00:00:55.100 welcome to the megan kelly show live on sirius xm channel 111 every weekday at noon east
00:01:03.480 hey everyone i'm megan kelly welcome to the megan kelly show the story i want to start
00:01:13.580 with debbie murphy says we can't she she says we can't steve krakauer and debbie murphy
00:01:19.400 he's my executive producer she ep's news they say we have to start with the election results
00:01:24.940 So I guess I will, because I love my team. My team generally knows what's best.
00:01:30.160 But I just want you to know I have a different favorite story, and it's coming up right after we get through this.
00:01:38.800 We should tell you the actual news. There hasn't been that much news lately.
00:01:42.480 Today there is some news. The electoral results are in, and the Democrat Party's a little afraid to go too full socialist.
00:01:52.080 They expressed some consternation about going hardcore socialist in a couple of races, which was disappointing for Republicans who thought the truly nutcase candidates could be more easily defeated like that weird lady in Wisconsin who wanted to be governor and get rid of Thanksgiving.
00:02:11.680 Remember?
00:02:12.280 Oh, by the way, as I was coming to air,
00:02:14.240 remember her name is Francesca Hong.
00:02:15.860 She was talking about how her son,
00:02:19.380 I guess she's Korean and the son is Korean and half white.
00:02:23.360 And she was talking about how that son of hers, 0.56
00:02:26.800 her 10-year-old has allowed her to have a proximity to whiteness.
00:02:31.560 And, you know, I guess she's just been shocked 0.60
00:02:33.280 by the privilege associated with it.
00:02:34.940 She brought her son with her to vote yesterday.
00:02:37.060 He looks totally Korean.
00:02:38.620 He doesn't look white.
00:02:40.980 at all. So I don't know what she's talking about. I'm not sure. I'm not sure she did have the
00:02:47.260 proximity to whiteness experience among her many, many other problems. This woman's such a mess. 1.00
00:02:55.320 She was pulling allegedly 22, 30 points ahead. No, she lost. It was close, but she lost. She 0.98
00:03:03.660 lost to a more moderate guy, supposedly. But I mean, everyone's more moderate than this nutcase 0.97
00:03:08.820 Hong. Yes, she was taken down by the establishment backed Milwaukee County Executive David Crawley.
00:03:16.640 It was a stunning upset because everybody had her way up, including the betting markets,
00:03:20.860 up at least 18 points in the final five public polls. Now, some of the left are trying to blame
00:03:26.660 her loss on Bernie Sanders and AOC because they didn't endorse Hong. We're seeing some say,
00:03:31.620 what the hell is she tweeting about her stupid fertility treatments instead of endorsing someone 1.00
00:03:38.080 from the DSA whose politics are aligned with AOCs. They certainly have been in the same way 1.00
00:03:45.640 that these two supported Abdul El-Sayed in Michigan in the Democrat primary there for
00:03:50.920 Senate. But why didn't they? They didn't. She was a bridge too far. Now they're pissed at those two.
00:03:56.820 But I mean, can we really say it was AOC's fault? I think you come out against Thanksgiving.
00:04:03.800 is kind of over between you and the American people.
00:04:07.080 She also had problems with Christmas.
00:04:08.940 Who wants to elect such a curmudgeon, 0.59
00:04:12.540 stick-in-the-mud, killjoy, buzzkill to hire office? 0.93
00:04:18.160 Wisconsin is not California.
00:04:21.340 It's still a swing state.
00:04:23.900 So I just think the shock was that she was pulling ahead
00:04:27.980 for so long.
00:04:28.900 The shock is not that she lost.
00:04:31.360 And now this guy Crowley will face the Trump back candidate, Tom Tiffany, in November in the general.
00:04:37.760 His campaign saying, oh, there's not a dime's bit of difference between the two of them.
00:04:41.440 I mean, I see it's a good point.
00:04:43.460 There is a dime's worth, maybe not a quarter's worth.
00:04:47.220 But here to react to this and a lot more is Emily Jashinsky.
00:04:50.620 She's a Wisconsin native, people.
00:04:52.720 More proof that Wisconsin's not California.
00:04:55.640 California would never produce an Emily Jashinsky.
00:04:58.700 She's also a host of After Party on the MK Media Podcast Network.
00:05:02.260 You can go and find that on YouTube and all podcast platforms and do it because if you're
00:05:06.220 missing After Party, you're missing a lot of fun with EJ.
00:05:09.080 She also hosts our MK Wrap-Up Show right after this show on Sirius XM Channel 111 live every
00:05:14.100 day at 2 p.m.
00:05:16.340 When you sign your insurance policy for some brokers, that's the finish line.

00:06:15.440 Emily, welcome back. So what was it? This Hong was up double digits. Again,
00:06:21.720 one of those polls had her up like 30 points. But then that Thanksgiving clip hit, which was
00:06:26.600 no bueno for her. I mean, everyone loves Thanksgiving. Only a true nutcase doesn't
00:06:31.540 like Thanksgiving. And then she injected more Thanksgiving into the narrative the day. Was it
00:06:37.600 yesterday, the day of the actual vote? Or yeah, it was the day of the actual vote. She started
00:06:42.880 talking about it again, trying to dial it back. But still, don't talk about Thanksgiving when
00:06:48.200 everybody's looking at you and knowing you had to talk about it because you said you wanted it
00:06:52.080 to be canceled. Here's what she said yesterday on election day. Is there any information about you
00:06:57.780 that you don't think the media has picked up on over the course of this campaign thus far?
00:07:03.960 Is there any information about yourself, your background that you think voters are
00:07:09.220 potentially missing out on? I've cooked many great Thanksgiving dinner.
00:07:18.200 And I'm not going to cancel things.
00:07:23.680 I wanted to be a sports journalist.
00:07:26.400 I was going to go to J school, but my path took me on a journey to become a chef and open my own restaurant.
00:07:35.460 And as an employer, I learned how important it is to make sure that we're respecting, honoring all workers.
00:07:42.800 And that as a small business owner, things are really rigged against our small businesses.
00:07:48.200 And I want to make sure that there's relief for small businesses, that we enshrine workers' rights, and that for many of my fellow single moms out there, just remember how powerful you are.
00:08:02.960 And I love turkey. I love mashed potatoes. I make a little gravy boat in the middle.
00:08:10.660 So what do you make of it?
00:08:12.340 She hates Valentine's Day, too. Valentine's Day, Christmas, these are capitalist constructs.
00:08:17.360 Yep. She had a Valentine's Day tweet, one that didn't get enough attention because I think the Daily Wire reported on it yesterday.
00:08:23.020 She had a, I'm sorry to say this, a menstruation themed dinner.
00:08:26.660 She hosted this back in like 2019 and was tweeting about it.
00:08:30.200 And this is part of what people don't understand, I think, about Wisconsin politics is how large Madison looms in Wisconsin politics.
00:08:36.420 And she just screams Madison.
00:08:38.700 Everybody in Wisconsin, whether they're a Democrat or Republican, has like a neighbor or a niece who like went to UW-Madison and came back after their first semester talking about hosting menstruation-themed dinners and canceling Thanksgiving.
00:08:53.440 And so it's just—
00:08:54.340 What is a menstruation-themed dinner? 0.97
00:08:56.940 What happens at one of these? 1.00
00:08:58.660 I could tell you—
00:08:59.520 Is there Bloody Marys?
00:09:00.540 No, Megan! 0.88
00:09:02.320 No, there was Korean blood sausage, apparently.
00:09:05.160 I'm so sorry to bring that information to the viewers.
00:09:08.580 When they sit around and talk about their periods?
00:09:10.740 I'd rather not think about it.
00:09:12.960 I guess I brought it up.
00:09:14.000 Emily, why are we having cocktails when we get together,
00:09:16.320 when we could be having this kind of fun?
00:09:17.960 Oh, my gosh.
00:09:19.380 Please don't make me do that.
00:09:22.840 That's going to be our next segment.
00:09:24.660 You got a makeover, and now we're going to dive deep
00:09:28.380 on menstruation together.
00:09:30.460 But see, this is the thing.
00:09:31.460 Wow.
00:09:31.640 But it just screams.
00:09:33.580 To Wisconsin people, it screams Madison.
00:09:35.940 It screams out of touch.
00:09:37.960 And whether it was an electability issue for Democratic voters who, as these posts started
00:09:43.020 coming up, she was going on CNN, totally unnecessary, going on CNN, Fox News to talk
00:09:48.440 about these things. You don't have to do that if you're running in a Democratic primary for
00:09:51.580 Wisconsin governor. And so is it possible that just made Democratic voters in the last week
00:09:57.080 of the campaign as she's doing all this national media actually start to shift? I mean, Crowley's
00:10:01.980 own campaign had her up 18 points within the last couple of weeks. So it wasn't just like
00:10:08.060 even his own internals were showing that. So she got trounced by Crowley in a lot of rural counties.
00:10:14.180 She didn't put up the numbers that she needed to put up in Dane County, where Madison is.
00:10:18.380 Milwaukee County was very close. Crowley's a Milwaukee County executive. And so I think part
00:10:23.160 of the problem is if you have a populist message, like this was the Zoran Mamdani revolution,
00:10:27.920 he's out there smiling constantly deflecting any conversation about culture war issues
00:10:33.700 he looks cheerful and that was not how francesca hong came across at all she came across as weird
00:10:41.080 and dour yeah oh yeah bitter uh yeah okay so the team sent me the the tweet uh i miss working in
00:10:50.860 a restaurant every day except on valentine's day she posted on valentine's day 2022 as if
00:10:56.780 If we weren't invisible enough to those who don't recognize the emotional and physical labor of service work, the worst of humanity comes out from folks celebrating one another on a day on another day.
00:11:10.140 Capitalism tells you how to show love.
00:11:12.980 It's true.
00:11:13.920 I don't recognize the emotional and physical labor of service work when I go out for Valentine's Day.
00:11:19.320 I will include a tip if the service is good.
00:11:21.620 Other than that, I'm not thinking about that person at all.
00:11:24.160 She's right.
00:11:24.680 I I'm not thinking about the person in the kitchen. I'm barely thinking about my waiter
00:11:29.380 as it should be. I don't need to go out and be thinking about the emotional and physical labor
00:11:35.540 of service workers when I'm out there. All I need to do is be polite to them and tip them if the
00:11:41.180 service is good. What kind of weird world is this? This is the world of like the cultural left and
00:11:46.920 everything has to be analyzed through this particular lens. And it's not relatable to
00:11:52.620 average Americans. And so while her data center messaging might be relatable to average Democrats
00:11:58.520 in the state of Wisconsin, and actually average voters in the state of Wisconsin, I mean,
00:12:01.660 she came very close and spent basically zero money on TV, like several hundred thousand dollars on
00:12:07.320 TV, and came very close to winning this election, even with all of those tweets. So it's not a total
00:12:13.840 loss for the DSA. I mean, it's definitely a setback because she's a real dyed-in-the-wool
00:12:19.220 DSA person like Mom Donnie, like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, but she came very close in a
00:12:24.880 race that she really had no business coming that close in. Either way, part of the problem is just
00:12:29.740 that is so, so profoundly unrelatable that even if people are mad about data centers and David
00:12:35.820 Crowley seems much more friendly to the data centers, they can't take you seriously. It's like
00:12:40.880 you and I have talked about this before. It's like why the trans issue is a litmus test. Even if it's 0.53
00:12:45.980 not the thing people are voting on. If they believe you're lying to them about thinking
00:12:49.920 boys can become girls and that they should be playing in women's sports, it makes your data
00:12:53.760 data center message, any populist taxation message, all of that way harder to sell. 0.71
00:12:59.620 And all these DSA are pro transing the children. I mean, it's pretty egregious. 0.99
00:13:03.560 In case I forget to mention it, a shout out, huge shout out to the Trump administration today,
00:13:08.720 which through Dr. Oz has now said that Medicaid services will no longer be paying
00:13:14.640 for any trans surgeries or trans procedures or trans meds for children in the United States. 0.88
00:13:21.460 It's a massive, massive victory. And as I also said, if there's a hospital that's
00:13:26.680 trying to perform these services, they're not going to get the Medicaid funding for it. So
00:13:32.860 this is like huge. And it's kind of what we need to be doing to crack down on illegals. Like 1.00
00:13:38.440 we need sweeping. We're doing E-Verify. You just can't get a job at a corporation unless
00:13:44.000 you are an actual citizen who can prove your citizenship, this is basically doing that to 0.99
00:13:49.820 trans procedures through Medicaid, and it's a great, great move. But you're right. The lunacy
00:13:55.980 is too much to swallow. Here's one on Halloween. I don't allow myself to work on Halloween weekend
00:14:01.320 or the day of, she wrote in 2019. I would actually ask every single person in costume to leave.
00:14:07.440 She sounds like a real joy. You, you in the Disney princess outfit, you're out.
00:14:14.000 Why aren't you worried about my emotional and physical well-being?
00:14:17.600 Where why?
00:14:18.140 Where's the question about the toll your presence here is taking on me?
00:14:22.440 I'm sure she would have handled the stress of the gubernatorial job just fine.
00:14:28.800 Speaking of the Wisconsin governor's race, and now they're up against this guy, Tiffany, who's on the Republican side.
00:14:35.840 Our old pal, Haley Stevens, who's been popping up on CNN now, the Miss the Michigander. 0.61
00:14:42.620 And I'm just going to talk to the Michigander is the way they need to be talked to.
00:14:47.020 She's not gone. 1.00
00:14:48.020 She's gone, but not forgotten from the race. 0.95
00:14:49.840 And she's not forgotten over on CNN, where now she's making regular appearances. 0.84
00:14:53.340 And here she is in SOT 12B.
00:14:55.740 Tiffany that he's running against.
00:14:57.860 I serve with him in the house and he's a nice guy, but he is kind of narrow.
00:15:03.100 all right and he's deeply conservative and his big priority is wolves he wants to hunt wolves
00:15:08.820 i'm not kidding he's talked to me about it many times on the house floor this is cool stuff it's
00:15:14.200 a good time to be a democrat can i just follow up on the wolves thing um what you said he wants
00:15:20.160 to hunt wolves like are you saying he's distracted by this priority or what's the what's what's going
00:15:24.740 on there talks about pamela i swear to you it is all this man talks about i listen i have been to
00:15:31.520 wisconsin many times you know i did a bunch of business there i mean he's just obsessed with
00:15:36.540 changing the gun laws or the hunting laws to hunt wolves it's all he talks about
00:15:42.300 that's it emily it's all he talks about fingers crossed cnn hires her i want that to happen so
00:15:50.860 badly because she will do this every single day it'll be such a gift to us by the way
00:15:54.880 wolves are a big deal in northern wisconsin tom tiffany was a dairy farmer haley stephen
00:16:01.040 sounds like she's trying to talk like a dairy farmer. You'll notice Tom Tiffany doesn't talk
00:16:06.000 like that, even though he's a real dairy farmer. But seriously, I don't know that he's talking
00:16:12.300 about wolves all the time. I've never heard him talk about wolves, but he should be talking about
00:16:15.680 wolves because he represents northern Wisconsin, where it's a big threat to people with animals
00:16:20.380 and the like. So I loved where she was going with that. She was cooking.
00:16:25.460 She really is like a caricature, you know, she's not like a real person.
00:16:30.080 She seems to me like a caricature, an SNL, truly.
00:16:33.980 I know we've done the Chris Farley bit, but she does seem like an SNL skit of an East
00:16:38.600 Coast version, a person's version of what a Midwesterner is like.
00:16:43.320 But there she is.
00:16:44.240 She's real.
00:16:44.940 It's come to life and it's there for us to behold on CNN.
00:16:48.840 All right.
00:16:49.020 So if you were conspiratorially minded, you might be asking yourself how all the polls
00:16:56.440 got it so wrong in Wisconsin about this nutcase leading the race for governor, and then suddenly
00:17:03.080 it all fell apart on the night of the vote, which, you know, she would have been a much
00:17:07.700 better candidate for Tom Tiffany to run against.
00:17:09.760 It's true. 0.99
00:17:10.480 She's I mean, she's crazy. 0.94
00:17:12.120 So the other guy is a normal lefty and Republicans do know how to defeat them. 0.94
00:17:16.940 But she's really out there. 0.99
00:17:19.020 and miserable. And I think would have been a much easier race for this Tiffany guy,
00:17:23.320 the Republican. So it does make you wonder what happened between the polling and the vote.
00:17:31.460 And the following is not going to help people who think maybe there was some tomfoolery
00:17:38.980 by the Democrat party to make sure their preferred candidate won because the USB sticks
00:17:47.280 with the voting data disappeared as the vote went on.
00:17:52.920 And here's NBC's Steve Kornacki reacting to that news as it came down.
00:17:58.640 So five, I guess the exact thing, yes, is if five of the USB sticks were missing results
00:18:04.400 from the election, so then they have to they have to go try to re-grab them.
00:18:10.840 Yeah, and they're all the folks behind the scenes are talking about this as well.
00:18:15.820 also we can also look it's unfortunate the folks behind the scenes here you're saying yes
00:18:21.920 are are how do i ask this artfully um
00:18:29.580 he he was stunned the point is he was literally speechless because it's just so
00:18:37.220 bass-ackwards but also it could lead you to wonder whether it's legit i mean milwaukee this
00:18:44.920 happens with Milwaukee time and again. And so it was interesting to see people on the left late
00:18:49.720 last night, the DSA left reacting as this played out in a similar fashion to how you saw some people
00:18:57.240 in MAGA reacting as this has played out before. And when you blame them, I know it's crazy. It's
00:19:04.360 actually crazy that this is the way that we run our elections. And we're all just supposed to not
00:19:09.140 ask questions because if you ask question, you're a conspiracy theorist. Yes. And did you see Jen
00:19:14.280 Psaki was just on MSNBC or MSNOW yesterday, lamenting how things have changed from when the
00:19:22.160 Democrat Party used to decide who the candidates would be. You know, big D Democrats, I mean,
00:19:28.600 just ask Bernie Sanders, just ask Tulsi Gabbard. That's why she got excommunicated from the
00:19:33.080 Democrat Party, because she saw what they did to Bernie Sanders. Tulsi was a rising star. She came
00:19:38.480 on the show very early on and told us all about it. She was a rising star within the Democrat
00:19:42.140 party. They were like, oh, she's a minority and she's a woman and she's whatever. She checks a
00:19:47.100 couple of the minority boxes and they were drafting her, you know, just sort of come up the
00:19:51.460 ranks of Democrat power and had her at the DNC. And next thing she knew, they were rigging the 0.91
00:19:58.040 2016 nomination contest for Hillary to keep Bernie out. And she spoke up about it. She thought it was
00:20:03.320 wrong. Well, ever since that point, her name was mud. And then you had Hillary Clinton calling her 0.99
00:20:09.220 a Russian agent and all this bullshit that followed. But it was over what Jen Psaki is now 0.99
00:20:14.840 openly admitting that the Democrat Party used to, in her estimation, make sure it's going to be this
00:20:22.380 candidate and not that candidate because they would control candidate quality and chances in
00:20:27.180 these contested elections. And there's a real question about whether they are still doing that,
00:20:32.820 but just through other means, like getting a bunch of homeless people to suddenly vote for
00:20:38.060 the woman nobody was polling for in California in the L.A. mayoral race, for one example,
00:20:44.880 or possibly in Wisconsin to get the more allegedly moderate guy who has a better chance against
00:20:51.180 Tiffany across the finish line despite an 18 point deficit to the nutcase.
00:20:56.440 Right. There's a last minute push to get the sitting lieutenant governor Mandela Barnes,
00:20:59.800 who they felt was underperforming out of the race and consolidate around two candidates,
00:21:04.100 similar to what we saw in Michigan. Mallory McBurrow had a lot of momentum,
00:21:08.060 And it was basically a three-way race between Haley Stevens, Mallory McMorrow, and Abdul El-Sayed.
00:21:12.660 And as Sayed started to look like he was climbing in the polls, McMorrow drops out, doesn't endorse.
00:21:17.820 But clearly that allowed the vote to consolidate behind Haley Stevens, I'm sorry,
00:21:24.360 so that you could have a closer race and have a better chance at making sure that El-Sayed does not win that election.
00:21:31.180 because this is exactly what they did in 2020. As Bernie started surging, once again, like he did
00:21:37.740 in 2016, you have the consolidation behind Biden because Buttigieg and Klobuchar dropped out of
00:21:44.220 the race. And so Psaki's frustration boiling over to the point where she actually made that public
00:21:49.140 and plain is really interesting, because I think they do feel like they're losing their grip. And
00:21:54.480 this is how Republicans felt in 2016. They could do nothing. None of their chicanery was working
00:21:59.520 to stop Trump. And they finally just had to give into it after trying to take him down at the 0.98
00:22:05.000 convention with this ham-fisted plot that still hasn't been made into the film that it should
00:22:09.600 have been, the comedy, I should say, the comedy film that it should have been made into. It didn't
00:22:13.420 work. And Democrats are experiencing that delayed because they had a much more centralized power
00:22:18.560 structure with superdelegates and the like at the DNC. Okay, let's move from Wisconsin over to
00:22:25.820 Minnesota. And, uh, in Minnesota, we have actually a very interesting contest now at the Senate
00:22:33.720 level. Um, it's like Amy Klobuchar is the sitting democratic Senator who's now trying to become
00:22:40.580 the governor because Tim Walz said he won't run for a third term because of all the Somali fraud
00:22:46.300 scandal. Okay. It's so confusing, but so he's not going to be governor anymore. So now Klobuchar 0.81
00:22:51.140 views this as a as a promotion because she would be an executive, the chief executive
00:22:55.840 of the state, as opposed to just one of two U.S. senators and vying for the seat of U.S. senator
00:23:01.800 will be the lieutenant governor, Penny Peggy Flanagan versus Michelle Tafoya, former sports
00:23:11.260 broadcaster who came on this show right after she left the sidelines. And I said to her then and
00:23:19.640 there, I certainly hope you're going to be running for office because she's just a badass. She's
00:23:23.260 smart. She's serious. She's sober. And she's a household name. And especially in Minnesota.
00:23:30.020 So she's gotten the Republican nomination and she's going to be squaring off against another
00:23:36.400 nutcase. Peggy Flanagan is seriously bizarre. She would want me to tell you she's indigenous.
00:23:46.460 and this is peggy flanagan in march of 2023 in a soundbite our viewers may remember about
00:23:53.540 trans and children sought eight because let's be clear this is life affirming and life saving
00:24:03.900 health care when our children tell us who they are it is our job as grown-ups to listen and to
00:24:14.960 believe them that's what it means to be a good parent oh my god i mean it's truly radical stuff
00:24:29.520 while she's wearing that protect trans children t-shirt with a knife like a cutting knife a blade
00:24:35.020 weapon on it okay peggy what are you trying to say i mean she like this this is actually very
00:24:41.920 interesting, given how AOC, who was being asked to defend Francesca Hong, made her comment about
00:24:46.820 how woke one was crazy. This is the type of thing that if AOC really believes, quote, woke one was
00:24:51.820 crazy, they would be against, right? If that's the reason they didn't want to endorse Francesca Hong,
00:24:57.080 Peggy Flanagan has leaned so hard into cultural left politics. Remember, because it was talked
00:25:04.140 about with Tim Walls, they were turning Minnesota into a sanctuary state for trans kids, which is
00:25:09.440 actually a really sinister plan and a really sinister policy. And so they were leaning. I mean, 0.63
00:25:16.100 this was something that they saw as in Minnesota, part of actually, it's interesting, because this
00:25:21.800 is what Francesca Hong was also kind of trying to prove that you can be cultural left and populist
00:25:26.420 left. And both will kind of lift you at the same time that you don't have to ditch cultural leftism
00:25:32.340 to be successful as a kind of in Minnesota, it's DFL, but as a populist Democrat. And I mean,
00:25:39.000 And Michelle Tafoya is going to put that to the test. It's structurally so hard for a Republican
00:25:43.380 to win in Minnesota. The time is more ripe than it has been in a long time in Minnesota for a
00:25:48.920 Republican to win. She's obviously, we had her on After Party right after she announced,
00:25:52.440 and she's obviously a good candidate because she's not hardcore in a way that'll turn off
00:25:59.020 some of the independent swing mom types in the Minneapolis suburbs who might be looking at Peggy
00:26:04.940 Flanagan in the dagger shirt and thinking, hell no, I can't get behind this woman. I'm not voting
00:26:11.320 for that. Like, it's going to be a real problem for them. Also, the Dem primary was over abolish
00:26:15.740 ICE. Like, that's what the Dem primary was basically coming down to. It was about, literally,
00:26:20.800 it was about Angie Craig supporting the Lakin-Riley Act. That's how she was distancing herself from
00:26:26.360 her moderate opponent. So in the general election, swing voters are really going to be up for grabs
00:26:31.760 for Michelle Tafoya. I think so, too. And they they underestimate her at their own peril because
00:26:37.160 she's extremely likable. She is a lifelong Minnesotan. She understands how they think and
00:26:42.880 what their values are. And she she has been making the pitch like I get it. This state has swung too
00:26:49.260 far to the radical left. And I I am not a Trump sycophant. She was out there. She didn't. She
00:26:56.500 kind of kept Trump at a distance. She didn't get the endorsement, I think, by design, you know,
00:26:59.920 intentionally and has said to the Minnesota voters, I'll stand up to Trump, which, you know,
00:27:06.520 Trump's core faithful may not like, but you have to understand she's got to play the long game here.
00:27:10.620 Like the Minnesota voters are not going to put somebody in office who's just a Trump rubber
00:27:14.680 stamp. You got to have somebody like Michelle Tafoya, who's like, I will be fiercely independent
00:27:19.100 looking out for you. That's the kind of Republican that could win in Minnesota. So it would be
00:27:24.240 genuinely exciting if she were to win. I'm I'm very much rooting for Michelle and really hope
00:27:29.700 they do the right thing there. Um, okay. So that's, I mean, overall, that's how things went
00:27:34.980 last night at the DSA is nutty. They continue to demonstrate their nuttiness. Um, the new tactic
00:27:40.860 is to tie El Sayed and everybody else to Hassan Piker, who's the most radical outspoken leftist
00:27:47.020 in America. I think it's fair to say at least one with a, with a platform, he's a true crazy 0.96
00:27:52.260 loon, like the stuff he's saying about how America deserved nine 11. And, uh, he wipes his ass with 1.00
00:27:57.780 the Constitution. I mean, we could be here all day, but we are starting as Republicans to play 0.99
00:28:02.640 the games that the Democrats play. Like, do you disavow? Disavow. Do it. Disavow. And so far,
00:28:09.500 like El Sayed, who campaigned with Hassan Piker, is saying, I'm not I'm not doing that. Like,
00:28:13.620 thanks, but no. But the heat is getting turned up so high around this Hassan Piker. It's kind 1.00
00:28:19.160 of interesting to me to see whether he'll be able to hold that line all the way up to election day,
00:28:25.040 because I don't know anything about Hassan Piker.
00:28:27.360 I've got to be honest. 0.60
00:28:28.000 I know he's Cenk Uyghur's nephew. 1.00
00:28:30.040 I know he says very crazy shit. 1.00
00:28:32.040 I know he kicked his dog on a live feed. 1.00
00:28:34.840 Allegedly buzzed the collar.
00:28:36.460 Zapping him.
00:28:37.300 He totally buzzed the dog.
00:28:38.960 I did watch that.
00:28:39.800 I completely believe he was shocking his dog
00:28:42.580 and just seems like a very unwell person to me.
00:28:45.640 I've got to be honest, but whatever.
00:28:46.960 What do I know?
00:28:49.180 But it is, I also don't love the game of like disavow.
00:28:54.800 It's just it's there's it's a turnoff to me when either side does it.
00:28:59.300 You know who also hates that?
00:29:00.260 I think increasingly as voters, they want to hear what you are going to do in office.
00:29:05.560 They are not interested in this.
00:29:07.800 And I get why politicians are tempted to do it and campaigns are tempted to do it.
00:29:12.420 But institutional trust is at record lows basically across the board in this country.
00:29:16.380 And so if you are acting like a gatekeeper, you are reminding people that they don't trust
00:29:21.840 the gatekeepers.
00:29:22.540 And so actually, I think it's a big turnoff for voters. I think it's now a major political mistake. I was at the, walking around the convention center at the 2024 Dem convention, and the young Dems flocking to Piker was crazy.
00:29:39.080 Like it was he was Justin Bieber at the convention, even as they were nominating Kamala Harris, someone who was like much more moderate and has been criticized really sharply by Hassan Piker.
00:29:50.560 That was years ago before he was as popular as he is right now.
00:29:54.260 So the disavowal thing, I think just it reeks of being like a politician as usual and a gatekeeper.
00:30:03.080 And that's lame to leftist behavior.
00:30:05.480 It's lame to people.
00:30:06.360 It's Francesca Hong behavior.
00:30:07.980 It is. It's like, OK, if Hassan Piker runs for office, he's going to get it both barrels.
00:30:13.740 You know, we're we'll go after him. We'll play every single soundbite. But like, I don't know.
00:30:19.240 Like Cenk Uygur was defending the association and whatever. I don't I don't know if I'm phrasing it right.
00:30:25.200 But he was on Piers Morgan the other day saying, well, why don't you ask some of these candidates why they associate with Benjamin Netanyahu, who, you know, millions of people believe has committed a genocide?
00:30:35.180 Why don't you ask that question? Why is it just this guy's incendiary comments from his microphone that are relevant? Like, you really could play this game forever, which is why I'm not interested. If Hassan Piker runs for office, he's in trouble.
00:30:48.920 And as a politician, people want to know what you think, right?
00:30:52.180 Like, do you think that America deserved 9-11?
00:30:55.060 If they haven't said that they think that or given anybody an indication to think that,
00:30:58.480 this kid's a Twitch streamer who's like entertaining people for clicks.
00:31:02.060 So if you have no reason to believe that they think that,
00:31:04.500 the game is convoluted and hard for voters to follow.
00:31:07.820 Especially if you're an older politician and you're looking to get younger people interested in you,
00:31:11.580 and then, you know, this is why you've associated with this guy
00:31:13.880 or you want him to be talking about you to his followers,
00:31:16.820 i can understand why you think it might make sense i think it's disgusting i think what he says and 0.95
00:31:21.640 he did say that shit about 9 11 and i but i don't believe him that he takes it back i think he meant 0.95
00:31:25.900 it um but whatever um it's it's going to be the democrats problem who associated with him okay 0.98
00:31:32.160 let's keep going um there is well my team would like you to see this soundbite from hassan piker
00:31:38.640 who tried to defend the thanksgiving lady as follows sought for guys the thanksgiving gate
00:31:44.520 is not as consequential as you think it is
00:31:46.560 please Thanksgiving gate does not
00:31:48.480 factor into the equation her
00:31:50.300 you know less than
00:31:52.780 less than fantastic debate
00:31:54.580 performance where there was not
00:31:56.560 a lot of antagonism no one was
00:31:58.520 attacking her she didn't like shine
00:32:00.600 in the election at a time when more and
00:32:02.540 more people are starting to pay close attention to the
00:32:04.400 races my mom made
00:32:06.580 me warm me some pasta 1.00
00:32:08.420 from the other night what a fucking 0.99
00:32:10.380 night this has been bro 0.98
00:32:11.620 So I don't have the fullest grasp of this.
00:32:15.400 I hate my big chunk. 0.99
00:32:16.280 There are some irregularities in the stupid reporting process. 1.00
00:32:23.960 So he's got a lot going on. 1.00
00:32:27.620 What's there to disavow?
00:32:31.440 Sure, that's just as controversial as he gets.
00:32:33.900 Not not.
00:32:35.320 We could be here all day for playing controversial soundbites from him.
00:32:37.800 But yeah, he's eating pasta from his mom.
00:32:39.460 So relatable, relatable, Emily.
00:32:40.880 although it's been a long time since my mom's been cooking my meals gotta be honest well i
00:32:45.200 saw on instagram that i'm cooking my own now and starting small starting small fires in my home
00:32:52.620 did you see i saw it on instagram i immediately uh sent it to my boyfriend and i was like at least
00:32:58.400 i don't do this can i tell you what happened it was it was a nightmare so i don't know if
00:33:04.720 the audience is familiar but um i posted on my instagram there it is oh my team had it at the
00:33:09.380 ready. I didn't even tell them to. Um, that's the fire department inside my home. Three of them in
00:33:16.680 all, there were five here and the big truck and then the little trucks too. And, um, it all started
00:33:23.740 because I tried to cook a chicken cutlet, a breaded chicken cutlet, like in Panko. And you
00:33:29.900 have to put it in, I put it in a cast iron frying pan with oil, not, not a ton of oil, but it did
00:33:35.780 start to smoke and I had, it's the problem is it was an, it's a relatively new stove and the
00:33:41.900 little, like the smoke, the fan thing, it's supposed to go on automatically and it didn't go on. And I
00:33:48.960 think it's because I turned it off. I think it was annoying me and I turned it off. So then the smoke
00:33:55.420 got out of control. I guess I didn't really pay attention and the smoke alarms went off and they
00:34:00.560 went off everywhere, which makes sense because if you actually have a fire, you want to let everybody
00:34:04.220 in the house know that there's a fire, but everywhere they were going off and loud and
00:34:08.900 like it was, and some of them speak and say, fire, fire, fire, which there wasn't. And so
00:34:15.100 I'm running around it, like trying to get the smoke out to opening up the windows and opening
00:34:18.560 up the doors. And, um, the dogs are going crazy because it's so piercingly loud just as a human
00:34:24.820 ear, nevermind to a dog ear. So I let him out on the side lawn, which Strudwick is not allowed to
00:34:30.560 do because he's so such a menace and the pool is there. And that dog cannot be near that pool
00:34:36.520 because he will not just go in the pool that I can handle, but he loves to rub himself in the
00:34:42.080 dirt and then run all around the hardscape and the furniture that we have out there, 0.99
00:34:46.560 which is the pain in the ass to clean. Anyway, I had to do it. The dogs are out. The fire 0.99
00:34:53.000 department came. Oh, I mean, if, if there had been like a five alarm fire, this fireman would
00:34:58.220 not have been dressed any differently. They had every piece of gear on Emily, every single piece
00:35:02.060 at the, and they, they got to the door. I opened up the door and they clearly saw there was no
00:35:06.780 fire and they go, did you try to cook? They had a feeling. Yes. I thought we're running around
00:35:14.900 trying to override the system. We can't try to turn off the electricity, which we did. Then you
00:35:20.460 turn back on the electricity. The alarm started up again. Finally, we got in touch with the alarm
00:35:24.520 guy who showed me how to turn it off. And it finally went off and they left. We took pictures.
00:35:31.300 They let me sit in the fire truck. That was fun. Like you're in kindergarten. Come on, Megan.
00:35:36.500 You can take a ride. They're like, do you want to sit in the fire truck? I'm like, kind of.
00:35:39.980 So they let me and then we they wanted some selfies. So I gave him selfies and I want a
00:35:43.680 selfie with them. So they gave me one. And then then I go outside. Strudwick is the disaster I
00:35:50.760 knew he would be. The whole lawn, it was torn up. There was dirt everywhere. He had gotten into some
00:35:56.720 old food that my kids had left out there. He was rolling in the dirt in the flower bed, right out
00:36:01.940 of, out of the pool, wet and rolling in the dirt and then running all over the furniture. I'm like,
00:36:06.280 get inside, get back inside. So I get them back inside. And then I finally turned back to the
00:36:11.120 chicken. I had nine chicken breasts. I was going to make these to get the whole family through the
00:36:15.760 weekend. You know, I was like, you can have it for dinner on the go, or you can have it for lunch
00:36:19.740 if you need something we eat so badly when we're at the beach so i whatever so nine chicken breasts
00:36:25.720 and i had cut them in half so i had 18 i had two that were cooked two and i come back in to start
00:36:35.900 to see the mess and see what they're now all covered in flies from my open windows and my
00:36:43.140 open doors which i don't have any screens why don't i have any screens emily so then i they
00:36:48.740 all had to go in the garbage. I threw them all out and I went out to dinner. My husband was out
00:36:55.920 with doing this weird sports Olympics things with his friends, but I went out with some friends who
00:37:00.820 were like, come here. And they gave me a nice cocktail. We had a delicious dinner, but I was
00:37:05.200 like, cooking is not for me. I mean, it's not for me. I thought for sure you would actually started
00:37:11.040 a fire. So in a way that story is actually vindicating and redeeming. You did not start a
00:37:17.520 fire. This is the alarm system's fault that you didn't do anything wrong. Maybe you should have
00:37:23.460 remembered to turn the fan on, but you didn't start a fire. You were fine. Yes. It all boils
00:37:28.380 down to the new stove that insists on like going off automatically. And the reason I turn it down
00:37:34.580 is because you will boil an egg, which makes no smoke. And it will suddenly go turn on to like
00:37:41.640 number five and it's loud. You're like, oh my God, what's happening? And that level was needed
00:37:46.660 while I was doing the chicken, but I had already turned it down. And I guess once you turn it down,
00:37:51.920 it stays down. I don't, I don't understand my new stove. Um, I don't, there are, there are limits to
00:37:58.760 the short list of gifts that God gave me and not one is present inside the culinary arts. It's very
00:38:06.920 sad. I've tried so many times. My audience knows my only regret on my whole kitchen snafu was that
00:38:12.400 my dear mother-in-law was not alive to enjoy this because my kitchen follies were among her
00:38:19.380 favorite thing in life. And I would have loved to have had a laugh with her over it. Anyway. Okay.
00:38:23.980 So that's a long digression. That's not actually what I wanted to talk to you about next. I don't
00:38:27.480 even remember how we got there. I wanted to talk to you. I don't either. Um, this is a different
00:38:31.740 kind of five alarm fire in Massachusetts. They've now passed an abortion law allowing abortion all 1.00
00:38:39.820 the way up to birth, all the way through the ninth month, the 40th week of pregnancy and the
00:38:46.440 signing ceremony with this Maura Healy, the Democrat governor there, looks like they are
00:38:52.600 signing a bill to give children a lifetime supply of chocolate. Do we have the video?
00:38:58.800 Can we watch this? It's deeply disturbing. Here, watch.
00:39:09.820 oh my god all these women are so grateful to her for the chance to kill their own unborn child
00:39:19.280 up to birth let me just say something i'm like i don't talk about abortion a lot in this show i
00:39:23.660 just it's such a deeply personal issue and like i just i i try to avoid it i just think it raises
00:39:29.540 too much emotions and my old school journalist inside of me is like that's not something i
00:39:33.680 should be opining on. But the ninth month, you've got to be kidding me. This is barbaric. And just
00:39:42.060 as a reminder, OK, just as a reminder, here is what Kamala Harris has had to say when she was
00:39:51.000 running for president about the notion that Democrats want abortion all the way up to the
00:39:58.240 ninth month. Let's start with 15B. They say that allows Democrats to perform abortions up until,
00:40:04.560 you know, birth, which is ridiculous. Ridiculous. Here's 15C, Biden and Kamala Harris on this issue. 0.99
00:40:12.600 We are not for late term abortion, period, period, period. Nowhere in America is a woman 1.00
00:40:19.380 carrying a pregnancy to term and asking for an abortion. That is not happening. It's insulting
00:40:26.560 to the women of america and massachusetts is the 10th state they're all blue states 0.91
00:40:33.700 to allow this with the cheering female crowds all around this governor as she gives permission to
00:40:41.140 to murder a 40-week-old baby in uterus it's awful did you notice they were wearing pink it reminded
00:40:48.020 me many of them were clearly intentionally coordinating to wear pink which reminded me
00:40:52.100 of when Andrew Cuomo lit up the Empire State Building pink, I believe, after signing a similar
00:40:58.060 bill. If I'm remembering correctly, it was after signing a similar bill. And I went and read the
00:41:02.460 language of this Massachusetts bill this morning. And this is the logical extension of their
00:41:08.520 position on abortion. So it's no wonder that they're happy about it. What it does is totally 0.86
00:41:12.500 remove state limits on why someone could receive a late-term abortion, meaning it says it is
00:41:19.940 entirely up to the discretion of the patient and the physician. Now, the New Yorker and the Atlantic
00:41:25.040 have profiled a man who does late-term abortions. He specializes in late-term abortions in Colorado
00:41:31.120 in recent years. I think he's in the Denver area. He said the majority of the abortions that he does
00:41:35.840 are of healthy babies. There's a complete misconception because a lot of times, actually,
00:41:40.560 the Massachusetts law, interestingly enough, I went and read it this morning, one of the things
00:41:45.560 that they have in it was already that you could have a mental illness or a mental health reason
00:41:50.720 for wanting to get an abortion in the ninth month. And that is actually where a lot of people who
00:41:55.240 don't have legitimate health problems with carrying the baby to term, that's a clear loophole. And
00:42:01.180 that's the fact check that allows the corporate media and Kamala Harris and Joe Biden to say,
00:42:04.940 we're not for full, we're not for a late term abortion, because when you have the mental health
00:42:08.560 exemption in it, that can be abused wildly. And it is, frankly, we've seen it many times
00:42:13.340 or out. It's an exception that swallows the rule. Yep. Yep, exactly. So this is very dark and late
00:42:21.460 term abortion in this country is actually not even controversial. Virtually everyone's against
00:42:25.440 it. I mean, it's just only these loons would favor such a thing. And honestly, at that point
00:42:32.340 in your pregnancy, there are very few things that actually pose a threat to the life of the mother.
00:42:38.020 I mean, I think Lila Rose would tell you at that point, whatever happens, you would just give birth
00:42:43.160 to the baby, they would do what they could to keep the baby alive. But the answer in that far
00:42:48.140 along in a pregnancy is not to kill the baby. It's to give birth to the baby, do what you can
00:42:53.660 to save the baby and save the mother as well. And that brings me to the saga of McKenna West,
00:42:59.340 whose story we broke here in the national media on Thursday. She is the surrogate mom from Alaska
00:43:07.360 who's pregnant with a baby who's due on September 2nd, a little boy she's calling Gabriel.
00:43:13.160 whose biological parents have hired her to be their surrogate. They're from California.
00:43:19.100 And baby Gabriel was diagnosed with a heart defect, a congenital heart defect at age 20 weeks.
00:43:26.800 And the parents told her to abort him. And she refused, even though the surrogacy contract says
00:43:32.780 they can dictate when to have an abortion. When the rubber met the road, she couldn't do it.
00:43:38.100 and she refused to abort him, and now he's almost due.
00:43:41.380 And they're in a massive legal battle
00:43:43.380 that is taking center stage in this country
00:43:45.420 about who's going to dictate care when he's born.
00:43:49.540 Because what he has is this heart condition
00:43:52.200 that if you get three surgeries,
00:43:54.620 one right after birth, one, I think, a year or two after,
00:43:57.360 and then one right after that, is very survivable.
00:43:59.920 You actually can survive and have a thriving life.
00:44:03.160 We showed video of a little boy who had it
00:44:05.280 on our show on Thursday.
00:44:07.600 And she's moved to Texas for now, where the law is very good on this issue.
00:44:13.800 And Ken Paxton, who is running for Senate down there for John Cornyn's old seat, he
00:44:21.440 stepped in because he's the attorney general and argued on McKenna's behalf and said,
00:44:25.480 this baby deserves a guardian ad litem, somebody to argue for the baby's rights himself.
00:44:29.580 And the family, the parents, the biological parents should be forced to provide life-saving
00:44:35.340 care once this infant is born because there was a question about whether those parents are prepared
00:44:39.240 to just provide palliative care like let him die comfortably or actually provide the surgery
00:44:46.980 that could save his life and now there's been a court ruling we were waiting for it yesterday
00:44:51.000 saying this child will be given life-saving treatment if he needs it upon birth but
00:44:56.700 recognizing the biological parents as the parents so it's not yet done we're still awaiting more
00:45:04.160 court rulings on this, Emily, but we are in a fierce fight here that's going to affect Ken
00:45:07.880 Paxton's probable Senate run. It's going to affect the right to life in this country,
00:45:12.880 and it's going absolutely to affect surrogacy in this country.
00:45:16.220 Absolutely it is. And this puts, again, to the test the idea that abortion is about,
00:45:22.040 totally about women's bodily autonomy. That is the left's position. That's exactly why you see
00:45:26.820 bills like the one in Massachusetts being signed so proudly. Because if you really do believe that,
00:45:32.280 if you believe that a woman's bodily autonomy is a right that is higher than the right to life,
00:45:39.140 then of course you have to defend this. You have to defend this vigorously and you have to defend
00:45:43.160 this proudly. But we know just the fact that we know this little baby has a congenital heart
00:45:48.200 defect tells us how developed he is. He has a beautiful little life that is already bringing
00:45:52.640 joy to the woman who is carrying him. He has equal dignity to you and me. And our government
00:45:57.980 doesn't recognize it depending on the state that you're in. So these cases, I mean, technology is
00:46:02.780 pushing the abortion question into a much more interesting place, I think, because it's starting
00:46:07.560 to challenge some of what we thought we knew about what happens in the body and how we develop as
00:46:13.520 human beings in utero. But people need to go back and watch your interview if they haven't, even
00:46:18.700 just focusing on some of the cases of people who have survived these congenital heart defects and
00:46:23.260 went on to to be beautiful living breathing humans just like you and me um it's hard to even talk
00:46:29.280 about but i hope people do confront the challenges of this case because it does put to test if you
00:46:33.780 really believe this is about a woman's bodily autonomy what you're saying is that's more
00:46:37.060 important than this little baby's life which is already in existence human and alive that's a
00:46:42.740 human life meets those two criteria as christopher hitchens said actually uh famously if if these
00:46:48.460 biological parents don't want him. Let let a parent or a family that does have him. You just
00:46:54.840 wanted him aborted. You just said you wanted him killed. Now he's not killed. He's going to be 1.00
00:47:00.420 born. Why don't just give him up? Just like McKenna said, her brother wants to adopt him.
00:47:05.280 Lila Rose was here, too. She's got lots of families who would adopt him. They'll they'll
00:47:08.980 help with the medical issues, all of that. You don't have to worry about the money.
00:47:12.880 Just just give him up. Stop. Stop with this, like to fight for custody for him, just so that
00:47:18.300 he could be allowed to die which is still on the table potentially the parents haven't said much
00:47:23.840 publicly at this point the biological um so we are continuing to follow this because we're the
00:47:28.580 baby's born the baby's due to be born on september 2nd and there's precious little time to make sure
00:47:33.080 this legal fight gets resolved the right that's basically all right and it should be treated as
00:47:37.500 such it's deeply disturbing i'm like and now we know this baby now it's a baby boy his name is
00:47:42.760 gabriel he has a mother right now carrying him to term and a court has stepped in to recognize his
00:47:48.100 rights, his right to life as he's about to be born. It just cannot be. And honestly,
00:47:55.620 it just is a political matter. These Democrats should not want it to be that these biological 1.00
00:48:00.860 parents are allowed to take him and just watch him die, watch him suffer and die.
00:48:05.500 You might already own a firearm, but what if you could start with less lethal methods to avoid the
00:48:11.580 financial and mental repercussions of pulling the trigger? This is where Burna comes in. I love
00:48:16.860 Burna, B-Y-R-N-A. Burna's less lethal launchers are equipped with tear gas and kinetic ammo,
00:48:24.220 and they're designed to incapacitate an attacker for up to 40 minutes. And by the way, you don't
00:48:29.280 have to actually hit the attacker for Burna to work. If you hit the wall right behind the attacker,
00:48:35.640 they could still be incapacitated due to all of the gases that will overcome them. So I like that
00:48:42.560 if you're not a great shop.
00:48:44.240 And Berna is excited to introduce
00:48:45.680 the all-new Compact Launcher.
00:48:47.480 It's sleek, it's slim, it hits like a sledgehammer,
00:48:50.560 but it's the same size as a smartphone,
00:48:52.820 so it will pop right into your purse.
00:48:55.220 And women, for example, can conceal carry everywhere
00:48:57.760 comfortably and with confidence.
00:48:59.940 It fires at 400 feet per second.
00:49:02.200 That's a lot of power to stop aggressors in their tracks.
00:49:05.260 And their pistols are American-made
00:49:07.260 and hand-assembled in Fort Wayne, Indiana,
00:49:08.940 with over 80% of the components in the Compact Launcher
00:49:12.040 being sourced in the USA. Burna is legal in all 50 states. Burna requires no background checks
00:49:19.320 and can be shipped directly to your door. And Burna is trusted by hundreds of police departments
00:49:24.160 too. Try before you buy. Visit Burna.com, B-Y-R-N-A.com. To find a Burna dealer partner near you,
00:49:31.440 that's B-Y-R-N-A.com.
00:49:34.280 Emily Jashinsky, host of After Party and the MK Wrap-Up Show, is back with me. Okay,
00:49:43.960 so we have to properly address my favorite story of the day. Has to do with Canada,
00:49:49.220 the evil top hat, misbehaving yet again. They have their own Miss Universe pageant,
00:49:55.800 just to start at the beginning again. They have their own Miss Universe pageant,
00:49:59.460 and it didn't go well. It happened last week. Things went way off the rails. Okay. Here's
00:50:08.040 how it got started. They decided to have a national costume segment. Now you're playing
00:50:17.200 with fire. My friends up North, you're playing with fire, right? I can speak to this personally.
00:50:23.520 Yeah. Be careful. If you're a woke Canadian, you don't want a national costume segment.
00:50:29.460 And you certainly don't want one whose goal is, quote, a celebration of Canadian culture and heritage combined with creativity.
00:50:38.980 It's not going to go well.
00:50:41.160 Each delegate must showcase a unique costume, dress or outfit inspired by Canada's traditions, symbols and history.
00:50:49.460 Now, a gal who's in the pageant, two gals, one named Carissa Haverkamp and one named Jasleen Kelly, took it very seriously.
00:50:59.980 Carissa wore a feather headdress
00:51:02.900 and a red handprint painted on her face,
00:51:05.600 which is a symbol representing solidarity
00:51:07.280 with the missing and murdered
00:51:08.960 indigenous women's movement.
00:51:11.700 Okay, that's the one gal there.
00:51:13.660 The other gal, that's the one on the right
00:51:15.280 with the headdress.
00:51:16.100 The one on the left is Jasleen Kelly,
00:51:19.420 whose costume was the theme Arctic Beauty,
00:51:22.520 featuring an all-fur dress and boots
00:51:25.000 known as mucklucks.
00:51:26.680 And here's the real sin, Emily. 0.85
00:51:29.460 two braids, WTF. She had the nerve to wear braids and the BBC would like us to know,
00:51:36.540 and I quote, hair braiding can have deep cultural meaning for first nations people. Okay. So you're
00:51:41.800 offending people by wearing braids. Jasleen is an interior design student model and humanitarian
00:51:47.900 advocate. She hopes to one day become a globally recognized interior designer and humanitarian
00:51:52.540 leader, proving that success is most meaningful when it is used to uplift others. So she's going
00:51:57.640 to find you a home if you're homeless and then design it for you and make it I don't like I'm
00:52:04.000 not sure how you combine those two but that's she didn't get off to the right on the right foot
00:52:09.740 because the people who she wants to impress with her humanitarian commitments they're not going to
00:52:14.720 go for this jasmine let me tell you right now your braids your arctic beauty and your all fur dress
00:52:20.120 are a hard no but you don't have to take my word for it even though you should because I do have
00:52:25.500 experience in this department. Listen to previous Miss Universe winner out of Canada, Ashley
00:52:34.440 Calling Bull. And now the last name should tell you something about where this is going.
00:52:41.880 Calling Bull, which you could separate down to Calling Bull or Calling Bull, which is how she 0.99
00:52:49.520 sees it, um, had something to say about those outfits and those damn braids. She's a Plains 1.00
00:52:57.080 Cree woman from the Enoch Cree nation. And she was out there as a co-host of the event. She won
00:53:02.900 back in 2024. So she's standing next to this dude named Sonny Borelli, who's the national director
00:53:07.620 of Miss Universe Canada. And they're doing something else in the pageant. She's, she has
00:53:13.280 not been asked to come out there and comment on or judge the costume segment at all. They've moved
00:53:20.100 on. She actually is like a couple of days later and she's trying to help co-officiate, co-host
00:53:26.040 this pageant. She hijacks it to interject her opinions on the costume segment that happened
00:53:35.300 days earlier. Let me do it this way because she first decided to go on the radio, which no one
00:53:39.980 asked her to do and start bitching about the pageant she was co-hosting, letting everyone 0.99
00:53:44.800 know that Calling Bull had some real problems with the way shit was going down. 0.99
00:53:49.500 Here's the radio segment first. 0.99
00:53:51.000 I felt like I was educating them and giving them hell at the same time because I needed
00:53:57.060 them to understand how bad this was and how much it affects other people.
00:54:03.080 and i'm glad i got the message across but it was uh it was heavy on me it was really heavy on my
00:54:13.080 heart okay i i i me me me she was apparently for the costume segment not in the arena she saw it
00:54:21.420 online she was outraged she called into her own pageant to to educate them and also to give them
00:54:27.740 hell, you might say, call bull on what they had done. And so she felt she was so outraged. She
00:54:33.060 had to call into the local radio station to shit on the competition that she was the queen of. 0.98
00:54:37.480 I mean, 2024, your reign is over, but whatever. And then she's just supposed to do her duties. 0.98
00:54:43.660 And as you know, just like with the Oscars or the Grammys, airtime on the stage is precious.
00:54:50.600 Everything you say comes at the expense of something else they had in the rundown,
00:54:55.340 calling bull. If you had spent any time in television, you would know that she just she
00:55:01.240 went on this. Her hijacking went on. I couldn't believe how long it was. It's too long for me to
00:55:06.740 play the whole thing. We cut it down to one minute. Here is the one minute that we cut from
00:55:11.500 what was like a three minute speech she gave. Watch. I have the envelope and we're going to
00:55:16.400 call our top 20. Before we do that, Sonny, I wanted to acknowledge something. If we can turn
00:55:21.700 the music down just a little bit. So with Miss Universe Canada, me being the first Indigenous
00:55:28.460 First Nations Miss Universe Canada, that was such a huge honor. I wanted to acknowledge this. During
00:55:35.180 the national competition, the costume competition, there was cultural appropriation that was done
00:55:40.360 towards Indigenous peoples. And with Sonny, he took action by listening to me. I feel that it's
00:55:46.180 my responsibility to also give you an opportunity to say something to the indigenous community
00:55:52.060 because yes there was a statement but and i'm sorry it goes so far yes on behalf of all of us
00:55:58.920 at miss universe canada it was not our intent to offend anybody and if we did we take full
00:56:03.480 responsibility we will learn from it we will make it better we will make it right we love you we
00:56:08.320 love canada and that's why we're here yes and what i and hold on and and we're going to take
00:56:13.640 another step further i uh reached out uh to ashley we'd like to invite you to be the official
00:56:19.480 liaison to our costume competition moving forward we apologize again we love you now that we are
00:56:25.020 celebrating people's cultures let's celebrate who's making it into the top 20 right oh my god
00:56:32.260 she's good she is insufferable so how about that right all right now we're going to call the top 0.96
00:56:39.120 20 before we do that turn the music down by the way i love that they didn't they didn't they
00:56:45.160 clearly did not want her to interrupt this way it was cultural appropriation sunny you took action
00:56:51.560 but you need after listening to me but your statement wasn't good enough because this poor
00:56:56.920 guy sunny of course is with his man bun i don't feel bad they're apologizing since it happened i
00:57:02.260 don't feel bad no me neither um now the two girls had to had to issue statements have her camp i
00:57:08.300 acknowledge and recognize that my outfit for the national costume caused hurt and offense to people
00:57:12.140 in the indigenous community. I'm proud of my own great grandmother and her resilience and how much
00:57:16.500 she was there for my dad and desire to share that with Canada and the world. I appreciate what I've
00:57:19.980 learned from this experience. Blah, blah, blah. Self-flagellation. Then the other gal, Kaylee,
00:57:24.140 my intention was never to disrespect or misrepresent indigenous culture, but rather
00:57:27.740 to recognize and celebrate one of the first peoples of Canada. Everyone's sorry. Miss Universe Canada,
00:57:32.120 they apologized and thanked calling bull. We've recently received feedback regarding some of the
00:57:37.380 national costumes. We want to address this directly and sincerely. If any costume caused
00:57:41.360 offense, hurt, or misunderstanding, please know it was never our intention. This segment was
00:57:45.440 intended to celebrate creativity, heritage, and identity. However, we recognize that every design
00:57:49.540 requires deep care, respect, and continuous evaluation. A special thank you to our former
00:57:54.520 Miss Universe Canada, Ashley Collingville, for her guidance, advice, and assistance on how best
00:57:59.200 to address and resolve this. To ensure that this doesn't happen again, now we're going to have a
00:58:03.860 comprehensive costume guide the guide will establish clear guidelines and standards for
00:58:07.980 all future pageant cycles to ensure every presentation is thoughtful and respectful
00:58:12.240 and lo and behold ashley calling bull will run the costume segment from here
00:58:17.240 so you can wear what like i don't know little cat ears and a tail i'm like what are you going 0.98
00:58:26.320 to be able to get away with now because you come anywhere close to like a fucking braid 0.98
00:58:32.800 and you're out of there uh you know my favorite kind of meghan kelly show segment is a segment 0.99
00:58:40.420 in which meghan kelly cracks meghan kelly up i guess you're reading the details of the story
00:58:47.280 you were like losing it and it's funny because five years ago we would all have been expected
00:58:53.300 to treat this like a serious controversy because actually there would have been like boycotts
00:58:57.740 organized and the organization itself would have had to have pretended to care about this and like
00:59:03.300 yes they are pretending to care about whatever but it would have been yeah you could get fired
00:59:06.840 thank god nobody did thank god nobody did diana ross thank god that was exactly the universe
00:59:15.480 dodged a bullet and that this is the silver line now you you will be allowed to appear as a maple
00:59:22.000 belief only. That will be the new costume competition. It's so absurd. Like, and back
00:59:29.760 to the damn braid thing. I was just saying this. Remember, right. You heard this the other day 1.00
00:59:34.680 when we weren't allowed to put braids at all, because you were considered a racist. If you go
00:59:38.400 down to the Caribbean, all these women, the local women are like, Oh, can I braid your hair? And 1.00
00:59:43.160 like, they make $40 if you let them do it. No, if you say yes, and you put $40 in a black woman's 1.00
00:59:49.220 pocket down in the Bahamas to break your head. You're a racist for doing that. You help a black 1.00
00:59:53.400 woman out by giving her the 40 bucks to let her do something she's great at. Fuck you, racist. 1.00
00:59:58.120 That's how it is. And yet, like, so this girl's trying to honor. She's like featuring the 1.00
01:00:03.740 indigenous, you know, culture at the Miss Universe, like calling attention to it. God bless these
01:00:09.080 people. This is how the native dance and let's celebrate. No, you're a racist. You apologize.
01:00:15.700 The pageant will humiliate you.
01:00:17.700 The person who's humiliating you will be made the new boss of the whole costume segment.
01:00:23.540 It's the self-flagellation is stomach turning.
01:00:26.900 It genuinely creates acid in my stomach.
01:00:29.940 I mean, the implications of Ashley calling Bull's argument, which is just about herself.
01:00:35.680 She's using this as a virtue signal.
01:00:37.260 She's using this as a fashion statement.
01:00:39.320 Like she's using this as an ideological fashion statement.
01:00:42.040 You can tell, by the way, she keeps saying me.
01:00:43.820 But the implication is actually rather offensive to minorities, to indigenous folks in Canada, as Francesca Hong would say, because it makes them out to be perpetual victims who are so fragile and weak that they they are deeply offended by cultural appropriation.
01:01:02.260 It's hurtful to them because they saw people dress in indigenous costumes at a Miss Universe pageant.
01:01:09.760 They're not watching the Miss Universe pageant.
01:01:11.540 As opposed to an honor.
01:01:12.700 Yeah.
01:01:13.300 Every normal person, whatever their culture is, if you see somebody else celebrating it, 0.95
01:01:17.580 these girls weren't like shitting on native Canadians, I guess it is, indigenous at all. 0.54
01:01:22.940 They were like celebrating, saying this is a thing of beauty. 0.96
01:01:25.600 Let's celebrate them in a gorgeous way.
01:01:28.040 These are, you know, stunning model types up there.
01:01:30.680 No, everything's got to be offensive, right?
01:01:32.920 It's like, so, okay, the solution is we won't celebrate you at all. 0.99
01:01:38.960 We will never honor your culture. 1.00
01:01:41.200 We will never teach our children about the way that your people lived or have the day in school where they can go into a teepee and, you know, dress in sort of indigenous robes or no, hell no.
01:01:54.660 They'll all be called little racists.
01:01:56.040 We're just going to skip right over that. And your culture will get slowly but surely forgotten because there aren't enough of you to keep it going without some other peoples to then also discuss it and possibly wear it and celebrate it. Like there's just not enough of you. So let's just do the math. It's just it's so absurd. I can't believe we're still playing this game. Canada is so lost. Debbie, why do you live there? Why? Why?
01:02:26.040 You moved there and you won't come back. 1.00
01:02:28.500 You just kept having Canadian children. 1.00
01:02:31.160 Now you're stuck up there 0.97
01:02:32.300 with the Melody Wisehearts of the world.
01:02:34.160 Oh, the kids are Canadians.
01:02:35.720 Debbie. 0.73
01:02:36.820 Yeah, yeah. 1.00
01:02:37.760 She not only married a damn Canadian, 1.00
01:02:39.840 she gave birth to damn Canadians. 1.00
01:02:41.960 And now she's stuck up there. 1.00
01:02:43.740 Now she's talking about their national healthcare
01:02:45.700 and like how the system's working.
01:02:48.160 I don't even know what to do with her.
01:02:49.700 Okay, but I love her.
01:02:52.080 Equally outrageous behavior down here in our country
01:02:55.400 from the WNBA. This is the last segment. We've got to get to this though.
01:02:59.420 You don't wait until your house is on fire to install a smoke detector. You don't wait until
01:03:03.840 the wind and rain hammer your windows and the power goes out to prepare for a hurricane.
01:03:07.680 You don't reach for your seatbelt after you've had a crash because after the crash, the hurricane
01:03:12.640 or the house fire, it's all too late. Similarly, you do not wait until the dollar goes to zero
01:03:18.120 before you buy gold. It's too late then too. So consider diversifying with precious metals
01:03:24.120 right now, because you never know what will threaten your savings next. Persistent inflation,
01:03:29.880 we've all been feeling that, a weakening dollar, unexpected financial disruptions.
01:03:35.260 You don't know what's coming, but you can take a preventative step right now.
01:03:39.140 One option, requesting a free info kit on gold from Birch Gold Group. Just text my initials,
01:03:45.060 MK, to the number 989898. There is no cost. There is no obligation. They're not about pressuring you.
01:03:50.920 You will just get straightforward information on how you can diversify your savings, even an IRA or a 401k, if you're interested, with gold.
01:03:59.920 Birch Gold is a great option to consider.
01:04:02.200 Find out more by texting MK to the number 989898.
01:04:06.980 One of the moments that really changes how you think about your future is when you start taking responsibility for other people, right?
01:04:13.720 Whether it's getting married, buying a home, starting a family, you realize that planning ahead does matter.
01:04:19.440 And that is one of the reasons
01:04:20.320 I think life insurance is so important.
01:04:22.100 I know nobody wants to think about it,
01:04:23.600 but if you just think about it for a very short time
01:04:25.320 and take care of it,
01:04:26.000 then you don't have to think about it again, right?
01:04:28.140 Just having coverage can help provide financial security
01:04:31.520 for the people you care about most
01:04:33.020 if the unexpected happens.
01:04:35.120 I mean, it's not unexpected, it's expected,
01:04:37.020 just like the timing of it could surprise one.
01:04:40.100 Let me tell you about Ethos.
01:04:41.860 They make getting life insurance simple and convenient.

01:05:18.520 Hey everyone, it's me, Megan Kelly. I've got some exciting news.
01:05:22.760 I now have my very own channel on Sirius XM.
01:05:25.900 It's called the Megan Kelly Channel, and it is where you will hear the truth,
01:05:29.000 unfiltered, with no agenda, and no apologies.
01:05:32.060 Along with the Megan Kelly Show, you're going to hear from people like
01:05:34.320 Mark Halperin, Link Lauren, Maureen Callahan, Emily Jashinsky, Jesse Kelly,
01:05:38.900 Real Clear Politics, and many more.
01:05:41.400 It's bold, no BS news.
01:05:43.520 Only on the Megan Kelly Channel, Sirius XM 111, and on the Sirius XM app.
01:05:48.520 on the braids discussion yesterday on the show we were talking about this
01:05:56.500 dijon a carrington who plays for the sky and she'd committed this obviously intentional file
01:06:02.900 foul against sophie cunningham and could have really hurt her like got her by the neck
01:06:07.020 it was disturbing to see she got the play the flagrant two foul which meant she got ejected
01:06:12.900 from the game and then she tweeted white privilege from her locker room and added the indiana fever
01:06:17.700 but she tagged the indiana fever on it and she did it right after this happened it was so clear 0.99
01:06:23.340 what happened then when she started to get a bunch of shit for like how dare she call white 0.98
01:06:27.320 privilege in the wnba what come on she was like i never said it was about the foul or the fever 0.99
01:06:34.700 like no you literally did cc the fever on your comment and then started a lecture us in her 0.99
01:06:41.060 little post saying as follows uh because she went to school at stanford for some of this bullshit 0.99
01:06:47.680 African-American studies. I actually went to school, one of the top universities, I might add, 0.96
01:06:52.920 to educate myself on this exact subject. I would never use that term as a rhetorical weapon,
01:06:58.500 knowing the historical and social way it holds without having the proper evidence to substantiate
01:07:03.820 it. And she said that it's on the last thing from ignorant or asinine when it comes to speaking on 0.96
01:07:09.400 white privilege. Do your research on that one. Okay. Now, let me tell you something about this 0.99
01:07:16.080 girl. So first of all, two points, Jason Whitlock. I got a lot of thoughts. Jason Whitlock
01:07:20.980 tweeted out a full screen, a picture of Dijoné when she graduated from Stanford. Here it is.
01:07:28.980 And Dijoné now. And honestly, like, this is what got me talking about the braids. It's like,
01:07:34.200 look at her on the right. She's got hair that's whiter than mine, straighter than mine,
01:07:38.180 super long. It goes down to her butt now. And, but so she can wear this, which is obviously 0.98
01:07:44.080 white girl hair, but I can't wear a braid or I'm a racist, like, or in Canada, a feather.
01:07:50.620 No, you can't do it, but this is fine. She's allowed to culturally appropriate from, from me,
01:07:56.840 but I can't culturally appropriate from her because it only works one way in becoming a racist, 1.00
01:08:01.580 which is bullshit. But his point was more about, look at, look at how she looks now. Can you put 0.98
01:08:05.880 that back up there? Like she appears to have done something like to give herself filler face,
01:08:11.760 Like the super puffed out cheekbones, the like overly arched eyebrows, the like overly lined lips and like the tood, you know, with like the facial expression and the bright blonde hair, as opposed to the stunningly gorgeous person she was in the picture from Stanford, where she's just looks like a normal, gorgeous gal.
01:08:35.700 And Jason Whitlock, he's amazing. He posted on X quote, look at what the WNBA stole from us.
01:08:44.580 The young lady on the left is the dream of every black father and every black son. The woman on
01:08:50.700 the right is feminism's creation and a nightmare. DeJanae Carrington in both pictures, one in 0.78
01:08:57.460 college, the other in the WNBA. Right on. I totally agree with him. And it's also the place that she
01:09:04.320 started to talk like she talked in that post she sounded like a normal person in her videos from
01:09:10.420 Stanford and get this attitude right it was the WNBA that did this to her not Stanford which is
01:09:16.660 why you shouldn't send your daughter there this league corrupts you in a very sick and unhealthy
01:09:22.900 way and then one final point Emily her privilege claim okay this woman her dad was in the NFL
01:09:32.920 No, apparently was like really good. Standout safety in the NFL who played in two, not one, but two Super Bowls during his eight year professional career.
01:09:43.320 Her mother, Vicki, was a star track athlete. She attended Horizon Christian Academy, a private K through 12 school in San Diego.
01:09:52.180 It closed in 2018, but her tuition there averaged between eight and eleven thousand dollars a year, a year.
01:10:01.600 And this was back, you know, quite a few years ago when she was in grade school.
01:10:06.040 Modern day estimates would put that around $17,000 for kindergarten, up to $20,000 a
01:10:11.400 year for high school.
01:10:12.500 She became a highly touted prospect who played for elite programs.
01:10:15.360 She attended Stanford University and finished up her college career at Baylor.
01:10:19.920 I don't know about you, but I did not go to a fancy private school that cost 20 grand
01:10:25.640 a year or have both of my parents in the home since my dad died when I was 15.
01:10:31.040 both of them earning, both of them with enormous privilege, thanks to their incredible God-given
01:10:36.920 talents in the athletic field, one who was a double NFL Super Bowl player. How dare she
01:10:44.920 try to play the white privilege card? Actually, having two parents in your home is more predictive 0.78
01:10:52.500 as a privilege of getting good grades than is money. So that in and of itself, which sets her
01:10:59.480 apart from a lot, unfortunately, of Black kids in this country and white kids, too. But that,
01:11:04.820 of course, sets herself up. That sets her apart. And I think all of this just shows how shallow
01:11:09.660 the identity politics really are, because to your point about how it's only appropriation
01:11:14.600 when it's a white person appropriating minority culture, they would, if they were here, say,
01:11:20.900 yeah, absolutely. It's actually baked into the texts about intersectionality and cultural
01:11:25.280 appropriation that came out of academia in the 1980s and the 1990s particularly, they say you
01:11:32.740 can only commit cultural appropriation if you are from the race in power. But all of this shows,
01:11:37.800 even as we were just talking about having money, having two parents, it is not skin deep. And to
01:11:44.720 act like all of this is skin deep is racist in and of itself. It makes zero sense. And I'm so glad
01:11:51.420 that more and more people don't feel like
01:11:53.520 they have to take this stuff seriously 0.99
01:11:54.840 because it is utterly farcical and dumb 0.99
01:11:57.780 and makes no sense. 0.99
01:11:59.240 It is hilarious, but it makes no sense.
01:12:02.700 I'm very tempted to show up on the air tomorrow
01:12:05.460 with Jason Arday hair and see how that goes over.
01:12:09.780 Don't do that.
01:12:11.140 The dreads down to my knees.
01:12:14.200 I wonder how that'd go over.
01:12:15.740 Why could she have my hair, but I can't have her hair? 1.00
01:12:18.080 Honestly, it's like, it's such bullshit. 0.99
01:12:20.140 Meanwhile, I couldn't care less what color she dyes her hair or whether she straights. 0.99
01:12:23.620 Great, if that's what you think looks good, you do you.
01:12:26.060 I honestly don't care.
01:12:27.860 It's only this woke, scold type on the left that's ripping on the girls who wear the braids
01:12:33.880 and tweeting out white privilege that would chastise somebody for wearing a braid 0.88
01:12:39.100 or something that she considers just for black people. 0.88
01:12:42.160 It's just outrageous. 0.80
01:12:43.740 And now, while we're on the subject of the WNBA,
01:12:46.180 um the coach of the fever this stephanie white her first instinct was not to have sophie 0.97
01:12:53.780 cunningham's back and say holy shit this dijon a character almost you know broke her neck it was
01:13:00.140 to say nay she's gonna get in there she's gonna defend that basket she's not just gonna let you 0.94
01:13:05.080 run in there and do a layup and i don't think this was intentional you know it's with the hard
01:13:10.400 foul. Okay. Whatever. But like, I, this wasn't intentional. Like, what are you saying? Yeah.
01:13:15.360 It obviously was everybody else on earth disagrees with you. And why don't you have the back of your
01:13:21.420 player, Stephanie? This woman, Stephanie is very bizarre. Whenever she talks to me, 1.00
01:13:26.360 she sounds like she's trying to like sound like a tough guy or like, like a man. I think this is
01:13:31.220 what the WNBA does to you. You lose all feminine femininity. And you think that like to be cool
01:13:35.960 or an authority figure. You have to act like a man or like a foul-mouthed person. Now, I come by
01:13:42.780 my foul mouth authentically. It's authentic. You're Irish. Okay. And I practiced law for 10
01:13:49.720 years. That's really where it happened. But anyway, you can see she's using it to like sound
01:13:55.460 tough in the following clip. And she's now pissed. They were going to their next game
01:14:01.100 and she held a presser before the game all about herself she went on i i never do soundbikes more
01:14:09.320 than a minute i told the team to make an exception here because i want you to hear it all and then
01:14:14.240 we're going to analyze it like the zapruder film watch no i'm going to start today um you know this
01:14:21.160 isn't necessarily for those people that are in this room um this is more for an online community
01:14:27.760 that's trying to create narratives that simply don't exist,
01:14:33.520 trying to create a fabrication or distortion of who I am, of what I'm about.
01:14:39.140 Our players' success, our players' health and wellness,
01:14:42.360 our players' safety is always a top priority for me.
01:14:44.640 One of the things I pride myself on is my relationships with players.
01:14:48.420 For those who have anything to say about the play in the last game,
01:14:52.200 I didn't see the play in real time.
01:14:53.680 I went straight to a press conference.
01:14:55.540 I thought the play got called right.
01:14:56.760 Thankfully, Sophie's okay.
01:14:58.720 Was it egregious?
01:15:00.000 Absolutely.
01:15:01.240 When you have a chance to watch that over and over and over on replay,
01:15:05.340 you can see that.
01:15:06.780 I didn't have that in real time.
01:15:10.920 Were there any suggestions?
01:15:11.840 I take personally any suggestions that I don't 100% always have my players back.
01:15:18.240 I ride with them 10 toes down all the time, all the time.
01:15:22.240 They know that.
01:15:23.240 it's a shame that we can't have an opportunity to talk about what great basketball they're playing
01:15:29.020 because they are playing playing okay the reality is with me i will always lead with love
01:15:39.820 i will always lead with grace i will always lead with humility and i will always lead with
01:15:47.320 integrity doesn't mean i'll always get it right i'm also human the hate the fear-mongering the
01:15:55.840 divisiveness the stuff that's trying to hijack our league will not win okay it won't win
01:16:04.260 we are united we are connected we will not be divided
01:16:11.340 every day these women put their on the line every day when they go low we go high love will win
01:16:23.320 grace will win humility will win and kindness will win i stand by them 0.98
01:16:31.120 i will always stand by them everybody else can go to hell 0.94
01:16:34.480 who does she think she is 1.00
01:16:42.940 i've got you bravo well done stephanie love and kindness go to fucking hell 1.00
01:16:52.780 oh we lost the plot does he come back 1.00
01:16:58.380 come back i but when they go low we go i go to hell oh wait with stephanie no you're doing it 0.59
01:17:05.600 wrong we gotta talk sister this is not the way this this gal is entertaining okay so let's go
01:17:14.280 over it i i'm gonna start i'm i'm me me the whole thing well but no no she's leading with
01:17:21.640 humility megan so it's not all about her true then she's got her dropping her g's
01:17:27.560 trying they're trying to create narratives she's got a little the she's got a little of the uh
01:17:32.980 what's her name hayley stevens in her just just a tad then she goes uh who narratives about who i
01:17:39.460 am and what i'm about actually none of us gives two shits about that whatsoever we just saw that 0.61
01:17:44.520 you didn't have your players back and thought it was terrible like no one really cares who you are 0.52
01:17:48.440 or what you're about actually um okay i i did not see the play in real time this is her defense for
01:17:54.620 why she didn't have Sophie's back. Perhaps you shouldn't have commented on it then. Perhaps you
01:17:59.640 should have said, I didn't see it. And therefore I will reserve judgment on what nay was trying to 0.98
01:18:06.540 do, trying and what she wasn't till, you know, you've seen it because that would be the responsible 0.99
01:18:12.100 thing to do. Um, I, I take personally any suggestion that I don't have my players back.
01:18:18.340 Okay. We don't care about you. No one cares if you're offended or what you're taking personally.
01:18:24.120 man this is a fucking playing they're exactly fucking playing okay tough guy all right we got 0.99
01:18:32.460 it and and it's a shame we can't talk about that that they're now why is it that we're not just 0.99
01:18:37.980 talking about the plan emily because you try to refresh my memory if you could you know i think
01:18:44.700 it is the just abject violence being committed against a couple of the white players
01:18:49.620 the war and this actually is what drives me easier yes wmba thing than anything else is
01:18:57.520 they're doing the classic move of when someone punches you and you punch back and the ref
01:19:02.420 throws the flag at the person who punched back that's what they're doing they started this 0.96
01:19:07.000 bullshit caitlin clark was popular because she was shooting wild three-pointers she was making 0.97
01:19:10.640 three-point records in her rookie year over and over again she was popular because she was making 0.98
01:19:14.640 the game more exciting they're the ones that racialized it they're the ones that put boys
01:19:18.880 in girls sports everyone else is just responding right exactly right and it's like your play so
01:19:26.260 i'm sorry but it was a player in your league who tweeted out white privilege um we're i'm pretty
01:19:33.580 sure we're allowed to comment on that i you then defended that player who tried to break your
01:19:40.640 player's neck from the look of it so we have thoughts are we not allowed to have thoughts 0.90
01:19:45.360 stephanie um is that the kind of plan fucking plan that we're not allowed to comment on um this 0.98
01:19:52.460 gal's not ready for prime time that's what's clear and the best was just the the icing on the cake 0.97
01:19:56.900 like we will leave with love and grace and integrity hate and fear-mongering will not win
01:20:02.520 when they go low we go high fuck off there's an amazing how the hell there's an amazing episode 0.99
01:20:10.820 of the office where they're coaching dwight to give a speech at like a paper distributing 0.99
01:20:15.620 convention and they show him like fascist speeches and he's up there giving this really boring speech
01:20:22.160 and he's like pounding the podium and it's really contrived that's exactly what she just did to the
01:20:27.960 the table pound it was like what are you trying to audition for like a movie that's hysterical
01:20:34.620 it's a very good idea i you know i've never watched the office
01:20:37.740 i know don't admit that in public you'd like it you gotta start from i know i need to
01:20:45.360 there are so many cultural references to it that i've seen clips of course but like i've
01:20:49.880 never seen the whole series and it's on my bucket list okay last but not least we have got to talk
01:20:55.900 about mckenna okay there is big news in the case stand by hold on a second uh i don't want to
01:21:04.000 ad lib it. Where is it? Here it is, right? Is this? No, also, where did it come? Under producers here.
01:21:12.840 Okay, yeah, I just don't want to screw it up. McKenna West, the surrogate who has been pregnant 0.99
01:21:18.760 with baby Gabriel and in a fight with his birth parents, his biological parents over whether he
01:21:25.020 could be aborted, which she refused to do, and whether he would be entitled to life-saving care
01:21:31.260 upon birth, his due date September 2nd, has just given birth. Gabriel is here. He was born three
01:21:39.880 weeks early in a Texas hospital. This happened just as we were on the air last hour. According
01:21:45.680 to McKenna's lawyer, Lincoln Wilson, who was on the program last Thursday, reading you the news,
01:21:51.120 McKenna gave birth today in Texas. She was not able to hold or see the baby due to the temporary
01:21:56.820 restraining order the Texas court entered yesterday. It is believed that the biological
01:22:00.760 parents are present and that due to another order of the Texas court, baby Gabriel will soon be
01:22:07.140 receiving the life-saving surgery that McKenna has fought so hard for. He also shares that baby
01:22:13.160 Gabriel would not need the surgery within an hour, more like within a few days, but what he definitely
01:22:19.100 did need was to get on medication that stabilizes him and keeps his heart open to allow the surgery
01:22:25.660 to take place. Thankfully, yesterday's order ensures that he will get that care and is getting
01:22:32.280 that care. He also now has his own guardian appointed to look out for his interests,
01:22:36.840 a guardian ad litem, which is big. That person's job is to look out for not the birth mother, 0.91
01:22:41.380 not the biological parents, but Gabriel only and will fight only for the baby. Thank God.
01:22:48.840 So we don't know whether the biological parents are there because she went three weeks early
01:22:54.400 And it's possible they weren't there. But it's very sad that McKenna wasn't able to hold the baby. It's very sad for the baby that he wasn't able to be on his mother's chest and have that skin to skin contact. It's extremely comforting for babies, for newborns. That seems cruel to me, seems cruel to the baby. And I wonder what the story is with these biological parents, Emily.
01:23:19.120 That is amazing that the order was yesterday and she went into labor three weeks early and had to, I mean, thank God, thank God truly that she went to Texas. The order came down yesterday. Yes. We pray for the doctors that are working on a little on a little baby because that can't be easy either.
01:23:36.300 i know no it's so true thank god she hooked up with alliance defending freedom i'm telling you
01:23:43.160 if you want if you're looking for somebody to donate to alliance defending freedom 100 honestly
01:23:48.920 they do the lord's work like literally they're doing the lord's work there and uh this is one
01:23:54.180 of their cases and this is this guy used to be with adf and he is representing her and i'm i'm
01:24:00.660 sure he told her you need to leave alaska and get down to texas where the law is much better
01:24:05.400 for the unborn and she did and she did it soon she did it early you know because babies do come
01:24:11.760 early they come three weeks early all the time and uh lo and behold she was here thursday and
01:24:16.860 look what look what happens within you know less than a week that's a miracle she gave birth
01:24:20.580 she thanks to her thanks to mckenna that baby had his legal rights represented and protected
01:24:27.820 by the texas courts and to his credit ken paxton the current ag of texas stepped in
01:24:33.200 and argued on behalf of McKenna as well,
01:24:35.620 which I'm sure made a difference and good for him
01:24:38.040 because it's one thing to say you're pro-life
01:24:40.040 and it's quite another to actually get in there
01:24:41.900 and start swinging when it matters,
01:24:44.700 when it's just one life. 1.00
01:24:46.100 You know, like that's one thing about Christians, 0.81
01:24:48.940 about most pro-life Republicans
01:24:51.660 and pro-life Democrats too, for that matter,
01:24:53.540 is just one life.
01:24:55.640 They will fight for.
01:24:56.820 Each one matters so much.
01:24:58.940 What a beautiful thing to stand for, you know?
01:25:01.160 Now this birth mother, McKenna, the surrogate mom, no matter what happens, will always be able to look at this child and say, I fought for you.
01:25:12.380 I saved you.
01:25:14.160 She has saved him thus far.
01:25:17.180 And let's just hope and pray that he's able to be saved now that he's here.
01:25:21.740 And it's forcing so many important legal questions, which you've covered exceptionally well, that because of how quickly surrogacy technology evolved,
01:25:30.040 I think a lot of people didn't necessarily even think like there was just an episode actually of Keeping Up with the Kardashians where this came up where Khloe had twins and in a surrogate.
01:25:40.380 And they were wondering, well, could the surrogate, if they don't want to have twins, abort?
01:25:44.880 And they clearly just hadn't really thought that through, that these were their babies and another human being and there would be legal repercussions.
01:25:51.600 And so cases like these do force us to confront the legal, philosophical, deep questions.
01:25:57.900 And it's about time we do.
01:25:59.400 It's pastime that we do.
01:26:01.820 I'm sorry.
01:26:03.200 You may be the biological parents, but you bring a third person into the relationship
01:26:08.700 of giving birth to your child, and that person's going to have strong opinions on something
01:26:14.860 like abortion, no matter what she's signed.
01:26:18.760 That's just the truth.
01:26:20.620 If you don't want to have to deal with those issues, have your own baby or adopt.
01:26:25.760 But if you want to do it this way with a surrogate, that other person's going to have a say.
01:26:31.520 That's really what this case showed us.
01:26:33.980 You can't force her to get an abortion.
01:26:36.980 You can't.
01:26:37.960 They tried.
01:26:38.940 It failed.
01:26:40.100 You can't.
01:26:41.600 She actually does have a say by God, by right, you know, and she saved this baby's life.
01:26:48.620 And if he's able to be saved and to have a thriving childhood, I pray God that's the
01:26:53.740 case he will have her to thank for it and um i you know i just wonder emily i like what if the
01:27:01.280 parents the birth parents they get him the life-saving care because now there's a national
01:27:06.780 spotlight on them and there's a guardian ad litem insisting on it do they raise this child now
01:27:11.740 do they do they look at this child and say we didn't want you as soon as we found out there
01:27:18.240 was something wrong with you we tried to have you killed we went to court to insist on our right to
01:27:24.600 be able to do it but we lost and then you came into the world and we figured uh he's here and
01:27:31.080 this is my own opinion this is my own judgment of how how their role in this is unfolded but
01:27:37.140 what do they how do they handle that it's rare that i'm looking at a glass as being half full
01:27:42.380 as opposed to half empty but there may be a real glass hole half full scenario here where
01:27:46.720 they have a living, breathing baby that was born of them and see the error of their ways and are
01:27:53.760 able to make a cause out of it and publicly talk about how they got this wrong and how they're
01:28:00.220 very grateful for this beautiful living baby made in God's image. And they can take that message to
01:28:06.200 the public. I hope and pray that's what happens given their conduct so far. I doubt that's what's
01:28:10.400 going to happen. But obviously having a living, breathing baby that you can hold changes you.
01:28:17.300 And that could be enormously persuasive. It really could be. And maybe that'll be the case.
01:28:22.300 And they will be amazing surrogates for this message that many people need to hear.
01:28:27.820 Maybe I shouldn't be optimistic about that, but there is a real opportunity if that's what
01:28:31.840 happens for this little baby to change hearts. Yeah. Yeah. He's going to have to change his heart
01:28:39.360 in order to live. And he may be changing a lot of other hearts along the way with his journey
01:28:45.940 and his story, we hope of survival and wellness. God bless McKenna. I'm sure she's going through
01:28:51.580 it. This has got to be very emotional for her because she's saved him and yet she can't hold
01:28:56.780 him. She can't help him. She can't comfort him. And we don't know what's happening with the birth
01:29:02.520 parents. We will find out and we will bring you the update tomorrow. Emily, thanks for everything
01:29:08.280 you do for us here at the MK Media Company
01:29:12.420 and on the air, both at SiriusXM and otherwise.
01:29:15.720 We love you so much.
01:29:16.600 You're the best.
01:29:17.160 Lots of love, Megan.
01:29:17.800 Thank you.
01:29:18.940 We're back tomorrow with Maureen Callahan.
01:29:21.460 We'll see you all day.
01:29:24.120 Thanks for listening to The Megan Kelly Show.
