The Matt Walsh Show - Ep. 952 - A Women's March Where No One Knows What A Woman Is

00:00:00.000 Today on the Matt Wells Show, we hijacked the Women's March this weekend to let all the attendees know about my new film, What is a Woman?

00:00:05.440 Today, I'll play the full trailer for you, and we'll talk about why the film is needed and what we hope to accomplish with it.

00:00:09.940 Also, speaking of why the film is needed, three middle school boys have been charged with sexual harassment for misgendering, quote-unquote, a classmate.

00:00:16.840 And the media vulture is immediately set to work politicizing a mass shooting in Buffalo.

00:00:20.100 Plus, the mayor of Chicago poses for embarrassing photos in Texas while violence rips her city apart.

00:00:25.560 And our daily cancellation, an immigrant posts a sign in his Uber instructing passengers not to ask him where he's from because that question makes him uncomfortable and sick. 1.00

00:00:34.360 We'll talk about all that and more today on the Matt Wells Show.

00:00:45.340 Well, you know, leftists are raging more than ever these days.

00:00:48.200 I thought it was something to do with Roe v. Wade.

00:00:50.080 Nope, it turns out they heard about Backstage Live, and they're just terrified they won't get tickets.

00:00:54.540 That's right, on June 29th, Backstage Live is back at Nashville's historic Ryman Auditorium with me, Ben Shapiro, Jeremy Boring, Andrew Klavan, and Michael Knowles.

00:01:01.540 To buy your tickets right now, go to dailywire.com slash Ryman.

00:01:05.260 Last year, Jeremy said it, we need your help to fight back and save the culture.

00:01:09.280 Well, together, that's what we've been doing.

00:01:10.780 We went toe-to-toe with the government over unconstitutional mandates, and we won.

00:01:14.080 We threw down the gauntlet to woke, multi-billion-dollar corporations like Harry's Razors and Disney. 0.62

00:01:19.880 We're boldly exposing the truth about Fauci, the pro-choice movement, and my personal favorite, radical gender ideology.

00:01:26.320 At Daily Wire, we talk a lot about, you know, building the future.

00:01:28.820 With your help, we're making it happen.

00:01:30.360 Join us on June 29th, and let's celebrate these wins together, because they are all of our wins.

00:01:36.280 You don't want to miss out.

00:01:37.000 Get your tickets backstage live today at dailywire.com slash Ryman.

00:01:41.120 You know, I used to see left-wing protests and demonstrations as mere annoyances, you know, events to be dismissed and ignored, basically.

00:01:49.800 But now I see them as, well, still events to be dismissed in a lot of ways, but also as opportunities.

00:01:54.500 And with feminists across the country gathering together on Saturday for another Women's March in response to the impending end of Roe,

00:02:00.720 we decided it would be a perfect time to finally unveil the full trailer and official premiere date for my upcoming film, What is a Woman?

00:02:07.260 And after all, you know, I know from filming the documentary that the women at the Women's March are the most confused of all about what a woman actually is.

00:02:14.200 So this film should be of great interest to them and very useful to them.

00:02:18.880 You know, all that time, spend all the time at the Women's March, you think you want to figure out what a woman actually is, 0.98

00:02:22.760 so figured this would be a good way to tell them.

00:02:25.280 That's why we thought they would appreciate it if we hijacked their event to promote the film.

00:02:30.340 And as it turns out, they didn't appreciate it very much.

00:02:33.620 But I still had fun, and that's really what counts.

00:02:35.380 And so for the Women's March in D.C., we set up these mobile billboards on the back of trucks, 0.92

00:02:40.700 and we had them circle the march all day long.

00:02:43.700 And the billboards asked a pertinent question, which is, if you can't define what a woman is, how can you have a women's march? 0.97

00:02:50.800 Good question.

00:02:51.980 And then, of course, we provided the URL, whatisawoman.com, where you could see the whole trailer and become a member of the Daily Wire.

00:02:57.720 I doubt we gained very many subscribers from the D.C. Women's March, but at least we gave them a question that they could ponder.

00:03:04.220 And the same in New York City, where Jeremy was nice enough to let me use his Jeremy's Razors billboard to pose the same question to all of Times Square.

00:03:11.820 There was a Women's March in New York as well.

00:03:14.060 And then there was the L.A. Women's March, where we took things perhaps a step or two farther by posing the ultimate question,

00:03:21.680 what is a woman, to the entire L.A. Women's March all at once via message in the sky. 1.00

00:03:27.580 So a sky writer wrote the question in the sky over top the city, while another plane carrying a banner with whatisawoman.com circled around all day.

00:03:38.260 Now, the funniest thing about this was the reaction from L.A. residents who had no context at all and perhaps didn't even know that a Women's March was happening,

00:03:47.800 and yet emerged from their homes on Saturday morning to find this question emblazoned across the heavens as if God himself was prompting them to think about it.

00:03:55.700 I should also mention that the hashtag, whatisawoman, was trending on Twitter, moving up the trending charts quickly,

00:04:02.700 threatening to overtake all of the Women's March hashtags until I posted the picture of the sky writing,

00:04:09.240 at which point the hashtag disappeared from Twitter's trending topics all at once, just like that, never returned.

00:04:16.680 Apparently, I think maybe it was a bridge too far for the folks at Twitter, many of them who live in that area,

00:04:21.780 and I guess decided we were simply having too much fun, and we were.

00:04:27.140 But trolling aside, the important point, I think, is the film, which, again, will officially premiere, we can finally announce, on June 1st.

00:04:34.900 You may remember that we originally said it would premiere in May, but that was before we remembered that June is Pride Month,

00:04:42.180 and we simply could not pass up the opportunity to unveil the trailer during the Women's March

00:04:47.360 and then premiere the film on the first day of Pride Month.

00:04:51.080 Just the symmetry there.

00:04:52.700 It's poetry.

00:04:53.880 It's poetic, I think.

00:04:55.740 The way things work out that way.

00:04:58.180 Now, if you think we went literally above and beyond for the Women's March,

00:05:01.820 you just got to wait and see what we have in store for Pride Month.

00:05:04.660 And the first thing we have in store is the movie itself, of course.

00:05:08.720 And for just a small taste of what the film is all about, I'm going to play the full trailer for you right now.

00:05:14.980 If you're listening to the audio podcast and you want to see the visuals that go with this,

00:05:19.760 and trust me, you definitely do want to see the visuals,

00:05:22.620 then you can go to my YouTube channel or whatisawoman.com after the show and check it out.

00:05:26.340 But for now, here's the trailer.

00:05:28.660 Let's watch.

00:05:32.340 What is a woman? 1.00

00:05:33.940 Can you tell me that?

00:05:34.660 Well, you're at the Women's March.

00:05:39.100 You must have some idea.

00:05:39.920 Please, if one person could tell me what a woman is. 0.99

00:05:42.180 You are not here for women. 1.00

00:05:43.860 We ask you to leave.

00:05:45.240 What is that?

00:05:47.960 I'm a husband.

00:05:48.920 I'm a father for, I host a talk show.

00:05:51.240 I give speeches.

00:05:52.240 I write books.

00:05:53.340 I like to make sense of things.

00:05:54.820 A woman is not anything in particular. 0.90

00:05:56.600 There is not one particular thing.

00:05:58.280 It could be many things to many people. 0.99

00:06:00.220 Some women have penises, right? 1.00

00:06:01.800 Some men have vaginas. 1.00

00:06:03.020 I like scented candles. 1.00

00:06:03.980 I've watched Sex and the City.

00:06:05.440 Yeah.

00:06:05.880 How do I know if I'm a woman?

00:06:07.420 That's a great question.

00:06:08.500 You're not a scientist.

00:06:09.580 You're not a gender studies major. 1.00

00:06:10.840 No.

00:06:11.260 How do you know that you're a man? 1.00

00:06:12.960 I guess because I got a d***. 0.99

00:06:14.620 Can a man become a woman? 1.00

00:06:22.900 I'm not a woman, so I can't really answer that.

00:06:26.100 Women only know what women are. 1.00

00:06:27.820 Are you a cat?

00:06:29.200 No.

00:06:29.880 Can you tell me what a cat is?

00:06:32.940 Do you want to tell us what a woman is? 1.00

00:06:34.180 I'm a biological woman that medically transitioned to appear like a male.

00:06:41.780 I will never be a man.

00:06:44.560 And so they go on the internet and they're told that all their problems will be solved if they become a man.

00:06:49.400 So you worry that there could be a sort of social contagion element of this?

00:06:53.740 A teeny tiny bit, maybe.

00:06:55.620 It got me at 42.

00:06:57.660 Your child doesn't have a chance.

00:07:01.780 And you're affirming it with hormones that have never been used in this way.

00:07:07.700 Puberty blockers, which are completely reversible.

00:07:10.740 Completely reversible.

00:07:11.700 One of the drugs used is Lupron, right?

00:07:13.760 Which has actually been used to chemically castrate sex offenders.

00:07:17.860 You know what?

00:07:18.800 I'm not sure that we should continue with this interview.

00:07:20.920 You don't want to talk about the drugs that you give to kids or...

00:07:24.560 How can they be removing the healthy breasts of 15-year-old girls? 0.87

00:07:28.420 There are masculine girls. 0.77

00:07:29.860 There are feminine boys. 0.89

00:07:31.340 What are we going to do about that?

00:07:32.620 Carve them up?

00:07:33.500 How can this whole thing be happening, Matt?

00:07:36.280 I wanted us to have a safe place to be able to talk about this.

00:07:40.740 Part of me wants to ask why you care so much.

00:07:43.080 I care about the truth.

00:07:44.160 I care about children.

00:07:45.460 I care about the women who are having their opportunities stolen from them. 1.00

00:07:48.520 Is it transphobic to tell the truth?

00:07:51.260 The interview's over.

00:07:52.220 Let's turn off the cameras.

00:07:53.000 Excuse me.

00:07:53.680 I just wanted to know, what is a woman? 1.00

00:07:55.500 And you're not going to find out.

00:07:56.740 Based on what I'm saying, would you ever want to move to America?

00:07:59.440 They say no.

00:08:01.380 Never.

00:08:10.740 I hope you enjoyed it a little bit.

00:08:15.380 We'll see when it comes out.

00:08:19.660 Yes, you will.

00:08:20.680 You will.

00:08:21.760 June 1st, again, is the premiere date.

00:08:23.300 If you've been putting off becoming a Daily Wire member and procrastinating,

00:08:28.860 then what I would say is that now is the time.

00:08:32.840 And if you're thinking about it all, if you have it in your budget, become a Daily Wire member,

00:08:36.000 or maybe get rid of one of the 15 other streaming services that you don't need

00:08:39.540 and have nothing but crap, and go sign up for the Daily Wire. 0.90

00:08:42.560 Go to whatiswoman.com right now and sign up. 0.99

00:08:44.320 Or wait until after the show, and then sign up.

00:08:46.880 You know, one of the worst things about trailers is that so often they spoil the film

00:08:50.780 because they show you all the best parts, and you see the trailer, and you're like,

00:08:53.500 this looks good.

00:08:54.360 And you go watch the movie, and you think, well, I already saw.

00:08:56.860 This is the best part of the movie I already saw.

00:08:59.680 That's not the case with this trailer, because the best parts,

00:09:02.920 and by that I mean the most outrageous, shocking, hilarious, disturbing,

00:09:06.740 sometimes all those things at once, parts are being saved for the film.

00:09:10.900 I can assure you of that.

00:09:12.540 What you saw there is just sort of the tip of the gender-confused iceberg. 0.94

00:09:16.900 And hopefully it's enough for you to see that,

00:09:19.020 though we're doing a lot of fun trolling to promote the film,

00:09:22.700 what is a woman is not itself merely an exercise in trolling.

00:09:27.980 I mean, there's some of that, because it's me, and I can't help myself.

00:09:30.480 But the titular question is just the beginning of the journey.

00:09:34.600 It's the door into the gender ideology rabbit hole, 1.00

00:09:37.420 and we dive into that rabbit hole and trace it all the way to the bottom.

00:09:40.740 We stare into the abyss, and the abyss stares back.

00:09:44.560 Now, I can tell you just from filming it that, you know,

00:09:47.120 there are plenty of moments when I had to stop myself from bursting out laughing,

00:09:49.880 but also plenty of days when we wrapped filming,

00:09:52.380 and I had trouble sleeping at night because I felt so unsettled by the things that we'd seen,

00:09:56.380 the conversations we had, the things that we learned.

00:09:58.780 And there were a couple of times in particular when,

00:10:02.260 and we talked about this when we were done filming on these days,

00:10:04.320 it felt like we were, you know, glaring directly into hell or something,

00:10:09.380 because in a way we were.

00:10:11.300 Now, my hope then for the film is that it will rip open the curtain

00:10:15.900 and reveal gender ideology for what it is. 1.00

00:10:18.820 This is a movement that has gripped hold of our culture largely by deception, threat, and force.

00:10:25.280 Certainly not by making compelling arguments and convincing people.

00:10:30.980 So case in point, I have here the results of a new poll from

00:10:33.920 McLaughlin and Associates and summit.org,

00:10:37.100 and this shows just how unconvinced most people are.

00:10:41.640 So listen to some of these numbers.

00:10:43.020 In response to the question,

00:10:45.420 do you believe it's possible to distinguish between men and women?

00:10:50.240 And of course we mean like physically.

00:10:52.480 Of those who gave a response, 93% said yes.

00:10:57.260 Of course, gender ideology tells you, no, you can't. 0.82

00:10:59.720 You cannot, there's nothing physical about someone

00:11:03.060 that would tell you anything about whether they're a man or a woman. 0.97

00:11:06.420 93% disagree with that claim by gender ideology.

00:11:12.460 93%.

00:11:12.900 When asked about their personal feelings about transgenderism,

00:11:17.300 only 36% said that it's a healthy human condition.

00:11:20.780 The rest said that it's unhealthy.

00:11:22.420 Though, and this is important,

00:11:24.280 only half of those who said it's unhealthy

00:11:26.380 said they'd be willing to speak up and say so.

00:11:28.800 The rest said that they'd keep quiet about it.

00:11:31.800 When asked if elementary schools

00:11:33.720 should teach about sexual identity and sexual behavior,

00:11:37.420 28% said it was appropriate.

00:11:40.260 42% said it was inappropriate.

00:11:42.580 30% said not only inappropriate, but dangerous.

00:11:45.620 So that's 72% opposed in all.

00:11:48.780 And then should minors undergo gender alteration procedures? 0.91

00:11:53.260 90% against.

00:11:56.120 Now, there are still more people

00:11:58.840 on the incorrect side of these issues than there ought to be

00:12:01.840 because there ought to be zero.

00:12:04.340 But this makes it clear that the gender ideologues

00:12:07.480 are in a small, tiny minority.

00:12:10.880 They have convinced basically no one.

00:12:16.040 And that's another interesting question

00:12:17.980 that maybe we could do in a follow-up poll,

00:12:20.600 which is like, whatever your opinion of this right now,

00:12:25.520 have you changed it over the last five years?

00:12:27.980 I'd say they've convinced no one

00:12:31.060 because all the people who's, you know,

00:12:32.520 whatever, 7% who said that,

00:12:34.940 oh, you can't tell the difference between men and women. 0.77

00:12:38.280 Most of them, you know,

00:12:40.300 these are the people making the claim.

00:12:42.000 These are the actual gender ideologues.

00:12:43.660 So it's not like they've been convinced.

00:12:47.320 They haven't convinced anyone

00:12:48.420 of the rightness of their claims,

00:12:50.180 I guess I should say.

00:12:50.980 They have, however, convinced lots of people

00:12:54.060 to be silent.

00:12:55.400 They've convinced, quote-unquote,

00:12:57.780 lots of people to just sort of cooperate

00:13:00.080 and go along.

00:13:00.980 And that's why I'm hoping that our film,

00:13:03.640 What is a Woman?, 1.00

00:13:04.540 will not only expose the total absurdity

00:13:07.360 of gender ideology,

00:13:08.320 but also give people the motivation,

00:13:11.440 the inspiration,

00:13:13.120 to take a stand against it,

00:13:15.100 publicly and unapologetically.

00:13:18.940 Finally.

00:13:20.700 Now let's get to our five headlines.

00:13:28.140 You know, if you've been listening to the show for a while,

00:13:29.660 you've probably heard me talk about my Helix mattress.

00:13:32.380 Helix has, I got good news for you,

00:13:34.640 left the bedroom

00:13:35.340 and they started making sofas as well.

00:13:37.140 They still make the great mattresses.

00:13:38.180 They also make sofas.

00:13:39.140 They just launched a new company called Allform

00:13:41.040 and they're already making the best sofas

00:13:43.240 we've ever seen or sat in, most importantly.

00:13:46.200 So what makes an Allform sofa really cool?

00:13:47.840 For starters, it's the easiest way

00:13:49.160 that you can customize a sofa

00:13:50.380 using premium materials

00:13:51.540 at a fraction of the cost of traditional stores.

00:13:53.960 You can pick your fabric,

00:13:54.960 the sofa color,

00:13:55.760 the color of the legs,

00:13:56.860 sofa size,

00:13:57.880 the shape

00:13:58.360 that makes it perfect for your home

00:14:00.220 and whatever living space you're putting it in.

00:14:02.080 They've got armchairs and love seats

00:14:03.280 all the way up to an eight seat sectional.

00:14:04.960 So there's something for everyone.

00:14:06.580 You can always start small

00:14:07.720 and buy more seats later if you want.

00:14:09.760 Their sofas are also delivered directly to your door.

00:14:12.520 Allform has simple, quick assembly,

00:14:14.240 no tools needed.

00:14:15.080 It's really easy to do.

00:14:16.080 And if getting a sofa without trying it in store

00:14:18.040 sounds a little risky,

00:14:19.240 well, you don't have to worry.

00:14:19.900 You get a hundred days to decide

00:14:20.960 if you want to keep it.

00:14:21.980 And if you don't love it,

00:14:22.980 they'll pick it up for free

00:14:23.820 and give you a full refund,

00:14:24.740 but you will love it.

00:14:25.700 Allform is offering 20% off all orders

00:14:27.880 for our listeners at allform.com slash Walsh.

00:14:30.160 To find your perfect sofa,

00:14:31.360 check out allform.com slash Walsh.

00:14:34.600 Okay, I want to go right to this

00:14:35.900 because speaking of why the movie is needed right now,

00:14:39.060 let's go over to Wisconsin

00:14:40.660 where three middle school boys

00:14:43.040 are facing sexual harassment charges.

00:14:46.580 Okay, middle school boys,

00:14:48.500 sexual harassment.

00:14:50.120 Why?

00:14:50.640 Because they quote unquote misgendered someone.

00:14:54.260 So here's the local news report.

00:14:56.260 Let's listen to that.

00:14:57.660 I received a phone call

00:14:58.920 from the principal over at the elementary school

00:15:01.580 forewarning me,

00:15:02.640 letting me know that

00:15:03.620 I was going to be receiving an email

00:15:06.060 with sexual harassment allegations against my son.

00:15:10.380 Rosemary Rabideau's 13-year-old son, Brayden,

00:15:13.160 is one of the three eighth grade

00:15:14.880 Keele Middle School students

00:15:16.300 accused of sexual harassment,

00:15:18.520 something she disputes.

00:15:20.940 He said he's being allegedly charged

00:15:23.940 with sexual harassment

00:15:25.140 for not using proper pronouns.

00:15:27.460 I thought it wasn't real.

00:15:29.140 I thought this has got to be a gag, a joke.

00:15:33.400 One has nothing to do with the other.

00:15:35.800 According to the Wisconsin Institute

00:15:37.380 for Law and Liberty, or WILL,

00:15:39.600 now defending the accused students,

00:15:41.660 in March, one of their peers announced

00:15:43.620 the pronouns they prefer to be addressed as,

00:15:46.500 they or them.

00:15:47.760 One of the alleged incidents Brayden

00:15:50.000 and the others were supposedly involved in

00:15:52.380 happened in April.

00:15:54.040 She had been screaming at one of Brayden's friends

00:15:56.280 to use proper pronouns,

00:15:58.280 calling him profanity.

00:16:00.020 And this friend is, you know,

00:16:01.480 very soft-spoken

00:16:02.480 and kind of just sunk down into his chair.

00:16:05.140 And Brayden finally came up defending him,

00:16:07.320 saying he doesn't have to use proper pronouns.

00:16:11.100 It's his constitutional right to not use.

00:16:13.880 You can't make him say things.

00:16:15.720 Some might say or think that you or your son

00:16:18.000 are against the LGBTQ plus community.

00:16:20.340 Not at all.

00:16:21.960 Not at all.

00:16:23.060 My children have been raised to love everybody equally.

00:16:26.960 Shortly after finding out her son was being investigated,

00:16:30.900 Rosemary reached out to WILL.

00:16:32.960 Title IX sexual harassment typically covers things like rape,

00:16:38.240 dating violence, quid pro quo sexual favors, right?

00:16:42.760 Really egregious stuff.

00:16:44.340 There's nothing even remotely close to that alleged in this case.

00:16:47.360 Will says the school district's policy doesn't cover the misuse of pronouns,

00:16:51.640 and neither does Title IX.

00:16:54.600 Okay, so treating three middle school boys as rapists

00:16:58.180 because they wouldn't use the pronoun that somebody wanted them to use.

00:17:03.340 So we're going to ruin these boys' lives

00:17:06.160 because they wouldn't use the pronoun.

00:17:08.760 Please, I beg you, get your kids out of the public school system.

00:17:15.820 Just get your kids out of the system. 0.98

00:17:18.280 If it's at all possible for you to do it,

00:17:20.660 if there's anything that you can do,

00:17:25.320 there are any other options in your life,

00:17:27.660 get your kids out of the system.

00:17:29.360 Wisconsin, it may be a liberal area,

00:17:37.740 particularly where the school is.

00:17:39.360 I actually don't know.

00:17:40.200 I don't know.

00:17:40.840 I'm not familiar enough with the various areas in Wisconsin.

00:17:44.000 But the point is, this didn't happen in San Francisco.

00:17:48.660 I mean, I'm sure this kind of thing does happen in San Francisco,

00:17:50.760 but that's not what we're talking about.

00:17:51.720 We're talking about Wisconsin.

00:17:52.460 So it's, they could just simply ruin your kid's life

00:18:00.140 if you don't get them out of the system.

00:18:03.240 And there's an important point here also,

00:18:05.100 just to clarify.

00:18:08.820 He was punished, these boys are punished

00:18:11.120 not for using incorrect pronouns,

00:18:13.960 but to make it all the worse here,

00:18:16.800 they're punished for using the correct pronouns.

00:18:20.300 Now, even if they had used incorrect pronouns,

00:18:22.460 like if they had just gone up to some boy who is a boy

00:18:25.720 and called the boy a girl,

00:18:29.340 to call that sexual harassment is insane, obviously.

00:18:33.900 But it's even worse than that

00:18:35.740 because they used correct pronouns.

00:18:38.240 They said what is objectively correct,

00:18:40.920 and that is sexual harassment, according to the school.

00:18:46.800 And the pronouns that were preferred here,

00:18:49.020 they, them,

00:18:49.540 like that doesn't,

00:18:52.720 what if, what if the kid said that's identified

00:18:56.100 with one of these neo-pronouns?

00:18:58.400 You know, the neo-pronouns are just the made-up gibberish.

00:19:01.860 Z's, I have the list here of neo-pronouns. 0.96

00:19:04.700 Z, Z, M, Z, R, I, M, R, V, R, V, R, V, R, V, R, R, R, R.

00:19:10.500 N, N, M, N, N, R. 0.99

00:19:13.660 Okay, what if the kid had walked in and said,

00:19:15.480 um, I, refer to me as

00:19:16.840 N, N, M, or N, R now.

00:19:19.660 What? That's, that doesn't,

00:19:20.820 I don't even, that's, those aren't words.

00:19:22.900 I wouldn't even know how to use that in a sentence

00:19:25.720 because it's not a word, it's gibberish.

00:19:27.520 but if the kids don't do that are they sexual harassers now are we going to lump them in as 0.86

00:19:34.340 rapists um but this just goes to show again the point that we made at the beginning of the show

00:19:43.060 in the opening monologue this is fear and coercion that the gender ideologues are using this is all 0.59

00:19:50.180 they have okay if we were to do a poll on uh on this idea of people identifying as they are them 0.77

00:20:00.080 i can guarantee you at least 90 of people would think that it's ridiculous

00:20:05.920 once again no one is being convinced of the rightness of any of this

00:20:13.160 all they have is fear and coercion

00:20:16.740 and the good news is that movements that rely and we've seen we see so many historical analogs here

00:20:27.420 so many examples throughout history and we know that movements that rely entirely on on fear and

00:20:34.340 coercion and manipulation and force they don't last forever it's just it's not sustainable in the long

00:20:41.480 run now if you can actually change people's hearts and minds well now you have something that could

00:20:47.040 endure for generations for thousands of years potentially but if all you have if you're trying

00:20:52.480 to force this square peg into a round hole basically just just just through force it's not it can't last

00:21:00.280 forever eventually people get tired of it eventually people gather up the gumption to to stand and

00:21:11.420 say no i'm not going to go along with this

00:21:13.420 and that moment um it has to be now now is really the time it should have been

00:21:21.920 10 years ago or before that

00:21:25.360 but it wasn't and now here we are in this moment

00:21:30.340 and we can all decide especially those of us and i'm sure most people watching right now are adults

00:21:37.520 so those of us who are adults who are grown-ups we can decide if we're going to finally take a stand

00:21:43.980 and draw the line and say we're done with this we are not going along with it we are not going to

00:21:49.440 cooperate i don't care what you do i don't care you can kick and scream and cry you can call me 0.92

00:21:53.740 whatever name you want to call me but we're finished if you're a man i'm going to call you a man and 0.66

00:21:59.680 that's it if you're a woman you're a woman and that's it and those are the only categories that i will

00:22:04.760 recognize and none others

00:22:06.540 you know the people in the poll the the large preponderance who said that oh yeah they they

00:22:18.120 know the truth but they don't want to say anything

00:22:19.540 i get it i understand that you're afraid

00:22:23.520 um i understand it can be startling and unsettling when you've got a bunch of people

00:22:30.560 screaming at you trust me i know from experience

00:22:34.840 but if we don't draw the line right now then then what we're just going to pass it off to our kids

00:22:43.160 are we just going to coast through the rest of our lives and then turn around to our kids and say

00:22:50.660 uh well you guys got to figure this out because we are going to leave for you in a completely insane

00:22:57.900 society we're all semblance of of sanity and rationality and truth has totally collapsed you're

00:23:06.580 welcome figure it out no we can't do that i mean our kids uh aren't gonna it's too much to ask of

00:23:18.560 kids you know in the trailer we we had the uh the one line there from scott nugent who's someone we 0.95

00:23:25.660 interviewed in the film um the line you know got me at 42 your your child doesn't stand a chance

00:23:33.520 and that's true with the qualifier that if you just abandon your kids if we as a collectively

00:23:44.520 abandon our kids to this madness then they don't stand a chance

00:23:48.160 they do stand a chance if we take a stand and defend them

00:23:53.860 they have better than a chance in that case

00:23:57.340 all right let's go to the latest on the mass shooting in buffalo uh this report courtesy of

00:24:03.400 the daily wire says the gunman who allegedly killed 10 people and wounded three more inside

00:24:06.940 a buffalo supermarket saturday had been flagged as troubled in his small hometown before mounting

00:24:11.740 the apparently racially motivated attack authority said the 18 year old shooter allegedly live

00:24:15.980 streamed the murder spree on twitch um so this is yet another case where someone was known to

00:24:23.040 authorities for being troubled and having violent impulses and uh but nothing really was done about

00:24:28.960 it until finally tragedy strikes authorities said the suspect allegedly drove some three and a half

00:24:34.700 hours from broom county new york to the tops friendly market because it was free

00:24:38.040 frequented by african americans was on the radar back home after allegedly threatening fellow high

00:24:43.140 school students in june of 2021 a government official familiar with the case told the buffalo news a

00:24:48.420 school official reported that this very troubled young man had made statements indicating that he

00:24:52.440 wanted to do a shooting either at a graduation ceremony or sometime after state police investigated

00:24:57.800 the incident last year and the suspect was referred for a mental health evaluation and counseling

00:25:02.280 authorities said the shooter arrived at tops friendly market at 2 30 p.m wearing tactical gear and armed

00:25:09.120 with a rightful he shot four people outside the grocery store three fatally before entering

00:25:12.540 once inside the shooter was confronted by a security guard uh aaron salters a former police officer

00:25:18.560 and um he heroically uh you know attempted to defend the shoppers against this gunman shot at him but he

00:25:28.600 was wearing the armor and then he himself was killed sacrificed himself uh the shooter shot eight more

00:25:34.220 people inside the store six of whom died and then he was uh taken into custody now a few things first of

00:25:42.960 all as to the motive which you know we note that authorities announced within minutes of the attack

00:25:50.140 like right away they told us the motive racially motivated white supremacist uh whereas in say

00:25:58.100 waukesha and with other attacks like the subway shooting in new york city some of these cases they

00:26:03.120 still haven't told us the motive but it's clear in this case that the gunman in buffalo was racist

00:26:09.360 targeted black people targeted minorities he was very clear about that beyond that

00:26:15.720 and he has this whatever 180 page manifesto that uh the media is reading through and they're taking

00:26:26.360 bits and pieces of it uh because they're trying to you know find a way and they did it immediately of

00:26:32.840 course find a way to blame fox news even though in the man like if we're if we're taking this lunatics

00:26:40.000 quote-unquote manifesto and and reading it and taking it seriously um one of the things that he

00:26:49.640 apparently says in the man i only know this from the from the clips and things that people have put 0.98

00:26:54.400 on social media i'm not going to sit there and read 180 pages of some mass killing scumbags manifesto 0.92

00:27:01.420 but that's what some people have done especially in the media because they noticed a political 0.94

00:27:05.360 opportunity and he says apparently in the manifesto that he hates fox news that's something that he

00:27:12.360 mentions explicitly and yet the left has blamed tucker carlson and fox news for this

00:27:19.100 and not just them i've been lumped in too because although this

00:27:27.460 kid i was going to call the kid he's 18 year old 18 years old this man's ideology is

00:27:35.100 a mess it's just all he's again a lunatic all over the place um he does mention the so-called

00:27:45.020 great replacement theory and this is what's being this is this is what they're trying to hang around

00:27:51.740 the neck of uh tucker carlson fox news really any conservative myself included um because tucker

00:28:02.240 carlson and other conservatives have in the past pointed out that the democrats have been very open

00:28:08.880 about the fact that you know they want to have they they want to minimize what they call whiteness

00:28:19.440 in america and they want to bring in voters you know from other countries

00:28:25.800 they don't want voter id laws you know they don't want to they want to be able to bring in the voters

00:28:33.280 and and have them vote because they know they're gonna be voting democrat

00:28:35.580 so they want to replace especially white male voters with

00:28:42.060 voters who they think are going to be beholden to them

00:28:46.560 now this isn't a conspiracy theory

00:28:50.160 um there's nothing wild or speculative about it it's just a fact

00:28:59.760 and one of the ways that you know that it's a fact is because the left and the media the new york

00:29:06.080 times cnn they've been very open about it many times

00:29:08.960 so if it is a theory if the great replacement theory is a theory then it's a theory propagated

00:29:16.740 by the left

00:29:17.340 i mean they're the ones who go around talking about this this supposed scourge of whiteness

00:29:25.580 and what are we going to do to minimize whiteness and how are we going to fight back against whiteness

00:29:29.900 so they say all of that and then on the right if we notice that they've said that

00:29:37.720 and we point out that oh they said these things

00:29:40.700 then we're the ones somehow responsible for a conspiracy theory

00:29:45.700 it's completely absurd and outrageous and and worse than all of that because in this case

00:29:52.980 they're taking this shooting a very real event where 10 people were killed

00:29:57.500 and right away i mean they're not taking any time to mourn the the lives lost or anything like that

00:30:03.140 just immediately like tucker carlson's name was trending along with the shooting right away

00:30:11.380 because these people they don't care about lives lost

00:30:17.960 they don't care about the just untold human misery and and suffering 1.00

00:30:23.100 that's now happening because of what this scumbag did they don't care about any of that 0.99

00:30:27.940 all they see is an opportunity is a political opportunity 1.00

00:30:32.480 and you know the thing is again if you're gonna if you're gonna read through this scumbags uh 0.97

00:30:40.140 manifesto which i don't even know why you know as as a as a rational sane person who's not looking 0.95

00:30:48.640 to make to play politics with dead bodies i don't know why you'd bother

00:30:53.400 but apparently he also said and this is this is something the left is bringing up because they're

00:30:59.380 you know again they want to they want to claim that he was radicalized by the right whatever that means

00:31:03.820 but apparently this guy says that um around the time of the covid lockdowns

00:31:10.040 he went online and it ended up on 4chan and he was bored

00:31:15.440 and so he spent all his time online when covid first started and that's how he was quote radicalized

00:31:21.780 well there's an interesting thing there that that maybe we could talk about

00:31:27.340 which is that you take this uh person who is already incredibly disturbed obviously

00:31:35.520 and then uh you lock him in a home and just say well you know just spend all your time on the internet

00:31:43.380 and then this happens maybe some connections we could draw there

00:31:49.200 and maybe at a deeper level we could really talk about is the uh the nihilism the empty emptiness

00:31:59.740 the the uh inability to see to value human life that is a real epidemic in our country

00:32:11.340 and whatever reasons this guy gave for what he did that's what lies at the root of it

00:32:19.440 just nihilistic empty do not recognize the value in human life

00:32:28.120 and despite the way the media portrays it in fact there are shootings in this country every single day

00:32:34.940 sadly and um that's what lies at the root of most of them actually

00:32:42.620 all the violence that plagues our cities people just getting shot in the street for nothing

00:32:49.980 what lies at the root of that nihilist empty nihilism emptiness people with no purpose in life

00:32:58.600 whatsoever who take uh joy pleasure in causing suffering why is there so much of that in our culture

00:33:07.940 can we talk about that at some point no we can't because it's uh more interesting to the left and

00:33:15.740 more useful to them to find a way to blame tucker carlson

00:33:18.640 meanwhile uh speaking of exploiting it so joe biden is going to be visiting uh buffalo on tuesday

00:33:28.460 which normally no problem with that it that makes sense president should if there's a if

00:33:34.100 there's a mass terrorist attack the president should should be there should make an appearance

00:33:38.900 should go talk to the to the victims absolutely

00:33:41.940 but you can't help but remember just a few months ago when there was a mass terrorist attack in

00:33:49.460 waukesha when a guy drove through a christmas parade and killed uh six people including an

00:33:55.320 eight-year-old child and chose not to visit let's go back and remember um and in fact we have the clip

00:34:02.620 of when the white house was asked about joe biden visiting waukesha and here's the the answer that was

00:34:06.940 given listen this administration is monitoring the situation in waukesha closely it has been

00:34:12.680 revealed by prosecutors that the assailant the assailant swerved his truck side to side as part

00:34:17.960 of an intentional act to run over as many people as possible six people are dead some children remain

00:34:23.580 hospitalized why hasn't the president visited the members of this christmas parade attack well i would

00:34:29.960 say first um as you saw the president convey last week our hearts go out to this community to the

00:34:35.580 people in waukesha that we've been in touch obviously with officials there and we're all

00:34:40.000 watching as people are recovering and this is such a difficult time of year for for this to happen it's

00:34:45.240 difficult any time obviously any president going to visit a community requires a lot of assets requires

00:34:51.400 taking their resources and uh it's not something that i have a trip previewed at this point point in

00:34:57.000 time but we remain in touch with local officials and certainly our our hearts are with the community as

00:35:02.160 they've gone through such a difficult time assets and resources so they didn't have enough assets

00:35:07.920 and resources we've got to be careful about the assets and the resources uh to send the president

00:35:11.700 there and so they decided not to now a month after about a month maybe three weeks after the attack

00:35:16.920 in waukesha uh biden sent his wife sent jill biden but chose not to go himself never went himself

00:35:23.060 and never met with the victims families or anything like that because of assets and resources it takes

00:35:28.780 so long and it's just so much of a trouble meanwhile within three days of the attack in buffalo uh they

00:35:38.060 got all the assets and all the resources together wonder why that is well we know why that is

00:35:43.800 he didn't visit waukesha because the victims were white and the terrorist in that case was black

00:35:51.040 in this case in buffalo the races are reversed and so he's going to visit

00:35:56.020 now we're so used to this kind of thing from the democrats and then just them just being vile

00:36:04.600 soulless goblins that that you know you almost want to gloss right over it

00:36:12.580 but this is really extraordinary

00:36:15.820 to have the president united states who chose not to visit

00:36:21.160 the site of a terrorist attack because of the race of the victims like he is he is explicitly

00:36:28.660 maybe not explicitly because he's not yet saying it but blatantly he is blatantly choosing which

00:36:35.440 terrorist attack sites to visit based on the races of the victims

00:36:39.300 and it's we're so used to it it's so bad that uh when democrats do that now we just say well yeah

00:36:47.960 that's the democrats that's what they do that's that's just their democrats being democrats which

00:36:53.660 it is but this should not be normal talk about things that should not be normalized

00:36:57.980 all right now for some more uh politicians embarrassing themselves on a lighter note here's

00:37:04.520 a laurie lightfoot i think we have the tweet that she sent out okay here she is so she was in texas 0.98

00:37:10.880 and she has a picture of herself reading to kill a mockingbird and she says in texas reading any damn

00:37:18.120 book i choose no banning of books or thought ever now first of all let's keep the picture up there 0.90

00:37:24.640 because who reads like this you're sitting on a stool there's a bench right behind her she's sitting

00:37:31.920 on a stool at the bookstore mask on facing the shelf no one reads a book like that is that supposed to be

00:37:39.560 a thing that normal human beings do yeah let me just go to the bookstore with my mask on pull a

00:37:44.140 stool up no one ever reads i don't think in history anyone's ever read a book on a stool

00:37:48.720 but she's sitting on a stool facing the shelf pretending to read and second of all um just so

00:37:57.660 you know to kill a mockingbird that book is not banned in texas it's uh you know you can find that book

00:38:05.660 anywhere but the places that have tried to ban it that's that's the left that wants to ban it 0.95

00:38:12.240 because of the language in the book and of racial insensitivity so if anyone wants to ban to kill a

00:38:20.400 mockingbird it's the left and third maybe you should be more concerned uh mayor lightfoot

00:38:26.940 about what's happening in chicago because speaking of a mass shooting so here's this is from the chicago

00:38:33.240 sometimes it says five people have been killed and 26 others wounded in shootings across chicago

00:38:38.140 since friday now this was uh this was a report that came out on sunday so uh that's over it's 31 people

00:38:46.160 in it from friday to sunday in her city who were shot and what is she doing she's in a bookstore in

00:38:54.900 texas pretending to read to kill a mockingbird

00:38:57.720 maybe you should be focused on that problem instead the violence that absolutely plagues your city

00:39:07.940 talk about nihilism emptiness people with no purpose in life there's a whole lot of that in chicago

00:39:16.300 people shooting each other for nothing for no reason

00:39:20.840 while the mayor's off in uh at a bookstore in texas we're pretending to read a book

00:39:25.960 uh more embarrassing moments from politicians kamala harris

00:39:29.440 uh we're just going to play the clip i don't think we need a lot of setup for this let's just play

00:39:34.900 that is especially true when it comes to the climate crisis which is why we will work together and

00:39:42.260 continue to work together to address these issues to tackle these challenges and to work together

00:39:49.240 as we continue to work operating from the new norms rules and agreements

00:39:55.520 that we will convene to work together on to galvanize global action with that i thank you all

00:40:04.440 this is a matter of urgent priority for all of us and i know we will work on this together

00:40:10.340 together we will work together so that when we're together we'll be working together in a way that

00:40:21.180 allows us to finally work together together working together to build a future together where we can

00:40:27.140 finally work together on working together kamala harris always trying to hit that word count

00:40:34.520 she's always gotta if it could take any sentence that why say something in 10 words if you can say 0.88

00:40:42.680 it in 600 words that's sort of the uh that's kamala harris's motto that was my motto writing book

00:40:49.300 reports when i was in sixth grade that also is the way that the vice president approaches these

00:40:53.520 situations we know the foundation of this great country is the constitution while the foundation of

00:40:59.580 your family should be your faith and your beliefs so i have a serious question for you if something

00:41:04.400 should happen to you or your spouse god forbid who do you trust to instill those same core beliefs

00:41:09.200 and values in your children do you think it's the same person that the state would assign them to

00:41:13.000 almost certainly not if you don't have a will in place you have no say in the future of your

00:41:17.820 children and if you're single you don't think you need a will well you couldn't be more wrong a will

00:41:21.980 allows you to establish advanced directive and medical power of attorney so if you haven't made one yet

00:41:56.620 let's get now to the comment section

00:41:58.380 all right uh austin says i was just expecting this documentary to be like a non-conventional

00:42:12.880 comedy special but this legit looks like it's going to be huge for our our culture uh that's

00:42:19.000 what i was saying it's it's there's a lot of really funny moments in in the film but um

00:42:24.440 it deals with some really dark subject matter and goes to some some pretty dark places

00:42:29.900 so it's hilarious but not at the same time uh and you just have to see it to fully understand and

00:42:37.720 appreciate let's see faith says you even went to kenya slash tanzania for this this quest is on to

00:42:43.040 find uh the quest is on to find out what a woman is for sure the messiah don't play about gender roles

00:42:47.220 that's for sure uh they they really don't and um but like like i said we the best moments in the

00:42:54.100 film are not in the trailer and that especially is the case with uh our trip to the to the african

00:42:59.120 tribe the messiah that was the messiah tribe and um we i went into we had a detailed conversation

00:43:06.120 with the messiah tribe um about the gender situation in the west and you just have to watch it to

00:43:14.080 listen to their insights um ben says matt planning a family movie night for what is a woman do you

00:43:20.220 think it's appropriate for young kids my youngest is nine absolutely not i have eight-year-old twins

00:43:25.060 almost nine they're not gonna be watching this movie they know that they know that daddy is has

00:43:28.620 made a movie but they also know that they're not allowed to watch it if you have older kids like

00:43:32.760 teenagers then that's really up to your discretion i would watch the movie first and then decide if it's

00:43:38.040 something that you think your kids are um old enough for and can be exposed to but for young

00:43:44.620 kids no um we didn't we didn't make this this movie was not made for young kids in fact part of the

00:43:53.160 point here is that these are things that young kids should not be exposed to this is very much a

00:43:59.140 a movie for adults about a subject matter that is very much adult uh let's see brandon says can we

00:44:09.560 get a video series of matt doing a play-by-play of a comedy of errors involving failed life skills as

00:44:15.300 in today's cancellation followed by his instruction in that skill that's actually a great idea for video

00:44:21.120 series and i might steal it and the thing is though also about about me instructing in these life skills

00:44:25.420 um i am very deficient i'll admit i myself i went to public school for 12 years so i i am also

00:44:32.540 deficient in basic life skills i am uh just like your average american in that way but you know i at

00:44:41.540 least know how to cook without burning down my kitchen so when when i i guess the point is when

00:44:49.660 we're in a situation where i am instructing people in life skills then that's uh that just

00:44:57.920 shows you how low the bar is that's a bad sign um nicole says i'd love to see you matt hit the issue

00:45:05.180 of men abandoning pregnant women and never paying child support what kind of harsher punishments

00:45:09.640 should be in place when this happens court orders are a joke and what percentage of women are living 1.00

00:45:13.980 in poverty with said children yeah i'm uh fully on board with forcing men we talked about this last week

00:45:19.660 forcing men to take care of their kids take care of their families fully on board with that 0.95

00:45:25.180 um absolutely the problem though is is the conflicting messages in our culture right now

00:45:32.520 because when the child is conceived for the first nine months of that child's existence

00:45:38.200 we tell the father this is none of your business you have no power no say to the extent that

00:45:47.060 um the mother of your child can kill your child and you're not able to prevent it and then as soon 0.92

00:45:53.980 as the child is born now we say okay you're on the hook for the next 18 years

00:45:57.160 so there's a there's a real contradiction here there's a tension that just doesn't doesn't work

00:46:03.800 and so yes i think we should absolutely require men by law as we do and maybe these laws can be

00:46:12.000 improved we should require men by law to care for their children but that requirement and duty and

00:46:17.980 obligation and also privilege should should begin not at birth which is an arbitrary point but at

00:46:23.180 conception at the moment that your child exists you now have as a as a man you have an obligation

00:46:28.220 to care for that child and the privilege to care for that child

00:46:31.440 that's the way it should work if our laws made any sense at all which they don't did you know that

00:46:37.780 children can be targets of identity theft just like adults school or medical office data breaches

00:46:42.420 are common ways that their information is exposed to cyber thieves you can help protect your child's

00:46:47.700 identity by limiting how you share their social security numbers you can find safe locations for

00:46:52.720 their documents and also keep your online devices free of viruses and spyware do all of that

00:46:57.540 because look it's important to understand how cyber crime and identity theft are affecting our lives

00:47:02.000 your personal information or your the information of your kids gets exposed so often making it

00:47:06.660 dangerously easy for a cyber criminal to steal your identity protecting your identity can be easy

00:47:12.040 though with lifelock by norton lifelock detects and alerts you to potential identity threats you may

00:47:16.960 not spot on your own like loans taken out in your name if you become a victim of identity theft a

00:47:21.740 dedicated u.s based restoration specialist will work to fix it so you get plenty of coverage and

00:47:27.200 protection at every level of this problem nobody can prevent all identity theft or monitor all

00:47:31.320 transactions at all businesses but it's easy to help protect yourself with lifelock identity theft

00:47:35.440 protection starts here join now and save 25 off your first year at lifelock.com slash walsh that's

00:47:42.180 lifelock.com slash walsh for 25 off and also you know the women's march was this weekend as you heard

00:47:49.560 and in case you were too busy enjoying your life to notice there were a lot of people very angry i don't

00:47:53.840 want to misgender anyone uh just angry people shouting incoherent things about the right to murder

00:47:58.720 children in the womb at any point of pregnancy if they so choose meanwhile if they'd only stay at home 0.55

00:48:03.800 and watched our new daily wire original documentary choosing death the legacy of roe they might have

00:48:08.220 actually learned some relevant facts context and history that they could have incorporated into all

00:48:12.860 their costumed chanting and graphic sign waving but you can help us fight back become a daily wire

00:48:18.360 member and watch choosing death the legacy of roe where you can hear all the facts and all the

00:48:22.340 stories that the abortion regime has suppressed for generations a very important film you don't want to

00:48:26.820 miss it uh here's the trailer check it out um many times when we did this

00:48:38.940 as we started uh patients would begin crying and protesting

00:48:49.400 but once we had begun dilating the cervix and passing instruments into the uterus it was too late to

00:48:56.480 stop

00:48:56.900 i was handing hush money to women who we had left pieces of their baby we had put these women's lives 1.00

00:49:12.520 in jeopardy we had put their lives at risk and we were literally giving them a check for eight hundred

00:49:17.960 dollars and for a poor woman eight hundred dollars a lot of money 1.00

00:49:22.800 i mean there have been so many moments in the last decade plus of going undercover in abortion clinics

00:49:31.720 myself and seeing just heartbreaking things women vomiting in the hallway of an abortion clinic crying out

00:49:39.320 in pain the late-term abortionist talking casually about how they would literally leave a born alive

00:49:46.680 baby to die or if you deliver the baby in the toilet then you pick it up and stuff it in a plastic bag and 0.54

00:49:51.160 bring it to us babies are being born alive and the backs of their necks are being slid they are being

00:49:58.840 drowned um their necks are being snapped it's it's happening more often than people want to think about

00:50:06.600 about these abortion facilities these abortion providers these doctors they don't care about

00:50:14.680 these women and you're just you're realizing you're watching in front of your own eyes play out 0.99

00:50:20.360 america's greatest horror story which is how we butcher children in the name of choice 0.96

00:50:34.600 the fight for life has

00:51:03.640 all come down to this moment so go to dailywire.com slash choosing and help us expose abortion's full

00:51:09.640 gruesome truth right now now let's get to our daily cancellation

00:51:16.920 today our cancellation begins with a person whose name is a fun riddle for someone like myself who

00:51:21.960 infamously has so much trouble pronouncing names i'll take one pass at this and we'll go with whatever

00:51:26.440 pronunciation happens to pop out the name is raksha vasudavin raksha vasudavin here we go she's a

00:51:34.760 writer for the new york times and vice and she's certainly the kind of person who would not be at

00:51:38.200 all amused by me making jokes about her unpronounceable name in fact miss v as we'll call her recently went

00:51:45.000 viral with a tweet about the harrowing challenges immigrants face in this country she posts a picture of a

00:51:50.760 sign that her uber driver had posted in his car and she captions seen in today's uber thinking of

00:51:56.920 making a duplicate to hang around my neck and then the sign says which the uber driver posted

00:52:01.960 dear passenger please do not ask me where are you from the where are you from question

00:52:07.720 conversation makes me sick frustrated and uncomfortable thanks for your understanding

00:52:12.200 now until the sane parts of twitter got a hold of this tweet and started responding which led miss v to 1.00

00:52:19.320 deleting it entirely many of the responses were from other immigrants applauding the uber driver and

00:52:23.880 voicing their agreement i think just one example should suffice a woman named kian julie wang who 0.94

00:52:29.240 identifies herself as x undocumented as well as a a litigator a vegan yogi and an obsessive dog mom

00:52:36.840 all those from her directly chimed in with this i once had a white uber driver ask me this and

00:52:42.760 when i said here he said obviously we all live here now but where are you really from i ignored him and

00:52:49.080 he asked again louder i said i wasn't comfortable answering nor talking he got very angry louder and

00:52:54.280 insisted it was a very fair topic of convo and why wouldn't i just answer him it was so scary i had to 0.94

00:53:00.120 call my husband and keep him on the phone the whole ride psa to white people you are not entitled to 0.98

00:53:05.480 interrogate the personal history of bipoc or any random human for that matter the only time i

00:53:10.040 welcome this question is when a new asian immigrant is looking to bond slash chat in a possibly shared

00:53:14.680 first language many koreans mistake me for korean which i take as a compliment i once got scolded

00:53:19.480 by an old korean lady in k-town for abandoning my mother tongues ah you see if you're white then you 0.93

00:53:26.120 don't have permission to speak to her but if you're asian then you can actually go up to her 0.97

00:53:29.640 and scream at her and she'll take it as a compliment 0.99

00:53:32.280 i can only hope that this woman's husband explained to her that the uber driver was annoyed 0.64

00:53:37.320 because she was being incredibly rude but i think we can be fairly certain that she would not have

00:53:41.800 married the kind of man who would tell her the truth in situations like this or in any other

00:53:45.080 situation her husband is likely as neutered as her dogs are we might assume but in any event this this

00:53:50.040 all is quite common among young leftist immigrants i don't say that it's common among immigrants in general

00:53:55.640 most immigrants have probably never heard of the concept of microaggressions and once they do hear

00:54:00.840 about it they begin to second guess their decision to come to this confused society in the first

00:54:04.440 place but on the left it's considered a microaggression and othering if you say anything

00:54:10.440 to a foreigner which acknowledges that they are foreigners they don't want to talk about that 1.00

00:54:16.520 aspect of themselves except for all the times when they do want to talk about that aspect of

00:54:21.800 themselves in fact miss v's bio on her website says this born in india and raised in canada

00:54:29.240 rakshava sudavin is a writer and former aid worker that's the very first sentence of her biography

00:54:36.360 the first thing she wants anyone reading her bio to know is that she was born in india and yet she

00:54:42.680 doesn't want it to come up in casual conversation the self-contradiction is evident across the board the

00:54:49.000 left of course relentlessly insists that we celebrate immigrants minorities quote unquote

00:54:54.520 bipoc etc and yet at the same time we're not necessarily given permission to notice that anyone

00:54:59.720 actually is an immigrant or minority they'll tell us that um you know that they will tell us when we're

00:55:05.720 allowed to notice it and in what way and what we can and cannot say when we do notice it if we've been

00:55:11.480 given permission to notice it at all we find a very similar dynamic with sexual orientation and gender

00:55:17.400 identity because on the one hand the gay leftist or the trans leftist they go to extraordinary lengths 0.94

00:55:24.600 to advertise their lgbt membership and they demand to be celebrated and worship for it but on the other 0.98

00:55:31.240 hand just because you're required to celebrate it doesn't mean you're allowed to ask them about it

00:55:36.520 or talk about it or make note of it again they will make the rules that govern how you can speak to

00:55:43.320 them or speak about them and the rules are subject to change any time without notice you must not

00:55:50.200 only follow the rules but figure out a way to read their minds so that you can know the rules ahead of

00:55:55.800 time because you also can't ask them about the rules you can't do that you just you just have to know

00:56:00.520 you have to you have to sense it intuitively is this one of those moments when it's a microaggression

00:56:06.600 for me to ask them about their identity or it's a microaggression to not ask them well you just have

00:56:11.560 to you have to know you have to read their mind this is how they believe human interactions work

00:56:17.080 and they're wrong so let me explain the reality and i'm speaking now directly to miss v if she happens

00:56:22.760 to see us here's what you need to know first of all when somebody asks you where you're from

00:56:29.880 that is their attempt to be friendly that's them trying to form a human connection with you

00:56:35.320 that's another human being reaching out to you a fellow human being in an effort to relate to

00:56:41.320 you and get to know you if this irritates you or offends you that's a sign of something wrong inside

00:56:47.320 of you you're the problem that's your hang-up that's your issue at best it's a pet peeve but here's the

00:56:54.920 thing about pet peeves they're your problem i feel the same about pet peeves as i do about actual pets

00:57:01.320 you can have them lots of people do but don't make them my problem okay i don't care if you have a

00:57:08.440 dog i just i don't want to have to listen to him or find his uh find his defecation on my lawn

00:57:16.200 keep it to yourself except in this case it's worse than a pet peeve because it's ego which causes you to 0.61

00:57:22.600 be offended by basic questions about yourself this is your own weird little narcissistic impulse now you

00:57:28.920 may tell yourself that because you don't want to talk about yourself in these situations it's

00:57:33.080 actually the opposite of narcissism but that's not the case it's narcissism because you again like any

00:57:37.720 leftist you believe that you have the right to set the rules for the conversation you think you can

00:57:44.200 and should control what people say to you you want to set the parameters not just on what strangers

00:57:50.120 say to you but on how they perceive you sometimes you want to be perceived as an immigrant other

00:57:56.200 times you don't and you think the rest of the world has to just dance along to whatever tune you

00:58:02.360 happen to be humming at any given moment no that's not the world's responsibility the responsibility in

00:58:09.400 fact goes the other way it is your responsibility to suppress and manage your personal hang-ups and

00:58:17.240 unreasonable irritations so they don't become a burden on other people you must conform yourself to the

00:58:24.440 standards of a civilized society society isn't going to conform to you random strangers on the

00:58:29.560 street they don't know about your ridiculous pet peeves all they know is that you're another person 0.77

00:58:35.000 a fellow human being they might try to strike up conversation because they want to know more than 0.90

00:58:39.880 that they want to connect with you and in your case they'll quickly learn that the most pertinent

00:58:45.400 facts about you are that you're rude unpleasant overly sensitive manipulative and controlling 0.51

00:58:50.120 but at least they'll never find out exactly where you're from so you get your way in that respect 0.88

00:58:55.320 i suppose either way you're still in the end cancelled and we'll leave it there for today

00:59:01.000 thanks for watching thanks for listening have a great day godspeed
