00:01:52.900 So I noticed last night that Ben Shapiro was trending on social media. And as I clicked on

00:01:58.700 his name to find out what he had done this time, I immediately learned from many left-wing accounts

00:02:03.480 that he had been apparently totally owned and demolished and destroyed in a debate with a

00:02:09.460 college student during the Q&A portion of his speech at UNC Greensboro this week. Now I confess that

00:02:14.300 I was a little biased maybe, but I was skeptical of this claim for many obvious reasons. Then I went and

00:02:21.840 watched the trending video in question and I discovered that my skepticism was certainly

00:02:25.860 justified, to put it mildly. More than that, in fact, the exchange encapsulates nearly everything

00:02:30.660 that's wrong with the left's approach to debate in general and debate about gender ideology in

00:02:35.740 particular. These flaws are only further underscored by the fact that the left is handling and applauding

00:02:40.280 the college student in spite of the fact that he, by any objective measure and speaking now

00:02:44.400 scientifically, made an absolute ass of himself. But don't take my word for it. Let's go to the tape

00:02:49.440 and watch some of this. I'm a mathematician and a physicist here, a double major, and I also just

00:02:54.760 won the most prestigious award in the country to pursue research at any institution I want,

00:02:58.560 the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship. So I think I'm pretty, you know,

00:03:02.600 qualified to say that most of what you're saying is based on, like, old data. But my question to

00:03:07.560 you, and so I want to automatically realize that. But sure. Um, like, for example, gender identity

00:03:12.580 disorder, that's the DSM-4, bro. We use the DSM-5 now for psychologists to be able to talk about- I literally

00:03:17.680 cited the DSM-5 in the speech, and it's called gender dysphoria, which is the term that I use throughout

00:03:21.680 the speech, not gender identity disorder. You sound like a bozo, bro. And you get no f***y, and you can't even make

00:03:25.300 your wife f***, bro, so it's good. Now, a couple of things here before we watch the rest of the clip.

00:03:33.280 First of all, the kid makes a number of false and confused claims right off the bat, but rather than

00:03:37.440 let Ben correct the record, he interrupts, calls Ben a bozo, because those are the insults the kids are

00:03:43.220 using these days, apparently, and makes an obscene comment about Ben's wife. Now, we saw how Will Smith

00:03:49.320 reacted to a comment about his own wife, and we saw that Smith was largely defended by the left for

00:03:53.640 reacting that way, but Chris Rock didn't deserve to be smacked in the face for making such an

00:03:57.720 incredibly mild joke. This kid, on the other hand, actually does deserve the Chris Rock treatment.

00:04:03.220 I mean, you don't talk about a man's wife that way. I understand why Ben didn't climb down from

00:04:06.860 the stage and up into the stands and try to commit assault during the YAF event, of course, but my

00:04:10.600 point is simply that this is a kid who needs to learn to watch his mouth. I mean, something has gone

00:04:14.840 seriously wrong in society when a young man feels comfortable speaking that way to another man about

00:04:20.900 that man's wife, and one of these days, he's going to run his mouth to someone who is not standing on

00:04:25.520 stage with cameras all around, and he'll learn his manners the hard way. Also, before devolving in

00:04:31.820 almost immediately into ad hominems, he begins by listing his credentials. The credentials are,

00:04:37.040 of course, completely irrelevant to the conversation and will not make his wrongness magically right,

00:04:43.280 and that's not to say that he's lying about the credentials, though. The most concerning and

00:04:46.740 disturbing thing is that he is not, apparently. The North State Journal, a newspaper in North

00:04:51.340 Carolina, they looked into this, and here's what they found. Quote, one UNCG student who got to ask

00:04:58.960 a question boasted about being a mathematician and physicist and recently winning a prestigious

00:05:03.260 National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Award. The fellowship, which NSF says is

00:05:09.460 the oldest graduate fellowship of its kind, spans five years, including three years of an annual stipend of

00:05:14.080 $34,000 and a cost of education allowance of $12,000 paid to the institution. A search of the awardee list

00:05:20.900 located four students, but only one individual, Quentin Jose Emerit, matched the questioner's description

00:05:26.540 and received an award in Physics and Astronomy, Quantum Information Science for 2022. North State Journal

00:05:33.080 reached out to UNCG for comment, but did not receive a response by publication time. Additionally, the Twitter

00:05:38.220 account for the physics department limited who can see their tweets after our reporter questioned them

00:05:43.540 about merit. So, apparently the kid with the bad haircut, who thinks you're a bozo is an argument, and who

00:05:49.900 accuses a father of three of being a virgin, and who thinks women have penises, and who couldn't even be bothered

00:05:54.940 to wear a shirt to the event, has indeed received a prestigious academic award. Now, rather than this fact

00:06:01.120 causing us to see the stupid kid in a better light, it should cause us to see academia in an even worse light

00:08:46.200 Now, if that were true, you should be able to travel outside of the Western world and

00:08:50.440 find hundreds of cultures that believe women can have penises.

00:13:16.660 Commuters on the N train Tuesday morning describe how a man wearing a construction vest threw a

00:13:22.240 smoke grenade into their subway car when it was in between stations and then opened fire.

00:13:27.200 Terrified passengers tried to get out to the next carriage where the door was locked.

00:13:31.440 When the train pulled into the 36th Street station in Sunset Park, the gunman fled and managed

00:13:38.100 to escape in the middle of New York City and is still right now at large.

00:17:33.520 what are we going to do about mass shootings and just, like, violence in general?

00:17:39.720 Now, before we hear, instead of immediately going to that,

00:17:43.960 why don't you tell us how you're going to catch this actual guy who's on the loose?

00:17:47.880 Because that should be your first priority.

00:17:54.240 And actually, the first priority before catching him would have been to stop him from doing it in the first place,

00:18:44.660 And then he's got a whole bunch of posts from this guy.

00:18:47.380 I mean, Frank James was all over social media.

00:18:50.100 He was all over YouTube being very explicit about the fact that he's,

00:18:54.320 you know, about his racist feelings about white people

00:18:57.500 and also his violent tendencies and the fact that he wanted to kill people.

00:19:04.840 made disturbing posts recently suggesting he was going to kill people.

00:19:13.280 And there's a whole bunch of posts of him talking about how he wants to kill people.

00:19:19.880 where he was pretty open about the fact that he despised white people.

00:21:21.240 including at a set group of people he believed had maligned him,

00:21:24.600 in addition to broad societal and racial groups that he appeared to hate.

00:21:27.720 The speech was a common theme throughout James' videos,

00:21:31.680 in which he repeatedly espoused hatred toward African Americans.

00:21:37.180 That's the only specific racial hatred that CNN acknowledges,

00:21:42.500 is that he hated black people.

00:21:44.860 He was a black guy.

00:21:45.820 The fact that almost all of his posts were very directly targeted at,

00:26:24.440 performed for the students during Middleton High School's Fine Arts Week.

00:26:43.360 It was all a surprise to the assembled students who apparently had no idea

00:26:46.500 that they were about to get a drag show from one of their teachers.

00:30:28.100 I mean, there's no reason why you would want to put on women's clothes

00:30:40.220 And this has been a problem in the school system for years and decades.

00:30:49.120 there was a study commissioned by the Department of Education

00:30:51.020 back in 2004, I believe,

00:30:55.020 which back then found that one in ten public school students

00:30:57.940 were targets of sexual misconduct by teachers.

00:31:01.940 Now, that works out to about five million victims

00:31:05.340 at any given time.

00:31:08.880 And this was a Department of Education.

00:31:10.100 This isn't some right-wing propaganda outlet.

00:31:15.360 This is the Department of Education

00:31:17.240 did their own study and said,

00:31:18.980 yeah, this is a problem.

00:31:19.780 Back in 2004,

00:31:22.300 they were at least willing to be honest about it.

00:31:24.740 It's probably not the case now.

00:31:45.280 And if you look at those numbers from the Department of Education,

00:31:51.520 Which means the epidemic in our schools

00:31:56.200 than the scandal in the Catholic Church.

00:31:58.820 Although it's gotten 100 times less attention.

00:32:02.320 And those numbers are from over 15 years ago.

00:32:12.420 I mean, when you have a sexual abuse crisis in an institution,

00:32:25.380 does the problem tend to get better on its own?

00:32:59.760 The AP, again, back when some of these institutions

00:33:10.480 just at that time of student-on-student abuse

00:33:14.520 in a four-year period leading up to that report.

00:33:18.900 And a lot of those stories are,

00:33:20.660 as we've seen in Loudoun County, are downright horrific.

00:33:24.060 And we know the schools have done a manifestly terrible job

00:33:26.640 of handling these cases.

00:33:27.400 Sometimes they even cover them up.

00:33:30.560 What else can you expect?

00:33:31.720 There are hundreds of deviants and perverts working in the system.

00:33:34.660 This is a real problem.

00:33:37.140 An actual epidemic.

00:33:39.920 And that's why every day you can go online,

00:33:42.160 you see another story of sex abuse in the public school system.

00:33:44.900 The Postmillennial, for example, just from a couple of days ago,

00:33:47.500 they've compiled four more cases, recent cases,

00:33:51.920 of teachers charged with sexual abuse of minors.

00:33:54.880 There was a case in California, 56-year-old math teacher

00:33:57.960 faces allegations of sexual assault from at least two students.

00:34:02.760 In Florida, 30-year-old Thomas Dean, former teacher at a private school,

00:34:07.340 faces lewd and molestation of a minor.

00:34:11.960 And that was back in February.

00:34:12.900 There was an English teacher in Iowa, faces multiple rounds of charges of sexual exploitation

00:34:17.940 by a school employee.

00:34:19.720 And in North Carolina, 27-year-old Sean Hicks, a science teacher at Harnett Central Middle School,

00:34:24.740 faces three charges of indecent liberties with a student and is jailed on a $50,000 bond.

00:34:29.440 And there was also, this is the most recent one, in Oregon,

00:34:33.700 a middle school teacher arrested, charged with sexual abuse and incest.

00:34:38.000 In San Jose, jury issues $102 million reward,

00:34:42.020 blamed school district for not stopping teacher sex abuse.

00:34:47.460 This is an epidemic and it's, you know, there's 50 million kids in the school system

00:34:52.860 who are in the potential pool of victims.

00:34:58.880 Maybe at some point we might start talking about it.

00:35:02.820 All right, this is from CNN.

00:35:04.440 It says, Oklahoma Republican Governor Kevin Stitt on Tuesday signed a bill into law

00:35:08.900 that makes performing an abortion illegal in the state,

00:35:12.460 with an exception only in the case of a medical emergency.

00:35:15.800 The governor said in a statement,

00:35:17.140 I mean, as a governor, I represent all four million Oklahomans

00:35:19.980 and they overwhelmingly support protecting life in the state of Oklahoma.

00:35:23.240 We want Oklahoma to be the most pro-life state in the country.

00:35:25.700 We want to outlaw abortion in the state of Oklahoma.

00:35:28.420 Senate Bill 612, which cleared the state Senate last year,

00:35:32.820 makes performing an abortion or attempting to perform one a felony punishable

00:35:37.240 by a maximum fine of $100,000 or a maximum of 10 years in state prison or both.

00:35:42.540 The law does not provide exceptions in cases of rape and incest.

00:35:45.360 Under the measure, the woman would not be criminally charged or convicted

00:35:48.860 for the death of her unborn child.

00:35:50.160 The legislation does not prohibit the use, sale, prescription, or administration of contraceptives.

00:35:57.340 And, of course, even some people who call themselves, claim to be pro-lifers

00:36:02.320 are critical of the fact that there are no exceptions for rape and incest

00:36:07.540 and those kinds of extreme, you know, very rare cases.

00:36:13.020 Well, but you can't put an exception.

00:36:15.960 If you're going to outlaw abortion, there can't be an exception.

00:36:19.420 One reason is just from a practical standpoint, how do you enforce that?

00:36:25.400 If you say, oh, abortion is illegal unless you tell us that you were raped,

00:36:31.720 well, there's, there's, there's, there's, what's the enforcement mechanism there?

00:36:37.060 But more importantly, the only reason to make abortion illegal is that the child in the womb

00:36:45.420 is a human being and has human rights.

00:36:50.540 And it is not okay to intentionally directly kill an innocent human being.

00:36:54.300 That's the only reason to make abortion illegal.

00:36:56.040 It's the best reason.

00:36:57.520 It's the only reason.

00:36:58.200 It's the only reason you need.

00:37:00.940 And if that's the case, that the, the person in the womb is a person and has human rights

00:37:33.380 But we're starting to see this more and more from, from some in the Republican party going,

00:37:46.060 Don't just sit around and say that, well, there's a, we got to wait for the Supreme court

00:46:09.340 The LeBrant fam, who have more than 13 million subscribers, posted anti-abortion propaganda

00:46:13.680 that left viewers enraged and questioning why YouTube allowed it.

00:46:18.700 Now, YouTube is allowing it, quote unquote, for now, but their video has apparently already

00:46:22.820 been taken down by Instagram.

00:46:24.120 So Instagram isn't allowing.

00:46:25.760 As for the enraged viewers, that is true as well.

00:46:28.320 All you have to do is look up Savannah LeBrant's name on Twitter, and you'll see the sort of

00:46:32.620 backlash they're dealing with.

00:46:35.020 So reading now, just the first few tweets that pop up, just to give you an idea.

00:46:39.820 One of them says, as someone who has had an abortion, Savannah LeBrant can quite literally

00:46:43.760 go F herself.

00:46:44.980 How dare you, as a woman, think it is your right to tell others what to do with their

00:46:48.360 own bodies?

00:46:49.360 You grew up rich and married a rich man who could help you raise your child.

00:46:52.900 You are not.

00:46:54.880 Next, someone else says, F Cole and Savannah LeBrant.

00:46:56.960 F them.

00:46:58.880 And then, I hope Cole and Savannah LeBrant choke.

00:47:02.260 And also, Cole and Savannah LeBrant can rot, to be honest.

00:47:05.440 How dare you, a privileged white family with no financial issues and no hardships in the

00:47:09.240 entire world, compare abortions to the Holocaust in an attempt at guilt-tripping women who have
