Today on The Matt Walsh Show, the holy month of Pride Month begins today, and we're kicking
00:00:03.600
off by waging an all-out assault on gender ideology with my new film, which premieres
00:00:09.520

00:00:18.280
after being locked in prison with biological males speaks out.
00:00:21.880
Her story is truly just outrageous and terrifying, and J.D. Vance earns ridicule from the left
00:00:27.800
for making some very correct observations about pornography, and in our Daily Cancellation,
00:00:32.140
yet another Hollywood actress is traumatized because a few people online criticized her,
00:00:38.120
We'll talk about all that and more today on The Matt Walsh Show.

00:02:01.520
Today, June 1st, kicks off our culture's holiest and most sacred month.
00:02:06.180
A month which, as it has been decreed by every Fortune 500 corporation,
00:02:10.380
including the Fortune 500 corporation known as the U.S. government,
00:02:12.740
must be set aside to celebrate several of the deadliest sins, in particular pride.
00:02:19.600
We used to have pride parades, which would happen on certain days.
00:02:24.220
You'd have like a pride event, but that wasn't enough.
00:02:28.000
So they came up with pride day, and that wasn't enough.
00:02:30.680
So they declared pride week, and that wasn't enough.
00:02:35.120
But that also was not enough, which is why pride month is but one occasion
00:02:38.720
on the calendar set aside for the noble royalty in the LGBT kingdom.
00:02:44.640
Indeed, every month features at least one holy day of LGBT observation.
00:02:49.060
The Biden administration kicked things off today by unfurling a pride flag
00:02:55.460
They still don't have enough pride to do the same thing over our embassies
00:03:03.240
The U.S. embassy in Pakistan did, in fact, hold a pride event back in 2011 under Obama.
00:03:07.480
But the Muslim population in the country protested back in 2011,
00:03:11.660
calling the event, quote, cultural terrorism and condemning the LGBT community as, quote,
00:03:17.520
and I'm quoting, a curse of society and social garbage.
00:03:21.600
The U.S. embassy in Pakistan has been a little less vocal about gay pride ever since.
00:03:25.460
But here at home, the government is loud and proud and brave.
00:03:29.220
Biden issued a proclamation today declaring, quote,
00:03:31.320
This month, we celebrate generations of LGBTQI plus people who have fought to
00:03:37.600
make the possibilities of our nation real for every American.
00:03:41.700
He then veered into even more fantasy, claiming,
00:03:44.500
Today, the rights of LGBTQI plus Americans are under relentless attack.
00:03:50.680
Members of the LGBTQI plus community, especially people of color and trans people,
00:03:55.960
continue to face discrimination and cruel, persistent efforts to undermine their human rights.
00:04:00.280
An onslaught of dangerous anti-LGBTQI plus legislation has been introduced and passed
00:04:05.720
in states across the country, targeting transgender children and their parents and
00:04:11.760
These unconscionable attacks have left countless LGBTQI plus families in fear and pain.
00:04:22.640
Yeah, nobody ever provides an example of such legislation.
00:04:25.080
All they can do is speak generally about it or else invent specific bills,
00:04:29.320
you know, ones that they invent, like the Don't Say Gay bill, which doesn't actually exist.
00:04:33.260
But never do they point to the actual language of an actual piece of legislation
00:04:38.080
in an actual American state to prove that there is anti-LGBT conspiracy.
00:04:49.060
And that's because there is no such conspiracy.
00:04:57.940
In fact, the modern American LGBT person, if he conforms ideologically to the left-wing
00:05:02.760
doctrines of the day, which is always the qualifier here, but if he does, then he will be by far
00:05:08.300
and away the most privileged sort of American to ever exist.
00:05:12.020
Because there's never been a group as relentlessly coddled, pampered, complimented, elevated,
00:05:19.760
fawned over, and supported as LGBT people in modern America.
00:05:25.020
And yet, leftism anchors itself on the victim hierarchy, which means that it must always be
00:05:32.260
fighting against this imaginary victimization, but it can never succeed in actually stopping
00:05:37.400
the victimization or even improving the situation slightly.
00:05:45.880
The whole thing falls apart if they ever admit that they've succeeded in doing any of the
00:05:52.280
If they say, well, you know, we fought to make LGBT people more accepted in society,
00:06:00.500
If they do that, then they'll have nothing left to do or say, and they'll watch themselves
00:06:07.460
So they must always fight for this acceptance, and yet, by their own telling, continually lose.
00:06:14.060
They will become impotent if they don't pretend that they are impotent.
00:06:21.340
And perhaps that's what this month ought to be called instead, actually.
00:06:26.620
And it is that confusion which will be exposed tonight with the premiere, finally, of our film
00:06:33.360
We held off releasing the film so that we could coincide its premiere with the start of pride
00:06:37.520
month, which is just the sort of petty and trolling move that you've come to expect and
00:06:46.920
There's nothing petty about the film, though, despite its origins.
00:06:49.560
The truth is that, you know, the film did begin with a tweet.
00:06:53.600
Four years ago, I put out the question out into the world on Twitter, what is a woman?
00:06:58.600
Because it occurred to me that the statement, I identify as a woman, doesn't mean anything
00:07:03.440
if the person making the statement or the people telling us to take the statement seriously
00:07:07.460
aren't able to define the thing that the person is identifying as.
00:07:16.620
And they didn't answer that, so I wrote articles about it.
00:07:27.760
One option was simply to let it go, but I can't let anything go.
00:07:31.400
And so I took the second option, which is this film.
00:07:35.500
And when we set out to ask this question and, in the process, explore the darkest depths of
00:07:41.660
gender ideology, the truth is that I didn't know, you know, exactly what would happen.
00:07:46.580
All I knew is that if we're making a film out of this, I didn't want, we didn't want it
00:07:53.720
to be just your standard right-wing documentary.
00:07:56.140
We're not interested in bringing a bunch of people I agree with into a room, asking them
00:08:00.600
questions just so they could give me an answer that I could have said myself, and then slap
00:08:06.800
If that's how we were going to approach the film, we may as well not approach it at all.
00:08:10.940
We knew that we had to go out and put ourselves into the middle of the madness.
00:08:18.100
We had to talk to people we don't already agree with.
00:08:21.120
We had to take some risks, perhaps even put ourselves in some unsafe situations here and
00:08:28.660
And if we were going to get answers, it was the only way to get them.
00:08:32.680
And our journey took us all over the country and beyond, which you'll see tonight.
00:08:36.040
As you've heard, we even went to Africa, deep into Kenya, down into the bush to speak to
00:08:42.700
And our reason for talking to the Maasai tribe was really threefold.
00:08:46.400
One, we wanted to test the leftist claim that the gender binary is a Western construct.
00:08:54.940
You can't get more non-Western than the Maasai tribe.
00:08:59.340
And if the man-woman distinction is a Western social construct, which is what the left says.
00:09:04.400
They say that the idea that men have penises, women have vaginas, that's a social, it's like
00:09:13.020
And if that's the case, then surely the Maasai tribe will have an entirely different way of
00:09:19.200
And two, if it turns out that the Maasai actually do believe that sex is binary, then we wanted
00:09:24.900
to see what it would be like to try to explain these progressive ideas about gender to people
00:09:33.620
Sometimes that's the best way to find out if an idea is totally incoherent.
00:09:37.520
And three, we went because we thought it would be really funny.
00:09:41.620
That's, you know, actually that might be the first reason and all the other ones, but still,
00:09:46.940
Well, I have a short clip of that exchange, actually, which I'm finally allowed to play
00:09:53.620
What if a man decides that his gender identity is woman?
00:09:58.980
A woman has its own duty, and a man has its own duty, and a lady cannot do the duty of
00:10:16.800
a man, and a man cannot do the duty of a woman.
00:10:41.920
It looks like if you want to become a lady but you're a man, you have something wrong in
00:10:48.600
Something wrong in your family, something wrong in you.
00:11:06.320
Yeah, someone's like, someone is neither, they're something else, is that...
00:11:10.360
He's saying we have never seen things like those.
00:11:23.620
For a man, he has a penis, for a woman, he has a vagina.
00:11:56.440
But as you can see from that snippet, it is gender ideology, not the gender binary, which
00:12:04.440
The tribesmen say that transgender people have something wrong in their heads and their families.
00:12:13.900
They get kicked off YouTube for talking like that, if they had YouTube or the internet
00:12:19.680
They get doxxed for such talk, if they had fixed addresses and weren't nomadic.
00:12:25.020
They get fired from their jobs if they had jobs.
00:12:28.660
They exist outside the modern Western bubble completely.
00:12:32.240
And it's a very different world out there, as we discovered.
00:12:36.640
And in keeping with Pride Month, I can say that I'm very proud of the film.
00:12:42.600
At the end of it all, I think I can say that it was worth it.
00:12:46.060
And you can see for yourself, but you have to be a Daily Wire member.
00:12:51.840
And the final thing I'll say is to the leftists who are already quite upset about this film,
00:12:56.240
and they've been trying to deplatform me and get me kicked off of everything.
00:12:59.380
And I don't know if they'll succeed in doing that or not.
00:13:01.400
And they're doing all this even though they haven't even seen the film yet.
00:13:05.560
But to them, all I can say is, you should have just responded to my tweet.
00:13:27.220
Well, you know, scammers are always looking to rain on everybody's parade
00:13:32.640
Like celebrations for grads and dads are the perfect setup for e-card scammers.
00:13:37.160
If you click on one of these fake e-cards sent via email,
00:13:40.740
it could install malware, steal your information, add pop-up ads,
00:13:47.120
Which, by the way, if you're a dad and your kid's sending you an e-card through email,
00:13:52.240
then that's reason enough not to, even if it's real, don't open it anyway, just out of principle.
00:13:56.620
It's important to understand how cybercrime and identity theft are affecting our lives.
00:14:00.580
Your personal information gets exposed so often,
00:14:02.800
making it dangerously easy for a cybercriminal to steal your identity.
00:14:06.080
Protecting your identity can be easy, though, with LifeLock by Norton.

00:14:39.440
All right, well, with everything going on in the world, the Biden administration is on top of its game as always.
00:14:49.220
You might be a little bit worried because of all these various crises that we're facing.
00:14:53.600
But the good news is that the Biden administration is here.
00:15:03.380
And they're making sure that all this is taken care of.
00:15:07.540
And that's why yesterday they had the Korean pop group BTS at the White House for a press briefing.
00:15:16.340
Well, then we'll listen to the new White House Press Secretary, Karen Jean-Pierre, explain why.
00:15:22.120
The president has led a historic whole-of-government approach to combat racism, xenophobia, and tolerance, intolerance facing ANHPI communities.
00:15:33.960
Beginning his first week in office when he issued a presidential memorandum leveraging the power of the federal government to stand against this hate.
00:15:43.740
The president also signed the COVID-19 Hate Crimes Act into law, signed an executive order to reestablish the White House Initiative on Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders,
00:15:57.080
and funded critical research to prevent and address xenophobia against AA and NHPI communities.
00:16:10.660
They're just throwing random letters in there now.
00:16:14.300
So this is about ending anti-Asian hate crimes and violence against Asian Americans.
00:16:26.260
That is a real problem we can add to the list of all of our other problems.
00:16:29.740
And it's a problem that, yeah, the people in charge should be talking about.
00:16:32.940
In fact, there was just a few days ago, there was, I believe this was in New York City,
00:16:36.840
there was another video of an Asian man being horrifically assaulted and brutalized while waiting for the train.
00:16:49.240
And so a lot of this kind of thing is happening in our cities.
00:16:56.980
It's that I'm not really interested in hearing anybody talk about anti-Asian hate crimes or anti-Asian violence
00:17:07.720
unless they're going to acknowledge what the problem actually is
00:17:15.040
and who is committing almost all of this violence.
00:17:21.420
Because although, now, most of the time, and you just heard there,
00:17:26.660
when they talk about the anti-Asian violence, they don't come out and say,
00:17:30.320
I mean, sometimes they do, but especially the Biden administration, they're pretty careful about this.
00:17:33.980
They don't usually come out and say, and she didn't come out and say there, that this is due to white supremacy.
00:17:39.120
They don't directly, explicitly make that link, but they don't have to
00:17:43.080
because they've already set the groundwork here, which is that on the left,
00:17:46.280
like anytime they're talking about racism, it's always white people who are the culprits
00:17:51.720
because according to them, according to critical race theory, it can only be white people.
00:17:56.480
White people are inherently racist, according to them, and nobody else can be racist.
00:18:02.460
So they don't need to come out and always explicitly make that connection.
00:18:12.360
But that is not actually the source of the anti-Asian violence that's happening.
00:18:20.180
In fact, we've unfortunately seen many videos of this kind of thing of Asian people,
00:18:26.860
often elderly Asian people, elderly Asian women, you know, Asian people of all different ages.
00:18:34.180
We've unfortunately seen many videos of them being attacked and assaulted.
00:18:38.860
And I'm not aware, and I can't, I could be wrong, there could be some exceptions to this,
00:18:43.380
but off the top of my head anyway, I can't think of one example where the person committing
00:18:49.500
the assault was white because what they don't want to tell you is that in almost every case
00:18:56.940
that you can think of, this is black on Asian violence.
00:19:01.120
And that actually is somewhat to be expected because there's a long history here of, I guess
00:19:08.720
we would say, tension, especially in our cities, between black communities and Asian communities.
00:19:13.040
That's the unspoken of reality that anyone who knows anything about this realizes is the case,
00:19:26.000
So unless you're going to specifically talk about that problem,
00:19:30.340
which is the source of almost all this violence,
00:19:34.580
then there's no point in talking about it at all.
00:19:37.900
You're not actually trying to solve it, are you?
00:19:39.880
And if you are going to talk about that problem,
00:19:44.000
I don't think you need BTS to come in and be the spokesman for this,
00:19:55.180
and it looks like there's this, this is a group,
00:19:57.100
I thought it was just like three or four of them,
00:20:00.240
And they each got up and they said a few words.
00:20:03.160
So let's listen to one of the BTS guys, you know, address the crowd.
00:20:29.540
I am sorry that our music sounds like the Backstreet Boys,
00:20:34.060
I'm sorry that our lyrics are written by a random pop song word generator.
00:20:40.000
So I was kind of, I wasn't expecting him to say that,
00:20:42.580
but that's according to this translation anyway.
00:20:47.540
And that's what BTS, I mean, they brought BTS in to talk about this
00:20:53.040
and they don't, you know, they don't actually speak English.
00:20:56.900
why are they going to be the spokesman for this problem?
00:21:02.080
But once again, there's no point in talking about the problem at all,
00:21:07.460
and what is actually the source of the problem.
00:21:12.620
Another medical expert is suggesting that current testosterone suppression
00:21:17.380
requirements for athletes is most likely insufficient
00:21:20.160
for evening the playing field between transgender women
00:21:25.400
As part of an exclusive Good Morning America segment
00:21:29.100
which we played some of that for you yesterday.
00:21:31.460
There was also an interview with Dr. Michael Joyner,
00:21:40.480
whether years of hormone therapy cannot put trans women in a place
00:21:46.220
And he said, I think that the evidence so far would suggest
00:21:48.480
that a period of a year, two years, three years, four years
00:21:54.540
Joyner also shared his thoughts on testosterone advantages
00:21:59.680
you see the divergence immediately as the testosterone surges into the boys.
00:22:03.480
There are dramatic differences in performances.
00:22:06.440
Joyner added there are social aspects to sport,
00:22:11.820
Testosterone is the 800-pound gorilla, he says.
00:22:22.960
And, you know, we live in such an insane culture
00:22:25.680
that for this guy to even say what he just said there
00:22:31.900
It actually requires courage for him to say out loud
00:22:35.960
that, yeah, well, you know, there are biological differences
00:22:39.980
and you can't just get an injection or take a pill
00:22:57.800
after having already gone through puberty, right?
00:23:17.520
that this is not a pitch for starting the pills earlier,
00:23:23.540
This is a pitch for not doing it to anybody at all of any age,
00:23:34.500
is that he says testosterone is the 800-pound gorilla here.
00:23:38.440
Well, actually, there are several 800-pound gorillas.
00:23:58.620
or even really hundreds of physiological differences
