.460 You may be willing to forgive the groveling in that case.

00:50:50.960 You may be willing to.

00:50:51.920 I am not.

00:50:53.460 Because nobody told the LeBrants that they had to make a video about abortion. 0.62

00:50:57.860 They could have just kept posting sappy, heartwarming, Hallmark stuff, the kind of stuff that's

00:51:02.900 made them successful to this point.

00:51:04.600 Could have just done that.

00:51:05.360 But if you're going to tread into these waters, then you have a responsibility to stand firm

00:51:11.220 by your convictions.

00:51:13.440 I'm so tired of people saying the right thing and then backing down immediately.

00:51:18.020 It's like we're still supposed to give them credit.

00:51:19.620 No, I give you zero credit.

00:51:21.160 I give you zero credit on the assignment.

00:51:24.240 All of the credit you would get for speaking up immediately evaporates the moment you apologize.

00:51:29.720 It's done.

00:51:31.040 It's not just like you have zero.

00:51:32.380 It's actually negative now because it's better to say nothing.

00:51:35.320 It's much, much better to say nothing than to say the right thing only to apologize for

00:51:41.220 it later.

00:51:41.860 Because when you apologize, you are in effect retracting the truth you spoke and you're

00:51:47.400 validating your insane, rabid, foaming-at-the-mouth critics and you're emboldening those same rabid

00:51:54.080 dogs only further ensuring that they treat the next person just as they treated you. 0.99

00:51:59.260 If you aren't prepared and willing to stare down the mob and tell these hyenas to screw 0.96

00:52:03.720 off, then please just keep your mouth shut to begin with. 0.97

00:52:09.360 But as I said, this isn't surprising.

00:52:11.200 There were warning signs in the video itself.

00:52:13.260 Moments when you watch the video where it seemed that maybe the LeBrants weren't fully

00:52:17.400 invested in the pro-life cause or maybe aware of what the pro-life cause even is.

00:52:23.560 Moments like this.

00:52:24.960 As we've been filming this documentary, we've been asked by our friends, by family, by mentors,

00:52:29.500 why are we making this?

00:52:30.800 There's so much at risk.

00:52:32.300 Why are we even making this?

00:52:33.400 Why are we adding flame to an already crazy burning fire?

00:52:37.960 And the answer is just if one baby is safe from this, if one mom chooses to keep her baby

00:52:43.620 from it, then it's all worth it.

00:52:44.700 But this documentary by no means is trying to illegalize abortion.

00:52:48.320 After this documentary, you're still going to have the choice.

00:52:51.380 You're still going to have your choice.

00:52:52.900 But I know that there's going to be one mom watching, maybe five, maybe 10, maybe 100,

00:52:57.120 maybe 1,000.

00:52:57.620 We have no idea the ripple effects.

00:52:59.960 But just for you guys to know all the resources out there and also for us as a church and just

00:53:05.360 me and Cole even, just how much more we need to be doing.

00:53:08.940 Well, obviously, the documentary itself isn't going to illegalize abortion.

00:53:15.260 But are you saying that you don't want abortion to be illegal?

00:53:18.340 That seems to be what they're saying, especially given Savannah's response to her critics on

00:53:22.640 Twitter.

00:53:23.040 We've already gone over her apology.

00:53:24.360 But there was also this.

00:53:25.600 Somebody tweeted at her saying, quote, how disgusting of you guys to make a video like

00:53:29.980 that.

00:53:30.200 It's a choice.

00:53:31.000 My body, my effing choice.

00:53:32.900 The fact you tried comparing the Holocaust to abortions is absolutely concerning.

00:53:37.000 That wasn't a choice.

00:53:37.840 People were ripped from their homes.

00:53:40.420 Now, Savannah should have responded to that by reminding this person that in abortion, 1.00

00:53:44.060 babies are also ripped from their homes, which are in the womb, and then ripped apart

00:53:48.500 limb from limb.

00:53:49.700 But instead, she came back with a smiley face and this statement.

00:53:52.660 She said, we clearly stated in the video, it's still your choice.

00:53:57.340 Huh?

00:53:57.900 So abortion is a Holocaust. 0.84

00:53:59.720 It's the murder of 60 million human babies.

00:54:01.700 And yet it should still be a choice.

00:54:04.260 And you don't want to make it illegal?

00:54:06.220 You don't want the Holocaust to be illegal? 0.99

00:54:10.700 At another point in the film, they say that they aren't pro-life or pro-choice, but pro-love.

00:54:15.840 Wait, but why aren't you pro-life?

00:54:17.860 Isn't that the whole point of opposing abortion?

00:54:20.300 Are you, what, taking a neutral stance on the Holocaust of infants?

00:54:23.480 There's a certain lack of commitment in the way that they framed things here, and that

00:54:29.220 probably explains why they cracked under the pressure and apologized and deleted their

00:54:32.720 entire social media presence.

00:54:34.840 They were ready to go halfway for the pro-life cause, which, granted, is farther than a lot

00:54:40.460 of people are willing to go.

00:54:41.280 But it's not good enough.

00:54:44.600 Halfway is not going to do it.

00:54:45.540 You've got to go the whole way.

00:54:46.960 They thought a half measure would be good enough.

00:54:48.760 It isn't.

00:54:50.640 Because this fight is real.

00:54:52.100 You either go all in, and you come ready for the war, or you stay home and stay out of it.

00:54:58.420 So they thought they could just dip their toes in the pool, but not dive all the way in.

00:55:02.320 They were wrong.

00:55:02.920 And for that reason, sadly, at the end of this, it must be them today who are canceled.

00:55:11.000 And we'll leave it there.

00:55:11.900 Thanks for watching.

00:55:12.460 Thanks for listening.
