00:00:37.760 It's Friday, November 21st, 2025, and this is your AM update.

00:00:42.020 A Democratic Florida congresswoman indicted for allegedly stealing $5 million in FEMA money

00:00:47.980 and redirecting it to her campaign. 1.00

00:00:50.360 The president of the United States is calling for the execution of elected officials.

00:00:55.940 And what some are calling a bizarre moment of Trump derangement syndrome,

00:01:00.000 as Democrats spiked Trump over a hypothetical illegal order.

00:01:04.180 We ignored how open borders were not actually good for the dignity, even of the illegal migrants 1.00

00:01:10.520 themselves.

00:01:11.040 Vice President J.D. Vance weighing in on an array of topics from jobs to immigration and more.

00:01:16.820 And an ex-New Jersey Republican congressional staffer charged with, get this, faking a violent

00:01:23.180 political attack.

00:01:24.480 All that and more coming up in just a moment here on your AM update.

00:01:28.060 We talk a lot about personal responsibility on this show.

00:01:35.240 Well, here's one aspect that's really important, your health.

00:01:38.920 And I'm not talking about following whatever the experts recommend.

00:01:41.900 I'm talking about real data-driven decisions based on your body's actual numbers.

00:01:46.240 We demand transparency in government, but most of us have no idea what's happening inside

00:01:51.260 of our own bodies.

00:01:52.760 Disease can develop silently for years before symptoms appear.

00:01:56.480 By then, you're playing catch-up with expensive treatments instead of preventing problems when

00:02:00.540 they are cheap and easy to fix.

00:02:02.660 I want to tell you about Jevity.

00:02:05.100 They are revolutionizing preventative care with something radically different.

00:02:34.760 Because no one should control your health decisions but you.

00:02:38.700 Congresswoman Sheila Serphilis-McCormick, a Democrat from Florida and several co-defendants,

00:02:46.420 indicted Wednesday by a federal grand jury out of Miami.

00:02:49.620 The Fed's accusing the group of stealing FEMA disaster funds and laundering the money into

00:02:54.780 her 2021 congressional campaign.

00:02:57.740 According to the indictment, the family health care company operated by Serphilis-McCormick

00:03:01.960 and her brother Edwin received a $5 million overpayment on a FEMA COVID vaccine staffing

00:03:08.400 contract back in July of 2021.

00:03:11.560 Prosecutors alleged the siblings conspired to steal the funds, diverting it through multiple

00:03:16.840 accounts to hide the source.

00:03:19.300 Staffer Najaj LeBlanc, also indicted in the alleged scheme, Southern District of Florida prosecutors,

00:03:25.220 alleging the defendants funneled the extra money to friends and relatives, who then donated

00:03:29.540 it back to the campaign.

00:03:31.280 Tax preparer David Spencer, charged with conspiring to file a false tax return, from the Justice

00:03:37.640 Department press relief, quote, they falsely claimed political spending and other personal

00:03:41.980 expenses as business deductions and inflated charitable contributions in order to reduce

00:03:47.640 her tax obligations.

00:03:49.720 The Congresswoman yesterday releasing a statement saying, quote, this is an unjust, baseless, sham

00:03:54.480 indictment, and I am innocent.

00:03:56.120 The timing alone is curious and clearly meant to distract from far more pressing national

00:04:01.320 issues.

00:04:02.360 Also yesterday, the Congresswoman relinquishing her leadership position on a foreign affairs

00:04:06.780 subcommittee as Democratic caucus rules require any indicted representatives to step down from

00:04:12.620 leadership positions.

00:04:13.920 The state of Florida suing Trinity Health Services, of which the Congresswoman was the CEO in December

00:04:19.940 2024 for refusing to turn over $5 million in overcharges.

00:04:24.960 The Washington Post reporting the Congresswoman settled the lawsuit, agreeing to pay back the

00:04:29.740 funds over the next 19 years.

00:04:31.940 These charges are not the only trouble she faces, though.

00:04:34.260 In a separate ongoing matter, in 2024, the Office of Congressional Conduct referring Sheffelis

00:04:39.360 McCormick to the House Ethics Committee for investigation from the referral.

00:04:43.400 This is a quote.

00:04:44.060 There is substantial reason to believe that she requested community project funding that

00:04:48.760 would be directed to a for-profit entity.

00:04:51.580 She, at the time, also denied any wrongdoing.

00:04:54.140 The Congresswoman now faces up to 53 years in prison if convicted on all the charges related

00:05:00.060 to the alleged FEMA scheme.

00:05:03.080 With the Epstein Files bill now in the rearview mirror, Democrats quickly shifting their focus

00:05:07.680 to a new political flashpoint, a hypothetical illegal order given by President Trump to the

00:05:13.180 military.

00:05:13.660 President Trump reacting to a video posted by six Democratic lawmakers on Tuesday urging

00:05:18.320 members of the U.S. military and intelligence community to refuse illegal orders and, quote,

00:05:24.320 don't give up the ship.

00:05:25.900 Senator Alyssa Slotkin of Michigan, Senator Mark Kelly of Arizona, Congressman Chris Deluzio

00:05:31.080 and Chrissy Hulan of Pennsylvania, and Maggie Goodlander of New Hampshire, plus Jason Crowe of

00:05:36.480 Colorado posting this video addressed directly to military service members.

00:05:40.980 Right now, the threats to our Constitution aren't just coming from abroad, but from right

00:05:45.620 here at home.

00:05:46.340 Our laws are clear.

00:05:47.680 You can refuse illegal orders.

00:05:50.040 We need you to stand up for our laws.

00:05:51.960 Our Constitution and who we are as Americans.

00:05:55.100 Don't give up.

00:05:56.360 Don't give up.

00:05:57.160 Don't give up.

00:05:57.860 Don't give up the ship.

00:05:59.740 A remarkably bold and notably vague directive, military law does require troops to refuse unlawful

00:06:05.620 orders, but the lawmakers never describe what illegal orders they might be referring to.

00:06:10.260 Senator Slotkin last week introducing the No Troops in Our Streets Act, enabling Congress

00:06:16.260 to block or terminate any National Guard deployments by majority vote.

00:06:20.500 Democrats heavily criticizing Mr. Trump's previous deployments of the National Guard to America's

00:06:25.460 cities to aid in illegal immigration crackdowns.

00:06:28.960 Congressman Crowe earlier this week introduced a resolution to block the White House from conducting

00:06:33.400 additional strikes on suspected drug boats en route to the U.S.

00:06:38.420 In recent months, the U.S. carrying out more than 20 such strikes, killing at least 80 suspected

00:06:43.640 drug traffickers.

00:06:44.940 President Trump reacting to the video yesterday morning, responding on True Social, quote,

00:06:48.920 this is really bad and dangerous to our country.

00:06:51.520 Their words cannot be allowed to stand. 0.68

00:06:53.880 Seditious behavior from traitors. 0.89

00:06:56.320 Lock them up.

00:06:57.680 Question mark.

00:06:58.280 Question mark.

00:06:58.800 Question mark.

00:06:59.820 Democrats perhaps getting what they wanted in the first place in response to

00:07:03.280 Mr. Trump's post from the Senate floor yesterday.

00:07:05.840 Here is Minority Leader Chuck Schumer.

00:07:08.300 The president of the United States is calling for the execution of elected officials.

00:07:14.540 This is an outright threat and it's deadly serious.

00:07:19.180 We've already seen what happens when Donald Trump tells his followers that his political

00:07:23.120 opponents are enemies of the state.

00:07:24.800 Every time Donald Trump posts things like this, he makes political violence more likely.

00:07:30.920 None of us should tolerate this kind of behavior.

00:07:33.840 We all remember what January 6th was like.

00:07:36.320 We lived through January 6th.

00:07:38.260 When Donald Trump uses the language of execution and treason, some of his supporters may very well

00:07:45.360 listen.

00:07:45.700 At yesterday's White House briefing, the press secretary, Caroline Levitt, fielding multiple

00:07:50.080 questions from an outraged press corps.

00:07:52.740 Just to be clear, does the president want to execute members of Congress?

00:07:57.460 No.

00:07:58.080 Let's be clear about what the president is responding to, because many in this room want to talk

00:08:03.520 about the president's response, but not what brought the president to responding in this

00:08:08.960 way.

00:08:09.220 You have sitting members of the United States Congress who conspired together to orchestrate

00:08:16.860 a video message to members of the United States military, to active duty service members,

00:08:22.920 to members of the national security apparatus, encouraging them to defy the president's lawful

00:08:29.900 orders.

00:08:31.280 House Speaker Mike Johnson redirecting a question about Mr. Trump's statement back to the original

00:08:35.600 video, which he calls dangerous.

00:08:37.860 I know the DOJ and the Pentagon are looking into the legality of all that, but what I

00:08:43.560 can address is what everybody knows that was wildly inappropriate.

00:08:47.300 It is very dangerous.

00:08:48.440 You have leading members of Congress telling troops to disobey orders.

00:08:52.720 I think that's unprecedented in American history.

00:08:54.920 And as the father of a young man who is, you know, at the Naval Academy, going to be joining

00:08:59.380 the service, I know young soldiers, airmen, sailors, they don't need that kind of nonsense.

00:09:07.860 From people in Congress, it is very dangerous.

00:09:10.560 Senator Slotkin, who organized the original video, posting another video yesterday on X.

00:09:16.000 I'm Senator Alyssa Slotkin, senator from Michigan, former CIA officer.

00:09:20.560 Earlier today, President Trump threatened myself and a number of other service and veteran

00:09:25.360 lawmakers with arrest, trial, and death because he didn't agree with a video we put out this

00:09:31.860 week.

00:09:32.560 I would hope that people of all backgrounds, Democrat, Republican, Independent, would agree

00:09:37.900 that threatening death for people you disagree with is beyond the pale of who we are as Americans.

00:09:44.200 For me, I believe in the power of this country and that we are better than our current politics

00:09:50.500 represent.

00:09:51.740 And I refuse to be intimidated out of defending the country I love.

00:09:56.160 And back and forth and back and forth we go.

00:09:58.460 Coming up, Vice President J.D. Vance weighing in on the jobs front, the Pope, and more in

00:10:05.040 a very wide-ranging fireside chat, and a former congressional staffer in court for allegedly

00:10:10.980 staging an attack against herself.

00:10:18.620 As President Trump is settling into his new administration, one of the top Democrats in

00:10:23.440 Congress aiming to undermine the Trump agenda is Senator Dick Durbin.

00:10:27.920 And according to our sponsor, the Electronic Payments Coalition, Senator Durbin has a new

00:10:32.460 scheme, a government takeover of your credit card.

00:10:36.040 Today, Americans have thousands of choices in credit cards, but they say Senator Durbin's

00:10:40.520 plan will result in less competition and less security.

00:10:44.120 And that means more risk for your credit and identity.

00:10:47.420 Learn more at guardyourcard.com and consider telling your senators to stop Dick Durbin's

00:10:53.080 government takeover of your credit card before it's too late.

00:10:58.440 Vice President J.D. Vance addressing the just-released jobs report and more in a sit-down

00:11:03.180 interview with Breitbart News.

00:11:04.340 On that latest jobs report, the September numbers just released yesterday due to that government

00:11:09.640 shutdown causing a delay showed better-than-expected gains of 119,000 jobs, breaking a two-month

00:11:16.900 downward trend.

00:11:17.820 Unemployment remaining relatively flat, taking up by a 0.1 to 4.4 percent, the highest level

00:11:25.040 since October of 2021.

00:11:27.680 Mr. Vance saying the report underscores the strength of Donald Trump's policies.

00:11:32.040 So a huge jobs report, and I assume the market is going crazy right now, probably just opened,

00:11:37.420 because what this shows is that the Trump economic policies are actually working.

00:11:41.580 And you've got 119,000 new jobs.

00:11:43.480 Economists thought that we would have about 50,000 new jobs, but that's actually just the

00:11:47.280 headline number.

00:11:48.480 If you look below the surface, I think the numbers are actually better.

00:11:51.100 So number one, wages continue to way outpace inflation.

00:11:55.320 If you go back to the three years of the Biden administration, the average American worker

00:11:59.500 actually lost about $3,000 of take-home pay.

00:12:02.460 In the first 10 months of the Trump economy, we've increased take-home pay by about $1,200

00:12:07.040 adjusting for inflation.

00:12:08.580 So that's a huge, huge thing, and this jobs report confirms that.

00:12:11.940 Now turning to immigration, VP Vance asked about recent comments made by Pope Leo XIV,

00:12:17.960 the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, last week releasing a rare statement

00:12:21.680 criticizing the Trump administration's mass deportations effort, quote,

00:12:25.800 we are disturbed when we see among our people a climate of fear and anxiety around questions

00:12:31.000 of profiling and immigration enforcement.

00:12:34.100 Many conservatives taking issue with the bishops, saying that statement sounds more like

00:12:38.180 a demand to accept an unending wave of mass migration.

00:12:41.940 And earlier this week, Pope Leo himself offering a more nuanced statement, somewhat, though,

00:12:46.900 echoing the bishops.

00:12:47.580 I appreciate very much what the bishops have said.

00:12:51.680 I think it's a very important statement.

00:12:53.840 I would invite, especially all Catholics, but people of goodwill to listen carefully to what

00:12:59.380 they said.

00:13:00.280 If people are in the United States illegally, there are ways to treat that. 0.94

00:13:04.680 There are courts.

00:13:05.580 There is a system of justice.

00:13:06.920 No one has said that the United States should have open borders.

00:13:10.120 I think every country has a right to determine who and how and when people enter.

00:13:17.480 But when people are living good lives, and many of them for 10, 15, 20 years, to treat them

00:13:23.880 in a way that is extremely disrespectful, to say the least.

00:13:28.020 The vice president of practicing Catholic, reacting.

00:13:31.040 The Catholic Church's views on this are actually quite clear.

00:13:34.880 And it's that, yes, you must treat immigrants humanely.

00:13:38.440 On the other hand, every nation has the right to control its borders.

00:13:41.640 And obviously, how you strike that balance is very important.

00:13:44.580 We ignored how open borders were not actually good for the dignity, even of the illegal migrants 1.00

00:13:50.420 themselves. 0.84

00:13:51.180 You had little kids getting sex trafficked.

00:13:53.260 Border security is not just good for American citizens.

00:13:56.400 It is the humanitarian thing to do for the entire world.

00:13:59.740 Because when you empower the cartels, and when you empower the human traffickers, whether

00:14:05.000 in the United States or anywhere else, you're empowering the very worst people in the world.

00:14:09.780 It's almost like Europe and America got this idea in their head that to control your border

00:14:15.980 at all was fundamentally uncompassionate.

00:14:19.640 Maybe it was even racist and bad.

00:14:22.040 The president and I reject that wholesale.

00:14:24.820 So putting the interests of your citizens first, it's not some ancillary thing.

00:14:29.820 It is the very purpose of government.

00:14:32.160 DHS announcing in October more than 527,000 deportations since the start of the second

00:14:38.300 Trump administration, as well as 1.6 million self-deportations.

00:14:44.420 Now, this is a crazy story.

00:14:46.160 A former congressional staffer of Republican U.S.

00:14:48.880 Congressman from New Jersey, Jeff Van Drew, charged with staging a violent political attack

00:14:53.440 against herself.

00:14:55.340 According to the federal criminal complaint out of the District of New Jersey, 26-year-old

00:14:59.660 Natalie Green is charged with one count of conspiracy to convey false statements and hoaxes,

00:15:05.500 and one count of making false statements to a federal law enforcement official.

00:15:08.700 Late on July 23, 2025, Green's unnamed co-conspirators are calling 9-1-1, telling officers they had

00:15:16.140 been attacked by three men while walking on a wooded nature trail in Egg Harbor Township.

00:15:22.500 The co-conspirator telling the 9-1-1 operator, quote,

00:15:25.420 I came here with my friend and three guys just attacked us.

00:15:28.640 They were attacking her.

00:15:29.700 They were like talking about politics and stuff.

00:15:32.080 They were like calling her names.

00:15:33.640 And they said if we don't be quiet, they were going to shoot us.

00:15:36.360 Police arriving on the scene led to Green by the co-conspirator, officers discovering

00:15:40.920 Green laying on the ground, her feet and hands bound by black zip ties, her shirt pulled over

00:15:46.340 her head.

00:15:47.180 From the complaint, again quoting, when the officers found Green, she had numerous lacerations 0.99

00:15:51.360 on her right side, including her face, neck, upper chest, and shoulder. 0.99

00:15:55.620 The words, Trump whore, were written on her stomach, and Van Drew is a racist was written 1.00

00:16:00.540 on her back with a black marker. 0.99

00:16:02.860 Green was brought to a hospital for treatment in a later interview with investigators.

00:16:06.360 Green described routine threats received by Congressman Van Drew's office, where she

00:16:11.640 worked.

00:16:12.580 Officers searching her vehicle, discovering black zip ties similar to the ones used on

00:16:17.560 Green.

00:16:18.520 Further investigation leading detectives to a scarification artist, which is exactly what

00:16:24.500 it sounds like, a person who cuts into a client's body to intentionally create scars.

00:16:29.020 In Pennsylvania, hours before the alleged attack, a receipt from the body modification shop,

00:16:34.220 revealing Green paid 500 bucks in cash and signed a waiver for, quote, scarification.

00:16:40.380 There's a new vocabulary word for everybody.

00:16:42.600 The federal complaint does not identify Congressman Van Drew by name, but a spokesman for the

00:16:47.240 Congressman's office confirms that Green is a former employee, quote, while Natalie is

00:16:51.560 no longer associated with the Congressman's government office, our thoughts and prayers are with

00:16:56.040 her.

00:16:56.220 We hope she's getting the care she needs.

00:16:58.520 Green, appearing in court for the first time on Wednesday, released on a $200,000 bond.

00:17:03.720 Each charge carries a $250,000 fine with a maximum penalty of five years in prison and three years

00:17:11.200 of supervised release.

00:17:13.100 Craziest thing I've ever heard.
