00:00:00.520 Recently, our company's softball team lost the big game by one run.
00:00:04.820 Then Dale tried to console us with the quote,
00:00:07.220 winning isn't everything.
00:00:09.080 Well, Dale and I are very different.
00:00:12.760 I get early payout from Bet365.
00:00:14.700 If my team goes up big, I get paid out instantly,
00:00:17.500 even if they blow the lead later.
00:00:19.500 Sound familiar, Dale?
00:00:21.280 Thanks, Bet365.

00:00:30.560 Welcome to The Megyn Kelly Show, live on Sirius XM Channel 111 every weekday at New East.
00:00:42.260 Hey everyone, I'm Megyn Kelly. Welcome to The Megyn Kelly Show and happy Wednesday and an
00:00:46.540 explosive day on Capitol Hill. Dr. Anthony Fauci finally forced to field questions about his
00:00:52.620 handling of the COVID pandemic. So what did he say? Well, here's how it started in the Senate
00:00:59.980 Homeland Security Committee. Watch this. Given Senator Paul's obvious obsession with calling
00:01:07.260 for my prosecution, his repeated slanderous comments about me, and recently his publicly
00:01:16.340 releasing my unredacted personal diary aimed at embarrassing and intimidating me,
00:01:25.780 the only conclusion I can reach is that the sole reason he is calling me before this committee
00:01:34.420 is to get me to say something, anything, that could vindicate his repeated public pledges
00:01:43.660 that I end up, in his words, quote, behind bars, unquote. Therefore, although it pains me to do so
00:01:53.520 Because of the respect I have for the legislative branch of government and my decades-long record of cooperating with Congress, under the advice of my attorneys, I will invoke my right under the Fifth Amendment of the Constitution to refrain from answering your questions. Thank you.
00:02:16.480 that's right dr fauci who's been given a full presidential pardon pleaded the fifth on the
00:02:25.400 grounds that he does not want to incriminate himself refusing to answer any and we do mean
00:02:31.720 any questions it happened over and over and over can you explain to the committee why you chose
00:02:40.860 to fund this dangerous research in China.
00:02:43.580 On the advice of counsel, I respectfully declined to answer
00:02:47.020 based upon my rights under the Fifth Amendment of the Constitution.
00:02:51.220 Were the scientists at the Wuhan Institute of Virology
00:02:54.680 capable of inserting a furin cleavage site into a coronavirus?
00:02:58.660 On the advice of counsel, I respectfully declined to answer
00:03:01.940 based upon my rights under the Fifth Amendment of the Constitution.
00:03:05.500 Did you fund gain-of-function research in other biolabs around the world?
00:03:09.520 On the advice of counsel, I respectfully decline to answer based upon my rights under the Fifth Amendment to the Constitution.
00:03:17.000 Do you think that the risks really are worth the benefits for gain-of-function research?
00:03:21.240 On the advice of counsel, I respectfully decline to answer based upon my rights under the Fifth Amendment to the Constitution.
00:03:28.660 Dr. Fauci, would you like to at least answer this one question for us today and let us know whether or not you've changed your mind on whether or not the benefits of gain of function research outweigh the risks?
00:03:40.940 On the advice of counsel, I respectfully decline to answer based upon my rights under the Fifth Amendment to the Constitution.
00:03:48.880 So he was just as forthcoming before the committee as he was when he was running our COVID response.
00:03:54.300 uh which we now know from his personal diaries involved multiple lies and obfuscation i mean
00:04:02.660 it was like we'll get into this in a second if you're going to assert the fifth amendment you
00:04:08.600 typically assert the fifth amendment on anything because you don't want to be tricked into waiving
00:04:14.300 your rights you know don't want it to be like a landmine into getting you to say something about
00:04:18.760 whoops, oh, I started the pandemic. But this guy took this to laughable lengths. Watch.
00:04:26.540 In the red folder on your table is a copy of Section 192 of Title II of the U.S. Code.
00:04:33.340 Your counsel has been provided a copy as well. That section makes it a crime for a witness
00:04:38.780 appearing under subpoena to refuse to answer any questions pertinent to the question under
00:04:43.540 inquiry. Do you have that in front of you? On the advice of counsel, I respectfully decline
00:04:51.100 to answer based upon my rights under the Fifth Amendment, let the Constitution let the record
00:04:56.360 record that the witness has refused to answer whether there's a folder in front of him
00:05:01.780 based on his Fifth Amendment right. I mean, you can hear the audible laughter and the frustration
00:05:08.800 from Republican senators there who were seeking to be the voice of their voters looking for any
00:05:17.380 tiny modicum of responsibility to be taken by this man. This is the man by his own admission who
00:05:26.620 got the schools closed across the country and specifically patted himself on the back for
00:05:31.780 doing it in New York and L.A., two of our biggest cities. This is the man you have to blame. This
00:05:36.480 is the man who strong-armed the CDC into mandating vaccines, mandating masks, and so on. This is the
00:05:43.320 guy. Just a tiny modicum of responsibility taking. And that's what the Republican senators were
00:05:50.340 trying to get. They're getting ripped on MSNOW for that effort. And they were utterly unsuccessful. 1.00
00:05:56.780 You can't force him on the spot to answer when he's refusing. He showed up with a battery of
00:06:01.240 lawyers. We'll get to that in a second. Here is newly elected, relatively, Ohio Senator Bernie
00:06:07.460 Moreno trying for us all. Can you do me a favor in the audience and stand up if during the time
00:06:14.680 of the COVID pandemic, you were called a racist for calling the virus a Wuhan virus or the China
00:06:22.020 virus. If you thought the six foot rule was total crap, if you thought the vaccine wasn't something 0.98
00:06:28.400 that you should take, if you thought it was outrageous the way the mass policy was rolled 0.96
00:06:33.260 out, if you were fired from your job for not taking that vaccine, including members of 0.99
00:06:39.400 the military, if you thought closing schools was catastrophically stupid, and that you 0.99
00:06:45.400 thought that during these times, saying these things made you somehow a lesser human being. 0.98
00:06:53.620 Dr. Frederick, can you just turn around and look at the people behind you?
00:06:56.220 you're not willing to do that that's not a question it's not a question to your lawyers
00:07:02.760 not a question it's a request all you have to do is look up from your lawyers and look at the people
00:07:09.520 who were absolutely shamed for saying what we know now to be the truth you can't even look at
00:07:17.860 them that's a that's a question are you able to look at them on the advice of counsel i'm not i
00:07:24.620 I mean, that's how it went. Good for him for trying. But Senator Marino was not done. Watch.
00:07:29.560 When that story broke, I said to myself, I cannot stand I. Lee on the side and watch this happen.
00:07:39.400 It was about six years ago today that I decided I'm going to give up my businesses, sell them all, run for office, run through the United States Senate. 0.99
00:07:49.740 Here I am sitting in front of you six years later saying, who the fuck do you think you were for doing that? 0.94
00:07:54.620 yeah great questions great questions there's a major legal question regarding fauci's 0.97
00:08:03.920 non-testimony today president joe biden infamously gave fauci a sweeping preemptive
00:08:10.820 pardon for any federal crimes related to his government service from 2014 you may remember
00:08:16.300 the pandemic began in 2020 but this pardon went back six years earlier could it have been
00:08:23.060 to the date that his gain of function research began because the pardon went from 2014 to January
00:08:30.200 19th, 2025, the date of the pardon. It's not legally allowed to go beyond that date. You can't
00:08:36.420 say for all acts in the future forever. Senator Hawley of Missouri, who was, he is a lawyer,
00:08:43.340 he cleared for the Supreme Court and he was Missouri's AG for a time, or was it AG or
00:08:48.360 Solicitor General or both, I think. In any event, talented lawyer believes that Fauci cannot claim
00:08:53.820 his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination because he's already been
00:08:57.980 pardoned against any criminal liability. Watch. Just get one thing straight. You don't have any
00:09:02.180 rights under the Fifth Amendment because you've been pardoned, as you very well know, as the
00:09:06.820 Supreme Court has been clear for a century and more. Brown versus Walker, 1896. When he has been
00:09:12.660 pardoned, he may not stand upon his privilege. You know that your lawyers sitting behind you now
00:09:18.420 shifting nervously in their chairs. They know it. This isn't about the Constitution. This isn't
00:09:22.520 about the law. This is about contempt, contempt for this body and contempt for the American people.
00:09:29.280 Joining me now with analysis is attorney and founder and president of the Article 3 project,
00:09:33.960 Mike Davis. We wouldn't be celebrating America 250 if it weren't for a strong foundation set
00:09:41.300 by the framers. Hamilton built America's financial foundation on the principle of sound, stable
00:09:46.460 money, a principle later embodied by the gold standard. But we abandoned that discipline in
00:09:52.800 1971, infamously, and have since seen inflation erode the dollar's value. So what's the foundation
00:09:59.380 of your savings? Is it gold? Or is it something that can be shaken, disrupted, or devalued?
00:10:06.120 Birch Gold Group has been helping Americans solidify their savings with gold for the past 15
00:10:10.720 years, and they will help you convert an existing IRA or 401k into a tax sheltered IRA in gold.
00:10:18.080 Now you can do this in whole or in part. If you've been thinking about gold for a while,
00:10:22.020 but you want to hedge your bet, you could do it in part and see what it feels like to have
00:10:26.440 some diversification and not be totally dependent on the value of the dollar. Learning how gold
00:10:33.140 fits into your portfolio is easy. Just text my initials MK to the number 989898. You will receive
00:10:39.120 a free no-obligation info kit. They're not going to pressure you. These guys have an A-plus rating
00:10:43.780 with the Better Business Bureau, and they've got countless of five-star reviews. Consider having
00:10:48.680 Birch Gold help you build your foundation with gold, the gold standard. Text MK to the number
00:10:55.160 989898 today. And in another life, Mike, you used to do legal work for these committees,
00:11:01.520 so you're the perfect person to talk to about this. What did you make of his
00:11:04.960 repeated and just nonstop assertions of the fifth. Remember this about Tony Fauci. He funded
00:11:11.580 COVID's birth in the Wuhan lab with this dangerous gain of function research. He knew it was
00:11:18.580 dangerous. The COVID got out of the lab. It caused millions of deaths, trillions in lost
00:11:28.120 treasure. Years of our lives were destroyed, particularly young kids, their learning loss,
00:11:35.400 poor black kids, minorities who Democrats pretend to care about their lives were particularly 0.99
00:11:41.120 destroyed. They were subject to abuse and neglect, and they're already in terrible situations. And 0.68
00:11:47.460 this Tony Fauci monster said that if you dare to, he's the science and you can't question him
00:11:54.560 because he's the science. He canceled, he set out funding, he threatened other scientists,
00:12:00.640 other health professionals who dared to question his completely arbitrary science-free rules like
00:12:08.140 the mask mandate, the six-foot rule, these arbitrary rules that Tony Fauci made up that
00:12:13.440 just destroyed our lives. Our elderly, our grandparents, our parents died alone in nursing
00:12:20.680 homes. And he lied about it. He covered it up. He's a monster. He is responsible for the deaths
00:12:27.160 of millions and trillions lost and our lives destroyed. He's a monster. He got this pardon 1.00
00:12:33.120 from Biden because he's a monster and he needed a pardon because he's one of the worst criminals 1.00
00:12:38.260 in our history, a mass murderer. And what does he do today? Instead of coming forward and 0.95
00:12:45.080 testifying so Congress can address this so it never happens again. He claims that he has a
00:12:52.220 Fifth Amendment right. He does not have a Fifth Amendment right here because he was not subject
00:12:56.560 to criminal liability. He was not subject to criminal jeopardy because of that part. If he
00:13:01.860 testified truthfully today, he could not have been prosecuted. Yet, he tried to assert the Fifth
00:13:07.620 Amendment. He should be held in contempt. Senator Rand Paul, the chairman, is going to have a contempt
00:13:12.180 vote next week. Then it will go to the full Senate. It just needs to pass by a simple
00:13:17.380 majority, and the Trump Justice Department needs to prosecute this guy. In addition, or
00:13:22.220 alternatively, the Senate can go to district court and force Fauci to testify. In addition,
00:13:29.420 or alternatively, they can have the House Sergeant of Arms go arrest this guy. It hasn't happened
00:13:34.600 since 1934, but go arrest Tony Fauci, put him in the Capitol jail until he agrees to testify.
00:13:42.180 You state your opinion that he's a mass murderer. There may be some who are thinking that's too harsh. I'm not one of them, Mike, because there is good evidence that has never been proven entirely, but there is very good evidence that he started the pandemic, that it was his gain of function research that he was paying for, that he knew was dangerous being handled at an unsafe lab that led directly to the creation of this virus, something he's never allowed a full investigation of.
00:14:08.400 And we've never pursued as fully as we ought to.
00:14:11.700 And I do believe it's what motivated virtually every decision he made after that.
00:14:16.100 He did not want to be exposed as having funded that dangerous research, which very clearly
00:14:21.120 seems to have led to the entire pandemic worldwide, a million Americans dead alone, just just
00:14:26.800 here in the United States, not to mention all the damage and lives lost from his vaccine,
00:14:31.660 which he would not be honest about, which he would not force honest trials on, which
00:14:36.540 he told us was safe without knowing and so on.
00:14:39.240 We could be here all day when we talk about the lives, but I get it.
00:14:42.120 I understand.
00:14:42.580 No, it's actually worse, Megan, because not only did he fund this, this gain of function
00:14:47.020 research, this COVID and in the Wuhan lab, then he shut down the science.
00:14:53.060 He shut down alternative treatments.
00:14:55.000 He made, he caused the deaths of millions because he shut down alternative treatments
00:14:59.980 that treatments that could have saved people's lives.
00:15:02.480 he shut down and said that it that you that you can't do this it's not the science we know that's
00:15:08.060 not right like ivermectin he shut that down this that tony fauci is a monster and he must be held
00:15:13.560 accountable held accountable for mass murder how mike do you get at him though when he's still
00:15:21.480 exposed when it comes to state law now i can't think of a state law claim that's you know being
00:15:27.400 held over anthony fauci's head or even what it might potentially be but that wouldn't have been
00:15:31.760 in the joe biden pardon so isn't he just going to respond to when when you know this contempt
00:15:37.080 proceeding happens i was still exposed under state law claims and i was exposed for anything
00:15:42.120 i might say that day that republicans the evil republicans would say was false and therefore i
00:15:47.380 just decided not to answer anything well he can't do the part about the evil republicans would say
00:15:51.520 was false he wouldn't have fifth amendment protections for that because he's not he he has
00:15:55.760 the he has the part right but as for the state laws federal officers generally can't be charged
00:16:01.000 by states or foreign governments for performing their duties. But if he does argue that he could
00:16:06.280 be liable under state laws, then he's admitting that he acted outside of the scope of his federal
00:16:12.060 office when he did these things. And therefore, he would be subject to criminal prosecution by
00:16:16.380 these states. So go for it. I hope, look, we need to turn up the heat on this guy. We need to bring
00:16:21.960 charges against him by the Trump Justice Department. Make him present his Biden pardon.
00:16:27.360 That's what you have to do. The way it works is if you are pardoned, you present your pardon, your presidential pardon or a governor's pardon at your criminal trial as an affirmative defense. Make him do that. Maybe he's claiming the Fifth Amendment because he didn't accept Biden's pardon. Who knows? I don't know if he's ever said whether he accepted Biden's pardon.
00:16:48.500 If he doesn't accept the pardon, then he's not pardoned. So charge him for his crimes before the pardon, and then make him raise that defense. And then if it's, okay, I was pardoned and I did accept the pardon, then he could be charged with contempt of Congress and obstruction of a congressional investigation.
00:17:08.080 so you're saying if he accepted that pardon he absolutely has to answer questions about conduct
00:17:16.640 that is within the pardon because it's the same as when you give a witness immunity they can't
00:17:21.460 they can't in a court of law assert the fifth amendment as a bar to answering questions because
00:17:26.300 they've been given immunity that the jeopardy no longer hangs over them and therefore they
00:17:31.000 they must answer a court would order them to answer and you're saying it's exactly the same
00:17:35.200 here. Yes. And I would say this of Tony Fauci, or if his lawyers say, no, no, no, we're still
00:17:40.440 subject to liability by states, by local governments, by foreign governments, which
00:17:45.560 there are statutes that protect federal officers from that. But if he's saying that he's still
00:17:51.520 subject to that liability, then I would say to these states, to these local prosecutors,
00:17:56.000 these state AGs, these local prosecutors across America, start indicting Tony Fauci today.
00:18:01.140 Yes. Yes. Do it. Let like let's put that to the test and see him object and say, no, no, no, no. My behavior is not within the scope of your state law. I'm I'm protected as a federal officer and then have to go back to Rand Paul and answer on these immunity arguments.
00:18:18.520 Here is, I want to read to you what Alan Dershowitz, a friend of the program, said when we called him to ask what his take was.
00:18:25.540 He wrote, and let's not forget, Alan defended Trump in the first impeachment.
00:18:30.740 He said, if I were his lawyer, I would have told him to take the fifth.
00:18:34.320 This was a kangaroo court.
00:18:35.960 Rand Paul was out to get him and was trying to get evidence against him.
00:18:39.000 As hard as it is to take the fifth, because it makes it sound like you're guilty, I don't think his lawyer had any choice.
00:18:43.880 And then for him to throw the lawyer out of the proceeding really emphasized the kangaroo nature of it.
00:18:48.160 Whatever you think of Fauci, this is not a fair proceeding designed to really get at the subtleties of all these issues.
00:18:53.460 It was a gotcha.
00:18:54.760 We'll show the video of Rand throwing out his lawyer in one second.
00:18:57.920 But your response to that?
00:18:58.880 Look, I love Alan. I think he's very smart. But Congress has a constitutional duty here to make sure that we don't have another mad scientist like Tony Fauci, who causes a pandemic that kills millions of people, takes trillions of our treasure, takes three years, four years of our lives, destroys kids, destroys poor kids even worse.
00:19:22.420 I think Congress has an important and legitimate role here.
00:19:27.120 And Rand Paul was doing that, was performing those duties today as the chairman.
00:19:31.120 It's not you can make that argument about every congressional committee that you if you don't want to go testify that it's a kangaroo court.
00:19:38.560 And that just doesn't apply.
00:19:40.180 Remember, Steve Bannon and Peter Navarro went to jail for making that argument.
00:19:44.160 Mm hmm. What did you make of the I get that it's not a typical to see a person asserting the fifth, assert the fifth in response to every question like we've seen that happen many times.
00:19:55.420 But I really thought it was it was really stunning today. It was like, what color is your tie? He wouldn't answer. What did you make of the extreme lengths he went to on the fifth?
00:20:03.640 Well, this is where Fauci may have may have screwed himself in this testimony today is he gave an opening statement, right?
00:20:12.320 If you can't give an opening statement and make all your points and then claim the Fifth Amendment to questions, that's a waiver of your Fifth Amendment rights.
00:20:20.920 If you go in and make an opening statement on the substance like that.
00:20:24.440 So I think he's cooked on the Fifth Amendment in many different ways.
00:20:29.800 yeah i thought that was extraordinary too he did make statements sweeping statements about the
00:20:36.340 pandemic in that opening and then pretended the the subject of what the color of his tie was
00:20:43.080 was too sensitive for him to go there grand paul now is going to have this contempt proceeding
00:20:48.320 and who will be the arbiter though of that mike who gets to decide whether he's in contempt
00:20:53.040 well it would be the full senate it was a simple majority vote of the full senate then it gets
00:20:57.060 referred to the D.C. U.S. attorney, Judge Dean Impero, and she has to take it to a grand jury
00:21:02.440 by statutes. And then, or you can, again, there are two other routes. You can have the Senate
00:21:09.280 sue in district court in D.C. civilly sue and compel his testimony, or you can have the Senate
00:21:14.940 have the sergeant at arms go arrest him and put him in the Capitol jail until he agrees to testify.
00:21:20.000 And frankly, do all three things. First, do all three paths. Remember what, I want to flag this
00:21:25.520 Because remember, it came out that after Tony Fauci got like he got his COVID shots and then he got a blood clot in his lung.
00:21:34.760 Right. That same morning that that he found out that he got a blood clot in his lung, he went around with D.C. mayor, Mario Bowser, and was beating on the doors of these black residents of D.C., people who are probably correctly not not big fans of these vaccines because of the Tuskegee trials against the black community where they gave him syphilis and didn't treat it.
00:22:03.580 This this black resident of D.C. is pushing back and saying the question, the science is not there.
00:22:09.780 Tony Fauci is there with the D.C. mayor pushing this guy saying these covid shots are safe when Tony Fauci had a blood clot in his lung.
00:22:19.100 It's unbelievable. Right. Right after he gets the vaccines, of course, from Moderna.
00:22:23.180 And he doesn't he doesn't disclose that to anyone. We only know that thanks to these diaries.
00:22:28.040 And by the way, let me make this point about the diaries. And I make this point really fast.
00:22:32.620 These are not his personal diaries. These are his work notes on his work computer at NIH. These are government records. They're not his personal diaries. So this idea that Rand Paul grabbed his personal diaries and published his personal diaries is nonsense. They were on his work computer. He tried to look. They had to go find them because they were deleted, which is another issue of obstruction.
00:22:55.540 Wow. So it's like, you know, you're sitting at your your company and you're putting in your company day planner all your hopes and dreams about the next time Julia Roberts is going to call you.
00:23:08.400 You cannot then later say, oh, that was a personal diary. You put it on the company computer. Sorry, that was your bad.
00:23:14.480 Yes, it's not a personal diary. These were his work notes that are subject to the Freedom of Information Act.
00:23:20.560 These are government records. And he deleted them, just like he ordered people to delete
00:23:26.320 emails. This guy tried to cover he he committed crimes to try to make sure he never got caught
00:23:32.560 funding gain of function research and the Wuhan lab that mass murdered millions of people. 0.68
00:23:39.000 It's infuriating. And it's the reason why these Republicans continue to push,
00:23:43.960 even though the American public, I do think it's fair to say, has some PTSD around this whole thing.
00:23:48.680 You know, they just they don't want to be reminded of this nightmare.
00:23:51.640 But there we need to hold the people who did this to us accountable.
00:23:55.000 And he is top of the list.
00:23:57.360 Mike Davis, thank you.
00:23:58.320 Thank you.
00:23:59.680 Wow.
00:24:00.560 That moment that he was talking about with that with the black constituents of Washington,
00:24:04.760 D.C., it resulted in a very viral moment where the one guy confronted him here.
00:24:10.380 It is in SOT 10.
00:24:12.180 The people in America are not settled with the information that's been given to us right
00:24:17.960 now.
00:24:18.260 So I'm not going to be lining up, taking a shot on a vaccination for something that wasn't clear in the first place.
00:24:25.820 And then you all create a shot in miraculous time.
00:24:30.600 It takes years to create vaccination.
00:24:33.960 Well, it used to take years.
00:24:35.780 You know how many years we're invested in this approach?
00:24:41.000 About 20 years of science to get us to be able to do it.
00:24:44.380 not enough and nine months is definitely not enough for nobody to be taking no vaccination
00:24:49.240 that you all came up with when you start talking about incentivizing things to get people vaccinated
00:24:54.600 it's something else going on with that something else something else going on it is something
00:24:58.840 going on something else my campaign is about fear it's about inciting fear in people
00:25:05.380 that guy was one of the most brilliant to speak during the course of the pandemic it's just
00:25:10.700 common sense he knew on a gut level and he spoke truth to power as the left likes to say
00:25:15.640 and anthony fauci walked away um okay let's get to our panel it's nr day joining me now rich
00:25:21.140 lowry editor-in-chief of national review and charles cw cook senior writer for national review
00:25:25.460 and host of the charles cw cook podcast you can find all of their work and should
00:25:29.720 by becoming an nr plus subscriber today guys welcome back this is pretty remarkable it is
00:25:37.080 pretty remarkable. And let me just show you one other thing on that same tour around DC by Fauci
00:25:43.760 and the mayor Muriel Bowser, because this has made some headlines too. It's, this is, this was March
00:25:49.820 of 2023 and here's Fauci lamenting how difficult it is to get people on the right to submit to his
00:25:58.580 will. Sod 11. What are we going to do about those other states? Oh my God. They're going to keep the
00:26:05.060 outbreak smoldering in the country.
00:26:08.180 It's so crazy.
00:26:09.360 I mean, they're not doing it
00:26:11.500 because they say they don't want to do it.
00:26:13.320 They're Republicans.
00:26:14.240 They don't like to be told what to do.
00:26:16.180 And we've got to break that, you know, unpack that.
00:26:19.140 How you guys doing with vaccine?
00:26:22.900 I'm waiting for them to be able to.
00:26:25.040 Oh, you should get it first.
00:26:26.600 Okay, that way you won't give it to them.
00:26:29.020 I thought I would give it to them if I get it.
00:26:31.480 No, no, not at all.
00:26:33.560 In fact, we got to get you vaccinated so that if you were to get infected, you could pass it on to them.
00:26:38.980 So you're actually protecting your family by getting vaccinated.
00:26:43.040 Oh, my God, the lies, Rich, the lies.
00:26:47.200 Of course, the vaccine did not stop the transmission.
00:26:50.620 And just to hear him say it out loud is really kind of remarkable.
00:26:53.840 We've got to break that the will of the Republican voters who don't like to be told what to do.
00:26:59.400 By the way, I've never heard a better summation of what it means to be a Republican.
00:27:03.560 you know, if you had to say it in five words or less, that's a pretty good summary of where most
00:27:09.140 of us who are on the right side of the aisle are, especially around his edicts. So what do you make
00:27:13.300 of everything that's going on here? Well, Rand Paul's done a public service and releasing these
00:27:17.000 diaries. And I think maybe the foremost lie that's been exposed is when it emerged very quickly
00:27:22.280 during the pandemic and afterwards that the lockdowns went too far and especially the school
00:27:26.140 closures were a catastrophic mistake. Even people left to center began to admit that. Fauci started
00:27:31.780 saying, I never favor lockdowns. I never close to school. And here you have black and white in
00:27:38.840 these diaries. Bill de Blasio calls him. He advises him to shut down the schools. Chief
00:27:44.480 of Staff of Gavin Newsom calls him. He advises her to shut down the schools, to have California
00:27:49.260 shut down the school. So no, in some technical sense, and very often he relies on technicalities.
00:27:53.900 He didn't go to the schoolhouse door and place the padlock on there, but it was his advice that
00:28:00.340 was catalyzing all this, and then also in those same diary entries, you see the self-regard.
00:28:05.300 He refers to his, based on my TV appearances, based on my multiple TV appearances yesterday,
00:28:10.520 New York City is going to close their schools.
00:28:12.580 So he was the motive force behind a lot of this folly.
00:28:16.600 And that guy in the stoop who went viral at the time, it's still amazing to hear him
00:28:21.320 talking back to Fauci that way, a lot of people thought that way.
00:28:25.920 At that time, more people think that way now.
00:28:29.020 that's because of Anthony Fauci. So he's undermined what he cared about most or one of the things he
00:28:34.140 was supposed to care about most, the credibility of public health authorities. And the main reason
00:28:39.220 RFK Jr. is the head of the HHS right now and released these to Rand Paul, who made them public
00:28:45.500 is because of the way Fauci handled the pandemic and his arrogance and high handedness and
00:28:51.420 dishonesty. You point out the one example of him, you know, I show me, show me the school that I
00:28:58.220 closed. Never, never won. And then we see his private diary again, I'm done on his public
00:29:03.240 workspace. I'm responsible for getting the schools closed in New York and in L.A. I mean,
00:29:09.260 it's directly opposed. It would be a permissible impeachment if you had him on the stand in a
00:29:16.460 court of law. You know that no one could object that it's an improper impeachment. It is exactly
00:29:21.180 the opposite of what he said publicly behind the scenes. He was bragging about having done it.
00:29:27.580 But, you know, when cross-examined by Congress, no, never show me this goal, never won.
00:29:33.040 Of course, it wasn't true.
00:29:34.580 And here's another one.
00:29:35.600 I heard Jim Garrity lamenting that he wasn't able to find this exact soundbite of Fauci blaming the coronavirus on the wet market.
00:29:45.260 Because, of course, Garrity did a great job for National Review reporting on all the COVID excesses and lies we were being told in real time.
00:29:52.760 But we found that, too, in Fauci's notes where he said it doesn't look like it came from the it says it now appears that using the data, the first infection was in early December and was not connected to the market, was not connected to the market.
00:30:08.600 He wrote that on January 26th, 2020, and he wrote that right before he made this appearance
00:30:17.460 on the JAMA network and said this.
00:30:21.480 Watch this.
00:30:22.280 It's SOT 9.
00:30:25.200 And now in the novel coronavirus, we don't know exactly what that animal was, but some 0.90
00:30:32.820 animal probably in a wet market where they bring in a variety of different types of wild game and
00:30:40.820 people sacrifice them particularly around holidays like the lunar new year it is totally not
00:30:47.980 surprising that you're seeing the facilitation of this jump from the animal species to the human
00:30:54.760 i mean charles we could be here all day if we just wanted to play all the contradictions between what
00:31:02.600 he wrote privately and what he said publicly and now we finally get to the point where some senators
00:31:09.020 are asking for actual accountability and an explanation for why he was contradicting what
00:31:17.280 he actually felt over and over and over in a matter of public health that went to life and death
00:31:21.980 and we get the insult the final insult of i refuse to answer from the man who's been pardoned
00:31:29.280 for it all. Yeah, so I don't agree with Alan Dershowitz that this is a kangaroo court. This
00:31:37.960 is the United States Senate. I do think that if I were Anthony Fauci's lawyer, I would have advised
00:31:46.420 him to take the fifth as well, asked not to create new perjury charges, which of course would not be
00:31:52.880 covered by the pardon that he was given. He's not honest. And the diary confirms that. Now,
00:32:03.300 I think some of the criticism of the vaccine is wrong. And as you know, I'm not a fan of RFK Jr.,
00:32:11.140 who I think is a kook. I think we've gone too far in the other direction, although perhaps that was 1.00
00:32:15.160 inevitable. But the clip you played is a perfect example of what is wrong with Anthony Fauci.
00:32:21.740 Anthony Fauci likes to present himself as being the science, the source of truth, an independent
00:32:29.520 and unimpeachable floating expert within our system who is unsullied and uncorrupted by
00:32:37.380 politics. But Anthony Fauci did throughout COVID exactly what the sort of politicians
00:32:44.240 he disdains would have done, which is say whatever it took at any given moment to get
00:32:49.460 people to do what he wanted, even if he knew it was untrue. The vaccine, which was very effective
00:32:55.720 in many ways and saved lives, in my view, did not prevent the transmission of COVID. But Fauci said
00:33:03.780 over and over again, as did many other people, that it did. That was a lie. Now, why did he say
00:33:08.240 that? He said that because he wanted people to take it. The six feet, was it, separation
00:33:15.260 that we were all subjected to didn't do anything they went with it anyway and time and time again
00:33:23.180 they worked out what they thought they had to say in order to get people to behave differently
00:33:28.240 and they said it now in a war that sort of behavior can be defensible but you can't claim
00:33:35.580 that you're anything other than a consequentialist propagandist who's trying to deceive people for
00:33:40.900 what you think is their own good. But that's not how Fauci sees himself. So he's always been somebody
00:33:45.880 who is willing to say whatever it takes to get people to do what he wants them
00:33:50.120 to do. And the diaries, as if it wasn't already, make that abundantly clear, among other things.
00:33:56.980 Let me stick with you on this, Charlie, because we've talked over the years about conspiracies
00:34:02.000 in America. And neither you, nor I, nor Rich, believe, for example, that the 2020 election
00:34:09.680 was stolen um okay but this this guy these lies at this level are exactly why people have become
00:34:21.540 so suspicious of government narratives yeah and believe that there are bad actors in the
00:34:27.620 government who wish to control us and will tell massive hugely consequential lies to do it yeah
00:34:35.280 and to protect themselves because Fauci clearly believed that he was implicated by the Wuhan lab
00:34:40.760 and therefore he wanted to make it seem as if the COVID virus came from bats and funny one of my
00:34:50.160 colleagues watching this hearing tweeted out bat got your tongue which I thought was a perfect
00:34:56.120 summary of the whole thing the one thing I do find interesting I must say is Trump gets absolutely
00:35:03.500 no blame here when, of course, he was the president at the time and was very much enthusiastic about
00:35:10.420 the vaccine. I like that about Trump. I actually think this is something in Trump's favor. I think
00:35:13.900 there is no other person in probably the history of the United States who could have got the
00:35:17.700 vaccine done as fast as Trump did because he just doesn't care about niceties. But if you don't like
00:35:21.800 the vaccine, maybe you should be more cross with Trump. But you're right. I mean, look, this is a
00:35:25.760 guy who was part of the permanent bureaucracy. You can call it the swamp or the deep state if
00:35:31.720 you like. It's a problem. This is somebody who exhibited all of the arrogance that you expect
00:35:36.960 from a person who belongs to an institution that has been described as being the fourth branch of
00:35:42.680 government or independent within our system, which means unaccountable. This is a person who was
00:35:48.700 willing to lie brazenly to change the behavior of free people. So yeah, I'm with you. I think this
00:35:56.860 is a good example of problems within our government where I get off that boat I'm not
00:36:02.100 saying you don't where I get off that is I don't think replacing that problem with other conspiracy
00:36:08.320 theories or other people who are susceptible to conspiracy theories is the right way of doing it
00:36:12.860 but the public health authorities wrote their own suicide note here this was not Americans being
00:36:19.880 recalcitrant this is not americans being uneducated it's not americans being selfish
00:36:25.960 the public health authorities disgrace themselves and it's not a coincidence i think that around the
00:36:31.560 same time this was happening the same people suddenly decided that men could become women
00:36:36.340 and rewrote all of the medicine all of the understanding of our biology that they had
00:36:42.240 been promulgating for thousands of years on the fly and then expected us not to notice so over the
00:36:47.840 the same 10 year period, those people, uh, killed themselves in the public estimation and
00:36:53.140 deservedly. So. Yeah. At the same time, we're telling us that the virus would know to skip
00:36:58.780 the BLM protesters. Like there was a, the public health emergency would somehow allow those kinds 1.00
00:37:04.220 of protests, but none others. Uh, I mean, it was just, you know, people ask how we got here,
00:37:09.540 you know, we're like, everything's being questioned. This is how we got here. I really
00:37:12.920 I don't have a lot of tolerance for, you know, blaming regular American citizens who are busy
00:37:18.820 living their lives, who have gotten more conspiratorial in a way they definitely
00:37:22.420 wouldn't have been 10 years ago. I don't blame them at all. I blame Dr. Anthony Fauci and the
00:37:28.540 others who facilitated and enabled him rich, including the media. Before we get to them,
00:37:33.720 though, let me let me just spend one more minute on RFK, who I do not think is a kook. He's odd 1.00
00:37:40.840 for sure. He's like picking up snakes that are fighting and like getting bitten by them and
00:37:45.960 throwing it like it. So he is a strange dude in a lot of ways. But I think he's brilliant and he's
00:37:50.760 fearless. But I know we disagree. In any event, he did make a valid point on with Laura Ingram
00:37:55.860 last night when he said it. I was like, what? I hadn't seen this piece of the diaries. And we did
00:38:02.680 go back and check, same as we did when he came on our show for the first time when he had written
00:38:06.340 the real truth about anthony fauci and nobody would platform him and we did and we fact checked
00:38:11.160 him forward and backward on that book and you know it was a it was an important interview to his
00:38:15.740 re-emergence as a public figure um but he was right this is in the fauci diaries and then
00:38:22.520 right after we found the original entry confirming it it was deleted from the internet we believe
00:38:29.260 most likely because fauci complained that it was private medical information but it's out there
00:38:34.000 And we're going to talk about it. Here he is on Laura Ingraham yesterday, SOT 6.
00:38:41.660 He lied about masks. He lied about social distancing. He lied about the transmission.
00:38:46.640 He lied about natural immunity. He lied about the capacity, as you just said, of the vaccine to prevent infection.
00:38:55.000 he got vaccinated a very very public press conference in january of 2020 and then
00:39:05.020 five months later he had and this is the first time that we knew this from the diary he had a
00:39:11.100 pulmonary infarction which is one of the adverse events that nih cdc and fda said are expected
00:39:20.040 from the vaccine. He never told anybody. He got treated for it privately by the best doctors in
00:39:26.120 America. At the same time, he was telling everybody that that was not an adverse.
00:39:31.320 So he found out that he had a pulmonary infarction after the vaccines in June of 2021,
00:39:36.740 after he'd gotten double doses from Moderna. He found that out in June of 2021. We know from his
00:39:41.840 private diary. Well, it has the date June 19th, horrible roller coaster day. He talked about his
00:39:47.620 cancer scare that turned out to be not real. And then wrote, in addition, I had a pulmonary
00:39:52.300 infarction in the right lowest segment that was definite. He goes on to say the doctor agreed it
00:39:59.640 was more likely inflammatory and that the only definite thing on the film was the pulmonary
00:40:03.480 infarction. And he recommended a follow-up CT scan in three months and to begin anticoagulation
00:40:10.420 immediately with Eliquis, which by the way, is an oral anticoagulant medication used to prevent
00:40:16.060 treat dangerous blood clots. So this was six months after his second Moderna shot. This was
00:40:24.440 not publicized. And we don't have the exact date that he was arguing with that man in Washington,
00:40:30.400 D.C., but we know it was in June of 2021. We know it was in June. So there is a very real possibility
00:40:36.780 that Anthony Fauci knew he'd suffered a pulmonary infarction after his double dose of Moderna and
00:40:44.060 still told that guy his claims should be dismissed. It's perfectly safe. You know, this is what they
00:40:49.520 were doing, Rich. This is this is why there's there's not just PTSD. There's anger. There's
00:40:55.520 anger seeing this guy celebrated by Julia Roberts and Chris Cuomo and Brian Stelter and all the
00:41:03.340 others on MSNBC and all the stars and all that. Kerry Kennedy is out there defending him. And so
00:41:09.820 there's anger at those people, too, for enabling this guy who we believe actively hurt the country.
00:41:17.540 Yeah, well, they never permitted any sense of uncertainty. Right. So they'd say masks are going
00:41:22.980 to save you from getting infected from the virus. Right. And in the media, their headlines, a study
00:41:27.640 shows it's going to happen. Then you look at the underlying study. Right. And it would say if you
00:41:32.280 get a perfect N95 mask and you get weeks of training on how to apply this and wear this
00:41:38.820 and you change it every two to three hours in a clinical setting, you know, it will reduce your
00:41:44.000 risk of infection 50%, right? And that'd be laundered into masks work. And every school
00:41:49.620 child in America has to wear a Spider-Man mask. It doesn't even fit. That's been slobbered over.
00:41:54.300 And he's not going to wear half the time at school anyway. But everyone has to do that
00:41:58.020 because it's social control. We can't admit that actually, no, this isn't going to work.
00:42:02.580 And it works in a lab setting. It was all based on social control that couldn't admit
00:42:07.920 any uncertainty. And someone who's truly scientifically minded, say, on the debate
00:42:13.280 of a lab leak theory would have gone out there every day and said, you know, I think it's probably
00:42:17.220 naturally occurring, but I don't know for certain. Let's wait for the facts. Reasonable people think
00:42:23.240 it's from the lab. Let's see. That's not what he did, even though, you know, in January, on January
00:42:28.240 26th and February 1st, according to his own diary, he was had his own doubts that it was naturally
00:42:34.140 occurring or came from the wet market and heard from very smart other scientists who believe it
00:42:38.640 became came from the lab and he didn't do that because he wanted to support the narrative
00:42:42.700 and the narrative was it couldn't be from the lab because if you believe that was racist but it's
00:42:47.200 not racist by the way to believe that chinese people just like eating bats that have been 0.68
00:42:51.120 crapped on by pangolins you know in in these fetid markets that that was fine that was not 0.75
00:42:55.780 racist but thinking it's a a lab run by this corrupt government might have been the source 0.82
00:43:00.220 You can't say that because it's racist.
00:43:02.480 Also it's just branded as a conspiracy theory.
00:43:04.840 I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but it doesn't mean that groups of people don't sometimes
00:43:08.420 conspire to do things wrong, especially communist dictatorships.
00:43:12.100 And then we have, and this is where Rand Paul gets really credit for having this bone in
00:43:16.140 his mouth and just not in his teeth and not letting go, he was funding the Wuhan lab.
00:43:22.980 Now there's a technical dispute whether it was gain of function research or not under
00:43:28.260 the technical government definition but we know it was why why fund anything in china it would be
00:43:34.640 like funding nuclear power in the soviet union on the expectation if something goes wrong the
00:43:40.640 soviet government's gonna be transparent about it and responsible about it it was insane and
00:43:45.700 he's never fully taken responsibility for that and never ever will the the racism claim instead
00:43:52.100 gone yeah go ahead i was gonna say the race well i was just gonna say this charlie and i know you
00:43:56.340 guys cover this too i'll put this into the record then then you take it this is just one of the
00:44:02.540 dire entries he was making while he was figuring out how to control the pesky republicans who
00:44:08.700 don't like to be controlled by people and they had to he had to break them like by what kicking
00:44:13.100 them out of the military if they won't take it making them all lose their jobs if they won't
00:44:18.220 take it uh punishing kids that you can't go to college young teenage men who are the ones most
00:44:24.620 susceptible to myocarditis, which can be and has been life-threatening and a killer in some
00:44:31.500 instances for these young men. Was that breaking them? Was that breaking the spirit of these pesky
00:44:37.100 Republicans? At the same time he was pushing all of that, Charles, he was entering the following
00:44:43.280 in his little diary. Big front page article about me in the Washington Post. Very flattering.
00:44:49.880 my national and international fame is explosive and really unimaginable it is not hyperbole to
00:44:57.220 say that today i am the most famous and talked about person in the country and one of the most
00:45:02.880 recognizable persons in the world i know you guys i've known you guys for a long time you're not
00:45:09.320 capable of that level of vanity you are not capable it wouldn't matter what was done or to
00:45:15.120 you or written about you or honors you had received, you're not capable of it.
00:45:20.400 It's astonishing. I mean, he came across in that way. And this confirms what we knew. I was just
00:45:28.560 going to say, Rich pointed out that it was always inexplicable, that it was somehow more racist to
00:45:34.380 think that it came out of a lab than it came out of a wet market. But the discrediting of the public
00:45:41.020 health authorities during COVID was perhaps second to the discrediting of the notion of racism,
00:45:46.820 which was already on its last legs, is if you go through the history, the people who shout
00:45:53.500 racist at everyone did so at various points in completely contradictory ways. If you remember
00:45:58.580 the early days, the first couple of weeks of it, Nancy Pelosi and others in California were saying
00:46:04.120 it was racist to be worried about the COVID virus, and that it would lead to hatred of Asians.
00:46:12.900 And they went out in California into Chinatown and various parades and made a big spectacle of
00:46:19.400 appearing in public to prevent this racism that was apparently being thrown, I assume, from the
00:46:27.780 right in fear of COVID. Then when they decided that COVID was important, it was racist to be
00:46:33.940 skeptical of government actions during COVID because you were hurting the most vulnerable
00:46:39.780 among us. And as we know from New York Times headlines, if you are hurting people who are
00:46:44.920 the most vulnerable among us, they're always disproportionately whatever minorities are in vote
00:46:49.000 at the moment. But then when the BLM protests broke out and they wanted people to go into the 0.81
00:46:55.260 streets, they said, oh, it's fine. As you said earlier, Megan, it's fine now to go out. And in
00:47:00.560 fact, it would be racist to stop people from congregating and breathing all over each other
00:47:05.580 and spreading the COVID virus. So they had three or four different working definitions of racist.
00:47:11.300 And it just goes to show you how accustomed they were to saying words, science, racist,
00:47:18.480 or what you will, and having people fall into line. And when they didn't, you get the reaction
00:47:23.940 you saw from Fauci, who's complaining about Republicans being unwilling to do what he
00:47:29.280 wanted. It really was the most bizarre time. It's sometimes because I don't want to remember. I
00:47:34.560 forget that all of this happens. And then you watch the clips and you're astonished by the
00:47:38.940 crazy couple of years we had. And Megan, you talked about the anger and it's because it's
00:47:43.600 so personal for so many people. And some of these policies were inhumane. My worst memory of the
00:47:47.900 pandemic, my mom was in an assisted living facility, had Alzheimer's, very frail, very old.
00:47:54.180 So, you know, you're on tenterhooks the whole time. So I get that call. Her oxygen levels are
00:47:58.860 depleted. We're sending her to the hospital. I was like, okay, that's it. I'll never see her
00:48:02.400 again. That's it. So I rushed to this place about 15 minutes away, drive. There's an ambulance out
00:48:06.940 front. Like, thank God I made it in time. Soon as I park and walk to the front, the ambulance
00:48:11.440 pulls around the back because it's leaving. And I know she's in there. So I stand in front of the
00:48:15.800 ambulance when it comes back to the front where I am. I just, hey, hey, stop. My mom's in the back.
00:48:19.860 I think my mom's in the back. Can you just open it up so I can see her? No, no. Like be a human
00:48:25.220 being just to open this could be the last time I see open the back no can't do it and drives off
00:48:31.100 so that you know I sat weeping on the curve it was terrible and I thought that that's it I was
00:48:37.100 very lucky because for some reason the virus just didn't really affect her she's back home in the
00:48:41.240 place you know two days later she died about a year later I'm holding her hand but that makes
00:48:45.900 all the difference in the world so that that's a relatively happy ending for me but for many many
00:48:50.360 people there wasn't a happy ending and it was a version of that guy in the ambulance who's
00:48:54.540 following the procedures, health and safety, mate, and all the rest of it, driving off with
00:48:58.660 their loved one. Oh, my God, Rich, that's a horrifying story. And yes, there are so many
00:49:03.700 Americans who have similar, you know, I mean, Janice Dean, who lost both of her in-laws,
00:49:09.340 Sean Newman, his husband, both killed, I think, by Chris Cuomo. Not Chris Cuomo, Andrew Cuomo,
00:49:15.980 the governor of New York, who was warned by the nurses in the nursing homes, don't do this,
00:49:21.860 when he mandated that they take COVID positive patients and not test, they said, don't do this.
00:49:27.200 This actually is the most vulnerable population. You do not want to mandate this. You will get
00:49:32.780 elderly, vulnerable New Yorkers killed. And he overruled them. Now he wants to revisit it like, 0.97
00:49:38.300 oh, well, we were all confused. It was a difficult time. It was a tough virus. No,
00:49:41.440 no, no, no, no, no, no. The nurses knew you overruled them. Her in-laws are dead because 0.96
00:49:46.560 of you. There's millions of Americans with that same story. And that's why there are images like
00:49:52.520 this one, which we're going to put on the board of the staffs inside hospitals. Here's the nursing
00:49:59.380 staff holding up signs that read, he is at peace. We are so sorry. As lovers, husbands, wives had to
00:50:09.500 say goodbye to their spouses of 70 years through plexiglass or actual glass because of Anthony
00:50:18.640 Fauci, because of his lies, his influence, his vainglorious nature, and his unwillingness to
00:50:24.800 wrestle with the truth, even if it hurt him. Rich and Charlie, stay with us. Don't go away.

00:51:54.540 Q&A's with yours truly behind the scenes. You'll get to meet some of our producers and more.
00:52:00.820 And beginning tomorrow, we will release the first episode of our MK Tour documentary,
00:52:06.680 giving you the untold story of what happened behind the scenes on our tour last year. This is,
00:52:12.800 again, this is not just about, oh, we went on tour, we met a lot of great people, which we did,
00:52:16.900 and that is in there. But there was a lot happening within the conservative movement
00:52:21.120 at the time we did this tour and we had all of the players right at the heart of it on camera
00:52:26.820 getting really candid with us about themselves their relationships their thoughts on the country
00:52:33.560 and where this was going and I'm there too predicting and opining in ways that I mean
00:52:39.360 we'll see whether any of them turned out to be true you tune in and find out for yourself
00:52:43.680 but it's not just about the tour it's also about my life before and after the tour in some ways
00:52:51.000 and we are going to talk about a situation i've never talked about before um something happened
00:52:59.020 last year right after charlie died uh you may remember that he and i were supposed to go
00:53:05.640 on tour together because he was on tour of course that stop at uvu was his first tour
00:53:11.220 stop we had actually been in discussions with his team about me possibly joining him at that stop
00:53:17.240 It was just so eerie. But ultimately, we settled on my going to, I think, the third stop on his
00:53:23.600 tour, which was Virginia Tech. And we were sat and booked to do that on the day he was killed.
00:53:29.780 We were shocked to learn Turning Point was going to go through with the tour and also happy.
00:53:36.480 But it was full of tension for those of us who did it. Michael Knowles did one at Minnesota.
00:53:42.880 Doug, Glenn Beck did, I did, Tucker did, and so on. Of course, because the whole environment
00:53:47.560 changed after Charlie was murdered. Everyone had to give thought to, do I appear in a public place?
00:53:54.740 What if I've received death threats? Do I need to take them much more serious now? Because
00:53:59.020 one's been acted on, you know, I mean, just the whole time was very fraught. And we had just
00:54:05.280 announced, of course, that I was going to be doing this tour. And there was the question of whether
00:54:09.720 we should so our great producer jake whitman who does a beautiful job on these documentaries i
00:54:16.300 mean he's the one who did the megan with love megan parody and the blonde origin parody he's
00:54:21.280 very talented and he and we have been working on these four episodes for the better part of a year
00:54:28.000 now i really think you're going to find this very substantive and hopefully enriching and telling
00:54:35.240 about the show, the guests who come on it,
00:54:39.820 including my two guests today,
00:54:41.880 and some of the other faces and names
00:54:45.260 that you've come to know and love or hate,
00:54:48.060 depending on your opinion, over the years.
00:54:50.260 But here's a preview in this soundbite
00:54:52.580 of that threat situation I was just telling you about
00:54:56.520 that I have never spoken of publicly before.
00:55:01.080 Protesters gathered outside of the venue.
00:55:03.120 I got into the car to go to the plane and Abby texted me saying stand down like hold on before
00:55:14.320 you you come and I was like what happened there was a threat that had been faxed that was really
00:55:19.800 nasty and it was very specific which is scary especially 10 days after a child's assassination
00:55:25.520 I said send it to me and she said MK I don't think you should read it you know it's being handled
00:55:32.000 and I said something I've never said to Abby before.
00:55:36.220 Don't make me ask twice.
00:55:37.580 So I forwarded along and we hung up the phone. 0.99
00:55:42.660 I start seeing a little bit of it and I'm like, holy shit. 0.95
00:55:48.180 It was faxed to Virginia Tech. 0.93
00:55:50.440 We're due to leave in 45 minutes.
00:55:52.380 This is serious.
00:55:53.400 They know details.
00:55:54.800 It's pretty descriptive.
00:55:56.840 They kind of know the location.
00:55:58.100 and it was kind of the same threat that killed Charlie.
00:56:02.600 Of course, I've been very outspoken on this.
00:56:04.700 So you do have to worry.
00:56:06.940 When we had the first indication that the killer was motivated
00:56:10.880 by something related to Charlie's stance on a trans issue,
00:56:14.260 the next day I opened my show by saying,
00:56:17.860 by the way,
00:56:19.540 it'll be many of us on the right who will not be silenced
00:56:22.640 and who will make it our mission now to continue saying
00:56:25.560 all the things that you thought you silenced with that bullet.
00:56:30.160 And guess what?
00:56:31.420 You can't take us all out.
00:56:33.280 We have to keep saying the truth.
00:56:35.080 She called me back and said,
00:56:37.320 I'm going.
00:56:38.240 This isn't great,
00:56:39.440 but this sounds like somebody who's trying to shut down the event.
00:56:42.240 And the answer's no.
00:56:43.580 We're going.
00:56:45.300 Miss Megyn Kelly.
00:56:48.400 And look, the first couple of minutes I was on stage,
00:56:51.040 I did feel exposed.
00:56:55.560 so much of you so many of you were there with us uh in our various tour stops and
00:57:04.680 we so appreciated being able to meet you and glad hand and actually put faces with
00:57:09.880 you know my idea of who's watching the show and in some cases names and backstories
00:57:15.960 and anyway we would love to reconnect with you so it's mk members only you can sign up now you
00:57:22.100 just click join at the Megan Kelly YouTube channel, where hopefully you're already a
00:57:27.100 subscriber. And we're back now with Rich and Charlie from National Review, both of whom came
00:57:32.320 with us on the tour and did a great job. And honestly, it was an act of courage for you guys
00:57:37.400 to come to because it was a fraught time. You know, I think much closer to Charlie's death,
00:57:41.140 everyone had to worry a bit about, is it safe? Is this a new normal now? You know, is our pundits
00:57:47.760 now going to be routinely shot at or attacked or killed for having the wrong opinions and it's also
00:57:56.120 been like a fallacy since then rich that it's both sides you know we both sides have to worry about
00:58:02.140 it's like oh come on you know yes you could find an instance in history where and even the past
00:58:07.740 10 years where our democrats been on the receiving end of the threat or killed but the vast majority
00:58:12.140 of the shooters who are out there are people who are motivated by these left wing causes.
00:58:18.280 We've seen that time and time again, whether it's a trans person, et cetera, or the people
00:58:23.660 who murdered Luigi and Charlie as accused.
00:58:26.880 And so it's just, you know, it's, it's been a lot.
00:58:29.980 I think the conservative movement's gone through a lot in the past 12 months in particular.
00:58:33.660 Yeah.
00:58:33.680 You said, we'll find out whether some of your predictions came true that when we see the
00:58:36.460 documentary, one of mine that thankfully didn't, I remember being on with you in that, that
00:58:41.000 horrible day. One prediction I made is this is going to change everything. It's just going to
00:58:44.940 have less debate, less public appearances, and there's more security, yes, but people are still
00:58:50.540 out there. I think that's heartening and a very good thing. Your reaction to that threat was
00:58:55.120 exactly the right one. This is meant to shut us down. No, we're not going to be silenced. There's
00:58:59.580 no way to shut us up. I think that's fantastic. The left has a deep ideological affiliation with
00:59:08.240 revolutionary violence, or at least part of it does, going back to the French Revolution. And
00:59:12.280 it shows up in polling. It shows up in statements. They don't want to admit it. The media won't admit
00:59:18.140 it. But it's really built in a deep way into their DNA. It's such a strange contradiction,
00:59:26.460 if you think about it, Charlie, that you've got this group of people who will gun down,
00:59:30.460 not group of people, but from whom one or two emerge here and there every year,
00:59:35.880 who will gun down children in a church of a of a Catholic school who will gun down the United
00:59:46.760 Health Care CEO and then be celebrated by their fellow leftists who will allegedly kill Charlie
00:59:52.880 and then be celebrated by their fellow leftists and yet be so aligned with and crippled by
00:59:59.560 safetyism in their day to day lives. You know, I've got 50,000 disorders and I can't go to work
01:00:05.240 and I can't go to school and I can't handle anything 0.86
01:00:07.700 and you can't give me that DWI certificate
01:00:09.720 because I have generational trauma
01:00:12.060 dating back five generations to somebody I've never met.
01:00:14.720 You know, like, it's just the same group of people.
01:00:17.680 Well, it does sound odd,
01:00:19.200 but I think at root is a difference in philosophy
01:00:25.320 that does stem back to the French Revolution, 0.54
01:00:28.520 and Richie's right.
01:00:29.560 You either, if you're a revolutionary,
01:00:32.640 believe that everything needs to go
01:00:34.740 or that everything needs to be restored.
01:00:38.740 Those do seem to be the two models.
01:00:40.300 And the American Revolution was a little bit more complicated
01:00:45.780 than everything needs to be restored.
01:00:48.100 But it was a grateful revolution in that the founders were very much enamored
01:00:55.180 with what they considered to be their birthright
01:00:57.440 and various people within British history.
01:01:00.680 And the French revolutionaries weren't.
01:01:02.460 They hated the king.
01:01:04.540 They hated the social structures in France, and they even hated things like the clock and the calendar, which they tried to change because they thought they were irrational.
01:01:16.600 Now, again, oversimplification, and of course, most people who disagree with me politically don't want to hurt anyone.
01:01:21.520 But the sort of Luigi Mangione, you mentioned him, approach is a French revolutionary approach.
01:01:31.220 he believed that the healthcare system was immoral, that it hurt people, and that it was
01:01:41.880 less of a crime to kill and maim and tear it down than it would be to preserve it and perhaps change
01:01:50.640 it more modestly. So yeah, they are obsessed with safetyism. But if things get in the way of
01:01:56.180 safetyism, the first instinct of the sort of person who's going to behave like that is to kill those
01:02:02.240 who are a threat to safetyism, which does sound a bit odd, but it does make sense once you get
01:02:06.500 into their mindset. Once again, of course, most people aren't like this. Unfortunately, the
01:02:11.700 handful of people who are do at present seem to belong to the same movement.
01:02:16.960 Yeah. Well, speaking of the French Revolution,
01:02:20.140 One of the catalysts was the rules for thee, but not for me type attitude.
01:02:28.000 And that relates to our first segment as well, the COVID thing.
01:02:33.200 Because one of the things we learned, I want to move on to other subjects, but I do have to say this about the COVID thing.
01:02:37.620 One of the things that's so galling about the whole thing is you see how chummy Anthony Fauci was with the media.
01:02:43.680 You know, they were all texting him.
01:02:44.900 And you guys and I are in the media, and it's not unusual to text somebody who's been on your show or who's given you an interview for your article and say, great job, thanks a lot, and have some sort of chummy remark.
01:02:55.660 That is not unusual.
01:02:56.520 That's actually par for the course in maintaining relationships.
01:02:58.900 But these are over and above.
01:03:02.700 And the repeated dinners with Jake Tapper and his wife, while he was the most controversial man in America, not Jake Anthony Fauci, you're playing with fire when you're doing that as Jake Tapper.
01:03:14.900 And you're sending him chummy remarks about how Laura Ingram shouldn't have gone to Dartmouth and you're not proud of her.
01:03:20.020 Like, what?
01:03:21.200 And at the same time, we now know that he was having dinner with Jake Tapper and his wife, Anthony Fauci.
01:03:27.980 He he was he had canceled Thanksgiving.
01:03:32.200 Sacrifice Thanksgiving.
01:03:33.420 Somebody just married the timing.
01:03:35.200 It was 10 days after he had told us all not to have Thanksgiving with our family and friends that he went over to Jake Tapper's house and had dinner with him.
01:03:45.540 Like the rules for thee, but not for me.
01:03:48.640 And by the way, Jake Tapper has not yet spoken to this and really should.
01:03:52.640 Yeah, there's also a great entry where I think the French embassy, everyone was honoring Anthony Fauci.
01:03:57.520 I think the French embassy wanted to do it.
01:03:59.060 And there's a diary entry there.
01:04:00.600 I think I'm going to maybe cancel on this one because I don't want to go through what I did last night.
01:04:04.700 Because he was at some other event, the gala being honored, and it worried that somehow he'd gotten the virus, which I guess would be a bad look for him.
01:04:12.820 But he was living the life, right?
01:04:14.460 And he was enjoying it.
01:04:15.580 And what you were saying earlier about Charlie and I wouldn't be affected by international fame.
01:04:19.500 I don't know.
01:04:19.860 Maybe we would.
01:04:20.440 You can try us, right?
01:04:21.560 We could run an experiment.
01:04:23.120 You would never write a tweet like that.
01:04:24.700 Not a tweet, but the Rich Lowry Diary would never read that way.
01:04:30.120 I know this.
01:04:30.860 it also i'll never i'll never write a diary entry but it's natural to have your head turned a little
01:04:36.640 bit but his head was turned fully around like an owl or something you know that another like a
01:04:41.880 like an exorcist yeah like julia roberts sent me flowers today and then the next line is scott
01:04:47.060 atlas still causing trouble with this herd immunity theory i mean which is if you want to get fouchy
01:04:52.060 in two sentences i think that would be it atlas ended up being right and and what he was saying
01:04:57.460 during the parents yeah but into the adulation yeah the other part of this rich is it says
01:05:04.520 something about the sort of people that anthony fauci hangs around with because of course it's
01:05:09.560 human to to take newfound fame and perhaps become inflated by it but the thing is if i started doing
01:05:17.580 that my wife would laugh at me yes yes my friends would you would laugh at me rich i mean you would
01:05:22.880 just laugh i'm just surrounded by people who would think that it was ridiculous and would
01:05:27.360 immediately start making cutting comments and bring me right back down to earth so the fact
01:05:32.080 that he wasn't surrounded by people who sort of said give me a break mate is is actually telling
01:05:37.360 in and of itself yeah and apparently just i think it's very funny because i've been a lifelong
01:05:41.560 journal keeper and if you were ever to get your hands on my journals you would see self-flagellation
01:05:46.440 page after page after page like imposter syndrome and all of that there isn't a page in there that's
01:05:52.500 like, I have become incredibly famous and people know me world. Never, never. It's like, oh my
01:05:58.860 God, everything's going to collapse tomorrow. I'm sure it will. Like, I can't believe I'm here. I'm
01:06:02.820 sure somebody else deserves this more than I do. Like, whatever. Not that that's great either,
01:06:06.500 but I'm just saying most people are not this excited about basking in their own perceived
01:06:13.760 glory. They have some modicum of humility thanks to their parents or God or their understanding of
01:06:20.500 their actual place in humanity that they would never engage in such an exercise the fact that
01:06:25.500 he did tells us so much about a little bit of guilt you know i i went to the french embassy
01:06:29.560 it's great but there's this worldwide pandemic killing millions and and this you know this is
01:06:35.180 unfair why am i having a good time when so many people are suffering none of that nothing and
01:06:39.640 that's all right but wait but let me turn it to the media because we know fauci's bad but he was
01:06:46.620 enabled by the slobbering love affair as bernie uh why am i not why am i forgetting bernie's last
01:06:53.580 name uh bernard goldberg uh his his book called it the the slobbering love affair that the left
01:07:00.580 has with their their heroes and he's definitely at the top of the list um because we've resurfaced
01:07:07.300 some of these clips and we've been talking about scott atlas he was in the crosshairs of none other
01:07:12.360 than chris cuomo who let's face it was the the face of the cnn coverage on covet and was wrong
01:07:20.180 at every turn from those terrible interviews he did with his brother andrew to his fake emergence
01:07:27.600 from the basement which was acting remember when he was like suddenly cured from covet and could
01:07:32.700 see the world again meanwhile he'd been in the new york post as having been out repeatedly and
01:07:37.220 to the the biggest sin which was the actual disinformation he was putting out on the airwaves
01:07:41.720 night after night. And he went off on Scott Atlas, who objected when Michigan had proposed
01:07:48.900 shutting everything down, no more gatherings at all, even outside of any size. It was truly
01:07:55.140 draconian. And he had said, resist. And this is just one example of what was going on on cable
01:08:02.360 news. Fox accepted at best at this time. Watch. This is Cuomo back then. Dr. Atlas. Okay.
01:08:11.400 a guy with no pandemic experience. He literally would know more if he stayed at a Holiday Inn
01:08:17.620 Express last night. He's saying, hey, you in Michigan, these measures to help try to control
01:08:24.000 the spread, fight back. Are you kidding me? Shame on you. What kind of doctor would tell people to
01:08:33.560 rise up and resist the only kind of prophylaxis that can help them? What the hell is a matter
01:08:39.400 with this person. But someday you're going to have to deal with real questions. And either you're
01:08:44.640 going to come on a show or you're going to do it. But you know what? We may go back to old school
01:08:47.460 and maybe the questions will come find you. Maybe when you're living your life nice and easy,
01:08:52.660 because you don't have the concerns that these same people that you're telling to rise up that
01:08:57.120 they have. Maybe the questions will come and find you because you have to answer for that kind of
01:09:01.700 guidance, let alone as a doctor. Do no harm. Invite grandma. This could be your last Thanksgiving.
01:09:08.580 Yeah, if you invite her to a place where she can get sick and die. 0.99
01:09:12.860 All right, tough guy.
01:09:14.480 And here, let me just tell you, so the Michigan restrictions that Atlas was saying rise up against, this was courtesy of Governor Gretchen Whitmer.
01:09:23.460 Some of the strictest stay-at-home orders in the nation.
01:09:26.700 Limit the number of customers in essential stores to four for every 1,000 feet.
01:09:31.220 Prohibiting employers from making employees come to work unless they're necessary.
01:09:35.260 suggesting people limit the number of household members who are running errands banning all public
01:09:41.280 and private gatherings outside homes all public and private gatherings as i was saying no more
01:09:47.080 private gatherings period a major anti-lockdown protest was held around lansing around with
01:09:53.480 many protesting her orders and included people in their cars and people on foot the streets were
01:09:59.240 jammed and she was very angry that people were questioning her words she was one of the worst
01:10:04.600 the lockdown governors in the country and scott atlas was one of the smartest and while trump 0.93
01:10:10.580 we featured a video there or he cuomo did of atlas at the lectern at the white house because trump
01:10:17.160 eventually caught on to scott atlas and started realizing some of these measures were just too
01:10:21.880 draconian and the left didn't like it cuomo didn't like it and guess what rich the left still doesn't
01:10:28.640 like it they're still out there ripping these republican senators today defending anthony
01:10:34.180 Fauci, holding water for him, because it's not just his neck on the line. It's theirs, too.
01:10:40.040 Yeah. So a lot of journalists who pride themselves on being objective, totally threw objectivity out
01:10:46.260 the window and were scolding us, right? Scolding people for having the wrong views about this.
01:10:50.860 And this is not retrospective, all that, right? We were saying this at the time,
01:10:55.520 and there's a very important public leader who figured it out at the time, Ron DeSantis. Within
01:11:00.360 Within two or three months, DeSantis had an approach that was based, as Scott Atlas was
01:11:05.760 advocating, protect the people who really need protecting, people with preexisting conditions,
01:11:11.480 people who are elderly, let's try to ring-fence those people as much as possible, and otherwise
01:11:16.900 let life go on.
01:11:18.520 That was an evidence-based approach, but there was this hysteria that was stoked by a media,
01:11:25.800 supposed to be skeptical, right, and question authority, but they were all in on this guy,
01:11:32.380 this authority, Anthony Fauci. Charlie, moments ago, this just on X hit Harvey Levin of TMZ with
01:11:40.620 a different reaction to what we saw today. Take a listen. Watching Anthony Fauci before
01:11:48.200 for a congressional hearing taking the Fifth Amendment is just one of the most heartbreaking
01:11:55.620 things I have seen in government in my lifetime. And this is something we need to reckon with,
01:12:04.800 that I'm going to say up front, I have problems the way the CDC handled COVID. And now we are at
01:12:13.180 point where members of Congress, and yes, you, Rand Paul, are on a witch hunt. And the best I
01:12:24.760 can say for Rand Paul is that he's being really honest. I mean, he has said now over a period of
01:12:30.400 years, he wants Anthony Fauci in a jail cell. That's the point of this hearing. That's why
01:12:36.340 they're doing this. Watching Rand Paul order security to throw Anthony Fauci's lawyer out
01:12:43.520 of that hearing was unbelievable to me. We are in a dark period of America.
01:12:52.400 So he's upset, but not with Fauci, with Rand Paul. I mean, he's an idiot. 1.00
01:12:59.200 well i i i don't i'm not disparaging you for showing the clip but i mean okay 1.00
01:13:06.380 so there's a guy who works at what tmz i mean that is that is a reaction that you would expect from
01:13:13.260 an uninformed person who had absorbed most of his political opinions
01:13:19.680 from the narrow culture around him and had never considered anything deeply who
01:13:27.080 had a vague conception that republicans were bad libertarians especially so
01:13:31.980 who thinks that there's something sacred about people who invoke the fifth amendment it's
01:13:38.500 constitutional right it's fine i mean this is this is the sort of level of analysis
01:13:44.400 that you would expect from your average wine mom i mean it's but i'm surprised because harvey 0.84
01:13:51.460 levin is not an idiot he's actually smart he's a lawyer he knows better i think these are his
01:13:56.540 politics affecting but that's the same thing megan i mean if you if you allow your politics 0.99
01:14:03.840 to affect your judgment in that way then you're a fool i mean there's what's the distinction 0.90
01:14:13.220 right that that is part of judgment i think there's going to be a lot a lot of you know 0.95
01:14:19.200 just people manning the partisan ramparts on this hearing today but i think the diaries have put
01:14:25.020 more of a dent in Fauci's reputation among some people you'd expect to be supporters.
01:14:31.220 The New York Times ran a really snarky piece about his diaries.
01:14:35.460 The Atlantic ran a piece that, you know, mostly favorable to Fauci, but not entirely favorable
01:14:39.920 to Fauci.
01:14:40.440 So I think Scott Gottlieb, you know, who's not a bomb thrower, was on CNBC.
01:14:46.000 I think I heard it on your show or maybe the morning update.
01:14:50.240 You did.
01:14:50.620 Yeah.
01:14:51.040 On AM update.
01:14:51.700 I'm embarrassed by these.
01:14:53.120 I'm disappointed by these.
01:14:54.260 So I do think the release of the diaries has dented his reputation with some people otherwise much more favorable or inclined to be favorable than we are.
01:15:03.940 All right.
01:15:04.480 Now, I want to move on, but I should show that I should show the moment I've been promising it for an hour that when Rand Paul threw out Anthony Fauci's lawyer, who I have to say deserved it.
01:15:13.560 Like, it's not your living room.
01:15:15.480 It's the U.S. Senate.
01:15:17.000 You have to comport with the rules of the U.S. Senate, which were explained to you repeatedly, counsel.
01:15:24.180 He thought he could do it his way and he learned the hard way.
01:15:28.300 This is one area in which the lawyers, at least the ones who aren't U.S. senators, are not in charge.
01:15:35.120 Here it is.
01:15:36.160 The attorneys are not recognized.
01:15:38.740 In fact, the attorney was told not to sit at the table and he's not obeying that recommendation.
01:15:43.300 There's a row behind you, sir.
01:15:44.560 That's where you were told to sit and you're not.
01:15:47.000 And now you're disrupting the proceedings.
01:15:49.560 And so, look, this is the way Anthony Fauci wants to be remembered.
01:15:52.800 For a lawyer not listening to the rules, that's the way you want to be remembered.
01:15:56.800 And that's what you're going to do.
01:15:58.180 You are not recognized, sir.
01:16:02.180 Security, please remove him from the room.
01:16:08.340 Let the record state that Dr. Fauci will still have the advice of the other half a dozen attorneys that he brought along today.
01:16:18.000 I enjoyed that.
01:16:19.160 I just did.
01:16:19.920 It's like, I don't like it when people don't follow the rules.
01:16:21.900 Go ahead, Charles.
01:16:22.400 Well, and this is actually a tactic that is increasingly used on the left and that makes me crazy.
01:16:28.840 There's a guy in Tennessee.
01:16:31.080 He's a lawmaker in the state house.
01:16:33.520 I think his name might be Justin Pearson.
01:16:36.920 But he constantly stages these performances.
01:16:43.140 And the most recent one.
01:16:44.140 Oh, yeah.
01:16:44.540 Yeah. The most recent one was he went into a Senate hearing and started shouting. Now,
01:16:49.820 he wasn't allowed to be in the Senate because he's in the House. It's a different chamber of
01:16:54.240 the legislature. And so he got kicked out of the Senate because it's a member of the House. He went
01:16:59.040 into a closed hearing of the Senate and started shouting about politics. And of course, the dumb 1.00
01:17:04.620 people who this is aimed at said, this is outrageous. You kicked a lawmaker out for 0.99
01:17:11.620 speaking. And then, of course, he pretended, he published a photograph of himself being kicked
01:17:17.420 out standing in front of the sergeant at arms and said, this is just like 1960s Tennessee.
01:17:23.460 No, there are rules in the Senate. And it's just amazing, Megan, to watch this stuff from the same
01:17:30.120 people who go on and on about January 6th. You know, my views on that, I think it was appalling.
01:17:35.640 I'm in no way defending it. But either we have rules, or we don't. Either it's imperative that
01:17:41.180 the senate is uninterrupted or it's not like you can't have this one way so of course you kicked
01:17:47.540 the lawyer out the senate didn't invite him up there is your dog a picky eater it's stressful
01:17:53.280 mine's not he'll eat a printer cartridge i mean literally anything but you know every dog is
01:17:58.460 different you try different brands you mix in toppers but those processed brown pellets just
01:18:04.720 sit there i have a friend just down the road she's got a sweet new dog he won't eat she's worried
01:18:09.580 about him. He's not hungry. Like, why not? We don't know. Maybe your dog simply knows the
01:18:14.180 difference between junk and real food. Sundays for dogs is different. Founded by a veterinarian,

01:21:16.240 Have we seen
01:21:17.440 the Vanity Fair article from Gavin Newsom's ex-lover. Have we read this piece, gentlemen?
01:21:25.660 Because it is, I don't, this is how long, look how long this thing is. This woman is very much
01:21:32.740 in love with every memory she has of her interludes with Gavin Newsom. And I don't know
01:21:39.240 whether you've read it but ruby rippy wants us to know all about the trysts she had with uh then
01:21:49.680 the then mayor of san francisco governor or now governor of california gavin newsome and i want
01:21:57.340 to ask you guys about it and i want to ask you whether you think this is going to help him or
01:22:03.200 heard him because it happened 25 years ago it's not like it just happened he was married at the
01:22:11.120 time to kimberly guilfoyle but they were separated and getting a divorce so i don't think many people
01:22:15.500 would consider that cheating on his part and she was she was married however you guys and that's
01:22:22.100 where the rub is because not only was he cheating like with her on her husband but the her husband
01:22:28.740 worked for gavin newsom and this went on for i think 10 months so it was a direct betrayal by
01:22:35.940 gavin newsom of somebody who had been very loyal to him and worked hard for him and by all reports
01:22:40.920 really admired him and it was a specific betrayal obviously of the wife against her husband and her
01:22:47.700 young two-year-old son and now she's decided just as he possibly runs for president as has vanity
01:22:54.240 fair to do a what 30 page article unquote how i blew up then rebuilt my life complete with stories
01:23:02.060 about how let's see um i'll find it hold on it's all about how she ripped his shirt off and there
01:23:10.140 were no more buttons left on the shirt and then he texted her thank god they sold t-shirts in the
01:23:17.020 hotel rich so is this a devastating expose or is this you always do this article now i'm really
01:23:24.460 not going to read it you totally convinced me the whole thing is sad it's tawdry also don't get
01:23:29.940 you know olivia newsy is that is that her name with with the rfk this thing where you write
01:23:34.820 these expose articles not mentioning the name of the person that you're describing yeah an affair
01:23:40.360 affair with in great detail i don't get that look i think it was a very messy period from
01:23:44.940 Gavin Newsom's life. I wouldn't be surprised if there's more where that came from. But we're just
01:23:49.440 so beyond this kind of thing being disqualifying or even a problem, really, in national politics.
01:23:56.860 And it was a long time ago. You know, if this is two years ago, be a problem. If there's anything,
01:24:02.800 as we saw with Plattner, involving, you know, physical conduct or intimidation or abuse,
01:24:09.500 you know, that that can be a deal killer. But this kind of thing won't. He'll just say, you know,
01:24:14.620 I had problems back then. I've grown and I've been happily married 20 years or whatever it is.
01:24:22.080 She's not alleging non-consensual behavior, although if you read her allegations, she kind of is.
01:24:29.760 She's not saying it was non-consensual, but she's saying that she was basically blacked out drunk to the point where she wet the bed in their first encounter.
01:24:39.920 I mean, that's pretty far gone, Charlie.
01:24:42.320 I'm not sure that's somebody any man should be sleeping with.
01:24:45.160 But here's the headline from the Daily Mail.
01:24:47.860 Former mistress says they first had sex after she wore white to friend's wedding
01:24:51.240 and that she ripped every button off his shirt during passionate hotel encounter, Charlie.
01:24:56.380 So who in their right mind goes through this,
01:25:01.540 then allows a whole bunch of time to elapse and then says,
01:25:06.200 I'll tell the whole world I wet the bed.
01:25:08.200 Who does that?
01:25:09.060 I mean, wouldn't you say, well, that was a long time ago?
01:25:12.340 My favorite thing about the story, I haven't read it,
01:25:14.520 so I don't know if this is in the article, Regan, you'll have to tell me,
01:25:18.140 or whether she said it somewhere else.
01:25:19.960 But I saw that she had said that the best advice she got on how to deal with this
01:25:25.340 came from Kamala Harris.
01:25:26.920 Yeah.
01:25:27.780 And I saw people who like Kamala Harris advancing this
01:25:31.140 as if it turned Kamala Harris into some sort of sage.
01:25:34.200 But I thought, well, of course, Kamala Harris would have the best advice 0.91
01:25:37.960 about what to do. 1.00
01:25:39.060 When you're cheating, because that's how Kamala Harris got to where she is. 1.00
01:25:44.740 She cheated with a whole bunch of people. 1.00
01:25:47.500 I'm not saying she cheated on her spouse, but she was the person with whom they were cheating.
01:25:53.320 So, of course, she gave great advice as to how to deal with cheating in California.
01:25:57.820 It's the perfect Kamala Harris story.
01:25:59.540 It's not an endorsement.
01:26:00.880 And then she married somebody who had been cheating on his prior partner.
01:26:05.940 So, yeah, there is a long history of it.
01:26:07.380 here i'm going to give you a couple of highlights lowlights your choice um ruby rippy gibney that's
01:26:13.300 her name she was uh yes okay she's the one with whom he had an affair 2007 when he's still mayor
01:26:18.800 of san francisco reading here from the daily mail write-up of the much longer vanity fair piece
01:26:23.320 uh she's now 51 she provided a timeline of how they came together they attended a wedding on
01:26:28.200 july 2nd 2005 where rippy donned a strapless white dress guys to a city hall staffers and
01:26:33.440 nuptials, despite her mother's disapproval of her outfit choice. During the event, she and her now
01:26:38.520 ex-husband and Newsom's former deputy chief of staff, Alex Tork, mingled with their colleagues
01:26:44.040 as she downed champagne and wine while her dinner went untouched, she said. She soon wound up in a
01:26:50.860 hallway with Newsom while waiting for the bathroom. Later in the night, they met again in a hot tub.
01:26:56.000 The rest of the evening was described as a blur by Rippy, but she said all encounters were
01:27:00.620 consensual she recalled the democrat messaging massaging her feet inside a chauffeured town call
01:27:05.640 and the next thing she knew she was waking up next to him in bed having peed herself okay just like
01:27:11.460 every great romance where's her husband that's how they where's her husband start she's it sounds
01:27:18.620 like i don't with her with her husband right and he he went home early he went home smart smart
01:27:24.880 man i love with their son those things are unconnected she's like it was really surprising
01:27:29.160 one minute he's massaging my feet in a limo next minute you'll never guess what happened you know
01:27:33.980 like like she suddenly transformed
01:27:36.740 shocking shocking it led to me peeing myself in bed at the time uh newsom was separated from
01:27:45.340 kimberly gilfoyle details her struggle with alcoholism uh she she says my phone lights up
01:27:53.220 soon after where are you but it never matters where i am because i always go to him his penthouse
01:27:57.780 in Russian Hill, a private backroom at a North Beach bar, the W Hotel in Los Angeles. We meet
01:28:03.800 and we drink. There is sex, but it isn't the point. The point is proximity to power, to being
01:28:09.540 chosen, to feeling newly visible, no longer muted by pregnancy, by new motherhood, by the strain of
01:28:15.960 white knuckling, long stretches of sobriety. She soon rushed over to see him at the W Hotel while
01:28:21.960 she was on a girls weekend. The next morning, she was greeted by tiny shirt buttons scattered
01:28:26.740 like coins on the floor near the bed. Ripley quickly realized that the buttons did not belong
01:28:31.200 to her, that she had ripped Newsome's shirt in the heat of the moment the night before.
01:28:35.900 I am overcome with the understanding that the consequence will not end with me.
01:28:40.080 They may cost me the best thing that has ever happened to me. Alex, oh, her husband, run,
01:28:45.480 Alex, run, goes on to say during another sexual encounter, Rippy said she watched her lover on 0.94
01:28:50.920 all fours near the edge of the bed, scrubbing furiously at the carpet with a washcloth after
01:28:55.080 she dropped a glass of red wine from the king-sized bed. Rippy started to think there
01:28:59.140 was no chance the stain would come out. But when he caught her gazing at him, Newsom snapped,
01:29:04.400 you know, we really can't do this anymore. You can't be doing this to Alex, she recalled him
01:29:09.320 saying. You can't be doing this to Alex. How about you? Rippy divorced Tork in early 2007.
01:29:15.880 They have a son and appear to have a good relationship. Newsom went on to remarry his
01:29:19.180 second wife, Jennifer Siebel, in July 2008, which is a year later. They have three children,
01:29:23.640 And I am going to go on the record saying this is not going to hurt him at all.
01:29:29.700 I think, sadly, if anything, it might actually help him.
01:29:33.480 There might be like some women out there who find him hot, who are kind of like, let me picture the buttons coming off and a passionate affair.
01:29:39.640 And it was 25 years ago, so I don't have to feel guilty about enjoying this image.
01:29:43.180 I'm like, I don't know, Rich.
01:29:45.060 I think you think it could.
01:29:46.140 It's either a neutral or a win for him.
01:29:47.920 I think it could could make him more alluring for certain.
01:29:51.500 Yeah.
01:29:53.140 Yes. 0.66
01:29:53.640 The same women who think that they want to go to bed with the the guys who are in prison, you know, because they want to be the one who could like tame him and not get strangled are the ones who look at that and say, like, OK, I could have been that woman with the buttons and the peeing herself in the wine.
01:30:12.600 It's probably neutral. But the one thing that it does do is blunt any holier than thou approach toward Trump.
01:30:23.640 Now, I know Trump won't be running in 28. But Trump's not exactly a paragon of virtue. And there
01:30:29.920 are some people who respond to this by pretending that they are. And if Gavin Newsom tries that,
01:30:36.080 it won't work. Now, this probably doesn't matter. But it does take that arrow out of his quiver.
01:30:41.760 Well, to get way ahead of us, you know, he'd likely be running if he's a nominee. And if
01:30:46.920 JD is the nominee, JD has the best odds of any Republican being the nominee at the moment.
01:30:50.360 he's running against a good family man right he just has a growing young family but i can't
01:30:56.600 vance having been such a trump loyalist vance can't bring this up either so i'm gonna go with
01:31:01.480 wash as well yeah okay um elsewhere there is a news story percolating about a professor at
01:31:13.880 cambridge charlie but you went to oxford right i always forget from cambridge i went to oxford
01:31:19.180 Okay. Well, this was in your backyard. There is a plagiarism scandal brewing at Cambridge,
01:31:28.060 and it seems pretty clear to me, but no one at Cambridge cares and no one on Blue Sky cares at
01:31:35.720 all either. And that is for one reason, as far as I can tell, the man being accused is black 0.97
01:31:42.540 and has been this much celebrated professor because he has allegedly this very compelling
01:31:48.700 backstory. But it turns out the backstory to maybe utter bullshit. OK, here's I'm just going to start 0.99
01:31:57.560 with some of the defenses and then we can get into what the allegations are. But this is just
01:32:03.860 a sampling from Blue Sky. The right wing press is attacking Jason Arday, Britain's only black
01:32:09.760 autistic professor for plagiarism in his Ph.D. Then they go on to say solidarity. This is very
01:32:16.400 common plagiarism is. It's just that nobody notices or complains if you're white. Another 0.58
01:32:21.100 one disgusted with the press for presenting this non story. If it has to be covered at all,
01:32:27.520 it should be framed as discredited racist smears black Cambridge professor in sustained campaign
01:32:32.000 to undermine him. Jason Arday, another one writes, is the youngest black professor in Cambridge's
01:32:36.760 history. Right wing newspapers are trying to smear him with false accusations of plagiarism.
01:32:41.580 We can't let them stand up to their hate and division, solidarity, vile racist hit job, and so on, nasty smear campaign of lies.
01:32:49.620 But it turns out it's not just about his alleged instances of plagiarism as outlined by the Telegraph in great detail.
01:32:59.840 And we can get to some of that because it goes on.
01:33:02.460 It's also about the possibility that this guy lied about his entire life story.
01:33:08.580 There is a question about whether he was nonverbal, as he claimed, until the age of 11, and then miraculously went on to start speaking, not just speaking, but like to the point where he could get hired as a professor at Cambridge within a few short years.
01:33:25.820 He became a Cambridge professor at age 37.
01:33:29.620 The UK Telegraph says he was diagnosed with autism and was nonverbal till 11.
01:33:34.420 he had only learned to read and write at age 18, but then obtained a degree and a doctorate
01:33:39.340 before forging his career in teaching. He has now written a memoir, Great and Unfortunate
01:33:44.460 Things, set to be published next month. And yet there are questions emerging about whether he
01:33:50.720 deserved that PhD or whether he plagiarized his way to it. They say that, stand by,
01:33:59.040 less than a decade ago, he was given a devastating outlook. He would likely need
01:34:05.300 to stay in an assisted living facility. He refused to make that a reality, writing that he would work
01:34:11.340 at Oxford or Cambridge on the wall of his mom's bedroom, solidifying one of his life goals.
01:34:16.220 He told the BBC that watching Nelson Mandela's prison release in 1990 and witnessing South
01:34:21.380 Africa's 1995 Rugby World Cup win were among the most formative moments in his young life,
01:34:26.640 vowing that if he didn't make it as a football player, uh, he would save the world. He said he
01:34:31.500 never had a mentor teach him to write for academia, uh, leading to a number of rejections that is
01:34:37.720 until finally reaching his goal of teaching at Cambridge in the face of adversity. He was hell
01:34:42.380 bent on changing the tides in his favor. He went on to earn two master's qualifications after
01:34:46.460 receiving a degree in phys ed and education studies from the university of Surrey later
01:34:51.320 earned a PhD from Liverpool John Moores University in 2016. Um, and they say, okay, hold on. Um,
01:35:02.780 that this is from the Telegraph. An analysis of his PhD thesis, however, identified more than 100
01:35:09.420 passages that are identical or nearly identical to a 2009 PhD thesis by Paula Zwosdiak Myers,
01:35:16.600 A Brunel University student, Professor Arde's 401-page thesis titled, An Exploration of Peer Monitoring Among Student Teachers, sick, so there is a grammatical error in the name of his PhD thesis, to inform reflective practice within the context of action research, mentions this Ms. Myers 17 times, but he allegedly steals her work far more than 17.
01:35:43.440 and they provide the examples which are identical.
01:35:46.500 I mean, I'll just give you just a couple of,
01:35:48.220 in his extract, he writes,
01:35:49.840 perceptive reflection on practice,
01:35:51.860 links teaching to feelings.
01:35:53.240 In Ms. Meyer's extract,
01:35:54.920 perception reflection on practice,
01:35:56.740 links teaching to feelings.
01:35:58.860 And he writes, receptive reflection on practice,
01:36:01.380 relates personal views to others' views.
01:36:03.080 What did she write?
01:36:04.020 Reception reflection on practice,
01:36:06.320 relates personal views to others' views.
01:36:08.040 We could be here all day.
01:36:09.700 Now, finally, today we get the addendum
01:36:11.820 that not only did he make all these claims, but he also said he did all this, like whatever,
01:36:19.100 got himself from non-speaking into a professorship at Cambridge while he had both a brain tumor
01:36:24.920 and then a stroke and ran 600 miles, 600 miles in, was it 30 days or 60 days?
01:36:37.540 I mean, let's see. He said in 2010 that he had run 30 marathons in 35 days, and that was 300 miles in three days, 600 miles in six days, which would have been 50 miles short of the world record for ultra distance running.
01:36:58.680 Now, Southampton Solent University, which awarded him an honorary degree in 2023, has quietly removed the references to running 300 miles and 600 miles from its website.
01:37:10.480 And another university, which gave him an honorary doctorate, recently changed the reference to 600 miles in six days to 600 miles in 12 days.
01:37:17.460 So brain tumor, stroke, 600 miles in six days, allegedly, got the Ph.D. and gave his verbal defense of it right after he had the brain tumor and was having the stroke after being nonverbal forever and then somehow managing to talk himself. 0.98
01:37:35.160 Like, I smell bullshit from an ocean away. 0.67
01:37:39.600 But Charlie, you tell me because you're of this elite world and actually shared an original country with this guy. 0.99
01:37:46.680 So what do you make of it?
01:37:48.040 I think somewhere George Santos is taking notes on this guy.
01:37:53.760 Not Jewish, but Jew-ish as he defended himself.
01:37:57.640 I mean, I feel that the best defense of this guy is that he's a plagiarist, because I looked up the work in which the plagiarism supposedly took place. And I would not have wanted to have written it because it is unadulterated garbage. And I think that that is perhaps more important. I had the same view of Claudine Gay at Harvard. It's bad to plagiarize and she shouldn't have done it. 1.00
01:38:24.720 But the really embarrassing thing about Claudine Gay was the work that she published under her own name, which was entirely worthless. And the same is true here. We're not talking here about somebody following in the footsteps of, say, Sir Isaac Newton, perhaps Cambridge's most famous alumnus who has been plagiarizing work.
01:38:43.540 we're talking about somebody who is obsessed with race, who talks about whiteness and blackness as
01:38:50.580 if they're serious concepts, who doesn't look at human beings as human beings, but as members of
01:38:57.060 groups, whose language is inscrutable. He was much preferable, I suppose, when he couldn't speak.
01:39:05.460 So this is more than a story about plagiarism, I think. This is a story about fraud. Now, of course,
01:39:12.480 Having been to Oxford, I should at this point make lots of jokes about Cambridge, as is R1.
01:39:18.040 But this is far beyond Cambridge. 0.90
01:39:20.580 This is a problem in academia in general at the moment, and he exemplifies it.
01:39:26.500 So perhaps he's the latest person to be caught.
01:39:31.880 But there is, unfortunately, within the academic sphere, much less interest in the truth than there should be,
01:39:40.100 and much less interest and useful inquiry than there should be.
01:39:43.840 And a great celebration of people's immutable characteristics
01:39:46.960 and their ability to put out a whole bunch of guff.
01:39:50.440 And this has blown up because he is all three at once. 0.99
01:39:54.620 He's a plagiarist, he's a fraud, and his work is useless. 0.95
01:39:59.800 And the sooner that we recognize that, the better our universities will be. 0.97
01:40:03.580 Yes, his work was found to be identical to the other professor in more than 100 passages.
01:40:08.620 He only cited her 17 times. And what does Cambridge say about this whole thing, Rich?
01:40:14.060 Well, their professor Bakar Vera, who serves as the pro vice chancellor of education at the university, described our day as an exceptional scholar.
01:40:24.060 Quote, he will contribute significantly to Cambridge's research in this area and to addressing the underrepresentation of people from socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds, especially those from black, Asian and other minority ethnic communities.
01:40:40.040 His experiences highlight the barriers faced by many underrepresented groups.
01:40:45.480 He's he's basically saying he's black, so he's going nowhere.
01:40:50.300 He's going to bring some sort of diversity to Cambridge.
01:40:53.560 And we don't care how many people he plagiarized or how many lies he's told us, possibly about 600 miles in six days, a brain tumor and a stroke while defending his Ph.D.
01:41:07.220 after being autistic and nonverbal and having no formal tutelage. It's crazy.
01:41:14.620 So maybe the autistic thing is not as crazy as it sounds. I remember Thomas Sowell a year ago
01:41:19.020 wrote a book about late talkers, and sometimes they can be incredibly talented. But the rest
01:41:23.620 of this story, when you add it up that way, it's obviously too good to check. But there's no
01:41:30.480 black plagiarism or white plagiarism or women's plagiarism. There's just plagiarism, right? He 0.80
01:41:36.520 either did it or or not and it shouldn't be acceptable acceptable but this this is kind of
01:41:41.960 the dei mindset in a nutshell right the molten core of it that the value of this guy is not his
01:41:48.560 scholarship is not his thought certainly not his originality it's his characteristics or supposed
01:41:54.840 characteristics and that's just not how any of this is supposed to work and it's a deep corruption
01:41:59.800 of academia. And it long ago jumped the ivory walls of academia as it affected all of our
01:42:08.460 national life here in the United States and other Western advanced countries. So if he did it,
01:42:13.400 he should be nailed to the wall and no one should hear about him again. If he has some 0.96
01:42:18.180 innocent explanation or if it's not truly plagiarism, fine. But the idea that this guy
01:42:23.360 should be a member of a protected class because of these his characteristics is just poisonous oh
01:42:30.300 yeah well now he's playing the victim card too because this first came out in 2023 when both
01:42:36.140 cambridge and this john moores were alerted to this problem um this dave harris professor emeritus
01:42:43.120 at plymouth margin university alerted cambridge and liverpool's john moores university to his
01:42:48.780 concerns about plagiarism by this guy. This is back in 2023. He said, in my opinion, important
01:42:53.300 sections of the work of this professor, Jason Arday, both his PhD thesis and some subsequent
01:42:57.720 published articles, solo and jointly written display indications of serious plagiarism.
01:43:01.900 He notified them both. And he also emailed Arday to his credit about the discrepancies in his
01:43:07.700 published work. And how did Arday respond? Please do not email me again. Should you have time to
01:43:12.620 spare? I invite you to direct your resources elsewhere. Anything further from you will be
01:43:17.240 considered bullying and harassment, bullying and harassment. There's this one guy named Nathan
01:43:23.840 Coughness, who's a free speech advocate, who was sacked by Emanuel at Cambridge College last year
01:43:29.880 after Substack posts. And this is how they're dismissing this guy's allegations. He was one
01:43:34.800 of the ones who first brought this up. They're saying, oh, he's racist. He's a crackpot biologist
01:43:38.920 and racist because he said even Walt Disney would raise an eyebrow at this story. Well, that's 0.97
01:43:43.620 because there were accusations against him
01:43:46.480 for writing this allegedly racist article,
01:43:48.820 but the complaints against him were later dismissed.
01:43:51.660 So that was the guy.
01:43:53.080 And everybody who comes after him gets the same treatment.
01:43:56.440 Oh, well, Rich, Charlie, it's always interesting.
01:43:59.660 Thanks for being here.
01:44:00.520 Thanks for having us.
01:44:01.100 Thanks for having us, yeah.
01:44:02.260 All right, back tomorrow. 0.99
01:44:04.740 Thanks for listening to The Megyn Kelly Show.
01:44:06.740 No BS, no agenda, and no fear.
01:44:13.620 Thank you.
