Transcript

00:00:00.000 Today on the Matt Wall Show, the Navy puts out a new instructional video teaching sailors and
00:00:04.340 other military members how to use and respect a person's preferred pronouns. We have the actual
00:00:08.880 instructional video, which we will play for you today because you have to see it for yourself
00:00:11.680 to believe it. Also, Republicans sell out on gun control, but did they actually sell out or are
00:00:15.860 they simply doing exactly what we expect them to do and what they've always done? We'll talk about
00:00:20.240 that. And a mother raises a quarter of a million dollars based on a horrific story of her son being
00:00:24.080 bullied. The only problem is that the story doesn't seem to be true. At what point will people stop
00:00:27.740 falling for these kinds of scams? In our daily cancellation, the left is justifying child
00:00:31.820 drag shows by comparing them to 90s cross-dressing comedies like Mrs. Doubtfire. But this argument
00:00:37.360 actually undermines and destroys their own premise. I'll explain why all of that and more today on
00:00:41.720 the Matt Wall Show. You know, in the past, public schools were simply neglecting foundational subjects
00:00:55.300 like math, English, science, and history. Many looked the other way. Now we see woke teachers
00:01:00.400 proudly bragging on social media about pushing radical, sometimes sexually charged propaganda
00:01:05.100 on kids as young as five years old. There are even reports of teachers secretly hosting drag shows
00:01:10.020 for students without the consent of parents, all with the blessing of unions and some members of
00:01:14.740 Congress as well. So if you want a real education for your child, you need Freedom Project Academy.
00:01:19.640 They've perfected live online learning for more than a decade. Freedom Project Academy is built on
00:01:24.900 Judeo-Christian values and classical curriculum. They're dedicated to providing mastery of subject
00:01:29.060 matter, not leftist propaganda. All you got to do is go to freedomforschool.com. That's
00:01:34.360 freedomforschool.com to request your free information packet today. And you got to do that because think
00:01:39.380 about this. What is a college degree worth if the average public school graduate can only read and
00:01:43.380 write at a seventh grade level? Go to freedomforschool.com. That's freedomforschool.com.
00:01:49.080 And get your child enrolled at Freedom Project Academy before spots fill up. That's
00:01:52.460 freedomforschool.com. Freedomforschool.com. Yesterday, we talked about the fact that we live
00:01:59.140 in a theocracy, not a Christian theocracy, of course. We aren't that fortunate, but a theocracy
00:02:03.840 which governs according to the leftist religion. Now, I firmly believe that leftism is the modern
00:02:09.160 equivalent of a religion and that much of what it does and how its adherents behave can best be
00:02:15.020 understood through the lens of religion. Though I also do worry that I'm insulting religion by calling
00:02:20.280 leftism a religion. After all, most religions are much more impressive, intellectually richer,
00:02:25.960 more systematically coherent, have far greater and more meaningful substance than leftism does.
00:02:32.640 Perhaps it's just better to call leftism an ideology or a political theory and leave it at that.
00:02:38.180 But that, I think, doesn't quite capture what this thing is in its fullness. It doesn't account for the
00:02:44.400 zeal of its adherents or its dogmatic nature or the faith required to believe anything that it
00:02:50.400 preaches. What makes this a religion, ultimately, is that it has its own high priests, its own sacraments,
00:02:56.060 its own holy days, its own spiritual convictions, its own tenets and dogmas, its own canon, its own
00:03:01.840 catechism. It hunts for heretics and punishes blasphemers. It exiles its apostates and calls for
00:03:08.420 complete submission to its doctrines. It has its own higher power, its own god, which is the self,
00:03:14.480 the individual ego. It may be a flimsier, weirder, less intellectually rigorous, shallower version of
00:03:22.220 religion, but it is a religion all the same. And that's how we can begin to make sense of this.
00:03:28.460 As the Washington Free Beacon first reported, quote, the Navy is training its members to create a safe
00:03:33.620 space by using proper gender pronouns in a new instructional video modeled after a children's
00:03:39.340 show. The official training video is meant to emphasize, quote, the importance of using correct
00:03:44.000 pronouns as well as polite etiquette when you may not be sure of somebody's pronouns, according to the
00:03:48.900 Navy, which late last month published the video online. The Defense Visual Information Distribution
00:03:53.900 Service touts the video as an official U.S. Navy video posted by Air Force Staff Sergeant John
00:04:00.740 Venucci. Now, if you go to the Defense Visual Information Distribution Service website, it will
00:04:05.880 connect you over to the Naval Sea Systems Command website, where you can find a longer explanation
00:04:10.640 for this pronoun video. In an article titled Empowering a Diverse Workforce, Naval Sea Systems Command
00:04:17.640 Inclusion and Engagement Projects Take Shape, we're told the following, quote, the diversity team is
00:04:23.420 creating a video series called NAV Speaks to educate and empower employees to reach their full potential.
00:04:29.160 The program started off as a TED Talks kind of video platform for the NAV Sea community to connect
00:04:34.960 employees to opportunities. The video platform bridges employees to programs, resources, and
00:04:39.620 opportunities for leadership development and career advancement. By highlighting diverse voices and
00:04:43.420 perspectives, NAV Speaks educates and empowers future leaders who will represent the community
00:04:48.200 they serve. NAV Speaks will transition to the Office of Engagement, Diversity, and Inclusion at the end of
00:04:54.560 the fiscal year. So, we go back now to the Washington Free Beacon Report with a little more added context.
00:05:00.220 It says, the video is the latest bid by the military to foster a more sensitive environment for its
00:05:04.320 members and staff. The Army mandates similar gender identity training and trains officers on when to
00:05:09.440 offer subordinates gender transition surgery, according to the Washington Free Beacon Report in March.
00:05:14.460 These programs are part of a larger push by the Biden administration to make the military
00:05:17.760 more welcoming to transgender individuals. Now, with all that in mind, it's time to actually watch
00:05:24.580 the video. And I'm sure you didn't think that you'd escape this segment without being subjected to the
00:05:28.620 video itself. You know me better than that by now. And so, here it is. This is the actual instructional
00:05:33.640 video produced by and for the Navy. While other countries are training their military members on how to
00:05:39.280 more effectively brutalize and kill the enemy, we're training ours with this.
00:05:46.100 Hi, my name is Johnny, and I use he-him pronouns.
00:05:49.340 Hi, and I'm Conchi, and I use she-her pronouns.
00:05:52.040 And we're here to talk about pronouns.
00:05:54.440 What is a pronoun? A pronoun is how we identify ourselves apart from our name,
00:05:59.740 and it's also how people refer to us in conversations.
00:06:02.780 Using the right pronouns is a really simple way to affirm someone's identity.
00:06:06.580 It is a signal of acceptance and respect.
00:06:10.540 If it's a signal of acceptance and respect, how do we go about creating a safe space for everybody?
00:06:16.620 That's a good question. A really good way to do that is to use inclusive language.
00:06:20.880 Instead of saying something like, hey, guys, you can say, hey, everyone, or hey, team.
00:06:27.360 Yeah, and now that you say that, another way that we could show that we're allies and that we accept
00:06:32.060 everybody is to maybe include our pronouns in our emails, or, like we just did, introduce ourselves using our pronouns.
00:06:40.400 But what would I do if I misgender someone?
00:06:44.560 I think the first thing to recognize is that it's not the end of the world.
00:06:48.200 You correct yourself and move on, or you accept the correction and move on.
00:06:51.520 The most important thing I can tell you is do not put the burden of making you feel good about your mistake
00:06:57.100 on the person that you just misgendered.
00:06:59.080 Oh, thank you for telling me that.
00:07:02.060 Thank you for telling us that.
00:07:04.020 She says that we must not put any burden on the person that we just misgendered,
00:07:09.580 but that person can put all kinds of burdens on us.
00:07:12.300 In fact, we are saddled with the burden of having to adopt and affirm that individual's misconceptions about reality.
00:07:17.820 We must participate in their game of charades, whether we're in the mood for a game or not.
00:07:22.760 If that person is playing dress-up and make-believe, the burden is on us to abide by the rules of their game.
00:07:29.920 We can't simply exist and mind our own business and live the way we like.
00:07:34.140 We must live how that other person wants us to live and think the way they want us to think
00:07:39.200 and say the things they want us to say.
00:07:41.680 This is all in the name of creating a safe space for that person.
00:07:44.400 Now, if we would like a safe space of our own, a safe space from this kind of lunacy altogether, we're out of luck.
00:07:51.540 That's what we've learned in this Navy instructional video so far.
00:07:54.960 What we haven't learned, though, is anything that has anything to do with being in the Navy.
00:08:00.380 Maybe eventually we'll get around to that.
00:08:02.300 Let's keep watching.
00:08:04.000 Yeah, and another tip for you to remember their pronoun next time, it's in your mind.
00:08:10.760 Kind of go through a progression of three good things about the person using their pronoun.
00:08:16.280 So let's say the person chooses to use they, then you will in your mind go, they have a nice shirt.
00:08:24.040 They have a nice smile.
00:08:26.200 They are really smart.
00:08:27.640 So that kind of sticks in your brain.
00:08:29.360 That is so helpful.
00:08:30.280 No, it would be more like they have blue hair.
00:08:35.580 They are delusional.
00:08:37.460 They are pushy and annoying.
00:08:40.400 They can kiss my ass.
00:08:42.620 I'm not playing this game.
00:08:43.920 Am I doing that right?
00:08:44.700 See, that's the problem with this trick.
00:08:46.100 It assumes that there's anything nice to say about the kind of person who prefers the pronoun they.
00:08:51.240 Now you've got me searching for the one positive needle in this haystack of unpleasant personality traits,
00:08:58.280 and the whole thing's gotten a lot more complicated.
00:09:00.800 And what you still haven't done with this video is explain why I should care about anybody's preferred pronouns in the first place.
00:09:07.320 Why is this my problem?
00:09:09.420 Give me one good reason why I should give a damn.
00:09:12.960 Let's see what you got.
00:09:13.780 So I should just lead with my pronouns, and they may follow or not.
00:09:40.820 And if they don't, then I can just continue to use gender-neutral language.
00:09:45.240 Yes, exactly.
00:09:46.220 Just to share something with you that happened the other day at a cookout I was at,
00:09:51.220 we were talking about pronouns, and somebody was disagreeing with how different people see themselves as different pronouns.
00:10:02.340 And the argument was, if you look like a female, then it's she, her, because that's what's normal.
00:10:08.560 And if you make me call you something else, then you're infringing on my rights.
00:10:12.480 And I was really taken aback by the comment, and I really wasn't sure how to respond.
00:10:18.340 And the only thing I could really think quickly to say was, it's not about you at all.
00:10:25.340 And it's mostly and ultimately about respect.
00:10:29.560 It is about respect.
00:10:30.440 What kind of cookout in hell are you attending where people stand around talking about pronouns?
00:10:41.260 There's no way these people even eat meat, so what are they grilling?
00:10:44.300 Imagine finding yourself at a barbecue where they've got nothing but zucchini and tofu burgers on the grill,
00:10:50.420 and everyone begins every conversation by giving their pronouns.
00:10:53.460 By this lady's telling, it sounds like there was maybe one normal person who wandered into this zoo
00:10:59.560 and made the very good point that females are she, her, and it's an infringement on his free speech rights
00:11:05.240 to try and force him to call a female anything other than that.
00:11:08.600 The lady in the video, sitting next to her henpecked patsy,
00:11:11.580 whose only role is to just agree with everything she says, apparently,
00:11:15.040 is she says that she was shocked to encounter someone who feels this way.
00:11:18.680 Which, that doesn't surprise me after we filmed What is a Woman?
00:11:21.840 Of course, we encounter many people like this who are just shocked.
00:11:24.800 I mean, they can't believe that anyone exists who would disagree with these ideas that they invented 15 seconds ago.
00:11:32.180 And she insists that it's not about you, and really, this is just a matter of respect.
00:11:39.500 But see, that's the problem.
00:11:40.380 If you're telling me what I have to say, and what I have to affirm,
00:11:47.540 and the beliefs that I have to pretend that I hold,
00:11:51.580 then how is it not about me?
00:11:53.760 No, it's definitely about me.
00:11:56.880 Okay? It is.
00:11:57.840 I mean, I'm the one we're talking about, right?
00:12:00.800 Now, you see, it goes the other way around.
00:12:02.380 If you have preferred pronouns that differ from your biological identity,
00:12:06.560 and I decline to use them,
00:12:09.500 and we are talking about my own actions here,
00:12:11.920 so this is, we're talking about me, not you,
00:12:14.340 that decision on my part is not about you.
00:12:19.600 It's not an attack on you personally,
00:12:21.580 any more than I'm attacking you personally,
00:12:23.180 when I say that 2 plus 2 equals 4,
00:12:25.320 or that the sun is hot,
00:12:26.420 or that the ocean is made of water.
00:12:28.140 I am simply choosing to live in reality.
00:12:31.480 That's all.
00:12:32.760 You might prefer that I live somewhere else,
00:12:34.600 but that's not my problem.
00:12:37.080 Okay?
00:12:37.500 I am no more under an obligation
00:12:39.380 to live in your fantasy land,
00:12:42.100 because you want me to,
00:12:43.580 than I am to live, you know,
00:12:45.400 in Cincinnati, Ohio, because you want me to.
00:12:47.780 You might as well tell me,
00:12:48.500 I want you to pick up and move,
00:12:50.020 and move to Cincinnati.
00:12:50.900 Why should I do it?
00:12:51.360 Because I want you to live there.
00:12:52.180 That's where I want you to live.
00:12:53.740 What?
00:12:54.660 That's not about you.
00:12:56.560 I want you to live there.
00:12:57.460 How is it not about me?
00:12:58.260 You're talking about where I live.
00:13:01.360 I want to live in reality is where I want to live.
00:13:02.980 And you should respect my desire to exist in reality,
00:13:06.880 and to use words that make sense,
00:13:08.980 and to abide by the rules of proper grammar.
00:13:11.520 I demand that you respect that.
00:13:13.980 I'm the one demanding respect.
00:13:15.880 And if you won't,
00:13:17.420 then I am under no obligation
00:13:19.460 to respect your lack of respect
00:13:21.780 for me and for reality.
00:13:24.400 See, this is how we have to start framing this,
00:13:25.960 because it's true.
00:13:26.520 When you go around talking about your preferred pronouns,
00:13:30.380 that is a lack of respect for everybody else.
00:13:34.340 Telling me your preferred pronouns
00:13:35.660 is a lack of respect.
00:13:36.840 You are disrespecting me
00:13:38.320 by trying to impose this on me.
00:13:44.100 But I feel like we've strayed from the point here.
00:13:46.760 Right?
00:13:47.180 The real question is,
00:13:48.740 why any of this is being discussed
00:13:50.880 in an instruction video for the Navy?
00:13:53.340 Will preferred pronouns make the military
00:13:56.580 more ready, more able, more lethal,
00:13:59.600 more prepared to devastate and destroy our enemies?
00:14:03.440 Is there some sort of tactical advantage
00:14:06.020 to having service members
00:14:07.220 who possess a deep knowledge
00:14:08.540 of non-binary gender identities?
00:14:10.920 No, of course not.
00:14:12.580 Of course there is.
00:14:13.840 But we live in a left-wing theocracy.
00:14:16.700 And these are its doctrines.
00:14:19.120 And they always, always come first.
00:14:22.000 Now let's get to our five headlines.
00:14:30.760 Many of us spend more time every day
00:14:33.480 in our office chair
00:14:34.420 than in our cars or on our beds.
00:14:36.880 That's why it's so important
00:14:37.800 to invest in the right chair
00:14:39.020 to spend those hours
00:14:39.920 with the right level of support and comfort
00:14:41.640 to get the most productivity out of your day.
00:14:44.300 X-chair has made my time at my desk
00:14:45.960 not only more productive,
00:14:47.200 but it's honestly my favorite place to sit
00:14:49.040 for any reason.
00:14:50.400 And not only does X-chair's patented
00:14:51.880 dynamic variable lumbar or DVL
00:14:54.100 offer the ultimate customized support,
00:14:56.400 but my X-chair can even give me a massage
00:14:58.260 or heat up or cool down.
00:14:59.860 It can do all of that.
00:15:00.840 And now thanks to X-chair's new FS360 armrests,
00:15:04.680 I can even adjust my armrests
00:15:06.820 to the perfect position for me.
00:15:08.640 All these unique X-chair features
00:15:10.180 help the hours at my desk
00:15:11.880 fly by in complete comfort.
00:15:13.640 That's why I love my X-chair.
00:15:15.340 So go to xchairwalsh.com.
00:15:17.920 Now that's the letter X,

00:15:29.780 xchairwalsh.com.
00:15:31.720 We start with this from the Daily Wire.
00:15:33.180 It says more than a dozen Republicans
00:15:34.380 joined a largely Democrat effort
00:15:35.960 to advance a gun control bill
00:15:37.500 in the Senate on Tuesday night.
00:15:39.540 Notable Republican senators,
00:15:40.820 including Senators John Cornyn,
00:15:42.300 Lindsey Graham and Mitch McConnell,
00:15:43.780 helped Democrats pass a procedural vote
00:15:45.480 64 to 34 a mere two hours
00:15:47.480 after the text of the bill circulated.
00:15:49.340 The bill could be passed later this week
00:15:51.420 by the Senate
00:15:52.280 and then move on to the House
00:15:53.700 where it's expected to pass.
00:15:55.340 The bill would then go
00:15:56.660 to President Biden's desk.
00:15:58.160 Notably, the 80-page legislation
00:15:59.560 includes language
00:16:00.340 on highly controversial
00:16:01.680 so-called red flag laws.
00:16:04.400 So they had, in two hours,
00:16:05.640 they had read, you know,
00:16:06.640 the entire 80-page legislation
00:16:07.880 and thought about it deeply
00:16:09.260 and decided to go ahead
00:16:10.360 and move forward.
00:16:11.400 According to Fox News,
00:16:12.600 the bill provides grants
00:16:13.720 for states that implement
00:16:15.240 their own red flag laws
00:16:16.460 and offers additional funding
00:16:17.980 for both school safety measures
00:16:19.140 and mental health services.
00:16:21.440 Cornyn, though,
00:16:22.200 claimed on the Senate floor Tuesday
00:16:23.360 that the bill
00:16:23.980 would not create
00:16:25.180 a national red flag law,
00:16:26.480 adding that states
00:16:27.400 could receive the funding
00:16:29.020 regardless of whether
00:16:29.920 they enact such a program.
00:16:32.260 Quote,
00:16:32.840 the measure also creates penalties
00:16:34.260 for straw purchases of firearms,
00:16:35.860 requires more gun sellers
00:16:36.840 to register as federally licensed
00:16:38.340 firearm dealers,
00:16:39.240 and closes the so-called
00:16:40.940 boyfriend loophole
00:16:42.060 by prohibiting gun access
00:16:43.300 for people convicted
00:16:44.140 of domestic abuse
00:16:44.980 against an intimate partner.
00:16:47.700 Gun owners of America
00:16:48.920 said in a press release
00:16:49.920 sent to the Daily Wire
00:16:50.600 that the legislation
00:16:51.280 would encourage
00:16:52.000 backdoor universal background checks
00:16:53.600 by redefining many private sellers
00:16:55.720 as gun dealers,
00:16:57.020 financially incentivizing states
00:16:58.360 to enact unconstitutional
00:16:59.480 red flag laws,
00:17:00.900 and would allow for so-called
00:17:01.980 enhanced background checks,
00:17:03.240 which are arbitrary delays
00:17:04.160 in transferring firearms
00:17:05.100 to adults not yet 21 years old.
00:17:06.780 So that's the basics of the bill.
00:17:09.340 As far as anyone knows,
00:17:10.460 again, it's 80 pages,
00:17:11.320 and they voted to move forward
00:17:13.500 with the legislation
00:17:14.160 after just two hours
00:17:15.160 of the text being made available
00:17:16.920 and being circulated.
00:17:18.260 The full list of the 14 Republicans
00:17:20.460 who voted on the bill,
00:17:21.640 there's no surprises here at all.
00:17:24.200 John Cornyn, Mitch McConnell,
00:17:25.480 Lindsey Graham, Bill Cassidy,
00:17:26.780 Roy Blunt, Richard Burr,
00:17:28.640 Mitt Romney, Rob Portman,
00:17:30.400 like I said, no surprises,
00:17:32.320 Shelley Moore, Capito,
00:17:34.200 Joni Ernst,
00:17:35.140 Lisa Murkowski, Todd Young,
00:17:37.960 and Tom Tillis are the,
00:17:40.360 and Susan Collins, of course.
00:17:41.760 How could I forget?
00:17:42.740 All decided,
00:17:43.260 the usual suspects
00:17:43.940 decided to vote for this bill.
00:17:45.880 And, you know,
00:17:47.740 the problem with the bill
00:17:49.220 are numerous.
00:17:49.800 We've talked about
00:17:50.280 most of the problems already,
00:17:51.780 starting with the fact
00:17:52.620 that none of these measures
00:17:56.140 would have done anything
00:17:57.860 to prevent what happened
00:17:59.460 in Uvalde, Texas
00:18:00.120 or what happened in Buffalo.
00:18:01.020 And we know that
00:18:03.140 because a number of these measures
00:18:05.040 were already on the books,
00:18:06.160 including the red flag laws
00:18:07.320 in New York,
00:18:08.740 and that shooting still happened.
00:18:12.100 So that's the first issue.
00:18:13.800 And the second issue,
00:18:15.000 and it goes beyond this too,
00:18:16.340 but, you know,
00:18:16.720 we don't really need to get beyond
00:18:17.760 the red flag laws
00:18:18.560 and the ways that these
00:18:20.640 are going to be used.
00:18:22.300 And, you know,
00:18:23.040 some people are saying
00:18:23.700 the red flag laws
00:18:24.460 are going to be abused
00:18:25.800 or misused
00:18:27.540 so as to disarm
00:18:30.020 and punish
00:18:30.680 the ideological opponents
00:18:32.460 of the regime.
00:18:34.120 But I wouldn't call that
00:18:35.220 a misuse or an abuse.
00:18:36.360 That's actually
00:18:36.920 what is intended.
00:18:39.620 That is, in fact,
00:18:40.660 the proper use
00:18:41.600 of these red flag laws.
00:18:42.600 That's why they're being put in place
00:18:44.220 is precisely for that reason.
00:18:48.180 To give the regime
00:18:49.320 the ability to disarm
00:18:50.740 whoever they want.
00:18:52.400 Because all they have to say
00:18:53.600 is that, oh,
00:18:54.000 there's a red flag on it.
00:18:54.800 That person might be dangerous.
00:18:57.520 Remember,
00:18:58.020 it's not that
00:18:58.720 they're saying
00:18:59.680 that if you're convicted
00:19:01.620 of a violent crime,
00:19:03.220 we're going to take
00:19:03.740 your guns away.
00:19:04.360 That's already the case.
00:19:06.440 That law's already
00:19:07.220 on the books
00:19:07.820 in, like,
00:19:09.000 15 different forms.
00:19:12.080 Okay,
00:19:12.260 if you're a violent criminal,
00:19:14.520 for one thing,
00:19:15.400 you're going to prison,
00:19:16.460 or you should be anyway,
00:19:17.380 unless you're a violent criminal
00:19:19.140 in, like,
00:19:19.600 Los Angeles
00:19:20.320 or San Francisco.
00:19:23.040 But, ideally,
00:19:24.040 you go to prison
00:19:24.620 and we don't have to worry
00:19:25.440 about you
00:19:25.960 committing acts
00:19:27.840 of violence
00:19:28.240 against the public
00:19:28.840 at that point.
00:19:30.280 So, we're not talking
00:19:31.180 about that.
00:19:31.620 What we're talking about
00:19:32.420 is someone who has not
00:19:33.560 been convicted
00:19:34.300 of any violent crime,
00:19:36.380 but which the state
00:19:37.440 declares
00:19:38.340 is a potential threat
00:19:40.520 to commit violence
00:19:41.500 in the future.
00:19:43.820 And that is,
00:19:44.760 to put up,
00:19:46.940 very mildly,
00:19:47.960 extremely subjective.
00:19:49.440 and it's up to that.
00:19:52.240 We have to trust
00:19:52.900 that the state
00:19:53.620 will have some sort
00:19:55.600 of insight
00:19:57.180 into this.
00:19:58.820 Maybe they have those,
00:19:59.780 what was it,
00:20:00.320 in Minority Report?
00:20:01.500 They had those
00:20:02.080 psychics
00:20:05.160 that they kept
00:20:05.700 in a giant vat
00:20:06.800 of, like,
00:20:07.200 petroleum jelly
00:20:08.020 with their brains hooked.
00:20:09.960 Is it,
00:20:10.220 am I making this up
00:20:11.240 or was that
00:20:11.520 in Minority Report?
00:20:13.260 That was Minority Report.
00:20:14.300 Okay, thanks.
00:20:15.160 That's what I never understood
00:20:15.900 about that movie
00:20:16.540 is that it's in the future
00:20:18.080 and they've got
00:20:20.580 all this crazy technology
00:20:21.800 and you think,
00:20:23.020 oh, they have technology
00:20:23.860 to read the future
00:20:24.560 and they don't.
00:20:25.140 They just have psychics
00:20:25.960 in a vat of petroleum jelly.
00:20:27.860 Anyway,
00:20:28.600 so is that what it's going to be?
00:20:30.280 Do they have the psychics
00:20:31.240 in the petroleum jelly
00:20:32.260 that they can,
00:20:33.140 you know,
00:20:33.380 and the psychics
00:20:34.420 will tell them
00:20:35.040 if someone's,
00:20:35.600 I don't think so.
00:20:37.280 It's up to the state
00:20:38.260 to determine
00:20:38.840 who they think
00:20:39.740 is going to be violent
00:20:40.340 in the future
00:20:40.880 and what,
00:20:42.580 we don't need to speculate
00:20:43.560 about this.
00:20:44.220 the ruling regime,
00:20:47.160 what do they consider
00:20:47.940 the red flags to be?
00:20:49.660 We already know.
00:20:52.240 If you're on the right,
00:20:53.440 then automatically
00:20:54.300 you're a suspected terrorist.
00:20:56.740 If you're,
00:20:57.500 if you're in the,
00:20:59.400 in the PTA,
00:21:00.400 if you're a,
00:21:00.800 if you're a parent
00:21:01.620 at a school board meeting
00:21:03.360 objecting to anything
00:21:05.840 that the school board
00:21:06.720 is doing,
00:21:07.500 you're a suspected
00:21:08.600 domestic terrorist.
00:21:09.560 That's a red flag.
00:21:10.800 Take the guns away.
00:21:11.540 If you don't,
00:21:14.180 if you watched
00:21:14.980 that Navy instruction video
00:21:17.020 and didn't agree
00:21:18.220 with everything
00:21:18.800 you saw in it,
00:21:19.940 then that's a red flag.
00:21:22.120 And by the way,
00:21:22.640 that's not just
00:21:23.240 that you,
00:21:23.640 you might commit
00:21:24.280 violence in the future.
00:21:25.160 You are committing
00:21:25.640 violence right now.
00:21:26.280 If you misgender someone,
00:21:27.560 that is an act of violence.
00:21:29.880 That's a genocidal.
00:21:31.160 That's,
00:21:31.500 that's murderous.
00:21:34.420 So that's how
00:21:35.040 these laws
00:21:35.380 are going to be used.
00:21:36.880 Republicans
00:21:37.260 support it anyway.
00:21:39.020 Should we be surprised
00:21:40.040 by that?
00:21:40.700 Well,
00:21:41.140 of course not.
00:21:42.760 And,
00:21:43.220 um,
00:21:43.420 if you are surprised
00:21:44.360 by it,
00:21:44.820 then I think,
00:21:46.060 and the people
00:21:46.520 who are surprised
00:21:47.140 by it still
00:21:48.540 have not quite
00:21:49.440 come to understand
00:21:52.460 that these people,
00:21:55.320 these Republicans,
00:21:56.420 the reason why
00:21:58.240 they're betraying you
00:21:59.160 is,
00:21:59.920 yeah,
00:22:00.020 we could say
00:22:00.460 that they're cowards
00:22:01.280 and that they're squishes
00:22:02.360 and all of that stuff.
00:22:04.500 Spineless.
00:22:06.120 It's not exactly it,
00:22:07.280 actually.
00:22:08.440 I mean,
00:22:08.660 they are cowards,
00:22:09.420 but that's not really
00:22:10.360 the problem
00:22:10.960 or at least the problem
00:22:12.660 goes beyond that.
00:22:13.420 The real problem
00:22:14.020 is that they don't believe
00:22:15.500 what you believe.
00:22:19.020 Okay?
00:22:19.640 So it's not as though
00:22:21.080 they believe firmly
00:22:22.700 in gun rights,
00:22:23.800 but then they were just
00:22:24.980 scared,
00:22:26.480 right?
00:22:26.840 And they were,
00:22:27.320 and they were,
00:22:27.920 they collapsed under the pressure
00:22:29.480 and decided to support
00:22:31.020 this bill anyway.
00:22:32.760 That's not it.
00:22:33.480 They don't care about gun rights.
00:22:35.640 They don't care about
00:22:36.080 any of this stuff.
00:22:36.900 They don't care about
00:22:37.500 any of the things
00:22:37.980 you care about.
00:22:38.600 They don't believe
00:22:39.240 what you believe.
00:22:41.660 They believe what
00:22:42.780 the supposed opposition believes.
00:22:47.100 They agree with the Democrats
00:22:48.280 on almost everything.
00:22:50.940 And even the disagreements
00:22:52.440 they do have,
00:22:52.860 they don't really care
00:22:53.360 that much about them.
00:22:55.800 This is the fundamental problem
00:22:57.400 with conservative leadership,
00:22:58.920 so-called conservative leadership,
00:23:00.840 pretty much everywhere
00:23:02.160 in every institution.
00:23:03.600 In government,
00:23:05.460 in media,
00:23:07.540 a lot of the conservatives
00:23:08.580 who have put themselves
00:23:09.880 into positions
00:23:10.680 of being sort of spokesmen
00:23:11.880 and leaders in media,
00:23:13.220 it's true of them.
00:23:14.280 In the churches,
00:23:16.320 in all of these areas,
00:23:18.680 we often chalk it up
00:23:19.960 to cowardice,
00:23:20.700 and that's a big part of it.
00:23:21.800 I mean,
00:23:21.980 I wrote a book called
00:23:22.720 Church of Cowards,
00:23:23.860 but even beyond that,
00:23:26.340 these people,
00:23:27.620 they don't actually
00:23:28.600 believe this stuff.
00:23:30.320 That's the first problem.
00:23:32.920 And that explains
00:23:33.860 what they did.
00:23:35.800 Now,
00:23:36.340 for a simpler,
00:23:37.800 though far more tragic case
00:23:39.720 of cowardice,
00:23:42.300 we go to Uvalde, Texas.
00:23:46.620 And the first thing
00:23:47.480 that we have to mention
00:23:48.440 down in Uvalde,
00:23:49.280 and I just saw this headline pop up.
00:23:50.920 Let me see if I can find it again.
00:23:52.640 So I just saw,
00:23:53.120 before we went on the air,
00:23:53.700 I saw this headline pop up.
00:23:54.760 This is Breaking911 on Twitter.
00:23:56.260 It says,
00:23:56.800 Rob Elementary,
00:23:57.540 the Texas school
00:23:58.400 where 19 children
00:23:59.360 and two teachers
00:23:59.860 were killed
00:24:00.460 in a mass shooting
00:24:01.060 will be demolished,
00:24:02.880 according to the Uvalde mayor.
00:24:04.360 So they're going to
00:24:04.820 demolish the school.
00:24:06.800 Now,
00:24:07.320 it's very interesting
00:24:08.120 because Uvalde
00:24:09.280 is the site
00:24:09.960 of a massacre,
00:24:13.560 right,
00:24:14.580 a horrific crime,
00:24:15.880 and it also is where
00:24:17.940 this law enforcement scandal
00:24:19.900 and cover-up
00:24:20.740 revolves around.
00:24:22.820 And they're going
00:24:23.820 to demolish it,
00:24:24.820 which seems an awful lot
00:24:27.460 like getting rid
00:24:28.020 of the evidence to me.
00:24:30.800 This is from
00:24:31.340 the Texas Tribune,
00:24:32.140 and it's worth
00:24:32.660 going to the Texas Tribune
00:24:33.620 to read the latest
00:24:34.520 on this story.
00:24:35.980 And it is a story
00:24:37.040 that just,
00:24:37.540 it really does get worse
00:24:38.660 every single day.
00:24:40.160 And you get to a point
00:24:41.100 and you think,
00:24:41.480 well,
00:24:41.540 it can't get worse than this.
00:24:42.740 This is as bad
00:24:43.300 as it could possibly get.
00:24:44.200 And then more revelations,
00:24:45.680 it gets even worse.
00:24:46.500 So it's worth
00:24:47.380 going to the Texas Tribune
00:24:48.220 to see.
00:24:49.180 They've been following
00:24:49.920 the story
00:24:50.380 and reporting on it.
00:24:52.380 But I'll read
00:24:52.940 a little bit from this.
00:24:53.720 This is the latest.
00:24:54.820 As of yesterday afternoon.
00:24:57.600 It says,
00:24:58.120 the officers in the hallway
00:24:59.040 of Rob Elementary
00:24:59.860 wanted to get inside
00:25:01.460 classrooms 111 and 112
00:25:02.820 immediately.
00:25:03.840 One officer's daughter
00:25:04.780 was inside.
00:25:05.400 Another officer
00:25:05.920 had gotten a call
00:25:06.560 from his wife,
00:25:07.140 a teacher,
00:25:07.580 who told him
00:25:07.860 she was bleeding to death.
00:25:09.820 Two closed doors
00:25:10.580 and a wall stood
00:25:11.180 between them
00:25:11.740 and an 18-year-old
00:25:12.520 with an AR-15
00:25:13.140 who had open fire
00:25:13.820 on children and teachers
00:25:14.540 inside the connected classrooms.
00:25:16.300 A halogen bar
00:25:17.160 was available.
00:25:18.240 That's an axe-like
00:25:19.020 forcible entry tool
00:25:20.100 used by firefighters
00:25:21.460 to get into rooms like this.
00:25:23.120 Ballistic shields
00:25:23.720 were arriving on the scene.
00:25:24.680 And so was plenty of firepower,
00:25:25.800 including at least two rifles.
00:25:26.940 Some officers were itching to move.
00:25:28.980 One such officer,
00:25:29.900 a special agent
00:25:30.360 at the Texas Department
00:25:31.720 of Public Safety,
00:25:32.880 had arrived around 20 minutes
00:25:34.140 after the school shooting started.
00:25:35.400 He immediately asked,
00:25:36.280 are there kids still
00:25:37.020 in the classroom?
00:25:38.440 The agent said,
00:25:39.200 if there is,
00:25:39.780 then we have to go in.
00:25:41.380 And another officer answered,
00:25:42.400 it's unknown at this time.
00:25:43.520 The agent shot back,
00:25:44.620 y'all don't know
00:25:45.040 if there's kids in there.
00:25:45.840 He added,
00:25:46.240 if there's kids in there,
00:25:47.080 we need to go in.
00:25:48.860 And then the reply came,
00:25:50.320 whoever is in charge
00:25:51.540 will determine that.
00:25:54.000 The inaction appeared
00:25:55.200 too much for the special agent.
00:25:56.540 He noted that there were still
00:25:57.360 children in other classrooms
00:25:58.360 within the school
00:25:58.960 who needed to evacuate.
00:26:00.380 Well, there's kids over here,
00:26:01.580 he said,
00:26:02.000 so I'm getting kids out.
00:26:02.960 And he went to get the kids out.
00:26:04.740 This exchange happened early
00:26:06.420 in the excruciating 77 minutes
00:26:08.160 on May 24th
00:26:09.220 that started when
00:26:09.920 Salvador Ramos
00:26:10.780 walked through an unlocked door
00:26:12.820 of Rob Elementary
00:26:13.480 and walked into the classroom
00:26:16.480 and began shooting.
00:26:18.280 And we're told now
00:26:19.240 that there were,
00:26:19.880 that there were basically
00:26:21.200 four bursts of shooting
00:26:23.680 from the shooter.
00:26:26.440 And that this continued
00:26:28.020 throughout the 77 minutes
00:26:29.460 while these officers
00:26:30.420 were outside the room.
00:26:34.200 Now,
00:26:34.860 the San Antonio Express News
00:26:36.100 reported that there is
00:26:36.920 no evidence
00:26:37.640 that officers tried the doors
00:26:39.080 on rooms 111 and 112.
00:26:40.520 They didn't even try
00:26:41.440 to open it.
00:26:42.840 This contradicts
00:26:43.520 a key assertion
00:26:44.240 by the Evaldi School
00:26:45.000 Police Chief Pete Arredondo
00:26:46.700 who told the Texas Tribune
00:26:48.340 that officers tried the doors,
00:26:49.760 found them locked,
00:26:50.580 and had to wait
00:26:51.120 for a master key
00:26:52.000 to unlock them.
00:26:53.860 So this Arredondo guy
00:26:55.460 has lied,
00:26:56.760 I mean,
00:26:57.100 has been doing nothing
00:26:57.960 but lying
00:26:58.460 from the very beginning.
00:27:00.720 And he claimed
00:27:01.360 they couldn't get into the door,
00:27:02.260 they didn't have a key.
00:27:02.800 Turns out,
00:27:03.520 the door was unlocked,
00:27:05.020 they didn't even try
00:27:06.120 to open it,
00:27:07.360 and they also had a tool
00:27:08.520 in case it was,
00:27:09.820 did turn out to be locked,
00:27:10.900 they had a tool
00:27:11.240 to open it anyway.
00:27:12.840 Here's this detail.
00:27:15.800 It says,
00:27:16.120 another officer
00:27:16.640 who entered the hallway
00:27:17.300 was Ruben Ruiz
00:27:18.420 of the Uvalde School
00:27:19.540 District Police Force.
00:27:20.620 His wife,
00:27:21.600 teacher,
00:27:22.220 Ava Morales,
00:27:23.480 had called him
00:27:23.980 on his cell phone
00:27:24.560 and told him
00:27:24.920 she was bleeding heavily.
00:27:26.700 She says she is shot,
00:27:28.160 he told the officers
00:27:28.780 on the scene.
00:27:30.060 The video from inside
00:27:31.060 the hallway
00:27:31.420 doesn't capture
00:27:32.000 what Ruiz did
00:27:32.800 inside the school,
00:27:33.680 but a DPS official
00:27:34.440 told the Tribune
00:27:35.760 that Ruiz
00:27:36.180 was soon escorted away
00:27:37.400 by other officers
00:27:38.580 on the scene.
00:27:39.180 Okay,
00:27:40.800 so,
00:27:42.140 just to summarize here,
00:27:44.100 and like I said,
00:27:44.720 there's plenty more
00:27:45.240 revelations,
00:27:45.740 you can go read
00:27:46.100 the whole article.
00:27:49.640 They're sitting
00:27:50.520 outside the classroom
00:27:51.140 for 77 minutes.
00:27:52.480 They have ballistic shields,
00:27:53.740 they have heavy firepower,
00:27:58.140 they didn't even try
00:27:59.340 to open the door,
00:28:00.560 which it looks
00:28:01.580 as though now
00:28:02.740 it was unlocked
00:28:03.480 the entire time.
00:28:04.320 They could have just
00:28:04.780 opened it
00:28:05.400 and went right in.
00:28:05.960 And this scumbag
00:28:09.760 is executing children
00:28:11.140 this entire time.
00:28:13.040 Meanwhile,
00:28:13.800 one of the officers,
00:28:15.500 his own wife,
00:28:16.280 is bleeding to death
00:28:17.280 inside the classroom.
00:28:20.380 And we hear from
00:28:22.480 other sources
00:28:23.140 that were there
00:28:23.840 that he said
00:28:25.580 he wanted to go in,
00:28:26.480 they told him
00:28:26.940 to stand down.
00:28:28.200 He refused
00:28:29.340 and tried to rush in
00:28:30.540 to save his wife
00:28:31.240 as any husband would,
00:28:32.660 and they stopped him,
00:28:34.400 detained him,
00:28:35.180 took his gun away
00:28:36.680 and brought him
00:28:38.520 out of the school.
00:28:41.540 Repeating a scene
00:28:42.440 that was very similar
00:28:43.200 to what was going on
00:28:43.980 outside the school
00:28:44.720 where there were parents
00:28:45.580 trying to rush in
00:28:46.660 to save their kids
00:28:49.140 and they were being detained.
00:28:50.820 I mean,
00:28:50.980 according to reports,
00:28:51.620 at least one person
00:28:52.220 was tased.
00:28:54.500 So these cowards
00:28:55.880 are sitting there
00:28:56.540 and doing absolutely
00:28:57.260 nothing at all.
00:28:58.620 And the people
00:28:59.360 who want to do something
00:29:00.560 to save their loved ones
00:29:02.260 are being physically
00:29:03.140 prevented from doing so.
00:29:04.300 So the physical force
00:29:06.080 is being used
00:29:06.860 against the husbands
00:29:08.440 and parents
00:29:09.160 who are trying to save
00:29:10.200 their wives and children
00:29:11.640 from certain death.
00:29:15.920 And keep something else
00:29:16.960 in mind too
00:29:17.560 because
00:29:17.920 there's this question about,
00:29:21.340 and I think there's still
00:29:22.020 a question,
00:29:22.420 we still don't know for sure.
00:29:24.460 During that 77 minutes
00:29:25.820 while the cowards
00:29:26.540 were just sitting outside
00:29:27.680 in fear,
00:29:28.740 afraid to move,
00:29:30.140 we still don't know
00:29:30.780 for sure how many kids
00:29:32.040 were shot during that time.
00:29:33.380 Most of the shooting
00:29:34.440 happened in the three minutes
00:29:35.940 before cops arrived
00:29:37.060 on the scene.
00:29:38.160 But we do know
00:29:39.080 that he continued to fire,
00:29:40.160 so there were kids
00:29:40.840 being killed,
00:29:41.380 there were victims
00:29:41.840 being claimed
00:29:42.560 that entire time.
00:29:44.460 There were also people
00:29:45.560 that were shot
00:29:46.340 in the first three minutes
00:29:47.580 and were bleeding to death
00:29:48.640 like this officer's wife.
00:29:52.000 But then there's
00:29:52.620 something else too
00:29:53.200 that along with the physical,
00:30:00.160 trying to save
00:30:00.960 these kids physically.
00:30:03.680 Just the idea
00:30:04.440 of leaving kids
00:30:05.560 in that classroom,
00:30:08.600 in that situation
00:30:10.100 for over an hour,
00:30:13.080 I mean,
00:30:13.400 the unimaginable
00:30:14.540 psychological
00:30:15.320 and emotional toll
00:30:16.520 that that must take
00:30:17.260 on these kids.
00:30:18.200 They have to live with it
00:30:18.960 for the rest of their lives.
00:30:21.220 Can you imagine
00:30:21.820 what that was?
00:30:22.520 I mean,
00:30:22.880 you can't,
00:30:23.320 nobody can.
00:30:25.140 To be an eight-year-old kid
00:30:26.960 hiding under a desk
00:30:29.220 inside this classroom
00:30:31.400 for over an hour
00:30:32.620 while your friends
00:30:34.220 are bleeding to death
00:30:35.120 all around you
00:30:35.860 and there's this crazed gunman
00:30:37.740 just walking around
00:30:38.760 taunting you,
00:30:39.400 that's,
00:30:41.140 I don't think you
00:30:41.860 ever fully recover.
00:30:42.880 There's no way
00:30:43.200 to fully recover
00:30:43.760 from the psychological
00:30:44.560 trauma there.
00:30:46.940 And my point is
00:30:47.860 that that would be
00:30:48.920 reason enough.
00:30:50.460 Aside from actually
00:30:51.320 saving the lives
00:30:52.500 of the kids
00:30:53.060 who had not yet
00:30:53.600 been murdered,
00:30:54.660 just saving them
00:30:57.040 from the psychological
00:30:57.780 and emotional trauma
00:30:58.560 is reason enough
00:30:59.380 to go in there
00:30:59.840 and risk your own life
00:31:00.560 in the process.
00:31:03.280 So this is,
00:31:04.060 this is obviously cowardice,
00:31:05.520 but of a particular kind.
00:31:07.220 Yes,
00:31:07.640 they feared for their safety,
00:31:09.200 you know,
00:31:09.360 so it's physical cowardice,
00:31:10.820 but it's also moral cowardice
00:31:12.940 because that's the one thing
00:31:14.160 that comes,
00:31:14.660 comes out
00:31:15.080 from all the reports
00:31:16.580 we're reading now
00:31:17.300 as there are more
00:31:19.120 and more revelations
00:31:19.880 every single day
00:31:20.620 is that everybody
00:31:21.900 was waiting around
00:31:22.920 for the order.
00:31:24.660 All right,
00:31:25.180 we just heard
00:31:25.700 how the one,
00:31:26.480 you know,
00:31:27.340 law enforcement officer
00:31:28.100 shows up,
00:31:28.620 he says,
00:31:28.860 why aren't we going in?
00:31:29.660 Oh,
00:31:29.820 we're waiting for the order.
00:31:30.680 We're waiting.
00:31:32.120 Waiting to be given an order.
00:31:34.340 And then the police chief,
00:31:35.660 that soft,
00:31:36.780 puffy,
00:31:37.240 pudgy,
00:31:37.560 little,
00:31:37.940 worthless coward,
00:31:38.720 Arradondo,
00:31:39.700 he was there
00:31:40.480 and he was waiting around
00:31:41.300 for whatever he was waiting for,
00:31:42.340 a sign from heaven,
00:31:42.980 I don't know.
00:31:44.520 And so everyone's just waiting
00:31:45.680 because nobody wants
00:31:47.400 to make the call.
00:31:49.420 That's what this is.
00:31:50.320 It's a physical cowardice
00:31:51.780 of they didn't want
00:31:52.340 to put their own lives
00:31:53.860 on the line,
00:31:54.420 obviously,
00:31:54.800 even though that's the job
00:31:55.700 they signed up for.
00:31:57.840 But there's also
00:31:58.580 the moral cowardice
00:31:59.720 of not wanting
00:32:00.780 to make the call,
00:32:01.920 not wanting to be the one
00:32:02.980 to say it's time to go in.
00:32:05.720 Okay,
00:32:05.900 you want to hide behind
00:32:06.940 the order.
00:32:07.780 Someone gives you the order
00:32:08.460 because finally
00:32:09.480 when the order was given
00:32:10.660 and it was clear,
00:32:12.140 like,
00:32:12.340 finally they did go in
00:32:13.640 after it was far too late
00:32:15.240 for a lot of those kids.
00:32:16.100 But that's,
00:32:19.780 I think,
00:32:20.380 much of the cowardice
00:32:21.420 that was going on that day.
00:32:24.500 Hiding behind the order.
00:32:25.480 You want to get the order
00:32:26.280 for someone
00:32:26.860 so that if it goes wrong,
00:32:28.380 you can blame them.
00:32:31.300 And that to me is even,
00:32:32.440 that's even sicker
00:32:33.660 than the physical cowardice
00:32:36.100 part of it.
00:32:36.980 As sick
00:32:37.580 and revolting
00:32:38.740 and pathetic
00:32:39.480 as that is.
00:32:40.140 the fact that
00:32:42.680 all those men,
00:32:45.100 so-called alleged men,
00:32:46.400 were outside that classroom
00:32:47.720 worried for their physical safety
00:32:50.620 but also thinking to themselves,
00:32:52.220 well,
00:32:52.700 if this goes wrong,
00:32:53.920 I need to be able
00:32:54.520 to blame somebody.
00:32:55.480 I don't want to go in myself.
00:32:57.880 You know,
00:32:58.120 we need a higher up
00:32:58.820 to order it
00:32:59.620 so that then we can blame them
00:33:02.440 if it doesn't go well.
00:33:04.860 That's part of the calculation
00:33:05.900 as they're sitting outside
00:33:06.560 the classroom
00:33:07.020 and kids are dying
00:33:08.220 is,
00:33:09.880 how do I protect my,
00:33:11.240 how do I protect my own ass?
00:33:12.560 Physically and also
00:33:13.340 just career advancement
00:33:14.360 and everything else.
00:33:17.300 All right,
00:33:17.880 this is from the Daily Wire.
00:33:19.260 It says,
00:33:19.480 on Tuesday,
00:33:20.040 the Supreme Court
00:33:20.620 of the United States
00:33:21.440 ruled that the government
00:33:22.320 cannot ban
00:33:23.380 taxpayer-funded
00:33:24.280 tuition assistance
00:33:25.040 for private education
00:33:25.980 from being used
00:33:26.800 by citizens
00:33:27.820 for private religious education.
00:33:29.660 In the case,
00:33:30.480 Carson versus Macon,
00:33:32.800 SCOTUS ruled
00:33:33.420 six to three
00:33:34.020 along ideological lines
00:33:35.120 at the state of Maine's
00:33:36.080 tuition assistance program
00:33:37.000 which barred guardians
00:33:37.900 from using the funds
00:33:38.720 for religious,
00:33:39.180 for private religious education
00:33:40.480 was unconstitutional
00:33:42.220 as it violated
00:33:43.060 the First Amendment.
00:33:44.360 Supreme Court Chief Justice
00:33:45.520 John Roberts opined,
00:33:47.420 quote,
00:33:48.280 Maine's non-sectarian requirement
00:33:50.060 for its otherwise
00:33:50.680 generally available
00:33:51.640 tuition assistance payments
00:33:52.880 violates the free exercise clause
00:33:54.940 of the First Amendment.
00:33:55.700 In short,
00:33:56.120 the prohibition
00:33:56.640 on status-based discrimination
00:33:58.180 under the free exercise clause
00:33:59.520 is not a permission
00:34:00.600 to engage
00:34:01.260 in use-based discrimination.
00:34:03.680 This is the right decision,
00:34:05.280 of course,
00:34:05.880 and the objections
00:34:07.000 are absurd.
00:34:08.540 Sotomayor said
00:34:09.340 that this erodes
00:34:10.520 the separation
00:34:11.400 of church and state
00:34:12.400 which it doesn't really
00:34:14.440 but also
00:34:15.440 the separation
00:34:16.020 of church and state
00:34:16.740 was never meant
00:34:17.640 to be a legal principle
00:34:18.960 the way that we see it now
00:34:20.180 today.
00:34:21.040 That was something
00:34:21.940 that Thomas Jefferson
00:34:22.720 wrote in a letter
00:34:23.640 to the Danbury Baptist
00:34:24.640 because he was worried
00:34:25.520 about the state's influence
00:34:26.700 on the church
00:34:27.400 not the other way around.
00:34:29.920 And he also
00:34:30.680 didn't write it
00:34:31.580 because it was not
00:34:33.060 written into the Constitution.
00:34:36.940 And besides,
00:34:38.240 the other thing
00:34:39.360 is that public schools
00:34:40.100 are already
00:34:40.920 effectively religious institutions.
00:34:43.420 They are already
00:34:44.460 institutions
00:34:45.020 that teach
00:34:45.720 and preach
00:34:46.920 and indoctrinate kids
00:34:48.260 into the religion
00:34:49.960 of leftism
00:34:50.560 as we've talked about.
00:34:52.400 Now the left
00:34:53.300 in criticizing this
00:34:54.220 they've once again
00:34:54.900 revealed
00:34:55.380 that they don't
00:34:56.400 understand
00:34:57.080 their opposition
00:34:58.160 and also
00:34:59.960 that they
00:35:01.100 see everything
00:35:02.400 in terms of racial
00:35:03.460 and ethnic identity.
00:35:04.480 That's just how
00:35:04.920 they see everything.
00:35:05.820 That's the lens
00:35:06.440 through which
00:35:06.840 they view everything.
00:35:08.000 So they expect us
00:35:09.200 to view things
00:35:10.200 the same way
00:35:10.860 when we don't
00:35:11.500 in fact.
00:35:13.340 Like that's not
00:35:13.940 when we encounter
00:35:15.000 an issue
00:35:15.440 we don't immediately
00:35:16.500 start breaking it down
00:35:17.660 along racial lines
00:35:18.780 and start thinking about
00:35:19.660 well how's it going
00:35:20.240 to affect this group
00:35:20.940 and that group
00:35:21.440 and everything.
00:35:22.060 We don't do that.
00:35:23.680 But they do.
00:35:24.700 So there's been
00:35:25.900 a lot of this kind of thing
00:35:27.080 like this from Wajahat Ali
00:35:28.800 of the Daily Beast.
00:35:29.920 He tweeted
00:35:30.340 private Islamic schools
00:35:32.340 and Jewish schools
00:35:33.040 should open up
00:35:33.780 all over Maine.
00:35:35.000 The state has to fund you now
00:35:36.480 so take advantage of it.
00:35:38.100 Move your communities
00:35:38.880 there as well.
00:35:39.640 Let's see what
00:35:40.100 the Supreme Court says.
00:35:42.780 And I guess he
00:35:43.880 I guess he thinks
00:35:45.160 that conservatives
00:35:46.340 are going to say
00:35:46.820 oh no we didn't mean that.
00:35:48.580 No we don't want
00:35:49.200 any Islamic schools
00:35:50.280 or Jewish schools.
00:35:52.220 And of course
00:35:52.560 everybody on the right
00:35:53.340 is saying okay great.
00:35:55.900 Sounds good.
00:35:57.080 Yeah absolutely.
00:35:59.040 Absolutely.
00:35:59.820 That's fantastic.
00:36:00.860 Open up Islamic schools.
00:36:01.820 Open up Jewish schools.
00:36:03.200 Open up all kinds
00:36:03.900 of private education
00:36:05.540 facilities.
00:36:08.720 That sounds great.
00:36:10.000 And if you're
00:36:10.420 a Muslim parent
00:36:12.180 and you say
00:36:13.720 you want to send
00:36:14.240 your kids to
00:36:14.880 an Islamic school
00:36:15.660 I think that's
00:36:16.520 a fantastic idea.
00:36:17.680 I think it's better
00:36:18.080 to send them
00:36:18.380 to public school.
00:36:20.400 And that of course
00:36:21.140 is what all
00:36:21.680 that's how all conservatives
00:36:22.800 are reacting to this tweet.
00:36:24.360 Saying yeah okay
00:36:24.820 sounds good.
00:36:25.240 This is just the left
00:36:28.740 revealing its own bigotries.
00:36:30.980 This is like
00:36:31.620 when the lady
00:36:32.080 on The View
00:36:32.460 who I think
00:36:32.820 was Joy Behar
00:36:33.600 said about gun control
00:36:35.780 said well wait
00:36:36.320 until black people
00:36:37.120 get guns
00:36:37.720 then conservatives
00:36:38.880 will oppose it.
00:36:41.200 And of course
00:36:41.540 our response is
00:36:42.140 number one
00:36:42.480 they have guns
00:36:43.140 and number two
00:36:43.640 that's great.
00:36:44.920 The more the merrier.
00:36:46.260 We want more people
00:36:47.080 to exercise their
00:36:47.760 second amendment rights.
00:36:48.900 Fantastic.
00:36:50.140 We had no problem
00:36:50.860 with that.
00:36:51.280 Ali followed this up
00:36:54.620 with this tweet.
00:36:55.340 He says
00:36:55.660 do main taxpayers
00:36:58.160 have to fund
00:36:59.220 a Church of Satan
00:37:00.340 school?
00:37:01.340 I mean based
00:37:01.980 on the Supreme Court
00:37:02.640 ruling the answer
00:37:03.340 would have to be
00:37:04.060 yes right.
00:37:06.880 Well as far as
00:37:07.800 that goes
00:37:08.320 main taxpayers
00:37:10.720 already do
00:37:11.640 fund
00:37:12.300 Church of Satan
00:37:13.620 schools.
00:37:14.020 That's called
00:37:14.280 the public school
00:37:14.920 system.
00:37:16.340 So that's already
00:37:17.260 happening.
00:37:19.000 We already have
00:37:19.860 there are thousands
00:37:21.460 of schools
00:37:23.420 in this country
00:37:24.060 that are effectively
00:37:25.040 run by the Church
00:37:25.960 of Satan
00:37:26.340 and it's called
00:37:27.360 the public school
00:37:28.300 system.
00:37:28.600 So that's already
00:37:28.980 happening.
00:37:29.380 We're aware of that.
00:37:31.920 And having
00:37:32.900 more schools
00:37:33.960 that are run
00:37:34.700 according to the
00:37:35.320 doctrines of other
00:37:36.180 religions rather than
00:37:37.060 Satanism to me
00:37:38.320 sounds like a great
00:37:39.060 idea.
00:37:39.800 I think we're all
00:37:40.280 on board with that.
00:37:41.280 Okay I want to move
00:37:41.920 to this and first
00:37:43.200 I want to read you
00:37:43.660 a little bit of a
00:37:44.140 story from April
00:37:44.940 of this year and
00:37:45.640 then we'll get to
00:37:46.100 the update.
00:37:46.620 This is from the
00:37:47.360 Washington Examiner
00:37:48.600 in April of this
00:37:49.580 year.
00:37:49.800 It says a
00:37:50.140 fundraiser for
00:37:50.780 Connecticut child
00:37:51.480 recovering from
00:37:52.100 second and third
00:37:52.640 degree burns has
00:37:54.040 raised over $230,000
00:37:55.560 as of Wednesday
00:37:56.520 night.
00:37:57.020 The money will be
00:37:57.820 used to help the
00:37:58.540 family of six-year-old
00:37:59.700 Dominique Crankle
00:38:00.860 find a new place
00:38:04.520 to live.
00:38:05.320 Crankle was a
00:38:06.120 hospitalized Sunday
00:38:06.880 after another child
00:38:08.000 covered a ball in
00:38:08.880 gasoline, set it on
00:38:09.980 fire and threw it
00:38:10.780 at him.
00:38:11.280 According to the
00:38:11.780 family's GoFundMe
00:38:12.660 page, Kayla Deegan
00:38:14.300 who's Crankle's
00:38:15.000 sister said quote
00:38:16.180 this kid downstairs
00:38:18.180 has gotten away
00:38:18.920 with too much and
00:38:19.700 has a history of
00:38:20.340 bullying.
00:38:21.380 The mother thinks
00:38:22.000 he's innocent.
00:38:22.580 The family thinks
00:38:23.100 it's a joke even
00:38:23.860 though Dominique
00:38:24.400 can't talk because
00:38:25.220 he's in a lot of
00:38:25.820 pain and all swollen.
00:38:27.340 He said to my mom,
00:38:28.200 please don't take me
00:38:28.960 back there.
00:38:31.080 Crankle is able to
00:38:31.960 eat a few bites of
00:38:32.820 food past his
00:38:33.420 extremely swollen
00:38:34.100 lips but he is
00:38:36.020 expected to recover.
00:38:37.120 Okay, so the story
00:38:37.840 was that this child
00:38:39.380 was attacked by two
00:38:40.420 bullies who they all
00:38:41.720 live in the same
00:38:42.140 apartment complex I
00:38:43.060 think and they were
00:38:43.600 outside.
00:38:43.980 The child was
00:38:45.340 attacked by these
00:38:46.300 bullies who lit a
00:38:47.340 ball on fire,
00:38:48.280 tennis ball, and
00:38:49.280 threw it at him
00:38:50.000 maliciously.
00:38:51.280 And this is the
00:38:51.760 story the family
00:38:52.400 told and it's the
00:38:53.280 story the mother
00:38:54.020 of the victim told
00:38:55.620 and they raised
00:38:58.020 lots of money off
00:38:59.160 the story to buy
00:39:00.600 a house.
00:39:02.320 But then this from
00:39:03.000 the Daily Wire,
00:39:03.460 this is yesterday,
00:39:05.000 says in April the
00:39:05.740 family of a six-year-old
00:39:06.820 Dominique Crankle
00:39:08.200 accused other
00:39:09.060 neighborhood children
00:39:09.640 of a bullying attack
00:39:10.560 after Crankle
00:39:11.100 suffered second and
00:39:11.760 third degree burns
00:39:12.420 but newly released
00:39:13.340 surveillance footage
00:39:14.080 cast doubt on the
00:39:15.400 family's allegation.
00:39:16.920 Dominique Crankle
00:39:17.460 was reportedly
00:39:17.980 playing in the
00:39:18.560 backyard at his
00:39:19.160 family's home in
00:39:19.740 Bridgeport, Connecticut
00:39:20.400 with neighborhood
00:39:21.240 children when the
00:39:21.820 incident occurred.
00:39:23.180 The children who
00:39:23.720 were unattended
00:39:24.320 were reportedly
00:39:24.880 lighting things on
00:39:25.700 fire with gasoline
00:39:26.660 and Crankle's
00:39:27.680 mother and sister
00:39:28.320 claimed the six-year-old
00:39:29.120 was set on fire
00:39:29.800 by bullies who
00:39:30.500 threw a tennis ball
00:39:31.120 at him.
00:39:31.360 However, those
00:39:31.740 claims have come
00:39:32.280 into question after
00:39:32.940 police said there
00:39:33.500 was no wrongdoing
00:39:34.380 and footage of the
00:39:35.620 incident was released
00:39:36.340 to the public and
00:39:37.220 I saw the footage
00:39:38.420 being circulated on
00:39:39.620 social media.
00:39:41.140 The Daily Mail reports
00:39:41.940 newly released video
00:39:42.760 appears to disprove a
00:39:43.860 Connecticut mother's
00:39:44.480 claim that her son
00:39:44.980 was targeted by
00:39:45.580 bullies instead
00:39:46.120 showing a seeming
00:39:46.980 accident as kids
00:39:47.860 play dangerously with
00:39:49.060 fire.
00:39:49.560 So, you know, you
00:39:51.220 can see in the video
00:39:52.100 clearly that they're
00:39:53.800 just the kids, they
00:39:54.840 they have, these are
00:39:56.800 kids ranging in age
00:39:58.060 from six to eight
00:39:58.920 and they somehow got
00:40:00.980 their hands on gasoline
00:40:02.060 and a lighter and
00:40:03.760 they're just playing
00:40:05.180 with it and messing
00:40:05.840 around and then one
00:40:07.360 of the kids gets set
00:40:08.360 on fire.
00:40:08.740 And then one of the
00:40:09.880 other kids, you can
00:40:10.360 see in the video, one
00:40:11.180 of the other kids that
00:40:11.800 was slandered as a
00:40:13.440 bully by the other
00:40:15.600 child's mother, he
00:40:17.060 actually tries to, he
00:40:18.120 uses his own bare hands
00:40:19.580 to try to put the fire
00:40:20.560 out and we can assume
00:40:21.420 it's burned himself in
00:40:22.660 the process, tries to
00:40:23.660 help the boy by putting
00:40:25.600 the fire out and
00:40:27.380 probably saves him from
00:40:28.920 suffering much worse
00:40:29.960 damage.
00:40:31.660 Now, I actually saw
00:40:32.380 this story when it
00:40:32.920 first happened and I
00:40:34.400 didn't talk about it on
00:40:35.240 my show because I
00:40:36.160 didn't believe it.
00:40:36.960 And the reason I
00:40:38.360 didn't believe it, the
00:40:39.980 version where the
00:40:40.600 bully was, you know,
00:40:41.840 the kid was attacked
00:40:42.480 by bullies who lit a
00:40:43.620 ball on fire and
00:40:44.340 threw it at him, the
00:40:45.500 reason I didn't believe
00:40:46.020 that is, for one
00:40:47.120 thing, they're raising
00:40:48.740 money for a new house
00:40:50.500 off of the story.
00:40:51.860 And I wish people would
00:40:52.940 just get this through
00:40:53.820 their heads, okay?
00:40:55.500 And I really, I'm
00:40:56.860 beseeching you for your
00:40:57.800 own sake, nobody can
00:40:59.840 afford in this economy
00:41:00.880 to be wasting money on
00:41:02.600 scam GoFundMes, okay?
00:41:04.960 And every GoFundMe
00:41:07.520 you see, you should be
00:41:08.540 skeptical of.
00:41:09.320 Doesn't mean never
00:41:09.900 donate to any of them,
00:41:10.760 but be skeptical of
00:41:11.780 them because unless you
00:41:12.920 know the person
00:41:13.600 personally, there should
00:41:14.980 be immediate skepticism.
00:41:16.860 Unless you know the
00:41:17.740 person or it's a GoFundMe
00:41:19.760 for AOC's abuela, those
00:41:21.000 are the two scenarios
00:41:21.700 where you can give
00:41:22.340 without worrying about
00:41:23.120 it.
00:41:23.540 Outside of that, be
00:41:24.680 skeptical.
00:41:26.020 And if there was some
00:41:27.200 sort of incident that
00:41:28.500 happened and the
00:41:30.060 victim or the family of
00:41:32.160 the victim, the first
00:41:33.360 thing they do is set up
00:41:34.420 a GoFundMe.
00:41:36.620 And they're going to
00:41:37.220 use the money in a way
00:41:38.240 that doesn't even have
00:41:38.820 anything really to do
00:41:39.740 with the incident.
00:41:40.440 Now, it's one thing if
00:41:40.960 they said we're going to
00:41:41.380 raise the money because
00:41:42.100 he has terrible burns and
00:41:43.020 we need to get in
00:41:43.380 plastic surgery to take
00:41:45.520 care of the burn, the
00:41:46.300 scars.
00:41:46.980 They don't even say,
00:41:47.460 they said we want the
00:41:48.420 money to go buy a new
00:41:49.560 house.
00:41:51.320 And people are giving
00:41:52.280 to that GoFundMe?
00:41:53.020 Like, you didn't see?
00:41:53.840 Talk about red flags,
00:41:54.660 you didn't see them there?
00:41:57.040 And also, right, Occam's
00:42:00.100 razor here.
00:42:00.740 Like, go with the
00:42:01.460 simpler explanation.
00:42:02.240 And when you see a
00:42:04.020 story like this, there's
00:42:04.740 a much simpler and more
00:42:05.940 believable explanation for
00:42:07.120 how a six-year-old boy got
00:42:08.260 burned by fire and
00:42:09.220 gasoline.
00:42:11.060 And that is that they
00:42:12.020 were messing around with
00:42:12.780 fire and then he got
00:42:13.620 burned in the process.
00:42:15.460 That's a believable and
00:42:17.320 simple explanation.
00:42:18.080 Because, because here's the
00:42:20.800 thing, if you are leaving
00:42:24.300 young boys age six to eight
00:42:26.600 unattended with gasoline and
00:42:29.760 a lighter, somebody is
00:42:31.660 getting set on fire.
00:42:32.640 That's a 100%, it's not even
00:42:35.280 a possibility, it's a 100%
00:42:36.440 certainty that's going to
00:42:37.320 happen.
00:42:39.460 So it's pretty obvious this
00:42:40.640 mother was not paying
00:42:42.520 attention to her own son and
00:42:44.340 that's how they somehow got
00:42:45.160 their hands on gasoline and a
00:42:46.460 lighter and now she's trying to
00:42:47.700 shift the blame and in the
00:42:49.120 process, you know, like
00:42:50.080 defaming these poor kids and
00:42:52.560 this other family who are not
00:42:54.240 the villains in this.
00:42:54.880 This is just a terrible
00:42:55.440 accident.
00:42:57.000 Okay, one other thing, before
00:42:58.240 we get to the comments
00:42:59.040 section, I wanted to read
00:42:59.960 this from Mashable.
00:43:01.060 It says,
00:43:01.220 earlier this week, a Twitter user
00:43:02.660 shared pictures of what she
00:43:04.640 thought looked like cameras
00:43:05.780 disguised as fire sprinklers
00:43:07.320 scattered throughout her
00:43:08.620 Airbnb in Philadelphia.
00:43:10.180 This prompted other users to
00:43:11.500 begin sharing their Airbnb
00:43:12.760 horror stories on Twitter.
00:43:15.700 While an investigation conducted
00:43:16.800 by the Philadelphia police
00:43:17.840 concluded that there were no
00:43:19.500 hidden cameras in the Airbnb,
00:43:21.160 the social media damage had
00:43:22.340 already been done.
00:43:23.580 And so that's why on Twitter
00:43:24.960 there was a trending for a while,
00:43:26.320 Airbnb people were sharing their
00:43:27.780 horror stories of being in
00:43:29.040 Airbnbs.
00:43:31.300 And some of the tweets,
00:43:32.460 someone says, LOL, Airbnb
00:43:33.920 hosts are like, I need you to
00:43:35.260 take your shoes off in the
00:43:36.240 house, take the garbage out,
00:43:37.480 turn the music down.
00:43:38.500 And if you want to live under
00:43:39.160 this roof, you got to follow
00:43:39.940 my rules.
00:43:40.420 It's like you're living at your
00:43:41.500 parents' house at 19 as a
00:43:42.920 service.
00:43:43.880 Someone else says, we just
00:43:44.580 abandoned an Airbnb in New
00:43:46.460 York City, claimed to have AC
00:43:48.280 and a double bed, also had
00:43:49.880 lovely stains on the sheets and
00:43:51.340 couch.
00:43:52.560 And there was apparently a turd
00:43:55.260 that was, I don't know if this
00:43:56.200 was this Amber Heard's house
00:43:58.060 that he was staying at?
00:43:59.800 But there was fecal matter in
00:44:01.060 the house, apparently.
00:44:02.300 A lot of other horror stories
00:44:04.240 like this.
00:44:04.640 I'm just reading this to get to
00:44:05.960 the point that I want to make,
00:44:07.840 which is, why are you all
00:44:09.980 staying at Airbnbs?
00:44:11.820 There are limited circumstances
00:44:13.280 where I can understand it.
00:44:14.220 Like if you're going away on
00:44:15.120 vacation, you want to find a
00:44:16.340 home, like a lakefront home or
00:44:17.780 something, and maybe you use
00:44:19.980 Airbnb for that.
00:44:21.180 If you need a long-term rental,
00:44:22.660 you're staying somewhere for
00:44:23.380 three months, maybe use Airbnb
00:44:24.780 for that.
00:44:25.300 But people use Airbnb when
00:44:26.880 they're just visiting town for a
00:44:28.200 few days.
00:44:28.760 They use it when they're
00:44:29.600 traveling.
00:44:30.660 And that's what I don't get.
00:44:32.340 You want to go stay in
00:44:33.340 somebody's house?
00:44:34.440 You want to stay in someone
00:44:35.640 else's house and pay for it.
00:44:38.300 Staying in other people's
00:44:38.980 houses, that's the worst thing.
00:44:40.900 I don't like staying in my own
00:44:42.140 families.
00:44:42.800 If I'm visiting family, I
00:44:44.260 prefer to stay in a hotel than
00:44:45.360 stay in their house.
00:44:46.220 Because it's uncomfortable, it's
00:44:47.420 awkward, you know, nothing is
00:44:48.740 set up the way that you would
00:44:49.740 set it up.
00:44:50.920 You're in someone else's house,
00:44:51.960 it's their rules, it's their
00:44:53.260 everything.
00:44:54.500 They never have their kitchen
00:44:55.420 set up the right way.
00:44:56.360 Every time I'm in somebody
00:44:56.960 else's kitchen, I'm just
00:44:57.780 thinking to myself, why would
00:44:59.160 you put the forks and knives
00:45:00.100 here?
00:45:00.480 Why would you put the cups
00:45:01.480 there, not over there?
00:45:02.140 It doesn't make any sense the
00:45:02.900 way things are laid out.
00:45:04.620 Makes no sense to me, especially
00:45:06.960 when you consider there's a
00:45:07.940 whole industry that had
00:45:09.980 previously been set up for the
00:45:11.540 purposes of providing
00:45:12.540 accommodations to travelers.
00:45:14.400 It's called the hotel
00:45:15.280 industry.
00:45:16.620 And hotels are great.
00:45:18.300 I love hotels.
00:45:19.360 I'm a hotel enthusiast.
00:45:21.220 Some hotels aren't good, but
00:45:22.260 you know if they're not going
00:45:22.900 to be good based on the
00:45:23.780 brand, based on the price, so
00:45:25.500 you know what you're getting
00:45:26.100 into ahead of time.
00:45:27.360 And the hotels are
00:45:28.340 specifically designed for the
00:45:29.820 purpose of staying in for a
00:45:31.160 few days when you're on the
00:45:31.980 road.
00:45:32.620 You know everything's going to
00:45:33.460 be.
00:45:34.280 If you can't find it, you can
00:45:35.200 call down.
00:45:36.400 And there's a whole staff
00:45:37.540 that's there, and their whole
00:45:38.620 job is to just wait on you,
00:45:39.900 hand and foot.
00:45:41.340 There's a bar.
00:45:42.860 Someone will come and make
00:45:45.060 your bed every morning if you
00:45:46.600 want.
00:45:46.880 They'll bring fresh towels.
00:45:48.560 It's fantastic.
00:45:50.540 The only reason to stay in
00:45:52.220 Airbnb is that it's cheaper,
00:45:53.300 but it's actually not cheaper
00:45:54.120 anymore.
00:45:54.680 A lot of times it's more
00:45:55.360 expensive.
00:45:57.720 So stay in a hotel.
00:45:59.120 This message brought to you by
00:46:00.300 the hotel industry.
00:46:01.580 Actually, I'm doing it for free
00:46:02.440 because that's how generous I
00:46:03.600 am.
00:46:03.740 Well, the Sweet Baby Gang has
00:46:05.660 proven yet again that it's
00:46:06.920 financial loyalty knows no
00:46:08.780 bounds.
00:46:09.160 The Virtue Signal patch, which
00:46:10.400 was released on Monday, sold
00:46:11.860 out yesterday.
00:46:12.540 In fact, I invented it in my
00:46:15.700 head live on the air, just
00:46:17.500 riffing last week.
00:46:20.380 And then we put it on, and
00:46:21.220 then we actually made it, and
00:46:22.300 then it sold out right away.
00:46:23.440 So these things move fast on the
00:46:24.820 Matt Wall Show.
00:46:25.600 In fact, it almost sold out as
00:46:26.500 fast as the people who actually
00:46:27.420 engage in virtue signaling.
00:46:28.640 Almost.
00:46:29.680 I think we could do better,
00:46:30.480 though, because many of you may
00:46:31.740 not have had the chance to
00:46:32.820 secure your patch, and because
00:46:33.920 I am wildly generous, we are
00:46:35.260 going to be restocking the
00:46:36.400 patch to give you another
00:46:37.460 opportunity to seize the moral
00:46:38.960 high ground.
00:46:39.480 Head over to MySwagShack at
00:46:41.160 dailywire.com slash shop to
00:46:42.600 claim your Virtue Signal patch
00:46:43.780 and the indulgent sense of
00:46:45.740 self-satisfaction that comes
00:46:47.040 with it today.
00:46:49.380 Let's get now to the comment
00:46:50.620 section.
00:46:50.940 Who makes a Twitter mob fly off
00:46:53.720 the handle with rage?
00:46:57.140 Who's to blame?
00:46:58.920 Jonathan says,
00:47:05.700 Hey Matt, an important point you
00:47:06.780 missed about Megan Rapinoe is
00:47:08.280 that she, like many others, have
00:47:09.640 closed the door on the
00:47:10.680 generation behind them after
00:47:12.000 they had success.
00:47:13.800 She didn't have to compete with
00:47:14.840 boys growing up, and she's rich
00:47:16.560 and famous because of her
00:47:17.400 success, but she's closing the
00:47:18.460 door for other women in her
00:47:19.560 position because she's got hers.
00:47:21.060 It's similar to comedians who
00:47:22.180 made a living telling provocative
00:47:23.240 jokes and then telling young
00:47:24.820 comedians those same jokes are
00:47:26.120 offensive.
00:47:26.500 That's a good point.
00:47:26.980 And that's exactly what's
00:47:28.680 happening here.
00:47:29.260 And you said she didn't have
00:47:30.080 to compete against males, but
00:47:31.380 she did, as we talked about
00:47:32.500 yesterday, she did at least one
00:47:33.620 time have to compete against
00:47:34.660 boys who were under the age of
00:47:37.760 15 and she lost.
00:47:39.120 But now, right, she's, this is,
00:47:40.560 this is what all, this is why I
00:47:42.320 despise even more.
00:47:43.280 It's one thing to have the Gen Z
00:47:44.720 TikTok generation leftists who
00:47:46.680 are just, have been crazy from
00:47:48.820 birth.
00:47:49.400 And that's one thing, but to have
00:47:51.300 these older, the kind of old
00:47:53.280 crusty over the hill leftists who
00:47:55.740 are, who made it across, right?
00:47:57.940 Like you say, they made it to
00:47:59.240 success and now they're pulling
00:48:00.320 up the drawbridge behind them in
00:48:02.380 this way is, uh, that's even
00:48:04.400 worse.
00:48:04.700 I agree with you.
00:48:06.240 Let's see.
00:48:07.920 Dennis says, Juneteenth does not
00:48:10.220 have to be racial animosity turned
00:48:12.360 into a holiday.
00:48:13.580 Racial animosity is acting like
00:48:15.000 you're just as oppressed as your
00:48:16.140 ancestors and society never
00:48:17.460 recognized slavery as wrong.
00:48:18.960 A celebration of the end of
00:48:20.160 slavery is the polar opposite.
00:48:21.440 Uh, I got a lot of comments like
00:48:23.780 this, the, oh, Juneteenth, uh, you
00:48:26.860 know, it doesn't, it doesn't have
00:48:27.540 to be that.
00:48:28.100 It doesn't have to be a, this,
00:48:29.280 this leftist thing.
00:48:30.140 And you're right.
00:48:30.620 It doesn't have to be, there's no
00:48:32.680 reason why it had to go in this
00:48:34.140 direction, but it has, I mean,
00:48:35.540 that's, it doesn't have to be this,
00:48:37.380 but this is what it is.
00:48:39.960 Um, and this is, now you could go
00:48:43.040 and talk about the other versions of
00:48:45.360 Juneteenth that they had in Texas
00:48:46.960 or wherever else, but this
00:48:48.820 federally recognized nationwide
00:48:52.560 holiday, like this version of it
00:48:55.540 that was invented a couple of years
00:48:57.860 ago, um, it exists for all the
00:49:01.000 reasons we talked about yesterday
00:49:02.160 at, at, for racial division,
00:49:04.000 uh, grievance mongering, white guilt
00:49:07.300 and all of that.
00:49:07.880 That's why that exists.
00:49:10.340 And it's got nothing to do with
00:49:11.520 patriotism.
00:49:12.160 It's actually got nothing to do
00:49:13.060 with celebrating freedom.
00:49:13.920 Um, as great as it would be to
00:49:17.720 have a holiday like that, but
00:49:18.800 again, we actually do have a
00:49:19.920 holiday like that.
00:49:20.700 And, uh, the great thing is that
00:49:21.800 it happens just a few weeks after
00:49:23.120 Juneteenth, July 4th.
00:49:25.340 That's a time for celebrating
00:49:26.340 freedom.
00:49:29.040 It's not a coincidence by the way
00:49:30.640 that many of the, um, most ardent
00:49:33.720 advocates of Juneteenth are not big
00:49:35.960 fans of July 4th because freedom
00:49:38.940 isn't really their bag.
00:49:39.940 It's not what they actually care
00:49:40.980 about the most.
00:49:41.720 Um, Jesse says only Matt could
00:49:45.900 take a lovely sentiment about the
00:49:47.500 sharing of birthdays and turn it
00:49:49.080 around to benefit him with, with, uh,
00:49:51.140 him being given more presence.
00:49:52.640 Matt is a truly a master at being
00:49:54.060 alpha male to even one up his son
00:49:56.020 on who got the baddest stitches and
00:49:57.860 trauma trophy.
00:49:58.960 Matt, you are a kid in an alpha male
00:50:00.720 adult body.
00:50:01.980 Uh, I don't, is that really alpha
00:50:03.380 male status to try to one up as I
00:50:05.600 did my nine year old son after he
00:50:06.900 got stitches.
00:50:07.280 Does that make me, does that make
00:50:09.120 me alpha male or just incredibly
00:50:10.980 petty?
00:50:12.740 I guess it's up to you to decide.
00:50:15.840 And, um, finally Raptor Jesus says,
00:50:18.820 I do love how Matt pronounced the
00:50:20.420 commenter Prince, Prince Vegeta's
00:50:23.040 name.
00:50:23.740 It's Vegeta, Matt.
00:50:25.980 He's from Dragon Ball Z.
00:50:28.960 Well, Raptor Jesus, did you expect me
00:50:30.880 to actually know that?
00:50:32.620 You know how I am with pronunciations
00:50:34.260 and maybe I've never covered my stance
00:50:37.900 on anime, but you could probably guess
00:50:39.620 what it is.
00:50:41.180 So you can't be too surprised by that,
00:50:42.460 but thanks for that information.
00:50:43.420 Anyway, coming up next week, we have
00:50:45.140 our biggest live event of the year
00:50:46.900 backstage live at the Ryman.
00:50:48.360 There are only a few tickets left, so
00:50:49.840 don't miss out on this incredible
00:50:51.080 event.
00:50:51.440 We want to make sure there's a lot of
00:50:52.280 sweet baby gang representation there.
00:50:54.280 So, uh, make sure to snatch those
00:50:56.760 tickets up now.
00:50:57.640 What is Backstage Live?
00:50:58.560 It's your favorite Daily Wire hosts in
00:51:00.060 person like you've never seen them
00:51:01.340 before.
00:51:02.160 You have to see it to believe it.
00:51:03.240 Just take a look at last year's event.
00:51:05.060 Welcome to the Daily Wire Backstage
00:51:06.900 Live at the famous Ryman Auditorium.
00:51:09.840 It was amazing.
00:51:11.320 We were in the presence of greatness.
00:51:12.920 The energy of having everyone on the
00:51:15.020 same page was amazing.
00:51:16.300 If your family member is still waiting
00:51:18.260 for Fauci to give them permission to
00:51:20.460 leave their house, it might be time to
00:51:22.020 cut that off.
00:51:22.560 I'm actually pretty excited to meet
00:51:24.540 all of them.
00:51:25.100 I love everybody's opinion individually.
00:51:26.840 I don't have a favorite.
00:51:27.540 I like them all.
00:51:28.480 I had found out a way to make football
00:51:30.840 players cry in high school.
00:51:32.180 My high school experience had been
00:51:33.400 a lot.
00:51:34.560 I'm just excited to be here and be
00:51:36.500 surrounded by like-minded people and
00:51:38.640 to just, you know, feel that energy.
00:51:40.540 Who should we remove from office?
00:51:42.180 One politician.
00:51:43.520 The most powerful politician in the
00:51:44.880 country.
00:51:45.240 Dr. Fauci.
00:51:46.700 What are you talking about?
00:51:48.060 We're doing culture here.
00:51:49.140 I'm so thrilled to see this happening.
00:51:50.780 If they say to half of the country,
00:51:52.320 you can't, that half of the country
00:51:54.200 needs to say, screw you, we will.

00:52:25.100 Now let's get to our daily cancellation.
00:52:26.440 Now, in fairness, you have to understand
00:52:32.360 how difficult this is for the left.
00:52:34.720 They're in a very tough spot, you know,
00:52:36.420 though, of course, they put themselves
00:52:37.460 in this spot.
00:52:38.300 They've decided to go all in defending
00:52:40.100 drag shows for children.
00:52:41.440 Given that this is an entirely
00:52:42.540 indefensible and abhorrent and utterly
00:52:45.200 shocking and degraded practice, there
00:52:47.180 really aren't any good arguments
00:52:48.400 available to them.
00:52:49.600 They could, therefore, abandon their
00:52:51.440 child drag advocacy and reclaim whatever
00:52:53.820 sliver of dignity they might have had
00:52:55.260 left, they could throw up their hands
00:52:56.640 and say, okay, you know what?
00:52:57.800 We may have gone a little too far
00:52:59.300 with this.
00:52:59.740 Actually, it is super weird and
00:53:01.000 disgusting to have cross-dressing
00:53:02.140 fetishes performing for preschoolers.
00:53:05.500 So never mind.
00:53:06.300 Let's just forget about this whole thing.
00:53:08.200 They could do that, but they won't.
00:53:10.160 They never backtrack.
00:53:11.160 They never apologize.
00:53:11.980 They never admit that they're wrong
00:53:12.680 about anything.
00:53:13.420 Their only option is to go full speed
00:53:14.960 ahead all the time, and that leaves
00:53:16.440 them scrambling for ways to justify
00:53:18.140 the pedophilic combination of drag queens
00:53:20.780 and children.
00:53:21.900 This week on social media, they seem to
00:53:23.360 think that they've maybe stumbled upon
00:53:24.620 a talking point, which might accomplish
00:53:27.080 this feat for them.
00:53:29.400 The problem is that the argument
00:53:30.520 they've settled on actually undermines
00:53:32.280 the premise that they seek to defend.
00:53:34.740 Once again, they've pulled the pin out
00:53:36.240 of the grenade, and then they just
00:53:37.660 dropped it at their own feet.
00:53:39.860 Certainly not the first time that this
00:53:41.080 has happened.
00:53:41.940 So in recent days, Mrs. Doubtfire,
00:53:44.740 the 1993 Robin Williams comedy where he
00:53:46.960 pretends to be an old woman so that he
00:53:48.900 can nanny his children without his
00:53:50.720 estranged wife finding out.
00:53:52.260 And it's one of those movies from the
00:53:54.420 90s that when you describe it now, it just
00:53:56.280 sounds really weird.
00:53:57.640 But that movie has been trending on
00:53:59.100 Twitter, and that is due to tweets like
00:54:01.240 this one from alleged comedian Whitney
00:54:03.020 Cummings, who wrote, quote,
00:54:05.720 These old weirdos worried about drag queens
00:54:07.980 and kids forgot that our favorite movies as
00:54:10.120 kids were Tootsie, Mrs. Doubtfire, and the
00:54:12.360 Nutty Professor.
00:54:14.100 Yes, because the people who don't want men to
00:54:16.220 cross-dress in front of children are weirdos.
00:54:18.860 We're the ones who are weirdos.
00:54:19.840 But this comparison to old comedies involving
00:54:22.600 men in drag has become popular.
00:54:25.020 Mocking concerns about the drag queen child
00:54:27.180 combination, Max Kennerly tweeted,
00:54:29.500 I was 11 when I saw Mrs. Doubtfire.
00:54:31.440 It had a lasting negative impact on me.
00:54:33.220 Specifically, I couldn't comprehend how they
00:54:34.600 didn't realize this was cake icing, not
00:54:36.220 facial cream.
00:54:37.160 Had the whole world gone mad, my young
00:54:38.980 mind was damaged.
00:54:40.620 Emily Murnane, another woman who pretends
00:54:42.420 to be a comedian, tweeted in a similar
00:54:43.880 vein,
00:54:44.160 Well, she wasn't joking about being a morally
00:54:55.160 depraved loser, at least.
00:54:56.860 A guy named David Grossman chimed in with his
00:54:59.240 own version of this hilarious joke, tweeting,
00:55:00.920 You think that's bad?
00:55:02.260 I was 13 when I saw Will Ferrell dress up as
00:55:04.780 Janet Reno on SNL.
00:55:06.660 This led directly to heroin.
00:55:09.160 Now, there are many other examples of this
00:55:10.720 talking point, but you get the idea.
00:55:11.920 Many of us grew up watching comedies
00:55:14.380 involving men in drag, and we turned out
00:55:16.560 fine, relatively.
00:55:18.120 So, what's wrong with children at drag shows?
00:55:21.240 That's like the argument.
00:55:23.500 Well, the first and most obvious response
00:55:25.340 is that, to my memory, there is no scene
00:55:28.400 in Mrs. Doubtfire where Robin Williams
00:55:30.000 strips down to a thong and twerks on the
00:55:32.100 ground while children throw money at him.
00:55:35.180 Maybe I'd go back and watch it again, but
00:55:36.460 I'm pretty sure it didn't happen.
00:55:38.080 That's precisely what happens, though, at
00:55:39.600 drag shows.
00:55:40.140 You don't have to be the most perceptive
00:55:42.600 person in the world to notice a difference
00:55:44.060 here.
00:55:45.280 Namely, the difference is that the point
00:55:47.120 of one is to be funny, while the point
00:55:50.300 of the other is to be sexual.
00:55:52.640 There's a reason why these drag shows are
00:55:54.380 not at comedy clubs.
00:55:55.440 They're at gay clubs.
00:55:56.860 There's no neon sign in the background
00:55:58.460 that says Chuckle Hut or Laugh Factory.
00:56:01.220 Instead, the neon sign says, as was the case
00:56:03.300 in one of these drag shows for kids, it's not
00:56:05.500 going to lick itself.
00:56:06.320 The drag events are sexually charged by
00:56:09.440 their nature.
00:56:10.080 That's the point of them.
00:56:11.200 That's why they exist.
00:56:12.700 The audience at a drag show does not sit
00:56:15.000 there and point and laugh the whole time.
00:56:17.620 They're not there to mock the drag queen for
00:56:19.420 how ridiculous he looks.
00:56:21.360 And the children at the drag show are not
00:56:23.200 meant to come away with the idea that it's
00:56:25.340 absurd or silly or stupid for men to dress
00:56:28.440 like women.
00:56:28.920 Quite the opposite.
00:56:30.720 And that brings us to the second and most
00:56:32.080 crucial point.
00:56:32.960 And this is where the grenade goes off and
00:56:34.440 blows to pieces the people who tried to
00:56:35.920 throw it against us.
00:56:37.880 The point is this.
00:56:39.940 Mrs. Doubtfire could not exist today as a
00:56:43.660 film.
00:56:44.260 It couldn't be made.
00:56:45.780 And that's not because conservatives would
00:56:47.420 object.
00:56:48.480 It's the left that would have a conniption
00:56:50.880 fit over it.
00:56:51.620 Why?
00:56:52.560 Because the comedy in Mrs. Doubtfire and
00:56:54.940 films similar to it entirely revolves around
00:56:58.360 the fundamental absurdity of males dressing
00:57:01.080 like females.
00:57:01.820 We're supposed to laugh about it and at it.
00:57:05.600 The cross-dressing man is essentially a clown
00:57:08.340 wearing a ridiculous outfit for our amusement.
00:57:11.700 Indeed, the comedy makes no sense.
00:57:13.800 There is no comedy at all unless you recognize
00:57:16.280 the differences between men and women and
00:57:18.000 believe that somebody in one category can never
00:57:20.140 cross over to the other.
00:57:21.960 The laughs come from that basic understanding.
00:57:25.500 Mrs. Doubtfire is funny because it's absurd.
00:57:28.140 And it's absurd because a man is wearing women's
00:57:30.820 clothing, and that's absurd.
00:57:34.000 But the left says that we have to take cross-dressing
00:57:36.080 men seriously.
00:57:37.380 They say it's not comedy at all, but a deep
00:57:39.620 expression of their inner being.
00:57:42.680 What's more, they say gender is fluid, and so
00:57:44.480 there's nothing fundamentally absurd about a
00:57:46.120 biological male presenting himself as a female.
00:57:48.560 In modern America, Mrs. Doubtfire would be
00:57:50.620 condemned as transphobic, homophobic, gender
00:57:53.100 exclusionary, reinforcing the gender binary and all
00:57:56.540 that. Or else, if something like it was made
00:57:59.740 today, it wouldn't be a comedy, but a drama.
00:58:02.960 It would be the inspiring story of a man who
00:58:05.660 identifies as an elderly woman and struggles for
00:58:08.280 to be accepted, you know, by society and his own
00:58:11.120 family. Like, if the exact movie of Mrs.
00:58:13.900 Doubtfire had never existed and then was made in
00:58:17.220 2022, the left would watch it and either they would
00:58:20.460 want to burn at the stake everybody involved, or they
00:58:23.740 would think that it's an inspirational drama. Like, they
00:58:25.580 would not see it as a comedy. Unless I'm wrong. Perhaps
00:58:31.100 I should take these leftists at their own word. They're
00:58:34.260 saying that modern drag shows and Mrs. Doubtfire are
00:58:38.240 the same. That's what they're saying. Okay, so can I then
00:58:43.280 point and laugh at drag queens? Can I say that they look
00:58:47.500 ridiculous? Can I teach my children that when they see a man
00:58:51.900 dressed like a woman, it's funny and silly and they should
00:58:54.460 not take it seriously. They should laugh at it. Now, I
00:58:57.800 have taught my children that that's exactly what I've told
00:59:00.360 them on a few occasions when we've been out in public and
00:59:02.900 they have unfortunately, incidentally, witnessed
00:59:06.300 something like this. I've told them that's silly. That's
00:59:10.240 ridiculous. That's all that is. And I'm going to tell my
00:59:13.660 children that whether I have permission from the left or
00:59:15.300 not. But are they now endorsing that approach? Something tells
00:59:20.460 me they're not, not intentionally anyway. They're just
00:59:24.060 saying whatever they think will be most effective in the
00:59:25.960 moment, even if it contradicts everything else they say in
00:59:28.300 every other moment, as usual. And for that reason, they are
00:59:32.160 today canceled. And we'll leave it there for today. Thanks
00:59:35.020 for watching. Thanks for listening. Have a great day. God
00:59:37.140 speed.
